Lightning Even Series 2-2, Bucs Fills Needs in NFL Draft & Rays Sweep the Twins

The Tampa Bay Lightning overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat Montreal 3-2, evening their playoff series at 2-2. A clean hit by Max Crozier on Slafkovsky energized the team, leading to goals from Gensel, Hagel, and Kuch (off Hagel’s assist). Vasilevskiy’s goaltending was crucial, and Hagel continued his hot streak with a goal in his fourth straight playoff game. The series is now a best-of-three, with home ice advantage returning to Tampa. In the NFL draft, the Buccaneers selected edge rusher Ruben Bain Jr. at No. 15, linebacker Josiah Trotter in Round 2, and other picks including wide receiver Ted Hurst, defensive back Kianta Scott, defensive tackle Demonti K part, guard Billy Strath, and tight end Bauer Sharp. The draft addressed all key team needs, including edge rusher, linebacker, wide receiver, defensive back, defensive tackle, guard, and tight end. The Lightning’s comeback win was highlighted as a defining moment, while the Buccaneers’ draft was praised for its depth and potential long-term impact.

[MUSIC] >> Wow, what a busy weekend here in Tampa Bay. Of course, we had the NFL draft, the race swept the twins. But let's start with the comeback in Montreal by the Tampa Bay Lightning down two to nothing with about a minute or so to go in the second period. And they come all the way back and win three to two to even that series up at two to. So it's a best of three. Game four, man, it really turned Steve, I guess, in a sense on Max Crosier's clean hit on some Loskey right around center ice. >> Yeah, and to be honest, the lightning were probably out playing Montreal, but Montreal got some breaks. The bulldoot goal was kind of lucky. But he charged the net, was able to hold off Darren Radish and as he makes a say, but it kind of goes off his body and into the net. So you know, he made a play, Kudos to him. They got a power play goal again. Of course, the lightning need to stay out of the power play. >> Right. >> They were better. I mean, Montreux won for six tonight. So it was much better than they've been doing in the playoffs. But still, you can't give Montreal six power plays. But yeah, so in the second period, so for the first time, the Canadians take a two goal lead to nothing. It's the first time in the series a team has led by two goals. And we're in game four. >> I don't realize. >> How tight that series? Of course, the first three games all went to overtime. So they take a lead, a two goal lead, then Crozier hits Sloughkowski right in the neutral zone. I mean, blew him up. He had his head down with the puck, clean hit. One, you don't see much anymore. And I don't think he was expecting Crozier to be that part of the ice with his head down. But a clean hit kind of sparked the bench. You saw the bench went nuts. And it kind of lit a fire under them. I got a power play that didn't score on it, but had a lot of positive momentum. And then eventually with just under a minute to go in the second period, Gensel gets the goal. And instead of going down to the third period to nothing, you're down to one. And you've got the momentum. And that hit fired everything up. And then you get a power play in the first minute of the period. And so at 140, Hagle scores, and now it's 2-2. Now it's a whole new game. And then eventually Kuch puts a shot on net, goes off Hagle, just under five minutes to go, and the lightning win at 3-2. Even the series come back to Tampa. Now you have home ice back again, the best of three series. Wednesday nights, game five, Friday night will be game six in Montreal. And the game seven if necessary in Tampa on Sunday. Yeah, well, it wasn't a must win, but let's be honest, man, you're not going to win three out of four. You know what I mean? If you lose that game and for them to come out of that hole to nothing. And I got down to the bell center, man. There's no joke up there. I mean, I got 21,000 people going crazy. I believe it's the biggest ranked in the NHL. It is. And I think there might have been another 10,000 outside going just as crazy. So that atmosphere is not, you know, friendly to the visiting team anyway. And I don't know, just kind of watching Cooper on the sidelines. I don't think he necessarily agreed with many or say any of the whistles that they were getting. And the calls, but then they dug themselves out. You know, the one that was pretty weak was the Gensel one. Yeah. Yeah. Where he tapped, Dobish, didn't use the bad part of the stick plate, all that stuff. And they gave a power and they scored on that power play. Right. Right. And that's what gave them the two goal lead. And you're like, oh, no. Like, yeah. It just, they've had a lot of sticks and a lot of things that just kind of got in the way, you know, in their way. But, um, but they overcame their penalties. They, you know, they, and I thought to, you know, the lightning for a period there had a five on three. And then the power play they didn't score on. And that gave Montreal all kinds of momentum. Yep. And then to have to essentially finish the game in the penalty kill. Really? Yeah. They took a late penalty as well. So then it was six on four for, for all but about 20 seconds. