The transcript blends two distinct topics: a promotional message for DeWalt tools emphasizing reliability under pressure, and a detailed fantasy football draft discussion. DeWalt’s core message centers on building tools that perform under real-world stress, with the "DeWalt badge" representing proven durability and performance. In the fantasy football segment, the draft unfolds with real-time adjustments due to player news—particularly Josh Jacobs being placed on the commissioner’s exempt list, which adds uncertainty to his availability and performance. Analysts revise their rankings and draft strategy accordingly, moving players like March on Lloyd and Pukinuku into stronger positions based on injury risks and team needs. The draft highlights the importance of adaptability, as fluid player situations force teams to pivot mid-draft. Wide receivers and running backs are heavily scrutinized, with players like Caleb Johnson, March on Lloyd, and AJ Brown under active evaluation. The discussion also notes that judging player value requires more than rankings—context, injury history, and team dynamics matter. Ultimately, the fantasy draft reflects a balance between risk and reward, with participants acknowledging that decisions are often made on incomplete information. The segment concludes with a focus on value, depth, and flexibility, proving that success in fantasy football relies as much on in-the-moment decision-making as on pre-draft analysis.
Hey, let's chat about choosing the best tool for the job.
When the pressure's on, you find out what's really built for the moment.
That's true late in the fourth quarter of a big game,
and it's true when there's work to get done on a deadline.
On the job site, conditions change.
The clock keeps moving, and the tools you reach for
have to be ready to handle it again and again.
That's why DeWalt tests its tools under real-world conditions
that push even the best tools to their limit.
Only then does a tool earn the DeWalt badge.
So when the pressure is high and the work needs to get done,
DeWalt tools are built to perform, built to last, and built to finish strong.
DeWalt, guaranteed tough, available at the Home Depot.
How doers get more done?

What's up, friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focus football alongside Feel Jates.
And my clay, my name is Daniel Topp.
It is a mock draft Monday, except it's not going to be a mock today, my friends.
It is a real draft Monday.
Fantasy Focus Show League draft happening today on the show.
Are you guys ready?
Dude, so ready.
Pumped up for it.
Twelve teams.
Yes, it's got a lot of the people that you have seen in this show league before.
We are very excited for how this one is going to play out.
We're going to get into that in just a few moments.
As a matter of fact, we are going to probably start making picks.
Before we start talking about the mock draft.
Only because we had significant agency related news.
Sorry, real draft, not mock draft.
That we'll discuss in just a moment here.
But Mike, you are the busiest man in the world.
Yeah, I was going to say, I see what you did here.
Okay, so, depending champion.
Yes.
Pat myself in the back a little bit.
None of us wanted to say it.
And the draft is.
I forgot.
I forgot.
I don't care.
I don't care.
And you guys chose to do this draft the day after cut day.
Yes.
So I was awake at 2 a.m. last night working through all the.
For you guys, make sure your draft room is nice and pretty for you.
Yeah, I want to.
I want you guys to, you know, not be shorthanded because you need the players in order.
Definitely.
You don't know the guys.
Right.
So I did all that work and then you put me in the 12 hole by the way.
That's right.
Well, you've.
So you're trying to get me all the disadvantages.
But I'm not.
I'm not here to play.
We're all black today.
I'm coming in.
Not around.
I know.
I know, you know, I'm short on, short on sleep and all that.
But I'm not, I'm not messing around today.
You got a big day ahead of you because all the players are now eligible to be claimed.
Oh, yeah.
We're not done yet.
I'm calling it right now.
Dean Conner's most claimed player.
I love that.
That's my prediction or several hours away from figuring it out.
But let's dive into the news.
Because we will.
One quick.
Before we get to the news.
Okay.
Really quickly.
We're going to be doing a bunch of punishment.
What's the word that I'm looking for here?
A bunch of punishment polls in our chat on YouTube this week.
So as a part of that, we have three punishments.
We're going to throw up as a poll in our chat today.
While we do the draft, please vote on them.
We will find out which one is going to be one of the punishments that goes on to our punishment wheel.
Right.
The three punishments are wearing fields bucky suit for an entire show.
It's kind of a win.
Sour starts of the week doing extra super sour stuff.
I watched David Presley research how sour these sour things are.
I am not looking forward to that one.
Okay.
Or fantasy slam poetry.
Those are the three that you're going to be voting on today as a part of it.
So make sure you head into our chat, shout out to our buddy, Eric Moody.
At Eric and Moody on social media.
Let's dive into that news that we were talking about here.
Unfortunately, guys, things got a little bit clearer with the Josh Jacobs situation.
And also quite a bit more muddy at the same time.
Because we know that Josh Jacobs will be going on to the commissioners exempt list.
Yeah, he will be and this is not a total surprise given the allegations and the charges from this
off season.
It all stems from an incident that took place in May allegedly with a woman.
And he has now placed on the commissioners exempt list.
So here's what we know.
The commissioners exempt list prevents a player from practicing with the team or playing games with a team.
We also know that the commissioners exempt list does not include a specific amount of time on the list.
Josh Jacobs in theory could be removed from the commissioners exempt list today.
It is obviously not going to be today.
It is generally reserved for legal situations that are not only serious enough in nature,
but there seems to be enough clarity that this might be a real legal matter.
And this player is going to likely be subject to discipline both in the court of law and from the NFL.
There have been recent examples of players that have been placed on the commissioners exempt list.
By the way, other players around the NFL, Jonathan Cooper from the Broncos also placed on the exempt list
yesterday.
At least five games have been missed.
So generally speaking and based off what we know right now.
I am anticipating at least a handful of games missed for Josh Jacobs.
He is due in court November 17th as part of this legal matter.
The NFL does not need to have a completed legal process to remove a player from the commissioners exempt list.
It simply must conclude its own investigation into the matter.
So November 17th is important, but it is not.
Hey, he's not going back to court until November 17th.
He's probably going to be out until December.
So now, sorry, no, so with how fluid this is then with what you're saying,
feel like we don't have a definitive timeline.
We're still drafting.
Mike, have you changed projections given the fact that we don't really know?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, definitely big adjustments last evening or when this news broke.
I'm still trying to get more details obviously as we are to figure out where exactly.
We want to project these guys where we want to rank them.
I think the range of outcomes for for Jacobs at this point is anything from somewhere in the four to six game range.
He misses to being just cut by green Bay.
Like we just don't know right now.
So we have to hedge a little bit on that.
He's buried in my rankings way down in the mid 20s for now.
I probably will go a little bit lower than that one when the dust truly settles here.
As for March on Lloyd, I will say this.
His ADP is really spiking now.
We'll see where he goes in her draft here shortly.
There is a lot of excitement around him.
I will say this.
Just remember, this is a former day three pick several years ago has played in one NFL game due to injury.
We don't know how good he is and we don't know if he's going to stay healthy.
They did trade for Caleb Johnson yesterday.
They have Chris Brooks who's a passing down specialist.
That's their core.
Now you and I were talking before the show had they made a bolder move for running back.
We might feel a little bit differently about this situation.
I don't know if they expect Jacobs back at some point.
So they feel like just bringing Caleb kind of can hold down the four.
Or it means that they believe in March on Lloyd and think he could be their future lead back.
So again, there's a lot of things we're trying to balance right now.
At this point, it's a little bit of a lottery.
And hey, this is a fantasy football draft.
And you have to kind of shoot your shot when you're when you're ready.
Here's how I treated it on my end.
And obviously talking about fantasy football in this context of stuff.
We're going to get to the draft in the matter of moments.
Yep.
I moved Josh Jacobs all the way down to running back 25.
All right.
And I got him behind the players that I think have sort of league winning potential
if everything breaks right.
That's right.
I can't get a move.
Even Bucky Irving with some recent positive momentum.
Yeah.
And ahead of guys.
I said, you know what?
I just don't really know that I see it.
Sorry.
Dave and Montgomery.
The same ramp all that, right?
Like Dave and Montgomery for me probably can have a solid year.
I don't think his spectacular year.
For March on Lloyd.
I moved him all the way up ahead of running backs that we are excited about.
If things work out in their favor as an injury takes place ahead of them.
Kyle Mennungai, Blake Korum, like those guys are now behind March on Lloyd for me because
there's a very, very real chance that for at least a handful of games, March on Lloyd
is the Packers lead back.
He will be the highest ranked Packers back going into week one when they play Minnesota.
Yeah.
Sometimes it's as simple as usable games, right?
So you think about a guy like a Korum or even like a JK Dobbins or Mennungai.
Like they might be even one A's or starters and be like, I don't really want to put him in my
flex, they're not that exciting where's March on Lloyd.
I was looking at the projections for the first few weeks.
Again, with Chris Brooks and Caleb Johnson as his competition, probably going to rank around
20 in that range.
And that range.
So that's a usable week.
And we might get four or five usable weeks.
Maybe a little bit more than that.
Maybe a little bit less.
But that's more than we could say about a lot of these running backs that are in that flex range.
