The podcast episode blends humor and personal reflection to explore a range of pressing topics. The central narrative begins with a seemingly minor roach sighting, which evolves into a broader discussion about environmental shifts in Los Angeles—driven by extreme humidity and El Niño—making everyday life feel increasingly overwhelming. This leads to a deeper conversation on personal habits, especially food spending, where members reveal shocking figures like $55,000 spent on takeout in a year, prompting a collective commitment to budgeting and financial awareness. The narrative shifts to a vivid recounting of a chaotic, immersive visit to Universal Studios’ Halloween event, where elaborate stunts, live shows, and high-energy stunts create both excitement and fear. Amid this, the hosts openly discuss mental health struggles, including anxiety around drinking and public exposure, highlighting the emotional toll of being in unfamiliar or intense social situations. The episode also offers cultural critique, particularly around Taylor Swift’s influence and the commercialization of music awards, contrasting her mainstream success with a growing tension about authenticity in art. Ultimately, the conversation centers on self-awareness, financial responsibility, and the value of authentic human connection—especially in times of uncertainty. Through shared vulnerability, the group underscores a sense of solidarity, using humor and reflection to navigate both personal and societal challenges.
[MUSIC] [MUSIC] It's Samia, it's Mama Mia. >> Oh, perfect. >> It's Samia Mia, Mario, and Tori Ligi. >> Okay, Tori Ligi. >> And it's just I'm feeling, I'm glad I brought you that stuff. >> Your toad voice. >> I don't remember any songs you're in toad voice. >> I don't have one. >> Mind you, my main is toad, mind you, my main is toadat. Does anyone want to talk about that? >> Girl, where's the pink? >> We're just some bros. I wasn't going to come in time, I checked. But the toadat one has two little bubble, has two bubble braids. Right, Luigi? >> Guys, also, they like put this padding in here. >> So if it looks like the person from the oogi boogie. >> Can you stand up, or is that doing too much? >> Yeah. >> You should show them. >> It's Samia. >> It's Samia. >> Yeah, Mario. >> I'm just packing up with my first little greenie. >> I have me for a nap. >> I have me for a spatechini in the oven. >> Sit down. >> Oh, Paul, can you stand up and take a step to your left? >> Paul, can you have a filled debut? >> Can you take a step to your left and step in between that little triangle of cones, but I darefully-- >> Guys, and we're going to get-- >> Can you just step in that? >> We're going to get to her, but first I need to talk about how Fox News is going to be mad at Gay Hall of Wien, because why is Mario pregnant? >> Why? >> Why? >> Dude, the guy who does the SNL Tucker Carlson. >> Oh, yeah. >> Coming out with a new one, Obsessed. >> Obsessed. >> Wow. >> So, I guess let's address the elephant in the room. >> The roach in the room. >> Can we also say, though, like, before anything pops me looking around, like, just making sure? The way? >> Here? >> Oh, that's okay. >> I should actually like, down here too, so we should just add a little first bit of, like, surfe. >> Oh, wait, wait, wait, actually, yeah, just in case we don't know. >> If not, we're going to, like, if anything were to come home with me after having to move to, like, a place so high where I had to, like, escape the roachies, which we can go on a whole deep dive about what kind of roach was in here, because I know that kind. >> Oh, really? >> Well, I mean, to be fair, it was really slow. >> Stop. >> My, well, 'cause- >> Oh, so you can get-- >> My zipper? My zipper was moving like this, and I was like, "Why is there movement?" >> Oh, well, but it's my zipper. >> It was a really slow roach, and to be fair, we've never seen one in a year before. >> We've never seen one, but also, it's just like, you know, where we're at, it's just- >> Dude, LA is also just like- >> Like, experiencing humidity that I've never felt before in my whole life, in my lashes coming off. So, you know what? Let's just cut it here. >> Perfect. >> Let's just end the episode. >> No, I literally watched a tick talk about how, because there's so much humidity, the mosquitoes, the spiders, and just everything that Florida has is, like, happening here. >> Which is perfect, which is actually, like, literally perfect. >> Dude, the pest fucking, and it does feel, there's a sense of solidarity in it, but the pest trucks have been just everywhere. >> Yeah, just every time I'm on the road, they are too much. >> They are too much. >> Oh, yeah. They're so booked right now. >> So, it's just like, wow, you know, and shout out, we'll not shout out, but, well, I mean, it's a natural process that the earth is going through right now, but it is a little bit scary, because we don't know what's going to go down, and just, yeah, but, yeah, sorry, we had a roach, okay? It was just hot out. >> It's not a reflection of TMG studios because here's the tea. If it was one of the small ones, where, like, you know, like, the thousand pound sisters, shout out, Amy and Tammy, like, okay, there's roaches that you can have, like, the small German cockroaches, and those are the ones that get into your food, get, like, literally eat the same food you eat. >> Perfect. >> And, like, there's, like, a million of them. Like, if you see one of them, you're, like, cooked, because that means there's an infestation, and it's damn near impossible to get rid of them. >> Oh, perfect. >> But the ginormous ones, like, the one that went on this side, that literally had a whole ass cameo. Like, I don't even know what it was promoting, like, just some period, just something, just a mess. Happy to look at the disaster. >> I mean, we do, like, actually, eat, talk about and crumble in here twice a week, so. >> Okay. But that was the day that they literally had just vacuumed our carpet. Remember? >> Well, y'all probably woke it up. >> Well, yeah. Because Papa Nono was in the stew that day. >> Well, Papa Nono, well, if you're on the page, y'all, you would see. >> Right. >> He got it. We should text him about that. But, no, you know, it's just one of those things where it's like bugs are natural. >> Yeah. >> They're very natty. >> But, at my old apartment, before I had moved, I had those big bitches, the ones- >> Oh, the big ones. >> Oh, no. If I had the babies, I would have left a long time ago. >> Yeah. >> But the big ones come in from, like, something. Like, you kind of have to, like, seal off everything. Which is why, if you live on, like, the first story, like, they're pretty common and, like, vintage apartments and stuff, like, you just, like, walk into your place. Which is why I decided to, like, move into a place where it's just, like, they would have to fly. >> Simply. >> Well, and if you see one in there, then it's, like, we burdened this whole, just down. >> Oh. If I see one in there. >> If I see one in there. >> Just strong. >> That's the other thing. They come up the drain. >> Perfect. >> But in older buildings, because there's, I did a whole deep dive about this. >> Up to. >> In, like, more, in, like, newer builds and, like, any house made just in the year of 2000, I'm sure. They add, like, this flip thing in the drain, where, essentially, as soon as water's not flowing, it, like, closes