Liars & Cheaters w/ Carly Aquilino!

The podcast episode blends humor and personal anecdotes with product promotions. Hosts share a memorable story about a man who asked them out on a date after seeing a clip, only to be exposed as lying about not having Instagram, revealing a pattern of deception and leading to a humorous confrontation. The conversation expands to include nostalgic memories of meeting famous figures like Mick Foley and Billy Joel, and a funny family story about being named after a soap opera character. Hosts also reflect on everyday life, such as family traditions, vacation trips to Barcelona, and parenting dynamics. The episode promotes several brands: Brunt boots for durability and comfort, Helix mattresses for superior sleep, Chime banking for fee-free services, and a Netflix-themed event in Dallas. Light-hearted advice on party etiquette is shared, emphasizing that guests should bring simple, easy-to-consume items like a dip or dessert rather than risky or complicated offerings. The tone remains playful, insightful, and grounded in real-life experiences, making the content both entertaining and relatable for listeners.

doctor woodside queen yeah it's a walk-up or something yeah going on here get an elevator someone cooking in the kitchen you're like why is this a house it's so weird it smells like potatoes if this guy hadn't said he didn't have insurance and he asked for the number i would have still given him my number but you gotta i was like he had he had a jeep and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and he was like i'm gonna give him my number and guys yeah and he had dental this guy's listening right now realizing where he's a jeep wrangler or a jeep suv a jeep like a liberty folly used to have a liberty a jeep's a jeep first of all i had a latitude okay oh you had a latitude okay that's a little that's pretty rare no sass to it a liberty is something that a female gym teacher should be driving i feel like a lot of my a lot of people i went to high school with like the girls got the liberty because the liberty had the big sunroof right it was like a convertible sunflower like put on the dashboard probably comes with eyelashes on the front lights as you're going around the corner he's got dental though my boyfriend's here he's got eyelashes and he's got dental you understand you understand the show at a level eyelashes on the car is all right that's got to be like i mean that's a personality trait right is that's a mental illness right for a minute yeah i don't know where they thought that was going to go my mom would be like my mom wanted eyelashes on her car so bad guys she talked about it all the time she was like yeah i guess just if anybody wants to get me anything for christmas i guess think of two things a left eyelash and a right eyelash for my car and it was like a minivan it was a green minivan it's got to be a so a beetle it it's got to be a beetle even then it's like we get it you're gonna you have a cute little car it's enough yeah what would you do if like say you're going on a date with somebody and the girl pulls up and she has eyelashes she's a stripper really i don't know i don't think it's stripper vibes no you're not wrong i i think a stripper would have like i always think of like a like from the like a spider like a mitsubishi like eclipse that's my sister really uh-oh yeah but that was a cool car i wanted that car when i was young it was like midnight green oh cool that's a special color yeah she danced at delilah's for a while there you go we called that the stripper wagon okay really see i didn't even know that i didn't even know that this was like an ongoing thing i was 90s high school like hot well there was this um guys there was this like she was like a dancer that lived at my house for a little bit my mom felt bad for her my mom let her live with us she talked about this she was yeah it was a ballet dance her no she was like uh she was like a dance she like danced in like a cage i'll told okay and then more at a club at a club i got you yes she kept her clothes on though well there wasn't a lot of them to begin with yeah there wasn't a lot of them to begin with and she lived at my house for a little bit that's not transactional they're up there as like almost like decoration so right they're like a christmas ornament yes kind of how did your mom know her she was friends with my oldest brother and she had like a very sad background and she was like a very sad background Brown. and she was like, she kind of was like, didn't have anywhere to go. She's a lawyer now, by the way. What? Yeah, she's a lawyer now, but she drove one of those spiders. How old were you? There you go. I was very young. I was about nine and it was- Trying to grasp what was going on. I didn't have a sister. So there was this like cage dancer that lived at my house, guys. Cage dancer. Did they tell you that? Cage dancer is crazy. No, everybody knew. And my mom like went to, because my mom is very supportive and my mom like went to the club one night to like watch her dance in the cage. What? Yeah, and my mom's a lunch lady, by the way. Like just for a living. And it's like, why is the lunch lady at the club? Why is the lunch lady at the club? Do you know what I mean? Oh, because the girl in the cage is like lives with her. Yeah. Wow. But she drove a spider. She drove a spider. Eclipse, whatever it is. A spider was the higher end. I was like, it had the little flavor to it. Hey, you got it like that. You got it like that, you spend a little extra money, you get the spider. Get that cage cash. Yeah. That was the car where you knew somebody was spending too much on the car. You know what I mean? And not enough on everything else. Yeah, they were underwater on the car. Yes. Yeah, I always felt that way with Subaru. Certain Subarus, I'm like, that's inexpensive. The WRX or whatever. When they had all the accessories, I'm like, you don't need the bottom and the top. Like, it's like, why is it so low to the ground? Every time you would be in it, boom, boom. Every bump. Yeah. And then you have the spoiler. Where are we going? We're going to Target. Yeah. It's not that serious. Which you prefer. Because it's Aunt Carly, and we're