Mike Tomlin is OUT and Sam Darnold POOPS HIS PANTS? NFL Divisional Round Best Bets!

We're going to be working through some new things. And Tom Broley, the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be working through a completely new beginning. When Mike Tomlin became the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you and I were still pulling keg runs in college. That is a long time ago. I mean, he was he was hired. I think his first year would have been our senior year in college. Yeah, I think I just turned 21. Literally, I was legally allowed to start drinking alcohol right around when Mike Tomlin was hired. So it's been a long run. I mean, Joe, I even, I mean, it's been, I've had two coaches, basically, with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since I've been really following football, I mean, right around 92 was when, when a tower was hired. That's about right when I started to like really fall a little bit of football and I started to get into it. So a little bit of a foreign experience for me here. It's just my third head coach that I'll really know here. But yeah, it was a time for change. I think in Pittsburgh, the head kind of run its course and you could, you could kind of feel it in the city. You know, the fire, Tomlin chance going throughout the games the last couple of months and the stale performances in the post season almost a decade now without a postseason victory. So I think it was time for a change and a change for both sides too. I mean, Mike Tomlin seems like he has his pick of what he wants to do in his post coaching career. Maybe it's not even a post coaching career here. He could probably get a job if he wants to in this cycle. But it does seem like he might take a year off, take the Sean Peyton route, go find a little something to do and maybe find another gig next off season. So Pittsburgh, you know, this and it's time for Pittsburgh to really do a reset here. I know today, Wednesday, whenever they were recording this, the Rooney's, you know, they said, hey, you know, we don't, we don't tank. We don't, you know, race to the bottom. But this team could really use one. It's it's a roster that's really old. It's been devoid of a quarterback here for since Ben Rothlesburg retired. So it's time for a change and time for a little bit of a reset here. Steelers need to stink. And let's let's not have a winning record here for maybe a year or two, collect some good picks and nail some draft picks. That's really been a big part of their downfall here the last couple of years as their drafts. So it's time here, Joe. So looking forward to the next chapter and seeing who that next head coach is going to be in Pittsburgh, they could go in any direction here. I mean, they did with Mike Tomlin, like who had heard of Mike Tomlin when the Steelers hired Mike Tomlin. And that's why I want to talk about some of these prediction markets and what they have as the odds for the Steelers next head coach official sports books. Tom are really not going to post these numbers. No, they're not allowed. They're not allowed to post them. So we're going to have to rely on like call sheet and probably marking those to look at that. But I just want to highlight a couple of things. First of all, Mike Tomlin, 53 years old. Now to me, I like thinking about coaching, that's still a relatively young coach. But coach car, your guy coach car park, he retired at 49. I'll take a year off of coaching. Yeah, never coached again. You know, he's been on team ever since he was always by hot candidate for a head coaching job whenever I right after he retired. It seemed like for five or six years after he retired. Oh, Cower's going to come out of retirement and it just never happens. So I doubt that happens with Tomlin, but he's also one of these guys. I could see throwing himself into whatever he does next. And maybe he gets really involved with it and he kind of makes it his next career. So it's probably a slim chance that doesn't coach again, but it's certainly a possibility. Yeah, a bill car was 49 when he retired as the Steelers head coach, which is insane to me because he never coached again. That's like, that's the age that some coaches start coaching. You know, that's when you get their first head coaching gig a lot of the time. So it's skewing younger and younger now, but yeah, that's really young and that's Pittsburgh's, you know, not the RMO because they've only done this a couple of times, but they have gone for these younger assistants and they, you know, they've hit a couple of home runs here. Gonna throw a little trivia question out to you, Tom. I think you know who the longest tenured head coach in the NFL is now with one team. If not, you can guess that. But I