Ministry Defiant way of Cain, Error of Balaam & the Gainsaying of Kora in Ministry

Dr. Obed addresses controversy sparked by his earlier teaching on ministry, church authority, and consecration. He answers questions from listeners who argue that God can call people without a church, citing Moses, Jesus, and the biblical prophets. Dr. Obed insists that while God calls individuals privately, He always uses human authority to confirm and separate them publicly. He traces this pattern from Cain and Abel to Moses, Aaron, the Levites, Samuel, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul, and Timothy. He warns against three errors: the way of Cain, which produces fugitives and vagabonds; the greed of Balaam, which pursues reward; and the gainsaying of Korah, which rebels against God-given authority. He argues that the church is God's ordained institution for governance, covering, and endorsement. He distinguishes between calling and sending, saying no one should enter ministry without recognition, laying on of hands, and fellowship. He also rejects the idea that social media alone constitutes a church, noting the absence of organized community, member care, and accountability. He urges those who left churches due to location or dismissal to seek proper recommendation and remain under apostolic governance, warning that unrecognized ministry is not known in heaven.

Speaker 2Thank you, Holy Spirit. Now we have the opportunity to engage in the fellowship of prayer. Constantly. Instead, our spirits edify, our minds emboldened, our bodies overwhelmed with your eternal presence. This morning, we thank you that you grant us the opportunity to come boldly before your throne of grace, to petition, to fellowship. And I pray for everybody who is connected with this platform this morning. I ask you, O God, that regardless of your. locations and time, you will cause the words that your servants speak to be a blessing this day in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Heavenly Father. This morning, I want to lay a plumb line to what I started off. I realize that I have said a lot of. social media waters by the sensitivity of the things that I said last week. For certain people, it didn't sit down well with them because I don't know whether it is in the fact that they didn't listen to the thread of everything that I've been saying, but once there are questions that have come up, I would make time, to address them and to answer them. And I do not find it necessary to proceed with the line of what I was ministering under the revelation of our destiny and our ministries with reference to guardian angels and ministering spirits. It was brought to my attention a couple of questions that have come in. Others have been all an overthrow of the things that I thought, but I think that I should make time of. this morning to settle the scores. And for that reason, I would want to go through some of the questions that have come. So somebody is asking, man of God, this is coming from one Ahmed Salim Zagun. We cherish your comments. I think he is Prophet Arius Ahmed Salim Zagun. He goes by that name, actually. He says, man of God, so in which church was Moses, Jesus, and all the biblical prophets called to minister? And who endorsed them? If you can't be called and be a minister outside of the church? That's a very interesting question for me. And I'm going to answer Prophet Arius right away by the teachings that I'll be doing this morning. Someone else who is called the anointed vessel comes up and says, I strongly disagree with you. Most of the churches are killing the work of the kingdom with selfishness and greed. They are scattering the flock than being the shepherds of the flocks. Some of us operate in ministry with a real encounter with blah, blah, blah. So he's talking about the fact that he's had a real encounter, and he doesn't need the church. And that the church is killing the work of the kingdom. I'm hearing this, and I'm wondering what exactly he's saying. But by the time we're done, we're done. By the time we're done, I'm so sure that the anointed vessel will be settled, and then Prophet Arius Ahmed Salim Zagoon would also be settled. Now, he comes back. Prophet Arius says, please come back again, because this one we mislead a lot. So I would come back. That's why I'm here. I'm here for a comeback. Because if you're saying it is a church that can call someone to be a pastor, that's not what I said. That means that you didn't follow. And today, I'm going to lay the problem. I'm going to lay the problem line. Prophetic to ministry, then how do you mean when-- where do you place God's calling over the church? Calling who is supreme, blah, blah, blah. So he says, so are you saying ministry work is now called, chosen by men and not God? Humans or a pastor say, I'm not called, so it's over. With God's decree? Interesting. Then another justice in Tiamat says, what of one who finished Bible school and they haven't ordained him or something or her? Or they ordained or they ordered him or her? I don't know what he's trying to say. I think that he wants to say that what of somebody who finished Bible school and has not been ordained? OK, very interesting questions. Then one prophetess, Anna, also comes in to say, we are the church. