Leaving David for Mr. Beast

David and Natalie share a candid, emotionally charged therapy-style conversation while traveling in Norway, highlighting both the chaotic realities of their busy schedule and the personal tensions that arise from miscommunication and perceived betrayal. They confront issues of trust, such as Natalie allegedly lying about their schedules and social interactions, particularly during a spontaneous club visit where David felt emotionally isolated. The discussion shifts to broader themes of friendship, social dynamics, and personal pride—David expresses frustration over being mocked in group settings and questions his financial worth, joking about joining Mr. Beast’s team for a 1.5x salary. They also reflect on their experience in Norway, where unexpected, warm connections with strangers created a sense of belonging. The episode touches on cultural reflections, from Michael Jackson’s enduring legacy to the historical draft and its relevance today, before ending on a positive note as they prepare to return to LA. Natalie expresses excitement about their iconic location at Dobrik’s Pizza and the potential for future media appearances, underscoring their growing influence and the emotional weight of their journey. The conversation balances humor, vulnerability, and ambition, revealing both the challenges and the deep personal connections that define their partnership.

stuck in we are stuck in norway we're not stuck in norway uh well i mean stuck it's because it's just me and you there's no one here okay that's okay this is actually one of my bones that i want to pick with you okay i don't know what you're gonna say but okay so jason's out here right now we're in norway we go back to we have such a busy month it's kind of crazy we have so much to do and we're behind on the vlogs surprise surprise it happened um we missed a week may miss another we just i we can't edit from here we can't like talk communicate with our editors properly we have a vlog that we edited that i don't even really want to put out it's sort of like a chill vlog i may put it on the second channel um so yeah i don't know i don't know i'm like i don't want to go into the vlog discussion because yeah god knows okay anyway vlog coming soon in a week and a two i'm never i'm not stopping vlogging anytime soon so i'm trying to say but there may be breaks here and there that are like a week or two long um okay so just don't be scared um what were we talking okay go ahead you can start it off okay well i just want to talk about your sentiment towards me you know because number one you are so motherfucking lucky that you have me in your life it's actually crazy like how you just stumbled upon me in the neighborhood in vernon hills now we're here together traveling working this is your mom talking no it's not i if you if you gave me any like ounce of gratitude or like appreciation then i wouldn't care i do i do give you appreciation when you can't just because you say one nice thing out of 20 that are fucking horrid okay hold on time out time out time out time out time out time out well i'm not gonna defend myself you just said you're trapped here with me like god forbid you're here with your best friend and we're hanging out okay first of all you really doesn't feel like i'm here with my best friend because you've been fucking lying to me all day because you're you're it's fucking psychotic dude it's like natalie last night we were last night we were i mean this is gonna sound crazy but we were out last night and against my will i'm like i need to remind you because well first of all now i was like let's go for a walk and get food i was like great we were in the hotel all day so i'll go and then we noticed like a small like club vibey area like here in norway and i was like let's go everything is dead silent here and there was this one club like in the middle of the park in the most abnormal place ever it was almost like a beer garden in a festival but it's in the middle of this like beautiful town yeah it just didn't make any sense but it was operating like a club like they were playing abba and all the best american hits yeah like it was very david it was like there was they were like summoning you like we know there was like beers beers were the drinks it was like crazy it was very very david like like i was i really really dug in it was like you could chill you could hang out smoke sit it just felt it felt good and i was there natalie and i'm like i told now let's get one drink obviously we ran into a couple people um we walk in i'm like david we shouldn't go in like i know i know where this is gonna lead like we're gonna be here for hours and we walk in immediately there's young people like everyone's having fun and i'm like looking around i'm like oh i'm fucked yeah natalie was like did you look in there it's only like 50 and 60 year olds i was like yeah i don't care i just want like i want like the vibe of having a beer in norway and a cigarette my mistake i believed you i thought we were gonna go in for one well i thought you were right i thought it was just all like 50 year olds and then we met like these like 20 28 year olds that were that literally bumped right into us they're like you want to join our table and i looked at natalie and i was like uh-oh so then uh yeah we joined their table oh my god we were like oh my god we were like oh my god we were like oh my god so funny because like we're like all the way across the world and it's just you and i and like these like i feel like everywhere we go there's like random friend groups that sort of just like absorb us that adopt us adopt us like for an evening or a weekend or whatever it's really funny like all the random that is kind of interesting and they like and it's very normal like i'm sitting there i'm talking to every single one of their friends like i've known them my whole life this happens a lot and it's crazy how like at some point in our lives we'll have like friends from all over the world yeah that's kind of interesting to think