We are fired up because we've got group three action from Ramwick this weekend. We've the group three missile stakes over 1200 meters. It sees the return of some very nice sprinters including the likes of Angel Capital, Ninja, Gangsta Granny, and Napoleonic. We've also got racing at the Corfield Heaf Track. This race day did belong to the Mooney Valley Racing Club. It's one of those transfer meetings and it features the Travis Harrison Cup. My name is Ben Cludes. I'm joined by Nick Mugolton, Will, the Bot Alford. Will, how are you mate? Good. This week marks four years since I joined the podcast. Well, there you go. Remember the first one was a Travis Harrison Cup down. It was an absolute fill up. Should we go back and listen to your first seven podcasts? And last week you had a bit of a birthday present. You had a very good day. Four or five winners at Flames Inn including a couple at Double Figure Price. Saturday was a good day. Oh my god, how did you go to Bot Alford? The Armagard was redirected from the Rosey or Randwick or wherever. The Armagard didn't stop him. No. He didn't stop on the way to pack him. It went straight to Bot Alford. Yeah, straight to the North and suburbs. Certainly not. Come to Packet. No, no Armagard. Well done mate. You're at a great tipping weekend. My Saturday was only a fair. I finished only narrowly in front on Saturday but then I gave it back with Stern Idol on Sunday. Nico, having had a much like in recent times, Adwi. Well, I dress the elephant in the room. Yeah, yourself. Yeah, mate. Calling him fat or something. As an expert. It's also a bit of weight. As an expert. Yeah, obviously the last couple of weeks hadn't gone to a plan. Yeah, so the Armagard is going to have a bit of a spell. I'm removing myself from the podcast multi for a couple of weeks. Wow. Sometimes it just proves Ben doesn't matter what sort of leadership role you play in your team. Sometimes you've just got to put the team first. And that's what I've got to do here. I've got to be a good team player and take a step back. So probably for the next two or three weeks it'll just be a Ben and Bot multi. Yeah. You were going to take, I know the Hunters don't want to hear this, but you were going to take touch down and then you change your mind. Yeah, well, it's just a second you won. It is seconding. I didn't think we were going to have a disgusting Rosalind Rounds in run completely by a strike. Yeah, that is what it is. And then yeah, we'll touch on Sunday. Sunday definitely didn't go how I would have liked it to split. I didn't have as an official selection on radio or really on the podcast. I sort of slowly mentioned it, but he hoesed up and then on Gatiti that pulled the wrong reign there. Unfortunately, he was well supported in betting and Stern never went any good. But yeah, with that, I wasn't I was thinking about having a couple of weeks off from the podcast because. Well, me copying hate on social media is nothing out of the ordinary. I'm big enough, ugly enough to handle that, but it went one step further on Sunday. And that's more so what I want to sort of stamp out like. Yeah, that's extra step further that was taken on Sundays is completely out of line. And I think that further has proved my point that if people had to put their actual information and their licenses and legal. Ties to social media accounts that wouldn't happen because not in nine times out of a hundred these people that. A cowards behind fake profiles are not brave enough to say it behind their real name and. And that's just is what it is like it you know, it doesn't affect me in the fact that you know I'm not going to be able to. I can process that and move past it, but the next person might have different ramifications from that and that's not okay. And then the day if you don't like someone's this is not just me. This is talking for anyone in the public space whether it be racing or sport. If you don't like what they've got to say or their information that they're trying to provide and you think they've got no fucking idea. Don't take it on board. No one's putting a gun to your head or forcing you to do anything with that information. You interpret that how you feel. You need to and if you don't think this person's got any idea rather than just pile on the height and extra other stuff that goes along with it. Just finally listen to it like yeah, I don't really care if someone likes me or someone doesn't like me, but yeah, for some of the stuff that I caught post Sunday that is just completely out of line. So yeah, I was still here. I'm still tipping. But yeah, I'll just have a couple of weeks off the podcast multi and refresh before we get into spring. But I'm yeah, I just sort of wanted to touch off that off the top. So yeah, no, I'll say it, mate. Yeah, I think it's some like some weeks were a bit unlucky. Sometimes you just see when you should have tagged and I've had a couple of bad weeks and there's no one that feels that more than me like I don't like. I don't like losing and I don't like other people losing. So yeah, and I think a lot of these a lot of these social media comments should come from people that have actually followed your tips in 100% and they can't handle the and they can't handle the loss. But look 99% of the people we made out on track. I'm brilliant. 