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. That's called team scripture without application and not even in context. Romans 11:29, he's not talking about what you're thinking, my dear prophetess Anna. Man has not called you, therefore they can't cancel your calling. Oh, Jesus. Oh, Jesus. Oh, Jesus. Hell, the church, Lord. This is highly unbiblical and manipulative, I hear. The word of God would fix us up today. Then another Reverend Manuel Ampedu comes in to say, this scripture is most dangerous scripture I've ever come across, Matthew 18:18. But say, what if you left, not because you were sacked, but due to location and due to that you forfeited your duties in your former church? Mm-hmm. That's a very interesting situation. OK. It's pathetic to me that it's prophets and ministers that actually had a problem with the things that I was seeing. But I want to explain them, justify them. And I would want the floor director to forget about time, because I'm dealing with a very important subject. So just allow me to pull this off. I'm going to push everything to the farthest extent. Even if it means I should talk from now to 12:00 PM. Just keep me talking. Somebody say, are you going to be talking from now to 12:00? Then we're leaving. Bye-bye, Pastor Owen. No, no, no. I'm just trying to let him stay off the timer today, because this is very, very important to me. All right. He that hath ear in the church, let him hear what the Spirit is saying. To the church. Even to his churches. In the book of Genesis, the chapter 4, the verse 12 to the verse 14, that was the first time we had a priest who went wayward. Not following the biblical pattern, or well said, the ordained pattern of God. His name was Cain. And a lot of people do not know that Cain was a priest. Why? Because Abel was a priest and a prophet. And Cain was also a priest and a prophet. The Bible says that you have killed all the sent ones, all the messengers that were sent to you. All the way from righteous Abel, he speaks about it. Now, if Abel was a prophet, how then do we justify that Cain too was a prophet and a priest? Because priests offer sacrifices. Priests offer sacrifices. According to the word of God, Abel and Cain went to offer sacrifice to God. Once a person stands to offer sacrifice to God, the person comes into a place known in Scripture as a priest. I'm not going to bore you with all details to prove that Cain was a priest. But the Garden of Eden was actually a temple and a sanctuary. In the process of time, it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the festlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. So we're already in Genesis chapter 4. Don't forget. But unto Cain and to his offering, he had no respect. And Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell. And everybody knows that this led to the death of Abel. We are in Genesis 4. Now, about the time Cain killed his brother Abel, in the verse 12, the Bible says, when thou, let's start from verse 10. He says, and he said, what hast thou done? The voice of your brother's blood cried unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thine hand. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength. A fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. 13, and Cain said unto the Lord, my punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth. And from thy face shall I behead. And I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth. And it shall come to pass that everyone that findeth me shall slay me. Very pathetic story. But what do we make of it? This portion of scripture initiates the ordinance. This is of the priesthood. The word of God says in the book of Jude that the ministry is very sensitive. He mentions Korah, who was a priest. He mentions Cain, who was also a priest. And he mentions Balaam, who was a prophet. The word of God says that there are some people that have gone in the way of Cain. Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain. They ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward. And perished in the game. What is the saying of Korah? What are the three things that the Bible says we should be afraid of? Woe unto them. Number one. Anybody that goes in the way of Cain is somebody who is referred to in ministry as a fugitive and a vagabond. Who is a vagabond? A vagabond is. A vagabond is somebody who is not staying under the authorities and powers ordained by God. For all authority is of God. I want to say this again. All authority is of God. Before we even look at the church, I'm dealing with fundamentals. I really want to handle this and save a young man or a young woman. Or a certain prophet who has gone in the way of Cain. A certain evangelist who has gone in the way of Cain. A certain apostle who has gone in the way of Cain. God is the one that sets up authority. And I am praying that you people are seriously listening to me. He says, let every soul be subject. There is not one soul that is exempted. Unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God. The powers that be are ordained of God. Can we read this? In the Amplified Bible. Romans 13, the verse number one. Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God. Granted by his permission and sanction. And those which exist have been put in place by God. With this in the background, I want you to understand the three things that lead to men losing their God-ordained ministry. They never want to stay in order. They want to do their own thing like Cain. God has his protocol. But they think they can offer God what they think best of themselves to give to God. Ministry is not defined by men. What God has requested is what a man should bring him. Not what a man thinks befits God. Cain knew that the priesthood demanded first of all in the outer courts a slain lamb. Because that is where they were. You did not bring to God the harvest of the fruits of your land when you had not. Offered blood. Actually, the Bible says that God had no respect for his offering. There are lots of people who are in the ministry doing the work of the ministry and they don't know that God has no respect for what they are doing. Listen. Jesus said, a man can cast out devils. A man can prophesy. A man can do many wonderful works. And the Bible says he will say unto them, I knew thee not. This is the reason why if you want to embark on the vocation of ministry, it is important that