The episode explores the NBA offseason through a lens of shifting dynamics, with a focus on the rising strength of the Eastern Conference. The pendulum has swung significantly, as teams like the 76ers, Knicks, and Bulls gain depth and competitiveness, while West Coast dominance has waned, making the East more engaging for fans. This shift is amplified by the growing importance of young talent, with teams relying on draft picks and low-cost contracts to build sustainable rosters. The Knicks' championship victory ignited a powerful cultural moment, with fans across the city embracing the win in a uniquely enthusiastic way. Other underrated moves include the Hawks’ strategic drafting and Phoenix’s coaching transformation. The podcast also highlights broader trends: the emergence of new coaches, the potential of NBA Europe’s 2027 launch, and the rising impact of WNBA stars like Olivia Miles, whose nickname "The Spectacle" reflects both her play and fan passion. Amid the lack of major news, the conversation underscores how offseason decisions shape long-term competitiveness and culture. The hosts also reflect on personal experiences—like watching the WNBA or indulging in true crime content—showing how the offseason opens up a broader cultural landscape where fans engage with sports beyond the game itself.

Welcome to The Mismatch.
I'm Chris Varney, and joining me as he does every week
from TheRinger.com is Dave Jacoby.
Jacoby!
So, Verno, like, I'll never lie into a microphone.
That's something I've been saying for years.
I was looking at what we're going to talk about today,
and I was like, you know what?
There's not, just, just, just not a lot of news.
You know, like, there's just, just, like,
it's like, uh, uh. You died down.
Wendy signed a shoe deal.
It's like, it's like, oh, okay.
Because, you know, I produce,
I produce Game Over 2, and, like,
I'll do the rundown for them
and try to scrape something together.
But, like, between me and you, man,
I was concerned about it,
and you sent me a great text.
Tell me, tell the people the text you sent me.
Well, look, we had two choices.
We were either going to do the loves and loathes
of the NBA offseason thus far,
or we were going to one-up Bill
and redraft the 1983 NBA draft.
Every draft, yeah.
Yes.
And so, we decided. Between the mailbags and the redrafts,
I know. Bill doesn't listen, so I can say this.
Bro, between the mailbags and the redrafts, like. You know what?
It should be, like,
it should be, like, a mailbag.
This first one is from Bill Simmons to Bill Simmons
because I've been mailing in the summer.
When you used to produce the show,
were you in charge of putting together all the emails?
No.
No, it's always been his gig.
And he gets a lot, too.
He gets a lot.
One thing about Bill is he will keep old emails.
He'll, like, forward you an email from. 2008 that you forgot about just randomly.
Like, this dude is on it.
He's got a memory in an archive, like, you don't even know.
Amazing.
All right, so we are going to do our loves and loves
of the NBA offseason.
And now that everything did die down completely,
kind of what we are left with thinking about
as we have now headed into the total downtime
of NBA and NBA news.
There's still, like, a couple free agents.
There's the Ben Mather and thing.
There's a restriction free agents out there.
There are loose ends to be tied.
I incorporated a news item into one of my loves and loves
that I don't want to tease.
I'll tease for later.
But there's stuff happening and stuff to happen.
There always is.
There's some stuff going on.
All right, we're going to start with my first love.
What I am left with from this NBA offseason,
more than anything, is the rise of the East.
And this is twofold.
A, the more I look at it, and again,
maybe I was being swayed a little bit by,
being in Milwaukee a week and a half ago,
where I was like, you know,
I really like Taylor Jenkins in Memphis
when he was coaching.
And I love Braden Burry's when I watched him at Summer League.
I was like, sure.
Me too.
And they got Khalil Ware and Tyler Hero.
This is where you're starting the show, my guy?
No, no.
All I'm saying is, the last time we talked about this,
we missed it.
We didn't mention that really there's only like three teams
that are like out of it.
And that's probably true with the Bucs, the Bulls, and the Nets.
Right?
But the Bulls, like, you know, they've obviously,
they got the-
First of all, the Bulls is one of my loves for later.
So hold on.
But they've got the Caleb Wilson thing.
They've got Norm Powell.
They've got Nick Clacks.
They might not be horrible.
The Bucs might not be horrible.
Like, the Nets are-
They're probably the only one that's like legitimately horrible.
Okay?
So all I'm saying is, you've got the deepest this thing has ever been
by a wide margin.
What we were trying to go through last week and be like,
who are the eight teams and who are the three or four
that we're leaving on the outside looking in?
Because we were down to like, you know,
the Pacers are getting Halliburton back and the Raptors have Kawhi
and the Heat added Giannis and on and on and on.
And, but more important,
I was thinking about this this upcoming year.
One of the hard parts about being,
doing an NBA podcast on a regular basis is,
I feel this inordinate-
There's no hard parts.
Yeah.
No, no, no.
Hear me out.
The pressure to stay up late for these West Coast teams
and the fact that these West Coast teams,
the Lakers, all the California teams,
now, like the Lakers and the Kings,
and the Warriors,
and like most of the teams that are now on the West Coast,
like, I'm not going to feel,
like, I love that the pendulum has swung.
The East has got a bunch of guys now.
And most importantly, that's a ton.
I live in Central Time Zone.
So that's a ton of six o'clocks
and a ton of seven o'clock where I live.
And then the only ones, like those 930 games where I live,
which are 1030 where you live,
like,
you had to watch those.
Like, you had to find out,
especially if you were going to be doing a podcast.
It was like, bro,
what was going on with Curry and all them for so long?
And what was going on with LeBron and Luka and LeBron for so long?
It's like the less relevance of the late teams
and then this rise of the East,
which now seemingly is going to be incredibly fun.
Like, the fact that I,
I was just for fun screwing around the other day
and trying to slot them in.
Like, when I heard somebody say,
I think the 76ers should be the favorite or whatever, right?
And then I'm like, all right, well, then you got the Knicks.
And the fact that I'm trying to slot in and figure out, like,
okay, where am I putting the number one team that won 60 games?
Because I'm pretty far down the list.
And that was the Pistons.
I know, it's crazy.
But, I mean, that's how good that, you know,
that sideline is.
That's how good that side of things have gotten.
And so there's twofold.
A, I love that the pendulum has swung.
And now the Eastern Conference is so deep.
And they're with the, with so many stars going over there
and not being able to figure out who are going to be the ones
that are the big disappointments
that made the big swings in the offseason.
But maybe even more importantly,
that the teams in the West,
and especially on the far West Coast,
are not absolute must-see,
I can't live without.