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, they, that's, that's a hard fought, you know, big time win on the road under pressure. With everything really on the line, they showed a lot of character. And let's just say it, Andre Vasleski, my goodness. I know they only had him stopping 18 shots. It sure felt like a lot more than that. Well, a lot of them are really good shots. Yeah. Right. And the lightning have, you know, five on five have controlled play in this series. I know. If they could just stay out of the penalty box, man, they'd be great. Like, I mean, if they, if they could stay out of the penalty box, which, look, most of the penalties have been legit. They can't complain, you know, high sticks to the face that happen. Like, you know, what are you going to argue about? But if it wasn't for the Montreal Powerplay, it might be a sweep for Tampa. That's true. Yeah. I think they're better five on five. Oh, absolutely. They have, because Montreal basically has one line. Right. You know, and they're not doing much five on five. Because, you know, the lightning you're containing them. But on the power play, they are. Right. Well, I'm like, the best of three series going forward. They got it. They did what they had to do. They had to win at least one game up there. Now they got home ice in their side again. And it is. It's the, it's the best of three. And then the game will be down here Wednesday night. Yeah. Wednesday for game five Fridays in Montreal for game six Sunday home for game seven. Yeah. Yeah. So this could go six or seven. I mean, you know, who's to say, but they got a hold serve at home. And you certainly felt better about the way they, they dug deep and got that game. They really did that, that was, that's one of those. I don't know how far they're going to go if they win this series. But if they win this series and they go anywhere, you're going to look back at that game. You know, that's one of those come from behind defining moments, you know, of a series of a, of a playoff series or maybe multiple playoff series that. That was huge. And, you know, they, I mean, they're getting play from everybody. You mentioned Kutcher off. He put one right on Hagel's tape, which was a great, great play by him. But how about Brendan Hagel, man? But this guy just being, I mean, that's, that leads the NHL. I'm sure, right? Yes, it does. Yep. And it's, he's the only, the third lightning player to have goals in four straight games to start a postseason. Wow. Joining Stamco's in the Cavalier. Right. Uh, so Hagel's got six goals at least the NHL. Gensel's got six assists. That leads the NHL this postseason. Huh. And, but and Hagel tonight led the lightning and ice time. Yeah. I mean, he's, that's really, you rarely see that for a forward. Usually it's a defenseman. He's out there on the penalty, penalty kill. He's out there sometimes, I think, on the power. I mean, he's just, he's showing up in every, every big situation and, um, and just playing great. And I think Vastleski really, and this, this was his game too, you know, you could tell by the reaction of, you know, the kill off penalties, especially at the end of a game like that. Mm-hmm. And then they even, you know, pulled the gold tender and gave themselves a man advantage on top of it. So yeah, just, just a, just a great, I can't remember when I've seen them, when a playoff game on the road like that in those circumstances coming back from 2-0 in kind of a must, must win game, you know, in a sense. Um, that was gut check time, man. That was really, really special. Yeah, they've had some series like Detroit, you know, decade ago, like 15. Oh, yeah, going back that far. Sure. Yeah, they were down, you know, I mean, they've had some of these over the years. Mm-hmm. Um, but yeah, if they win this series, that, that moment kind of, I don't want to say turn in the series because it was 2-1 with three overtime games. Yeah. You know, but it, it really turned momentum in game 4 to get it 2-2 instead of being down 3-1. Right. So if they go on to win, it's going to be a huge moment. And, and kudos to a guy who during the Olympics, it was a core surgery came back and played one game, the last game of the regular season against the Rangers. Then was a healthy scratch for the first 3 playoff games and comes in tonight and does that. Like kudos to him. Yeah, man. I mean, talk about showing up when you really need them without, without much runway. And now, I mean, if, will they have a decision to make if they get some more guys back? Are you supposed to get anybody got back? Well, desk 2 is now considered day to day. Okay. And they have an extra day off so that, you know, they'll have an off day today, they'll practice on Tuesday. Right. And then the game Wednesday. The, you know, you're based on when Cooper said, you know, he wasn't going to play game four, but he's now day to day, you're thinking game fives are real possibility. Right. Presumably, it would have been Carlisle or Crosor coming out and it may still be if he comes back. But now do you, do you let Crosor play another game? You, or maybe you sit to stew one more game, just let him, you know, get two extra days. Don't know. It'll be an interesting decision if to stew is ready to come back. Yeah, no, they, they put themselves in a great position. If you're able to get some players, when you really need them, that's going to be big time. So great win by the lightning. Yeah. It'll be interesting to see if, was it Evans who had the hit on a coach that threw him into the boards late, that they initially says the major changed it to a minor. I don't think he'll get supplemental discipline, but I thought that should have been a major. That's a needless play, a dirty play. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if it warrants a suspension worth, but I thought it deserved a major at the time. How soon would they determine something like that? today or tomorrow. I mean, you know, they usually try to do it the next day, you know, definitely before the next game. So, but I don't think he'll get supplemental discipline. If they on the ice, they turned it from a major to a minor, but we'll see. The playoffs is a higher standard for that too. I would hope. Yeah. You know, I'm going to start taking you guys off the ice. I mean, it's going to be a pretty high standard to do that. Well, excited about them. It's going to be a great atmosphere. Certainly at benchmark when they when they come back here Wednesday night. I don't know, man. My daughter wants to go. Do I do it? Sorry, all you lighting fans, the records not good. I have to watch that one on TV. I don't know. Just send her and, you know, you know, in her. And you know, you don't need to go. True. I could be the kiss of death. There's no doubt about that. Okay. Well, we'll get to the Tampa Bay, Buckeneers and their draft. We also got the race sweeping the twins. First, I wanted to let you know that I made my way down to Brightening, Poo Tick on on Sunday before the game. No less. Having to be in the mall and decided, you know what? Let me go over here and hit up the Brightening folks and was kind of glad I did to be honest with you because at the end of the day turns out they have not won not to but three different types of NFL team watches who knew not me been doing this for a while. But they're all spectacular in their own right. Some is low as $4,500. You have the endurance pros, the endurance pros. They're all titanium, the cronomats that we talk about. Those are the beautiful watches. So these are team watches. They've got the logo and the team colors on the face of the watch in many cases. One has the team logo on the back of the watch, which what that was interesting. For those of you that just, you know, want to kind of be subtle about about that sort of thing. So yeah, man, I mean, one has a date wheel. I mean, they're all kind of different, but they're all actually cool. Staying this deal of bands. You know, secondary hands on the cronomat. It's just their spectacular. So get on down there. Also check out the watches for your wife, your girlfriend, sports watches. These are durable, absolutely beautiful. Different kinds of wristbands that she can choose from. It's Brightening boutique international plaza mall. Sets a center mall second floor, gonna love the customer service. I was there talking to them about the various watches that they have. Please let them know. And I told them that, you know, we endorse this on our podcast that you heard about it right here on sports day Tampa Bay. All right. Well, it was quite an NFL draft for the Buckeneers and I have always said this and then I will maintain it. My experiences that when you get the first pick right first round pick in this case. When you get that correct, it feels like everything else kind of flows pretty well from there. And of course, the bucks were still pinching themselves, you know, as late as like, I don't know, Saturday, when they were draft wrapped up that they had the good fortune of seeing Ruben Bane Jr. there at number 15. They really did not expect that. He is arguably no worse than the second, maybe the first best all around past Russia, but more than that, you know, he's kind of a bully in there. He can play the run. Who knows why he dropped. I think I think there's some concern, even though everybody tells us that, you know, this case has been resolved, but he was involved in an accident in 2024 where somebody lost their life. He was never eventually all the charges were dropped. And the young lady, it was a fatal accident. Young lady died. You know, whether that even though it came out a week or so before the draft, whether teams were comfortable with that or not, I really don't know. You'd have to talk to all of them. I think that, you know, that could have been a factor. Also, maybe, you know, the get into the arm length and the hand hand small hands and all that sort of thing. All I know is if you put on the tape. You can see this guy just manhandles people. So they were shocked quite frankly that he was still there at 15. So when they got that done on Thursday. And then with number two. The second round pick, they