you sit down and look through the scripture and the spirit role. This is why God's ordained pattern. If you're a prophet and the things that I'm about to teach today, you're an apostle, you're a pastor, you're an evangelist, you're a teacher of the gospel. And the things that I'm about to teach today, you find that you are wanting in one of them. Just know that you have gone in the way of Cain. Because many too have gone in that way of Cain. Many too have gone in that way of Cain. Because of greed for reward. They realize they want to be in control of their own resources, control their own money, control how much comes into their hands and how much they give out. So because of greed, many have also lost their God-ordained path of ministry and they have gone ministering like Balaam, speaking the words of God and they have gone ministering like Balaam, and they have gone ministering like Balaam, not because of God's intents, but because of their personal greed for reward. Then three, honor. Many have also gone in their own way after they gained sayings of Korah. They said things to gain honor for themselves. Then they begin to say things to gain honor for themselves. Then they begin to gaslight the ministries that they are under and misrepresent it and claim that Moses and Aaron, you've taken too much on yourself. We are all God's people. We can all do the ministry. The ministry is not for Aaron. The ministry is not only for Moses. We are also here. And yet, God had defined the portion of the ministry where they were supposed to be concerned with. And in your minds, they think whatever Aaron and Moses are into, why don't they share it so that we all do it? Why must Moses and Aaron take so much on themselves? The gain sayings of Korah. Whenever you want to judge ministry, please, the Bible says, Korah was one of the famous apostles. men in the congregation of Israel he said Korah was one of the famous in the congregation famous in the congregation and the Rosa before Moses let's start from 16 verse 1 now Korah the son of the son of Kohath the son of Levi and Dayton and Abiram the sons of Eliab and on the son of Pellet sons of Reuben they took men and they rose up before Moses with certain of the children of Israel 250 princes of the assembly famous in the congregation men of renown please I want you man of God please slow down there is a canker that eats ministers of the gospel especially young ministers fame money honor and then your own self self propounded protocol of ministry you might have come into a place a place of great renown and so you think that you don't need to stay under order and protocol you have become famous everybody knows you everybody is calling you and for that matter you don't want to stay under order and the divine governance that God by his wisdom has instituted called the church keep following the bible says Korah he didn't gather mean men he went about knowing what he wanted to do he looked for famous in the congregation men of renown to consecrate you for the work that you have been assigned to do by way of separation do you know that John the Baptist was not the first to wash and to cleanse people the only problem the Pharisees had with him was that he was doing this cleansing not in the temple but in the wilderness because when you read the old testament before a person came into the priesthood from Aaron all the way they all had to be washed in the brazen sea known as the lava this washing was what John the Baptist was undertaking introducing men into the kingdom of God as priests because God had already said I will make you a kingdom of priests Jesus walks in and Jesus said allow it to be so now we move from the sovereign private calling and we go to the next one which is that exact consecration that a person must experience so in Luke chapter 2 25-38 you can pen these down 46-49 we see Mark 3 14-17 there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon the same was a just and devout man waiting for the consolation of Israel the Holy Ghost was upon him he came with a message of prophecy we're going all the way to the verse 38 please and it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ and he came by the spirit into the temple and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him after the custom of the law then took him up in his arms and blessed God and said Lord now let me see you in the temple let us now thy servant depart in peace according to thy word for my eyes have seen thy salvation with thou hast prepared before the face of all people and to lighten a light for the Gentiles and the glory of thy people Israel and Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him and Simeon blessed him and said unto Mary his mother behold this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel and for a sign which I'll be spoken against yea a source appears through your own soul also that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed and there was one Anna also a prophetess the daughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Asher she was of a great age and had lived with her husband seven years from her virginity and she was a widow of about four and four years who departed not from the temple but served God with fastings and prayers night and day she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord and spoke of him to all them that look for redemption in Jerusalem now finally you know that in the book of John the chapter 1 the verse 29 41 and the verse 49 Bible says Jesus Christ now meets John the next day John see Jesus coming unto him and said somebody must point you out behold the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world this is he of whom I said after me cometh a man which is preferred before me for he was before me he first findeth his own brother no let's keep going 31 31 John 1 31 