I can't live without knowing what happened in their game
the night before.
And that is the first time that has been true in,
I can't remember how, honestly.
Like, you gotta go back three more years?
Three warriors, Curry?
No, but then, but then the Lakers.
Wait, Kobe was in the Lakers.
Even before, even before then, yeah.
Yeah, so, first of all,
I was ready to push back on this thing.
Because, because staying up to watch basketball games
professionally is like not, you know,
I used to have like real jobs.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's not hard work.
But it is annoying.
Especially when, like, the team that was down 20 at the half
makes a 15-0 run in the third quarter.
You're like, oh, goddammit.
But still.
I mean, during those Warriors years.
The West is extremely intriguing.
During the Warrior years,
you could never go to bed at halftime
because the third quarter,
they'd bomb everybody out.
Well, do you remember when they went there?
It was a 17-game win streak?
21-game win streak?
I forget the number.
But it was like, they were basically like,
like a band on tour.
Where it's all that,
mattered was where they were,
who they were playing,
and were they going to win or not.
But a couple things I want to say.
Number one,
I don't have this in the rest of the show,
so I'll just say it now.
If you were to ask me,
is a team from the Eastern Conference
or the Western Conference
going to win the championship next year,
I would probably gun to my head,
bet on the team from the Western Conference.
So the power balance has shifted somewhat.
Kawhi, we don't know.
Who cares?
Whatever.
But like,
I do still feel like the Spurs and the Thunder,
who are going to get their second-best player back,
for real,
are like the favorites.
Wouldn't you say that?
Yes.
Okay.
I mean, certainly.
That's why I'm making sure we're on the same page.
I mean, I think it's Spurs, Thunder, Knicks.
I mean, at the top,
and then the rest are, you know,
either big or small question marks.
You know, we got to see.
Yes.
Thanks for watching!
right we got to see yes and those are the three teams that were massively confident in which by
the way eastern conference eastern time zone two central time zone teams yeah all good point and
and also like do you remember like as an eastern conference fan my entire life shout to your um
larry bird t-shirt yeah shout to legend the west coast road trip was a thing that would kind of
like be intimidating it's like well they got this game they got this game tonight against the hornets
at home in the garden and then they're going on the west coast road trip and it's the clippers
and the lakers and then they go up and they play the kings that'll be a win and then they play the
warriors and they go play the blazers like that used to be like a let's hope we you know let's
hope we go two and three on that trip oh on the way back you're getting like the thunder and the
nuggets like the west coast road trip doesn't feel as intimidating as it used to oh yeah and i mean
look and and
and and i say this is covering a team that was a a playoff team for like whatever it was seven
years in a row or whatever and then obviously had the morant run too like you would build up
your record playing against the east yeah that's what that was for you know i mean you would go
and be like okay now you got indiana and charlotte and you know orlando and whatever you like that's
where you were getting your wins because you're coming back and you're playing houston dallas and
san antonio let me tell you my first love
let me hear
berno we've been doing one show a week and we i feel like we haven't talked as much
you know what i mean like i feel like our relationship has changed a little bit doing
one show a week you know what i mean you just referenced our show last week i was like i don't
remember we talked about like i i feel less close to you and we need to change that that was uh look
last that's not my love that's not my love that's not my love do you know my love is
the knicks won the championship and nothing else matters oh shut up nothing
matters do nothing matters that you're not here the city is absolutely on fire still i still see
strangers wearing a knicks t-shirt and they're just like walking by me not even saying hi being
like nixon five it's just like what everybody says to each other like it's a it's a new way
it's a new salutation just to be like nixon five like this is not changed at all this i have not
felt this city be this happy about it
even like the eli manning giants and like the yankees won a ton nothing has been like this
it's still absolutely ablaze with nicks enthusiasm they made these like cheap t-shirts there was like
whoever came out with the first one like they must have printed like a hundred thousand because
there's this one version of the knicks championship t-shirt which is just everywhere and people are
still wearing them kids wearing them parents wearing them there i had a kid at my house from
london yesterday he's 10 years old and he's wearing a knicks t-shirt and he's wearing a
he had a brunson jersey on he is from london with an english accent it's just like this city is
unlike anything i've ever seen and we're talking about off-season loves like i just love that the
priority was like re-sign alvarado re-sign shamit re-sign clarkson get diawara involved yes
mitch is gone sorry huck porty's gone i've spent this summer
mitchy robinson is not valuable whatsoever even though even though he had the biggest
offensive rebound this side of og and adobe well it's uh you can't call it the biggest
when you have a caveat right next to it and i'm just like yeah he never really played that much
he's injured a lot i was like yeah whatever mitch you know like the trucks are cool but
but it's just i just can't express to you because you're not here being here
this summer has been unique in my god 30 years with a stint in los angeles of being here it just
there's nothing like it it's like don't talk to me about summer league i don't care wait don't
talk to me about tyler nickel jack kill bill dale hold on did you live there the whole time you were
working at espn yeah
i never went to bristol i didn't know that i no there were there were years where i would
monday through friday in a hotel in bristol and then come back for the weekend yeah never
never lived in bristol you just you've never been to bristol if you go to bristol you understand why
i have oh yeah i have but like well no like audition audition and didn't didn't get the part
no so is that too much i'm sorry no i don't mind i was a big like i was a big up-and-coming
sports talk host whatever
it was 20 years ago and so they identified me and wanted to bring me there to meet everybody
to walk around to like so i spent the day with mike and mike and then colin wasn't there i think
it was uh casillia in the arts casillius or somebody was like filling in yeah yeah and yeah
yeah and now and then i was around all day casillius yeah he was like a local yeah connecticut
i believe i don't want to like miss i don't remember his
career perfectly but he's he was like the guy that like the executives would listen to when
they're on their way in because he was a local radio guy well and then i was bring him on and
then i was around all of dan's guys all day and met all them and they were great like everybody
was super cool and so like i walked around the campus whatever and then i go and i meet with the
guy and i i don't mind telling this story i meet with the guy and they're talking to me about what
was the guy's name they were doing like night i he was the guy in charge of radio at the time again
