Major Training Camp Injuries to Monitor and the Top Four Hottest NFL QBs With Mina Kimes

The episode dives into the chaotic state of NFL training camps, focusing heavily on the San Francisco 49ers, who are reeling from a wave of injuries affecting key players across offense and defense. Receiver Ricky Parasol, a first-round pick, is out for the season after sustaining a recurring PCL injury, while Mike Evans and Christian Kern are also sidelined. The defensive line is similarly decimated, with multiple players injured. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has faced a near-fatal car accident, resulting in severe concussion symptoms, including migraines, decision fatigue, and sensitivity to noise—raising serious concerns about his ability to manage the team's game-day demands. The show also highlights the controversial presence of a large electrical substation adjacent to the 49ers’ practice facility, sparking debate over whether it negatively influences player performance. Despite skepticism about the substation’s impact, the team’s situation is seen as one of the most vulnerable in the league. The discussion extends to fantasy football rankings, where players question the value of injured or uncertain starters, especially with key players like Debo Samuel and Mike Evans in flux. Other teams, such as the Rams and Falcons, are also under scrutiny due to injury concerns, including Aaron Donald’s potential return and Michael Penix Jr.’s ACL recovery. The episode underscores how injuries and coaching fatigue are disrupting team stability, while also poking fun at media hype and misinformation—such as AI-edited highlights and conspiracy theories. Ultimately, the narrative emphasizes that the NFL’s current season may be defined by resilience amid adversity, with teams relying on health, recovery, and leadership to survive.

Heifetz, that beginning was a little bit representative of what's happening in training camp. Everyone's getting hurt. DK, nice. Nice. Not necessarily in mid-season form quite yet. That's fine. Yeah. There's just no shot. Craig, Kenny Pickett is starting. You got to watch it. Yeah, come on. Is he really? Good for him. Guess what team he's on. There's 1% of me that's still thinking. Pickett, Pickett. He's got that it factor, you know? He's on the Carolina Panthers, by the way. Okay, good. That's nice. In case anyone was wondering. 28 years old. Still plenty of time. All right. Whatever, however you got here, we'll just stick with us during the season. We're going to get to all the news from training camp. But first, we're going to take a quick break. This episode is presented by Verizon. Let me tell you all about Verizon's new simplicity plan. You get one plan, one price, just $30. $30 a line per month, even for a single line. Head to Verizon.com today. For new customers, $30 per line includes auto pay and switch discount. Additional taxes, fees, and terms apply. Unlimited data is restricted. To on-device smartphone usage, domestic data roaming at 2G speed. All right, all the news from training camp. We have to start with the San Francisco 49ers. I think they're officially cursed. I think they're literally cursed. Anything, DK, so for those who don't know, this is unbelievable. Most of this has just happened since we last recorded an episode. So the 49ers receiver and former first-round pick, Ricky Parasol, is out for the season. He's brutal. Absolutely brutal. We talked him up at our sleeper episode, and then, of course, immediately, he had swelling in his knee and asked to get surgery to fix it. He's going to be out all year. The same PCL injury he injured last September, so 11 months ago, 10 months ago, basically. And now he's getting surgery on it. This is now going to be three straight seasons. The first three seasons of his career are basically going to be completely cut out by injuries. Ricky Parasol, he's going to miss 32 games across his first three seasons. Yeah. I mean, he was a first-round pick, I think. Obviously, and he's 25 years old, so he's still got time, but this is obviously a really, really brutal start to his career. So I want to get to Parasol and just that draft class in a second, but the Parasol thing almost is now part of a larger story, because you're like, okay, there's other receivers to step up. So let me tell you a little bit about the San Francisco 49ers. Mike Evans, who they also signed in free agency, is now missing today. We recorded this Monday, August 3rd. Mike Evans is now going to miss today with a quad strain. And then the other free agent receiver, the 49ers signed, Christian Kern. He's already missing practice with a calf strain. Well, that's all right. The Niners used the first pick of the second round. 33rd overall pick on DeJuan Stripling, another receiver. He is also out with a strained hamstring. The backup running back, Jordan James, somehow broke, I believe, multiple ribs during non-padded practice. I don't know how that's even possible to break ribs during non-contact pads. I don't know, yeah. The other running back fighting for the third-string job, Kalen Black, has an abductor injury. So just the Niners' offense now, including George Kittle's recovery from a torn Achilles, is down to number one. Number two, number three, and number four receivers. The number one tight end, George Kittle, and the numbers two and three running backs. And then on top of it, the defensive, they're down half a dozen defensive linemen, including Nick Bosa coming back from his torn ACL, to the point where the Niners can barely practice with first and second strings because there are so many defensive linemen that are injured. This all happened more or less before August 2nd. Which I say, DK. You didn't even mention, well, maybe you did. Sorry, I wasn't listening. Kyle Shanahan almost lost his mind. And the head coach. Almost lost his eye, but healthy. The coach. Sorry, the things that Kyle Shanahan said that are hard for him. Multiple people speaking to him at the same time. Loud music. And decision-making. Those are the things Kyle Shanahan says. He got a severe concussion in this. In the car accident. And again, I'm glad he's alive. It sounds like if Kyle Shanahan wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he would have died. So I'm glad Kyle Shanahan's alive and also wears seatbelts. DK, I got to tell you, I've really dismissed this whole substation thing. I've been like, this is a funny meme. And then I'm like, people. And I was like, come on. This isn't real. I have to admit, I'm starting to wonder about the substation. Here's the deal. I'm exactly the same as you. I thought it was funny. Craig loves it when I say here's the deal. Here's the deal. The poem wasn't taking reservations. You're a fucking dog. Yeah. Here's the deal. No, I was the exact same as Heifetz, where it was like a funny bit. Ha ha. They're right next to an electrical substation. But when you see any video that you see of the 49ers practices in, in training camp, I don't think, I don't think we've considered just how gigantic and looming this substation is. It's like, it does literally loom large. It's right next to their like practice field. Do you, are, do you, people are not going to want to try and live underneath power lines or like next to these giant substations. They're usually out in the middle of nowhere. It's crazy to me that their practice facility is quite literally right next to this thing. It's, it's, it's, it's like being next to a giant factory, a smoke stacks spewing out black smoke. Literally the other side of the fence in the substation. And I can't pretend. If they throw the ball too far, it gets fucking zapped in the substation. It's like, oh God, we ran out of balls. Look, I can't pretend to know what every practice facility looks like in the NFL. Okay. I don't know, but this has to be the, this has to be the most bleak visually. A hundred percent. Like spend the money to build a dome or something or get, or cause they got a fence. I'm sorry, but some, I'm like vibes do matter. You know what I mean? Even if it's placebo placebos work for a reason, seeing the substation, like I'm starting to believe in it. However, I'm not making this about Seahawks versus 49ers, even though they are rivals, but the Seahawks practice facility is actually one of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen in my life. Right on Lake Washington. Like the lake is right there over on a hill. You get that, you get that lake breeze, moist air. Some of the players take fricking, like seaplanes or their boats to practice. Like it is the, it's the most idyllic practice facility I've ever seen in my life. And then the 49ers are practicing inside a fricking electric factory. Like it's crazy. It is insane. And again, I have been very much like this whole substation thing. Stupid. Cause the real answer to me is just Kyle Shannon. There are three coaches left to practice really hard. It was John Harbaugh with the Ravens, Shannon with the Niners, Andy Root, the chiefs. And those teams have been three of the four most competitive teams in the NFL the last like eight years with the Eagles. Right. And it's like, well, practicing hard gets you really far in the playoffs. And the chiefs just happened to win. So in Andy Reeves practices, when the chiefs get hurt, they're like, well, that's part of the process. The Ravens and Niners, the players complain about it. Cause they haven't actually won the super bowls, but they clearly it works. And I will say though, even though I think I could point to all the scientific evidence and they're like, well, there's no studies that say any of this does anything to you. And like, Oh, like all this stuff, like the facility has been there for a longer time. I'm like, yeah, I look into the science. I have to say, I don't think it's true. Having said that, I don't like standing that close to the microwave. No, I don't like. to stand right there and i don't think it's i'm sure it's fine for me but i don't want to put my head there and i will say even if you think that substation stuff's not true i'm telling the players think it's true and confidence affects execution and those players having to look at that giant fucking thing every time like going to practice every day and like hearing hearing the buzzing in your ears like the whole time you're practicing can't be good everyone is like dropping around like flies i do think the i do think there's actually a problem birds at our practice field look it's it's gonna affect the players it's curses work how long did it take for the red sox to win a world series 85 years 86 years you know what i mean sometimes sometimes that's how it goes sometimes it's real i think you had the it does seem like the substation is larger in every photograph it gets bigger every time you see it it gets bigger and closer with every subsequent video i see of someone catching a pass at 49ers practice it's going to be on the field next week you know look knock on wood mccaffrey is healthy and that seems to be the only thing that matters for the niners like since mccaffrey has joined the niners the seasons like the the only season where the niners weren't good was the season where mccaffrey only played four games it doesn't really matter who the pass catchers are shanahan and purdy and the niners offense can withstand whatever happens as long as mccaffrey is playing and they went 12 and 5 last year um with kittle played 11 games pierce all played nine they're basically just throwing a kendrick bourne and juwan jennings uh but they had mccaffrey for all 17 so it seems to be like mccaffrey is the one who who is the glue that holds us all together regardless of of the receivers in the tight ends and how healthy they are so what are you guys thinking now about the niners and like in terms of fantasy rankings like mike evans i think we have to look he has a quad thing right now but i'm obviously not docking him for that pierce all's out for the year evans has to now be you know we just tweaked our rankings but like evans has got to be fringe top 15 fantasy wide receiver pick right now wouldn't you agree well we have we have him ranked as the wide receiver 26 i think he has to be higher than that with with kittle not starting the season and pierce all out how was he he cannot be 26 yeah it's just a matter of like the other guys around him and he also is missing practice right now i know it's august 30 he's got a quad thing it's like probably fine i'm sure i think i might move all these 49ers down to be honest because my issue the biggest thing with all this one look we've been doing this long enough now what great electric season starts with everyone's hurt and the players are actually freaked out i'm just saying like it's weird it's weird but the other one i'll say i think the biggest issue with the niners this season is the kyle shanahan thing and again i will just san francisco chronicle um have one of the reporters talk to kyle shanahan for like 40 minutes and then i'm like oh my god i'm like oh my god i'm like oh and he was really reflective like basically it was a near-death experience like kyle shanahan like he you know he's been talking about concussions life all these things and we always used to joke the whole like maybe it won't be live sunday but he seems to be very rattled by it like it was very serious car accident but the things that again kyle shanahan said that he's getting these like really hard really bad headaches and migraines and it's a very serious concussion and he said that again like his family was saying that he can't figure out lunch like lunch salad or sandwich like it's like the decision fatigue um of just picking lunch he's like agonizing for him and he can't make any decisions he can't be around people if multiple people are trying to talk to him he gets a huge headache um the and again the other yeah so decisions headache and the other one was loud music like he was at practice and i think he had to walk out because the the music at the practice was so loud it was giving a splitting headache now on one hand he has 30 days or so to recover for week one on the other hand i again i'm very happy that kyle shanahan's like alive and all this but like not to be like macabre in terms of kyle shanahan being the play caller for the 49ers do we think kyle shanahan's going to be 1000 recovered from this in 30 days it's impossible to know that yeah yeah it's impossible to know that i agree so with that said is there any team that's more reliant on their head coach play caller in the nfl or for our fantasy rankings than the niners are on kyle shanahan yeah i mean all of it's based on the faith that he's going to make all the play calls have to be in in six seconds like like they have to get they have to decide and then start saying the the call in about seven seconds that's 60 times a game kyle and not