From the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh and we will be back in this spot by the way with one of the most anticipated podcasts of the season where we break down draft Intel and gossip for each of the 32 teams in the league next week. But for this week we begin to get ready for the draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my friend the coach in the Pat McVease show colleague Tyshmit for another weekly edition of the six back. [Music] Thank you very much, Chefs. You good to be with you as always. It really is crazy to think that the draft is only eight days away. I mean, I we cover this stuff day in and day out and it seems maybe it is just this year that it seems like we've been waiting a lot because there hasn't been that much news over the last couple weeks. But boy, here we go. I mean, really, you know, after the draft, after that Thursday night especially, but once the draft is complete, I feel like it just the season feels so much closer. Now people have full optimism in their team or you know, they that optimism they have through free agency is gone because of what they did in the draft. It's one of the best times of the year. I can't wait. See, you look at it that way, Ty. And I look at it that way as well, but I also look at it like the draft is the final exam that I take. It's like spring in college. This is your last test and then you got like six, seven, eight weeks of quiet time before school begins again in late July and teams report to training camp. To me, the football season is like the school calendar. It's very similar. They overlap simultaneously. And so to me, we're getting ready for finals next week. Finals are coming up. We're just about ready for the finals in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And after that last final, there's a little bit of time to exhale because being a fellow, as we know, never stops. And there's always going to be news and there's going to be things that happen in May and June and July. There always are, but the bulk of it, it's over. And it's some time to decompress, recharge, refresh and get ready for what you're talking about. The game's beginning and the whole cycle and school year starting all over again. Yeah. And I think this in particular, in particularly this year, this draft outside of Mendoza, there really is a lot of conjecture. And I feel like we don't really know what those next several picks will be like. You know, in some years, we have a very firm, okay, this guy's probably going to go here. This guy's probably going to go here, but you look at, you know, whether it's draft kings in any betting market, you know, there is still a lot of room for debate on who's going to be the second pick, the third pick, the fourth pick, etc. So I think we actually do have, you know, a pretty exciting draft on our hands. So I can't wait for that. Let's get into topic number one of this week's six back. So we hit on this a little bit yesterday on Pat show with you, Chef, but how much trading are you expecting to see next week? You know, I feel like sometimes we are very going into a draft. We know there are probably going to be a lot of movement. But like you said, yesterday, that's usually necessitated by a bunch of orderbacks being up there. We don't really have that this year. So what do you expect on that front? And I think we'll see some movement tie like there's already been chatter about the hours and a cardinals potentially having some interest in moving back at three, the Browns potentially having interest in moving back at six, the Pittsburgh Steelers having interest in moving back from 21 teams throughout the draft, interested in moving back. But here's the whole hang up. And I've talked about this for the few teams already. There are a lot of teams out there that are now willing to move back. But who's willing to move up? That's the question as we get ready for the draft. Yeah, we can find teams across the board who are willing to move back in the draft. Most every team here would be willing to do that. But who are the teams that really might be interested in moving up? Could the Dallas Cowboys be interested in packing, packaging picks 12 and 20 to move up? You have to look at teams that double ones. That's the Cowboys. The Jets, I don't think they're going to be moving up anywhere. They're already at two. And they're not going to do that again when they're at 33 and they have four of the top 44 picks. The Chiefs 9 and 29. Don't see that happening right now. The Browns would be more interested in getting more draft ammo and a draft in which they already have nine picks. And they're scheduled to pick here six and 24. So again, I just don't know that there are a lot of teams that are going to be willing to move up. That's the issue. And so I think we'll get some credit activity in this draft. There's no that about that. But it may not be as active as normal because this draft doesn't have the quarterbacks that it other dress have had. And usually that's what drives trade activity. Okay. So that'll be something to keep you know, an eye out for and obviously like you always say, you know, there's a chance that somebody gets wowed by another team's offer on draft night and does decide, you know, to move up. But I feel like by this point of the draft season, you