They were, there were people that were really like had impressive resumes and she was one of them. Yeah. At first, the apprentice was kind of a serious thing. Yeah. It was like people that like going to business, like real business people, like lawyers and all this other stuff. Also, she was about Donald Trump. Yeah. And you know, but at that time, people didn't know, you know, what Donald Trump was going to morph into. But, you know, she was like early on there. So she had a lot of shit going on for it. So when I say that, that's what I'm saying. And also, she's just a very nice person. You know, I'm saying we were all very friendly. The, the TCU black community, such as it is, was very united for the most part. I want to raise the roof for that. Yeah. We got some fun stuff about the show. We have a more, we have another story in the source besaga that Joel was refusing to discuss. It's been very interesting. The fact that there's a new angle of this story. So we'll hold that for a second. But first, last night was the NBA draft, 2026 version. And we got some guys drafted in the NBA van. I just wanted to hit this at the top. I mean, is there any takeaways you had from Jesus Christ? Yeah, man, I just went to hit this at the top. Hey, are you okay? No. Okay. So look, there were the draft was remarkable for the lack of surprises that it had. Yeah. Very, very, very, no surprises in this draft. And I actually think that it shook out, even though it shook out the way a lot of people thought it was going to shake out most teams that got their young players, probably made the right decisions. And as you know, you know, the player that I'm most interested in seeing, it's actually it's Caleb Wilson. I think how he performs with Chicago, a team that's kind of been star starved for a long time. But he, to me, is he's an incredible upside player. I think boozer, the bands, all of these, all of these guys are going to bring what it is that they bring, hey, cuff, but I think Caleb Wilson is a true, true upside prospect and a city that wants a star has its opportunity to like coalesce around the star. What do you think? That's not just me doing the North Carolina thing. That's me that like I was excited about him going to Chicago, even though it wasn't much of a surprise. Yeah. I mean, he had the photo ready with this bull sweatshirt on for when he was a kid. I mean, Caleb, everybody was trying to figure out who the fourth guy in this draft was for quite some time. And last summer, it was sort of Michael Brown, Nate at Mint, were the two guys who were determined and Caleb put a lot of work in this past season to get into that fourth spot. I think it's perfect for him not to go before one of those three guys. I think if he did, that would be his whole career. It's like him versus boozer, him versus Peterson, him versus AJ. Now slotted at number four, goes to the big market, goes to the city that he's going to embrace 100% and like he's just, I mean, talking about a motor, I mean, just a great motor on the floor. I think he's a great person. His family, I got to meet his family a little bit. They're just great people. So it's an incredible storyline. I said this last time to my brother. I felt like Kobe White was John the Baptist for Chicago. And I think they got Jesus, you know what I mean? Like you had a nice little, you know, Jordan was first. And then we had, you know, the next one. I don't think he's going to say that. I'm going to say that. No, you can't say that though. I think you don't think so. You can't say somebody. That's a lot of what you can't, you can't do that with you. I mean, John the Baptist at first, they thought he was the one and then he was like, it's not me guys. I got another guy coming, you know, that was Kobe White. I get the analogy. I get it, but I just want to make sure that you know that I don't, I don't support that. I'm just trying to devout, devout Christian van, like biblical. Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't, there's only been one Jesus. Okay. He banned, he banned Jellicle. Oh, there you go. I was thinking, look, man, I was thinking about going to church more every, you know, I think my big concern with Caleb is that everyone's kind of jinxing him by saying, like Bill went on his show and kind of, like, puffed his chest out about how great he's going to be. I'm a little bit worried about that. But I, uh, I just know his work. I think, I think he's a great worker. I'm excited to see what he does in Chicago. And I think it's going to be a great pick for them. But like you said, the first seven picks, I think all, all seven of those guys are in good positions to do really well, which doesn't always happen, you know, and a cuff going to Sacramento. My God, BJ Armstrong is there. He's from Detroit. You got a Detroit kid coming out there. Scott Perry, coached his dad. They got that connective tissue. So I'm excited to see a cuff in Sacramento, something exciting for Chicago for Sacramento. So that's a all good stuff. Joel, any draft takeaways from you? You know, it's, I think it's going to be really good for me, man. I'm right here in the DMV. And you know, Joe House said he wants to take you to a game and he raised the roof this morning. Oh, he did. I would love to go to a game with house, man. I mean, what happened? Joe House on the gambling show this morning. I started the show, hosting it. And he was excited for DC. And he said, I'm going to raise the roof for tailgate. And he said, you want to come do a game? Yeah. Oh, absolutely. I mean, that's, it would be nice if the Wizards were