[email protected]. C-A-A-B-I-E-B-R-U-K at gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you. [Music] Okay, I really first want to start with who are you? Where were you born? Tell me about your family. Like I know you have like a fun of siblings. I want to hear about that. I just want to hear like personally where do you come from? I was born in England. I'm one of 14 and I'm right in the middle. Middle child syndrome 101. Do you have middle child syndrome? Do you die? You know Mr. Thal with middle child syndrome? I do not. I grew up with a very fun lively family. My father was a dentist by trade and my mother spent her life doing outreach. And her life was honestly never about us. We always had people in our house. We were always moving bedrooms and it was chaotic but it was like fun chaos. Always something going on. And I've come to the realization, you know, now we're my own kids, the more you can actually make life not about you, there's so much benefit to that because you suddenly realize, hey you don't get caught up in your own world. So definitely a busy fun life. A lot of you know real good fight is kids a lot and we'd play 20 minutes late in the garden, break windows. Some of our best memories is you know playing outside and then smashing the window and then we learned how to actually fix the windows before my father came home. Really? Yeah like Tatyue smashed the window and you would watch his face like he's serious and then we like don't worry. Mommy took us to the store. We got glass and it's all fixed. But like for real? For real? Because if you hear you hear about that all the time, right? Like love and logic parenting, right? Is the natural consequence is like fixing the thing that you broke or if you can't fix the pain for the thing that you broke. And I always wondered like does that actually happen in real life? If people actually do that? Well I thought it was very handy. Yeah. He would do a lot of things painting and fixing around the house. He was very show and tell you know we learned how to do that. So we were a very normal family in that way. For me personally I was very shy. I was extremely shy and I'm still very reserved to quite spend a lot of time speaking to people but in my own life I'm the quiet guy at the back of the room and I would avoid crowd, I would avoid people would go, avoid going to camp. So I really did my own thing and life almost forced me to expand but it's only really through the work that I do today which we can get into. Yeah. It's really what helped me understand myself but I was very quiet kid even though I was in a very lively family. Right. You know it's funny because I actually can relate to that. I know because I have a big cousin on social media, well not big but big in my corner and my job or my life's work is outreach. So for my work I socialize and kind of is asked of me to be outgoing but in nature like I really relate to that. I'm also on the quiet side and if there's a big crowd in the room I'm going to be in the back of that room. You know like kind of keeping to myself finding one or two people to talk to and when I tell people like I'm an introvert and no one believes me they're like what are you talking about but I'm like but really I am and I think if you see me in real life like if someone comes over to me and says hello and talks to me I have no issue. Thank hi but in real life like I'm not the life of the party. I'm not the the one in the center of the room like I actually get really overwhelmed in like crowds and parties and you know big environments because I'm just like kind of I'm quiet. I don't think I would be calm at the shy but I'm definitely more reserved and quiet in a bigger environment so I get it but it's funny because people don't they don't doesn't match with what they see because when you're on camera like it seems like you're you're so outgoing but I'm talking to my camera like you know it's very easy to do that. Right so I was definitely shy debilitatingly shy you know I would sit on the plane and rather not ask the flight attendant for a drink then have to bother somebody so that that's where big family comes in you know I have a lot of siblings and how's my brother to be my spokesman. But do you have a lot of outgoing siblings? I do. Yeah are you one of the only shy quiet world? I'm definitely there's there's a few of us that are definitely on one the reserved shy or quiet side. Yeah fewer than more. I definitely check that box. Okay and then through your work which is energy work which we're going to talk about you kind of peeled away some of those layers and uncovered like who you are like what did you discover through your work? So as I evolved and you know went through life went through the Uxida system I felt somewhat trapped because you could feel it you know you when someone's looking at you you know even today I have a really hard time looking at people in the eye and I'm not on the spectrum and it's like from a shyness perspective anymore it's like I can really feel that energy. You all know realize the eyes are so powerful and if I I'm talking to somebody I'm going to say to myself "Oh, I'm looking at the eyes, looking at the eyes" but it's actually really difficult it's much easier for me to just look down the floor or look elsewhere and I know it's sometimes people can think that like what's up you know hello yeah it's actually really personal intimate to look into somebody's eyes yeah it feels really intense so as I've gone through life you know went through the Uxida system suddenly this shyness turned into anxiety oh it turned into anxiety through physical symptoms so I struggled with IBS and I struggled with reflux and just chronic fatigue and if I remember my algebra and I was just I didn't realize what was going on I just knew I was going to doctors I was on Compton I was doing this test that test and I was just evolving through a revolving door of I don't feel good and then we had three beautiful kids the oldest was four three and one and then 2012 my life took a complete turn it was January 2012 out of the blue my wife came home she was a preschool teacher and she said "I'm off to the wall" and she went to lie down and the baby was sleeping in the room and I walked into the room because baby was crying and I found that having a seizure
- And core nine or one, within two hours, they diagnosed it with a brain tumor. And-- - And then life is upside down. - Life was upside down for a long time. And life has been a journey since really learning to understand what's really going on. That's how I led me to the journey I am today. - Okay, so I have so many questions. But the first thing I want to go back to what you said in the beginning, like looking into somebody's eyes and how uncomfortable that is, I feel like it's because you're so in tune and you can feel the energy. I think a lot of people have no problem with that because they're not as in tune to themselves or the people around them. It's like that, you know, that gift of being able to help people through energy definitely has a really intense side that you have to figure out a manage. And it just reminds me because I remember reading a parenting book. I've read many. (laughs) Not a lot of them have helped. But, you know, one line of a book will always stick with me. And I remember reading like, you know, when you talk to your kids and you're like, look at me in the eye, right? Like, don't force your kids to look at you in the eye because a lot of kids who are struggling with behavioral issues, let do that. And it makes them very uncomfortable. And it's a lot of pressure. When you tell a kid, look at me in the eyes. And then it actually derails them instead of like, maybe another cue could be, can you hear me? Are you listening because that whole looking at me in the eyes, you know, could be difficult for kids who are very sensitive or feel deeply or struggling with behavioral or autism or whatever, that's a very hard thing to do. - So, regarding me feeling energy now that, you know, now that I'm aware of what's going on, I think that I could always feel it. And everyone can actually feel energy. It's something that's going around us, you know, the enough you're used is we've all gone to a red light and looked at the car next to us and the person's turned around. That is energy. That is a magnetic force of two people, energy connecting and you automatically turn around. The only thing about now that is different is I'm aware of it. So it's actually in a way easier now, although I've had to learn after doing this work, being drained by other people's energy, by doing the work to learn how to stay balanced, but we can all feel that. So if you have someone who is really sensitive and they're five years old, they may just be looking down on the floor and they can feel it too. They just cannot take you, they're not. - Right, express what it's feeling like. I tell my husband all the time, you don't realize how big your energy is. Like you walk into a room and I know your mood. And when sometimes I'll ask them like, what's wrong, you're just nothing's wrong. Why are you asking me? I'm like, you can convince me from today till tomorrow, but I feel your energy, right? And it's just very, very fascinating. I have a lot of questions about that, but first, let's go back to your story for a second. So your wife is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Take us from there. - Yeah, I've been really fast. I remember the next morning, she's in Austral and the neurologist comes into the room and scans on the screen above her bed and he's pointing to the screen and he's like, yeah, I'm not sure if it's an Hasterythytomo or Galeoma, but you know, good afternoon for the testing to see. And at this point, I don't know what you've told me. I'll just say that if I use words, whether I'm using Hebrew or whatever it is, feel free to translate. 