I mean, my grandpa is a piano, or he played by the righteous brothers for the longest time. So I've always just been around it and speaking of not getting into politics. Right. I have vague memories of being in that gym for, but that's it. - You were, I mean, I think eight years younger than me. - Yeah, yeah. I have a vivid, my one memory is, I had this obsession with these yellow rain boots for whatever reason. I was a big, big rain boots guy when I was like, I don't know how, when did that movie film? He's 70, 70s. - No, yeah. I mean, just looking at the hairstyle and everything. - Dude, I was like three years old, I swear. - Well, then it must have been. - I was like two dozen years old, yeah. Do you feel like things have changed as far as the recognition you're getting in the past recent times? Because I only recently saw you and then I started seeing you a whole bunch. The algorithm is doing well for you. - Yeah. - People are sharing you in a very kind way. I don't mean kind of like it's not earned. I'm just saying, like, it's like, it's cool. - It's really-- - So, are you feeling that? - Like, yes, I'm feeling so elated, so grateful, so happy, but also like, my brain has not processed what's happening yet. It's the most bizarre thing in the world. - Also, what is the, that's happening that you can't process? - Like, it's crazy. I was charting on iTunes the other day, and like, I thought I'd be freaking out, but I wasn't for some weird reason, 'cause I almost didn't feel like it was real. It just feels like I've been in this weird dream for the last like two weeks. It's awesome, but-- - Two weeks. I don't know. - That's one thing. - That's one thing. - To that reason, right? - Right. I just hired a booker to help me with the podcast stuff, and maybe the day after, if not like later in the day, when I sent some people your music, not to my booker, I just was listening to it and sent it, and they go, hey, would you like to have you on? And I'm like, dude, that's wild. Like, the timing of that. And it did feel like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. - Yeah, it was like, it's been like the slowest fastest build of all time, 'cause it was like, of all time, I'm like ranking it. - Dude, it's crazy. That you and the stones. (laughs) - Dude, it started with like the Michelle Obama thing, and that like, so my dad went on the podcast, like played the song, that video-- - Oh, that's right! And, you know, I want to ask you a question that is about the relationship with your dad and now you in this business, where three things I've noticed are really hot right now. And by hot, I mean, talked about a lot. Diet Coke. - Okay. - Being skinny. - Okay. - And nipple babies. - Yes. - Okay, maybe in that order, do you connect with us at all? - Yeah, absolutely. - Now, I'm a little older than you, but from what I remember, for the, back in the day, being skinny, smoking cigarettes, having big boobs was big. Oh, boobs are coming back too, by the way. - Oh, are they, I didn't know, I didn't know. - I didn't know they were in. - They were in. - You didn't know they were in? - Yeah. - So you're so young, you didn't even know boobs were a thing. Dude, before you were born. Should I get me some, if you want? But what I'm getting at is boobs used to be, I mean, I remember the first time I ever saw the underside of a boob was at a poster I got at Spencer's Gifts, where it was a beautiful, independent, strong woman with huge tits, tits, knackers. - Not sure, whatever you want. - She had a shirt that, that, that, that covered her nipples, and it said, got milk, and you saw the under boob. And I was like, one day, dude. Anyway, time, you're gonna get some? - Yeah. - Yeah. - You know, I thought, it sounded like you met one day, I'm gonna have, I'm gonna have my own. - No, one day I'll be able to. I remember, before I was ever with a woman, and before I was ever able to drive. Those are the two things, I'm like, I really think one day I'll be able to do this, but I can't even visualize where it would be, to get in a car and go somewhere, not as to drive my bike. - Yeah, no, I know. - And then I remember thinking that specifically about a blow job. Like, I can't even, like, that would be crazy. - Like, you couldn't even comprehend what the experience would be. - No, you can't. Not, you don't know what it's like to have a blow job until you've had a blow job with a woman that you love, or a person, a person that you love. I mean that. There's, I mean that. Now, I could drive a car I don't love. - Right. - Yeah, anyway. So that was the first time I saw an under boob. Boobs, boobs then went away. It became about, boobs were important, but, you know, it's like, it became butts, personality, but that award, and that award, unfortunately, boobs are on their way back. But yeah, so, so I say that because like, diecook, diecook, being skinny, and nipple babies. - Yeah. - I feel similarly to children of celebrity, the same way I do when people remake a movie that's a great original. - Sure. - There are people out there. They're like, fuck that dude, let it stay, let it be. My thought is if they, or they remake Facebook, and you know, that's not what's happening. It's like, is it a remake? I think it's just later on. Anyway, if they remake Little Mermaid. - Sure. - And it's great, great. - Great. - Yeah. - And if it's not, it doesn't affect the, I don't know why we have such strong opinions against, not to put you in a spot that we have strong. - No, no, no, no, no. - But it is something you're gonna be getting. - Oh, and I accept, all I fully accept that. I think that my take is I'm in a position where I am lucky to have the opportunity to even chase this dream that I have. Like that, like that's what it is. And there are so many people out there who work their ass off and like are super talented musicians, but because they don't have this platform that they just spawned in with. - Or they're not good looking enough. - Sure. They, like it just, won't happen because they won't ever see the opportunity. So I acknowledge it, but I also acknowledge that I have worked really, really hard. Yeah. I used to, my vocal journey is that I only sang in my falsetto when I was like 12-13 only. And I just continue to let that develop and then now my chest voice is very thin. What does that mean? So chest voice meaning you're not. Here's your like, here's your, la, la, la, la, la, that's your chest voice. La, la, la, la, la, la, la, but then like if you, you can thin it out and be like, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, like that's still my chest voice. I just thinned it out. Like, it sounds up there, falsetto, but it's, do you do that because it's easier to control up there for you? Like, I can, I can, for whatever reason as my vocal has, or my voice is developed, it's easier to go from falsetto and like my head voice into the thin mix than rather than going from like heavy chest to falsetto if that makes sense. Still don't understand thin. It's so, la, la, la, la, la, la, or both chest. I don't know. I don't know. It's, I don't know if you were singing in falsetto or chest, but the thing, the thing about a thin chest voice is that it can sound almost exactly like a falsetto, but it's, it's the fun. It feels like you're using your chest voice, so that makes sense. Yeah. I, that's kind of what I was talking about, like, like not having big boobs anymore. You know, it's like, there's, there's all this value that comes with it. There's either one killing me, but, um, you have a, you have a single that's coming out. What's the name of it?
