Make Money With This New AI Agent That Works 24/7 - Ep. #331

Grockbot is a powerful, action-oriented AI agent designed to do real-world work rather than just chat. It excels at automating business tasks, such as managing newsletters, running sales outreach, and building sellable products—like a time-lock app that forces inbox organization—without requiring constant user oversight. The tool’s strength lies in its simplicity and focus: users set one clear mission, and Grockbot handles the rest, building and testing solutions autonomously. It’s especially effective for entrepreneurs who want to rapidly prototype and launch products, such as a Shopify store or a productivity tool, using only basic prompts and existing tools. Unlike other AI platforms, Grockbot has a "bias for action," avoiding over-cautious responses and instead taking initiative. Critics on social media often misrepresent its capabilities—calling it overreach or procrastination—but in reality, it’s a practical tool for builders. The key advice is to focus on one project at a time, avoid creating dozens of agents, and use Grockbot as a trusted, autonomous partner to transform ideas into working, revenue-generating products. This makes it a transformative opportunity for anyone serious about building and scaling.

This is an amazing opportunity. This is a new product. It works great. You're getting probably $10,000 with the tokens for your subscription. Use it to make money. Stop organizing your Gmail for the sixth time. That's not going to change your life. Anything you see on Twitter that people are getting wrong about Grockbot? Yeah, everything. Let's hear it. Everything that I see on Twitter is like, "Whoa, I just had Grockbot make this knowledge graph." And it called my dad and this and that. And it's the advanced forms of procrastination. Yeah. It's got a bias for action. It just does that. I couldn't automate it with codecs. They didn't automate it with notion. Grockbot took over immediately. It was doing stuff that I couldn't set up. I don't think you need a lot. I don't think you need to customize. I don't think you need to make 80 different agents. They're just good to go. They know what to do. And they can work on it even when your laptop's closed. 30 done. What the crap? Oh my gosh, it works. That's crazy. Okay, that was very easy. If someone is brand new to Grockbot and they want to use it to build something, like you're saying, what's like a good first step or an agent that can get someone to revenue? This is a pro tip. I can't go three feet nowadays without hearing about Grockbot. What is Grockbot? Well, we all know we have ChadGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grock, which is owned by Elon X, Twitter, whatever. That's Grock. Grock just came out with Grockbot, which is an agent. It's an AI agent that's groundbreaking. It's amazing. It does stuff for you. We've talked about agents before, but this seems to be the best one so far. So last year, I had a friend named Billy Howellon. The pod, you guys loved him. He was one of my best episodes of last year. We'll link it in the show notes. He's only cutting edge of these agents. So I had him on to teach us and tell us. What is Grockbot? How can we use it? How can we prompt it? Most importantly, how can we make money with it? If you hear a few acronyms you're not familiar with, CLI, command line interface. It's just a way of interacting with a computer, API. It's a way that software interacts with each other, but don't worry about all that. If you ever wanted an AI agent to run a business for you, start a business for you and make money for you, today you're gonna hear it from a guy who's actually doing that today. And then after I hang up with Billy, I go ahead and download Grockbot for the first time and build an app. Guys, it blew my mind, okay? Open clause cool, but it's pretty confusing. This is as confusing as signing up for a Facebook account is. It's not confusing at all. And it really freakishly blew my mind. How quickly I had a working sellable app. So interview first and then build second. So why don't we just start broadly and tell me how you're using Grockbot today. Okay, so I'm using it to run Arlington Bagel, which is my local events and restaurant newsletter. It runs editorial, it runs research, and it runs the sales team as well as the Shopify for the lovely hats. But what I like about it is I can only give each of those agents one thing to do at a time. I've noticed, I don't know, Chris, do you use Grockbot at all? I never have, but I want to. Whoa, okay, yeah. Okay, so yesterday I set up a second Grockbot account, it's cheaper now. And I was like, I just wanna try this. It's been doing some great stuff, you know? I tweeted some of it. Like it's helping me schedule junk pickups, helping me like find T times, find cheap wizards tickets, a bunch of cool stuff like that. But I've got, I've got 20 bots and everything I think that I can do, I can do with Grockbot. And so that's a problem. I sit texting Grockbot all day and that happens even worse. I think to people and tools like ChatGPT or Clawed because of how projects are set up and how threads are set up. And so all that is to say, Grockbot makes you very mission focused. But if you're using it for everyday life stuff, I don't think you're gonna get the max potential. I don't think it's gonna click for you. Does that make sense? Yeah, but like, for instance, right now, I need to rent a pump to get the water out of my pond. And I need to browse Facebook Marketplace for skid steers. Like there's so many things am I to do list right now. You don't think it would be good for that or like good, it's not like using its full potential for stuff like that. No, no, it is. I mean, it is good for that. I guess I just think if you're gonna be using something and it's so, like, it's mission focused. It wants to ship. It wants to build stuff. Like, I