MeidasTouch Full Podcast - 10/20/26

The transcript critiques Donald Trump’s leadership through a lens of chaos, disinformation, and authoritarianism. It highlights how Trump’s rhetoric—such as claiming he will end the Ukraine war in 24 hours or praising Putin and China while dismissing Russian support for Iran—contradicts verified diplomatic realities. The narrative emphasizes how the Trump regime has engaged in covert actions, like throttling Ukrainian military technology and suppressing protest accounts on Meta, to control narratives. These actions are framed as part of a broader pattern of destabilization, both domestically and internationally, including regional conflicts like those in Iran, the Middle East, and South America. The discussion underscores the erosion of trust in institutions, with citizens increasingly questioning the legitimacy of leadership amid rising prices, violence, and misinformation. The book *WTF America* is presented as a response to this crisis, advocating for independent media and collective action to rebuild democratic integrity. The host argues that Trump’s behavior—marked by self-aggrandizement, deception, and a lack of accountability—reflects a malignant narcissism that undermines national stability. Despite his influence, growing public skepticism, especially within his own base, suggests a turning point where democratic oversight, transparency, and truth-based media could reshape political accountability. The episode concludes by calling for vigilance, civic engagement, and the spread of independent journalism as essential tools in the fight against systemic collapse.

Running a business shouldn't feel like a juggling act. One app for accounting, another for inventory, one more for sales, and somehow they never work together. Or you could use Odoo, one fully integrated platform with all the business applications you need. CRM, inventory, accounting, marketing, and more. All working together seamlessly. Stop juggling software and get back to growing your business. Try Odoo free at odoo.com. That's odoo.com. That's the latest over there in the catastrophic war in Ukraine. Diesel and gas prices are continuing to surge as Donald Trump is saying we need to rename New Mexico to New America and that'll make things great everywhere. And then he blames the Democrats for affordability, which he also says is a hoax. This is Donald Trump is now in Kansas. He was previously in Kentucky where he spoke in front of a very small crowd there. He's going to deep red states where MAGA Republic ends are losing. As of now, we'll talk about the latest updates regarding the upcoming midterms. We're in the home stretch over there. Big No Kings protest this weekend. The Midas Touch Network was the first to break how Meta seemed to also be doing some throttling of its own. Actually temporarily took down the No Kings Instagram account while the protest across the country was taking place. They then restored it and blamed it on a glitch. They blamed it on a glitch. That there was just too much traffic in the algorithm and that's why they said the No Kings account was taken down during the key moments when the protests were taking place. We'll also talk about a court hearing today in Washington, D.C., federal court where federal Judge Reyes moving closer to contempt against Trump DOJ lawyers for continuing to lie to the court in a case involving Trump's destruction of the East Potomac golf course where Trump has already ripped to shreds all of the trees there basically are most of the trees, the oaks, the maples, the cherry blossoms in violation of a prior agreement with the court. And we'll talk about what's going there. It's obviously bigger implications than just the East Potomac golf course, which is still a big deal. But it just goes to show you how Donald Trump is a lawless crook. After all, he is a felon. He is a sexual predator. He is a bankrupt and a loser. And we're seeing that on display throughout the world. Also, Donald Trump gave a major endorsement to Netanyahu, this weekend, and said that he needs Netanyahu to win the election in Israel. So there can be further escalation in the war in Iran. Then Netanyahu has cut numerous videos telling the American people it's a small price to pay, that we now have to deal with higher gas prices for this war in Iran. And then he said that he and Donald Trump are going to further escalate the war in Iran. We'll talk about Iran continuing to strike more tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. There may have been as many as 60 to 70 tankers that have been destroyed by a nuclear war in Iran already in the month of October. And Iran is now saying that if the Trump regime and Netanyahu regime escalates, they will start to target all of the data centers and U.S.-related infrastructure in the Middle East, and also cut the cables, fiber optics, and other internet connectivity lines that are underneath the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. So we've got a lot to discuss. Let's bring in Jordi. And Jordi and Midas Mighty, it is a big day for the Midas Touch network. Brett's out there helping promote the book as well. So that's why Brett's not on. But WTF America is out now. Jordi, I'll let you talk about it because we've, even though it officially arrives tomorrow, which is Tuesday, or if you're watching this, you're listening to this on Tuesday, it arrives Tuesday, we're recording this live on Monday. And there has already been a number of people who got this book. Benji, Benji, Midas Mighty, sorry to cut you off. I'm no longer using the word pre-order. The book is out, everyone. The book is out. WTF America, the way out of this hell and back to democracy is out now. Please go pick up your copy. We are so thrilled about it. Look, you know, we've been talking about this endlessly here at the Midas Touch network. It's because we've poured our heart and soul into this and we've dedicated it to you guys. Seriously, what's going on right now, I think we all wake up every day. Ben's intro is a perfect example. We do a big sigh like WTF. Let's just make some sense of this all together. Let's figure out how we could not go back to the old version of what democracy, you know, maybe used to look like. But how can we make generational change in the positive direction for not just us, but our children, our children's children and this country going forward? It's too important. WTF America available anywhere you purchase books. Check it out. Buy your book today and let me know in the comments. I'm in the chat right now. Let me know in the comments if y'all have gotten your books and definitely keep sending them on social media. We love reposting everything and just seeing this community. Really, really rally and come together and just show the power of what independent media, you know, really, really is. So excited to get into today's show. Really excited about this. Benji, that intro, all of these intros are just again, a big WTF, man. It is bonkers to me on a day to day basis. What we are all collectively like living through like this collective trauma is is is insane. I have a theory about Donald Trump and all of this, you know, chaos. Now the put myself sort of in his head here. But as we get closer and closer to these midterm elections, I can't even say that MAGA, the