‘Lady Dahmer’ The Jeffrey Dahmer Fangirl Who SHOCKED America

In the middle of the night, shortly after 2am, a woman woke up suddenly to the sound of a door slamming shut. She gets up to check things out and she sees that the light is on in her basement. That's weird. So she creeps down the basement stairs and at the bottom of the stairs is a black bucket. And when she looks inside of the bucket, she sees a decapitated head, the head of her own son. This is a crime, almost too gruesome to put into words. It's one of those cases that you feel like you've heard it all already, and then a case like this comes along. This is the brutal murder of Shad Theorian and his killer Taylor Shabbizness. And my name is Brianna and I'm hot on the case. So Taylor Shabbizness was actually born Taylor Denise Coronado on November 23rd, 1997 to her parents Artero and Marla and she was born outside of the Chicago area. Taylor grew up with a younger brother. Her mother sadly did suffer from very severe alcoholism, but as far as I can tell, this didn't really affect the children too much. It's not like their mother was neglectful or abusive when she was under the influence. It of course still affected them a little bit, but overall Taylor and her younger brother still had pretty happy normal childhoods in those early years. Taylor was like any other little girl she loved to play with her friends. She really loved to play volleyball, but all of that, that normal, stable childhood completely crumbled when Taylor was only 11 years old and her mother unexpectedly passed away. It was May 20th 2009 when her mother passed away in her sleep from cirrhosis of her liver caused by her alcoholism. She was only 41 years old. The day before seems like any other, the family all watched a movie together and then they all went to bed and then Taylor's dad woke up the next morning and his wife was dead in bed next to him. The family was absolutely devastated, they knew their mom was sick, but how she passed away was just very sudden and very tragic and the loss of her mother really affected Taylor. This once sweet girl began to really act out and rebel. It also made it really hard because shortly after this, the family all moved to the green bay area for her father's job. Dad also moved on, he remarried pretty quickly after Taylor's mom died so it's a lot of really big changes all at once. Taylor was smoking weed by the following year, she was smoking weed at only 12 years old. Taylor also attempted to take her own life when she was only 12 years old so her dad brought her to see a mental health professional. She was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She was also at some points prescribed different medications, but she was never consistent with taking her medication and most of the time she was just not taking it completely. And then Taylor was using hard substances like meth and cocaine when she was only 18 years old. Because she was acting out so much, Taylor was actually expelled from her high school, her senior year, so she was sent by her father to go live with her paternal grandparents where she would finish up school in Texas. After finally finishing high school, she started college in Arizona, but really quickly she dropped out of college and then returned back to green bay. These early adult years, Taylor is really on and off from using hard substances. It would really be any and all substances that you can think of, but meth was definitely her drug of choice. meth is very cheap and also very highly addictive and eventually long term meth can actually completely alter your brain and it can also alter how your brain feels pleasure. So at one point in your addiction, eventually you can only feel happy or pleasure when you're on meth. Long term use of meth can have devastating effects on physical health, contributing to many very serious mental conditions. There's severe tooth decay and gum disease, often you'll see skin sores from compulsive scratching. But there's also a lot of really lasting psychological effects from long term meth use, including paranoia, hallucinations, drug induced psychosis and delusions, hyperactivity, extreme mood swings and erratic behavior, very unpredictable and aggressive behavior. In these really early adult years, like 18, 19, 20 years old, Taylor is in this really devastating cycle where she's addicted to meth. She would get clean and then she would start using again and everything got really really bad when Taylor met Warren Shabo. Warren was actually Taylor's drug dealer. They got together and then the two actually got married on Valentine's Day 2020. Warren also struggled with substance addiction. He also had a very long criminal rap sheet, which included charges like armed burglary and domestic abuse. It's a real catch. You got there Taylor. Warren and Taylor were a very toxic couple. There were a lot of accusations of cheating. There was a lot of highs and a lot of low lows. At one point they got each other's names tattooed on their necks. The two really brought out the worst in each other and they really enabled each other and enabled their meth use. By only 22 years old, which is so young, you're literally a baby. Taylor was using meth up to 10 times a day every single day. And after marrying Warren instead of Taylor taking his last name Shabo, they both changed their last name to Shabbiz-ness, Shabbiz-ness, Shabbiz-ness. I have no clue. I have no clue where that came from. If you look on the internet, there's a bunch of different reasons why Warren and Taylor changed their last names to Shabbiz-ness. It definitely was Warren's idea and if I had a guess, I'm pretty sure it was because due to his meth use and the fact that he was also dealing large quantities of meth, Warren got really, really paranoid. So he wanted him and Taylor to change their last names. So