'Cause this was actually a really light bulb moment for me. Now, I'm in a room with a doctor and he's using medical terminology. They don't use brain tumor. There's a lesion, which you're not sure of, it's an Hasterythytomo or Galeoma. There's no words. - You have no idea what you're saying. They're what they're saying. - Absolutely. And then he turns around and says to me, "By the way, your wife won't be able to drive for at least six months." And that hit me like a ton of breaths because my adrenaline is being going for the last 12 hours so I don't know what's going on in my life anymore. My life's just been turned outside now. We are a four-year-old, three-year-old, and a 12-month-old. And my wife does all the driving to school, from school, she's so active. And like, she can't drive. - Now your world's falling apart. - Yeah, right. You know, the fact that my wife is 29 years old, lying in hospital bed, being told that she has a Hasterythytoma. That doesn't mean much to me, 'cause I can't relate to it. And that really was such a crucial moment because when you're working with people, if you can't make something relatable, it's irrelevant what you're gonna tell them. It doesn't make a difference how much you can teach somebody, do you can't make the information relatable? It's not gonna stick. That moment was like a light bulb moment of my healing. And it went from that to, you know, six weeks of radiation, a year and a half of chemotherapy, a brain surgery, and, you know, I was constantly following up with doctors through the process, but in 2020, we were blessed with an incredibly lively baby boy, right in the middle of the COVID. And then a year and a half later, we had a baby go. So we have the older division. - The older division and younger division. What's how many years is there the break? - There's a nine-year gap between the older division and the rest has been a journey in between. - Did you know about energy work before your wife is diagnosed or was this the catalyst to get you going or when did that happen? - So quite soon after that, I realized I need to get my kids help. They were struggling some more than others. Some of my kids are very, very in tune, very again, not aware of what's going on. And when you have kids that age, you're going to start taking to talk therapy, it's not going to work. You play therapy. So someone suggested, why don't you try something called the emotion code? I didn't know what it was. And by nature, I'll be skeptic. - Really? Yes. - Okay, this is good. This is good. - Yes, this is not something that I'm going to like, oh yeah, this is cool. But I've actually evolved tremendously on a personal level through this. And as I said, I've not so much about myself. And a lot of the times that we're skeptics, it's a protective mechanism. We don't allow things in. We need to keep a safe space for ourselves. So I was introduced to the emotion code and I was like, this is interesting. And I got a practitioner to do some work on my one particular child. And while I was having that done, I started to educate myself. And I was like, it just resonated with me. And like, wow, this can actually make sense. And I started to connect moments in my life like, aha, wow, yes. So I got certified in the emotion code and the body code. And then that was really the catalyst to so many different modalities that I tried to incorporate today. But most of all, just really trying to understand myself. I find the more I understand myself, the more I'm actually a better practitioner. - Okay, so what is the motion code and what is body code? - In short, it's a modality that was created by Bradley Nelson and it's understanding the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is really the hard drive of everything that's going on. So often we have a reaction. We don't even know why we're having a reaction or something's bothering us. So these are all experiences that are stored in the subconscious mind. And when we are able to really understand what's going on, why it's going on, then we can really start to heal. So the emotion code is basically a chart of emotions. And the body goes a little bit more in depth of not just the emotions, but also on the side of the body, the mind body connection of what's going on in different parts of the body and how it could be affecting us physically, mentally, emotional and being able to have the understanding of the subconscious mind, understand what the body is saying, then we can actually start to heal. Okay, so I've been your client for many years, right? And so I experienced firsthand, like how deeply this has changed my life and really helped me feel in so many different ways for some context, like I was diagnosed with celiac 10 years ago. And I even went to go check because I was all of a sudden started having debilitating stomachaches, never had stomachaches in my life. All of a sudden I'm having stomachaches. And they were at a point they were very infrequent, but then they started to get more and more and more frequent. And once or twice a week was like out of commission, like I couldn't function. And I was like, I can't do this anymore. And I got an endoscopy with a biopsy and I was diagnosed with celiac. And I found out the diagnosis with a phone call from the gastroenterologist and they didn't even ask to see me again. They were just like, okay, you were diagnosed with celiac, they often gluten, you'll be fine. That was it, like nothing else. And so of course I go off of gluten and a lot of times many people who are celiac start to have sensitivity to other things. And I went off of dairy and then I found that like would feel relief for a few months and then all my symptoms would come out.
back and this trajectory was like I kept on eliminating more and more and more food. So I really couldn't eat very much. Every time I eliminated a food, I would get relief and then a few weeks or a few months later, all the symptoms would come back and I literally tried so many different things and so many different like supplements and you know, I tend to lean natural to begin with. So I just was doing everything that I could think of to do and I'm friends with your sister, Chateau, the machine and she's the one who said you need to talk to my brother like go talk to him. So that's how I was introduced to you and a long story short, you know, we started working together and you explained to me how like yes, you are having physical symptoms from the food that you're eating but it's not about the food right? It's what's behind the food. It's what emotions are coming up when you eat the food and now not only is it about that but now you are so cared to eat right? You have so much fear around food because every time you eat, you are worried about what is it going to do to you? Like how am I going to feel after? So there's all the fear surrounding food and slowly but surely we started to work on those emotions, work on the fear. I remember like one of the things that I don't even know fear about you so many people you work with and it's been years but one of the things that you told me that really stood out for me was like okay before you eat like a blessing and you say a blessing on your food, you need to tell yourself my body can handle this, eat your food, my body knows what to do with it, I will be okay, I will feel good and it was like a mantra right? A mantra practice of like showing my body that it is safe to eat and I remember that really had a huge impact on my healing and so naturally because I'm a shareer, I'm an introvert but I love to share, I'm sharing my experience with family and friends and talking about you know all of a sudden I'm eating again and I'm eating food and I'm feeling good and people ask me like what is emotion code? What is energy work? And I can explain it and say you know the subconscious and our emotions are tied to our our body and we need to release what's behind the symptom right? What is causing the symptom and what is building up in your body? But where do I get stuff? How do you work with someone over the phone right? Who's happening to your subconscious and is helping you release your energy? I don't understand how that works and honestly like I understand that we're all energetic and you know if you're in tune you can connect with someone else's energy but I don't understand it enough to explain how that works and eventually I'm like you know what? Right in my soul of souls and my heart of heart I just believe it right and so there is I think component of trusting and faith and belief that this is a real viable thing but for people who are skeptics and you were one too right? Like it makes no sense and so what do you say to that? Like how do you share with someone like how you are able to happen to somebody else's subconscious energy and help them release what's stuck? So I think the first thing is first if someone's listening to what you're saying they can be like well all right he convinced you that's not wrong with you right and right so it's not really like he's clitting I think the first thing is understanding is where it becomes