Republican Party are limping to these midterms. There's there's no pulse like there. It doesn't even seem like they're trying anymore. None of the policies that they've put in place, putting the policy that they they haven't even worked right. Congress has worked a total of less than 20 days when we run all the actual calculations over the past year. It's absolutely insane to me. Donald Trump right now, Benji, I have a working theory here that he actually wants the Democrats to take power. And where I'm getting at with this is he has shown nothing. They have controlled every branch of government over these past two years. And the only thing that we have seen, we the American people is chaos, murders on our streets from his Gestapo force that comes out and literally takes our citizens off our streets and murders them. This endless war and affordability crisis that he again refuses to acknowledge. And I'm just looking around and I'm seeing him try and I stump for for Paxton or whomever. And it doesn't even seem like his heart is truly in it because he doesn't even care about his own party. All he cares about was using the office to grift for himself, for his children and those point oh one percenters that get to hang out with him at Mar-a-Lago. Now, look, I'm not saying Democrats, it's a sure thing. In fact, I'm actually pretty curious to see you know, well, Dems snatched a victory from whatever. I think, you know, there's a real rallying cry here for people who are though are absolutely fed up. And even in this moment, like there's nothing that can be done at this point to reverse the course of this, how badly Trump has mishandled this. I don't want to get cocky. Definitely get out there and go vote. But ultimately, I wonder, Ben, as we go forward is like, does Trump even, you know, does he even want to be in the position of power anymore? Because I think this gives him an out if Democrats were to retake the House that he can now start blaming the Democrats for things. Once again, that's his favorite thing. He doesn't like to lead. He likes to blame. And so if the Democrats now are in, you know, are in position of power in the House and they regain the seats there, can he go, oh, well, I was going to pass my agenda this whole time. But the Democrats, they blew it for you. Look at them. They're ruining it for you. And meanwhile, Trump has shown his cards. He's shown you what he has done when he has all three branches of government. And that's chaos. That's instability. That's an affordability crisis. And it's murders on our streets, Ben. Yeah, I was waiting just to kind of get to I wanted to hear your theory because I was very skeptical until you got to the he wants to blame the Democrats as everything falls apart. I mean, look, this is somebody who has landed throughout his life, bankrupted everything pretty much right. Casino after casino, company after company. And then he goes and blames people his entire campaign in 2023, 2024 was about blaming Fauci, blaming Biden. Everything was going to be perfect. And then all of a sudden COVID hit and then everything was never his fault. And he ran a campaign where he was the arsonist saying that he would be the firefighter. By the way, what we talk about in WTF America a lot is that's kind of the playbook for these right wing fascist authoritarian Russian leaning parties also across the world. They are the arsonists. They cause the problems, right, whether it's Brexit in the UK, whether it's the pain and suffering Bolsonaro inflicted in Brazil. They cause a lot of the issues, not to say all of it, not to say that there's a lot of other problems that other people could deal with better or do a better job. And to your point, Jordi, not take for granted that people are going to support. There's a lot of deeper issues, certainly, you know, at play. But this is about arsonists causing panic, chaos and catastrophe and then pairing up with with the oligarchs who control the algorithms kind of swamp everybody, you know, with just a glut of disinformation during chaos and catastrophe where people are very vulnerable and susceptible to a lot of disinformation. And a lot of our thesis in WTF America is building an independent media network that spans internationally, that is a firehose for truth to combat the firehose of lies, which is why it's so important that we continue to grow the Midas Touch Network in Canada, in Europe, in Australia, in Africa, in Central America, in South America, all throughout Europe and Asia. Going back to WTF America for a moment, the first page for the Midas Mighty and everyone else who wakes up, checks the news and can't help thinking WTF. And we, in this book, go through, you know, this important thesis about how we make generational change, how we fight back against the. The Trump regime. But, Jordi, I think that, you know, at the end of the day, we're dealing with a malignant narcissistic lunatic, a sex predator, a truly evil piece of trash in Donald Trump. And so there's instincts, you know, where he wants to blame everybody. You know, I think he still obviously craves the power. I mean, that's the most important thing. So I don't think he wants to lose. He wants to blame and he has a plan of how he's going to blame everybody. But I do believe that there's a level of desperation that is setting in that, you know, here we are two years in. The people have not broken. A lot of institutions have broken, but the people are rebuilding it. We talk about independent news as one way to kind of rebuild it. And he's staring down the midterms in two years where there will be robust oversight, whether it's in the House Oversight Committee, the Judiciary Committee, all of the committees, frankly, where these Trump cabinet members are going to all be called in and have to testify and not for these kind of phony sham hearings that the Republicans have been holding, where you get like five minutes where a Trump cabinet member or staffer can filibuster, but where the Democrats set the rules where these can be multi days. And you're going to start seeing these Trumpers plead the fifth. You're going to start seeing the law firms that Trump brought in starting to get scared, the oligarchs getting worried. There was lots of reporting, including even from Wall Street Journal, which is usually a little bit sympathetic to the Trumpers and Republicans. They've done some good pushback on certain stuff, financial stuff and Ukraine stuff and other stuff. But they've been talking about how a lot of Trump staffers, mid-level staffers, cabinet members, they're out there hiring lawyers right now, preparing for the type of oversight that Democrats are going to be conducting. So I think there's a lot of fear, a lot of loathing, a lot of blame, a lot of people there are really nervous and scared. And Trump runs around and does this routine. And it's, you know, we've seen Donald Trump, of course, at these speeches talk about the cognitive exams and how he could remember five words. You know, the new shtick that he does is, you know, and I think this is homosexual disinhibition, like it's actually a form of disinhibition where he projects, where he'll go around in his speeches and campaign speeches and he'll talk about male senators asses, you know, and Senator Houston's ass particularly is something. He talks