Natalie Just Got What She Deserves

That's claude.ai.spotify. I'm going to continue to talk about Natalie Harp. One, because it's funny. Two, because she's a bad person. And three, because she just got what she deserves. After weeks of Republicans telling us that we're being so mean by talking about poor little Natalie Harp, only just a baby 35-year-old with a senior job in the White House, no, no, no, their narrative has blown up in their face and in the funniest way possible for Natalie. And maybe the most dangerous. For her and Trump's relationship as well. We've got a lot to get into in this video. I'm very excited for this Natalie discussion. But I think what is most important about the bombshell that was just dropped on Ms. Harp, or maybe soon to be Ms. Trump, is that she's been doing this for a while. She's not new to this. This has been her plan all along. And that's where I want to start. The fact that Natalie Harp has always been trying to climb the Trump ladder because it explains why she deserves to get, what she just got. And it's hilarious. I want to start with a clip from an interview I did with Sarah Matthews, who resigned from Donald Trump's White House after January 6th, but knew Natalie Harp. And what she shared here is very important to this story. And just the general context of why this is a person who needs to be investigated. Yeah, you know, it's so funny because when I was working on the campaign for a year, and then at the White House the last seven months of the first admin, I met, you know, the vice president. I met almost, you know, every cabinet official, all these things at different events. I met members of the first family, met all of them at one point or another. The only person I never met was Melania Trump. I never met the first lady, even though I was the deputy spokesperson for the president on his campaign and then in the White House. And I think that that's pretty telling. That kind of sums it up where it was this known thing that she was just not around and she didn't want to be around. She didn't want to stay at the White House. She thought the White House was old and falling apart and she wanted to be in New York and do her own thing. I think she does have different things that she's passionate about. She's done a lot when it comes to foster care and I give her credit for that. That's why she showed up at the White House because it was part of her foster care work that she did. That's why she was at the White House this past week, but I have to admit that the timing is a little suspect with all of the Natalie Harp things happening in the news and floating around that she decided to make an appearance. And I will admit that I also thought that her joke was kind of funny, acknowledging it. But we know, too, that it's been reported that Melania gets paid for showing up at events when they were on the campaign trails, which is crazy to think that you have to pay your own wife to show up somewhere. But I wonder if her rate has gone up after all of this news, because I'm sure she doesn't like any of this being out there, whether or not it's true of if there is something inappropriate happening between Trump and Natalie Harp. Again, I don't think so, but I just think it's a bizarre relationship. But I can guarantee that Melania does not like that being out there in the news, just as she didn't like when everything came to light with Stormy Daniels because she thought it was embarrassing, as it is. That is embarrassing for any wife to be. That is embarrassing to be put in that situation. And so I think that I imagine her rate has gone up now, given all of the news happening this week. So Natalie Harp, for whatever reason, whether it was because, you know, her mother predisposed her to be in a cult with the way that she was homeschooled or that she had always been a Trump fanatic, or maybe she's just, you know, a little dumb, a little dumb. And her brother said that, you know, she was seeking out a father figure. I don't want to get into the. Into the psychologizing of that, because it might get a little gross, a little quick. But yet Natalie was was always going to be a Trump fanatic. And she is. And so she was trying to climb the ranks. Now, there have been some people who have pushed back on the idea that her doing so might mean that she's an asset of some kind for the Israelis, for the Russians. I don't know. Either way, it doesn't really matter. It's just weird. And this person was so desperate to always be around Mr. Trump and was going out of their way in a way that even made like White House staff a little little queasy, a little uneasy, a little weirded out, because, of course, people want to climb professionally. But there was something different about what Natalie was doing. And there's certainly something different about the way Natalie behaves now, sprinting down to catch Trump, always being at his side, getting in the back of a motorcade in the trunk. Yeah, that's a weird individual. We've been saying on this show for longer than, you know, just the the John Ossoff cycle that there needs to be more information. And that's what Natalie Harp is now facing down. She's getting what she deserves. And that's the public caring about how weird she is. Poll finds huge number of voters want answers on Natalie Harp. Many Americans want to learn more about what Natalie Harp is doing for Trump. Americans are itching to know more about Natalie Harp. A new poll from the Daily Mail and JL Partners found that 42% of Americans believe more questions need to be answered about the 35 year olds assistant role in Donald Trump's White House. Only 22% said that they were satisfied with what they already know, while only 36% said that they were unsure. Split along party lines, Republicans were less curious about Natalie Harp's presence, of course, with only 29% wanting answers. Which is still a lot for MAGA. Well, 58% of Democrats wanted to learn more about the president's human printer. Among independents, 37% sought more answers about Natalie Harp's role. Well, 17% were satisfied. So what's clear here, like what is clear in in the rest of the Trump corruption and Trump? That's a little weird. It's a little uneasy. That's a little strange. Amongst all those stories. What is clear is that people want more answers and they also want to know why this is the focus of the president. You know, that was the point that John Ossoff made so importantly. It was one about focus. And really, that's the reason, above all else, why you saw the MAGA freak out, why you saw Scott Jennings immediately try to pivot to say that that Ossoff was suggesting that Donald Trump and Natalie Harp were, you