Yes, those words are correct. Kentucky is in first place in the SEC. You can give us a shout, 899-280-287. As you can hear, it is a mob scene here on the streets of Norman, where the same spot where we were for the pre-game show, Louis has now been taken over for the Post Game Show. Most of Oklahoma fans have cleared out, and all that's left is the Kentucky fan base, who is going to celebrate another victory in an amazing season so far. (crowd cheering) Kentucky is now three and one in the SEC, and they win a game that is their third straight road win in the conference. I don't know when the last time that's happened. I'm sure there's a stat somewhere, but it's been a long time. Oklahoma was a great host. I actually really like the Oklahoma fans, although I am worried that there's going to be a fight somewhere around here. But the big blue nation showed up, and what an excellent scene it was. Cats down in the fourth quarter, 13-7, come back and win 21-13. I just want to take a second, Ryan Limon and Drew Franklin are joining me. I just want to take a second to just talk about what we saw tonight. This isn't just a massive win in this game, a bowl eligible, et cetera. Kentucky now will play a Vanderbilt team that is not one of conference games next week at home. They then have a by-week, and they have a legitimate chance to come back, play three of the four teams that you probably measure yourself against the most as Kentucky. And if they win three of those four, the Kentucky Wildcats could be in the playoffs for the college football. (crowd cheering) And even more to the point, let me just throw this out there. What if I told you that all you have to do is be Vanderbilt, Missouri, Tennessee and Florida, and you could be in the SEC Championship game. It is sitting there for the taking, it's unbelievable. - Tonight was a very, very special night, and I'm so proud of our team, and I'm proud of our coaches as another gut punch they took, had to come from behind again, and the second half to win an SEC Road game. - The first time it's 2009, I think Corey Price told me, that's Morgan Newton, one, three SEC Road games. So it's quite a historical night for everybody. - The police, by the way, just came. This is such a scene that the Norman police are saying, we're gonna have to break it up in a minute, but we got 15 minutes before they're gonna make y'all leave, so we'll enjoy the 15 minutes. - We're staying, we're staying. We walked in the trap, we're taking over the trap. Police, right, your citations will take 'em. This is our corner. The corner of Boyd and Asp. We went belt to Asp tonight. Police, we are staying for the next hour. Come get some, I need to take it. - Alright, let me just say, I love you, but as you're law, you don't look at the police and say come get some, so we're not gonna do that. We're not gonna do that, but nevertheless, Kentucky with the huge win. Let's talk just a second about the game. First of all, I am going to say that I was good luck and not getting in the stadium. I got in late, so I walked in, and as I walked in, Kentucky had just scored, so I missed the first point, so it's seven of it. I set there the entire game, Kentucky was down 13 to seven. My thought was, alright, if we lose, I wanna get back to the hotel to do the post game show. The moment I walked out of the stadium, I heard through the intercom, interception, Kentucky, tie Bryant. (audience cheering) I didn't turn it on my phone, watch the rest of the game on my phone into parking lot with Ryan. Right, I was bad luck. The moment I got in the stadium, we started losing. The moment I got out, we started winning, so I think that's gonna just be what it has to be. - You missed the best drive of the game. That opening drive, man, was beautifully. It's converted to two-third downs, converted to four-down, and they scored, but then the offense just disappeared. - It just disappeared. But in the fourth quarter, Drew, they turned up the pressure on defense. They started bringing a lot of heat, got to material, he was absolutely a disaster. In the fourth quarter, Will Stein apparently sat after the game. They just decided it was time to turn up the heat. You watched it, and as soon as they did that, it completely changed, and then offensively, some big plays by Minchie. Big catches by guys. It was a huge fourth quarter. - Nick Anderson. - Nick Anderson. - Nick Anderson, who I don't know if he, it looks like who knows, maybe Ernie Schelter, I don't know what happens, Schelter. But what gets his former team with the crowd bullying him, every time they mentioned his name, big catch after big catch. - He was amazing. Speaking of the crowd brewing, how many was supposed to go to stick as the UK section? He did not do that. We were surrounded by him. - Yes, let