We will see whether Josh Jacobs gets drafted.
A handful of rounds lower than usual.
Let's see if it's more than that because we can begin the draft.
Yeah.
Quick note, I updated. So I changed our draft room.
We just got this way that I can kind of pull our staff rankings and then built it in a way
where our draft room reflects our staff rankings, which we haven't done in a long time.
Lloyd is ahead of Jacobs.
If you use our staff rankings.
So if you notice in the draft room, right is ahead.
One thing to mention is a part of that with our ESPN game.
Josh Jacobs is not IR eligible.
If you draft him right now, a lot of times players that are put on the out list,
they are considered IR eligible.
Josh Jacobs is not given the fact that he's on the commissioner's exemplet.
So when you're drafting, if you want to grab Josh Jacobs thinking,
"Oh, just throw him on IR because you might get the O designation."
That's how it's going to work.
This is an odd one.
Usually it's a suspension.
This is a, usually the players are suspended.
This is a kind of a unique situation.
Commissioner's exemplet.
Let's let it rip.
Picking things off.
Trophy smack.
Trophy smack with the first pick here.
Like we said, we've got 12 different players in this league.
Trophy smack.
Our producer, Zach, me, Eric Moody.
Phil Jates, Liz Losa, producer Dave, Tyler Fuljum, producer Q, producer Christina,
and producer Ryan with Mike Clay.
Bringing up the caboose at the 12 spot there.
Those are the 12 teams for the league.
Trophy smack.
You can let it rip, baby.
Anytime you want.
We're a, hey, we did sort of go for a few minutes there on Joe.
Yeah, we did.
It's not the fault.
It's not aware of the fact that we are getting role in here.
But Trophy smack may auto draft into junior games.
Trophy smack.
First of all, great company.
We've been very supportive of the cause here at Fancy Focus.
They have awesome gear.
Go check it out.
Trophy smack.com.
On top of that, he always builds a good team.
Yeah.
Like a frustratingly good team.
Because then he talks smack.
And it's like, I'm going to take this belt that I own until you buy it from me.
There you go.
And rub it in your face.
Yeah.
What's wrong, Mike?
- Oh no. - Perfect timing.
- Great timing.
- Wow, it's all locked up.
- You're a computer to not work.
- Are you joking right now?
- Trophy smacked, that's all right.
Trophy smacked right now.
- I think your gifts.
There your gifts comes off the board.
I think these first two picks are the same
every single draft that I have ever done.
Not in the order, but it's always Jemeer and Bajan.
I haven't seen anyone other than Jemeer or Bajan Goh.
- Norvai and Mike has a grand opportunity coming up
in five picks as Mike's arch nemesis.
Tyler Fuljum is currently on autograph.
- Oh, which, there ain't nothing we're gonna do about that.
- All right, like, we have had many messages telling us
when this draft is taking place.
It's not a mystery.
Tyler's a busy man.
He's got a young son, hosting sports center,
doing, you know, flying on jets by himself
basically during the fantasy marathon.
- This could be my fault.
I didn't see, say to leave him in space.
So maybe that's how it's gonna last through,
'cause it'll be up there.
- I haven't seen Tyler since that marathon.
- I did something that I haven't done so far this year
and it's a real draft, okay?
I moved Pukinuku up in my rankings
and took him now ahead of Jamar Chase.
I have been worried this entire off season
that I've been waiting for that shoot a drop
on Pukin, potentially having some sort of discipline happen.
Hasn't happened yet.
- It's August 31st.
I mean, we're right there on the doorstep of the season.
I feel like at this point, if we're waiting for Pukinuku
to have discipline happen and it hasn't yet,
there's a shot that maybe it doesn't.
I'm starting to move Pukinuku back up my rankings
a little bit because of the reason why I had him down.
It doesn't feel as serious as it did a few weeks ago.
- I would agree, I think you're right.
And by the way, we just, no major surprises
in the first four picks, it was Jimi or Gibbs Beach on Robbins
and Pukinuku and Jamar Chase.
I don't think we're out of the woods with Pukin yet
'cause the NFL will always reserve the right
that if they get more information
or they conclude the rest of investigation,
they can suspend a player at any time.
I had mentioned last week that the NFL often tries
to conclude its player suspensions
prior to the roster cut downs.
That was yesterday, nothing on Puka.
So not out of the woods, we are trending closer to,
I believe, either no suspension or a short suspension.
And we have talked about how if it's a one game suspension
for Pukinuku, you could move them down from third overall
to fifth overall, but he's not going from third overall
to 23rd overall. - Correct, correct.
- Fifth pick for me was, I had the fifth pick.
I've been drafted in Christian McCaffrey a lot to this year.
And I gotta be honest with you guys.
You guys can tell me this is bad analysis, bad ways to do things.
I have, like, I haven't done that many drafts yet.
I have many of them over the next 10 days, right?
- Yep.
- I have a lot of Christian McCaffrey exposure.
- That I pivoted to Jonathan Taylor.
- Diversification of the portfolio.
- That may be bad strategy.
I would say probably just in our seat, in our job,
it's kind of reassuring to have shares
of all the notable players.
Mike is such a, can be so emotionless in a good way
that it may not matter as much to you,
but I know that sometimes when I'm doing my analysis,
it's easier for me to be like, someone's yelling at me
about how bad Ash and Jent he's been this year.
I'm right there with you.
I feel like I took him in the first round as well.
So I don't, my overall rankings remain.
Christian McCaffrey ahead of Jonathan Taylor.
I took JT only because I've got a lot of CMC.
- First of all, poor Tyler, time's out and gets CMC.
- Oh, man.
- Must be nice.
That's not fair.
He should get like, we go down all or something.
That's not cool at all.
Second, you know, we talk about this too.
Like, it's not as simple as the guys are in exact order.
Like, there's a range of outcomes.
You know, and there's tears and that's why we build tears.
So, I mean, Jonathan Taylor was, let the NFL carries last year.
One of the best players in the NFL, his numbers would have been even better had Daniel
Jones not got hurt.
He very well could lead the position to fantasy points.
I mean, it's not like you're like, I'm not going to take CMC.
I'll settle for a record out all right.
You're taking another lead option right now at the clock.
And to the first.
Here's what we've had so far.
Since field took Jonathan Taylor, Mike's on the clock here.
We had, I'm on Rossane Brown, Jackson Smith and Jigba, CMC, Justin Jefferson, Devine
Chan, and then James Cook come off the board.
Only question for you guys.
Am I going to make his two picks right now?
On a scale of like one being not crazy at all and 10 being like, that's the craziest
thing I've ever seen.
Thoughts on Amunra ahead of JSN.
Amunra.
No, it's not.
It's totally fine.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
So there were one spot apart.
You're building a tear.
You were putting Amunra and JSN in the same tier because Liz did do that.
As Mike has drafted, Rico dattle 12th over smart.
I like that.
Yeah, this is a tough spot to pick, I like that Rico dattle and CD lamb.
That's who you went with, Mike.
That's a good start.
I won't miss CD lamb.
Good start for you.
You know, I, I hate picking at this spot because I'm, I'm starting to run here.
You know, I'm just starting to run.
Uh, I'm going to, I'm going to take my chance.
I'm going to take it.
Yeah.
Brock Bowers.
Do the quarterback.
I wait.
That's a tight end.
That's a tight end.
Yeah.
But also that will be.
Hey, Josh Allen, Mike.
Nope.
This is a money where, where my mouth milking right here in a million.
No, I love.
Wow.
I love it at the beginning of the free season.
Other than CMC, he's probably my highest roster player so far.
And there's a very specific reason for that, which is, I have not picked higher than,
I think, fourth, so far, maybe fifth.
Yeah.
And he just, he sort of falls into that ring right in that, right?
So if you're picking at 15, he does not fall into the range, right?
Just picked at 13.
But the problem is this, I don't pick for a long time, which means he's going in the
third round.
I'm not going to get him.
I've been ranked ahead of all these other running backs.
And the run is starting, obviously, clearly you can see it here.
We've had five consecutive running backs now.
I knew that was going to happen, but my thought was all of these guys are going to be gone
by the time I come, come back.
If I want love over this group, I have to take him here.
It's a bold move, but I believe he's going to pay off.
It's slow start, maybe, but I believe he's going to pay this off.
I agreed there.
Good luck for you.
Good luck for you on that.
All right.
You want to keep running us through some picks here, Daniel?
Yeah.
Jim, I love comes off the board with the first pick of the second round.
And Chase Brown, then Omari and Hampton, then Saekwan Barkley, then Derek Henry, then
Kyron Williams, and then Ken Walker, the third, the running back run is on my friends.
Kyron Williams.
That's earlier than he's been going for sure.

It's SoFi.com/teamsport.
All right.
I'm on the clock here.
I took Jonathan Taylor with my first pick.
It's 12 teams.
The running back run has begun, and I'll take an action Gentie.
I think this is about what we deserve, is that Gentie now goes.
That was picked 20 for me.