think that's what you should be using it for. Like, yeah, it's built for builders, not to be like a personal assistant. Yeah, yeah, you're saying. The reason why I like it, it just really clicks because A, it's mission oriented, it's built for builders. And B, because I told myself, hey, you're gonna use this just for the newsletter and to corro the revenue of the newsletter. You're not gonna add a bunch of agents to do your taxes and take your dog for a walk and stuff. And that's just, I made more progress on this newsletter in the last, you know, two weeks than I did in three months. Yeah, I said this the other day, my intern left because he got a different job. And I replaced the intern, which is something I couldn't do for two months. I couldn't automate it with codecs, couldn't automate it with notion. Brakbot took over almost immediately, like, in 48 hours. I wish I wanted to take two things you just spoke about and kind of put them together. So you talked about your intern left, so you replaced it with Brakbot. Is it safe to say, like, instead of saying, you know, it's best to use Brakbot as x, y, or z, it's best for builders. Replace Brakbot with a word intern. Like, let's say whoever's listening to this has never had an intern or a personal assistant or whatever in their life. What you're saying is that amazing PhD level helper, it's best to point them at one thing because you don't want to get a new employee and say, try this, can you do this? Can you go get my coffee? You're like, whoa, coffee, I thought we're doing Facebook ads, right? It's like the same principle as hiring a human. Focus them, have them doing one thing or working on one project at least. Is that accurate? - I think that's exactly it. - Yeah. - Okay. - Can you share your screen and show kind of what tasks it's doing to grow your newsletter? - Sure. - So we could let's see, like, how it works, how you talk to it. - Sure. - Hey, please just take half a second and hit subscribe on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or wherever you're listening to this right now. It would really mean a lot. - Okay, so if you've never seen Rockbot before, this is one of the things that makes it great because it doesn't look like chat GPT. It looks like Apple iMessage. - Yeah, or Telegram or Discord, whatever. - Yeah, and so you have each of your agents here and I've got a chief of staff one, that's the one I started with. And basically, I connected him to my Google Drive and my notion where I already had a bunch of documentation and plans and work documents for this newsletter. And I said, go through and read and reread everything. And then tell me where are the first three agents you would build to get the ball rolling for placing this in turn. - So you're saying like, hey, give me ideas on how I can use you. - Correct, yeah. But within reason, right, you see how I'm like, let's start with three agents. And so the first three that it built, you might be wondering, it was the researcher, the Beehive experts of the bagel brand 'cause we also were kind of doing a rebrand. And if you don't understand, it's okay, it's confusing. This is a newsletter about local events and food. I called it the Arlington Bagel because it was breakfast time that we were sending it out and I thought it would be funny just to associate it with breakfast. - And Arlington, Virginia. And so the top line chief of staff, that's like the bot that runs all the other bots. And then everything below it are agents that are running concurrently or could be running concurrently that Grocbot is creating to do all these tasks. Is that right? - Yeah, correct. So you have to ask it and it won't create one of these without you telling it to, to my knowledge, it hasn't done that. So they have their own computer but the cool thing is that all the agents share it. So if you've saved passwords in there or installed something in the terminal, they can all use that tool. If you've got documents, right? So instead of them all having to go into a notion or Google Drive every time, they can just store stuff on their own computer and folders. Well, they can also access your computer too. But so how I like to think it if all of this is not crazy, it's like now I've got two computers to worry about. I think let them do what they naturally do and work on work product on their computer. And then when it's done, when it's done, they put that deliverable either in your chat or in Google Drive and send you a link. That way, it's not like, all right, work on my computer a little bit, then go take this and work on yours. And if you have them work in the cloud, if you have them do tasks on their computer, which they will do by default, then they can work on it even when your laptop's closed, which is a cool thing. - Would you worry about security at all for this? Like, do you have your credit card uploaded? - I do, but that's one of the other great things about the way I set this up. They can only mess up my Arlington Dagle specific Gmail and the credit card with a $200 limit that I set up for them. They don't have my personal card. They don't have my Gmail pictures of my ID in it because I specifically firewalled it. - Gotcha. Are you using Mercury? - I am. - Okay, so with Mercury, it's like you create a digital card, daily spending limit, total spending limit, give the card to it and it will make decisions using that. - Yeah, and they get a little weird about you, so they don't like when you put in information like that. I think what I'll do is the officially supported plug-in, this is a pro tip is Stripe Link, which I think requires a Stripe account and you can just put money in and it's like a debit card, but it'll use less tokens and the agents will like it 'cause it's like a native connector. There's a big marketplace here of plug-ins and the other thing, it's just a little thing that makes me really happy is you can go click