Mistress Made To Read Vile Texts In Court After Wife Found Dead: "Give me proof that you HATE her"
44m 43s
Alia Botner, Caleb Flynn’s mistress, testifies during his murder trial that their relationship was built on intense, obsessive hatred for Caleb’s wife, Ashley, rather than love. Caleb claims Ashley cheated and is unworthy, calling her a "douche," and insists he never slept with her, only sleeping on the couch to avoid intimacy. Despite zero evidence of infidelity found in Ashley’s devices, Alia recounts a relationship marked by emotional cruelty, jealousy, and extreme suffering, with both parties expressing a delusional belief in a transcendent, unbreakable love that transcends normal human connection. The texts reveal no shared joy or meaningful banter—only declarations of hatred, pleas for solitude, and constant accusations of betrayal. Ashley found only a few messages on Caleb’s iPad, which he claims were hacked, and she dismissed them as false. Alia’s trauma is profound, with her claiming her life will never recover as long as Ashley lives in Caleb’s household. The prosecution frames the affair as toxic and morally bankrupt, while the defense raises doubts about Alia’s role in the crime, citing her erratic behavior—such as losing a laptop and dropping a phone in the ocean—though these are not thoroughly investigated. The emotional dynamics are deeply disturbing: Caleb openly expresses a desire to “kill” Ashley, while Alia endures relentless emotional abuse and fears exposure. Their relationship appears to be rooted in insecurity, projection, and a warped sense of love, not genuine affection. Ultimately, the case highlights not just a criminal act, but a psychological unraveling marked by delusion, manipulation, and emotional extremism.
- Better being better, boo. - Caleb is stoic when his mistress, Alia botanars call to the stand. Alia barely looks at him, she sits on the stand and she recounts her entire relationship with Caleb Flynn. She has a very interesting demeanor at times, she's crying. Other times, she's upset. She does a lot of shaking her head while she reads every single message they ask her to read out loud between her and Caleb Flynn and everybody's confused because sometimes as she's reading her own messages, she looks angry. She looks like someone else is typing that for her and everyone's confused like why are you upset? Sometimes Caleb looks like he's about to cry and everyone's wondering why the fuck are you about to cry? They look exhausted, why are they exhausted? Everyone else in that courtroom is exhausted, but you guys. Alia testifies that when she first met Caleb, she had no clue that he was married because he never wore his wedding ring. She actually found out from the other people that he was married and she testified for two years. It was a very professional relationship until the iPhone games started and she's asked on the stand, how many messages were exchanged in that year between you and the defendant approximately? - The first year? - Yes, yes, the first year. - They started talking. - 107,000. - A hundred and 7,000? - Yeah, the prosecutor asked. - Wait, what the fuck? - Oh, no, they do the math, fair to say that's almost 300 messages a day on average? - Yes, what would you discuss while together? The same things we would discuss over text messages like wanting to be married, just our days. I can't remember everything. They would also frequently discuss how much they hated Ashley Flynn, Caleb's wife. Alia says when we first met, he said that she wasn't worthy of being called by her first name. So he said that we're gonna refer to her as douchebag. This is not a one way ticket to hell. Alia is coming along for the ride because at one point in the messages she texts Caleb have fun with ash shit. And he laughs and texts, that's a good one. And if you're wondering how two God-fearing individuals, one of them being a worship leader at a massive church, the other being a volunteer worship band member, why they believe they can behave so heinously and that God will just be fine with this. Well, Caleb has a reason that he explains to his mistress and she relates this to everyone while on the stand during the murder trial. Alia says, Caleb expressed that he had feelings for me. And he said that the reason why he thinks it's okay to have those feelings is because his wife cheated on him two years before. He told me that she cheated on him and he told me that he only sees her as a roommate. That the only time they ever talk is from picking the girls up from school, dropping them off. He told me that he hates her. He told me the only reason why he's still with her is because of the girls and that he lost his chance to divorce her because it's already been two years since she cheated and he already knew about it. Now, does Alia have any sort of proof that Ashley did in fact have some kind of affair? Does Caleb show her anything? No, he just tells her that his neighbor witnessed the cheating and he knew the truth, whatever that means. But he doesn't file for divorce because of their children. Now, I just want to make it known. Investigators comb through Ashley's phone and all of her devices, they found zero evidence of cheating. Not even a questionable thing because that would be a big deal. If there's another man in the picture, if there's another individual in the picture, they could also be a prime suspect. They found nothing. So it's not like they were just like, oh, well, let's keep her integrity. No, she didn't. No, they were looking. They were looking for anything anyone that could have motive. They didn't find a single thing. There was nobody because Ashley Flynn was not cheating on her husband. There was zero evidence that she ever cheated on him that she even pondered the thought, had the fleeting idea of cheating on him, nothing. But Caleb is selling this story like a closing store sale. Everything needs to go. He's really milking it. He complains to Alia, douche cheated, made me feel like I wasn't good enough for someone to stay faithful. I hate her and allowed me to be with you though. And so I'm thankful for that, but those feelings never went away. And when we get together and I can't give you what you need and deserve, it makes me feel again like I'm just not good enough. But I hate her, but it led me to you, which I'm thankful for. In another text thread because