The early reporting suggests that if action Gentie does miss time, it might be like a gamer
too.
Right?
And I talked about him as a bonus potential bust in the last show that we did, right?
The idea being, the schedule is the most difficult in terms of Mike's projections right
now.
But still too darn good.
I actually was choosing between, well, I'm not going to tell you.
Yeah, don't tell us.
Because I pick at 29 and the player that I was also considering might get back to me.
The only part of my draft that I don't, I mean, I guess obviously if Gentie misses early
time, that would be not as fun.
But I think I can withstand a game absence for him, is I just drafted two running backs
with a week 13.
Ooh.
That's all right.
That's okay.
By the time you get 13, you're going to be 12 and one.
You won't even need to win 11 and one.
You don't need to win week 13.
Nailed it.
Yeah.
I'm not worried about that too.
Especially that laying the ear.
One may be out with an injury anyway or there's so many things that change someone on your
bench can pan out.
It's just, it's just so not worth worrying about heavy right now on the running back.
Check this out.
All right.
So Mike to Jeremiah Love with the first pick of the second round.
Chase Brown, Marin Hampton, Saic Wan Barkley, Derek Kenry, Kyron Williams, Kenneth Walker
the third, Ash and Gentie Javante Williams, the first nine picks of the second round.
Yeah.
What have we been saying?
Yeah.
Running back.
Yeah.
And they're about gone.
So I got to a spot here.
I ended up breaking that mold.
I went with AJ Brown because I, I didn't want to just reach for a running back that I felt
like I could maybe get here with this pick.
And also, it's going to say, well, did you get the running back that you wanted?
I will.
We'll find out.
It's Axe about to take somebody here and then we'll see if I'm able to get a guy that
I like.
I ended up going with AJ Brown, then Brock Bowers, then Drake London.
Yeah.
We got Trophy Smack on auto as well here.
So he quickly picked Drake London and Trey McBride.
He players obviously, but I'm going to go with a running back here.
This is the area that's the best area to draft right now.
You're landing one of the top tight.
You're going to get a great player at the beginning.
You're going to probably get one of, I have a shot at Bowers and McBride.
Malik neighbors has fallen in this range, like generally, usually Jeremiah loves in this
range as well.
It's such a good spot.
I don't, I, I've found that I don't love picking toward the end of the draft, like the,
the end of the draft, where I like being a little earlier, literally, I mean, just
the board falls a little bit better.
I feel like the, where the tears drop off late in the first.
And then. By the time it comes all the way back at the end of the third round, it's not as good.
Yeah, I agree on that.
I agree with you.
I ended up taking Travis H and Junior there at the top of the third as my RB1, just because
of how big the running back run went.
I went with two wide receivers first, Pukka Nukua and AJ Brown.
I went with the field strategy, because both my wide receivers have a buy in week 11.
It's okay.
It's all right.
I don't need 10 or no.
That's right.
I will keep it.
We've already had enough buy talk for the next week.
So that's enough of that.
All right.
Boom for it here.
So I took George Pickens.
I think that what that second round taught us, this is important, I believe, is, again,
we are always, we are trying our best to give you as much information that applies to
all leagues that we can, right?
I think the reality we reminded of is that so much of draft strategy is not what you plan
to do before the draft begins, rather what you do once the draft has started, because
I wouldn't have guessed, and I'm not saying these are terrible picks by any stretch.
I wouldn't have guessed that Cairn Williams is going 18th overall.
Agreed.
Wouldn't have guessed that Javante Williams is going 21st overall, right?
I would have guessed those guys are going to go maybe about around later, but because
those guys have gone early, it's created two dynamics, one, where players like Chris
Olave are falling to the middle portion of the third round, which is a good pick there.
Rashi Rice goes late in the third round, she's getting good value on wide receivers.
You're also feeling the need, but the other, but the tug is, hey, if I didn't go with
her running back early, if I don't draft Quinn, Sean Judkins or Breeze Hall right now,
I'm going to be starting, I don't even know who I might be starting Tony Pollard.
It's not going to feel great.
My second running back.
That's going to be tough right there.
That's not great.
All right, we're moving along here already on to the four, sorry, last pick of the third
mic, you're up.
All right, last pick of the, I'm going to recap all of Mike's looking at this really quickly.
Third, just as a reminder, training bride, Malik neighbors, Malik neighbors hasn't moved
ahead of the third round yet in our fantasy draft.
I understand that though, like just there's legitimate, you'll concern.
Yep.
Still could be a top five wide receiver if things turn out healthy there.
I took Travis H and then Chris Olave, George Pickens came scatibu to Lizlosa, Rashi Rice,
Nico Collins, Lad Maconkey ahead of Garrett Wilson, then Zay Flowers, and Mike, you went
back to back here.
What did you do with your picks at the turn?
So Breeze Hall fell a lot further than I thought he would.
I know he's going in that three, four range, but I didn't think he'd get all the way
to the end of the third round to considering that run on running backs, but there was a wide
receiver run and he made it to me.
So I will gladly take that discount on Hall and then I had a tough call here.
I could have went, I could have went running back receiver or tight end.
There were so many good options, but I really want to get one of the top four tight ends.
I know Tyler Warren's not coming back to me next round.
So I went Colson Loveland, I went a little bit of an edge at tight end and I think I
get that from him.
Like when you say top four, you're talking training bride, Brock Bowers, Colson Loveland
and Terrence Ferguson, right?
Those are the four that you're talking about.
Presumably, first quarterback is off the board, it is Josh Allen every time, a little bit
different than some of the other leagues that were in quarterbacks coming off the board,
a little later than some other leagues.
But we'll see how this one works out.
And then after that, a mecca, a buka goes to Tyler as well.
Tyler Stoneado is, I don't need Tyler getting good picks on auto pay.
I will swear, guys, the guys I was considering there with that second pick were Loveland or
McMillan Smith or a buka and they were three those four guys on that works out, isn't
it?
Uh, after that Deandre Swift went to produce suprasley, Jalen Waddle over to Liz Loza and
Field's here on the clock.
What are you got on your squad right now?
I'm going to play with fire right there, but instead I'm going to do something.
I'm going to follow Mike's lead son of a gun, Tyler Warren because I wasn't confident
that Tyler Warren would get back to me and he wouldn't have, he wouldn't have to know.
So Tyler Warren, after Mike made the move for Colson Loveland again, there's a trickle
down effect, right?
If Mike had bypassed Loveland and he had gone, I'm going to say air quotes closer to expected
range.
Yeah.
So that Tyler Warren goes closer to expected range.
So I think we all sort of feel that whether you like Loveland more than Warren or Warren
more than Loveland, that the fifth tight end, well, you think that's Kyle Pits, Harold
Fanon Jr., maybe you're a big George Kiddell optimist, Harold Fanon optimist, that there
is a gap, right?
Like as you just said, that, that four man tier, that gap that if you, so when Loveland
comes off the board, if you're thinking about tight end, you better get worn in her.
I, I'll be curious to see if the player that I was going to take ends up making back
to me eight selections later because at this point, the running backs and the wide receivers
blur the lines a little bit more, right?
Like the difference.
I'll be at some of the best available wide receivers.
This is at least how they are ranked T Higgins, Devonthay Adams, Tara McClaurin, DJ Moore,
Jameson Williams, Roma Dunesay, not saying that we don't have those guys in a particular
hierarchy, but if I told you at the end of the season that Roma Dunesay, outscored
Terry McClaurin, you would be surprised.
No.
And McClaurin's three wide receiver spots ahead of him, same goes at running back, right?
Basel Tutton just got drafted with Bucky Irving right behind him, David Montgomery,
Judari and Price.
They're all in, they're all in the range, right?
Similar range.
Yep.
So I did not feel like Tyler Warren to, looks like the next highest crack, uh, ranked
item would be Harold Finn, I felt like that was a bigger gap, and also the wide receivers,
so much more interesting than the running backs at this point.
Oh boy.
They are.
They are a point.
I want you to get your running backs early.
There's some viable potential like running back to flexes, but not many guys that you're
like could be an RB one this year like the receivers.
That's not the case.
Like Devonthay Adams was top 10 last year, Roma Dunesay, or excuse me, Jameson Williams finished
12 last year.
Like a lot of these guys have a lot of upside.
Yep.
They do.
And the second quarterback taken, Lamar is off the board about seven picks, uh, make
that.
Yeah.
One, two, three, four, five.
I can't do math fast.
Nine picks between Lamar and Josh Allen, third bird, and Zarya to bring us up, but Lamar
Jackson was auto drafted.
So perhaps in a different simulation without trophy smack on auto, he wouldn't have gone
that high, but comes off the board at the first pick of the fifth round.
I've got Travis H on the H and Basel Tutten, Pukin, Akua and AJ Brown, and I'm thinking about
going with the third running back here just because of how weak my running back situation
is.
Did I see you cringe when Judkins went, by the way, because you don't like him.
I don't.
I don't.
But all the people that was left, that was the guy I was going to target because I was,
you know, this isn't the way I normally draft normally.
