I just been in like, you know, just trying different stuff You know as an actor, you know, sometimes the Beatles, you know those dry seasons where it's not really much going on for us So you got to get into the you know other lanes pivot a little bit figure it out in other ways But other than that, you definitely still working hard. Don't you still working hard and I actually actually started Start doing acting classes like a little bit more consistently now - so I like I want to know everything like who who is your acting teachers What are you guys working on what classes it like or is it private? Is it in a studio like I want to know all of it because this is your first acting class right? Yeah, I would say probably like Yeah, it's my first time really like consistently working with an actor coach since the beginning of ghosts like I worked with a bob Caloker, which is what we're creating now to this day Mm-hmm. It also his his guide Josh to he comes in and helps to if if Bob can't can't get there, but um Yeah, it's one-on-one. It's super lit like we just do like even if I have like a self tape He'll bring it to me and we know we'll have fun with it with experiment with it and then I'll say like some random scenes So work on this stuff like that, but right? So say for example, you bring him a tape what like what what is he work on with you? Specifically is there like like weirdly for me was always like drop into my voice So like I'm curious like what's like the things that he works on work with you a little bit with me He really like with me. He focuses on like non-ciation Mm-hmm. I know it's hard People think it's so easy to like oh you just know your lines and you like you like sometimes you you can't mess up A word on TV. Yeah, every you need to be word perfect and then on top of that like with my accent I feel like a lot of words. I say a some like some uh, I guess like syllables of it or whatever kind of like get like you know I knew you're slanging a little bit. Yeah, I got the little bit of the New York accent. So I don't know Well, he helps with that Yeah, for the most part he's just like you know like you know what they want out of the characters Just you know just making you or making you and then whatever I think you need to work on then he'll just you know He'll be like I was fine soon this maybe say this way, you know stuff like that But um right and the most what if you audition for that you've that you've like loved or like something that you're like I was close on or this net is there anything like the past couple of years because it's been on like two years Yeah, like what's this one is pretty you really actually it's um Rambo Yeah, I was um I Would this is for sergeant rock. I think they can the whole the whole joint Unfortunately, we'll see here that that's like a good segue into like The conversation of being an actor right so we're we're in a situation right now in the business where it's Consolidating a little bit where there were so many more shows a couple years ago So it's consolidating a little bit Which is fine like that's just how it goes as an actor like you know You work in a TV show you run power for 10 years and then There's like a season where you're like, okay cool time to book the next job, you know like time to audition this net And I think that's why Michael and I love the podcast because sometimes I feel like when I'm waiting around for auditions It just I just feel like I'm not creatively stimulated you shot two movies on the hiatus like what were those? How were they when are they coming out like I'm curious um, there were two indies. I'm not nice. Nice. I'm not too sure on when they're coming out as of yet Facts out of cool. I mean that was a that was a fun ass movie to work. I'm not going. I sure was so fun. It was in New Orleans It was lit like it was High the worst hours ever though. I'm not gonna lie like every day. Dude, it's so funny We were we were so blessed on power like in the hours are rough In the hours are the worst especially because we started filming the whole movie was nighttime So we had to film once the sun went down and it was summer. So sun was going down at like 7 7 p.m So we started our we started filming at like 7 30 and Then we'll we'll finish the day at like Like six six six seven a.m. Like broke. It was crazy But you can't do like the way that we used to shoot on power is like 8 a.m Or usually like 5 a.m. Pick up on a Monday And then it gets later and later and later in the week and Fridays usually a Friday night shoot You were doing five five days a week night shoots five days a week night shoot come and come and wrapping at seven every day That's tough and man who's in like the most Treasures of conditions, but we was in New Orleans. It was hottest shit. Were you shooting on a soundstage or was mostly locations? No, all location all local. I can't wait to see this movie But like two scenes on like two scenes on like a stage, but everything was a was location, bro It was insane. We literally was on like an actual Like a haunted plantation House from like back in the day and that's kind of how that's where we shot my that's kind of how we did it, too Oh, that's it is actually insane. It was fun though. I'm not gonna lie. It was fun But like, I don't know a lot of it was just like then we went to the cornfields I kept calling Michael. I was like, I was like Chloe. How is it up there? You need me up there? I'm like, I know I know Chloe's there. He's like, now we're good. We got him. I got him. All right, but wait No, I saw you Chloe back. I was like close. Make sure Chloe's safe brother. If you need security, I'll pull up for you But wait, where did I see you? Where did I see you? Oh, oh Yes, report. Oh my god. I was out of weekend. Oh my god was out of weekend So Michael was in New Orleans and you you took a you were in the back, right? You're in the back. Yeah, we drove down that driver. We drove down what it was like what four hours? Almost like four hours Yeah, I think it was like yeah, I was like four hours. I see what's fun And you pulled up to shriep or I feel it. Oh my god. That was a lot of reports of Vegas that that that whole weekend It was bro. I was like I'm moving here. I don't care Yeah, like I don't know why we were even think about moving to shriep or but I guess that's how lit you know I wanted um, so remember remember we