But fucking Henry Abbott strikes again from the goddamn clouds with an article on his blog, "True Hoop" that he even says without using our term, is a level of pure spec. There's some spec to it. Yeah. Based on layers and layers and layers and layers of prime coincidences. And of course, what I'm referring to here is that Jared Kushner's brother, Josh, along with Disney CEO, Bob Iger, more on the actual setup here in a second, purchased the Los Angeles lake as the historic franchise. Yeah. Los Angeles Lakers this week for around $12 billion. The problem is Bob Iger's worth about 600 million and Josh Kushner's worth about 5 billion, roughly, give or take. So where's that on their six and a half? Where's that coming from, Joey Deif? They gotta get that in stat, right? Yeah, that's not enough money. Yeah, so we're gonna get to that in a minute. We also, of course, have to check into dear friend of Joey Deif and mine at this point, Phoebe Gates. She is just, you know, the story just keeps getting better. I still have yet to see Kash Patel in an FBI suit fucking flying down like he's G.I. Joe, ready to announce an arrest. Oh, now you definitely won't. He got his one today, dude. What'd he get today? I think it's kind of funny. But he wrote -- can we pull it up? He wrote, like, the most unhinged caption calling out the Flock CEO to come on the show and, like, tagged him on it. And I'm like, well, there goes that. We obviously had some clips from last week's episode that went kind of viral on multiple platforms, particularly one that was discussing how Flock had reached out to me and suggested that the CEO come on to the show. And I was like, okay, it's not going to be a fucking cakewalk. But I don't think Garrett -- that is his name, Garrett Langley, right? It's not Craig or Greg. I don't know where that came from. Whatever it is. But it's Garrett Langley. Very, very apt last name, Joey Deef, by the way. Very apt last name. Very, very simulation-esque name. Yes, yeah. You've got to enjoy the simulation, people. Just ride it like a wave, you know? But anyway, so Alessi put up this caption with some video that was a part of the clip from last week where he goes, "Hey, Garrett Langley, CEO of Flock, all caps, come on the podcast and we will give you a fair hearing. What's your goal? What's your background? Come defend your company, all caps, Flock." @GarrettLangley, @GLangley, which is his tag on X. So I don't think that one will ever happen. But I would be open to it. As I said, if he does want to do that, he would get a fair hearing. He would certainly get a lot of pushback. And as I also said last week, Tommy G will be in here with me to do it. And we can have a nice kumbaya conversation and see where that goes. But I highly doubt that will happen. So we'll talk about some Flock today. Obviously, the world lost Hayden this week. That was very tragic, what happened there. What was a little eerie about Hayden Panettiere's death is that Deef and I had had on the Google Doc, like when we go to do this, basically like for these shows, an hour or two before we actually hop on here and do it, Deef and I look at each other and say, "All right, what the fuck happened this week?" And throughout the week, like when I see little stories that I've either read or that I want to come back to, I'll put those links like on a doc and then go review them and everything. And obviously, some I'm going to be well-versed in because I've already gone through the whole thing. Others I'm going to check out and see if it's worthy of going on the show today. But we end up having like a lot of material. And there's always shit we don't get to. And so especially things that are a little more evergreen that matter less than I need to cover it this second, sometimes they'll carry over. For a few weeks on these docs. And I had had one section that kind of got lost after about five or six weeks to cover what Hayden Panettiere had said back in May. Some allegations she made both in her books and then laid out more on the Jay Shetty podcast regarding some abuse that she was subject to in Hollywood. And so when she passed away this week, I don't know, that kind of sent a shiver. It sent a shiver up my spine because she had said some things. It's not to say she didn't have some personal demons and things like that. But it's always a little odd when someone comes out and is making some of the claims she did. And we'll try to get to this later. We'll see if we can fit it in today. And then passes away. So that was quite interesting to me. We also had our friend Chris Hansen this week. Yeah. He's getting to a little back and forth. I have a screenshot down there, Joey Deef, real quick. So I've been talking with Chris, who was on the show back for episode 397. And I believe that was March. I talked to him about when the new movie about him, Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson, comes out about us doing a podcast around that again, which we've been talking for a few months on that. And he really wanted to do it. So I had gone back and forth with him a few weeks ago. And he explained that he was going to see the movie in the next couple of weeks or something like that. And