going to Target to get a Live, Laugh, Love plaque. God, I love Target. I know. I know you do. You like that. What's the broad's name who's got the home line there? You like her? I don't know. Ina Garner. No. Oh, I love Barefoot Contessa. Oh, don't get him. Love her. Wait, back to the- Jeffrey's a lucky man? So the guy- Back to the guy. So the guy, so he asked me out. I'm like, he's driving a Live, right? He does like some type of- Any industry? No, no, no. He's like a mechanic, but he works in like a boiler room. Okay. Mm-hmm. He's like fixing. It seems serious. It's serious to me. That's it, guy. It feels like they're going to be in an explosion. He's got to be smart. But he drives a Liberty. That's weird. Drives a Liberty. Driving a boiler room is driving a Liberty. Doesn't match up. You'll see where this goes. Okay. So he brought up, he's like, I just think it's so weird that I saw this video of you when I was on my way here. And then he asked me for my number. I give him my number. I'm like, oh, send me that video because I hadn't seen it yet. He goes, I don't have Instagram. And I was like, you literally brought up 5,000 times you just saw this on Instagram. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So I know he's lying. And when a person's like, I don't have Instagram, sometimes they don't, but a lot of times it's like, I don't want you to see my Instagram. I don't want you to see my Instagram because my lady's on it. Because I'm driving my girlfriend's Jeep Liberty around. So I went, I said, you just said you saw it on Instagram. What are you talking about? And he said the most seventh grader thing I've ever heard. No, I didn't. He said, I was on my friend's Instagram. Oh, my God. I was on my friend's Instagram. Call my dad. You want to call my dad? I'm holding it for a friend. Who's on their friend's Instagram ever, by the way? I got a lot of friends. I've never handed my phone to one of them and go through my Instagram. Ever. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Even someone being like, can I see your phone for a second? I'm like, that's the most psychotic thing I've ever heard. It's not happening. I don't like it when my wife does it. She'll do it. I'll go after a while. I'll go, what are you looking at? Yeah, totally. Totally. What's going on in there? I'm bad with it. What do you mean? You don't want people looking or you or you like leave your phone out. You don't care. No, he don't want people. No. No, nobody does. I went. I had to get a new phone. Oh, OK. This is maybe like two months ago. I have my phone. It didn't work. It got wet. Didn't work. I bring it into a Verizon and the guy hits me with a number of what the new phone is going to cost. And I'm like, OK. And he's like, hey, just kind of turn in your phone. I was like, yeah, I'm actually going to burn it. But thanks. Even if I wiped it, reset it, deleted it, anything, I'm not turning my phone back over to a technology company. Yeah. I have all my old phones. Oh, a stack. That goes right in the Hudson. Yeah. And I hit the claim wars. But they always say that. Oh, we can sweep your phone. And then they're like, we'll give you like ten dollars off. It's like, I'm just going to keep this one. I don't even care if it's shattered. Two bucks a month. Yeah. Give us your face. What are they doing? Exactly. I don't know. Somebody gets these. I think they might use it for parts or something. But it's like they turn around. Oh, they refurbish it. Yeah. Refurb. They sell it in another country. The Chinese. Yeah. I don't know. I don't trust it. I don't trust it. They sell them in other countries. The weirdest thing about that, getting a new phone is like you go to Verizon and they're like, OK, it's two thousand dollars. And then they're like, we don't have the phones here. Like, you can't have a phone. That's happened to me every time I've gone to get a new one. I go to the Apple store now. Verizon never has the phone in stock. They're like, yeah. I mean, like, what do you sold it to you? But it's going to come in the mail in four days. You're like, what? Like a pink one. No, they don't even have they don't even make cuties anymore. They don't even make cutie phones like they used to. They always have it. Time flies, guys. Yeah. They say we don't have the phones here. No, I don't know what you two are talking about. You're literally a phone store. Can I get a phone? They go, well, what are you looking for? I said, anything newer than this. I had like whatever the 14 I'm looking for. Yeah. Give me the next. It doesn't have to be the newest. I just need something newer. I have never once encountered this in my life. And I said, we don't have seven. Yeah. They don't have the phones in the store. It's like, then why have the store? There you go. To be fair. There you go. I was at. Did you ever have this happen to you? All the time. Yeah. Like, I mean, like all the time you get a new phone, but like, yeah, three or four times in my life. They don't have the color. They don't have the gigabytes or whatever. Yeah. It's like, it's like you're at a footlocker back to school season. I got like a check to battle. No, it's swamp back there. The color never registered with me because I'm putting a case on it. Totally. So maybe I didn't know. I wouldn't expect you to be a case guy. Some people have that energy of like, I don't have a case on my phone. Yeah. You know, it's like when I see that, I'm like, wow, this person doesn't care about it. They're just like, whatever. Just smash it. It's funny you mentioned that. I don't know where my phone is, but I don't have a case on it right now. Wow. Because the case broke. The top of it broke. What's with the phone breaking and the case is breaking? I don't know. Okay. It's one of those heavy duty. She just gave you ant vibes of not believing it. Fair enough. What's going on? I don't know. Okay. Move on. Clearly you're being dishonest to me right now. And it hurts. And we're going to move on. No. Any more questions? It's the case that everybody has. And it's supposed to be like a really good one. What? The week before, I got a new phone also before Foley, and I got that same case. And the next day I went in and turned it in because that case stunk. Really? Yeah. It