know, about eight days out, there's usually maybe a little bit more smoke than there has been this year in terms of teams moving up. You know, I'm not sure. I guess we'll see how that plays out on Thursday. What about just other kind of draft gossip, if you will or kind of stories that are on the periphery of the draft? When you have all these teams digging into the backgrounds of all these players who are going to be selected potentially, there are works that emerge on all of them. Like when I'm on the phone with these teams these last few weeks, the information that came out about Ruben Bay in this week, the tragic information where a girl dies in a car crash, he's cited for careless driving. The chargers are later dropped. That's information that teams and security directors on teams have had for weeks if not months. They've known that. And I got to tell you something. There is stuff on so many of these prospects that things I've heard about some of these players. It's pretty wild. All the warts that turn up. You know what? They're 18, 19, 20, 21 year old kids living their lives. That's what they're doing. And by the way, you're doing it at a day and age where a lot of these players have access to more money than ever before. And they're living in a different type of universe than has been before. And so it can't be easy to be in some of the situations that they are saying that these teams find out everything. They find out about girl issues. They find out about health issues. There have been some medical things that have been conveyed to me out of players. I don't know if the players knew that they had certain issues with their body. It's a very deep, probing investigative process. And teams do their best to find out as much as they can. Look, they're investing millions of dollars in these players before you make an investment that large. They want to know about things. And so the Rubin Bayon information surfaced this weekend to the surprise of no teams. I think there's more information about more people. And that's the way it is at the draft every year. Teams are doing their due diligence and it turns up a lot of a lot of information that sometimes isn't great. Yeah. And I think you hit the nail on the head, you know, with obviously some things, you know, age doesn't really matter. But like you said, you know, 18, 19, 20 year old kids. I mean, maybe it's the same case in some places, but, you know, you're not living in the dorms anymore with, you know, a lot of these guys can afford to have the nicest apartment on campus. You know, it's just, it's a different day and age. And I guess that's part of the reason why, you know, the interviews at the combine in the top 30 visits and things like that are so important because you hear all this stuff. And if you can actually talk to one of these guys face to face, I think, well, I think a lot of these teams and coaches personnel, they're smart enough to decipher whether or not this guy is going to be an issue. Now, obviously, guys are going to put on an act at times, but I feel like they, they know well enough to know whether or not, hey, this guy was just young and dumb and made a couple of mistakes or like, this is a real red flag and we're going to have trouble with this guy. Let me give you an example. I've spoken to obviously a number of teams, but a couple of teams over the last couple of weeks has cited to me. I was like, they ask, give me a player who's following. Couple of teams said, McCye Lemon, the USU Art Receiver. I'm like, really? Do I? Yeah, he's following. Now, I will say this, last year, I heard something similar about Teterou and McMillan. I had a bunch of people Talk about 10 Macmillan didn't love them around the draft and then lo and ball right before the draft I'm hearing that the Broncos and Sean Peyton are interested the 49ers and Kyle Shiner and Hanna and said and they don't even have the chance to get him Because I think he went number nine to Carolina so this player that other teams felt was falling All the sudden went high what I'm hearing about Macmillan now reminds me of 10 Macmillan last year Couple teams saying they could see him falling and then I spoke to one coach other day And he's like this guy's the closest thing I've seen to Amman Ross St Brown since I've been analyzing the draft so The point is everybody has a different interpretation of every player teams look at players differently Coaches look at players differently for an office executives look at players differently Very rarely is everybody aligned and sees things exactly the same so it creates a really unpredictable Interesting intriguing process as we get ready for this draft in Pittsburgh. It's the case every year It's not new to this year, but this year it's in Pittsburgh Yeah, yeah exactly and speaking of it being in Pittsburgh chef. Let's move on to topic number two of this week six pack Pretty interesting that the draft is in Pittsburgh and they have I Guess you could call it a question with their quarterback situation I think most people are assuming that Rogers will be back With the Steelers, but obviously that hasn't been confirmed yet He's still going through his process. We've heard Mike McCarthy speak on it. What can you tell us about that situation? Well, here's what I find interesting about it The Steelers have wanted