The podcast features a mix of humorous anecdotes, personal reflections, and promotional content. The host recounts a challenging tour in Houston, where poor acoustics and sparse crowds made performances difficult, yet he still found joy in the interactions with fans, especially Mook, who shines as a charismatic and popular guest. The episode highlights a touching moment when the host meets his mother and sister at the airport, bonding over warm, genuine conversations. A fan named Bella is celebrated for her support, having shared her life journey through YouTube and gifted the hosts cigars. The show also includes a satirical take on movie tickets, where the hosts debate the value of VIP packages, ultimately concluding they are overpriced and not worth the cost. Throughout, the hosts promote various brands—Body Armor Flash IV for hydration, Bombas for cozy fall fashion, DraftKings for sports betting, and Ryobi for outdoor gear—while maintaining a lighthearted, conversational tone. The episode blends comedy, personal storytelling, and brand messaging, offering listeners both entertainment and insight into the hosts' experiences and values. Despite the lighter content, it underscores themes of connection, authenticity, and the importance of human interaction in a digital age.

Alrighty, welcome back to the Son of a Boy Dad podcast.
We are back from fish week.
And everything else.
We've returned.
We're here.
Yeah.
How you guys doing?
Did I tell you that?
I went on to Houston and. Oh, from fish week.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
And the shows were a grind.
Yeah.
Crowds were nice, but it was lightly attended.
And then the room, acoustically, was just a vacuum.
There were carpets everywhere.
It was the most, like, muffled. I mean, any noise was just sunk.
Yeah.
So I felt as if I was practicing my set.
To myself.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Like, I was rehearsing to a wall.
Yeah.
At times.
And I knew it was bad when all the DMs that I got after were like,
hey, man, I don't know what was up with those people.
We thought you were funny.
Oh, that's the worst.
Sorry about that crowd.
Yeah.
You know, we thought it was good.
Must have been a whole bunch of Gen Z people or something.
My wife and I had a great time.
Oh, man.
Anyway, so. Do they like mook, at least?
Well, there was one show. Yeah.
There was one show where I didn't do particularly well.
And I came off and I was like, mook, they were terrible, right?
And he's like, oh, no, I thought pretty good.
I'm like, you need to lie in this situation.
You work for me tonight.
Fucking fruitcake.
No firm beliefs.
Yeah.
But then there was another one where he didn't do as well and I did okay.
How pumped were you when he didn't do well, finally?
I didn't ever root against him.
I mean, I had a ball with mook.
Yeah.
Mook was hysterical.
I heard he got off early on the first show.
Yeah, he did.
Five minutes early.
Five minutes early.
I was literally like walking into the bathroom.
Yeah.
And the host was like, ah, come out.
Yeah.
And then he was like, yeah, I don't know what happened, dude.
I just forgot a whole bunch of bits.
I'm like, dude, you're only doing 20, you know?
Anyway, but the best part with mook, it's just me.
Observing him was what cracked me up.
Yeah.
You know, he, he thinks he like lives in a healthy way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he doesn't at all.
What is he?
What was he doing?
Well, you know, like we, we, he was, we were going to go to the movies.
We went and saw project hail Mary.
I heard.
Yeah.
It was great.
And, um, he met me and he had a bag of like gas station snacks that he was just walking
with to the movies.
He was going to have this before.
We got to the movies.
Oh, wow.
And it was like a fucking slim Jim and like, you know, saying good, just nonsense.
I heard he's back on the bottle.
He's drinking again.
Yeah.
I've heard he's back on the bottle.
Yeah.
He kept, he was having dirty, dirty martinis at night.
See, this is all work that I've done to help him out.
And you reversed all of it.
Did not enable his drinking whatsoever.
Booze got him off the snacks.
He said he'd been thinking about the dirty martinis.
And it was like all he was thinking about.
In fact, there was a night where I went to bed and he went to the bar.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He does that a lot.
That's his go-to.
And he was just smashing dirty martinis.
Yeah.
He likes to stay up past bedtime.
Was it a nice bar?
Did he go somewhere nice?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The hotel, my hotel bar.
Oh, four seasons.
Yeah.
It was great.
Oh, so those are incredible martinis.
Yeah.
Really?
So he went to your hotel to go to your bar.
The first night we, I brought, we went for a nightcap at my bar after the show.
And then he, we, he, we went back every night.
I didn't go back the second night, but he came along and he came, he came with two girls
that had, that came to the show.
And when I say they came to the show, I mean every single show.
Oh yeah.
They came Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Yeah.
Moog's crew.
I don't know.
Am I allowed to talk?
Am I allowed to talk about him like that or no?
His angels?
Moog's angels?
Yeah.
Lucy Lou and.
They were great.
These girls were really nice.
I, I just.
I just said hi to them outside the green room, but, um, Moog, uh, Moog had a nice evening
with them.
That's crazy.
Moog's going on the road.
Moog's bringing girls back to your green room.
Dude, he, he had.
He's doing fly outs like an NBA player.
He had those girls.
And then I'm sitting having a drink with him on Saturday and he gets a text and he's like,
oh shit, uh, I'll be right back.
I'm like, where are you going?
And he's like, this girl just texted me.
And I'm like the one from last night.
And he goes, no, no, another girl, a fan.
And I'm like, what do you mean?
And he goes, she's got presents.
For me.
And I'm like, what?
And he goes, yeah, she's got presents.
In fact, it's her box.
She had presents for both of us.
And since it's present Tuesday, I figured I might as well pass this on.
Oh, hell yeah.
This is, um, she's a female listener of the pod and it's worth sharing how she learned
of it.
Um, she's been watching YouTube for med school purposes, lecture study tips, just flash
her handwriting, her handwriting.
And the spacing between each one of the lines is incredible.
Yeah.
Perfect.
Um, and this led her down a Louis CK rabbit hole about his grandmother donating her post
mortem body at, at medicine, which led into a comedy thing.
And she found us this podcast truly keeps me sane.
Perhaps that's not what you want to hear from your doctor, but all the best to you guys.
Her name's bell Bella.
Excuse me, Bella.
And she got us three really nice cigars.
What?
So thank you, Bella, Dr.
Bella.
And we'll save these for our next.
Wait, is this Bella?
