The MLB Gambling Podcast, hosted by Roskara and Dylan, previews Memorial Day Monday’s baseball card, which includes 13 of 15 scheduled games. They begin by discussing the Cubs vs. Pirates, noting the Cubs’ recent struggles and suggesting a potential under, though both hosts prefer to avoid betting on the game. The Rays vs. Orioles matchup is a key focus, with the hosts favoring the Rays at -120, citing their strong record and consistent performance despite being underpriced by sportsbooks. They also recommend the over (7.5) due to expected scoring. For the Twins vs. White Sox, they lean toward the under (8.5) given solid pitching from both sides, though one host likes the White Sox as a small home dog. The Cardinals vs. Brewers game sees the Brewers as heavy favorites (-210) behind Corbin Burnes; the hosts are split, with one backing the Brewers on the run line (+105) and the other taking the Cardinals for value. Finally, the Yankees vs. Royals matchup is analyzed, with the hosts suggesting a first-five under and noting the Yankees’ strong record in Kansas City. The episode also includes promotions for the Merp store (25% off with code USA until July 4th) and sportsbook sponsors Bronco and CalShi. Overall, the hosts emphasize value plays and cautious betting, particularly on the Rays and Brewers.
The MLB gambling podcast on the sports game podcast network is brought to you by the SPN app and over freefix and podcast One is locations because the SPN app once again free to download in the app store And welcome everyone to the MLG on podcast here on at the sports game podcast now We're currently Sunday afternoon May 24th around 5 15 PM Eastern time. I'm Roskara. She'll join again by Don't be able to break down in the games here for the Monday card not officially a full slate But I'd say a decent slate because I believe we're missing two games out of the potential 15 So 13 out of 15 not too shabby, but either way once again we're back for another episode Dylan how's it going with you? How's your weekend? Rainy rainy. It's been a lot of rain here in the northeast, but good good to be with you Scott Happy Memorial day to everyone and Yeah, 13 games, but we got some day baseball and I don't know if you it's a class or tradition like none other I don't know if you watch but D1 College of national championship neck tomorrow every Labor Day for men's The only reason why I was somewhat dialed in on a mental cross is because my roommate went to Maryland So in previous years we were actually watching the final and They lost last year or two Somebody who never won before I forgot which college one last year, but the only reason why I was locked in was because my roommate was actually watching some of the games. I don't actually know It was Cornell. Okay. Yeah, I remember that they'd one guy you scored like five goals in like 10 minutes I'm like, I'm going to have one 1310 over the Terps. Yeah, I remember that one guy who was like the best player in the country was terrible for like two Strike games and he scored five goals in the title game and my guard co-op it sounds about right, but I'm not really dialed in Who's playing in the final this year? Yeah, so it's gonna be number two Notre Dame versus number one Princeton So I'm a Jersey guy. I got a route for Princeton, but yeah, I know Notre Dame in every sport. So let's go Princeton Yeah, let's go Princeton. Yeah, why why why the hate? There's just some pretentiousness with the program as mostly for college football But if I'm gonna hate them and football then I might as well hate them on the other sports It's kind of weird if you're like and dying Notre Dame for football But then for basketball you're like all right, let's go Irish like no, it's you kind of have to be consistent like even though I don't have any ill will towards Duke football like personally kind of like that though. I don't like Duke So I'm gonna root against Duke. It's just how it goes. Yeah, no, I get that but It should be fun. I always grew up watching I was like on Labor Day There's really only day baseball going on but always national Championship in lacrosse the women's where it was today Northwestern went back to back and they they beat the Tar Heels. I didn't know Northwestern won the previous year so congratulations Big 10 Continues the dawn of hell they win everything. Yeah, but yeah, either way once again happy early moral day and hopefully you enjoy a lot of day Games on the card to actually do the math quickly. There is only Four games that start after 7 p.m Only four so you have a decent amount of games. It's spaced out very well So you have multiple games within basically like a an hour of each other and you can kind of just rotate depending on how you actually want to go about it So I like the schedule. I know that it would be inconvenient for actual ticket sales But I wish they did this more often. I think it's a very well distributed I'd say schedule for the card before we get into any of the games on the Monday or reminder that we are brought to by Our promo speaking of Memorial Day. We have a great promo for the Merp store It is America's turning 250 in a month and a half or so and in honor of that we're taking a quarter of everything in the Merp store For now until July 4th promo code USA for $25 off store. Sports can buy scom so check out once again the promo code USA check out for a quarter of everything in the Merp store until July 4th moving on into the first game on the card here for Monday First game is the Cubs taking on the pirates damn the Cubs look terrible lately for the actual pitching matchup You're brown taking on the Lodzinski of for the matchup here You have the Cubs who are about -110 pirates are about -104 for the over under I see it in this game So Brown's been pretty good. I know he started in the bullpen. He's been moved back to the rotation He's