Speaker 6So, I'm doing these, like, I'm trying to get my arm muscles to, like, exist. So, I've been doing all these, like, weights, like, five-pound weights, like, uh, uh, you know what I mean?
Speaker 7Oh, my abs. Have you ever done bar? I'm going to answer my question. You have never done bar before. I feel like you're not a class kind of girl.
Speaker 6No, I don't want to be around, like, people watching me suck.
Speaker 7Well, they have, in bar, you hold these one- or two-pound dumbbells. And you're in class being like, this is the easiest workout of my entire life. This is a joke. I'm lifting one-pound weights. Literally. And then what happens? The next morning, you cannot move your arms. It's my stomach. Lifting these weights
Speaker 6has impacted my abs.
Speaker 7That's great. You're using your core. Good job. Well, I'm using my core.
Speaker 6Should we talk about that we predicted something, or should we talk about Dancing with the Stars first? The prediction. We called it, roll back the tape, that Digger was going to bomb. You called it. We love Tom Cruise, but we knew Digger was going to bomb. Because we didn't understand. Now, I don't think we said this on the air, but I texted you that Verity was going to bomb. And you were like, it's absolutely not going to bomb. It bombed. It beat Digger. It beat Digger. It beat Digger. Poor Tom. He worked so hard. He took off so many shirts. He went through that spirit tunnel. He was dancing, wearing those sunglasses, doing everything he could. Bombed. It was going to bomb because no one understood what it was. No one understood what it was.
Speaker 7Yeah. I am surprised Verity bombed because that felt like it looked kind of good.
Speaker 8No, I don't think it bombed, though. It made 32 million. That's not a bomb. I think it's just like the reaction bomb. The reviews are horrible.
Speaker 6And Google did Verity bomb. Because I googled, did Digger bomb? And the internet said yes. Hollywood Reporter, Deadline. Everybody said that Digger bombed. Everybody said yes. Tom, look, Tom, call me.
Speaker 7You know what? We've been a part of podcasts that bombed. And it's okay. It's a part of the thing, the process.
Speaker 6We've never had a full bomb, though. Never. Yes, we have. Just mouth the words. What was our biggest bomb? I can't see your mouth. Give it again. Because you know what's weird is because you're mouthing it. I'm going to mute myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh. It's still, I wouldn't call that a bomb. Okay, and then one more, one more. I don't know who. You're going to, can you just text me this? Put it in our chat. We've had non-hits. But we've never had a bomb that just like one person listened to. Oh, correct. But we, she said the name. It wasn't a bomb. It just didn't do great. They were pretty balmy. They were balmy as far as we're concerned. I know what I'm saying. And that was the beginning.
Speaker 8The beginning of our, of like you guys creating this department. Of our journey together.
Speaker 6Yeah. Everybody's got to have a bomb now and then. It keeps you, it keeps you.
Speaker 7I feel like we're missing a good one. I'm going to look through my notes.
Speaker 6I know. I know another one. Which one? Oh, yes. We're sorry to everybody listening. But look, everybody needs to bomb now and then or fail. Oh my God, that was so good. Tom Cruise is going to come back so strong. Because here's why. Yes. He's going to have the car baby. Days of Thunder. Yeah, Days of Thunder. Days of Thunder. Top Gun 3. And then Tom, Tom, Tom, listen. Jerry Maguire. You need to do another. Rom-Com. Yeah. That's what, that's what the people want to see you do. Do you know how many 20 year olds I saw writing? Why is, why do I think Tom Cruise is hot? Tom, 20 somethings think you're hot. Give them what they want. They don't want you looking insane in a, in a, I didn't even know you were allowed to say fat suits, but I'm just going to say it. I didn't know you were even allowed to say fat suit and nobody wants to see that. They don't want to see Tom Cruise with weird gray hair looking. Not great. They want to see hot Tom.
Speaker 8So
Speaker 6give it, give us
Speaker 8what we want. I think people, I read on deadline. It was like breaking down, deconstructing why it bombed. And I even got bored with a, with the article, but it was saying it went from this studio to this studio to the people said no to it and this and that. And it was like, people were not hyped about it. They said no. And it makes sense. Yeah. So I think it was like somebody just. Saying yes to him so that they can make these other movies. So it was kind of one of his passion projects, maybe.
Speaker 6Right. But we want hot Tom. You don't look that good at 60, whatever you are for two. For whatever you are. For us to see you in a fat suit with gray hair. We're not, we're not playing Tom. I didn't understand it either. We want you doing two things. Hanging off planes. Flying planes. And hanging off mountains. Running. We want you running. Hanging off mountains. Yep. Yep. And doing that GQ thing with your shirt off. That's what we want.
Speaker 8Yeah. That's what we want. He tried hard to promote it, but.
Speaker 6You know who I am into right now?
Speaker 7Really into? I feel like that's, hold on. I feel like that's not fair to say to Tom.
Speaker 6That he can only look good?
Speaker 7Yeah. Like if he was a girl, if he was a girl and we said that to him, he'd be like, we would all be up in arms.
Speaker 6Well, but everyone loved him in Tropic Thunder and he didn't look good. Mm-hmm. Sometimes we'll take that. But right now we just want you in a rom-com. Fair. Why can't he do it? I'm not saying he has to only like be running.
Speaker 7Maybe he wanted to do something different and decide.