if anyone was after them, that they couldn't find them. It was not only Warren acting very erratically. Taylor also began having a very serious behavior switch, very severe behavior switch. Only four months into her marriage with Warren, Taylor was walking around their neighborhood, knocking on random neighbors' doors, telling people to call the police, but she wasn't really making any sense and she also wasn't explaining why she needed the police's help. And when the police actually did show up to talk to Taylor, she couldn't remember why she needed the police in the first place. The police are asking her what's wrong, what are you doing? She replies that she's not really sure and that she's on a different planet. The officers could obviously tell that this is a woman that is under the influence. They could also see that there were track marks running up her arms. So the officers are asking her different questions. She does admit to using substances. So the officers are trying to talk to Taylor on the sidewalk and at some point, she just gets really annoyed with them and she decides this conversation is over and she turns to walk away from them and instead walks right into oncoming traffic. The officers try to help her like pull her away from getting hit by a car and she starts fighting them, kicking them and hitting them and they're literally just trying to help her. Knock it hit by a car so Taylor is obviously arrested. She was released on bond, but she was arrested again only two months later. This time a police officer was trying to pull over Taylor for speeding, which is a very simple traffic violation. Why are you speeding? I'm so sorry I know I shouldn't have been speeding. Okay, here's a ticket, please pay it. Sometimes they'll even let you go. If you're like, "Hey, here I was a warning, don't speed again." But that's not what happened. Taylor just pushes it down on the gas pedal and they start having this high speed chain. haze. Taylor's almost hitting people, she's running multiple red lights. She ends up ditching her car in a parking lot and trying to take off on foot when she was obviously caught and arrested again. In her car was meth, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia. And Taylor was once again released on bond pending her trial. This time she was released with an ankle monitor and she also had to wear this patch on her arm that could detect drug use through her sweat. But she would always take this off and she would also be caught multiple times removing her ankle monitor and nothing was ever really ever done about that. And only a few months after that, only nine months into her marriage, Taylor's new husband Warren was also arrested. He was arrested with like almost 50 grams, 50 grams of meth on him and he was sentenced to four years in prison. That's no way to spend your honeymoon. And sometime after that, Taylor announces that she's pregnant. She claims that the baby is her husband's and I tried to check. I could not find if there was ever an official paternity done. The baby, when it was born, did not get the last name Shabot or Shabbusiness. It got Taylor's original name Coronado. Also, the timeline just really doesn't make sense of this being Warren's baby because this baby was born one year after he was arrested. In June of 2021, Taylor had a scheduled court appearance, but she was in no show. So there was a warrant out for her arrests, but she showed up a few days later, so the warrant was canceled. There were so many chances to put Taylor behind bars that unfortunately just did not happen. Taylor ended up leading no contest to both sets of charges that she had against her. She was sentenced to three months in jail and an additional three years of probation, but that was later reduced to just house arrests. And the house arrests was apparently over just a few months later by October of 2021 when Taylor gave birth to her son Mateo. And Mateo was pretty much immediately taken into custody by CPS, so her baby was taken from her. She lost custody completely and her grandparents eventually adopted Mateo. So in the past year, Taylor has been arrested twice. Her husband was also arrested and she had a baby and that baby was taken from her. She lost custody of her child. By the start of 2022, Taylor's marriage to Warren is completely crumbling while he's behind bars. Taylor is the kind of person that was really active on social media and she was also the kind of person that would like really overshare on Facebook very publicly. Like when Warren was first arrested, Taylor would post a lot publicly in defense of her husband saying that he was framed, stuff like that. There was one post that she wrote, quote, I haven't eight into weeks. His bond money comes first. But by 2022, Taylor was posting a lot of things that alluded to some kind of betrayal. She posted a lot about broken trust and how she was never going to be in a relationship ever again. So there's some trouble and paradise here with the shabinaces. And at some point, through all of this meth-fueled insanity, Taylor's shabinness also becomes very obsessed with the infamous serial killer and cannibal from Wisconsin, Jeffrey Dahmer. And it was her obsession with Jeffrey Dahmer and the gruesome murder that Taylor would go on to commit that would earn her the nickname Lady Dahmer. It was clear that not only was Taylor like really obsessed with Jeffrey Dahmer and the killer that he was, but she was also like obsessed with him in like a fan girl kind of way. Like she had a crush on him. She would make lots of internet searches like Jeffrey Dahmer's but and Jeffrey Dahmer walking all sexy into court. There's a lot of thoughts I have when I think about Jeffrey Dahmer and when I see Jeffrey Dahmer and sexy is not one of them. On February 12, 2022, Taylor took a selfie laying in bed next to a photo