been fine though e-rave about - Lodzinski e-rable 4. He's been pretty up and down But I will point out recently he's been good. He has allowed for earned in his last three starts combined The problem is he really does not go much length. He has gone a total of 10 innings in each of the last two So not terrible But there is a lot of bullpen involvement in his starts So I'm gonna ask you because the Cubs have been really bad recently and we know that Pittsburgh's offense tends to be Pretty streaky so far this season. I didn't mind the under But I'm not the biggest fan of back in the Cubs based on current form So I feel like the lines are correct in this one But I didn't mind the under but I'm probably gonna stay away from this first game Yeah, I agree I'm pretty to probably stay away. I don't mind the pirates here minus 104. I see Cameron he's undefeated at home only nine runs given up all year at home this year He's also faced this Cubs team as well five and one one-third Scoreless as well and you mentioned it earlier the Cubs are just a mess right now two and eight straight up in their last 10 Their offense It's just gone away. I the bullpen's regressed a little as well I don't trust them on the road and I just think Mullen Dowski He's gonna be able to limit the Cubs bats here in this in this game on the road So they scored four total runs in last four games that The only other team I think is the Mets and that's sort of scored two runs in three games So I don't know. I just don't I don't trust the Cubs here on the road I don't think they'll be they'll be able to compete with the Pittsburgh pirates offensively so I don't mind the pirates here at home. Yeah, I think the price makes sense It's it's more just an under if anything So that's kind of around that but probably stay away from me Moving on to the race taking on the Orioles you have McLean a hand taking on Bradish Now we saw the McLean and face the Orioles about a week or two ago in the trop They won the game by a ton, but he wasn't very good in that outing a four-of-the-pricing Tampa is about minus one 20 of Baltimore's plus 110 for the over under I see seven and a half See I feel like a broken record every time I talk about Tampa Because I look at the price and I just wonder why are they not 150 because they're one of the best teams in the league They have the best record in the American league They split the two games against the Yankees They lost in a walk of home by judge today one of the games got rained out that'll be made up in September But Tampa's been under price for months and they keep winning And Baltimore I don't think's any good now I will point out that Bradish has turned around his season because he has allowed five earned in his past three starts combined And he did shut down Tampa five and a third two runs in his last start against them Did walk three guys though so people are on base But Tampa's too cheap like 120's an insane price We know Tampa even when the offense doesn't get going immediately They just score two runs in the eighth inning every time and find ways to steal games They swept Baltimore in the trop about a week ago I'm gonna take Tampa This should be minus 135 I really don't care 120's way too cheap for Tampa compared to Baltimore Right now with six games under 500 Yeah, I couldn't couldn't agree more minus 120 I was like the over seven and a half I don't mind that either my total came out to 8.4 Yeah, raise or just a wagon It's a broken record until they start regressing and that's the only thing we could say My number's actually made him a minus 140 favorite so I have to take him here But like I said, I do think we'll see some run shame a clan hand He is a much different picture on the road than at home The Orioles did just score four runs off of him in his last star He's actually given up two plus runs on the road and three of his four starts All four of his road starts have gone over this number as well Raise offensively they've scored four plus runs and five straight games So I think both teams are going to be able to score some runs But Teraz are just going to figure out a way to win this game again So we're going to get another cheap price and I also take the over Yeah, I didn't mind that angle I mean seven and a half does feel pretty low when there is a chance that Baltimore's ball pen just completely implodes Unlike we've seen a couple of times this season and as we both mentioned McLean and Han was not good against the same Baltimore team at home It's a better at home than on the road so far this season So plus a length is always an issue from a clan and because of course That a bunch of injuries so far in his career So maybe even your pitches well he might get pulled that around 80 pitches That's a possibility too So you might see a decent amount of ball pen from both sides But Bradish has been good but win out Tampa can small ball their way to four five runs in any given game And that's why they're so far over 500 right now. Yeah Uh, they're just a good team just simply put and I've been mentioned this constantly I understand the sportsbooks have algorithms to help them price all of these teams You might want to tweak something with Tampa Because Tampa was getting for example the last episode that I was on I gave out Tampa like plus 138 against Garrett Cole Cole and pitched in like two years And I mean Martina's was great and it was a one nothing game The aches ball pen ended up blowing it coincidentally Cole was actually really good in that game But the whole argument is like the Yankees were not playing good baseball And Tampa was still getting 138 so reputation wise They got to fix something because Tampa is really good and people haven't acknowledged How good they actually are Moving on to the next game you have the twins taking on the white socks For this one you have Matthews taking on K For the pricing here the twins are about minus one away basically the same price On both sides for the over under I see eight and a half So Zebi has been good this season a one and one one point three eight year array 13 endings as well
