In this episode of the MLB Gambling Podcast, hosts Malcolm Bamford and London Esworth handicap a full slate of games for Friday, May 8th. They begin with the Astros vs. Reds, where they favor the Reds due to Mike Bullows' poor ERA (5.97) and Houston's injury woes, including Carlos Correa's season-ending injury. They recommend the Reds team total over and the game over. For the Rockies vs. Phillies, the hosts highlight the Phillies' improved energy under new manager Don Martinly and back Philadelphia's run line and team total over, noting the Rockies' recent struggles. In the Angels vs. Blue Jays matchup, London leans toward Toronto with Dylan Cess, while Malcolm prefers the under on runs. The Rays vs. Red Sox game sparks a disagreement: London picks Tampa Bay and the under, while Malcolm favors the over. For the Nationals vs. Marlins, both hosts back Washington as road underdogs, citing their strong offense against lefties and rookie Robbie Snelling's debut uncertainty. The Twins vs. Guardians analysis focuses on Parker Messick's stellar season (2.40 ERA) and Cleveland's bullpen advantage, leading to picks for the Guardians moneyline and the under. Throughout the episode, the hosts align on many picks, with occasional crossfire debates adding depth to their betting insights.

Welcome everybody to the MLB Gambling Podcast on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network. My name is Malcolm Bamford, come at you from Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East of England today is Thursday May the 7th. We are here to handicap a full set of brand new series for Friday May the 8th, joining me from Greensboro in North Carolina. I think it's Mr. London Esworth. Hello, Mayor. How are you? Well, what's up, man? I'm doing good. Enjoying some days, Paul. A lot of it today. But yeah, man, I'm doing good. I think we had a great show. The last few shows we've done together, I think we've been really good. So hopefully we can continue that into the weekend. Yeah, you've been my lucky charm a little bit. I did the show with Dylan on Monday and it was, I think it was my worst one of the year. There was a few rain outs. I think there was three rain outs. I think I had them going four and eight, which like I say, it was my worst one. Basically, Andy Piers was my home run play in my YouTube show play who missed. He then hit three home runs the night after. So I don't know if I can borrow one of them and have that the night before. So right player, wrong day. But yeah, Megan, you would have been doing better. So I feel like in safe hands there. Yeah, I've just finished obviously when play by play on the Crystal Palace game over here in the European conference league semi final. But I can link it to MLB because Crystal Palace sent a back Chris Richards is a big Baltimore Orioles guy's a USA international. He's from Baltimore. I heard him on the Baltimore call. I think it was last summer. He was in the booth doing some radio stuff for the Orioles. So he's made it through to the European conference league final tonight in Leipzig in a couple of weeks. So yeah, I'm second to sound of my own voice. I'll crank out another 45 minutes or so. Hopefully we can picture winners. The Louisville Gambler was first up the mark tonight. Joe Dullet is into Bennett's bench. John just as well. So there you go. Okay, we'll crack straight on with a six 10 Eastern first pitch between the Houston Astros in the Cincinnati Reds. It is Mike Bullows for the Astros. Left-handed pitcher, Nicola Dullet for the Reds Houston, a plus one 10 Cincinnati minus one 30 in the total for this one sits at nine. I can't get there with Bullows. I am not there. 597 ERA. His XER is better, but not much. He's still very hittable. We're on the road across the board as well. So Bullows was quite a hard pass for me. Nicola Dullet was interested. He's on debut this season. I'm seeing a late start to his season. I like him. He might be vulnerable on his first start, but he had a 333 ERA last season, which was fine. Houston, crippled by injuries at the minute. They got shellacked off the Dodgers last night. Carlos Correa is now finished for the season. I think Carlos Correa. So the fate of Bullows Houston just seemed a downspot. So I don't mind taking the Reds at home, but just because I wasn't sure that Lidolo, we haven't seen him yet. I'm happy to take the Cincinnati team total. I think they can get to Bullows. So I'll take the Reds to score a few runs, Lundy. Yeah, I completely agree with you, man. I think the uncertainty of Lidolo is a bit of a coin flip, but he threw some bullpen sessions. Supposedly he looked good. I sliders been really good. So I'm hoping that that comes to fruition because I don't like Bullows at all. You talked about his ERA. He's got a high hit rate. And three Rolls starts last month, 12 earned runs for those home runs, 27 hits. And Cincinnati's been quite good at home. There are six and three as a favorite. I think that they can score some runs off Bullows. I mean, just the way he's been allowing. He has the bullpen. We saw what happened to the bullpen against the Astros. I mean, against the Dodgers. Obviously, that's the Dodgers, but the Reds are pretty good at home, especially offensively. I trust him to score some runs. I love the minus. I love the Reds on the Moneyline. I'll take Bullows hits over as well and also as total runs over because I think those are really good plays. And I agree with you with the full game over as well. If you want to take the team total over, I would go full game over Cincinnati's over in 13 of 18 home games. There typically been an over team all year. I mean, especially at home Astros, over team for sure because the depiction is just so bad. So I love the over in a game, regardless of how we get there. Full team ride. It looks like Reds and over nine for Joe Dollar as well. Next on the board. 