about all the time. And so he'll give a speech not just in Ohio where Houston is actually a senator, but he'll go to Kentucky and he'll say, I saw this guy and I examined his ass. I don't usually do that with men, but I saw that ass and I said, oh my God, look how firm it is. Look how great it is. And then I saw his jawline and I shook his hand and he's such a good looking man. And throughout his speeches, he kind of looks at the men in the audience and he frequently is like, how handsome are you? This is so handsome. Look how good looking you are. This is a good looking group. I got home at 4:30 AM in the morning and I saw this soldier so muscular and handsome. And I asked him, I said, what'd you say? And he said, 4:30 AM, sir. And I said, why'd you say that? He said, it was the time. I said, oh man, you're so good looking. And so Jordy, I mean, we're seeing all of that, but like there's with all of that taking place, look at what's happening throughout the world right now. The world is literally on fire. I mean, you have regional war, regional wars everywhere. And, you know, and I think it was actually someone I heard in Qatar, not sure if it was their foreign minister or one of their ministry level people today though, who said, you know, during world war II for the first two years, people weren't calling it a world war. And this is kind of what you and I had been saying. I mean, there's so many, there it is right there. Qatar's foreign ministry spokesperson, Majeed Al Ansari, a colleague said people living in 1940 or 1941 didn't realize they were in the second or third year of a world war II until years later. I mean, we could be in the first year of world war III today if we fail to address these different crises. And as the Trump regime rips apart the post-world war II architecture, and it basically becomes the law of the jungle in terms of international affairs, where might makes right or tries to make right in terms of what the authoritarians feel and they impose their will, whether it's Trump invading Venezuela, Trump and Netanyahu's invasion of Iran, whether you have Russia invading Ukraine, whether you have regional wars. spreading throughout the Middle East as well. Saudi Arabia striking the Houthis in Ansarala. Ansarala striking back over there. You've got Trump mercenaries all throughout South America, not only Trump regime doing election interference in Brazil and virtually every other country in South America. We've got forces. We've got troops on the ground, by the way, in South America, in Africa and elsewhere. And so I want to highlight that in this episode as well. But, you know, I'm not trying to be hyperbolic when I say it seems that we are in a world of wars, a world of regional wars, whatever you want to call that, you can call that. But a lot of it also emanates from Donald Trump's utter and complete weakness there, Jordy. So what do you what do you think about that? Absolutely. Ben, how dare you think of calling it a World War Three that we're in right now, despite all of the wars that are happening all across the globe? How dare you? You are so hyperbolic. I'm, of course, kidding over here. It's just a joke. It's ridiculous when we really just talk using the facts, data and receipts. And there's like a visceral reaction when we say it. Nothing says, Ben, going back to an earlier story that you were talking about, the White House staffers sort of preemptively lawyering up. Nothing says that you have been a beacon of truth and honesty in your role within the regime that that is the Trump regime. As you're already panicking and looking for lawyers, just because you just assumed that people are going to be asking questions about maybe some potential illegal activity that you had been doing while you were serving under the Trump regime. It's frustrating to me on a macro level as someone who loves this country. And I know obviously a lot of our audience here loves this country. We want to be operating at all cylinders, that we have people in the government right now. And quite frankly, we likely, you know, usually always do who are just in it for themselves. It literally drives me insane. Like everything that they had tried to accuse former President Biden of doing. It's like Trump and his family are genuinely doing right. Donald Trump has made over three billion dollars off of his crypto earnings just this during Trump 2.0 alone. That we know of, by the way, that was reported. We know that they're underreporting the deaths in Iran. It wouldn't surprise me if they're also underreporting other things here that are happening with Donald Trump and his personal finances here. And so take that for a second. I think that $3 billion is the floor of what Donald Trump has been making. And I fancy that number to be much, much, much higher. It is so incredibly disgusting that the President of the United States would use his power in any capacity to enrich himself and his friends and his children. And by the way, I say children lightly. Kids are 40, 50, whatever years old. They're grown adults who are also knowingly going along with this grift. It is disgusting. And it should piss off every single person who loves this country the way Donald Trump has so bastardized the position of the President of the United States and how illegitimate he has made his position here across the globe. People look at us like we're an absolute clown show. Like we are scum of the earth. And I don't think they're wrong. That's the upsetting part. Because I'm looking around and I'm seeing our action or lack thereof action in certain instances. And so where's the leadership? Whatever happened to the buck stops with me? That's not Donald Trump. He's not the guy that's going to take accountability, try and put the best people in office around him to help make informed decisions to lead this country in a better path. No, we have seen this. We've seen 10 years of Donald Trump in this country. We know who he's in it for. And it's not you, the American people. It's for himself and his children, his grown adults, and the 0.01% again of Mar-a-Lago. And it pisses me off, Ben. Look, we had Dr. Bandy Lee on Anthony Davis's weekend show. She's a world-renowned clinical and social psychiatrist. And one of the observations that she's made and her research has demonstrated is that when you normalize someone who's an actual lunatic or psychotic or a malignant narcissist, it actually breaks down you. So if you're in a family and you have to normalize somebody who has a very severe type of social behavior, and that's just at a micro level. It eventually translates to you and to your family members and to others who have to make accommodations. And so you start to say, well, that's just Timmy, or that's just Danny, or that's just who they are. No offense if your name is Timmy or Danny. So I'll try not to say names, but that's just who they are. And so what she describes is very similar to what you saw in kind of a Nazi Germany, if you will. Although fortunately here, there's a lot more resistance that's grown, whereas Hitler took over in a very short period of time, which is what my view, what Trump and Musk wanted to do. Here we have this kind of socialization and normalization of actually psychotic behavior that then gets filtered as, well, that's just uncle so-and-so. And