didn't tell me. It's got the circle on the back. It's a mag safe case? No, but it had the kickstand. Oh, mine's got a kickstand. It's like an easel. The front broke. So I was walking around with an open face phone. A kickstand is crazy. On the phone? Literally. That's crazy. Is that what you got rid of it? It's like a picture frame. Exactly. Wow. Watch my side photo on it. That's cute. I like that. So did you not give him your number? So I had already given him my number. Fuck. And then he said that I don't have an Instagram thing. And then me and my friend went to leave. And I went, he was nice. She's like, yeah. I'm like, he definitely has a girlfriend, right? She's like 1,000%. Like, who pretends that they don't have an Instagram? All they talked about is Instagram. Talked about Instagram for five hours. I can't stress it enough. And yeah, and then that was really it. I found his Instagram in three seconds. I Googled his first. And last name. And it was like, he was like, he was like, it was like his anniversary. The day before. No. He probably knew he was cooked. Yeah. I think he might have texted. And I was just, maybe I didn't answer or whatever. Because what am I going to do? Be like, ask your girlfriend. I'd just rather not answer. That'd be very Aunt Carly of you, though. Yeah. I don't know, tough guy. Yeah. Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you get Tiffany over here? Why didn't you give me Tiffany's number? You're smoking a sale of 100. So I thought that was crazy. I thought that was crazy. And that's like your, that's your. That's your boys. That's no. No. Come on, guys. We don't co-sign that. A lot of good upstanding dirtbags out there. This guy's a two-time in sleazeball. Yeah. I was like, what the heck is going on over here? Thank you for your support, by the way. Yeah. By the way, if you're, if you're on the Patreon. I took a shot. What do you want? If you're on the Patreon, thanks. We forgive you. He took a shot at Aunt Carly. What do you want? By the way, I miss you. No, I'm kidding. By the way, please call. Who was the most famous person you met growing up? This is a new question since you've been gone a long time. Interesting. It doesn't have to be like a huge celebrity. From my town? No, just anybody. It could have been like a radio guy. It could have been just somebody you were like, whoa. Like a met that lived out there or something? Well, there was a, you know who would do this? School assemblies, Mick Foley. What? The wrestler? Yes. What do you mean do the assembly? He would like do like, he would, there would be like assembly and it was like Mick Foley was there. I don't remember exactly what he was doing. I was like, holy shit. That's crazy that there's like a wrestler here. Is he from out there? Can you see if Mick Foley's from out there? I don't know, but he was always in the school. He does a lot of, he's very philanthropic. He does a lot of charity stuff. And so he was always, there was always something going on with him, which I loved. Because I loved wrestling. He's got to be from Long Island. Raised in Long Island. Yeah, there you go. It's a public school in Long Island? Public school. And then I went to. Wait, you loved wrestling as a kid? I did. I have two older brothers. Ah, okay. So I, when it was WWF. Yeah. That was the. That's old. That was the good stuff. Loved it. By the way, I still love Stone Cold Steve Austin. He's my number one. I was trying to get him on a show. Really? He'd be great. You got to ask him about his cats. Why? He's got two cats and they're so cute and he loves them. Do you guys see, do you guys follow him? Poncho and Macho? I don't think I do follow him. I don't follow him. I'm sorry. I don't have Instagram. He's right. Party social media. My friend told me it was good though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. You should check it out. But I would say him and then. That's a good one. Yeah. That's a huge one. Yeah. Your school assembly. That's proper famous. Yeah. That was crazy. Yeah. It was during that time too. Like the 90s. It was crazy. And then I would go to every once in a while to like the Rosie O'Donnell show because my mom knew her. My mom grew up across the street from her. Rosie? Mm-hmm. No way. We were just talking about her. From Rosie. You know that Rosie O'Donnell as a kid, it was so fun and cute. And she, I don't know if she came up with it, but she patented Cutie Patooties. Really? That was her. Cutie Patootie. Hello, Cutie Patootie. Any time a kid was on the show, you have a kid, cutie patootie. Yeah. She made that mainstream. She grew up across the street from my mom. Yeah. My mom drove her to the comedy show that she got discovered at. Now you're a scumbag. That's great. That is Long Island lore. She really owes her a couple bucks. It's like my mom's just been telling the story. Rosie's like, who? But she actually did grow up across the street. She grew up across the street from her and it was fun to go to her show because there was always like toys around. There was like bobble heads. Did you have to go backstage and stuff like that? I met her a couple times. Yeah. That's big. Yeah. That was, I'm trying to think of. That's huge. Yeah. That's actually classy because if my family would have had access to that, they would have abused it to no end. We went a few times. Yeah. I think we went like maybe three or four times, which is like kind of a lot. No. No, it's not. Not compared with a real girl. No, a thousand percent. It's not. Yeah, we'd have been moving in there. I would have been ordering things. It's me. Yeah. Right, right, right. Showing up there without my parents and stuff like that. I'm going to hang out. Yeah. You guys get lunch yet? You're in the green room smoking a cigarette? Yeah. And I think. That's great. Yeah. Billy Joel once I met him. What? At a charity thing. I don't remember. Recently? No, I was like, I was in high school. You met Billy Joel? Yeah. These are big. I love Billy Joel, by the way, which is very Long Island to do. But you guys probably, do you guys like Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen better? I'm Billy. You're Billy all the way. I'm not a Bruce guy. I know there's a Bruce guy. No, I