Speaker 6Yeah, but here's the thing. I'm glad he did it. Then he feels good because he did it and he loved it. Right, right. He did it for himself, which I support. And if I ever get to have dinner with Tom Cruise, I'm going to tell him all this. Right, right. I don't want him talking back to me in warm salad. I need, I need to have a real conversation. I can't have this. Hey, Tom, how's your salmon? I'd love to make movies. I can't have that. I need to know how's your salmon.
Speaker 7Right, right. I feel like he eats salmon. You know, if we ever interview him, we should just say, how do you make your coffee? How do you like your burger cooked?
Speaker 6Tom, what are you sleeping? What are you binging at night? I know you watch movies. What's your go-to?
Speaker 7Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know that about Tom.
Speaker 6How do you eat your eggs? No, we don't. That's why he's so mysterious and we love him because he's so mysterious. Pero me encantaron todos los artículos que son como: "Sólo leí todo esto a GK". article about Tom Cruise and I learned nothing. Nothing. You know who I like? Who I'm super into right now. Like I'm really into him. I've always been pretty into him. No. He's fine. He's fine. This person I've always been into. I've been into him from the jump. He's had some ups and downs. Tell me. Say it. Spit it out. Tried and true. Ben Affleck. I like that guy. Oh, me too. I think he's hot. I think he's smart. I think he's damaged.
Speaker 7I think he knows his damage. There's something about him that gives me the ick. I don't know what it is. The ick? The ick. The full-blown ick.
Speaker 6I don't have remote ick for him. Oh my God. I just. I have. I think that Ben and I could work it out. Like I think that it's like, I'm what you need, Ben. Like let's go have lunch. There's something that just does not. Dinner. I don't have lunch with Ben. We'll both be texting too much. Dinner. A late dinner. Nathan. An eight, nine o'clock dinner. I don't see him going to bed early. Yeah, I don't either. I think he goes to bed at midnight or earliest.
Speaker 8Are you irked out because of the whole J-Lo thing? I mean. Nope. I don't make some mistakes.
Speaker 7The J-Lo thing. I feel like. Well, now I'm just gossiping, so I don't want to say it because it could be defamatory,
Speaker 9but. No, I don't think it's defamatory.
Speaker 7Allegedly. Say that before you're septic.
Speaker 9Everything is defamatory now. No, how do you give your opinion? You're just giving. I'm just giving your opinion. That's my opinion. That's my opinion.
Speaker 7I don't know. I just. There's something. There's something. There's something. He was at his best with Jennifer Garner. I'm not going to be able to top that. Oh, yeah. Right. And I don't know. I feel like she's so cool and she's so kind and she's so sweet. Right. We're not going to be able to top that,
Speaker 6but he needs a non-actor. A non-famous person. They can be in the industry. They can be a lawyer. They can be us. They can be whatever. So he needs Amal Clooney. He needs to follow his BFF. Look, everybody needs Amal, but there's only one Amal. Right. Like, I don't even know who the other Amal is. Like, and George deserved Amal.
Speaker 7He did. You know what I think about? Like, when George was with Stacey Keebler. Oh, my gosh. But I love Stacey Keebler. I do, too. But I always found that pairing to be weird.
Speaker 6Just weird. Minka Kelly broke up with the Imagine Dragon.
Speaker 7Amy, we're going to need you to stop with the blueberries.
Speaker 6Oh, they're bothering you. Oh, it's not ASMR? Mm-mm. Fine. I'll put them away. I just saw that the Imagine Dragon and Minka Kelly broke up.
Speaker 8Oh, yeah. Oh, I didn't realize they broke up. I thought they were going to, like, make it. Aw. I like her. I like her. Ransom Canyon show. That surprised me. It got canceled. Yes, it did. I know. I was like, Dang it. I like this.
Speaker 6So, Danielle, you didn't rush out to see Verity after you said it was going to be so good? Mm-mm. I didn't either, and I'm a fan of the books.
Speaker 7Look, the time I watch movies is on an airplane. That's the only time you can get me to watch a movie at this point in my life. So, maybe on a trip to New York one time, I will put it on. Oh, I will.
Speaker 6And the fact that people think it's bad makes me want to go more. I'm pretty booked up this weekend, but actually, I cannot even squeeze it in. Maybe tomorrow. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 8I can see why. I can see why. Maybe it's over-dramatized and stuff. Like, if Anne Hathaway plays it a certain part because she does, like, that character Verity is very.
Speaker 6I like Dakota. Yeah. I thought she did some funny stuff on Saturday Night Live. I can't go tomorrow because I have my Kappa Kappa Gamma reunion. Oh, my gosh. How fun. So, we have Kappa Kappa Gammas from, and a few DGs and Pi-Fis, of course, from, like, a 12-year span, maybe?
Speaker 7Wow. How many people show up to this?
Speaker 6We don't know. We think somewhere between, like, 30 and 50. And how often do you do this? Never been done before.
Speaker 7Okay, because I was going to say, I have been graduated from college for a long time. And I have never done it before.
Speaker 6It's been talked about for a long time. And small groups have done it. In fact, one small group actually did it one year. They got to sleep in the sorority house in the summer, which I thought was really cool. But no, never. Never done it. Oh, I just realized my chair is, I was like, why am I sort of dizzy? And it's because my chair is sideways.
Speaker 7Hold on. And did you put this together?
Speaker 6No. So, here's the thing. Everybody has talked about it. Did I take the bull by the horns and start a group text where I said, everybody wants to do this. How about this date? And then more, more, more. To the point where, did you know you can only do 32 people in a group text?