this is 20 years ago and it's like it was important 20 years ago it was like it was yeah they were
offering me weekends and like like talking about a bit about doing weekends and stuff like take we
take it dan patrick told me not to true story he he saw your potential and he was threatened
no he he heard the voice he heard the takes he was threatened no i would take the gig dude no
this is what he told me this at the time he goes you're not going to be able to do this you're not
you have a great thing going which i did and he goes if you take that gig they will never see you
as anything more nobody's moving from the nights and the weekends to what you want to be and i was
like say less i didn't do it yeah and he was like eventually one day you might have the fortune to
be partnered with david jacoby on an nba podcast it's exactly he actually said the word for work
for work yeah he did say that he told me that story actually yeah he told me that story dan
patrick was great to me i love dan patrick i mean honestly and he and he gave me people with
negative stories about him he gave me other great advice throughout the years like he was always
really good to me but not like that and that was good advice at the time he and and watching it
i watched as it went on and nobody that was on nights and weekends ever ended up during the day
you know the nights and weekends guy and you also come in at a nights and weekends salary we don't
have to do too much like inside baseball right but if you come in at a nights and weekends salary
they're never gonna be like you know what let's
x that we love this guy it's just not gonna happen you know that's right that's right but
when you blow up in memphis and then you're the guy and then they bring you in for a regular spot
you get the regular spot salary correct um um all right my first you changed you changed somehow
you changed it from the next one the championship because you hated the next one the championship
i don't hate you wanted to change the subject i was so happy for you it was unbelievable i asked
you if you lived in new york when you worked at espn because i had never even thought of that
i figured you just lived in connecticut like everybody else did like don't they live in
hartford or something like that i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
some crap yeah west hartford yeah they live in hartford shut to max's oysters yeah but you just
never lived there huh interesting there ain't nothing there it's not my lifestyle there's
espn that's it right all right uh loads this is easy for me this is uh nba offseason load
the second apron and what and now we are really feeling the impact of this right we've
seen it over and over again and we've got this weird thing going on right now where
you can have this you know you say like the thunder right they got this homegrown talent
that's now elsewhere with whether it's lou dort or aaron wiggins or isaiah joe or whatever else
obviously the biggest of those is jaylen brown moving to philadelphia this year a choice that
they made but these choices are being made because guys are getting paid at a rate now
where they're not getting paid at a rate where they're not getting paid at a rate where they're
they're making like they might not even be able to be your best player anymore but they're getting
paid 60 70 000 and it's almost like or 70 million dollars right that's a weekend rate at espn but i
mean so now i do wonder when you've got a smart guy like brad stevens and i said when he was sitting
up there i was like you know he might have a point though this is going to be wildly unpopular about
team building and can you do this can you have x percentage of your cap into two amazing players
that are getting the absolute maximum contracts for being all nba and whatever else and time will
tell on that and so now if we put ourselves into a position where even if you do get these two
amazing players your only chance is to be have like your best player take a team friendly contract
like we did with wimby and i think that's a really good point and i think that's a really good point
with wimby this offseason obviously that was a huge brunson story with what he did
enabling the Knicks so is that the choice that's going to have to be made and I believe it was
Bill that mentioned this in passing several months ago and this is really stuck in my head
and I want to get behind this a million percent that in this new era now that we have seen what
it has wrought and that teams are going to be consistently losing players and fans are going
to be losing guys that they you know maybe even role players right as soon as they get good as
soon as it's time to pay them now we got to move on and we got to replace them with more cheap
salaries and then we got to make another if god forbid you draft three really good ones now we're
having to choose between those three right now we're having to choose between those three or
whatever and it's like I and this is what I want to get by they have to implement and I think this
fixes it when you
think about through the prism of the fans you get a discount on guys you draft end of story it counts
less against the cap whether that's 10 which would be a huge number right but that you're
six million dollars sure well it is now well that's a player now and that's a player for some
of these teams that's players 11 through 15 now
honestly because 11 through 15 it's 8 through 15 no no no no no no I'm saying that's what all of
them get paid combined is six million dollars honestly like that's a lot of teams um because
what they're doing is they're just drafting or they're bringing in undrafted or they're bringing
up g league guys or they're converting their two ways whatever to fill out those roster spots
because everything you know your salary is so top heavy so but but if you did that for all your
guys right and now all of a sudden you that's everything they wanted to take place they want
these teams to be able to build through the draft to be homegrown and whatever else and so there has
to be a way where these guys that you can pay your own players but if you drafted them and you
develop them it counts whatever it is 10 less on your cap while they're still getting paid the full
now if they go elsewhere and if they go elsewhere then you don't get that break anymore and whatever
you attain don't you don't get that break but I do I feel like that's the way because otherwise
there's just going to be such extreme player movement and these teams like you're never
going to be able to have longer than a two-year run I mean I think that's your max I think you're
really like two years and then then the decisions have to be made or enough guys are going to have
to break up
from it or whatever else unless you've got a bunch of young guys on cheap salaries which is what we
just talked about you know regarding this the Spurs right and and and when I made that point
during the season you might have to be young you know going forward obviously the vets are the ones
that want it this year but going forward that may be the way is to just have three or four guys that
are just wildly outperforming their
competition
contracts because they're on their rookie deals because by the time it's time to pay them
everybody's getting 200 million dollars if you're worth a crap if you don't have three or four
rotation players that are worth more than their salary then you are not going to be a contender
right it's pretty much that simple and there should not be a world in which you draft Victor
Wimbenyama, Steph Castle, and Dylan Harper and before Dylan Harper's rookie year is over
we're sitting here being like well what's going to happen in the future?