respect the boss, but as far as less fluff, I'm Billy. There's a lot of Bruce Springsteen songs that people are like chanting and singing that I'm like, this is fucking strange. Totally. Billy puts out hits. Yes. Hits. Billy's a hitter. Yes. There's something sinister about him as well. Deep down. Yeah. I feel it. He'll drive into the front of your house. He'll literally crash his car into your front door. He will drive right into your living room. That's how I met him. He keeps flying through the windshield. What the hell, Billy? I told you to not honk. Is that a liberty? You've met a lot of, you know, you've been quite successful. You know, who's the most famous person you met? I mean, Billy Joel's up there, but as an adult. That's the most impressive answer we've ever gotten off that question. Really? We had one president. What are other people saying? Somebody had a president. President. That's cool. Somebody told him to get away from the car or something. Oh, oh. Get away. Get away from my car. No, no. Is that meeting? No, it was Ross Perot. Ross Perot. Presidential candidate. I can't remember who that was. Johnny Pemberton. Johnny Pemberton. It's so funny to be like, I met this guy and he was yelling at me. He yelled at me to get away from the car. Wow. Get away from the car, kid. But who's the most famous person you've met as an adult since you've been famous? I think, I'm trying to think of like who's, I feel like I've met a lot of people where I'm just like, that was crazy. I never met Oprah. I don't know. I met Leo. You met Leo. Leo's cool. What? Yeah. Leo's really cool and chill. Where'd you meet him? He, I went to the after party for the, one of the anniversaries of Saturday Night Live. Really? And he was there and he was cool and chill and normal. Cool and chill and normal. Like so normal, he was like, I'm Leo. Yeah. It's like, no, a thousand percent, I know. Really like cool guy. I am Leo. Yeah. Wow. I'd be using Leonardo. Hi, I'm Leonardo. Totally. DiCaprio. DiCaprio. A new, a new, a new realization. Leonardo like the turtle. Yeah, as foley as Johnny Drama from Entourage. I never saw Entourage. Whoa. You are Queens. Can you explain, can you explain who Johnny Drama is? Do you know Mark Wahlberg? Of course I know Mark Wahlberg. Do you know Donnie Wahlberg? Marky Mark. Yes, of course. Donnie Wahlberg would be the, he's a cartoon version of like, he tries really hard to be cool and famous. Which is an unfair comparison now because he's had a long running stint on Blue Bloods. Very true. Wow. Legitimate. Blue Bloods. Dramatic actor. Freaking love that. Your mom probably loves Blue Bloods. Oh, I'm sure. My mom names me after someone on a soap opera, so I'm sure my mom loved it. What soap opera? General Hospital. Oh God. Your mom still watches General Hospital? She, she watched General Hospital when I, when she was like pregnant with me and she was like, I love this girl. What character? Do you know? Carly. I don't know Carly. You got a picture? I named after her. Yes. Was that the character's name? Well, they switch, they switch, you know, soap operas, they like, they switch the actresses randomly. It's like you love an actress and then it's like a new girl the next day and they don't explain it. Yeah. Fictional character. Yeah. So it would be the person that. It's played by four, wait, one, two, three, four, five, six different people. Holy shit. I've tried to figure out which Carly. What year were you born? 1990. 1990. That doesn't make any sense. She came out in 96. So she lied. Did you? No. Maybe that actress. Yeah. Duration of the character. Really? 1996. It had to have been General Hospital. Oh. She always says it. She might have made it up. Cause I thought it was Carly. Really? I don't know. We're finding this out in real time. I want to call her. Hey. The character. Like I just found out that's like not my real family. Like somebody, my mom like took me at the grocery store and then it's like, just we'll tell her it's from General Hospital. I don't know. You're actually a 60 year old woman from the South. Just make it up. You are probably Aunt Carly. Yeah. You're an older, you're an older Long Island woman. Yeah. Oh my God. First appearance. 1996. What the? Maybe it's a different. It's gotta be a different. Look at the camera. It's gotta be a different Carly on the show. It could be. Well, if this character came out on General Hospital in 96, cause I asked her once. I was like, what is it? Like Carly Simon? She said, no. The girl from General Hospital. From the soap operas. Let me ask you this. Do you remember them calling you by your name from age zero to six? Maybe they didn't name you until you were like six or seven. You wouldn't remember that. It's like a puppy. You're like, I don't know. It'll come to me. They just said, hey you. Oh, you could be Carly Spencer. Ah, Carly Spencer. Guys. Wait, I don't know. Guys. I really hope. I really hope you're Carly Spencer. I hope so too. When was she? When was she there? Was that Heather Thomas? Heather Locklear? No. I feel like soap operas are still popular, but it's the people that were watching them in the 80s. For sure. Really? So am I younger than I thought? My mom forgot what year I was born. Wait, what's this one? Same. 96. It's the same one. What if it was a one off character? That's it. That's it. For one delivery person or something. I just like the vibe. I don't know. She had good spunk to it. I'm losing it. That's crazy. And I've been telling people. this since i found it out i've been like i'm named after the girl from general hospital cut too she wasn't even on the show the girl there's multiple carlies on the show you can't say that's it yeah ellen your time's up time to tell the truth that's your mom's name ellen ellen i love that yeah wow it's a mom name it is a very mom i think i've met like two younger Shout out to you. What's your dad's name? His name's Nat. Shout out, Nat. Thank you, sir. What's that short for? That's just what he is. Well, his first name is Joseph, but he goes by Nat. He always has. Talking about our kind of guy. Yeah. I like that. I'm going by Nat. Don't ask any more questions. Carly, it's Nat. What was the last vacation you went on? The last vacation I went on was