Jota on kokeilu. - I don't know why you're not supposed to do it. - It was Bible study, it's like, "Don't feel shame." And I'm like, "I feel shame." - No. - It's good. - No, we were just making sure you were safe. - Yeah, I know. - 'Cause you're usually late. So I told everyone not to be concerned. - To be concerned, she always gets her 30 minutes late. - I'm always late, and then you're always later than me. - I know. (laughs) - You're a baby. - And so. - She's not that young anymore. (laughs) - I'm like out of the range, when I'm like, "The newborn, it's like, girl, "cale is your nursing." I told Cale, but I always miss burn workouts, like, or I always miss the world, but he goes, "How have you not made an adjustment?" Like, I was like, "I don't actually know." I'm just accepted. And he's like, "You should adjust." (laughs) But every day, every day, I'm like, "It's late to the same things." He's like, "How are you looking your life like this?" - That is actually such a great thing to think about. - Yeah, he's like, "How have you just not made a change?" (laughs) Okay, ouch. I'm like, you know, he said it like lighthearted, and then it kind of stuck with me. - I'm like, "That's not the day." (laughs) - That's such an interesting thing too. Like, you guys both work out too, a burn. I leave the house at A15 every single day. Like, that is the time I leave the house, and I get there plenty of time. - I have to leave before that. - But do you, you don't leave it like, that exact time every day? - No. - Usually, Augie poops his pants right around that time. - That happens every day. I'm like, "Okay, loading up, blow up." - We'll load up, don't do that. - The most of them changed diapers in my own garage. - Okay. - And I'm like, now is the time. - You're just standing there with your arms crossed, just waiting. - Damn, we're not going to the door, but-- - I can tell, you know, I'm mom knows. - Yeah, they have a picture. - I was like, "Are you doing it right now?" I was like, "No." And I'm like, "Get on your back." - Of course you are, because you have somewhere to be. - Right? - Exactly. - No, I'm like-- - Of course you are, 'cause we were on time. (laughs) - Anyway, I feel like I have high energy. What was your hope? - My hope is that. - Sometimes it's like that. No, I have a lot of hope. I just try to, I honestly can't think past this hour. (laughs) - Your hair. Your hair's different from what I was talking about. - Oh my God! - Oh my God, thank you! - You look gorgeous. You know what, this is funny. I chopped a lot off. Thank you for saying it look good. (laughs) - This is a goofy episode so far. - Sorry, I'm out of hand. - I haven't talked to people until this moment. (laughs) - You haven't talked to the adult yet, too. - I mean, my mom was here, but I wasn't really talking. She was talking to me, and I was like, nice. (laughs) I need a folder. Okay, I don't know what came over me when I went in to get my hair cut. I was like, I want to cut it short. She was like, how short we talk in? She kind of put her hands where, and I said, shorter. And then there, and she was like, I was like, shorter. She was like, okay, well maybe let's just do like a quick, you know, a rough chop, and then we'll go back and see, and fix it up. And I don't know what came over me. I was just very daring. I just kept telling, I was like, challenging her like, shorter, shorter, shorter. So the point where she was like, hey, it's not gonna look good. Like, you're here, it's so thick. And I need a texture and a thinker for that advice, because I'm trying to style it myself. I was like, go above the shoulder. - I feel like it's where you thought of the chin. I was like, good and crazy. And she goes, hey, you know what? That's not gonna look good on you. And I was like, I appreciate that. (laughs) They had to shut it down. But it just came over me. I just kept challenging. - I love that about hairdressers though. I feel like they are honest. Like, they are very-- - They have to be. - Yeah, 'cause it's a pretty long term thing. We don't like it. We go back to them and they fix it for free, you know? So it's like, they don't really want that. - They're like, I don't wanna see you again. - Yeah, I don't wanna see you again. - Please just never come back. For a long time. - No, it looks great. The mom chop. - Yeah, it was time. - How much did you get caught up? - I think my hair was like to my nip. - Nip? (laughs) - Yep. - Okay, great. Yeah. - I don't know. - I'm not gonna come on that. - Seven inches? - Six inches? - My heart, I guess, I don't know. I feel like I cycled through this one. All the time, probably like every four to six weeks where I just feel like I'm not productive. - I know. - And I'm just like, every day I'm just like, didn't get done what I wanted to done and then I just beat myself up and then I'm like, okay, well. - Yeah. Try again tomorrow, yeah. - Yeah, literally. - That's just one of those things. - I would say my heart is the same. - Just like, yeah. I'm like, I exhausted myself today. What do I have to show for it? - I know. I looked at my floors. This is one of the things that was really bothering me today. I just felt like our house was such a wreck. I looked around and I was like, if the food falls on the ground, it's not getting near anyone's mouth. Like, normally our house is clean enough to where if something falls on the floor, I don't blink and I. Our floors were so gross. There was no chance. Like, I wasn't gonna sit on the floor. It was just so gross. Like, our house was dirty. And I just was like, this is not, no. I feel sick to my son. I can't live like this. - No, I just, I feel like I had one too many days where I felt like I was just like hitting roadblocks. Like, so I couldn't check something off of my list and I was spinning my wheels. - Yeah. - That's hard. - Well, you know what, this is a new day. - Today's a new, today's a new day. - On the other side, I'd say, I feel like you've done everything, everything I've asked of you. You've done for me. - Really? - Yeah. - So I feel like every time I'm like (groans) and then I just started, and I'm like, frustrated with myself. Then I'm like, I just gotta go get mad at Matt right now. - Matt, get us done. - I just need some of the blame. - Yeah, the following day. - I feel like I've just been pointing out a lot of your flaws because I'm, I am feeling sorry. - Painting myself right now. - Right, right, right. - He goes, thank you for apologizing. (laughs) - Yesterday, Gil gave me a little trouble. - He was like, no, I'm not so response. - Because it feels like, it feels like shaky ground. Like when I'm like, gonna put myself out there 'cause I could lash back really thick, yes. 'Cause I'm feeling like, I'm doing this. - Yeah. - I'm doing this, but then if he doesn't respond right, it's really dangerous. So he's, I feel like he's just like, he was like quiet for a second, he goes, hey, thanks for saying that. I don't know. - I was like, that's a good response. - You're welcome. (laughs) - Yesterday, I was feeling so, I had a great day like in the morning, went to the gym, my mom and I went shopping. Like it was just a really fun morning. It's very divine, got us iables. And then the last like four hours of the day, Kilb, I said, come home at five so we can leave for the game. And then it was just a crazy four hours and Kilb got home 30 minutes late from work. And I was like, called and I said, where are you? And he said, I'm so sorry, I'm coming. And then when he got home, I was just feeling irritated. And, that's like, I'm, he goes, I'm so sorry. And then I looked at him and I was just like, I, there's no reason that I should be irritated. I went shopping today, I went to the gym, I had a fun girls morning. And just one hour of my day was stressful. And I'm like, taking it out on you. - Today was it, I actually don't want you to apologize. (laughs) - That was nice. - I was like, this is, this is a pride thing. (laughs) - It's a damn goodbye. - It was a really easy day. (laughs) - Like did that, but you were saying to me the other day 'cause I'm very volatile sometimes and sometimes after it's third diapers away, they just, you know, end up where they end up. - Yeah. - Like very, very kindly came up and said, thank you, you've done so much today, like doing the dishes and doing, like cleaning up the house. Like I really noticed that just like, can we be better about throwing the diapers away? - It was because, would your dogs eat them? - No. - They don't eat them anymore. He was just, he just-- - He's just got a problem. - He just hates them, you just hate them out. - Oh, you know a problem. - Right. - I explode it on him. I'm like, he's like, every time and then we debrief afterwards and he's like, how was I supposed to present that any nicer? - I'm like, you're just don't present it. You just don't say anything. - I honestly, there's something I need to know. - There's so many. - He's like, really? He knows when he's like, I'm like, just don't say it then. (laughs) - And you knew. - You knew it might be an issue. - He's like, got it, so can't say anything. (laughs) - So remember those other 15 diapers I did throw away? Like this is one. - I know. - Dang. - I fall on to that territory. - That's real life. That's real life. - Disgusting. - Well, that was good. Hopefully we can all relate to that. (laughs) But really everyone's gonna relate. - Everybody, exciting news. It's already gone live, the live event. I don't actually know if by the time you're hearing this, if there are any slots available, but if there are, check that link and snag your spot because they are limited and, I mean, I don't want to, to our own horns, but I'm expecting it's full at this point. - But mine's what gave it a shot. - It was full last time. That's why I thought you can. - And we're excited to see you if you're signed up. - So excited. - This will be really fun. We're doing a little workout, a little hangout afterwards, and it's gonna be really fun. - So fun. I cannot wait. - It's gonna be, it's tomorrow. - Yeah, tomorrow. - Yeah. - Oh, heck heck. - Heck girl. - Are you gonna get your trainer? - Mine's gonna work out. - I can't work out. - So what are you gonna do? - I'm just gonna get you to walk around the room. - I'll start doing my laps as I had phones on. - You're actually doing building laps. - You guys, I keep seeing the same neighbors, every time 'cause I also do like two laps. - Uh-huh. - I love it. - It's me again. - You never know when you're gonna find me. I got rained on this morning on my walk. - Oh, I love that. - It shakes my mind. - It's really nice. - It was dark though, so. - Oh, my gosh, I'd be five, three in the morning. - Yeah. - Oh my gosh. (laughing) - Gotta do what you gotta do. - It takes a long time and I can't take my kids with me. - It's true. So, who's a good idea? - I'm excited for today's episode. - I'm very excited. I was actually getting, like, a lot of these things that I'm brought up, I'm like passionate about. I'm like, I can talk forever about this. - Oh my gosh, you can't wait. - Well, that's actually, what's wrapping up? - This idea was one of our original ideas. We're doing an Abby's Favorites episode. - Think of us as Oprah. - Think of us as YouTubers. - Yes. - Yes. - Remember when YouTubers used to do like monthly favorites videos? - I loved that. That's actually my most YouTube era. I went back with this episode just to kinda like look at, I just went through some of the thumbnails of the ones I watched. - Yeah. - And I was like, oh my gosh, all these videos are like nine to 12 years ago. - Yes. - I used to watch them every month. - Yes. - Some of those OG beauty guru creators, Jacqueline Hill, I lived off her videos. - When everyone was talking about the naked palettes. - Oh.
