The transcription captures a behind-the-scenes and live episode of the "Killtony" comedy podcast, hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe. The hosts, including Red Band and panelists, reflect on their 13-year journey in comedy, moving from LA to Austin, and emphasize the value of spontaneous, organic moments over strategic planning. They promote "Killtony Plus," a new subscription service with uncensored episodes and bonus content. The episode introduces first-time panel guest Murray, a rising comedian with a Netflix special, who shares his nervousness and excitement about his career. The show features various comedians performing one-minute sets, including returning golden ticket winner Aaron Heltz, who jokes about his haircut experiences, and Annie Lederman, who discusses personal milestones. The hosts engage in humorous banter about eating habits, a wheelchair story, and a drummer at Eddie Bees. Post-show, they discuss the challenges of extracting entertaining stories from guests and praise standout performances, like Pat O'Neal's set. The overall tone is casual and chaotic, highlighting the show's improvisational spirit and the camaraderie among the comedians.
And we've been in Austin for six years, and we did it in LA for seven years before this, so we're in year 13. Yeah, man, I was just saying, I was driving through one hour and a half, with comics, let's say I'm still on the higher page right now. Yeah, it's because it was the only thing I really wanted to do, it wasn't working. Yeah, and even, and you know, and we've kind of gotten away from it, but it's always great when there's a touch of it. But back then, even for people like us, you know, I'm like 20 years in next May, how about you? Right, so back then, 13 years ago, you know, it was the only thing where you could get like a little tidbit, maybe not from me, but from a Jimmy Car, whoever, right, that had been doing it as long as we're doing it now, back then, and a little tidbit where it's like, God damn it, maybe editing really is important. Yeah, you know, there's a lot of work on it watching the show, it's cool, because the advice was just important. Exactly. And we love hearing that, like, you know, now, when you do it watch, when you say, you know what we're going to do about it, it's like, yeah, exciting about that. Yeah, and sometimes the, sometimes the wildest things happen, we've found like a, I think a seven, 80 year old man the other day, we want a golden ticket, like he was just, so fucking funny, yeah, so funny, and the guy's been waiting his whole life to be discovered, he's been doing comedy 30 fucking years or whatever, and he's like, this is the best fucking day of my God damn life. It's from Atlanta, Georgia. I love that, that's great. That's what it is, you know, I keep it loose, it's like that, you know, it's like, and sometimes people around me, you know, whether it's red band or the panelist or whoever is like, what are we doing? What's going on? Let's get out of here, and I'm like, come on, you know, it's got to, it's got to like go with it, it's got to come from like here, not some strategic plan thing, but yeah, that Aaron Blyell episode, we never would have found Aaron, ever, and man, that's, he fucking, dude, he's great. He's doing well. Since I met him there, I had a good, like, end, and he's just, like, taking it up with this, but I started off from playing and talking to him. (upbeat music) - All my friends are getting married, having kids. I feel behind, I've always been behind. I remember when I was 14 and I hadn't gotten my period yet. I would just pretend, walk out of the bathroom at school like do not go in there. I just did a big period. (audience laughing) Last one of my friends to get my period. Last one of my friends to kiss a boy. He was 16 and guess who can't coach soccer anymore. (audience laughing) - How do you feel about tonight's set? - Well, we will see. Should be fine. - Should be fine? - Yeah, but it's three this week, so. - Yeah, well, definitely. - How do you feel about MSG coming up? Try and not to think about it. You're like the most positive. - Yeah. - But yeah, it's just like different, like putting the sets together. It's like certain jerks I have to say for that. - Yes. - That like, that could have put into it. (audience chattering) - Man, those are fucking great. You know what I mean? I'm excited, obviously. - For sure, we think about it too much. - Last question, have you seen the Odyssey yet? - No, I want it. I'm fucking spun out by it. What are we doing? Fine, I love first of her knowledge. Got you. In the first stage, in her stellar, sorry. Everybody's upset about it, because it's woke. I mean, I don't think it's necessarily woke just because look at any angles in it, you know? What I'm doing. (audience chattering) - But yeah. - I have not yet, I want it. - Thank you so much. - I will say it, thank you bro. - All right, Annie, you are just fantastic. We love you here. Truly, one of the top young rising comedians in the world. She's here at the mothership all the time. Crossing on. - To a lineup. - To a new kid. - To a new kid. - How do you feel right now? - I don't know how it went.