to mention timeouts challenge all the other things kyle shanahan has to do in that headset with the loud music a lot of different people talking to you i i'm just saying i'm not trying to make light of his energy i'm trying to talk about how many mental decisions a head coach has to make it's overwhelming there's a reason jim harbaugh wears the same clothes every day so i i i don't know i i don't know i i i basically i'm saying is i take what he's going through very seriously in the end i don't know i don't know i don't know i feel like the the flight to australia is going to be hard for him never mind like coaching the game there i don't know i think that this is a very serious thing the night it's gonna have the first thing i was thinking of when i you when you were laying that all out i was like yes i mean shanahan's got to be one of the more irreplaceable head coaches in terms of what he brings as a play caller play sequencer designer all that stuff um and it's like one of those things where you just can't replace that the like you said the split second decision making easily and he's been around the game since he was a baby right like he grew up in everything he grew up around the game he was in locker rooms his whole life he's been a play caller for a long time he's been a head coach now for a long time and then i looked at their offensive coordinator i was like oh it's clay kubiak he's been he's also been around the game for his entire life he comes from the exact same family of play callers um and so you know maybe like we end up seeing kubiak call some plays um of course that is the uh brother of clint kubiak um and several other k acts i don't remember three k klein kubiak and that's that's the that's the worst number of yeah there's multiple k's um infamously but anyway and i'm not trying to say he kyle shannon won't be able to coach this season or anything i'm just saying am i being no i think it's earlier i'm reading this no no no i think it's reasonable very reasonable concern to have yes but it's one of those things where like in a couple weeks maybe he's feeling back to normal and everything's fine or this lingers into the season it's a brain injury we have no way of predicting yeah if shannon has a setback in the middle of the year what's he gonna do tell us you know what i mean like that's very difficult for him but also it's you know how hard it is you know what's little sleep you get like it's not like it's easy for him to go to the staff and saying oh i'm dealing with it's that's a very complicated injury to be dealing with while you run an organization and you're dealing with the grind and you're trying to set the tone for your players and it's like do you report cognitive symptoms do you not like it's very complicated i don't think we have any sample size for and we've never seen a season like this where the head of the team is like oh head coach is very openly talking about i have these issues going in the season the season starts in five weeks i just i don't know and it's weird to look at our rankings and like everything with the 49ers is based on how good kyle shannon is it is pretty remarkable that that for a team that once had their star player have bilateral achilles tendonitis that this is the worst injury vibes coming into the season with this team right and he's the healthiest player now as mccaffrey so with that said so he also signed debo samuel to back to the niners yeah yeah after his year-long journey with washington to deal with that so would you we have mccaffrey right now ranked fifth i think that's my first question is would you still take mccaffrey over jsn or monrest st brown with all this i still think you take the risk on mccaffrey because the upside is you're gonna win your league if he's healthy okay mike evans we have around luther bird and garrett wilson christian watson roma dunes a the mid 50s i know i personally would have them higher than my garrett wilson but you think it should be more like we say flowers jalen waddle davante adams i think so dk i don't like i don't hate that i think i'd be willing to move them up a little bit i think i did see the news today it said that they said it was a very minor quad injury so if it was like a serious thing that they were talking about we'll see you in a couple weeks like that would make me really worried but it sounds more like it's a just day to day type of deal i think it's a it sounds worse than it is but i think it's a we can't have you hurt so we're yeah yeah it's a veteran yeah so debo samuel this one we have to figure out where we want to put him right now we have him you know it's like the 55th receiver but i think the question is how high would you take debo do you think debo should be you know yeah especially with shriveling hurt now too i'm kind of getting interested in debo because you know and hyphens always makes fun of me for this like looking at highlights from from you know practices and everything i will say the video that they showed of him running into practice he looks skinny he looks svelte he looks like he's in really good shape that was not the case last year it's not the it's not been the case with him for a couple years that he's been like in really good shape so obviously a lot has to do with him staying healthy but they're already talking about using him in the ways that they used him when he was on the 49ers a couple years ago so i don't know i think he's certainly interesting as a late round flyer i think if he's in shape which he looks to be that's great and he could be a big part of their offense would you rather have debo samuel or matthew golden unlike the packers probably start an ex-receiver for them like romeo dubs did probably take the risk on matthew golden i would i'd want to go after the upside i'm not a big golden believer so i probably would take debo there it's funny that debo had the second most catches of his career last year i did not feel like it yeah well it's meaningful it's like you know meaningful touches anyway uh okay anything else on the niners before we move on get healthy i don't think this team's gonna make the playoffs i gotta i'm also pulling the niners out of the playoffs i just i just this is a crazy thing for me to i mean yeah a lot depends too like we didn't really talk about it but a lot depends too on their defense i mean their defense was really bad last year and it was mainly because of a million injuries but how confident are you that they can stay healthy this year is kind of bosa's also coming off right again they're down half a dozen defensive linemen that are sidelined too anyway uh i also want to just mention because ricky parasol is injured that i want to mention i just want to go over the 2024 nfl draft the receiver class is even after two years they always say it takes three years to evaluate a class and that is true but man what a strange group of people yeah so the receiver class the fourth pick overall was marvin harrison jr two years in we don't know what to do with them the sixth pick was the giants like malik neighbors who looked truly elite but now has knee issues and we don't know what to do with him two years in we don't know what to do with him roman dunes a who had a foot injury we don't know what to do with them brian thomas jr two years in this is hilarious dude 1400 yards as a rookie for brian thomas and then last year was like made we get we we named brian thomas the the most disappointing fit to pick an all fantasy football last year yeah more than jefferson uh the next and then from there it goes off the rails the 28th pick chief traded up for xavier worthy in the first round i know what to do with him he just hurt his shoulder by the way again he he had cool catch in the end zone landed on his right shoulder had to leave after and like it's august after he hurt his shoulder landing running into kelsey on the third snap of the season look if i if i lose my fantasy season because i because xavier worthy turned into what the next tyree kill and i i didn't see it coming i'm fine with that but i i'm not going to be gambling on xavier worthy every single year i agree six he's 5 11 165 pounds again he ran into kelsey and had a shoulder injury that needed surgery it's just not a ride i want to be on i was 5 11 165 in seventh grade damn were you really yeah you were a hoss actually i might have been six foot 165 in seventh grade yeah dude i grew i was like really tall when i was in middle school and then i just slowly just became average height as as everyone else grew in high school i was like i was like i was like i was like i was like i was in high school you would have looked like i went from being a five in basketball to a three and then sometimes a two and now you're like point guard height sure i'm shrinking yeah you would have looked like my father if we were in seventh grade together i was probably five feet flat yeah that's funny five feet flat hundred pounds if you're worthy uh the 31st pick in that first round was ricky the ricky parasol for the niners who i think has been great when he's been on the field but again could have his 32 games his first three years and then obviously his rookie year um had the shooting i know we bring it up all the time i think the only thing weirder than bringing up that ricky parasol got shot all the time is talking about how he's injured but not bringing it up i think that's weirder okay okay all right let's keep going yeah sure the panthers traded up for xavier leggett with the last pick of the first round who is now at absolute best the number three receiver for the panthers the bills uh first pick of the second round was kian callman who the owner of the bills then called out in the press conference as a reason that mcdermott was getting fired this is tough the chargers took took lad mcconkey with the 34th pick who's also i mean clearly the best receiver of this group i think of this stretch yeah and then the patriots traded back with the charges took jaylen poke for the patriots who just retired this week at 24 years old he has 12 catches in his career with 87 career yards and he missed all the shoulder injury and jaylen poke was retired at 24 yep it's kind of wild and then the the colts dumped him after a year and a half and 32 catches and 80 mitchell never even scored a touchdown for the colts he's on the jets now the jets had met took malachi corley who had five touches and is off the team after one year he's five like literally five touches for the team that drafted him the bangles had jermaine burton in the third round who was all four cratches in his career is out of the nfl at 25 years old and then roman wilson who has 166 yards in two seasons is somehow one of the few players still on the team he's making some good buzz though so far every year roman wilson gets good buzz and it's been an abject disaster isn't this a bizarre list oh it's supposed to be a great class if these guys aren't on the team wasn't i can't i was trying to remember what what we talked about during this time period were we were we thinking this was supposed to be a really good receiver class i imagine with harrison and neighbors in the first yeah i think harrison neighbors and odunze were considered pretty elite and to and then thomas jr too yeah if we had to do a uh if we had to steal from bill and do a redraftables is neighbor neighbors one roma dunzey two lad mcconkey three just yeah and then depends on how you feel about brian thomas i think maybe even live mcconkey second uh lat if you're talking about health like if everyone's right now you're just drafting guys again right now would you go neighbors then mcconkey then odunze i think neighbors has to go first i think i would take lat over marvin harrison and the marvin harrison's probably third oh i don't even i think i'd take roma dunzey oh i would say i would still take marvin over i don't know it's weird what do we do with marvin harrison the whole thing it's just it's bizarre i got no idea man it's it's really hard not to anchor to what you thought when they were coming out um i would probably go neighbors lad odunze harrison or thomas and then and then harrison i probably i probably like chips on the table would probably go brian thomas over harrison i still think he's good i i'm buying low and thomas i think i think harrison i think harrison has a chance to win i think harrison has a chance to win to be good but i don't think he's ever going to be as good as we thought if you go against training camp sort of like buzz and highlights like right now the the vibes are pretty horrible on marvin harrison like i i just saw the other day on twitter like a highlight reel of him dropping a bunch of passes from like training camp i'm like if you go against that which is like sort of what we did with the jamar chase can't catch because there's stripes on the football thing then maybe marvin harrison has a great season but right now the vibes are pretty horrific i think i think as a this year i'm not that interested i mean the fact that it's to kobe brissett and then the cardinals got nothing to play for by the end of the year in the fantasy playoffs it might be carson beck throwing a marvin harrison i don't want to ride the ride with marvin harrison jr i i just don't maybe he's great he's a smart by low and the cardinals throw the most passes again again michael wilson i think ran the second most routes of any receiver which is one of the reasons that you know it's probably to come back to earth but i the marvin harrison thing i just i just can't anymore malik neighbors there was a problem too so malik neighbors again my beloved receiver for the giants who has barely put up a good game and he's not going to be able to put four games in a row healthy in his career so far it's been very snip snap like the emotional toll i've i've dealt with with my neighbors so he tore his acl meniscus which was a huge snip and then he was going to be ready for training camp which was a snap of relief and then he was behind schedule and maybe going to be ready for week one which was snip again and then neighbors did not get placed in the physically unable to perform list which was a snap again where it's like okay maybe we'll be ready for week one and people like oh he's running routes i'm like i don't know i i'm still gonna see but i'm not as convinced as everyone else that just because neighbors is like doing individual drills he's like magically should be a top second round pick again i don't know i i have a much lower than you guys we have them 41st in our rankings especially the way harbaugh practices poor neighbors goddamn right squatting 600 pounds every week my fingers hurt you just pulled land pull landscaping duty i love i love pull landscaping let's see about neighbors i very much want to see where he is in a week or two but i i am prepared i part of me