The transcript blends promotional content from Crown Coins Casino and Orderly Meds with a detailed political debate discussion featuring David Mauricio. Crown Coins highlights real prize wins and a free bonus for new users, while Orderly Meds promotes a virtual GLP-1 treatment as an alternative for health challenges. The core of the discussion centers on Mauricio’s political debate performance, where he critiques opponents for relying on misinformation, ad hominem attacks, and ignorance of U.S. history and policy. He argues that political discourse must focus on facts and civil liberties, especially regarding immigration and government accountability. Mauricio condemns policies that target immigrants and legal residents, framing them as violations of democratic values. He notes the growing political shift in Texas, particularly among Hispanic voters, and attributes it to increased turnout and authentic engagement. The debate format serves as a platform to expose untruths and promote informed discourse, with Mauricio emphasizing that political debate must be grounded in facts and respect for democratic principles. His approach has been well-received, with many viewers appreciating the bold challenge to misinformation and the push for healthier political conversations. The segment concludes with a reflection on personal growth and a commitment to continued debate as a tool for civic education and accountability.

tim miller of the bulwark i'm here with uh newly minted jubilee surrounded star david mauricio is that how we're saying it it kind of became a topic of the surrounded how you did it did carson carpenter was relatively upset of how i pronounced the name but it doesn't really matter to me pronounce however you want i personally say mauricio like a mexican as he stated but mauricio like a mexican is what it is all right um for people who haven't seen it uh let's give them a little you know kind of like first date wrap it around and we'll see you next time you know what uh you know what's your what's your kind of politics your background are you in fact an illegal immigrant did you swim across the rio grande etc so i came here the legal way i got lucky my family had resources it took me about 10 years to become a naturalized citizen following my arrival um i got my citizenship around 2018 um and for me getting on the surrounded for being honest with you my rise as of this moment in politics has primarily been the fact that i'm a and there's something to that by the way listen we got the split super lucky always grateful and then they decided to give me the opportunity in the middle but that luck i think serves as a huge motivating factor because i don't doubt that there's people across this country across the globe if i'm being honest with you who are smarter who are better communicators and i think i owe it to them and i owe it to myself to be the best version of myself i possibly can be and that's the motto i live by when it comes to the work that i do i'm a liberal i care about the democratic party not because i'm a liberal i care about the democratic party i care about the democratic party i'm loyal to them but because of as of this moment i think they're the only legitimate alternative to the authoritarians who are explicitly anti-american um and yeah that's my politics as of right now i love that that's like a kobe bryant mindset to the content game just like grind set so you're like you can't you can't quite drink yet you're living in south texas that's not drinking not drinking 20 what is your says i had jackie rosa on on the pod last week and she is consulting for bobby palito and i'm curious before we get to your kind of surrounded highlight real how you kind of see like what's happening in texas um you know particularly you know with the hispanic vote where like you know from my vantage point from an outsider like we're going to see just an unbelievable like a shift like an unprecedented shift yeah i cannot disagree but it's really difficult to be optimistic given the history of democrats losing in the state but at the same time this is a like this has never been seen before james salarico success is unmatched i mean he himself in the primary and jasmine crockett alone um which is an accomplishment in of itself they got more votes each than the entire field when beto o'rourke had that legendary run where he almost got close to beating ted cruz 1.1 million votes in a primary for a democrat in texas and i think the turnout this time around in the general is definitely going to reflect that you mentioned bobby palito he's also doing incredible i mean he's very famous in the state as well since he was a artist before he became a politician and i there's there's a feeling there's a vibe and i don't i don't want like a pressure politics is just vibes yeah but there's a feel okay that this is going to be different and i hope it is i'm praying to god that it is sometimes i like vibes better than doing deep early vote analysis but i'm a sicko we're all sicko so you have to and and the the similar to the primary i mean just