100% it's just I'm talking about a very small 1% that will never made it the track because they won't be there. And yeah, there's a there's without pumping myself up. There's probably a fact of jealousy and and whatever that we're in a position and we've built ourselves a brand that we've got a platform and they don't. So it's easy to pile on because they know the likelihood is that you know, restrictively, I'm not really going to be able to say what I would like to say or what I would rather say to them because of the space that we're in and it just becomes that it just becomes an easy pile on effect because they know that. Yeah, they get to say what they want for no responsibility. So so in summary will close this chapter, but in summary, we don't mind if you bag us or like say you say we did a shit tip whatever we can deal with that but what a 100% And it goes a step further. It goes threats in the DMs. It becomes defamatory and you're making up false rumors. That's when that that's what goes too far. And I've had some vicious rumors made up about me in recent weeks as well and I read them and I just go what on earth are you talking about but they just get the big fat block button. Will what performances impressed you last week? Where did we race? We're at Flemington. Flemington, yes, we were there. Oh shit, you've got me off guard. You've written like a whole essay on this. You've done videos on it. I know. Touchdown was very good. Yeah, no, he was he was very good. Yes, they're right. Thank you for doing that for me. No, touchdown was excellent. They didn't have the pressure the podcast. Well, he might have lost it. He did get the perfect run, but he was pretty well. Well, I think I think he could have been even better because they they went. It was it was an interesting race where they the pace to the I think the 1200 of 1000 was quite. It wasn't as slow as you know, if you go on your two 600 from 600s, it'll say the pace was slow, but if you look closer into the section also that the 1200 I think the pace was reasonable like it wasn't it wasn't fast. It was just below bench mark and then from the 12 to about the six, they just backed it right off. It was about seven or eight lengths slower than the what is typical for that great race over a mile at Flemington. So yeah, he sprinted really well. I think I think. as well that sprinting and being quick is not necessarily touchdowns go. I think he's a horse that will be much better over 2,000 meters in time. Yeah, so just sitting sprint aren't necessarily his MO and for him to put a couple of lengths into a reasonably stagnant field in that grade is really good and holy man, holy man, chocolates. Forgive. Yeah, I think she's just looking for a mile and a half now. I think I saw that they had even targets for my one cup, which might be a little bit ambitious, but at least they're conscious of the fact that she needs a mile and a half and hurry, carry out of the same race, sprinted really well first up and can be kept in the back of minds moving forward. Yeah, I'll speed it up. The Arco Frode is now on three in a row at the mile and a half. He's going to be spelled now. What races? Oh, is he? Okay. What races do you think he could come back to and possibly win later in spring? Well, I don't know. Maybe like a pack of them cup. Oh, something like that would potentially be. That's a great chair. Yeah, a pack of them cup for the Arco Frode because he's a really nice horse. I think the anniversary of the cup is here. I think it's the hundred and fifty years running or something. Yeah, right. Yeah, really nice horse. He sort of had a year off on the sidelines with injuries. He's still a four year old. It says he's five, but he's northern hemisphere bread, of course. The tick that he's handled better, better going now. He's handled both like he was a bit of a wedded at the start of the preparation, but he's been out of handle better going. So that's just going to further. What about what about Blake? She in first ride back. Yeah, that was bangs it outside lead. That was unbelievable and helps that you back to net and all that's all those sorts of things, but he just looks like he was locked back right in where he was and it was very good. But also on on on Yaku, if I'd he he's still really never seen a race run quickly. So he might be still much, much better and he's and what he's doing now is just beating this staying opposition for speed and he might be able to improve once more once he gets into a race that actually becomes a test of endurance. Yeah. Santa Barbara just went down to El Montago in the second race and cost me my roughy selection and cost me over four figures which killed. But yeah, it was the two horses that were scratched from Jolong on Friday that ran one to in this race. Yeah, she's a nice horse. She's by in good health, I think was, yeah, mum and she I think she if I'm not mistaken, she was a horse that we've got over two thousand seventeen hundred meters of core food. She was a nice horse by snitzel. You'd think she probably gets over fourteen maybe even a mile could be a thousand guinea's filly potentially. Not sure. But she yeah, she's a nice nice filly. The winners useful assume they go to the vein. I think you probably