me say that. So how many was supposed to get me and Drew, we were supposed to sit in the UK, said we were the only, we were the only UK fans, anywhere close to us. That was, especially as this guy started having a couple more drinks, it got a little touchy. - All right, but we, this was never gonna be a high scoring game. So it's a little deflating, the offense didn't play well, but that was always gonna be the case. We said on the pre-game show, it could be like first to 21. - I believe it was you that said, first person, the first team that scores 21 points wins. That's exactly what happened. - Yeah. - It was always gonna be the game. This was always gonna be a nasty game. You need to get a turnover. You're gonna take, we got the turnover, you did exactly what you need to make it happen. A little bit of late, I can nitpick. I kind of wanted to go to Phil Goat by four or whatever, it doesn't matter. Defense got the job done. You win a low scoring game. You win on the road. Just to be three and 0 on the road is insanity. - It is a tear. - If you go in here and win this game like they did. - You're a guy, Todd Bryant with the pick six that ends up winning the game. You've known that kill a long time, Ryan, for a Kentucky kid to be able to get that catch and run back is huge. - And then his first interception really just changed the whole momentum of the game. - It really did. - He made that touch down. I mean, the interception led us to a touchdown. He's just a great kid. He's from a great family. He's got great parents. He loves this place. He loves playing for Kentucky. He's going to play on Sundays. He's becoming one of the best safeties in the SEC. He's just, I'm just so proud of him right now. - You know, so it's 14, 13, we have the ball. We're driving. It's fourth and four, and they go for it. At the time I didn't like that decision. And my reasoning was, look, their offense can't move it. They have an all-American kicker. So if they get within 55 yards, they've got a chance to make it. But, you know, that's just Will Stein's mentality. And it may just be in part about, we're going to do what we're going to do. It didn't work. But then we get the interception to get it back. And we're able to get the pick six. And so it ended up working out. I didn't like the decision at the time. But Ryan it's consistent with what Will Stein does that his personality and you get it four out of five times that one time You don't get it, but the other four times are great moves. He's gonna do that. I mean we might forget used to it He's gonna be doing stuff like that his whole time. He's here and I'm I'm good with it Because it's worked out quite a bit in a row I mean this one didn't work out, but we ended up winning the game anyway I would have gone up by four clearly. I don't know what I'm talking about. We won the game I do worry that we've leaned so much into with the aggressive team That we almost do it too much. I felt like that. Don't you think that's in part? I agree with you Yeah, but don't you think in part though if you're gonna air air on the side of being consistent with your personality And so that you're you have a mentality with your team that everybody knows there's no hesitation either Like they weren't calling time out to think about it. They immediately we're going for it They have they did and then on the drive where we took the lead Okay, after tie-brides first interception that drive. I watched on my phone walking back But what a great drive just methodical It was will sign in his bag in that fourth quarter a couple big third downs I like you know, we don't get to be in the atmosphere so much I like that just it's kind of just just Needle of them like you could feel their fans like little five yards at a time picking up a third down They had so many moments they thought we'd have it and then we just get another third down We just kept moving and moving and moving and you could feel the panic in the crowd I said this in the pregame our fan base. Yeah came in with their chest out and I I went all over that stadium before They all had caveats. Well, we're gonna win, but if this happens they weren't confident going in Yeah, let me say this about the people that are here That was it wasn't a massive group But that was a loud set of fans for Kentucky in that stadium. I mean the go big blue chance throughout the game Yeah, I have to tell you I think Oklahoma fans probably are just down on their team They were kind of quiet the whole game and because of that you could hear even though it wasn't a massive group You could hear the Kentucky fans Through out the game kind of making noise and it came through on the TV broadcast so you can hear go big blue Now I've always thought our best crowds were the SEC basketball tournament