Bella?
Who's that?
I don't want to say her last name.
Is it the Bella from, from like the chat?
I don't know.
Who the fuck?
Yes, it is.
Bella.
Wait, she rules.
Bella from the chat.
Yeah.
She's always in the live chats.
Wow.
Great handwriting, Bella.
Shout out, Bella.
That's so nice.
She got us those cigars.
She did.
White one.
And then.
And then Mook wanted me to give you a late birthday present.
Oh, great.
So this is from Mook to you.
Sweet.
Here you go.
Oh, nice.
What?
Drake May.
I'll be having this.
Let me see it.
I'm going to be keeping this, brother.
Let me grab that.
I'm going to get my hands on that.
I'm going to hang on to this, brother.
Sorry.
I'm going to need that.
I don't think so.
What is it?
Drake May signed?
Is it auto'd?
Fuck you, brother.
See, that's not nice.
You see how he looked at it?
No, but it's limited edition.
It's a perfectly rated card.
It's a game worn jersey card.
Beautiful.
That's a Drake May game worn jersey card from Mook to you.
Well, thank you.
Because his brother works at a card store.
Of course.
What are you going to do with that?
I'll put it next to my Gerard Mayo card that Mook gave me.
Nice.
Yeah.
Shout out, Mook.
Do you collect cards?
Just the ones that Mook gives me.
Yeah.
Mook is some kind of a girl whisperer.
I've never seen anything like it.
How do you mean?
I mean, he just, he's like a, he's like a moth.
He's like a flame.
It's because you got him back on the sauce.
What are you, he's got game?
They were flocking to him like moths to flame.
You should see it when me and Mook go on the road.
Strictly business.
Tons of chicks?
Zero.
No one's going in the green room.
No one's even getting near the green room.
Yeah.
Well, we didn't, they didn't come in the green room.
You said he had.
They came right outside the green room.
I was right outside the green room and they were that, they wanted me to sign like a hat
and stuff.
Got it.
These are autograph seeking females.
That's crazy.
That's rare.
Tell me you didn't sign any blanks.
No, I'm pretty sure Mook signed one of their boobs with his mouth.
What?
You know what I mean?
Like when you put the Trump mark on.
He drew his name with his tongue.
That's crazy.
Like a quadriplegic artist.
That's it.
Damn.
He's up to no good.
Quadriplegic artist.
Oh my God.
Just used his eyes.
Is that what Mook is up to?
Dude, I'm telling you the Mook, the Mookster, um, I called him a Mecca Mooka for all weekend.
That's so good.
That was kind of fun.
That's so fucking good.
And, uh, had a good time with him.
He really cracked me up.
But yeah, the shows were a little, little bit of a grind.
And then, uh, I was like texting our, you know, guy and being like, yeah, I don't think
this is going to go very well as a weekend or agent.
And, um, he was, he was like, ah, whatever.
And then.
And then they paid me and it was like,
I was like, whoa, this was much more
than I thought this was gonna be.
i was trying to calculate ticket sales and stuff like that throughout the week and then they just
texted my a our agent today and they were like hey we overpaid them by thousands of dollars
that's that when they do that that's happened to me a couple times they should just
let you have the money i mean i don't know what i already spent it yeah it's crazy to have someone
walking off being like nice solid weekend i literally already spent the money so if they
want it back it's gonna take some time yeah what did you spend it on i thought that you had a
embargo on spending yeah i know i do i just been uh those look like new salvage denim no no no
these i've had since uh denver i bought these in denver um so what'd you buy heard you guys hit
lululemon pretty hard yeah i bought new underwear there which i really needed was that like a panic
move like were you like out of underwear on the road i've been out of no i've been i've been out
of underwear for months
because i've had to hit that i've had to hit the door dash but i've been girl mathing my way where
i'm like well i spent thousands of dollars on japanese clothing so i'm not allowed to spend
65 on seven new pairs of underwear that's smart 65 for seven i don't know what the fuck it is
that's not bad at all that's not what lululemon that's 65 for one pair that's not true at lulu
or it's at least 65 for three he's charging like 30 bucks a pair i think no they're we
went to an old navy in minnesota together and bought underwear and it was like where i was like
25 25 bucks a pair i bought uh i bought two three packs of underwear from lululemon you're right it
was probably it was 20 bucks a pair it's got to be at least 20 20 a pair i'll find out i would
expect it to be 60 like you said lululemon is some high quality nut huggers skims skims
underwears incredible it'll plump up your package so nicely i don't wear any of that
any of that fruity shit ron is wearing what was left of the fabric for the couch
today they had extra yards of it if they yeah i need someone to green screen me fully into the
couch to just make me disappear or just have me like floating like a cheshire cat's head
it's so close the color the color is so
close to the couch i didn't even think about that oh nice i might just start being a full
full sweatsuit man yeah it's so nice to be wearing sweatsuits laughs but we're both wearing
white waffles underneath look at us yeah unique little okay cool get a couple waffles waffle
i got a nice waffle i got a waffle like button down shirt really nice but i think it's a little
too small i love this bush jersey you're wearing is that what the guys wear when they're gaming
yeah this is well we we switch it up every major so they'll have new jerseys for oh
you get them new jerseys for every major yeah that's well because they're cutting them up into
cards like that drake exactly game money game games jerseys game game jerseys yeah i figured
i would show my show my support we got a pretty big week this week so did you guys get offered
to bump up a league uh we've been offered a couple times to go up to the pros but we're not what why
wouldn't you do that well we've been offered to buy out the spot for millions of dollars it's not
really a legit offer mook filled me in on everything i mean i got all the updates on bush
and he told me everything because i said to him i was like why do you get upset when people joke
that bush isn't like a serious thing yeah yeah and he told me his answer and it made a lot of
what was his answer well because people get mad at him for like not doing his job and stuff um and and therefore
it has real professional ramifications for him when people don't take what he's doing now more
seriously makes sense fair response is he getting shit on for not doing his job i think i think there