the turnout numbers and part of the reason why people don't well i don't like to analyze early vote numbers is because there's this question about like maybe democrats are so excited that they've turned out on the first couple days of early vote there in texas at such a degree but it's like kind of people that would have voted anyway on election day so it's not but whatever it's worth like we are seeing like compared to the first couple days from 22 from beto's year in 18 i just like massive really good turnout really good and it's difficult to really track but one can make a pretty sound assumption as to who is trending better than the other group um because there's no real registration in texas but we do know who's participated in prior elections etc and we know the it's like based on primaries it's like judging yeah based on like who's participated it looks really good it looks it looks really good those numbers say democrats are leading right but i don't want to jump the gun it's it's scary it's scary looks really good all right um let's do the let's go to the highlight reel from surrounded i did surround it it was um great episode yeah it's a weird deal i mean you i gotta tell you like you seemed more confident than me right off the bat and i don't i think maybe it's because my my excuse for myself is like maybe you had some inside sources having done the split having some jubilee experience like i didn't fucking know what i was getting into i go there and like you're in a warehouse in fucking south la like i'm sweating it's a lot hotter in there than i expected i didn't know what the run of show was going to be so i felt like i felt like i really started to get you came out swinging i think every moment matters okay yeah so you're telling me i was a failure i wasted 17 minutes i'm not saying the debate people can have hiccups i have them all the time i was recently on not to brag okay but we were on cnet for a little bit for the oh wow and in the first couple of minutes i had a hiccup and it stuck with me ever since and i feel like an absolute failure but when it comes to being in a scenario where you need to beat other people in a debate from the moment they see you if i'm just the biggest asshole and it looks like i'm just letting it hang and i don't give a shit about who's sitting next to me that's going to affect them and it did it got brought up a lot in the conversation they felt disrespected and i'm glad they did we went with different strategies you went and trying to alpha bro them a little bit and like and like call them dumb and like roll your eyes at them and i and maybe some of it was like the age like i felt like i so you had like a mix of age we're about to see but like you're a younger guy with a mix of people you're older than everybody i was debating it was like me against gen z magas or whatever and so i i don't know i felt like that would seem a little rude and so i don't know i tried to be like you know hey young man you know okay you might be a little misguided you know i tried to like kind of ease them in not you no no no it was guns blazing i knew that if you're still maga now it's either you're crazy you're really stupid or you're probably a bad person all right i don't know if there's going to be a real in between maybe certainly if you're spinning for vivek now you're a bad person um that's for sure all right do you have any regrets before we get to your highlight reel should we you know sometimes it's nice to bring somebody down a little bit before you bring them back up did you have any misses any whiffs um i don't think i spoke about donald trump's enrichment schemes as much as i should have and the fact that his entire family has benefited from his corruption but apart from that i think i really wanted to drive the point home that american culture is not what republicans think it is it's something else it's something it's more than a race or a language it's the governing principles that have made this country so special and i think i did that effectively and for that reason i don't really have a lot of regrets all right let's check it out um the first clip we're going to pull is probably the one that's been going around the most and it's because the your interlocutor gets uh gets the gets the yank you know he gets the hook let's watch that can you let me finish please disenfranchising disenfranchising american voters is actually what is happening because in five states are the only states that on state ids have proof of citizenship in 45 other states you don't have that david so therefore illegal immigrants like you and your family could actually go vote in 45 states i'm a naturalized american citizen okay it's fine i would have entertained him it's fine so everybody missed that he may cause you he says you can't vote because you're an illegal basically there and that's when he gets the boot i mean it's not a surprise he's getting destroyed he doesn't know what he's talking about he doesn't understand our elections so he's going to resort to the ad hom question my legal status republicans do it