Caleb can't seem to not rant about his life. He's just never heard of the concept of sitting in silence with his own thoughts. He rants on and on about how much he hates his wife. And Alia responds, I hate her. I've never hated anyone like I hate her. I hate the thoughts that she causes in my head. So I think this is where a lot of netizens draw the line. I think people were initially very confused on how to feel about the situation considering Alia Botner was much younger than Caleb Flynn when they met. And they met in church. And there's a lot of religious trauma that netizens were also feeling towards the situation. And perhaps she was groomed. And perhaps this was a situation where Caleb had talked so poorly about his wife about her cheating that Alia Botner genuinely thought that they were in a loveless marriage. However, the netizens started to just get confused by this because they all go to the same church. It was pretty apparent that that was not the case. Even between Caleb and Ashley, they had a lot of loving text messages where Ashley was putting an effort, a lot of effort into her marriage. She understood something wasn't right in the marriage, but she was trying to make it work. And those also. Yeah, I'm gonna cover those in a second. And on top of that, even had Ashley cheated, which is not the case at all. Alia's response goes far past what any normal human being would do. Sure, you could maybe hate someone for harming someone that you supposedly love that you have really no right loving, but it doesn't mean that you hate her and you've never hated anyone like this in your entire life and you hate the thoughts that come to your mind because of her and you want her dead. That is crazy. Caleb says, I'm sorry what she does to both of us, but mostly you. I hate her as well and I want her gone. I don't give her anything and we'll continue to do that. Alia says good. I'd be utterly broken if I ever found out you did somehow, meaning if they ever did anything intimate, it seems. He says, I know sweetheart, I know. I don't receive or take things as I don't want anything she has to offer. I hate her, I hate douche more than anything as I'm trapped in this twist of life. I live with her in so many ways. And Alia's like stop, so what are you saying? I'm saying I don't deserve you and I want you to be happy and I don't make you happy. So you're leaving, you're closing our chapter. How can you think that you don't make me happy? I mean, I don't know what this is, whatever this whole conversation is. Like no one wants to be a part of it, good Lord. He responds, I make you hurt more than I make you happy. And can you honestly say this is what you want and what you see for your life? To have to sneak around, not be able to love publicly and be hurt at all times, knowing my situation. I want you, Alia, as my wife and the mother of my kids. But what do I do? How do I escape this? I don't know Caleb, you have to find a way. Wait, what exactly? He said he couldn't divorce her for a word reason. It's been too long since-- Yeah, that makes no sense. Yeah, it makes no sense. It makes no sense. He gives a weird reason every single time, which is the kids, mainly the kids. He says that he wants the daughters full time. But if they divorce, no judge is going to grant him full custody. It's going to be split, shared custody. And he doesn't want Ashley to have any time with the kids. Now, there's not much indication that he's a great person. And therefore, I don't think there's much indication that he's a great father. So it seems like this is just an excuse that he's throwing at Alia. And she buys it. Yeah. And Caleb says, I want her dead and gone. August, 2025 is a huge tipping point for Caleb and Alia, because it marks a very significant anniversary-- Caleb and Ashley's 15-year anniversary. And this is what Alia has deemed the death of Alia Cruz. Yeah, they're going to go on a cruise. Caleb and his wife, Ashley, are going on a 15-year anniversary cruise. And Alia has dramatically called it the death of Alia Cruz. Caleb is not someone who comes up with a good plan. Clearly, he is not a bright thinker. He's not quick on his feet. And the problem is, he and his wife, Ashley, booked a 15-year anniversary cruise to Cancun. His mistress, Alia, doesn't want him to go on the cruise, but he can't tell his wife that. He can't tell his wife he can't go on the cruise because of work, because he works for his wife's dad. He can't say it's because of the kids, because it's their kids. And I think Ashley's parents are watching their kids. I mean, he really has no viable excuse he can give. So the original plan that he comes up with is he's going to fake a letter from the cruise company, mail it to their house, open it up. Oh my God, the entire cruise has been canceled. Yeah, sorry to inform you valued cruisers, but we have randomly decided to cancel this cruise. Out of nowhere. But all of it would take one Google search or one itinerary look up in your Gmail, one booking look up for Ashley to realize that this is the most ridiculous lie ever constructed out of printer paper. The easier option for Caleb is just to explain to his mistress that he has to go on this cruise. He doesn't want to go on this cruise, but he has to go on this cruise. Caleb is trying to explain how it's not easy to cancel anymore. Ashley's parents are involved, you know? They're helping plan because they're probably watching the kids. And they're maybe doing job offs at the airport or the wherever the cruise is. It's not like he can just cancel it. Like it's a concert, this is a big ordeal. And it's not like he wants to be there. He has to be, he has to go on this cruise. But he reassures Alia that he will gonna try to get out of it nonetheless, but he doesn't think it'll work. He texts Alia. What I mean is now that her parents are involved and have their hands in it, I have a lot of things to work out. I hate her and I want zero time with her like ever. But again, this isn't just some concert or little event that I'm trying to get out of. Anyways, like I said, yes, I will do everything I can to make it happen. He explains, I hate her. And yes, I'm forced to live in this hell where she is around. You will find another love and I will have to watch you and see that. I'm glad you will have someone because trust me, what I live in is trapped in hell on earth.