it's like, no, no, no. And when you do that, to your point, Jordi, all things are rendered having no meaning. Words don't matter. If at the very top, the presidency and what emanates from it is all fake and nothing matters. And the words are just, that's just what he says. He announces a ceasefire. He doesn't really mean it. He announces a deal. That's not really true. You know, in the court proceeding today, his lawyers are out there. Yeah, he did a social media post that he wants to take over the East Potomac golf course, but that's not really what he means. He just posts things. That's just what he does, you know, and that whole aura around that is deeply cancerous and problematic to a functioning society. So as we talk about in WTF America, and as we'll talk about through the rest of the show, what we are neglecting to talk about, all these corporate news is, and the broader societal apparatus is some basic stuff, which is we need to be serious, right? You need to have a floor as a country. Are you a serious country or are you a fascist? Are you a clown show? Are you serious? Are you competent? Are you sophisticated? Are you exercising judgment and reason and logic and science behind actions, right? Like we often get so focused on the horse race of who's up and who's down in an election that we need to pull back and realize this deeply unserious, weak behavior where he claims and the regime claims, the Trump and Netanyahu regime escalates, it's going to cause more catastrophic damage. Let's just talk about the reality of what is actually happening here. You know, and then when the Trump and Netanyahu regime escalates, it's going to cause more catastrophic damage. You know, and then when the Trump regime does things like throttle or cap Ukraine's ability for drones to link up to Starlink or Star Shield and say the drones can't go faster than 161 kilometers per hour, whereas the Russian drones travel 450 kilometers per hour, Ukrainian drones, which all go above 161 kilometers per hour, otherwise they're easy to intercept by Russia, that the drones will be disabled by Starlink and Star Shield. We know that that's happened. How? Because it's happening. It's happened. It's not a fictional thing. It's happened the same way. Yet again, the early alert satellite system was shut down and Ukraine couldn't access it. So Russia was able to strike even harder in Kiev. And Zelensky doesn't have interceptors to begin with. But now Zelensky doesn't have early alert access to even warn the people that it's coming, yet alone being able to intercept it. He can't even warn the people. But what does the Trump regime say? That's not happening. That's not what happened. There was a glitch. There's something with the weather. That's not really what happened. And we'll talk about when we get back. It's like, what did Meta say when the No Kings account was shut down during the No Kings protest this weekend? That was a glitch. There was a high volume traffic event. And so it just shut off on its own with the algorithm. And that's what it's just we say the technology is infallible. And we have all these data centers to deal with it, except when we want to throttle you, then we'll say it's a glitch and you just don't know what you're talking about. So let's take our first break of the show. Let's come back. Let's bring receipts. Let's talk about what Trump has said, what others are out there saying. A reminder, WTF America is out now. We talk about the challenges we all face in this environment of disinformation, how we fight back against it. We give very specific examples in the book of the type of disinformation tactics. We then broaden our conversation to internet. National dynamics and how authoritarianism internationally is what is uniting to try to destroy the kind of liberal democracy growth post enlightened thinking and what that actually means, how a disparity in information that existed throughout humankind. If you think the Lord feudal dynamic, for example, actually now exists with so much information, the oligarchs poison the information pool. And. We create massive education disparity, which we talk about. We talk about how you cure that and then we talk about the way out of this hell. We give lots of shout outs to everybody affiliated with the Midas Touch Network. We're just. so excited that the book is finally out and that we can share it with you. It's dedicated to you. So tell us in the comments if you got your copy of the hardcover, the ebook or the audio. Let's get back into some of the day's news as well. So you had Donald Trump heading off to Kansas where he's giving a speech. And Donald Trump, when he was leaving, he said, I think it's time, he said this, we repeated this again, that we find somebody else to negotiate with in Ukraine other than Zelensky. I just can't negotiate with Zelensky. I can negotiate with Putin, but I just can't deal with Zelensky, he says. Here, play this clip. So Donald Trump went from, I will resolve the war in Ukraine in 24 hours when he was campaigning in 2023, 24 hours. And then he went from, I will resolve the war in Ukraine in 24 hours when he was campaigning in 2023, 24 hours from after the election, he said, but I'll give him 24 hours after you were sworn in, to now October 19th, 2026. I can't negotiate with Zelensky. He should have just done what I said when I saw him in the Oval Office originally. What was that? Surrender? Turn over all of Eastern Ukraine to Putin? Was that the plan? Was that your game plan right there? Then Donald Trump, outside of the White House, continues to yell at Zelensky, and he says, we've given so much to Ukraine. They've given us nothing, and we give them so much. You know what? We've given a lot to Ukraine. They've given nothing to us. Remember that. We've given hundreds of billions of dollars. I gave the javelins to Ukraine when he knocked out. That was me. Obama gave him pillows. You know the expression? Obama gave him sheets and pillows. Trump gave him the javelins. So don't tell me about Ukraine. They've given us nothing. That was me. That was me. Look what I did. I'm just going to make up an expression and say that it's a real expression also that actually isn't. Also, it should be noted that what Ukraine's been trying to do is say, okay, well, why don't we give you our drone technology? Why don't we give you our unmanned submersives, our FPVs, the flamingos? That's the way war is. Right now, and what Europe says about Ukraine is, in many ways, we now need Ukraine more than Ukraine needs us, or at least it's fairly mutual because Ukraine knows how to fight a modern war. Let's face it. The Trump regime don't. They showed that very clearly with the catastrophic war of Iran, but even originally, Russia wasn't able to fight the modern war. They've actually worked with Iran and North Korea to fight the modern war. They've actually worked to adapt to modern warfare, which is something that is a bit of a scary realization because while Russia is investing hundreds of billions of dollars in their defense industry, they're focused on a lot of the modern drone technologies, which they call their Garand 5s, their Garand 4s. They work with North Korea for these Iskanders and other types of cruise missiles and cutting edge ballistic missiles, whereas the United States still is only capable of making about two thousand interceptors like those Pack 3s and Thads a year. Russia can make 36,000 of the drones, those Shaheed jet power drones, which are now called the Garand 4s and Garand 5s. Russia makes 36,000 of those a year, while the U.S. can only make 2,000 interceptors. 