add on all of them and then you don't have to go to authentication. The first time the bot has to use it, then you can do the authentication or put the API key in so you can get everything set up without getting slowed down, that like the first time when you're getting everything ready. - Okay. - Can you? tell it what models to use for certain tasks? - No, that's something that people I think are asking about and that they might add in at some point. I know a lot of people are, another thing they're doing is logging into clogged code or codex on the Grockbots computer and being like, okay, use clogged code to build this for me or to do these tasks. And I don't know that I really don't know that anyone watching this needs that. I think those are for like the hardcore, I'm building 20 different apps and I'm maintaining an enterprise level software. So you could do that. - So give me some examples. So what does Bigel Outbound do? - Yeah, so Outbound right now, I think I have to click in. I've never talked to Outbound directly. It's actually, oh, every week the chief of staff works with the Bigel Outbound and instead of, this is another way about thinking about AI that I think will help people not burn out, not be like this is impossible. And it's chunking work like this. So instead of boiling the ocean and telling Bigel Outbound, make me a list of every business in Arlington and get me their phone number and their email. Instead, I'm just like every week, let's focus on five. Maybe it's five that we've mentioned or five that follow us on Instagram. And let's get their information and let's prep a custom package with what an ad would look like and send it to them. So just kind of chunking that work. And also I think feeds the agent better context and helps it iterate better because instead of it doing something wrong, 100 ways, it's only gonna do something wrong, five ways and then I can correct it. I can't review 100 different ad packages. So that's kind of how I've thought about setting up this Outbound. - Has Grockbott found new subscribers for you or any sponsors for you? What have been the most impressive things that it's done for you, newsletter? - The most impressive was it found an old email in my Gmail that I had missed from like a month and a half ago that led to us going in this guy's business and meeting him and now we're putting together an ad package for him and figuring out the sponsorship. So the Outbound, I'm not quite, I haven't, this is like a month old, I haven't really been sending out. I've been kind of being like, let it work, build the list and make better ad copy. But it's handling all the emails with readers and current and previous sponsors and it's done a great job. - What are some best practices for using it? Like you already said a few of them, you want to chunk it up, you don't ask it into too many things, try to have it focus on one thing, anything else like on how you should prompt it, talk to it or what plugins or connectors, like you just can't live without. - So here's another best practice I think. I have an age in that it's only job is to know about how B-Hive works and specifically like how our B-Hive works, B-Hive is where we send the newsletter, it's got all our stats, it's where we put in ads and stuff too, so it's really important. And I pretty much just told the Chief of Staff, I was like, hey, can you fire host this guy with the B-Hive docs and teach him what it needs to know? And anytime we have a question about stats and B-Hive or laying something out or how should this work? It goes to this guy and it works. You just have the B-Hive guy. It's like a real office, right? You have an Excel guy, what other types of guys are there? - Sure, an ads guy. SEO guy. - Ads guy. SEO guy. - What businesses or ideas do you have that are tempting you with rock bar right now that you haven't chased yet? - Anything with code, I noticed I just had it make a, just simple, let me see if I can show you this. - Okay. - I did this. Again, this is an example of tinkering and not working on a real monetized project that I warned you guys not to do, but I was sitting on the beach and nagged head and wanted a way to kind of remember trips like this. So I gave it GitHub and Cloudflare and got it logged in and now it can just create static sites for me. So every time I go on a trip, I text it some pictures and when I was there and where and it looks way better on mobile, I've never seen a on desktop. It's like a little scrollable, it's like magazine. It picks a cover photo and which ones it likes and lays it out to be artsy. - That's really cool. - And so something like this, what I would do was, I wouldn't sell a bunch of junk websites like this. I think I would wanna help someone customize landing pages for their leads. So people who are in sales like, well, I, for example, I was talking, I was buying season ticket package for the Wizards the other day, the Wizards. The way they were showing like the packages and where the seats were was kind of archaic, but they had all the information and I was like, man, like I think you could sell so many more of these if you just made a like Billy, like here's the seats you could have and here's why we picked them because Chris, like you and I, we know we can make anything exist with code, but most people out there don't and I think with Rockbot, you could teach people to do that in a way that makes sense to them just like using iMessage. So teach them how to set up so that they can go in a Rockbot and be like, okay, I got this guy Billy, he wants to buy tickets, you've got a list, you've got a spreadsheet, you've got pictures, make them a quick site, use my GitHub and Cloudflare and I can show it to him during our sales call and that's a, I mean, that's applicable to anyone that does sales and I think you could do that with anything. You know, you could do, you could do the same thing with