good now. So I could start going to a game. I think DC's star for a winner in basketball, like Georgetown is not really hitting anymore. Maryland is in the gutter. You know, it'd be nice. It'd be nice for the Wizards. Finally, you know, it became sort of a serious franchise. So in, I mean, this kid, man, I mean, I've seen AJ advance the play a few times. Like, I don't, he was really good, really productive, clearly the best player on the floor. But I'm just, I'm always cautious about projecting the very athletic six foot nine guy, because I've seen that not work out so many times before. Andrew Wiggins, too. AJ and Caleb are sort of the same frame that yeah, because I remember like Andrew Wiggins, Harrison Barnes, like these, well, I remember these guys coming out school. And they're like, that's the next one. That's going to be the man, you know, the man. Those guys didn't work out. I didn't. They worked out. I mean, they weren't number one picks. They weren't number one picks. worthy. Well, Harrison was the Senator Barnes was a number one peak at all. But when he came in to college, he was seen as the consensus player in his class. Yeah, but what I'm telling you is that Andrew Wiggins just this let you know, you might say that Andrew Wiggins hasn't been something that's been able to bully a franchise and be like whatever number. Andrew Wiggins has had successful career. He's been a successful player in the NBA second best player of the championship team. I look, I have no problem saying that he had a successful career. But if you if if the goal was to get the best player in the draft or to be the best player in the draft, he didn't come close like his teammate ended up being much better than him. What was the best player in that draft cast? Yeah, it was okay. Yeah, honest for sure. Yeah, honest, but yeah, honest wasn't, but yeah, honest, I don't think he honest was in a lottery. Was he? No, he was like 15. Yeah, he was 15. So like that. So that. So whenever the guys aren't in a lottery, it doesn't count because we're not talking about potential with those guys. We're talking about projects, even though I will say this. Hmm, I will never forget this. I will never get this in all of the times. Okay. I'm about to say. Okay. I'm driving down the street in LA. I'm listening to Michael Thompson from ESPN radio. Oh, he's dad. Yeah, he's dad legendary Lika legend there. I wouldn't say he's a legendary Lika. Let's see, you don't squibble with me. I was talking to Michael Thompson, who he was on the legendary, but he was on the lakeers. Okay, he was definitely on the lakeers. And he himself was the first pick of the draft. Yes, Michael Thompson was. I mean, the reason Michael Thompson had that prominent radio shows because he's a legendary Lika. It's because yeah, he's a, he is a Lika. That is true. Maybe he is a legendary Lika part of a legendary Lika. I don't know, whatever. Maybe you're right. Okay. So he said during that draft, they were like, if you had the first pick, who would you take? Because everybody was talking about Wiggins and coming out cans and stuff like that. He was like, if I had the first pick in this draft, the guy that I would take is named Janice Antitucumpo. And they were like, what? He was like, the guy that I would take. And he's like, it wouldn't happen right away for him. It would probably happen three, four years down the line because he's a young kid. But if you watch him, he is a fluidly moving seven footer who doesn't project to anything, which means he could be everything. I was like, yo, who the fuck is it? There was some tape of Janice playing in Europe that had been going around. So there was buzz. But at the same time, like Michael Thompson said during that thing that Janice would be the guy that he would take, it is legit. He wanted to hold his NBA takes. I've ever heard of that. That's unfortunate because it was not the Andrew Wiggins draft. It was the Anthony Bennett draft. Well, it doesn't matter. But like what I, but what I'm, what I'm, what was Wiggins? 2014. Yeah. Yeah. Whoever was getting drafted that year. Maybe it wasn't Wiggins. That's the minute you know, V. That is, that is what Michael Thompson said. He said that he would have drafted Janice first. I'm not sure if it was Wiggins. I only got that because you said it was the Wiggins. Yeah. So I was going off what you said. I didn't say that. I didn't say that. But look, here's that draft. Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Joel and Beat. Aaron Gordon could be a player. Don't take some Marcus smart, Julius Randall Nick Stauskas. No, no, no Avonley, Alfred Peyton. I feel like Peyton had a moment, you know, Doug McDermott, Dario Sarge, Zach Levine at 13. See, always get a guy like in that 13 range, you know, you're at 13. You get down past this. So let's, so let's let's go, let's go to this. So in B is an MVP. So he's off the table, right? Yeah. But if you put the Gordon Levine, Andrew Wiggins, if you jumble all of those guys up, I mean, I will take Wiggins. No, I would take them over Gordon. I would take, I mean, why? Why? Well, I mean, I, I mean, I'm going to redraw if you take in beat first. And I think you'd take Wiggins second probably. Yeah, why would you take you? What makes Aaron Gordon? What what makes Aaron Gordon? Like a slam dunk. Yeah, I mean, I think he's the third best player on a championship team. Wiggins is the second best player. Yeah, but he was a, he was a, he's a superior defender. Um, he's just, I feel like he's more, well, I don't know. I had some injuries. But he's injured. He's injured a lot. The