I'm excited, but if it were the regular thing, I would not like it. Oh no, I wouldn't like that. I was thinking about that when I was on the way. I was like, I can't believe part of my take does this like every episode. After a full work day. I'm like a Sunday in like the dead of winter. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like it felt like I was just that you were the most positive guy in the room and this is how you feel. He went into hiding like the Colombian soccer player who couldn't go home because he missed a kick. Essentially, yeah, literally exactly that. So that was tough. Like it was like tough because it was like what the fuck's going on, but like at the same time, you're like, I hope he's okay. Like, I don't know what's going on. So like that was a lot. And then today was just like it was, I mean, just hell. Well, you're skipping a big part. Well, yeah, I kind of just wanted to get the flight thing over with what's fresh. That blue is, you're still skipping a big part. You were originally scheduled to take the red eye. No, no, no, no, no. You were never scheduled to take the red eye. I was originally scheduled to get here to land at 10 30 p.m. And then I switched, I switched my flight four times, four times. When I checked in at the airport today, the guy was like, what's your flight number? And I said it and he was like, you have four flights. Jesus Christ. I mean, I'm I'm active. I'm my money. I've ran out of money. It's all gone. You had four active persons, personally, personally, mostly like first class. No, no, no, no. I saw your ticket. No, because that was the only one available. That was the only one available. You had Delta United and JetBlue first class. No, I had United, no, the only first class I had was JetBlue. I had United to get in at 10 30, not first class. I had Southwest and then I had, which was a, which I should have just done the Southwest flight. That was the big fuck up. I should have just stuck with that one. Was that the red eye? No, that one what I would have got home at five. The red eye, the red eye was just like, yeah, I should have done the red eye. Like that. You were never planning to. I thought you were always planning to do that. I was texting you guys and I was like, I was like, what if we did, would you guys be able to do like five, which like, obviously, it's not five, it's nine 30 right now. It's not five. And back, one of our producers, he took the red eye, took the red eye, I will say I also did tell Mac. I was like, do you want to change your flight, too? And he was like, I have to do other stuff like he had to do whooping and hollering stuff. So I was like, no, we're good. I have boy dead tomorrow. We record son of a boy dead on Mondays. I need to get back the way that I saw the way that I saw it in my head was, well, first of all, I had to change the flight regardless what it was, when he said other stuff, that's what it was. No, it was hooping. It was hooping and hollering was what it was giving me hooping and hollering and other stuff. You know that boy dead always follows. It always follows hooping and hollering, but that was the plan. That was the plan. You wouldn't have made it back in time. I like, you guys have no idea. Like I, I was on, I was on getting in at 1030 and then I switched it to another United Flight and then I found out that that United Flight, because that one was getting in at five at Newark. And then I found out that that one was going to San Francisco first, two hour flight and then a six hour flight. So I was like, all right, let's try to find an alternative to that. Then I find the Southwest flight and I'm like, okay, this is definitely better. It's three hours to Oklahoma and then Oklahoma to here, but it's middle seat all the way. Whatever. I don't care. And then I'm like, okay, I'm going Southwest. That's the plan. Landing in La Guardia at five p.m. And then I'm still just refreshing the app all night. I'm on like price line, Expedia, kayak, all of them. I'm refreshing all of them and I, because I know something's going to open up. It's we're in Las Vegas. Not everyone is making their 7 a.m. flight. Of course. Something opens up 7 a.m. Get's into JFK at three p.m. I didn't even tell you guys. I was like, they're going to be, I'm going to text them in the morning. I'm back. It's three. Like, we can just get this over with. And then, and then like right before I go to bed, I'm checking in and it's delayed. It's automatically delayed three hours. So you got that flight, you switched to it. and all your others, you canceled? - Yeah. - Yeah, I see. - I canceled all of it. I would book and then I would, 'cause I had