want you to guess. My comments last playoff win is in 2016, okay? How many current NFL head coaches were in their current job when Mike Tom and last one of playoff game? Well, I was going to guess Andy Reed for the longest. He is the longest tenured coach. Okay, and I'll go with one. Andy Reed was the only head coach currently in his same job who was the active head coach when Mike Tom and last one of playoff game. Sean McDermott is number two. He was hired on 2017. And it has to be closed. Yeah, you know, he's he's another one of these guys that was really big day was was 2017, I believe. So, so I think McDermick, McVeigh were the same year. Um, and those guys were not in their current jobs when Mike Tom and last one is his last playoff game. So it just goes to show you I understand why it has been stale for stealer fans and know our buddy shorts. It was his birthday and Mike Tom and stuff down on his birthday. And I think he was pretty happy about that. Yeah, he was one of the the inters that was really open that he would get. He's one of the fire Tomman for 15 years. Yes. So he finally got his wish. It took a while, but he got it on his birthday. So he's a happy man. Um, so let's go to what what a call she's looking at here for the next head coach. Now I know who you want. Oh, I don't know if it's necessarily you, but I know who our inzer group chat wants. They want sick. They want to bring cursing atty home from the University of Indiana. Um, to be that that mean, you know, hard nose Pittsburgh stealer coach with an attitude. Um, I'm looking at call she right now, Tom. He is currently tied for the fourth best odds at 7% with Robert Salah and Anthony Weaver. The favorite for the Pittsburgh Steelers next head coaching job at 35% currently on call she is Krasula. Um, kind of fits as they the young both both I believe with Kaur and Tomman when they were hired were the youngest respective head coaches in the NFL. Um, and number two is Brian Flores, which I would think Brian Flores plays Pittsburgh stealer football. Yeah. I was looking back at what Art Rooney said when, uh, when Tomman was hired and it was all he wants to play Pittsburgh stealer football. And I still think that that is, um, probably part of the RMO. Brian Flores would bring that. And then here's a really interesting name and a name that makes me twitch from my past t-brow. Because I'll never forget Penn State being unable to stop him in a football game. The third best odds belong to Rams passing game coordinator Nathan Shielhase, former Illinois quarterback. If you don't know the name, remember it. This is one of the hottest young names in coaching. Uh, he's part of the Sean McVeigh tree. And like you say, Jake, there's that Ram coaching tree under Sean McVeigh. It pays to be, uh, pays to be off of that tree. So, uh, yeah, he's getting a lot of buzz here. Real young guy. What was that joke? 2018, uh, that the Illinois game? Uh, I think that was 2010. I don't think it was that 10. Oh, okay. I'm thinking of, uh, I'm thinking of the, uh, two point. Oh, forget about that was that was a couple years ago. That was Chase Brown in that game. Yeah. Nathan Shielhase, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, of Davenport, Iowa, home of, uh, one Seth Rollins, I believe he is, uh, he's 35 years old. I mean, he's not a defensive guy. So that's not a steeler thing. A chrysula is Tom of these names. What's the last time they hired a coach, you know, you know, I seem to remember Joe, you know, when they were hired and coaches back in, you know, when Tomlin was hired and coward was hired, a lot of times they went for these defensive coaches. Now the, the pendulum has kind of swung that more often the offensive coaches are hired over the defensive coaches. I do think I would put Flores at the top of my board. I think he probably, you know, he does have some familiarity with the organization. He's still relatively young. I thought he was very successful down in Miami. Uh, I know he burned a lot of bridges down there. That's why he's kind of been on a little bit of rehab tour here, uh, with Pittsburgh and then with Minnesota, but, uh, you know, one of the best defensive coordinators in the league. Uh, I, personally would like also Kevin Stefansky. I thought he was a, an excellent coach over in Cleveland, and, uh, if you want a little bit of that offensive mind, uh, I think he's another possibility. So, uh, seems like Pittsburgh probably is gonna, you know, even though it is a little bit of a reboot here, Joe, uh, I do think their organizational stability does move this up the list, at least for desirable jobs. I don't know if it's at the top, uh, with, uh, you know, like Baltimore and, you know, even Tennessee here with the new facilities