were in Chicago. Did you come to Chicago that weekend when when I don't know if you were there I don't think you made it. I think you were filming something, but that weekend where 50 was in Chicago And he you I don't think you did come but anyways, that's irrelevant. They gave me a jersey Chicago black hawk jersey that said final lap on the back All right, so and it said if the number was 50 so I was like this is so fire like I got to get 50 to sign this and Frame it put in my house. So I text I text a Mario and I was like yo Mario We were in shriep port and I was like Mario like I know 50's like super busy this weekend because he was handling everything. I'm like can can you carve out Like five minutes for me to go to five hotel rooms. We can just sign this jersey for me I want to get it framed five I text Mario that like 30 seconds later 50 text me is like bring your bitch ass up Brother I know he texted my sister so I go there me both. Yeah, he's like just I was I know but like I didn't want to like I know he got a lot going on like whatever. So I go out there and

I walk in I'm like 50 and he's like Come in I walk in there's like four guys sitting on the couch He's just looking out at the buildings. He's like pointing at all the buildings like I bought that one I bought that one. I'm like this guy's iron man. Yeah, it's the craziest thing ever He was showing us like literally pilot four different buildings. He's like he's mom like so insane, bro I'm like dude. He's just nuts, but yeah, he so he's building the studios out there and That's um and that's where he's gonna be filming like I I don't know I don't know where else. I don't think they're gonna do much in New York And I know they have fight land in London which I'll talk about after but yeah I think they're gonna be doing most of this stuff in treeport, which I'm not mad at because It's lit Nah, it's we're gonna make it you know, I'm saying we're gonna make it the everything being done at there's gonna make it because I don't know What is going on right now? Yeah, we was outside that whole height is he was outside yeah And it was so the other movies that you filmed like did you ever like make like kind of tight friends Or it's just kind of like you know because it's weird you will go shoot a movie You will hang out with the cast for like every day for a month two months whoever long it is and then it's like Maybe they live in London and you never see them again. I literally just this is crazy. I literally was just an aspen in in December And I played an outdoor game. I played an outdoor game against some of the best NHL players to ever live at the elevation has been so bad And you would you dying on a brother at last year I was dying but this year this year I like I did the um. I did it the morning of the game Dude, it's the best you get it gives you like four times the amount of oxygen isn't it cold as fucking it up It's a little chilly, but they give you a blanket and then on the bench. They want that and the boys was not having it. So it would go like six months and then we're like, oh my God, we just did all that work for six months. So then I would go to a new company and it just kept recurring for like almost a year, a year and a half. - So rough. - Me and Michael are doing this ourselves. This is no other company. This is the boys and two cameras, all right? - Yeah, that's how it is. - I was like, now we're bringing this shit back, fuck it. - We need to bring it back. Like I have found the perfect group of everyone where seven days a week, if I wanted to go out and have a great time, I would. He's he's continuing to always be in my corner and and it just was like An unfortunate thing that happened, but like yeah for like three or four months I would like stop auditioning. I'm like, oh my god. I'm the lead of fight land. It's gonna be amazing But again, that's just how the cookie crumbles as an actor even with auditioning your Michael sending in a tape I'm sending a tape you can send in the best tape you can be the best actor That that sends in a tape they might not like Michael's hair They might go which which happened to me with happy Gilmore They're like, yeah, Johnny's tape is unbelievable. They wanted a different type of person Like that's just how it goes. So like that's why you need to stay creatively fulfilled I know we have a lot of actors that listen to this show you need to continuing you need to continue with other ventures Because like when acting is like you know consistently sending in tapes and you're like, yeah, he's just not right for it He's an unbelievable actor Which is what we generally get we're professionals at this you know, we're not who we are because of nothing But a lot of the times you're just not right for the role So that's kind of like you know with fight land I was kind of like heartbroken, but again five is like don't worry. We're gonna find you something else We're gonna be working together forever. Like don't worry about that. It's just how it happened I remember I remember I taped for something like pretty recently like probably mid last year and like I was actually like Very excited about it for some reason. I really fucked with like with the size that I was given and Bro is literally like like a case like that. There's like he's such like his tape was honestly one of our favorites, but He's like to like I'm too. I was too slim like they wanted like a heavy set kid. I'm like People don't know the half of it. They'll be like oh bro's not work bros this bros that or like he fell off like even actors That like I haven't seen work in a couple years. I have a soft spot for them because I'm like I'm like I know how hard it is out here There they could be the best actor which a lot of times they are they're just too specific or they're not this or they're not that And then I see guys who are sending in tapes and I'm like this guy sucks But he's so right for the role that it doesn't matter if he sucks That's the essence that the director and the casting director and the producer are all looking for yeah That's just how it goes and and Honestly, that's what makes this business so exciting for me because like you got to grind you got to let it go And if just know if something if you get something just know that shit is perfect like literally for you, you know I'm saying like right braiding was for me Torek was for Michael like that's how it goes, you know, and and it's why