be twenty thirty to one in the vein. He's probably not good enough to win it. But he's he won well and that's that. And the other one to touch on is probably the class horse in Sassapil. She ended up starting a dollar thirty five. Would you believe it with a couple scratchings. Run Harry, run ten commandments and Dutch assou came out. She controlled the tempo of rise rise at dawn just outside her and they ran the one too clearly. Yeah, it was a good rather than great return. She won well, she controlled the race, led and did all that she needed to do. But wasn't anything we've not seen from before, it was it was a good win. But it's interesting note that she was the slowest of the six to race over the last six hundred meters. Which you know, I'm not saying it's concerned, but it could be a perceiver's maybe a concern. Maybe I don't know. Could just be a conditioning thing. Maybe that's it. And she wasn't really asked for a proper effort until she was probably at the four hundred meters was when the pace really went on. But I look, I'm from a perspective of a tour act or the sort of races that they're going ahead towards. I thought that it wasn't like I'm just going to jump out of trees to back you in everything. It was just like, okay, you've returned well, but you're not sort of you haven't improved leaps and bounds. I don't know. I could be wrong. She could improve. But I'd say from a betting perspective, I'd say very confident that I'm probably going to be betting against her next time if she, um, if there's anything capable of betting her. Yeah. And the other one was the Irish stay in the cat, which was taken out by Boone Tiam Boss at a nice price around the $13 mark. I play footy on a Saturday, but my spies in the chat told me you tip this horse as the barriers were released and a few boys in the chat weren't happy. Yeah, I didn't go on the podcast. I didn't, because I did get drifted, it was a bit, I opened $5 or thereabouts on Wednesday. We jumped 20 to one. So you had an even better day than the podcast recap would have identified. Yeah, I backed down. I backed down boss as well. Absolutely. But because I'm watching on the racing.com feed for work and it's about 30 seconds behind. So you can't be doing that. Because I just forget, like I'm just, I'm just, I'm just minding my own business and I'm just betting away. And then I took the bet and I'm pressing. What up with War Machine? He got, we went straight through the barriers. He went straight through the barriers, dropped Blake Shin. Yeah, I was a hardy mouth. And he was, he was off the map. Two minutes. Two minutes first day back. This horse has been 360 in the 260. What is that 260? I'll back to maturity. We didn't start just another way. We will never know. But the way that the market went, it looked like he was the way like you can't tell me that he's not a bit awesome. But he boomed down boss and the way the race eventually. They didn't even go to any outside. They sort of came up the middle. The way the race eventually. I think if he was there, he could have been half-fit and he's the one that he would have absolutely done. Loan them to smith them to smith them. So, you know, brother losing by a neck is already cost me a winning weekend. And if War Machine had a one, then that has cost me a winning weekend as well. Lucky he didn't back it all in. True. I was almost going to take four dollars all in. I ended up getting 380 final field. The whip protest. So, Daniel Moore has used the whip. I think twice more than he was meant to before the 100 metre mark on boomed down boss Royal Intinua runs second beaten about a neck. The protest goes on. This needs to stop. This rule needs to be changed because. Yeah, we'll just get rid of it completely because they're never going to, they're never going to uphold a protest. I think this right. I think my view on the whip. The whole whip rule, like we'll quickly revisit this. The whole whip rule is ridiculous to begin with because it's all about perception. But the last 100 metres, when everyone's watching the race, they can plug it. They can plug it. They can plug it. So, what's, who are you bowing down to here? I don't know, but I do agree with you to a large extent. I think my view on it has softened a little bit that we don't want. Jockey's just absolutely flogging the horses from the 400 and leaping them 30 times like they used to in the 70s. There's just so many holes though because you've got the same amount of strikes and a thousand metre races, you do a two-month race. But the thing is, if you run second and you're protesting, you're lodging a protest for the whip rule against first. It is never, ever going to be uphold and no one can convince me otherwise because Daniel Moore just gets in the studio room and says, the margin I gained from those couple extra strikes is unquantifiable and you can't argue with that. Yeah, I mean, it has, like this has been done to death. But some people online are saying, "Oh, one whip over should be half a length, some are saying point two of a length." Well, you know how you stop it? You financially really hurt the jockey by doing it. You find them 25,000 or 50,000. Oh, that's not going to happen. No, but I'm saying you want, you want it to stop. You give them a serious financial