was when he left anus and um put all of his eggs in the bush basket in in the bush in the bush like
a parent on easter um yes god i'm on fire today i love it what are we doing guys here i'm serious
i love what's happening here seeing them all um i think there was a little bit of uh sort of
i don't know that i don't know if that went over that well oh you know yeah wasn't this talked
about yeah yeah okay yeah yeah so fair enough now does he get tons of pussy in chicago or just on
the road i think it's mostly the road oh he's a road dog yeah he doesn't like a way he doesn't
like to fuck when the same the same city that he lives in yeah he doesn't like to he doesn't like
to mess up his bed unless maids are coming yeah tomorrow exactly unless he's at the four seasons
yeah so what was his move when he's meeting girls at the four seasons bar and then being like so my
hotel is actually down the street well that's like being the guy that like you're taking a photo in
front of someone else's lamborghini yeah so why are you so why are you just here at this bar
so in the in his defense the four seasons and the four seasons bar were
a hundred yards from the club oh okay and then his hotel i gave him the room that the club had
booked me which i wouldn't have booked the four seasons yeah had i known how nice of a hotel
they had booked me i would have taken the one room they booked me and i would have made mook
go sleep on a barge or something yeah where did he in the river i was pretty surprised when i saw
that room and he was like francis gave me i was like that's a pretty nice room yeah he he showed
it to me and i was like god damn it i didn't need to do this at all like that was a perfect
the problem is i i've been in the habit where like i've had comedy clubs book my room where
you know it's a fucking nightmare oh there's like bugs and shit yeah exactly and i'm like
if i'm gonna be here for three nights i don't want to do that i'm 37 years old i don't want
to sleep among blood stains and fecal matter and like yeah cobwebbed lamps and stuff like that some
gross shower yeah get off with a film on right right exactly so um i've just kind of automatically
assumed at this point that clubs are gonna fuck me with some you know boarding house and maybe i
sound like an asshole but whatever that is what it is and uh so i give normally i'll give brandon
or whoever yeah the the room that they bloodstained room yeah bloodstained bug room yeah but uh a lot
of it's not bad at all yeah in fact the only time it's bad really like in dc two two years ago
they booked me a room and then they booked my opener room and they booked me at a decent hotel
and they booked brandon at a motel flop house yeah yeah that's never good what do you do harry
when you're on those same situations you just stay where they put you yeah i don't care about
the hotel really but i also will say like i've had hotels where i've been like this is
like what the fuck is going on yeah like one of those ones where you open it up and you're outside
you open up the door to the just outdoors again for what it's worth i did that for i did that
for five years yeah i just accepted wherever they were gonna put me yeah and now i'm you don't have
to apologize for being you just love who you love oh i know yeah i mean i was saying we were talking
about a little bit on the bush podcast and i was saying that like i upgrade my flight every time
yeah i don't do the hotel i don't care about we went to this movie theater and in fact i was
the movie theater was directly across from the improv where you performed yeah he told me that
and dave wow you guys had a real debrief i talked to him for like six hours a day
jesus christ so i then i shouldn't talk about him because you know it all i want to hear it yeah it's
still entertaining i'm trying to think i mean what i was gonna say he said he took you by you
took you by where we said that's exactly what i was gonna say that was bad that hotel was
terrible it was so bad
that you guys went and sight saw at it it looked like a hotel that was about to be demolished it's
right off the highway like the only thing left was for the mayor to come in with one of those
tea bars and push it down watch everyone watch it crumble on itself it's literally like you're
overlooking an overpass next to you is an underpass i guess and no not an underpass a
a living quarters for homeless people really strung out homeless yeah bad very homeless
people
like you have to walk down like under the overpass and it's it's a lot it's a good stretch yeah and
pitch black their dogs are not on leashes no that's the type of homeless we're talking about

their dogs hunt for them yeah hunt human i think they bring dinner in and it's varmints 100 really
that's not a bad way to live the guy out front has fat fucking dogs if those dogs are fat and like
gross like dude you live outside walk your dog yeah he's giving all his food to the dogs there's
really no shortage of rats that you can that they can eat i guess you've seen that video of that dog
that shakes rats and kills them roan's obsessed with that guy that is really yeah i love those
guys i they haven't been posting as much though i don't know if they got they probably got shadow
banned i remember you used to show me that you'd be like check out this account yeah
war dogs yeah yeah i'm not into that shit at all yeah yeah i've had to leave that shit behind i i
gloss over any darkness that's on my feed now i don't feed into any darkness they try fully bricked
are you yeah i don't go on the apps anymore you stay bricked i stay bricked i can't believe you
you nuked your you nuked your twitter is an insane move you guys didn't believe me i told you that i
had i saw it i thought that it was like gonna come back though i thought like after a couple i thought
you're gonna have like
seller's remorse or something and just yeah what if like i'm a man of action what if uh musk is like
i'm getting like i don't want to be in like i think that it that might happen like he might
give up twitter so if they if he brings it back or they like say like uh what's his name dorsey
jack dorsey so that guy's name what if he comes back and he's like we're going back to the og
twitter what did i ever need twitter for you're gonna go back to zero followers i don't care
does that not destroy you mentally no no i mean
i don't know fundamentally like i had 240 000 twitter followers yeah that's like fort lauderdale
yeah it's a lot of people but i have fucking almost 500 000 on instagram and almost 500 000
on tiktok you got to assume that a lot of those people don't have like a lot of people they're
one app people i go on instagram i go on tiktok fine twitter fine whatever i i can't remember a