know, doing the old horizontal cha-cha. We're going to keep it PG on this show. And he said that, one, because he was just trying to be a hack for Trump and he still wants to be the press secretary. But he was also saying that because if we discuss the merits of what Ossoff was saying, suggesting that the president is wholly out of touch with reality, focused on things that don't matter, and in love with his aide because she shows him nice AI slop articles, that would be much worse for Trump. And that is the reality. What Ossoff was commenting on was the nature of Trump's lack of focus. And that's a problem that everybody acknowledges, including in the White House, and including in the Republican Party, including in the Congress, and they're very worried about it. Right? And it's why we need to look into Natalie Harp, because what is so attractive about her to Trump, especially in this demented state? Well, clearly a lot, clearly that she makes him feel better. But also, it seems. It seems that she takes the kind of responsibility away. I wouldn't be surprised if Natalie Harp was just sending posts on behalf of Trump, or people were telling Natalie what to post. This is clearly someone with a little bit of power and influence in Donald Trump's White House. We talked about that Zateo reporting where Natalie is the conduit to insider trading. And she's also connected to lots of foreign leaders. Natalie Harp is probably someone. Donald Trump loves because it means he has to focus on the job less. Donald Trump doesn't like doing the work of being president. And if Natalie is taking away that responsibility, then he's thrilled. And that's what we heard from Maggie Haberman. This is not a not powerful person. Note in your new article that Natalie Harp never takes a day off, not even a Sunday, right? She is committed and she is indefatigable. How much does Trump depend on her? A lot. And it's important to note, Erin. You know, in our reporting, that story was by Sean McCreish, my colleague and me. Jonathan and I have separate reporting in Regime Change just about how Trump views her. And part of it is, you know, he will describe to other aides that, and said this during the interregnum period, that, you know, everyone else will go off and make money. She'll never leave. That essentially she is the person who loves him as much as his wife and children. And she serves a specific purpose. In a White House, in a government, there are other channels, official channels of information. You know, she doesn't provide him with his national security briefing, the presidential daily brief. She is not the White House staff secretary, which is supposed to be the last step for paper flow. She's not the press secretary from whom certain media requests are supposed to come. She is a channel by which, as you said, foreign leaders try to reach him if they can't some other way. She has a channel by which he reaches people he sees on television, who he likes what they are saying, or that he will just send out notes to. She is with him so much of the day during those meetings, and she is talking to him throughout the evening about social media posts. So she is a specific channel of information, but she is one that he considers very important, and so do other people outside the White House. I know it may seem like I'm blowing it out of proportions. I hope it doesn't because this is truly what I believe, but this is a person with a lot of sway, and I make that point so incessantly because she does need to be investigated. You know, I'm going to be asking every Democrat on oversight or judiciary when they come on this show, "Do you plan to launch an investigation into Natalie Harp? Do you want Natalie Harp to come before Congress?" And I expect that answer to be yes because of that polling showing that the public is still quite interested, but also it's the right thing to do. Right now we are seeing Todd Blanch make all the communications inside the White House and between White House staff and the president privileged, as to say that Congress cannot access it. What? So you're hiding the files and the creation of more files and files about covering up the files? Yet we need to know this information, and who else better to get it than the literal human printer who knows everything? But again, let's come back to the point Asaf was making because I want to close on something that he said about this. It's about a lack of focus. It's about a lack of care. It's about Donald Trump doing as he always does whatever Donald Trump, whatever makes Donald Trump happy in a given moment, and that is why he called her out, and that's what I want to close on right here. Said, we just heard it, he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar. Why do you think that's the line that bothers Donald Trump the most? Lawrence, it's been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week and about Natalie Harp. These White House staffers are adults, public officials paid by the taxpayer with immense power in positions of public trust. And whether it's Natalie Harp printing out Donald Trump's daily dose of delusion and flattery, or Peter Navarro steering taxpayer-funded loans to Trump family investments, or Pete Hegseth deluding the president daily into deepening this quagmire in the Middle East, no one cares about their feelings. The sailors on the Lincoln are fighting his war, a war based on lies, while he plays with his new ballroom, flies around on a jet given to him by a foreign prince, and retreats into this circle of sycophantic aides who tell him every day what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear. This entire White House is responsible for lying the country into war, and for the rest of their careers, they will be known for having participated in this obscenity. The message of the midterms needs to be about Donald Trump. Yes, absolutely. And there are people who say, and I've said it for a long time, that we need to have a message other than Trump. So like, yeah, it needs to be a referendum on him and what we are going to do when we take power away from him, both how we will hold him accountable and how we actually have an affirmative vision. But that starts with Trump. And I think any distractions from that, that are, you know, intra-party weird little squabbles with the center trying to punch left or attacks on Hassan Piker are a waste of time. The case that we have to make over the next 60 days is that this is a party of serious people who are focused on serious things. Clearly, John Ossoff is, well, except when he made a comment about Hassan. I'm not going to say anything more about that. But we need to be serious people.