took Josiah Trotter, the linebacker from Missouri. Of course, you know, he's the son, one of the sons of Jeremiah Trotter who played for the Eagles from those many years and also played one season in Tampa. In fact, Jeremiah was about 18 to two, 18 months to two years old and he lived here. One year in Tampa. And you know, his brother now is with the Philadelphia Eagles, his dad's old team. Now he's with his dad's other old team in the Buckingeers. Josiah is. This guy is interesting because, you know, we're used to seeing that, you know, the buck said they wanted to get bigger. And this guy is pushing a little closer to 240 kind of an old school linebacker down hill plays the run. The only thing I would say is, and you know, Mike called well, who's the bucks inside linebackers coach was a teammate of Trotters. So now you're starting to see what I see, right. There's a familiarity there. They've known the kids for a long time, whatever. He only played a couple years of college football, though. What's interesting is that their first two picks are both 21 years old. And I think that can be a really good thing, right, because you feel like, well, if they're players and there's a big upside for a 21 year old and you get to the fifth year. And you go and give them a new contract. There's still only only 26 years old at that point, right. 2526 when you when you when you re up it. So those are good things. But let's be careful here. Because I know there's always a temptation to compare this and that. But like, this is not more in sap and Derek Brooks. Okay. Like I heard a lot of people are well. However, they could have a sap and Brooks ish impact on the defense in that you got one guy on each layer, you know, the first two layers at least. And, you know, they're going to be here for a while. They're both impactful players drafted high. So working together, if you forecast it over the next five years, those two could be the face of this defense going forward. So I really thought that those two picks in particular. And we'll see about Trotter. I, you know, I thought what they were deficient in was coverage. And I really don't think they improved that all that much. Although, you know, Alex, and Zaloni is is a little bit better than what they've had in some instances. But I absolutely expect Trotter to come in here and start, you know, as along with Bane. And you know, and then the rest of the days. And I'll just round them through these when we can talk about it in a minute, but like round three they take a kid out of Georgia state Ted Hurst wide receiver at pick number 84. This is a big X receiver. They don't have a true X, which is what Mike Evans was. You got a lot of guys that can play out of the slot play the Z and the Y and the F and all that. But this guy is the true X receiver big and really fast. He can high point the ball is going to help him in the red zone. I think he's going to play a lot even though they have a very crowded receiver room. They have room for this guy. And he stayed at Georgia state. He could have left after a year. So he's putting up big numbers and he had a chance with NIL and whatnot. His mom told him don't worry about the money. He's not always about the money. And so he didn't. And now he's going to be in pretty good money as their third round pick. And then in round four they went back to the you back to Miami and got Kianta Scott who's a defensive back. And Scott's a guy I think I think is probably going to battle for a starting job or you know, at least be that nickel corner in the slot that that they really need. And so that means that someone like Jacob Parrish who played there last year is going to be really. Get a good chance and a good look at playing outside. If you can beat out Benjamin Morrison being a starting corner out there. And then from there, Demonti K part defense tackle Clemson. Billy Strath and offensive guard from Notre Dame and Bauer Sharp. They finally pick up their tight end from LSU. He's actually been to three schools. A lot of these guys went to multiple schools. And he was in round six. They traded the around seven picked to get an extra fifth. So all in all needs every single need they needed, which is redundant, but check, check and check. Right. You had to have You know an edge rusher. Bane. You had to have an inside linebacker trotter. You needed somebody to play that true exposition that replaced Mike Evans positionally at least. You know, you got her. Another DB because frankly Benjamin Morrison didn't really show up after they drafted him the second round last year and you lost your Mel Dean. So they got can't they Scott. You know, you lost Logan Hall. They needed a defensive tackle. They got K part. You know, you were a little deficient at the guard position when you got some guys hurt. You were really reaching serve for some veterans. Maybe not all that talented, but you got Billy Schroff coming back and then they needed another tight end, even though they resigned K dot and they just don't have a lot of depth. And this is a guy they can, you know, is sort of a complete tight and he's in line blocker can receive. He's