is i i'm a little worried about the optimism around we'll see what happens it's one of those things that you always talk about where it's like if we just didn't if you just didn't pay attention to august if you just like looked at last year you're like oh he tore his acl and he had to get another surgery ah i'm probably not going to take that guy like that's probably all you would need to do and you just have to don't read any of the buzz over like oh he looks good actually he's going to sit out oh he's running routes well he might not play week one it's madden brain where it's like when your guy is hurt and madden you can put him back if he's a 97 overall you're put him back in he's a 97 overall instantaneously and in reality when you ramp up from an injury you have to come back from well he's in a boot he can't walk that's a zero and you have to ramp back up to 97 and just because you're running routes on a field in shorts people like oh cool he's in 97 it takes time to become a 97 overall again like it's just you know it's not magic how did you feel about the reports from our guy ben solak that jackson dart looks like shit um so like why don't you say it to my face ben someone who is saying to my face ben ben sounded like a disappointed father talking about jackson dart he was like footwork was a mess just looked immature out there in front of john harbaugh come on ben's telling it looks immature ben ben looks 23 years old still you know what maybe ben's immature come at me ben hi fitz geez his garden looks rude solak's garden looks great he's growing a lot of caris so you're not concerned about dart that's what you're saying of course i'm concerned about dart that's why i'm concerned about dart that's why i'm concerned about dart that's why he's speaking directly to hyphen he's speaking directly to hyphen's deepest darkest fears i'm very concerned that the giants are going to be the most disappointing team in the nfl i know i can't tell last in the division i i want nothing more all i want from john harbaugh is the giants i believe have been eliminated from the playoffs mathematically at thanksgiving nine of the last 10 years just get me to thanksgiving dinner without being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs the bar couldn't be lower and i'm concerned that maybe they won't be yeah i'm i think neighbors looks great i think he's he's looking explosive out there guys electric the way he's running routes he's fine rishi rice on the other hand looks like me when i first get out of bed you know what though rishi rice always looks like that to me like every time he's always just kind of lumbering over the middle field like limping yeah all i know is this if rishi rice is on the field he's gonna get 13 targets every day that's fair that's fair because they got no one else to throw to they have 37 year old travis kelsey who also looks a little worse for wear do - I don't know if- - Yeah. - I saw a picture of, Kelsey, I don't know if it's real or not. I agree. I want to believe that it's not real. Dude, I had to squint. I was like, is that Jason? Yeah. Ever since the Debo got AI enlarged last year, I had the same thought, the Kelsey thing. I was like, I need to verify if this is even true. Also, I was told the Dak Prescott giant arms picture was fake, which is kind of a disappointment for me. We're in such a nasty place. I don't know what to fucking believe anymore. It sucks. So it's one of my friends, who I will not name, thought people took the Tony Romo. He was charged with operating while intoxicated, and they had the body cam footage. And someone AI edited it so that he was doing the Dak warm up. I saw that. It looks pretty good. One of my friends thought that was real, that he was doing the hip thing before the walking line. And I'm like, buddy, we're so fucked. Oh, my God. I can't believe you couldn't figure out. That's never been more over. We're so cooked, man. I just. I still think, ultimately, this could be a good thing. It's going to get us all off these stupid apps. They pushed us too far. Yeah. Follow us on Instagram, though. We're putting up some good stuff. Follow us on Instagram. Yeah. Hot quarterbacks. Yeah. Follow Instagram for the hot quarterback content. You know why? Because you want to get off, but you can't. So come follow us. Should that be our motto? You want to get off Instagram, but you can't. So hit follow. Jesus. Okay. What was the cigarette brand in Mad Men, where they were like, they came up with the new, you know, slogan, it's toasted. Lucky Strike, it's toasted. No, you don't. You're like. No tar. Every cigarette has the same problem. No. It's toasted. Tar is light on this. Yeah, but everyone's toasted. No, no, no. Everyone else's are bad for you. Yours are toasted. Everyone else's cigarettes give you cancer. Ours are toasted. It's sad how much that works. Yeah. Should we put that on our Instagram bio? It's toasted. Just put that in there. It's toasted. Okay. I'm really concerned about neighbors, but I will reserve judgment for another week. This episode is brought to you by Boar's Head. The first to rise, the last to leave. They always have that little extra something. And maybe you've got it too. Chevrolet. Together let's drive. The other one I want to ask you guys about is Aaron Donald, I think, is going to return to the Rams. McVeigh's quotes about it recently, I feel like you're not making those statements unless it's really possible that he comes back. He sounds, just like when you have like a, like a trade and fantasy or something in the bag and you don't even want to talk about it because you're going to jinx it, but that you've been told, do you want to read this, Craig? I'll send it to you. It's right here. Yeah. Oh yeah. I can. Yeah. McVeigh said when asked, I want to keep basically about, yeah, the possibility of Aaron Donald coming back. He said, I want to keep those conversations and timelines between us just as something unforeseen happens out of respect for him in the situation. But I know this, things are going in the right direction. And if there's an arrow, it is trending upwards. Like what the fuck? You are not saying that. I mean, to me, I'm like, I think it's much more likely than not that Aaron Donald. Yeah. Especially after McVeigh, it's the most cautious he's probably ever been with words in his career after the whole Stafford draft, Ty Simpson thing, where he tried to overcorrect and overdid it. And he had to go on the draft TV and actually do a live thing during the draft to make up, like he's being cautious. Aaron Donald's coming back and they're going to put Aaron Donald next to Miles Garrett. And he'll be on a snap count probably. And they'll, they'll kind of use him sparingly, but it's like, this is like a, I feel like a really interesting whole new world of like football that we're entering. Like, I feel like this thing is very unique. What is about to happen with this like Hall of Fame, one of the best defensive players ever who hasn't played in three years coming back and they'll probably use him like a closer or just put him in situations. And it's like, I don't know. It raises questions about like, if this can happen more in sports and what you can do. And it's like, should the Sixers just play joyfully and be every third game? I said multiple times last year that I thought if Aaron Donald came out of retirement during the Rams season last year, they would have won the Superbowl. Yeah. He just needed 15 snaps a game from a month. Third downs. DK as a Seahawks fan in the NFC West, we're basically, these are the two Superbowl favorites. How do you feel about like the greatest defensive tackle of our lifetime coming out of retirement to play with Miles Garrett? Can't this guy just find a hobby? Like what, what are you doing? He has one. Enjoy your retirement. The problem is he's still kind of in shape. Stop trying to ruin my life, man. Go enjoy your money. Go on a vacation. Go freaking read a book. I don't know. I think he's going to be just as good as he was before. Well, I'm terrified. I think he's going to be just like almost nearly as good as he was before. Maybe there's like a slight fall off, but I think he's going to be like dominant. I mean, I kind of agree. We talk about certain players sometimes like when they, when they miss a season or two, it's like, oh, sure. They've aged two years literally, but their legs haven't because they haven't been working. It's a lot, whatever. Donald has been working out under his own conditions, but he may be 35, but he hasn't played football since he's 32. We almost need to get like, you know, I would love if the NFL, like maybe at the combine or something, or maybe I guess they'd have to do it for guys who are a little bit older in the league, but like Brian Johnson, the guy who's trying to live forever, like it'd be cool if they could, I would love to test players on their like biological age. Like I would love to see what Aaron Donald's biological age, like maybe he's like 20. He's probably younger than Ricky Pearsall. Yeah, he's probably like 28. Like, no, I think there is something to that. Alex Rodriguez had not quite the same thing, but I guess it's kind of similar. He was suspended at 38 for performance enhancing drugs and he got a season off and then they tested him extra heavy. So maybe it was the drugs, but that he was, he came back at 39 and he actually hit 33 home runs at 39. And he said, and again, maybe it was because of, you know, other things, but he basically was like having a year off for the first time in 20 years actually helped my body a lot. I think there is something to the defensive line. Look, taking most of the time multiple years off, I wouldn't really think any player could return to their level of play. The only player I would put above Aaron Donald in terms of people I believe could do it is Tom Brady. Aaron Donald is to me the most impressive football player I have seen with my own eyes ever. And he's in practice, in games. I think he's, he's the best defensive lineman I've ever seen. And he's also just the work ethic and everything about him athletically. I really, quarterback, I guess is a different animal, but if anyone can do it, I honestly, I honestly think it's him. I wish you would get into broadcasting. Do something, man. Do anything. Los Angeles is ruining sports. Do you realize that it's like, Stop it. It's not crazy to think that the Dodgers who just got Tariq Scooble are going to win the World Series and then the Rams could win a home Super Bowl in Los Angeles with Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett. And then like three weeks later, there'll be an MLB lockout because of the Dodgers. I don't know. The NFL has a salary cap. I know. I was going to say, what are the Rams doing? The Rams are not out of work. The Rams are just selling all their first round picks. Yeah, the Rams are just doing what I think every team wishes their team would do, which is try to win the Super Bowl. And I respect it. I hate it, but I respect it. Also, didn't the Yankees for like 50 years, weren't the Yankees just doing what the Dodgers are doing now from like the 1920s to the 1950s? Defending lifelong Dodgers fan Craig Wiesen. I'm just saying, this isn't exactly a new thing. Craig is so glad. I'm so glad Craig really put in the time to be a Dodgers fan during the down years. And now he's getting to reap the benefits, really. Thank you, D.K. That's correct. It's been really lovely living in Los Angeles during this run for the Dodgers. About to get our fourth ring in the last, what, six years. Look, anybody could have traded for Scooble. Are you kidding me? They traded three prospects. Anybody could have focused on that. I have to say, I have to say. That was not a money thing. It was just prospects. It's not. I am not a baseball expert, but I thought the package the Dodgers gave up for Tariq Scooble was unbelievably light because it was basically, their fourth best outfielder, this guy, his last name's Hope. Zaire Hope. Zaire Hope. The other two prospects, one of them's 27 years old and came back from a huge elbow injury and has like a four and a half year race. River Ryan. River Ryan. So next year, he'll be 28. It's the most baseball-ass name, by the way, River Ryan. Such a baseball fucking name. But I'm like, I just can't believe the Yankees or no one else could top that. Conspiracy me was like, maybe they just actually want to lock out. It wasn't even, ugh. I know, I know. It's like, it's not like they overpaid for him. They're going to rent him for five months. I will say, it's funny, the Dodgers' crime is wanting to win really bad and paying money to operate at a loss to win games. But the Rams' one, it's funnier to me because the Rams just like really try hard to get great players. So it sounds like in both cases, it's just trying. They're trying to win. It is quite amazing how not every team was trying to win right like look at the Oakland A's you know what I mean like the A's are not trying to win and and they're not winning yeah you know they're actually it's mission accomplished which is why i'm starting to like the fucking dodgers because the a's are not trying to win i will say i i wouldn't give you shit but you when your team moves into a triple a's baseball stadium indefinitely you are allowed to pick it up and be in the why should i try to root for the a's if the a's are not trying to win they literally took the town you're from out of the name of the team yeah what's their official name the the athletics just the athletics man they literally don't have a city anymore because they left but they don't have a new one to go to america's farm team days all the all the best players started the a's mason miller a they all start on the a's that's how i felt for like 20 years craig with the mariners is like man it's really fun seeing all our all the mariners former players win world series with the a's yankees that's god that's awesome oh my god josh donaldson i wonder where he's gonna go wow matt olsen he seems to be good i wonder where he'd go where he'll go anyway it was cooler when the yankees signed all those guys but yeah uh okay other football things i do think i honestly think the rams are gonna win the super bowl staffers all right they they just i mean long season for the fact that they stayed pretty healthy last year to do that again at the advanced age of the entire team is i don't know that's gonna be i think it's gonna be i think the irony will be that everyone made fun of the ty simpson pick but he's gonna play like this year because i don't know okay uh speaking of quarterbacks maybe getting hurt uh i want to mention so michael pennix the quarterback of the falcons we've been talking about two uh is in a quarterback competition with pennix and it's funny because they're both lefties but they actually don't really have