about yeah yeah no definitely like we so we sat with them and talked for like like four hours yeah yeah and that being a really long time was way more than one drink i kept looking at my phone and i was like okay i'm gonna say i kept texting david on the side i'm like i'm gonna stay for 20 more minutes and then i'm leaving i'd look back on my phone like an hour it would pass yeah they so so i asked natalie when we had work the next day we're here we got here a day early so we can edit the vlog and again the vlog's impossible to edit because our editors in taiwan and ferris who's our production manager are like oh my god we're guys in the u.s so we are literally perfectly all spaced on three different time zones like literally covering 30 of different times like one person wakes up the other person's going to bed the other person's midday it's like perfectly spaced out where we can't all get on the phone at once it's fucking horrible um so like we literally have nothing to do so we went out we just went to the club and um oh yeah i asked you i was like when do we have like an obligation the next day because everybody they keep getting and and they're like they're excited that's mr david dobrik is here so they're bringing out champagne bottles they're bringing out shots buckets of beer and i'm like oh my god this is my i was bringing the buckets of beer my brother that was me um and then they and i did not want to do the shots and david was like come on let's just do a shot come on i would listen i was really stoked about that crowd they seemed all so nice no they were and it was like the perfect like small group like it wasn't an overwhelming club by any means it was very like i don't even know how to explain it almost felt like being in some one's backyard yeah it's very it was a very strange club and i can't believe that it was like i don't know i don't even know how to explain um but yeah so then we did that natalie told me that we had something at 5 p.m the next day which to anybody to normal person that'd be like i could stay out till nine in the morning right because 5 p.m is ridiculous but to me that's kind of like okay i should dial it back because like because like i'm jet lagged so like i will normally sleep till 5 p.m yeah um so i'm like if i have any work obligation the next day i should go home a little earlier so i called it or around like one or two and i went home thinking that we had something today to do and then natalie texted me um natalie texted me hello question mark at 2 p.m and like keep in mind she's been texting in other group chats about me she's like i think david's sleeping i should get him up blah blah blah she's saying she's other group chats and then she texted me hello question mark i said hi and then she texted me let's get a move on at 2 30 and then i'm like oh fuck okay like i guess we gotta go we gotta record the pod we gotta do stuff so i hop in the shower and then i text her i text her after i shower what's the vibe do you want to come by in 20 and she texts me back she goes for what i go what you just fucking woke me up i didn't know you were up and then she's like i thought you're just laying in bed and we're gonna like rot and i was like i don't want to do that like because i'm being productive right now yeah so then i did all that for nothing and then and then she gets here at 4 45 like hours later i'm like dude she's like let's record the podcast i'm like we're gonna record the podcast and then she's like let's record the podcast and i'm like be late for the five o'clock meeting and she's like oh i made that up just completely been lying to me all day about times it's really hard when everybody at the group at the table is like you know it was everybody against me because they were all like they wanted actually no yes everyone wanted me to drink there's a lot of people that had your back only because i was making them feel guilty for guilty me because i was like i was like every time i would get a shot i'm like i'm i know that was the other problem you kept like suctioning me into your i mean yeah i didn't want to be the only i knew there's two of us i didn't want to be drunk by myself no for sure but like when the other person doesn't want to be drinking on a sunday night yeah but it just kind of felt right do you know i mean i mean looking back at it didn't it feel kind of right like no i had fun like i had fun like with my couple beers that i drank it like kind of solidified norway as like a visit do you know what i mean yeah no i feel that like we really like we really feel like we like we visited norway other other we're here for a meeting for waivers can we say what's happening yeah go ahead go ahead tell them tell the class uh we're here this is where circle k is headquartered which is if you know we have circle k in the u.s but in in europe it's like their version of 7-eleven it's huge and waivers going to be carried in circle k's across the globe how many locations is that i don't know a couple thousand a couple thousand locations so we're meeting all the reps from all the countries yeah everyone's gathering hq to talk about like the new product launches and releases and waivers is obviously one of them so we get to meet with like every head of every country of circle k it's kind of fun big big deal which is gonna be kind of lit i wonder if it'll be like a drinking thing i don't think there's gonna be drinks i kind of want to start drinking again like heavily no i really do like it and i actually i feel like i'm doing a good job of not overdoing it i'm like doing a good job of like drinking i don't know brother because the other night in canada you were not doing a good job night in canada i overdid it oh you're trying to like drag you out of that party and you're like no well that's because there was this guy who is being a jerk we we go to this after party in can and we're there for like all of the 10 minutes and some guy like you know introduces himself to david and and whatnot and like they're talking for like two minutes and then