Speaker 7Yes, because ours is, we have to eliminate people before we add.
Speaker 6Do we have 32 people in our, like? Team text? No wonder the, because I wondered, I always wondered why Easton and Mark aren't in it. Yeah, they can't be. They don't fit. Got it. Yeah. So, we maxed out the group text. So, we had to start having side text. I did order a slider bar. I thought that was a fun idea. And a potato bar. Great. Great additions. And a short jittery. So, potato bar. It's going to be in a potato bar. So, it's like, they come in like foil. They're all baked. Oh, okay. And then you can have cheese. Sour cream, butter, chives. Love. Probably some bacon bits. I don't know. So, I did a slider bar, a potato bar. So, I took the bull by the horns, but it's not, like, I'm not throwing it. Like, we're all throwing it. It's just like, everybody come. Where is it at? The country club. Cute. And then somebody said, what do you wear? And I'm like, jeans. Because some country clubs don't allow jeans, but this country club, no problem. That's fun. And we invited boys, but we don't know if any boys are going to show up. That's going to be so fun. When I laugh, my abs hurt. But I'll talk about it maybe on Dirty Rush.
Speaker 7Cute. I love that. Tune in to Dirty Rush.
Speaker 2Okay, we're just going to make a quick stop. Yeah, that's probably the biggest lie I tell myself. Because one quick stop turns into picking up tu gente, grabbing snacks, somebody bringing extra stuff, somebody saying, porfa, can we go here too? And suddenly, we have a whole adventure planned. Speaker 11Alyssa Jeltsin, and in my new podcast, What Happened to Her, I'm bringing you new stories and conversations every week. Stories about women whose deaths were too quickly ruled a suicide. She was starting to get worried and get scared for her safety. Stories of survival. The only difference between me and her, frankly, was a little bit of luck. Because by all rights, I should be dead. Cases that everyone else called closed. They can't continue. Convict her, right? Like, she has so much evidence. These stories all start in the same place. With a woman failed by a system that didn't believe her, that didn't protect her, that didn't see her. No child should ever experience that. And we were babies. She did all of these brave things and came out and spoke about it and he got a year. You never know who that devil is because he's wearing a disguise. Sometimes it's a police uniform. Listen to What Happened to Her on the podcast. The iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 5All right. Like, almost easier than ordering your coffee easier. Really. You can search through tons of cars online, compare prices, check out financing and trade-in options, all from your couch, your office, wherever. And if you want to start online but still hit the dealership for a test drive, you can do that, too. Really? It's flexible. So, whether you know exactly what you want or you're still scrolling, trying to figure out if you want heated cup holders or more horsepower, Autotrader's got options. Speaker 7Should we talk about Dancing with the Stars?
Speaker 8Yes. Yes. I think Jenna did a good job last night.
Speaker 7I know. Oh, my gosh. She took our notes. We appreciate it. Jenna Dewan figured it out. I know. You know, Jenna and Val, I was very, very sad about them just in general and how I just wasn't feeling it for so long. And I'm finally so happy. I just hope she keeps it up.
Speaker 6Who was the one that literally flung themselves at a person and the person caught them? They, like, flew. Who was that? Do you know what I'm talking about? I feel like they all do. They all do. And kind of, like, went, ah! And then the person, like, caught them like that. It was, like, a weird. It was either. It might have been Emma. Who's Emma's partner? Oh, the banana? I think it might have been Emma. Was she wearing, like, a long. A black dress?
Speaker 7Yes. I think it was Emma. Yes. Probably. Sierra got eliminated. Our summer house. I knew it was going to happen. I did, too. I did, too. She's fine, but I think she's just not as popular as the others. No, I think she's popular. She just felt very cheerleader. Like, everything was, like. Oh, a lot of, um. You know, like. Oh, yes. I noticed she was also part of the else and stuff. But I love her, and I thought she did so good, and I'm so proud of her. And I. Yeah. Honestly, I've seen so many seasons, and what episode is this? Episode five. She got kicked off. I learned way more about her in these five episodes than I have ever learned in summer house. And so, you know what, Sierra? Good for you.
Speaker 8Yeah. Yeah, she did good. I liked her and everything.
Speaker 7But I felt like. I felt like they all came to play. Like, I was watching, and I was like, what is happening? A lot of people got scores very close.
Speaker 6They're all close now. 20, 21, 22. I feel like it's, like, it's hitting.
Speaker 8It's hitting them. Like, it's actually, like, coming together, the dances, because they've been doing this for four weeks now, four or five weeks, and they're. I still love Mark Ballas. I just think he's so good. Laura did so good.
Speaker 7They got the highest score. It's so good. I'm just giving a lot of credit to Mark Ballas. He's just, like, really good. I agree. I agree. Our Connor is getting into Rocky Waters here. Oh, no. Well, he's. I'm nervous for him. I feel like he's. He's so darling. I know. But his hip shake last night. How was Julia? How was Julia? She was great. The thing with Julia that I will say, I just. She feels a little stiff to me.
Speaker 6She's too serious of a face.
Speaker 7But I do love her, so.
Speaker 8Yeah. I think she's too in her head. Like they said, they told Jenna last week, she's too in her head, and she came out, and she really felt vulnerable. I felt really. Her dance was pretty. Like, that was my reaction. I was like, pretty. My highlight? And then Julia is too in her head. Same critique. Fair.
Speaker 6Fair. My highlight? Travis Garland. My gosh. Oh, my gosh. I love Travis Garland. That guy can sing.