the 24 yet. - Yeah, you can cancel it. So you ended up, your final answer was 7 a.m. flight. - 7 a.m. direct, I mean, it was too good to be true. 7 a.m. direct first class, getting in at 3 p.m. That was what I was looking. It was literally the number one thing I was looking for all day. - That was your JetBlue flight? - Yes. - Yeah, so I don't remember when you texted us exactly, when did you tell us, you told us at 3 a.m. - 6 a.m. your guys time, 3 a.m. my time. - Oh, that's what it was. - And then you called Gerry at 4 a.m. - Yeah, right. - I woke up at 4 a.m. - I went to bed at 3, woke up at 4 a.m. - I woke up at 4. Because here's what happened, right? So Harry, Harry like tells us that he's-- - Well, by the way, I don't want to tell it like, obviously it sucks, like I don't want to text you guys and be like, hey guys, delayed again, another four hours. - Dude, honestly, don't worry. I know you don't worry. I'm not actually mad. - No, I know. I just, I'm just saying. - Because it's funny and you've been through hell. So I'm not gonna pile on. But I want for the sake, I want us to understand what happened because I think it's very funny. - There was also an unbelievable text message exchange. - Was this at 7 a.m.? - This is at 7 a.m. - I thought you were gonna take the, I thought the plan was that you were always gonna take the red eye because you were like debating it last night. You were like, I'm thinking I might switch my flight to the morning or something. - I was on the red eye. - So there you go. That was the original plan. - Well, it was, I mean, it was the second, it was the third plan. - Oh, and I was the third flight booked. - You, okay. All right. So it's at 7 a.m. text message. Francis says, he gets the bad news from you at 5 a.m. 5 30. Francis says, shit, keep us posted. I'll start thinking about a guest. Hey, we can get in case you can't get home. 7-0-1, 7-21. Harry, I'm trying to help you figure this problem out. Wake the fuck up. (laughing) When Harry, like, this is what happens. Harry's like, wow, there's no solution. It is, we'll go back to bed. - It was 4 a.m. I'd been refreshing the apps. They're four hours. - Yeah, my hands are tied. I'm at the mercy of the airlines. - I have it. - I have it, the wind. - What is this thing that? - I just mail it in. - No, I'm gonna go get the floor. - The thing that bothered me in the morning was that I genuinely did have alarm set every hour to, like, refresh and see if anything opened up. And then I get a preamp, like I get, I get a pre alarm. - Yes. - And in real, in person alarm. - Flow down. - Here's what happened. It's 6.30 a.m. I'm up because I'm a healthy human. - That's wild. So, texted you guys as I had a feeling you guys would be upset. - Yeah. And I get all these messages from Harry and he's, like, bad news. My flight's been delayed four hours, which means I'm not gonna get to JFK until, like, 7.30 p.m. - Yeah. - Which means we're now not gonna record till 9. And I know that if everything goes perfect. - Yeah, exactly. If there are further delays, we're cooked. - Yeah. - There's no Harry for this episode. And as I'm sure we'll get to later, it was imperative that Harry be on this episode. Imperative. So, I'm now, I go into, I am a problem solver. That is my first, my first reaction is I wanna solve the problem. I'll get, we'll learn the lessons later. So immediately I start looking at flights. And I'm seeing, you know, all these, like, 7.00 a.m. flights. - Yeah, yeah. - And some have connections. Most of them you had to look in first class. That was the only ones that was like three, two to three K. - Yeah, they were 2,000 bucks for sure. - Yeah. - But I was like, I was, I said I was like, I might have flight credit that I couldn't help. - Well, that's what I did. - Yeah, I was willing to subsidize getting you home. - Love that. - I'm a team player. - Team player, team player. - Never doubted it. - Even though our fucking home run hitter has, is Dennis Rodman in Vegas. - He's married to Madonna. - Is he gonna make it back for game six of the NBA finals? - He's wearing a wedding dress for some reason. - He's gone to Vegas? - Oh, he died his hair and he's yelling at Austin. - He's not gonna come to practice today and we're playing Carl Malone tomorrow. Which means I know you've gone to sleep. - Yeah, yeah. - And I'm finding things and I'm like, we need to get Harry on a 7 a.m. flight, which means he needs to go to the airport. - Now, kind of now. - Yeah, right now. - So I called Jerry. - Yeah. - And it is four in the morning. - Oh, you hear his drum and bass in a girl being like, the ATMs right over here, baby. (laughing) - Papi. - Jerry awake when