single person that has ever come to a show of mine and been like dude i saw you were coming to houston
on twitter
i don't know i don't know
you never will again no yeah you're like fuck fort lauderdale i've got miami over here yeah
exactly i've got miami miami twitter is where all all the shit lived oh yeah it was all there it's
bad and there was no redeeming quality to it for me at all anymore fundamentally if i opened the app
it would just be a list of notifications at the top of which were seven comments about me from a
bunch of people who were like oh my god i'm like what the hell is this viva la stool thing or whatever
like francis is a faggot i had no idea like wow kill yourself well i apologized for sending those
okay i don't know why you're still mad at me about it i'll let it go you're wearing green my favorite
color but it just got to a point where like oh my god you know yeah it's like opening your windows
to start your day and just seeing war outside yeah and then being like okay yeah twitter's
definitely bad it's not not a good place try to be off of it as much as possible
i was on the games heavy this weekend what games video games oh like like the like i think i played
on saturday i played video games for an amount of time that i haven't since i was probably in
like middle school or high school give us a number and be honest about it 12 15 i think it was like
11 to 2 a.m 11 a.m to 2 a.m that's 15 15 hours and i had to get off because my back was in so much pain
from sitting in the seat that i was like i just can't i can't play anymore it's over just you got
to engage your core at that point you need to get your posture right pull those i have a stretch for
you honestly just a quick four minute i hit the gym the next day and i just went to town on the
back yeah everything you gotta strengthen the lumbar muscles so sure that's the right way to
make a hurt back better definitely i'm gonna go lift my way out of this pain i had to get i had
literally an hour straight at every weight because i say it's just this right side of my back is just
it hurts so much yeah i'm telling you again i'd just be careful like lifting your way out of
muscle pain is probably a way to oh no i know the exact i haven't really exacerbate that i haven't
got this level of back pain since this is how i know i haven't played video games like this in a
while since i was in i remember i used to be in like middle school and high school and i used to
stretch my back because it would hurt so bad from leaning forward i'm leaning forward what is it just
one side where is it can you point to where it is right under my like shoulder blade can i ask a
question yeah when you would disappear for 15 hours at a time did your parents not think like
boy maybe we should you know should get him for a meal well that would only happen on like special
occasions you know snow day or something like that yeah yeah yeah cool yeah pretty much what
happened was i woke up early as shit on saturday
i was like it's got to be a productive day like 10 no probably like eight i was like i gotta get i
gotta get a lot of stuff like i got a lot of shit to do today gotta get it done um decided to go
through with an experiment based on roan's what he said last week i took it i took a vivance
little 20 milligram when on saturday for what to get all my stuff done and then i finished it all
in maybe 15 minutes and then i played counter-strike for 15 hours straight
oh you were dialed on counter-strike what it was like one of the i was like i don't even think that
vivance really did anything yeah right you did your shit in 15 minutes that's what vivance does
it's pretty insane but i don't think it's for me not really my thing no it's not it's not for
anybody honestly it should not be prescribed no definitely not the fact that people are on it
every day every day it's bad how do you get anything done you get everything done and then
it's like what do you have to do and then you play counter-strike for 15 hours
you just like create anxiety for yourself but at least you had a thing an outlet for all of your
energy oh it was great i mean you know what unbelievable day i don't like vivance i don't
like the side effects of it oh neither do i what are your side effects the ones i've experienced
the worst one was vaginal dryness oh yeah your pussy gets fucking no hair just everyone
yeah everyone i've ever met who was on it i'll tell you what yeah took a long time to get in
there
it's like trying to cut down an old oak tree yeah it's like scraping for the last bit of peanut
butter in the jar yeah i don't really think what i took was even enough to feel the full
experience because i didn't have a loss of appetite at all i was housing food
well it's because you were fried as hell you were probably like
so so high on top of it you had like a junior speedball i was just like a bunch of weed and
vivance
no i didn't smoke any weed i wasn't mixing drugs junior speedball um harry
we brought i brought up that i asked this question about your family and and to dovetail on that
what an unbelievably wonderful moment it was at the airport to meet your mother and your sister
at the airport yeah definitely and and i think you you met
them without him yeah she stopped me well i i saw i found rome pretty quick i was right behind them
okay what were you getting held up for at tsa i never even asked you that
they they found my bop it extreme in my bag they were really i saw you like you had like your own
lane they like were holding you to the side yeah they said that why would you have a bop it and a
skip it yeah no it doesn't doesn't add up they said that didn't make a lick of sense for you to
be fine back with that i didn't get held up i said i was looking at you
what are you talking i was watching you being held up like like by agents yeah they went through my
bag before you they before they before you scanned your id like when you were showing your boarding
pass and your id you were oh i gotta i have a driver's license i got a new driver's license
and it's not real id and i've never had it checked for before no one's ever i mean because i have
clear and pre-check and like in new york it's so easy and like with clear it's so easy and this is
the first time i've flown out of a small airport
where they actually check that shit so they made me fill out a form yeah it was brutal i forgot
about that until now yeah out of my mind yeah i caught it um i got eyes everywhere you're
obfuscating he's obfuscating right now you're obfuscating uh we met your mom your mom stopped
me at the airport yeah yeah and she said i forget if she said roan or adam she was definitely said
roan she was so nice adam she said francis to me yeah because that's your name sure
- She knew it.