I got to ask my co-workers. - Oh, you get frickin' fat in the ass. - Oh, thank you. - That was amazing. - Thank you. - Thank you. - Thanks. - All right, beats are going to be a joke. - Oh, right here, there's parts that haven't been here. - Oh, yeah. - Okay. - Those guys, are you okay? Is that the lead forward? - Okay. - All right, the lead's going to power time. - Those guys have to work. - Oh, thanks. - Thank you. - And I feel like he's always taking on pills. - Oh, okay, I know right now. - He's right here. - If a 63-year-old ran marches in my room, soldered the ready. I didn't have to pop that voter. - Neepops. - All right, you got a good one. - Thanks, Amy. - Thank you. - That was so great. - Congratulations. - Thank you. - If you got a CVS, you know what I got pulled. - Whoa, now overplay, oh look at that. Oh my god. - Who told us he had a big dick? - Ah! - You got to do the fucking thing that we want. Everybody wants to go live. Nobody wants to get on it. We're not creating things we're all safe. That means we get to sit back and enjoy the hot water. - Yeah. - And then we'll be show. We have a big team of people who came up all week. - And you know we like a lot of fun tonight, the beat. Enjoy yourself. I know you will listen to a brand new set from The Real Deal. Oh yeah. (audience cheering) - Books! I go down a lot of rabbit holes. I'm a furry. (audience laughing) A little about me. (audience laughing) Seriously, ever since the Epstein emails came out, I can't even look at a pizza anymore. (audience laughing) Without getting hard. No, no. (audience laughing) That sort of stuff, it's an issue all over the world. I recently read a story about a man in the Middle East who married a child. Yeah, it's called The Quran. (audience laughing) And they put it right in the book. (audience laughing) I would have left it out, you know? (audience laughing) And speaking of religious texts, I just learned mind-conf is still available on Amazon. (audience laughing) Even worse, they're selling it under cookbooks. (audience laughing) (audience laughing) Okay. Oh, shake it. Wow. (audience cheering) (audience cheering) Just sound believable. (audience cheering) I was like here now. Oh, great. I'm in the dorms. (audience laughing) Tell me how it went. (audience laughing) It was fine. Hey, you can't be in here. I have to communicate. I know you're on the show too. Wait, you're gonna get out. (audience laughing) It was good. I tried some new stuff. Not true. Some older stuff. (audience laughing) It was good though. It was a fun room. They're kind of smaller, so. Yeah, I know. Had a good time. Got you. Yeah. What would your 23 year old self think of you right now? He would say, wow. How have you been in this past year and a half? I'm 25. Yeah, yeah. I'm 10 burns over here. Before, before, before, you're very first set. You went viral on YouTube. People love you on social media, on the reals. You have your own catchphrase. How do you feel right now? Right. I feel great. It's nice to be back here at the club and seeing the people I love. It's been a fun couple of years. That's good. Are you going to Emma? She next week? I am not. Okay, well, you will next year. B, what do you think about tonight's episode? Interesting. I like-- I mean, you know, it had some flair. Yeah. I didn't hate it. I thought it was pretty interesting. Some of those interviews, though. You like the interviews, or-- Yeah. Some of them-- those are a lot more entertaining than I agree. You know, I had to dig it out of them, and I-- I know you're supposed to-- I was supposed to throw it in there. Oh, my gosh. The deep shovel, dude. Yeah, I know it. And there was a lot of hard soil. I'll tell you. Oh, my God. And then all of a sudden, the smoke clears and you find gold, right? Right, exactly. Dude, hooked his handicap kit up to a 60-mile-an-hour wheelchair. Oh, my God. We finally got it out of them. Got it out of them. And then I-- and then I go-- So you rake them up on a freeway. It's 60 miles an hour. Going down a wheel to-- And you don't know how he died? Yeah. That was a really good-- I'm kind of getting a feeling that he know why. Oh, yeah. It's so fun. It's so fun, man. And getting to what? Carried. Come here. I gotta tell you. I go to Eddie Bees the other night. And I'm telling you. The band. And I-- And I've been there literally a hundred times on the bar side. This guy's playing the drums with the band. Yeah. So fucking good. Yeah. I mean, he's breaking it down. He's taking chances. No other drummer's there. And now in all of it. And I'm seeing the musicians love it and bounce their heads off too. It's the whole fucking thing you get. Fucking bad news. Yeah. And how much did food you get at Eddie Bees every fucking other night of the week? What's that? How much good food do you get at Eddie Bees all the time? First of all, I get a lot. Yeah. It comes in. And he's like-- Oh, he's the best. I got my steak. I got my buck and lobster. [LAUGHTER] Right again, the night started. Are you going down this gym? I don't. I'm from here. No, no, no, no. I figured out. And we both been positive. I'm going to do our-- Are you taking this gym? Like, I'm going to say no to left and right. Oh, yeah, it's not. I can't do eight week-ends. I'm perfect. I don't see the chair. I'm at the camera. What's the other thing? You want to go to the gym? I'm going to go back to the gym. You buy that? Yeah, I bought it. I stole it. Perfect, man. Thank you. Thank you, brother.