they're going to have to make a decision like that's gross it makes me just like I don't even
like talking about I know it's like you made three great draft picks in a row yeah and now we're
talking about well how are they going to sustain this and I'm just going to go into one of my lows
I was going to do later because I don't want to talk about Wemby all the time but one of my lows
is that Wemby took less you know I've got a complicated history with Wemby people listen
to mismatch know that I've been not liked Wemby since like pre-season last year you know what I
mean no put your cigarette away put your cigarette away I can't find it no one can see it and he's
looking for his stupid friend's cigarette I can't find it let me make my point because I'm I listen
everyone knows I have some complicated history with Victor Wimbenyama but I will say this is
I respect him as a basketball player I respect him as a competitor I respect his work ethic
and I respect and I understand I recognize him as one of the best basketball players in the
National Basketball Association he will win multiple MVPs and hopefully for him multiple
championships right um that's me being nice I don't think someone from their rookie year
to their second deal that's the big deal that second contract who won defensive player of the
year should have to take close to 50 million dollars less to keep the team competitive and
then you read the articles it was like well Tim Duncan did it for the Spurs for the Spurs culture
well guess what Tim Duncan had already made tons of money
won championships and he made those concessions like to ask someone who's going into their what
is it going into their fourth year in the league be like listen for us to win even though we went
to the finals for and we beat the champions last year in game seven and you had a huge part of that
for us to win you're gonna have to take less like they didn't ask him he did that on his own you
know he did that oh stop it oh stop it and also he said he yes
I think he walked in the room and said you know what guys like whatever you guys put in front of me
I'm just gonna sign because I have such faith in the organization I just load the fact we paid his
market value he's not getting paid his market value on his second deal and Jalen Brunson who
knows what happened there but he was also a second round pick he was not like an a1 number one option
all NBA guy when he signed that deal to do that to the future face of the league like one of the
guys to have him to go into a meeting with him and be like the the contracts are such that we could
pay you x but we're gonna pay you x minus y is not fair they they he ended up signing for 252 million
dollars over five years 25 the max you just don't like that he could have gotten 303 million dollars
you just don't like it the Brunson's no longer the guy be honest oh and also the guy that took
last year to be good I'm trying to make this a positive winby segment all right so I'm gonna keep
this up and I'm not gonna say anything like that wait wait till you find out that he's now part
owner of a Rhode Island soccer team yeah he's gonna show up with Siegel and stables hats and
some twists off the off season all right when the sun goes down the appetizers come out yeah

1-800 gambler let's get to uh my second love underrated acquisition all right so this was
the summer of LeBron and Jalen Brown and Giannis and LaBello and all these guys but some of the
things I like so I was going through all the teams and what they did I love this right now I was gonna
say that I love this as one of your loves and I'm excited to hear it go the Hawks have a bunch of
good players now so they got Devin Carter who I liked out of the draft and it's just been like
you know doing nothing in Sacramento like it's been in witness protection but I liked him coming
out of the draft um his dad was an assistant coach for the Grizzlies at the time uh it was a long time
ago um Aaron Wiggins Lou Dort Ryan Nemhard I really liked him for Dallas last year yeah I think
starting with Carter was a bit of a slow play but yeah I think I think door no you know and then they
got and then they got Kingston Flemings and Zuby and then uh the the tall kid from uh North Carolina
right uh visar or whatever his name was too like they did pretty good in the draft where they looked
like hit on three different guys there then they got these guys and they were already pretty good
they got off a recent they didn't give up really anything and I like it just feels like they could
really be like the deep try hard team that's like better than like they're like all these other
teams have bigger stars but that like the Hawks are actually really good because they just got a
bunch of good players um obviously so then when I was going through it here's some other underrated
ones
I think the Bridges one went a little bit under the radar simply because lamello went to uh went
to
but miles bridge is going to phoenix who had a yeah they had a good season last year kelly
upre to indiana kelly upre had a sneaky good season last year oh hell yeah i mean a lot of
opportunity to have a good season because they were running out some lineups when they were all
injured or whatever i got it but i mean like someone's gonna get 20 they play that space and
pace and space thing at indiana you know they're flying up and down the court and halliburton will
get you good shots you just got to knock them down yeah if halliburton's got the ball and you're on
the wing you don't go to the cup you just go to the if you're kelly uber you just go to the
go to the three-point wing and you're good also i'm gonna give you one that is so far under the
radar it's unbelievable do you know deandre ayton is a wizard yes i do know that which is again
i've always hated deandre ayton but he said always hated but when he was when he was when the when
the sun oh no okay okay i take it when they were up to nothing yeah he was fine then great games
we were like we're like oh yeah number one pick for sure i was fine with him then but
but the rest of the time he has played like he wears airpods when he plays but if he's my backup
and like my you know little ad insurance i was like you know what he's actually in a spot that
it's a weird spot for sure but i mean he ain't playing in front of sar and ad so it's like
do you ever play in front of sar and ad so it's like do you ever play in front of sar and ad so
deandre ayton is my backup it's pretty good you know what i mean um and trey young will get you
if you are over 610 and semi-competent trey young will get you three buckets a game and then
obviously the greatest and most underrated acquisition in the history of team sports
is isaiah stewart i knew you were gonna say i mean what are we talking about it's not what are
we even talking about what are we even talking about yep all right go to your go to your next
my next love all right i've already i've changed my order
here all right i'm gonna do this one
the chicago bulls are going to be this year's hornets oh gosh how
first of all there's 150 players that are like quote-unquote starters in the nba and if you look
at any team starting five they're all kind of like sucker free like even like the nets you're
like i don't know man they got randall and porter jr i like that choman kid they're like the bulls
yay yay yay yay gore second year lead yeah yay gore joman if he was just
igor demon i would love him so much more but anyway
josh giddy norm powell bruzilis caleb wilson
rude rejuvenated nick claxton rejuvenated i like nick claxton i
don't know what's that ty jones okoro swain jalen smith patrick williams
oh that got dark quick the starting five i like the starting five i started by saying the starting
five no giddy powell bruzilis wilson is terrible is it are you sure it's i mean it's fun to watch
caleb wilson are you sure that's terrible
norm powell since he went to the clippers since he left the country of canada something about canada
he was an all-star last year norm no that's what i'm saying like norm powell's been like a
20 point a game guy with the clippers and in the with the heat giddy's a table setter
and then bruzilis wilson claxton like that's terrible you're saying it's terrible i think
they will be fun to watch because of wilson and that's where it ends
yes i think they're gonna be awful awful it's my opinion it's just my opinion
it did the lead that that the easter conference is awesome awesome it's and as soon as you got
to player six i was like it's tough it's like remember jalen smith remember jalen smith he's
there do i ever all right uh my next load i i'm gonna do this one quick because i don't want to