crowds today may be the best crowd This may be the best crowd we've ever had the SEC road crowd Yeah, it's a better crowd football game. He's an absolutely great crowd All right, so for all of you here the police have asked me that you at least moved to this side because they're about to open up this road And so I know it's nothing to do about that Franklin is not in charge when it comes to he will not be able to get you out of anything So we will take a break for those of you calling there isn't the way so we'll have to we'll do the best we can The cell service here has been bad. We are connected though So that's good. We are going to celebrate here on the streets of Norman Oklahoma Kentucky wins 2113 six and one in the SEC we'll be right back Welcome back. It is the local Toyota dealers KSR post game show What's amazing is these people really can't hear us talk But they're just cheering and partying in the street and they can't even really hear us talk But that's all right Kentucky wins Let's talk before we go phones couple more plays and moments in the game Ryan they go they actually for the first time lost the middleweight yeah gave away a touchdown to the first half but Oklahoma gets first ball in the second half and It's fair if they go down and score touchdown there. I think it would be have been a tough situation Kentucky's offense was not moving but twice Kentucky three times actually they got in the red zone twice held the field goals third time They went for a fake field goal and it didn't work They're sort of red zone defense may have been the most important thing to get them to the fourth quarter Causing them to have to kick field goals instead of scoring touchdowns on Possessions where they drove the ball down the field pretty easily And I'll tell you it was our big guys up front chops played a great game today Humphrey grace had a good game gatson. I mean those guys those big boys up front did a great job God-free and a couple of made huge pass breakups in key situations I have to get Matt a compliment Matt and now we're sitting together before he before he left us and he actually shouted out Humphrey grace right before that big play So Matt ball-nower over here ball-nower Big-nower, I want to watch out really that was a huge you know Reath that we said it was going to be a big game for tight-in for Lou Rodriguez He had two touchdowns first time that's happened since Jacob Tammy last time. So I was watching big cynica might have been paying attention No, you know, yeah, how about we don't even talk about that. How about cynica driver being at the game when we use tight-ins to To win I will say this about the experience here It's it's very different than anywhere else in the it doesn't really feel CC and I don't say that as a negative. It just feels like a different kind of environment But the people were awesome. I mean, I will say I'm glad we won But like I thought this could be a really negative scene with all these Kentucky fans But almost every Oklahoma family's like well congratulations our team sucks Well last night a couple of people told us hey if y'all win be careful and we're like whoa I didn't feel like that no and we set together the group around us was amazing and even after we won And I'm being a not just a not just insane when we play the hard teams they were pat us on the back and saying thanks for coming I will be an Oklahoma fan from this day forward. They were great. Now we can't look past Vanderbilt But they did lose today. They have not won a game The the excitement that's going to be around this program for these next couple weeks. I mean really I'm not looking past Vanderbilt Vanderbilt could beat us But November 7th Which is the next one is in Knoxville. Do you think this will be the most Kentucky fans to ever go to a game in Knoxville? Yes, I think it's probably closed There's no doubt from for years and years and years We were we were afraid to go down there because we never could win down there It was a nacity rickety old stadium. It was it's nacity. I want to smoke Bring them but you know to mention this week every Bracketology for the playoffs Kentucky's going to be in every one of them five of listen five of the top eight teams in the country lost today That's the first time that's ever happened in the history of college football. That's never happened in the history of college football And it happened today Notre Dame lost to be why you your Texas lose in the SEC just think about it Texas lost Alabama lost Georgia lost like all the best teams lost today and yet we weren't And there was it was a crazy day in the SEC and they kept showing the graphics about This hadn't happened such and such time and there's little oak and turkey playing in the last game For first place for first place with