So he has gone a decent amount of distance. Now, he faced all of the against the Marlins and the Astros. Two offenses who are not very good, no offense to what happened this weekend. But I do think once again, Zebi is a guy who I've really never been a big fan of, but he's been good so far this season. So, a tip of the cap to him. For Kay, he's been pretty up and down. He has been good recently though. He's all had three earned in his last three starts combined, less than three earned in four straight starts. So, I like the under. And again, the half way too high. I think Zebi's proven that he's actually been reliable so far this season. And we've seen Kay pitch pretty well. But his hotel's offense can be quite streaky. The one that's ugly, it's really ugly. Same with the white socks. A-nafs too high. I'll go for the under. Yeah, I think the total is spot on. I told him at 8.4. It's like right at the number. So, I'm not going to touch the total. But I don't mind the white socks here. Small favorite. My number's actually made him a minus one. 15 favorite. Don't get me wrong. This has looked solid in two starts so far. But personally, I'm just not a fan. I don't think the twins are a good team. They're not good away from Minnesota. 10 and 13 straight up on the road. While for me, the white socks are a bet on team at home. And I know on surface Anthony Kay's numbers don't look the best. But he's been great in the month of May. 211 ERA. Just five runs, giving up in his last four starts. They're four and one in his five home starts as well. I think the short number. I see a little dog here for the white socks at home. Yeah, I don't mind Chicago here. Yeah, I can get behind that too. But once again, I just think it's a situation where I don't know if this total feels right to me because both pictures can go pretty well. So I'll go with the underperson only. But I don't mind your angle there with the side. Moving on to the next game. Cardinals taking on the brewers. For this one, you have Libertor taking on Mizorowski. Milwaukee laying a massive number because Mizorowski is a demon. I think they're about minus 210. Cardinals are about plus 184. Over the over under, I see seven and a half of the run line. Milwaukee minus one and a half is plus 105. The cardinals plus one and a half is minus 120. So for this one, we saw Milwaukee destroyer Bleski over the weekend. We know the team is solid in terms of never striking out and Libertor never strikes anybody out. So for a separate prop, I don't mind Libertor under strikeouts. Mizorowski, those are monster. Yes, the cardinals and the brewers are both really good at baseball. But I'll go Mizorowski minus one and a half. Milwaukee's at home. We know how good they are at home. They've looked good so far. This, at least for the most part against Dodgers, they got killed yesterday. But they were able to win the opener in the series. I do think Mizorowski should shove in this one. Milwaukee did lose two out of three of the Dodgers, but the Dodgers win over a great team. So it is what it is. I think they'll bounce back here. I'll go Dodgers minus one. I'll go with the brewers minus one and a half year plus 105. Not a big Libertor guy, especially against this offense, which can do some damage against lefties. I think Mizorowski shoves, give me the dog. Give me the, sorry, the team Dodgers just beat two out of three over the weekend. Give me the brewers minus one and a half a pulse money. Yeah, I get why I honestly thought it was Mitch McGarvey, if I honestly, but I get nice to see now that it is Matthew Libertor who, yeah, I get why I mean, Mizorowski, he's been, he's been insane. I don't think he's let up a run all month. I mean, I get why he's this big of a favorite. I don't know. I just think there's value here with the cardinals. It's not even a fade on Mizorowski because he's amazing, but I just think St. Louis and offensively, I just think they're going to be able to eventually get to that bullpen. So I don't know. I don't mind Libertor. Obviously, I think Miss McGarvey is better, but I don't mind the cardinals. I just think offensively they find ways to win. And I'm just going to go with the value here. I'll probably take St. Louis if anything. Yeah. I'm going to send the value. I'll take a swing on Mizorowski to just do Mizorowski. Yeah. And he's insane. Is he the best picture in the National League Central in the central maybe skeens? I would say skeens, but I would say he's second. Do you believe that the brave should be the favorite to come out of the NL right now? No. Because I think there's a there's an argument that, you know, they're playing what they've lost one series this season, maybe two. They're well, they lost the series this weekend for the national weekend. So two. So, but I just think the way they're playing, they should be as price as like the Dodgers right now for the. I think it went is really good, but at the same point, besides the one year where they won the title, they're kind of the Washington capitals of the MLB where they have a lot of expectations. They normally blow up, but the one year it all worked out together, they were in an underdog role. Yeah. Is that not what the capitals work in hockey? Yeah, exactly. So, I get it, the braids are good, but we have not seen them do anything in the postseason since that World Series run. It's for me, still the Dodgers, there's really no reason to not pick them. I don't smell that injured again. We'll see if he's back before the end of the regular season, but we'll see, but until somebody beats the Dodgers, I'll keep picking the Dodgers. And Otoni now is