spend a lot of time on this one i'm gonna do this one quick because i don't want to spend a lot of
time the never-ending clipper story so what we're doing 2027 now is that what we're doing
the latest headline is like this is gonna take longer what 2027 i watched that last pablo torre
podcast because i was like all right what's that what now bro i love pablo i'm not watching that
shit i need someone else to watch it's like a movie so it's like a movie it's gotta come out
someone needs to watch it and tell me it's great and then i'll watch it but he teases it online
with these little like tomorrow we got an episode dropping
got an update on the i watched it oh i love pablo that's a friend of mine
until someone tells me it's good i'm out bro they said they said that that's why i made the
the rhode island soccer team joke because him and uncle dennis have a stake in this
right they have a stake in the rhode island soccer team and it's like i watched the whole
damn thing and it kind of gets the editor like not a hundred percent if this is nefarious but
it's worth looking into and i'm just thinking to myself the next morning adam silver and them have
to be like are you serious right now yeah we're gonna we're gonna avoid that 200 million dollar
contract because of a rhode island soccer team first of all the nouns in that sentence rhode
island no one even knows where it is ask somebody in idaho where rhode island is like is that is it
a road on an island and this soccer team like soccer like soccer there was the world cup left
every flew away yep
it's in paul it's in paul tuckett paul tuckett the paul socks that's where the the minor league
team for the uh the red sox yeah no longer there hold on a second speaking of minor league
they're they're worse have we talked about you versus joey joey chestnut i don't think so
uh you gotta i'm gonna put 45 seconds on the clock go um so competed against joey chestnut
in uh that was one of the things i did this summer in an eating contest
we're eating barbecue nachos which were like truly disgusting because that's awful because
pork on there yeah but look i love barbecue nachos but because you can't like he can't eat
with speed like with chips with the throat thing like you could cut up your throat pretty good
doing that so it had to be soggy so imagine the chips yeah
so the barbecue and the cheese and everything had been on there for hours
so it was just it's just slop you know i mean you know and yeah oh i mean buddy i was looking
out of the corner of my eye and he ate the whatever five pounds of it in i think it was
what is that 45 seconds you're 45 seconds are up yeah in two two minutes and 12 seconds that's
how long he ate him and i was like thank god i don't know if i almost threw up twice
terrible but i'm glad i did it and let me just say this i just want to let everybody know this
i was around this guy the entire night this guy number one is crazy famous but took every picture
signed every autograph he was so nice to everyone and i know he was getting a lot of the times like
you have a special guest like that they'll go and like hide out in their dressing room when
they're not having to do their meet and greet or whatever they're not having to do their meet and
their performances or whatever no he was in the mix the whole time like with people what he was
great he i i was mega impressed he was the nicest guy joey chest you know do you know who i learned
that from jalen anthony rose we could be late to we'll be late to a live show someone will be like
i know you're famous can i take a picture he'll stop take a picture he's like just never take it
for granted oh everybody he's like everybody everybody asked him for a picture but also do
not take a picture of jalen rose if you did not ask
that's not that's that's fair all right so i didn't really hear your joey chestnut story
because i just realized that on the zoom you put your name as el verno diablo
it's a little distracting i don't want to know the story of el verno diablo let's just get to
your you don't no you no you will no you will love this my yard guy the guy cuts my yard sergio
he only calls me diablo he doesn't think i've heard this before he doesn't
know my name that's that's the best that's the greatest relationship he's never known my name
and it's because that was my name on cash app or whatever it was when i first spent the money
it was our screen name me and my son when we had to make a video screen
so how do you want how do you want me to pay you he's like um do you have only fans
yeah oh they it's always it's always it's always cash app or zell or it's never
yeah it's never anything on the books um uh anyway the never-ending clippers thing and it's
like it's awful i don't care anymore wake us up in 2027 yeah and then once the ruling comes out
the appeal is just like i don't care okay put him on the raptors i don't care put him on the
rap all right you're big buddies with pablo right like this guy is like one of your best friends in
the world so not one of the best ones i didn't see him two weeks ago on saturday ryan holmes house but
yes okay so do this
just say next time you're with him since you're around them say pablo just
unleash it all because you're the one doing this just drop it all out that way they can do their
goofy investigation and then we can be done with this but they know that the second they make a
ruling he's gonna drop another damn podcast you know they do they're like it's just ridiculous
that like a law firm that they've paid hundreds of millions of dollars to are waiting for like
my buddy from espn to release a podcast all right your next load
this is emotional
the warriors missing out in lebron and like i do like yaxl nothing else of significance
they lost quentin post to your stupid grizzlies i they brought back green melton horford payton
but they're like like what is this team
i cannot believe you said you like i hate yaxl more than any player i've hated in the last 10
years oh good really truly that whole that when he beat the grizzlies in summer league and then
was like some people are built for it and some people i was like oh i can't stand
because draymond's gonna retire at some point so you can just transfer that
to yaxl think draymond's gonna beat him up in training camp i'm just like i just don't it's
a thing where it's like i don't feel a certain way about a player staying with a team their entire
career and i just feel like we are at the twilight of steph's career let's put him on a competitive
team do the right thing if you're the one you are not competitive totally fair all right uh next
love the new coaches i am actually uh so we got dusty may in dallas that's super fun to keep the
coach then he was the michigan coach now he's coaching in the nba he's the new uh you know the
new hot thing he is a draft in his own player over his own player and he's got cooper flag
there in the mix and it's just different and it's fun and it's fun to see how he ends up
you got this gruff uh sean sweeney guy who media guys love who was running the defense at san
antonio and that orlando operation was such a joke to watch last year with five guys just standing
around
all the time like they've got jenkins they've got jenkins you mentioned earlier but they've got
talent there in orlando for sure they have talent that they were supposed to be on the come up so
we'll see how much a coach can if you look at what orlando did this offseason they're basically like
yeah we switch coaches like we we think that was the problem and then he got the pelicans job
jamal mosley did then you've got as you mentioned whatever's happening in new orleans is just like
that's that's just it's it's bizarre i know then you've got
taylor jenkins in milwaukee and then you've got the whole portland chicago thing with mike
taking over portland on a one-year contract when he's going to try to bring john morant off the
bench and then you've got tiago splitter who was the guy that was ousted after doing what everybody
thought was a very noble job in portland taking over that chicago team that you're weirdly in love
with so this is a
good deal we got six new coaches and they're all interesting in some way you know i mean it's not
always liked micah nori's personality i'm not going to act like i'm in the meetings and like
practices to understand what he does with like x's and o's but like he's always been like oh
micah nori's doing the interview i'm gonna listen to it you know what i mean no he's good he's mega
likable he is no but i like the crop i mean it's six new ones and i think that some of them could
make big improvements with those