and I knew him not but that he should be made manifest to Israel therefore am I come baptizing with water and I knew him not this Jesus must be made manifest and John bear record saying I saw the spirit descending from heaven like a dove and it abode upon him and I knew him not but he that sent me to baptize with water the same said unto me upon whom thou shalt see the spirit descending and remaining on him the same is he who baptized with the Holy Ghost and I saw and bear record that this is the Son of God oh Jesus knew that he was the Son of God but then John the Baptist has to make a public declaration consecration of Jesus and again the next day after John stood and two of his disciples looking upon Jesus as he walked he said behold the Lamb of God I know you are a prophet and I know you have had encounters and I know that God has said wonderful things about you but say I beg to say this you need a man to point you out you need authority figures to point you out anybody who claims he doesn't need anybody to point him out there is no such tradition in the whole of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation there is not one man who was sent in the way of the ministry that had no body on earth pointing him out not even the Son of God Jesus the moment I show you the pattern with Jesus and we now move from Jesus into the Old Testament I begin to show you Eli I begin to show you Samuel I begin to show you men of God right from Moses Aaron and the Levites then now you begin to see the counter ministers that came in to fight them to displace them that moment you should understand that we are dealing with eternal protocol of the kingdom of God God will call you privately but you will need a man to acknowledge that calling of God on your life publicly you might say you don't need anybody I say to your face you have gone in the way of Cain you have run after the greed of Balaam for reward and you are in the gainsayings of Korah and the Bible says he perished many beautiful potentials of ministry have lost their pattern have lost their luster they've lost their ministry because they did not apply themselves to the protocol of God concerning the church concerning the temple concerning consecration in 2 Corinthians 13 the verse number 1 the Bible says 2 Corinthians 13 the verse number 1 this is the third time I'm coming to you it has to be in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established the word of God is never without a word witness. God himself, he never left himself without a witness. In heaven, there are three witnesses. On earth, there are three witnesses. The word of God that he speaks to you without a witness, my brother, you didn't hear from God because God, he never speaks without a witness. The Bible says, nevertheless, he left not himself without witness in that he did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. And with these sayings, scarce restrained the people that they had not done sacrifice unto them. God never leaves himself without a witness. It has been the pattern of God right from the Old Testament. Down to the New Testament, there is nobody who was called of God and God and known and had no body or no man to witness and to substantiate and to append and recommend. Paul says, you are our letters of recommendation. Who is recommending your ministry? Who will stand and affirm your ministry? Who will be the voice that comes in as a second and third witness to God? Do we begin again to commend ourselves? No. Need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? It is important, you are epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. No body, people, no body, stepped out into the ministry without the right hand of fellowship, without the perception of the grace of God that was upon them. Galatians 2:9, "And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace of God that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go unto the hidden, and they unto the circumcision." We see this pattern with Paul and Barnabas. We see the same pattern with the apostles. We see the pattern with Jesus. The Bible says in Mark 3:14 that Jesus Christ, he called the apostles that they should be with him, that he might send them forth to preach. Jesus didn't call the apostles, "I've called you, go and preach." No. He called the apostles that they might be with him, that he should send them. He didn't call them to send them. He ordained twelve that they should be with him, that he might send them forth to preach. Your calling is not the same as your sending. Please don't confuse the two. In 1 Timothy 4:14, Timothy needed the laying on of hands. In Acts 9:17, 13:2, and 3, Paul needed the laying on of hands. In Acts 6:6, Sevin Dickens needed the laying on of hands. Numbers 8:5-14, Aaron and the Levites needed the laying on of hands. Moses himself needed the laying on of hands. Do you realize that the key, somebody says, the key was given to Peter. Okay, Matthew 18. Whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven. Whatever we lose on earth is lose in heaven. Matthew 18. Verse 18. Matthew 18. Let's start from the verse 16. Matthew 18, 16 to 18. But if you will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more. That in the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established. And if you shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church. Because the church is also a witness. But if you neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an hidden. As an hidden man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatsoever you shall lose on earth shall be lose in heaven. The authority of the church. The governing authorities were established by God. God established the church. And the church, being universal, is made up of the churches in their various location. There is no body on earth who