Hi, Ghosties. I'm Macy and I'm Natalie and a sub that I like to browse occasionally on Reddit is the let's not meet page. I think you've liked that page. I've heard about it, but I've never like dove in. It's filled with stories of close calls or of people you never want to meet or meet again, but there are plenty of paranormal stories that give me that same feeling like that's not me. Let's let's just never encounter each other. So today I'm bringing you several posts of very unusual encounters with something possibly otherworldly that I hope and OP hopes to never meet. So yeah, we're carrying on with our our Reddit stories for the month of august. RT was sent in by one of you guys it's lavender sage lemonade. Yeah, I don't know brand what is old barrel tea company. Yeah, yeah, that's the person that sent us we got like five or six teas from them. Yeah, yeah, I'm excited to try this very excited. We need to start keeping track of who sends what I know because we always say one of you guys, but I know. All right, are you ready? I'm so ready. All right, let's go. It is so good. It is so good also. Oh, yeah, our new teapot. Oh, yeah, we got a new teapot. It's very cute. The old one broke. But no, that tea's really good. It is refreshing. Yeah, and that's what it says on the on the thing. It says thirst quenching herbaceous and bright. And it is. I would agree. The lemonade of it all is actually tastes like lemonade flavor in there. It's not like just lemon. It is specifically that lemonade like tanginess. You know what I mean? Yes, so good. Okay. So our first story comes from our slash ghost stories. It's from one year ago. So I actually wrote that down this time. Thank you. It's called encounter on the L the beautiful woman and the eerie crone. This is a story from my acquaintance, Chris, a pseudonym who says he once saw a ghost. It happened one evening when he living in Chicago was riding the L home from work at one of the stops. A young woman stepped into the L car. She was stunningly beautiful with long slender legs shown off by a short skirt. She moved down the aisle as if searching for an open seat or maybe looking for someone she knew. As Chris was staring at her, practically drooling, the old woman sitting next to him suddenly spoke. You can see her too, can't you? Huh? He looked back at the old woman puzzled, wondering what on earth she meant. Look around you. Does anyone else seem to notice her besides you? He froze. The old woman was right. For someone that beautiful and such a short skirt, no one was looking her way. Not even the teenage boys who should have been at the height of their adolescence gave her a glance. The old woman went on almost as if talking to herself. I'm a pro, so I can see ghosts, but it's rare for someone like you, a regular person to see them too. But she's a nasty one. Maybe she killed herself near here or maybe she was murdered. Either way, she never found peace. And now she wanders. Oh no! Are you a medium? You mean that woman is a ghost? But he said he couldn't help blurting it out. The old woman claimed the young woman was already a ghost, but to him she looked completely alive and beautiful. You've been watching too many movies. That thing is still a ghost, but once it was a woman. Even after death, women want to look their best. Every woman I've ever dealt with has appeared in the most beautiful form she had went alive. But never mind that. She's coming this way. Don't you dare look her in the eye. The young woman seemed to notice them, quickening her steps until she stood right in front of him. At that moment, he felt like his soul would leave his body. He squeezed his eyes shut and kept his head down frozen in place. When the L reached the next station, the old woman finally spoke to him again. It's alright now. Look, she's found her prey and is heading out. As he slowly opened his eyes, he lifted his head. He saw the woman leaving the L with a good-looking man in his twenties. That's just a woman's nature, I suppose. The men they possess have to be young and handsome. The good-looking guy was unlucky, too. I don't think it'll cost him his life, though. Saying this, the old woman fixed her eyes on him, grinned and went on. You're lucky to be alive. Today, I'll give you a special service, free of charge. If this had been an actual job, I'd have at least taken $500. At the station, two stops later, the old woman got off as if nothing had happened, disappearing into the crowd. Chris claims he has never seen a ghost before that day, nor ever since. Why was it only then that he could see that ghost? Even now, he says he doesn't know. Well, she was apparently hunting according to the medium lady. She found her prey, so maybe that's why Chris could see her. She was just looking for a young man of some kind. I don't know, but that is what do you mean her prey? What was she, I don't know, maybe energy-wise looking to cause suffering. Maybe she suffered in life and wanted to cause suffering in death. To people like those who call costs or suffering. Okay, okay, okay, that makes sense. That was my thought. But also would never want to meet the young woman or the old woman ever again. Oh, oh my gosh, no. If someone, well, in general, if someone is very boldly approaching me in public, I'm like, oh god, please don't stop. For one reason or another, I never want to be approached. But if someone were to talk so knowingly, just so confident and like, oh yeah, that's a ghost, where do you go? Do you leave the train next stop? Or I'd be really scared. You sit there and you wait for your stop, I guess, and just like, all right, thanks. Anyway, I don't know. I don't know, but that one spook me. $500 for her services. She must be really good. I know. I would like to know who she is. I don't have $500 to give her, but I'd like to know who she is. At least she gave him a deal. I saved your life. It'll give me your money. All right, our next one is also from our slash ghost stories. At the time that I found it, so a couple weeks ago. It was seven days old. This one was titled, I confirmed this disturbing story with two people, and I still can't explain what happened that night. I'm the kind of person who doesn't believe in paranormal stuff. I usually look for logical explanation first. But this is one of those stories that genuinely makes me question whether there was some kind of scientific explanation behind it. A few years ago, my best friend was staying at a PG with three other girls, which is like a hostel. I don't remember what it stands for. One of the roommates, let's call her Ananya, always seemed a little unusual. Almost every night between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Ananya would suddenly sit up right on her bed and start talking. Everyone