Georgia at four one. We laughed about this on the pregame show before those results What if any final SEC chips? We make the final one. It's the last chance We've never been there before and they like cancel it because Kentucky made it. Yeah, seriously like they're like You know what Kentucky made the SEC championship? We're in the whole thing. We're just going to we're going to shut it down eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. I we're going to take your calls. Uh, who's up who's up first Justin Justin go ahead Justin Hey fellas thanks for taking my call two quick points I wanted to say that when we didn't go for the field goal in the fourth quarter I was I was super worried that they were just going to come down and just run the clock out and kick a field goal and to win it So that's an old way of Kentucky football thinking. It's the new way now. I don't need to be thinking like that. What am I doing That can point shout out to Tammy see shout out to Tammy Sanders. She's my mom. She's been to college station this year Columbia and she's enormous. She's probably in the crowd Way to get the road win mom great job. She was at Ole Miss a couple of years ago and she was there when Florida when when we Into the street with Ted Daniel great job mom. Just way to get the way to get the job done. Go Ted treat by ninety three eight Freaking goal Your mom is like hubby hubby in his entire life is only this guy right here's been the three road games at Ole Miss Two years ago at Texas A&M and now this one. I mean those he is three and oh it could talk you football Rose Bob roommate in his lifetime. That's an unbelievable record. We got to get Justin's mom and hubby to more games There's no doubt about it. Yes, I mean I will just go ahead and tell you if we win two of the three Of Vandy Tennessee and Florida two of those three We're doing this again and we're going to Missouri just for the record. We're doing this and we're going to Columbia Can I just tell you all there's a complex that can touch you back just a little bit. There you okay So like we win A&M or like well, maybe we're good then we went other we're like well, maybe we're good No, maybe we're good. No, we are good at football and we're dominating. Let's just accept it. This is happening We are kicking ass in the SEC right now. We keep making excuses. A&M is not that good. LSU's down. Oh always nothing good No, we are a good football team and I will see you on Atlanta prime this version of Drew You and I see in life. God. I don't know that this version of Drew has been on the radio. Oh, why doesn't know But we love this version of true Speaking the voice of every fan. It was watching this version of Drew. I haven't seen since our like 2014. I tried to film the field I was singing all your and I wanted to go. No, I could tell. All right. Who's up next? Carl Carl go Billy's laughing too. I can hear it. Carl go ahead. This is Billy. Hey, man, let's go man We was on the field last weekend when we did that beat LSU But looking at 2018 6 and 1 2021 we were fixing out going against Georgia loss. It's a new time here in Kentucky, man and before I get off real quick, I'm gonna do something real quick for Mario. Lord help our seed baby. Got her blue jeans on. (laughing) - Yeah. Go back. - He can't hear you right now. You said to have to listen to a lot of that stuff. You know, in this game, I welcome back to first car, talk about the old mentality. It is the case that like when we, when we didn't get to field goal and we didn't get it, my view was, all right, they're just gonna run the clock out, he's gonna kick a 50-yarder as time expires and we're gonna lose. I guess we do need to just stop. I mean, to tell myself to stop thinking that way. I can disagree with the call, but in their mind, even if it doesn't work, they go in that next play and say we're gonna win. I mean, they do not stop believing they're gonna win and I as a fan, Ryan, I need to probably change mine too. - Well, it's slow process, but they do have a new personality. There's a new way of thinking when it comes to Kentucky football, and that's just how Will Stein's gonna coach. She's gonna be aggressive every time he takes the field. - Yep, who's up next? - Travis. - Travis, go ahead, Travis. I love the hat, sir. - Hey, I love that it's lit up and you're just standing there with it on, I like it. Go ahead. - I'm excited for the win. Me and my wife watched this game as we were waiting on the arrival of a baby cat fan. I hope we're in the next couple hours. I'm just excited for the season and can't believe how clean this team plays every single week. - Wait a minute, I got a second. - This is just registering, this just registries me. You're about to have a baby in the next couple of hours? - Yeah, that's