really fascinating is when you work a little kids who have no idea that you're working on them you can't say now it's a placebo effect right because they they they have no clue so what we have done studying energy is we're so programmed that's only what we see you know we're doing this interview I'm in California young mind time we're talking to each other simultaneously we can see each other we can hear each other how does that work and the honest truth is most people will say I don't know but I know it works I don't know for sure most things in life that's how it works either I won't let go because I need to be in control so unless you can explain to me where I can really get it or I don't care because I know it works right so that's why you have the two groups of people the skeptics who unless you can really explain to me scientifically now there is a lot of scientific understanding how it works right energy quantum entanglement quantum physics you know what Einstein called spooky physics and the idea that energy is not found by time space or places it's everywhere all at the same time so we can all as I used before the analogy of the you know looking at how does that work that's a very very common thing that people experience that's energy you know you said before about your husband he walks in through me he takes out the space how many times the people walk out of a meeting and they say oh my gosh I make exhausted right and so many times people are just not in tune so they say oh god I didn't sleep well last night really what happened is you actually got zapped by someone's energy what that is more powerful than yours and you just go exhausted by that person's energy this is happening to all of us all the time so energy is something that's happening all around us we can all tap in how does it work it's really understanding the energy on a much greater scale that we are not just this physical entity we are way bigger than that and when you understand it you actually can open up your possibilities of so much going on in your life so basically energy is way bigger than what we think it is and when we can tap into those outlets we can actually transform we can heal and we can really let go so really people can do this for themselves if they really want to it's 1000 I am no gifted you know unique individual a person who is really determined to get to the bottom of things I like to dig and therefore I really want to heal I know how much I was inhibited as a child only now understanding and therefore I'm determined but it really is something that any person can connect to through always see a lot of work and determination and commitment so yeah I mean it's easier for people than you know go go to the gym it's easier for somebody to be able to work out you know everyone can work out if they if they want to commit to it correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that there are people in this world who are more open to like spirituality or energy or like have the gift of sensing things like I don't have this crazy story and it's it's a silly story but it's it's it really impacted me because the woman and the community that grew up in grew up in San Antonio very close family friend I was at my sister Devorah's wedding she's a second to youngest and we were at the breakfast after the wedding and this woman really close to her family came over to me and she's like brother who's my youngest sister's like brother's gonna get married this year I see it I know it and it's such a silly thing but if you take into context like when I said just got married my younger sister was totally not interested in getting married like if there's nothing on our family the trajectory always was at least two years between what and she's like she looked at me in the eye talk about looking in the eyes and she's like I'm telling you I'm a hundred percent sure and sure enough six months later she was married and it all came out as a surprise why am I saying this story it's because I do feel like there's certain people who have a more openness and in tune and sensitive like she's also type of person that when walking to a room and feel someone's energy and it doesn't work for her needs to walk out right she feels it too much so I guess either people dispensitize themselves or there are some people who are born into being more there's no question there's people who are very gifted and they can read or so they can just they can tell you what's going on and they'll be like you look fine they'll be like no you know and and they're like tell me what's going on and you're like how do you know so there's definitely a very gifted I I was very sensitive as I said I was very shy I was very you know reserved I was very in my own little cocoon but I really see something that I worked really hard to learn then you know I was born with this it actually reminds me I don't I think it was milk from glad well is that the right person I don't want to like make a full out of myself but you he wrote a book about talent and how people like natural talent versus people who like work really really really hard and there's some people who are born gifted like musically or whatever but though the people who really you see succeed even more are the people who like really really work hard at it and practice and who like don't necessarily even have an actual ability they just make it happen but it's interesting you took a hard work because I find that there's doing this you know someone from people come to me that like they they want help they have no idea what I do you know I can spend so much time okay they're asking me a question I'm like it's on your dime you know I can explain you but they want to know what's going on right so you know if you do the research of one to understand it will be definitely more productive for you so you have these people who want to know what's going on but then you have people who expect me to do this miracle right and and the thing I'm just this miracle worker that can you know because they heard this success story by somebody else and now go
do it for me. And then, you know, you have these people who put in the work and have transformation. And everyone's different with their journey and when they come in from what their body's holding on to, why they're holding on to it, etc. So I create a system where awareness really is rehabilitated. I'm going to give you the awareness that I feel really confident because I can tell you what your subconscious is holding on to. I can actually release stuff through connecting to your subconscious, through understanding your body and through your body realizing you don't need to hold on to it. But if you don't, you'll be able to take it. If you don't learn to actually reprogram your body, sit in front of that and say, you know, "Oh, yeah, my body's safe. My body can do this. I can actually get really excited. I actually remember telling you, quote, "on really high energy music before you eat and just get your body to high vibration." And you know, we could talk about getting in a high vibration, high levels of consciousness, which will really transform someone's life. But I think those ideas of that magical response versus hard work, people want a quick fit. Everyone wants a quick fit. And I really relate that because I actually have never experienced quick transformations. Like, it doesn't happen easily for me. Even working with you, even whatever I do, like no miracle stories have happened, no like big like wow, glaring like fast turnaround. Like I have to work really, really, really hard for the change that I experience. And working with you for so many years, I actually, like I was able to witness your trajectory of realizing that if I get the people I'm working with involved in the process, like the healing doesn't pull, right? You might feel really good for a little while and then you found that people were coming back and being like, "Well, I have the same symptoms," right? And I watched you really fascinatingly do that process, right? Awareness, release, rehabilitation, so awareness, and then you helping your client or whoever it is you're working with, release, and then rehabilitate. Like one of the strongest things that I got from you is number one, mantra. They're very powerful. And you know, you're very good at helping to still like a single sentence that can really help it's a narrative shift, right? You need to start telling your brain something different, right? So if you have a narrative in your head and it's keeping you on well, right? You have to change that narrative and you have to be willing to literally talk to yourself in the mirror and like every time you're feeling something come up for you, what are you going to tell yourself? What's the narrative that you're going to come up with? One of the most powerful things you told me is, which I needed, my body needed so much was just, this is hard. We're recognizing that whatever you're going through is hard. They're trying to change it without trying to wish it away just recognizing that this is hard. And I think a lot of it is we're releasing emotions, but where do the emotions come from? It comes from a narrative, it comes from our mind, right? The more we can train our brain to think a certain way or to send ourselves certain messages, it's a really an integral part of healing. So you know, one thing I was going to say a moment ago is this idea of this magical fix, there's three things that I'm really fascinated