all i hear out of this conversation is are you gay bro that's what he says to you do you remember that and then he was like like he thought that you were gay this whole time yeah oh yes yes yes i was like am i gay and then you really got really defensive you're like wait no i'm not i'm not gay like i'm straight and he was like no no like you're gay he's just like insisting on you being uh that's not what i was referred to when he was that was actually really funny but he was like um then he like well when we were leaving you guys like were like pulling me to leave and he's like you have to stay we're going to have to party and i was like oh i gotta go and he goes fuck those people they're fake you're like about you guys and then i was like dude i think you're fake i told him and then like we were in each other's faces but like almost like like playfully yeah like you guys were talking like you're about to kiss yes yes yes but you couldn't tell what you were saying what we were what we were saying and we were all so annoyed because they're waiting on you to leave yeah but i was like you're fake those are my fucking friends i've known him forever like if i didn't go with him that would make me fake and i was trying to explain to him um yeah so then yes and then they had to drag me his friends had to drag him away from me everybody thought we're like are they gonna make out or are they gonna fight like what's happening right now i actually kind of feel that so his friends were like and neither his friend group didn't know you and your friend group didn't know him so we're like they're not friends so why are they like talking so intimately or whatever so closely and so each friend group was like trying to pull each of you away from each other yeah and then we were leaving and then we left the party i was very drunk ran into rami malik yeah rami malik was there the guy from uh bohemian rhapsody well he's not the guy from queen well i know but yeah he's the guy yeah in bohemian rhapsody really great guy i have a story with him once where he told me that my zipper was undone so i told him i was like rami you told me once that my zipper was undone and you saved me from for the rest of the party and he goes that's the kind of guy yeah it was a great response um yeah it's really funny um so yeah can was really fun so croatian can we're very beautiful we've very very much did a early european summer start god knows when that vlog will be out maybe in a week maybe in two yeah probably in a week hopefully yeah i don't know um and yeah and this is the tail end of our trip we go back from norway and at the house on thursday we have like this big this is crazy we're doing this i can't even believe we're doing this yeah me either i don't even know how it came together me neither we're doing uh we're doing a thing for the movie scream scary movie scary movie fuck why do i get those two confused oh because they're very similar like scary movie has scream in it right right god damn it why do i get them so they're both paramount too yeah um yeah we're doing something for scary movie and we have like two performers can i see the performers coming to the house or is this just like i feel like i'd rather not but like two people come in to perform and we're doing like a party and this kind of sprung up out of nowhere we're doing like an event with paramount at the house on thursday it really like escalated into like a big event yeah like now we're throwing a party now we're throwing a party on thursday we land wednesday and then we're right into the thick of it yeah it's just a lot a lot's going on and then and then we have some pickleball tournaments and things and then we get back on the road we go back to france some pickleball tournaments and things people are like damn you're so busy yeah and then i have one meeting at 5 p.m in a week no but they're all very like um yeah they're like big things that we're doing yeah big events that we've been big events planning for a while which is kind of exhausting because i really thought after this like little european leg that we were going to do we were going to kind of just get to chill um i don't know back to can in june too i really guys i really really really really i wish we're we're so close and we're so far with these videos like i really wish we could figure out a i'm not looking at these edits i really wish because i really do love filming the videos and i think it's it'd be so incredibly easy if like they were it was just pumped out without me looking at it because i could i could literally make them every week so easily because it's just me and the camera but if for some reason we just can't figure it out yet which sucks it's taking a while but i was thinking about it i was thinking about like wow this is really tough and i guess you put you guys probably listening are probably like what's david bitching about everything seems fine um but like uh i don't know i really thought i could do every week and not miss a single week with this series and i've kind of failed that um but i think it's good i think these are learning steps these are like those you know like these are like those moments where you fail and like it kind of helps you adjust that's kind of that's kind of where i feel like i'm at like i'm like learning things by failing yeah i'm not failing i'm failing forward if that makes sense like at least i'm doing it circling back to the bar last night okay okay so oh this is where the beef was yeah this is where the beef was um i'm really confused there was like somebody was talking about they were coming to la or something and they like brought me into the conversation and then they were like oh we're gonna go visit the grand canyon i don't know if you remember this moment yeah okay so this guy was like we're gonna go visit the grand canyon and i think you pointed to me being like oh she loves the grand canyon or something whatever i was like grand canyon is it worth visiting that's what i said to you okay yeah maybe it's not necessarily with you