640 Eastern. The Colorado Rockies at the Philadelphia Phillies. It is Chase Dullender for the Rockies. The Phillies will throw left handed picture here is Usla Sado. The minus 205, Phillie plus 170. The Rockies, the total is it seven and a half. The Phillies have found something like that in one. Under Don Martinly just changed it up since the since the Sacne Rob Thompson. They've won four in a row. Good spot. Yeah, I think so. I think it's a great spot for them going against the Colorado team who was riding high a little bit early on and now they've kind of hit back to reality at three and seven in the last team. I'm going with the Philadelphia team to over similar to what we talked about with the Reds. I think the Rockies pitching has not been good at all as of late. They've allowed eight plus runs in four to last five games and when you flip it over to the Phillies side with one eight of 10, their offense has been really good. So I mean, 12 of their 20 games have gone over at home. A lot of that has to do with their offense being good. And I noticed this is a small sample size. There's only nine games from the manager switch, but they just look a lot more energized. And I think that's to be that's to be taken into consideration here. So I like the minus one and a half. I like the team total. Yeah, it's a funny thing because we've said sort of joke and either it's just vibes. And obviously the Phillies have got to turn a good place. You look at the names on the back of the shirt and it tells you they're going to be all right, but it sometimes does just take something. Maybe they're feeling guilty about seeing Rob Thompson walk out the door. Do you know what I mean? I think we better do something for them. But they have put it together a lot. Dolan does numbers kind of out and nowhere. I was surprised when I looked at his game log because I kind of just I was like, well, I'm instantly want to feed him. That's what we've done for months. Actually, numbers are all right. Particularly on the road 21 and 2/3 249 ERA. Luzardo is fully on the recovery trail. He had two bad starts in early April. His last home start was seven schoolers against the Giants. The Rock is a 29th WRC plus against left handed pitching. But I don't mind. Dolan just I don't mind just under seven and a half. The Rock is on a six game losing streak. So I'm not interested in them. They can't hit the lefties. Maybe safer is the Rockies team total under. I think that might be the way to play. I can say Philly 5161 might get something like that. But as long as the Rock just scoring one, then you'll take the Colorado team total under for that one. Philly's run line. Duo once, which is sensible. Seven or five Eastern is off the board here. It's the athletics and the Orioles to TBD pitches. I think it is Jacob Lopez and Kyle Bradish. Yeah, I'm getting the nod from Launter. So yeah, nothing on the board for this one. Jacob Lopez is pitching a little bit better. I think then his bare numbers suggest he's difficult to want a bet though until he's sorted, actually shows it puts it all together. I want the numbers to match the promise. Kyle Bradish is struggling as well. 556, he's no better at home. The is offense is fifth over the last 12 games. Baltimore mid pack, but mid pack might be good enough to get us over here with Lopez. I think this runs for both sides. Obviously, I haven't seen a total, but I don't think it'll be huge. I would take runs here. London question. I haven't blindsided you with a question for a few weeks, actually. You've been getting lucky here. Peter Lonso, career homeruns against Miami. He hit one last night, which makes me ask. So how many career homers against the Marlins for Peter Lonso? Against the Marlins, Peter Lonso. He's been, I'm trying to just average it out to some people. I like this. I can see the little cogs going London. Yeah, yeah. I'm hoping they'll see you think. Yeah, let's see. Let's go with 18. Oh, I made it. I made it. I made it. I made it. I made it. I made it.
swear to God. So you could have had half a point for 29, but no points for 80. Baltimore against the athletics. Yeah, I like over a lot. I like a lot of what you just said. Both pitch is struggling. Both teams actually struggling. I think they're probably mere images of each other right now. I just have a little bit more faith in Lopez than I do. But then I do Bradish. I mean, Bradish content. He's got control issues on top of not being able to strike guys out. I mean, he's walked three plus batters. He's had four walks in his last three straight. I mean, three straight games with three plus walks. I'm full home runs in this last three. We talked about the athletics offense. That's one of the offenses that you can kind of expect to get going. And they just haven't been able to do so as of late. So I like the over. I think both pitchers are going to provide the off sparks for the offense. So no need to reinvent the wheel. I like the over as long as the number is in the under team. I'm thinking of following with it. Okay, very much in lockstep here. I think it's a team right for me. You add Joe actually. Joe's sticking all of his picks in the chat. So I think we're all three for three sofa. We are brought you by Brackle sportsbook and casino. There's tons of ways to get involved in the action. Left handed picture reads debt must for the heelers will take on Dylan Cess of the blue jays who are minus 160. Angels plus 135. The total on to is seven and a half. Yeah, you know, we have a couple of these games. Every time we do the pie out that we think is a good parlay piece. I think this is a great parlay piece. If you don't want to lay, you know, the 160, but I think the 160 is too low, especially going against the angels. Now, Reed