- I still have my naked eyes, but everyone's got it! - It's surely exciting. - I have the naked two. I never got the two, it was cool toned, so. - Oh, I didn't know my tone level. (laughing) I just got what I got. - I know. - Thank you, Quince, for sponsoring today's episode. - I have been doing a little wardrobe reset recently. Quince is always a go-to for me. I really love focusing on quality products. That is something that I can speak to Quince for. Their pieces are just really well made, versatile. I specifically love their flee shorts. I talk about them a lot. They're just super comfortable. They're the perfect mom short, I feel like. And they can fit over my bump. And I anticipate I'll also be able to wear them after pregnancy as well. - I'm the same, I love quality pieces over quantity. They do a really good job of having really high quality fabrics. So we're talking 100% silk that's washable. Cash mirror blended sweaters. It's just nice knowing that the fabrics that you're putting on your body are well made. They're good for you, they're good for the planet. They use premium materials like 100% European linen, organic cotton, and super soft denim with styles starting around $50. Their spring pieces are lightweight, breathable, and effortless. The kind of things you can throw on and instantly look put together. That same focus on materials carries over into their accessories like their leather bags, which are made from a 100% hand woven Italian leather. Honestly, they look way more expensive than they are. - And how Quince does it is they work directly with the ethical factories to cut out the middle man to provide you with affordable prices with such high quality materials and fabrics. Quince.com/abbey. - Instead of going straight into our favorites, we're gonna talk about some of the, in our opinion, overhyped, overpraised, maybe overpriced products. Just ones that were kind of flops, let us down. And we actually pulled you guys on the Always Here podcast Instagram, which if you're not following us, give us a thumbs up there because it's really fun. We usually try to engage with you guys on their like every week for these episodes. So it's fun when this is kind of like a mutual thing. We give you some, you give us some. It's just fun. So you wanna start names with these? - Okay, you're not gonna agree with this first one. - No, I don't, I already don't. She said chumps, this is Ashland. - Chumps, you love chumps. - I mean, yeah, I think it's a great snack. - I've actually never had a chomp. - What? - You've never taken one from Abby's house? - I've never had a chomp. I get these turkish sticks from Sam's and to be honest, the casings on these beef sticks are a little freaky. But I- - Your turkish sticks are weird color. - They, yeah, they are. (laughing) - They're really thick. - They're thick and long. - I just think it's a good option to grow time by 'em. - To take the protein. - It is a good protein. - It's a good protein. - Yes. - Okay, this one says Stanley Cups. - You know, I would agree only because I love the 40 ounce traveler. I don't think that's overhyped, but it's a lid. - It's spilling. - It's spilling. - There's just better options now. Gracie said baby swaddles. - Mm-hmm. - I, that moral reflex, what are you doing talking about? - Yeah. (laughing) - Are your kids just chill? Your kids don't squirm the night. Rebecca said, honestly, smartphones, overhyped and addictive. - Addictive for sure, totally. - Overhyped, I would, if I had to switch to one of those, like, what do they call those blog phones? I thought about it. - Do you call blog phones? - So you can put block on a smartphone. - Oh, that's not what I'm talking about. - Oh, that's your time on brick. - Oh, I'm thinking of brick, maybe block is a thing. - I don't know, they have these like basic phones, and I was like, for a while, that sounded good, but I was like, I would have to really adjust, like, (laughing) do I get a map at that point? Like, I do like get a map. - Physical map. How do I find phone numbers for like anything? - Right. - It just feels like it would be way more complicated to get rid of it now. - I do too. Yeah, apples in a wonderful job of doing this. - I think we need the high, I think it needs the hype. (laughing) - Jalen, oh, I'm sorry, I'm reading them all. - No, I like it. - You read it. (laughing) - Where are we at? - Okay, crumble cookies I have in here, because I'm like, I know you guys will disagree. - Crumble cookies. I can agree that yeah, I mean, I enjoy them. - Yeah. They're very sweet. - I'm never gonna be upset when they're presented to me. I gotta be honest, I watch a review of their cookies every week still. - People that are just mean to be mean about crumble, if I'm gonna be honest. - Yeah. They're like, it's not baked properly. I'm like, oh, are you okay? - Are you okay? - Yeah, I'm sorry, professional. (laughing) - You wanna cookie for being so smart at cookies? - Like what am I doing? - What the heck? - Not a crumble cookie. - I really wanna try this week's lineup, but doesn't look like I'm gonna make my way there, but I mean, I can see that. They're, I mean, there's a lot of hype. - I love a cookie though. Vibration plates. - I'm sorry, this is a scam. - This is just a scam. - You've seen those plates where the girls stand, I don't think they go, this is, this is, what? - You know what I'm talking about? - Yeah. - And they're like, it's like lymphatic drainage and it's like doing 50 squats. - This one has been the most, like, submitted thing, was a vibration plate. - I don't know, this is a big thing right now. - That's on the same, this is on par with me if the red light therapy masks. I'm sorry, ladies. - Where are these, wait, what is a vibration plate? Like you stand on this plate, the house? - At your house. - It looks like a scale, like a weight scale. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you would just do it while you're like brushing your teeth. It's fine, it's fine, it's gonna shake your whole body. And people are like, it's really good for your circulation. I'm like, just stretch. - You know what I mean? - Circulation? - Yeah, I don't know what the benefits of that are. I don't know, I'm just assuming some of these claims, but I agree, can be. - Yeah, that doesn't sound right. (laughs) Okay, this next one's, ooh, she's kinda, she put a list, claw clips, Oreos, dry shampoo. I have to disagree on Oreos. Oreos I never buy or eat, buy them, but when I eat them, yeah, the sleeve is gone. They're so good. That's the one you chose to disagree on. (laughs) - I will say with Oreos, you can't get a knock off Oreos. - It doesn't taste the same. - And it won't get knocked off. - Get out. (laughs) - Thank you. - I've been buying Oreos. (laughs) - Oh my God. - That was eating a golden ore. - Golden? - I wanted a golden one. - And she walks over and starts talking to Abby. And she goes, can you just eat a golden oreo? (laughs) - I can smell it on it. - I know I had a genius, genius pregnancy craving idea. I was like golden Oreos in a vanilla milkshake with malt powder. It was delicious. - That does not work. - I don't think anything with a cookie blended in is bad. - Okay, wait, claw clips and dry shampoo, no, those are pretty great. - They do, they're great. - Katie says, "Queen Simpleets Clear Protein Girl." I love their regular protein powder, but can't go with the clear. - Really? - Strongly disagree. - Some flavors do taste more stevia than others. So I think it depends, I think it's flavor dependent. So I don't fully disagree. - I mean, have you tried the sour watermelon? - The sour watermelon's so good. - I just got the pink starburst one, it's great. - That one's the second best. - That one would make a fruit punch one. I love orange. - I know. - Wait, I didn't like their sodas. The clear protein. - Yeah, those are different. - Those aren't, I mean I like them, but they definitely don't have-- - They have a different flavor. - Different after taste. - Yeah, but the powder's amazing. - Oh, I disagree, Jordan. - This next one is the Duna car seat slash stroller. That thing is the love of my life. - I don't know how to have a baby without it. - What do you mean you just, you're carrying a pumpkin around? - No poison wheels in the back of your trunk. - How does that work? - No, no, no. - I don't know about that. - Are those people-- - I have a Duna too, yeah. So I'm like, I don't know how you live without it, but also are these people who are saying it's overrated, have they had one? - True. Oh, do they have the Nuna? The people are like, the Duna's expensive and done, but the Nuna's like double the price. - No, it doesn't do the same thing that a Duna does. - No, you gotta carry the pumpkin and transform it. - I do understand it is heavy, but what you do, you just take it out of it, whenever you need. - You just have to get stronger as your baby gets bigger. - Exactly. - Don't look at Abby's video from a really long time ago when you were like, this is why I work out. - This is why I work out, literally. - I gotta tote my 18 month old huge baby in a Duna. - He was in that Duna a whole time, really long time. - People are like, oh, I can't get out of your way to the Duna, they grew out of it. I'm like, they did not grow out of it. (laughs) - How did you say that? - That's why I did too. - How did they not grow out of that? (laughs) - This girl said bottle warmers. It baby-specific laundry detergent. I would agree with this. - I've never had a bottle warmer, but. - I don't understand. - I'm not having a bottle warmer. I don't get it. - I bottle warm every year. - You guys are in just one of warming bottles, yeah. - I don't have one, but I'm not like a post. - Do you just take cold milk out of the fridge if you're giving them a bottle? - No, I just take the bag and I run under smoking hot water in the sink. - I don't want to sit there. I want to put it in the bottle warmer and walk away. - It really doesn't take long. - Why do you have to sit there? - It takes longer to do the bottle warmer. - I think it does. - I'm totally honest with you. - And also, once on my side, you guys, I think Blake had it in like- - Blake boils water on the stove this day and a pot. - Well, it's because we pack it in a bottle. That's why we do it like that. - It is harder if it's in a bottle. When it's in a bag, it's not. - We always pack it in. - Like if you were running a bottle under the sink, that would never work probably. But the bag, it warms up really quick. - Yes. - Put it in a bottle warmer. - I would agree. - But maybe we'll try that next time. - No, I was gonna say, I do want to get a bottle warmer next time. - Okay. - I think it's possible. - You guys usually use the water on the stove because it's in a bottle. - Do you use glass bottles? - No. - No. - Use plastic bottles. But we don't have a bottle warmer here. - Right. - So at home, we do have a bottle. And we have a portable bottle warmer now. - I was always curious why you guys had the boiling pot. But that makes sense because it's in the bottle. - It's like the pot of water on my stove so many times. - And also one of the time running. Like he left the stove on all day. - I've done that before. - Yeah, I've done that before. - But we've gasped. It's a little concerned. (laughing) - Maybe it's just a big laundry detergent though. - I would've heard that. - Yeah, you just get a clean. Just get a scent from your dryer. - She doesn't have any reaction to me. So I'm like, if she's on my. You know what I mean? That your detergent is not having a reaction to your clothes being near you. - The market did actually. - It's gonna be cool.