to Barcelona. And who are you going there with? I love Barcelona. You're always running around somewhere. That I went for a wedding. Yeah. Loved it. Friends? I love Barcelona. Childhood friends? My cousin was getting married. Oh, to the family. Yeah. And I brought my best friend as my plus one. Wow. Yeah. Did mom and dad go? My mom went. Very nice. My parents just started traveling last year or two years ago, so they're not used to it yet. And I don't know if my dad was like really. Spade. He's not a travel guy. I ain't going to Spain. They want to stay nearby. Yeah. You know? But my mom went. What's in New York in them? Yeah. A lot of those guys I found out, and I have it too. I got to ask my dad about like, you know, they always worry about what if they get sick over there and they got to go to a foreign hospital or something like that. Really? That's what they're worried about. Yeah. Interesting. I got my doctors here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's so funny to like not go on vacation because of that. It's like, what if I get sick? It's like, I don't know. Can you not get sick for one week? But I get that. I get that. Yeah. In a tropical resort. Right. Yeah. I wouldn't want to die in a hospital in another country. I don't know why. Yeah. No, of course. I mean, it's not ideal. It would suck. To be fair. But it's better to like not get sick, but I guess you can't control it. Especially, guys, there's a new bacteria every other day that's killing people. Upper East Side is bad. Riddled. Yeah. What's going on up there? I don't know. That's why I don't go up there. Yep. What are you bringing to the house? Interesting. Well, I would ask. You would ask. Is there anything? What should I bring? And I'd say nothing. If you say nothing, I would bring a nice, if, if you drink, I would bring a nice bottle of alcohol. Maybe a couple of Japanese cigarettes. I think there's like a certain, yeah, a couple of Japanese cigarettes, but I think there's a certain etiquette, right? You don't want to, you don't want to bring something that's going to like put someone out. You don't want to be like, heat this up in your oven. It's like, I already got enough shit going on. You don't want to bring a task. Yeah. It's like, hey, you have to cook this. It's like, what? I didn't ask you to bring. I brought some buffalo dip. I think it's nice to bring a dessert, a dessert or a dip that nobody has to, it doesn't need to be refrigerated. It doesn't need to be cooked. It's fine. Like a little appetizer. Yeah. I make a good dip. What kind of dip? Dirty martini dip. What the heck is even there? It's good. Harley. Yeah. I'll make it next time. I'll bring cigarettes and dip. That's all I got to offer. I don't have dental. You don't have dental still? No, I don't have dental. Dirty martini dip has all the flavors of a classic. It's a cocktail and a creamy dip that's packed with flavors of blue cheese and olives. Perfect for dipping pretzels, crackers, or any of your favorite dippers. I love a dip that goes with a pretzel. I love a pita chip too. It's the best one. You're not wrong. Well, you'll need cream cheese, sour cream, blue cheese, pimento stuffed olives, seasonings. And brine. You need the martini brine in it. You can put a little splash, I guess, if you're getting crazy. No, I don't want to. Okay. Okay, we're moving on. No, I mean. Me neither. That was kind of your idea. Okay, wow. That's a fancy dirt bag dip. Yeah, I love a dip. It's an easy peasy dip. That's nice. Easy peasy one, two, three. We had an etiquette coach on here, and she said something very similar. What'd she say? She said, don't bring, don't assume, like, don't bring something that might clash with the meal. Interesting. If you don't know what it is. See, that would clash with a lot of stuff. No, no, no. That's a party dip. That's a party dip. But that's the beginning. No, yeah, not at all. That's going to be separate. Hey, that's what it says. People are coming. That's the, what, a cocktail hour? Yeah, like a little appetizer. Yeah, appetizer. A little appetizer. They're not serving that with the dinner. No, no, no. Yeah. That's like a little snack beforehand. Yeah. But I think it's easiest to bring dessert. Yeah. Good. What would it be? A little bakery out in Brooklyn? Yeah. I wouldn't bake. I wouldn't bake. I can bake, but I can bake like banana bread. I can make like banana bread. Unless you're really good, I think the days of baking something and bringing it over to someone else's house is gone. It's like, leave it to the bakeries. Yeah. Let's keep those guys in business. Christmas cookies is different. They figured it out. Yeah. Christmas cookies. That's how you're answering. They, let's leave it to the bakeries. Hey, let's leave it to the pros. Okay. Buddy from Cake Boss knows how to do it. Yeah. Shout out to Buddy. Shout out to him. Hmm. If you're ordering, you're at a restaurant and you're ordering from the menu, will you point at the menu? Like, oh, I'll do the chicken parmesan. Or do you have it memorized? And show it? Or not like. Yeah, not like show it, but like. Kevin's the waiter. Okay. He'll do the. Chicken parmesan. Oh, I don't know. I don't think so. Well, do you have it? Maybe I do. Maybe I do. Now that I think about it. I do. Because to just like speak to the person and not like, because I think I would forget. I guess. I would get flustered. Uh-huh. So you have to look. I could be prepared, but I'm like, this is, I would like this, this, and this, but I got to point to it. I got to remind myself what I want because then I forget something. If I don't know how to say it, like if I can't pronounce the word, I'll start, if it's chicken mazzolino or something. Yeah. I'll do the chicken. And just point to it. Yeah. The chicken. Yeah. That or if you go, oh, I'll do whatever. I'll do the chicken mazzolino. Yeah. Right. And they, if they have a backup, I keep it open in case they have a backup question. Totally. With the schmooch, schmooch, schmooch, schmooch, and I got to go, I can, I can reference. No, just with cheese, please. Yeah. Don't panic. No ketchup. No, I don't want it anymore. Never mind. Water's fine for me. Can I have my menu back? I'm scared. I'll do the martini dip. I'll just