helping people manage Shopify's, you could say, okay, and you could do it for them, right? So you could start with your agents, do like it done for you and so I've got my bagel shop bot and I could be like, okay, bagel shop bots locked jacked into your Shopify, it's gonna find, you know, your average, it's gonna analyze your average card value, like your chargebacks, all this stuff that you didn't know and then make a report and then we'll get you set up so that you can just have this run on a routine with your own shop bot every week but you could just do it as a service too. You can, you can do sections so you can segment out like by client and then I think they're adding in a team's thing. I haven't been able to figure out how to do it but I read something from someone at SpaceX so it could be like, it's exactly for this agency use case. So say you have a team of five and they're all cracked at optimizing Shopify, well, you could use that team on Chris's croissants, right? Client and then you could have that same team on a different project. So I think they're kind of going where I'm thinking on this which is setting up rock bot agent teams and then using them on different small businesses. - Mmm, okay. - If you or someone you know went to chat GPT and said, make me money and then it did, I wanna hear from you. I want to have you on my podcast to hear your story. If it's you, great, you'll get free publicity. If it's your friend, great, I'll give you $1,000 for sending your friend. Send them to tkoyes.com and fill out the form and we'll have you on the podcast. So you got what, perplexity computer, clawed co-work, manus. What would you say makes rock bot different from everything else out there that might be similar? - One, it's got rock which feels like the most unneudered AI agent right now which I think has just gotten worse and worse. - Grok has or the others have? - Well, I think I've just noticed the others doing a lot of like the, what do they call like the text water marking? Like they will not write stuff in my voice that they used to and rock bot is like I said very mission and like solution oriented. So I like to stop it. You know, I was asking, I was like, hey, can you look into like the pricing for someone to come pick up some junk from my house and it was like, okay, it's this much money. I'm gonna go fill it out for tomorrow at 1 p.m. And I was like, well, like hang on, let me ask my wife first. - Yeah. - And the other ones are way more like safety they have more safety isn't baked in about. Are you absolutely sure? And you're like, yes. And then it'll go and be like, well, I wasn't sure. So I needed, I wanted to make sure with you. It's kind of like a, like a, a new intern might act. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know. - It's got a bias for action. Grok bot. - Bias for action. - Yeah, I mean, you can tell that it's people like SpaceX people working on this. And it reminds me very much of interacting with like SpaceX and Tesla people. The interface is super simple. These little icons here are some of the secret sauce I think because they're so easy to recognize. And then a lot of other agents, it's either just this gray box with a name or some crazy AI generated thing. So this just helps you save so much time finding out. There's my research bot, there's my bagel sales bot. On mobile, it's the best. I think for a virtual computer, the way this computer pops out on your phone so you can see what it's doing. It's just really easy to use. The mobile app is not an afterthought, which I think it's kind of slapped on to a lot of other existing products. I haven't done teach a task yet, but you can record. - Yeah, yeah. - So you can record yourself doing a task. I guess that would be like, if you're just like automating something. - Have you ever tried, do you use Repplet? Like what's your, what's your own Repplet? - Yeah, I love Repplet. I've got dozens of Repplet projects in the works. And the most time consuming part of Repplet is prompt, reprompt, fix, fix this, not this. No, you didn't do it right back and forth back and forth the last mile. Have you ever thought of either starting from scratch with Grockbot via Repplet or having Grockbot go into your Repplet to an old project and saying, this is what I want, it needs to work. Like it needs to work as if you're a user. Here's my credit card number. Go through the whole process. Make sure that the product works, sign up flow works, keep testing over and over and over. Look at the actual code and like just keep tweaking it until it's a fully functional product. Have you ever tried using it for that? - Yeah, you're talking about like the last 20% of-- - Yeah, which is the last harder than the first 80% yeah. - I have thought about that because I have so many Repplet things that are stuck at 80%. But I, no, I hadn't thought of doing that with Grockbot. I more so wanted to use Grockbot to go into my Repplet and be like, here's where all these projects stand. Here's like what the issues are. here. - There's where they're deployed. - That'd be amazing. - Yeah. - So I kind of lose track of that. - 'Cause I built this tool that makes it easy for people to easily create and send liability waivers. Think Doc you sign, but only for simple liability waivers, and it just you can create a link easily. You can send it out to tons of people easily, and then you can store the signed waivers in your account easily. But there's just a lot of moving parts. It's like pricing and the Stripe integration wasn't working. And then like the actual product of filling out the form, making sure it worked, the email, rescind API, everything. It would just be so nice to say like, it just needs to frickin' work. It just needs to work. Keep playing with it and fixing it in-rapplet, keep prompting, wraplet, until it fully works. I was supposed to. Here's my vision, get it there. I want to try