of Jeffrey Dahmer. She took that photo only 10 days before committing the gruesome crime in today's case. So we clearly know that Taylor's having lots of troubles in her marriage. Her husband, you know, is behind bars and he's, I guess, cheating on her possibly behind bars. So Taylor actually reconnects with an old flame. She reconnects with an old high school boyfriend named Shad Rock Tyrion. So Shad was born on September 7, 1997 in the Green Bay area. He was a local born and raised and he was born to his parents Tara and Michael. He had one brother and two sisters and everyone will always say that Shad was just the friendliest guy. Shad loved all things outdoors. He really loved camping. He loved hanging out with friends and family. He was really passionate about art and music. He was a really, really talented guy. He had a lot of really, really cool hobbies, which included wood carving. That's so cool. Shad's a guy like in his early 20s out here just wood carving. Like that's something you never hear about. I don't know. I thought that was really, really, really cool. So Shad and Taylor, they start dating in high school and they start dating in high school when Taylor's business is still Taylor Coronado. And they actually dated for quite a bit considering that they were in high school. Like they dated like a little under two years. And during that relationship, people thought they were cute, that they were sweet. Shad's father even said that Taylor was a really nice, normal girl, as far as he knew. After they broke up, there was no bad blood. And they remained friends. Of course, they fell off a little bit after Taylor got married and with all of her legal issues. Shad definitely had his own struggles. He dropped out of high school in 2015. So that would have been even before his senior year. And he also really struggled with substance use as well. Taylor and Shad reconnected and we're hanging out quite a bit by February of 2022. They were also hooking up. I think it was like a friends with benefits kind of deal. At this point, Shad is living with his father, but he still occasionally would spend nights at his mother's house. On February 22, 2022, Taylor borrowed her 53-year-old roommate Scott's van and she went and picked up Shad around 9.30 p.m. They also met up with another old friend that they used to hang out with. In high school, his name was Alexander Ganon, but everyone just called him AJ. So the three of them, Taylor, Shad and AJ, they all go buy some drugs and they go back to Taylor's apartment to hang out and get high. AJ said it seemed like a very normal night. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Everything seemed really, really fine. Like at one point, Taylor even offered to give Shad a haircut. So she gave him a haircut and then she took some photos of him with his new due. Together, the three of them smoked weed and they also did meth together. And then some point around midnight, AJ left leaving just Shad and Taylor together. Taylor and Shad then did some tracidone. So there's another substance they're mixing together. They're just mixing a bunch of different drugs together. And then even though she's really high at this point, Taylor drives her and Shad over to his mother's house. When they arrived, Shad's mother and her boyfriend weren't asleep yet, but they weren't in bed and his mother heard them come in and head down into the basement. She saw the van that Taylor would drive parked outside and she could hear Taylor's voice as they headed down into the basement. After falling asleep, Shad's mother and her boyfriend woke up to the sound of someone in the kitchen. They didn't think much of it. They thought maybe they were just getting water or getting a snack. So Shad's mom and her boyfriend went back to bed. Then Tara woke up again around like 233 AM to the sound of a door slamming shut and she saw Taylor's van driving away. Instead of going back to sleep, Tara has some sort of mothers and tuition and she gets up to go check things out. She assumed that her son left with Taylor. So that's why it was really confusing that the basement light was still on. So she heads down into the basement and in the basement there's no one else down there. But Tara does notice a five gallon bucket that she owned was pulled out of storage and now was just sitting by the stairs with a towel laid over it. And that bucket definitely wasn't there earlier that day. So this is really, really weird. So Shad's mother Tara decides out of curiosity to lift up the towel and she looks inside of the bucket. And what she saw was her 24 year old son Shad's decapitated head lying in the bucket. Oh my god, this just makes me sick. This poor mother. I mean, that's just something that no mother should ever have to see. Ever? Immediately Tara runs upstairs and she goes awake up her boyfriend Steve and she's still in complete shock about what she's doing. she just saw. And I mean, imagine being Steve in this moment. He's woken up in the middle of the night from a deep slumber and his girlfriend is saying that her son's decapitated head is in a bucket in her basement. It sounds so unbelievable. Steve thinks that she just had a bad dream and tells her to go back to bed, but she's persistent. She's saying that her son's head is in a bucket in the basement. So Steve gets out of bed to go check it for himself, but even after looking in the bucket, he still can't believe what his eyes are seeing. He's in complete denial. His brain would not comprehend what his eyes were seeing. It was like a defense mechanism that his brain was doing. His brain didn't want to see what it was seeing. So it was telling Steve that this was like an animal or something in the bucket. So he's in denial still, but his girlfriend is telling him over and over and over again that that is her son's head in the bucket. So