does not belong to a church in a location. No, you see me, I belong to the body of Christ. I'm not a member of any church. You are confused. There is nothing like that. Being a member of the body of Christ, you must be located. Located in a church in a certain location, geographic location. If you are not a part of a church in a geographic location, all the seizing of the things that you are doing, it is called waste, unrecorded. You are wasting your time. Somebody says, I don't belong to any church. I'm a freelance preacher. All your preaching is non-scoring. There's nothing in the body of Christ like that. There are churches of God in Christ and in locations. They are not hanging in the air. Where you meet people in their spirit, there's nothing like that. People may now claim it's being manipulative. Listen, God who instituted a church has his protocol. The churches of God. The churches of God. The churches of God. They are in locations, my brother. The churches of God are not hanging in the sky and they are not meeting in heaven. They are meeting here on earth. The churches of God. The churches of God. They are not meeting in the sky, so they meet on earth. So, if you are asked, where do you fellowship? Where do you fellowship? We are not talking about you as a member of the body of Christ. The word of God speaks concerning Jotrephus. Who wants to have the preeminence amongst them? He does not receive their brethren. You must have a local church where you fellowship with their brethren. With a name and an address. If you are not fellowshipping with their brethren, if you are not a part of, if you are not a part of a systemized church. My brother, my sister, without blinking, eyes open wide, you are a fugitive and a vagabond. You have gone in the way of Cain. You have run greedily after the error of Balaam. And the things that you are saying to defend yourself, they are referred to as the game sayings of Korah. I wrote on to the church, but Jotrephus, you see it, I told you, Anna, who always wants to have the preeminence, will not receive their brethren. Jotrephus, Jotrephus, a generation of people who never want to be in order. Nobody laid hands on them. Nobody consecrated them. They have no fathers. They have no mothers. They have no parents in the Lord. They are of themselves. I wrote on to the church, but Jotrephus, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Why? Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, pratting against us with malicious words, and not contend therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbid them that would, and casteth them out of the church. He doesn't want to be a part of the church. He doesn't want to be in any form of fellowship with the brethren. Just want to give you one more scripture before I end. I still have so much more to say. 1 Corinthians 11. I want us to read verse 16. I want us to read verse 14. And then finally, 1 Thessalonians 2, the verse 14. I want to take it one after the other. If any man seem to be contentious, we don't have any sad custom, neither the churches of God. But if any man seem to be contentious, we don't have any sad custom, neither the churches of God. No, no, no, no. It's not like that. God has called me. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Now, no, there's nothing like that. We are the body of Christ. We are the church. I'm asking you, meeting where? You are the church. Meeting where? Where do you meet? Are we in denial that the church is the body of Christ? No. But the body of Christ has meeting places where they meet. Now, look at this. Let me establish it this way. 1 Thessalonians 2.14. For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God, which in Judea are in Christ Jesus. Did you see location? Did you see early location? And did you see divine location? Yes, the body of Christ. I understand, divine. But where do you meet on earth? We want to know your location. You meet on social media, and you say you are a church. Social media. You have started a church on social media, and you call it a church. Please, there is no such thing. Forget it. It's just vagabonds and fugitives. There is no such thing. Forget it. What you are doing, you are not staying under protocol. My heart aches and breaks for you. You have no enlistment in the church. Do you think that the church, somebody says that, why do I say social media is no church? Because in social media, you don't have any widows list. Listen, there is a protocol of the church. In social media, you don't have any means by which you are taking care of orphans and children. In social media, you are not taking a record of the people's attendance and how they are growing. The way you are running the ministry, claiming that, oh, let's meet on social, there is nothing wrong with social media meetings. Of course, as I'm preaching now, somebody is getting blessed on social media. But that is not church. You cannot say you go to church on social media. No. It has to be a recognized community. Whether it is online or in person, it has to be an organized community. Under the protocol of apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists who are working the fields of souls for your edification and not for your destruction. Okay, let's remove the Judea. They would have had. You became followers of the churches of God in Christ Jesus. The churches of God that are in Christ Jesus have their location. There is the churches of God which in Judea are in Christ Jesus. For you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews. Is there any challenge to the fact that you have been called by God? Listen to the way Paul points out. Paul says that Romans chapter one, the verse number one, that God has separated me unto the gospel of God. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated me. Separated unto the gospel of God. I'm a called apostle. Who separated you? Have you forgotten that the Holy Ghost said, separate unto me Paul and Barnabas, whom I have called. So you've been called. But who separated you? No, me, I don't need anybody to separate me. I was separated from my mother's womb. Wonderful. That's true. Paul says that he was separated from his mother's womb. But that separation is not earthly. It's not here. On this earth, man must separate you for the work which you were called in your mother's womb. Oh, me, I was ordained in my mother's womb. Jeremiah, I know. I know that you were ordained in your mother's womb. Because you have forgotten that your mother's womb is a world on its own. And that you move from there. From that realm into this realm to come and continue your work here. And you are going to carry on with that work after here. You walk through various callings. And in various realms, you need to be separated. Here on earth, your calling didn't start from here. You were called way before. Even the foundation of this age. But you need somebody to separate you. Somebody to acknowledge. And perceive the grace of God upon you. Somebody who lays hands on you. No, no, no, no, no. There are no hands that can come upon me. All hands are smaller than my calling. There is no hand that can come upon me. I know you have a bigger calling like Jesus. Which is far greater than John the Baptist. But listen. Hands coming upon you. That's not me. You are less. That is a mistake a lot of people make. If hands are laid on you. It does not mean you are less. The laying on of hands. Is not the means of blessing. Is your consecration publicly. To be received by a community of believers. God has established a church with authority. I say it again. To bind and to lose. If you don't get this matter right. You will end up abusing people. In Acts chapter 6. The verse number 6. The church. He said. Whom they said before the apostles. And when they had prayed. They laid their hands on them. Let's start from verse 5. Acts 6. And the same pleased the whole multitude. They chose Stephen. A man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost. Philip Prochorus. Hecannot, Timon, Promenas, Nicolas. A proselyte of Antioch. I said ordination and consecration services. Are not to be joked with. God is the one that has said this. And please. It is not just apostolic order of the New Testament church. It has been from time immemorial. Numbers 8. The verse 5. To the verse 14. I should be. Rounding up soon. And the Lord spake unto Moses saying. Take the Levites from among the children of Israel. And cleanse them. Remember that this Moses himself. Needed the schools of Egypt. He needed his father-in-law. In the land of Midian. Jethro. Nobody is an island in the ministry. You can't come from the cemetery. And claim that you are in a. You've been sent by God. No. There's nothing like that. And that shall thou do unto them. To cleanse them. Sprinkle water of purifying upon them. And let them shave all their flesh. And let them wash their clothes. And so make themselves clean. Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering. Even fine flour mingled with oil. And another bullock shall thou take for a sin offering. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the terminacle of the congregation. And thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children. Of Israel together. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord. Ah. And the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites. And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord. For an offering of the children of Israel. That they may execute the service of the Lord. And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks. And thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering. And the other for a pen offering unto the Lord. To make an atonement for the Levites. And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons. And offer them for an offering unto the Lord. 14. Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel. And the Levites. He didn't say they are mine. They shall be mine. They shall be mine. I thought that they were his. He's talking about the second witness. That appends the authority of God on the Levites. So that now they can stand in the office to do the service of the Lord. And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. And thou shalt cleanse them and offer them for an offering. Now I'm asking you a question. Who separated you to do the work of the ministry that you are doing? Who separated you to start that church that you have started? Who separated you to do the work of the ministry that you have started? Who separated you to start that prayer meeting that you are having? Who laid hands on you? Who perceived that you have grace to do the work that you are doing? Time will tell. Not only on earth but also in heaven. Any work that you are doing. Unrecognized by a man and by men here on earth. Is not known in heaven. Brother stop what you are doing. You have gone in the gainsayings of Korah. You have run after the greedy reward of Balaam. And hear me. Fugitives and vagabonds. I don't mean to say things that will hurt you. I mean to bring you light and life that will cause you to restructure. It's so essential. Now let's see. Here are the questions that came. And I hope strongly that about this time. Any sad questions have been settled. Let's take the first one. Man of God. So in which church was Moses? I've shown you the church in which Moses was already. How? He schooled. And that Jethro, the priest. God took him into 40 years of preparation. Because he had an assignment of 40 years. Number two. Which church was he? He was in the church that was in the wilderness. So Moses was under training with Jethro. Taking care of his father-in-law's flock. Training. Because