all the time i mean they just raided ilhan omar's house they think that she committed fraud when she registered to become a citizen i said i was going to entertain it and a lot of people were asking me why i think if you're going to do debate you have to be capable of ignoring or building up a tendency to ignore whenever there's a bigot in front of you because they're going to take advantage of where you're from who you are how you say your name and it's for the purpose of not allowing the conversation to focus directly on the crimes of the trump administration and he tried to flip it on me by saying that there's only five states that show proof of citizenship on the ID. And that's really to put emphasis on his lack of knowledge about elections. That doesn't mean that there's rampant fraud. And he provided no evidence of that being the case. So I didn't want to let him get away with it. But at the end of the day, I think they made the right decision because kicking him off establishes a precedent. That debate is not to be centered on lies regarding my legal status, but rather the substance of the conversation, because I think none of those people deserve to be in that circle. I don't think any of those people deserve any level of political legitimacy, if I'm being honest with you. I'm not saying the rights should be taken away. I'm American, okay? Even though I'm Mexican, we're American, right? We care about democracy, we care about freedom of speech. But we as a society should reject these people wholeheartedly. That's my position. Like you don't want to invite them to brunch, you mean? No, definitely not. I'm never going out to dinner or anywhere. Did you hang with any of them? Did this guy come talk to you afterwards? Nope. He took to Twitter and started calling for my removal from the country. A lot of them actually, by the way. Yeah, a lot of them would call for my deportation, believe it or not. I mean, you are taking that with a bit of chill, which I appreciate. I mean, like, because on the one hand, it is enraging. On the other hand, like, that's what they want. They want you to be fucking enraged. And it's probably better just to, like, make fun of their low IQ. And you know how sad they are. It does it affect me a little? Yeah. But I mean, I live in a nice house. Everything's going good. I can't shift my focus from those that are out there. I'm actually impacted by the disgusting policy of the Trump administration, or how Americans are struggling to focus on insults hurled at me. I mean, it doesn't affect me in any way, shape or form. I think my focus is better spent elsewhere. Should talk about that for a second. I'm just kind of, you know, starting to engage with your with your content since, you know, I just became aware of you. But like the immigration stuff, like when you talk about the people that are being targeted, you know, because I guess this is the degree to which like that kind of racist attack is serious, because it is the racist premise with which the administration is using to torment a bunch of people who many of them actually didn't even come illegally. I mean, I mean, some of them did, and they should still be treated like humans. But like this administration is forming people that came via asylum, TPS, green card holders or green card holders in Dilley. Like, what's your sense for like, you know, kind of the degree of like, what's happening on that issue? And how and whether, you know, Democrats, liberals, you know, should be leaning in on that, from a debate standpoint? 100%. If you consider yourself a liberal, I think core tenets of that ideology of that governing principle is respecting the rule of law, and most importantly, upholding civil liberties. And this administration, essentially having indiscriminate targeting of anybody, as long as you look a certain way, it doesn't matter what your legal status is, doesn't matter how you arrived here. They're showing up to courthouses and pressuring judges to drop asylum claims. They're firing some of the judges. For them to be going out in so brazenly violating our Constitution, violating the rights of so many people, depriving humans of dignity, you can never be okay with normalizing this kind of violence. Deportation, immigration law, I'm not saying it shouldn't exist. We should have enforcement. We should have people that remove threats to public safety. But a green card holder, a student visa holder, speaking their mind about foreign policy issues, or people showing up to court following the legal pathways that Republicans supposedly value, that's not who you should be targeting, right? Those are people that respect our laws. And if anything, it goes to show how Republicans don't respect our laws, because they're subject to removal. Amen to that. All right. Our girl producer Totsie chose this clip in particular because it featured Def Noodles, aka Dennis. Def Noodles, I guess, was a YouTuber that made up shit about celebrities. Then he started to get criticized, and then he became a MAGA weirdo. Anyway, you had an extensive exchange with Def about whether or not Trump is corrupt. Let's watch that. You don't have the knowledge to actually back up your claim. I mean, I made a set of claims. You proved it yourself, brother. I made a bunch of points that you don't want to address. You literally proved that you got schooled a moment earlier in history. If you want to reassure yourself. You can't even cite most presidents. If that makes you feel better. You don't even know. Cite like five presidents right now. If that makes you. Give me five presidents. I'm trying to give you a chance so you can back up your claim. You're going to stay on topic because I need to hone you in because you're being incredibly immature and you're like 30 years old too. Okay, now you're going to just appeal to ad hominems. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, that's it. Again, he lost. Can you define what an ad hominem is? Appeal to ad hominems, that means he lost. You know what you're saying? Oh, this guy lost. You're not really doing a good job. All right, wait. Dennis, Dennis, can you address the claim? That'd be nice. What even? History? So can you give me three examples that are remotely similar or hold a candle to the things that I listed off? I mean, over the course of American history with the insurrection aspect, I talked about Andrew Jackson burning down the White House. You have a problem with that? You've got a bunch of things on top of it, right? Can I finish my point? Okay. I'm so sorry. Relax. Take a breather. You're being really aggressive. You're being really emotional. Really? Of course I'm aggressive. You think I'm going to get up here and just let you walk all over me? Of course not. I'm doing it right now. All right, we're going to pause it here. I like the break of the fourth wall effort by that guy there. He does the camera look. He tries to do the gym. He does that often. That is the debate pro strategy, right? Like he can't engage on the point about the extensiveness of the Trump corruption. And so it's like, well, you know, what about Andrew Johnson or Andrew? Jackson, those, they were both losers too, by the way. Yeah. And even the historical example he said is, I don't recall Andrew Jackson single-handedly burning down the White House. No, he did not. It's so crazy because in the moment you miss those things in real time, that when you watch, why didn't I even address that? It's like, he just couldn't engage. And I think that perfectly encompasses everything that happened throughout that whole surrounded a bunch of non-responsive people who just wanted to deflect and shift the burden onto me. But I'm pretty sure we can, name five presidents. All right. Okay. I'm pretty sure we can do five presidents right now. I could try right now. The burning of the White House was the British troops. Yeah. And I don't, I don't even think that Andrew Jackson was president then. No, I believe it was war of 1812. I'm not a history buff. It was like the Republic era. You know what I mean? But it was a good effort. I don't know if I'd say a good effort. I want to go to this clip because it was slagged for me because your face was great. Let's watch that. Winning. Never sounded so good. So you brought up the Saudi Arabian plane. That was a gift. It was a Qatari plane. Qatari plane. That was a gift to the United States federal government, not Donald. Oh, look at his eye. Oh, he got me. Okay, let's talk about the economic plane. Let's talk about the economic point, bro. I didn't feel like that gentleman was coming to engage you on the merits. No. It's a technicality. Well, it's technically not Donald Trump. He's just going to use public taxpayer dollars to refurbish and change a plane, retrofit it so he can use it in a moment where Americans are struggling. That's not corruption. And then keep it in his library. And then on top of that, just a couple months later, through executive order, I thought Congress had the power to establish treaties, et cetera, say that we're going to provide Qatar with military security guarantees. That is corruption to the highest order. But it doesn't even matter, dude. Does it? Because Obama made money. He made money off of book sales or whatever. It's just so ridiculous. It's so ridiculous. When I think it was Glenn Greenwald did Surrounded. I'm not a big Glenn fan myself personally, but he was carrying this similar point about the corruption through. This is an area of agreement between us. And he said he was pretty shocked by, like, how little the people that he was debating knew just about, like, the basic facts of the corruption of the Trump administration. Did you have a similar observation? Yeah. And it applies to just about everything that they were talking about. They didn't know anything about anything. I remember I asked somebody what democracy is. And she was like, that's when the government rules every system of government. She was a January sixer, by the way. So it's. Let's listen to her. She's one of our favorites. Let's watch her. We've got one more clip. Let's pull up this side. I'm excited. Miss democracy. Also, during the. Excuse