the drain inside, because that's how they come up. They're in, like, the water, like, in the drains. >> Perfect. >> So they come up, either from the drain, because I would, like, the shower drain, the sink drain, or, if you're, like, place, like, my old place, where a raccoon could have came up from just literally seeing the exposed brick, and not, like, the cute millennial urban outfiter. >> Yeah. >> The exposed brick, like, baby. >> That was, like, the brick, like, bricky tee, like, the bricky tee, brick. >> Just bricky. >> Like, just a bricky face roach in my face, like, it's not like, >> You really are a plumber. I know. >> Like, it's a me and I. >> It's a plumber core. >> I'm so, me and Mario today, I'm so Mario. >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Yeah. So just feeling God awful about that. >> Oh. >> In the way mind you, none of us saw it until we posted the episode in the comments were like, "Losso high roach." >> No, literally. >> What? >> No. That's what's happening. They were like, the roach is frying me. I was like, "What?" >> No. >> I was like, "What roach?" >> And thank you. You know what? Who I'm going to tap into? The neighbors who are timestampers. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. >> No, thank you guys for letting us know because we actually had no idea. I mean, nothing we can really do to be fair, but- >> No. >> Anyways, it's zoned off today. >> Right. Just so everyone knows, like, we're, it's under investigation and we're seeing. >> Yeah. And we're, like, clocking. >> It's seeing you, clockness ever- >> Clockness ever key. >> And if you heard the Roach has since been dismissed. >> Really? >> Really? >> You all found it? >> Where was it? >> You found it? >> That same day where you guys were here with Noel, Darian and I were hanging something at the entrance and I was like, "Well, look at that guy!" And I took him out right there and I was like, "Well, let's get rid of this before the ladies see it." >> Oh, my God. >> But here we are. >> How little did you know it came its bond in RSA. >> Oh, well, simply because it was just simply under the chair. >> And every single person knows, I mean, like, I, y'all know that the episode would have cut there, simply. >> Almost wish we saw it. >> Oh, I mean, why? >> Because that would have been like, 2012 YouTube, like, rage, quit, ass, clit. >> That would have been party for you, except, like, no talk about, just, like, we saw a Roach. >> No, it's too jumpy. I'm too jumpy right now for that. >> Unfortunately. >> After, like, going through the trauma of that at my old apartment and literally just essentially only Uber Eatsing for, like, I don't know, a month straight, until my girlfriend, like, literally, with her bare hands, like, rebuilt our kitchen. >> Yeah. >> Um, that trauma will still, like, even still, I know at my new place that, like, they're just simply couldn't even be a Roach or, like, any type of bug because they, like, have the Disney special where they eradicate everything, within, like, a three mile radius, all still, like, in the middle of the night, be, like, so scared to go to the bathroom. >> Oh, 100%. Like, even still. >> Yeah. >> I'll be, like, I can't go to the bathroom right now. >> No, and that's real. >> And I just, like, hold it until it's, like, daylight. >> Yeah. >> Whatever, man. >> It just really does something near psyche, but it is, kind of, affirming to know that we are just going through something, weather-wise, that is, um, unprecedented. Never before seen, you know what I mean, thinking about LA when we go through something. Well, no, we've actually been going through a lot of, like, natural disasters recently, but still, we're, other than that, very chill in terms of the weather, so I can't complain too much, but- >> Yeah, but that one was just, like, okay. >> No, like, El Nino is doing its thing, and it really is so- >> He's gone it. >> I was just going to be, like, this morning, when I ran, I was sweating buckets, but then I was, like, running, and then I was, like, half marathon, and then I just, like, shut- >> Yeah. >> Just shut down for a second, um, because it was so humid. >> It's so humid. >> It was actually crazy. I did feel like I was in Florida. >> It's, like, not even enjoyable. Like, even at night, literally, I don't know, because it's, like, one thing, if there's a hot summer night in LA, but it usually feels pretty good, because it's not, like, like, so humid, but it's been, like, humid as shit, and I'm like- >> It's been really tough. >> I don't know, I've kind of been freaking out.
Well, yes, because I personally, I mean, I know we don't get fall for real, but I do rely upon some change in the climate around this time to help me finish the year. And just kind of seeing El Nino in the way that we might just be hot for the rest of the year. I mean, there will be many other things to worry about with El Nino. So like this champagne-ass problem is nothing in comparison, but just for the mental health, I'm like, oh, it's hot again. Oh, it's hot again. It's still hot, it's hot again. And I don't want that. I don't want that. I don't want that. It's going to be like 95 in October. But in New York, it's like raining right now and like 70 degrees. And I just am like, so I'm going to shut the hell up. Oh, I kind of want that. Really? That gives me muggy. Well, no, it's sorry. Like, I guess, I don't know. The world's been saying it's cool. Really? Because you know, New York in the fall, you can't beat her. No, you can't. There's magic in that city. Especially once the air gets crispy. I'm like, girl, it's just like fricked up because the it's just it ain't right. The year's over October is like fully cooked and then it's November and then it's December and then it's January. So yeah. No, like freaking out kind of. No, definitely freaking out kind of. Yeah. But once we get past October, it's the picture of the shackles being just broken just because October is about to be in vain just every day. It's every day, bro. Every day, bro, with the Disney Channel flow because we are going to Spain, which this Spain trip is honestly going to be there. It's to be the only key da key da watashi was. Like, honestly, low key. I'm like, should we bring pod mics in the sense that like it's literally going to be honestly, we should, we should think about that. We're leaving in two days. But we should think I haven't even passed three days. You think I've packed at least you bought stuff where I'm about to like, I guess I'm just going to overnight one clear umbrella and hope it's cool. I don't even have an umbrella. Okay, well, you have clothes though. So we can go, you know what I mean? Well, at least you have a jacket. I don't have a jacket. Oh, I haven't bought it yet. Well, I was just like thinking about it. No, and that's that's actually very true. But also I, me every two months saying that I'm going to stop spending money. I just though like, I'm done. Yeah. I'm hanging it up. I'm hanging it up. Yeah. Because I've I've truly been too scared to do my budget the last two months. And it's kind of just getting to a point to where I'm wondering if I see a future for myself and what that looks like financially. Do you know what I mean? Where I'm like, do you want to pay rent in the future? You think you're just fucking cute. I saw this girl's video right now where she's talking about her food addiction. Right. And