he was going to lead the flock of God through the wilderness for 40 years. He had to be under Jethro. And now had to stay in the church with the people in the wilderness. God approves men. And men receives the men God approves. Jesus. He said. And so in which church was Moses? Which church was Jesus? Jesus. I think you understand it now. Jesus had to be pointed out by John the Baptist. If you do not understand the church as the present authority. Given by God to exercise divine governance. Then you may now begin to wonder. And ask such questions. But get this. And all the biblical prophets called to minister. Who endorsed them? Are you asking for letters of recommendation now? Can you not see. That everyone was endorsed. By a superior. In 1 Samuel 3 the verse number 8. The Bible says. Samuel. He ministered before the Lord. But it was before Eli. 1 Samuel 3 the verse number 8. And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said. Where am I? For thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child. You need somebody who is perceiving the grace of God upon you. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel. Go and lie down. It shall be if he called thee that thou shalt say speak Lord. For thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the Lord came and stood and called at other times. Samuel. Samuel. Then Samuel answered. Speak for thy servant heareth. And the Lord said to Samuel. Behold I will do a thing in Israel. And with both the ears of everyone that heareth it shall tingle. In that day. Now let's get the scripture where it says. Samuel ministered before the Lord. And was before Eli. Quickly. Now we go. Second question. I think that based on all that we've done. I strongly disagree with you. Most of the churches are killing the work of the kingdom. Not all the churches brother. Because the church is there to establish the kingdom of God. Are killing the work of the kingdom with selfishness and greed. No. No. No. No. No. Those who are killing the world, work with selfishness and greed are those who never want to stay under governance and order they have gone after the way of balam they have run after the they have gone the way of king run after the gainsayings run after the reward of balam and then after they perish in the gainsayings of korah so please never say that most of the churches are killing the work of the kingdom of god with selfishness and greed i don't think that all the churches are doing that thank god you said most you are scattering the flock no the bible said that the holy ghost has made us overseers and so we should watch over the flock of god and take it to ourselves that flock was purchased by the blood of jesus christ the flock of god is geographic it's not only the blood of jesus christ it's not only the blood of jesus christ it's not only the blood of the blood of jesus christ the flock of god is geographic it's not only the blood of jesus christ divine in christ so the bible talks about the churches of god in judea in christ jesus so there is a church the assembly they must have a location judea and they must be divine christ-centered once you have this then the authority to establish governance is given to the church then he says here again they are scattering the flock than being the shepherds of the flock that's some wrong church somewhere some of the some of us operate in ministry with real encounter the encounter is not enough you can have you can even have jesus himself show up on the road to damascus you will need an ananias of course yes you need an ananias you need you need um um paul you you sorry you need sephus you need james you need john to perceive the grace of god that's upon you whatever your encounter is even jesus he's encountering jesus he's encountering jesus he's encountering jesus the encounter was not enough he needed john he needed simeon he needed anna with all the encounters of gabriel that he gave mary rather jesus needed to be acknowledged amongst the doctors of the law when he was 12 there's nothing like have an encounter then you run and go away just vagabonds that that language is a language of fugitives and vagabonds so please don't don't become somebody that takes the honor to yourself this honor taken no man unto himself all right then we go again there's the next one he said please come back again because this one may may mislead a lot no what you rather think you'll be misled it is not we misleading others the church is an authority that must be given its due honor because if you are saying this is a church that can call someone i didn't say the church can call someone i said the church can call someone i said the church can call someone i said the church can call someone i said the church can separate someone it is god that calls people into the ministry the church separates you to the calling that god had called you so please make sure that you listen well and i believe that all that i have done so far is settling you enough dear prophet then he says what of paul the same person who taught you about the new creation i think that you have seen paul so he said so are you saying ministry work is now called chosen by men and not god no i'm saying ministry work is called of god separated by men in that system to be received that authority which is called the church the church governance was established by god and every authority has been said by god whosoever fights our authority fights god and not the church a lot of people don't know that when you are fighting the church you are fighting god paul picked up letters to go and destroy the church jesus met him and said that it is dangerous why because he said you are touching me he didn't say that you are touching the church he said why are you persecuting me he didn't say why are you persecuting the church because the church and jesus is