out Rogers back all along. They've made that pretty clear in the exit meetings the players wanted Aaron Rodgers back this year. That's been pretty clear and when the season ended My understanding was that the Steelers expected to get word on Aaron Rodgers from Aaron Rodgers in about 30 days 30 days from when their season ended would have been roughly mid-February So mid-February a circle back any word on our Rogers Well, we should have word around free agency. I check back at free agency. No word on our Rogers then When is supposed to come now? Well, Art Rooney says they're hoping and thinking maybe before the draft Well the draft is now as we tape this eight days away Still no word from Aaron Rodgers now again. What is this like he's talking to Mike McCarthy regularly They seem to be going over things seems like he's interested in coming back But he has not committed so the question that I think people are starting to wonder and ask is If he hasn't committed by the time the draft starts next week in Pittsburgh Do the Steelers go and consider taking Ty Simpson at number 21 from Alabama. Do they do that? Do they go and take a quarterback in Round three or four there aren't a lot of second round quarterbacks projected in this draft Ty Simpson may go round two May not but there's a gap between Mendoza and Ty Simpson and then the next crop of Carson Beck and Drew Aller and Garrett Nussmire and whoever else Goes there. So I Just think the Pittsburgh Steelers are waiting like everybody else and everybody is assumed all along There are Rogers would be back and everybody is thought he would be back and expected he would be back But if that's the case, why is he not back yet? I Why is he not back? Now that's a good question You know, I think I don't know. I just assumed that he was coming back considering how he played and then you know Everything seemed like a rousing success in Pittsburgh everybody in the locker room liked him. Obviously his You know affinity for coach Tomlin and then that happens But then they bring in coach McCarthy and a bunch of other former Packers coaches who he has good relationships with so I would assume that he is coming back and maybe he's thinking hey, this isn't you know What everyone's viewing in terms of next year's quarterback draft class where there's Potentially seven guys who are going to go in the first round. So maybe I don't need to you know the The tie Simpson thing is interesting because if I'm the Steelers I that and I talking to Steelers fans in here I think you just immediate Last time they did that they got Kenny picket that wasn't exactly who you know, I or around 20 or you know 21 That wasn't what they were looking for they ended up you know trading in a couple years later So if that's the case like are you gonna panic and and draft some guy because you haven't gotten confirmation from Rogers yet I think they're operating under the assumption and maybe they shouldn't be but That would let me know that I think they've had enough conversations where it's hey That decision is going to come. I'm going to do it But I'm not I'm not doing it on your timeline, which I think we know is how Rogers operates And that's fine and again, I think we all Believe that he's going to be back But he's not back and I do think that they're back a plan if he decided not to come back Would have been Kirk cousins pivoting dim And now Kirk cousins has gone inside with the Raiders So there is no real veteran backup pivot plan in the event that our Rogers Should decide that he's not going to play this year and again if he was so convicted he was coming back Why isn't it done yet? I just that's that's my question and and we speak to them like It's not done waiting to hear like I'm just saying it's floating out there and Yes, we assume we think we believe we expect he's going to be back nothing's changed all that But now we have an actual football then in the city of Pittsburgh next week in which quarterbacks will be taken and this team doesn't have clarity yet It doesn't have clarity yet from its own quarterback that it wants back for the coming season and that raises Certain questions as to the conversations that that team probably is going to have to have During the draft if they don't have an answer Yeah, no definitely and and we'll see maybe maybe they do have an answer and they're just keeping mom about it I don't know if that's the case either. I feel like it would have eventually gotten out but Okay, so yeah, I mean we'll see I Again as someone who's not I know Steelers fans are saying the exact same thing. It's okay We need to know and we want to know now and it's great that you know It's been intimated that you're coming back But we don't know that for sure we need a hard firm answer, but again, Rogers plays by his own rules So you know, you got more and more people saying hey, we need you to make a decision That that might be oh do you okay? Well, I'll let you know in May so we'll see what happens Um, that is interesting though with the draft being in Pittsburgh and all the kind of drama surrounding that that should add you know for some some pretty good Entertainment leading up to the draft and the days afterwards Let's move on to topic number three of this week's six pack shifty the giants There's been a lot of talk about them, you know Before they're