and everything that's going on down there. Uh, but I do think Pittsburgh is probably in that top five, uh, you know, in terms of head coaching jobs. I mean, you're right. You're, it's a job where if you win, uh, now, now of course, Tomlin and Cower won early. Um, you know, Tomlin went to the Super Bowl in his second year. Cower, they went to the Super Bowl in his third or fourth year, um, as the head coach. So, you know, you, there are those expectations, but it is a place where they are loyal and, and Tom almost to a fault at points. But interesting with Pittsburgh opening up, we've got some of the premier NFL jobs opened up with Baltimore Pittsburgh. And we're going to talk about that on best bets throughout the off season, um, obviously when we get to futures and we'll have all of that content here. And of course, at fantasypoints.com, we're going to take a quick break and we're going to go game by game on the, uh, on the divisional round slate looking at the points breads and maybe some of the bets and props that we like want to remind everybody who's watching on the fantasy points YouTube channel, the fantasy points betting YouTube channel. Uh, I'm going to go game by game here. We're going to use draft king sports book just to talk about the division round. Now, obviously there are only four games left. So, uh, you can tell me when you have a bet. Um, I have a couple of prop bets that I made here did some late week research. Um, but we're going to start on Saturday and we're going to start a 4 30 PM Eastern Buffalo at Denver. Buffalo now as we're recording this is a one and a half point underdog 45 and a half the total much like last week. This opened as a, as a different favorite Buffalo opened the favorite. And, uh, the people went and put their money on Denver. I guess that's what the books wanted. They knew they were going to attract money on Denver by opening Buffalo as the favorite. Denver is now the favorite and it's probably going to go off as the favorite. Um, but last week, I picked Buffalo for one reason. Yeah, I was on Buffalo too. They have Josh Allen. That's the reason I picked them. That was the reason they won the game. Josh Allen won the football game. I think Denver's defense is is tougher. I think Trevor Lawrence is probably better than Bo Nix. Um, but this is a, maybe a better defense against Josh Allen. We've seen him get shut down. You'll fully shut him down a couple of weeks ago. Good defense is can shut down this really at times. Anemic Buffalo offense because Buffalo doesn't have a whole lot of talent on offense. It did not matter last week because they had the best player in the world. Tom. Yeah, this is a kind of a similar situation. As you said, with the, the, the point flip here, uh, Buffalo opened last week as the favorite in Jacksonville saw money later in the week. And we're seeing a very similar situation here where the limits start to go up later in the week for, for the bigger, you know, the gamblers that are putting more money down and they came out and they're supporting Denver here midweek. And it stayed there for Jacksonville. You know, they went off as the favorite. So we'll see if it continues here. I do think Buffalo will probably get some, some of that public support. I think they'll probably have maybe the, you know, more of the tickets are, are on Buffalo, but maybe more of the money will end up on the Broncos because the bigger betters could be on the Broncos, but yeah, the Buffalo last week couldn't really run the ball. They struggled to move it on Jacksonville, but they were able to have some success through the air, uh, which that might not be the scenario this week. Broncos are, are pretty good in both phases. Uh, so we'll see if they're able to move the ball through the air like they did last week with Shakir and Brandon Cook's making plays. But I don't think Denver's offense is nearly as potent as Jacksonville's though. I think Trevor Lawrence and the running game and, and the passing game for Jacksonville is far superior to Denver. And quite honestly, I had, I had Jacksonville power rated above Denver here. So I feel a little bit better about Buffalo this week than I did, uh, Buffalo going against Jacksonville. I, I will be with Buffalo whenever we, uh, release our staff picks, uh, later in the week here, but, uh, yeah, I'm a little bit concerned. Is it a little tougher situation? Home field advantage is definitely better in in Denver. You're playing it out of out to, uh, altitude a little bit. And it's a little bit of a short week here. They got to, you know, played on Sunday, turn around, play the early game on Saturday. Uh, it will be a 230 kick out there. Uh, so, you know, their, their clocks won't be, you know, too