so I texted him yesterday and said, "Do we have it up there, Deef?" "Have you seen the movie yet?" He said, "Hey, not yet. Maybe today." And then I hit him with the, "You see how this looks, right?" See how this looks. You got to beat Chris Hansen at his own game. But it turns out, we might as well just go through this right now, Deef, because it's pretty quick. Yeah. Chris Hansen, unbeknownst to me, I was texting him. This was Thursday morning around 10:30. This apparently, as we later learned that night, because he didn't say this in our conversation, this was while he was at A24 HQ in New York. A24 is the company that is distributing the new movie, Primetime, where he was supposed to see the new film. And then prior to doing so, in the morning, he was handed an NDA and did not want to sign it, and left without seeing the film. So, Primetime was made without Chris Hansen being involved. It's based on a 2007 article about, his whole show with to catch a predator which had been blown up at that point and it's a it's a movie where they're going to use him and his likeness and all that to sign this nda there's now like this disagreement happening publicly and i i don't have inside baseball here i've not talked to chris about this but i'm going to talk to him about this and i'm going to talk to him about this since this really came out today but chris went on fox news last night and basically said that they handed him this nda that was really overreaching before he was going to see this film that basically he said and i'm paraphrasing here i had to sign away my rights my my image rights my branding all that etc to which a 20 so he didn't sign it and he left without seeing the film so he still hasn't seen it to which a 24 actually leaked to the press today that no it was just a standard nda that all people who are going to see an advanced screening of the film have to sign to protect ip and spoilers and stuff like that my guess is that the answer is actually kind of in the middle here so and and again i haven't talked to chris i'd love to talk to him just to see what specifically it was what i'm guessing here pure spec is that a 24 in this very corporate-y written you know top 50 law firm writing every fucking detail into an nda in this maybe standard nda it includes all kinds of subsections that basically say you cannot use any imagery or stills or anything of the sort for any promotion self-promotion etc etc you have no rights to be able to discuss the name of the movie in relation to any things or business endeavors you do i'm totally guessing but if that is the case i'm going to have to sign off on that and i'm going to have to sign off on that and i'm going to have to sign off on that and i'm going to have to sign off on that in case it that's an nda that the average person who's going to see this film early wouldn't give a shit about but chris hansen probably would because the fucking movie's about him and robert pattinson is playing him in his name so unless someone's paid by contract something before a project happens where their image and likeness is going to be used and maybe they're paid you know i'm going to make up a number a hundred thousand dollars to not you know to basically say okay you guys are allowed to use all this and i won't use it as promotion later if that doesn't happen and in this case a film is made in the image and likeness of someone without them even being involved i don't think that in that scenario they should have to sign an nda that includes them signing away their rights to use anything from the film i think they kind of have a right to do that so that's some spec but stay tuned on that maybe we'll get chris in here for some some inside baseball i would i haven't seen the film but i would love to see chris be like involved with the rollout and also see him you know maybe do a podcast with him and and robert pattinson that'd be fucking sick but at least be involved in like the full press tour and be able to go do this whole thing so we will monitor that situation and then that pretty much covers that today but also i i do have to say the fucking did you see the edp documentary uh not really no i've seen i saw clips of him with hansen those are some good oh chris hansen cooked him like thanksgiving dinner um but yeah it's kind it's still kind of new to me that whole thing so edp 445 if you never seen him he was a huge influencer online he was this really obese dude who actually went viral back in like 2011 reacting to eagles games because he's a huge philadelphia eagles fan i'll say unfortunately now because i'm a huge eagles fan but he would just have total crash outs and he became really famous for having crash outs and he'd be way over the top and all that but you know that's how he got famous and so in 2021 alex rosen who's a guy who like tries to predators online you know do like what chris hansen does he received information that edp might be a predator and so he approached him online posing as a 13 year old girl and long story short got edp to show up to the intentions of of abusing this girl on camera and got caught and stung again just like hansen did the problem is alex rosen botched how you do