a good point, Adi, it's like you're washing your kids, it goes into our things, but you're holding your kids when you've got detergent, doesn't it? - Yeah. - I don't even think dread is good for, like the famous brand Dread. It's not even probably good. It's very fragrance. - Yeah, I like it because I have it. Once I run out, I'm not buying it. - Yeah, I mean, I like it because it reminds me of a baby. - Yeah. - But I don't think I'm like doing something special for them. Teeth widening at home literally leaves my teeth sensitive. - Yeah, today, actually. - But I use the Luminow ones, they don't leave me sensitive. Or the Eno Pro, but apparently dentists have those don't work, so I did add for them. I thought they worked. - I have fake teeth, so I can't. - Yeah, okay. - Buying a house. - Everything is always breaking and we, my husband, have to fix it. - That's okay. - That's the kind of trip. - My husband did it for his teeth. - 25 steps, skincare routines. - Absolutely, your skin can only take so much. - Yeah, I don't know. That's not all soaking in. - Layers, four through 25 are saying doing nothing in the barrier. - Yeah, your barrier's broken. - Dicing, air wrap. - I don't have one, so I can't say. - I don't have one. I actually wrote this as one of my personal flops. - Oh, interesting. - I borrowed one, I borrowed them. Actually, I could say like two to three times. It's actually one of the most returned products. - Interesting. I'm just really expensive, so. - It's difficult to use, but even when you do use it, it takes a while for me at least, and your hair just falls right out. - It does, okay, so I have the T3 microversion, and I like it, but I had to lower my expectations about my curls gonna look like. It's like a blowout look, or just like a movement, but I'm like, that's a lot of work for a light curl. - Just curl the ends of your hair. - I know. Totally. - Heatless curls. - I agree. - I agree, I did it twice, and I was like, I'm out on this. - I don't wanna headache, and I wanna sleep good, and I wanna be comfortable. - And I don't care, my hair looks like. - Cybertruck. - Oh. - I don't have an opinion. I feel like it's a good billboard. - There's a company-- - I think they're hideous. - Here's what I think about them. I appreciate the innovation. - I agree. - I like that it's different. - My sons think they're cool. - Right, I'm like, you know, I like that it doesn't look like a normal car, but that's as far as my-- - My husband thinks they're cool. - And there will be a Cybertruck in a dragway. - Did you or Matt Power did? - What about your mom car? - I don't. - I'm getting a mom car stuff. (laughing) - You are a legend. - But Abby, you're the spender. - I'm the spender. - Oh my gosh, it's hilarious. - I like getting a freaking key of Carnival. - Yeah, baby, he's like not the minivan, but the Cybertruck. I was like, that feels like a dad car. - Matt's getting a truck. He drove a truck in high school and he just misses that. - Oh, I thought that was Caleb's truck. - Did they share it? - I don't know, I feel like Caleb's taking a couple. - Probably, I probably did. (laughing) - Okay, I mentioned already on the pod, but red light therapy, love from Ireland, Maria, Maria. We are one. - I'm asked, why are we wearing them to our workouts? - I feel like they are worn. - Yeah, it's supposed to wear for like 10 minutes. - Why are they. - They're performing hours. - I don't know, it's performative, like. - I don't know 'cause it kinda feels like it's gonna overstimulate me. Like the stick around my face. - I actually really liked them. - Really? - And I used the ones, they were just from Amazon. It was Terez and honor was the brand. And I wore them every morning for a month, and I noticed a huge difference in my honor, right? - Right, yeah. So, and those weren't that expensive, but yeah, you didn't wear them just too many minutes. - Maybe just for the extended wear. - I saw them as the creator wearing them, and she started in the morning, and then went and got her hair done, and she had them on the entire, like hair coloring, everything, like the whole thing. - They become the new, successful stickers. - There are the pimple patches, like the first person. - But they don't even, why? They don't last that long. - I. - Unless you're like replacing them, maybe she's replacing them? - No. - No. - No. - Hmm, hmm, hmm. Mrs. Cammy Steer has a controversial one. - Spicy Miss Cammy? - You can say. - She's a condo. She said, "I mean, when you are married, they're just the most horrible thing." - I agree. - I'm team, team that. I'm team condom. Listen, I'm not trying to have a baby, and I'm not doing the other stuff. - Yeah. - So, kill them. - There's other ways. - Hocus, what? No, we love our hocus, that's on my list. (laughs) - I love the color and feel, but they were not durable, and barely lasted me three months. Oh, you know what? Mine lasts about, I would say, if I were mine a lot, they last like six, eight months. They're not like a full year long shoe. - Yeah, but that's like any, which, running shoe reading? - They're also meant for running only. Like, you're not supposed to wear them all the time. - So, if you're a nurse or something, I feel like, if you're like, you're putting your pound in the pavement on those, I could see you running through them quickly. - But what else are you gonna wear? - No, I'm saying they should, but I could see them not lasting as long if you're using them that often. - Like, I only wear mine on walks and runs. - This next one actually creates a reaction to me. - Kendall's? - Mary. (laughs) - I'm sorry, we're disagreeing it all. - Do you have one? (laughs) - I was like, I'm gonna take clothes that I've been sitting in. - How do you rage-baiting us? - How are you rage-baiting me? - I love Kendall's. - Why is a doctor pepper is low-key gross? - Add love, doctor pepper. - Can I talk pepper zero every day? - It's so funny. I don't like doctor pepper personally, but. - I don't like Coke, and I used to always, my maiden name is pronounced Coke, and I was like, it's so, I should like Coke. Like, I literally took that person. - I should be liking it. - It's one of the things you were stuck on. - I should never be a Coke, that's why I really, I was meant to be a bizzle. - Addie, I never said your last name for a long time, 'cause I was like, is it Couch? - Couch. - People said it a lot. If AOCH spelled Coke. Blake tells me it's pronounced Coke. I'm like, that is not how I'm it. I still tell you how my last name is pronounced. - He's like, you're actually wrong. - Diny said e-bikes. Maybe. - Maybe. I kind of agree. I was like, I want my kids to peddle their own bike, but then I realized I'd be left behind. I know. - I would say that all the time, when I'm forced to, you're just gonna be left in the dust, but he's kids. - Luba Lemme leggings, 100% disagree. - Sorry. - Next. - I kind of agree, but it's good private on that one. - Well, I'll talk about this later. - Addie, drink the potion. - Because she worked there. - Don't steal one of my stories for later, ladies. - Okay. - Okay, now let's go into our personal flops. We already said my first one, which was the Arap. - I can't. - I was on your list. - I used it, yeah, I used it a couple times with friends, 'cause I was seriously going to buy one. This wasn't the time where you couldn't even buy one, 'cause they were being bought all the time, but turns out most of those ended up returned. I, there was like a crazy high return rate. I don't know what it was, but I think it's because it is a disappointing product, and I don't think people would have been as disappointed by the results if it wasn't like $500. - Yeah, it's very expensive. - Yeah, so I understand. That's a price point for a, that's a premium price. - Premium price for a, whatever price. - Not a great return. Okay, my first one is, sorry, I have it. Well, it's natural deodorant, but it's specifically, well, it's all of them. Okay, I've tried all of them. I've tried them all, I tried. - You have weird pits though. - I know, that's why, every single one, I get an allergic reaction to, and this is a bad story. You ready for this one? I did an ad for wild deodorant, what'd you say? I'm coming clean, but I love it. - I love it, but I actually stand by it, because I emailed them, I said, "Hey, I actually have a lot of allergic reactions to natural deodorant, so I'm probably gonna pass." I'm like, "Well, we have a sensitive line." So they sent me this sensitive line, I used it, and I did not break out. So I put the free fill in, and I was using it. I did my ad, it was great. I ran through the sensitive one, and I put in the next sensitive one. Yeah, immediately my armpits blew up. - You need to figure out all of these. - No, but ever since then, I haven't been able to use their deodorants, but it was there, I'm primarily pure, Tom's, Love Beauty Planet. I mean, I've tried, like, at least-- - I feel like you're not alone. I feel like a lot of people dislike natural deodorants, but here's my argument. I feel like yours is different, 'cause you're having an allergic reaction. - You can't really like say-- - I don't know what it is. - But your armpits do need an adjustment period. If you're used to, like, anti-perspirance, for example-- - Ooh! - You have to, like-- - You're gonna sweat. - You're gonna sweat for a while. Your body will regulate, and then same with odor. Like, there's a period of time. - Yeah, I agree. - But then I feel like you also, your body will adjust, and I think it's kind of worth it, aren't you? - Yeah. - Yeah, I just can't tolerate it. - You just can't tolerate it. - Dang it. - Well, you're not alone on that one. - Yep. - I do love wild deodorant. - Okay, I have to preface this one by saying, I love supergoop sunscreen. - I have it in my purse right now. - I love it. I love it. What I'm not sold on, and was actually kind of disappointed by, was their tinted sunscreen. - Oh, interesting. - Yeah. You rub it in and disappears. It doesn't do anything for-- The tinting aspect doesn't do anything, so don't buy it for that reason. If you're hoping to have, like, a little coverage, a little color, it doesn't do it. - Can I actually say, I don't understand to did sunscreens at all. I have some, and I'm like, what do you mean, I'm gonna put this tinted sunscreen on, and then put makeup on on top of it, and then do I reapply? - No, I think the point is to, no. - What? - Right, I'm confused. - No, I think the point is just, if you're not gonna wear makeup, you could wear that, like, if you're not wearing makeup, like, at the pool, and you want, like, a little glow. - Oh, okay. I would misunderstood the product. - I don't think you're supposed to put makeup on top of it. - Okay, so yeah, I was doing it wrong. Okay, I'm gonna do that. - You put it sunscreen on, and then makeup and then sunscreen on top of it again. Like, it's, like, a cream from my face. - Like, that was like a foundation. - Yeah. - So you're not supposed to put makeup on top of it. - Okay, so, you know what? - It's supposed to be your makeup. - Okay, but then my hands were tinted. It's like, you're just telling me you're going to the pool, and you're wearing, you've got, like, tinted. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - It's not supposed to be your arms, side of the pool. - No, put it on. - I just don't get it. - Put it on. - Like, put it on. - Put it on. - Put it on. - That one, don't put it in your back. - Put it on your kitchen. - Put it on your bathroom counter. - The tinted one. - I'm just not going to use it. - Don't do it. - Don't use it, obviously. It's not for you. - Okay, my next one. - I have the Wally phone case. Let me show you how to put this up. - Don't say you don't like that. - I love my Wally phone case. I got the magnetic case, because I was like, oh, I have this. Which I have this.