anything in common with how they play well they might not play because michael pennix told reporters since we last recorded that he might not even practice for a month because he's still recovering from he had his acl surgery which again is like his third acl and he might not even practice for a month and it could be less than that but considering kevin stefanski is the coach for the falcons now so it's a new offense atlanta's has i i mean i don't even know i mean i'm i'm really curious what you think dk i don't know if michael we've kind of been like oh yeah they'll play michael pennix at some point will they uh probably i think so it's also notable that tua is not practicing right now either because he has a back injury they said it flared up yeah when the falcons started training camp the first day the only quarterback that was healthy on the team because trevor simeon was also hurt that was was uh i never heard this guy jack strands from minnesota state more minnesota state morehead legend um they had to sign cooper rush just so they could have a two quarterbacks yeah someone who could throw passes and i'm like this is to me the summary of the falcons i if tua plays 17 games i'm a little worried bijan robinson will actually be like one of the best fantasy running backs ever yeah this is hard i i do think it's like almost impossible to figure out what to do with these guys because like you said they're uh tua and uh pennix have kind of different styles i think pennix is more guns kind of well pennix is more of a gunslinger trying to push the ball down the field yeah uh tua is like get rid of the ball as quickly as humanly possible so i don't get hit to it i think pennix has like a strong a pretty strong arm can push it to a can't do anything like he has a noodle arm and now he has back injury which i don't love um that's the thing it's not just the concussions with tua back hit he had you know tightrope surgeries at hip ankle he has had a lot of injuries he to me is the most physically limited quarterback maybe that's gonna potentially start this year like physically limited in the fact that he can't push the ball down the field and he can't move um so it's it's a really hard thing to work around that's why the dolphins were essentially like okay we're done with that it is it's gonna be very interesting what happens with atlanta this year because they are a team you do wonder like if they do end up battling injuries with both pennix and tua this year and they kind of bottom out i mean it's supposed to be a great quarterback class in the draft like right the nfc south is getting better much more competitive with carolina with new orleans and with tampa it's like there is a scenario in which atlanta kind of bottoms out gets a top 10 pick in the draft and then now is suddenly like one of the best landing spots for a college quarterback with like london and bijon and pitts like all these guys are still really young and if you just kind of have one bad down year you could maybe just like move on from pennix and just call that a little bit better but i don't think that's going to be the case i don't think that's going to be the case i don't think that's going to be the case i don't think that's going to be the case and start over i completely agree craig i think that is what's going to happen i think the falcons are coming last place in that division for the same reason and um i i totally agree because they actually just gave matthew bergeron who we're just talking about randomly the last episode he's the guard for the falcons they give him a huge extension four years almost 100 million dollars which i don't know if he's one of the best guards in the league but he is good he is an above average guard i have moved drake london to like an early third rounder guy for me i mean it's hard because when when pennix was in there last year he was just feeding london so wide receiver one in fantasy right so like to me that's sort of the upside bet with him the downside bet or the downside worry is everything we just talked about is that the quarterback situation is such a mess and both guys are hurt maybe september 1st yeah i mean it's a valid thing it's totally valid i i i'm a little just kind of at a loss to know what to do with london because i i think it's like more so i'm just betting on his talent and his ability to command targets but these are valid concerns it's an interesting group in these rankings because i feel like london i i have to imagine is going to be a guy who falls in drafts a little bit i think he's kind of like settling into like an as an unsexy pick right now and it it kind of is an odd spot where you have guys like drake london rishi rice who's in his own situation you have pickens who's with cd lamb you have chris alave who i think is a guy that everybody likes but nobody loves um you have technic millen who is another guy that i think everybody likes but nobody loves davante smith is a question mark and then you almost come out of that with like lad mcconkey and jayden wattle and abuka and malik neighbors and zay flowers davante adams it almost gets sexier once you leave this this section of guys where it's like you don't really feel that good about any of them maybe save george pickens right i was gonna say the same thing yeah george pickens kind of stands out to me there too as like maybe we need to move him up and some of these other guys down the other person i mentioned because you mentioned bjorn robinson so him and jayden wattle both have contracts and fantasy but they also just both try to get contracts right yeah hold in extensions yeah jameer gibbs is holding in for the lions i just want to mention that he's not practicing i think the idea of a hold-in is a really genius and hilarious thing the fact that you show up but don't go to work and just hang it out imagine just a guy is going to work and he's just sitting in his cubicle in his chair not doing anything it says here you've been missing a lot of work well i wouldn't say i've been missing it bob the fact that he's like you have to look at me every day it's hilarious vita vea the day after his trade request todd bowles was like yeah vita tweaked his back right can't practice so bjorn isn't signed either yet right no but the falcons are like kind of open that they're gonna pay bjorn robinson whereas the lions are pretending they won't but they're both in silver spots there's no both lines let either guy go they're gonna pay him yeah um the other thing i want to mention is the seahawks dk your seahawks yeah it we were not sure when zack sharpening would come back i kept just kind of doing back of the napkin math is between halloween and thanksgiving because he tore his heel during the playoffs the second round of the playoffs dude he didn't have a he didn't have his surgery for a month later too he didn't get surgery until february 20th i think i saw um so we are currently five months basically five and a half months out from acl surgery he's not gonna play till there's talk that he's gonna start week one i i just think that's kind of crazy i don't think it's a very smart way to manage him if i was the seahawks um yeah i'm like why would you why would you do that it doesn't track it just feels like you'd be risking re-injury um so you know i don't know what's going to happen i have seen sort of just more optimism that he's going to be back pretty early in the season i don't know if that's coming from a place where someone's really well connected or it's just sort of speculation but um the reports i saw from head coach mike mcdonald is like he's not going to give a timeline they're not putting a timeline on it and right now it's basically jadarian price who was their first round pick and george holani who's been around the team for a couple years and then emmanuel wilson who they signed in the offseason so the question is like what do we do with jadarian price i think initially you know here's my issue with jadarian price and i i love jadarian price and i think he was like a better player than maybe people thought but he also had 14 catches in college i think he actually can catch but he just got stuck with jeremy i love at notre dame but fantasy points come from touchdowns and catches for running backs honestly yeah like the fear is that he's gonna get neither exactly so pat corain has this great stat pat corain is the 745 rule and he's like a running back to break out kind of needs a path to seven rushing touchdowns or 45 catches and the problem is projecting jadarian price for 45 catches in a year when he didn't have 14 14 catches in college and then it's like the honestly bigger problem jadarian price kept fumbling at the goal line like you could argue notre dame missed the college football playoff because jadarian price fumbled with the goal line versus miami and he like jadarian price had a lot of fumbles considering how little he actually carried the ball and if you're fumbling and not pass protecting yeah then i'm like okay you're the early down guy but you're probably not maybe the goal line guy and you're maybe not the third down pass guy and then i just think the seahawks backfield is going to be split until zach charbon it comes back between like three guys and you don't want to play any of them you're probably not going to play jadrian price if he doesn't get goal line or passing down work and then who's going to be the passing down guy it's gonna be like emmanuel wilson or george alani and i just i don't know it feels like a three-way backfield that no one will be satisfied yeah three-headed monster is the the main worry here and it's there's just There's so many variables here, the Charbonnet variable kind of hard to know how quickly he'll be back and how much how quickly he'll be sort of taking back over the goal line role or you know pass protecting role which is kind of he kept kenneth walker off the field last year and sharpening also is in a contract year right which is important remember because if he has any sort of setback sharpening's agent might be like don't come back and get injured before yeah maybe sharpening wants to yeah ken walker got super bowl mvp and sharpening is like i want some of that for me um the other variable new play caller i was gonna say we don't know exactly how he's going to split up carries we don't know if he's going to be the type of guy that's going to be riding quote unquote riding the hot hand and like if jaderian price is in there and he's playing well maybe he gets 65% of the snaps or whatever or maybe he's just kind of like kubiak was last year where they have roles where jaderian price is getting the ball between the 20s and then as soon as they get into the red zone they give the ball to zach charbonnet that's like i personally think that's like why walker left he's like i'm not going to get any of these these red zone carries i'm out of here um and so i think that's it for me i think that's it for me i think that's it for me so i don't know the reports so far out of camp for jaderian price have been pretty positive they're using him a lot in the passing game that's sort of been a focus you've seen that from multiple different reporters watching practices that are trying to get him involved in the passing game very often so that's a good sign but again this is all projection right now we don't know exactly how they're going to use them they don't know how the split up is going to be we don't know how the offense is going to look with this new brian flurry guy who has called plays at a nfl at the nfl level so we just don't really know anything about it i feel like what ken walker gave the seahawks was like the the threat of the big play in the running game like a lot of the kubiak system is like even if they weren't that good running the ball it was like the threat of it and like these heavy packages and it was like play action you know you run so that you can pass i i'm a little nervous i'm like what are the seahawks gonna be able to run the ball at all and will defenses sell out to stop the run with this current roster of running backs in situations right now yeah that's that is the question um i think price stylistically has that explosive play potential that that kenneth walker had which is i think why they liked him is because he's a he's a big play creator that's what he did at notre dame um and i think they see him doing that past that i don't know how exactly they see his role i mean i saw from brady henderson espn quote they did not draft price with the thought he'd become a high volume starter right away he will share time with helani and wilson i mean yeah so that's that's that's not great yeah you know and and i think but he's going in the area around a bunch of guys that are going to be in time shares so i don't think he's necessarily mispriced dramatically price 73rd he's like right behind kyle pitts he's by chuba hubbard of the panthers and tony pollard and the titans and jaylen warren and the steelers and you know you know it's like guys that we don't know exactly how their role is going to be split up with their teams but this he's on a good offense like last year the seahawks offense was good um it's just a question of how often he's you know in the game around the goal line so i don't want to have to say it but he's a sixth or seventh round pick just that is i'm not unfortunately i'm not i'm not gonna entertain that texan son jadavian clowny defensive end who joins all the reunions this year debo back to the niners clowny back to the texans gino back to the jets a lot of reunions it's heartwarming yeah 33 years old man the texans defense is gonna be sick when i think of a football mercenary i think of clowny but yeah the texans defense i gotta tell you if you're a fan of the texans defense you're gonna be sick if you told me every player in the nfl played 17 games i kind of think i'd pick the texans to win the super bowl their defense when everyone's healthy is just going to be unbelievable and i think the only thing that can stop them is they really need everyone to be healthy for the tech defense to be that well that i know but i i do think that like they're the bad taste in your mouth that cj stroud left really has is carrying a lot of weight right now and if somebody just told me like if somebody told you cj stroud was going to throw 28 touchdowns nine picks you know throw for 3 800 yards would you just pick them to win the super bowl like if he if he's even just solid you would you pick them to win the super bowl yeah i think if cj stroud's average the texans win the super bowl yes yeah i don't disagree i kind of think they will football or not football r.i.p to them ftn aaron shots yeah their ftn the almanac has the texans as the super bowl winners i i don't think it's crazy at all although you know rogers and the steelers probably should have beaten