gonna be picking that number five about them kind of being a pick to click for a lot of people next year Maybe next year's bears. There's a lot of excitement about what the giants could potentially be In the John Harbaugh era They've been linked to Jeremiah love. I know It might have been a couple weeks ago. You kind of said hey, I don't know if that's gonna happen whether you didn't know if he'd You'd make it there whether or not they would make that pick What do you think Harbaugh is thinking right now? Well, I want to say this part of the reason we're doing this topic here number three on the weekly six pack It's Friday night. I was out to dinner walking out the restaurant some woman grabs me And I'm like looking at her like do I know this woman she's like who the giants taking it five I'm like whoa a little aggressive right Saturday I'm out to lunch and literally talking to my son mid-sense some guy like interrupts me And he's like who the giants take it five. I won't tell anybody And I'm like excuse me He's like yeah off the record. I'm like. I'm literally Taking a bite of my salad of the guys at the manning who the giants are picking at number five So I figured rather than having any more dinners and lunches interrupted in my next eight days in New York until I go to Pittsburgh. I figured we could talk about it here And that way when people Go to interrupt me again I could just say go listen to the Adam Schefter podcast the answers on there right like it's unbelievable I can't believe how aggressive these giants fans have been trying to figure out who their team is taking it number five So here's what I'm excited. Yeah, yeah, I'm really excited really solid I don't remember two people being that aggressive to me in other years about the giants number five overall pick So what I would say is this John Harbaugh is gonna be looking to set it on this is the first pick That he makes as the giants hey coach. So you're looking To address somebody that's an extension of you that's representative of what you believe in the values You espouse and what your organization you what you want it to be Yes, people are gonna keep bringing up Jeremiah love his name will keep coming up. I understand that people believe He's the best player in this draft I am skeptical That Jeremiah love is gonna be the pick there They could go offensive line Francis Maui Noah is regarded as the top offensive lineman in this draft He went back to Indianapolis last week for a medical recheck on that disc which is not a overly worrisome issue to teams but it is Something that is there So we'll see I think My own sense reading between the lines Is that it's going to be? in Ohio State defensive player. Whether that's gonna be sunny styles, or whether that's gonna be Caleb Downs. Both players, I believe, would be just what John Harbaugh is looking for and is very first pick as the Giants' hey coach. To me, one of those two guys makes sense. And I could remember talking at one point with some Ohio State coaches this off season, and I'm like, who's the one player with all the great players you have come here to this program that you think will make a big difference than if I level. And the first guy goes, sunny styles. The next coach, say Caleb Downs. Both of them chose those particular players. And Arboree's may be the first Ohio State defensive player drafted here. But I think styles and downs are representative of the type of player that John Harbaugh will be looking for. So if I were to get interrupted at dinner and lunch again this weekend, I would say sunny styles or Caleb Downs would be my favorites for the Giants' pick. They still could go for love, they still could go for Maui Noah, they still could do something like that. All of it's on the table. I got it, you never know what the draft and so much is dependent upon what goes on in front of you, who the Cardinals take it three, who the Titans take it four, what the Giants are left with at five. But in the end, I think that's the situation. When we talk about Jeremiah Love and his floor, if the Giants aren't taking him at five, I don't think the Browns take him at six. I have a hard time. I have a hard time seeing a scenario where Jeremiah Love falls beyond Washington at number seven. I know he's spoken about him going as high as number three at Arizona in played four for Tennessee, in played five for the Giants. I can't imagine he's getting past Washington at number seven. Washington to me, should he be there would have to turn in the card right away. And what's also interesting about this little Giants, Washington picking five, picking seven scenario is that if the Giants do bypass Jeremiah Love at five, there's real possibility it'll be facing him in the division at seven. If the Giants bypass Caleb Downs at five, there's real possibility they could be facing him in their division at number seven. So literally the player that the Giants bypass at five could wind up playing against them twice a year for the Washington commanders in the NFC East. - Yeah, that's an interesting wrinkle. And also, you know, I mean, good on hardball, you know, with his Michigan ties. If you think he's, you know, Ohio State or bus for those first two picks, that's, that's a lot. - Just gone hard, but you don't let the fact that he's a Michigan man. Interfeo, we're taking