off, but, uh, it's a, it's a quicker turnaround. And we do know Buffalo lost a couple of key players in the, in the wildcard round there, Joe. Yeah. Gabe Davis and, uh, Tyrell Shavers going down. So they're already thin receiving core. We'll be a little bit thinner this week, which makes my one prop that may be a little bit of a dicey one, Tom. I took Brandon cooks under 30 and a half receiving yards in this matchup. Um, now the reason I took Brandon cooks in this matchup under 30 and a half receiving yards is, uh, Denver plays man at one of the highest rates in the entire NFL. And Brandon cooks has sucked against man this year. Now, is, is he going to get a shadow from Patrick Sir Tan? I don't know if they're going to view Brandon cooks as that kind of threat. But are they going to view him as a bigger threat than Keon Coleman? I think it's possible. Um, so I, I, I believe this is going to be a tight end. Khalil Shakir kind of game the way it was last week. I know, uh, cooks went up and over this number against Jacksonville, but I think the matchup is much worse. Give me Brandon cooks under 30 and a half receiving yards for the Buffalo Bills. Yeah. And I went, uh, with another under for Buffalo. I went James Cook under. I'm a little scared. Uh, you know, James Cook has been exceptional this year. The NFL's leader in rushing yards. Uh, but I went with under his rushing guards at 76 and a half. Uh, one of the highest, you know, I really high mark here. Uh, but Denver's run defense has actually been its best unit here. The, the past, you know, Patrick Sir Tan, obviously, one of the defensive player of the year last year. And they get a lot of the, uh, the accolades for this defense, but their run defense has been, you know, fantastic all season. And, uh, I went back through the game logs. Only one running back has been able to get up over this number of 76 and a half. That was Jonathan Taylor all the way back in week two of the season. Wow. Uh, we know, we know how special Jonathan Taylor was. And, uh, that was it back in September here. So they don't let, uh, opposing running backs get up over this number. But of course they are playing arguably the, the running back that had the best season on the ground here with the most rushing yards in James Cook. So, uh, but Cook is running to a really tough match up last week against Jacksonville a couple of weeks before that. His last full game in the regular season was against the Eagles, uh, averaged uh, 3.4 yards per carry in those two games, uh, needed 35 carries to get to 120 yards. So, uh, didn't have much success in those two matchups. And now he arguably gets a more difficult matchup against Denver this week. So I think, uh, Josh Allen and maybe some of these, uh, you know, players in the passing game might have to lift up this offense a little bit more. So I'm going James Cook under 76 and a half rushing yards. Let's go to the Saturday night game, Tom. It's San Francisco at Seattle Seattle minus seven 45 and a half the total. Obviously these two teams have played twice this year. I'm not really surprised here, Tom. I mean, um, the Philadelphia Eagles last week, um, as they have all year, decided to make make scoring the ball optional. Um, and they gave up a couple of big plays on defense. And that's all it took for them to lose that game. They have since fired their offensive coordinators. So you can tell what they think the problem was, but Seattle here coming off a week arrest against the San Francisco team that is running on fumes right now. Tom, not at all surprised that this is a full touchdown and extra point here, uh, with Seattle letting seven at home. Yeah, and, uh, they lost one of their key players, too. Uh, George Kiddell tears as Achilles in that wildcard round. Uh, I, I, I talk them, uh, you know, I, I, I have San Francisco as a worse team this week than they were last week, even off of an impressive victory over the Eagles because they lose a dynamic receiver and a dynamic blocker in George Kiddell. So, uh, I have 49ers a little bit worse this week. And, uh, yeah, we, we just saw this match up, uh, uh, back in week 18. It was a win and get in as the home, you know, the home field advantage, the number one seed in the NFC. And we saw Seattle absolutely dominate that, dominate that game 13 to three. But, Joe, you know, we were watching that. Uh, it felt like it was over by half time. Uh, it very easily could have been like a 27 to three game, uh, complete domination by Seattle. So, uh, no surprise here that this line has moved up to, uh, you know, up above a touchdown in favor of Seattle. Seattle had to go on the road to San Francisco to play that game. So, uh, yeah, I, I'm leaning right now, uh, towards, uh, towards Seattle for this. Uh, I