- I actually like because I take it off, I can put this on my stuff. - Like my tripod. - Like tripod, yeah. - I used to have the, it's not the Oli pop. What's it called? - I used to take to the back of my phone. - Octobody. - The Octobody. - It's gay. So I love my, - Oli pop. - People are clicking on it. (laughing) They're like, this girl should not have a microphone. - Okay, the Octobody is amazing. And so I got the Wally pop, which is their magnetic version. (laughing) - That's a pretty, pretty, (laughing) - Yes, that was the longest piece I've ever. (laughing) - It's definitely more pregnant. I get the more I'm gonna weave. (laughing) - You gotta take 'em. - You gotta take 'em. (laughing) (laughing) - This doesn't need an explanation. - Anyway, the Wally pop sticks to nothing. It sticks to nothing. Okay, don't buy the Wally pop. - The Wally pop? (laughing) - You're getting so neat. - I know, no one's buying. No one's buying. No one's buying. (laughing) - No one's buying the Wally. (laughing) - All these names are so similar. (laughing) - Oh my goodness. - I'm sorry. (laughing) - Oh my gosh. - I'm not okay. - This is neat. - You're editing. - I did not know that's what was going. - That's why I keep calling it an Wally pop on eggs today. - I didn't know why, I didn't know why not. - I don't give it. (laughing) - I'm so sorry. - I'm sorry, everybody. We can skip this one. It's just don't buy the Wally pop. It doesn't stick to anything. (laughing) Just get the regular focus. (gasping) - That's all I have for flops. I couldn't think of anything else. I feel like I'm generally pleased with my products. - Yeah, okay, the other one was the dime. I love dime as a note hole general, but their skin care doesn't work for my face. That's all. - So that's all, that's all. - Okay, let's go into our personal favorites. I feel like naturally, let's stick with the beauty category. We'll do beauty and style. Mine is, okay, I have very, very, very, oh, we brought a show and tell. We're showing telling for the people I couldn't see. (gasping) - Look. (laughing) - Is that a pot of gold? - That's so, that's so tough. That was such a dumb joke. - Oh my gosh. - I remember that we're gonna get there today. - We're never gonna finish this. I don't think we can cover from this. - Ooh, okay. (laughing) - Josh, thank you. - All right, here we go. My favorite beauty product is the first serum concealer. If you have very dry under eyes, this is not going nowhere. It's not like a cakey, but it's very light. It doesn't get into my creases. And it's really good. (laughing) Next. - I don't want it to get into targets. - It can get into target. Okay, skin care. - Do you have any show and tell things for your skin care? - I do. - Good old basic ceremony. - Oh, that's class. - You guys, but this kind, don't get the hydrating one, get the oil control one. This one is recommended by dermatologist. Like everyone, this doesn't clog your pores. It actually gets your skin clean. - Wow. - And I have used this since I was in college. - Wow. - But I also have another one. - Yeah. - This one's a new favorite. - Ooh, vacation. They're packaging is so cute. - And Abby, this is a sunscreen. You can't mess up for your face. - Really? - You literally spray it on top, but I'll do it right now. - That's cool. - I love this because I need to reapply a face sunscreen, but if I-- - Right. - I got em. (both laughing) - It smells really good. (both laughing) But SPF 15, like if I have my face all done, then I'm like, I don't want to rub in more sunscreen on my face, but this you just spray on top. - That's a genius product. And in your hairline. - Oh, that's smart. - I always get burned on my scalp. So I always put sunscreen in my hairline. And it's literally just like white cream in my hair. That'd be perfect for that. - I love this type. - And your ears and stuff that are hard to get. - Wow. Okay, I might have to get that. - You're really showing me that CBS. - Okay, clutch. My skincare product is-- - Actually, everything in anything married skincare is unbelievable. I love their instant glow serum. I love their moisturizer. I repurchase those probably four times myself. But this is a new product that blew me away. It's the great skin, double cleanse face wash. It's a foaming, look how much I've used. It's a foaming face wash. - Ooh, I love a foaming one. - It's so good. I've actually never had a face wash. I actually took my makeup off in one go. I do this over my sink. It's really foamy. It's really light. Gets everything off. I use white towels after no marks for my makeup. I've never had that. Like it's fully off my face. - Wow. - Actually, I learned something from watching your videos. I used to never, I used to always avoid my eyes with my cleanser because in the Neutrogena commercials growing up with the celebrities, they would always go around their eyes. - Oh. - So I would always have to take my eye makeup off separately with Vaseline. Yeah, I started using it on my eyes. It helps a lot, actually. - Wait, my videos? What? No, the Neutrogena ads, do you remember those? Oh yeah, your videos, when you take your makeup off with your balm and you put it over your eyes. - Oh. - I was like, you could put cleanser on your eyes. - Oh yeah, I'm an old lady that likes cold cream. (laughs) So what makes it double cleansing? - It has an oil in it. - Oh, but you still wash it. - So you have to shake it before it separates. And you have to shake it up before. No, you use it once. Shake well. Apply three to four pumps. I don't know what it is to be honest, but it has, it separates. That's what I could say about it. And you have to mix it up. So it has a whatever. It has a whatever. Next category, fragrance. For this one, I actually ran out of mine because I love it so much and it was really sad to part with, but this is kind of niche. I don't feel like people talk about this one, but the Molecule 02 fragrance. - Oh, I don't know. I'm gonna buy another one, you guys can all smell it, but it is a fragrance that I would love to one day try to find a way to recreate because, and with a slightly more feminine version, it is such a clean kind of musky scent. And it's so hard to find this smell. Because I feel like a lot of musky ones kind of go to a woody scent. And that feels a little too masculine. This one feels clean and musky though. And I just, I can't really describe sense very well, but you can get it on Amazon and I'm going to repurchase. It's a little pricey. - Ooh, I feel like you like Romantic sense. - Mm, I'm a Romantic person. - I know. - Yes, that makes sense. Like a little musky, that's kind of a Romantic sense. - Yeah, I like rose. I feel like that's like a, it's kind of like, you don't hear a lot of rose-scented things anymore either. Kind of feel like an old lady for liking it. - Yeah, I like rose. - Yeah, I love that. My fragrance, I do have it for sure. What's it all? - Looking for my pot of gold. - You have pants in there? - In that pot, I brought everything. (laughing) - Okay, you can see, I need to re-stock it. It's the dime seven summers perfume. - Oh, I have that one. - I know you do. I actually got it, I came here for Griffin's gender reveal. You had the dime perfume. - Oh, it brings me back to that time of part. - Yes. - I've used it since then, since 2022. And I just keep you purchasing it. I love that it's clean, so that when I'm spraying it, I don't like CJ or Vivian aren't going to have reactions to it. It's light, I love this smell specifically. I love vanilla, and it's like really warm and just, it's just a good classic smell. They think it smells good on everybody. And yeah, I just will never, not buy this, I love it. And it's like 30, $37 or something. It really is affordable. - It's really expensive. And I actually have kind of learned why. It's the, what goes into them is very expensive. - I believe it. - Yeah, I know. This one you do have to re-apply often. It's not like the most long lasting scent, I will say. But it smells amazing. The molecule lasts even through a wash, you guys. - Wow. - Now, I don't think it's clean. - No. - But it lasts through a wash. - That's not the merit perfume, the retrospect, I love it. But it's like one spritz or it could be too much. - I love that. - And it's long lasting. - Oh, that's good. - Yeah. - For fashion, I actually ordered another one and it was on my front nose. - Maybe on the box. - Maybe on the box. - Wow, I love that. - Let's be real. I'm not very fashionable right now. I feel like I'm just, you know, comfy, what's easy. And I've been really loving the comfort matching set. - They're so good. - Guess who I got on these as well. - Me. - Okay, you and who else? - Who else? - Vow. - Vow. - Vow. - Vow's got my couple two. But like, oh, these. - That pink is cute. - You might show my undies. - Oh, I think so. - No biggie, honestly. - Yeah, good. (laughing) - I got the pink one, I have the green one. But like, I'm telling you, if you're pregnant or postpartum and you want to just be able to wear them, like, you want to feel put together okay, here's the truth about it. You can wear pajamas if they're completely matching. - Agreed. - And you put on a pair of shoes. - Yeah. - And some makeup. - Yeah, maybe do something. - Do want your hair or your makeup. We gotta do one of them. - I don't know if this is actually, maybe it might be marketed as a pajamas set. Oh really, I didn't know that. I don't know. - I don't care. - I'm wearing it out. - I wear it to the zoo. - I wear it everywhere. - No, I love those super comfortable. They have so many colors. - Yeah. - And patterns as well. - I love it. - I like this set for Christmas, and I love it. - Oh, I also have a more dressy option. - Oh, I have a more dressy option from Quinn's. They have these cotton cashmere. So it must be like a blend. - Yeah. - Ribbed dresses. And I just got the, I think it's like a cocoa, like a dark brown one. - The tank top I wore. - That same color. - That same color. - Yes, you can get these dresses. And so if you're pregnant, it will definitely stretch. They're so comfortable. Very high.