Demors has been kind of up and down. He does provide some good length. He's going to at least six in his pitch and four of his seven starts. But the angels are just horrible right now. I mean, it lost seven of 10. There's seven and 13 on the road. And Toronto's coming in not playing extremely well themselves. They got four straight losses. They scored three or less and all of those. And I think they scored 11 runs prior to that four game losing streak. So they're solid at home, two games over. But I think that what it comes down to is the pitch and match up. Cess is much more superior than, um, then what debt mercedes. I like the, I know both teams have been struggling, but I like, obviously, like Toronto, uh, I'll say the rappers. I like Toronto roster a lot more. Cess has been really good in, in getting guys out at the plate. I had far strikeouts. He's second in the majors in case he's been solid at home, but he is coming up a bad start at home. So I expect a lot, uh, a lot more from him in this game. His hit rate has been up over the last three games. But again, the angels haven't been really able to hit anything. So I'll give you a couple plays, man. I like Cess. If you want to ladder him up to like 10 Ks, I think you can get there on the angels. I like Cess to record the win. And I'll take the minus 160 for the, uh, I'll take one is one 64, uh, the blue J's. All in on, uh, on Toronto, or on T, I'm also the share about this. Um, and debt mess, not was being good is XER is 280 in 40 in instance, sample size now. Slightly better on the road as well, which six has gone along to 305. ERA, the blue J's of below average against lefties. They've lost four in a row. The angels have got a chance that the road record 10 by enthusiasm. I might have taken the angels without that seven and 13 road record, um, plus 135 was a little bit skinny. So I thought about it. But I'm going to take it under. I think debt mess can hold the blue J's. So I haven't been great offensively. Um, so yeah, you, we could all pick a winner, but I'm going to go another way. I'll take the under seven and a half runs for this one. Next. Oh, seven, 10 Eastern, the Tampa Bay raise are at the Boston Red Sox, uh, TB, uh, TBD for the raise. Um, although I think it's the rookie Mason Englut, um, for Tampa Bay, which means it'll be a, a bullpen day, uh, I believe they'll take on, uh, Connolly early left-handed picture for the Boston Red Sox, so bullpen day for Tampa Bay, Lanthay. We'll have lost Lanthay there. Um, Mason Englut for the raise, um, the raise actually just come off a multi-series, uh, Windstreet at home, which is a good effort. Um, Englut thrown 12 and 2/3. So far this season, 7/11 ERA. They've all been out of the bullpen, apart from one effort. So this will be a bullpen day for Tampa Bay. The only time you did start the Cubs got to him, seven hits, four runs in that little opening effort from Englut. Connolly early has given up eight earned runs in his last two home starts. The raise have been winning without big and red hot, which is a good sign, I think for Tampa Bay, but I think this runs for both here. Englut in this bullpen day looks a little bit vulnerable. And I don't say why the race can't get to early. Early hasn't been great at all. Um, so over eight and a half, I've got no problem with taking a few run and see a lot of it. Yeah, my bad, man, my, my mic was just all Mr, uh, but yeah, you know what, um, I think this might be one that we disagree on. I, I kind of like the under. I mean, I think Tampa's been an under team. They played in 10 straight unders. Um, Boston is under in 12 of 16 at home. I know the pitching is what it is, but I mean, I think it might be reading a little bit too much into, not you, but I'm just saying, I think that the ice makers might be looking a little bit too much into how dominant Boston was at Detroit. Now that wasn't really good series for, for, um, for Boston on the road. I mean, Detroit's one of the best home teams in the league and they went in and dominated, but they don't really perform well at home. Tampa's one of the best teams on the road. Uh, they're one out of 10. So I'm going to go Tampa and I'm going to go under the eight and a half. Okay. Uh, first crossfire of the day, seven ten Eastern Washington nationals at the Miami Marlins left-handed pitcher Foster Griffin for Washington. And we've got a rookie on debut here for Miami. Left-handed pitcher is Robbie Snelling. Miami a minus one 20. Washing their even money. The tool is eight and a half. Lundtay Robbie Snelling. What you telling me? Yeah. Well, you know, Snellings been talked about pretty in high regards by, you know, by the, uh, by the organization, but I feel like we always get the most like out of everybody on the podcast. I think me and you get the most rookie day. Yeah. And I'm just to everybody. Um, and like we said, we usually want a bit on them because of the uncertainty. Um, in this specific instance, I, I kind of like Washington to be honest with you. I mean, they've been really well. They won today score seven plus runs and they typically don't play well at home. They're, they're really good on a road 12 and seven on the road. They're seven and four. The last 11, um, Griffin's been really good. Three and one with a 2.27 ERA 13 scoreless innings pitch streak. Um, he's scoreless. He, he helped team scoreless in road games that he's pitched in two of his last three. So he's been on fire lately. And I expect the national's offense to do what they do, which is typically score. And my, and the other side, they've been a little bit inconsistent for me. Um, Snellin could go well here early on, but I think after the first time through the order that Washington offense will kind of figure him out. So give me the, give me the nets on the road. And I'm going to go