potentially the side of it. He does everything. Yeah, so I don't know what to tell you. Yeah. I don't know what to shove today against Milwaukee. So I would still go Dodgers, but now the braids are up there. They're very good. I would have them second in a tier ranking. Yeah, same. Okay. Yeah. The Yankees taking on the Royals. Now for this one, the Yankees are using the Warren for this one. For the Royals, we have no damn idea. The undecided is the list of picture. Yankees minus 140. Royals are plus 126 for the over under IC9 for this one. So Warren has been very up and down, but I'd say mainly good for the Yankees the season. A 6 and 1, 3.61 ERA. However, he has allowed 11 runs over his past three starts. So regression is quite a factor. But the Yankees keep winning. The Yankees have won. I believe six of his last seven starts. So we've seen the Yankees perform well. We know the Yankees own Kansas City, which is a well known trend across the league. The Yankees win almost every game against the Royals. And they have been doing so for the last decade give or take. Warren's been fine. The Kansas City can't hit. So I don't mind the Yankees, but I wish I knew who was pitching a 4 Kansas City. Do you have a list of guys? Yeah, so they just posted it on mob.com and it could change. Well, Michael Waka. Oh, it is Walker. Okay. Yeah. Well, then you want. I don't mind an under. Yeah, I was going to say that you want to strike out because walk owns them. But I do think the under's worth a look here. The Yankees bullpened those been pretty awful recently. Yeah. So I don't mind a first five under. You might get that a four and a half. I'll ignore both teams, bullpened because I don't like either unit. So give me the first five under in this game. I see like minus 148 full line for the Yankees. I don't mind that. It's a little chalky, but my numbers did make him a minus 155 favorite. I know the offense really hasn't been there, but neither has the Royals either. You know, I think Michael Waka's been really good in the month of May. He's only allowed a few runs. So like Scott said, maybe first five over, but not the first five under, first five under, excuse me. I just think this is a good opportunity for the Yankees and their bats to kind of get going a little bit. And you mentioned Yankees just win, will warrant games. They won all three of his road starts. Last time he faced the rows, he went seven struck out 11. So maybe look towards a strikeout prop, but the offense has to get going. And I think this is a good series for the Yankees to get going. So I don't mind it. It's a little chalky, but I do think the Yankees are the right side. Yeah. I think it's the right side too, but I didn't mind the under as well. I'm moving on to the next game. Red's taking on the Mets. You have Lodolo taking on McLean. Yeah, McLean, no comment on his last start. Dammit got destroyed by the nationals. He kind of settled in late, but initially it was ugly. And then he was fine the last couple of innings, but it was still not great overall. Lodolo has been underwhelming so far this season. He was better last start though, five and two, thirds, three runs against the Phillies. Has walked eight guys in his past two starts though. Now the Mets we saw did not score it all this weekend. They got swept by Miami. Now for the pricing, the Mets are about minus 160. Red's are plus 140 for the over under I see seven and a half. I think McLean's going to go well here. I think it'll bounce back, but there's no chance I'm back in the Mets at minus 160. The Reds aren't necessarily a good team, but there are two games over. I think they're fine. I think that Mellodolo is not been good, but we saw the Mets struggle offensively against everybody that Miami had to offer, including the ballpen. So I'll go with the Reds, even if you like the Mets to win the game. 160 is too high. It should be in my opinion like 135 give or take and even that might be a bit rich. I'll go 135 because what Dololo has been struggling. And I think McLean despite the last start is still a solid young pitcher at home. So I'll go with the Reds for value of 160 is too big. Yeah, I agree. Mets minus 160 is insane. I made the Mets minus 135 favorite. So I don't love Nick Lidolo, but he has looked better in his last start versus the Phillies
in right now. I can mention earlier the meds offense is just broken two runs and three games all series. That's just that's just an excuse, but I just don't know how that happens. I don't know if they'll be able to compete with the reds offensively even in the reds losses. At least they're being able to put up runs. Met's can't their average in five runs per game. Met's can't even get three runs in a full series. So I don't know how you take the meds here at this price regardless of and I agree Scott. It regardless of McClan bouncing back or not, the meds just won't get him any run support. So you got to take the reds here at for value. Yeah, it's kind of where I'm at. Even if McClan does go well, there's a guarantee this team scores more than three runs and on top of that, if you're up one run and you see Kimberl coming in for the eighth inning, you're going to want to change the channel. We let him go. Oh, you did go. You do look Kimberl go. Congratulations. Yeah, he has a feel. Long overdue. Yeah, they should have given him a bat. See if he can gotten to hit this past weekend against the Marlins, but yeah, you're bullpen and your entire team right now is not very good right now, but you knew that already. So it's fun. But either way, I'm moving on to the next game. Dimebacks taking on the giants for this one. You have Kelly taking on a route for the price saying giants are decent favorites. They're about minus 140. A dimeback should plus 120 for the over under seven and a half. So, route has been fine this season. A 3.27 ERA. He has