take the check. Stop freaking out. No, it's like, it is very scary. It is very scary. I got, I got bad anxiety. And they always do have a follow-up question. I never thought about that. They're like, is that what the capers? I'm like, I don't know. You guys are making it. Yeah. Yeah. You tell me, guy. Do you want that with the Romanov sauce, whatever it is? Yeah. Are you prone to mosquito bites? Am I prone to mosquito bites? I'm not one of those people that's like, they love me. You know? You're shumming my blood. I got that sweet blood. That's exactly what I was looking for. My mom, I got some sweet mosquito bites. I love me. I love that. Okay. Oh, God. Would you prefer a mint or gum? Gum. You got a brand? I love gum. I just like all gum. She likes all gum. Big League Chew. If you pulled out a sack of Big League Chew right now. Bubble jug? Oh, those. It was like powder in a jug for some reason. That somehow got there. That was baseball game snacks. I used to love the ones that like, they'd be orange and it would come in like an orange juice carton, a little orange juice carton. Oh, my God. Yes. But it was like little. Tiny gum. Yes. I was a big fan of the little tiny, like the little tiny box of Ritz crackers, a little tiny things. Yeah. Oh, those are the best. They still have those over at Costco. They do? You're doing Costco a lot? I have a membership. You got it. Added to my mom's membership. You got it added to your mom? She added me as a plus one to her membership. I got my own card and everything. You do? I show it when I go to the bar. Hey. Carly Aquilino. Yeah. By the way, I show it at the airport. It's okay. I'm TSA PreCheck and I'm on my mom's Costco membership. She added me as an authorized user. I can actually make changes to the plan. Wholesale? Yeah. Costco wholesale. Thank you. Do you go to the grocery store? Yes. Do you don't order like, what's it like? Like Instacart? Something like that. If it's heavy stuff, I do. Where are you going? You Trader Joe's? I like Trader Joe's. There's like markets and stuff by me that I, it's very rare I like make a special trip for Trader Joe's or whatever. Is this a regimented thing? Do you go every week? Yeah. I go. I try and not go every week. Cause then I end up buying stuff that I don't need. And then I'd rather go like a couple of times a week, but the big stuff I'm guiding drinks or whatever, I get it delivered. Cause I'm like, otherwise I have to Uber. home me walking down soda it's like ew literally disgusting what kind of soda you banging oh diet coke cherry coke what you like you like the cans you're a can girl yeah interesting you're not i'm a dumb a 20 ounce guy the 20 ounces taste funky and they don't get as cold they don't they listen i'll rip a fucking 20 ounce bottle of dc because i like the mean whimsical like she's it is it's a woman's tool box not that i don't know it's very uh fun it's a woman's tool box She's having fun. I'm always having fun. She's always having fun. Yeah, always having fun. Very sharp. Respected. Thank you. Glad you guys are doing okay. Thank you. This is another one to ask when we're talking about food. You went to a wedding, right? And instead of dinner, they had taco stations. How would you feel about that? Discuss. Interesting. I wouldn't mind it. I wouldn't mind it. I'm not picky. And also, I always felt like every time I go to a wedding, I'm like, that's such a waste of money to pay for all this food. Nobody's sitting and eating. Yeah, it's such a- People are moving around and dancing and talking. And it's usually like, anytime a place has to make that many plates, it's not going to be that great. I got to say. I agree. I'd rather it be like a taco. I'd rather, I don't care. Fondue. Do fondue. Maybe fondue was too much? No, he was just talking about fondue. Fondon't, he said. No, I love fondue. Oh, really? Yeah. I would like a cocktail hour. The entire wedding would be nice. That's my favorite stuff because it's picky food. We're big on appetizers as a meal. That's my thing. I say lose the entree altogether. Lose it. Just do it. Two apps. Two apps is good. Fine. No? Two apps and a side. You lost confidence in that. For two people. No, I said it like I was 10 toes and I backed up. Two apps and a side? Two apps and a side. For two people, two apps and a side. Maybe a little salad too. Yes. When you, yeah. Not when you're ordering though. No? You, yeah. When else would you get it? I'm just saying. When you're thinking about it. You'll realize that after. No. We didn't need the entrees. But in that- I think Carly's living a different life than me and you when we're ordering. In that desperate time of this might be the last thing we eat, you got to make sure you're prepared. I like the fun stuff. Little plates. Coconut shrimp. Love coconut shrimp. Of course. Hey, I'm not driving. Coconut shrimp. Keep coming. You're doing a great job, by the way. Anything. To the server. Oh, my God. Yeah. Okay. I do want to push back on that slightly. Okay. Just not the coconut shrimp thing. We're cool on that. The feeling of sitting down with a protein, mashed potatoes, and vegetable is pretty solid. Because I had a chicken marsala at an Irish bar. Shut up the gossip in Hell's Kitchen. Ate at the bar. Chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Nice. It's like good pub food too. Yeah. It's like good pub food. It's like getting a pot pie over there. Yeah. I'm not against it. My mom was cooking it. That makes sense. You can't have mashed potatoes at a wedding, though. My take on the smaller. My take on apps only is if the five of us were going out to fucking Quality Italian or something like that. We go, let's get the cheese board. Let's get this. Let's get that. Let's get that. Because then you do that because they're so much fun. They're such different. Yeah. And you want to try everything. Yeah. Then I go, I'm going to try everything. I also ordered a 14-ounce steak. I don't fucking want that right now. Yeah. Oh, my God. I'm sleeping. That realization when you're going, we didn't even get the food yet. That sucks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we're all full and feel so. That's crazy. Oh, it's the worst because you're just like, I guess put it and we all