quality. And how often do you see Kashmir for under $100? I know. And it would be great for like all seasons. You can make wear it for fall, dress it up like with a sweater or a jacket on top or now like I'm gonna wear it all summer. I think that is a great wardrobe staple. Yeah, I would agree. Okay, my, well, let me button them. There Abby's drawers are out. Let me zip them. Wait, let's do a little ASMR. That's special. Okay, these are the Abercrombie curve love loose shorts. I actually think these are the dad shorts, but I think there might be discontinuing the dad short and transferred it to the loose. I could be wrong, but both of them I have the loose and I have the dad and I'm obsessed. I need the curve love because I do have a small waist and big hips like poor you. And they're the only ones that like really do they don't gap in the back. So they're really comfortable to the perfect length. I feel like they're fun to dress up or dress down and it's the perfect. This is the medium wash. I have them in medium and black. I just feel like you can dress them up or down really easily. Just a good classic. It's the first pair of denim jeans that I've had. That's how it's 14 years old. The first pair you've had? Because I've just never liked the length. They're so hard to find. And I love the length because it goes past like the wide part of my thigh, which I don't want them to be so short that it like I don't know. It just feels too short if it's past that. Do you know what I mean? It's the perfect length. I know. I love them. I love them. That's a really good fine because I feel like denim shorts are just I know and they're on sale all the time. They're so good. I love Abercrombie. Yeah. For accessories I did my truly blessed jewels necklace stack because I actually don't feel like I want to spend my time accessorizing. It's just not on my list of priorities on the day to day. But I love that these are permanent and they're awesome local business. Well, they're in Scottsdale. And I just like think that they have really high quality materials that you can personalize. And so I have like all my kids like little charms on this one. I love this little pearl one that's the kaya pearl choker. And this one has all my kids' birthstones and Matt's birthstone. Oh, which one? My top one. Oh, yeah. I think I've gotten a little tangled. But I love that you have to think about it. So it has Matt Griffin and Augie's birthstone. Cute. So pretty. Yeah, I really can't recommend them enough. I think that's an amazing, honestly with May coming up, amazing Mother's Day treat for your mom, for your husband to give you like it's just quality, simple, beautiful pieces that will last and obsessed and they're a small business. So yeah, love that. Yeah, I love my chain bracelet from them or matching ones that Addy cut off for her cruise. I cut off for my crew. So I'm going on the water side. It's for the memory though. It's for the memory. My favorite accessory. This is a little bit of a pricey one, but it truly is my favorite now. It's my new bag. It's the air. It's the coach shoulder bag. It's the perfect size. I have this thing stuff because it's currently my diaper bag, but it has three pockets. Maybe we'll do it. Oh, what's in my bag in a few baggy. But it has two like magnetic pockets on the outside and then a zipper pocket in the middle. And it's a shoulder strap bag. So I like that things feel secure. I have a Vivi pocket, a mommy pocket and a CJ pocket. Oh, yeah, I love it. Actually, it all kind of leads in mine, but it's okay. It's such a beautiful bag. And for it to be leather, I think it's around 250, which is a good. I mean, I thought you were going to say I was way more because those designer bags get crazy. I know. It's from the outlet store. They still have it. It's the air and shoulder bag. It's like the perfect. I like the color. Thanks. I know. I wanted a brown. Okay, moving on to our next category. It's home and lifestyle. What's your favorite home item? Okay, this is, this is going to sound really bougie me. I will say I got sent these items in our house, but I feel like every time I look at them, I'm like, those are so beautiful. And so perfect. It's our curtains. They're all from two pages. They're the custom curtains. They're, they're just pleated. They're press pleat. They stay in place. They're really thick, heavy duty, beautiful fabric. And I just like our house is small. So the touches that we can make that feel special and custom make a big impact in our house. And I just look at them in our, in the rooms. I'm like, wow, those are so special. So if you can budget and save for them and get custom curtains, they go room by room. It like transforms your space. And we got them from two pages. And I love them. I purchased them on my own die. I know. And I have the curtains in mind. And would you say it's worth it? They're worth it for me. And the fact that they were very user friendly to work from because I'm like, I don't know the first thing about blinds. So I needed a lot of help. And so yes, I would definitely say that. Okay, this one is also kind of frivolous, but I said our Robo Rock. It's a like electric vacuum mop. And I hate cleaning floors. Like I just, I just hate it so much. And so we just run this thing every night. It is so smart. This little robot. It goes around our dog like a dog turn around. Like it, like it mobs our heart. It gets up on rugs and will then switch gears and then clean the, like vacuum the rug. Whoa, that's cool. Yeah, it's pretty high tech. How often do you have to empty it? It empties itself. It goes back to it's little back. It's like refueling and then like does it go home and then it goes back. So it does it all throughout the night. Oh, and to be honest, I don't know about like the changing the water because that's, that's a matte job. Sure. I can't even know. That's all right. It's a blue job. And it doesn't seem to be too time consuming because I haven't really ever noticed him doing it. Yeah. Okay. Well, that's exciting. The Robo Rock vacuum. They have several, but that's the brand that we have. They have, they have like a different varying degrees. Mm-hmm. Okay. Very cool. My favorite kitchen gadget is the silicone kitchen aid bowl insert that you gave me that your mom got you for Christmas. She got me three. So I had you gave me one. I love this thing. I'm so glad. Me too. My items out of it. That's what this is. That's what this is. It goes in your stand mixer. Yes. And it's like a cover. So if I make cookie dough because a lot of times I'll try to chicken and then I'll be like, oh, I have to clean my bowl and then go make my cookie dough. Like it's, it's just an extra step. So this thing you can just pop out and or I'll make my cookie dough in it and then I pull this out store my cookie dough. I've never heard that. It has a third one. You want it? The red one? I love it. It's so nice. And you could put it in the dishwasher. And yeah, I don't ever like I can keep my cookie dough in the bowl and still have my stick. And it comes with a lid. It has a lid. Yeah. I love it. I use it all the time. When you gave it to me, I was like, I don't know if I use that. I use it weekly. I'm so glad to hear it. Uh-huh. Yeah. Great Lori. Thank you, Lori for your find. My kitchen gadget is in my hard boiled egg maker. I mean, I can't stop on that thing. I use it every single morning. I'm eating three hard boiled eggs. Did it today? Did it yesterday? I'm doing it tomorrow. I have to think that this thing was made in Korea. Doesn't it look like soft boiled eggs in a ramen? They have the gadgets that are just so high tech and smart and cute. Yeah. They do it all. My little dash egg maker. I love it. It might be time to replace it. It is breaking, but it still works. I don't think I could tell you the last time I had a hard boiled egg. It's only $20. It's literally $19.99 I believe. What was that under your best purchase? No, I had a different one for that. But let me tell you, I love it. So I guess if you don't care about hard boiled eggs, then forget about this one. Sure. Okay. We'll forget about it. Thank you. Yeah, I do. That's normal. I don't know why I love this. Okay. This one is my go-to. I need to feel like myself again, routine. I kept it light. My favorite Bondi Sans tanning moose. That'll really lift your spirits. That's good. If you need to just be shocked back into reality, nothing will make me feel hotter. It doesn't even matter if I apply it, right? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. If it's the right color, it just matters that it's on. Totally. It just matters that I did it. Just get it on your body. And that makes me feel. And it's from Amazon. It's actually a lesser. There's so many different self-tanners on the market. You're kind of expensive. This one is not expensive. The Bondi booze one. It's under $30. Bondi Sans. Bondi Sans? You can also get it targeted blue. Okay. Well, we need an Aussie to chime in if it's Bondi or Bondi. It's $33. 33. Okay. Yeah. With the mint. Oh, with the mint. I don't even buy it with the mint. So, it's $29. Oh, okay. Great deal. It lasts a while, too. Yeah. You get a couple of tans out of it. Okay. Then I get about 30 tans out. Like it lasts a while. Oh, why do I think a bottle only got with one tan? Did it used to be like that? No. No. No, you get like 20 to 30. I have been poorly mistaken in my entire life. How much are you using? No, I've never used it. Why are all these people self-tanning? Yeah, I've never used self-tan. I was like, man, that's an expensive bottle. A 30 bucks for one tan is like a little. Yeah, no. At that point, get a spray tan from an artist. That's five and confused. My last 15 years. Let me clarify. I probably ever wouldn't do this for me. I've just never self-tanned. So, I just yeah, well, you're tan. Well, I tan my face. I'll say that, but you guys don't like the Isle of Paradise jobs. I love them. I don't just like, I just like using my moves because it matches my body. Your body. Better. Okay. Perfect. Our favorite date night activity. Recently, when I say recently, I mean, around Thanksgiving. We have not been on a date a while. We went to the movies and a good, old-fashioned movie date night is the best. We do that all the time. It's just so fun. We went until Wicked 2 and Kale was really excited to see Wicked 2, which was kind of sweet. It just is so memorable. We went to dinner before saw a movie and it was just classic. Get back to the classic. That's why we're texting Blake. We should go on a movie night. Well, we're feeling trying to see Project Hail Mary. I want to, I think Kale would love it. I want to see it so bad, but it's just so hard to get it on the calendar and make it happen. I've heard such good reviews on that movie. I read the whole book for the purpose of watching this movie, so and the book was a lot for me to get through, so. Yes. It was, and