the texans in the playoffs if rogers didn't have the flu yeah no it's if only he could gotten immunized did you see that yeah i did see that yeah he said it was the flu game he said a lot of things today he kept that quiet he said that among other things yeah he decided to keep that quiet for for months and months that was the one thing he decided not to incredible restraint on his part yeah yeah probably because he played like shit um but yeah rogers had a big day online i have a bad feeling about the the steelers offense this year talking to our guy pat getting getting paid a lot of money to go on tv and i'm like oh my god i'm going to go on tv and i'm going to go on tv and i'm going to talk about how he's canceled the only person getting paid to go on television who's like never silencing me you want to go into it craig um he had some choice words for uh anthony fauci tony fauci tony fauci i love that he calls him tony fauci um that's like an extra tinge of disrespect tony fauci look i want to talk about i want to talk about football you know i don't roman i'm bleeding the fifth like that coward fauci to quote aaron rogers um you know what i want to talk about the fact that aaron rogers is going to play in the preseason at 42 years old hell yeah we got to see what we got with him yeah mike mccarthy wants him to play in the preseason rogers said do i want to do it no but if mike mccarthy wants me to i will he's gonna get rid of the ball faster than any quarterback you've ever seen in your life he just mccarthy he's gonna call immunized for the regular season he's gonna he's gonna audible to a run on every single play yeah love it dude he's so fucking annoying he he really really is is an entertained by himself you can tell that like him sitting there he's like i'm crushing it right now he's like like you know like when you feel what you really feel in yourself and you kind of start shifting he's so satisfied with himself killing this yeah yeah he's like looking around yeah right yeah he's like the guy sitting as far back as he can in the chair yeah he's he just like can't wait to talk about politics at thanksgiving dinner yeah which he will have the opportunity now he will have now now that now well now that he's uh this is gonna be a short reunion i think he said on behalf of his wife who helped him reunite with his family look that's great i didn't see jordan in the photos though i saw everyone else not i don't think he was there yeah i think jordan i thought jordan was jordan there i didn't see him in the photos but he's still there okay all i'll say about rogers is i once again will just say that it's the jamie lannister line of when he was there and he was there and he was there and he was there and jamie's like i don't care what anyone thinks of you and tywin lannister's like that's what you want people to think about you and all he all he does is scroll fucking twitter for his name and google search his name and then just talk about how he doesn't give a fuck what people think do you think it's cool though you think you're hyphus do you think you're on his people to kill list i um you know it's funny you say that can i give you guys a conspiracy theory please do do you think aaron rogers seeks out people who shit talk him probably yeah like the content not the people like you know steph curry searches during halftime sure yeah like aaron rogers probably searches for aaron rogers content right do you think that we put out a lot of social media content of me shit talking aaron rogers yeah i can't remember do you think there's a chance aaron rogers watched any of my shit talking yeah sure um do you think it's impossible that aaron rogers decided to announce his return to the steelers during my wedding for a reason i forgot about that yeah there's something there impossible that he did that on purpose see now you're thinking about yourself too much i was gonna say you're sounding a little bit like aaron rogers that's an aaron rogers ass thing to think that's some real main character how can i make this about me yeah just saying that's fine we're all human was jackie happy that he signed or no i think she's just tired of this i think it's just it's it's the steelers every time they somehow keep getting older at the position like i want to go back to a few years ago they're the funniest team in the nfl i think bar down like they're an objectively hilarious team i want to go back to like old ben roethlisberger to tell you craig don't worry they're gonna find someone even older than ben roethlisberger and they're gonna find someone 10 years older than mike thompson this is gonna be an all-time like even for craig roller coaster ride of a season yeah and unfortunately once again i'm like in my head you know the upside and the downside are both great if they somehow win 11 12 games amazing if they lose if they win four or five games four rogers gets hurt great we'll get an awesome draft pick unfortunately what the history of the steelers tells me is that they will win eight or nine and we'll be completely to jeff fisher steelers yeah and then the last thing here we have to hit this before we go to uh hottest quarterbacks with me you know jerry jones talked about the sun again i saw this dude jerry jones not to be mean he's looking he's looking very old oh once again jerry jones still older than he's looking i don't know like he's getting up there al davis looking how long until joe biden becomes older than jerry jones well you know depending how you count um cam has the audio of jerry jones talking about the sun pouring into the cowboy stadium cam can you play that you're not thinking about the curtains though well do you know something uh uh thinking about it and doing something about it or two different things for you if you think about it you could do but no but i'm i'll think about it it's hard to tell that time of the year because the sun's not the same this time of the year. that it is in the fall and that is you get on into some changes and the angle of that sun changes from uh september through the year you're around uh but uh as we look at it i like some of the effects of the tinting and so uh we're we're uh giving that a thought fuck yeah they're inventing the first stadium visor wait what does he do what do you say tenting tinting they're gonna tinting put a big visor around jerry world i won't put a curtain in the windows that i do for the jake paul fight i will tint the windows he thinks honestly he thinks it looks cooler and he's right this is like this comes down to just i can never once in my life admit i was wrong correct i will now i will never admit to you also he doubled down on the like well the sun in the fall i mean yeah sure it's it's right there right now but it's august wait we don't what is he gonna be doing in november once again they have models that will show you the angle of the sun probably a thousand years from now we can figure out for what's gonna happen if you just put curtains up it doesn't matter where the sun is you know what i mean wow i love that jerry's still on the curtains the sun every week it's in a different spot we're bullying him into tinting this i think curtains just sounds kind of lame to him and he doesn't want to have curtains in his stadium it's curtains for jerry yeah but if you say like oh what if we tint it he's like oh yeah yeah you're like you know how like the car you drive into the office every day is tinted isn't that cool he's like oh shit yeah what if the whole stadium's tinted that'd be cool oh my god i love this guy it's funny how many problems these giant trillion dollar stadiums have like the sofi stadium when we went there for the super bowl a couple years back i was like this is a giant just greenhouse it's it's 95 degrees in here do they not think that it's gonna be hot in la uh i'm gonna push back how dare you so if i come back also you just can't walk around the stadium well that's they haven't separated between the plebs and you know it's a little tricky that's by design well i know but it sucks i can't pretend to know i've only been there like once or twice i will say the when the world cup came to sofi the announcers and everybody gave it rave reviews okay that's good to hear so i sofi is a breathtaking spaceship my one problem is that it's not that sofi is not cool and like all these new stadiums aren't cool it's that they're all losing their character i like they're all just looking the same to me they all look like spaceships they all look like roombas it's like celebrities all the same forehead now exactly like you're even like the rent like all these like uh sketches of like what these new the new chief stadium i'm like just like they just do a little bit more to add some character to it they all just look like these like giant chrome spheres now it's like how all houses look the same millennial gray i know it's funny it's like old sci-fi movies that predicted the future it's like we are we're like basing it off that it's like we don't know how to think of anything new so we're just basing it off of what everyone thought the future was supposed to look like you know it's like in spongebob the chrome episode yes why does everything have to be chrome it doesn't it shouldn't look like that dk's just laughing i just think it's funny the chrome is a funny thing yeah he goes to the future and everything's chrome i can see that that'll be our stadium everything's chrome okay let's get to the thing everyone's been waiting for yeah it's acting powerful pain relief icy hot you're so back all right we are now joined by espn's mina kimes one of the greatest football analysts in the world that america has today and we're going to not talk about football whatsoever mina because crucially you were also a woman which we have perhaps been missing from our analysis of the hottest quarterbacks that we've been ranking uh just just a little bit missing of of you know maybe a woman's touch so you texted me the first time you put out the beginning of the hot quarterback rankings you said this list stinks a little a little harsh a little harsh uh i've come off of that as the list has gone on there were just a few things i objected to early on but overall it's it's not a bad list i have some quibbles which we'll discuss and i'd also like to just say first of all it's an honor and a privilege to be here to discuss this but also to walk in the footsteps of the seven who you know i'm an ap voter i don't think they take that as seriously as these women took this ranking they are honorable they are not honorable they are not knowledgeable they clearly ground the film yeah they are consummate ball knowers balls knowers i don't know and gross sorry gross uh and i i just wanted a note of appreciation for the work that they've done before you're here apart do you think i feel like you know this whole thing kind of started because one the jimmy g thing was jimmy g going to retire who's the next hottest quarterback but also dk heifetz and i were like oh i wonder what the difference is between what women think and what men think and you know i think we know who the top four is going to be unless trevor lawrence comes out off the third rope i don't think he's going to but i do think the final four is going to be what we all thought we think it's going to be some order of herbert burrow allen and hertz and that's what the four the three of us had and it seems like that's what the seven has so we're on the same page seems like there is a clear-cut big four clear-cut big four clear-cut big two i would argue and then a pretty sizable gap i mean we'll talk about this in detail but like it's it's a very top heavy stacked at one and two field that's like the dodgers and the yankees like there's well maybe not the yankees right now but there's two guys up there who i think everybody agrees belong in the top two and after that it's more of a matter of taste should we do before we do top four should we get mina's like biggest gripe so far i think we have to yes i think that's two over caleb williams is one of the greatest miscarriages of justice i've ever seen that's seven i like i said so much respect for you but when i heard that i almost had to pull over my car like i could not believe shaking with rage yeah uh caleb if i had to buy stock in a young quarterback maybe both on and off right um the field he would be it i don't know if you guys saw he lost a little bit of weight he looks good he looks fantastic looks good uh how did tua he was the surprise one i think of this whole process because like first of all unclear exactly if he's a starting quarterback he's probably a starting quarterback um but i i think there was some confusion over that and the voting and i i didn't i did not expect to it to be on this list at all no uh yeah we had him like middle of the pack caleb i agree though caleb lost a little bit of the baby weight he's got the nice mustache now he's he was really cooking in this in this presser he looked really good fringe top four yeah i think fringe top four is fair i think i was trying to think if there's anyone else who could really make an argument deserve to be higher caleb was the most glaring one to me um there are some guys and i texted you guys about this because i've been around a lot of these guys in person for work purposes um i think there are some where i might be rating them higher based on aura as the kids say uh just experiencing the aura or negative aura is that is there a word for negative craig you're the youngest person here i'm actually craig's birthday was yesterday younger than me craig's birthday was sunday um the opposite of aura uh what is the opposite of aura we have we have gen z producers here can they help us with that maybe we have it right now by asking the question yeah i just can't feel like we're dripping is it just can you just have a beta aura is that really what it's about yeah maybe sigma aura and beta i don't know if i want to name the beta and say i wrote them down she's got she's got a list you want to hear the positive aura guys the guys who when you're around them and it's some that i've done just interviews with we've had on set i've been in a couple commercials with some like the ones who are higher okay one is very obvious who do you think is the most obvious this guy has insane aura guy baker it's yes it's baker it's very obviously yeah the second you're around them you're like i get it baker's the best it's why it's why baker's as high as he is like i had him seventh and it's like i think he's a nice looking guy but but i feel like just vibes around baker are through the roof i thought when he was in tahoe golfing like he's just the fucking man also baker is the rare thing where he summed himself up the best because someone, was it last year? Someone asked him, do you feel like you've had a comeback