the investigation and which is a problem that happens in this space you heard mariana van zeller talk about that to where people are doing the content with this and they don't think about the legality about how they do these investigations but he botched the case so charges were not able to be filed but edp lost all his pages online and everything and was exposed as being a predator and so this guy mike klum i think it's klum it's c-u-l-m if it's klum i'm sorry but shout out to mike apparently he spent a couple years like on and off around edp with edp's permission which i cannot for the life of me believe that he ever agreed to do this but shout out to mike klum he makes this long documentary i think it's a couple hours like called inside the dark the monster mind of edp something like that and it is dark this guy is such a fucking idiot and such a sick sick predator it is on youtube it has millions of views it is age restricted i i do have to say i fully understand why youtube age restricted it this i mean it's it it is not a be prepared for a dense watch i'll put it that way like they like mike did not pull any punches he has all kinds of on-screen interviews and at one point he brought in chris hansen to just absolutely skillet fry edp and i'm not gonna play the clip because it'll get this video fucking not but you can go find the clip very easily on literally every social platform you know the complete apathy and casual nature with which edp was fully admitting to having had full intentions of abusing that 13 year old girl and saying he doesn't have a problem with it it is what it is closed off by the way with chris hansen spoiler alert saying you know if alex rosen hadn't botched this your edp 445 ass would be in prison and it's got like the fucking like the sweet caroline thing coming in the background just fucking closing it again mike amazing job with the editing but i would highly recommend that documentary just be prepared to see some really ugly shit i i just think it's really important though because if you know we talk about the epstein case a lot on this show and and some of these really sick elites that do stuff like this but you know you want to see how deep-rooted the psychology is up close from anyone whether they're an elite or a dude like edp who's not an elite but he's a fallen from grace right he's elite in size i'll tell you that it's fucking this large human being yeah he put he got to be pushing five bills easy but you know i i just think it was a really good psychological look into how that brain works in all seriousness and and you know the iq on him is so far below room temperature yeah but it's high enough to know full well that what he's doing is sinister and gross and he is just so sadistically monstrous that he openly admits to it and chooses completely to ignore it so maybe my psychologist and psychiatrists out there can give all the proper i don't know diagnoses for that i'm not the guy to do it but there's a lot of people out there who are bad shit going on there so i'll definitely check that out but let's get to this henry abbott joshua kushner story so it's long and it's layered and it's detailed i'm gonna read some of it like little pieces of it but i'm gonna give you a layout of what henry abbott is is saying could be the case here and again we're gonna say for us and for henry as well who made it pretty clear in this article very clear it's pure spec it's just you know it's a lot of layers right here so let's back let me read the opening area right here so you got you guys can get a lay of the land essentially lakers sell for 12 billion dollars from mark walters to what's reported as joshua kushner and bob eiger and people i think it was 12.5 12.5 and it's just like closed case and people are wondering what else is going on here yeah in comes henry abbott ramona shelburne writes los angeles lakers being sold to josh kushner by bob eiger for 12.5 billion a record-breaking price multiple sources told espn and now kushner and eiger might also be on the hook for the bus family holdings too so the bus family had sold their majority stake after having it for decades to walters just last year it was like 13 14 15 months ago more on him in a second and so they sold the remainder of their stake in this deal so it's just like a clean total new ownership group under the terms of the deal reports the new york times kushner is putting up personal money and eiger may as well and again to be clear this is joshua kushner not jared it's the younger brother eiger may this is what henry abbott points out from that quote somehow every media outlet is reporting that bob eiger is buying the lakers but yet they're saying bob eiger may put up money how do you buy a team if you're only gonna may put up money and we're talking about 12.5 billion here that doesn't make sense so he says let's estimate that mark walter now owns 85 of the lakers the buses own almost all the rest if that's right someone has to get walter 10.625 billion stat and the buses would like a couple billion as well eiger is good according to the new york times for perhaps zero and so josh kushner worth a reported five billion again we're not even halfway