but it is a little bit so and then there was another guy that was like you know a handsome guy and you love more than anything when there's someone even that's 10 attractive to be like hey if you're single my friend over here natalie her she's really she's really single wait wait hold on time out he was really attractive no no he was he was cute oh okay he was the yeah he was cute yeah shout out me but you do that to any you did it also for to with four other guys before that guy came along yes i just didn't know that guy was gonna come along like i feel like let's just wait and let's play the night i feel like at the time i was always operating at the hottest person in the room and then the new hottest guy would walk into the room and i was like oh no wait natalie's single by the way that's why we can't just like throw ourselves everything yeah they're like four hot guys that like walked in right after each other and incrementally got hotter and like i'll let you know if i'm like in the mood to be like flirting and whatever because like that wasn't my night we just had like three fucking cheeseburgers and beer i really thought you're gonna pivot i know you did you really felt like i was going to and let me tell you why i couldn't make the pivot okay okay okay because so this guy that was the cute guy he was like he was like oh i know natalie's single i watched the videos like she's obviously so single whatever he makes this like joke i didn't understand what he meant by that uh because i don't because last time we were i don't know i think i understood what he meant by that i don't really know what that meant like he was like saying obviously she's single she's fucking around in every fucking log oh i don't think that's what he meant this is what he meant why because then green canyon conversation comes oh shit and then the grand canyon conversation comes up like two ten seconds later around every vlog and then he goes don't refer to natalie as the grand canyon like about my vagina i'm assuming no i don't think so yes what what other possible way could you interpret oh like he made a joke that like i would make yes because i was not referring to you as the grand canyon no you weren't no no we were we were actually just talking about the grand canyon and then he he tried to make a joke like obviously to like you know be like but brother we've been friends for 20 years i just met this guy yeah but like you can't you come on you can't blame the guy i know it's not the right thing to do i mean i was like excuse me yeah no that's no that's for sure crazy but like but and then you laughed at it really yes you did i don't think i heard him say that i don't know because you made a comment wait what did i say you go badass and i was like you know what i think my time here being a supportive friend is done that's really funny wait this is the guy this is the guy and then i was like you know you're like fuck this i don't care to be here anymore actually damn and everyone's so wasted i'm sober it's getting late shocked you were sober they're feeding us so many shots was there no alcohol in those fucking mouthwash shots there is it's like it's like jaeger so it doesn't count or like what no there's alcohol in it for sure but it's like really small no they were really small shots they're very deceiving oh yeah the glass was like the glass was like filled up yeah yeah yeah wow okay well that's crazy and then i'm like david i'm going home granted i know you're having a good time but this motherfucker lets me walk home in these streets of oslo by myself natalie the hotel i didn't know that at the time i didn't know that at the time i didn't know that at the time i didn't know that at the time oh okay where did you go you're like bye well i didn't say bye i said you should really stay oh thanks anyways i just want to say you're the worst really yeah i feel like i'm done you're done with what i'm throwing in the hat i'm throwing in my towel whatever the expression is i'm done being this really nice caring thoughtful best friend i was kind of there for you yesterday i was kind of there for you yesterday i was kind of there for you yesterday to be honest no you weren't yeah we went out because you wanted to go for a walk and get some food i wanted to eat i would have gone to eat by my myself i was supporting you making sure that you got to turn this on me okay well regardless what does that mean you're done you just want to you just want to i'm putting my foot down like you're going like you're going your own way i'm going my own way like you're going to work for mr beast actually jimmy i would love nothing more mr jimmy please call me if mr beast called you if mr beast called me i mean he'd have to like somewhat match the amount of money that i make right now but i think i'm pretty valuable so that's pretty easy for him yeah of course yeah for mr beast yeah um yeah it just kind of depends on what that's it you'd have to match the money and you'd leave that's crazy are you fucking kidding me i thought you were gonna be like five x or something you have to match the money no you'd have to more than match i'd have to have like some sort of like well i don't know what my job would be that's what i'm saying it depends on what my job is with him like if it's something i can do remote like from california and he can like match my salary i would consider what do you do with me you just leave me no we still i'm in california i get to hang out we still do things no no no but who manages me oh yeah i'm out oh my god that's fucking crazy just for just for mr okay how much would you have to do for you to leave i'm not saying that because i don't want to allude to how much money i make no no x like x like for me to leave move to north carolina and like be his manager i don't even want to say move to north carolina because i feel like that like that would like five exit well that's huge yeah yeah yeah so that is the part of working for him no i'm saying how much your salary right now for you to leave i've given this