the best player available. If it happens to be from Ohio State. - Yeah. How much of the decks are Lauren's situation? Do you think influences like what side of the ball? They potentially. - Not much. No, I think that's separate. I don't think that they would like to trade them. Doesn't mean they won't trade them, but they're gonna take the player that they believe would be the best fitted five. - Okay, so yeah, we'll see and hopefully people, you know, stop bothering you when you're trying to either dinner or lunch with your kids. - It's not bothering so much as surprising. Like, like, I don't know. - Yeah. - Anyway. - Yeah, you come up and say, excuse me, I know you're about to give my, could I just ask you one quick question? Rather than like, it was like an ambush, both times. Hey, like we said, you know, excitement for giants football is that a fever pitch right now. So I mean, I suppose if not now, then when? Because who knows what's gonna happen with that team. So it'll be very interesting to see what they do at number five. - Our draft story of the week goes back to the 2006 NFL draft when every draft prognostiator expected USC running back Reggie Bush to be the number one overall pick. At the time, I was working for NFL Network and I was appearing on the show they called Total Access in a segment called Around the League. And usually it was in the second or third segment of the show. And I remember about three weeks before the draft, I called into the producers and I said the first item that I want to do in the Around the League segment tonight is how Mario Williams might overtake Reggie Bush to become the number one overall pick. The producers didn't believe it, couldn't believe it, and when Rich Eisen, the host of Total Access at the time heard about it, he was completely befuddled, confused, and skeptical beyond words. He said, "Are you telling me, Adam Schifter, that Mario Williams may nose past Reggie Bush to become the number one overall pick?" And I said, "Rich, that is my information. That is what I'm hearing. That Mario Williams, a player who was not being talked about as the number one overall pick could turn out to be the number one overall pick." And that was the first time at NFL Network that I believe the network itself made a huge mark in the industry, came up with a story three weeks in advance. It was very meaningful for a lot of people. And even I was curious to see if it actually would wind up happening. And lo and behold, in the 2006 NFL draft with the number one overall pick, the Houston Texans with their General Manager, Charlie Cassily, did take Mario Williams over Reggie Bush, which was first previewed. In an around the league segment, in total access, that I told them they needed to move up to the lead of the show and not just have as an around the league notebook. And I don't remember whether they did or they didn't. I think they ultimately did. That was the right move. And you know what, the pick turned out to be right as well, Mario Williams was a star. All right, Chefty, let's move on to topic number four of this week's six pack. Last year, the Jaguar is traded up to number two for Travis Hunter. Brown's got quite a haul in order for them to move back. And now we've heard a lot of stuff, you know, rumors or reports, whatever you want to call it, that he is going to be focusing exclusively on the defensive side of the ball. You came on yesterday and basically said, they, I don't know if that's 100% true, but where are we at on this and what are their plans for him this season that you know? Travis Hunter was one of the headliners of last year's draft. And as we get ready for this year's draft, he's still in the headlines, but for different reasons. And the feeling around Jacksonville right now is that they have somebody that they can use in a lot of different ways. And I think that's still the plan to use him a lot of different ways. But the one thing we know, they last year traded, Tyson Campbell, their cornerback to Cleveland for cornerback, Reg Newsom. Reg Newsom left in free agency to go to the New York Giants. And when Reg Newsom left to go to the Giants, that left the Jaguars with a hole at cornerback. Now, yes, they are scheduled to have four picks on day two of the draft this year. And they can always draft another cornerback, maybe another receiver. We'll see how they decide to allocate their draft ammunition. But I can tell you that going into the draft, going into the offseason, getting ready for the start of their offseason program, their plan is to have Travis Hunter snaps at the cornerback position spike this year. That's the idea. He's going to be playing cornerback a lot more. That doesn't mean he's going to be playing receiver less. In fact, my understanding is, again, he'll play a lot more cornerback, and they're still going to use him a receiver. Now, what's sustainable, what's realistic? We'll see how this is season goes on. We saw him get hurt last year. But his snaps at corner will spike. His snaps at wide receiver, my understanding is, will remain similar to what they were last year. And the process will evolve as the season goes on, and as he demonstrates what he is and is incapable of. And he's always showing this capable of all this. The reason the Jaguars gave up all the ammunition they did last year was so that if they needed somebody a cornerback, Travis Hunter could play there. If they needed somebody at wide receiver, Travis Hunter could play there too. Travis Hunter could do a lot of things. That's why they gave up all that they did to Cleveland to go pick him with the second overall selection. He's still in the plans at wide receiver, and he's very much in the plans at cornerback. - Yeah, no, I think you hit the nail on the head. Well, I mean, he is so electric and magnetic with the ball in his hands on offense. I think it'd be tough to just say, "Hey, you're just gonna play defense." But like you said, that would be a pretty large admission that they kind of made a mistake. 