that. - Yeah, I think I could do that, and I think I'll try that. - Yeah. - I think if you wanted an idea of something that would really help business owners is social media, like ideation and management. Yeah, I have so many friends that need help just with content calendar stuff and things like defining like their social brand and their content pillars, right? I think Rockbaugh would be great for that. It's helped me kind of define and set up templates so that I don't have an excuse not to post on this newsletter. And they're not like perfect or amazing. - Right. - If thing has to exist first and then you can tweak it and play with it. I really want to get it on video editing. I have an inkling if I can teach it. Some of the stuff that like I've done with Codex on video editing, I could do complete in the cloud. My laptop doesn't need to be open, drop a video file. Okay, Rockbaugh come in, grab that, cut out dead hair, add transitions. I think I could get it to do that really well. And in the one other thing, I'm just going, I'm rolling here. The one other thing that I've been dying to do, I thought of my answer earlier question on, what would I do? What have I been itching to do with Rockbaugh that I haven't done yet? And that is I just want to give it a Shopify and a credit card and an idea and start it from scratch and say go. Facebook ads, do everything. Yep, it's really good at finding out what integrations to use. Okay. And it'll pop up like in here like, hey, there's not an official integration, but you could put an API key in here. Kind of like what Repplet started doing first. And so I have been itching. I've had like three Shopify store ideas. One is college themed game day cowboy boots, which is really probably people not in the South don't know that that's a big thing right now. Oh yeah. I went back for a game day and I was like, I never thought I'd see people in Charlottes feel aware in cowboy boots on a game. Yeah. But they don't have logos on them. And every SEC school does. Oh yeah. So that's one idea. And then another one is, I love this. Like I don't know. Does your wife or like your wife friend either talk ever talk about like products they see on Instagram? Whenever they mention a product that was a really good ad or that they bought, it just sears into my brain and I write it down. And so one, it's like the water bottle thing. You know, every year there's a new water bottle. Well, so now there's, there's a blanket, some blanket that girls love. And the name is escaping me, but it's 200 dollar blanket. Mickey Kater or are they from Utah? Utah is like the blanket capital of the world. Is it? Yeah. Wait, let me pull up my, I've got it on my phone rock bottom. When you drive down I-15 to Utah, I'm not exaggerating. Every other billboard is a blanket billboard. Really? It's the most random thing. Oh, well, anyway, maybe we should, 'cause blanket was the one I decided I wanted to go with. Maybe I should go to Utah and get blankets. It's called, it's called Lola. Oh, yeah. Mickey Kater and Lola, those are like the two, that's like the token Pepsi of blankets in Utah. Okay. Expanding outside of Utah. They're like really soft and plush and. Yeah. Gets a killer. It's such a great product just to have. You can give it as gifts and I like it. And then the other one was, oh, this is random. I'm really into like Terry cloth clothes recently. We went to the speech wedding and I bought a bunch and I was like, this is great. I want to make a brand that's like this, or at least start with towels. Start with like one hero product. And so I went into Grockbot and I created a sourcing bot and I was like, your job is to research these three ideas and use import Yeti to try to look at these brands that I like and then write me a memo on each brand and what you think a good price point is, what you think you could get the cost to realistically and what kind of hero product you would do and then pull that all together and give me like, which product out of these three ideas would you go for? And I made sure to be like, do two rounds of adversarial review with there's like a different bot in here. I think chief of staff that used so that you get real feedback and they would find things like, oh, like that suppliers website 404s or. So get out all the stupid AI stuff that you usually run into. And it did like, I think the best research of any bot I've ever used to do like product research. It was pretty amazing. - I'm kind of obsessed with this idea of having it just run with a Shopify store because what is the Shopify store? It is designing a site, aka picking a template or a theme. There's tons to choose from. You can buy one and you go in for free. It is Facebook ads, right? It can do that. You can make creative. It is going to the Facebook ad library to see what comparable brands are doing well. It is Google ads. I'm sure it can do that just fine. It is sourcing products. You can drop ship them or you can actually source them. It can do that. You can go to Ali Baba, Ali Express, whatever. It can do competitive research. It's a slick brand. Good design. It can do that. - Well, and Shopify is like AI first. That's the other great thing. Is building and Shopify, I think, is a good idea because the agent can do a lot of. Most of the store stuff from the terminal and can build you a custom store using the Shopify developer package. And I think what you do at once, you could scale. I think you could stack different stores fairly easily once you get all those pipelines flowing. I mean, like, I got my Shopify bot set up for the Arlington bagel the other day. I don't want to scroll up in like docs, but someone wanted a return and it's immediately went in and was like, "Hey, we've got this overdue return that you didn't notice." I wrote an email for someone. You just need to confirm that you want me and I'll process this return and I'll email them. Oh, it's