question to taylor before and taylor answers this like complete opposite of you because she just wrote about it yeah taylor's like i don't care because like if you 1000 x my salary i can't believe taylor's a ride or die that's insane i think taylor just is there for the vibes all right go i'm not like a vibe person i'm like really driven and ambitious like i want no no you're fucking cold-hearted that's who you are no i'm not yeah no i still i would still love to okay give me the x amount oh my god for the love of god i'll call you from time to time don't worry for what how can you um if he like three x'd it really yeah it's so easy for him no it's not i don't maybe you don't know how much money i make i actually have no idea how much money you make yeah do you think you make me mad probably furious no way like in general like how much money i make in total or just from you specifically in total oh yeah i think you'd be pissed do you want to tell me right now no no absolutely not why i will never tell you my life for this exact reason i don't want you to be mad this is oh you think because you think i want to be like okay she's overpaid yeah i mean that's kind of what my anger would be 100 but you think everybody's overpaid that's not true i don't think that i think john's underpaid don't even don't even gaslight me like that first of all john is the glue we've talked about this no i love john and i think that he is very appropriately paid i don't think he's underpaid i don't think he's underpaid i don't think he's underpaid i know i'm kidding um okay so you're not gonna tell me how much you make no huh i feel like you can guess i i don't think it's i actually don't think it's that crazy i don't think you're actually i'm gonna put up kidding when i say you're gonna be i'm not with my fingers am i close this is yearly yeah really fucking motherfucker you're so far off brother it's crazy too high you have no perception of like finances no i have none i own a home i drive a ferrari oh my god are you fucking flexing on me no i'm just saying like you like i obviously make a lot of money god damn it how much do you make i'm with you 24 7 my entire life is dedicated to you i better be making a good amount of money oh that's rude no but that's the truth so you should have stayed with me at the club yesterday i did for a very long time i sat there against my will i was like okay um we came all the way here we're in norway by ourselves congrats i didn't know you were in norway by yourself i didn't know you were in norway by you were doing so well i'm buying a new home you are yeah dead ass i'm thinking about it dead ass now see this is why you're gonna get pissed you you're buying a new home are you fucking kidding me what do you mean you've been have you been looking at other homes i'm always looking are you fucking serious how much do you make you fucking motherfucker dude i'm about to call the accountant right now and be like cut her salary in half i don't want to do it i didn't want to talk about it the ego is out of control she is flexing her second home on me um i know you're gonna fucking side text your account no i'm not i literally don't have the capability of like don't don't don't oh my gosh i really should check i really should check i'm kidding it's not that much okay are you excited to go back to la um yeah i guess what the fuck what's where is all of your guys's loyalty towards our homeland nobody was excited to go back a bad time like i'm i'm not i would never complain about like what we're doing right now no i'm not having a bad time but there is there's a bitch every single day well because there's a fucking saying that's tried and true and there's no place like home there is no place like home no your home for sure i get that you people take like my home right now because we haven't been there and i haven't like been taking care of it for the last three months it's like stressing it's like a pile of shit that i gotta get done that i'm like i don't want to have to think about and i'm gonna have to do all that when i get home um i think no place like home applies to any kind of home i miss my bed for sure but actually the bed here at this hotel is pretty nice the the bed here the hotel is incredible i think no place like home though applies to more than just like your physical home structure i think it's like your routine your car your friends but like we've been with our friends we've only been away from our friends for like five days i know but natalie well just me and you truly it truly really makes my heart hurt it's really difficult that makes me sad that you feel that way about me really yeah you would just you literally just said you'd leave me for for 1.5 your salary you literally just said if mr beast threw in a free vacation you'd go a free vacation um jimmy please call me you move to carolina for that it's fucked up um i actually really like north carolina you know what there is actually a perk in that probably for you 100 yeah that actually would kind of be crazy no i might i like there's there's a lot more to it right like i doesn't like obviously being like oh if you 1.5 my salary like that sounds stupid but there's a lot of other secondary perks that come along with having a job like that right because you'd actually find a family there yeah i'd probably find a family settle down be making the same amount of money be able to live a you know similar lifestyle still come to la yeah have all my friends no but it'd probably even be more exciting to like you your lifestyle would be like completely different there would just be like chill and like very relaxed and comfortable and as opposed to la where you're paying out the ass for everything yeah okay i'm kind of seeing it honestly i would take a job with jimmy if he hired me too we should call him should we we probably should i've thought about that i've thought about just being like jimmy do you want to like start like a pg-13 version of your videos and like i'm the host like uh and you just pay me as like the actor