'Cause like you said, that's why they gave up a king's ransom to go get him because there's a chance that he could have been elite on both sides of the ball. So, and he is still under the impression, like, "Hey, I can do this." They talk nonstop about how his motor is unbelievable. He never gets tired. He can handle it physically. Debut mentioned yesterday. He can handle it mentally. That's kind of the bigger test. There's just so much being thrown at you, weekend and week out. But it's only been a year he got hurt. I think you kind of, you need to see if he can do this because that was a big part of why he drafted him there. Because you believe that he could be, you know, a unicorn in a league that has a lot of unbelievable people, but not many unicorn like him. So, So we'll see what happens again. I agree with you. I think it's a little early to just say, hey, he's going to play defense and he'll maybe have a couple offensive plays. I think this is kind of, it'll be very similar to how it was last year where we kind of, they're pushing and pulling with what works throughout the course of the season. So I'm excited to watch him play. I'm excited for him to be healthy. And I hope I, I do get to see him on both sides of the ball this year. All right, Chefs, he let's move on to topic number five this week's six pack. As we kind of wrap up some of the draft stuff here before next week's episode, what, what is one trend that you are kind of looking out for when it comes to the draft? I'm looking for a run of offensive lineman that could start at about number nine, potentially with Kansas City. I don't know a little start there, but it certainly won't start much later than that. But there are a group of teams starting in the teams really that go to the mid 20s that all seem to want offensive line help. And I think we're going to see a slew of offensive lineman go from, let's just call it 13 to 25 right in that range. There are a group of teams. You could see an offensive lineman in play for Miami at 11 for Baltimore 14 for the lines at 17, the Vikings at 18, the Panthers at 19, the Steelers at 21, the charge at 22, Eagles 23, Browns 24, 9 or 27, Texans 28, Chiefs 20, like you could look at almost every team starting at say number 11 and say there's an offensive line need here. So I think with the way that this draft is deep at offensive lineman, you're going to see a run of offensive lineman. And guess we'll see Maui know a goal early, but all of a sudden the rest of those tackles, the one guard from Penn State, they're going to start flying off the board teams. That's where this strength of this draft is going to be the offensive lineman. You're going to see a whole slew of them go. Once we get to, I would say we could start at number 11 with Miami and go down from there. And we've seen, you know, that you need at least, you know, you got your guys who are starting, you need at least three more guys who you are comfortable with. Plugging and playing, moving around. I mean, I look at the Packers offensive line last year. And a lot of these guys are playing in different positions than where they were drafted. It's kind of that's the way the NFL is. You know, injuries are going to hit you. And we've seen what happens when teams aren't deep on the offensive line. He kind of got to throw out a couple of guys who, you know, are up and down from practice squads and moving from team to team with how good past rushers are in today's NFL. Like you just, you need a surplus of guys who can go out there and keep your quarterback healthy. So that doesn't surprise me at all. And that that don't that always does, you know, I mean, it's obviously not the sexy pick, but that does seem like one of those things where if a team doesn't really know, there, maybe the guy they wanted isn't there anymore where they don't have his high grades on certain skill players or whatever. That is just the, well, let's go ahead and just, let's grab this guy, whether he's a tackle or a guard and hopefully this guy can, you know, come in and play three positions for us on the offensive line if necessary. So that doesn't surprise me one bit. And it does seem like that this is a fairly deep offensive line class. So that'll be interesting to see. All right, Jeffy. Got the sixth and final topic of this week's six pack. The Eagles made another addition to their receiver room over the weekend as they traded for Packers receiver, Don Tavian wicks. What does this mean to you? What is this signal for AJ Brown? Just go, go everywhere you need to go on the Eagles here. Well, let me say this. We've now seen the Eagles add three wide receivers, three. They