almost. He's a quarterback in college in this first year. And bounced around, you know, from southeastern Louisiana to One year at Oklahoma and then in back to LSU, so He's well traveled, but a really good athlete and a guy that can play H back or even a wildcat quarterback if you need him to So yeah, man, I think we're gonna look back on this draft Steve and I think we're gonna say not only did they get what they needed but this one Could potentially start to rebuild that defense it really could and I think those those guys in the first three rounds are gonna pay off right away That's definitely the you know the impression you get and look you didn't think BAME was gonna be there 15 to get him. That's a steal You know, Hurst the receiver. I'm not sure how polished will be year one based on the competition He played a lot of it, but this is not necessarily a they don't need him Grant they didn't think they needed a buka as much as they did last year either as far as you know Also, have to be a wide receiver one part of the season But like you're not expecting Hurst to have to come in and play a ton of snaps every game like right I don't have to run the passing game through him like I did Mike Evans But I but I got a true ex receiver now a guy that can play outside on the boundary. Yeah tons of potential You know based on the level competition you play in college. There's some questions there sure You know and but like you said you don't need him to come in and be an impact wide receiver one or two right away No, like you got a big room You know you can use him this year for sure, but you know, you're not you're not relying on it It's not like we had a huge need at receiver right you know, I'm not sure receiver was necessarily what they were looking to take at that spot in the draft but Because he was available. I think it was one of those. He's the best guy on our board Let's go ahead and do that Right and it really wasn't a reach like just listen to the draft next half of the pick they were saying No, this guy's a really great athlete like he's a he's a solid player in the third room Yeah, that's why I don't you know going in if you just said receiver in the third round. I'm a Okay, but seeing you know the tape on him and seeing what other tapes about him and you know the potential for him You know and it's a position you don't need to make a major impact right away so you can You know bring him along as he's you know ready and fit You know, it's I think that's a good pick Yeah, with these lower level guys that play like Georgia state and he had a chance He's he mentioned to us, you know, he could go into some major schools after his early years there at Georgia state and his mom told him You know not to chase the money the money will be there now it's going to be but What you want to see when you're playing in the Sunbelt or whatever conference are in You want to see somebody dominate and he dominated like you know Over two years he had almost two thousand yards of receiving and a lot of touchdowns in big place You know down the field run after the catch huge catching radius He's six four about two two twelve two foot thirteen something like that um and You know so And he's exactly what they need Yeah, I mean defensively to be able to pick up you know a game-changing edge rusher who also is versatile enough Excuse me to move inside if he needs to and he he's not what I like about him in scott is that you know We talked about it before is just like These guys come out in the NFL from college and and they might Be a good edge in college, but they just they pretty much are doing off of athleticism and speed and get off and outside rush And then they get up here and they they're running to a bunch of grown men that have seen it all before and you've got to be able to have a counter move You got to be able to go speed to power power to speed all that stuff and and just you know the way that being Really plays with this strength And his ability to get up blocks and the way he plays the run as well, you know a lot of guys Come up here. There might be a little light and you run the ball down their throats They don't like it and that slows them down Bane is a guy that can make plays in the run game too. So I really like him. I'm in a little skeptical about trotter in the sense that You know, he's a bigger linebacker. I know they wanted to get bigger Coverage has not been necessarily what he's known for So we'll have to see if he can do that or if they'll exploit it against him But he's kind of a throwback in a way not unlike his dad which was just a You know a big bully in the middle of the defense for Philadelphia, but You know you see the game has has become You know such a game with space and and having to cover the flat and do these things against great athletes That you can get out athleteed, which is what happened last year. I think trotters a great athlete But he's a bigger dude. He's a bigger body and I think from a blitzing standpoint He's gonna be phenomenal. You know he does a good job with that And yeah, all the other guys. I mean, I like I like an attribute and that's what