I mean, I don't like picking at the very beginning of a draft to be honest.
So maybe we should have traded like, yeah, I would have been like, well, I just, so you
almost a quench on Judkins.
I did.
I might have Mike, do you ever go against your own analysis with drafts?
Like, do you ever hedge against yourself?
Uh, Tyler's here.
Wow.
Thanks.
I'll give you an example.
I will give you an example.
Okay.
So, okay.
Can I give you an example?
Go for it.
Of course.
This is your question.
I think I do sometimes differ from my rankings because my rankings are sort of in a vacuum
and my team isn't built that way.
Sometimes when I draft a team, it's like, ooh, based on how I've constructed this team.
Oh, I know.
This guy is wide receiver, whatever, but I need to go with this safer play or I need
more upside.
So like, I will ignore my rankings based on how the fluidity of the draft plays out.
Like, I've got to kind of change and vibe with the way that the board plays.
So I definitely will draft against my rankings at times.
Okay.
I probably should have said this if we didn't much earlier in the process, but just of
note, three wide receivers in this, in these roster.
Oh, yeah.
All right.
Three wide receivers plus a flex on these rosters.
I just took Bucky Irving.
I know that I now have three runnybacks.
Me too.
I've Ashton Genti uncertain for week one.
And just the fact that we're playing with a 12 team league, it could get dicey.
Last thing is, and surprise you guys haven't brought this up yet.
Yes.
I am playing through.
Maybe the world's worst paper cut.
I saw it.
I saw it.
I didn't see that.
Wow.
You didn't see that.
Yeah.
I mean, again, it's tough.
I know not all heroes wear capes.
Sometimes they wear band-aids though.
How did it happen?
My, I was opening up a box of ego waffles, which what a great, great.
Yes.
Mm hmm.
And I, yes, sliced it right in the box.
That's too bad.
Yeah.
That's too bad.
Feel Jates.
Feel the eights questionable.
Egos.
That's.
I'm going to rip through the fourth round just to catch everybody up on the picks that
have been made.
Colson Loveland came through the first pick.
Then Tederum McMillan, Devonta Smith, Josh Allen, Ameca Ebuca, Deandre Swift, Jalen
Waddle, Tyler Warren, Quincha Judkins, Basel Tutin, Devonta Adams, and T Higgins.
That was the end of the fourth of fifth round so far has been Lamar Jackson.
With their burden, the third, Jardarian price, Terry McCloreen, Bucky Irving to feel Jates.
Liz Lose.
I got her guy in David Montgomery, Tony Pollard to Titans fan at producer Presley, James
and Williams to Tyler, DJ Moore to Q squad.
And now we are on the clock with our Roma Dunes A to our producer, Kristina Mike, you're
only a pickaway.
I hate.
Egos and me drafting when people that you do a show with every day, you're going to get
it. But I know I had a neighborhood league last night and the same thing happened to me.
Really?
I guess one of my good friends in the league, those kids and Cheshire Ruthless, he won the
kids tough.
He won last year.
I won the year before we, he, he beat me to the championship last year and he was picking
like four, we had a couple of keepers too.
I was toward the end of the round and he just kept getting, he chased, fell to him at like
whatever, four or five, came back around and got in neighbors at some point.
He got, I think he got a booka and I'm at the end of the round like tears just kept
drying up right before I would pick. So you're telling me it's furious, right? The third
greater that you were that one last year, Tommy, that's the guy who won the league that
you're so frustrated with.
I'm on the top real estate that you play in in your hometown.
Yeah, it's tough.
You and Tommy just go ahead and head back.
No, I'm mad.
I don't want anybody here.
Can I pass?
Is that okay?
Well, Mike's looking at this.
We got a lot of comments about how much Mike and I don't like each other.
I want to say it one more time.
Mike and I actually really are friends.
I feel like people think we don't like each other this year.
I shouldn't have said we actually are friends.
We really are friends in real life.
We've been, we've been going at it a little bit. He's so locked in right now.
I think that it's, I think I'm just, when we argue, I'm nicer to you than you are to
me.
Because people aren't like you're mean to Daniel, but I'm like, guess I am.
I mean, I have definitely because my friends I mean to you like that's the way that we're
just talking about man we're arguing that's the way it works all right, but yeah, we got
a lot of a lot of people enjoy our Nico Collins to be in that people are on both sides a lot
of sides. It's really interesting. Yeah, great. I'm with you on that one. All right, closing
out the fifth round here. We had some good value here. DJ Moore was the ninth pick of the
fifth round. Then Roma Dunes a Travian Henderson comes off the board. Mike goes with fields guy,
Arnell Tate. I like that. And then Marvin and Julian. Yeah, here's an example of what I probably
to answer your question. Yeah, just ask me before, which is like in a situation like that
where I feel like you know what the all the top tears just dried up on me and I'm looking
at my board and thinking, I don't want to just take a safe guy here like a floor play.
The guy that's sort of at his ceiling is this guy like a Portland Sutton Michael Pittman
like these kind of guys can yeah, can kind of just a hold down the forfe and they're going
to be solid starters this year. But I feel like I need a little more juice. I need guys
that can exceed the ceiling at this spot, especially because no one just stands out. If
Roma Dunes, he was there easy. I would have hit that button immediately. So I'm going
to aim for a little higher with carnal T Marvin Harrison guys that can exceed where I have
them ranked. So yeah, I'm always maneuvering my game plan within tears for the most part
depending on what's happening in the draft there. I like that. I like that. All right,
moving along here. What do we got six round Marvin Harrison Jr. Then Michael Pittman Jr.
Mike May comes off the board's Christina Rico Doudel, then Kyle Pitz, then George Kittle
to produce a Presley. Yes, indeed. George Kittle. I thought it'd be interesting. Adam
Shepter with a pouring over the weekend. And I feel bad for Shepty in this regard. There's
so many fake accounts now on the internet. Yeah. That I think one of the imposter accounts
or one of the aggregator accounts had a tweet that was like something to the effect of like
there's concern that George Kittle suffered to set back according to Adam Shepter. And
the thing is that like no one bothers to check if Adam Shepter ever said that. Shepty
does TV. He does a podcast. He goes on radio stations. Yeah. He could have there are any
number of places where Adam Shepter could have talked and someone could have taken that
quote. But doesn't mean that's a real quote. Right. And so yesterday he had a tweet that
I think may have been in response to some of the the fake reporting that like nothing has
happened to George Kittle and he remain he has a real chance of playing next Friday by
the way in Australia. Unreal. I was going to take him here with the 70th overall pick.
In spite of the fact that he is right now still has ADP is in the high 80s low 90s. It
has been creeping up as it seems like we've been getting better and better information
on him. And I was going to draft him ahead of Harold Fanon because I like the idea of
George Kittle more than Harold Fanon in that Brown's offense right now. I have moved
George Kittle up to my tight end five this season thing that means absolutely nothing but
just sort of caught my interest. Did you guys see when the Rams are showing up to their
Australia before the game 24 hours before the game starts and the game is at 10 a.m.
locally. So they are basically hanging on until the bitter end in Los Angeles. Maybe it's
the good weather. Good food. Good weather in the good food. I think maybe is what it is. Exactly. Our producer one of our producers Zach takes
March on Lloyd second pick of the seventh round. Josh Jacobs remains on the board as Mike
mentioned. He is lower than March on Lloyd when you go into the tool right now. I don't
think anybody and I think Mike sets up in that I think is worth noting is he said, you
know, the Packers didn't give us any indication that like you know they expect this to be like
we don't exactly know what the Packers are expecting. I think the Packers don't look
there expecting. It's a legal matter. It's great of their hands. Yeah. I mean, you know,
Johnson doesn't it's not going out and saying, Hey, we need a guy that's going to hold down
the four to all season. I mean, he couldn't get on the field for the Steelers. Right.
But he had a weak one healthy scratch, by the way, but kill or take a turn. It's been
through the depends who they maybe someone from the practice squad or something, but because
usually you're going to have three active tail backs on game day. It's pretty rare to
have less than that. But yeah, it's it's hard to tell. It's either we believe in March
on Lloyd or we don't think this is going to be a long term and we just don't know that
answer right now. You know, seven round so far we had Ramond Rice Stevens and come off
the board. Then Marshawn Lloyd. I went with Mondale Robinson. I wanted one day right
there. You journal. Sorry about that. Kenny Gainwell went to team moody field. Do you know
going with the quarterback though? I did Joe burrow and it's not that Joe burrow. This
is not like dramatically later than Joe burrow is going. But you guys know that in these
leagues, we do tend to see a lot of patients at quarterback. We do another guy. I'm sort
of under exposed to so far this year. Joe burrow, you know, amongst probably the eight
of C's best bet to lead the NFL and passing arts and bashing their shells this season.