Speaker 7You guys. I think he can. But who was it? Oh, Amber Riley.
Speaker 8Oh. Yes. No, Amber Glenn. Amber Glenn. Amber Riley performed. Amber Riley sang for Harry Show. From Glee. I miss that.
Speaker 6Oh, that's iconic. It was incredible. I miss that. I miss that. I'll go back. So I watch it on TikTok, and so sometimes I miss things. Yeah, no, that was good.
Speaker 7It was really good.
Speaker 6I jam it out on TikTok. You know what?
Speaker 7This is the only show that I put my kids down to sleep, and then I hurry up and make dinner, and I just. I just sit. I'm like, 8 p.m., boom. Oh, my God.
Speaker 6Play. It's so funny. I love the way kids talk. I just called my niece a minute ago because she had the SATs today, and now she's out by the pool, and I was like, how's the tanning going? And she goes, I got to lock in, auntie. It's homecoming. Lock in.
Speaker 7She's got to. Oh, my gosh. She's got to get two shades darker, so don't. She's like, I got to lock in.
Speaker 6It's homecoming. I laughed so hard. That's so cute. All right. I mean, I still am bummed about Taylor. I'm not going to lie. I am. And I think there's trouble in Hanson Paradise. I don't know.
Speaker 8That's what I noticed, too,
Speaker 6is that. What do you mean there's trouble
Speaker 7in Hanson Paradise?
Speaker 6Explain. The brothers have not really supported Taylor. Yeah. So I don't know. Yeah. I don't know. I don't like that. Because I love Hanson together. I also don't mind if they do solo things. I'm okay with that. I'm excited for Taylor to do solo music. But I also like. Is it the Jonas Brothers? It's like. Yeah. They got to do their own things. Yeah. What are some other brothers bands? Naked Brothers. Do you know those guys? That's. You know. You know who the Naked Brothers are. They're famous now as actors.
Speaker 7Is it the Hemsworth Brothers?
Speaker 6No. The Hemsworth Brothers. Dan and Cher are not brothers. They're not brothers. Who are other brothers? Oh. I just said the Hemsworths. No. We're talking about musicians. Jackson 5. I'm not without your love and affection. Nelson. They were. They're brothers. Nelson. Do you know who that is? No. You do because we booked them on KTLA. They are those blonde brothers. They're Ricky Nelson's sons. You don't know who Ricky Nelson is. These are old-timey people. Brothers. Oh, those brothers that just got back together. I think they start with an O. Everyone's all going crazy about it in the UK. They kind of broke up and they were real kind of mad. They were mad about it and then they are back together and I feel like their band name is like Ozark or something. Come on. Come on, Jackie. You know these two brothers. They're. Scott Patterson loves them. He's obsessed with them. Oh. Oh, Omnicron.
Speaker 13It's like that. Omnicron. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's that song. No. It's. They're two kind of angry brothers. Yes, they're angry and they're British. Angry British. Oh, my God. I just spit food out onto my microphone.
Speaker 6And they're kind of whiny. Are you sure? It's not called like Odassus or something. Oh, Oasis. There you go. Odassus? I was so close. That is so good. My brain was so close. I knew it was an O from the start. I was like, Ozark. Omnicron. Okay, so outside of
Speaker 7Jonas Brothers, outside of the Hansons, there's the BPs.
Speaker 6Was Omnicron a version of COVID? Oh, you looked at.
Speaker 7You Googled it? It's so much more fun when you're trying to do that for your brain. Jackson 5 and I blacked out and didn't figure out anything else. So the only other ones that I see on here are BGs and the. Oh, the BGs. How did I forget
Speaker 8the Brothers Gib? Oh, yeah, the BGs. Liam and Noel.
Speaker 6Some Gallagher. Gallagher, Oasis. There you go. They're back. All right, well, that's Brothers Talk. What else? Yeah. Now, you texted me all this hype. Oh, yes, yes,
Speaker 7yes, yes, yes, yes. Okay, so thank you so much for bringing this up because I texted Amy. She often makes fun of my obsession for Real Housewives. And I told her, I was like, you know what, Amy? You are not far removed from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City this week in particular because they are in your hometown.
Speaker 9I should watch this.
Speaker 6So they went to San Francisco.
Speaker 7They went to San Francisco. They stayed at the Beacon Hotel. I'm assuming that means something to you.
Speaker 6the, like, what, episode number? Yes. Do you know what the Beacon Hotel is? Yeah, but I'm not a member of this club if it was the Amador Club. It was. It was. Are you sure?
Speaker 13I went back to the episode and saw it.
Speaker 6I'm a member of the Battery.
Speaker 13Oh, then I flubbed that. And I have no idea
Speaker 6if that's, I don't know the rules that if you're allowed to publicly, there's certain clubs you're not allowed to be like, I'm a member of. Do you know what
Speaker 8the Amador Club is? I do not. It's in that Bank of Italy building because that's what I went back to. I went back to the episode and saw it and I was like, I don't. And I weirdly, I'm not that familiar with the Beacon Hotel either. That's by Union Square.
Speaker 6Yeah. That's probably why you're not familiar with it. It's not where the cool kids are staying right now.
Speaker 8Yeah. And then they go to China Live in the next episode.