by, magic, the animal kingdom, and the military. And they really align over here. You know this person has no special powers, but you so just let go for that moment to be just mesmerized and you're shocked because this person has owned a trade and they've done it well enough to trick your mind. And that's what people want. People just want to be mesmerize me and take away my belief system and change it. Then you have people who are more aligned to that animal kingdom. What is the animal kingdom? It's survival of the fittest. But every so often, you go on YouTube, or you're watching an impala, be chased by a cheetah and it will outrun the cheetah, or it will fight back. And it's that determination that you have those people who are not going to go down easy. And even if they're outnumbered, or even if the odds are against them, they're going to be that impala who's going to outrun the cheetah, or going to be willing to fight back. And then you have the military. And the military is that one that you come in and you have your belief system. Whatever it is, I'm strong and weak. I have no jobs that I need a job. And they suddenly they pull back all those layers and they put you through boot camp. And then before you know it, you've completely changed how you see yourself, how you see your surrounding. So when I'm doing a session, if you expect me to do a magic trick, I'm not a magician and I can't. Yes, sometimes people can learn to do what ice bath or do that survival of fittest. And it will sometimes work. But if you really want to heal, you have to adapt the military mindset of pull back the layers. And when you do that, you're going to come out as a totally different person. It's so true. I think the big difference between when someone when I do a session, you know, I've had many of these types of sessions. So I worked on and I cared or worked on somebody and they've had a very, very positive experience. And the funny thing is they're very often I get no feedback because they've done a session and they move on. It's actually one thing I did a session of somebody. And I thought the session went completely wrong because I still maybe I said something because you know, they went quite during the session and it was it was years ago. And that was it. It was like, you know, it was abruptly ended. And I was like, I'm going to do my best. I'm going to show up trying my best. Anyway, a while later, she reaches out to me for somebody else in her family. And I'm like, okay, I was surprising. I never thanked you. You have no idea. You got okay, you never did. When I came to you for completely one away, but it was so intense as you were releasing it, I was just sobbing. I could not even get a word out. So that's why I ended it abruptly, but I just want to say thank you. So the thing to really understand is is it the experience that you're dealing with on a cellular level or is on a very, very superficial level? If it's on a superficial level, very often just clearing the emotional, the imbalance, or the belief around it, you're going to have a really, really great experience. If it's on a cellular level, you will now need to reprogram your whole, you know, all the way down to the cellular level. And that's when it becomes a lot more tedious. And that can happen even on a little kid, you know, talk about our daughter was born the youngest. I remember she was born and the nurse took it the way her and she just screamed. She just screamed. And after like 30 seconds, they gave her back to my wife and they were like, "We'll come back." And she was really an intense kid. She had a hard time nursing and my wife took it to a car tractor like she was like seven months old and the other's device that they go down the spine and they can see what their flow of energy is going through the body. And she was like, "What happened to this kid?" And I was like, "Nothing, she's just being like this from day one." And she's like, "In all my years of being a car tractor, I've only once experienced this much tension in someone." And they were, it was after a severe car accident. And we don't know how journey, how past lives obviously I don't do that when I'm doing when I'm doing energy work. But there's a lot of. A lot coming into play. Yeah, absolutely. And you know, as a practitioner, I'm going to pull back the layers that are in front of me. And if the person's actually really open to that, you can have an incredible, incredible experience. And I'll just tell you something that happened today. So if when I'm doing a session, I really try to engage, which is what you were just saying, really, and try to engage the client. So I'm not going to just go pull out like a jenga block from you and be like, "Yo, you have an emotion of anger, right? I'm going to take you on that journey." So this person's coming in and they're telling me that they're dealing with this issue. And I'm like, "Okay, let's welcome this together." And you know, telling them, "Just tell me where that feels anybody. Has I'm removing an emotion?" You know, and I'm like, "You have an imprisoned heart." And they were like, "What?" I was like, "Yeah." And how old. Where do you feel that anybody right now? And they were like, right in my center, my chest. I said, "And what age is coming to you?" And they're like, 16. And I'm like, "Interesting because what you're coming here for is something that's going on officially in your life right now, right? But you're not 16. You're way past 16." So we have to realize that there's a chain link experience that the body is going through. And the body's going to store it. And unless you're going to teach the body how to let go of it, the body's going to hold on to it until you give a commission. And if you suppress the emotions, guaranteed it will come at one of five ways. Exiting, depression, anger, chronic pain, or addiction. Guaranteed a minimum of one of those.
And once you actually give yourself the mission, the understanding, the awareness, the release, the rehabilitate, you can have life changing experiences. So that's basically how I try to go about my own life. I've seen tremendous transformation for myself. I do not take any medication. I do not struggle with fibromarja. I don't have any reflex. I don't have IBS. - So all the original issues you were struggling with, you don't feel the symptoms anymore. - No. - Wow. Um, okay. Are there people that you can't work with? Like, let's say somebody comes to you and wants to work with you, but you can't tap in. I remember you telling me with one of my kids, like, this doesn't happen to me often, but I say, can I tap in and there's a conscious that says, no, does that happen? - So it doesn't happen very often? It was, of course, it's going to happen to me and my kids and my family, but like. - The nice thing is, you know, I've learned new techniques how to build around that, understand that. But what's really going on is understanding why that would happen. - Isn't it a fear? It's probably a fear, right? - Oh, absolutely. - Fear is. Yeah. - Yeah. I mean, we have to realize that that's the awareness. When you realize what's going on with you, suddenly, you have now a choice to let it go or to turn around and say, hey, I am free from it. I can let go. I'm safe. I mean, I could just tell you story after story for hours of people who, you know, what that was going on, what was going on in their life and why it was going on. And they were shocked and they were like, oh, yeah. Like, why do I always turn around and go to, I know it's not good for me, but as soon as I get in the car, I ride away, seek food. And I just go get myself something that I know is not good for me. And the shame that comes with it and the frustration that you're spending so much time on it, I was like, yeah, that food is just comfort. And it's much safer to get comfort through food than get it through people because people are so intense. And you don't know how they're going to react. And you go back to your understanding of your child and they were like, oh, my gosh, that makes so much sense. So you have the awareness now, but your body's still not going to turn around and say people are safe or just going to turn around and say, hey, I can let go. So you need to actually really be able to turn around to the subconscious, to the energy field of what's going on. And then say, do you need it? And what's fascinating is so many times, I'll be working on somebody and I'm going to be clear something. And I'm going to say, so do you want to let it go? And they look at me and like, what's the question? And then obviously I want to let it go. And I'm like, OK, I just want you to listen. Listen to the inner voice right now. Will you let that go? And I'm like, they're like, no. No. That's happened to me multiple times. Like, can you let the phone? I'm like, no. Yeah, because there's a reason. There's a reason for it. So you can't just go put, as I said before, at Jenga. You can't just go pull out the block. Because now you're actually going to disrupt the energy flow in the body. Because although it's created this, that you don't want it. But for now, it's there for a reason. You can't go and just take off the training wheels of a kid who's lying to bike unless they actually know how to balance. Otherwise, they're going to get hurt. And then they're going to be fearful. So it has to be a process that you're working with the person as they do it. And I think that that's where, like, children are a little bit of a couch-choney