think they are the superior team here. Uh, they, you know, Mike McDonald is kind of, he's had a little bit of, uh, he, you know, he's had some answers for Kyle Shanahan's offense, even dating back. Uh, you know, we saw, uh, we remember the Christmas day game, uh, where Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson are both vying for the MVP award and Brock Purdy, uh, absolutely craps the bed. That was against some Mike McDonald defense. We've seen him kind of have the answer here for Kyle Shanahan. So, uh, I think Seattle probably rules in this one. And I'll be, uh, I'll be taking Seattle, for our staff picks, uh, minus the points, minus seven and a half, minus, hopefully minus seven if you can get it. One of the two prop bets I've made so far this week, Tom, and we will be dropping more bets in our fantasy points, best bets discord channel, which, uh, NFL, uh, NFL pro, excuse me, fantasy pro and fantasy bundle subscribers get. Sorry, we renamed the packages this year. So, it's still, uh, uh, got a pull them out of the noodle there a little bit, uh, from, from time to time. But, uh, Tom, uh, one of the props I made here was, uh, if you can't beat him, join him. Zack Sharbinay over 48 and a half rushing yards. One of our least favorite players in fantasy, uh, because of the altering of the touchdowns, but at points this year, met for much of the year, really, he's been more effective than Kenneth Walker. There was a bigger discrepancy in our projections at fantasy points between Zack Sharbinay and Ken Walker. We had both of them going over their projection, but we had Zack Sharbinay going over this by like a full 10 yards, which is a essentially more than a 20% discrepancy on his prop. Um, the run defense is a disaster for the Niners. Uh, they surrendered over 100 to say quan last week and look, that's not the same as giving up over 100 to say quan last year, given the state of the Eagles offensive line. Sharbinay and Walker, both absolutely killed the Niners in week 18. Um, and Sharbinay has actually paced them in snaps in recent weeks. Uh, like I said, a bigger discrepancy in our projections. I think, uh, the Walker number was 56 and a half. Um, and, uh, we had him projected for about 62. Sharbinay, 48 and a half that I got it. Um, and we had him projected for about 58 rushing yards. So a pretty big discrepancy there on this number. I really liked Zack Sharbinay's over the rushing yards prop. Yeah, I liked that one, too. I'm going to take a deeper look at that one. I almost bet it, but I want to get it, you know, dig in a little bit more on that one. Uh, I don't have a prop for this game just yet. I'm going to continue to look at it. It is a little bit of a difficult game. I have too much of that week 18 game in my brain. It was so lopsided, uh, that I need to kind of get it out of my brain and really think clearly on this one, but, um, nothing has really stood out to me in the early going. But I do like that Sharbinay, especially if you do like the Seattle side, uh, he's been a little bit of the closer the last couple of weeks, whenever, uh, they've had a bigger lead. So if you do think Seattle's going to win by a margin here, maybe even by two scores, uh, Sharbinay maybe gets some of those closer looks. Tom Houston, uh, as traveling to New England on Sunday at 3 p.m. Eastern, uh, New England, I'm showing minus three 40 and a half the total at Draft King Sportsbook. And here is your opportunity. If you believe Drake May is a schedule merchant, take Houston and the points, as a matter of fact, I'd say take Houston on the money line because I think Houston is really good on both sides. Well, more so on the defensive side of the football, they're not going to have Nico Collins. I didn't think CJ Straub played particularly well against the stay he didn't need to because the Steelers couldn't do anything offensively Houston's defense a Aaron Rodgers alive. I'll tell you flat out Tom, I haven't made a bet. I one way or the other, but in our staff picks, I picked Houston win this game outright as a 3.00 dog in New England. I just feel like they're more battle tested, but the Nico Collins injury, the concussion is a major concern. Yes, yes, it is. I'm also with Houston here. I picked Houston before our staff playoff predictions. So I'm going to stick with it. I do think they have a better depth than most teams to kind of make up for the Nico Collins loss. We're not expecting him to play with the quick turnaround. They, you know, they at least have Jaden Higgins who, you know, he has a lot of the same tools, obviously not as developed as Nico Collins, but I think he could be a similar type of player to Nico Collins in a year or two. So I think he's going to step into his role. They