So Joe burrow. Welcome to the squad. Welcome to the swag on the Josh Jacobs. There
we go. Josh Jacobs finally comes off the board to cue. It is worth noting. Q is a Packers
fan. Yeah. So that is a part of the maybe calculus there. Yeah. Ninth pick of the seventh
round in our 12 teamer finally comes off the board. It's tough to even be able to say
if I think that was good value because I just don't know enough about the situation.
It's kind of a wait and see kind of a thing. And frankly, it feels a little bit unsavory
when it doesn't. Yeah, that could be a great value if he only misses two games because of
the thing. Man, again, you know, obviously, doesn't feel great. Unique circumstances to
say the least. I thought about Sutton last rant. So what was that? Yeah, the bus. Twenty
picks, you know, or whatever. Almost. And he just went two spots before I picked.
We actually see that this has been my draft today, which means this will be my best
team because that's right. Yeah, that's right. Terrible. So which means it's going to turn
out great. Ryan goes with Michael Wilson. If we have your team, Mike, maybe we throw it
up here on the screen. We look at what you could possibly need here. Where are we at right
now? In the eighth seventh round going into the evening. Him boilers your quarter back.
That was an interesting choice. Yikes. Oh, he actually doesn't have a quarterback. Okay.
I kind of like this squad. You know, my love, Breeze Hall, CD Lam, Carnell Tate, Marvin
Harrison, Jr. Colston, Loveland. That's not a bad squad. You don't like it? As you know, managing maintenance, repair, and operations is never easy. But

It's fine. It's fine. All right, I'm going to get some running back down here.
He doesn't want to. He doesn't want to. I'm on the clock. I'm going to take Jalen Warren. I need
a third running back. He stands out as a value at this point. And then I'm going to go back to the
wide receiver. Still so strong right now. I'm going to go back to the wide receiver well here.
And I have a few options. Yeah, you do. Take your guy. I think so. I think I'm going to do it.
I'm going to take a chance at an Alec Pierce. You knew it. I got paid.
And we're shooting for the first pick of the eighth round. So that would be what?
Seven times 12 is 84. The 85th pick overall is Alec Pierce to Mike. It's about where I expected
him to go. Yeah. All right. There's my lineup on the on the screen here. My question,
my mean concern right now is love and haul are technically both questionable for week one.
So I do have Jalen Warren that can hold down one of those spots. And I'll go shopping later for
some depth. I would imagine both. They're going to play though. At least one of them should be good.
So I think I'll be fine. Lam Tate Harris and Pierce. I feel like I drafted none of them.
Frankly, at their ceiling, you know, I've been drafted lamb a lot. I think he's a pretty good
value at the end of the first round. There's been some chatter lately. I've just about how good
Pickens is. But man, just don't forget about how good a healthy CD lamb is. That guy is an
absolute difference maker superstar. I don't believe he's better or I don't believe he's
worse than George Pickens by any means. So definitely, I definitely took some risk here. This
thing could go down quickly if guys like Tate and Harrison and Pierce, frankly, don't work out
or love start slow. But you know, there's a lot of upside here, which is the key. So CD lamb,
the only pick Mike doesn't regret field with your team. I'm kidding, Michael. You are waiting
at the quarterback spot, which we have seen you do. By the way, just in case you're wondering
what quarterbacks are still available on the board. Jalen Hertz, Jackson Dart, Justin Herbert,
Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Brock Purdy, tons of names. That's why I didn't bother you.
As much as I like some of these guys, I just can wait. I, you know, again, I did the same thing
in my draft yesterday. I just wait and wait and wait that there's my next year of quarterbacks,
you know, after Hertz goes massive. Like I just, there's no reason to force it. I mean,
everyone that doesn't have a quarterback should start taking quarterbacks. That's right. Yes,
you're right. That's right. That's right. Taking Justin, so important. They're trying
up guys again. I like this. I'm pick away here with Loza on the clock. Justin Herbert,
our one of the producers takes him. Good pick right there. I am on the clock here in the eighth round.
And I'll just say I'm choosing between several wide receivers because right now I only have two
on my roster with an early
tight ends and three running backs taken. So we didn't get Herbert. I'm going to start
throwing darts here. I took Joe Barrow already. Oh, you're right. I'm going to start throwing
darts here and I'm going to begin with Chris Goblin, Eric Moody's guy, right? Eric Moody
likes Chris Goblin. Yes. I, uh, I thought about struggling at the turn there. And Liz Lose
was just in him. Mozo is there. Yeah, smart. I like that. It's another one with a guy
that can easily outperform this ADP as I ceiling. Liz Lose, I'm sorry, uh, Dejon Striblin is
one of those guys that if you try to wait and get him, whereas ADP number says there's
a high likelihood he won't make it to you. Yeah, not anymore. This is about where there's
enough buzz on him. He also feels like one of those guys, at least in my opinion, like
where he's going is the median of his outcomes. It's not like reflective of way. He's not going
to, I don't think he's going to be like wide receiver 33. It either feels like he'll be
a top 20 wide receiver as the Niners go to guy or this would be another like sort of like,
um, I don't know, just overdoing it in the preseason, sort of like Trevion Henderson last
year where he has some moments, but it's Mike Evans and it's Debo Samuel and George Kittle
and it's Christian McCaffrey. If Christian Kirk comes back from this calf injury that landed
him on short term, I are, it'll be those guys that kind of actually are the complexion
of this offense weekend and week out. Yep. Let's look at week around eight. Excuse me.
A quick recap here. Mike had Alec Pierce, like we talked about off the top. Dak Prescott
came off the board. Next, then Matthew Golden and Tucker Kraft back to back a couple of
packers. Josh Downs to Tyler, Justin Herbert to producer Christina. We talked about Dejon
Stribling, Chris Godwin, Jacobi Myers, and then I took Sam LaPorta. Caleb Williams comes
off the board to producer Zach's team and then Chuba Hubbard and Jalen Hertz back to
back. So a couple of quarterbacks are coming off the board. Mike, are you starting to shake
in your boots a little bit? No, not at all. Still a bazillion. Still a bazillion.
All right. I also am. I'm going to be very popular in Pennsylvania, which is where
Penn State is because I have three nitty-nitty lions on my roster as our guy, the great Kyle
Soppie, just laid to me, Parker Washington, Chris Godwin, and Tyler Warren, hashtag. We
are. We are my new name for this team. Love that. All right. I got a, I'm, can I walk
you guys through what I'm trying to do here? Yeah, of course. Yeah. I got three running
backs. Travis H and Basel Tutton and Jadarion Price. Obviously, it's a little bit of a
weak spot on my squad. I love my wide receivers in Pukinakua, AJ Brown, Wandel Robinson.
Sam Laporte is a serviceable tight end. I do have to worry a little bit. Probably have
to grab a second one because of the injury issues that he's been dealing with. On the
board right now, though, I don't love any of the running backs that I'm looking at.
I don't love any of the wide receivers. And I think I'm just going to have to take a
shot on a guy that I think is going to play a lot. And that's Jordan Addison, hoping that
this Vikings offense starts to do a little bit more. I just need depth at the wide receiver
spot. And all of these guys I'm looking at, they're all just kind of feel like dart throws.
Travis Hunter, which I'm not drafting this year. We even bother with that one. No, I'm
not sure why he is being drafted as highly as he is right now. I think there's a little
bit of, you know, it's they took him too overall. Like he's super talented. He is. If they
ever turn him into a full-time wide receiver, it's just looking at the circumstances right
now. Let's Brian Thomas Jr. got traded. Do we really think that's going to happen?
I don't. Yeah. I don't. Points. Yeah. Plus there's, I know it's not a huge chunk of
leagues, but also IDP leagues. He's in elite defensive back option because he's going to play
on offense and probably I think it's going to be like 70, 30 defense offense, maybe a
little higher in defense. But the reports lately are that the last couple of weeks has been
pretty much exclusively on defense. But they're going to find ways to get him some plays
on offense. And that's going to add, you know, that's going to add up. So that's really
makes him more valuable overall in fantasy amongst the things. So yesterday during roster
cut down, I feel like I should have said this when we were talking about Christian Kirk.
The NFL has amended its rules previously. So now you can put a player at the roster
cut down right on to injured reserve designated to return. Reminder, you're going to have
to miss four games, but amongst the guys that are either on the fantasy radar or somewhat
on the fantasy radar, Christian Kirk, Tank Dell, anybody else that I'm missing that's
like particularly fantasy relevant that is automatically out for four weeks. Not that
stands out. Okay. So those are two guys that come to mind. Not that not that other one
of them is being drafted super high, but just names to know that even if they aren't fantasy
relevant, their absence might create a little bit more fantasy relevance for somebody
else. My this doesn't have anything to do with fantasy, but my guy Kirby Joseph going
to be on that list for a brand four weeks and Brian branch and by the way, we don't have
Terry Arnold who is no longer a part of that team. I just want to say that the teams playing
the Detroit Lions, the beginning of the season, with all of those guys out for four weeks,
you could have some aging, passing games against the Lions at the start of the season. Just
saying that right now. All right. Mike, you're on the clock right here in the ninth round.