burden. It should be a percentage of the prize money based on what they want. Yeah, but I still don't. I think it's really 50,000. It's no different with a football. If you had harsh financial penalties, things would stop in the sport. They would stop. I can guarantee you because they would think twice about it. I don't know what they might do with one split accident, but they won't do it twice. I don't think you can just straight out disqualify the winning horse because you don't want. It's not the owner's connection. And it's also the punnets. You can't just penalise the punnets because the jockey used the whip one more time and I'll say your horse is bolted in by two lengths and they use the whip one more time. It's still the deserving winner. So you can't penalise the punter or the owners, but something's got to change in that regard. You punish them hard financially, it'll stop. Maybe it's 20% or 25% of the winnings earned by the jockey should be the fine. But yeah, it seems to be when the money's on, when the bigger prize money races is on, this sort of thing happens a lot more. So you can't tell me the jockey don't have some idea of what's going on out there. Rose Hill, the lane bias last week, but I know you don't really bet and see it near, but it was some of the worst that we've seen in recent times. And I want to get up a quick tweet by Daniel Lursullivan who Daniel is a very measured sort of person. But this is what he found out about the Rose Hill Track Parton last week and lane one. So fence in run. 17 winners versus nine and a half expected. So 7.5 winners more than expected. One on lane one. And this is from the two meetings 27th of July and the first of August and lane two plus three winners from 10.5 expected minus seven and a half. So that just shows you just how biased the rails in run position has been the last couple meetings at Rose Hill. I just wanted to point that out because there are a couple favorites that went under last week for four really popular ones. Thanks Ben for the reminder. And none of them were rails in run which I think it is worthy of forgive for some of those for sure. - I'll call on this or bounce back next time and we can. 100%. - Yeah. - Let's help the punters now, doesn't it? - The only, back on not to bring Nico's comments up earlier, but I just wanted to clarify one more thing. - It was my fault they didn't find ralsy in run. - Yeah, I know, for sure. But we've, we've, some of the social media commentary, we've been copying a bit of backlash that we are sellouts 'cause we've now signed on with the bet-tricks file. - That's what I was saying. (laughing) - However, I would, I would love to have, I would love to, I would love for us to be getting what is perceived by the punters. - I just, I just want bet-tricks file 'cause I can assure you it ain't. - I just want to clarify one thing. We are paid a weekly fee for the podcast that we put out by bet-tricks file. We have no other incentives. We don't, we don't get any money for people betting with bet-tricks file or signing up to bet-tricks file or using air promotions. - And when this bet-tricks file podcast multi gets beat, it hurts Ben and I. - It hurts. - It is, it hurts. - It hurts. And when the punters have had a good day, it usually means I've had a good day, and when the punters have had a bad day, usually it means I've had a bad day. So you've bet 800, you've either collected 1143 or 1332, so at this point in time. - So let's just average it out and say the average person's up $400. If you put $100 on it every week, and they've hit 24% of the time. So 800 spend and around $1200 on average is the return. So that is. - And we've had multi odds of between $7 to $9, $8, $16, $4, just shy of $8, just better than $7, $8 and $6. - Yep, that's winning. - So. - Last piece of news, likely MEMSY field, I just wanna quickly run through these. The first group, one of the Victorian racing season is coming up on the 29th of August. And this is some of the names that are in the likely field so far. I think there's nine of them. Mr. Brightside, Jimmy Star, she's a la by Treasure the Moment, Angel Capital, Cosmic Crusader, Buccaroo, Tom Kitten, and evaporate. So it looks a cracking race. I know some people are saying it's the race of the spring, but these early races are never the race of the spring because there's not a lot of intent with some of them. The tempos are usually a bit slow. And they're not. Let's be honest, the horses are not absolutely up their best, but it'll be a good contest nonetheless. - Yeah, it's gonna be a great race. I can't wait to back Angel Capital on those. - Yeah, don't take even money right now. She's a la by all in, just wait punters. That's just ridiculous price right now. - Hmm. - All right, let's get into this week. Corfield Heavtruck, we don't get many Saturday meetings at all will on this Corfield truck. What can you tell us about it? Where's the rail and what wind are we expecting on Saturday? - I see how the trucks have been planned. We should have more Corfield Heavt meetings. - Well, that's all so true. Rail's out three meters. There's a strong 25 to 35 kilometer normally wind going in their faces out of the shoot, which will obviously affect. It's gonna be a headwind, obviously. So leading