Speaker 6China Live in Chinatown. And I've been to that restaurant. There is a great restaurant in Chinatown that is one of the best restaurants. China Live? No, it's called R&G or R&D. Somebody look that up. R&G Kitchen? R&D? No, it's called R&D. R&D. R&D Kitchen. No, no. That's on Montana. I'm blurring it. It has two letters. Somebody Google R&G Chinese food San Francisco and see what comes up because it'll get close enough. Oh, yeah. R&G Lounge. R&G Lounge. That's a great place. If you're in Chinatown and go to the Fortune Cookie where they like make your own Fortune Cookies, you can walk. I can walk to that from my dad's house. Yeah. I literally park at my dad's house and walk to Chinatown. Oh, nice. I love your dad's house.
Speaker 7They went to, they went during St. Patrick's Day and I know it's like kind of a bit, the Irish car bombs and all that kind of stuff is a big deal.
Speaker 6In the old days, like when I was in college, we would go out to the city, San Francisco. It's called, people used to go up the city. We called it the city. It went off. Yeah. All the streets were shut down and you would just be like, cute boys everywhere. Let me tell you something about San Francisco right now. You know, everyone's like, San Francisco, it's disgusting. Remember that? It's all cleaned up. It is so popular. I went to dinner at Original Joe's, not the one that Adam Sandler goes to, the little Original Joe's, but I went to the Original Original Joe's with friends. Is the
Speaker 7Original Joe in a, there's a park in the middle. Yep. That's the one I've been to. Okay. I've been to that one. Which one's that one? The town? The Original Original Joe's. That's the Original Joe's.
Speaker 6Okay. I don't know because I've never like Spent a lot of time in New York. But in Los Angeles, like we don't have a, it's not like this in Los Angeles, right? I couldn't get parking to save my life, which isn't like that extraordinary in San Francisco, but like, that's new. People, people, people, young people in the streets, having so much fun, going from this place to another. Bars are overflowing. The people are on, like, say it's a bar with like a sidewalk. They're flowing out of the bar. Literally to get from original Joe's to like the freeway. I just was like, there's so many people. There's so many people like just, you would have thought it was New Year's and it was just a Friday night.
Speaker 7Yeah. That's cool. I've spent a St. Paddy's day in San Francisco and it was popping for sure. Popular. And then I went to this other thing.
Speaker 6Oh, sorry. You go first.
Speaker 7Just fun little tidbit. Bronwyn grew up in Danville, which I know is really close to you.
Speaker 6Well, that's. That's where I, you know, the good sandwich place.
Speaker 7Yes. It's basically in the chocolate Alamo.
Speaker 6There's Danville chocolates. It's a boutique that every, like all the cool brands, expensive, but cool brands. Like that's where we're going for the Gilmore girls. There's like a Gilmore girls thing in Danville.
Speaker 7And then Whitney grew up in San Ramon.
Speaker 6So, you know, San Ramon is like neighboring to Danville. Right. That's what she says. She says she spent six years there. Shelby that works for us grew up like Danville.
Speaker 9Amazing. I love it. You should come on a trip to Danville. I've said no one ever, but still.
Speaker 7San Francisco and go to original Joe's. I like that idea better.
Speaker 6Yeah, that's fine. We can, but we'll go to the original Joe. We'll go to, we'll go one night to the RNG lounge and we'll go one night. We'll do Italian at the little original Joe's so that we can then walk down Chestnut street and union street. And you can see all the 20 somethings.
Speaker 7I love it. I love it.
Speaker 6I'm so in and about. Wow. I love it. Oh yeah. So you should do it. Like a San Francisco podcast. Like let's do our own, the real housewives of San Francisco. I'm surprised they don't have that.
Speaker 7Me too. Like real housewives of Marin. They're missing out. I think a lot of people would say no. I mean, you would think that about Beverly Hills and look at. True, true, true.
Speaker 6You know, we should ask Andy Cohen. Otherwise we'll call it. What's in that? We can't say real housewives. We need to get a new name.
Speaker 7What did they, what's that? The double lives of suburban. Wives. Yeah. The, what would we call it?
Speaker 6Mormon wives. Let's workshop this. We're going to need to workshop this. San Francisco. I wear a Patagonia, but I'm cool on the inside. They're not fashion. We're not that fashionable up here. Not like LA. We talked about that.
Speaker 9I mean, today I'm not looking. But do you see what I'm wearing? I'm wearing sweats. I'm wearing a shirt. What does it say? What does it say? This is my vacation shirt.
Speaker 7I can't see it. Does it say this is my vacation shirt?
Speaker 2Yes. And suddenly we have a whole adventure planned. Pero sabes que? With intelligent all wheel drive and five drive modes. And when your hands are full, the motion activated liftgate makes loading everything super easy. And with a 12.3 inch display and Google built in, you can keep your map and your soundtrack bajo control. The 2026 Nissan Rogue, ready for the adventures you plan and the ones that happen along the way.