Alia responds, "Have a great day. Sure, you're doing loads of work these next two days before leaving on your beloved 15-year anniversary trip. The history you guys have is unmatched, by the way. 15 years, our 17 months doesn't even compare. She always wins. Enjoy your day. Enjoy your uninterrupted hours with her in the plane tomorrow and the hotel. Enjoy traveling and enjoy your favorite trip ever. A hell-sent death of Alia Cruz. And then Cabo, I truly have never been more sick to my stomach and I've never wanted to die more. I don't know how I'm gonna make it through. Every day we'll get worse. Every moment I imagine and picture of what y'all could be doing. Every second will stab me in the chest violently. I don't know if I'll still be alive by the end of this. She has to be happier than ever. I really have to go. I need to run from this, messed up situation of a life I live. - Is this like the energy of the Reddit group? - Yeah. - Like they feel like they are the fated lovers that cannot be together for whatever reason and they must go against. - So that's what I was trying to figure this out because maybe it's the fact that we don't see a lot of mistress's testify and read every text message that prosecutors request of them or sometimes they are charged as well, right? Or we hear from prosecutors of these are the types of messages that they're sending. But I've never really covered a case where to see these types of hateful messages, I was trying to understand the psyche of both parties involved. And half the subreddit group is like this. Fated lovers, he's trapped, so miserable, right? And then the other half are just like, I don't care if he has a wife. He treats me nicely and that's all that matters to me. Clearly she's not my friend, she's not my problem. So they don't have this fated mate's type of weird energy. But I would say generally a lot of people on that subreddit get very hung up on the idea that their married partner is having intimate relations with their spouse. There was this one post that I stumbled upon which was bizarre. It was of the other woman sending a picture of her topless to the married man. And then he stopped texting her. And now she's like on this death spiral thinking that he got so excited from that text message he made a move on his wife. And then all the other women in the comments were reassuring her. Like no, he was probably like pleasuring himself. And I'm like, what is that? But it was like genuine spiral out of emotions. - I guess what I'm thinking about listening to all this is one, obviously they're so pathetic. But it's almost like they're using the partner almost to romanticize their miserable selves, right? Like Caleb, you're a loser, you're nobody. And does that make sense? He almost is catering this life, bashing the wife to make it feel like he had there's some meaning to his life. Like no, I'm fighting for this love that I cannot have. And they're bonding through that almost. - It gets worse. So there's other text messages I'm gonna cover. But there's lots of reference to this love being given by God that is unsurmountable, that other couples have never experienced. And listen, I love my husband like any other healthy couple loves their partner, right? But I don't know if I would sit here and say our love transcends the universe and is a love the world has never seen before. Our love is so unique and special, but he talks about her love with his mistress in that way. And the way that they talk about it, it's like you guys are just a mid looking group of people, you two, those two individuals, in the mid suburbs. It's okay, we're all from the suburbs, right? Like you're not, this is not some great big Hollywood love story. It's just like, but they go real deep into it. They are in a state of, I think, some sort of like psychosis and delusion. And that almost makes it seem like this crime is less impactful, but it's, no, I think they're unhinged. They're so caught up in their own narcissism, perhaps, this is a better way to say it. - Yeah, yeah. - And I do think that, I think both of them are clearly very insecure. Caleb seems very insecure. I don't think that he has, he can't even light a candle to Ashley Flynn, like his wife. I think he got very lucky with his wife. And he's very lucky that she even stayed with him. But I think with that, all of the insecurities are projected and he wants to talk down on his wife and have this mistress. And I think the same goes for Alia. She keeps wanting to shit talk Ashley. And I think it's very clear, Ashley was very beloved in that church. I think that she was a person who was actually a God-fearing woman who followed faith in a way that was admirable. She would teach Bible studies. She would do vacation camps with the youth at the church. Her family's been at that church for four generations. There's not a single person that had anything even remotely questionable to say about Ashley. And I think that really pissed off Alia because I mean, she's not a God-fearing woman. She's basically, both of them are like, satan reincarnated. - Does anybody from the church has spoken out about this or no? - Yes, one person has and they knew Alia and said that she is like the very typical church vibe. It likes to look down on everyone's sins, type of energy. (gentle music) Caleb says, you know, I will not enjoy myself at all this week on this cruise. Regardless of what you think, my heart and mind will be with you. As I know, you will be hurting. I will not be having sex with her. Like you said, or even coming close to touching her. I hate her and always will. I choose a life of solitude 100 out of 100 times over anything with her, as much as that's crippling to think of being alone for the rest of eternity. I choose that. Alia responds, I've never been more hurt by a single thing in my entire life and nothing will ever top what I've been through. You have truly no idea what this has put me through. I truly have never felt such excruciatingly awful suffering in my life. If they weren't so evil, their melodramatic messages do make you want to roll your eyes because it's so ridiculous. He sends her a fucking audio message while on this cruise and he says, hey, I don't know if this is going to go through. Service is horrible, and they play this in court. But I wanted to send this to you as a text message is horrible. I'm sorry, and I just assumed wrong. And like I just texted, I don't know if you got it. This week felt like a lot of what we used to be. And I'm sorry. I just