she wasn't like oh you're harry's friend what would you call you alice
i just i think maybe like maybe like oh hi hi you know she she just knew me yeah i'm not surprised
and i do you remember what i said do you remember what i said no i i said oh my god it's so nice to
meet you and the three of you were together and i said to your mom and your sister i said i almost
feel the need to apologize because harry and i have this wonderful sort of brotherly rivalry
frequently and i'm sure if you listen to the podcast it might come off as though
we're quite combative but the truth is we're quite fond of each other i said all of that
i do remember that i do recall yeah i i and they were like we don't listen to the podcast
i was like i didn't need to say any of that i met them first when it was just me and then you
popped up and i kind of i have the instinct to be like
talking to you and then you popped up and i kind of i have the instinct to be like talking to you
and like leading a conversation and i was like let me shut the fuck up because like this is your
your mom and your sister at the airport so i kind of just let you guys have have the conversation
totally i i had the same instinct i was like i'll let you three catch up i'm gonna let them catch
up because i knew that you were just crossing paths with them they landed and we were taking
off and so that you only had a moment as a family but i wanted to pepper them i would just love to
like i would have just loved to stop over at the buffalo wild wings with them and just like sit down
for a pint and just oh yeah totally dig in about your past yeah i wanted to stay in florida with
them yeah yeah i thought about sticking around so we could really get into you know my mom kept on
being like no one's staying yeah for the weekend yeah and i was like no francis texted me on the
side and he was like i just met francis or i just met harry's mom and sister and they were lovely
yeah they were lovely
i think that's so nice they were really really lovely they're lovely how nice is that so nice
guys how nice is it to hear that that they're lovely it just does raise the question to my eye
what happened to you that's so nice god that's yeah why aren't you lovely i don't know i'm a
nasty boy yeah you are i think it's just being raised raised among she wolves raised among women
raised raised amongst geos
yeah
girl bosses i was born into a family of girl bosses
they were such warm people i can't speak highly enough of them and if it sounds as if i'm being
disingenuous i promise i'm not it doesn't it sounds lovely it sounds like they are lovely
i immediately could picture them knitting yeah sharing a laugh sharing an unironic laugh and i
well that's the thing they're not irony poisoned no no no like you guys talk to them for like maybe
15 seconds
that's all i needed to know i could feel the warmth he's got cia in his blood he can read
people francis was like francis was not like roan talked to them for a while and then francis was
like he like pulled the headphone out for like a second he's like oh hey how's it going i gotta
run though i gotta go that's not true jesus that's not true at all with this
i really give me a minute give me a minute talking to guys
hang on hang on my favorite part of the song is almost over i'm finishing a podcast yeah
uh it's huberman you know huberman he just changed in nikes by frank ocean
um it was uh it was really a treat it really kind of colored everything i know about you
totally it does change everything when you meet people's parents can i meet your dad soon
totally where that's set up i would like that i need the full picture now yeah i'm sure that
he's fucking lovely i bet he's got a i bet he's uh like got a goofy sense of humor super goofy
i can't wait my
dad is really goofy i know quirky such a goof we need to close the triangle because both of you
guys have met or i guess you have met my mom i've met your family yeah i've now met your family
you guys will never meet my family we'll find them unless we're down in boca grand
yeah if we're down in grant they're not really going there the house the house is not livable
well it will be soon it will be and we'll be back in boca grand we'll be back if i know us
you boys here for talk
you boys here for talk
you boys here for the talk tell that tell that please what was that was that that was the last
night yeah yeah it was like right after we just finished recording the final podcast so we were
like done with content for the weekend and we like went to a good dinner great dinner beautiful
dinner what was that place called the temptation the temptation the temp fantastic old spot though
and as soon as you open up the door you're in the middle of the fucking room opens right to the
back not even to a booth it looked like a decorative door that you're not supposed to
enter in from but yeah we went in there and then there was like a table of fairly younger people
um combination there were some older people and some young people and they were at the
table right as soon as you open the door so you see them right away they saw us right away yeah
but i guess so so tucker carlson has a place down there um someone someone recognized us came up to
francis and we were like oh my god we're in the middle of the fucking room and we're like oh my god
when we were eating and he was like what'd he say he was like you here for talk he was like big fan
of you guys yeah uh i'll be seeing you guys on tucker soon i'll be seeing no that was what he
led with that's what he led with and i went like i'm excuse me sorry what was that yeah i was like
i'm sorry and it's almost like i was only half playing dumb because one i do know that tucker
carlson is down there so i understood that but i was i was so baffled the second he said tucker i
was like tucker carlson is down there so i understood that but i was i was so baffled
but i i still didn't know what he meant i didn't know why he would have assumed he his assumption
was that the six of us were all in boca grand to appear on tucker carlson's show interview him
maybe i think he was appear on his show because then he was like uh when he was leaving he was
like oh i can't wait for the interview yeah because we told him we weren't we told him we
weren't gonna being on tucker's show and he was like uh yeah right yeah i'll see you on the he
thought we were being like we'd sign an nda or something and that we were being coy yeah which
is so funny like it was such a harmless uh interaction like the guy genuinely thought
that we were going on tucker carlson's show which is hilarious because it's like if you look at the
last guests on his podcast it's like netanyahu yeah yeah mike huckabee like the guys from son
of a boy dad at barstool yeah guys let's take a break from talking about the
war in the middle east some people think podcasting has to be serious why
here now i have three guests who don't talk about anything
it really was just such a funny interaction yeah he dumbed us but that food was so good
yeah we brought our trout um i guess this will probably be in one of the videos we post but
we brought our trout that we caught and uh what was so cool they had told us like you can bring
this restaurant they'll cook it for you so i just walked in with a bow like a sweating wet
melting ice bag of fish flesh yeah and i walked in and i was like and the woman was like yep i'll
bring that right to your server and 20 minutes later it had been pan fried and came out as it
looked like a big bag of dog shit yeah see it was like it was phenomenal that was delicious but the
old waitress who's worked there oh yeah for 30 50 years and
obviously i've seen a lot of good fishermen come through the doors and drop off probably full
tarpon was like kind of giggling at it she was she was destroying us she was howling laughing
while giving us the food you know like save some room because it was so little fish it wasn't even
that it was a completely fine amount of fish to have as like an appetizer for two people for six
people correct what was uh they were fried nuggets yeah but it was delicious though it was delicious
they had grouper finger on the grouper fingers on the menu as well which were about the same thing
and ours was so much better than we ordered the grouper fingers and we liked our trout fingers
better um fresh fresher she was politicized though remember when i said something what did i say
about obama don't even know her oh yeah you said something about obama and she immediately was like
it was like a dish on the on the on the menu had something that i turned into an obama joke yeah
she didn't like that like a rock maybe it was like a a rock like rockfish or something like that
and you were like rockfish yeah rockfish rockfish obama something like that what was it there i
wonder what that would have been not the american rice snapper not the grouper i did have the grouper
almondine which was fucking yeah the food was great we had a we had a great time and it was