assumed it was sleep talking, and since it happened so often, they eventually stopped reacting to it. One day, while casually talking, Ananya mentioned that she had seen a small child running around on the ground outside the building late at night. Everyone found it creepy, but brushed it off, thinking maybe she had imagined it. Then one morning, around 5 a.m., all three roommates woke up because their room was filled with smoke. When they asked what happened, she casually said she had woken up early and decided to do puja. It was strange, but they let it go. Then came the final nail in the coffin. A few nights later, Ananya went to sleep around 10 p.m. like she always did. At around 1 a.m., instead of sitting up and sleep talking, she slowly sat upright. She didn't say anything. She just smiled. Oh no. My friend said it was the most disturbing smile she had ever seen. It looked unnaturally wide. Almost like it didn't belong on a human face. Her eyes were completely red. It wasn't just one person's imagination or nightmare. Both of them started crying in fear, panicking, and calling their parents because they genuinely had no idea what they were seeing. And she still kept staring at them with this disturbing smile. She continued to stare at them, and the moment they started making loud noises out of panic, her smile disappeared, and she looked completely normal again. As if she had no idea why everyone was terrified, and on confronting, she kept telling them that she did not know what she was doing. Neither of them felt safe staying in that room, so they spent the rest of the night sitting in the basement of the building. When they came back in the morning, Ananya was gone. Her cupboard was locked. My friend and her roommates packed their bags and shifted to another PG, which is why the mystery still remains. Also, it was later found out from the owner that her previous roommates also had left because of her strange behavior. I know this sounds like something straight out of a horror movie, but I'm genuinely trying to understand what happened. I don't believe in paranormal things, which is why this story bothers me so much. I'm posting this because I genuinely want opinions. Now, that one's a for real. I would never want to come across her again. No. Either it's some kind of paranormal something, or she knows what she's doing, and she likes to scare people. That's so sick. She not feeds off of a dark spirit or anything, but she gets joy on it. Oh my gosh. I get hiding around a corner and be like, "Ah, that's funny. That's a different level, and there's something wrong." That's not a normal behavior. Do you think it's something paranormal, or you're not sure? I don't know. The smiling. Because you have to be really good at acting to pull that off and be smiling at someone and not break. And her eyes turned red, though. Or was that just in the moment they were like freaking out, you know, could be. I don't know, though, because if she was actively doing that, and it was a choice, and it wasn't anything spooky or paranormal, somebody get her like a script and go put her on a TV set or a movie set or something. Because how do you pull that off and never break and never smile or laugh for something like if people are getting scared? Yeah, I don't know. But there was a comment, and it was another really freaky story. I had it where something talked through.
my daughter in an old lady's voice telling me in a really irritated voice that she was not my daughter. When I put my daughter to bed, she once again said she is not my daughter. Then I started getting the hairs raising on my arms. I said, "If you're not my daughter, then who are you?" And that is when she turned her head up from her pillow and with pure matte black eyes, she just stared into me really close to my face. Then she put her head down and fell back to sleep like it was nothing. I woke her up in a panic and she had no recollection of it and was confused that I had woken her up. I asked her to just pray with me to Jesus Christ. I tried to ride it off, but things started happening to me after that day, like an ice cold breeze waking me from my sleep at night and other things too. Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Coming from your child. That's something paranormal. That's horrifying. Whether it's, you know, past life, possession, just some things off. And that's like scarier because it's your own kid. You can't, and you can't pack a bunch of things. Move to another house, leave them behind. Exactly. Because if in the, okay, in the story, the original story, if I was staying somewhere and that girl was like smiling at me and it got to a point where it was really scary, I'd like give her a little push or, you know, be like, hello or like shake her, you know, be like, okay, stop because that's really scary. If I thought, you know, she was doing that in her sleep, but when it's your kid like that, you can't get like aggressive. You can't be mean and say like arguably you should not get aggressive with strangers either. If you are in a communal living situation where everybody's under the impression like, hey guys, we're all going to be normal and chill. And they're looking. I would just leave the floor. I got aggressive, but that's to each their own. I'm not saying puncher in the face. I'm saying like zero, whatever your name is, like Chrissy wake up. Yeah, just like get up girl, like, mm-hmm. That's really scary. I don't like people talking their sleep. When Ryan talks into sleep, it scares me really bad. And he doesn't even say anything creepy. Yeah, this makes her graduating. Yeah. He'll literally just be like, yeah, I put it over there. And I'm like, huh? And he goes, it's over there. Like, put it over there. And it's never anything. Jake strings together words that shouldn't go together. Just goes covered tea pot. Just yeah, random stuff. Yes. Yes. And just like what? I don't like sleep talking for you. You sleep talk. Or whisper that whispering. Yeah, that's scary. Okay. Our next story also from our/go stories. Are you seeing a pattern here? This is where I like to be. Okay. All right. It's from five years ago. It's titled, I will never go back there again. This one is quite long. So buckle up. It's worth it. Before my best friend and I were separated, one passed away. The other moved away. We used to ride around doing all the haunted legend places within reasonable driving distances. Sometimes we drive a few hours, but most of them weren't scary. Other than the adrenaline filled, hyped up. Did you hear see that? That would cause us to get spooked. This one was different. Way different. We were just out of high school, probably 20 at most. And we were looking for an actually scary place to visit. A lot of the people