winning player. Then I felt like Andrew Wiggins is still like people, people to the, to the final day in his NBA, they gonna be like, man, when Andrew Wiggins finally, you know, taps into all this talent. It's going to really come together. He's going to be a scary player. You sound crazy, man. Wiggins. And like, Andrew, Andrew, maybe you don't. Maybe that was too much. I apologize. Yeah, Andrew, like, and Andrew Wiggins had, Andrew Wiggins had two points of his career right now. He was an empty stat stuffer in Minnesota. Yeah. Until, uh, and he was, he was, he certainly was. But he was scored. When you look at the, when you look back at the numbers, he was scored. Jimmy Butler, cat, those guys come in that like, he can't really deal with the culture changed there. Cat tries to ruin everyone. He also got screwed from day one. Like, yeah, Kevin love. Yeah, for Kevin love, like, it wasn't even supposed to be that like all that stuff. But what I'm saying, what I'm saying with him is that NBA champion All-Star rookie of the year. Like, like, he has, he got some accolades. Aaron Gordon. Aaron Gordon's win share as 50 win shares. Aaron Andrew Wiggins has 37.6. I don't know how seriously people take that as a stat, but that indicates to me that Aaron Gordon is a little bit more. This is not just fair to play or not. I think those three guys. I love Aaron Gordon is a winning player for sure. But I think that what Andrew Wiggins has been able to do in this part of his career, he was actually not he was in an incredibly important part to the Warriors run back. I mean, I really feel like y'all hyping it up a little bit now, Doug. I mean, he was, he was no doubt the second. Are you putting him over Dremond Green Tate? And that time in 2022, he was. No, man. He was the best actor on the team. He heads up the defense and that was one of the reasons they were able to win that. He was most important. All that sort of stuff. And obviously Dremond is so important for that team. But I'm just talking about second best player second option on that team. It was definitely Wiggins. Anyway, I'm against Jason Tate. I'm going to play him. I am. I am into Twilight Zone, Doug. Hold on. Let's see what the fuck Andrew Wiggins did. We here was at 2021, 2022. It's 2022. He did 16 and seven. He did 16 and seven in the playoffs. Got to trust your eyes too. Watching that. Yeah, you got to watch the games. He did six. He did seven in the playoffs, 33% of the game. Joel, you got to grab. He was out for a while with an undisclosed issue. I mean, there was a lot that happened after the fact. But 2022, Andrew Wiggins was a stud. Play great. I don't. I think that's a little bit of revisionism, but we can agree. No, I mean, in the moment, everyone was like, man, finally, we got the real Wiggins. That's the very did it again. But Andrew Wiggins stay with the Warriors. And he was gone in with one three years three and a half. Yeah, he missed all season with his dad. Yeah, because what happened with his dad. All right. Hey, so let me ask you this. So you say Andrew Wiggins is an example of the six nine athletic guy that that flamed out. That's what you're saying. Yeah, just not flamed out. The problem is the problem is that he's six six. So that like, so it's so like he he's not so that's not you'll even know how tall he goes on. You're trying. That's about some fucking wishes. I mean, you're like, you're saying they have a tight. Yeah, like six for that kind of that kind of prototype play. And reddish would probably be better. Isaiah Evans out of Duke 24 people invited to the draft. 23 of them get drafted. One does not. He also had a $3 million brochure or whatever on his suit and like kind of went all the way out. You come back for the second day of the draft. This is the Brony James world that we lived in. They created a TV experience for both days of the draft. Because of Ronnie. Do you wear the suit again, Joel? Or do you just come back in a t-shirt? Oh bro, you got to wear it. You got to have a follow-up outfit, bro. You got to come down. It's just really good because it's always gonna be Attractive people in really beautiful places places that you like man. I would mind going to a cab. Yeah We're going to law cabin for the holidays. It's like Vermont. Yeah It's just beautiful people in a beautiful setting and it's nothing really bad. It's gonna happen So I found it to be refreshing entertainment Yeah, I honestly I honestly was shocked at how much I enjoyed Christmas at the catnip cafe I mean that title sounds like Chachi B.T. wrote it and created a hallmark movie, but um, they had Tadiada Ali and one of these man Hey, Joel the hallmark offices are in studio city. I had a meeting there once upon a time Did you really they were trying to start a podcast network group? That's what they thought they wanted to do but They went back to the movie. It was a really it's that studio city, man. I really like studio city. Yeah. We have belabored the point for quite too long story of the week The NFL is declining to hold a supplemental draft this summer meaning Britton source Be will not be eligible to enter the NFL in 206 obviously last week. We had Jeffrey Kessler Shot out of a cannon on this show. He responded via email. He said this is an unlawful action by the NFL and violation of the CBA. We will be taking this matter to the NFL PA There was some more quotes. Gidele apparently has emphasized participation in the NFL is a privilege that carry significant responsibilities including accountability Biola counts if you are a talented player with potential for future success.