have some depth. We saw Christian Kirk. Very good football player has not been used at all this year. He, he, you know, tore echoes apart for the Steelers. So a monster game. So he's he's going to be counted on more Dalton Schultz. They have Jalen Noll who should also, you know, get a little bit of an uptick here. So I think they're better equipped the most to survive the Nico Collins injury. And I'm with you, jaw. I'm I'm on the Houston side. I actually kind of have this game already written up, but I don't want to give it out just yet. I'm waiting to see if maybe we see some three and a half later in the week if Nico Collins does get rolled out. I probably will end up giving it out at plus three, but I don't feel there's a reason to rush this if I can get a three and a half. There's a great, you know, three is the most common, you know, the the difference between, you know, in games. There is one of the key numbers there. So if I can wait here and get a three and a half later in the week, maybe once Friday rolls around and the potential for Nico Collins to get rolled out, I'll be grabbing the plus three and a half with Houston. Yeah, any props you like in this particular matchup? Yeah, I did give out Ramondrey Stevenson over his receiving yards. Over 18 and a half is the number I got it at, I bet MGM. He's been able to get to 22 yards or more in six straight games. He's kind of been a little bit of a monster in the passing game. So Houston, we know how good they are with Derek Stingley and Lasseter, you know, Petry and the secondary. They shut down opposing wideouts here. So I'm thinking, you know, we've seen Houston give up some production to running backs. Kenneth Gainwell didn't go off last week from Pittsburgh, but he's still got the 26 yards. He caught some passes. And I dig dug through some of the game logs. Houston has given up 24 yards or more to an individual running back in eight of its last nine games. The only team that really failed to do it was, you know, Kareem Haunt and Isaiah Pacheco and Kansas City. So they they weren't really factors in the passing game at all for Kansas City. So it's a pretty good streak here. Of course, we do have Trevion Henderson, who could be the guy that gets to that mark for New England, but it's been Ramondri Stevenson mostly getting those routes routes for New England. So I think he's going to be involved and he's playing really well. I mean, this is the best I've ever seen Ramondri Stevenson play over the last month of the season. So if your receivers are going to get cancelled out a little bit, maybe get it to the guy that's playing your best football right now over the last month. So I'm going to look at Ramondri Stevenson over his receiving yards. Let's go now to the final game. Tom and I think I can make an easy argument that this could be the most entertaining game from a points perspective because well, it has the highest total on the slate. The Rams are like three and a half in Chicago 48 and a half the total. I think the Rams are the better team. I picked the Rams before the playoffs to come out of the NFC. I see no reason not to think that now, even though the Panthers gave them a hell of a scare, but the freaking bears come back in every single fourth quarter. Does that expire this week with the Rams as a three and a half point favorite in Chicago, Tom. Yeah, I ended up joining Chicago here. I took the plus four. I've been basically picking against them every darn week in our staff picks, you know, against the spread and they just keep burning me. I was on the Packers last week, looking good through the first half. And of course, they could not hold on to the lead. And Chicago ends up winning and covering. So I'm joining them this week. So I'm probably going to put my stink all over the bears. They'll probably get blown out by multiple touchdowns in this one, but a little bit surprised here. Plus, I was able to give it out at plus four. There is a plus four out there at Caesar's. It looks like so. But I think as Chicago should have some success, we've seen Los Angeles's secondary struggle against the past here in, you know, the back half of the season. And they give up some big plays to Carolina. That was the one thing that Chicago did really well last week. A lot of explosive plays. I think they said, I think I've read 11 explosive plays in the second half or maybe it was the entire game for Chicago. But lots of big plays in the past in game. And I think they're going to be able to do it against Los Angeles's kind of leaky secondary again here. So I'm going to grab the plus four. We got Los Angeles to. They're coming to Chicago. It's supposed to be a little bit chilly. It's supposed to be kind of sitting around 20 degrees. There's always