cool for me to show you guys this place that is very special to me and um boca grande yandel texted
me after the video came out yesterday and he was like how great is boca grand he's got property down
there he goes there yeah but dude by the way how great is boca yeah we actually just got a place
down there as well um ironically it reminded me of a story that uh anthony rizzo had told me oh yeah
where um i guess those two have dropping houses right next to each other in florida not another
part of florida they must be on more like the palm beach side uh like the the
east coast east coast but he told me that yandel like they were on opposite sides of a canal
and one day like he looked up because he heard uh like uh rizzo heard a boat motor
just like ripping like and he looked over and yandel was in his boat but it hadn't lowered
into the water yet and he had started the motor just above board that's insane and and
rizzo yelled across he was like dude you don't turn it on until you're in the water
and yans goes i've never been in a boat before he had bought a boat having never been
oh my god he goes i have no idea what i'm doing i mean it's honestly like
that's got to be
like that's got to be so
like that's got to be so
many people that have boats that just get in one day i know and can we look up yandel's career
earnings i'd like to pocket watch my brother 60 mil is it yeah i looked it up already you did
yeah day i met him first thing i looked up approximately 64.8 to golly he hands i mean
he was in the let me hold 20 years wasn't he he was oh and now let's pocket watch whitney can we
damn i really got his whole wikipedia memorized that was kind of impressive
yeah you've been pocket watching 27 and now let's do this can we do this
we gonna be rich forever two to three yeah but he's
damn what are you doing celebrity boxing
what the fuck
i understand the grind now
oh my god
he's trying to get out the mud still he signed a two-year one million dollar contract that that's
like a barstool deal yandel has made 25 times more yeah playing hockey yeah what i mean yandel was in
the league though like like biz was uh he was in and out of the league wasn't he yeah he swung up
and down yeah um but also nhl players like don't make a lot of money like like i mean obviously
they make a lot of money but in comparison you just said yandel made 75
million dollars what do you mean that's like i mean that's like a like he's made a ton of money
for the nhl yeah like probably up there in top salaries he could just have fun like that's
baseball player money he's neighbors with rizzo yeah that's so nice oh my god i didn't realize
they were on that million dollars worth of game contract yeah you got to hope that he broke off
some for biz broke off a little slice and for uh for fish i think biz is doing just fine post hockey
career no i think
we got to start it up at biz is broke start that rumor get that get that going around
biz actually hit me up asking for money recently he's like bro let me just hold a rack
this is taking girls to the four seasons lobby acting like he's staying there
i know that he's couldn't be couldn't be more successful couldn't be wealthier great guy
you got to couch your nasty comments with something really nice yeah we're just busting
jobs he's obviously rich as fuck yeah i mean his house in arizona mansion did you see what
mincy did to the walls of that house though that it's still like that and he put his wet
bathing suit and whatever else on the ledge here and uh completely fucked my portolo paint on the
walls in my spare room look at this piss me off i can't get a fresh coating as someone who knows
how difficult it is to get a fresh coating i can't get a fresh coating i can't get a fresh coating
someone with a proper uh of the wine wash hand behind the brush i forgot we talked about that
on here i didn't know where you where you would have seen it francis i don't know if you read
about in the newspaper or what that all came out before i uh went full amish is that in the times
who's in the wall street yeah are you are do you find yourself doing other things with your time
as far as consuming news or media

so you can focus on the game all right now back to the episode i have to admit that what i've
learned is that the phone addiction is still there to a degree
and all i'm doing now is like wasting time looking at old photos oh yeah or like
refreshing my email constantly you're on a flight without wi-fi yeah pretty much and so i'm hopeful
that i will at some point realize just how uh devoid of of stimulus that is and my my will
actually naturally start to
drift away because none of what's on my phone is is interesting to me anymore yeah yeah you might
have to double down and go with black and white as well you're just addicted to the colors i mean
my screen time has been way down which is good but i've been doing that too though i'll like i'll be
bricked and i'll like just i'm opening up the photos app every time really yeah there's nothing
else to do but i also leave chess unbricked so there's always something to do good and chess you
feel productive while you're playing
the magnus carlson untold is very good you should watch that untold was that new there's new untolds
coming out i watched the uh lamar odom one and i watched the magnus carlson one oh definitely check
i didn't know magnus they put out a magnus it's about when he played against hans nieman do you
remember this story of course and they were playing at this tournament in miami and hans nieman won
and uh magnus thought that he was making hans nieman he thought he was making moves based on
like a computer indicating to him something like that and he was like oh my god i'm gonna play this
and then he was like oh my god i'm gonna play this and then he was like oh my god i'm gonna play this
somehow what to do and then the rumor came out that hans nieman was using anal beads yeah the
buzzer that were somehow like yeah and now anytime hans nieman does an interview everyone like the
anal beads thing follows him around yeah yeah everywhere and it's just because carlson couldn't
take a loss well come on no carlson's lost yeah but his ego is out of control hans nieman had like
a flagrant record of
cheating all the time oh really yeah in in online chess he cheated a ton uh so there i don't know
it's worth watching but like wasn't there a woman in chess who was accused of cheating with her big
fake titties there's like a woman with big fake titties that was like accused of i don't know if
she had anal beads in her tits or something like that that were buzzing but there were some famous
fake breasts in the chess world hmm and a
rudolph falsely accused was that a lip balm how how do they how do buzzes oh there's a laundry
list of women who have cheated with fake titties wow uh i think they would use the buzzes as sort
of like a uh like a morse code somebody could be four using a computer program and then indicating
presumably you know through the buzz through buzz i don't know like move your knight to d6
or whatever how did it come out that he had had anal beads that were buzzing to help him cheat
he claims that that wasn't true magnus could feel the vibrations from across the table and nothing
nothing was ever proven on that front so did magnus come up with the idea that he had he didn't
come up with the anal okay he thought that would be crazy he thought that hans had access to a
computer program that was running like a million combinations of outcomes with each move yeah
where you know that you can't beat that i guess no magnus didn't magnus say that he can't beat the
like highest rated computer like it's impossible i'm not sure have you guys watched the new euphoria
not yet i don't watch that shit i'm already tired of it really i feel like the show is just like
now it's just like and then we he got a fucking gun and then they fucked
and she was fucking trans and they had to keep it a secret it's just like
They're just throwing shit at the wall of just like and they're fucking gambling and it's so fucking a pimp is there.
It's just all this over the top.
Like I saw some girl complaining on Twitter today about that, like some OnlyFans girl complaining that Sidney Sweeney's or who's the guy that wrote it?
Yeah, Sam Levinson's like depiction of OnlyFans is inaccurate because OnlyFans actually flags people that are like age baiting or whatever they call it because she dressed up like a baby or something for the OnlyFans.
Yeah, this isn't this isn't true to OnlyFans.
It's like you should reconsider everything in your life as you're sending out that tweet.
This actually is.
Why do I like ask yourself, why do I know the terms of service for OnlyFans?
Why is that something that I have memory?
And why is it something that I'm publicly angry that the writer of the show doesn't know?
Like that's crazy.
That is super embarrassing to or but it's another OnlyFans creator to a woman that that's on there.
I guess like this plot actually doesn't make sense.
I should know.
I actually tried this.