Speaker 11I'm Melissa Jeltsin. And in my new podcast, What Happened to Her? I'm bringing you new stories and conversations every week. Stories about women who's deaths were too quickly ruled a suicide. Stories of survival. They can't convict her, right? Like she has so much evidence. And we were babies. She did all of these brave things and came out and spoke about it. And he got a year. Listen to What Happened to Her on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 14I'm Hamza. And I'm Martin. And we're the. We're the hosts of Out of Character. It's a podcast. I know. There's a lot of them to listen to these days. How are you going to get to us? Well, there's a specific reason why you should listen to us. We are the best podcast in the entire world. I swear. I know. Bold. But why don't we list some of the things we might talk about on a regular episode? So sometimes we'll talk about, I don't know, the Uber driver we just had. And how nice they were. Or if we tipped them or not. Come and find out. Sometimes we'll talk about that weird news story from last week. It's the one you're thinking about. Trust me. Or maybe we'll talk about music and what's happening in the underground. Or drama and music. Or TV shows. Or the Met Gala and what the actors wore. What we're saying is we're not afraid to talk about everything under the sun. And if you want to see what that's like, come join us. It's a place where everyone can hang out. Anyone. Wherever you're from. Whatever you're like. You're welcome. Listen to Out of Character from Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network. On the iHeartRadio app, Apple Pods, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 5All right. If you've been. I've been putting off car shopping because it sounds like a whole thing. Buying your car online on AutoTrader makes it way easier. Really. Really. It's flexible. Start online. Finish at the dealer. Start at the dealer. Finish online. So, whether you know exactly what you want, or you're still scrolling trying to figure out if you want heated cup holders or more horsepower, AutoTrader's got options that fit how you want to buy.
Speaker 12Really. This week, Tom Thumb announced. Albertson shoppers can save $20 off any purchase of $100 or more using the digital offer. Valid through 1013. Text TOMTHUMWEEKLYAD to 48687 and never miss a great deal on groceries.
Speaker 6We'll see you next week.
Speaker 7Like, and I see him. Yeah. That probably makes him spray. Don't do that. I know, don't do that. Leave him alone.
Speaker 6Somebody I know almost had to go to the hospital because the smell is like so bad. You don't know what to do with yourself.
Speaker 7Okay. I'm just saying. That's horrible. No, no, like it got sprayed. That someone is Amy. No, it wasn't.
Speaker 6It was, I won't name who, but it's someone that used to work for us as a mom and dad. Oh my gosh. So anyway, I also have the rat. Did you guys see the mouse in the Dunkin' Donuts case? Was that AI or was that, was that real?
Speaker 13I think it was real. He was like hiding out.
Speaker 6He was like, it's ratatouille. No, I've got a rat and it, we get rid of it. And then it comes back. And when I say we get rid of it, I know we get rid of it. And yet another one figures it out. So how are they so smart? Here's my question. And I don't know the answer to this. At night, are there a million rats out there? Like the rats come out at night. The rat expert told me the rats go out around 1 a.m. and come home around 6 a.m.
Speaker 8Because they know it's quiet. And so they know that there's nobody bothering.
Speaker 7You know, you guys, my entire backyard is hedging. Oh, no, no. There's just rats all the time. You know that if you have IV, you got to get rid of it. Yeah, they don't know. They don't bother me. What do you mean? They don't bother you. Rats, raccoons, possums. You are welcomed at my house.
Speaker 6Tell me, call me when you get one in your wall. Call me when one's in your wall.
Speaker 7I'll invite a skunk.
Speaker 6You can hang out. Just don't smelly. And you know who are mean? They're mean. I love them, but they're mean.
Speaker 7Raccoons. Oh, yeah. Raccoons are very mean. Very mean. I've never had a raccoon here before.
Speaker 8Lysol air sanitizer. I don't see them as much as skunks, Amy, by the way. Lysol air sanitizer. That's what I use it for.
Speaker 9I don't like those chemicals, though. I know. Amy doesn't do candles. So just stay with it.
Speaker 6I don't do anything that smells. I don't do. I do only battery candles. I can't do fragrance. So like when I get makeup, I have to make sure it's like fragrance free. Oh, my God.
Speaker 7Very similar to someone on our team.
Speaker 6Somebody else is fragrance free?
Speaker 9Yeah. What? You don't want to name them? No, because it's one of our hopes.
Speaker 6Name them. Name them. Oh, somebody else hates fragrance? Oh, my God. She's very, very. Oh, yeah. Well, guess what? I don't do fragrance either. So we are aligned. And I have this one Bobby Brown. I do want to talk about that. I don't want to talk about it. But that Molly Sims Bobby Brown thing was just like weird. She corrected it, though. She corrected, though. I think the weird part was on. Bobby Brown corrected it. But I think Molly Sims kind of overreacted. But whatever. Bless them. Bobby Brown. Your blush is coming. I have a Bobby Brown blush, but it does have a fragrance. And I don't want to get rid of it. I don't want to get rid of it. I'm going to patch test it again. See if I can handle it. Is the plague coming? What is this plague? Where is this idea?
Speaker 7Is this the one where the scientist died from it? Okay. In a plague factory. Literally. I literally think the news said he worked in a plague factory.
Speaker 6And I was like, why do we have that?
Speaker 7I'm assuming it's to be proactive with vaccines or something like that.
Speaker 6Something. But it was some sort of rogue plague, I guess. I don't know. I don't know if it's coming our way, right? I saw a couple of doctors like, I'm worried. Here's what I am feeling between the AI robots and the plague. I'm going to have to be, I'm a prepper. I know. Did you watch The Last of Us? Jackie, did you watch The Last of Us? A little bit of it. Did you ever watch that amazing episode with Nick Offerman that he like won the Emmy for? With the other guy that's cool from The Lotus. The Lotus. Is it called that? The White Lotus. The Lotus. I don't think I saw that episode. I saw the one where- It's a full-fledged prepper, Nick Offerman. He ends up- Oh, I remember. Yes, yes. This is all coming back to me. And the level of prepperness. Yes. He literally beat the zombie apocalypse. He beat it. He was having steak, potatoes, veggies. He grew a garden. He figured out how to block off the whole town. And he and the husband just lived there so happy until they died. But still, it made me really want to be a prepper. And they did. They did not die from the zombies. The zombies did not get them. They died because the husband got some sort of disease and Nick Offerman didn't want to live without him. So they both died together. Can I ask you a question? Immediately, of course.