been battling or I should say bouncing between good and bad starts for earned one run for earned one run did shut down Arizona about five days ago as he gave up one run, but they still lost the game. They've lost four straight starts that is made by two plus runs in each start. Kelly was really bad to start the season. Then he had a complete game against the Rockies. He shut down the Metz as well and against the giants. He was fine six innings three earned. So last three starts 22 innings five earned runs. Arizona unlike San Francisco can actually hits. The offense has been doing decently against the white socks this weekend. I have been aware of that. I know Bader had a grand slam. I think it was yesterday, but 140 is too big for a giant team that's lost four straight starts by route and for an offense that might be waking up a little bit in the series over the weekend, but still a much inferior unit compared to Arizona. I'm on Arizona 140. We just said the Metz playing 160 wasn't saying. I think the giant is only one six season. Same to Arizona can hit. Give me Arizona. Pulse 120. Yeah, that's why that's why I don't mind the over here. My total came out to seven point eight. I just don't trust either of these starters. Kelly's giving up three plus runs in six of his last six of his last six runs in three runs. Excuse me in six innings in his last start. Verse the same giants club. So the game went over as well. And his last three road starts have gone over every time he pitches on the road. The game goes over until your point earlier. It's because the D back to actually score as well. Lennon rupt. He's okay, but he's another guy. He's inconsistent. Give up four runs. Give up one run. Four runs run one run. So he's just inconsistent. The pitching is just so bad for the giants. Overse five and O for them in their last five. It's going to be a windy afternoon in the Bay area as well. We got a love of a mile and hour winds blowing out. So I think we see some of the games here. I agree with the dog, but I like the over a little better. Yeah, that's fine too. But I don't mind Arizona potentially team total over, but I think Kelly can go well in this one. Nationals taking on the the guardians. Don't know nationals pretty good weekend. There are one nothing right now against the Braves going for the sweep in Atlanta, which is extremely unexpected. I'll put it that way, but yeah, they've been rolling. I'm sorry. No, they lost game one apologies. So the Braves actually did not have a good one game one in extra ratings, but they're trying to win the series here. So I'll see if they can get the job done. But for this one, the nationals are using a hotel who was actually pretty decent as last start. You're looking at buy be whose own six, but a 3.75 ERA. No run support at all. For the pricing guardians are minus one 74 nationals are plus 150 for the over under I see eight in this one. So buy be once again is been solid. Well, you're looking at his numbers and he's allowed a total of five earned in his past three starts combined. So he's been pitching well. The problem is they never win any of his damn starts until the last start of for the numbers, by the way, they won his first start against Seattle back on March 26th. They won his last start on May 20th. They did not win a single start in between them. They'd lost every single start that he made until the last one. So at least he's most recent winner, I guess, for the hotel matchup, well, tell has been really bad all season, but the last two starts he has. He's been better actually lately. His last four appearances he's allowed five earned last two starts. Tennings to earn runs. So he's been better lately. The guardians we know in general aren't exactly a great offensive team. They do enough to win because nobody in that division can hit, but the nationals offense is fine. I think by the can go well though. And in this ballpark, we tend to see a lot of low scoring games. I'm on the under. I know what telekin get sheld, which is a problem, but I like the under eight a minus one with three. Yeah, I don't mind the over. This is the first one. I think we're on opposite sides. I don't mind the over eight. I don't mind the guardians run line either. My total came out to 8.8. And I think if you could get plus money with the guardians on the run line, I think I have some value here. I know the guardians for whatever reason you mentioned. They just can't win his games, but he's been great at home for Cleveland this season. I think both offenses could score some runs. And I just think, you know, even today they won three one, right? But this is a good opportunity for the guardians to get their offense to pick up a little. You mentioned Zach let tell he struggles on the road. Batters hit almost 300 off of him in every road start he's made. We've seen high scoring games. They've all gone over this number. That's my worry. I feel like Zach let's tell is going to get banged up. And that's why I don't I can't back up. I think the guardians keep it rolling and I'll take it under or over excuse me. Yeah, one thing I do like though for prop. It's going to be a very low number and I don't really care. The guardians never strike out against anybody at all. And what tell we know is throwing mainly I'd say like 92 max give her take like around there. So I don't really see many opportunities for strikeouts here for the guardians batters. So I don't mind the actual under strikeout total here for the guardians. But I do want to ask you though for this match of the general the nationals. What do you think of this team? Because the guardians I think are good in a division where most of their teams they're against are pretty terrible. And the guardians at least have some form of a pulse which is good enough. The nationals are kind of frisky. Yeah. Do you think this team is like actually not bad? I think they're okay. I think they're like a 500 ball club. They're for whatever reason they're great on the road. So and they could score runs at home. I do worry about them a little bit. But yeah, I don't mind the national. I think there are 500 ball club and I think they're going to give a lot of people especially in the NLE's some fit. So yeah, I don't mind it pitching could be a little better. But think offensively they're able to hang with most teams. Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm also kind of stalling right now because my computer completely froze. So I can't actually like move back to the live stream. So I'm kind of just like stuck. So I can't look at any lines or anything and I can't really exit out of my computer either. What do you want? I got you. I don't know. I'm just stuck. I can't look at anything. I'm just frozen. So I think the next game is Philly's and the Padres. That's at 640 Eastern. I was going to say if you want I can try to like hard reset my computer and you can just carry on for a little bit. But I can't do anything at this point in time. Well, can I can I shoot it over to you? No, I'm saying like you can just if you want to just talk for like five minutes. I'll just all right. Log on. Log on. All right. So just give me a second. Sorry. But I don't need that air. So you can just rant about it. You can write about the mess if you want to. No, I've got it. But what will do in a therapy corner? Just give me a second. Yeah, I got you. Yeah. So the next game is going to be the Padres at home taking on the Philly's. We have he's Zuse Lazardo going for the Philly's. Randy Vazquez going for the Padres. Right now I am seeing the Philly's minus 125 on the road. We are getting plus money plus 110. I see plus 112 as well. With the Padres total is at seven and a half. I don't mind the Padres here as a home puppy. My number's actually made him the minus 115 favorite here. Randy Vazquez. I think he's been great for the Padres. Even in his last start, I don't think he was terrible. It was against the Dodgers. So here against the Philly's who the offense really hasn't been that well. I think the Padres are a bet on team at home. Are they a great bullpened offense? Like I said, I think it's a little more reliable as well than the Philly's. I don't love the game just because I don't like his Zuse Lazardo. I don't like his Zuse Lazardo. I don't think he's that good of a pitcher. But I think this is a good spot. Philly's have lost four of their last five games. Like I said, they're just not scoring a ton of runs. Meanwhile, Padres wagon at home 16 and 12 straight up. So yeah, I don't mind the home dog here for San Diego. Scott, are you back? Scott. Oh, yeah, I think I'm good. All right. Yeah. Well, we got three. We got two of you. But it's all good. I am on the
with Randy Vazquez. Okay. So for my thoughts on this game, I'm just see what I got here. Yeah, Lazarus been pretty up and down so far this season. A lot of strikeouts, but besides that, he's been vulnerable. It's been better lately though. I guess I'll have less than three earned runs in. Let me just actually count the starts here. I want to three, four, five of the last six starts. So it hasn't been better lately. We know San Diego got off to a great start this season. Since then they've been, I would say good. I think that's kind of the way I'd sum it up. But yeah, I don't mind it. Vazquez has been solid overall. We know that the Phillies on the road have not been great this season. They're 12 and 11. I mean, the Padres are 16 and 12 at home. I didn't mind. This could be an under potentially. I can see this being a lower scoring game up with the line right now. Is that seven and a half, which I think sounds about right. So I think I'm with you. I don't see much on a really intrigued by in this game, but I'll go for the, I guess Padres and the under in this one moving on to the next game. I'm managing between the Astros and the Rangers. For this one, we have E-May taking on rocker for the pricing and the Rangers are about minus one 36. Astros are about plus one 19 for the over under I see eight and a half for this game. So rocker has been, I'd say, okay. Looking at the numbers here has been good lately. The last two starts 12 and two thirds. No runs. So maybe he's figured some stuff out. E-May we know came over from Japan. And he has been really bad this season. One and two eight plus E-R-A. He has allowed 12 earns since returning from the I L. I'm sorry, he got injured and left in April. Came back made two starts eight and two thirds and nine runs. So not very good. We know the Astros can't really hit. The Rangers can't really hit either. But I trust rocker right now more than E-May. So I'll go for the Rangers of minus one 36. Yeah, I don't mind the Rangers at all. I don't love the game. But come on rockers actually been decent here at home 281 E-R-A. I think this is a good spot for him. And E-May is just, he's just not backable. He's been terrible in his last three starts three plus runs, giving up as well and all three of those starts. He gives up the long ball as well. Maybe watch out for a home run prop. But yeah, I think minus 140 or whatever you're able to get. I think it's a good price at home for the Rangers. Yeah, it's kind of what I feel. You can make an argument that this could be a one run game that comes down to the wire. So I get a better line in play. But E-May walks a bunch of guys. He's really just not in my opinion MLB caliber. I understand that he came over. So Saki came over. But both those guys should be in the minors. Like both those guys are just not very good. Do we agree on that? Saki was once again not very good in an outing earlier this past weekend. Yeah, I think they're both bad. Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. A match up between the Marlins and the Blue Jays. A pretty weird weekend series for one pretty weird series to start a moral day. But you have junk taking on your savage of four of the pricing here. The Blue Jays or minus 165. Marlins or plus 142. Four of the over on the IC 7 and a half. So junk has been pretty good this season. Or I should say he has been up and down. He was decent to start the season. Recently has been awful. He has allowed 19 earned in his past three starts. I meant to say that the other starting picture. I meant to say that your savage has been very good so far this season. Junk's been a mess lately. So out of the guise backable either. Your savage has been great. Toronto wasn't good form. They were good against the Yankees. Went into the weekend, played well. I know Vlad left the game early today. So we'll see if he ends up playing tomorrow. But I think I'm just going to be on Toronto first five minus half a run. Junk's been really bad. Toronto's offense might not be great. I mean, neither is Miami's offense. They beat your team in three games because the men couldn't score. It was only they lit it up offensively. And Toronto, I think, can do enough. I mean, they got the scenes a little bit in the game yesterday. I think that junk until he turns it around. I'll feed him. And I like his savage. He doesn't go much distance though. So I'll capitalize on the first five. I mean, Blue J's first five minus half a run. Yeah, I didn't mind the over in the game over seven and a half. I told him out to seven point nine. I feel like the offense for the Marlins can score when they're on the road. 15 and four towards the over away from Miami. And yes, Traeus average has pitched well to start the season. But he doesn't give you much length. And maybe we'll start to see some regression eventually come from him. Blue J's have lost his only two starts at home. And you mentioned it earlier, junk is just not someone you want to back away either five ninety four ERA on the road. It's given a four plus runs and three straight games. All three of those games went over the total as well. So yeah, I agree. I do think the blue J's, excuse me, will win the game by multiple runs. I just, I think we're going to see a bunch of runs here from both sides. So I'll take the over seven and a half. Yeah. Moving on into the next game, Rocky's taking on the Dodgers. This could get really ugly as it always does for the match appeared you free land once again could get really ugly. Taking on she in in this one for this one. The Dodgers are on the run line minus one twenty eight. So massive money line price. Rockies are plus one and a half plus one ten for the over under. I see nine in this one of the Rockies are ten and eighteen on the road. I believe they're about to be ten and nineteen because they're still down seven nothing right now against Arizona. She gains a guy on really not a big fan of. I know that he has some upside, but I have not seen enough consistency. Last star, for example, against San Diego, four runs like sure. I think he's very good. Free one though has been a mess this season. ERA over seven for the actual numbers here. He has allowed at least six earned and three was last four. He's allowed twenty two runs over the past four starts combined. It's been mainly ugly every time you pitches and the Dodgers just destroyed the brewers in the last two games of the road series. So I think this is hydrogen bomb versus coughing baby series of the week. I'm on the Dodgers minus one and a half. I think they buried this team by probably like four plus runs. But give me the Dodgers minus one half. It could even alter all total run line minus two and a half because it's minus one twenty eight. I don't I'd rather take the over from being honest. I see eight and a half's and nine regardless. My total came out to nine and a half. Both both pitchers are susceptible of giving up a few. Each in this game. I mean, you mentioned real quick about Kyle Freeland is giving up three plus runs and five straight games. They're just in shootouts when he pitches and they're not even an elevation here. This is on the road. So I and and what's his name's Emmett Sheen. He's not he's not good either. He's giving up what 11 runs in the month of May 512 VRA. He's terrible and I just think all offensively the Dodgers are going to be able to get to Kyle Freeland and that bullpen. So yeah, it should be a nice night. Winds are blowing out. I'm looking at the weather right now in LA. So yeah, I think we see a ton of runs. I'll take the over. Yeah, moving on to the next game. The last game on the card. We have the Mariners taking on the ease. So for this one, the matchup is going to be between Castillo and Savale for the pricing Seattle's favorite. They're about minus one 15 is or minus one or two for the over under. I see 10 in this game. I mean, we're in a ballpark that rivals course field. So I guess it makes sense why the totals attend. But we know Castillo has been really that so far the season 6.41 ERA. He was better. I can't even say that I only went two and a third innings. So yeah, he's been pretty terrible like insistently all the way through a four the actual home road splits for this one. He's been worse on the road a 6.85 ERA on the road. Now Savale has been good. He was not good early against the angels in his last start. He gave up five runs immediately in the start. However, after the first two winnings, he settled in. He didn't give up anything for the last three innings. So he kind of settled in there, but either way, he has been pretty good for the most part. I'm on not Oakland. I'm on Sacramento anyway, because there's no chance I'm lines with Seattle. Seattle's not good. I watched them today. They actually scored six runs. They still lost the game. I had a bad beat in that game. I had to Isville, the nine hitter on Kansas City. I had him for