assumed anything you're more than free and able and have every right to do what you want. And I'm sorry. You know more than anybody that I love his heart, as I know how and I'm super protective. And I'm sorry, you're not wrong. You can do whatever you, the crap you want. And I was wrong for going on that cruise. I was wrong for hurting you. And I'm literally crying in front of thousands of people and I don't care. I'm sorry for hurting you. I'm sorry for everything. And I hope you have a great day today. Please do not, well, not that you're worrying about me. But don't feel the need to text me. I know yet again, I've made things worse. It only comes out of just sheer absolute massive love for you. But until I can be released from her, I know that you do not have to do anything. So I'm sorry. I'm going to text this to you. And then I promise I'll delete everything. It may take a while to go through just because of the service here. But I do love you and I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. So I hope you have a great service. And I love you. I love you very, very, very much. And all I want is you. So I'm sorry that my absolute desire and love and passion for you causes me just to lose it. So I'm sorry. What is this energy? What the-- what is wrong with this guy? Yeah. Is he-- like, what's going on? He's actually going through this emotional-- I don't know. Like, what's going on? Is he feeling what he's saying? Or he's just like in his delusional land. And-- I think he's in his delusional land. I think this affair makes him feel self-important. So his voice sounds like he's going through that emotion? Yeah. And he's always crying in court as well, just always sobbing. And it just-- it's weird because he doesn't give me like the stereotypical narcissist husband that cheats-- he gives me more so victim complex husband, which is also narcissistic and incredibly toxic and dangerous. But I think that's the energy to put it a little more precisely. He's always crying. He's always woe is me. He's always the world is against me and us. And he has such a weird self-importance of this is a love that God hasn't given to anybody else between him and his mistress. And it's like, first of all, you're not the first guy to cheat on his wife. And second of all, you're a nobody. The only thing worth value in your life was your wife and kids. Yeah. Kayla Bria-Shurzelia, have you seen one picture of the cruise? I have her blocked. And so I'm not sure what my wife posts, but just know that there are no pics of the cruise. This is because there are no pictures that we took. So he's saying, like, you're not going to see my wife Ashley post any pictures of the cruise because we didn't take any pictures of the cruise because we didn't have a good cruise. He says, I don't mean to bring the trip up as I know it's awful, but I didn't choose her. You have my heart. She does not. Since being back, I've driven past your apartment half a dozen times and I ball. I've sat across the street while you were at work and I just wept. I wept out loud. I'd give anything in the world to go back into it all different. I try to be obedient and just go and be alone to which I was, but I know it murdered you. It would have murdered me. I swear on my girl's lives. I'll live with regret for the rest of eternity. So after the cruise, she stopped talking to him? Yes, but she does that frequently. And they stopped talking, then they fight for each other again because their love transcends all. And then she gives him a deadline for when he needs to separate from his wife and then he comes up with some bullshit excuse and then they get back together again because their love transcends all. And again, I think where netizens get so frustrated is, he should have just told his wife and Ashley would not even wanted to stay with him. He could have gone and been free with Alia. just hours upon hours of text messages are read out in court, it took like two full
days. Caleb and Elias messages and it doesn't even cover a small portion of the 100,000+ text messages, I mean it's just they're handing her binder upon binder on the stand and they're skimming through it's like every hour is a different binder. Clearly the prosecutors and the defense want to focus their cherry-picked messages to showcase certain things but honestly I have no clue what Caleb and Elias even bonded over to begin with other than their shared hatred for Ashley like they're unexplainable unreasonable, undescribable hatred for Ashley Flynn that doesn't make any sense. That's what I'm saying. They're literally using that almost as a way to make themselves feel like there's something. Yeah because I didn't see any and maybe it's just the prosecutors and the defense don't have these read out but I doubt it. I don't see a single point where they have fun or bond over anything or banter or have any sort of connection outside of no we can't be together because of your wife. Yeah like this is the only reason they feel like there's something. Yeah. Is they almost feel like there is a big enemy out there that they need to fight through. Yeah. But they're just two fucking losers. Yeah. You know? Yeah. They just spend text message after text message pining over each other how they're so miserable being a part and not that having any banter or connection or deep conversations would absolve them of any guilt of this affair. I'm just saying it's just jealousy. That's it. Are you sure you're not sleeping with your wife messages? Are you sure you're not messaging any single guys from the youth center messages? Like really that's it. For example it's spring break Caleb is spending time with his wife and two daughters but as he's spending time with his family he sends a text message to Alia. I miss you already and I hate her with all that is in me. I'll be at the parks and I'll be as distant as ever and put my attention on the girls but I can only take so many bathroom breaks to text you. I can't call you as I won't have my car to drive away in this by myself. I hate this spring break. I hate it. I hate her and I hate my life because she doesn't give a rat's ass. He gets a rather quick response from Alia who says "hear me. I love you more than anything in this world." And again people are confused how you can love someone who talks so vile about his own partner, the mother of his children at the end of the day. And you haven't lost me yet Caleb. He doesn't respond. What have you been doing? Because she's getting upset. Like are you spending