Yeah, I got flags.
This makes sense.
You're actually not allowed to dress up like a dog with big tits.
That's not allowed.
So Sam Levinson should try to do some fucking research.
Yeah, it took me out.
The show, not the part of the show where like Zendaya is like burying a body.
But when the terms and conditions of OnlyFans weren't met to the letter of the law.
It's it's so insane.
The cast of the show that they have, like the fact that the type of shit that they have Zendaya doing.
Yeah.
Zendaya is just like killing people and serving drugs.
Did you guys see the drama?
That movie with Zendaya?
No, I didn't watch that Zendaya movie yet.
I saw it in the I just saw that in theaters.
It was crazy.
It's pretty dark.
You saw it?
Yeah.
What was going on in it?
Well, I don't want to spoil it.
Man, fuck this movie, bro.
Spoil this shit.
No, no, no.
I'll watch it if it's good.
What's it's Rotten Tomatoes?
It's good.
Like, I enjoyed it.
It's very, like, tense.
It's pretty dark, though.
Oh, I don't think I'll see this.
77 and 78.
That's just not high enough for me to bother.
7.5 out of 10 on IMDb.
You don't really get much higher.
That's your litmus test?
What's your measuring stick?
RT.
For this kind of movie, that's a very good rating.
I believe that.
Did you see?
You haven't seen Project Hail Mary?
No.
It was really fun.
It was fun?
Really fun.
Oh, my God.
So I bought tickets for both MOOC and for me,
and they were $33 each.
Yeah.
And I thought, what in the absolute fuck?
How could it be that?
Movie tickets are $33?
Even against the last time I went to the movies in New York,
that seems exorbitant.
You can get an hourly motel for less than that.
I mean, Harry can rent a new apartment for less.
So we brought the tickets forward,
and I said to the woman checking them,
I said, is this normal?
And she goes, no, these are the VIP tickets.
And I said, did I have an option to not buy the VIP?
And she said, no.
All of the tickets for this particular 11.50 a.m. showing
are VIP.
And I said, well, that sounds insane.
To what are we entitled?
And she said, you will have free, unlimited popcorn and soda
the entire movie.
Okay, that's not bad.
We had a separate entrance.
Well, it couldn't have been that separate if everyone's. Separate from who?
Sounds like it was just the main entrance.
The people who were going to all the other theaters
couldn't come into this lounge.
But they wouldn't be going into that theater regardless.
So they didn't buy tickets.
Well, he's saying there's a lounge.
She's saying there's a lounge.
She's saying there's a bonus lounge.
We had a lounge.
Oh, I see.
And then we had our own fountain soda machine
and then our own popcorn.
Did the soda taste a little watered down?
No, no, no, no.
It was good.
And I said to Mook, we got up there and he was like,
I'm going to come out for seconds and thirds
at the intermission.
I was like, I don't think they're. I think this movie's going to run right through.
If I were you, I would take two bags now.
And he's like, I don't think so.
The intermission.
Yeah.
And we sat down and he didn't finish his popcorn
or his soda.
That popcorn's kind of a big one to have three servings of.
That's so much.
You might as well just have a stick of butter
like a Hershey's bar.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So he goes, and I'm doing this
and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
And then he just held it under the automatic butter dispenser
until the bag was wet.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
That doesn't need. That shit's not even that good.
The extra butter?
Yeah.
It's like such placebo.
Like, you think that's what's going to taste good,
but what you're looking for is salt.
I don't know about that.
That's what you're looking for.
I've had the butter before.
It is really good.
When it's wet, it's a little bit much, though.
When your fingers are wet,
it's also just kind of tasteless.
Butter?
I think it tastes like good. Fountain butter?
Just good fat.
Fountain soda butter.
It is good to get some fat,
but it's just like the fact that they make you
get the upgrade for two things
that you're not going to get,
seconds on, like unlimited.
We did the math.
We were coming out,
and Mook was like,
I think we got value.
I was like, not at all.
Not at all.
We would have needed to have. We would have needed to have had
multiple sodas and multiple popcorns each
to make back what the difference was in the ticket.
Well, I think on average,
it's probably, what, $25 a ticket?
No.
I bet it's like, yeah, $15 a ticket.
Maybe $18.
Where?
Well, that's the problem with. What, are you guys going to drive-in theaters somewhere?
Movie theaters now are just like either. Like, you have a sit-down seat.
$23.
In New York City.
But that's because you have like a reclining seat
where they serve you dinner.
I mean, we were. No.
Harry, we were at a mall in Houston.
I would think movie ticket prices. Yeah, there you go.
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
No, but you could go to the AMC or the Regal
in the middle of the city and get one for like $14.
I'll do it right now.
I'm going to find this.
Right now.
I did it, bro.
I went and I fell asleep during Hamnet for $14.
So you guys don't go to real movie theaters?
Like, you go to like. What is this?
There's some like. There's some weird chain in Dumbo?
No, no, no.
I'm like you, Harry.
It's a movie exclusive.
I want to. Amex movies?
The Centurion Movie Lounge.
Yeah.
I like the Nighthawk.
I like iPix.
I like Alamo.
But you're not going to like a. Yeah, exactly.
So you're not going to like a. I'm not going to like a Regal or. I go to Regal.
No, I just told you about the Regals that are $14 if I'm going to. But the Regals aren't for. There's nowhere. I don't think there's anywhere in New York City you're going to the movies for $14.
Here's the Regal.
I went to Hamnet for $14.
What?
No.
The one that's in like Times Square or whatever.
The one that's in the middle of the fucking city for tourists.
I got you, Harry.
I got your number right now.
What are we getting on that price there, Sean?
Wow, Sean's moving way more quickly than I am.
No, he's in the Nighthawk.
He's in the Alamo Draft House.
Oh, this is $20.49.
Nine bucks.
At Alamo.
Yeah.
Here's Regal for tonight for a movie no one will ever see.
And it's $23 with the fee.
Adam?
I mean, Alamo Draft House is on the screen right now for $9.
What are you talking about?
That can't. Alamo Draft House is expensive, though.
It says right there $9.
Because they get you on the snacks and the drinks there.
Right.
Well, at Alamo they give you like. Because at Alamo you got someone over in a fucking. Blue moon.