with the over as well. Now I just feel like Washington's offense has been just so good on the road. In fact, they're, and their 19 row games 12 of them have went over and we're looking at Miami, although they've been inconsistent overall on offense 24 of the 37 games at home have gone over. So I think this is nuts and over for me. So I came into this instinctively wanting to do exactly what you said. You see the rookie. You think half-tick said price opposition is the strongest. The more I looked at it, the more I wanted the national's long team. We've done the, we've managed to turn it around by looking at it. Um, Griffins 227 Ori is good. Is Matt Ricksey the sum regression coming? Not allowed with just enough to kind of balance him out. He's not a 227 guy, but equally, I think he's been decent. Robbie Snell is it interested. We love the debut on stormy 6 foot 3. Can't touch 100. Um, but Washington still ranked second. The offense is ranked second against lefties. Um, so I might just go off brand here. Miami, you've been a bit sloppy in this home stand. You pointed that out as well this week against Baltimore. In the nationals of 12 and 7 on the road. So this might just be a good spot to Zag where we normally zig and we'll take the underdog, uh, take the nationals at eight and a half.
I'm just catching up with Joe's pick. Nationals money line. It's another team right? Well done Joe on fire tonight. 715 Eastern the Minnesota twins are at the Cleveland Guardians. We have two lefties in Connor. Pre-Lip for the twins and Parker Messick for the Guardians. The twins here are plus 120. The Guardians are minus 140. The tool is seven and a half. This was lock material for me for Cleveland. Pre-Lip's been all right. Four in and in serviceable. Only managed four innings in his only road start. There's about two in runs in each of his three starts. But Messick's been one of the best start and pitches of the season. 240 ERA took a no hit. The eighth or the ninth even might be in actually last time out. That coupled with the Cleveland offence, which is eighth against left handed pitching. The twins bullpen's ranked 29th and I think they're going to come in early. They could be going five innings here. All adds up to him. Ticks in boxes for Cleveland. I thought I might have to take the run line, but minus 140. I absolutely love it. I think this is, I mean, no matter what total they hang, I'm always going to think this is going to end like three two for, you know, three one or something like that. Just the over. I mean, just the under is just going to be. I played it. I played within both of these teams. I like Messick at home. He's coming off as a worst start of the year. He's been lights out at home. At home actually he's not allowed. He's allowed over three hits once. So he's not even allowing a lot of hits. So give me that under. I think that number's way too high and the 140 is really cheap Minnesota hitting the ball will. But on the road, they struggle six and 11 on the road. So 100% agree with you. Give me the guardians. Money line and I also take you under. Joe in the chat asking where the ray gun is. If Megan Barry make the same pick on a game, it gets a ray gun. So because it's been a team right tonight, me and Joe, he's asking where the Premier League. Regan, which is pretty impressive. Long. See in it. I made it like super makes a good noise. It's so great. It's a good addition is the ray gun. But I'll keep it away from the ML thing show. It's strictly Premier League territory for the ray gun. That would be the only ray gun of the season. 740 is the Detroit Tigers at the Kansas City Royals. Kater Monterey for the Tigers left handed picture Chris Bougbitch for the Royals. The Royal to minus 140. The Tigers plus 120. The total here is eight and a half. Long to yeah, you know what I like Kansas City. They got me good last night. I had a had a pretty good size better than last night and they kind of let me down in that game. But you know, Detroit's coming in off being dominated by Boston at home, which we talked about. This is only Monteiro's second road star. He's been kind of up and down all year. He actually struggled versus Kansas City last month for earn runs on seven hits. Kansas City, you know, even with that loss last night still seven and three last team really hitting the ball will especially at home with 11 and eight. You know, you've been okay. He still has a he's also walk issues and Detroit got the best of him last series. Last month in that game, five runs and four and two thirds. But I think just I think Kansas City just a better team right now. I really like the royals to bounce back and also the Tigers are I mean, I don't know how dejected they are from getting that school will lose. I mean, it seems like the life has been something out of him since that happened. So I think that I think you might a Tigers are a team to watch out for like in fade mode. I think because if there are offenses not playing as well as it was early on, they could be in trouble. I mean, that's one of the major parts of my handicap. I think you're absolutely right because there's a bit of a pitch in crisis going 30 choice. Scooble obviously injured. Valdez suspended for six games, maybe five games, whatever it was. I think from the Valdez might be a bit of a tick after side is. So yes, you know, the consumer. The Tigers have used four openers and eight games now. So their bullpen is a little bit taxed as well. So they're all factors in and like you say, psychologically, it is a blow for them. Montero's going okay. They have had some good length out of him. Now that is important in the middle of this pitch in crisis. I actually think that over on the Montero outsmightly a play tomorrow. Because if you go in six innings and then might just have to leave him in