you just want an attribute or two from the rest of them that You can utilize somewhere so I I these these these drafts are hard to judge until you get about three years out But I'm willing to say that this is one of the better drafts that Jason Light ever had and the reason is because They got very fortunate to see Bane Jr. sitting there at number 15 for whatever reason And maybe there's some bad reasons he was there Well, find out, but I do think that you know, he's scary quiet. I you know, I talked to his high school coach um And the kids always been special, you know, he played two-time state championship team at Miami Central Wanda starting before his freshman year was over like he's been He's that dude. He's been that way. He's all football. He's he's got no other hobbies And I think he's some amateur photographer. Maybe a little bit, but Basically, it's it's football 24/7. You don't have to tell him to get there early. You don't have to tell him to stay late He just gets it. He's just all ball So like that about him. I think they had a good draft and I'll be surprised if these rookies especially on defense don't start to You know to raise the bar a little bit because I think now they have a much bigger upside defensively and that's what they're gonna need because you know You just can't be what they were a year ago, you know, you have to stop some people Um, okay, so meanwhile your Tampa Bay raise had another sweep this time of the twins who aren't very good By the way, but I like the rate the way the razor plan if you take out their one in five record against the raise They have a winning record. Yeah, that's true. That's true. That is raised dominated them in the series and By the way, we just crowned the raise AL champs now Right, but they only lost one game. They're 11 and one against the AL not grand at their five and 10 against the Inno Central so we don't want to play them in the world series, but no true Now listen um, you want to take care of home. That's for sure and uh, they've now at a high water market what five games over 500 I think Four or five yeah, there's 16 11. Yes. Yeah five games over so five games over 500 Which is a high water mark for them you start You know if you find yourself 10 games over 500 consistently or better You're gonna have a pretty good year. You have a really good year, you know, you're gonna make the playoffs so um You know, they they they they've had to juggle their ball panel a bit they went with an opener You know on on Sunday. Yeah, they made a trade for reliever - made a trade for one. Yeah um, but but uh You know, it's it's it's sort of coming together I mean they have enough speed at the top of the lineup with Chandler Simpson Um, they're getting some big timely hits from Jonathan oranda Yandhi stepping up now it clean up and hitting a few balls over the fence and You know if they can shore up the defense a little bit junior Kim and arrow on Saturday hit it hit one of the batter's eye Over the batter's eye 450 foot shot. I mean this thing was you know, it was it was a pitch that was in his eyes I mean he can talk about a quick bat now Just to get on top of his if he saw his swing at top golf the other day on the off day I did not he crushed it I bet a little happy Gilmore style not quite but like run up and swung It didn't really run up, but he was kind of back and then stepped into it kind of like a baseball swing but crushed it so I mean the bad speed is crazy. I can't imagine what the golf swing speed is But uh, yeah, he's a big boy and uh when he gets a hold of it man It goes so He's off to a nice start Nothing there's nothing to dislike about your Tampa Bay team right now. It's not Tampa Brady just yet, you know, we only have the The goat coming in here and putting his very dust on everything but Man you suddenly you like the lightning's chances if they can just hold serve and win a game at home Win the next game at home really that's the one you got to get this is usually in these series. I mean game five is the thing right Well, yeah, I mean, you know you like to take a three two lead So I mean, you know three two means, you know, yeah, we went out of it at a margin of error if you're down three two you don't have a margin Right exactly you got one one out of two And one of those are gonna be at home if you're you know lucky enough to get to game seven But it would be who've them to uh to take care of business and maybe they got a little momentum now, you know The way they won that game in Montreal Coming from behind and um those those are hard to do in the postseason Anything else in the in the hockey world the playoff world surprise you yet surprise we take now I mean well, but the two best teams in the the east and the west Colorado and Carolina both swept yeah not surprising really Um Buffalo's up three one You know the really you know as a you know a fan of a team of the playoff team you want everyone else to go to seven games. You don't want sweeps Right, you don't want to get the rest. Yeah, you don't want, you know, Buffalo could, you know, I think they play tonight. They could wrap that series up tonight. Yeah, it's