Steve ends up calling the police and telling them that his girlfriend says that her son's head is in a bucket in her basement. And Steve and the dispatch officer that took this phone call both sound like they're in complete shock and in denial about what Steve himself is even saying. At one point, Tara also gets on the phone and I can play this call for you now or parts of this phone call for you now. You put out there. Oh, fuck it. I wait. No, I can't tell what the fuck. I need to clear my way to jump. Kind of a little freaked out. Just wake up and say that. Yeah. And who is who? Who is the captain? The family just son. Oh, it's a son. 24, 25. Are you missing or? No, we were here yesterday with some chick and then now the son nobody's here and she came up to use the restroom a couple times and she's calling and calling and now she's saying that she hears the phone down there too. Okay. Is she with you right now? Yeah, she goes there. She's going freaked out and I don't know what to do. And you couldn't you went down there, right? Yeah, I know. You went to this hole but I can't. I can't see very well and I can't know what that holds. So there's a couple things in the fuck. Yeah, come to me and I got them. Just something to have to do. She ran over again. I don't know. Do you think you're hosting or do you think that? I don't think so. I went on. There's open the damn bucket. No, I can't. I just ask all men. She's a little freaked out and got a freaking meal. All right. Can I talk to her? Yes, you can. Hello. Hi, Karen. So are you coming to respond on? Hey, Karen, my son is headed in a bucket. I don't know. Let's get to my bed. We'll make waffles. What makes you think that? I love your bucket. When, what did you see? Okay, where's the, where's the residence of the body at? No, yeah. When's a lot of time you saw your son? Oh, well, I guess today is Wednesday. So I think I'm just dad on my name. And you know, my only senior, you've been there for a few days, but I left the laundry. He was here a couple of hours and he left with Taylor and then that was Taylor. Taylor. With that girl. Tell her, "Kornado. You have fur on there." She went to little school at a late school with her. I didn't want to get a little ripples. And then I heard my doors and heard me and started and I went out and there and I went to the back through and the lights were out of the business. I went and heard them off and I looked around and all of them there. But then when I turned around and came back up scared, I was just bad. I had a bucket. It's hollow over there. I'm like, "Oh, great. That way you're not here. How do you get scared?" I hit it in a bucket and I looked and I was not looking at that bucket. What's your son's name? Chad Tyrion. All right, now I have officers that are heading over to your house right now. That's over. I get to stay away from it. Just stay away from that area and say, "Fuck it is." What I was trying to say is I just love it so I don't know if I'm going to say not so big things. Okay, we have the door and stuff. Okay, all right, now. I'm 15 and I'm about to see five. What's your name? I'm 15 and I'm about there and here, three things and we have to make a lot of money. I don't know. Okay, because I don't know that I'm sure they won't try, okay? You're sure it's going to be like a fake head or something? Yeah, that's it. I'm looking at it. All right, all right, and just go ahead and wait for the officers, okay? Okay, all right. Take care. Now, even the police themselves could not believe that this mother woke up in the middle of the night, goes down into her basement and found what she is saying she found. And we have body cam footage of the officers going down into the basement and realizing that this is very, very, very real. Okay. Did you both see this? [BLANK_AUDIO] And that code you heard at the end of the video that the officer said, that was pretty much letting the other officers know that this was not like a mental health check kind of thing. And that this was really, really, really, really real and you need to send more people. Taylor and Shad planned to go to his mother's house to have sex and do more drugs down in her basement. Apparently they had been hooking up for a while and the things that they were into. wasn't necessarily vanilla. According to Taylor, Shad liked to wear this choke chain collar around his neck and liked to be choked a little during intimacy. As Taylor describes it, while she's on top of Shad and they are hooking up, she's pulling on the choke chain and she's also kind of nodding off during this because she's still really, really high. So she's like dozing in and out of consciousness while hooking up with Shad and also pulling on this choke chain that he's wearing around his neck. And during this, she's pulling so hard on the chain that Shad cannot breathe and Taylor admits that this was a turn on for her, that this was satisfying. Shad is fighting for his life and Taylor just keeps pulling on the chain. At one point, she notices that he's choking, that he's coughing up blood and that his skin is turning purple. She's still on top of him so she said that she could feel his heartbeat start slowing down and she said that this really excited her. So she just kept pulling and pulling on the chain until Shad theory was dead. Shad was only 24 years old. Taylor then goes on to commit necrophilia. She assaults Shad's dead body in more ways than one. Not only does she perform acts on him and do things to him and use him to do things to herself. Taylor also uses toys on Shad's body like put the toy in his mouth and also somewhere else. She just completely mutilates his corpse for the next few hours. She then goes up into his mother's kitchen and retrieves multiple kitchen knives. It goes back down into the basement and begins dismembering Shad's body. And