how do you know about something? Oh, I will. Oh, sorry. I was like, oh, have you seen her videos? Oh, no, I just want the food addiction. Yeah, real. Yes. Well, I was watching this girl's video where she was talking about her food addiction. And she was talking about how she like quit all her apps. And she's only doing, um, you know, like she's meal prepping. But she said it's because she's spent $55,000 in one year on DoorDash. And then someone did the math. And they were like, well, that's $4, $30 meals a week. It's $55,000 a year on DoorDash. And I was like, okay. So, um, I'm literally deleting right now. I'm like, so that did freak me out like a lot. I'm deleting that right now. I, I'm going cold turkey. Yeah, I'm going cold turkey, too, because once she said that, I was like, that freaks me out so bad. Because everyone was like, everyone was like, going crazy, like $55,000 and 50. And then the girl was like, that's $4, $30 meal, like one meal. That's $30. Sorry, I'm going to try to laugh. I'm just like, and like, um, every week. I think if I genuinely added up all of the eating out money I spent, I would have like genuinely have a hard attack, I think. Oh, wait, no. Oh, let me give you a lot better. I just personally know that the money that I'm spending on, oh, I mean, I can click. That's like, yeah. Yeah. That's literally making my face hot. Well, okay. $50 a day. I'm deleting it. Yeah. Maybe it was $55,000. Maybe it was $5,500. No, $55,000. $150 a day. That's a lot. That is a lot. I did just delete everything because they're just ain't right. It ain't right. Okay. That actually made me feel a lot better. Sorry. My mouth was like, hello, wrong. You guys guys don't talk to this just a lexic person. Okay. Um, that's for damn sure when it comes to like anything math related. $150 a day. It's just fucking frying me. Because it's still kind of fierce. Oh, yeah. I'm still too to root. No, right. Not as bad as $55 million. That was a million dollars. Oh, yeah. But I was like, oh, I think I'm horrible. I'm not buying that much a week, but still somehow I think I spent $55,000, like that makes sense to me. Oh, well, when she said that. Does that make sense? Yeah, I meant $55,000 to your own food. Yes, that does. It does. It does. I think I do. No, you don't. I think, I think, I think, I think that the idea that I even could imagine a world where that is true tells me that I'm somewhere I don't want to be already. You know what I mean? Because even if it was 25,000, I would be like, that's an apartment. Oh, yeah. More than that. That's someone's salary. Yeah. Yeah. We're not, we're not really doing that. No, real, no. It feels like it though. It feels like it in the excessive, in the excessive nature of like, why can I not just cook food in meal prep? Well, it's deeper than that, but that's why I'm saying food addiction because my, I do feel very like I know for a fact, but I've just never really liked that with it too long that my food buying going out and eating is fully a dopamine practice. Like I love food and I love obviously, I mean, we talked about this before, but like the sociality of it and like there is a social aspect to going out to eat, but there's a dopamine there. Yeah. That I am mining. And then it's just like damn, yeah, it just all turns to shit. Yeah, there's like an instant gratification gratification. And there's like a wally aspect. I mean, I just went through like five places in my head right now that I'd be excited to go to. Oh, I just feeling got off. Yeah. No, it's okay. I've been literally thinking about the KFC chicken pot pie, like non-stop chicken pot pie. Yeah. KFC for soft. Well, the $5 bowl, dude. Well, they have a mac and cheese bowl with like tenders on like like popcorn chicken on talk that's like literally so good.
But the KFC chicken pot pie is so good. - Wait, is this something they brought back because I feel like I've seen this before, but Dad asked when I was like a child. - They also have a chicken fried steak. - That chicken pot pie looks good at shit, but I did buy one from Sprouts in the freezer. - Thank you. - Well, that's gonna say, I'm like, I feel like if you tapped into even the freezing of it all, you would like- - The frozen foods. - The frozen foods? 'Cause I feel like I run up the frozen foods. - Yeah, 100%. - I have like having just like, you know, like breakfast sandwiches or like something that you can just warm up and put in the microwave. - Yeah. - I feel like definitely like helps out. - No, totally. - Um, but yeah, we're going to Spain. So, oh, we're going to Spain with Tanner and Andrew. - Yeah. - With the tea, which is about to actually like, it's gonna heal, no pressure. - It's gonna heal so crazy, but the key's gonna be actually one to be studied. It's going to be so fun and we're going to a vineyard. We're going with Campo Viejo. - Shout out. - Shout out. And it's a shout out. - Shout out. - Like my friend who's been speaking, but she just made up this whole morning. - I know. - Love. - I'm just like, something's happening to me. - Girl, it's okay. - But with that being said, I'm gonna be the vineyard like this. - No, and I just, you know what's really, 'cause nobody wants to talk about mental health anymore, but I know it's bad when drinking scares me. Or I don't see that in like, I'm not saying that, either in like, that came from a place of alcohol being very normalized. Obviously, but I mean that in the sense of, I know my anxiety is really bad when I think about drinking. I'm like, I'm scared. Which is like, damn. 'Cause the glass of wine could be relaxing. Probably would be relaxing, but I'm like, that's how you know you will not old, but there's just a lot of things to worry about these days. It feels. Getting for me, I know it's bad when I like literally didn't get up until, out of bed until 9 a.m. - Girl, that's still pretty good. I'll give you that. - Validating, validating what that means to you, but also just, no, that's not a failure. That's still pretty early. - I know, but I just feel like once it's 9 a.m., like it's cooked. - That's me with 10. (laughs) I mean, now we're off. No, 'cause once it gets double digit the day's over. - No, no, double digits, it's like we're done, right? 'Cause it just makes some noise, seriously. Like, please make some noise. - Yeah. 'Cause I just feel like just anything. - Yeah. Yeah. (laughs) - Yeah. - Yeah. - That's synchronized, yes. We did Halloween. Well, you did Halloween more nights. I came to Halloween more nights with Tanner. Shout out. - Shout out Tanner. - Shout out Tanner, man. - I'm shutting out Tanner. - Shout out. - I'm shutting out Evan too. I'm shutting out Evan. - I'm shutting out Evan. - Yeah. - Evan. - Evan, we're through the house is twice. Here's the thing. - Walking backwards. - Walking backwards, mind you. And I'm shutting out Universal Studios because they like hooked up that experience so crazy, like genuinely. - Yeah, seriously. - The hospitality from the Universal team is unlike anything I've ever experienced. - They got us together. They're literally so nice. And we're like insane. Like the experience we had was crazy. We're, we have like a whole video coming out. - Well, 'cause the video, I know and I'm like, maybe we'll be out. We don't know yet. We'll be out. - By the time it comes out. If it does, if it's not out. - Get ready. - Get ready. 