might not be such an advantage, especially over the 1,000 to 1,200 meter races there at Corfield on Saturday. - Beautiful, and it's currently a soft six. We've had some rain tonight in Melbourne, but it does look like clear, but cool conditions over the next couple of days. It'll either be a soft five or a soft six on Saturday, I would imagine. Let's get into race number one. And what I will say about about three six five promos is it is our races one to six yet again on the Corfield Heavt truck and Ramwick, where we'll have the 25% winnings plus boost. Race one, it's 1,200 meters, and this is for the three year olds. Stakes is our four dollar favorit out from $3.80. Commit, four dollars 80. Did have some good support early days. Leopard shark 650. VALUS is $6.50 as well, and Richon Bubbles is on return at $8.50. Will, you think this second favorite can topple the favorit? Yeah, I think Commit should be favorite. Was beaten by the very exciting and Cox plate nominated American Eagle the last time it's sand down. That race rated really, really well. I think that'll be a strong form reference moving forward in the coming weeks. It's what we've already seen it. There was a fairly crown of fire it might have been. She was fourth, I think that day, and then we went up to Canterbury or something, 12, 100 meters up to 1550, and one really well there was supported. That's going to be a really good form as moving forward. I think American Eagle, out of the exposed form, we're thinking about for a Corpio Guinness perspective, now of horses that are unexposed. I'd say American Eagle might even be like one of the top seeds for the Corpio Guinness, because I think he's a really, really good disAmerican eagle. And commit was taken back from a wide barrier there. Can go forward. Sorry, can go forward here. I think it just has to be fair. I think it starts favorite. Stakes was good last time with that being great. I think commit is the rating last time was really good. And I've seen a reason why it should be fair. Beautiful, I'm happy to follow you in there. I did think Stakes was quite a good run last time after being slow away and now gets the blinkers on, but commit, that's definitely coming through a higher rating race. And it'd be interesting to see where they go. Often horse comes through as well. You used to nice horse as well. The winner and commit. Race number two, we move on. It's 1,500 meters and Saltix is our $2.50 favorite. He's over botanical boy $4.20. Stace Island 650 from Zebrafinch in half a point. Zebrafinch have a jockey, not yet. If it does run, it is on the six day backup. George get mad $12 and I've been trying $15. Nico, let's get you involved here, because you do like Saltix in this benchmark. Everything, a horse who has been brilliant last two, he just fell short to one better. Yeah, he's been a very good rich rain of form Saltix. My only sort of query on him is just deep into a preparation with pricing, Kent. A lot of their horses can sort of peel out a little bit as they get deeper in the preparation. That's my only knock, but they are very good conditioners of horses. You would have thought if the horse is turning up here on race day that he's a-ok, ready to go. He looks a fantastic bet. Should find a good position. I just thought it was a very good placement from the team. I didn't think it had to be too creative or too clever to think he was a good bet and probably close to it or even money chance. So I was sort of happy to have something on him. Beautiful. But who's your favourite Saltix player? I don't know. Jason Tatum, I can't- We did it. Unpopular opinion, but the Saltix got rid of their best player in the off season. Jason Tatum is not the best player. Well, he's the other best player on the Saltix team, but give me Jaylen Brown over Jason Tatum. I'd say Jaylen Brown. Oh, OK. Anyway, what question would you notice? Saltix, I think, is deserving of favouritism. Two really nice consecutive figures. Have I marked it? $2.60. Two really good figures at Corefield on the outer track, obviously, over 400 metres. Goes up to 1,500 metres. I sort of long thought he was better than rated at racing over sprint trips. And then I think I backed him one day. It was other at Corefield or Flemington. And then he was scratched the barriers. He was playing off a bit, so I was happy that he was scratched. But the market really pushed into him that day as well. So I think there's always been an idea that he was a little bit better than he had been. And then the last two ratings have confirmed that idea. And he'll obviously map really well just behind a good enough speed. I think he's the obvious one. A botanical boy, I think it's the second favourite, is second up. Draw is awkward, I think, for it. I think it's probably going to be midfield worse than midfield on the fence. And I'm a little bit concerned about it only second up. I think it'll improve as it gets deeper into the preparation. And another one I want to have something just something small on is Zureyn who raced while we're without cover at Flemington in a race where the pace was fast. And that was a disadvantage last week. It's on the quick backup, obviously. And I think it can quickly improve. It's a-- it used to be in the Qatar colors, the summer period. You're