she's dosing off multiple times throughout this, the dismembering of Shad's body and also the necrophilia. They're happening at the exact same time and also on and off. Like she'll perform one stop, perform the other, she'll do them at the same time. At one point in one of her interviews with police, Taylor actually tells them that she would be sucking and cutting at the same time, which is so sick. This actually reminds me a lot of another case, the tragic murder of John Lynn committed by Luca Magnata. But in that case, Luca actually filmed the entire thing and posted it online. In the basement of Shad's mother's home, Taylor found a bunch of bags and boxes and storage boxes and units. And she just starts filling them all with different dismembered body parts of Shad. She also tries to clean the basement of all the blood, showing that she knew what she was doing was wrong because she will later try to claim insanity and drug use as a defense. But cleaning the scene, in my opinion, directly contradicts that, at least according to the law, because to use insanity as a defense, you need to prove that you were so out of your mind and so out of touch with reality that you did not even know what you were doing was wrong. Taylor puts pieces of Shad in storage containers, in bags and in boxes. Taylor also puts Shad's head in that bucket that was found next to the stairs. And in that bucket, under Shad's head, and his mother did not know this, did not see this, thank God, were Shad's genitals. Shad's genitals were in the bucket underneath his own head. Taylor, she businesses plan, was to bring all of the different pieces of Shad with her, but she says that she got lazy or confused or forgot and only loaded one crock box into her van that had Shad's left leg and both of his thighs inside of the box. And then she just drove back to her apartment, like that thing happened. So right away, after Shad's poor mother finds her son's head in this bucket, the police are called and the police confirmed that there was a head in this bucket. They already knew that Taylor, she business, was a person of interest or at the very least, someone that they needed to speak to. So officers head over to Taylor's apartment and they arrived there around 5am. Shad's mother told them what the van, that Taylor drove looked like and they find it in the parking lot. The van was locked, they're kind of checking things out and they see that there are bloody footprints right outside of the van. So it's still dark out, it's February 5am. So they're using like their flashlights that kind of peer inside of the van. They don't really see anything. They do see the crock pot that Taylor took from Shad's mother's house like the crock pot box that she put Shad's thighs and his leg inside. But at this point, they don't know that there's pieces of Shad inside of this van. So as the officers are peering inside of this locked van, it suddenly unlocks. Taylor is walking out of her apartment. She unlocks the van with like the key fob because I guess she's going somewhere. She's cleaned up herself a little bit at this point, but she still has some of Shad's blood like on her clothing on her and on her hands. And between killing and dismembering her high school boyfriend and her friend, and this moment where she's face-to-face with the police officers, Taylor also put on a full face of makeup. - She's more like a police officer. (water running) - Um, is this blood? Does this look like blood to you? Or am I just tripping? Bloody footprints? You see this right here? Could possibly be blood. - What's up with that? - Hey, who did that? - Hi. - Hi, Taylor. How's it going? I'm service with the group that put this part in. - Yeah. - Just make sure you've got nothing on your ear. - Okay, go. - Good Taylor. - Okay, yeah. - Taylor, have you ever wanted to do a research? Nobody's armed. - Nobody's armed. - You sure? (indistinct) - The officers bring Taylor back to the station and Taylor was questioned for six hours where she was very cooperative. She was oddly calm and she just told the officers everything she was very open about what happened. And she told them pretty much everything I already told you that they were using meth and she didn't really know what was going on. She didn't really know what happened because she was blacking out throughout the entire thing. She tells them that at one point, she realized that he was coughing up blood and he was turning purple and she told the officers that at that moment, she thought, "Shit, I might as well kill him, I've gone this far, I might as well. " will keep going. The chains are on the snacking search over them. Then just realize that he's going to die or what? I'm just like shit. I think I want a little deep part. He's like, like, I'm Black and I was doing that right? And then like, I look at him on my chains very purple. But I'm like, I'm on these bookings. It's good as you feel it, but then like, when I have woke up, like, no, while they're during the black, I'm on my shit. Like, he was coming up on me. So you realize that by continuing that, you mean that? You actually feel it, right? He was, I swear to god, he was telling me just like, so I'm like, Paul. And I did. Come, come on. At this point, the officers have just found Shad's head and his genitals in that bucket. They don't know where the rest of Shad's body is. So they asked Taylor where the rest of his body is and she's really confused. She can't really remember what she did with it. She does say that she know that she left it behind. So the rest of his body was still in the basement. And she gets really upset with her at this point because this is when she realized that she forgot to take Shad's head with her. She keeps saying to the officers over like the six hours of interrogation, I can't believe I left the head. I can't believe I left