'Cause genuinely that has to go down in history as one of the funniest videos of all time because of the diaspora that was happening within that video is just absolutely insane. - I'm excited to see the, I'm so excited to see that footy. - Oh, the footy, wait, Evan. Oh, Evan's gone. (laughing) I need Evan to weigh in. - Evan knows. - I'm like, because genuinely that footage is insane because essentially what happened was, Tanner and I went through two houses and then Maya, you filmed like a muck doing some shots. - Yeah, just trying. - I was eating the food, which I'm also gonna shout out the chef because he, like mind you, universal makes like, I don't know how much of their stuff, but a lot of it, he was telling me his in-house, like they grind up their own spices, like and maybe those burnt ends. - So good. - Those burnt ends and that bread pudding that actually, I literally told the chef to his face, "Baby, you should be selling that, like I was like off the record, like you need to open a store front." - Yeah. - 'Cause whatever you guys are doing here is something, it's beyond theme park food. Like it's something transcendent, very decadent. - Yeah, like I don't know. I feel like they are really taking the food game too. - They are taking the food game. - A whole other level, like baby, the flavors, the combinations, the things that we had, but the barbecue was like insane. - The barbecue was so insane. - Oh my God. - The walking taco frito pie was insane. They were just turning up nasty stuff. - Yes, I was eating, sorry. - Feeling got awful. - The walking taco frito pie, you have to get, it's literally so good. - It is so good. - The drinks. - The burnt entry. Mind you, they started me off talking about moonshine. - Girl, the last time I had moonshine, I broke out in Hives. - Well, and that's the thing. - But I was also on like a four-day bender in Nashville, so. - Okay, well, and then, and then when you, and then, no, I, for about the first five minutes of that video, was like, I have a decision to make here. - Yeah. - But then I was gonna meet you guys at the territory, and I was like, if I'm drunk on the, 'cause at that point, I just had no idea what the vibe was gonna be in terms of how scary it was gonna be. So I was like, if I'm drunk on the territory, I'm like, I'm punching somebody in the face. - Yeah. - For sure. - And I know that, and I restrain, you see. I wonder how many people actually get punched in the face. I was just like a reaction, you know? - I feel like very, very slim. - I hope so. - Well, one time, for my big- - For my big-out, I was like, well, my dad, in Arizona, I don't know if you guys grew up doing this, but there's so many, like, haunted houses. - In Arizona? - Yeah, like big, like, Halloween, or night, like, production type, like haunted houses. And we would like, go to all of them, or at least we would try. - You were trained. - Well, no, but I was with my dad. So, like, you know what I mean? - Yeah. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, sure. - Like, I would just like hide my face in his shirt. - Right. - But, like, my dad is, he was, like, horror the house down. - Right. - Like, loves a horror movie, loves a horror experience, love. Like, he would have lived for Halloween Horror Nights. Oh my God. - The bravest among us. - Oh, he would have lived. But, there was one that was, like, so scary. They talked about it on the radio. That's how you know. - Well, but, no, every scary house was on the radio. - But literally, it was, like, on the radio, they're, like, it's so scary, whatever. I think it was called, like, Lilith or something. I don't know. Anyways, we went and we, like, waited in the line. The line was so long. Oh, love. And anyways, the first guy that popped out, my dad did almost punch him. And I remember that was the first time I ever felt, like, really, like, oh, dad, like, why would you? And my dad was like, I'm so sorry. Like, I'm sorry. - Well, and that's real. - Yeah, but the guy, like, was doing too much. Like, I'm sorry, because it's like, I feel like, when you jump out, you have to, like, jump and then do your big one. - Yeah. - Because it's like, if someone, as if we watch the footage back, as the jumpy one, who literally tore Tanner up in a way that will be studied, like, turned him every which way, but lose literally. - Seriously. - Yeah. Like, I do think there's a, like, you know, you have to be careful versus, like, when you went to the, - Uh-huh. - The escape room. - Right, right. - That was, like, terror to another level. - Because genuinely though, I will say as a girl who's always too scared to do any of that, like, the experiences where they can touch you. After going through the terror tram and having the experience of, it is scary and you are, like, sweating and stuff, but, you know, if you really stood there for real, like, they're not gonna do too much 'cause they can't put you in a body pack and drag you through the house. So, like, those experiences, to me, are just doing too much because it's like, oh, there's not, like, sure, there's, like, a boundary, but there's not really that much of a boundary. Like, I feel like the illusion between y'all are doing this and then, like, we're doing this is just not there. In the same way that at hornites, it's like, yeah, you can pop out, but, like, even the girls with the chainsaws, like, when you stand there, they just, like, go in a circle, they're like, yeah, it's like, it's when they get, like, really close to you. I think for me, the scariest part was when we went through the sinners house specifically because the auditory sensation of it being surround sound. So, you're hearing, like, voices and, like, loud-ass, like, creek noises behind you. So, you just feel so unsafe the whole time. Like, you're, like, someone's behind me. Someone's here, it's, like, dark here, I see eyes. You're, like, something's happening over here. And the whole time, I was just, like, if I was really in a horror-ass situation, like, a monster tried to, like, a vampire, anyone bitch. Like, I'm not serving you, like, Bella and Edward, like, baby, they gon' take. It's not only take, I mean, they would, they will get found out though. The way I'm screaming is just, like, no, something's off. Mama, you don't stand a chance. Like, hey, we're literally, I, I don't even know. I was screaming my ass off, literally jumping my ass off at one point. I just started running through the house. Simply, yeah. Simply. So, it's just one of them tangs where I just feel as though when we run back the footy, I'm actually going to be jumping in Tanner's arms. - No, I'm so excited. - And I know Alex is, like, listening to that volume too. Like, thank you. It's just really, it's gonna be-- - Oh, the sound guy just had a time. - Just absolutely feeling awful, just feeling awful. - I'm really excited about that though, and it was really, really fun, and we did get heckled a lot, but whatever. - Guys. - We got heckled so bad, actually. - The IRL.