in a half a going out. It was a-- had run some nice figures behind the locks of Zappo and I know it's lots of horses. So if it recaps you, it's best I think it's more than capable of being competitive and aracelyce. What'd you make as every Finches win that Saniano on Sunday? I thought it was good. It was a four-horse field. But I think prices with our friends-- - 650. - 650 with our friends. I think that's just much too short. - You like not allowed to say about 365 or something? - No, just like saying our friends. - With our friends. I'm a Celtics on top. I think this will also be. - Party horse. - He couldn't have drawn better in barrier five. I'll tell you that. Lucky Nwandoff takes the reins. I think the last two ratings really do stick out. If he runs to those, he's clearly your winner. It's just a matter of whether he can hold his form. He's gonna get the beautiful map from that nice gate. And yeah, stays at the call, food 4,400. There's just so many ticks. It's just a matter of whether you can repeat the performance. I do think Botanical Boy will improve getting off a heavy track first up to better ground. But he's probably got just a little bit to find on Celtics and he might not be doing it just yet second up. Race three, we move on and this is our benchmark 100, 1,000 meter sprints. This is a very interesting race. It's got speed on speed. Cavry Girl $2.70 in favour from Buzzball Rewarded 460. Stock A is $5. Last scene winning on Oakstay. - Come at that. - Right Magniria. - Thanks. I do remember that. Beast mode $7.50, but take note punters. This horse is duel accepted in Sydney and it's got Jay Mack on in Sydney. It may go there and along the river is $9. Nico, Cavry Girl, she has had a very, very good preparation. I think you wanted to be on. Yeah, I just thought coming out of a listed race last time when she was fairly dominant over in Adelaide. I thought she brought the best form here. Maps to get a relatively good run. I don't think she's one-dimensional. She doesn't have to lead. There is a bit of a lot of speed in this race, but it is 1,000 meter race, of course, her speed. But yeah, from Barrier 5, I would hope that Linda just, if it's too frantic, she just takes a slight pull and she's in behind and yeah, I'd actually be excited to see Cavry Girl ridden that way. And yeah, I sort of thought with 53 kilos, she's going to be awfully hard to bet around the heath. Up on speed, I'll just slightly behind it. I think around that sort of $3 mark is going to be a nice wager. So yeah, I was keen to have something on. - Yeah, I think she's definitely the rightful favorite, but two horses that do peak my interest early, a stocka at $5 last time we saw this man, she was beating Ray Magnirio, albeit that horse was unlucky. Over the cup carnival, she has had 272 days off, but her two jumpouts leading into this have been awesome. She's one for one at the core field heat. She's three from four, more importantly, with Blake Sheen on board. And I think just the way this race sets up, we've the normally winning their face. - That's three from four fresh. - Yeah, and three from four fresh. With lots of go forward horses here, I think it does set up for horse who'll just be able to suck in behind that main leading division, get a little bit of cover from the wind and come down the outside. And it might be her at a decent price. She's got a carry of the 57.5, but she's earned the weight. And the other one who's worth just a small ticket on the back up is along the river. This eight-road has no upside whatsoever, but he's been a pretty good horse. His ratings are decent. And he won't know himself with 51 kilos after Ryan Houston's claim. This is a horse who, in these benchmarks, 78s and 84s, usually is carrying 61 kilos, which is what he carried. Last week, barrier eight is your concern. You probably have to concede and go back. However, I think he's worth a small play. You'll get double figures at some stage. Will? - I backed Stockade at second, ever start after it won at Mount Gambia over 900 meters. And it got beaten, obviously. - So that useless information? - Yeah, I don't know. I don't really care about this race. They're going to go really fast. I just want to long the river doing because he's a champion. - Yeah, that's definitely one of your horses. I do think if Besmode comes out, it probably helps cavalry girl more than hinders or chances. - Yeah, I've never backed along the river. Race number four, benchmark 74 for the Phillies and Meyers, Jenny Multabella is $4.60 from DeVeta in half a point to $5. High value is $6 and has been on the drift. Opened equal favorite, street luck 750 par mange or $9 in from 11 and late Vostok is 13s into 10s. This is not the top of race that I get involved in. Neither is it for Niko. What do you like? - I thought that street luck was entitled to be a little bit shorter than what it was. I actually have a favorite. Sat behind the speed at Flammington in the race that changing colors was a very good in one really well. That was a peak for street luck or just on a peak and sprinted, you know, changing colors was dynamic and like turn of foot was outstanding but street luck wasn't that far off from like a last 100 meter point of view. I thought it was entitled. It's gonna get a really