the head. I wanted to take the head. I liked the head. So you were shadowing back to Shad's mom's house. How did you get it? Did you see you put in anybody home? No, it's not. What time did you get into the house? Okay. Did it put in anybody home? Leave that at still in the bucket. It's right by the day. That's yours. She also openly admitted to the necrophilia. And this is where she says that she was sucking and cutting at the same time. She also says that she was nodding out during the entire time and that she should have done more drugs. He likes it. That he used what we call props in the past. Yes. Do you remember the key in daylight at all? Yeah, when I looked at the one, the one that's in the daylight. And was the body together still there? Yeah. I had a phone thing because I threw out with my phone. So it took a while to cut the rest of the body out. Okay. All this stuff. So I grind it on one foot, but digging the. You grind it on? Yeah. Did you ever put his penis in your vagina? Maybe you'll try it on. He's going to be cool then, so I'll put it on the wall. Yeah. Okay, that's out here instead. Yeah, no, no. I think it was like half part of the wall. That was still fucking solid. Yeah. Oh, I don't know if that part played with him or. That is part of now. How part of it? Did you? Actually, I was just wondering. I was just wondering if he was doing too well. And this interrogation footage actually ends up being quite controversial later because her defense team tries to claim that she was still really high during this interrogation footage and that it should be thrown out. Let me know your opinions. I've personally never been around someone that was doing substances like that. So I don't know exactly what it would look like. To me, I think she seems pretty lucid, but let me know your opinions. I'm opening to any insight. After this initial confession, Taylor had to go to a hospital. She needed stitches because she cut her hand with the knife while she was dismembering Shad. After the hospital, she was brought back to the station where she was asked a few more questions, and this is also when Taylor was told that she was going to go to jail. And she seemed honestly really shocked and confused that she was going to jail. So the officer's asked Taylor, "Well, shouldn't someone go to jail if they murder and dismember someone?" And Taylor replies, "Oh, fuck yeah, that shit is really fucked up." Like, she doesn't understand that she did that, and that's why she's going to jail. So the officers are still looking for Shad's body, and in the basement, they find traces of blood throughout the entire room. They find multiple kitchen knives, some are broken, some are completely bent, and some are totally dull from what Taylor did with them. In the basement, they find a backpack that has some of Shad's body parts inside. They find a big storage container that also has different parts of Shad inside. They find pieces of Shad's organs inside, and also his torso. There's another duffle bag that has pieces of Shad's inside. They also found a little over 20 grams of meth, as well as a pipe around the bed, and they also find the sex toy that Taylor used on Shad after he passed away. During the autopsy, there were obvious signs of strangulation, which at least confirms that part of Taylor's story. They also find evidence of even more depravity that Taylor didn't even tell the officers. And at this point, you're probably thinking, "Oh my god, how does this even get worse?" This is the thing, women don't commit crimes like this. Women don't commit crimes of this depravity, and this grisly, especially women as the youngest Taylor. She was only 25 years old at this time, which is why I think this crime really blew up in the media in 2022. It was probably the most infamous murder that happened in 2022. Taylor experimented with Shad's body not only did she decapitate him and dismember him with kitchen knives from his own mother's kitchen, but his torso was flayed and deflashed, like she was trying to skin him. And inside of his torso, she put different parts of Shad inside, like she put his foot inside of his torso. And then on March 1, 2022, Taylor's business was charged with first-degree murder, third-degree sexual assault, and mutilating a corpse. She was considered a flight risk, so Taylor was held behind bars on a $2 million cash bond. And while behind bars, Taylor had multiple psychiatric evaluations. During her first psychiatric evaluation, she was deemed competent to stand trial, but this was just the first of many. Taylor had many psychiatric evaluations after this. That also deemed her competent to stand trial, but she also had some from psychologists that her defense team hired that said that she was not competent to stand trial, and in one of those evaluations, Taylor actually threw a chair at the doctor. In a court hearing, Taylor famously attacked her lawyer out of nowhere, completely random, and it was all caught on camera. [Music] After that, the entire courthouse actually had to be evacuated because when the police tried to detain Taylor as she's attacking her defense lawyer, she actually tried to grab one of their guns out of their holster. There's a lot of people that see this video of her attacking her lawyer very differently. There are some people that think that Taylor is truly sick and there's other people that think that this is all a big show because Taylor once and insanity plea. Taylor's trial began officially on July 24th, 2023, where she put in two pleas, one of that guilty and one not guilty by reason of insanity. We obviously knew that was coming. That third friend that was hanging out with Taylor and Shad at the night that Taylor killed Shad AJ took the stand during the trial and I'll play that video. He has a very strange choice of words while he's on the stand. Instead