feel sick for the rest of the night. Yes. That's what I don't like. I was just tested with that not that long ago because I'm on ZepBound, right? Oh, what's that? Weight loss stuff. Oh, wow. Okay. But if you overheat on. I didn't know that one. You know Manjaro? Gotcha. I know Manjaro. Same thing. I know Zempic Manjaro, the other one that I don't hear about anymore. Maybe ZepBound jumped in. Maybe. I don't know which one you're talking about. I don't know. I don't know. I don't have the time. So you're on Zepi? Yes. So I got to that point in the meal where we only ordered a little bit, and if I would have ordered more, I would have got sick. Yeah. Oh, totally. I don't know where I was going with that. Totally. You don't know what to do because it's like, I guess just put it in a box and then just bring it out. You do take. Do you do leftovers? No. Usually not because I'm trying to go. If I'm going out to dinner, I'm usually going out after. I'm not bringing it to the bar. Oh, that's actually. I have that chicken quesadilla. Do you guys have a fridge I could use for 45 minutes? Just for some wings. Do you guys mind? It's like, I'm not bringing that around. The straight to go, though. Straight to go. I've never seen that. Instead of bringing it out on a plate, just bring it out. Yeah, you might as well. If you really don't want to even take one, but it's like. You've never done that? No. No. That's pretty good. It's not really leftovers. If you're on your way home, it's like whatever. It's like takeout then. Yeah. Right. It's a fine line. Put on a Sopranos and watch them. Do you clap on the airplane lands? No. My God, no. I'm not that much of an aunt. You're doing a great job, by the way, as a pilot. You're lucky I didn't step in and start flying this thing on your way out. Yeah, you used to, huh? Oh, God. Those people on the airplane, it's like of all places. Don't do that. On the airplane with the turbulence and doing bits. Sure. It's like we got to take a break. Yeah. You travel. You're very well traveled. You travel pretty. Travel. You're very streamlined, I guess. Are you like. When was Barcelona? Barcelona was last year. I'm going to Korea in a couple weeks. Going to Korea in a couple weeks? North or south? Seoul. Yeah, south. Cool. Imagine north. Can you even go there? No. No. Not unless you're like a photographer or something, right? I don't even think you should go then. Yeah, no. I'm being honest with you. You going there for shows? No. I'm going there with my best friend for her birthday. Nice. Yeah. You like Korean food? Love Korean food. Yeah, it's delicious. Korean barbecue is so good. Just you two are going? Love it. That's crazy. Yeah, for her 40th. Good for you. Yeah, it's going to be fun. I'm getting a whole new face. No, I'm not getting all new face. Is that what they do over there? I'm getting like zapped. Do they do that? I'm getting laser treatments. Yeah. Wait, what? They got all the stuff. They're high end over there. And it's really. It's just the best. Wait, stuff we don't have here? I know what they're doing over there. Yeah. How's that possible? Stuff that's not FDA approved yet here. Because it's all red tape. You got to grease the wheels. Yeah, you got to grease the wheels over here. Over there, you don't got to worry about it, but they're pros. That's like people are doing it. People are going there just to get like. Yeah. You know. It's like when guys go to like. Turkey to get the hair done. Yeah. Is that a shot at me? That doesn't look like a shot at me. No. I have a couple of friends that did it. Yeah, me too. Yeah. Yeah. I would do it. If I did, I would do it in New York. You probably have some of those same friends. I'm not flying to Turkey. Did you ever see. The only thing, the biggest thing I'm afraid of- That fight's a tough look. Is, did you ever see when their heads swell up? Yeah. It's crazy. It's insane. It looks like a cartoon. So, you sit it out for a couple of months and a half. That's if you're like fully bald, I think. That's like if you. It's all skin. Because they have to do. It's a lot more. I don't think you would need. I don't think it would be that. First of all, I don't need any of it, okay? No, I don't think you would need it. Get out of here. But my friend had taken a pill. He was in the waiting room the day after, because you have to do a follow-up appointment after you get the transplant, and he took a picture in the waiting room. It's all these guys looking like they just got lobotomies. It's like bloody- That looks like a Civil War hospital. I would be killing it in six months. A Civil War hospital. Too many bandages? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I'm like, jeez Louise. Did you ever see the flights home from Turkey? Yeah. It's just like a bunch of guys who look like me with swollen ass noodles. A bunch of guys trying to improve themselves. Yeah. Yeah. What's wrong with that? He said- He said, they say on the flight, don't take any pictures, because I guess they're used to it. Yeah, they're so mad. Because everyone's like, yeah, vulnerable. Yeah. You ever have those French candies that come in a little silver tin? You know what I'm talking about? They're hard candies. They're covered in powdered sugar. What's the flavor? Sugar. Yeah, I know what you mean. Yeah. They're fancy. Are they French? I don't know. Are they French? It's not Hershey's. I know that. I want to see. I don't think I know what you're talking about. Did you find them, Luke? Are you thinking about the- Pull them up. How do you spell it? I don't know the brand. Are they like little tangerines? Yeah, it could be. Yeah. They were- R-E-N-D-E. They're little silver round cups. Interesting. Let me see. Because I'm trying to think. I know that there was like one from when I was young that was a special candy. No, I got nothing here. Rendezvous. So R-E-N-D-E. Oh, Rendezvous. Yeah, some shit like that. Yes, I've had those. Of course. Yeah, those are good. Some shit like that. Close enough, dickhead. Yeah. I haven't seen those. I haven't seen those in a while. That's what I'm saying. I wonder if they still make them. I'm sure they do. They're doing very well. Probably very good. But there was always somebody in the class that went