just like a fish and water. - Yeah, man, that is cool. - The other reason I'm crazy about this is I think with the cost of developing software going to zero, there's something about building something in the real world that I think is worth doing and that you still could have like an edge in. - Yeah. - Anything you see on Twitter that people are getting wrong about Grogbot? - Yeah, everything. Everything. - Let's hear it. - I just, I know, I'm fixated on this, but I want people watching really take this away is like, this is an amazing opportunity. You're getting, this is a new product. It works great. You're getting probably $10,000 with the tokens for whatever your subscription. $100, $200, the script doesn't matter. Stop, stop organizing your Gmail. I fall into this trap. - Yeah. - You can use it to triage some, but like that's not going to change your life or how you work with AI is doing that same thing. Use this as an excuse to take an idea that you've had seriously and explore it. Because that's the best one that I found at exploring ideas and then going to market. So everything that I see on Twitter is like, whoa, I just had Grogbot make this knowledge graph and it called my dad and this and that. And I don't know. I think people are advanced forms of procrastination. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just get frustrated that I don't know that a lot of people, but the same kind of tasks. - It is funny 'cause like long before AI, long before these agents doing the thing, like selling the thing, starting the thing was always the hard and the scary part. And so we always did market research and talk to people about our idea and got an LLC because that felt like we were making progress when you're not actually making progress. Making progress is selling something. You would think you would hope that like having an agent do it for you takes that fear away, but it's really the same. You're just transferring that fear to the agent, you know? - And I still do a Chris, I did it earlier when I was like, well, I've had this outbound thing running for a week and I haven't said go on. And I should say go. And then if the people are like, this sounds like AI, I could be like, okay, sorry, I had an AI. You know what I mean? Instead of tweaking and tweaking. And I don't think you need a lot. I don't think you need to make 80 different agents and have them ingest a bunch of stuff. I think they're just good to go. I think they know what to do. - Yeah, if someone is brand new to Rockbot and they want to use it to build something, like you're saying, what's like a good first step or an agent that can get someone to revenue? - Well, I mean, this is probably second nature for a lot of people listening, but you just have to nail what your value prop is and what your offer is. And Rockbot's really good at that. Do what I said, like with those products and be like, what do you think we can get the cost to on this? What do you think the price point is? What's our hero product? So even if you're selling, consulting or services, have Rockbot do chief of staff and say, I want to sell gutter cleaning. Okay, what's my hero product? - Oh, it's a summer, end of summer, gutter clean or spring refresh or whatever. I think Rockbot says, I think you could price it. This price point, this price point, or this price point. I think you could hire someone based on where you live. This is the going rates. Here's what I think you would spend on a website. Then build the website based on that offer, right? So I think nail the offer first with Rockbot and then build three agents that monitor like your inbox and your website and that's all you need, right? You need a Google sheet and Gmail to sell anything, right? So you can teach Rockbot to sell with just Gmail and a Google sheet. Just get that offer nailed down. - Billy, this has been amazing. Where can we find you if we want to learn more about Billy? - I've got a great YouTube channel, Billy J. Howell and then Twitter. Billy J. Howell on Twitter, follow me there. I've got some free resources that I'll probably put back in my bio so that you guys can get some help with like prompting and vibe, Please go do what I said go go take that idea or that offer and go talk about it with crock bot and build a three Agent team and run it for a week and make your first sale and then tag me on Twitter. That's or DM me on Twitter That's what I love. I love when people DM me. Yeah, I don't need anything else from you crazy people Billy, thank you. Thanks Chris. Pleasure. Okay. Now I'm gonna try crock bot for myself and build an app And if you're listening to this on audio only I walk you through all the steps It's a little better on video if you want to watch on Spotify or in a few days It'll be live on YouTube, but you still get the gist of it on audio only. Don't say I didn't warn you Hey, if you want to learn how to build stuff with AI check out playmakers AI.com It's my own private community where we are becoming AI consultants We are finding paying customers paying hundreds or thousands or sometimes tens of thousands of dollars per month We've got hundreds of hours of content three to eight live calls with experts every week Myself included and it's all found at playmakers AI.com. We'll see you there. Okay, so I just got out of massage and during the massage I of course didn't have my phone So I of course was able to think and I was thinking about crock bot. Believe it or not and I was wondering what it could do I've never used crock bot before. This is not sponsored by crock bot It's just me wanting to try the new AI thing. So crock bot is an agentic AI tool in other words It's an AI tool that goes out and actually does stuff for you and not just returns answers to you So some of my best videos have been the ones where I'm out and about doing something I get a business idea and then instead of just building it I build