of saying that him, Taylor and Shad were hanging out the night that Taylor killed Shad and dismembered him, he says the words they were chopping it up and I guess Taylor thought that that was really funny because she's like laughing and smiling in the video. Basically I went over to the apartments and when specifically when I got there I was just chilling, chopping it up like how we always do and basically I was like Taylor was thinking asking like do you want to you want to hang out with Shad? She was asking me like for consent to hang out with Shad to bring him over and I was again at the time. It's cool. During the trial Taylor did not have many people to testify in her defense and testify you know for her character. One of the only people that could testify to Taylor's character was her own father but you'll see in the footage her father was brought in to testify on her behalf in an orange jumpsuit and that's because in 2018 Taylor's father was found guilty of assaulting a minor under the age of 16 years old. So Taylor's pedophile father was one of the only people that could testify in her defense which not a good look and on the stand Taylor's father Arturo says that his daughter is a really good girl and that the system failed her. After a three-day trial and only 30 minutes of jury deliberation which is like completely unheard of the jury came back with their verdict and they found Taylor, Shad business, guilty on all charges. Taylor's offense team tried to fight this. They had a psychologist try and argue that Taylor should not be held criminally responsible for her actions because they were still trying to use this defense strategy of her being like insane but there were multiple court appointed psychologists had said that Taylor's actions were not fueled by insanity but they were actually fueled by the drugs all the meth and in the state of Wisconsin any kind of drug-induced psychosis, mental illness or actions is not an eligible reason for an insanity plea and again the judge saw what I said earlier that Taylor trying to clean up the scene and wash up all the blood and stuff is evidence that she knew what she was doing was wrong. On September 26, 2023 Taylor was brought in to be sentenced and she was wearing this thing on her face and on her head. At this point Taylor was having a really big problem with spitting on people so Taylor had to wear this spit guard so she wouldn't spit on anyone. At the sentencing hearing Shad's family members had the opportunity to make victim impact statements. Shad's father took this opportunity to make a statement out of a place of love and compassion and forgiveness for Taylor. Okay I think you just serve before you start if you just say your name for the record. Michael, if you're in, go ahead. Taylor I just wanted to say that I forgive you for what you done in my son and yeah you made a bad choice and now you have to live with it but you know I'm going to miss Shad. He was a wonderful child too. You've grown up just mild mannered and just happy and I know he made a bad choice and like I said I forgive you and I'm going to ask the judge if he can you know if she can see the streets again sometime you know. It may not be soon but I believe everybody makes bad choices and maybe not to the scale but I think there's a lot of hope for you. I think you know you can make use of your time and be a better person and do great things yet you know so it does no good for me to hate you you know. I know I know you got a heart I know you got a mind and I wish you know her and I hope things go well for you. It's all I can say. Thank you. Shad's uncle did not. Shad's uncle pretty much did the complete opposite. Shad's uncle said that he hoped that Taylor got the same fate as her idol Jeffrey Dahmer and if you don't know Jeffrey Dahmer was executed he was sentenced to death. So there's just amazing to me you took an easy way out that's uh you did the most cowardly weakest like that you can do possibly. You know you meet a person in school you say it's your friend you become friends become a girl friend boyfriend lovers gain his trust the innocent person that's very kind would do anything for you and I believe you do that and you have this plan and took your opportunity what you did there's no excuse you know I don't see it in all their way um to take advantage of someone's kindness like that that's like the most irritating thing for me you know you get the no sooner they trust you and you do that you say that you you say that you're a friend you're his friend you said that in the statements but you know I walked in a program and it's free you know you can go get help and it's free all over the place they're selling it and it doesn't cost a dime you know it's either I'm not first thing to tell you in there you know you want to continue doing what you're doing it's going to be jailed institution or death and you chose that path and you chose the wrong path they said here talking about being rehabilitated is is she asking mother again I have her rehabilitated from this no but you can go to an institution you can go to prison try to be really rehabilitated but I don't see no reason why you'd have parole after the doctor had his mention once you have so much damage that it's irreversible you know so why would you don't make no sense to me even to have the option of parole to come back in the game someone's trust like that again you know because that is like the lowest thing in person you do you know what I mean I just don't understand that and the biggest thing is you know it like I said you know the health is free and it's there you chose not to take you know yeah I'm sure you knew you had a problem you know you know they're self over there and if you take the path to go get the help you wouldn't be in this situation right now none of us would be in this situation