tonight or tomorrow. I don't remember which night they play. But and who's then that would be that would be the lightning's next opponent. Buffalo is the next series if they win. Yeah, Buffalo or Boston, whoever wants that series, Buffalo is up three games to one. Yeah, feel pretty good about that. Yeah. That won't be easy. It'll be definitely a step up in in the class. Yeah. But um, but man, Montreal, Marty's got him playing really, really well. They're a good team. And they're a young team. I think they're the youngest team in the playoffs. They are. Yep. But you're right. They've shut down their biggest line. And I think that's been the difference. And it's just the confidence you're going to get. I mean, they come home with some wind at their back, you know, I mean, that was a statement came there. They were resilient. It was fun to watch. It's a good game to watch. So we're talking about Tampa Bay teams. Don't forget the Rautys are still undefeated. The Rautys are still undefeated. How about that? They're the only team in the USL to not lose a game. They've had two ties, but right. No, that's outstanding. That's outstanding. I did see where the Tampa Bay Sun were eliminated from their playoffs picture, but that's another story. Um, but yeah, you can't win every year. I mean, in one last year or so, that's true. But no, no, no boat parade this year for you. You'd like to get in the playoffs. That'd be nice. Um, but no, yeah, it's, uh, I don't know. It's starting to feel a little champ of bass around here a little bit suddenly. I don't know. I don't know how good the bucks are going to be. I truly don't. I do know they play in the NFC South. We'll take a look at what some of the other NC South teams did in the draft. They all got better. Okay, let's be honest. Everybody, everybody gets an A. Everybody thinks they've, you know, changed everybody's winning the Super Bowl. I mean, they just drafted, you know, seven Hall of Famers. Absolutely. No question about it. And I think that, you know, you're going to read this stuff and with his Carolina or and Lan or anywhere else. I still would say that, um, one of my favorite things to do, um, during and after the draft is look at all these videos of these guys getting picked in the, in the, the celebrations at home, particularly the ones that are at home. The second day, man, I, it's just, I get goosebumps every time. I can't imagine having a son or a brother or somebody that, you know, gets selected to the National Football League draft and gets that phone call and it's life changing, you know, and everybody's there and it's just such a cool moment. Now, I think we could work on the banal conversation on the other end of the phone because it's kind of reduced itself to, Hey, Johnny, how's it going, man? Yeah. Well, what you doing? Love that question. What you doing? What are we doing? What do you think I'm doing, man? I'm watching the draft, dude. I'm waiting for you to call me, you know? Yeah. Okay. Well, that's good. Your family's air. Yeah. Okay. Well, we're, I just like to come and, you know, and be in Atlanta, a fock on where about, we're about to pick you right here. Oh, well, unless you're that receiver that the Eagles took, oh, it was on the phone with the Steelers saying, Hey, we're going to take you and say, Hey, why is Philly calling? Yeah, hey, because they just jumped ahead of that team that's calling. Yeah. That was whoops. Yeah. That was funny. Yeah, yeah, I'm going to hang up with you. I'm going to go with these guys. Yeah, that one was a little, that's unique. But they're all, you know, they're all funny and then, and then they got the hats laid out in front of them, you know, and then you got to hear the TV announcement and everybody loses their minds and it's, it's just kind of great. Well, we sure lack what you did, you know, in the way you play, man, you're, you're a buck in here and, you know, I'm going to give you the coach. Coach, hey, how's it going? Good. Hey, man, congratulations. Uh, you know, just come up here and do exactly what you've been doing in college. You'll be fine. Well, that's not true. Okay. First and foremost, it's going to be a lot harder than that. But okay. Um, you know, it just kind of, it's funny to me. It's, but, but the part of the, of the whole moment that gets me is just like that family, right? When, when you hang up that phone, everybody just loses their mind. And it's just so cool. I can't, cannot imagine what, what a lation that much speaks. So a lot of guys got drafted and they're all going to the pro bowl and they're all in super full teams for now. Um, the box, I have their mini camp a week from, uh, this week, I guess, I don't know, I love the date in front of me, but it won't be immediately after the draft this week after that. Um, I did see where the lions aren't having a rookie mini camp at all. They're kind of reinventing the wheel. They're going to spend their time differently. So we'll see how that works out. But, um, pretty busy weekend in sports, for sure. Um, we'll catch you all up on what's going on. We have mail back questions that still come in from time to time.