Quick recap of what we had in the ninth. Jalen Hertz, JK Dobbins, Jordan Addison, Jackson
Dart, RJ Harvey, Trevor Lawrence, Blake Korum, Quentin Johnston, Mackay Lemon, Jake
Ferguson, and Rashad White, Mike has 30 seconds on the clock. No, he went with Brock
party. Pretty good pick right there, Mike. Not bad. Hey, you're gonna go with the second
wheel. He does. He doubles up with two cornerbacks. Wow. You are nothing if not predictable.
Am I? No, that's not. I did not. I was actually, I didn't think he was going to do it.
My draft board article, I had Dart and then either Nick's or Purdy. So you just did. I
did Nick's and I didn't get Dart. So I took Nick's and Purdy. I like that. There's
two. So moving along right now. Well done. Probably helps to have an auto drafter in there,
but moving along right now. I want to hear about the strategy of drafting two quarterbacks
back to back. Mike, because I think some people might be like, am I really getting good value
if I take two quarterbacks within one pick of each other? Yes. I mean, at nine and ten,
yes, I would never do that earlier in the draft. But yeah, I think that there's a tier that
ends at about 15 right around Caleb, Herbert, my home staffer, Purdy, Nick's those kind of
guys. So I never want really anyone after that. Maybe Kyle or Murray after that, but everyone
else is not a guy. I'm going to feel super comfortable starting most week. So to get two
of those guys and let it kind of ride out. And if one doesn't pan out, but the other one
does, I'm going to be in a great spot. Remember Brock Purdy, I feel like those are two of maybe
the most disrespected and undervalued quarterbacks. And the reason they're, I say disrespected,
but also like you get it because there's so much depth of quarterback. But again, Nick's
has finished QB seven two years in a row. First two seasons of his NFL, he runs the ball well
and they had Jalen Waddle. And then Purdy has finished top ten points. We're going three
straight seasons. And so is a pretty good supporting cast. Um, it doesn't help. I think
a lot of people I'm laughing because feel took Brandon Aubrey in the 10th round. How dare
you? Every time I do it, Mike reacts less than the time. I know. I just want him to get
pissed one time and rip me and be like, you are the dumbest person. I mean, ever be on
it. I mean, it's terrible. For Spencer Schrader got her last year,
he was outscoring him. And then, uh, what? No, this is what we wanted. Well, I wanted
you to say is like, this is a completely irrefutable is a better pick this face and my ears ended
up outscoring him. Do you know the guy you just picked is kicker one has never led kickers
and fantasy points in his career? Yeah. You're going same with Jeremiah. Love is never
been adopted. I think one of the reasons why he's actually play that makes that argument
makes zero sense. One of the reasons why Brock Purdy doesn't get any of the love that
I think he should get is because he does sort of look like the rookie of the year. Like
he still looks like a 13 year old plain football, like Henry Rowan Gardner does. Who does
Brock Purdy? Brock Purdy. Yes. He just looks like a kid plain football still. So there's
a shot that like, maybe that's why people don't give him as much respect as he deserves.
Uh huh. I ended up going with, uh, we had Travis Kelsey came off the board after that
Brandon Aubrey pick. I went with Xavier worthy a little post hype sleeper. Is it post
post hype? Post hype? Post hype. He's saviorly. Yes. Yeah. Because the hype was last
year. Hype was last year. You stole that out of my that's what I've been saying the last
two weeks. Post hype sleeper. Oh, it's weird. I mean, you've been listening to what you've
been saying. So that's a thing. Is that? Yeah. You can't take what you just say. No, I'm not
saying anything anymore. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. There was Travis Hunter.
There we go. And then Casey Concepcion also Travis Hunter gets I don't draft. I don't draft.
That's why good. That's what you get. This is why you don't auto draft my friends. He's too
busy, uh, putting merch into the mail because they are doing serious. Now couple guys are
looking at going here at JCM. I thought about it that last turn. He goes here with the
second last pick in round 10. And then coming around the other side. Same person's act
takes Casey Concepcion. Another guy was looking at so, uh, new Daniel do that. Daniel puts
his money where his mouth is and takes Jalen McMillan. My God. I love Jalen McMillan.
I don't. Here's the thing. If Jalen McMillan pans out, I will actually feel bad because
I think it will come at the expense of Chris. Yes. Oh, Chris got it. Oh, or a mecca book,
but like ideally in my mind, it's, it's him becoming the number two wide receiver because
Chris Godwin just doesn't have what he did before. Yes. And sometimes it's like, yeah,
if you're fading Godwin, you naturally would be in on McMillan or maybe you're a Ted
Hersky, whatever, whatever it might be, um, very much like you're out on CMC. So you should
be thinking, okay, well, if I'm out in him, that probably means he got hurt, which means
Caleb Black. I'm a black guy that I need to draft. Like it, it, it all is part of the puzzle.
Mike's looking at my cue for later on in the draft. No big deal. We had a tear of current
or former packers go after Jalen McMillan. Jalen read first to Jaden read, excuse me,
to Eric Moody. And then Romeo Dobbs, I took at pick five of the 11th round. Um, I think
that I'll probably draft Romeo Dobbs forever more, meaning like until he's not playing
in the NFL. And I think on every single location, it'll be on my bench. You think so? I just,
I feel like he's the, like he is a classic fantasy bench wide receiver. Like we're never
going to be hyping him up enough. Nope. You're like, oh, yeah. Romeo Dobbs should be a top
30 wide receiver, but he's good enough that you're like, dude, like, you know, like week 12,
like all those buys are heading, like, you know, Dobbs, like number two paths wide receiver
got $17 million per year. Like he might go for like seven for 68 that week, right?
Mm-hmm. That sounds great. Yeah. He's like fantasy points. I'm in. It's like wide receiver
54. And then like, let's say AJ Brown just out for the season. You'll be like, all right,
I will move them up to like.
wide receiver 47. Like you feel like he's just in this like it's a perfect bench player.
Yeah. I do. But there's no ceiling there at all. He is a the better is seem to think
there is one. I was going to say he's the best wide receiver to the Drake May will have
played with in his short career. I would say that's fair. Um, because I mean, Stefan
takes was the one last year, right? So starting a formula. We're doing hot takes later on
this week. And I was starting to formulate some thoughts over the weekend. I tell you
what, Drake Bay is an interesting one because his week one matchup is obviously fairy
tough and against the sea hawks who he struggled. And he did struggle like during the playoffs
against real defenses. But depending on how you feel about some of the defenses there
after, there's a kind of tasty stretch there for Drake May, which is, all right, at Seattle,
home to Pittsburgh at Jacksonville at Buffalo. I think Pittsburgh and Jacksonville will be
pretty good defensively. But then at Buffalo, yeah, home to the Raiders, home to the Jets
at the Bears at the dolphins. All those pretty good. That's four nice matchups. If Micah
Parsons is back that home to Green Bay, a little bit tougher, but then home to the Lions,
like there's some opportunities there for Drake made a really feast. Yeah. Not excited
about that. I was supposed to go to a Lions game in New England really a couple of years
ago. Oh, and then you got sick and I hosted fantasy football now. Oh, here place. Right.
And then the Lions lost like 27 to three. And I'm so glad I did not go to that football
game. Wait, hold on, wasn't that Dan Campbell's first years ahead? Yes. Yeah. It was like,
you got me tickets as a gift. You were a really nice friend. And then you asked, I think
you got sick. I think I got, I think this one was in the pandemic. That's, yeah, you
do. That's. And next thing you know, it's like the team gets humiliated. Yes. And then
they go on this run to end his first season. And it's like, all right, all right. They
needed that. That way that loss right there was the humiliation they needed to push them
into the Lions. They became today. I remember talking to some buddies around the organization
at the end of that year. And they were like, dude, like, just watch out. Like our, our
coach is unbelievable. And I'm sitting there and I'm like, yeah, they finished strong,
but like still the Lions. Well, also like they like, they finished strong, but they were
what? It was like, oh, seven and one. Yeah, they weren't, whatever was wasn't good.
And they're just wait because Dan Campbell is the truth. And Dan Campbell is the truth.
It seems like it seems like it. All right. Quick recap. Well, we had, sorry about that
little trip down memory lane there. Rest of the 11th round. I took jail in McMillan,
Jayden Reed, Romeo Dobbs, Rashid Shaheed to our girl Liz Lose. He's been getting some
steam as that number two wide receiver there in Seattle. Zach Charbonate to producer Presley.