get a percentage of the back end and we call it maybe make a film together you know he is walt disney so it's like this is the time to get in early with him yeah that's true it's really kind of crazy it's kind of crazy like the the fucking trajectory that man has had he said logan paul's name like a hundred thousand times and that's what it is and that's what it is now yeah it's really really crazy yeah good for fucking him pretty incredible wow do you think you'll ever achieve something like that one day i don't know it depends on if you want to work or not whoa i don't know why you're fucking saying that i have a topic okay ready this is going to be a uh wait what do you call a controversial take okay ready yeah wood michael jackson okay this is what i see on comments everywhere about michael jackson let me preface this by saying michael jackson is the goat undisputed heavyweight champion of all entertainment entities in the world the biggest no one comes close to him no one touches him that's it period he's the biggest it just it doesn't make sense he was truly like the closest thing to like a spiritual figure that you could have in the human world um but a lot of people say this there's two comments that i hate that i see under his post and some of us a lot of people say michael jackson has fans that haven't even been born yet people comment that all the time and i'm like okay that's most singers like most singers have fans like you know i mean like most big singers have fans that aren't born yet like i am a fan of abba and at one point i was not born yeah when they were crushing i don't think that's like a hate comment no it's not a hate comment okay i just like don't understand i'm like yeah that but that that's not a hate comment i don't think that's a hate comment i don't think that like that explains how great he is because i just think it's like i think it's like a silly comment this is another one that i find not silly but i i think it's like a it's worth an argument is everyone always says michael jackson was that famous without social media do you see that a lot i don't get a lot of michael jackson content oh i get a lot of michael jackson and i would argue that that is why he's so famous famous because there was no social media that's true i could see that right like i like i don't know if he'd be big i don't know if he'd be bigger with social media i don't think he also could have been bigger at the time i also i also in a way think that social media would have like hindered him like he would just been too big where he would have been just absolutely like i don't know do you know what i mean yeah well i think um i think he was in the perfect time where like i think that comparison is also weird is what i'm trying to say you're just saying it's not giving him enough justice i don't think the first one gives enough justice and i think the other one may be wrong i think he's famous i'm not i'm not saying he wouldn't be the most popular now of all time but i think that i don't think social media would have like helped him in his situation i think he was just so big his voice was in places that like the internet doesn't even fucking touch it's now the whole like media business whether it's like the news and tabloids and like the internet doesn't even fucking touch it's like the whole like media business whether it's like the news and tabloids and like the internet doesn't even fucking touch and things like that which is now converted into tiktok and everybody has a voice back in that in that time there was like yeah like four channels yeah it's like if they're playing michael jackson they play michael jackson no for sure but i'm in the press too like the press was always wherever you got your news and you were you know learning about britney spears or michael jackson or whatever those five celebrities that they always talked about were the five celebrities they always talked about yeah 100 and now now i feel like media cycles are so quick like everyone will have like so quick everyone will even like the biggest superstars will have like six months of like shining and then they'll you know there's stars for the rest of their lives yeah but like they'll have like six months where they're like the king of this the king of this you know what i mean or it's like oh they did that and then they'll go away for like five six years i mean you think about it again like you think about i think it was harry styles that sold out like eight nights at madison square garden just like broke a record or something right it's like this big deal well yeah okay i don't know oh okay then i guess that's kind of my point but like it was a huge deal well i know how big i know i've seen his things i didn't know that he like broke the record for selling out most nights in a row most nights in a row at madison square garden okay huge deal yeah yeah and like if that was like such a major accomplishment that like you don't even there's more examples than just that one with harry styles but like it's it's just kind of like a thing of the past it's like oh yeah he did that you know like people just move on and it's like no that was that's fucking crazy huh yeah like you're just saying there's always something new that's it's hard to it's hard to stay at the top of like relevancy well even what you said the reason why i reacted to it that way i was like because i don't even i feel like that record i hear something about that every day okay i hear a new madison square garden claim fair yeah because i feel like people always do they're like he sold out madison square garden the quickest ever on wednesday people love people love madison square garden so much like it's such a fucking like yeah that's for music or any performances that like people throw that shit in anywhere yeah yeah he played on madison square garden 40 times he's at madison square garden even just that it's fucking epic so yeah i guess or it's like it's like when it says it's like when you're watching a trailer for something it's like no the number