tomorrow, whatever happens like I think he goes okay. So Montero on the outsee if he can get 17 outs or 18 might be a play there. But Bubitch has been fine. Betrothome Detroit or below average against left handed pitching. Terrible on the road, six and 14. And they look to be facing some longer to miss you. So I factor to in like you said, Lonty, I think this is a great spot for the Kansas City Royals. It is a big old team ride for the umpteenth time. The scene it. We'll move on once I've let you know that underdog has got your covered for picking. Next is a 740 Eastern between the Seattle Mariners and the Chicago White Sox. It's Emerson handcock for the Mariners taking on Sean Berg of the White Sox Seattle are minus 135 white Sox plus one 15 and the total is seven and a half handcorks been rock solid. I tried to fade him a couple of times early in the season. Unsuccessfully, um, I've pivoted away from that. It wasn't a good idea. Forty one and two thirds two fifty nine year A is X year A is higher on the road. But I don't think it's a gregious enough to warrant putting him in any kind of fade. Sean Berg's numbers have been excellent to sixty seventy or a is last home start was seven and one third scoreless against the nationals. Both offenses rank currently in the bottom half. So sometimes you don't have to look past the obvious for the answer, which was two pictures pitching well two offenses below average. The totals, Louis Knopf for a reason. I feel like Seattle player three two game every night. I'll take the undelante. Man, I'm with you again. I think we agreed on everything but like two games. Yeah, I'm with you. I didn't have a lot of success fading handcock either in order to have success fading. Then again, said Lanna because I thought Atlanta was, you know, the better team and I thought they were getting disrespected, but that many one two of three. And I thought that was really impressive of how they won those games against Atlanta who's been playing, you know, really well and I'm pretty sure we'll get to them later on, but yeah, I mean under is what I saw you said three two. I like that score. I would probably go, you know, I probably can take it one step further and go like four one for Seattle. Just because of the way that they've been playing and they don't really hit the ball will at home, but on the road, they really do hit the ball will and the white socks have been good. I mean, I like both pictures as well. If we're looking at it from a pitching perspective, I think that both pictures can hold their own. The offenses are, you know, hit or miss for the most part, especially with the white socks. Berks has been really good. He's throwing 14 and the third score was over his last two. The rest of the quality starts, but Hancock, man, like you said, he's been, he's hit rate has been a bit up and down over his last three has a lot of six home runs in his last four as well. But still, man, he's coming off that masterful 14 K performance, two in one, 2.5, not ERA grade on the road. I don't think it's a. I don't think it's a ton of separation between the two pictures. So I think it's more of a coin flip game, but I'll take the better team, I think coming off a good series winning against Atlanta. I'll take the Mariners and the under. Next up, the New York Yankees are at the Milwaukee Brewers. This one gets underway at. I've just changed pages. 740 Eastern left handed picture max freed for the Yankees Milwaukee will throw Jacob. Miss your off ski Yankees minus 140, Brewers plus 120, total, Lonte of seven. Yeah, you know what, man, I like the Yankees. They got back on track today for whatever reason. They just cannot beat Nathan of Audi. He's been the kind of their kryptonite, the only person who gave them, I think he's given two of their last five losses. I mean, they just, they just struggle against them for whatever reason. But I think the Yankees are going to have a good series against Milwaukee. Freed's not so sharp in his last out and versus Baltimore, but he's had quality starts in six of his last eight 14 score this any pitch streak on the road. Only three runs allowed all year on the road. So he's been masterful in the road. The offense will show up. Mr. Rowski, what I'm looking at him. He's dealing with hamstring, but he's been solid. It's just I don't know how much he's going to be limited today.
you know with that cramping. He does have swing good swing and misstuff eight plus K's and four of his last five. I'm looking at his when I'm looking at his uh has numbers and I'm looking at some of the offenses that he played. This is going to be the best offense he's faced. Probably one of the I'll name these offenses. These are the offense these face now. Washington pit Miami Toronto Boston Tampa Bay the White Sucks. I think Washington is probably the best out of the bunch. I mean Toronto's being hit or miss but this is an official on offense. I don't know how he I'll be able to manage through what the Yankees have been able to do especially on the road. So I'm taking freed minus the 140. If you pair that with that 160 that we talked about earlier I think you got a good two two-layed parlay now. What'd you think about that? Which did you like you like the blue jays earlier on Fiat Park? Yeah I like the blue jays. I was like the only one that I wasn't really convinced about. Like you got a good one. Yeah I'll tell you that I'm happy with that one. Um yeah one of us one of me you would in fact too with me you and Joe didn't need to be here tonight because we've taken the same place. One of us could have had the night off and I'm all over the Yankees again here. Um miss your ask is fine 284 ERA. The brewers are very vanilla all over all sides of the bowl. They're just kind of bang average. And the Yankees have been anything but they