Tank Bigsby, Debo Samuel, Woody Marks, and Mark Andrews come off the board and Jordan
Tyson last pick. Yeah. That was me. I was at the turn here. And again, I'm shooting
for some ceiling at this point in the draft. And I took two guys that I usually don't pick
because they go earlier. Jordan Tyson, obviously was placed on IR. He's going to miss at least
four games, but might not be much longer than that. I feel like this is good value, especially
in the 12 team league where we're starting three receivers and a flex. So I'll gladly
throw them on IR and pick up, pick up someone off waivers. And then Chris Rodriguez, again,
I've been kind of anti, but going into 12th round for a guy that could be the leader in
terms of carries and goal line work for a very good Jags offense was too, too good to pass
up. Frankly, at this point in the draft, by the way, still no Stafford, still know
my homes and Tyler Schuck just went. So this guys are plummeting. I was going to say that,
say that. The idea that Tyler Schuck came off the board in the 12th before either of those
two quarterbacks. Obviously, we know that Matthew Stafford finished his QB two last year
as a non rushing quarterback for him to actually repeat that is going to be unbelievably
difficult. Yeah. Well, we've seen that he has that ceiling and the offensive circumstances
are very similar. Defense is a lot better. So he might not have to throw quite as much.
But you know, and then Patrick, my home's still there as well. We know he doesn't have
any upside, right? So that's a good. Yeah. I just let him feel like it was on the clock.
That was all. I'm taking back Matthew Stafford by the way. Oh, no upside garbage. No, that's
I mean, that's great value. Right. I took Joe bro early, but just like, you know, I could
have in hindsight, taken Nick's or Purdy and waited even longer, but honestly, with what's
available at all the other positions, we're now we're at now at the point where it's the ADP
doesn't matter. No, ADP doesn't cluster of players. I'm not, I don't regret anything at this point.
This is the, this is the part of the draft. I'm glad you said that Mike, where ADP shouldn't matter.
You should have identified, I don't want to make it sound aggressive, but you should identify
going into the tail end of drafts, guys that you are in on. I want to take dark throws at these
handful of people because I like the situation. You've built a narrative. Hey, if this happens,
this guy could be, you know, massively outperformer. He's being drafted. I'm with you, Mike. I try not to
get caught up on ADP in the 12th round of a 12 team draft. Really agree. Yep. Just, just grab the
guys. You want Keishan booty comes off the board here to Eric Moody. I'm going to go with my backup,
running back, both in real life and now in fantasy football. I say, Patechekko, if anything happens,
do Jimi Gibbs. What was the, who's the guy they sell the sailors? Jacob sailors looked sick
in that third preseason game. Dan Campbell had a question, had a comment that was like, we're comfortable
with him as RB two because I do believe that Patechekko is still compromised with that knee injury,
right? Yes, he is. Well, you're built, you're, this is your backup, so it's probably not that big.
Yeah, they kept a lot of running backs too. That felt like I read that quote. It was kind of
just like, he wasn't going to be like, no, we don't like our guy. Like, you know, it was supporting
your players. Yes, but they did keep them on the 53 and Valky as well. Yep. They also brought in
Kareem Hunt for a little bit of a tryout. I don't think he signed with the team, but like,
they were clearly kicking the tires on a couple of guys. Check out not fully healthy. Yes, exactly.
Sure. So yeah. All right. I'm back on the flag after I took Patechekko, Brian Robinson Jr.,
the Texans, Cameron Dicker and Mike Washington off the board. That booty pick just
that K Sean Booty pick. That was just me. I was, I was talking about your team, but then I switched
to talk him out. Yeah, it's suited there. Oh, my mom's off the board. Um, Tank Dell. I don't know,
we're going to see him for quite a while. Yeah. They look like I was trending the right way,
but he's at least out for four games. I don't know if we're going to see him. They keep saying,
they give the one thing that they have been very consistent with is like, we are not rushing Tank
Dell back. Yeah. And they have some options there. You know, of course they do. Yeah.
Xavier Hutchinson, I mean, he played a lot last year and he might be even there for if they
went around with Jalen Noel Booty and and Nico Collins. So they've a lot of us. Me if Hutchinson's
the two at the beginning. Yeah, I think at the beginning, he's thinking maybe. Yeah.
I think I did this and I made it bad for everyone. I called him great pick there by Kalen Black by
Team Moody. Uh, I called him Jalen Noel. I think it, I'm pretty sure field. You've told me it's
Jalen Noel. I said Noel because of the Christmas thing in my head. I just cannot see the word
end. Oh, yes. And I think yes. Exactly. I do think it is Jalen Noel. Um, I, I, they have a lot
of wide receivers now. Jalen Nechan. Sorry. I'm going to do that a hundred times. That was good.
That was a good joke. Field did field one with a defense field grabbed the Seahawks here in the
third game. I'm going to bite. I'm trying and trying and trying again. I'm typing Jalen Noel
pronunciations. Let's take a look at your lineup. It is. Yeah. My line. Okay. Here we go. What do you
got so far in your squad? All right. So keep in mind that I had the fifth overall pick. Yep.
Jonathan Taylor, Ashton Gentie, my two starting running backs. No, my three wide receivers.
George Pickens, Parker Washington, Chris Godwin. My quarterback is Joe Burrow. My tight end is Tyler
Warren. Bucky Irving. My current flex. Obviously subject to change. Right now my bench has RJ Harvey.
So I've got four. I think at three and a half usable running backs. Romeo Dobbs, Matthew Stafford
with the Seahawks defense and Brandon Aubrey is my kicker. I'm going to spoil it right now.
I'll be drafting three wide receivers with my final three match spots. I just think that at this
point, the like the potential dark throws at wide receiver far outshine any of the running backs.
Oh far, far outshine agreed. Is JK Dobbins the half of running backs? Just because he's five seven.
Mine was RJ Harvey's. I know you said you have three and a half of running backs. Right.
Yes. Half is in like, I'm not actually confident that I can get him. Got it. That's the half.
We have three running backs. You don't really have one, right? You know, it's interesting.
The Browns have three quarterbacks and one on injured reserves right now. Does that mean
they don't have any quarterbacks? The Browns did put Dylan Gabriel on injured reserves.
Did I miss something? Did you guys see him get hurt? I did. During the last game.
I think the report was he had a back injury. He was battling through and he's been getting
the team that whole time. That's why then they decided that he had a roster gymnastics injury.
That's what it was. That's what it was. That's what it was. I did not know
that. That one caught me by surprise yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Here we go. Wow.
13th round. Other than when I took Patrick Mahomes is Dart throw alley because I started
Cameron Dicker and Mike Washington Jr. I took patty Mahomes. Yeah. Super star quarterback.
You got a first name basis. Yeah. You and I are. Well, you know, we work on it. Then Kaelin Black,
Seahawks defense, Jacobi Lane, Chris Bell, Adonai Mitchell, Denzel Boston, Keaton Mitchell.
This is a big time. I mean. And then Mike goes and then we have Jalen Nailer. And now Mike
is on the clock for back to back picks. This is part of being in a 12 team draft as we do,
especially here at ESPN with the way our game is set up. Yep. We do a lot of 10 team drafts.
You do. Yep. Adding those extra two teams. That means that's 24 more players from the player pool
that comes off the board. Yep. And you definitely see it here in these rounds before you get to your
kicker and defense unless you feel Jates in which you've already drafted your kicker. No big
deal. But then again, I'm not competing with anybody. That's true. That's true. Mike's still on
the clock. Mike can't multitask when he drafts. He drafts. So he's locked in right now. He took
Dallas go there. Yeah. He felt really far. And I wanted to go maybe more upside there. But at the
same time, I just I can't pass on a guy that's probably going to be a mid to back end tied in one
and a 12 team league with one of my last picks of the draft. I can't believe how far you fell.
There's a little bit of concern or there was at least an
April, when this team drafted a potential titan to take over knowing that this is the last
year of Dallas, Goddard's contract doesn't feel like they were in that same situation where
we're that worried about it right now for 20, 20, 60 is no one is a bust at this point
for sure. But he's away. I know you're going. Yes. He's always I would guess healthy scratch
week one. Johnny Mont is there too. Right. Craig Alciterra is on IR as well. So they're
a little beat up at Titan. I wouldn't be surprised if they look at some depth options there.
We're going to have a lot of that today on waivers, but I don't think Stowers is anywhere
close to being an impact player. By the way, I did look this up the most recent post on
X from Jalen. No is for people who don't know yet. My last name is pronounced like Noel had
this question a lot lately. Jalen. No, I love that. No, yeah. No, yeah, but Mike didn't
trust us. So he had to go to Twitter because that's where all of the accurate information
used to make. Well, there was still some uncertainty there. So I was just I love that.
How about we recap 13th round here right now. My God. Braylon Allen first pick of the
14th round. Then Brenton Strange, Trey Tucker, Keenan Allen, Keenan Allen, unfortunately
dealing with an off the field issue right now as well. Something to keep an eye on.
Yeah, Keenan Allen, we can just say he was arrested on Sunday morning. Yes. For driving
charges. Yeah, that's under the influence. It's not good. Yeah. Nope. Yeah, that I might
take a while to sort that out. I don't even know if it'll happen this year. He might
be retired by the time the sorts itself out. But certainly he'll be you would imagine would
be suspended. But again, that may not happen this season. Other players were still waiting
on Keenan Allen would be one Rashad Bateman, Pukinakua, amongst the players that have had
off field charges that are still being vetted by the league for potential punishment.