teams for sure we just had a coach improvement last year with the knicks that ended up reaping
them a championship so i don't know if that is the championship i don't know if that's possible
for any of these i don't know i'm gonna say no i'm gonna put a hard no i'm gonna say absolutely
not there's none of those but could one of these and we also just saw it with phoenix which
everybody thought was gonna suck and that coaching myself included really transformed them it did that
jordan not did an amazing job so these are ones to really like keep an eye on because
i'd say highest upside would be orlando wouldn't you say i think yeah i think sweeney and orlando
if he's good we don't know if he's gonna be good as the head man he's obviously got a good track
record as a great assistant but you never know until they get the the big job they got players
they got talent that's a good one to be on the born from the intensity of a night in the eternal city
introducing born in roma fragrances by valentino feminine perfume donna born in roma features juicy
black currant central jasmine soft cashmere and warm vanilla masculine leaning but unisex
womo has notes of fresh violet leaf aromatic sage green vetiver and mineral salt shop holiday gifts
at macy's.com come up one of the things i loved about this off season is that lebron surprised
that's like it was a surprise you know i was doing i was producing game over in the middle
of the show rich gets up from the chair in a now famous clip leaves to take a phone call comes back
and he's like they just announced lebron to the sixers and i was just like i thought i was in a
fever dream yeah i'm watching the zoom live i was just like the sixers that first shams tweet i was
like i i checked it three times and it's like if you're a sixer
fan shout out chris ryan and greenwald you're like ben dietrich you're like
so traded paul george's contract added shaylen brown lebron james dean wade
anthony simons phylon who knows yeah and we lost like kelly ubre and not much drummond like
andre drum like that's a huge upgrade to a team
enormous offseason beat the celtics in the in the postseason
like and it looked like a team about those players you added it because and and to even
put it into more context the they looked stuck because they had this awesome backcourt but they
got this paul george thing weighing them down it's like they can't move paul george not only did they
move but they not only did they move paul george they moved him for the guy that got fifth in mvp
yeah and i'm looking at all the reports it's like well the might like the cleveland thing is done
the miami thing is done the warriors thing is done it's like well could draymond's clutch and
he always didn't sign his contract and and then it's like well you know the james harden didn't
sign his contract yet somebody's definitely going to cleveland like i i was misled i if you were if
you were to time travel me back a couple weeks and be like power rank the teams where you think
lebron is going i think i would probably have the sixers at five
four for sure it was fun and now i'm looking at this team being like
i could see them winning the championship i could see it i'm not going to predict it but i could see
it i'm not going to belabor this one either because my third load is the the of the nba
offseason is this whole dundon story i just listened to varier on bill's podcast and
obviously i've been i've been reading this stuff i loathe so much that this guy won the stanley cup
carolinas hurricanes like i really do like the fact that he has proof the fact that he has proof
of concept is the worst thing ever because this is just like these are real people they're real
people that work there and like have loved that team and have given their lives and their fandom
for that team and so like whether it's the fan base or frankly the people that have worked for
portland for so many years and now this guy comes in and he's like yeah we're not paying for this
we're not paying for that and you're taking a huge fake cut you're taking a huge fake cut and
oh yeah by the way make sure you print on both sides of the paper and like all this stuff and
the fact that he can lay back be like and it works look what i've done in carolina it's like
oh it's the worst it's the worst some people will for sure live their entire life based on
one success this reminds me of like the guy from counting grows that dated jennifer anston and
then dated every other hot actress in hollywood it was like
the mr jones guy is like the hottest dude in hollywood right now because he had one success
he had one success with the panthers it was like well he knows how to do it right print on both
sides of the paper he said that on midget on on your podcast game over he said that i guess i
should start printing on both sides of the paper because you probably fell asleep probably fell
asleep listening to him talk about his cost-cutting measures
i'm gonna move on before i get in trouble
so we do this podcast twice a week during the regular season
and around the trade deadline there was an obvious like should the pistons
get marketed should they make a move should they get a second creator a second score
dennis jenkins is great but like you know should they do something and i remember saying into this
very microphone that this is an evaluation year for the pistons and i remember saying to this very
are and then address those in the
offseason. I loathe the fact
that there has been
a lot of
data
and I test stuff that we saw in the
postseason that they clearly
have some weaknesses and some things to
address in the offseason and none of it
got addressed.
Let me present to you
Isaiah Joe and John
Collins
and a
disgruntled center who has
not signed his contract yet.
They're losing Tobias
Harris who if you've watched any playoff
games in the last two years was a huge part
of what they did.
They did need shooting
so you know Isaiah
Joe can help there but I just feel
like there was some article that came
out of like a week ago saying Cade Cunningham
tried to like basically recruit everybody
and none of it worked.
Like he was out there trying to help
them too.
Do you remember the story from last off
season where Cade Cunningham
and Jalen Dern went to a cottage in the middle of
nowhere and like left their phones and just like
vibed for a week and that's why they had such a
good on-court chemistry?
I like that. Now the story
from this offseason is Cade Cunningham has
been blocked by every major star in the NBA
and we get text messages
through. I'll take you to a
cottage. But I'm telling
you man like the this team
like you got to remember how you felt in the
moment like going into the playoffs. I was
like this is a championship contender.
They're dangerous. They're dangerous. They're the
number one seed in the east that includes
the Knicks and the Celtics and all
it's like number one seed
and now I look at
them like where would you power rank them in the east
right now? I mean assuming that they work
something out with Jalen Dern. I mean that's how I started the show
who again who is their second
best player and it's Jalen Dern
who is pissed
like every other day. It's
going to sign for less than he feel like he's worth
and he's not going to be in a cottage with Cade Cunningham.
He's like unless that cottage is full of dollar bill
that make up
with that cottage is full of aspiration
contracts that I'm not going
there
probably made
by trees cut down by aspiration
my last love
so in the absence
of the NBA
and frankly NBA news
I have found myself
a few different times tuning
in including on Sunday
I tuned in
to watch the W
NBA and I watched
Olivia miles is my
Olivia miles. I knew it was going to be living
miles. I knew the second you said that in Sunday
I was like I saw it too. Okay, so
let me just say number one.
She's like Kyrie bro. She is so
fun to watch. She is so fun to watch
and beyond that the hair and the
glasses. It's just it's
the whole package. And do you know
she has their fans
of the links that like I guess
part of the fan base that calls her this
that she's
we have lamented
in years past that
like the great nickname
has kind of gone by the
wayside, right? Like there's
not as many great nicknames as
there used to be
bro. There's a portion
of their fan base that call her
I I would put
up there with
it's one of the greatest nicknames
I've ever heard in my life and
I don't know why everybody
has not caught on and it's just
not a thing. Do you know what
they call her? Do you even know? Have you
even heard it? I guess
they call her some other thing. You know, somebody will call
her magic miles or somebody call her this
whatever. No
the spectacle.
Oh my God.