36,000 versus 2,000 interceptors. I just want you to think about that. So Zelensky's been trying to say, hey, you want us to work with the defense industry? Look what we can do. And Trump's like, no, we don't want any of that. And instead, you've got situations or allegations where you have like Don Jr. doing drone company deals with companies in the United States that like don't really have a strong background like Zelensky does, you know, in this type of stuff. In any event, Donald Trump then says that Russia actually is being great when it comes to Iran. He says Russia could have done a lot more to help Iran, but they've done very, very little. He said, same thing with China. They've barely helped Iran at all, which he goes, I appreciate. So after attacking Zelensky, Zelensky, Zelensky, I can't work with Zelensky. They give us nothing. They don't do anything for us at all. Then he goes and praises Putin and praises China's President Xi Jinping for not helping Iran in the war against, in Trump and Netanyahu's war against Iran. That's right. Russia could have done a lot more to help. If you, if, if you put it bluntly, Russia could have done a lot more to help Iran. Russia's done very little for Iran. China could have done a lot more for Iran. They've done, and I remember that. When China does not that much, maybe nothing almost, but very little for Iran and Russia does very little for Iran. I view that as being a very positive thing. Okay. First off, go back to what I was saying about Dr. Bandily. Let me bring in Geordie here for a second as well. So, I mean, I'm not saying that, you know, we're going to have to do a lot more to help Iran. I'm not saying that we're going to have to do a lot more to help Iran. We're going to have to do a lot more to help Iran. No, no, you have to, every time you see it, you have to say, that's a psychotic individual. That's a lunatic. That's a sex predator. That's a felon. You have to say that's a bankruptor and that's a loser. Because every time you see it, I'm doing that to fortify our, honestly, like our defenses against becoming susceptible to the kind of mass psychosis that's created by Iran. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Where you have a lunatic leading or leading us into the abyss. And then you take a look at the content of what he's saying. He's saying Russia is doing nothing material to help Iran. Literally today, while he was saying that, Jordy, you know who's meeting with who? Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, is in Tehran. Today, meeting with Iran's foreign minister, Aradji, talking about expanding nuclear capabilities together in terms of nuclear power plants, which they say is civilian. Russia's foreign minister, Lavrov, says, I'm convinced. He says this in Tehran today, standing next to Iran's foreign minister or sitting next to Iran's foreign minister. Russia's foreign minister, Lavrov, says, I'm convinced that Iran's cause, just like Russia's cause, is a just one. Russia's foreign minister, Lavrov, goes on to say, Russia has no intention of abandoning the implementation of its agreements with Iran in the economic and investment spheres. Our specialists are gradually returning to the Bushir nuclear power plant. There are also major prospects for cooperation in the extraction and transportation of hydrocarbons. And let's be clear, of course, Russia is providing intelligence and military equipment to Iran. We know they are. Of course, China is providing intelligence and military equipment to Iran. And the way they often package it is these dual-use components that you can build a lot of the drones when the parts are kind of shipped separately and say, they're just for consumer purposes. But both Russia's foreign minister and China's foreign minister, Wang Yi, have said very publicly they wholeheartedly reject Operation Economic Outcast Against Iran. They stand in strong solidarity with Iran. They both have invited Iran to major international summits, whether it was BRICS, whether it was the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, whereas the recent one involving old or now independent Soviet nations in Turkmenistan. And by the way, I believe a lot of the Russian diesel that may be sent over to the United States, and it's not a lot, it's like a very small amount, it's not going to actually change the market in any material or meaningful way. In fact, diesel is going up since Trump announced that. I think a lot of that diesel is probably coming from Iran because guess what? There's something called the Caspian Sea. There's something called trains. The trains can take Iranian supplies to China, not as efficient as the Strait of Hormuz, but there are other ways for Iran to move goods around. And by the way, didn't Besant tell us, Jordi, that Iran was once again supposed to, their economy was going to blow up right now and they were going to be destroyed? Wasn't there another two weeks like they told us in March? Was it Besant's line, Ben? Like, we own them? What was it? It's a checkmate for them? What was his line that he always said? It was checkmate, Besant then said. I'm going to make him, I'm going to give him noogies. He said, I'm going to make him cry uncle. Ben, it is unbelievable when you witness this play out. I want to go back to the aesthetic of the Trump ramble and rant really quickly. Not even the substance of what he said, which you, great, you know, great breakdown there. He looks like a maniac. Like for the audio listeners, I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not saying this like to be funny and to get clicks. I'm on the East Coast. I'm not far from DC. It was a cold day today. He's in that clip, like almost profusely sweating. Like, I don't even know what's going on. He's screaming at the reporter. And then he says something to the effect of like, Russia's not helping out in any meaningful way. Donald Trump was the no new wars slash I'm going to end Ukraine, Russia day one. That's what he ran on. Like that, that was supposed to be his presidency. We're two and a half years nearly into this damn thing now. And the war started. rages on. Not only that, Donald Trump will look back at the those clips and those interviews. And every time he said, he must've said it over a hundred times on the campaign trail and interviews that day one, he's going to end that war. Now he was being sarcastic in those clips. The sarcasm went over your guys' head too, went over my head. I'm pretty good at picking up on sarcasm because it wasn't sarcasm. It wasn't sarcastic. There was no sarcasm around it. It's crazy. It's crazy to see when you watch this play out, like right in your face, that he's just lies like with impunity to everyone. And especially his followers. Like if you were a MAGA three-time voter for Donald Trump, man, it's crazy to me that you would be okay with any of this. But I think we're sort of getting to a point where we're a little bit on the other side of that. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch here, but his, his poll numbers within his own MAGA base now have plummeted. Like, I think like people who are core MAGA have a 50%. Like, I think like people who are core MAGA have a 50% approval rating of him. And it's because he lies. He lies to you. He's promised you check after check after check. 5,000 Doge dividend check. 5,000 vote Republican check. A 3,000 check here. And there's no money to be had. There's an affordability crisis that is ruining the lives of Americans across this country. And you have Donald Trump up here making $3 billion off of his crypto. And then on top of that, there's a war between Russia and Ukraine that Donald Trump seems to, you know, I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch here, but his, his poll numbers within his own MAGA base now have plummeted. Like, I think like people who are core MAGA base now have plummeted. And then on top of that, there's a war between Russia and Ukraine that Donald Trump seems to, you know, can't do it. I got my clip of Zelensky in the oval with me and Vance when we really, we, we had it out with Zelensky. That was great. That was great for all the people that needed to support me. I don't, I don't really have any skin in this game anymore. I don't, I don't care what happens. I was being sarcastic. Let the war wage on. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. And a failed leadership at every level of government. And it's also the issue, Ben, real quick, before I toss it back to you, when you just put yes men around Trump, when you just allow this maniac to continue to be a maniac, like this isn't comedy. This isn't a TV show. It's not, it's not the apprentice, right? Where, you know, you put all these bumbling idiots who also happen to be his children on the apprentice around him. And you let, you let funny things happen. You get ratings. This is a country. These are people's lives. People are actively dying. And you have people like Besson up there who doesn't know his right from his left, who lives in his Malibu Barbie dream house. It's, it's absolutely crazy to me. And that's why we titled the book WTF America. Because when you start to talk about all of this, it's such a wide scope and range, man. It is just, just W T man. When you see how he casted and castings, the right word, how he casted apprentice, not all of the time, but overwhelmingly it was people whose careers were either towards the end or their careers had failed, or they took some detour. And he felt very comfortable in that room to kind of mock and to pressure and to bully and to bring people, you know, who needed to be rehabilitated into his orbit. And frankly, what he did with his cabinet and his staff is he just, he casted and he says this, I try to find people who are central casting. And for him, the central casting though, is very frequently, you know, people who are much bigger losers and bankruptors than even him, because that's who he feels the most comfortable around. And he's a banker. And so his crew is all of these just actually horrific people who have done really bad things in life. And they've also not just been involved in lots of scams and engage in lots of wrongful conduct. I mean, these are people who have caused great harm to others. And that's who he surrounds himself as a majority. I mean, you talk about Don Jr's new wife, Bettina, just for example, and how the Russian oligarchs were helping to pay for their wedding. But then Bettina's father was Epstein's banker. I mean, there's always these connections over there. Then Don Jr's ex-fiance was in Greece, apparently, asking people to pay her Amex bills, you know, and sending messages. And then you have people in Trump's orbit, who she's asking, exposing her and what she was doing over there. And she ran around in Greece, apparently, with some 39 year old Greek lobbyist, who people thought was her chief of staff. And then you even look at like, what's going on with like, Trump's former lawyer, who was the United States attorney, Alina Haba, marries this purported Turkish billionaire guy who even knows what this guy's real status is. But then she accuses one of the other kind of Trump inner circle people, Rick Grinnell, who used to lead the Kennedy Center, of taking donations from her new Turkish husband. You know, her new Turkish husband's alleged to be 29 years old. There are some people who say he's not even actually that amount of years old. And there's a whole question about who this guy's background. And they accuse Rick Grinnell of taking the money that Alina Haba's new husband, this Milan, this Turkish, apparently billionaire guy, gave to the Kennedy Center. But then Grinnell comes back and says, actually, it was $17 million that came from the Congo that was wired to some tech Texas shell company. And then that's what was actually sent to the Kennedy Center. And was it really supposed to even be a donation to the Kennedy Center? Or where's the and there are so many issues, which is why we need oversight. And it's why Trump's approval is at the historic lows, the worst in presidential history, since the invention of polling. Trump's approval by far is the worst. And when you look at even the Fox poll, heading into the midterm, and you see what the public feels are the biggest issues. Number one is corruption. Number two is prices, but they're inextricably intertwined. And the person who shows you how inextricably intertwined they are, I think the best is Senator Ossoff in his speeches, because his speeches always follow kind of this pattern, where he talks about the corruption that Trump is engaged in, or the lunatic behavior Trump is engaged in the cover ups that Trump and the regime is engaged in. And Ossoff speeches is usually a version of while they're doing that. Here's what's happening to you. Here's what's happening with diesel and gas prices, record highs. Here's what's happening with mortgages, the 30 year fix that a record high housing is unaffordable. Here's what's happening to your health care. Here's what's happened to the rural hospitals, they've been shut down. Here's what's happening to your ability to you know, fill in the blank. And so that to me is a very kind of powerful, accurate description of everything that's happening right now. And it's not like I'm even like a messaging thing. It's just accurately shining a mirror to what people are saying. And people are saying WTF, like what the F is what the hell is this right now? Love it. Katie, your niece, Katie. Yeah, niece Katie. Not Katie Fang from the Microsoft. Not Katie Fang. We won't make Katie Fang dress up as Olaf. All right, let's get right into it. So you had Treasury Secretary Besant. He speaks to Zelensky in Ukraine the same way he speaks about Iran. And he does this tough guy act. Here's the thing. When you had Janet Yellen as the Treasury Secretary, Jordi, did you even? Did you even know that Janet Yellen was the Treasury Secretary? I mean, you may, I won't put you on the spot. Look, I did. I did. You did because we do this. If it was 2017, Jordi, probably not. But here's the thing. You wouldn't hear Janet Yellen all that frequently other than with very careful remarks because the words of a Treasury Secretary need to be precise. They require. They require a level of meticulousness. Just because you feel something doesn't mean you