did lose to Yvaldi last night. That was only the third loss in 18 man you've got to you've got to be riding those ones at minus 140 with Max free who's been absolutely great. Um so back to winning race here. The name Mr. Rosky on the docket just makes the Yankees a better price really because I think any other picture in the Yankees might be minus 170 here. So yeah I'll take the Yankees it's pretty ball and but sometimes they're the best plays 805 Eastern Chicago Cubs at the Texas Rangers. This one is off the board the Cubs are currently eight three up. Um so about to win the 15th home game in a row at the Avloss mat boyd actually to the I.L. Matboydenger himself playing with his kids yesterday. Does that happen to you? Sorry does that happen to you? No, maybe 15 years ago it did but no I tell you what I've been asked to play in a football tournament tomorrow night. It's like if youth youth teams all the parents are playing in its tournament. So all the under six parents are like 28 years old but all the under 15 parents are fucking 50 years old so I might die tomorrow night. I'm going to come back but yeah I'm going to be on the I.L. for a elongated period of time when I've played football tomorrow night. Ben Brown goes for the Cubs here. The Rangers throw Kumar Rocker no lines on this one with the games on going. Um I just don't know why you wouldn't take the Cubs for a few reasons. I prefer the picture Ben Brown and it's the Cubs of flying. Second best record in baseball. We just talked about that huge home winning streak but Ben Brown's been one of the reasons why 25 and 2/3, 2/10 ERA. No problem on the road. Kumar Rock has just been poor. I can never get around to betting him 471 ERA. Tons of blue all over his metrics. A years better at home but he's hard to trust. Texas needed a surprise gem from Yvaldi to pick up a win on Wednesday but I just want to stick with the hot team here. I'll take the Cubs. I think they'll be a reasonable price as well, Luntie. Yeah that's another parlay piece if they're like around like 180. When I anything under 200 I think this perfect. Yeah I don't see a reason why you want to pay the Cubs here. They you know the one thing they do need is pitching. They are number one in the league after giving up you know Trellin in the first inning they always come back and win. They're to come back gains but I think the pitching has to be up great for just looking big picture. But in this game the Rangers don't have enough offense. I don't think the Cubs offense travels. Rocker has been up and down. I really don't know what to think of you. He's also coming up his worst outing of the season. He's been up over the last two. Yeah I just don't trust the offense to Texas. You know the pitching staff is great but they can't hit the ball. And I don't know if you can be able to depend on your pitcher to keep you in a game especially against the team as high as the Cubs. So there'll be Cubs or nothing for me. I prefer the team told over you know not at bats here. I think they can get some runs off rocker. I don't think they're going to be as close to minus 200 as you think you know. You don't think so? Yeah I might be near it to minus 150 but oh my god. If they're there I will lay like three units on that. I mean I might be wrong but yeah I didn't think like on the road and Texas and Rocker aren't sort of a gregist you know what I mean. Yeah that's fair. So next up we go back to the top of the pitch for a 940 Eastern first pitch between the New York Metz and the Arizona Diamondbacks. It's Nolan McLean for the Metz. Ryan Nelson will go for the snakes. This one is off the board, Lanter, Metz and Dbacks. Yeah I mean two teams going in totally different directions. I don't admit something horrible over the year but I know D-Rock's got to be happy man. Four and one over the last five games. You got to be happy with that McLean's been good. I mean he's been you know one of the bright spots in this rotation and the entire roster to be quite honest with you and he's also possibly his worst road start but he's been really good on the road. The D-backs are a team I can't figure out but they're going in an opposite direction one in four and the last five but they do perform well at home. Just from a pitching matchup I think the Metz are going to be the right side. I mean Nelson's 1 in 3 6.6 1 ERA. Over his last five he's been really good in three and really bad in two. Those two that he was really bad in they were both at home. We're here live 14 earner runs. So I'm going to take the Metz better pitcher better form. I probably regret it later but I'll send D-Rock in invoice if it is loses. You said D-Rock's got to be happy but it's the last time you've known D-Rock to be happy. Come on you might be slightly less miserable. They're happy. You stretch for Dylan like me I'm on the same side. It's not going to surprise anyone to learn here. McLean is a welcome side for the Metz 297 ERA 276. X ERA 238 206.5 Is numbers get better the more you look into them McLean just jumps off a little bit. Arizona was shut out by Paul's schemes on Wednesday but Nelson's been horrible. 