we knew knew we were into these kinds of things. So we'd always get tips somewhere to go. There were the original three of us that day. And another friend that wanted to tag along. After a little drive to our destination, about 45 minutes, we stopped at a wall wall to get gas and grab a few snacks. Like I stated earlier, we were all about 20 at the time. So we were all hyped up because we knew spooky time was getting close. We'd always pick on that other friend that tagged along. Nothing harsh, just, "Ah, you're scared." So I believed it was me that said something along those lines that was overheard by a few people. It got the attention of a few people in the Walla, including these two creepy older guys who seemed like they didn't fit in. Their clothes were all beat up and dirty and they just didn't seem right for the area. And time it was, probably 8 p.m. on a Saturday night. What's the little one scared of? Ask one of the guys. I say little because the three of us are all abnormally tall. The shortest between us three was six four. And he was normal height, probably around five nine. We replied and explained how we got tipped to go to this road because it's haunted. They replied that it wasn't that scary. And if we wanted a real scare, that we should go to this random road. I forget what it was called exactly. This is a setup. I'm sorry. If you meet strangers in a gas station and they say, "Hey, where are you headed? Don't go there. Go here." You're out of your mind. I mean, the strangers are. No. Oh my god. Sorry. Oh, just wait. This is a setup. Just wait. But apparently there's this random memorial statue for a plane crash in the middle of the woods that crazy things are supposed to happen at. We grabbed our stuff and didn't think anything of it. As soon as we left, the group started talking and decided to go with the other road that those guys hyped up. I know a typical horror movie. What do not do that? So we get to the entrance of the road and it already did not disappoint. Woods on both sides, not one street light in sight. And I remember there was like a detention center off to the right in the middle of nowhere. So the spooks already began the second we hit the entrance. We decided to drive down the road and search for the statue. We noticed that there were trees cut down on the side of the road and laying parallel to the shoulder off of the road. We finally find the statue. About five minutes go by of silence and we decided to enhance the scare factor by shutting the lights off. About a minute goes by and we see a shadow figure pop out from the statue. We all freak out as it starts walking towards us but it was making movements that no human would be normally capable of. It was dark out but this thing was black. It was darker than the woodsy sky. So we could make out some of it. This thing was huge. Like I said earlier, we were all extremely large compared to the average guy but this thing would have dwarfed any of us. We decided to peel out of there and continue down the road figuring it would eventually lead us out. Boy, where we wrong. Oh my god. About three minutes later and we hit a dead end which in this case was an open spot in the woods with sand everywhere. The cutout was massive but surrounded by woods. There were different cutouts and ways to go from there and I'm pretty sure the road continued after this cutout but we were pretty deep in the woods at this point. So we decided to turn around and obviously leave. After we turned around we stopped just to take in the eerie feeling. The other three guys were talking about the shadow we saw earlier. While I happened to catch something out of the corner of my eye. About 40 feet away from me. I see what appears to be a white face and then another and another. All surrounding the car. The other guys didn't see them and I'm rarely ever scared but seeing me panic they knew something was up. My panic caused them to panic. All panicking now. We floor it far away from the sand to turn around. We get about half a mile down the road, somewhat near the statue and pull over to gather our composure to get out of there. When we stopped I swear I heard the typical "wooo" ghost noise. This was now turning into a movie I wish I was never a part of. So we're really scared now. After finding the way we came we started heading back out. Remember those trees I talked about earlier? They were now lying in the middle of the road blocking us in. As we all see the white faces, masks maybe that I saw earlier. Thank God my one friend the driver was good at driving and valued safety over his car. We drove on the edge of the woods what felt like we were defying gravity to speed our way out. The car was literally sideways on the edge of the woods. I mean I could literally stick a single finger out of the window and touch the trees. We all made it home safely that night. After doing some research we found out that spot was notorious in the area for crazy things happening such as body dumps and murders. Because of the shadow and the ghost noise we heard, my head, heart and gut tells me that the place is actually haunted. As previously stated that place is famous for dumping bodies along with the plane crash 100 years ago. So there's bound to be some spirits there. I think where we were that night was actually haunted. We just happened to be there on a night where there were more things going on. I can't say for certain but I'm 99% sure we survived one of their setups that night. But when I'm 100% sure I will never go back again. I got chills just typing this and I never tell this story. There were four of us there. One took our story to the grave and I'm sure the rest of us won't speak much about it either. Whenever we even bring it up in front of people we always use the code THMTW so that we don't have to actually talk about it. It stands for, of course, the horror movie that wasn't. Thanks for reading. Feel free to ask questions. I'll answer the best to my ability. Oh okay, okay, okay, okay. Several, several thoughts but first and foremost the fact that those men in the gas station were comfortable enough to set up several grown six-foot-four men tells me that they still young but but very large men typically if you're a cowardly person that you know is the type of person to kill people or attack people or you know set people up in that way you're gonna pick someone that's like oh five two small frail like I could easily overtake them. Yeah, what do you mean? You're telling a handful of six four guys hey go out there it's creepy for like a setup situation. Yeah, that is scary and that it either means they have a big group of people that can take them down or they're doing something real dark and scary. That is creepy. That's not even a ghost story to me that is it's like part ghost part called costumes. Literally let's not meet. Yeah. Oh my gosh. That belongs to like let's not meet something I think because the the white faces and stuff masks. Oh my god. They're wearing some mask out there. Which will think out there or just trying not to be identified. Oh that's who. Oh my gosh guys if you meet someone in a gas station stop there already stop there but but if they say