And it's crazy and that's why like the show business is it's it's wild, but like it is it is why it it's the hardest I think it's the hardest business in the world. It's not the hardest job in the world I think it's the hardest business in the world to crack into because of all of these different circumstances that that are out of your control Like all we need to do like on I we need to be the best actor we can be and that's it The rest is out of our control with tape. You do the best tape you can after that it goes That's it. It's so that's just kind of how it goes once you say those lines once you send in that tape God now it's what the universe now, but I will say I'm a crazy believer in In God in the universe in everything working out at the exact time like I learned stuff about myself the past year That if I probably was making millions of dollars on a hit TV show I probably wouldn't have learned about myself. So these slow times like you you discover who you are as a person And then that brings you into the next job to become a better actor Which I'm not going to speak from Mike like but I know he That's I feel that too because like bro, well because obviously when you when we're on hiatus hiatus isn't stuff And and you know not working for him and it all we have is time. You know, we have time to figure out certain things We have time to you know right. We have time to make beats or we have time to think like we have the most time to think And I think that's what like I think that's the positive of you know having that the hiatus that that time of kind of not really working Like you need that time to sit down and think about yourself and where you're going and who you are becoming because well I like when bro those five what five seasons of of ghost bro filming ghost the only time I really got to really think and sit down and map like and and brainstorming myself is like when we're done filming bro Like at the end of the season and then now I got all right back. I got five months of just like freedom You know what I'm going to enjoy this vacation. I'm going to think a little bit like but those six months of just filming bro Like my brain literally shuts off, but we're we're on set for 17 hours a day. We get home For what like maybe three hours were awake. We could probably do something for like three more hours if we're not dumb exhausted And then we go to sleep wake up five in the morning another 17 hour days. So it's like I don't got no time to be thinking about The shit for real unless maybe it's the weekend, but then the weekend I'm trying to go have a bowl my friends. I was like, yeah, they got a bounce everything else So you know I'm saying so and even like think about think back the first three seasons of of power this Uh, the COVID happened. Oh, yes, so Michael you and I went for like Almost a year and a half straight of filming. Yeah literally no Because we had to we stopped what episode eight of season two half halfway through episode eight Yeah, and then yeah bro we went straight like we literally went straight through we did we did the fit We did the final of uh season two and then we went straight into season three like nonstop So we didn't yeah, we didn't have a hiatus for one season. Not on thing about it. I know so crazy and bro That's what I'm seeing. That's that's actually crazy, bro Yeah, not like like and like retrospect like looking at it like now I really realized how much like my brain would really be shut All during like filming time. All we're doing is like lines Like set at home setting home Damn I mean listen, but it's wild like but but but yeah, it's a blessing for like I There's no place I'd rather be than set But we need like sometimes like you take stuff for granted this to that like we need these times from me personally Again, I'm not gonna speak for you. Uh, I need this time to like really like Know who I am and and keep going and like okay, these are the types of roles. I want to do like I've turned down a lot of stuff. I've turned down movies I've turned on this and I'm like, I don't want to do that like I'm not in this business to like just Make a movie here. That's a good shit like Bright like I want to keep going like obviously like I shot that movie in Mexico city It came out. I got crushed in the box office, but it's it's going crazy on streaming right? It's fine. Trust go stream it. It was yeah, right I like that. Yeah, I like that. I like that. That was a role that I was like yes I want to do this like it's just I was like a creep. It was fun like I just had such a good time doing it like That's the stuff that I want to be doing. I've gotten all for stuff from like Yeah, the money's good, but like I don't want to do this. So that's another thing It's like damn I haven't filmed something a long time. It's like All right, you get an offers on the table sometimes like I haven't worked in a minute. I don't really like the role, but it's like It's right there. It's like, and I don't really mean like and those are the tough decisions you got to make as active too Sometimes like sometimes it's there in your face and you like you know it's there and you you might want to do it Just because it's there, but sometimes you I think a little bit deeper into things But literally bro me and you was literally in the same season bro like I would say 2025 As far as like as a person bro has been probably one of my best years ever bro like me too One of my best years ever bro like and this is the year of This is the year of business and growing and spiritual and everything health like I feel like 2026 is like that's the year Where we like pop off 2025 like it's so funny that you and I think a lot of people feel this way Just kind of like the world, but you and I were kind of on the same level of like 2025 is like the year of like just personal growth No, I was really like I brought cut it like I cut out so many distractions Well, I stopped doing so many things. I stopped wasting my time doing certain things like And it just feels good to like feel a little bit lighter, you know light on the shoulders I have a little more space in my brain to think you know, I'm saying like my shit I clouded, you know, I got a Got a small head big ass brain from a lot a lot of room and think so as we Actually, I love that maybe a small.
