Well hello world. Frozen pizza. I've had a lot of frozen pizza in my life. I've made a lot of frozen pizza. I've had people make me frozen pizza. I think it's delicious. And last night I had an experience that was might be classified as subtle but it felt very profound to me. So it was a really busy day yesterday and didn't have a whole lot of time to just eat in general. It was a wonderful day. And I went with my partner Mandy. We went to her son's soccer game and it started around a little after 6.30 and they played two full 45-minute halves. So it was a 90-minute game. It took a while. We didn't get home until nearly almost nine o'clock, 8.30, nine o'clock somewhere around there. It was pretty late. We're hungry. So we looked into the fridge and it was one of those kind of leftover nights. And she knew there was a frozen pizza in the freezer. So I had started the I left a little early from the game to come home and kind of prep. I started the oven and then she came home. Liam came home. We were all kind of gathered in the kitchen like people do. Talking about things, just chatting, laughing. How do you know what a good time? And Mandy put the pizza in the oven. So we're sitting talking, chilling, laughing. And in all of our just having a good time, we all kind of forgot about the pizza for a minute. And when Mandy grabbed it and opened the oven, it was slightly burnt on top, just slightly. She got it out and she put it out. And she felt bad. Like she apologized to her son and I that she had kind of burnt the top of the pizza. Now mind you, I still ate half of the pizza. It was delicious. But the reason that it slightly burned on the top is because she turned the broiler on for a second to melt it a little bit more and give it a nice like extra kind of melty crispy goodness on the top. Momentarily forgot about it. And it got a little darker than she wanted to eat the pizza, clean up the kitchen, settle in. I go into her room because I was going to read for a bit before I fell asleep and it dawned on me. And this is the part that was relovatory. I have ate a lot of frozen pizza. And never before has somebody taken extra time and effort to boil the top because she wanted to make it as good as she could for her son and I that she took an extra step thinking about us about how can I make this the best that I can for the people that I love. And I just, one of those moments that just dawned on me, I've never, I don't think I've ever had anyone do something like that for me. I'm not saying I haven't had people who've gone out of their way. My mom, my family, you know, to show me how much they cared about me. But it was the smallest thing that even in something as simple as making a frozen pizza, the person that I love that cares about me took an extra minute out of her day to try to deliberately make my life better. And she didn't have to. She had absolutely no reason to. The pizza was fine. I would have ate half the pizza regardless. But when we stop thinking about ourselves as much and we really start thinking a lot about other people who we genuinely love and care about and try to give them all of the, just try to do for them as best we can. When it becomes, when our love becomes more about someone else than about ourselves, man. It just felt so nice in such a simple little action, felt so profound in the moment of taking an extra step to try to make somebody else a little bit happier. And I'm glad I noticed it. That's the last thing that I would say is I'm really glad I noticed it because sometimes I don't pay attention enough. And I miss those little moments that people take an extra step to try to make something better for me. And I felt very, very fortunate in that moment to be able to recognize somebody trying just to make my life a little bit better. And that just felt like what real love is supposed to be. Man, that feels good. Peace.