there needs a ton of money so henry says if we go to lunch and you generously pay on your credit card would the media report that i'm buying lunch and what if someone else pays your credit card bill because forbes estimates that bob eiger is worth around 600 million and josh kushner around 5 billion who in the hell is actually buying the lakers then the tidiest answer would be whoever mark walter owes all the money to so before i read this next paragraph mark walter is currently under massive federal investigation for tax fraud that's good yeah listen a little bit of tax fraud apparently never hurt anyone and they are it's just like the penn state thing dude they're going after a good and decent businessman who's bravely creating jobs in our economy what is the problem that's true that's true yeah a lot of diverse jobs too did i just change your mind kind of a little bit yeah we'll do the fraud we'll let that slide that's good we'll let it slide but anyway he's under investigation this is the guy who owns twg holdings which is this massive multinational holding company that includes i believe below it can you check me on this joey d like guggenheim partners which is where he even came into the picture i think he was like the head of that for a while major financial outlet right there but he's been under massive investigations so this guy yes had bought the lake i'm correct on that okay he had bought the lakers he's owned the dodgers for a while now and he chelsea chelsea fc as well over in england he's just trying to get out from under this he started collecting a little too many assets too fast and he's like he likes playing with balls it seems playing with balls that's right yeah that's right you know listen whatever you're into and listen mr walter you do you you do you you do you anyway so walter is doing you by trying to now i would say fire sale the lakers but like he got a record-breaking deal which is another thing here joey d if i own a team even if it is a crown jewel like the lakers and i am under massive tax fraud investigation all these billionaires were you know powerful people that are coming in to buy it they're all sharks they know you you're a billionaire you're a billionaire you're a billionaire you're a billionaire you have to sell it yeah i mean he's got legal fees and he's gonna he's gonna he's gotta batten up the hatches here yeah and they're still paying an insane record deal like that meaning they wanted it that quickly that badly with as little competition as possible when yes it's the lakers i'm not gonna lie like that's that is a in sports that is a crown jewel franchise no one is saying it's not but like bob eiger needs you know what i mean like it's a little it's a little weird yeah it is a little weird it's a little weird anyway back to what henry was saying here he said so who in the hell is actually buying the lakers the tidiest answer would be whoever mark walter owes all that money to because again he's had some money problems mark walter's business meltdown is far-reaching and complex but pablo torre brian windhorse and others note that muba dolla capital great name that's a great name yeah i thought it was fake they end up being evil great branding muba dolla capital agreed to anchor a 10 billion dollar syndicated investment for one of walter's businesses a few months before he purchased the lakers for that exact amount it's interesting so you know they they inject them with 10 billy buys the lakers for 10 belly almost like it's a little you know a little trade you hear that sound in the mic joey little slushy slushing around right listen listen the gulf states love basketball too said no one ever anyway and then as we discussed in the last installment referring to his last reporting bloomberg reported in july about investigators looking into walter and this is from bloomberg key in on this folks an early focus of the inquiry was a deal twg struck last year with mubadala capital an arm of an abu dhabi sovereign wealth fund according to people familiar with the matter in april 2025 the companies announced capital would incur a 10 billion dollar syndicated investment in twg prosecutors were looking into whether mubadala capital had been misled about valuations said the people who asked not to be identified discussing confidential matters it's unclear whether prosecutors are still pursuing that line of inquiry now henry adds mubadala mubadala is this yeah a lot of people are saying is a sovereign wealth fund owned by the government of abu dhabi mubadala is currently chaired by man's or bin zayed el naihan otherwise known as mbz you got mbs in saudi you got mbz in abu dhabi let's just keep it simple okay while kaldun khalifa al-mubarak is a managing is managing director and group ceo so for the purposes of this article they're going to call him kaldun which is what he's often referred to he went to college in boston attending nba games kaldun lived in los angeles where he became close to ari emmanuel who's like the most powerful agent in wme as well emmanuel found doctors when kaldun's kids got sick kaldun funded emmanuel's ascension to run a giant sports conglomerate but appears to have a particular interest