great run. It's low on the way. It's DeVeta is the one that sort of makes the most sense. Out to a mile is a some sort of concern for me. But was probably quite unlucky not to win last time. It held up at a crucial stage and look, I'm not overly keen to bet in this race but if I had to have a bet in this race and I know it could still, I mean, I'm my back street luck and Katnawai was also a little bit interesting as well. So out of the same changing of the guard race, the better I noticed it's been quite well backed in the last sort of hour or two. So beautiful. So lower confidence race. Yeah, but I'll probably have something on straight luck. All right. Race four, I've benchmarked 74 over 1100 meters. High on the hill, four dollars 60 from behavior, six dollars. Next up, Iowa is six dollars. She's been pretty good this preparation. Beautiful, baby, six dollars. Main man cash 750 and Nordic Strike is $10. Yes. High on the hill is the deserved favorite. Has had 63 days without a run. Was well supported there at Flemington last time after a good win. Sorry, let me restart this. It went one really well at Moorfordville, heavily supported to do so. And then was at Corefield sort of had to switch toward the inferior going there and then the marker had to go into a really good level at Flemington last time. You could make some excuses for it as well, got a little bit keen. I think, 'cause obviously there's a really strong northerly, I think it might be able to just camp behind the speed and the three-wide running line. It's all of interest, obviously. I couldn't really play in this race at this point in time, just with the percentages. But I think I'm probably likely to maybe have something on high on the hill. Royal Lass is interesting as well. I gave custom something to catch there last time. And that race rated really well and delicate lady was a bit of a car crash of a preparation run there. It was put on heavy going over 400 meters, clearly didn't search at all, like she's a sprinter. And that was testing going, didn't work at all. Back to 1100 meters, it could significantly improve. So, yeah. A beautiful bevy, I marked six dollars. It's a nice enough chance. They went really, really fast in that race. It was won by Prince Tycoon. I think it's entitled to improve even further. So in summary, just the one bit? Or you could have two. In summary, I probably could have four bets, but. I don't know what my summary is. I could do anything on Saturday. All right. Just wait for. Who I think I just think still move is a little bit better than what the form guide might be sort of suggesting at the moment was two two starts ago made a looping run on a day where you just couldn't do it and then last start at Flemington the saddle slipped. So you know you just sort of put a line through those sorts of runs and then you just go off what the market had sort of been forecasting of him and you end up with a price that's much shorter than shorter than whatever price he is with our friends. 26 dollars. Well hopefully custom is the final leg of the podcast multi and that multi is still alive because she's my most likely winning chance that as she should just win again she's very short here but she went to a new career peak last time at wayfraid she ran to 94.6 which under this weight scale these weights carried transfers to 97.5 and if she even regresses a little bit off that she will still win this race. I think the barrier is perfect drawn in barrier six she'll be able to come probably from midfield just with a a back to follow into this into this northerly breeze and yeah I just can't really see what's going to be it. Okay um saver the dream was the one that interested me in this race I think he's been sort of a little bit uncertain it's it's it's most most recent starts have been given plenty to do and I think it can improve significantly under under Ethan Brown you know go back three back it's when it morning term was just unbelievable and then it was expect had plenty of market expectations start after at Corefield autumn heat is another one I think it's fourth emergency so you know probably probably doesn't get a stop it if it's there I think it despised the synthetic it to battle out. It was beaten well out of sight I think the ambulance almost beat at home but Damien Lane jumps aboard and this horse has some has run figures that would render it competitive in a in a race of this quality and you know what I might even back England. That look you just gave me, tells me that, you think changing colors is a little bit too short to back? - Probably, yeah, I mean, I'd love to be, I know it was amazing last time that win was just sensational and was a sign of how good I think that Lucy Yomis is as a trainer. And now Blake Schins back riding, it's gonna be a formidable combination, I think, in the coming months and over the next few years. Hopefully they stay together so we can continue back because maybe it might be a bit awkward if they separate, but they seem like a happy couple and that's all wholesome and all those sorts of things. I marked changing colors to $2.90. I think the price now is probably a little bit short. The horse that it was very, very interesting for me and probably one of the better bets on the day, outside of Boana