to go somewhere. Don't, don't, don't, don't, especially not that night immediately after. Or ever. Yeah. That's really, really scary. It's a panic that would, would feel my entire being coming back out and seeing those logs laid out in the road, like trapping me in. Like that, like he said, my friend valued safety over his car. Exactly. Exactly. A car is just an item. Imagine crashing the car, though, in the middle of that. Could you imagine your stuck out there? Oh, sick. No. Sick. So this one's from our slash ghost stories from three days prior to when I found it. That was a comment under what's the most unexplainable thing that has ever happened to you. I've posted about this before, but I still just can't explain it. It gives me the chills whenever I remember it. My roommate brought home a couple of bouquets of flowers from his job, but they were going to wilt soon. So he stuck them in the freezer to preserve them a little longer. Two weeks pass, and he ends up throwing the flowers away. A couple more weeks pass. The trash has run multiple times at this point. The flowers are long gone. roommate gets in the shower one day. I'm sitting in a silent house, cats chilling on the bed with me while I read my fiancee while I read my fiancee plays games. roommate gets out of the shower and heads back to his room. Hey guys, can you come here? He sounded so distressed. We flew into his room to see what was wrong and scattered across his floor and asked where crunchy dead flower petals. No stems unmistakably from the bouquet that he threw away weeks ago. How the hell did they get here? Every living being in the house was accounted for. I never heard crunchy tearing sounds like what I'd expect from someone staging the scene, you know? My roommate is mega religious, not one to believe in the paranormal, or do elaborate hoaxes. It was just so strange. I would like to know where they work. Okay, did my roommate brought home the bouquet of flowers from work? Was it a funeral home? Was it interesting? Like probably not, but usually they take the flowers, yeah. You never know. Some people could just be like, oh, we didn't really like this one, or my car is full, my hands are full. Yeah, you never know. Yeah, yeah. But where do you work where you just have a bouquet of flowers? Obviously, besides like a florist, but yeah. Who was the bouquet intended for before? What's scary to this one about me, or about me? What's scary about this one to me is one, yeah, it could be a paranormal in nature, but it could also be someone like purposely trying to freak them out somehow. But though I don't know how they would get, yeah, and they said they didn't hear any, I don't know. Yeah. And get the flowers out of their trash from weeks prior. It just feels very scary to me. Yeah, so that one was like a toss up to me, and it freaked me out. What if the roommate secretly had, or like had like a crazy ex of some sort, and the flowers were sent to the roommate's job from said ex, and he's like, oh, yeah, I just brought these home, you know, blah, blah, whatever. And then he threw them out and the ex was watching and went to the trash can. A whole story went back up there and was like, how dare you just freak them out or something. Yeah, that's yucky. That's yucky. Okay, this next one's from our slash paranormal encounters from two years ago, titled, "He warned me. The third time I won't wake up." Hi, everyone. I wanted to share a nightmare I had some time ago. I'm terrified. I'll have it again. I can't shake the feeling that there's something more to it. Here's what happened. I was walking down a dodgy street trying to find my way back home. The only light came from some dim yellow street lamps. Then a taxi appeared out of nowhere, and I flagged it down. The moment I sat down, something felt wrong. The air in the car was heavy like I was trapped in a suffocating box. The driver was an older man. He was extremely skinny with sickly yellow skin, sunken eyes, and a terrifying creepy smile. He barely had any hair, and what was left was thin, white, and uneven, hanging in messy clumps around his head. When he asked, where are we going? Chills ran down my spine. His voice was disgusting, almost inhuman. I gave him my address, but instead of taking the normal route, he turned down strange streets, speeding up as he drove. I started panicking and tried to open the door, but he had locked them all. I started screaming. Let me out. This is where I should be getting off. My family's waiting for me, please. But he would just stare at me through the rearview mirror with a terrifying face, grinning at me with a smile that made me want to vomit. Eventually, the car stopped. We were in an empty parking lot, surrounded by nothing. This creature didn't say a word. Somehow, I managed to free myself, bursting out of the taxi, and running as fast as I could. But then I saw him, running behind me. Though he wasn't human anymore, his body had transformed into a 10-foot tall, emaciated creature with skin the color of rotten skin. His grin stretched too wide, splitting his face unnaturally. All his limbs were grotesquely broken and twisted with raw muscles and pieces of skin exposed. He was crawling towards me, and an inhuman speed faster than I could run. His eyes, God, his eyes. Those deep, dark pits were locked on me. Then he caught me. His claw-like hands gripping me so hard as he rose into the air, flying with me into the sky, I could feel my body going limp. I was paralyzed with terror as he leaned close to my face and said, "You'll never escape me." This is the second time you've dreamed of me. The third time, you won't wake up. That's when it hit me. I had dreamt of this terrifying man before. It wasn't just a nightmare. This was the same creature, and I hadn't remembered until then. Then in real life, as I was in the bed, I started to feel his breath on my face. It was so real as if he was inches away. I knew it was a dream, but for a moment I thought it was actually happening, so I was trapped between waking up or not. Both scenarios seemed terrifying. I tried to wake myself up, desperately struggling to move, but I was frozen. Finally, I broke free, and I woke up. I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. What if I dream of him a third time? What if you dream of him a third time? Hopefully his threat is