but to take the cowardly path that you did and to make other people suffer because you are suffering is pretty shitty so that name tiller ship it in a ship business fits you well and I'm not a praying band but after Judge Wallshire's sentences today I will pray that you meet the same fate as your idolistic Jeffrey Dahmer so have a good life ship business Taylor shipness was given the opportunity to address the court she could get up and say a few words and she declined this opportunity which I feel like says a lot a lot of people that are truly remorseful regretful or at least are at least trying to fake it will get up and they will take the opportunity to address the victim's family members, apologize, say something but she just declined this offer. I do want to put in one last video of the judge speaking at this court appearance. I find it very interesting. I think he has a very interesting perspective that I don't see a lot. He particularly brings up a certain statement that her father made and the irony about that statement. I was a little bit put off by statement that I read in the pre-sentence investigation report, frankly, from from from her father. He said on page 17 of that report, "I feel like the system could have helped Taylor and kind of failed her as well." And I reflected on that because it's difficult to understand who people refer to when they say the system fails people. Because you know what? It's not the job of the system to raise people's children. The system tries to do that. The system is not perfect. Like our fight against methamphetamine is not perfect, but we carry the fight on. People in our community get into the system, be it at the court system or the system dealing with child protection. Really, I think what they're referring to, I don't know, but it seems to be the government. The government needs to come in and do more to take care of people who have gone astray. And I'm not sure that that's the case. Nonetheless, attempts are made. Attempts are being made in this courthouse every day. And to suggest that somehow it's the system that failed. It always surprises me a little bit when people come into court. They're coming in and an orange jumpsuit and change to suggest that it's the system that's failed my daughter. There's a certain irony in it. The really is. And it disturbed me when I read that piece. Not so sure. It's really relevant to what should happen to miss your business. But it was relevant to what I heard from this witness here today. Because I think the system does the best it can. It's imperfect. And it has very much to do with the amount of resources that the public wants to put into the system. And those resources are finite. But as I say, in this building, the system is doing everything it can to fight drug use, all of our treatment courts, what everything we do, to try to help push back the plague of drug use. That's courth. And that we've heard so much about in this case. So I read that statement. I heard from Mr. Business's father. He is coming in here to talk about his daughter who's also going through the system. And I couldn't help but think of everything I heard about Mr. Business's son. Because it seems to be a cycle. It seems to be just a circle. It's coming around again. So that if he ever finds himself in the situation that his mother finds himself in, where she's the only one he's got left to come in and speak for him. Again, I guess it's the system that's done something. But it all starts frankly at somebody's home and what they have to offer to their children. And so anyways, I reflect on that. But I'm also convinced that no one is responsible for where they come from. But you are responsible for where you're going. So there's a lot of tragedy that has occurred in Mr. Business's life. There really is. I've already reflected on some of that. And it almost seems as if you could apply the phrase, she never had a chance to miss your business. But as I said, you're not responsible for where you come from. But you are responsible for the choices you make about where you're going. There's one thing that he said that I really, really liked. And I think a lot of people should take the heart. I really liked when he said that no one is responsible for where they came from. That sounds like something that like my mom would say. And I really, really liked that. Taylor Shebusiness was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for the first degree murder of Shad Therian. She also received an additional 10 and a half years for the third degree sexual assault and the mutilation of a corpse. And those are to be served consecutively. She is not allowed to have any contact with Shad's family. As of late 2023, Taylor is still legally married to her husband Warren. I was trying to find an update because I was like three years ago. I couldn't really find anything. Let me know if you've seen anything out there. He is still apparently very devoted to his life. And he continues to post about her on social media. Behind bars, Taylor's erratic behavior, her violent behavior has not changed. She attacked a prison guard in June of 2024. And then she was back in court in April of 2025 for the felony battery charge, where she once again attacked her lawyer. It was a different lawyer after the first lawyer got attacked. He was replaced. And yeah, so she attacked the second lawyer in court. So for the rest of her court appearances after that, she had to be shackled to a wheelchair. I want to end this video, just expressing my deepest condolences for every single person that knew and loved Shad in real life. There's just some things that are just so unnatural. A mother having to see her little baby like that. Because even though he was 24 years old, that was still her baby like that. Is literally something I would not wish on my worst enemy.