one and please don't say um there's a body of christ remember i've told you the churches of god one are divine two are geographic three are in christ jesus let's carry on so are you saying ministry work is now called god um called chosen by men and not god so if god called me and humans or pastors say i'm not called it is over no if god calls you he will place the grace on you and it will be perceived by men who are spiritual it's not human beings we are not talking about humans we are talking about authorities in the church that are sensitive to see the grace of god on your life what if one finished bible school and they didn't ordain him please and bible school is not a calling if you bible school is part of your training just like moses went to the schools of egypt so that is it if you have been if your bible school now determines that it's the means of your separation from god it's not the means of your separation from god it's the means of your separation and based on that they are going to give you covering that's fine what okay so i think that we've been able to we are the church okay prophetess and we are the church the gifts and calling of god are without repentance nobody is denying that dear prophetess anna man has not called you nobody's saying that man called his god who called you man has not called you therefore they can't cancel your calling you don't know man will cancel your calling you'll be shocked man man will cancel your calling you'll be shocked man will cancel your calling it will shock you why do you think paul had to go into acts 15 to meet with that council in jerusalem one letter will silence you i remember a certain man of god thought that he could run and do his own thing and then a pastor of a church needing a recommendation from me come and see the things i said about that man i said oh this man is very godly he'll be of a blessing to you and he will prosper your people in the soul he'll bring prosperity to them in the soul then another time another man of god called me i said that man is a very wicked man if you allow him to stand in your puppets you defile it don't receive don't give him right to you don't give him right to you don't give him right to you hand of fellowship at all point the left hand to him for him to get out he will destroy your work it's a man of god pastor but once you have said this i am canceling the appointment right away instant everything ended be there and be saying that no man can cancel your calling all right i think that but say what if you left not because of your calling because you were sacked that is a very unfortunate thing you were sacked out of a church your name too has been sacked from the heavens that concerning your ministry you have not been sacked from heaven your name has been sacked from the heavens that you are no more in ministry once you are sacked that's what happens but due to location you have forfeited your duties in your former church then you should go and discuss with your pastor to bless you so that with a letter of recommendation you can go to the church and you can go to the church and you can go to the church another ministry that he recommends for you to go and serve there or he now acknowledges that his covering is still over you though you are not in that location and if you have to start a ministry an arm of that ministry then you can start that ministry and when we are talking about arms you are only talking about church branches it can be something that is not under the very name but still under apostolic governance maybe god willing we'll have to come back and talk about apostolic governance of the church throughout the world throughout nations and throughout locations in reference to the heavenly

Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Dr. Obed responds to online questions about whether ministers need a church structure, using the biblical examples of Moses, Jesus, and the prophets.
  2. He argues that while God calls people privately, the church or its authority figures must publicly recognize, separate, and endorse that calling.
  3. He introduces three negative biblical models—Cain, Balaam, and Korah—to warn against ministry outside divine order.
  4. Cain represents a fugitive and vagabond priest who offered his own way rather than God's prescribed sacrifice.
  5. Balaam represents greed for reward, and Korah represents rebellion against God-given authority through gainsaying.
  6. Jesus, Paul, Timothy, and the Levites all needed human witnesses, laying on of hands, and public consecration for ministry.
  7. Social media alone cannot be considered a church because it lacks organized community, accountability, and care for widows, orphans, and members.
  8. The church is both divine and geographic, made up of local assemblies under apostolic, prophetic, pastoral, teaching, and evangelistic governance.

Summary:

FAQs

The teaching emphasizes that while God calls people to ministry, they must be recognized, trained, and commissioned by the church through proper authority and protocol.

Moses was trained under Jethro and led the church in the wilderness; Jesus was affirmed by John the Baptist and others; all biblical prophets were endorsed by a superior or community.

No, he teaches that every believer and minister must be part of a local church under apostolic governance, not operating independently or only online.

These refer to three dangers in ministry: rejecting God's order (Cain), being motivated by greed (Balaam), and rebelling against God-given authority (Korah).

No, Bible school is part of training, but ordination and separation for ministry require the laying on of hands and recognition by church authority.

Dr. Obed says that while God's calling is irrevocable, church authority can cancel your ministry appointment if you are not under proper governance.