too, right? Because they can't always participate in a very active way. I mean, just for my kids, so my kids are all adopted. And they all have that automatically brings a whole many, many, many layers to the table of attachment. And we talk about genetics and history and stories that come along with that. And I find that it's a little bit of a trickier process. Would you agree? Absolutely. So actually, some of the hardest people with the work on are kids for me. Because although the energy is actually a lot pure and they obviously don't let go, no kid wants to hold on. But so often, it's a mesh with the parents. And if I'm working on a kid and I move over to the parent, now you're not just working on that bed-ready or that sleep that provisional or that waking up in the middle of the night. You're working on really a meshed energy field. And so often, parents don't want to go there because they didn't come to heal. They came just to fix their kids because they're going to get the healing through having healthy kids. It's sometimes it's transformational because you start to work on the mom. And then some of my biggest healings have come through my children. I would say I can trace back every big healing breakthrough or even not even healing, but character development and big changes that I've gone through in my life has been through my children. Through a child's struggle or through a child pushing my buttons. For me personally, that's how my healing journey has been. I don't know what to do. I always use healing because it's not always healing. It's more of like awareness and wanting to evolve and change and show up in a more healthier, better way. So you're an easy person for this to work with because your growth mindset. You're always looking to grow and looking to evolve. There was a story told of a classic that came to Israel and he was struggling with financial burdens. And they're ever told, you know, in the center of town, they have that Ferris wheel. So he goes, yeah, he goes, that's life. Right now he's struggling. Just the Ferris wheel will go up. Give it some time, you'll do well financially. And the brothas came to him and he did very well. But really that is the metaphor of life. Always on a Ferris wheel moving around. So some days we're going to be in that really good place that life feels good. We feel invincible. We feel empowered. And then sometimes the Ferris wheel goes down. And it's actually at that moment that if you've done the work, you won't expect the magic trick that you can actually say, oh, I have all the tools to navigate. You know, I've tried so many different things. All of them have been with that hope that if I do this, it's going to give me that transformation experience. You know, for me, the biggest one was learning to do ice baths because-- It's going to-- [LAUGHTER] No, I just like-- But it was that-- I hate cold. I hate cold. I love the heat. I hate the cold. And the idea of going into something cold, it completely doesn't make sense. And what's the point? And what's amazing is, as you break that mindset and you sit in that ice bath, my kids will do it. My wife does it. And it's really, really empowering to realize, like, wow, it was just a mindset. And you come out feeling invincible. But guess what? It gave me that really good feeling. It gave me energy for the day. But it didn't take away any of my struggles. Until I learned to actually understand me. And once I did, I realized, no such thing-- there's no one out there who is better than anyone else. No one. There's no one out there that is this unique individual. There are no more people who have achieved abnormal things. I like that. So once you actually just realized, I was lucky with somebody who had a really distinct challenge. And it was really inhibiting their life. So I said them very quickly. The way, and as I said, it's coming from the lost office team. Why don't you go to the gym, but don't go to the regular gym. Go to a boxing gym. You really-- you're so frozen. You're so stuck. Anyway, I was watching a video short time after that of the Reva. And someone came to the Reva with the exact same challenge. And the Reva says to him, it's coming from the lost office team. And it was that moment. I was like, look at me. Oh, look at me. And then the Reva says to him, the golden, paired, male, of Tanya. And I was like, oh, that's where we-- [LAUGHTER] That diverge. When I listened to that, one of the things that says to me, paired, my male, is the-- it talks about the possible Bihni Hashem. It's all about me. That Hashem, God, is looking over you. And he wants to know what's going on in your life. And I suddenly realized I've done many different career changes. I've worked in a warehouse for a number of years. I managed a warehouse. I was doing-- Shluck, I was doing outreach. And when I heard the Reva say that, the thing that came over me was, you know, you're working in this company that the CEO adores you, loves you, wants you to succeed. Values. Does anyone part? The boss above you makes you crazy. And you want to just give up. You just want to give up, run away from your job. And it's just too much. And then I was saying, Hashem adores you. Hashem wants to know what's going on. But it's that boss. It's that inner voice. It's in your head that is just making a crazy-- you're not good enough. You're weak. You're scared. You're overwhelmed. And I was like, oh, so it's that inner voice.
inner voice is so powerful and all that inner voices, that three-year-old, that seven-year-old, that somewhere down the line that doesn't feel safe, that fear factor will completely cripple you. And once you learn to understand what your voice is saying, so much in your life will literally just start to melt away. You know, one of the things that I find so fascinating is consciousness. Because consciousness is that if you're living life from this low level of consciousness, everything around you will be affected through that lens. So the lowest level of consciousness is shame, right? That is really the lowest level and it goes to guilt, the apathy and grief, fear, anger, pride. So those are all like the lower level of consciousness. Pride always there's a much higher vibration than shame, but it's still the lower level. And then you have higher level where you have willingness and you have the reason, I love the enjoy and peace. Once you get to those levels, everything around you changes completely. You see life through a difference. So the analogy I use, hopefully I'll be able to give it over that the listeners can hear, is imagine holding a cup. This cup represents everything in your life. And people are going to try to write to you say, let go. This cup is filled with boiling hot water. Let it go. I'm going to drop it. I'm going to get burnt, right? There's reason why I have everything in my in this cup is the way it is. The challenge is holding the cup from the bottom. The bottom is shame, anxiety, overwhelm, fear, confusion. Those are the lenses that I'm looking through life. Don't let it go. Come from the top, come from a higher level of consciousness where I'm holding the cup from joy, acceptance, pride. Suddenly you have no poem letting go because every experience in your life was designed for you. Customs like, so you can't let it go because that means you're letting go of your life. The only thing is if you change your perspective, you will see the entire world differently. So go back and I'm turning around and saying, there's this 29 year old young mother of three. Life is great. She has these three kids and suddenly out of nowhere. She has this brain tumor. She wasn't sick. There wasn't any testing in there. They're like, oh my gosh, it feels so bad. That's crazy. Let me do it you from a higher level of consciousness. 20 minutes before she took an app, she was driving all the kids home. That means 20 minutes before she had that seizure, she was in a car with all the kids. We lived right by the hospital. The medics were in our house within three minutes or less. One of the top neurosurgeons in the world operated on her because of where we lived. And someone who was in the hospital, the exact same time she was, had the exact same brain tumor that she had. It took them two weeks to find it because he fell over because he had a seizure but they didn't realize. So he came with a broken shoulder. So that's what they thought they issued. And how quickly they found it with my with my wife. So it's only going to be about what level of consciousness you're going to see life. And if you learn to actually change the levels of consciousness to that high level, everything around you will change. So the idea that the rich get rich and the poor get poorer and it genetically happens the same. We all know people that have gone through really tough times, really tragic experiences. And yet no one wants to be their friend. That what we may say is toxic or they just take up everyone's energy. And they've gone through so much. The challenge is when you've gone through something really intense, which no one should go through. It's, you know, we don't understand it. Suddenly you get stuck in this low vibration. You get stuck in this fear. And then and then what happens is it starts to take a toll. Angus starts to kick in and you're dealing with you become numb, you know, apathy. The challenge is weight magnetic being. So you walk down the street and you didn't realize you just took on someone else's energy. And because you're so aligned to now shame