Yeah, and you can have a Cobb salad in your seat.
Yeah, yeah.
And they bring it to you.
No, I've been.
I've been to Alamo.
There's always a Cobb salad.
They're shoveling Cobb salads.
You can actually bring trout to Alamo Draft House and they'll fry it up for you.
It's good, too.
Alamo Draft House is cool.
And they won't make fun of how little you have.
They're very respectful at Alamo Draft House.
You guys just said, you guys don't know how much the movies cost.
We're out of touch.
It's not a quarter of film anymore.
See, my dad, we had to walk uphill both ways to the movie theater.
You should just go with a quarter.
It's any movie.
You can put your mouth under the butter.
Do you want to tell us about what you're going through with your house situation right now?
Oh, I mean, there's not really much to tell.
You said you're going to be. You said you've been blacklisted.
I think I've been blacklisted from Zillow.
From brokers.
From Zillow.
From Zillow.
Word has gotten around.
That Harry is not a serious rental prospect.
Yeah, not a legit.
They'll rent to anyone in New York.
Not me.
You don't have to even speak American in New York.
They'll rent to you.
I got pretty close to signing a lease on a place, and then I had to pull the pull out of it.
And yeah, since I've tried looking again, they just don't reply to my emails.
Are you locked on Astoria?
No, I'm looking everywhere.
I'm coming to Dumbo, brother.
Harry can't find a. No, I was looking at Brooklyn.
I'm not moving to Dumbo, though.
He can't find an apartment to rent in the five boroughs.
Yeah, that's the issue.
Harry can't find a place to live in all five boroughs of New York.
I might have to move to Staten Island.
Dude, that's one of the five boroughs.
I know.
That's the fifth that I haven't looked at.
Get a yard.
Yeah.
You're just mowing your lawn in the morning.
That's property.
Across from Yandel.
Yeah, wouldn't be bad.
Yeah, that'd be so sick.
I refuse to believe that you can't find a place, though.
There has to be a place probably in the same building that you're looking.
No, I've looked everywhere.
We're still recording at 1.30.
I'm trying to figure out. Which boat to take.
Just a reminder, guys, it takes me an hour and 45 minutes to get in, so if we're not
on time, I need to know.
Take the ferry from Connecticut.
Yeah.
$110 both ways.
Yeah, that's fucking brutal.
You should have another place where you can stay, though.
Do you need a guarantor?
Maybe we can have Daddy Dave do it?
No, no, I'm good.
Dave used to be Karabas' guarantor.
I remember that.
That's not in the book, is it?
No.
Should be.
Should be.
It's lore right there.
Yeah, is there still time?
Let's get on the horn with Dave.
I think that everything, the door is closed on content for the book.
Really?
Dave, we fucked up.
We forgot the Karabas.
Apartment situation.
Guarantor.
That was a classic.
That's definitely going to be in the movie.
You should just call the editor straight.
Don't even go to Dave.
Or like have a note at the beginning of the book.
Like, sorry, a lot of what you-
To Karabas.
To Jared.
Epilogue.
Yeah, epilogue.
Thank you, Jared.
Like at the end of Shoe Dog when Phil Knight's like,
and yeah, we did have some issues in sweatshops,
but like it wasn't that big of a deal.
Yeah.
We saved it for the last page of the book
and tried to completely gloss over it.
It's a power move.
Yeah.
Me and Bowerman were fucking running.
But man, the Nike running shoe technology is out of control.
Look at the bottom of this shoe.
It's like a fucking U.
It is.
There's a parabola on this.
Are you running in those?
You don't even have to fucking run.
It just like launches you forward.
Yeah, they're like sketchers.
It just leans you forward.
Are those even Nike?
Come on, bro.
Show some fucking respect.
I don't see a single Nike logo on them.
Don't say that.
I got bootlegged.
Are Volomeros Nike?
Volomeros.
They're their top notch running shoe.
Oh, there we go.
I see them.
I see it on the front.
A light swoosh.
Yeah, there it is on the toe right there.
I don't want to be wearing sneakers in front of you, Francis,
but these are functional.
What's wrong with sneakers?
I know that you gave that shit up a long time ago.
Well.
Nice pair of boots.
No, that's not true.
I still wear sneakers.
Do you?
Yeah.
You've seen me wear sneakers recently.
I saw you wearing zip up boots to the gym.
I mean, you never know when you're going to have to ruck.
Stilettos.
He's wearing full rucking stilettos to the gym.
All right.
Fuck yes.
All right.
All right.
I was tired of myself.
Happy to be talking to you boys.
It's so nice to get in here today and listen to you boys, Yak.
You ever just get fucking tired of yourself?
Well.
I'm sure you're in a little bit of an annoying position right now
where you're facilitating all of this stuff with the.
With the house, the Vegas people.
No, that's not.
That's that has to be.
That's been over.
Yeah, I guess you're right.
I'm totally kidding.
No, I'm saying like I'm that's me dating this episode.
Oh, I think we've dated it a couple of times.
Yeah, I figured.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're unbricked by now.
You gave up being bricked on your phone and you're back on Twitter on Twitter.
Starting starting fresh.
Yeah.
And you're tweeting like people are concerned with how much you're tweeting.
Follow me at Francis new because he's trying to get his followers back up.
What have I done?
I've made a grave mistake.
Twitter actually blocked my whole account.
There is an easy way to do that.
It's just like retweet the Elon Musk stories about reverse racism in South Africa.
And you'll be you'll have a billion followers in no time.
The algorithm will be pumping you.
I don't miss Twitter at all.
I do miss scrolling on Instagram.
I get the itch for that sometimes it's mindless.
It's unintentional.
You ever had a couple of ghost scrolls?
I've done it before.
I've left the muscle.
I've cracked book and tried to.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Swipe up on a physical book.
Let me know if you need to scroll at all.
Yeah.
You can honestly always borrow my algorithm.
Yeah.
Appreciate it for like five or ten.
Thank you.
All right.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, the triple.
All right.
Well, clip that.
I'll be in San Francisco May 4th to the 6th, I think, or 5th to the 6th, something like
that.
Tickets at punchup.live/francisellas.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
All right.
We'll be back.
Goodbye.
I'll see you next time.