661 ERA. That's 14.4 ERA at home. The Metz enjoyed that trip to Colorado. Might just have unlocked something in them. McLean isn't I don't know what what does that see. Oh sorry I'm not reading my own. McLean isn't skiing as what it says. But the game itself isn't a bad comp. McLean can pitch well and Nelson was vulnerable. Metz a little bit more lively. I will take the New York Metz. We'll move on to the St. Louis Cardinals at the San Diego Padres 945 Eastern. Michael McGreevy for the cards will take on Griffin Canning of the Padres. San Diego -140 St. Louis +120 Total here is at 7.5 Michael McGreevy's definitely due for regression. I don't know if it was you or Deer Ocdier. They say actually name checked him is kind of picking one of the Cardinals stand out pitches even though he's a bit rubbish. It was you. Yeah we've and I've told you what I've added but it definitely but McGreevy has been solid winning. Yeah the 252 E.O.R.E is actually a 528 XeO.E. The walk to strike out rate is too high. There's not much swinging miss from him. Griffin Canning is really hard to analyse for me. He said one start, five innings, one in and one against the White Tucks. I feel like I've trusted Griffin Canning far more than I should have done over the years. I feel like he was on every fantasy team I ever had for about four seasons. He's got a three in one career against the Cardinals for the 363 E.O.R.E. But I feel like St. Louis can get to Canning. They're still hitting OK and I'm happy to fade McGreevy. McGreevy's got to come back this 7.5 looks way too low. I'm going to take it over Lundy. Yeah you know what I kind of struggled with this one to be honest. I wanted a little bit of higher price on the Cardinals. Maybe I would have taken them. I mean McGreevy's coming up. I agree with you. He is due for a little bit of regression. But he's coming off one of the best outings of the season. I think one of the most impressive this year by any picture. I mean he threw six no hit innings against the Dodgers. But he's not been as sharp on the road. That's kind of concerning. But my issue with San Diego is they're good at home but they don't. They don't hit the ball well at home. I don't know what it is about them. They just can't hit the ball well at home. They are living in eight at home. 13 and eight as a favorite overall. No cannings. You know he looks solid in his debut coming off that Achilles. I guess they're going to ramp him up a little bit more or take him easier through the first few stars and then ramp him up going later into the season as you would expect. But this kind of stumped me to be honest. Now I kind of can get with your over. But if I had to take a shot with this. I will take a shot with McGrivi on the road at the close of the
I don't love it, but that's that's just the way that I would go. I don't trust the party's offense at home and I know the Cardinals have been, you know, better on offense as of late, but I just don't know if I can trust the party's to score if McGregor is going okay. Okay, fair enough. The penultimate game on the show is a good one. Good to see you. This is Cowboy tying 1010 Eastern first pitch, the Atlanta Braves at the LA Dodgers, left handed pitch, Chris sale for the Braves. The Dodgers will throw Emmett Sheehan. This is close on the books. See, this minus 105 Atlanta, it's minus 115 for the Dodgers. The total is 8.08 and a half. Lundy, this is you, but I'm telling you now, we definitely have the same pick on this. Yeah, I love the Braves. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Chris sale, like Chris sale and Emmett Sheehan is two totally different ends of the spectrum. We're looking at Chris sale 61 2.14 ERA. He's, oh, well, let me ask you something out. Let me ask you something. This is a little quick quiz for you. How many? So Chris sale's got seven starts. How many times has he allowed over two runs? Well, it's definitely either not or one. I got a goal for one zero. He's not allowed. He's not you it. He only allowed over one run once all year. And ironically, that was to the angels, I think, I think I think you allowed four to the angels. But that's the only spot. He's been one or zero and the other starts. He's got seven plus K's and four of his last five. The Dodgers, they had a good, well, Paheads had a good game yesterday. But like I said, they've just been playing 500 baseball for over the stretch. Now I will say they do ramp up their game when they feel a team is kind of superior like the Braves. They kind of raise up their level of intensity. So I'm excited to see what this kind of brings out of them. But overall, I mean, I just think the Braves are a better team right now. This is a Thursday row series for the Braves. They're seven and three to last team, 14 and six on the road. And you know, he's one of those guys as well that he's not as good as the numbers say he is. I think he's just got a good offense and they give him a lead and he's just kind of like pressures off. I think the Braves would be able to put a little bit of pressure on him. He's got sail on the other side. I love Atlanta in his spot. Completely agree. But unbelievably that was the first CV's loss of the season for Atlanta. That it like quadruple check that when I've learned that just didn't seem possible. Again, Seattle. Sales 240 in a array. Not quite the sharp on the road, but she and his numbers aren't great. 523 or a the dodges have lost his last three start straight up. I've got absolutely no problem taking that land. Now behind sale, it is price. No problem at all. It was a really quick and easy handicap minus 105 for the Braves. The final game on the card is off the board 10 15 Eastern. The Pittsburgh pirates at the San Francisco Giants, Carmen Mlonsinsky is confirmed for Pittsburgh. Giants TV day. I think it's left handed picture. Robbie Ray gets the nod off. Lonte. Lonte finished us off with a winner. Yeah, I like Ray at home. I like the under. I just think, you know, Pittsburgh is well, first off, San Francisco is not being, you know, we did the part together there in the Aussies and I like San Francisco. And I think you like, I forgot the team. Do you like the partries? Did you like the quadraries? Nistivision. I'll call it remember. Yeah, I can't remember, but we like the two totally different teams, but I like San Francisco. I don't think San Francisco was going to be this bad. Man, they just they. They have not. I like the diamond bucks. Diamondbacks. Yeah, but yeah, well, both teams