or guilt or anger, you're just taking more and more of that, oh without realizing. Because that's the energy you're attracting, right? Are you saying that the energy that you're feeling or you're projecting is the energy that you're attracting? Absolutely. I always say this to my kid. I actually said all the time. I'm like the energy you put out there in the world is the energy you're going to get back. Well, this is this is a fundamental of Cicilis. You might not put it on the point, right? So we're mirror. Whatever you give off is going to be coming back to you, right? We're boomerang. So you have people who have gone through really tough times. And I'm not talking about toxic positivity. I'm talking about people who have found a way to see struggle is their own journey and saying, you know what? I'm not going to get stuck. Yes, it's difficult. My days are very filled with working with people, but I'm not walking around and cloud nine and this, you know, it takes a lot to keep your energy out, especially when you're working on people. And it's completely a work in progress to learn what is but what's actually changed as I've done it. I've actually found the people that come to work with me are very different who may have come to work me at the beginning. Yeah, because you're attracting the different. Absolutely. And I think the idea is that once we realize we do control. Yeah. What comes to us? We can suddenly change. I was working with someone earlier who was getting with so much physical pain and so much emotional pain. And I said, I'm just going to ask you a question and tell me what you get. I said, you have room in your life for a healthy relationship. And the inner voice said, no. And that was because they were carrying so much baggage that wasn't that imagine going in the air. Well, you see the car or so. And then you start to get everyone else's suitcases off. None of the clothes over there going to fit you. You know, I love my years to do a podcast. It's based on the concept of Varshan. It says, everything in life is a life lesson to service. I would love to do a podcast on every single idea out there like space for takes space for a distance of all the life lessons from baseball and then do life lessons from the mailman. Hey, that's a great idea because those going to happen is you suddenly going down the road and you see that track the trailer. They're 18 wheeler. You're like, oh, that's a lesson for for a show. You know, imagine imagine a mailman. He comes to live a, you know, your Amazon delivery. Imagine Amazon delivery only gets paid if the person is home. Oh, hey, you realize he's going to have to call you. I'm not going to be home in 20 minutes, right? Okay, okay. I'm going to come back. He doesn't do that. His job is to deliver the packages. If you're home, great. If you're not, I'm going to leave it there. Right? The same thing in our life is we don't have to carry everyone else's packages away for them to be home. We have to know what is going on inside us. If it's, if it's, if they're home, great. I'm going to give you what I can give you. If you're not home, I don't relate to you. You told me that, okay, in the first, I don't know, a couple sessions and it had such a deep impact on me that I actually was interviewed by human and holy right when she started her podcast. And I literally based what I talked about on what you said about, we can only open your mail, right? And if it's your mail delivered to you, that means it's yours to open and yours to deal with you. You don't, you don't other open other people's mail. I tied it in the whole idea of life divine providence and everything that is meant for you is meant for you. And but like, it's a really amazing concept. But so many of the things that we're talking about, just speaking from experience, it's so much easier said than done, right? Like it's take like you, like we said in the beginning, it's so much work and you really have to be committed because I find like in this journey, like I align with this belief, right? And I totally buy in. But even so, and you can attach, because I call you about it, is like, I get stuck, right? You get stuck in the narrative or you get stuck with like, you know what? I'm done, right? I'm done. And sometimes, I mean, I talked to you about this. Sometimes you just want to be mad and you want to be kind of a jerk. Yeah, I mean, here's the thing, you know, living in California. So many times people come to California, they're like, oh, you want to come? You know, I'm going to be, you know, I'll be in LA and I live in Long Beach. And I'm like, you know, that's that's maybe 25 miles away. But that's going to be an hour and 20 minute driveway because traffic in California, right? And we have so much traffic in our life. And we will be great in life if we could always just drive pedal to the metal. You know, I'll tell you a story that happened this morning. We were sending our kid off the camp overseas. And our wife takes him to the airport at 430,
this morning. And at six o'clock my phone rings is my wife. She's like he meets his birth certificate to fly with. They need two forms of ID to the country that he was going along. His flight now is in an hour. So I jump up, I get my wife the birth certificate. She drives right back there, but now she's being now on loop for, says 430. And she gets the airport. And I say to send a message, I like what's going on. He's online. It's 645. I say what time does this flight kick off? And she says 7. I was like, okay. They old me for sure what a lot so triggered. How do we miss this? What's she turned around? She says Hashem runs united. Well guess what? He missed this flight. He didn't, he did not make his flight. Anyway, she goes, she park. She goes over to the counter. And there's this lady behind the counter who's like, you know, he needs this passport. He needs this idea. I send a whatever I can or what's that. The lady photocopies it. He gets on the next flight. And whatever it is, it's not always you meant to get on that flight. Not always is things meant to be the way you think. Bottom line is once you actually learn to go from a higher level of consciousness, you know, Hashem runs united. That doesn't mean that that's going to go your way. I talk about this all the time just because you have faith and you believe it doesn't mean it's going to go the way that you think it's supposed to go. And I feel like that's a very hard pill for many people to swallow. It's like you think that if I pray hard enough or if I beg for enough or if I am good enough or if I have enough faith and it's going to turn out the way you expect. And I've learned that over and over and over again my life that I just, it doesn't, what I'm trying to say is that it could still be good, but it doesn't mean that it necessarily always feels good to you. What the reason is because we believe we know where we should be going. We have the GPS. We know where we should be going. This is the GPS, right? I know down if the experience with my wife wouldn't have taken place, I will for sure be doing the pilot's second, doing all the medication I was doing. I'm probably more because my body would have found another way to get activated. So living the way I'm living now is a dream compared to what it was. And no, not saying everyone should go through that experience that I went through. But that was your journey. Absolutely. It would be so nice if we could have that fast track lane that we could drive in the freeway with no gratification or the feel good experience that we're looking for or things always working out in the end. It doesn't always work out. Because it's my life, it's my male, it's my bill to pay. The only question is what vibration are you going to look at it through? Am I going to look at it through anger, resentment, confusion, loneliness? If it's my life, I have every single key to open up these channels. The only thing is I have to find the key. I have it with envy. I just need to make sure I can find it. You know, I have a whole lot bunch of keys on a key ring. It doesn't mean that the one you're going to realize is going to be the one for the door. Sometimes you have to work out what is the right key for the door. Now, the fumble a little. Okay, I have two questions to wrap up with. The first one is you mentioned before toxic positivity, right? So how do you differentiate what we're talking about here? Do the toxic positivity where I guess from what I understand as toxic positivity is like you're not really aware with what your body's feeling and how you're doing and you're just dismissing it and being like it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, right? Versus really digging deep to understand where your emotions are coming from and then transforming your narrative to a higher vibration. Because people are going to keep people can listen to this and be like that sounds like toxic positivity that's like all you're supposed to look at everything in the positive way. You know, like how do you differentiate that for people? Talks is positive in the way I see it is when your mind is telling you one thing and your body is telling you something else, you have your gut screaming at you, right? Oh my gosh, I can't. And meanwhile, you're turning on say it's going to be amazing, right? And your body's screaming at you. That's where the it's hard comes in, right? Actually, because you're listening to your body. So I'm going to use a concept from Terra is the spies who went to