I mean, oh my God with
the glasses and her
game like the spectacle
is one of the greatest
nicknames I've ever heard in
my life. How is
everybody not on board with like
making her the spectacle
Olivia miles? I
do want to say that just
minutes ago we mentioned beef stew. So
I want to put that out there that the nickname is not
over but like it has dried
up a bit from years past
and decades past. But the spectacle
the spectacle with the
spectacles. It's just
perfect. The spectacle
Olivia
miles. I'm like dude as
somebody should get so far behind
this. It's unbelievable because as soon as I
heard that I was like, oh, that
is unbelievable. It
makes you so much cooler
too. And she she is
awesome. God, she's fun to
watch.
She might win rookie of the year and
MVP by the way,
which is very
that's insane. I mean, like
I think two NBA guys have ever
done it. I think it was
it was wilt and
magic.
No, no. Wes on
sell. It's got to be old. Yeah.
And I just want to say
about Wes Unseld. He
was euro stepping. It
wasn't like managing nobly invented this
thing. Like it's not a euros that Wes
Unseld was euro stepping through
traffic in transition in
like 1959 or whatever. Also
great bar bet. Wes
Unseld
was on the last Washington
Wizards team that won 50 games
which Washington Bullets team
Washington Bullets team. That's
seems absolutely impossible.
Just the idea that the league
on a team called the Bullets is also
impossible in
D.C. Yeah.
The spectacle is brilliant.
Yeah, so good. What a great
nickname. And they doesn't roll
off the tongue, but it's kind of like the answer.
It's like, yeah, it's a little like you can't really
like say it. Yeah, I know. And look
you can't make the spectacle go into the
lane, but like no, it's
just like the answer. It'll stick in that
way. You say she is
the spectacle. The spectacle.
Yeah. After she makes a bucket when she's
got an and one, she's walking to the line. Yes.
With glasses and look,
I mean, look, the NBA does not get
by the WNBA does not get anything
behind anything positive and
cool, but they could
be a discourse. That's
what I'm like. Time out, everybody. Reset. Like
you ever go to your Instagram like a reset my
algorithm. Like I just want to reset the
WNBA discourse and be like, focus
on basketball, please, because there's good
basketball being played here. Can we do that?
God.
Oh, your last love. Anyway,
last love.
This story just like popped up. There's a guy
named Nikesh Aurora. I don't
know who he is. He owns some cricket team
in London. Got some people to get some rich people doing rich
people stuff. But he's like, I got a billion
dollars in this NBA Europe team. And I was like,
oh, yeah, NBA Europe.
Like it was like a rumor.
And now they're trying to launch it like
2027, which is
less than half a year away.
It says it says right here. I was
shocked when I read this.
It said like, oh, wait,
the quote, the NBA has targeted the latter
half of 2027 as the
launch of the inaugural NBA Europe season.
Now, is it going to be great
basketball? I don't know.
But like, I'm long on
this league. I think it'll take a decade
to build. It won't be like
NFL Europe. You're old enough to remember that. You're my age.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like that just flopped.
This is going to be this is going to work.
And the quality of player you're going to
get early on is
not good. You're going to get
Quinton Cook. Remember him?
Oh, no, they're getting good players because
they're trying to take good guys.
You're going to get
trying to change it.
International basketball. Yeah.
But I think over time, I
am very bullish on
NBA Europe. And I think that
like literally right now
in the summertime, in the offseason, that
we'll be like, hey, guess what? It's London
against Barcelona tonight. I'll tune into that.
Yep. I'm with it.
Why not? And I don't think it'll happen overnight.
I think it'll happen in
2036 when we're on the mismatch
and I'm still in a closet surrounded
by massage parlors who I saw some
clients coming out of today.
We'll be like, oh,
we'll be doing NBA Europe game recounts.
Recaps.
My last load.
All right. This has nothing to do with the NBA,
but it does. My last load has nothing to do with the
NBA. I'm so excited to hear this.
It does have to do with the fact
that we are in the offseason because this was
about the NBA offseason.
How ridiculously
out of it I am
on TV and movies.
So it doesn't
show up until everything
dies down. And I do watch like
Cardinal baseball games like during this
whatever, but I just told you I was watching the WNBA
over the weekend. I watched that golf tournament
like I just I pretty much
just watch sports. That's all I really
watch. And then I'll like if I've
got downtime, I'll flip on something on Netflix.
Or whatever. But then when
we get to the offseason, everybody starts
talking about all the movies and they start
talking about like there'll be a podcast
about obsession and then there'll
be a podcast about this obsession.
Bro, I
listened there on my
on a grind city media.
The show before me today
had two guys ranking
the 11 Spider-Man
movies. I
saw Spider-Man over the weekend.
I've never seen any of them.
Oh, my God.
I feel bad about that one.
Like, I'll give you an example. I watch
that Idaho murders thing on Netflix.
Oh, hell yeah. I know no information
in there. They're like, hey, maybe someone else did
it. But at the end, spoiler alert, same
guy you thought did it, did it. Yeah.
When also I watch
toxic love story today.
Okay. Yeah. No, but I
was told to. So I do watch like
some of the true crime stuff, whatever.