streamers like the people who take their stream to the streets. I don't know how they did that because mind you. We're like not doing too much like we literally are just like two cameras, a boom mic. We were just like you know we were just trying to like get the content and like film and then we also had like universal helping us out. So we're not like ruining people's experiences. And we're also not like running around and being crazy. We're very much standing outside rides like yeah. So that was crazy. Yeah doing the post game interview type shit and the way that there's probably somewhere in the world that I don't use Twitter. So like because it's simply like I can't do that to myself. But I know there has to be a thread or like a hidden TikTok or a hidden something or like just we're in people's camera rolls because when Tanner and I first started and we were like walking to the next house. There were so many kids who were literally just taking photos of us. And I was like you guys are going to be very disappointed to find out that we're actually just podcasters and not like high synat streamer university. Yeah. But then I'm like how do like someone like Kai or like speed or just anyone who goes IRL streaming like how are you okay I would be so scared. I think there's an aspect of being okay with being like a public nuisance as well though you know the girls got their start being a little like rambunctious in the street. So I feel like there's for them there's maybe like a baked in nonchalantness about that that is not inherent to our specific job where it's like we aren't in public filming ever. And like I'm just thinking about when we were going up the escalator and that lady was like we see you we see you. I know yes you and I was like awe I was like I was like we were not even wait we're like not like girl that just gagged me so bad because I was like okay yes we all feel silly K we feel a little silly too you know like we're not trying to like me and anyone not just for real like we're real but I was like damn what does that do. I don't know I don't yeah I was like trying to figure that out because I was like it's one thing I feel like if we were like trolling or like messing up other people's experiences than like 1000% like get on that ass you know what I mean. But I was just like wait why is this like offensive? Well it was just like she was like a grown lady. She was not only grown. Yeah look at us she was like someone's mava. Well like and simply and she had like her grown kids with and simply and I was just like mom miss mama and I was like I know you see us and we're like embarrassed about it that's why we're whispering. We're just trying to get to the tarotram. You can see us on the tarot. No it's just feeling got awful. Feeling like that was like one moment where I was like ooh if I could like melt I would melt right now. Well that was a moment where I was like I cannot the public shape an IRL streamer where I know go out and do shit. Oh could barely be on camera like genuinely was barely I was like yes that was really fun and like yeah that was like cool. If you weren't there I would be like I can't do it. I simply can't. Yeah. Yeah. No that had me in my reality TV bag real crazy. Oh yeah cause that's true. Like I was like okay but I mean I guess when you're like filming for reality TV they like set up probably. Yeah it's a little more you know like we wouldn't just be like walking around like yeah like universal stew now they just like set up a scene for you to like talk and like hash it out. And like happy for them. She just gagged it. No like damn. She gagged it so nasty. That was like were you silent or were you silent? I was like silent. Absolutely silence y'all they're worries. And then there was like this random man who like walked up alongside us and was like showing like trying to show the camera his tattoo and I was like but we're not locked. And I let him. I know. But like you didn't know what to do I was like I like he was like can you tell him to show the tattoo and I was like sure. I was yeah I was like yeah can you show his tattoo like I don't know. Yeah like I was like I mean I guess we can but like just like when a tattered man pulls up on you on your right and you just went through the terror tram and you're like what okay yeah no really we were like I mean I guess it's nothing to phone home about what I was like yeah we're absolutely not live but sure yeah we're absolutely not live this is just like even if we were live like what would that do like you should have shot it out your tagging type shit if you're like you should have been like y'all like you know well that's what I mean I don't think he was just feeling got awful. He's feeling got awful but I mean that is where the young host go to like Kiki Kuku. Right but he wasn't a young host. No that wasn't old. He was a middle-aged show. He was an old old. Which it's fine you're allowed to still be lit about your tattoos but I was just like damn like I like genuinely how do I word thing that says we are not streaming. No I wish like we are not streaming. We are not streaming. This will be edited in like guys everyone who like tried to like shout they should out I'm sorry. We are just pot. We're simply podcasters and the kids who have photos of me I know you're not. The kids are literally like are they streamers and I was like no because I'm just like guys. Well it just like set me that this kid specifically where this first all started was we were like waiting and to get into the center's house and he kept like going to me and be like like being like I'm taking your photo and I literally was like you're gonna be so upset when you like Google reverse image my shit and then like you go to my Instagram and I'm just serving you like. Well I also just kept thinking because we were with the universe will go shout out. I just out of the universe will like because they were just absolutely taking it. But I was just weak thinking because I was like guys what if this was just like a promo for Universal yeah we're not even serving like I don't know I was just like do we look like streamers I probably okay that's fair yeah I mean canter's outfit was so tea that like no they were probably like you simply must but I was just think cuz I was like damn we're with the whole Universal team like what if we're just filming like a promo like come out to Hollywood or at night like I don't know I was just embarrassed at the game it was so no it was still so fun but I was like guys genuinely nothing to write home about nothing to write home about please put your calls away put your calls away and put your phones away because those photos of me like it's just like it's just like I'm just like y'all are gonna post those and you'd be like that's just no in their past I know it I know whatever like group chat was like a mid-off okay sure um like yeah but the coolest part of that whole thing I mean all the houses were so tea the Aussie house was fucking scary as shit right shout out Aussie