are actually pretty bad right now. Sure. Yeah, but I like San Francisco in the spot, man. I think Ray's been pitching really well. He just can't get any run support. I mean, if you look at his at his starts, you know, San Francisco has been shut out in three of his seven starts and they scored one run in another. So in four starts, he's had the offense score. I combine one run. You can't win games like that. No matter how good you pitch, as Paul Schien, he knows. Which is ironically, they play their playing the pirates, but like I just feel like that San Francisco will be able to get off the get off the porch here with a good win. Pittsburgh, not really, you know, they're not good or bad. It's kind of middling. They're four and six of last 10. Mizinsky's tough last three starts for 14 runs. 19 hits. Two of those three starts came on the road. I think the Pirates offense can kind of get going here. Let's go with San Francisco and Robbie Ray to actually get a win and they could put some points on the board for him. My Diamondbacks handicap did involve them sort of picking five hundred to the deadline and then buying. So I think I'm where I need to be. So your Giants pick, however, it was just plain terrible. Mlonsinsky, not at his best, but he will be okay. I don't mind him. The opposition are hitting 244, OBP of 288 is whipped is too high, but I think Mlonsinsky can improve. And I feel slightly opposite with Ray, 295, but the X-E or is 380. He is happy at home. The Mono 6 whips fine plenty of soft contacts for me as well. Pittsburgh bottom half against lefties. The Giants 29th offensively in the last six. This is low scoring. It's 32 to somebody. Maybe Pittsburgh in fact. So I take Pittsburgh, but the undestude out of this line will come out. It's seven and a half, I would guess. I haven't seen the line, but I'll take the undet. Lonte 15 games in the boot. Who's turn is it to lead off with the exotic? As modern you went last. Oh yeah, I still love the good stuff actually last time. Yeah, but it's all good because I know what you're going to go with. So I'm going to pivot another way. So for my lock, I'm going to first game on a board. Give me Cincinnati minus 125. I just think that's my price with the way Houston is going. Don't like boroughs at all. So they'll always come in, you know, debut, but I trust the offense to get going. I mean, they've lost four or five in a row. I think that they can get back on track here, especially with their offense being really good against boroughs. So that's going to be my lock from my dog. Give me the Yankees minus one and a half. That's plus one 38. We talked about it. We think if it was anybody else other than Mizorowski, it would be a little bit richer. So I think that's a little bit too much respect for Milwaukee who's not been playing in the will and the Yankees who've been playing like one of the best teams in baseball. So minus one and a half plus one 38 getting all nine at bets, got freed in the bounce back opportunity. I love that for the Yankees. Yeah, we were on the same side of just about everything, weren't we? I'm going to lock up the royals. I think he can't see the Tigers. It just seems like a downspot for the Tigers for all kinds of reasons. Then on top of that, there's nothing wrong with Bubitch and how the royals have been going. So I'll take the royals at minus one 40. I didn't have too many dogs here on the grounds you've taken a run line. I'll take the same. I was going to lock up Cleveland on the money line, but yeah, I'll push that to a run line play. Messing against pre-lip just seems like a bit of a mismatch. I can say the Minnesota bullpen are going to get plenty of run here and they've been terrible. So Cleveland can get away in when this by three or four runs. And finally, Lonte, home run pick, time traveling home runs again for me so far this week. What have you got? Yeah, well, let's go back to the same game that I locked up. I think it's going to be a lot of runs, especially by the Cincinnati Reds. Give me Ellie Della Cruz tomorrow. He's been often home as far as he's seen. He's been really good in a couple of games and then he's not had to hit. So I'm hoping he's trending upward, especially against bros, who allows a lot of contact, a lot of home runs. Ellie Della Cruz has a hit a home run since April 28th. So I think you can get back on track here, hit the ball, we'll also take his total bases over. Obviously, you're going to take the home run, you want to take the total bases, but just in case, I'm going to take Ellie Della Cruz. I'll tell you, cannot keep the ball in the yard is Ryan Nelson for the diamond back. So we take a met and who's it going to be? The meds, don't make it easy for you to look at it. I hope it doesn't the stats. They don't make it easy for you to want to try and pick one. MJ Melendez is interesting. I just don't know if you play or not. It's either him or Juan Soto. I'll give MJ Melendez an honorable mention, but I'm not sure if you'll get the start and I'll go chalk here with Juan Soto off Ryan Nelson tomorrow. Lonte, well done, mate. Good efforts. Anything you want to tell the people before we let them go? No, man, hopefully we can keep it going. I feel like we've had some of our best plays whenever we've been together. So hopefully we can keep it going. I like the car for this weekend. A lot of good and chicken games, good spots. As you see, we didn't have a ton of big favorites. So that just goes to show us, you know, it's wide open. Like all these teams are playing, you know, similar. I was in play at summer playing, obviously above their water right now, but just overall pretty good series. So I'm looking forward to the weekend. And also, no, Bruno, it was Joe, pick cheers, Joe. You've joined in fully tonight. Five, so you're going to bring Joe on.