Speaker 7Okay. Because this is my problem with being a prepper. I know myself. I know I can prep and I know I can do that. But if shit were to really hit the fan and I would have to use these prepping supplies and survive, I won't be the strongest person to survive. Like I just already- How do you know I got two days in me?
Speaker 6Okay. Does this make sense?
Speaker 7You're saying like you would just be like,
Speaker 6I don't want to live like this.
Speaker 7No, no, no. I'm just like, I give up. Like, I don't know.
Speaker 6Not me. Not me. I am ready. I don't want it. I don't want it. But if I could get like, gather up the family, hopefully have like a hot boyfriend, get all the kids. I don't want any, I don't want to be sad. I want to get everybody together. Some friends, a nice community of preppers. I can, I know that I can get those zombies. I am just going to get it in the eyeball.
Speaker 7This is my thing. And you know how you're supposed to like with your family members, whatever, like you, you before, you know, right now, like I know if a disaster were to happen- Here's where we go. We are meeting here. And we are meeting at my uncle's house. Okay. Cause I was going to say your house is a little small. Yeah, very small. Meeting at my uncle's house who is, who lives in my house. He lives 20 minutes away from us. Not even 15 minutes away. We can walk there every day, but we can do it. Yeah. He is the guy. He's ready. He's the guy. So like, for me, I know if something were to happen, I go help the person that's going to help me. Like I would be like- Your support staff for the leader. Yep. Hey, Theo Caesar, what do I do? You need me to do this. You need me to cut this vegetable. Got it. You know what's weird?
Speaker 6I can't do the cooking, but I can do the, I can get those zombies. Like I've watched hundreds and hundreds of episodes of Walking Dead. I can just.
Speaker 7So this is my point is I will not be the person that preps, but I will find the person that preps and I will be their best fricking employee. And I will work hard to do all the things they need me to do. So I feel that way too. And they have to feed me.
Speaker 6I want to have people in on my expertise. You're going to need gas. I know. Because they need vehicles. Like, like, yes,
Speaker 7later in The Walking
Speaker 6Dead, they just had to get horses. But still in the beginning, you need gas. So, you know, I never let my cars, I used to do half a tank and now I don't let them go below three quarters. Yeah. My husband's the same way. Two cars, fully gassed, ready to rock. I, we need knives. Knives. Now I am not a gun person. I do not like guns. I do not have a gun. I hate guns unless it's the zombie apocalypse. They are so essential in the zombie apocalypse. It's insane. Let me tell you what else you need. Water, water, water, water. I don't know if we should be digging wells, but we need water and we need canned goods.
Speaker 8Well, how would you even store the water though? Because people say not to do it in the plastic, you know, you're just going to get it. Okay, guess what?
Speaker 6At that point, we're not going to worry about having a credit card amount of plastic in our brain. We're going to sacrifice that. And we're going with the plastic, right? I don't think we all can be just like, we can't be running through a zombie field with glass bottles. Like, it's just like at that point.
Speaker 7I'm like, I'm so sorry. I'm not going to drink that plastic water when I haven't had a sip of water in five years.
Speaker 6I will also say, and this I learned from Fear the Walking Dead. There's bad people out there. Make sure you get the full pop when you open your water bottle. Because one crazy lady on Fear the Walking Dead put antifreeze into the water bottle. Oh my gosh. I didn't even know what antifreeze was. They cured it with beer, which I also don't even know if that works. I'm just giving you the Walking Dead episode. But we need water. We need gas. We need knives. We need food. We need a fortress. You're going to need a fortress. Yeah. But that's harder.
Speaker 7Like paradise. You know what I will say is like today, this morning, I got gas and I felt in my car. And when I left the gas station, I was like, I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm like, oh my God. I literally have that
Speaker 13thought.
Speaker 7I'm like, I got a full tank of gas. You're like, I can get out of
Speaker 13here and get a whole 300 miles.
Speaker 6What would be great is if I actually could have a car that could tow another car. So when the car ran out of gas, then you jump into the next car and you could go 600 miles. But I think, because I don't know how much gas a person could actually store. Seems sloshy and dangerous.
Speaker 7And also, you know that there's those people that are going to be stealing gas from cars. You know, the old
Speaker 6siphon where you suck them out. And you're like, are those people getting gas in their mouths? And how do they all know how to do that? My other thing about gas is, have you ever had to get back in the olden days? We would run out of gas. You had to fill up the red thing and take it to your car and pour it in. Sloshy, messy, the sloshiest, heaviest, messiest. So just storing gas is not easy, but I don't know. I do have a lot of gas stations in my town. So maybe I could like petition the towns to figure out how we could get the gas out when the zombies come. hey, look, I understand this is all electrical and all that, but let's have a feel safe that when the zombies start coming, that we know how to press a couple of buttons or your crank, maybe a crank and we get the gas out.
Speaker 7It's so funny that you're concerned about zombies because for me, I am more concerned about one day, the power just going out and we just don't have power across the entire United States of America. Just bloop. That is, I'm worried about that. And then the second thing I'm worried about- Do you have any generators? We have one. We have a very small generator. And I encourage people to give those as Christmas gifts.