spy at the land, right? They're spying out. They see everything and they come back and they give her a poor. It's this giant's there. There's a lot of struggles when I face. You have two other spies who go in spy at the land and they come back with this glowing report, right? What they didn't see what the other spy saw. So he's a great example of toxic positivity. Just, you know, the the systemic terminology, truck of a Zangol thing positive or be good. He's the thing. Colleven, you sure didn't say one thing and felt something. They believe and they felt it. They had seen all the miracles before. So therefore, oh, I sham took us out of Egypt. He's the scene. So he can't take care of whatever we're seeing. So therefore, because there's the belief and a feeling that our line is not toxic. The challenge is when you start to say something to your kids, you're so scared of a dog. You're petrified of dogs. Dogs are not scary. Dogs are really nice, right? Your kids can feel that. They can sense that from a mile away. Yeah, for sure. That's toxic. And your body can feel it too, right? And that's where you end yourself up in a deeper hole. Right. So is it to have to nail everything till the end? You in this struggle, right? But where I see it is, if you turn around to you and say, you know what, I'm really afraid. I recognize that. I wish my body was aligned. But I know that I'm going to take deep. I can do this. I trust my ability. And I'm also acknowledging what my body is saying. And I see it depends on what the person is dealing with. The wording is going to be different. But the key is to understand so many of the neurons and the chemicals in the brain are actually fueled by the gut. So if you just run from your head and you ignore the feelings in your body, you can end up with an adverse reaction. A stomach ache. Okay, so last question. Okay, I'll see how I want to word this. You don't see a lot of mainstream, acidic, Jews kind of lean in to this energy field. And yet at the same time, like when we talk about it, it's like, if you learn tanya or you learn the esoteric essence of the Torah, it's like all about the energy, right? And our soul and the dimensions of our soul and, you know, I mean, we are energetic beings. That's what we are. So I guess my question is, you know, you're pretty mainstream in, you know, the world. How did you tap into really connecting with energy? A lot of people in the religious world are scared of energy because it's unknown. And then it feels like a slippery slope to other dimensions, path like progressions we talked about and other things that really scare a lot of people. So how do you navigate that? And also for yourself, like how do you always make sure that you're aligning with your faith and your values and your vision? Does that make sense? I think so. Regarding, I think there's a few things. Regarding the the elastic issue that potentially could play it out of the, there are many. And, and, and that's when it becomes very complex because there are a lot of energies out there that are problematic if you are. We're not supposed to be tapping in here. Absolutely not. And, and there's a part of, it's a part of, so you have to be very, very careful with what you're connecting to and what you're tapping into, and where's where are the sources and, and so on, so, so for me personally, I found a, a, a, a, who is very well diverse in this area. And he was my mental who I asked, what is okay? What is not okay? And that's how I personally have gone about it. Right. And that's how you stay grounded in your, yeah. And also you have to be confident in what you're doing for it to, to really be effective. It's important to like know and be confident in your work. The for me the biggest thing was tapping into energy that is not kosher. It's really problematic. Right. For me, I needed that clear understanding what I can, what I can't do. A lot of it is, is, is just unknown, as you said, so you know, people don't know what's what is and what isn't. So those people, you know, there's just unknown and with anything that's unknown, there's confusion. I think a lot of people are scared of, I wouldn't even call this great area, but for certain people, if it's not black or white and it's not clearly defined in your own mind, like it becomes scary. You know, absolutely, and it is, it isn't, you know, a clear understanding of what it is, the story that you share. I will,
never tell people anything from past lives. Yeah. Or I won't tell anyone from the future, right? Because these different guidelines that I was told to completely stay away and see even if something does come to me, my intuition will open up and I'll say, I don't give anyone any, this is what you should do, this is way, and even when I'm picking up on something, you know, when I'm picking up something that's really intense from their childhood, I'm not going to turn around to them and say, by the way, this happens during your three years old because that's something that is totally aligned to the work that I'm doing. But I'm not going to put information into your head that you do know about if I can clean it out without you even having to have to go through that experience. So I think it's a very nuanced area, the whole energy world. And I just try to stay within my lane for the best part. And going back to the beginning, the skeptic inside me was protecting me. And the more I've taken off those lands to need to protect myself, I no longer feel the need. Yeah. Well, so this is amazing. Thank you so much. I feel like there are so many things to take away from our conversation. And it's very fascinating because we ended up speaking a lot about is our own abilities and our own like what's in our in our control. And I find that to be very comforting, Gary and comforting at the same time. Gary, because like sometimes you look at like, oh, I have control over this. This is all my work. Like it would be so much easier to just go to an energy healer or go to a motion co-partitioner and be like, oh, you just fixed me, right? But we what we've discussed and what we learned is that we really have to be participants in our own healing journey. And I just hope that if you go away with anything, it's really understanding and starting to appreciate the power that we have within ourselves to really know and be peeled away some of those layers so we can really become self-aware and intuitive enough. And I'm just going to end with one little quick thing is that we had a session pretty recently. And throughout the session, you were like asking me questions and I had to answer yes or no, right? Just like quick, like subconscious. And that's how the trajectory of the session went. And whatever I said, you went off of that. And I remember thinking in a moment, like, why are you trusting? Like this is very like, it's so much easier if you come up with those answers forming like you'd be so much easier and I have an easier time trusting it. But because it came from me, I found myself like second guessing what I was saying. And I just found that so powerful. We need to really trust ourselves and come into understanding the reason why you kept bringing me into it and me having to answer the questions is because if we're going to heal, right? And if we're going to affect change, we need to really be a partner in that healing. And you can't just come and be like, please fix me and take away all my pain. And it just doesn't work that way. So for everyone out there who we all have the things that we struggle with, we all have so many experiences that we've gone through, emotions that live inside of us. And maybe open yourself up to understanding who you are and how you can move through this world in a higher vibration. Absolutely. Right? Absolutely. And okay. So thank you so much. I'm pleasure. Okay. So I'm sure many of you learned a lot of interesting new information in that episode. I would love to hear your thoughts, guys, send in your question answers, then I can respond to them on the next podcast. So if there's something that came up for you in this podcast that you want to know more about or you want to add your own thoughts to, I would obviously love to hear that. I did forget to mention in the intro that the sound quality for this episode is not the best. We had like a few episodes that were we were struggling with the sound. So this is one of them. But again, you know this already. We're getting the hang of it and we're getting better and better. So thanks for your patience on that. So I think we're going to dive right into question answers because I think after listening to this episode with my sheet, I don't have so much to recap because I think I share so much in the episode and I would just really love to hear how it landed for you. And if you know you learned something new or it helped you become more open-minded into something that you were previously not open to. So remember, share feedback. Would love that. Always, always so helpful to share a review and to rate the podcast. It just helps us chug along. So thank you for that. But without further ado, we're going to go into some question answers and not surprisingly, a lot of the questions were centered around either the episode, the previous episode that I did with Shashana or my trip to Israel. I think there were a lot of questions about the trip to Israel because I hadn't really done a full recap until I posted my sub-stack. So a lot of the questions about Israel are answered in that sub-stack. So