time with your wife? And he says crying. For the last 15 minutes? Baby. Yep, crying. What can I do? Caleb responds with two words. Kill her. Alia doesn't give any response which Caleb takes as a sign to just continue his monologue. I already miss you like crazy and I hate her ever living guts. I hate her. So please remember that. I've said so many times I hate her and I don't want her here. Other times he reassures Alia. I don't know why she does what she does but just like last night I didn't go look for it or even give her an opportunity. But if she ever even tries to do anything like that which she hasn't, I will laugh at her freaking face and tell her I hate her again or just walk away. Which sounds like he's reassuring Alia that he's not intimate with his wife. Yeah. And again apparently that's a huge thing for this R-slash other woman subreddit and I bring it up because I also think they're so narcissistic. It's like you guys you're not special. These feelings you're feeling are not special. Like this is a very common thing. She wants confirmation in the way that I think some of these text messages showcase why netizens believe that Alia played a role in Ashley Flynn's death and that's a belief that has not been she's not been charged. She's not been convicted of a crime. That's just a netizen theory speculation conspiracy if you will. But some people also conspire online. There are speculations online that perhaps the kids would have been next because there's almost hatred for the girls that seeps through Alia's messages too. No way. It's not so much like I hate your daughters but it gets very strange. So Alia wants confirmation that Caleb is not interacting with his wife or even behaving cordially in front of their two children. So he's off to spend the day at the pool with his daughters and his wife to which he reassures his mistress Alia missing you so much today. Doosh is pissy like normal. The girls and I were ready to go and she was taking forever so she got mad that she was being rushed. I hate her so much. She ruins everything. She's not talking to me now. Thank the Lord. Can't stop thinking about wanting to run away with you. Me and the girls just ate breakfast and are now at the pool. I'm not getting in or taking my shirt off. No interactions. I hate her and I want nothing to do with her. He reassures Alia in a separate message. I'm not giving her time or dates. I was up very late last night as I was crying and missing you all night. She accuses him of spending time with his wife and the mother of his children. He texts. I'm sorry Alia. I put my phone away and I was with the girls. I can't reiterate enough. I hate Ashley. She doesn't get me. I hate her. I don't want to talk about her tonight. I never want to talk about her because I hate her. But Alia is asking things like how did you propose to her? I just need to know. Then I'll sleep for the night. He's like I know. I know it's horrible and I hate it more than you know. I made a decision that I fully regret solely based on what I thought would not hurt my girls. Like little did I know it hurt me the most. So he's saying like he's trying to ignore all these questions. At one point Caleb is texting Alia. Good night. She says just good night. Sad face emoji. That was awfully short. Reminded me of when we were just friends and said good night and nothing else. Caleb responds babe stop. I love you. Hope you sleep amazing. Alia is upset that he has a good relationship with his extended family aka his wife's parents, Ashley's parents. The grandparents to his children. Also his boss. Yeah. Also his boss. The pace him. $200,000 a year. Yeah. And Alia says glad you're so close to her family and she's so close to yours. Her entire family checked on you after your accident. Which the accident sounds like a big ordeal but Alia says someone wrecked into the side of his car out of stop sign. So yeah he apologizes and he says I'm sorry that this is so hard and he reassures her that he hates his wife and quote I want her dead and gone. In another message he reassures her all I can do is assure you and I'm not lying to you. I'm not sleeping in that bed. I don't want to nor will I ever. I'm sorry that again you're in your head so much. I hate her. I will always hate her and I know it's hard knowing things are wanting to ask about every detail. I wanted to ask as well and my mind wanders all the time as well but I'm sorry I'm sorry that you're hurting and that you have to go through all of this. One message from Alia to Caleb reads have a great time as a family and as parents in all caps celebrating your daughter. I feel physically sick with all this stuff. You have absolutely no idea what a perfect amazing freaking family. What an amazing duo you and her are. I want to run in front of a bus. She doubles down. You're doing this together as parents for your shared daughter. Do you still not understand what I go through? Can you actually make me feel seen valued heard and affirmed when I'm having these moments for once? I'm hurting beyond belief today. You'll never understand what these things are like for me even if they seem small to you. Well I'm just going to leave you. I hate while you're there. I hate feeling unseen and alone especially when you and do share together throwing your daughter a birthday party. I see. I explained so much earlier why this is so painful and I still barely got a heartfelt response. These times are horrible but so much worse when you respond the way you do. Have a blast. Enjoy yourselves. Generally hope Ava feels so celebrated and that you and Ashley made that happen together. The birthday party. Where Ava is? Their daughter. Alia hates that they have children because that will always tie Caleb to Ashley. She says my heart is bitter. Everything is clouded. I have a 10,000 percent not moved on. You really have no idea what this has done to my life if you think that's the case. There are ties I have to you that will never go away. I still cry daily. I still ache daily. I'm a zombie. I'll never be the same and I'm scared. I'm scared to open myself up to you again at all. I'm terrified to experience this pain all over again and no matter what she'll always have a part of you. She's always in your life and she haunts me. Alia says her recovery from this trauma has no end in sight. Quote, "As long as she, Ashley, lives in your home and is called your wife, basically the trauma for Alia will never end." She also wants confirmation that Caleb is taking a nap with one of