just a threat, and it's not real. I mean, I would assume so, but still, what is. That's a Freddie Krueger level terror. That's really scary. Unless you can lose a dream, you can't control what you dream about. Sometimes you just fall asleep, and the dreams happen. And that's what I believe is paranormal about some dreams. They're influenced by something outside. Not you. If this is influenced by whatever this thing is, also, if you think about something a lot, sometimes you start dreaming about it. That happens with me. If I'm really dead set on meeting a goal or anything. I happen to meet the other day. I dream about it. I have been wanting to build a fire pit in my backyard or an area for a fire pit, and I dreamed about doing one thing. Exactly. This entity thing is this person's fire pit. That's really scary. I don't like it. I would be afraid to go to sleep. I would be too. That's a problem. You need to sleep. Well, everyone needs sleep, but you especially. I would be terrified to go to sleep too. Our next story comes from our slash paranormal encounters from five years ago. Tidled, he won't stop. Since my separation from the Navy three years ago now, I have been working part-time doing security at the local bars and clubs. I recently just finished my last two days, thankfully, because I now have more time to spend with my five-month-old son and wife without feeling drained from working six to seven days a week. Don't ask how I did it. I don't know. A few months back, I was working at one of the aforementioned local bars. It so happened to be one of my more favorite spots to work. Good food, decent pay, and all around amazing people. There are hardly any fights, so my job mostly consists of escorting or throwing people out when they're too blitzed or kicking out sailors after curfew. Well, you get it. I was having a good time and chatting with drunken customers. Then my wife calls me. That's weird. My thought, it's 2 a.m. I'm not gonna lie. I got a little anxious. I mean, we do have a freshly buttered baby in the house, so I'm sure you can understand. She told me she couldn't sleep because of a nightmare. I finally let my breath go. I told her I couldn't talk too much on the clock, so I just said just message to me. We began texting each other, and I asked about her nightmare. I wish I hadn't. She began to describe the recurring nightmare beginning with her sleeping alone in our room. She wakes up to a man sitting on our bed. Frozen in fear, she can't say anything, but he begins to speak. You know, for a long time, I've been watching you. I want your baby. When he finally turns to her, she can only make out a pair of red eyes. I then asked what his voice sounded like. She said his voice was so deep that it didn't sound like something that could come from a human. She continued to tell me the rest. He walks into my son's room, grabs him, and then disappears. She has been having that dream around the same time that I've been having mine. It's been months since either of us have dreamt about him, although recently my closets have now a very heavy and dark feeling to this day, like he's just waiting for that data strike. Fast forward to now, we introduced the new year and things were feeling pretty light until two nights ago. My wife began talking in her sleep around 3am. Normally, I don't wake up until four, as that's when my son decides to eat once to play with me. She kept saying, "No, no, don't take him. He's not yours." I began feeling that sense of dread and malice for my dreams about the red eyed man and the closet. Same as when I was young, and still the same now. I jumped up, scaring my wife, and running to my son's room only to find the room a lot darker than usual, even with the blinds open and his night light on. The worst part?
The absolute thing that filled me with fear, rage, and confusion was that his closet was wide open. A five-month-old infant cannot climb out of their crib and open to heavy doors. After seeing that, I told my wife to pack her bags, at least for a few days. They're currently staying at my in-laws' house in the countryside. Being a very traditional Japanese family, I know that they have a lot of talismans and protective barriers around the house. I've been home alone for two days and two nights. I do feel that feeling of being watched at times. Yet, I try to apply logic first, being a veteran and all. But sometimes logic really cannot make sense of the things that go on in my house. I have a priest and a shaman coming to my home today. I hope it works for now. Oh my gosh! That's it? That's it. No. Yeah. There were some comments though I can get into. Okay, please do. So there was a comment under. It says, "Your post history says you've seen this figure before as a child, and your father saw something similar and had dreams like yours after having children. Have you and your son been baptized or blessed in any formal way? You may have something attached to your family if it's been following them in for generations. My husband's great grandfather was a pastor and regularly performed exorcisms. My grandmother dabbled in black magic when she was raising my father. I regularly tell things and entities that they're not welcome in my home and we do not accept baggage from the past or whomever they attach themselves to. About once every three months or so, I will do a blessing over my home. It includes opening doors and windows and telling entities and spirits to leave my home as well as performing blessings on my husband and my child. I hope the visits from priests and shamans help." And then they, the original OP, commented back. Same situation but reversed the roles. My father's grandma dabbled in white magic and his grandfather was the pastor. My mother's parents were shamans, but recently converted into being baptized and formerly blessed through both religions. I do believe that it's attached to my family and I will do whatever it takes to keep it away from my son. I've cleansed my house regularly and every house I've been in, although my dad has told me that my sisters and I can be seen as beacons from time to time. Oh my gosh. So whatever it is has been following their family for generations. And that sickens me so much because you have, that's just something you have no control over. You can't do anything about it. You were born. It's the same thing as moving into a new house when things have gone on. There's nothing you can do. Well, the house you can leave. Well, yes, but you didn't cause this. This isn't your mess to clean up. This is something else. Someone else that has brought this upon you. This is someone who didn't carry a matrims or only up the mountain. Exactly. Oh my gosh. What is white magic? I assume there's black magic and white magic. Like