go read it, sign up for my sub-stack, subscribe, you can choose to give a little sponsorship or it could be totally free. It's up to you. So that's where you'll get like kind of like the full recap on the Israel trip. But just briefly, I went to Israel for a wedding and I stayed for two days and I really wanted to be super intentional about how I spent my time because I had a very short amount of time and I really was happy with what I chose to do. I went to Nova and I speak about my experience in the sub-stack and it was very impactful and I went to the Kotel and I walked around Jerusalem and I really felt like even though I was there for such a short amount of time, I really did feel like I was there and I was able to tap into the energy and it really did something for my soul even though it was so short. So I'm grateful that I got to go and I can't wait to go back. That's the truth. So for all the details, you know where to go. Regarding questions about Shashana's podcast, first of all, it was a really vulnerable and brave thing for Shashana and I to do. So thank you for embracing us and loving us and being our biggest cheerleaders and really accepting this podcast with such love. It really, really means a lot. So I just wanted to say thank you and there was a few questions that came up that I can briefly address and then obviously we can always talk about it more at further occasions. So one of the questions was, do you think your experience was different because of adopted versus biological? So was the experience different because Shashana was adopted versus biological child? I actually thought about this question and I like kept debating on how to answer it because I wasn't exactly sure. Like on the one hand, of course, a biological experience is different than an adopted experience, hands down. But on the other hand, like no two experiences are the same. So it's hard to answer that kind of question because I think the point, the point is to really hone in on the individual experience and really pay attention to what's going on for your child. And I get the question and I do think like I don't know like if this particular scenario, I don't know if she's asking if this particular scenario, if would be addressed differently whether my child was adopted versus biological or is that a whole experience in general different. So yeah, I just think when you are raising children through adoption, it is a completely different foundation. It's apples and oranges. I know everybody likes to say like kids are kids, all kids are hard, all kids are wonderful, all kids, you know, all kids, you like to lump the whole like all kids are dot dot dot. But the truth of the matter is, is that raising adopted children is very different than raising biological children. I don't, I'm not saying better or worse, I'm just saying different and it's important to recognize that that you're dealing with a different baseline. So I hope that answers the question. How did you find out about what happened in high school with Shoshana? I thought I addressed this in the podcast, but just I think it's an important thing to clarify like she told me like there's no, I mean I found out because she told me so Bar Hashem for that. And this question was a really really really good question.
you nervous to send another child to high school after your previous experience? And it's so interesting because I don't want to say like it didn't even cross my mind like to compare the two scenarios. First of all, it was many years ago, different child, different circumstances. I was nervous to send my current child to high school just because you just want them to be happy, want them to be a good fit. It's hard to let like your child free so young. So those things are hard, but it actually never crossed my mind to be fearful because of the experience, my previous experience. I don't know if that's like naive or silly or dumb or I don't know, it just, it just didn't. It just didn't. So that's that's my answer to that. And then we have a few short questions that I'm going to answer just because they're great, they're short. Is skiing good in Montana? I can't believe I have to answer this. It's fabulous. Skying, it's a fabulous in Montana, big sky country is amazing. I mean, big sky ski resort is amazing and it's actually the biggest ski resort in America. So really good skiing, the reason why it's not as necessarily popular as some of the resorts in Colorado or Utah, it's because it's harder to get to those don't. It's hard to find a direct flight although things are getting better and you're able to find some direct flights at certain times of year. So yes, the answer is yes, skiing is fabulous. Someone asked me an interesting question which it's funny because I'm not a doctor, but I guess it's good timing because after the episode of Mashi Weimbe, I'm all about healing, but someone asked me like I keep getting hives. What do I do? And my answer to that is it's an obvious like histamine response. Your body is reacting to something that it feels allergic to and it's an inflammation and definitely needs to be addressed. So I don't know how you want to address it. Maybe you want to do a motion code. I don't know, but you need to find out like what is aggravating your system and what is causing it to break out in hives. It could be something physical. It could be a food. It could be like a product or it could be something emotional or something that you're like holding onto or it could be both. So definitely something to take care of. Definitely your body sending you a message that it's not happy. So I'm glad you asked the question because I do think it's important. And for the last question and I'm going to, I'm going to read it from my phone because it was too long to really write down, but here is the question. And I think it I don't know, maybe I should say this question for next time. And these a little bit of a longer answer. But I guess we can start and see where it takes us and then we can always continue on the next podcast. But this is the question. Your thoughts on too much therapy. Does it create space to always think about what's wrong and what can be better rather than just having a grateful attitude? When one is in need or just recovering from need, I think it's awesome. But I'm watching so many go for never ending therapy. And I think at some point it may do more harm than help. Did the rubber have an opinion on this? Okay. So wow, there's a lot to unpack there. I think the rubber was of the opinion of having a healthy mental state. So whatever that takes within the confines of halacha, that's what the rubber would say. Like how are you going to be emotionally and mentally healthy? So for many, that's therapy. Now can therapy be overused and misused? Absolutely. Unfortunately, I'm hearing more and more that there are some pretty bad therapists out there. So if you're having an experience of a bad therapist, like that is obviously going to be detrimental and get out. I actually explained a few podcasts ago, the criteria for a good therapist. So you can listen back. And if you don't know if you have a good therapist or not, there are ways to figure that out. Now, I think when therapy is done correctly, it's really, really, really powerful. And like I said, when it's not done correctly, it's very detrimental. So if you want to adapt this attitude of just being grateful all the time, that is a beautiful goal. But if you go about it the wrong way, it could be very toxic. So if you try to keep pushing away your feelings that come up for you, and you feel shame around some of the hardships and some of the struggles you're having and you just keep forcing yourself to be grateful, you're going to be a powder keg and you're going to give my she-wine mom a lot of business. You know? So the point is, is to really address and pay attention and to feel your feelings so that you can then be grateful for what you have. And that is tricky to navigate. And it sometimes takes a long time to figure out how to do that. And I think that's where therapy has a really powerful and comes to good use. We are complex beings with complex emotions and we all have our struggles and our challenges and we need help. Like we're not in this world alone, we're supposed to have help. So short answer therapy is an extremely powerful tool when used correctly. And when you have the right goal in mind, if your goal of therapy is just to wallow into vent, okay, great, you have some sort of vent, but you're not in growth. You're not going to change. You're not going to learn anything. You're not going to be different. But if you're if your goal of therapy is to constantly evolve, constantly have character development, constantly work on how you show up in the world. And your goal is to feel gratitude and your goal is to be happy. You have to realize that you have to pay attention to the feelings that come before that. Once those feelings are paid attention to, that that makes space for true gratefulness and true positivity, not the toxic push away other feelings kind. So hope that answer was helpful. Okay, so this podcast does not come about magically and I don't do it alone. I have such an amazing team behind me that makes this all happen. So obviously I'm your host, Chavi, our producer and creative director is Ellie Bedchion. He's awesome. Wouldn't have this without him. Audio is edited and mixed by Reed Ceeley, Music by Basia Shachter and Daniel Orey. And this is totally unexpected.