it on screen. So that's what this is going to be today I'm downloading crock bot for the first time ever. Here's the business idea that I had So I want to build a product that does not exist I want to build it for myself because I think this will help me be more productive But I think I could also sell I could sell access to any other people if I were productive So you've maybe heard of the concept of time boxing right a lot of successful people time box They literally go to their calendar and say you know 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. meditation 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. e-mails 9 a.m. to do They schedule and plan out there their entire day so they're more productive not my thing But it's hard for me to be accountable to a calendar event that no other human is a part of right Whereas if I put money into something I will be accountable to it I will do that thing but that's not what this idea is my idea is to lock me out of my inbox For the majority of the day so I have to get caught up on my emails in a specific time frame So it's like forced time boxing right as opposed to like I put it in my calendar So now I'm gonna do it. No, you won't I won't you won't so Originally this was going to be an app that locked everything on my computer except for my mail app or gmail.com That way while working during the work day I was forced to get caught up on my emails during that time I couldn't get distracted browse Twitter whatever, but I don't really like that So instead I'm gonna do the opposite and I'm going to lock down gmail.com and my mail app for 90 plus percent of the time 95 plus percent of the time on some days It will be completely locked like on the weekend so I don't work, but during the week It will be unlocked it will be usable until like 10 am that way I will feel pressure to get caught up on on my emails because that's something that I struggle to do that way I have to finish my emails until 10 or else I won't get another shot until the next day I think that pressure will force me to be more productive and I can use this app for other things Not just email, but for making sure that I just do what I need to do on the computer like it will literally block certain websites For certain apps so either I have to stay in there or I can only use it for a defined period of time So I could vibe code this, but I want Grockbot to vibe code it for me because I just had this conversation with Billy And he's a Grockbot expert and he said he's never tried it He's never had Grockbot go into Rapplet for him, prompt it for him, and then fix it, test the website, test the software, look at the code, test it back and forth Because that's the hardest and most tedious part of vibe coding something is getting it to being perfect Or close enough to perfect to sell the thing or to use the thing yourself So that's what I'm going to do here Okay, I'm installing Grockbot Okay, okay Alright, it wants me to connect a bunch of stuff I don't want it to do a bunch of stuff Billy said, my friend Billy said that you want to treat Grockbot like an employee, right? A good boss, and I'm not saying I'm good to boss because I'm not very good at doing this A good boss does not tell an employee, do this, now try this, do this, do this, do this, do this, try this work project, work on that project I do that, it's not good A good boss says, this is your job, just do this, just focus on this That's what I'm going to do here So I'm not going to connect it to any of this stuff Okay, now I'm going to go into Claude, and I want Claude to know what I'm doing Alright, here's my prompt, I'm going to use Grockbot to code an app for me that I can use myself and eventually sell I want to prompt Grockbot to go into my Repplet account to build this for me Not just build it, but build test fix, build test fix over and over until it's ready The app needs to allow me to open Windows Of time, where my Mac mail app plus gmail.com is only accessible from 5am to 10am every day of the week Outside of those hours, I cannot visit either Gmail inside my arc slash curl browser Or even open my mail app, this is intended to force me to get to inbox zero every morning since this will be my only opportunity I can unlock this lock with a password, but ideally only with my wife knows this I guess it needs to function like a Mac app or a Chrome extension or both But Grockbot needs to first build a workable version of this that I can use for myself and ultimately build a website and sell this app as a SaaS on this website Using my Stripe Baby, and anything else it needs Write a beautiful prompt that is Grockbot friendly using all the technical coding terms I know nothing about so I can just build this with as little intervention for me as possible It is okay to approve any and all replete overages and charges without my approval Not exceeding $100 a day, I really don't want to mess with this Grockbot needs to keep testing the app for bugs and asking replete to fix it over and over again Okay, push back from Claude, the blocker has to live on your Mac Yes, replete builds web apps A website can never force quit your mail app So the real build is a Mac menu bar app plus a browser extension Two things an AI agent physically cannot do for you Create your Apple Developer account and your Chrome Web Store Dev account Budget 20 minutes total for those Test the hub at first for $0 It is structured in phases with an autonomous build test, actually Okay, so I don't know what any of this stuff means, but I'm going to try it We're going to copy it We're going to go back to Grockbot, Claude named it Morning Lock So we'll just go with that, even though I don't like it Okay, there's the prompt Okay, so it's working Ask me for anything you need so I can walk away and be confident You can work uninterrupted credit card number, logins, etc Okay, we're going to authorize Stripe