me. No, keep it going. Are you laughing at me? Yes. Why? Because I just think that's ridiculous. - Ridiculous, is Andrew Paul Johnson a pedophile? drink Jan 6, yes or no? No. He wasn't. So he didn't have a sexual attraction to kids. I'm sure he did, but we didn't know that. It doesn't really matter, right? If there's an insurrectionist that assaulted police officers trying to overthrow. No, he didn't. He was in the room. He was in the sting room. He didn't hit anybody on January 6th. This guy is an insurrectionist. No, he's not. He's standing alongside. None of us were. None of us were? Us? You were there too? Of course. That was a big reveal. It was insanity. It was insanity. It's like, oh, he just broke into the Capitol with us. He's not a bad guy. He's great, actually. And I find it so funny how I mention that one of the pardoned January 6ers went on to be a child molester who took advantage of two little girls that attended the school he worked at. And they're like, oh, but was he a pedophile before? It doesn't matter. This guy should have been in jail. And then he got pardoned and went on to commit more crimes. It's just so crazy the lengths they'll go to. And then she went on to say that in breaking into the. the Capitol on the day of the certification of the vote. That's not even that serious. Come on. What's wrong? These people are living in a different reality. It was insane. I couldn't. That was a catch in the moment when you were just like, what? You were there too? Exactly. I was so shocked. And she talked about it like it was just a regular day, walk in the park, you know? Ridiculous. I like the tires episode, you know? It's like, that's our building too. That's our building too, bro. Okay. My final most important question for you is talk to me about the fit choice. There. What was. Why'd you decide to go with that just kind of black tee casual? What was on the tee? Was there a message? Well, I don't think that I deserve to wear a suit right now, right? But we had Obama on the shirt. And it was just a. It was a statement, right? You're just living out. It's just like, I'm gonna live out. Solidarity with an American patriot, okay? I think Obama's been incredibly active in these elections. I have a lot of respect for him, obviously. So why not throw him on the t-shirt, right? Throw him on the t-shirt. It's a sign. Democrats, make you money, okay? Democrats make you money. So after this, do you have, like, the taste for more? Are you planning on, you know, kind of going into MAGA circles and doing, you know, kind of debate me, bro stuff? Like, what's. What plans do you have, David? Well, I think debate will always be at the center of American politics. And the ability for me to defend my beliefs, I think, is integral to being able to properly articulate them as well. So putting myself in those positions, I think, is incredibly important. And also, it's a tool that I think is really effective when it comes to showing people how spineless, how crazy some of the pundits you see that represent the right, or some on the left, for example, who aren't really about what they say they're about. And they're incredibly opportunistic. They don't care about any of these issues. They're not informed whatsoever. I've been on Surrounded twice prior to this moment, where I debated Tim Pool and Dave Rubin. And, I mean, I want to add Stephen Crow to that list. I want to add Scott Jennings. I want that on the list as well. Everybody I can possibly, talk to, to show the viewer how crazy they are. You crushed Tim Pool. Oh. I should have pulled that one, too. It was brutal. We'll save that one. That'll be a little teaser for next time. Do you get any Normies? Feedback from Normies? Like, that is a nice thing about doing that. Like, regular people, like, watch that. Not totally political psychos. I was surprised, because I didn't think my approach was going to be too popular. I know a lot of Americans don't ever like entertaining the possibility that politics is turned into this very, all over the place, very aggressive concept or subject, sorry. Yeah. But, I was pleasantly surprised. A lot of people actually came out in support. They felt like it was a breath of fresh air. That somebody was finally talking to these people the way they deserve to be talked down to. And it's all for the purpose of shifting, or I guess shrinking the Overton window back to a place where being a Nazi is not acceptable on the right. Or being some crazy, illiberal radical is not acceptable on the left. So, I think for the most part, it made a positive impact, and I'm glad that it did. But I won't always be a disrespectful piece of shit. I'm 20 years old, so give me like, by the time I'm 30, I'm sure I'll be a lot more composed, you know. I learned a lot more because of this moment. Listen. I thought you were composed. You had it. I mean, you know, I thought you handled it well. I appreciate it, brother. Thanks for coming on the channel. Anytime. Thank you so much. And let's stay in touch, alright? Hell yeah, of course. Thank you, guys. Winning never sounded so good.