his daughters and she says, "Send me a pic of you and Ava napping together, please. I get so scared when you're napping in bed because I know douche always takes naps. Of course, it's fine if you're just with your girls, but makes me think douche is there too with Alissa, the other daughter." So she's like, "I just don't like the idea of all of you guys napping as a family. Just anything and everything about Ashley they hate." It appears that is the sole foundation of their affair. Alia even complains about Ashley's decorations for some holiday, I guess. Her decorations are hideous. Caleb responds, "I literally hate them all." She says, "I'm upset that you're in the living room that leaves room for her to watch TV with y'all when she gets back." So he's explaining that Ashley's not home, that he's in the living room with the girls watching TV. And Alia is like, "I don't like this because when Ashley comes back, it's so easy for her to join you guys on the couch and watch TV with you guys, basically." And she says, "Did you already eat dinner with the girls? Get ahead of that." Meaning like, eat dinner before she gets back so it's not a family dinner with all of you guys. It seems to be what she's insinuating. He says, "If she gets back and the girls are still up, I'll immediately go to the office." Sounds good. Alia even discourages Caleb talking to his wife at all, saying things like, "I wouldn't ask her yourself. She'll think you care about her life and then could go into more conversation." Okay, I won't ask. Good point. Just show her you couldn't care less about where she was or her life at all. Done. Easy. Okay. In another message, Alia says, "Can I be honest with two things I'm worried about coming up?" Todd and Jill, so these are Ashley's parents. Todd and Jill, sending you on a Valentine's Day date, because that's kind of what they do. They're like, "Oh yeah, we'll watch the girls. Don't worry. You guys go and enjoy your, you know, a couple of times." I know this will happen, and I know douche will want to do something for it, and her birthday is coming up. Yes, I know when her birthday is, I'm so nervous about these two things. And with how honest we're being with each other, we use seriously promised me to be 100% honest if Todd and Jill try to send you guys on a date and when it ends up happening. Please don't keep
that from me just to protect my heart, keeping it from me will make it so much worse. And can you promise me you won't get her anything for her birthday or do anything for her? My thoughts are that you might just so she won't be suspicious. Oliya tells him, "And if you go to bed early that night, that would be very suspicious." So she's saying like, "If you stop texting me and saying you're going to bed early for Valentine's Day, I'm going to be suspicious of you." Just know I'm super edgy and antsy for these two things and need your affirmation about both. She really need you to tell me about Valentine's Day stuff and need you to promise me about her birthday. She starts grilling him. What did you do for her birthday last year? Please be honest, it was before us, so just be honest. If I were to ask her, what would she say? Oliya then tells Caleb, "I'll stop spiraling. I just need to feel better about these two things. Have there been any Valentine's Day traditions every year, like you getting her flowers or anything else? Please do your best to answer all these questions." The jealousy does go both ways in fact, which is also bizarre and unsettling. Caleb expresses his very strong frustrations at Oliya's jealousy because he says, "I didn't get a response from you while you were playing pickleball for almost three hours. I wasn't mad because I knew you were with people and you were busy. You could so angry with me when you don't get a response right away or you don't get it the way you want. You know I'm with my daughter and her friends. I'm not around douche and I stay away from her at all times. We did not plan this together. This is what my daughter wanted and douche scheduled it. I just show up and play, but I'm sorry it hurts. I'm sorry more than anything." He goes on in a whole exhausting spiel about how sorry he is and how he hates Ashley and Delia responds, "Why cater to Ashley and what she fucking wants? I'm so done with you. I know you have murdered my heart in every way. Hope you're glad you took my virginity and also my heart and stomped all over it." So I know it's not good to purity shame, but a lot of netizens are like, "This girl was not a virgin." But also maybe she was, I don't know. But they're a mess. They're just a mess, right? She says, "Enjoy your marriage. I'm done. Life with you and loving you is so easy and just makes sense. I've fallen so madly in love. I don't want to settle for anything else." Caleb responds desperately, "You have to get rid of douche. I need you. You're my everything. My heart and soul. My best friend. My love. My bitter half." Delia says, "I don't even want to say this in a joking way anymore. We need a solution Caleb. We need it to be me and you forever and no exceptions." He says, "I've never joked about it. I love you baby. I love you so much." She says, "I love you sweetie. Wow, it's been so long since we've been loving and flirty. And I miss it desperately." Delia botnars testimony during Caleb Flynn's trial was, "I would say likely one of the most damning testimonies I've heard in a long time to have prosecutors tell the jurors that the defendant is having an affair and is now being accused of murdering their spouse is bad enough. But to have that affair partner testifying about all the low-level scum of the earth activities Caleb would do with her and say to her about his wife. I imagine would be very hard to forget in that jury deliberation room." Delia testifies that they were just really, their level of crazy is one that I don't think many people can even comprehend. Delia testified that she met Caleb's mom at a croger, it's like a rouse, it's a supermarket. She's asked on the stand like, "How was that arranged?" You just met your married boyfriend's mom. What did he. With Caleb like, "Hey mom, this is my mistress." Right? What was that about? And she says, "Well, she really wanted to meet Caleb's family, because that's something Ashley has a good relationship with Caleb's family, right? But she never gets to meet Caleb's family." So she said, "At the time, I always wanted to meet his family, so Caleb said that we would plan accidentally running into each other so that