Which y'all are gonna see what happened to me in that house. I got yanked bitch. They blew my wig back But we did the what was it the purge purge water show millennial optimism? Spladoosh like fucking bitch. They were in that whole light. Are you serious? It was actually the theater is alive and well It is alive and well the lasers are alive and well like it was Explained it was absolutely spectacle. That's a perfect word for that It was literally like a water show, but it was the purge themed and they were doing theater acting you know where it was like Oh, it's the purge night and we're like da da da da da da and the whole thing was that this group of people gets like Not ransacked when I shot it like over thrown almost by like the purge people who were like we hate the 1% and like y'all must die Because it was like the guy who made the purge whatever Mind you they came in on jet skis and they were like shoot like just King like over things and like over each other Shooting at each other falling off. Like fucking ten flows it explodes it's fire. It was just Millennial optimism and then at the end they like did they even kill the guy the main guy they did They got the 1% guy and they literally all got in the middle and they like put their fist up like they were like Like we were all yeah, they're like we all they were like, well, they were doing the opposite They were doing the opposite. They were doing like bands together. It's the purge people point. Sorry. The 1% were like we Don't like actually And there were a bunch of like it was just it was absolutely spectacular It was so good if we can put that in there, but it was just like if you guys get the chance to watch it I mean you just if you had the chance to change your face the dives the dives this girl They the arm like his arm fell off does that make sense like they that's what I mean They would like cut someone and then it would be like the biggest splash of blood and then like someone's like whole ass like lag I'm no literally this diva was hanging like genuinely 20 feet in the air and they like shot her in her arm state And then she like but it was just gaggy crazier. It was crazier is absolutely crazier Um, and they do it like every couple hours. Well, I know I wonder if they like stand in a dryer I don't know. I would have been dead exhausted is all I know 100% I couldn't do half the things they were doing in that show Yeah, they didn't even look shopping what oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. See it's so tea you have to It's a high-spot glorious. It's just a weird-looking word Wait, where are the Jetski? I mean like I wasn't there look the Jetski's Watching again, baby. They were so dead. Hey Bull girl shot up millennials. Hey, oh wow. Oh, just feeling got awful We go out the blur half that but like just feeling got awful Big water. It's water and stunts y'all but the Jetskies The fire that was hot like that when they're like Like we rise. Oh my gosh. I mean y'all it was so tea They are taking Halloween hornets. I did not know that they took it there. Yeah The water world. I wonder what it is usually without all that purge stuff But yeah, it was really gaggy. They gagged it. So it was really gaggy. So shout out millennials This is gonna be so late but shout out millennials because I keep talking about the VMAs and how we're cooked, but we did you watch it? No, okay Guys, if you watch the VMA sound off below because I just personally am feeling like we are in such an error of late CH capitalism that it's like Is mainstream art mainstream art alive or no? Well, okay, Taylor Swift won an award that they made up that was the I don't want to misquote it, but it I think it's like the artist who directs her videos or something where we're googling Was it an award or like a recognition because it wasn't like something that you could be voted for necessarily Yeah, VMA art director honors Because she directs a lot of her music videos now she was saying and she was just making a speech about how you know She loves directing music videos because the fans love them and all this thing and they played like a whole video sharing her director music videos and saying like, you know She's a powerhouse in the industry and all these things Which is true. Yeah, I mean she's powerful But like I mean if I had a billion dollars I too could like direct a shit ten of my own music videos Because you could literally be like scrap it. I don't I want 65 like million girls in absolute like just Sorosti crystal I can't even say it different talks bracket. Um, but yeah, I mean I did I will I watched it because shout out Keelan obviously a shout out Keelan killing performed with Madonna and Madonna Just a lot of things but I was watching it because Keelan performed with Madonna and then I ended up watching the whole thing Just kind of like you know because the word shows used to be fun and shit and it's just one of them things where it's like okay I wonder I think we're just kind of at a time again where we are Just waiting again. I keep I feel like I've been saying this the whole time about the podcast, but just Waiting for the Renaissance, you know what I mean like waiting for I think we've had a lot of really cool new artists We're doing new things, but then it just sucks because you see the VMAs and you're like oh it was like a sweet Yeah, like it was a Taylor Swift Madonna sweet. I feel this way about I was reading um About how this is like the most like the box office has just been like booming Because there's so many new yeah directors like yeah 30 and under who have been like making yeah I mean like the horror genres and like yeah even prime time they were talking about I think that guy was 30 Damn made that movie that's crazy and it like Gen Z like pulled the fuck up like they're ready made their budget and Well, yeah for it and stuff cool and I'm like I'm taking hope in that no for surely the next gen making stuff and creating stuff But yeah, I just you know everything is very it's very cyclical yeah Cyclical but also kind of like a pendulum in a way like I think I don't know I mean not that the VMAs is like a marker of everything that's happening in the music industry But I think it's always just again the frustration of like mainstream art versus Not mainstream art like what that looks like where money talks and how these like Things offer some artists more power and accessibility and capabilities and other people, but um It's just like yeah, I'm still watching Taylor Swift get awards, which is awesome Yeah, but I mean in the same way I think you know I Have a respect for Taylor Swift in her place in the music and cultural zeitgeist as Somebody who represents like that mainstream audience who obviously speaks to a lot of people So like can't take that away from her and then also offers something to be in opposition from as artists as somebody who kind of just like embodies It's like very mainstream like When she debuted that new mother fucking song on that shit. I was like And the girls said go back to the drawing well the slam poetry, but then it's like at the same time there are people who really resonate with that And for that I'm a shut the fuck up. Well, I think the general consensus from at least the girls that I saw From the Gen Z TikTok perspective. Yeah of the girls who are just like love you Taylor Um from like, you know the folklore evermore era, but I'm a just have to wait until she gets her divorce with Travis, which I hope never happened. Oh, wow. There's a family episode about that really Yeah, we're Taylor Swift starts dating Chris Griffin, but then like at the final moment there It was like she went on stage and saying about loving him and everyone started throwing shit at her So then he was like I'm gonna break up with you and they were like Thanks, that's real love I feel like I broke up with him and then I was like, whoa That is fucking crazy when happening for years. Yeah, well, I mean, yeah, been happening for years I mean, I think that like her music right now is like just whatever she's doing Whatever she's doing, whatever she's doing, you know, I appreciate her as somebody who For me Like I listened to that song and I was kind of like Anything's possible. Yeah, I mean, well, I