one right now the number one movie in america and it's like every movie is the number one movie in america it's kind of crazy that's true or like when netflix has a movie that they release and it's the number one movie on netflix but they released it like yeah it's their number one that's funny they could put this podcast up there and it'd be their number one movie netflix if they wanted it to um yeah so i guess that makes sense is it true that i registered to fight in the war uh yeah apparently nothing else for the other day she's like um do you know if you register to fight in the like to be drafted yeah or even more specific right um there's this thing called like selective not participation but something like that that you have to like on on immigration forms or whatever and technically every immigrant is legally required to select yes for that like you have to be like selective to fight for the u.s to fight for the u.s yeah every immigrant is required how is that how is that like not like uh but there hasn't been an active draft in years and years and years and years right it's not like been like a issue yeah now he texted me by the way you're registered and you marked yes and you're not registered and you're not registered and you're for i'll go to war if called upon you fucking moron i said why would i ever say that um so i had to say that is that what you're saying so you had to say that but then there's a so you have to say that you're a selective participant or whatever you just you have to say yes to that but then there's a second question that says like if there is an if an active draft becomes a thing again will you go and fight essentially that's what the question is and you you marked yes really i wonder like i must which you didn't have to do i must have been like feeling in some kind of like a funny mood i like feel i feel like this was like three or four years ago and we were applying for your like new visas and stuff like that and i swear to god you were like i'm gonna mark yes like in ellie and i will we'll go we'll go and we'll fight for our country and like i'm like this is not a joke like this is like a real thing this could happen wait what i mean it does sound like you're like imagine the vlog i get drafted fuck i don't know i don't know why that like partially sounds like accurate but also like kind of sounds like i could have made that up too yeah yeah um i'm no yeah i must have been on like my ilia kick back then whenever i did that i think so because i must have been like wherever illy and i can illy and i could go bond um yeah that's crazy i don't understand that though wouldn't they like not want an immigrant fighting on the side of like what if what if like i'm a traitor and they've no like you know what i mean what if we have to go fight slovakia and then all of a sudden i'm like i can't do that i mean i don't know why they require that but like i'm assuming it's just like because they can you know right because you want to get access to this country so they're going to make you do whatever the hell they want you to do but i really don't understand how the draft like used to work i wonder how many how many people were drafted in the u.s world war one approximately 2.8 million men were drafted that's crazy world war ii 10.1 million americans could you fucking imagine that could you imagine that in today's world with how many americans died in each of those 400 000 military deaths and 671 000 wounded um wow overall including those missing and non-battle deaths to the u.s recorded over 1 million total casualties um that's like could you imagine that with like it does not make sense to me at all like the concept of war i just like don't i don't understand how like they're gonna be one president over here and another i don't get that here and they're like we're gonna fight you guys are all gonna go out and maybe die it's so dumb it doesn't make any sense like someone made a joke about this on tiktok but it's so true it's like why are we going to fight for you like if you have a disagreement like shouldn't the president's just like get in a ring and like settle it out yeah or just fight each other to the death if that's what it has to be like if they're really that passionate or they're sending millions of millions of people from a country because like they want something like i don't know that is that yeah that is a very very very bizarre thing um but yeah yeah but could you imagine like the draft with tiktok today like how crazy that would be crazy that's all you would see your entire for you page would be like opening my mail this morning and seeing if i'm drafted you'd see some of the saddest and some of the funniest tiktok you'd have such a wide range of ways people would be reacting to it that it'd be like pretty fucking crazy oh oh last night when we were out um scan was filming me and i was like let's go to the strip club let's go to the strip club and we were with um these people from like a big brand i think it's funnier if you know a brand they're from a big brand like um like a coca-cola i don't i don't even know how to say but they're a big brand yeah um and i i don't even know how to say it but they're a big brand and i was like i'll just use coca-cola for the example okay and i was like and i was like we gotta go to the strip club let's go to the strip club and then scan's like you gotta be careful if you're talking like this or else coca-cola won't hire you and the guy from coca-cola's no that's exactly why coca-cola would hire you so yeah strip clubs bring people together see i was thinking the opposite i was like it gets your brand deals strip club in hindsight i said the strip club too many times i thought it was a good idea i thought it was a good idea i thought it was a good idea i thought about it because i i did sober up and i was like oh but i don't mean strip club like let's go to the strip club i mean like people don't know that yeah i know i know i know i mean like let's go to the next place i could see how people don't know that