or like people like you more now? He's like, I've been the same person the whole time. It's you guys who've changed what you think about me. I've been the same guy. I also think his height almost helps. Like if he was 6'4", it wouldn't work as well. I like that he's like 5'11". He's too cocky. Yeah. Yeah. And I like it. It works for him. Real life, like Baker has always been better when people doubt him. Like this year, the contract, the contract motivation, I'm like, man, maybe he'll win MVP. I'm like every year that people believe in Baker, it's kind of goes poorly. You mentioned height. So that's another one. I have another guy who actually has higher aura in person and it's not Bryce Young. It's his love. That's where my brain went. It's Brock Purdy. And here's why. When you meet him in real life, you realize he's not small. It's like the Steph Curry effect, right? Where like Steph Curry is actually very tall. And if you see him around normal men, you realize, oh, he's just around giants and where my perspective is thrown. I feel like Brock Purdy, because he has to stand like near Trent Williams. People just think he's like a little small bean. He's not. He's like 6'2". He's like a normal kind of tall guy. And he has a, he's got like a nice face. He's very pleasant. But he was one where the first time I saw him for a song, I was like, whoa, I feel like in my head, I was like, maybe boy Brock. And he's just not at all. Yeah. Not according to DK who ranked him 32nd. Maybe I need to meet him. Very nice. I hate to see that bias out of you. You're so stupid. No, it's just, it's naked bias. Yes. I know for sure that it's because he's a 49er. Also, I agree. Like he doesn't look very big. I was kind of like, he's a little shrimp guy, but he is 220 pounds. No, he's a little shrimp guy. We had an email or a few years ago described that there, she helped Brock Purdy in a Lululemon for 90 minutes. And then after the end of it, all the women in Lululemon realized he was the quarterback of the 49ers, but none of them had any clue he was a pro athlete for an hour and a half. He, he is a very regular guy vibe. I mean, so is Baker, right? Like Baker, if he wasn't Baker, would just be a guy who lives on your block or something. Mina, do you, does it, do you like it when Purdy drops the Dougie or do you think it's corny? I think it's surprisingly smooth, but also feels like that's his one move. Because Baker also drops He's only got one move. Dougie, right? It's Baker's move. Are we still? Oh yeah. If you're a white guy and you can naturally pull off the Dougie, you should, you know? Right. It's rare. So if you have it. I always thought Mike Kosicki's gritty was pretty good. But Mina, can you say the negative aura of the guys we've already discussed on the list? I can refresh everyone's memory. Okay. Two guys who are going to be in the top four. Wow. I already, I can, I know one of them. I feel like, I think Mina's going to be anti-Burrow is my prediction, but we'll see. Maybe I'll wait until we get to the top four. Should we just do it? Let's do it. Should we go to number four? Let's get into it. So again, we're revealing the top four hottest quarterbacks entering the 2026 NFL season as voted on by all seven of the women who listen to this show. So, without further ado, drum roll. Drum roll. Oh, that audio is probably terrible, TK, but I appreciate it. I only, I only did it for a second. No, it's okay. All right. The fourth hottest quarterback in the NFL for 2026. We have, Justin Herbert, quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers. Herbert! Called it. That's correct. I think. I think that's the right pick. Rock solid number four. I, Herbert, my favorite, there are a lot of good comments on Herbert. My favorite one being someone just wrote, Justin Herbert, a tree worth climbing. He's enormous. I just was at Chargers camp and when he walks by, like all, you know, there's another guy who's enormous who we're going to get to probably, I would guess next, but, it is kind of shocking how tall Justin Herbert is. And he's, I believe, taller than Josh, actually. He's got like an inch on him, right? He's listed at 6'6", 236. Yeah. That's a big man. A mountain of a man. I have a question for you, Mina, because I think from a male point of view, his nuptial, his impending nuptials to Madison Beer raises the bar. I think he, it's more impressive from a male point of view. Yes. I have so many notes on this. Does it, does that matter as a woman? Like, or does that actually have a negative? Okay. So you got to parse it out a little bit. Yeah. Because there's him and then the guy who I think is going to be next are both with, like, pop stars and gorgeous, beautiful women. I would argue, however, just as an aside, a quarterback who ranked probably a little bit too low is married to one of the hottest women I've ever seen in my life. And that would be Jared Goff. Right. Holy crap. Just, just like, look it up if you don't know. But, um, you're like him? But here's the, well, it actually, it's funny because you see him and I remember I saw them together. Jared Goff's one, two in person. You're like, he's like the, like the hottest guy in a frat when you're in college. You're just like, oh, like, you know, but he doesn't, he's not like super swaggy. He's just a good looking guy. Here's the thing. Okay. No, is the short answer. I think being with somebody who's really, really hot makes men more attractive to other men more so than women. Right. With women, however, you don't punish them for it. And it's not like, oh, I actually don't like him now or I like him because he's with like a, you know, his high school sweetheart or whatever. Although I think women do like that. It's whether or not they're wife guys. Right. So it's how hard do they go? Like, so another guy who was early on your list, I took a note of this, Jordan Love, elite wife guy. Yes. Elite. In fact, we had him on our show and he just would not stop talking about his wife and how cool she was and how funny she is. And it was honestly one of the hottest things I've ever seen. So it's less about the attractiveness of the woman and more about how he talks about her and whether or not he seems like he's obsessed with her that makes a quarterback attractive to girls. Well, I would also say we don't know a lot about what Justin Herbert thinks because we don't, he doesn't talk a whole lot. He just gave like a raving quote about her. Did you see this? Oh, did he? No. What did he say? He was like, this is the only good question I've been asked today. Sorry to interrupt you. But yes, we do not know a lot about what he thinks. Yeah, like, do you think Justin Herbert's quietness, because I feel like, you know, when players talk about him, I think Derwin James is just like, oh, people don't actually know him. Like, he's the man inside the locker room. You don't get a lot of that from Herbert. And do you think that plays into like the mystique and mystery of Justin Herbert, how quiet he is? He's this quiet, intellectual, giant mountain of a man. Does that play into the attraction for you? Or I think for the seven, I would guess. I know you guys have your quotes. I don't think it, well, in some ways it's good because sometimes of these guys the more they talk correct the less good it is and so i do think maybe women appreciate that they don't know a lot about what justin herbert thinks in my experience have i've spent like really a lot of our time around him because they did a story on him in 2021 i think you you had the anecdote that he returns his shopping carts all the time yeah i went to oregon for his golf tournament i met his family his lovely family he is like i've been around introverted nfl players before he is another level like in terms of just not and i know it's some of its media he really does not he's not comfortable with media i think that's pretty obvious but like he is a quiet quiet man i know that was that was my impression is like when you were talking about uh wife guys and how they pump up their wives or whatever and like talk about them and rave about that i'm like i don't know if i've ever heard him say a damn word about madison beer not that i've been reading every single interview with him um but i will say like they are pretty cute hanging out like courtside and all that stuff like he's willing to go out in public with her and kind of make appearances and all that which is big for him yeah um anyway yeah what do we got in terms of the comments here the comments yeah so someone wrote i showed justin herbert to my wife and my wife said hello sailor yes please hello sailor someone wrote herbert is heavily dependent on what haircut he has at any given time but the current iteration is working thank you madison beer uh which was a heavy sentiment was that herbert's hair is volatile but the number one my favorite comment someone wrote about herbert was that justin herbert looks like he could chop wood build a cabin fix a transmission catch a fish with his bare hands disappear into the wilderness for six months come back with a beard and life lessons yeah there's there's a little bit of you know the the tick-tock sensation thor that just chops trees and stuff there's a little bit of that going on with you like herbert everything's going there's a little bit of that going on with you like herbert everything he does he's like oh god yeah you ever seen train dreams like herbert could have been trained right he talked about as much as that guy does too yeah i do think herbert has the best i think when it's right herbert has the best hair of any starting quarterback do you remember when he shaved his head i think it was like maybe was it during the pandemic yeah infinite or a loss super cuts yeah the thing i find so funny about justin herbert um is that even so he's been dating for like a year now he's been dating for like a year now he's been dating for like a year now he's been dating for like a year now he's been dating for like a year now he's been dating for like a year now but you know she's a pop star and they go places and like they go you know they go to court side they're at restaurants they're at events now he still looks like everything he's wearing is free like zero glow up i mean it's like a branded nfl sweatshirt he'll make we're like a compression sleeve like on a date a lot of the athleisure that's been delivered to his front door like i i mean i know we have a picture of him here in his suit but it doesn't he doesn't look comfortable no but i i do think i think that plays into to why herbert is appealing he's just like this quiet guy this kind of meek fellow who kind of isn't interested in this whole thing and it's why the whole relationship with madison beer i feel like came out of nowhere because to be honest he would have been like in the bottom five of people i would suggest would date a pop star or i would think whatever did a pop star right but he you know i think it i think it's been a nice it's been a nice uh like combination the two of them because i think it it felt unexpected do we know how they met probably being really rich and hot in los angeles yeah what's the what's the like rich people like tinder thing raya raya yeah i feel like when you're that famous though like your agents set you up or you're right some of my people talk to someone's manager reaches out to someone's manager hey she saw him on tv 100% he was cute getting his ass kicked behind that offensive line you know i don't know yeah there's yeah it can fix him uh okay should we go to the top three let's do it yes we should say herbert was fourth in our our composite rankings of three of us justin herbert's fourth dak prescott was five going on now the top three this is this is where it really becomes a game here so before does any does everyone have predictions here everyone seems to be dancing around it i mean yeah yeah oh you think it's burrow or it's out definitely alan the top two are very clear to me oh i didn't i thought we were talking about alan and hertz for the top two but okay really oh really oh i assume burrow and hertz my bad my bad well we'll see so the number three hottest quarterback in the nfl the seven have voted joe burrow oh yeah josh allen over joe burrow this is a huge it's a hayley steinfeld bump yeah it's the hayley steinfeld bump it's got daddy daddy energy now yeah i think two years ago i was like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh this is josh allen and now it's burrow because of hayley or more correctly okay let's get into it here because of how josh allen is like hayley steinfeld she's the light of my life the mother of my it's what i was talking about wife guy where joe burrow always walks 10 feet in front of his rumored girlfriend rumored girlfriend women are punishing him for not being a boyfriend guy wow i like my theory i'm sorry i i think alan having the baby girl i mean like josh joe burrow's talking about his telescope and josh allen's talking about his daughter he's talking about his crystals i think that is a separator right now because we've learned what we've learned from the seven is that they appreciate a man who feels like an adult yeah yeah i think yes and i think josh allen has that are you are you comfortable saying what you texted to us when you when uh you you showed the josh allen picture let me let me set it up i'm just gonna say we said yeah you set this up josh allen talking about the feeling of holding his his baby daughter in his arms and that feeling could never be replicated and you wrote and i quote a million ovaries just activated watch activated i love that uh he okay so this in addition i think well should we talk about burrow or alan here i guess down well i think both i think that this is the this is the juxtaposition this is the story of the of the hot this is what we've learned from the exercise uh i think alan really benefits because i have a list of pros and cons here and i wrote pros the dad video i sent you he just seems like a great hang i think more than any of the other three in the top four if i'm being honest i i think josh allen is the good the the nice guy in the frat in the movie and joe burrow could be the the mean guy in the front and i and i think that's the difference in my notes for pros for josh allen i wrote quote i probably would have let him beat off me in high school because he gave me a cute nickname oh that's good you remind me of like the um the guy in election who runs for president uh chris klein plays him i think no who plays him election anyways like the jock like the like sweet jock who runs for president who's like a good guy school president you guys not seen election i've seen election yeah i haven't seen that i'm just gonna go along anyways it was chris klein yeah i think he has four quadrants approval yeah so i think so the wrinkle i want to give