Face and maybe the two turn three or all in the first race was Gavin Begichwood's Curlwood who was three wide first up on a heavy track at Sandown first up and you know, falter pieces, but I think there might be just a bit of improvement left in this horse and you know, this is a horse that was a listed group placed over in Ireland and Gavin's received it. The same connections as Kingswood who we pulled off a similar sort of, that was a horse. Oh God. The Armageddon track was out that day. I tell you what it was. That was an AFL Grandfond. That was AFL Grandfond. Sandown. Yeah, I wasn't concerned by the AFL Grandfond. I was doing laps around the Northern suburbs that night. I want the city to. Yes, Curlwood I'm going to be on. I think I marked it $10. Yeah, I'm on him as well. $26 currently with bet three, $65. He actually had to undergo a bet's check before the barrier is opened last time away, which is never what you want to see. So obviously he was a little bit fractious. He was slowly away. Then he sustained a very tough run off a very fast tempo on a very heavy track. You know, gets probably what's going to be a softer tempo on better ground. And hopefully there's no excuses with the vets. And he will run a much improved race. He also goes from carrying 60 kilos down to 56 and a half. And look, he's a horse. You got to take on trust, but he's worth a speck at that price. Changing colors is no doubt my on top of though. $2.50, he get $2.75 with the bet boost. She was awesome last time around. Fully lit loves to be up there on speed, but he's probably more and more and more 1400 meters horse. Does he have the speed to sit right there at 12? I'm not sure. Midnight dynamite is there on speed. Gangster granny gets, she's your map horse from Barrier 1. She just gets that perfect run. Andrew Kapital's never fast away. He'll be in the second half of the field somewhere back along the fence you'd think from Barrier 3 or maybe just off it. And then Ninja and Napoleonx, they're drawing in 7 and 6. That's going to be interesting where they settle. Napoleonx probably has to concede and go back, whereas Ninja, he does have some tactical versatility, but I think first up, maybe they're just, they're happy just landing midfield. Yeah, well, two pairs back, one off the fence. Looks a good spot in a race that's going to have a good lick of speed, I thought. I thought this was the race that I was keen to bet into. I've never been an angel, capital fan. I think he's a fraud. Yeah, there's far too much hype on this horse for what he's delivered on the racetrack. So when I saw him favorite, it was more than happy to take him on. He hasn't exactly wailed me with his runs in Sydney. Not to say that he's really wailed me in Melbourne, but he's definitely race better in Melbourne than he has in Sydney. And I just think it was an easy race to wager in. I thought Ninja is on top for me. I took $4 for him. His trial was enormous last week. He's just a very progressive horse that I think we're going to see the best version of this campaign. And I think Gangs to Granny is the main danger. And I've had a saver on her at $4. I was quite happy to have a good bet on Ninja, saver on Gangs to Granny, and put myself in a good position. So the way I've been going, Angel Capital probably wins by 4. I thought this was a good race just to take Angel Capital on. When he's favorite, I think you're entitled to get heavily involved and heavily involved I have. All right. I've got Angel Capital on top. I would love a price that is closer to $3. This horse is the flies first up. Five starts first up. He's won four of them. The only blemish was last preparation against Jolly Star and Cabalus where he just he did everything wrong before the race. He got fractures behind the barriers. He missed the start. He got sweaty in the mountain yard. That is the risk with the horse like this, who is still a cult or still a horse as they put it. But I think there's got to be a little bit of intent here for Angel Capital from a fitness perspective because he is a stallion prospect. He doesn't have that group one on the CV yet. So he should be pretty well fit to go here for a missile stage and then go straight to a MEMSY second up where you want to be fit and meeting Shea's a alibi. Who might not be slightly at her best. So barrier three, I think Jamie McLeod want to be closer than this horse has settled in the past. He's probably still going to be at best. I don't know if he's able to. I don't know if he's able to either. He might still be at the back. He might still be last. At best, I think he's three pairs back. And there's nothing to say that he's going to be tractable during the ACVIs in position further forward. He could be brave and pull it and carry it on like. First up last preparation, he did pull a lot. However, that was with Zach Lloyd in the saddle. And I know Zach is still a fantastic jockey but he's not quite James McDonald. And the hope is that Jamie can get this horse to go first up. And I think he's a good bet considering he's around nearly the $3 mark. He started $2.90 against Jolly Star and Cabalus last prep. So if you can put it all together, he's the best horse in the race. I've got him on top. I'm scared stiff of gangster granny. She maps well and ninja.