I'm never even talking about it with the way I would watch it But I just don't think that's like my style of movie even though it's like very well done It seems like a guy movie, but maybe that's why we go for a date. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I like guy movies better actually quote-unquote guy movies just one of the guys not at all I just don't like necessarily Romance totally um, I mean what is this even a question cheesecake factory are And bonus points if we go to Barnes and Noble affords, which we started that tradition and that will take me to Barnes and Noble affords and pick out a book for me to read Which a lot of people wouldn't like I love being I love a side reading And I do read every single one the one he's get like that. I'm reading right now He gave me and I'm like Matt crushed every time he goes I just asked the employees. What's good? We just go and browse and I pick out a book. That's it. It's really a fun time. That is a fun time And most cheesecake factories are by a Barnes and Noble I believe they are like that's why I work out. Yeah, that's a really fun little date. Go to gift for anyone Do you have one for this And he said hi to a dog. No one's gonna be sad about this guys girls. Everyone wants a new cup Mm-hmm put a little swig hoop gift card in there. We're actually doing that for a friend for her birthday I know you heard about swig. No, I don't my friend does. Okay. That's yeah. Yeah, so we got her a cup and then a little gift Yeah, so like if you want to do a little combo thing and you can never have enough as much as people want to tell you it's over consumption it is You got to wash them. What are you drink out of when they're in the washing machine dish washers? You could rotate them suckers I learned the hard way Okay, if I go to get for anyone is the volcano candle for my anthropology Oh good one and if even if people don't like to burn candles They have to be not a full jars. Yeah, and they're canisters are just gorgeous and they have different sizes so different price points But that is a gift that everyone loves literally we got in from our real estate agent. Mm-hmm. Real estate agent realtor realtor realtor and We will never burn it because I'm like this is very special It's that aside. It is such a special candle. It's such a good gift Okay, now we're moving on to food and drink category, which is very exciting because I haven't eaten a lot of food Drink a lot drinks coffee order. I'm so sorry. This is so basic. But it's just what I like. Okay every single morning I wake up excited about my double shot of espresso half calf. What's a half calf? It's literally like they put half the beans of caffeinated decaf cool Anyway, well because I like two shots, but I don't want to have that much caffeine right you need yeah the depth and your cup of coffee All right, we need the volume not the depth sugar-free vanilla syrup. Mm-hmm splash of milk splash of vanilla cream Recently, I've been doing way less milking creamer. I just really want it to taste like coffee and Lots of ice obscene amount of ice. It's just been so good. Good. See I'm kind of similar But I'm a hot coffee girl and every morning I wake up and I have two shots of espresso lungo The long shot. Yeah, the long shot. Is that what it means? I just thought it was lungo. Oh No, I think that's a shot. Yeah, okay, sorry and then whole milk and that's it and sometimes I like a latte and sometimes I like a cappuccino You have no flavor in there. No flavors. Wow. Yeah, I just love the taste of coffee Sorry, Jensy. I like it. I know they don't like to taste your coffee. They just love the milk Do you notice that when you watch people make their coffees? I'm like? That's a lot. You're just having a glass of milk. Yeah Yeah, yeah, and some caramel in there. It's a caramel. Okay My first coffee of the day. I like it to have some flavor my second coffee if I have one I'll just have it give it to me straight. This is business. It's not pleasure, right? No, it's pleasure. I know I love the taste I love the taste of coffee. Um, this one next category is hyperfixation meal. Recently it's just been anything my husband can grill I don't want to I don't want the mess in the house. I'm like Matt You just go take that to the grill all prep it and make a couple sides It just makes my night so much easier. Yeah, we love that we need the ease when I was pregnant I don't want to touch any meat. So if there was meat in the meal kale pat to make it so I get chicken salmon steak I honestly have brought up the idea of pork chops a couple times. He doesn't seem to be excited about it But I would love a pork chop. I'm not thrilled about a pork chop Have you had a good pork chop? I have yeah, I have I have just a person I like support shop, you know what burnt me out on pork was hella fresh. I was like stops hitting me pork He could probably request that not there. I know I didn't know I could change it. Oh, I'll think it okay My hyperfixation meal is this is a breakfast that I've been really into. It's from Trader Joe specifically their Trader Joe's brand Greek yogurt with honey It's it's like the creamiest texture almost like ice cream. It's so good and It's so much honey and then they have this trail mix. It's the almond cashews and chocolate Tril mix and they come in the individual packs. So it's like already pre-portioned. You just dump it in there They're so good and you talk with some strawberries. This is a very sweet Sweet breakfast and that's how I like it great, and I'm full for a long time good very satiating good and so good Breakfast is the easiest meal to get hyperfixated on. That was a really good point. Is he needed just be easy? Yeah Every morning protein pancakes well right now it's two eggs and two pieces of chicken sausage Great when growing up from 6th grade to senior year of high school Had two cinnamon-egg waffles just slightly just slightly toasted floppy. Yeah, I need a floppy. So I didn't make a mess I'm the bus Grabbed in a paper towel out the door. Yes, wrapped in a paper towel out the door Comfort food that never fails soft pretzels. Oh, you're right. There's so good. How's that? Abby makes. Oh my god Please make them. I make them on Sunday. I think we asked every podcast episode. Please bring Easter. Yeah, sure appetizer. Yes With a cheese dip. You right every single episode. We're like, please make. Please make the pretzels. I love making them. They never fail. They know she does I know you're so different. I'm like I'm such a giver. I love it when people that's my highest form of love is people requesting specific foods that they know that I make Yeah, it's very niche, but it really makes me feel loved. Oh, okay I'm saying it then please place all requests here. It makes me feel so known My comfort food is pot roast. Would you know? I love pot roast can't get better than that roast a short rib bringing on you make short ribs. No, never have but I buy it at the store Like restaurants if I go out if there's a short rib on the menu. That's what I'm ordering I made them one time and it really overwhelmed me. I was like I can't mess this up. This was so expensive Yeah, no, I've never I've never made them myself so much bones. Oh really. I mean it's ribs. Sure I've never actually thought about what it is It's rib. Okay, there's a bone never one. Well, I'm still gonna eat it. Yeah, they're good. Yeah, there's a good sweet treat How are you gonna say anything other than Trader Joe's ice cream sandwiches? Oh, this is lime. Sublime. Sublime. It's so good Delicious. I can't explain it. If you don't live next to Trader Joe's I know you're paying for 23 years of my life. I didn't live next to Trader Joe's and It's a burden that you just have to carry but the rest of us can enjoy this My brain is that they're not on Instacurte That is so annoying, but honestly, it is a fun experience. It is such an experience and every time I go I have to get like five boxes of these because I don't know when I'm gonna be back and I go through them so fast I know only four in a box is criminal But it keeps coming back My sweet treat is rice crispy and you know I was thinking about this since high school when I started realizing I had free will I would buy two of the large rice crispy treats every day at lunch and I'd put one of my backpack for later and one I'd eat at lunch I was addicted. I loved your eating habits there. I have so many I can talk about now talk about the hot dog one right now When I was in middle school, I went through a crazy grocery I ate seven hot dogs with a bun at my friend's pool party and her parents were stunned Don't you like trying to set a record? No, I was just starving and I was like yeah, I'll eat more than the guys I ate seven hot dogs with buns and every time I'd go to her house after that her parents would buy me my own pack And I was like I'm probably not gonna eat that many again. Oh, I'm done growing. I'm done. I'm just gonna have one please Seven buns No condiments. No condiments. Just no dog and bun That is absolutely crazy. I think they were surprised like I've ever probably like why we didn't buy enough You know what I mean like they're probably freaking out I He's coming hurry How are you going last? Oh, man, honestly that just makes my love for you. It's so sweet Okay, we are now rolling into whoever's still here Kids and family category. How are you gonna say anything other than magnetile? That's my kids products magnetile. That's why I put it It's perfect enough said enough said you got to have them. Let's go deep with the magnetiles. I agree baby product Newton baby breathable mattress. Ooh, yeah, that's give me the most peace of mind as a mom Both my babies are like face fully in the mattress sleepers and they can breathe. That's great I said the dream land sleep sack. Those are great too. In fact, I had a couple conversations with Augie. Augie is approaching three And I'm like, hey, what do you think about not going with a sleep sack tonight? Blinking no see back. He loves it. He just feels so safe. Yeah, they should make a transition product like a blanket or something for older kids Yeah, I don't know. He loves it so much. Yeah, that's a good idea Yeah, time buying taller activity mine's kind of weird