Yep. I'm going to go with my favorite tight end left on the board right now here. Hey,
parents, Fergus. So that's my brain on that last pick was do I go Goddard or Ferguson.
But I think my hope is that Ferguson will be as good as Goddard. So I'm like, why don't
I just I don't know if that's true. Goddard was I know the touchdowns are going to come
back to earth, but he's still going to handle 20% of the targets in a good equals offense.
So what is with like what is with the Goddard? He like I feel like it's gone too far at this
point. I think it's probably I can't believe how exciting. Right. Yeah, that's it. He's
just one of them playing picks. But I feel like at some point this year, I'll either start
him or trade him to a team that's struggling at tight end when he's like sitting there
at tight end seven or. That's fine. I don't think the hate is about Dallas Goddard himself.
I think there is concern that Jalen hurts passing passing efficiency, not great loses
AJ Brown. You now have six guys. You're going to replace AJ Brown with with all the people
they added in that offense. I think more it's the idea of a passing game, a passing attack
that is led by hurts more than it is like Dallas Goddard isn't good. We've seen Dallas
Goddard. I guess a really good tight end of the Niko Collins of tight ends. Maybe he's
finished hop 12 and fantasy points, bring him a tight end seven consecutive seasons has
Dallas Goddard. He always misses a couple of games like Niko Collins, but when he's active,
he's super useful in fantasy. So we're down to the ninja. Yeah. Here we are. Nady Gritty.
Feel to go in with a couple of wide receivers. They'll you told us. Yeah. So I really around
targets. Devon Bailey, Joanne Jennings, and then my last one, we'll see. Joanne Jennings,
he's going to be the wide receiver three at worst in Minnesota. That's you will want
you to get there. Obviously, Kyle and Murray. We're trying to get him back. We're trying
to get Justin Jefferson back on track. Like that's our primary focus. Like I will. If that's
what it takes, if Joanne Jennings has zero catches this year, but Justin Jefferson has
500, I'll be a happy man. Me too. 500 catches might be a little bit. That would be a good
one, my friends. All right. Yeah. This round is basically defenses and kickers for what
it's worth. Not a lot to be able to go through. Daniel Jones came off at the first pick of
the 15th round. Rams Broncos Ravens, Joanne Jennings, Steelers, Eagles, Jags, Jason Myers,
and the Patriots come off the board, almost wrapping up the 15th round here. We got Ryan
and Mike Clay still left on the clock. Mike, do you just need to kick her into defenses
that way or I sure do. Okay. Yeah. It's going to make this nice and nice and simple here.
Yeah. You don't have to worry about who fell. Who do I think I'm maybe still getting good
value on it? It's just the best kicker, best defense available on the board. Yeah. Final
round. Should we start the years want to go through our teams while we're getting through
the final round? Oh, this is not a bad idea. Actually, if Mike picks both of his heated,
we can just start with his team because he can do that. Yeah. It'll be a good week one
matchup against Arizona. And then I will take a kicker. Oh, man. Look, the highest kicker
is fair, Baron. So I have to take him, but Harrison Mevis sitting there as well. So I've
got to, I'm going to have to use up all the time, guys. There you are. I need to think
this. No, I picked, I picked fair, Baron. So I'm set. My team is, my team is done. All
right. Let's start at the top. Then Michael Lester Clay, Junior, your squad for this year's
fantasy folk chili is not the top of it is now on the screen. Okay. So I'm going by
committee, a quarterback will play the matchups, Brock Pertie and Bo Nick's are my option.
So what? Pertie's playing the Rams in week one, right? Yeah. So I might go against him
and go with his chiefs. And then I'd probably go next week once he kind of play the matchups,
kind of stream. Running Max, Jeremiah Love and Bruce Hall, wide receiver, CDLM. And then
we get some upside youngsters here. Karin L. Tate, Marvin Harrison got Colson Loveland
at tight end. Jalen Warren is in the flex. And then on the bench, Alec Pierce, Jordan
Tyson, he's going right to I R. It's a free up bench. Somebody up. Yep. Chris Rod,
Regas, Dallas, go there. Braille and Allen. Braille and Allen. Usually I will take a different
insurance back from who I have. I thought this was a unique situation where I have Bruce Hall.
And if there's a setback and he needs a week or two, then I have Braille and Allen ready
to go. I don't want to take a chance there. So I did take Braille and Allen. I don't know
if I'll keep him on the roster long term. But for now, he's going to, he'll be a, he'll
be starter of Hall's out week one. There you go. Move it along here. How about you,
feel, Jason? My team as follows, we'll go quarterback to the last spot on the bench. Joe
Burrows, my QB with Jonathan Taylor and Ashton Gentie to work courses as my RB one and two.
George Paykins, Parker Washington and Chris Godwin, my three starting wide receivers need
Parker Washington to meet the hype, need Chris Godwin to find the fountain of youth. Tyler
Warren, and then my flex currently is Bucky Irving. That could be adjusted with my bench being
consisting of being made up of RJ Harvey, Romeo Dobbs, Matthew Stafford is my quarterback
lottery ticket. I've got Joe Burrow to really need him. DeWon Valey, Jawan Jennings, Caleb
Douglas. Those are kind of my dart throws at wide receiver with love. If one of those
panned out, Douglas was my final pick with the Seahawks and Brandon Aubrey. So I've got
defense one and kicker one. Love that. Wow. Wow. Okay. Thank you. Or you know, I look
at your team into that. What's that? Oh, okay. I'm looking at the actual, I got a
B in my show grade. I'm not. All right. Oh, yeah. There it is. Let's see. I got a, I got
to be as well. Oh, you know what it's interesting. I have to find this out now that we're using
like, I don't know how these are formulated. If it's using the ranks or the projection.
So I need to look at that. But yeah, Daniels lineup. I will say this. So the auto draft team
got an A because it just followed the board and didn't get. Oh, wow. I just want to say
this about your team really quick. Your wide receiver, two and three are two guys that
feel like they're on the opposite side of the spectrum in terms of like Parker Washington
is the exciting guy you want to reach for the breakout player. There's any, but everyone's
once a piece of him and then Chris Godwin's a guy, it's like, he's older now and fading
and all in once anything. So totally. I love this. This is ordered though in teams of like
the highest strength B to the lowest strength B, right? That's the way that it's done. So
I had the highest strength B squad on the, on our draft, which is not normally thing
that Mike Clay does for me. Normally I'm a seed draft. So I'm excited about this. I'm
going to tell you guys my copy. The more you copy my work, the more your teams are going
to be better. I hear you. I hear you, Michael. Here's my squad. When I started the top
J Daniels as my QB one, I actually also ended up taking Patrick Mahomes as my QB two just
because he was on the board. Let's see if we can capture lightning in a bottle a second
time. Travis H and Basel Tutten and Jadari and Price are my top three running backs. My
wide receivers are Pukka Nakua, AJ Brown, Wondale Robinson. My tight end is Salon Laporta,
my bench. It's full of some upside dart throws. Jordan Addison. We've seen him do some
things, although I'm kind of with field. I just want to see him get Justin Jefferson
of old. Yeah. But I would, you know, I would like Jordan Addison. We've seen him do as
a former number one pick in this league. Xavier Worthy, another dart throw. Hope in the
Patrick Mahomes can reestablish a connection with him. Jalen McMillan, you guys have heard
me talk about him. All off season long, Isaiah Pacheco as an insurance back in case anything
happens to Jameer Gibbs and Terence Ferguson as my second tight end because Sam Laporta has
been dealing with some injury issues. The last little bit, last couple of seasons of his
career. So I just wanted to have a guy already on my bench. I did get Broncos and Chase McLaughlin.
Cool. All right. Last all these. Let's look at Eric Moody's. Why not? Shout out to everybody,
Eric Moody. Follow him in chat. Always at Eric and Moody. We love all already met. He
already met Eric Moody. Jackson Dart, Javante Williams, Quinshaw Judkins, with Jamar Chase,
Chris Olave, Terry McClurene, Travis Kelsey at the tight end spot, took Jonathan Brooks as
the flex. Another really good running back here on his bench, Kenny Gainwell, with Jacobi
Myers, Jayden Reed, K. Sean Booty, Kaelin Black, Baker Mayfield as his QB 2. The idea that
Baker Mayfield is his QB 2 at the end of drafts. Another reason why you can wait in the
quarterback spot, plus the Ravens defense and Eddie Piniero. Like him. So Eric Moody is projected
to finish second in the league. Oh, this is actually great for content here. The projected
standings are Eric Moody. I'm sorry. Trophy smack away the first pick. Then Moody, then
me, then Daniel, Christina, Mike, Quintin, Zach, Loza, Tenthous Tyler. You love that.
Yeah. Ryan one of our producers.
- And producer Dave are--
- Oh Dave, he's ready for your punishment.
- Those things are always finished, exactly.
- Exactly how they play out, it's already settled.

The draft process involves shifting priorities based on injury risks, team needs, and player availability, with multiple analysts adjusting their picks in real time.