you is that you know i don't want to get too analytics heavy here but joe burrow actually had slightly more first place votes than josh allen did but josh scored way higher when it comes to more consistently the top five the top ten and he did not have any top not one woman put josh or none of the seven people voting for this put josh allen it really below average truthfully and so i i but the notes though do bear out what you're saying which was based someone summed up really really well with is there a term for when you're hotter because of your wife and it is yeah he's clearly like in love with her yeah there's so many funny comments can i read you some of the burrow stuff please do did anyone know that the 10 feet walking in front of his girlfriend thing does anyone know but that's so good yes every time okay sorry it's i will say that the burrow thing i don't know if it's a good thing i don't know if it's a good thing i don't know i do think that when he his stylist dress a lot of women pointed this out and the you know the thing that happened before is a lot of lesbians emailed us and said that they are attracted to joe burrow and i it was unbelievable how many at this point i'm up to we're almost at like double digit people have just commented up like yep and but the thing that the lesbians pointed out to me was that joe burrow when he has his stylist dress him dresses like page beckers like really fashionably and um but that when joe burrow dresses himself he dresses like a 12 year old boy which is like he wears a shirt that says taco cat backwards spells taco cat and like that's him left up to his own devices and that's the guy who buys batmobiles and buys his offensive lineman katanas and i do think that's the separation joe burrow strikes me as like if he wasn't very good like people's like interpretation of his hotness would be very different i don't know you think so see i think joe burrow is like objectively much better looking than josh allen like just take out personality wife all of it if you literally just put their faces next to each other joe burrow like clearly i maybe not clearly but like there was a point where you could not avoid videos on tiktok about joe burrow that made you feel like you'd be put on the fbi list like he he was so lusted ever after peak the summer i turned pretty and i was like oh my god i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry guys joe burrow was it was almost like who's benefiting more from the comparison conrad or joe burrow they're both that's all hyphens is laying right there yeah get in here i have been trying to talk to them about conrad from somewhere i turned pretty like they're like the same guy and everything including hot slightly pathetic it's incredible the my favorite comment so a couple of the ones people wrote about joe burrow was joe burrow looks like anakin from episode three on a very specific love that good though when someone wrote burrow was hard to place due to the ever changing hairstyle i don't know if he's going to look like eminem or macaulay culkin from home alone that was what i was just going to mention it's like i just have joe burrow in google images up here and it's like he has a different haircut in every single picture it's crazy um the longer sort of almost herbert-esque haircut to me is like the the top one here but i don't know he's also to me he's very very gen z yeah the he's almost in that jackson dart thing where i'm like i don't i don't know what i would say to this guy i couldn't talk seven yeah there's there's a maturity to josh allen that i feel like burrow doesn't we're also just assuming josh allen is second place we don't know that there you are if josh allen would be easy to talk to beats the person who should be in the first place i might have to ask to be like removed from this podcast just because i don't want to be that's going to ensue that's fair uh one more note on burrow and alan i guess burrow because we've brought this up every every time we talk about guys very clearly has veneers yes so he's not all natural not all natural yeah we've decided veneers are the boob jobs for men i really enjoyed your guys's discovery of veneers over recording on this podcast feels like you learn a little bit more about them every episode as somebody who works in television i am around a lot of veneers i won't name names but um it is crazy how rampant they are with and also the difference between veneers that are well done and veneers that are just you know stifordian if you will how do you rank burrow's veneers like at one to ten the skill of aaron judge to ten on a skit like ten would be you can't tell ten is you can't tell they're there like you can't really tell their veneers one would be like matthew stafford um like like like where like peak miley cyrus veneers okay so yeah when joe i think he first got them after his rookie season because i remember the first time seeing him his face being like whoa that's different and then they kind of feel like they've softened over time to the point where now you can look up look up rookie year joe burrow face and then look up year two somehow um but i do think he's grown into them a little bit yeah his aren't his definitely are not agreed well so wait while we have that photo up hold on while we have that photo up i do want to mention a lot of women and i think this may have been what punished him my pet theory for the other reason Joe Burrow may have not come in the top two is I think a lot of women Googled the profile photo of him and he gets done dirty by a lot of these photos. Cause a certain half the women who look at that photo we have up there and you're in Spotify, Netflix, you can watch the video of us. We have photos up. A lot of women said he looks like a serial killer and only in like the, the head on shot, he kind of gets done dirty. Like every other photo of Burrow is pretty good, but his headshots over the years are for whatever reason, like they're, they don't really do him any justice. I feel like Josh Allen has weird headshots too, though, if I remember correctly, cause I had to pull, I did a charity fundraiser and some bills fan requested Josh Allen's face on an actual Buffalo. And I remember looking at all of his headshots and thinking, he kind of looks like the way my toddler draws people, which is just a circle with two big dots. And his head shots, Josh Allen headshot. And you will see exactly what I'm talking about. There's a lot of room on that face. Oh my God. Yeah. I think though, we should have seen this coming based on the way the seven has voted. They've seemed to have valued maturity and dad energy over maybe more stereotypical, like vapid hotness stuff. And like Burrow is more Hollywood. He's more diva. He's got the fancy clothes. He's at the fashion shows. Josh Allen, is like chopping wood in upstate New York and people like that. I, in retrospect, the guy who bought a Batmobile and Katanas, I see how he's going to play in top two. I'm like, I have nothing in common. I could not figure out what to talk to. He owns a Katana. That's half an hour of conversation. Just tell me about your sword. They were like, what kind of telescope did you buy? And he's like, I don't know. It was like a big one. It's like, you know, he's like, it's cool though. Looking at Gallatin. He's not wrong. All right. Uh, should we get to the, should we get to the top two? Really? Yeah. So now I think you announced you announced number one. So we're ready to talk about Trevor Lawrence now upset of the century. Yeah. Who's the biggest dark horse that could sneak in, right? Sam Darnold hasn't been mentioned. Sure. All right. It's time. The whole year has been building to this. The man taking Jimmy Garoppolo's throne as the hottest quarterback in the national football league is none other than Jalen Hurts. Okay. Thank you. Uh, thank goodness. It's the right choice. Undeniable. Jalen Hurts received almost 45% of first place votes. He's a runaway. It's astonishing. Uh, I would like to just start by saying someone put Jalen Hurts is a 99 Madden rating on every hot metric hair, eyes, smile, confidence, swagger, teeth, voice, and disposition. Disposition vibe. He's kind of quiet. The comments, the vibe from the seven on Jalen Hurts. If I could summarize them as basically, he is basically perfect looking and chiseled from marble. He is an all women management team on agents and marketing and everything that goes a long way. And he doesn't speak, which seems to be a huge plus. Yeah. Uh, so I have a take. I know that it takes on hurts obvious. First of all, obvious choice. Good work seven. No one. I don't think I knew. It's kind of like Jimmy Garoppolo was so objectively the hottest, not just quarterback, but like player in football that it was kind of comforting to not have to debate it at the time. And it was actually so hot. It was freeing for men to talk about how hot he was. Like when you reach a level where men are just comfortable being like, damn, that's a good looking dude. Um, I feel like hurts is close to that. Not quite, but almost. There. And it's funny because he's like one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in terms of how we debate him on about his football. But, uh, as far as his looks go, this just feels right. It feels true. It feels irrefutable. One note I have on hurts is, uh, as someone who is about a decade older than him. And I don't, again, I don't know the breakdown of the voters, the seven or whatever, right? It feels easier to talk about his looks because he is spiritually 45. So like, I'm not like that's a child, even though what is it like 28? I don't know. I'm just, he's just like an old man in every he's, you know, he dresses like. He's 27. Turns 28 next week. Okay. Well, um, you know, he's, they always say he's like nineties fine. Like he looks like he's from like a 1990s sitcom. He's just, you know, old. I think he's objectively the best looking man on this list. Like just on paper, black and white, he is by far has all of the most attractive qualities. I do think the only downside I would say I was talking to my wife, Liz, about the top four and who she, she picked Josh Allen, I think because of just personality and vibe, she was like, Jalen hurts, objectively, extremely hot. Seems kind of boring. Yeah. It is a kind of a testament to his hotness that he's so easily number one, despite not seeing that like fun. The, the thought that I really th the, my favorite comment on Jalen hurts. I will just read you it verbatim. Cause I thought it was just absolutely breathtaking. Someone wrote Jimmy Garoppolo is the kind of hot that gets you a lead role in multiple Hallmark holiday movies, unequivocally handsome and rugged, but ultimately approachable. Jalen hurts is the kind of hot that gets you a lead role in a prestige HBO series, smoldering polished impervious to bad lighting or the sands of time. He could, he could walk runways. He can get a designer fragrance ad. They are not the same. They are not. I would like to refute it. Jimmy Garoppolo is not approachable. Like I, for the first time, I, I was the Miami super bowl, the COVID super bowl when it was Niners chiefs. Right. Yeah. Like I went to media day. I was there early for some reason when he, so it's a lot of people who don't usually cover these teams at these media days when he came out, you could feel everyone's like breath briefly taken away. It's just like the air leaves the room. Okay. That's Mina. Have you met Jalen? Is there a quiet charm to him? Um, I haven't interviewed or anything. I've just been around. I've been in his presence. Um, so I can't answer that. He looks the same in person. So he doesn't, it's not like he's, uh, you know, better or worse. I do think he benefits from being a great wife guy though, to go back to earlier, he got married to like a beautiful accomplished woman and seems to love her very much. And that also might be some points in his favor with these women dresses really nicely understated, but, but very fashionable. I was going to add that. Yeah. Good, good fashion. Good style dress is great. Maybe we say that Jalen hurts has aura, but perhaps not. Charismatic. I think the key, the number one key with Jalen hurts is you have to, the reason I think he's trended a little down last year was because the Eagles season was bad, but when Jalen hurts is smiling, it's unrivaled. Like Jalen hurts that you have to find a photo of hurts when he's smiling because his, that every, every, almost every single person, you just put that up and I just smiled. Sorry. Like a knee jerk. Yeah. You can't help it. It's magnetic. Jalen hurts is so hot. He could pull off a beret. I know. Cool. Like good facial hair too. Yeah. He's he, someone wrote, he smells expensive. All right. You smell terrific. Dude. So I, I think this is the right choice. I had Jalen hurts was my number one as well. I think it's the right it's it's unequivocal Mina. Did you have hurts one burrow too? I did. Yeah. I had hurts one bro too. I, I, that is, I'm legitimately shocked by burrow and you know what? Maybe the seven are a little bit ahead of the NFL commentary yet and thinking burrows shouldn't dine on that Superbowl run anymore. Years have passed. Step it up. Feels like they're like, what have you done for me lately? Joe, whereas we're still ranking him very high. Um, I do think that it's a testament to how it's not just about looks. This hotness, the fact that that's right. Ranked above him. Do we think we're gonna hear from Jalen hurts? Will he comment on this? Do you think being anointed the hottest quarterback in the league? Maybe he'll be asked about it and then he'll just stare. Yeah. He's not gonna, he wouldn't, he wouldn't answer like, how do you feel after winning the Superbowl? He's not gonna comment on this. I believe Jalen hurts has not even confirmed whether he's put his Superbowl ring on. Which of the quarterbacks do you think is most likely to be. Aware of his ranking on this list? Ooh. Uh, no, I have to say shit. Um, Jackson dart. I feel like he's kind of in the mix. Probably knows what's going on. Jackson dart came in at 16. He's probably a little upset about that. Probably thought he deserved top 10. Yeah. He's like, I thought I proved it last year. Those five games. That was great. Uh, yeah, this is, I think this is a pretty solid list and the top four is correct quibble with borough Allen, but they got the number one, right? So the, the, the full list, just, just so people understand. So the number one hottest quarterback, we have Jalen hurts, Josh Allen. The shocker is number two, borough at three, Justin Herbert at four Dak Prescott rounds up. The the top five. And then the top ten. Tua at six, Jordan Love, Shador Sanders, Caleb Williams, and Baker round out the top ten. And then we've got Matt Stafford, Bryce Young, Brock Purdy, Jaden Daniels, Tyler