We're going to go back to Stripe Test mode, authorize, recent Okay, that was very easy So it's going to do GitHub and Replet next Okay, I'm not 100% that I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing But it looks like extension test, that means Chrome extension I think it's already building this thing in the background And it just tested 23 different things and all of them were green So that's kind of wild GitHub, okay, so it says open that, sign that device Continue, authorize, okay, GitHub is ready 30 done, what the crap? Is it already done? They just put the thing in my downloads It's right there Okay, Mac, Menu, Bar, App Okay, so just built a Chrome extension Okay, open Chrome, call and slash slash extensions Okay, there it is Okay, those are all the domains that's going to block Okay, there's the accountability password Confirm and start It already works, oh my gosh, guys I've only been recording this, you're seeing the edited version But it's only been recording for 31 minutes and 37 seconds And it's done And then I can change the settings It's locked right in there Oh yeah, of course it's locked Yeah, because it's supposed to be locked Oh my gosh, it works That's crazy But let's say, you know, today is Friday at 4.34 pm So we're going to say this should be unlocked on Friday until 10 pm today Save schedule, okay? Now, we've got a Gmail, and it works Change it back Save schedule, go back to Gmail And it's locked Okay That's amazing Look, and I have this tweet pulled up right here I was going to like live tweet this But I didn't have time to hit tweet How's the Mac app coming? Need my Replet login? Glad it's sticking, check the Mac app Ooh, what if I had Grockbot go into my Replet account and finish All of the projects that I have like 90% finished Spell got it wrong, whatever All right, we're good It's signed in a Replet It's signed into GitHub for me GitHub is a place where you can store code Okay, it's pizza night So I got to step away for a minute I'll be right back Guys, I did it We did it together We have a sellable product here It's done I want to show you something real quick Okay, right here Okay, so look what happens When I click this little lock icon up here on my Mac I think you can see that This pops up And I added some more features off camera Because I couldn't help myself And now it does all kinds of other things So unlocks my mail But then in addition The Chrome extension right here Okay, look at this It pulled in my most visited websites That was one prompt And I can block all of them I can block none of them I can block all but one So hey, stop looking at YouTube Studio And this could be embarrassing Right, you can see everything I look at here There's no editing here RV rental websites Whatever I can block all of these none of these So I can lock in And then I can even send my password to a spouse A loved one, whatever So they have to be the one to unlock it for me So I didn't tell it how to look What colors to use What the user interface should look like It just built this for me Freaking incredible And it works And I'm using it Now I need to sell it That's going to be on part two So stick around And look, here are my prompts here It wasn't that long It didn't take that long Can you have a list out all the most commonly used apps And websites on that computer And browse Ur to make it easier for the user to block one that they struggle with. Boom, done. The icon doesn't work. Boom, fix, cool. Everything works. So, I don't know if this is clear or not, but this is not a sponsored video for Rockpot. Nobody paid me to post this video. I just think this is transformative, and you can profit from it. So, please enjoy it. Please share it with a friend. We'll see you next time on the corner office. Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Grockbot is a mission-focused AI agent that excels at executing tasks and building products, unlike chatbots that only generate responses.
  2. It works best when used with a clear, single objective—such as launching a newsletter or managing sales—rather than being overused for personal tasks like managing emails or appointments.
  3. Grockbot can autonomously build, test, and refine apps or services through iterative cycles, including integration with tools like Shopify, Stripe, GitHub, and Repplet, making it ideal for entrepreneurs building revenue-generating solutions.

Summary:

FAQs

Grockbot is an AI agent that automatically performs tasks and runs business operations, unlike chatbots that only provide answers. It's designed to act like a builder or employee, focusing on mission-critical tasks and executing them without constant human input.

Grockbot has a 'bias for action' and is built to do real work, such as managing sales, research, or scheduling, rather than just generating text. It's more mission-oriented and runs on a mission-focused workflow, unlike tools that focus on conversation and idea generation.

Yes, Grockbot can be used to build, test, and refine apps and services. Users can prompt it to create, develop, and iterate on products—such as a productivity tool or Shopify store—using tools like GitHub and Stripe without needing to code manually.

Start by defining a clear value proposition and offer, then build a minimal three-agent team focused on that one idea. For example, create an agent to handle sales, one for research, and one to monitor emails or website traffic to generate revenue.

Yes, but only if you set strict permissions. Users can limit access to specific accounts—like a $200 credit card limit—and firewall sensitive data (like personal emails or IDs) to ensure only relevant data is accessible to agents.

It can, but it's best to focus on one mission at a time. Overloading with too many tasks or agents leads to inefficiency. The best approach is to assign each agent a single, well-defined responsibility to maintain clarity and performance.