think that also too After I think there was a point in your career and any person's career where there's like a fear there You know what I mean a fear that like I need to make this shit like boom clap snap or like I'm out And they're like putting the next person in and I feel like she's just ran so far ahead now that she's just like I mean, she's quite literally just doing shit You know what I mean like she's literally just like Cleveland sure Ohio sure bitch Like Did you see the music video? No, okay, well But then what I mean like I just like if I too was like crazy like out of touch and having my meat imported from like Switzerland Well, she's also just like a millennial Yeah, how can I say it because honestly as somebody who like I will open myself up to any experience that I put myself through and like I watched the music video And I was like okay girl is gaggy like she was serving like it was Dakota Johnson and it was giving The whole like the whole premise was like there's this girl and she's kind of like Taylor's like over her shoulder singing like oh He did this for you like yeah, I know about that he did that so I was like oh cable the gag at the end is gonna be that like You know obviously she's dating this man, but this is like the ghost before her of like the woman that's like girl like you know whatever like
I thought the gag was like, she's gonna pop up at the end like, girl, he did all that for me too. And like, girl thought Kim like, we out. And this is where like Taylor and I differ because the ending was in fact that like, no, she quite literally was a ghost. Like it turned into like he killed Taylor Swift. And so like the song was not just like, oh, girl, watch out, it was like, bitch, I'm like dead. Like I'm like, wait, girl, like hold on. And it was like the guy was like killing all his girlfriends. And at the end it was like, I'm sorry, it's not funny. But at the end it was like a newspaper that was like, he was found dead, like that and then Dakota Johnson's like, boom, like it's like he's trying to kill her. Oh shit, okay, word. And see, it's like, what is this? And this was about Cleveland. Why, why, why? No, I don't know, I'm sorry. I was just thinking about it. What, what is this for? The wine where she's like, and then when I told them and then you and then when we, you know, I don't even know what I was talking about. I thought that was Cleveland, no. Oh, I have no idea what that song's called. But she premiered the music video on the VMAs. Oh, well, yes, 'cause she was saying she's patient zero. I didn't even hear that song. Baby, okay, I know we're gonna have to leave it, but I need you to hear it. But also it's the, also I saw this comment actually. Well, my boyfriend showed me this comment that was saying like, I know there are a couple, like weeks ahead or something, but I wonder when they're gonna talk about Taylor Swift. And I literally said to him, I was like, we're not gonna talk about Taylor Swift. And I'm like, player of the song. It's the one, have you seen the clip of the two girls? And they're like this. Like they're like trying to react and everyone's being like girl. Okay, well, I am excited for you to hear patient zero. Well, 'cause I Cleveland, that's the one that everyone was like, what fucking song? Well, what is my friend? What is my friend? Who like loves is like Taylor, 10 toes down. Was there any like Taylor? I love you, but I'm gonna have to see you like next. Can't wish her demise. Like I fear this might just be what it is. No, there's a react to the music video. The third but you see the third video. Oh, we can react to the music video on Patreon. Oh, so we don't have to blur anything. Perfect. Oh, wait, pause it. No, just let's just stop. Let's just stop. We're just, we're gonna have to do it on Patreon because I need your whole reaction. Wait, I want you to listen to this Cleveland song. It's pretty not good. But yeah, so it's just like yeah. But I appreciate that it's camp, I feel rejecting of more so her symbol, like what she symbolizes in terms of like capitalism's relationship to music and just like that more. That is more where I'm like deadass, like your about to piss me off. Yeah. Just like if this was just somebody who made that song and it was just like unknown, I would be like, I salute your campness. I do. There is someone that I found that like did this. And K, shout out K, shout out K poyer. Shout out K girl. But K posted on her story about some girl who like made a song and I kept listening to it being like, 'cause she was like, K was like, oh, she's Fab is hell. And I was listening to this shit and I'm like, yeah, like this is kind of Fab, but like also I'm like, hello, listening to this shit, like my brain is like spinning. (laughs) Well, maybe that's why it's Fab. Oh girl, they have me thinking this was the damn video. I was like, okay. Ciao. I'm having a cat. Oh, Andrew Garfield on Good Hang or whatever. This is the lyrics. Did you see Mike? Okay, whatever, sorry, just whatever. Oh. No way. I mean, we could watch the rest later, but the one we're already seeing. Because Loki, Haley William, misogyning nachos. Well, I don't know the context of that lyric, but I'm like, did we? Here's the thing, it's just not a good song. She's kind of reheating nachos. She's, immediately, she's reheating Haley. It's not just that Haley Williams has since called misogynistic, but like, you know, obviously iconic. Iconic-ass. Fucking song. But no, I couldn't even dare touch her. Who? Miss Haley. Oh. Sister. Yeah, sister Haley. No, I think, but this is like, here's the thing. I think that like Taylor, like Patience Zero, child. Like, I think Taylor sees Olivia Rodrigo and genuinely shakes her fist into the air. I mean, my thing, though, too, is like, I have, at the end of the day, like, seriously, on some human, as a human. I have empathy for the fact that like, Taylor Swift, for example, reminds you, like, the Mount Rushmore of people that we threw up in the golden fucking cage. And it's like, she's simply, at this point, can't have an normal life. No, and I can't fault her for not having any real references. 'Cause that's what I mean, like, I feel as though, listen, y'all know, if you've listened to the podcast for real for real, and this is not your first listen, you know that I've listened. I miss Taylor, miss Taylor. She has some hitters for me. And I mean, albums. She has some ever more folklore, no motherfucking skips. Like, she was going through some shit there. And she was. Here's the thing. I feel like, though, if I'm allowed to just have, like, a moment of critique, I think that, yeah. It's just like a little, she's like a little too far gone in the sense that she's blived this life since she was what, like, 15, 16, and then not only that, but then men have been talking about wanting to have their way with her at that age. And like, literally having countdowns for her 18th birthday and stuff, like actual, like, disgusting shit, not only that, but then you're talked about for who you've dated and all your ex-boyfriends and like, oh, you'll get turned into a song, all this shit did it not. Shamed her, the house down boots where it's like, I think that like her like, this is my fight. You know what I do? Like, take back my life, Saul. Take back my life, Saul. Like, you don't mind you. I just feel like she's had to create her own world and situation and whatever. And I