a chance for a little bit of wind. So I'm going to grab Chicago plus four, expecting some of that bears magic again here. I don't know if they win this one, but maybe it goes down to a field goal and we can get the ATS victory here with the bears at plus four. Tom Bradley is making prop bets. I'm making prop bets. Good friend Tre is making prop bets. Chris Wecht is making his anytime touchdown bets. And Justin Varns is making his individual defensive player prop bets. And we're dropping them all in the fantasy points discord for fantasy pro and fantasy bundles subscribers. Do not miss out or missing out. Well, check out that QR code. Now, after you do that, make sure you do that before good friend Tre comes on here and gives you a bad taste in your mouth. But hopefully our man good friend Tre doing his research. He's got something fun for us when we come back. Now, I don't know how much good friend Tre, you follow the goings on at Miriam Webster. Obviously, who publishes the dictionary. Do you know what Miriam Webster's word of the year in 2025 was? I will say I'm, you know, I'm reading the dictionary every night before bed to prepare for this podcast. See if I can't drop some some some nice knowledge and some some new words on your folks. But no, I've gotten through the a's. No, well, we're working on it, you know. Rome wasn't built in the day. So no, I actually, I do not know what the word of the year was. What is it? Do you know what it was, too, Tom Broly? Absolutely not. It's probably some slang that these kids are using not that I don't know. So what is it? It's some slang that we use. No, what the Miriam Webster 2025 word of the year was slop. Oh, really? It was slop. Okay. And I guess at some point on some level, it refers to a I know it refers to good friend Tre. So the good people at Miriam Webster, I don't know which one Miriam or Webster is a subscriber. Maybe both of them. Maybe they share a login. I'm not really sure, but Mr. Miriam, Mr. Webster are subscribers to the fantasy points best bets YouTube channel on the betting YouTube channel. And they listen to the podcast. That is why slop was the 2025 word of the year. Good friend Tre. And I'm sure that gives you a little bit of motivation to carry it forward into 2026 as we deal with these playoff games. It does. And, you know, those guys have to be making more money on the bets than they're making it in the dictionary business these days. So it makes a lot of sense to me that this show is making waves. And the slop is getting recognized all over the world. So I'm going to do them a solid this week. And I'm going to hand out some big time plays to get them some big time wins. Now, bad week last week, let's just move on. We don't need to talk about that. Still up about 12 units on the season, feeling good about that. I went to an old tactic a few weeks back if you're a podcast listener. Called the home dog strategy where we bet the home, the home underdogs. That strategy is tired. Okay. I'm going to tell you the strategy that's wired. We're going with the road dogs this week. And my first play, the play of the week is going to be Brock Perty and the 49ers money line. Okay. That's going to be plus two seventy five on draft kings. Now, guys, let's think about this for one second. Okay. This should not be a seven point difference. And I'm going to tell you why. Actually, I'm going to have you sell yourself is what I'm going to do here. My dad's a salesman. He does that. He says, have them sell themselves. You guys coach football fans? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. What's called football? Some years more than others. Yeah. This year was a little tough. But what was the talk of the CFP this year? What was the what was the big storyline of the CFP this year? Indiana? Yeah, but not not that that was a big storyline. The talk was that teams on by in the CFP play like shit. So, so here. Okay. We're supposed to say that the rest for the Seahawks and more specifically, the lack of rest for the 49ers is the difference. That's why this line is so big. I'm not buying that. We're going to have it both ways here, guys. We're going to it's college. You don't want to buy and if I, you know, I'm not buying that. I'm not buying that. So I'm not, but I'm not saying it's better to have the buy or not. I'm just saying I'm throwing it out. I'm not using that as a reason to give a pro or a con to a team. We're throwing that out the window. And this is the only thing I need to say. I'll wrap this up quickly. I don't need to say much other than this to get my point across. You guys want to time travel with me real quick? Sure. Let's go. It's Sunday morning and Sam darnled loaded his bridges up. If you, if you would be completely