- What is it? - I think the Amazon Kid's Knives. - Oh, the Kid's Knives. - You have a Kid's Knives. Any fruit or vegetable that you're gonna be using, anything you need to cut in your recipe that you can safely give to a kid to try to cut with those knives. - While you're cooking or say for instance, I just keep some celery in my fridge. For everyone if I'm like, I really need to cook, but I can't really give any of these tasks to them 'cause it involves heat. - Oh, that's a good idea. - Sharp things. I literally just let them sit there and cut celery. - They will do it for so long, so diligently cutting celery, and I think it's great for their motor skills, and that knife set is so cheap, and we get so much use out of it. - Yeah. - And it could really, my kids don't color, but they won't cut with knives. - They won't cut. - They will cut. They also like scissors, those are like kid scissors, so I think that was a good activity. - That's a great one. Mine is, CJ loves going in the backyard with the hose and washing his cars. - That's a good idea. - He loves it. - Like our backyard saves so I can just open up the windows and it's all baby proof back there, turn the hose on, and I don't care if he gets wet, he usually comes back, not with his clothes on. He's taking him out, he's getting some sun, he's outside getting fresh air, and he's washing all his toys. - My kids aren't usually in clothes. - Yeah. - He needs clothes. - I did look up 'cause I was curious about the dreamland, baby, they have one that's for walkers, so you put their feet in it. So like, argue still has one that's like, fully over. - He full of the bag. - Check me, he walks in it. - All right, yeah, but this one has like, - Oh wow. - Actual. - Oh my god. - He's a bit rude. - He can't even fully extend his legs in it. And I'm like, hey buddy, let's get rid of it. He's like, no, he literally just curls up in it like a little baby. - That's sweet. - I might get the walker one. - That's the race. - That's the race. - Okay. - Actually, Dreamland did a April Fool's Day joke last year that I fully fell for. - The adult ones? - Genius marketing, except they weren't actually selling it probably, but I got a lot of attention. They said they were making adult Dreamlands, and everyone was so excited, including your girl. And then they didn't get them. They didn't make up. - They're like April Fool's. - Oh, and you're like, wait a minute. I know today's a day, stay off Instagram, please. I came with all these companies. - I'm sure they had to make jokes. - Oh, companies are doing it today. - I mean, they're always like, we're cl-- I remember when we were closing Bull. - He's a little sad. - But all the, you know, I was like, oh my gosh, all these small businesses are also closing. - Right. - It was, I felt validating for a second. I'm like, the market's hard. And then it was like April Fool's. - We're crushing it. - And it's the only thing it's good for you. - Entertainment, media, slash music. What you got? - What do you got? - Guests. - Justin Bieber. - Oh, baby, you went out. I'm not a woman that switches up her music. Listen, Justin Bieber's been the soundtrack to my life, I was thinking about this. I remember where I was the first time I heard one time. I was at a volleyball tournament and the lobby in Carnot word high school in St. Louis, Missouri. Changed my life that day. I remember where I was when I first heard baby. - Where were you? - I'm sorry, not baby. Sorry, I wrote this down. My world came out when I was eighth grade freshman year. Soundtracked of my young child's life. My world first concert, big concert that I'm ever going to. When I listened to the believe album, baby. No, I was baby. I was in my kitchen sitting on my parents' stools. It's open, I'm laughing 'cause it kept saying swag, swag, swag on you. And then I'd be loved to the song. Purpose came out my freshman year of college. So I keep going. Changes came out right after we got married. Swag, I was pregnant with Vivian. I just, it's a soundtrack of my life. And I'm never going to stop. - That is so long. - Did you have to look back at when those came out or that was just at the top of your brain? - No, I did look back to confirm. It was at the top of my brain. - So both. - Both. - Yes, and. - Wow. - Yeah, it's all right. - I'm taking a hard break. (laughing) 'Cause this category is entertainment, media, music. - Okay. - What? - I just said audible. (laughing) - Like the audio- - Like your voice. (laughing) - Mine was audible. (laughing) And so audible is, I've been going on a lot of walks. I'm on public rest, so I can't work out. So I just go on walks, and I feel like, I prefer to read a book, but listening to books, I have started to transition. - And I like it. - You like it? - Yeah, I do like it. I've read two books on audio. - Every time I tried to listen to a book, I haven't liked the voice. - That's really it. - The same lady does like, basically, pretty much all of them. - I don't know how she's got the time. - She's probably a good amount. - Well, that's great, Abby. - Sorry, I don't listen to the music. - No, that was a good one. - Okay, favorite book. - Slash movie. - The Nightingale. - Oh yeah. - Yeah, I read that recently. My friend Curly gave it that. - Yeah, that's a gut-wrenching book, but it's an incredible read. My friend Curly recommended it, and I love it. It's a good one. - I just did a recent favorite, which was Broken Country, 'cause I haven't talked about it on this podcast yet, but a lot of people were talking about it, Broken Country. It's like a deeply emotional book. A lot happens. It's not a very long book, but like so much happens, and it's one of those, I'm like, I will remember this. - It was a good one. - Yeah, what do you have for a movie? - I didn't put a movie. - Oh, okay. - I thought it was book/movie. - What's your movie? - She's a man. - Of course. - Of course it is. - I watched that with you for the first time. - You did? - Yeah, I think I was supposed to part with Griffin. - Oh my gosh. - That's a good movie. - Such a good movie. - When I was pregnant with CJ Giving Birth, I kept changing him ahead during labor. - Who's gonna bring that blood and pain? - Who's gonna, I couldn't remember where it came from. And then I watched, she's the man. And it's their chant and their soccer, soccer huddle. I was like, why am I chanting? She's the man. - Our blood experience was so different. - It's so stupid, I did that. - Who is your comfort creator, Abby? - Okay, I have two. One for YouTube is Caroline Winkler. I love her YouTube video. She does a lot of interior design. And she just bought her and her husband, or fiancee, just got like a really old school, really beautiful apartment. And she's been decorating it. And it's so fun to watch. She's hilarious. And I just love her videos. She's very creative, very funny, very entertaining. And then on Instagram, Maddie Nelson. I followed her for such a long time. And her family's so sweet, they're in Texas. She has a long clothing boutique. I just love following her. - So the only thing I really like try to scroll on is YouTube. And this is kind of an issue, guys. But she deserves a shout out because I literally go to YouTube shorts every day to catch up on her shorts. 'Cause she's post like three a day. Her name is Gloria. She does not maybe want all this tension. She just has such a tight and protective of this community. - Oh, what is this? - What is this? - No, she's just, she's a special, she's a special ed teacher. - Oh, cool. - But she also makes content of her like making her coffee in the morning. And she makes sweet treats. And like she's just so cute. I think her personality is so cute. Yeah, her name's Gloria. Her tag is like glow yo-yo. I always show them at her videos. And I'm like, she's just, when I say, think of a comfort creator, it's this week girl. - Aww. - She like, she actually has a ton of, she has a lot of subscribers. - She's 53K subscribers. - Oh yeah, she makes shorts. - She only does shorts. - Yeah, fun. - Anyway, she makes her coffee and she makes sweet treats. But mostly I just like love her personality. Like sometimes she'll record what she brings for lunch, like to school where she teaches. And she's on spring break with her mom right now. Like, they went to Denver. - You guys fun. - She's just really cute. And I just like think her personality is just so joyful. And she loves sumo oranges. And a espresso. She likes her espresso to match the color of her hair and it's really dark, so she likes it dark. - She loves tiramisu, I mean, I just like love her content. And she's cute. - Yeah, and she's two dogs. - Cute, I've never heard of her, I'm going to follow her. - Gloria. - Okay, shopping favorites slash rapid fire. - Okay, I, I feel like my brain just stopped first. - I skipped a lot of these. - This is probably my most passionate one. - Okay, do it. - I can like this whole category. - Okay, my favorites find under $20. - Favorite find under $20, go. - It's this light. - It's the Alex Relay. - Oh yeah. - This thing is really good. - I need to get that. - It just clips onto the back of your phone and it gets really bright. I'm not going to turn it on. But I keep it in my purse. And even if you're just, I feel like if, when I was in college, I would have loved this. 