go and say it because the most important resource that America had, which we lost, is frankly something that Prime Minister Carney always talks about. It's trust. Trust is one of the most important resources you can have as a country, as a company, as a person. And predictability and stability of the United States, the United States markets was one of the major hallmarks of the post-World War II architecture. Now, whether you thought the United States post-World War II architecture was successful, whether you have criticisms, whether you have strong criticisms. Okay. What would be hard press to actually argue is that the types of chaos, of transition of power, the types of chaos involving economic markets, not to say that never happened in the United States. I'm not going to ignore the Watergate's and disruptive times and high inflation of other errors, but generally the US was viewed as a predictable and reliable entity in a architecture created by the United States. So the Treasury Secretary's words picked very carefully. It would be okay. You wouldn't even have to go. Extemporaneous. Sometimes you read it, read it because those words, every word is important. As I said, originally part of this WTF America is the US not just seeding trust, but seeding purpose, seeding, not just moral authority, seeding authority, seeding, meaning, seeding that anything matters. And that nihilism, that anarchy is manifest in terms of wars, which Trump says is peace right out of 1984 and anarchy that we see in protests throughout the world right now as well with instability that is partly or fully, depending on certain areas, also fueled by a lot of the Trump regime. So I don't want to suggest that all of this stuff we're seeing internationally is just Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, but it is arsonists lighting the flame and not having solutions. It is also, it is also, I don't want to leave Democrats off the hook. I want to be critical too, of, of, of, of lots of, you know, and it's not just Democrats. We think internationally, we also need bold, decisive action and leadership. Now, I think there are a lot of great democratic candidates right now who show some of the attributes of leadership that is exciting and compelling from all different stratas of the party. It's exciting to see in my view. Different people on, I don't like the framing, the far left, the this, the that, the this, the other, because in my view, Trump's the biggest authoritarian communists there are, you know, so I don't like the framing, you know, there is, and the Trump regime is, if you look at the behavior of, of authoritarian communist regimes, Trump is that while also ripping away your healthcare too. So to me, I try to even avoid the framings of, oh, that's on the left. That's the far, you know, and all of these things. Um, but I think that there needs to be. Bold leadership, confident, strong leadership in order to deliver for the people and not simply return the status quo. I digress on that tangent, but I wanted to show you Besset. That's where I was going with all of this, because I could show you a number of clips of this guy and they're all the same thing. I'm going to give Iran noogies. He didn't say that, but he said, I'm going to make him cry uncle. Or this is what he said about Zelenskyy, Zelenskyy should be very careful when, when, when Kristen Welker. And meet the press said Zelenskyy said there was a break in intelligence sharing because there was and watch the response by Besset. Let's play it. President Zelenskyy just said he believes the US government slowed the speed. Now, president Trump said he had nothing to do with it, but can you definitively say no one in the Trump administration ordered restrictions? President Trump and secretary Rubio have categorically said that no one on the Trump administration did that. And I think it is very reckless. They have for president Zelenskyy to make such a charge. I think it's reckless for him to make such a charge. Now let's play the other clip. Very similar. Let's play the other one too. How did it get slowed down? How are these disruptions caused? Because president Zelenskyy also said there was a break in intel sharing as well. Why did that happen? Again, I don't know anything about that, but we've been very clear and president Zelenskyy should be very careful about making statements like this that aren't true. Donald Trump is out there basically saying, "It's true." Trump is out there threatening Zelenskyy with these things. And then these things are happening. What are you talking about? You think we don't know where it's coming from? It's like when people were talking about this, the case that was in federal court with Trump destroying all of the maple and the cherry blossoms and the mature oaks and just they were like destroying the golf course in East Potomac. And then people were like, where did the order come from? It came from Trump. Where do you think it came from? And by the way, it's why the DOJ is asserting privilege and objecting to every communication with Trump. The DOJ in this case is saying executive privilege, we're not going to allow the lawyers to even talk about it. Of course, I mean, you had Katie Zakaria, Trump's press secretary, former press secretary, who lasted 1.4 scaramuchis. She was 4.4. 4 days. Zakaria is a new timeframe for five days or four days. or whatever it is. She took a photo. You saw the East Potomac golf course. And this is what this maniac is focusing on, ripping to shreds golf courses and making the order to National Park Service to rip up trees while the American people are suffering for yet another vanity project. While the Trump DOJ has represented to the federal judge previously that there were no plans, Trump implements a plan that was in violation of the court order and then posts about it to brag about it. And then the DOJ files a brief to the federal judge and says, that's just his post. That's not what actually is happening. That's not a final plan. That's just what the president of the United States posts on social media. We have to discount that. We represented to you what we hypothesized could be the president's philosophy or whatever, and it was not ripping down the trees. But we're not going to tell you what he actually told us because that's subject to a privilege. It's this kind of cowardly dissembling, this just weak behavior that we see permeate everywhere. And as I said, look, the golf course is more than about the golf course, but it's enough. It's still serious the same way the reflecting pool is more than the reflecting pool. It's still serious that they're engaging in destruction of landmarks and the fact that they're not going to rip down the trees. So we're not going to tell you what he actually The fact that they destroyed the reflecting pool after making it their cause of celebration and said they were going to paint it blue. I mean, it is serious what they did to the golf course, but it speaks of a fundamental defect intrinsic in all Trump bankruptcy behavior. This is a loser mentality that rules don't apply. He rips to shreds order and doesn't replace it. And then in the vacuum of disorder, he blames. And then when people try to fix it, they become the scapegoats. And then you rinse and repeat. And that is a recipe not for stability and predictability. It is a recipe for anarchy. And it begets more authoritarians because they come in and then blame anybody who tries to fix it because doing the surgery, doing the fix is messy. It's difficult. It's hard to acknowledge. It's easy to say $28 trillion. We brought it in. I'm going to give you $5,000. Oh, it's the Democrats who did it. Dr. Fauci did it. I mean, imagine you asked me every question. I just made something up. What is it? Yeah, yeah. I'm going to give you a million dollars. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's Brett's fault. Oh, yeah. That's Jordy's. I mean, it's, you know, just blame everybody's ridiculous. And then you have Kevin Hassett. Kevin Hassett, Donald Trump's top economic advisor. I'm going to show you multiple of his clips. I'll just show you one. He's asked about the economy right now. The economy right now. He says it's a boom. He says it's booming and things are amazing. Listen to what he has to say. Play this clip. If the economic polls that you're talking about were correct, then people wouldn't be taking trips to nice hotels. They wouldn't be flying. They wouldn't be buying cars. They wouldn't be doing all the things they do when they're feeling good about the economy. And so sentiment, like true sentiment, is best measured by what you see that people are doing and what people are doing is they're acting like we're in a boom. And the reason they're doing that is because despite despite what the polls say, we are in a boom. We're not in a boom. What Mar-a-Lago bubble is Kevin Hassett living in? The guy looks like Chicken Little. I'm sorry. I know people get upset sometimes. Maybe we're not commenting on people's appearances here, but he looks ridiculous. And the frustrating part, he's giving this shit eating grin as he's telling you that you're able to go on these luxurious vacations. How many luxurious vacations? Have y'all gone on this year, last year? It's it's insulting is what it is, because who he's talking to there again are the point of one percent that hang out with him and Donald Trump and the whole Trump regime of Mar-a-Lago that that that Epstein ish class and people who are not the American base, that they're not the American folks who who are the heart and soul of this country. It's a slap in the face and you see him up there just so damn smug, saying that life is great. Affordability crisis. What affordability crisis? We're going on luxury vacations. It's insane. It's insane. Yeah. You know, and then what was, you know, one of the taglines of Trump? America first. America first. America first. What was this weekend filled with as well? It was Donald Trump bragging about his endorsement of Netanyahu. I strongly endorse Netanyahu. He says, Bibi and I. Are going to go back and escalate the catastrophic war in Iran to the people of Israel. He says, we need you to elect Bibi so that I and Bibi can finish the job. Trump puts in a post, finish the job. And then Netanyahu posts over and over again to the United States, to the American people. It is a small price to pay that your gas prices and diesel prices are so large. Think about how bad it would have been if Iran. Iran got a nuclear weapon. Trump saved you from that. So stop complaining. We got Trump and Netanyahu telling us to stop complaining about gas prices here. I'm sorry. I don't mean to be giggling on the side of the screen, but your Netanyahu is like ridiculously good. Like, eerishly too good. Sorry. Go ahead. And then he posts his phone call with Donald Trump this morning. And they're just like reposting each other. You know, and it's like, America doesn't want to be in this net. We don't want to be in this never ending, catastrophic war in Iran. We don't. Trump promised that he would end the war in Ukraine. There would be no more never ending wars. There has been war everywhere right now, which he claims is peace, which again, you like literally out of the war is peace. Peace is war. Let me show you what Netanyahu said, and he videotaped his phone conversation about finishing the job. There's two clips of it. We'll just play the first one. For this incredible endorsement. You've been an incredible leader of the free world of America by far. The greatest friend Israel has ever had or will have in the White House and all of civilization is emboldened by your boldness. Donald, we have a job to finish. You said it and we'll finish it together. We'll finish it and no one else will do it. Actually, I actually crafted that one myself. That wasn't one that was put out by some guy writing something that was crafted. He said. I crafted that myself, Trump said, not some guy writing it like Natalie Harp. I crafted that myself about finishing the job, about more war, more war as Trump and Netanyahu dropped bombs on hospitals and elementary schools and sports halls. That's where our taxpayer dollars are going to not to build hospitals in the United States, but to destroy hospitals abroad in the United States. That's where our taxpayer dollars are going to not to build hospitals abroad in the United States, but to destroy the hospitals abroad in the United States. And he's talking about further invading Iran and escalating the war in Iran. And by the way, let's just say you are some neocon war hawk, which I would be very much against you, you know, to watch them try to justify that this is the war we wanted. Trump ran out of weapons. He ran out of 19 years of interceptors in the first month of this catastrophic war. And he's talking about further invading Iran and escalating the war in the United States, but to destroy hospitals abroad in the United States. And throughout the world has been destroyed. Donald Trump every day demonstrates more and more how he bends the knee to Xi and Putin and to Kim Jong-un. So like, even if you were this like neocon would like, this was your vision, or are you all just, and there's the answer, just a bunch of frauds that really all you were looking for was the United, I would say the US version of a Kim Jong-un, but honestly, I believe Trump is far crazier and even more deranged than a Kim Jong-un. It was never about government efficiency. It was never about America first. It was never about no more never-ending war. It was never about any of this. It was about you all wanting a dictator that you felt that you would be the oligarch surrounding him where you could not accomplish in a meritocracy what you believed you could in an oligarchical system that resembles authoritarian communist systems. Across the world. And you believed that based on your deceit, based on your life of fraud, that you would be one of the chosen people who would get the wealth because you weren't able to achieve success in a meritocracy. And if you were an oligarch, you're so worried about actually performing in a capitalistic society with competition that you wanted to use the executive branch to stomp and pound down on competition. And also to protect yourself. And that's why we're talking about you against charges and investigations of market manipulation and criminality. We talk about these concepts a lot in WTF America. I hope that you will get your copy of WTF America, The Way Out of This Hell and Back to Democracy. Put in the comments if you've got your copy. Jordy, that's all I got today on this episode.