you called him. - Bro, not only was he awake, he sounded like he was up. - He was up. - He was alert. He could've flown the plane home for you at that time. He was like, he answers. He goes, hi, Francis. I was like, Jerry, I'm sorry to call so late. He goes, that's okay. I was just about to go to bed. That's where it got. That's what he said. - I believe it. - He was like, but what's going on? And I'm like, listen, man. - He's not gotten these calls before. - Oh, definitely. - I go, are you with Harry? Like is Harry asleep? And he's like, yeah, I think he's gone to sleep. And I'm like, we need to get him home to record boy, dad. These flights situations a problem. Can you go knock on his door to present these options that I've found for him? - Yeah. - And he's like, oh, man, you want me to go wake him up? - Yeah, I didn't sound like. - And I was like, I don't know what else to do, but this is what has to happen. And he was like, okay. And he went down and knocked on the door. - Oh, man. - You didn't open the door. - I was half. - You were half. - I have been the most angry I've ever been. - Fucking of fraud. - I'm hearing Francis' voice through the door. While I'm like, I've been asleep for like 45 minutes. - I hear Francis being like, tell him he has to come home. (laughing) - By the way, this isn't the first time this has happened. - I just say, you literally since version of what happened when we did the same thing. - No, you literally said that you were going to have to do that. - You did. - You're like, I'm going to have to go across the country and like, after you're going to drag, or now you're going to have to go to Queens to Queens. - Go to Queens, yeah. - And that's literally what you had a fucking proxy go and drag him out of his room. - You know what I feel like? I feel like John Goodman and that like FBI and Don Cheetle at the end of flight. When they, when they walk in and they see that Denzel Washington has gotten into the minibar and is like covered in blood and is all fucked up and he's got to testify about the plane thing in like a couple of hours. So as a group, they all come together and they get a bunch of cocaine and they fucking zap him back to life and bring him around. Like that's how I feel getting you to the podcast on Monday. - I mean, give him a shot, give him some adrenaline right to the neck. - The one thing, so like I was annoyed because I was already on the 7am flight, that was delayed. But then you got in my head bad because then you texted - And I succeeded because that's what I wanted to do. - You were like, you were like, you know, a lot of those flights will go early. - Yeah. - And then I was just in bed like fine. - I needed you, I needed you to go to the airport. - Which I did. - Which to try. - I went so early, bro. Like the possibility of the plane leaving without me. Why not like like, okay, smoked trout, I guess is good. Why not just smoked salmon? Everyone eats smoked salmon. It's like a universal breakfast. Harry, you're telling me that the fisherman and you doesn't am out. Of course, I wanted to have it. Trout is great. Yes, it was and it was good. And they had a little horse radish on it too. Oh my God. It was like a little, let's feel like I was eating some shrimp cocktail. Good guy. Yeah, trouts like small batch. You know what I mean? Like a salmon, that's, that's feeding like three planes. To see how that is true. That is true. So they got the almond pancakes. So they just have a salmon just sitting in the fucking refrigerator. Like one of those hams that you had just coming off each and a beer and a beer and salmon. Samona beer. So you get home and now you're here and we've just been kind of waiting all day. Yeah. It's amazing how much I've done today. No, I believe what have you done? It's amazing how little I've done today. And I do, like, you are right to an extent, but I do think it sucks the most because I think two of the guys on our team, specifically, like really, like, gave it everything they had even going into the tournament. Like, uh, Byron, like, pro loot, the one, like the, the one we call the face. Like he's, like his worth work ethic is like not, like he is, he tries harder than anyone I've ever seen. At almost anything, like he wants to make it so fucking bad. And it sucks because it's like, bro, like how many times are you going to watch your friends, like, cost you, like, like ruin your chances for you? Like it is those other two guys don't care. They don't care. They don't give a fuck. So you need to get rid of them. Oh, they're gone. They're gone. And you know what? I think we need to go farther than that. I think we need to embarrass them.
