The app, in graphic of the red bird, notably went around in late March 2024, a precursor meme trend called "I repeat back everything that's said to me," or uses what attempts to get the bird to repeat their statements with the bird constantly replying to the same sound, which is just red slingshot scream. According to some, the original comes from a since deleted Twitter/exaccount from South America, who used the app in a viral video posted sometime in March 2024, in which he continuously tried to get the bird, that to get the bird to repeat his words, with it eventually, with it eventually, referencing the August 12th, 2036, the heat death of the unit, wow, I haven't heard this in a while.