light magic, good magic versus dark magic, bad magic, black magic, evil magic. Things like things for ill will versus things for protection and light and love. Oh, okay. Well, that shouldn't bring about the darkness. No, unless she was practicing because that darkness was already there from who knows. Prior. Yeah, that's possible. That's possible. Yeah. I wish we could go back and like speak to someone that could tell us if any of our family ever did anything like that. I know. I feel there's something going on in our history for sure. I do too. I feel like someone made it made like a bad deal to like get riches in their life and then it put a curse on the rest of the bloodline. I know. I never have money. That's how I feel. You will always have the most inconvenient times at all times, particularly with money. That's how I feel. Like something went on. Oh, I wonder. Is there something? Who can you go to to look into that? I don't know. There's probably like mediums and stuff you could talk to who know this kind of stuff, but I don't know. I would like to do something like that. I really hope OP never comes into contact with whatever this is again. And I hope that the sun doesn't help. Yeah. I wonder like, is the sun seeing it? Is he scared in his little room? I hope not. I hope the sun's still sleeping. But being new parents and already having the fear and anxiety of like taking care of a new human. The first one they call a freshly buttered baby. That was cute. Yeah. But then adding that layer of paranormal like threat on top of it is just too much. Don't like that at all. You know what? I'm going to take a moment. Sending love and light and positivity and good vibes. And just nothing but love and light to everyone watching this right now. Okay. Those creepy. That just made me sick. Yeah. Anyway, moving on to our next story. Our slash paranormal encounters from one year ago. It was titled Summer of 2017. Sometimes that night when I couldn't sleep, I'd go for a run around the neighborhood. I hadn't been doing well mentally and running was the least destructive activity in my life. When I decided I'd run to the local high school. I jogged from my house down the mile stretch of road and ended up at the football stadium. I ran a few laps around the track, then I started up and down the bleachers. I was feeling pretty good until something washed over me. It was a sense that I was being watched. For a split second, I thought, just keep going. And just as I went to climb the next step, the memory of a story that my grandfather had once told me resurfaced. One night when he was seven or eight, my grandfather woke up to a man staring at him from outside his bedroom window. When he got close to the window, the man leapt down from the second story ledge. My grandfather said that the man had vanished. But that and a long gated animal on four very long legs scurried away from the house. He told this story only once after I'd mocked native legends. I thought it was just an old man's tale. I'd forgotten his story until that very moment. When chills went through my body and I knew something was watching me. I wanted more than anything to forget about it so that I could finish my routine. But something within, call it intuition, urged me to leave. That fear was stronger than my thoughts of rationality, as fear tends to be. I called my mom, she answered. I said that I knew it was too late to bother her that I was so sorry, but that something didn't feel right at the stadium. She said, I need you to run home. And whatever you do, keep your eyes in front of you. Don't turn back. I'm going to meet you halfway. Stay on the phone. Do not hang up. I am coming. I didn't understand why she was panicked and I felt awful for bothering her. As I was exiting the stadium gates, my blood ran cold. A man in a wide rimed straw hat was leaning against the chain-linked fence that surrounded the campus. He was smiling. This excited smile. One, I will never forget. I jogged past him. He nodded at me and said, time for fun. I bolted. I didn't look back. I invoked the name of Jesus. I prayed to whatever higher power there was. I asked angels to protect me. I kept running until I saw the headlights of my mom's car. Later, she told me that when people like us have big feelings like that, it's evolutionary. The way pray can sense a predator. She suspects it was a dark creature, one that was drawn to people going through deep depression. From then on, I decided to never run alone after sunset. Summer 2019. One night, this coworker wanted to go for a run after we got off. We both worked the graveyard shift, so we agreed we'd go to the track at the high school since it was open and not too far from work. We arrived, chatting, carefree, complaining about work, walking up through the front gates. As we stepped foot onto the track, she stopped and said, I don't like this place. I froze and looked at her. Why, I ask? She just shook her head and whispered, something evil lives here. I took her hand immediately, walking us back to the gate and towards my car. I remember my mom's advice and I told her, don't look behind you. I hadn't told a soul about my initial experience before that. My coworker said it felt like someone was following right behind us until we got to the car. I never will go back there. Never. Is there more like today? That's it. I have one comment of somebody from their own experience, but no, that was it. Time for fun. I did not like that. Like they just got joy and were related at the thought of them being terrified, catching them maybe. Right. The chase was just fun for them. I'm deeply unsettled. Deeply unsettled because growing up, I was just envisioning because whenever I was in high school. When it was summertime during a school, when we were in school, we would go up to the track and run and work out and stuff. Yeah. And I could just see it all so clearly. I was picturing the same thing. I was into the visual of it all. So I've kind of forgot we were even recording this. I was just like, oh my god, this is happening to me. I know. I felt so scared. Oh my gosh. Trusting your intuition. That too. That a friend. Bringing a friend is supposed to make you like, oh, safer. Like everything's fine. Yeah, I know. Did the friend feel the thing that is after OP? Like does OP have a, again, like I guess a family thing that's like after them? I think it's there. I think it's an area thing. Okay. Just because the friend said this place is evil. Okay. And it's the same place that they saw this man creature of being. I would never go back. I didn't even realize it was the same place. Well, they said they're never going back. I would have run laps around my couch before I went back to the track. Yeah. There was one comment or one comment that I enjoyed anyway. This brought back a memory. I was a little kid, maybe 10 riding in the back seat of the car and it was just turning dusk. This area is pretty safe even all these years later. But sitting in the car at the red light with my folks in the front seat, I felt the hair prickled on my neck. I looked around and there was an old man in a wide brimmed hat leaning against a post on the sidewalk with his arms folded. Our eyes met and his arms unfolded and he tipped his hat at me the way gentleman used to. Two things that hit me as I was sitting there was his evil smile and his freakishly long arms. When he had them folded in his nonchalant stance leaning against the pole, you couldn't tell. But when he raised his arm to tip his hat.