yeah when you say let's go to the strip club i think you mean yeah let's go i also say let's go to the strip club as a rallying cry like you know what i mean like a war cry like let's go to the next spot and everyone would be like yeah because i'm trying to build hype like there's something better yeah like we're at this like bar but let's go to the strip club we're also not with like the demographic of people like we're with people that are in their like late 40s to like early 60s they probably haven't been to the strip club because they've been married for 20 plus years yeah yeah but you could tell some of them are down they definitely got some eyes for sure there was so much side actually the women were like way more down yeah there was one woman that was like let natalie find the strip club i was like okay here we go uh she's really funny um in other news Did you see what happened with Ferrari? I did. They reveal the new car. It's the Ferrari Luce. And everybody is up in arms about it. It's all electric. Like, listen to this. No, this cannot be real. This cannot be real. This cannot be real. I'm having a bad dream. I'll wake up tomorrow morning and everything is going to be all right. This cannot be real. Are you fucking kidding me? Oh, my God. Yeah, so this guy's basically pissed off. And every video is like this about the new Ferrari. It's an all-electric car. Which is fine. That was coming. But just how it looks is so crazy. So not Ferrari. And I have a hot take on it. And I'm not just saying this to be. Actually, I am saying this to be different. I'm a little confused about my stance on it. I think it's a very cool-looking car. And I think it's like. You love to be just against the grain. That's not what it is, though. That's not what it is. First of all, the inside is crazy. I'm not going to talk about it too much. It's a cool-looking car. It's just weird for Ferrari. Super weird. But Ferrari said this one thing. One of the CEOs said this. Because everyone's kind of pissed about the newer cars. They're like, well, the older cars still exist. You don't have to buy it. You can buy the older cars. Or whatever. And honestly, I adopted that mentality for the vlogs. Because I was like, yeah, I'm going to make new stuff. Who cares? Because the older stuff. That you love is still there. Yeah, I got to grow. And will I maybe one day make some electric Ferrari-style videos? Uh-huh. Yeah. But the old ones are still there. That's actually interesting. I do like that. Yeah, I like that mindset. It doesn't really change anything. I think singers probably have that mindset fully. How many singers put out albums that you never hear about because they suck. But they have the bangers. Right. And they're there forever. Right. So that's just a little lesson from Ferrari guys. Just trying to teach you guys to experiment. Make new stuff. Follow your heart. Yeah. Yeah. Tomorrow morning, Natalie, we go back to LA. I'm so excited. Yeah. We are back. Now I'm like really feeling it for some reason. Like today, I just like, maybe because it is we're going home tomorrow, that it's all kind of like hitting me. Like the exhaustion, the everything. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. I don't even know. I don't even remember what home's going to be like. Yeah. What's the first thing you're going to do? Other than, well, I'm going to do Taylor's sandwich. You know what I love? I love seeing Taylor. Yeah. I love seeing her pick me up from the airport. Yeah. It's like my favorite. I don't know what it is. It's very comforting. Yeah. It's like, she's got like such golden retriever energy where it's like, oh, wow, I'm back home. Yeah. Yeah. It's a really good vibe. Yesterday, I was drunk and I texted in the group chat. What did I say? I said, Taylor, you're the goat. I was really. Oh, she was so excited. Yeah. I said, Natalie said, David's drunk. I said, I'm just kidding. Taylor, you're number one. Don't ever forget it. Go. Oh, God. So we were, we were in the new euphoria episode. If anybody's watched, um, Dobrik's pizza is in the background of one of the shots. Someone sent me it. This has been like a dream of mine for a while because I've always been like, we're in the most popular spot in all of LA. Like I'm not like, obviously there's popular spots, but I'm just saying like, if you just think about all of sunset Boulevard and like the popular area of it or like the most visited, we are right in the fucking middle. The heart. Yeah. The heart. Like I, I can't. I can't believe we have the spot we have for Dobrik's pizza. I can't believe it. I can't believe it either. It's like, like way too good to be true. No, it's way too good to be true. Yeah. It's fucking sick. So, and one of the things was like, when I, when we got it, I was like, I can't wait to be in movies. Like we're going to be in movies. Yeah. And like, we got euphoria, which is pretty sick. I wonder what else is to come. Like, you know what I mean? I'm sure a lot. I'm sure it's going to be like, like Dobrik's will forever because yeah. It's such an iconic location. It'll like forever be cemented in media. Like all we need is like one, like Wolf of Wall Street movie or something like that. Like a Martin Scorsese movie to be filmed on sunset, but it has to be in this time period, which is kind of tough. Yeah. Um, that's the part that I feel like doesn't happen so often, but like, could you imagine like we're in like a banger, like a, like a, a movie like the Godfather and like you just, just driving by. You know what we should do? What? You should make the movie. No, you're so late. Lame. Actually, I was actually saying something realistic. You derailed the vibes. All right, guys, that's all the time we have for today's podcast. Thank you guys for listening. Thank you for joining us. Go check out Dobrik's Pizza. Go check out Jason Nash's, uh, YouTube vlogs. He'll be back for the next pod and, um, follow us on things. My name is Natalie. Just in case you forgot there. Cause it sounded like you were forgetting me. Nope. Did not forget.