I could meet his mom at the store." So I'm sure it was just like, "This is Alia, the worship leader at CLCE." Wow. Alia testifies that she sought out validation from Caleb by making Caleb tell her how much she hates his wife. So that's just another thing. I think that Alia genuinely thought that she was going to meet Caleb's mom and Caleb's mom would just follow it all with her and be like, "Wow, you are such a great, pretty individual." So what is it? This is known that she met the mother at a croger and they just want to know how that happened, but then there's nothing further. There's nothing happened. She just met the mom like, "Hey, mom, I know her." And that's it. Yeah, I think maybe Alia was hoping for some sort of introduction to insert herself into Caleb's family as well, though it doesn't seem like that ended up happening ultimately. But I think the lengths that both of them were going to are very extreme. So typically in a lot of these cases, you do have, I think the main fault always lies in the married spouse. Yes, right? But when you have cases like this and you have a crime, netizens are wondering, "Are we sure there's full justice for Ashley Flynn?" Not that we're accusing people, netizens are accusing people, but just based off the text messages and the lengths that they were going to, it seems extreme. They do a lot. They're doing a lot to try and be together. It's not just, "Hey, I'm having an affair and if I can't have my wife and my affair partner then it's not like it just feels. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah." Alia's asking, "Quart, it seems like from the message that you read on direct that you're continuing to seek validation from Caleb in your belief that he hated Ashley." Alia's like, "Yeah, that's one of the ways. And you at the time not believe that Caleb actually hated Ashley?" Alia says, "There were a lot of times that I questioned it." So it's the fact that she's like, "No, I needed him to hate his wife." Because it's not even just like, "Oh, you hate her, I hate her, we hate her together," which is already despicable, but it's like, "No, I questioned your hatred for your wife." That's crazy. So she's saying that he's almost doing it just to police her. Yeah, that's what the defense gets out of her, which helps the defense too. It's, you know. and she's like, "Sometimes I do feel that way." Yeah. And they're like, "Why?" Because we shared location and I would see him at a restaurant or a movie theater and later find out that they were together. He would explain what had happened and I wouldn't believe him, but that would happen. And then I would see text messages on his phone from her saying that she loves him and she always seemed to be very loving towards him. So that made me think that he was also loving towards her. Was there a time that you asked him to talk about how much he hated Ashley? Like straight up, like, "Can you tell me who you hate your wife?" And she said, "There were probably times." Alia has asked, "You expressed how hard it would be if you learned that Caleb was enjoying any period of time with Ashley." Yes. So the prosecutors want Alia's on the stand. They spend a lot of their time just showcasing how evil Caleb and Alia are collectively. They don't try to make Alia look better. They don't try to say Alia was young. She was manipulated by this older man at church. They're just like, "You guys are too weirdos in a bucket and probably deserve to go to hell together." That's the vibe of the prosecution. The defense, they're showcasing Alia as maybe you hated Ashley more than Caleb to draw some doubt with the jurors of maybe there was an intruder. Maybe there was an intruder who knew that there was a gun in the console, which Alia admits that she knew. Maybe Alia is the intruder while Caleb was asleep. That's kind of the insinuation that they give. I will assume they have looked into her thoroughly, right? Not thoroughly. Oh. Or in my opinion, not thoroughly. They have looked into her, but not thoroughly. So for example, she had a burner phone. They didn't even take that into evidence. She had conveniently in January, like a month before Ashley's murder. She goes on a solo trip to Florida. While she's kayaking, her phone falls into the ocean. She gets it, but it doesn't work anymore, she says. Okay. They're really looking to that. Then on her way back from Florida, she loses her work laptop. They don't look into that. So lots of weird devices are moving around and doing some weird things. But again, these could all be a coincidence. And she could just be the clumsiest dumbest person out there, but yeah. And I'm not calling her dumb because she dropped her phone in the ocean or lost a laptop. Yeah. Caleb even promises that he won't share a bed with his wife, the mother of his children. He tells Alia that he only sleeps on the couch. He reassures her. I don't know how her. I don't say have a good day. I don't even say bye. I walk away because I hate her. At one point, text messages indicate that Caleb was on the phone with Alia. But he hung up because his wife was Ashley was either walking into the house or catching on. And Alia text Caleb. The thought of us being free and just being able to talk all night and not have her interrupt moments like that. Which you're the one interrupting like. So she hasn't tried to expose the relationship to the wife herself or threatened to. No. So Ashley has found out about on the cruise, Ashley will find out about text messages. But I don't think that she understood the full extent of what was occurring. And we do cover that in the next part because that's more so part of motives and yeah, that's a whole different. But Alia continues. I mean, I literally forgot she existed for a minute and you were just sitting on the phone with me for so long. And then all of a sudden, complete change and you have to go and cater to her again. I hate her more than I ever have. I hate all of it. Caleb responds, I hate her too with all my heart. I want this freedom more than my next breath. Alia says things like if you really do hate her and she knows that and you want me so much more than her, then say goodbye to her forever. Would you rather have a life with her or me? And say goodbye to her forever. That's the question that you'll have to wrestle with forever. You have one life on Earth as a human being. You make your own choices, but time is ticking and I can't wait forever. Bye, February of 2026. These two individuals are reaching a very strange point.