But it doesn't happen to me until I get to
the offseason where everybody's
talking about movies and tv and i'm like oh god i i just don't even know what you're talking about
like i don't want i and i and then it feels too daunting because i'm so people are like you need
to get into this show it's in its fourth season i'm like so you have to watch behind 30 hours of
television before i catch up to you guys like no everything i'm big on right now bro i'm a house
of the dragon fiend i listen to the midnight boys talk about it i listen to talk the thrones talk
about it i listen to concepcion in the original podcast about i watch an hour show and listen to
like six hours of podcasts about it afterwards you know what that was one of my the thing i did
last summer is i went through and i watched all the white lotuses and then oh i went back and
listened to all the podcasts and i did quite enjoy that i liked doing that they're filming
season four right now that was the one carter got sent home from france that was the one i did watch
i did watch that one last summer but i i even now like i just feel like i don't even know what to
choose i just i always look stuff up and then i'm like yeah i don't i'm so far behind i can't
sometimes it's like some big buzzy show that everyone's talking about you watch the first
episode you're like i don't i don't i don't see it i will i will say i will say this i i've been
to the theater twice this summer which is good uh because i rarely i i've seen toy story five
and the other one is like the other one is like the other one is like the other one is like the
odyssey which are two good ones to go right that's pretty good i got an odyssey story very quick
i bought tickets like six weeks ago to the lincoln square place with the 70 millimeters the place
where i saw the premiere the big theater with the i'm just like christopher nolan designed this
theater for this movie bought tickets for my son and i six weeks before the movie came out
it was on thursday july 30th at 2 p.m
wednesday july
29th i opened up my app the tickets were tuesday july 28th no
and my son was right there and i had to tell him and he hasn't seen it for yesterday and he hadn't
seen it oh this is an origin story it really is oh my god yeah and then he lost his mind so i
bought tickets to alamo draft house which is a great theater 2 p.m on thursday great theater had
great time great seats great screen great everything the app however if you want to
order something i was getting a coke zero a beer and nachos right and the user interface is add
items it doesn't say check out just add items so i'm clicking that didn't add the items i'm going
back click on it again i'm not checking out yet i'm not no checkout button all right next thing
you know someone shows up with three beers and three coke zeros and three nachos
and then five minutes later someone else shows up with one beer one coke zero and one nachos
no and then five minutes later someone else shows up with one beer one coke zero and one nachos this
is finally i was like i i'm not paying a thousand dollars to watch this fucking movie i went back
i'm not drinking six beers in three hours in a movie theater frat party so i had to go back to
be like i'll drink two beers we'll have two coke zeros and i'm not drinking six beers in three hours
and one nachos and the people that worked there were so cool they were like yeah we get it happens
all the time so i gave them 40 they took like 120 off my bill and everybody ended up happy they
actually gave me some free stuff to be honest with you but it was just too much it's like i just my
dumb ass thought add items made like add items to the cart and every five minutes someone's walking
down in the middle of an important movie with another beer and another coke zero and another
nachos i was just like oh my god they're like these guys are going through it yeah and my son
i'm like i didn't order five beers for a movie i just want to have like two it's a three-hour
add item i like add item oh god because you just add item means to the cart and then you check out
from the cart if you go to an alamo draft house i don't know this means add items all right last
one for are you thumbs up on the spider-man it wasn't like it's not like an odyssey experience
where it's like wow that movie changed my life it's a good movie i enjoyed it the night before
i don't like nerd out over like avengers movies so the night before i watched the previous spider-man
movie this one was much better than the previous spider-man movie which i hadn't seen before
i have i have watched all the batman i've watched all those so i guess i haven't seen the robert
i haven't seen the robert pattinson batman i've tried on two planes and fell asleep each time
dude it's good i love zoe kravitz too it's dark it's literally dark like i felt it is it is dark
yeah but it's kind of it's different that one's different but i did like it
just i'm gonna watch that one yeah all right it's long it's long as hell it's like my final
i'm gonna get on the therapy couch again if you don't mind go ahead so you ever like book travel
let me get my wimpy nama cigarette yeah get that get that i'm gonna make this as short as i can
you know when you book travel and you're like yeah i get the flight out is so important but
the flight back like oh look 6 a.m that'll be fine whatever and then when that day comes like
i can't believe i agreed to a 6 a.m flight
back from a bachelor party you know what i mean like yes it's just like the pre-planning like the
thing that happens tomorrow is so important but the thing that happens in like four or five days
is not important i'm that way like i'm like a shark i can only see like a week in front of me
and in february my wife is like quincy always wanted to go on this trip in an rv we're gonna
go to la for a week catch up with some family and friends and then we're gonna drive to denver in an
rv we're gonna rent in los angeles we're gonna go to like some canyons and grand canyon and it's
like hit the southwest and route 66 it's the 100 year anniversary route 66 i mean how much is it
she's like this much i'm like all right let's do it that was february it's like snowing out
it's happening in like two weeks you're doing la stuff i can do but imagine me driving for
five and a half hours through a desert in an rv with four kids and my wife
and then sleeping on the ground in a tent
don't work
doing it the next day to go look at the grand canyon i like to do stuff i don't like to look
at stuff like i looked at the washington monument i'm like yeah it's like the fucking pictures
i can move on in 30 seconds the grand canyon i've been to before it's like yeah there it is
it's huge looks like the pictures it's a big old canyon let me get a selfie in front of it and
move on it's a 45 second experience for me like the idea that i agreed to this and now that it's
coming up is absolutely insane and then before that here's the kicker are they excited about
it yeah oh very excited okay and then and then tomorrow you're listening on tuesday wednesday
dad has a bad attitude about it oh wednesday you're listening on tuesday wednesday my wife
flies to europe to hang out with her friends for two weeks so i've got three of the four kids by
myself for two weeks and then i fly with three of the four kids to los angeles where she meets us
oh no so i'm single dadding for three weeks
and then driving like it like a chauffeur through a desert for five days that's my summer vacation
and it's all my fault i don't even have anybody to blame i agreed to this willingly
this was presented to me in february and i'm like yeah done no problem and now that it's here i'm
just like were you drunk or in bed no i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
when this is agreed insanity i need to bleed insanity no when this was agreed to i just don't
care i'm not drunk or in bed i just i'm just like whatever that makes you happy cool because it's
literally five months away you've already been you you figured it would just pass it would pass
yeah i'm like i'm like i'm watching a knicks game being like i gotta take notes because i
gotta talk to verno about this tonight there's no no way this actually gets planned i have no
foresight i just have no it's this is a me problem it's not a her problem or my family problem i
did this to myself but i agreed to this and i'm single parent of three children for two weeks
and then i take those three kids including a one and a half year old fly to los angeles
oh six hour flight and then drive six hours a day around the southwest so we can look at
fucking canyon this is good it's gonna be look and obviously we got a tent on the ground no you're
gonna make unbelievable memories that's what's gonna happen to kobe i spoke with joe house
earlier today about this you're gonna remember this forever
and he said he's like what are you doing i would never do that i was like the kids won't remember
what a great friend no he's honest this is a terrible terrible situation i mean if my wife
doesn't listen to mismatch she's never gonna listen to this this is disgusting what i've done
to myself no that's i i don't understand how this was ever agreed to i pay money for this
we went to like the bahamas to like a resort with a casino in a water park two years ago
buddy and now we're like i'm driving around in the
desert running out of gas in an rv here's the problem you can't you can't you gotta find like a
you gotta find a therapist like that that ain't got kids because you can't be talking to me in
house about this stuff because we got kids and it's like no that ain't it
and the worst part i talked to house today he was like no he's like don't do it no bro you have no
idea i'm so pot committed right now and it's happening and the worst part and you know this
feeling too the worst part is being
dad that's pissed off.
Everybody else is fine, but Dad's pissed off.
Everyone's happy.
Everybody's happy, but Dad's pissed off.
I've been there.
It's terrible.
I'm just going to fake it.