to France in the summer and brought them back. Oh, yeah. And then handed them out like they were fucking Adderall. yeah i i didn't uh i didn't go to france when i was young yeah i like wasn't like traveling i was like 26 or something or work like you go with for mtv or whatever yeah to london and then yeah what's your favorite country um besides the united states of freaking america let's go there you go um i'm trying to think i really like japan yeah really i did a uso tour in japan which was cool whoa yeah you're a goddamn patriot you have to fly in a helicopter no i wish delta you have to shoot a tank we were on a bus we were on a bus really yeah we like started in tokyo yeah it was all the like there's so many military bases there because it's so like close to north korea yeah i think that's one of the options over there yeah that was really fun i wish i would have extended my trip longer because it was just like we were working the whole time and bases are very american yeah no matter where you are it's like going to toledo it's like yeah it's like they got a target you know yeah and then we stayed on base that's pretty cool it was like 10 different bases you like a ramen love a ramen love it the fancy ramen too is good you mean oh it's just like not the one in the cup yeah oh you're a dirt bag fancy no i love that i love like cup of noodles sometimes yeah it's a lot of sodium but who cares it's a lot of ramen pretty heavy the packed ramen that's what i thought it was as a kid yeah cup or um oodles and noodles cup of noodles yeah oodles and noodles yeah hmm i mean you know i think i did you how do you i have you have to enjoy well i would assume do you enjoy watching the antiques roadshow love it is it your dream to be on it yeah what do you look at what would you sell i don't know kevin has a mug collection really i don't like like old ones like antique ones no i buy them at starbucks oh okay bringing that to antiques roadshow so these are 20 000 this is a 2025 these are 2012s and then we have 2012 to 2025 she's so supportive but then when she gets in the car she's talking to somebody he thinks he's gonna sell those cups those mugs on antiques roadshow they're not worth the nickel they're not antiques yet he's gonna embarrass the family if he goes on there you got to hold on to him she's a nice kid yeah you got to hold on to him for for a couple more years before they become ants how did you get here today i took an uber yeah uber black or regular regular i think yeah i do what i do whatever like pops i think like uber x right it's the regular one or sometimes i like lyft really yeah i like lyft i don't mind huh depends yeah uber won that war though right i don't know i don't know really oh uber won uber's that guy's on shark tank sometimes the uber guy luke no he was an investor he was an investor the indian yeah no the guy who's always wearing a cowboy shirt the uber guy that's always on shark tank his hair is like lego hair yeah yeah yeah and he has like a bolo tie he always wears a bolo tie is he from texas like what's his deal oh so unlike he's yeah because he's like preaching to people it's like dude mark cuban sitting next to you yeah you know he's got all those teams what does he do mark cuban he's got everything if i was going around to get investors pitching uber i would not let my part would you let me wear a bolo tie in any meeting we ever had right no well he may already he was in early on uber and made like a bajillion maybe he was an early investor yeah i wouldn't bring him to the pitches he's very unlike he's not charming his name's chris maybe he became a bolo tie guy after he got the money that i can say can we find out if he's from texas or anywhere that you would find a cowboy like why is he's talking about yeah he went to georgetown university what's his name chris sacca yeah thanks god i like the name sacca yeah that's a cool good high school quarterback name yeah not a good investor name no no good bolo cash though what'd you say it's a good ball i'm gonna wrap it up this girl's trash what are you talking about guys thank you so much for coming my last question was the french candy so there you go i've been killing time there you go i thought that was the playoff what the heck that is our old friend still garbage but very fantastic carly ecolina carly we love you thanks so much for coming back so excited kippy what do you got for him uh guys we're off the road for a little bit we're working on the special it's going to be dropping soon maybe or maybe not i don't know uh we love you carly you got secret keepers club every week yeah secret keepers club every week it's now on youtube for the last few weeks now on youtube last few weeks yeah youtube.com slash at secret keepers club where it's secret keepers club every week it's now on youtube for the do i have to put the ad no you're i don't know i'm 77 w w w w yeah we love it we'll see you next week

FAQs

No, I don’t have dental insurance. I’ve found that most plans have extremely high deductibles, like seven million dollars, and cover only basic cleanings. For things like root canals, you’re often on your own, which is frustrating and expensive.

I met him at a birthday party where he saw a clip of me on 'Are You Garbage' and asked for my phone number. I gave it to him, but he later claimed he didn’t have Instagram, which seemed suspicious. I discovered he was lying and had a girlfriend who was on Instagram.

He drove a Jeep Liberty. The host jokingly said this was unusual, especially since he worked in a boiler room, and the combination seemed odd and inconsistent with the situation.

My mom grew up across the street from Rosie O'Donnell and took her to a comedy show where she was discovered. She also once met Billy Joel at a charity event, which is a fun Long Island story from the 90s.

You shouldn’t bring something that might clash with the meal or require cooking. It’s better to bring a simple, non-perishable, ready-to-eat item like a dip or dessert that doesn’t require preparation or refrigeration.

Don’t bring anything that might cause a conflict or require effort. Instead, bring a simple, easy-to-eat snack like a dip or dessert that’s ready to serve and won’t take over the meal.