fat, they were long enough, he could have touched the ground while bending over. I asked my parents if they saw the guy and they said what guy? I didn't elaborate, but it seemed like it took forever for the light to change. I looked back, he was still smiling. I scrunched my way down on the seat. My parents commented that I was unusually quiet, the twenty miles or so home. They never connected my comments with my being quiet. My career military dad was not someone who would have believed me about any of this kind of stuff. He was very much a no nonsense guy. Take from that what you will. It was no wonder I slept with the light on all my life and I still have a night light. I don't like surprises in the dark. Oh my gosh. That same wide, it's like the hat man awake, but in the in the light. Yes. Why are they all wearing a hat? I don't know. The same like wide brimmed too. A very sinister. I wonder if they're like in the same area or something. And that's the same. Maybe it's just the and she that looks like a man sometimes and then sometime is for like a creature. Yeah. Maybe that's unsettling. I put that one in because I would never like to meet this man ever. No, ever. No. But moving on to our next story, it's from our slash paranormal encounters again for eight months ago. Has anyone else met someone who might not have been real? When I was about ten years old, something happened that I still can't explain. I've never really talked about it, but curiosity has really gotten the best of me and I'd love to know if anyone experienced anything even remotely similar. So here's my story. Let's call it crows. I grew up on a dead end road where I spent every moment I could outside. I knew all the neighbors. Everyone was really close with each other back then, especially me, the kind of kid who knocked on everyone's doors looking for friends. Our backyard was a long hill leading down into woods that stretched for acres. One day while I was playing in my backyard, I noticed a girl around my age a couple of feet into the trees. She had tan skin, long black hair, and workloads that didn't look modern. Almost like something from the past. I waved and said hi because I was a friendly kid. She looked terrified and sprinted into the woods. Aww. I told my dad and he said she was probably a neighbor, but I knew she wasn't. I knew all the kids on our road and there wasn't a home for sale or a new build or anything, but he still dismissed my claims. I thought maybe he's right. Maybe she's just really shy. Still, I was too curious to just leave it alone. Who was she? The next morning I packed a bag with snacks, crackers, and some fruit and wrote her note asking if she wanted to be friends. That I'm friendly, something along those lines. Aww. I left it where I saw her in the woods. I checked on the bag several times throughout the day and yelled for her into the trees, but she never showed. I went back out to check the next morning and I was shocked to see that both of the snacks and the note were gone. I thought about how it was a dumb plan because I had no way of knowing if an animal took it instead, but as I got closer I noticed in their place was a small square of hand-stitched cloth. Red and orange with a black crow in the center. I kept that cloth for years in my keepsake box, but since I moved I can't seem to find it anywhere. I guess it's possible I could have misplaced it, but I have stuff in there I've had since I was five. I take very good care of my things and it was just so strange that that was the only thing missing in my opinion. That night I left another note saying thank you for the crow, and that I was friendly and asked if she wanted to play. The next morning the note and snacks were gone, but nothing was left in return. I felt discouraged and started to walk home, but then I heard a "woohoo" in the woods. I fell of the sound deeper into the woods, smart I know. And suddenly stumbled into a large clearing I'd never seen before. It was midday and bright so I could see everything perfectly. Toward the back of this large clearing was a tiny log cabin with fenced areas, chicken coops, stacks of wood, a rocking chair by itself in the middle of the clearing, which looking back now is kind of strange. I thought it might be a hunting cabin, so I started to get nervous, but then the door opened and it was her. She waved me over and I ran to the door. She pointed to her chest and said, "Current." I quickly realized while trying to talk to her that English didn't seem like her first language, but we communicated the best we could. I remember her showing me a lot of crafts she made, all made out of things you could find in the woods. I wasn't allowed in her room and she didn't seem to want to go outside to show me the chickens. She said, mainly using drawings, that she wasn't allowed to leave the clearing and that her mom and papa would be upset if they knew I was there. We drank some kind of herbal tea, I think. I remember it tasting like dirt, but I never said anything. I was polite. I don't remember our exact conversation, but when I asked where she was from, she said something like "pa-luge-hungd." I still don't know what that means, and to be honest, that might not even be what she said that's just what stuck in my memories. The whole visit, especially how I got home, feels fuzzy now. The next thing I remember, I was walking through the woods while she's humming a song that I would give anything to remember the cadence too. As she walked me to the woods in front of my house, I just remember waking up the next day after that. I don't remember going up the hill, walking in, changing clothes, getting in bed, nothing. I told my step-brother and a couple of friends, and surprisingly, they believe me, and they seemed super excited to meet her. We all wrote notes, impact the snacks, hoping she'd take them, but nothing happened. After a couple of days, we searched the woods and yelled, but we never found the clearing. We wrote notes, and tried different snacks, searched