in the nba also full disclosure here just you know nothing's not on the up and up it's very public on my profile i i do have an agent at wme as well which is what emmanuel owns but should mention that while we're reading this now that walter has become radioactive it is possible is it possible that kaldun would feel comfortable doing business with someone like bob eiger and this is the last part i want to read down here okay here's eiger announcing disney's seventh theme park with a video above we're not going to play it but that's what the announcement is in abu dhabi it's a complex deal that took some negotiating between disney and guess what kaldun's brother muhammad khalifa al-mubarak chairs the department of culture and tourism abu dhabi interesting thing that he was on the other side it's like they're all related if kaldun and mubadala was okay with walter owning the lakers in air quotes there reportedly purchased with muba dollars i like that term henry that was nice muba dollars that's gonna stick might he be okay with bob eiger and josh kushner doing the same thing meaning there's a little backdoor deal now and this is where i'm going to start to summarize the information and we'll come back to some little important passages that henry puts together in this long article again we should link that down below don't let me forget that joey d okay i'll do that tonight when i'm editing this but you know i encourage you guys to read it because henry as usual is going step by step bit by bit shot by shot putting it all together but essentially the implication is that this sovereign wealth fund as a part of abu dhabi was slushing money through mark walter they are now letting the ownership of the lakers change hands and appear in what henry is speculating to be this sale when in reality the same money is behind it all and so i think what you got to do is go back to where henry talks about the arab spring here so when the arab spring happens back in 2011 all these nations it started was it tunisia it started in and then it was egypt right after that right after that yeah it didn't start in egypt egypt was tech remember basim said they were technically second and i think it was tunisia that was first okay so yeah you're right obviously they had massive uprisings it was the first time that social media led to a massive social movement that enacted government changes in major countries there started to be all kinds of uprisings across a lot of other countries all across the middle east and there were a lot of governments stretching as far as russia they were very concerned about the precedent set here i think at one point henry mentions this in the article there were like a hundred twenty thousand protesters outside the kremlin and putin was like yo that can't be happening fam yeah that was the color revolution yeah yeah we we ain't doing this so at the time mbz did exactly what what everybody does he invested in an israeli spy company an israeli run spy company to create surveillance on the citizens so that nothing problem i think that the access and security that we give up on these phones is absolutely an issue behind the scenes i think it's it's a pandora's box that's been open and now cannot be closed and it but as i as i point out to him i'm like jim i believe that you won't use that as a bad precedent to do way worse things but who's to say the other fucking bad agent in there isn't going to use that as of these people they're all just reaching out they could be horrible guys they'd be great guys i want to assume they're great guys i'm like all right let me assume you're a great guy who takes his job seriously and really does want to stop crime and prevent it and help people that's awesome when you create the precedent to be able to do this you are also creating the precedent for the bad guy holding your same badge that you don't know about the rotten apple if you will to do the same thing this is called human nature is the definition of a slippery slope. It is exactly what our founders warned about. And so it has disappointed me when guys who are in law enforcement, who are paid to uphold the law based upon people's constitutional rights, cannot see the irony of preventing crime by violating potentially, or I should say, let me be fair, opening up the door for the violation of people's constitutional rights in order for that to happen. That's not supposed to be how it works. And whenever I've said to these guys, like one line I've given these guys is they're like, what's your big issue with the flock thing? And I say, I've read the book 1984. And again, let's say, let's not be a hypocrite. Let's not ignore these phones. These phones are an issue. But in public spaces, against Trump, your will, all these things going up, we played the chart a few weeks ago of how correlated they are with January 20th, 2025, when Donald Trump came in and his first day, the next day in office, he's doing a press conference with Larry Ellison and fucking Sam Altman about the AI state. Like we've been seeing these bars. And by another thing, people are talking about, well, are you going to talk about companies like Axon, which we have already? Yes, we will.