signed Hollywood Brown. They signed Elijah Moore. They traded front Don Tavian wicks from Green Bay. And again, every time they bring another wide receiver, it just sends a message that clearly they must be open to dealing AJ Brown. Every time another one of these receivers added, you can help, but think they must be open to dealing AJ Brown. Now, you're not going to see AJ Brown traded until June 1st, because the cap ramifications are such that that's the only time it makes sense. The splits are so large. If they trade them before June 1st, it's a $43.5 million cap hit. If they trade them post June 1, it's 16.4 against their cap this year. And they actually saved $7 million in net cap space by waiting until June 1st. So they're going to wait on an AJ Brown rule, but it's not going to stop them from making moves at wide receiver. So they keep adding these wide receivers and they go into this draft. I think still probably looking for another wide receiver, more weapons, whether it be a tight end or wide receiver in addition to offensive line. And I think it'll be, and we'll talk about this more on the draft podcast next week that we do. I guess we have an offensive mind to draft for the Philadelphia Eagles, whether they're adding tackles or receivers, tight ends, whatever it may be, they're going to be getting some help there on the offensive side of football. But there's no way that you could watch this team continue to make moves at wide receiver and not think that they are not open to trading AJ Brown once June 1st rules around. Yeah, you would think so. And if they're not, then hey, all it's doing is just providing us plenty of fodder to say that kind of stuff. Like you could. Right. Yeah, exactly. So, um, and Don Tavian Wicks, I mean, maybe not as many people are that familiar with him. I mean, I think after he had that big coming out party against the Lions on Thanksgiving last year, I mean, I knew this there was a chance this was going to happen. It was kind of leading that way. But boy, I'm gutted that the Packers ended up trading him because he is. He's a great player. I think he's the kind of guy who, especially following Sean Manion there, like I think he's going to be very good for the Eagles. So yeah, we'll see. Maybe this is the kind of thing that allows them to say, okay, what's done is done. We got all these guys, you know, and we're going to go ahead and we're going to move on from AJ Brown. And if they don't, they just gave us months worth of things to talk about. So I think about the Packers losing both on Tavian Wicks and Romeo dobs. Yeah, I definitely didn't think they were going to lose multiple guys. And I guess the, the idea is that you want to get a full season out of it. You're hoping that the wide receiver room is going to stay healthy because that was kind of the thing last year is. Obviously, dobs was always there, but a guy like Wicks, he was really kind of, you know, when someone else would, would get hurt, he'd kind of take that, that bigger role in the offense. So we'll see. I don't know. I mean, I trust what those guys are doing. I think they've had a lot of success on, you know, both dobs and Wicks, late round draft picks. So we'll see. But yeah, going into next year, I guess you're really banking on Tucker craft being healthy in him, you know, basically playing like a number one receiver, even though he's a tight end. Tucker craft and Matthew golden and Christian Watson and Jaden Reed, they still targets. I would think that they may add another one here in the draft. It wouldn't be surprising, but that's some talent loss there in Don Tavian Wicks and Romeo dobs to productive wide receivers who came through for Green Bay when it mattered in the clutch. And now the Packers will have to figure out a way to replace both of them. All right. That's what I got. Last week, I taped it in Indianapolis in my hotel room before I took my daughter out on a brief little college tour to Indiana, IU on Tuesday and Vanderbilt on Wednesday. I got to tell you something. Two great places. IU is beautiful. The people there were awesome. They were kind enough as I was on your show. I got brought to coach signetti's office there, spent a little bit of time with him, had never met him before. And he's a, he's an intense. Oh, yeah. Oh, he's an intense coach and he's done an unbelievable job there in Indianapolis, Indiana. Been a huge boon for that school and he's turned everything around and he's to be saluted and what a great guy he was. Went to Vanderbilt, spent some time on Wednesday with Clark Lee, their head coach. Well, talk about an impressive also. That guy. Wow. Have you ever had him on the show? I don't think so. I know Pat has met him and talked to him a couple times. I haven't met him, but I pretty much everything I've said. I mean, for what, you know, I mean, it's very similar to IU, I guess, you know, what he's done at Vanderbilt and turning them, turning them around is incredibly commendable. That guy was awesome to meet and put like that guy. Whoa. Major respect. He was about as impressive a coach as I've met in recent times. That guy. I love that guy. Two great coaches, two very con gracious people to take us in. I just wanted to thank both Indiana and Vanderbilt for the time that they allotted to my daughter myself last week on that tour.