Speaker 6We need like a prepper expert that could totally talk about prepping. Because here's my thing. Luckily, we live in California. I'm never that hot and I'm never that cold. I am in my champagne problems, but like in actuality, I actually don't need heat and I actually don't need air conditioning. So that's, I'm not in the snow. Mm-hmm. I have matches so I could make a fire and make my soup. I need to know from a prepper, how long can we go without power? Is it forever?
Speaker 7Well, you look at paradise and just power went away. So like what happens?
Speaker 6Well, but they have power in the thing. Oh, you're talking about Shailene. Shailene, yeah. Is this our best episode ever?
Speaker 13I don't even know.
Speaker 7I don't even know. I don't know. Can somebody see if there's a prepper
Speaker 6that can like talk to us? Jackie, it seems like a job for you.
Speaker 8Yeah, I can research.
Speaker 6Where would I start? This looks like a job for me. Do you know that song?
Speaker 9How does that go? It was Eminem.
Speaker 7Everybody, follow me. Can I tell you another really big fear I have? Let it out. I see you wanting to tell us. Yes. Survival expert. My second biggest fear, and I have a really good friend that works for Waymo, and I talk to her about this all the time. Do Waymos go crazy? Every intellectual car, meaning the Teslas and the Waymos and all those that are computer generated, just one day get hacked and they go rogue, like iRobot. Well, haven't
Speaker 6you ever seen the movies
Speaker 7where-
Speaker 6Cause havoc. Yeah, but correct. Haven't you ever seen the movie where they change the signals, you know, the red light signals, and cars are crashing, crashing, crashing. Yes, yes. That scares me. Yeah, we all have to go live in, like, a farm. Bear Grylls, Bear Grylls tops. Bear Grylls. He would make it, he would make it.
Speaker 8He's not the prepper, we
Speaker 6need, like, a prepper, but do you guys have gardens? I feel like we all should be making gardens. Yeah, I have garden. Can I have my blueberries again? How much 'til the end?
Speaker 7I don't have a garden. Oh my God, you guys. I don't know who everybody- So stand by it, I am not surviving on my own. I am latching on to the one best, prepper in Los Angeles. Can you get here? Oh, you got your uncle. And I'm globbing onto him and doing anything he tells me to do so that I'm indispensable as a hard worker.
Speaker 6I mean, I think I could do it, I do. I'm not fully prepared. That's why I need the prepper to tell me, like, you know, people are like underground bunkers. I can't do that, I'm too claustrophobic. I need to be able to have air. Yeah, like a panic room. If the air goes, I think that's it for me.
Speaker 8A lot of people in Midwest have those underground ones 'cause of the tornadoes. Yeah, I get real claustro in those.
Speaker 6I've never been in one, but I just know. Yeah, you know. I know, yeah. If the air is okay, I think I'm gonna be, I can get, I think I could kill zombies two at a time. I just wanted to make this a clip. My hair, you can't because this half of my hair is not blow dried and this happened. But I do, I watch so many "Walking Deads"
Speaker 13that I'm like, go, go. How do you not dream of it? 'Cause when I was watching "Ghost Whisperer", I would dream of ghosts. Oh no, I don't, I don't, I don't. Oh my goodness. 'Cause I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready.
Speaker 7Should we end this podcast and doomsday prep it away?
Speaker 6We should talk about something really happy just for a second. Okay. I'm still knee deep into "Reacher". I haven't watched "Neely" yet, but I want to. What is everybody watching? Just say that.
Speaker 7"Housewives", there's so many right now and it's like really consuming me and it's really hard to keep up right now. I started my "One Tree Hill" rewatch.
Speaker 8Oh. Aggressive. Yeah, I just finished season one. It was good. Oh my God. Have you rewatched it before? Yes, years ago. So this is round three? Maybe round two or three, yes. Wow. Just because they all reunited like mid-September and I kept seeing it on social media 'cause they have their annual "One Tree Hill" thing. And it's live every year. Yeah, yeah, so it was on my mind. I was like, you know what? I'm gonna rewatch this. And it's really good.
Speaker 6I'm gonna get into my. For me, it's time for "Spooky". I'm gonna start rewatching all the horror movies. "Friday the 13th", "Remembering Elm Street".
Speaker 7You got me at "Hocus Pocus". That's all I got for Halloween. What did you do, "Nightmare Before Christmas"? Yeah, yes. Do you consider
Speaker 6that a Halloween movie or Christmas
Speaker 7movie? I don't know. My toddler likes it all year round, so it's an all year round movie. Can I tell you the best Christmas movie, guys? The "Holiday". Truly? "The Family Stone". A very Jonas Christmas.
Speaker 6Oh my God. I'm telling you, it's so good. And also, "Olaf's Very Christmasy Christmas", or whatever that was. "Olaf's Frozen Christmas". I need to watch that. I haven't seen it. 15 minutes, your kids are gonna become obsessed. Oh. There's a new joke every time. Every time. Watch it and get back to me right away. Okay, I will. It's so good. So good. I think it's called "Olaf's Frozen Christmas". Okay, I'll watch it. Jonesing for "Frozen 3". Me too. I think "The Rain" is gonna be one. Did they announce it? It's gonna be like years, but yeah, I'm ready. Yeah. Well, we've gone on 10 minutes too long. Talk to you guys later. Bye-bye. I think that was our best show ever.
Speaker 2This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human.