think that she's just like in this era of life where she's finally like, has a man for real who she's like engaged or married to. Oh, married. Oh my god, yeah, they got married. At the time squared of her. Yeah, that she's married to. And she has Madison Square, Madison Square. I mean, how do you have a wedding inside Madison? But again, well, and you do anything for T-Swiz. That also seems like a really incant, maybe because it's so high security. But again, that's what I'm saying, though, is it's like, quite literally, there's a, there's a, there's like, there's many thresholds of fame, but like that threshold is just, I personally don't know if there's any amount of money in the world. I, the only reason that I think I could for some, I would not want this like genuinely. So let me, I'm just like, universal. So you know, this is not what I'm asking for, but like the only reason I could maybe be an a-list celebrity right now, like Harry Styles getting fucking ran after on the street type shit is because I've lived enough life to where I have, like, people around me that is kind of like, okay, these are like my people and we're locked in. If I was like, Zendaya Taylor Swift, like, I've been famous and seen since I was a fucking kid, like, there hasn't been like a part of adulthood that wasn't touched by this. Like, what's the word I'm looking for? Like, saying like this, not expectation, but like, just like this lifestyle, I just don't know if there's any amount of money in the world. And that's why I'm like, when Taylor starts singing about, just like, La-di-da, like, sky blue, ground, like, my feet in the soil. I'm like, well, simply because, damn, like, you can't even go to Whole Foods for real. Well, that's what I mean. Like, I feel like all she can talk about is what she's currently experiencing. And things she's thinking about in her agency. Well, she's zero. Yeah, which is why I feel like her music, especially like the breakup, the love songs, or like, whatever of the sort, like, hit so crazy, 'cause it's like, yeah, girl, you got put through a trench. Well, and that's that universal shit. Yeah, that's that universal shit that you can talk about. Evan's back. Evan. Evan. Do you want to talk about Halloween or anything? Um, yeah. Yeah. So it's just one of them things where I'm like, sending you off with love, but-- Yeah, we are gonna like, giggle a little bit, just a little sometimes. And I'm focusing my attention to miss all of them. And it's just like, if we guys can stop flying private, then I'm like, I'll think about letting y'all, you know what I mean? I just, with the humidity in the air right now, dead ass, if I see another post about a 17-minute private jet, right? I'm seriously about to freak the fuck out. Yeah, guys. I'm about to freak the fuck out. We cannot be flying from Calabastas. I think we-- Oh, yeah. We like bitch, we French. No, me. It looks like unless you're-- Let's not listen to this right now. I'm like, yeah, all right. All of a sudden, I'm like, no, it's fine. Like, we and we're gonna stop, too. Yeah. We're gonna stop right now. Um, we're gonna stop our 17-minute private jets. Like, guys. Well, like, literally, Calabastas. I've had it. To San Diego. Like, that's, can you and Lee a car drive? That's what, like, whatever we don't even get into that. No, no, no. That one's not even like, that one's gaggy as shit. But it's like, OK, that's like, for our. car ride. I don't, genuinely, I'm not even going to try and rationalize it. It's fucking stupid. But if we want to take it going from Calabasis to Glendale, that makes me genuinely want to like, actually like, yeah, that's like sick. There's nothing I could say that would be allowed to go on this like, public platform. But that should generally makes me want to like, wow, why would you do that for real? Like we all in a, if you're in it, girl, you could literally have someone drive you. My dream, my dream. Girl, and literally get like, you have like a bus down Bundelieu, like Maybach music ass like Mercedes girl, I'd literally just put the heat cedar on turn up in the back, eat y'all take my nap and then like, like you do not need to get it from Calabasis to Glendale in 17 minutes. You just don't in the air. In the air, you don't need to get there in 17 minutes. And we have to worry about a fucking road. It's just like whatever man. Yeah, whatever. Since nobody cares. Okay. Well, okay. And now there's like mosquitoes and shit. All right. Well, we're taking, we're taking it to Patreon. Right. We're the rest of the episode. But Taylor slipped reaction video. Taylor says reaction. I'm so excited for you to see. I wish, if I had known, I wish I wouldn't have spoiled it. I'm feeling gone off about it. Okay. Well, that doesn't even bother me. And I guess we could watch Cleveland while we're at it. Well, that's looking like a vlog. Well, that's what I mean, period. Millennial optimism. Millennial optimism. Exposed break. Let your neighborhood. My neighborhood watch is going to be at secret lives of Mormon wives. I mean, you know, like I'm talking about like all this shit, but I'm like, listen, y'all. In another life, if I just like show time to be Mormon, here's thing. I guess. If in Arizona, I lock the fucking and let the white man keep me down, I too would have been on secret lives of Mormon wives. I too could have done it. But here's the thing. I mean, these girls are absolutely gagging the shit out of me. This like this season was like so insane. Um, Chessie is so messy. Michaela, Michaela Matthews to the front. Thank you. Macy, thank you. Layla, girl, you gay. No, I'm kidding. We know. We know she gay. Um, and I love that for you. You know, it always takes a good, it just takes one girl to show you how shit all most men. Sorry, I'll say most because there's a few. There's a few out there that I'm like, that's you're loving someone very lesbianly. And at the end of the day, if you're someone who's straight and dates men, you just need a man who's going to love you lesbianly. And that's the T at the end of the day. Yeah, you get loved lesbian. Oh, I was like, oh yeah, you get loved. Well, um, I was like, I was like, we're spicy. I was like, oh my god, yeah, I'm like this. Um, like my favorite watch is family guy. Thank you because we need. That's my prescription for you. Family guy. We'll see. And that's the thing. That's all five apps. Five apps. Okay. Oh, it's a family guy. I've been trying to get back into my reality TV era. There's some thousand pound sisters waiting for me. I just like genuinely get when I feel like so depressed and sad and like literally hate my life. I just have to watch some shit that's like, wait, my life isn't even that much of a mess. Oh, well, let me offer you the opposite, which is just brain off family guy. I forget every time like perfected. They have just, oh, maybe you won't like it because it is stupid, but they've perfected like the stupid ass joke. Like they be making jokes that you literally be like, that's hilarious. Like they're actually hilarious. I'm so sorry. Um, and I've just been back in the ancient text just like, you know, very much as the mental health has been a little like, huh? They've been actually getting me together so crazy. Okay, maybe I'll tap into some family little doses of just like funny shit. Just funny. Some bullshit. Just some bullshit. But like love shout out, um, Seth, right? Seth McFarlane? Yeah.