for the clearing for Kirin, for weeks, and then months. About two years later, after we had given up hope on finding Kirin or finding the clearing again, we were playing outside when we heard the same "whoo-hoo!" We all saw a girl in the trees before she ran. I was so happy they saw her too. I wasn't crazy. We followed the sound deep into the woods, and I ended up in the clearing again. I looked over to say, "Told you to my step-brother and friend, but this time, there was no cabin. No chickens, just grass." And my step-brother and friend were suddenly gone. I felt a sense of panic as I yelled their names, and then I just remember hearing crows, calling like crazy, but I never saw any. I felt so scared in that moment. It still lives with me today. The sound was overwhelming. I couldn't think straight. I immediately ran back the way I came. I ran for what seemed like forever. I remember feeling panic, thinking, "Did I go the wrong way?" I didn't run this deep into the woods. Why am I not out by now? I was so scared. Even just thinking about it, I'm starting to shake. At all the same time, those crows were still loud as ever. I never saw them, maybe because I was blinded by adrenaline and anxiety, but I ran right into my step-brother and friend and knocked them over. Once we got our bearings, the crows stopped, and they were yelling at me. They were so angry, claiming I deserted them, and they didn't know where to go. I tried explaining to them that I thought they'd been right behind me the whole time, and they didn't listen. They thought I was messing with them, and were so angry with me for running away. But I was, and still am, so confused how that could have happened. I 100,000 percent do not remember running away from them. Why would I do that? We were all following the same noise, and I could hear their footsteps with me the whole time. It just doesn't make sense. When I got home, I was in huge trouble for scaring my step-brother. He made it seem like I abandoned him in the middle of the woods, crying, the whole thing, but of course, no one believed my side of the story. I was told to never go into the woods again, but to be honest, I was going to go back anyways. Either way, I know what I saw. What really happened. At the same time, though, I have no idea what happened. Several years went by, and as I got older, I got more curious and confused, so I went to where the clearing should have been, but of course, it's nowhere to be found. What's strange, though, is I still heard crows in the area. And my, at the time, boyfriend didn't hear anything. It made me feel insane. Even now, for some reason, when I see a crow, I get a strange feeling like it recognizes me. I can't explain it. I'm 29 now, so almost 20 years have passed, and I still can't stop thinking about Kiran. The crows. The clearing that appears and disappears. The log house and the time loss and confusion. As anyone else had something like this happen as a kid, who could be real, but might not have been a place that exists, but doesn't. Also, if anyone has any insight into what this kind of experience could mean, I'd love to hear it. Was it just a strange childhood encounter, a warning, a sign, or something that doesn't fit into any explanation? I still don't really know how to process it. What do you think? Okay, you're going to not like my answer. I need to know your thoughts, because I'm, I don't know. Fairies. Yes, I knew that's what you were going to say. I told you you're not going to like my answer, but that is like that feels fake to me. That feels disappearing into the woods into a place that cannot be seen. Usually they ate or they drink with them, which you're not supposed to eat and drink, you know, in the fey realm. And that left them confused. Yeah. The Kiran or whatever telling her, you know, like my mom and Pa or whatever she said, wouldn't be happy if you're here. It almost feels like they have some kind of secret realm. I don't know if this is, I guess I might be agreeing with you. I don't know. And Kiran was like supposed to bring someone over there. I don't know, like I want to hang out with kids too. Like I see this kid running around playing all the time. Yeah. But the crow thing is interesting, because you know, if you leave a crow something, they'll bring you something. Or if you know how people do that. So I thought that was that was strange. And so there's like a connection between like, fey and animals like that. And I feel like that maybe there's a connection in that way somehow. That's the type of story. Like maybe they could like shapeshift. That's the type of story I can get on board with, like fairy esk type. Yeah. Just because why not? It's fun. It's fun. Nobody was harmed. It feels that way. Like it feels, to me, very fey, very, very fey. That was fun. And also like girl, don't go meet Kiran again. Right. But I also, if Kiran was, you know, a good spirit or kid or whatever kind of sad, like they just wanted a friend and then Kiran was like, woo, or whatever you said. There was a comment that said, like Kiran was upset that you tried to bring other people.
She brought other people, yes, and that's what I was thinking, like, oh, like she didn't want you to bring the boys to, like she just wanted to hang out with you. Yeah. Hmm. Kind of cute, though. Very cute story, very interesting story. Yeah. It leaves my mind reeling. Yeah. And I'd love to know if anybody here has had any experiences like that. Obviously, this is Reddit, so this person's probably not here. But has anybody here had an experience like that as a child or an adult, where you've, you've happened upon a place or a person, but you're not sure actually happened. You know, like, they're not actually real, maybe. Yeah. But her step-brother and friend or whatever saw her, too. Yeah, that's true. That's true. I forgot about that. Hmm. I don't know. Ferrys. Okay. Sure. It is for me. That's how I feel. That's fine. Why not? But that was the last story. That's all I have for you guys today on our paranormal Let's Not Meet. If y'all want, we could do a regular Let's Not Meet. It was just very true crimey and we're not like, you know, true crime. I just felt like we needed the paranormal aspect. But if y'all want to, I'm down. I know Natalie's 100% down here. Stories like that. Yes. I would like to do that because, yes, not paranormal, but it's scary. It's still scary, yeah. Tilly. It's arguably scarier, so I would be down. We have a couple of stories like that coming on Friday. Okay. Well, then I'm very excited about that. From our listeners. So, am I excited then? I don't know. I don't like the jaw one through that. But I am excited to see. We'll see. So, if you would like to hear that too, like this video, share it with your friends.