'Cause you're always out at night with your friends and you want to get pictures taken and the lighting is always terrible. And no offense with the iPhone cameras nowadays are trash. They're really bad. I felt like they've only gotten better, Abby. I just don't like it. I don't like it. So also my light sensors are broken, so that's probably why. - Okay. - But I love this light. - That's a good one. - Yeah. - It's like it ranges from $12 to $30 on Amazon. - Mine is the unbrush. - I almost brought mine. - You influenced me. - I should've cleaned that out. - But that brush will really detangle your hair. It won't tug on it. You can use it when your hair is wet. Love that thing. It's really good. You influenced me and I did get that. - Thank you. - I got it from my favorite things party two years ago. - My eye by this over and over item. - Gotta be Ilya skin tint. - It's so good. - I have probably purchased 50 of these. I've used it exclusively. I don't really wear a foundation. I just use this because I think it has amazing coverage. It has SPF 40 in it and it goes on super natural on the skin. You don't really even have to match your skin color. That good. It will blend and it has skin care in it. It's just, it won't clog your pores. - Yeah. - It's clean. - It just reminds the same. - It's the Ilya skin tint. And I think we actually, we're the same color. - Number seven dials. - Which is messed up. - No, I wear a bomb bomb. - Oh, okay. - One time you got dials and I was like too dark for me. - It was a bomb bomb. - Okay. Then I'll keep using dials. - I prefer a bomb bomb bomb. - Next, I cheated on this one. It's my favorite thing I bought this year. I bought it last year, but you know what? I cautious my favorite last year.

case it's a great phone case yeah picture ID in there driver's license one credit card and you're at the door it's perfect wow are you guys sick of hearing from us let's hear from you moving on to voice yay ask ask ask Abby hey Abby is it polina I have a two and a half year old and we just started potty training her and I was wondering if you have any tips or tricks on potty training earboys any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks guys bye okay Abby take it away I have the worst advice but I think it's the best advice let's hear it just wait until they are literally ready and I know that people think this is a big scheme by the dark diaper companies but literally our experience maybe we just got lucky I will say that was so seamless with my oldest I literally was one day like hey do you want to wear underwear and go to the bathroom on the toilet instead he was like yeah so we did I will say going like a day if you if you stay home with them go a day where they're just naked because sometimes they're just so used to just doing it whenever they have to go like they need to feel like oh there's like they can start and they're like oh nope this isn't this isn't the same and then literally he just started using the toilet because I but I also waited until he was three and I do think that the thought of doing it with my two and a half year old he's getting close but I'm still like he just needs to wait till he's three yeah but every kid is different I don't think it needs to be this big stressful thing is all I'm saying like I'm like you can wait diapers are great and work fine and then just start the conversation a lot like even with Oggy now when I change diaper all the time I'm like you know one day we're gonna get rid of these diapers and we're underwear pick out really fun underwear for them like he like we talk about what kind of underwear he'd want to wear what he wants on them and we just like talk about it a lot and then yeah just wait just push it off but that's also just maybe if you're if you have a special reason like preschools like they do require that into daycares yeah I would just say stay home for like plan to stay home for like three days and just leave them naked and then every time and also be very kind when there's an accident I feel like this goes without saying but there's like a whole category of trauma related to body training for people really and it's specifically like bed wedding but like every time someone has an accident now that I've been paying my pants I bring it up all the time with the kids and they're like everyone makes mistakes we're still learning we say that all the time like with with if we have an accident or like uh everyone makes mistakes we're still learning and so just like be very great like to get mad at your kid for that seems really yeah crazy but yeah just talk about it in a really positive positive calm way no big deal yeah love that it's great advice hi my name is Emily and I absolutely love your podcast I listen to it every week and just look forward to some awesome girl time with lots of laughs my question for you guys is how do you deal with comparison or envy when it comes to your friendships with other women thanks so much to great question um thanks for listening Emily it's really sweet I I actually feel like that my biggest issue with comparison is I could isn't put to myself which is kind of like like a look back at pictures in the past and they make me sad like oh I look so you know I just I was it's so many things are going on then like how fun we're having like I feel like myself to myself is sometimes harder um I remember distinctly when I had my clothing business there was one girl in particular that we had started at the same time we were like I just felt like I was in competition with her because we around the same time so a lot of the same things and I remember feeling really bitter sometimes about her success because I know she was she had like really great months that she would talk about and I'd be struggling at different times and um I remember just really feeling like hey I have to pray for that girl like instead of being jealous and feeling that am I am I started to pray for her success and that was kind of like a switch in my heart that I needed of like it's not actually we're not in competition I actually can hope for her best and that's good like there's enough room for all of us um and I feel like it kind of took the attention away from the feelings of bitterness and jealousy and envy and I didn't switch to like I actually want the best for her so that's good advice yeah that's all I got honestly I think she was also mentioning specifically in like friendships oh I guess the mindset like I think we could look at our friendship and be like we're we're in similar fields of work like in different levels of success and I would say I've never felt like jealousy or anything I think I've always just been like really proud of you so with your friends it's I think it's taken the mindset of like oh look how much they have or what they've done and I don't have that I think it's more so just being like wow like that's amazing that you've accomplished that and use that more I was try to reframe your mind and turn that into um motivation and like excitement for your friend then maybe like oh I'm not good enough for you know instead of turning it into a negative for yourself you can just be happy for your other people yeah that's great hi girls a fellow midwestern here um calling just to ask about um how have you girls I know you have some in-laws or family close family members who live outside of the state um how do you guys have your kids keep up with them what are some fun ways that you include in-laws or parents that might live out of the state just in your kids' life whether that be you know these times or other creative ways to include them just in your kids' life thanks so much bye that's good one I think FaceTime is obviously great mm-hmm it's easy to fall out of that routine I feel like sometimes like having a set time for that is probably the best way to do it yeah um that's kind of a basic one I think there's a lot of really cute ways that like we like we for them give them like the digital picture frames and I feel like they just get sent straight to their frames so they can see videos and pictures of the kids like in real time like sending pictures a lot um also we should do this there's books where you can record the grandparent reading a book so then every night you could just play the audiobook like they can push the button and it's them reading that page and I think that's a great way to include them you can also do like yodo characters like or yodo cards like of the grandparent's reading one but also they're just including them in everyday conversations like we talk all its time about them like grandma and papa and like at night we always say like what we're grateful for and like we just bring them up a lot like our whole family and so it's just like a part of our conversation all the time mm-hmm and that's like that's something you as the parent can do like oh yeah what the kids is like so then when they see them it's like they're picking right back up right we talk about things that we've done they're like oh remember that time that we went like and we just explained things like grandma and papa's house and talk about it a lot yeah it's really good totally I don't have anything to add I think that's great all that was fun
If you also would like to call in which also we're so grateful when you do call in and we love hearing from you And it's such an honor the number is 602-456-9690. We'll also put it in the show notes Recipes we can link do we still want to do? Yeah, I can say a quick one Minds the Jennifer Aniston salad. It doesn't have meat in it so it keeps really good You can add like rotisserie chicken. It's a quinoa salad. It has veggies. It takes no time to prepare And it's just a really good like lunch or side option. I friend Kendall got me onto it and I've had it a lot The last three years. It's just a go-to Go with chips. It's good. Oh sure, my recipe is not I remember it This is specific if you have a bread maker, but I have a like honey wheat bread recipe You literally throw all the ingredients in order. It's very important that you put them in order in your bread maker And then you literally just set the bread maker on it and it'll mix, need, let it rise and bake it all in there And it's just honey meat bread and it's delicious and I've made it Sense Matt and I got before we got married. So I remember you making that in your first apartment It's filling bread and put some peanut butter on it. Oh gosh glass of milk. It's delicious. Yum Well, amazing you guys.