no hits. He fails to sack Bons. Right? So the infields in. It's two strikes. He's sack Bons again and gets an infield single with two strikes. What are you, what are we doing here? But yeah, they end up scoring four runs that in Kansas City did. But the Mariners are not a good baseball team. The A's are fine. That's a worn-all describe them as they are serviceable. That's good enough for me. But Castillo laying in this ballpark. He might give up six runs in four innings because he gives up a lot of damage anyway. And you're in a ballpark which is built to basically allow Langlea leaders and to allow curts in everybody to just mash. So I like the over in this game, but I don't trust Seattle's offense entirely. So I like the A's. If you want to avoid Svallie entirely, you can go as team total over. Probably like a juiced four and a half. But I think they win the game. I'll go for the A's. I think that's why I would say I even see some tens like on fanatics. But I guess I would lean under just because I don't trust the Mariners to your point offensively. I thought it was going to be Bryce Miller and I was like, maybe first five they have a chance. But it is Luis Castillo. I'm just double checking. He's terrible. I really don't know how you back him. It's A's or pass for me. Aaron Svallie's actually been serviceable. So yeah, I got to take A's here at home. I just can't trust Seattle right now. Seattle right now, even if they have a good bullpen, I don't trust Luis Castillo.
Mike give up five six runs and offensively, when can you trust Seattle to put up that many runs? Like you said, even today they score six runs and still lose. So yeah, I can't take Seattle. It's a almost at Oakland as well. It's Sacramento or past for me. Yeah. Let's go wrap it up though for all the games on the Memorial Day car time. Welcome back everyone to the MLB game and podcast finished all through all the games on the Monday card time to move on into our walk in dog picks. Dylan, what's going to be your walk in dogs for the show? Yeah, for my lock and I didn't go with the total and I'm going to go back earlier in the day between the Orioles and the raise. I'm going to between McClanahan and Kyle Brash. Give me the over seven and a half. Like I said, I just think the raise are a wagon. I think they'll be able to get to British and Chip McClanahan is just a different type of picture on the road. We mentioned it earlier. He did give up four runs to this Oriole team in his last start. So I think we'll see some runs. I will take the over seven and a half in that game. As for a dog, I am going to take the Cardinals here against Mizorowski. Like I said, it's not a fate against Mizorowski. He's been amazing. But when that bullpen comes in, I just think the offense for St. Louis will be able to get to him just based on a peer value play. I have to take the Cardinals here in a coin flip game. Yeah. So for me, I'm going to show no creativity at all. Give me the Dodgers minus one and a half and minus one twenty eight. Freelins been terrible. I'm not a big fan of Shaheen, but the Dodgers looked very good over the weekend the last couple of games. The Rockies are about to lose again, handily. They usually get killed by the Dodgers. I see a pretty ugly game here for the Rockies pitching staff, both Freelin and the bullpen. So give me the Dodgers minus one and a half and minus one twenty eight as my lock for the show for my dog. Give me Arizona at plus one twenty. Think it's a good price. The Giants offense got going against the White Sox, but I think that Kelly can go fine. The overall line just feels too expensive with the Giants who more often than not can't hit Arizona though. Has been pretty good recently. They're over 500. I think it's a good price. Give me the dime backs plus one twenty as my dog for the show. Anyway, this is going to wrap it up for the lock and dog time to move on into the home run picks for the show. Dylan, what's going to be your home run choice for the Monday card? I don't know what happened with this internet. Yeah. I'm going to fake. Cal Freelin. I'm going to take Moody Betts here to hit a home run. I also like a show. Hey, he also has two home runs as well. I just think he's been terrible. Cal Freelin. We're going to see a ton of runs. You mentioned maybe taking L.A.s team total over. I think this is a good opportunity for the basketball and at home, windy night balls going to be traveling. Yeah, I'll take them. Yeah. So I'm trying to think of which picture I want to fade because I think it has to be emails. It's coming back from injury. He has allowed two home runs and each of his last two starts. The problem is it involves backing a ranger's batter, which is never a fun option because his offense is pretty ugly. It actually watch. He has been worse against lefties though. So I guess I'm going to go back to one of my boys, even though he's been really bad. I actually can't even take him because he's on the IL. So I can't even take Seeker. Who do I want to go with for the rangers? Because I don't like anybody in this damn lineup. Am I actually going to go with Jake Berger? I don't know if I want to go with Berger. Is Nemo even alive? He gets injured in every game he leaves early. I'll go for him. Why not? Give me Brandon Nemo. America. Yeah, I'll go for Nemo to hold him. Why not? I feel like Tony Cornheiser. Yeah, there you go. That's more of a Canadian flag in that case. But you know what I mean. I'll go Nemo. I wanted to left the in the lineup. It would have been Seeker, but he's injured. And Berger can go fine, but he's already. I'll go for it. Why not? Give me Brandon Nemo because I feel like it did a home run against Nemo in this one. Anyway, that's going to wrap it up for the episode. Dylan, anything else you want to know? Happy Memorial Day. And I hope you guys enjoy your day off. Yep. Same here.