the affair. Ashley by this point has found two instances of text messages between Caleb and Alia that are raising her suspicions. So her first one that she found was much prior to the cruise. She found eye messages on his iPad. So Caleb had deleted all the text messages with Alia on his iPhone, but his iPad was synced. So Ashley goes to open up the iPad and a bunch of messages come in. Now these messages were from an unnamed individual, so she didn't know it was Alia. She had no clue. But she did see a picture of Alia's hand. So Alia had taken a picture of her own hand and drawn an engagement ring on her hand and sent it to Caleb. Ashley sees that it doesn't seem like she saw a lot of the messages. I don't think she saw messages referring to her as douche or any of the very alarming ones. I think she just saw like two or three messages pop up that we're confusing. I think he was with her when she opened the iPad and he somehow convinced Ashley who is and again good people believe in the good and others. He convinces her that he was hacked and that whoever hacked him was faking all these messages or something. At one point, Ashley even Googled if that happens. Can you get hacked and people fake messages between you and someone else? But he convinces her that it was just a hacking. And this is why a lot of netizens believe that he is someone who was just that evil. Like I don't think he had any problems in his marriage with Ashley. Not that that would make things more excusable at all. I think it actually makes things worse. And I think she believed he was hacked because their marriage seemed to find otherwise. I mean, there was some tension, especially leading up to Ashley's death. But it was not this unsurmountable tension of our marriages falling apart where Ashley had all the red alarms going off where she knew something really grave was happening. I think that she just genuinely thought it was bad, but they're going to get through it. On the cruise, she does see messages with Alia and she sees the name Alia. So she actually texts Alia after the cruise to ask her to grab coffee because she wants to talk to her about it. Whether Caleb gave some crazy excuse of like, oh, she was reaching out to me or like, nothing happened. I don't know. I think Ashley just wanted to get to the bottom of it. However, Alia declined. She did not want to go to this coffee date. She also texted Caleb that this would absolutely tear her apart because she's already so distraught after this cruise. She can't even stand to look at Ashley. The idea of Ashley, even uttering Caleb's name, is so unfathomably painful that she cannot go through with this. Yeah. And I think Ashley was just trying to figure out what was really happening to the months leading up to her death. And I think Caleb was, it seemed like he was convincing in the fact that he was committed to his family as the vibe. Meanwhile, he's texting Alia things like, "All I want is you. I'm sorry I hurt you. I was up until 4 a.m. crying. Literally just trying to think of ways to kill her and not go to jail. All I do is daydream about you. All I do is dream about hugging you. I'm sorry I've hurt you. I truly am sorry." February 16th, 2026. Everyone is gathered at Ashley's parent's house. So you have church leaders from Christian Life Center, if Ashley's parents and Caleb is there as well along with the girls. Alia walks in because all the church leaders are there and Alia asked her boss and he said, "You have to come. Someone in our congregation has been murdered by a home invader." Uh-huh. She goes to the Smith residence, Ashley's parents' house. Caleb walks over to her, wraps his arms around her, hugging her. In his in-laws' house, hours after his wife has been killed by him. He's hugging Alia openly in front of everyone and he says to her, "Only she can hear this, but he says to her and this is according to Alia. It didn't happen the way we thought it would. Did it." That's what Alia claims. What? And that is where I leave you with this part of the Caleb Lynn case. The final part is coming in a second, the second video, but that's more so the trial coverage, more text messages, what the pastor at the church had to say. Where was Alia at the time of the murder? What did Caleb Flynn's Apple Watch data? His aura ring data have to say about whether he was awake or not during the time of this so-called home invasion. So stay tuned for that. Be safe and I will see you in the next one. [Music]