surprised by a Sam darnled pants cheating. Who's going to do it for San Francisco? Who's going to press? If you, how did I go? If you would be completely surprised by a Sam darnled pants shitting, I have nothing for you. I got nothing for you. I mean, it's not crazy. Seattle's actually, if you go look through the numbers, I don't have a party in front of me, but they've been kind of a bad home team with that 12th man here recently, especially under Mike McDonald. They've been kind of a better road team. So and maybe they get a little nervous in front of that Seattle crowd and hey, see if it's this cooking, you know, cooked something up again for the second straight week. And we willed it into existence with Joe gone last week. Never, never doubt our sweet Prince Brock Purdy. So he's, uh, he's going to make it happen. He always does. He's been making it happen since he was Mr. irrelevant. So we're, we're on the Niners. My other plays here. I'll keep these ones a little bit shorter. If I watched Josh Allen shed his pants on live TV, I would be completely surprised. So for that reason, I'm going to take the bills plus one and a half. Uh, that's going to be minus 118 on draft kings for my other play here. I'm going to roll with the Texans money line minus 145. This might be a surprise of some people, but the thing is this defense is too damn good, right? Uh, number number one defense in the NFL. They're number one by EPA, uh, per pass. And so to me, that says that this team, uh, is has the capabilities to hang with the Patriots. I don't see this team getting beat up on the ground in the playoffs. Uh, it's going to be on Drake May, who again, I'm going against my futures here. I have, I have them as a Super Bowl winner from way back when for, for massive odds, but, uh, for the same reasons, Tom, uh, you know, said that that bet, you know, was a little bit out there. It is still, he's still a young guy. He doesn't quite have that experience. This defense, this defense is crazy. So that, that's the logic there for the Texans. So those are my other plays. And to slop it all up, we're throwing a parlay together, um, bills, money line, 49ers, money line, Texans, money line, and we're going to throw the Rams, money line, they're going to take care of business. The bears run out of luck. You're getting out of bed Monday morning. You're up 26 units on a 14 parlay. Let me know what you think. The one I have the hardest, I don't like all of them. Yeah. The one I have the hardest getting to is the 49ers one, but yeah, it is same Donald. So I at least get the logic, there Tom. Yeah, he could certainly crap it up. As Trey said, I like Houston a lot. Joe and I are both on Houston, uh, Buffalo. You don't have to twist my arm on that one. Uh, certainly see Josh Allen. The San Francisco one is definitely the one that takes a little bit of leap, leap of faith, but hey, they just did it last week. Can they do it again? Possibly. Uh, I'm, I'm thinking Seattle rolls them, but hey, hey, we didn't see it coming last week. They could do it once again. I would argue that how I feel about it, I'm the most confident in the 49ers pick. I think, I think seeing what they did against the Eagles and, and the San Donald narrative, uh, I feel pretty good about that one. I know I'm on an island and I'm on an island, uh, not just on this podcast. So in a lot of different places, but watching what they did to the Eagles, I know they lost George Kittle. That's a tough blow, but, but Thomas has been able to fill in. You know, he's got plenty of experience filling in. So it is a big blow, but yeah, I just with the Sam Donald, the history of Sam Donald, maybe this is the time, maybe it's the breakthrough for real this time. You know, maybe he's the real deal now, but it's, it's in his nature to see ghosts. The man is on an island in the noted tropical state of Iowa. And he continues to be on an island on this podcast. Summary:

FAQs

The favorites include Eric Bieniemy (35%), Brian Flores, and Nathan Scheelhaase, with names like Robert Saleh and Anthony Weaver also mentioned.

It was time for a change due to stale postseason performances, nearly a decade without a playoff win, and a roster needing a reset, especially at quarterback.

For many fans, Tomlin was only the third head coach they've known, marking the end of a long era that began when he was hired in 2007.

They recommend the Steelers embrace a reset, potentially accept a losing record for a year or two to collect high draft picks and focus on nailing those selections.

The discussion notes a line shift favoring Denver, concerns about Buffalo's thin receiving corps, and specific prop bets like Brandon Cooks under 30.5 receiving yards and James Cook under 76.5 rushing yards.