Shuck, Jackson Dart. Mina, are there any other parting thoughts you have for us as we've done this exercise of just ranking hot quarterbacks? The only, clearing out my notebook here, the only thing I didn't mention was after going through your list, looking at their photos and thinking through it, and I don't think this is just my age talking here. We're living in a moment where NFL coaches are hotter than NFL quarterbacks. I totally think you're right. Maybe your next ranking, just saying. We have discussed that for next summer. I think the question is, can we make it to next summer? I know, should we do it in August? Should we just do it starting next week? The people are going to demand it. Mina, you're going to have to come back for that. I've obviously gotten a lot of takes. There's a couple. Mike McCarthy is looking good at training camp. Sure. I'm just going to say it. I have one final question, though. There was a time, I would say, when Tom Brady, probably for most of his career, was considered top three, hottest quarterback in the NFL. Maybe number one for many people. But when he got drafted, I don't think anybody would have said that. No, absolutely not. It took some time, whether that's just from getting more in shape and some baby fat or other things. He got a lot hotter. Some other things. Yeah. Mina, is there anyone right now that you, or like, is not even top ten, that you think has a shot five years from now to be a Tom Brady? Who's two years away from being two years away? I'll mention the guy who I have interviewed, who's on your list, but outside the top ten. I could see Tyler Shuck aging really well. Oh, wow. Yeah. Interesting. But I don't know if he's as likely to invest in himself the way Tom Brady did. So, I don't know. It wouldn't be my pick as most likely to do that. But I do think he's one where, I mean, I'm saying aging really well. He's already our age, right? No, I'm just kidding. Hey, so. But he is one where I think, as he gets a little bit older, I think he might crack the top ten. I had him in the top ten. He was one of, I was like way off from these other two guys on that one. Interesting. Yeah. I think he's ruggedly handsome. He'll be okay. And a blonde. I gotta say, for blonde men out there, what a showing. I mean, you have Burrow, you have Herbert, you have Shuck. Not bad for blonde men. Well, I think sometimes you get a bad rap, you know? Jared Goff? Is Jared Goff blonde? Yeah, Jared Goff. Yeah. Jared Goff suffers from the fact that he looks kind of like Ryan Gosling, but like on Quaaludes or something. Right. Like if Ryan Gosling had two other brothers like the Hemsworths, Jared Goff would be one of them. Right. Yeah. That's fair. Mina, thank you so much for coming on. This has been a joy. And now, I, I, we couldn't have done this without you for being totally honest. No, stop, stop. Shout out to the seven. Shout out to you guys. Podcast is great. I actually think I'm talking about real quarterbacks or not real quarterbacks, but actual football quarterbacks through an actual football lens on Bill's pod this week. So, uh, this is a nice downhill from here. Ask Bill who he thinks the hottest quarterback. Ooh. Yeah. Okay. I will. His, his, what is this? Max of magazine line was pretty good. Yeah. I'm like, damn, we kind of are. Drake May didn't crack the top 16. Did he? No. Drake May was an honorable mention. He came in 20th basically. Mina, where would you have Trevor Lawrence? That was kind of like a controversy. There's some people that think he's hot. Um, I saw, I think a post at one point that said Trevor Lawrence looks like a horse made a wish to become a human. And I've just never been able to get that out of my, I had, I'm not criticizing his looks. I'm just referencing a post that I've not been able to write out of my head. Right. That's all that was emailed to us as well. That post may have said that where did Lawrence rank? Can you say, uh, low enough that I think we agreed it would be insulting. Guys are like, maybe this is Trevor's tier. I'm like, uh, I, I, we, we, we, we were going to all 32 and then we were kind of like, is that a bad day? Not really the spirit of what we're going for. We want to celebrate good looking men. Right. Positivity. Awesome. All right. Mina, thank you so much. Okay. Thank you to Mina. Thank you to DK. Thank you to Craig. Thank you to all the members of the seven. Yeah. That emailed in. Thank you to all seven women. The real question is, do we rank hot coaches now or do we wait a year? I don't know. I was going to wait a year. I don't know if the people can wait a year. We have to figure that out. I know. All right. Uh, I want to thank you Andrew who your fiance loves you and wanted you to be shout out on the show before your wedding. So shout out to your fiance. Yeah. And I also want to shout out, thank you to Zach in Poland and Fletcher in the outer banks who hooked me up with Collington's at outer banks. Great meal. Collington's. Did it involve ham? It did. I had beach ham in the outer banks. I'll have you know. Oh, I saw the video. It was great. Oh, we know you, you, you let us all know. You let the world know. It was great. Yeah. You guys don't understand the beach ham. I mean, I actually like, I think it sounds great. It's fantastic. I think it's the beach. I don't know. I don't know. Like also I feel like I have, um, food that you have to eat with your hands at the beach, getting sandy hands, sand on the ham. I don't know. Just don't understand the beach ham lifestyle. I guess I don't. Like when you go into the beach, you gotta like wash your hands off and like with the sandy towel, you got the sand on it. One little sand kernel on the ham then become, you feel a crunch in your mouth. It's like kind of weird. So you're not actually having, look, the video you sent me, you were eating a slice of ham with your hand that I was being a little bit of a troll. Okay. Um, the, the, the ham is first of all, it's a spiral cut ham. It sits in a, do you guys know what, like it's already pre-sliced. It's not a giant slab of ham to be clear. The sliced ham. Okay. Yeah. He's, he's civilizing the ham experience. It sits in the fridge and you return to the air conditioning and the ham sits in the fridge. Okay. So you're not bringing it to the beach. You don't have to know. Okay. You, you did kind of lead us to believe that you were taking the ham to the beach. Well, it's, we did take a ham to the beach, but the beach is like the literal beach. And then there's the metaphorical, we're driving like seven hours to the beach. We're going to the beach, bring the ham to the beach. Okay. But it doesn't, I think you guys just jumped the gun on the whole, like it's literally like having an 11 pound ham on the beach. Well, I think I would say then, then you, once you posted a video of you literally on the beach, eating ham with your bare hands, I would say that kind of wrapped the whole, wrapped that whole idea up and do it, but yeah, I know I wanted to prove a point. Okay. Rom ham. Anyway. Thank you. Lord, Lord, Lord. We've been doing millennial bangers month in July, but Craig, I, we will Craig millennial July millennial banger's month is only over. I know it's August now. It was a great run. I'm putting together a playlist of millennial bangers that include the ones that I shouted out on the show with also a bunch of other ones that weren't. More honorable mentions that I, that I didn't have enough. We didn't have enough episodes for me to include. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna make that and I'm gonna share it and everybody can hop in. Can I make it, can I make a place that other people add to, I guess not. I'd have to invite them into. You can, we, uh, we can figure that out. Yeah. Well, I'm gonna release it. So for the rest of summer, Drop the playlist, Craig. Yeah. People could have a millennial banger's playlist, but Heifetz has a new idea for August that he has not told us about. I wanted to keep millennial bangers month going, if I'm being honest. And you guys, you told me that it had to end. Okay. Like we needed a new team. It never ends. So it never ends here. Well, I have a different thing. Okay. And it's, it's different and it's, it's completely different. It's called Heifetz's millennial bangers. Okay. So it's not, so it is different though. It's completely different. Okay. Okay. It is nothing in common. Okay. What's your criteria? The songs that you thought were bangers. Yeah. It's just Heifetz's millennial bangers. It's nothing in common with millennial bangers. Okay. I want to shout out beautiful girls by Sean Kingston. Okay. I feel like this is the same category. Super different. What the fuck man? You just wanted your chance to name millennial songs that you liked from. Right. This is totally different though. Why didn't you just ask? So this is not, okay. You should have just been like, Hey, what if I take over millennial bangers for August? We would have been like, great. I asked you to keep going and you said we can't. Well, I wanted, I think less is always more, you know? Leave them wanting more. Right. Which is why we're not doing hot coaches until next year. That's right. But I'm happy to do Heifetz's millennial bangers. That's great. I love beautiful girls by Sean Kingston. It's a great song. It's fantastic. Your way to beautiful girl. I remember as a kid, my brother showed me that song or I like, he was listening to it. And I remember my mom being like, what is this song where somebody's just yelling suicidal, suicidal? I'm like, I love this. Is beautiful girls too like slow to be a dance hit? Well, look, this is not my list, this is Heifetz's list. It's like a half speed dance. Yeah. Are you saying it's not a banger? No, no. I think it's a banger. It definitely reminds me of that era a lot. I will say. It's a good one. Someone emailed in though that Craig about the thing you're saying where someone called what you're talking about, where everyone's like, hey, we're parting. Someone called it recession pop. We need to give people something to feel good about. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Escape. They called it recession. Escapism. Pop. Which is just like that was pop. Yeah. Which I like read an article about it. I'm like, oh, this is like a little depressing. It's like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. friday saturday so i'll never get over that they just recite the the days of the week dude they got pump it louder pump it louder i guess it you know what i mean oh shit it gets me going yeah dude craig wait how how old were we my did you ever did any parts of my humps confuse you it was kind of like right when we were about to hit you know teenage years my lovely lady lumps my lovely lady lumps check it out um no i don't think i was confused although i will say this is my homes but then there's junk in your trunk and i remember thinking what are they talking about and it took me a while to realize it was probably both you know it's like the whole package yeah get you love but when you're like 10 yeah yeah i i am not a lyrics listener i am a i'm a melody listener like i even if i know the lyric to a song i'm not a song i don't i don't actively like know what they're trying to say or what they're thinking or like the message i just like hear the song and listen to the song and it feels good it sounds good yeah i have i usually am not like aware of what someone is trying to say in a song even if i know the lyrics if that makes sense i just like singing the words yeah yeah i feel like my humps came out though and i was like 10 years old and i was trying to be like i'm like i feel like there's all the stuff i don't get and i'm looking up like dolce and gabbana i'm like i'm having all these i don't know it was ambiguous enough you know there was like a mystery yeah wait what was your dolce and gabbana thing no i just was like i don't get what they're like like which parts of like milky milky cocoa puffs and i'm like you know what i mean i'm like what like what is this stuff and i'm like looking up dolce and gabbana thinking it's like a reference to something sexual like oh this is just a can i can i admit one of the one of the like more embarrassing like lack of fashion knowledge faux pas that i committed recently that i told liz about we were in uh walking around and you know it's like all the major fancy fashion brands are everywhere i thought until a week ago that louboutin and louis vuitton were the same brand and it was just a matter of pronunciation i i would laugh but i don't know what louboutin is i've never heard of that uh you know like the the like the like the red bottom shoes like the louboutin heels louis vuitton louboutin louboutin right that's the same thing i think that walking around beverly hills that's really embarrassing yeah well god liz i'm embarrassed for you she's like that's fine that's fine that you didn't know that she's very sweet but it's totally it's adorable i think being embarrassed by it's more embarrassing well i was just like damn i was like can you believe louboutin and louboutin are different brands and she's like yeah and i was like holy shit i thought that was just uh how you pronounce french words even though i don't even know if louboutin's french is it uh louis vuitton no louboutin charles i always thought it was louboutin if i'm being honest i don't fucking know uh it's christian yeah i don't know is that french i have no idea that's how much i know well now that i know that you're humiliated by that when you see me in my brooks beasts in my shoes you probably look like the meme of hillary clinton walking into the regular apartment the high fits 12s yeah the high 12s are out they're weaving wider this time high fits you you you talking about the humps my humps my humps thing and you being like confused about what that really meant i was trying to figure out what song was like from my era that would be like overtly sexual and wake me up to certain things in the first song i thought of i don't know if you guys have even heard of this song but do you know the song put it in your mouth by akin yele i don't know if i said the name right so it's literally just the whole chorus is like put it in my mouth she said a motherfucking mouth said my motherfucking mouth anyways it's a uh it's much more just direct in in terms of what they're talking about here okay i don't know that song yeah it's a really good one it's catchy it gets like the earworm gets people going here yeah yeah the song crackling rosie by neil diamond is about rosé and how much he loves rosé wine the song the song sailing by christopher cross is about sailing and how much he likes sailing is that right yeah yeah he's like i went sailing one time and so i wrote sailing sometimes it's that simple yeah sean kingston he's like there's a lot of hot ladies around i'm