what we're hoping for. We've been in the hospital. - We've watched the game in the hospital right now. - So you are literally at the hospital right now. - Yep, right now sitting here. - I'm waiting on the baby. - That is unbelievable. You are waiting on your wife to have a baby at the hospital. You watch the game and call the post game show. Sir, you are the KSR fan of the week without question. That is unbelievable. Well, congratulations in advance. I'll be praying for you and your wife. Thank you very much for calling. - Thanks guys, go cat. - That's absolutely wild. - There it is, shout out to his wife too. I guess like what else is he gonna do? He just has to sit there in mind as we'll call the show, right? - I mean he's not the one having the baby. - Those cows are very uncarkable. - I'll get up and down the hallway. - But she apparently watched the game too. - She must be Kat's fan as well. - I love it. - Yeah, that's great. The UK section was as far away from Drew and I as it could be like you are in the complete other corner. But I just like to keep bringing it up man. It was so loud with the people that were there. And the Oklahoma fans were so depressed. I think we're so depressed. I wanna give the Oklahoma fan the one shout out. The guy sitting behind us. - My God. - He had. - prosthetic leg. - I messed up here by the way. - What? - Well go ahead, but. - Well I don't wanna tell it wrong. - No, go on. - But I joined in not knowing he had a fake leg. He'd tell the story. - He had a prosthetic leg and he talked the whole game. Like he didn't, he literally acted like he was calling play by play of the game. So it was a little bit annoying. But I will say they do this thing with like in the fourth quarter where they play the Toby Keyes and Oklahoma game. They play the, they put a boot in the ass. - They shot fireworks. - And they shoot fireworks. - When he got to the, they put a boot in the ass. He took off his prosthetic leg and held it up in the air. And I do have to say, I kinda thought that was awesome. I was like, I dude, here you go. - So I thought he took his boot off and I took my air max off and I held it up and then I realized he had like a calf and a knee on it and I was like, oh there's a- - Oh wait, you took my shoe off and held it with her. (laughing) - And then I realized he had a lot more to his shoe. - And he thought it was just the shoe. - We tapped shoes and then I saw he had like a knee on his. - I didn't know that. - So I apologize 'cause he had done a lot more service to me. But it was a moment, the Toby Keyes game was pretty cool. - The Toby Keyes thing is cool. - And you've said this, but they'll call them a fans for great and they tolerated me. - I'm telling you, I'm on the other max. - Nicest opposing fans I've ever been associated with. - I agree with you. - Ever. - Even after the win and when we were, we got a little arrogant, we were doing all the things. They were still patting ourselves on the back, saying, have your fun tonight. - By the way, our friend CJ says he's on the road with Tyler Childers. They are listening from Australia, right? - Wow. - So how about that? (laughing) - At least try. - Drew is down at the throw, who's next. (cheering) - Badger. Badger, go ahead, badger. - It's awesome. - Hey boy. - You can't have 40 drinks if you got a 35. - I don't know what that means. - I don't either, go ahead, badger. - Hey boys, can you hear me? - Let's go. - What a fantastic night, man. That's a defensive game. How many times do we say that in our whole lives? 40, 30 years, whatever it is that we played a defensive game. And we snuck one out, we tucked it out. And we made them plays that had to be made. Go cats, cats by 90. I love you guys all hanging up in the list. Appreciate to call, Ryan, we outplayed them in the first quarter. Severely outplayed them in the fourth quarter. We're out, we were outplayed in the second and third quarter I think of the game. But I'd never at one point during the game did I think they were better than us. - No. - Okay, I mean that's another, even though I was like thinking when it was 13-7 and I walked out before Todd Bryant's thing, I was thinking we're gonna lose this game and I think we're better than them and that's gonna stink. And then in the fourth quarter, as often happens, the better team wins in the fourth quarter and I actually think that's what happened here. - That's such a great point because we are the better football team. It's tough for us to sneak in. - I genuinely think that, I don't think this was a fluke. I think had they won, it wouldn't have been a fluke, but we were better. We just couldn't get it going and then in the fourth quarter, obviously. - I felt the same way after the A&M game, Texas A&M, they're supposed to be a playoff team and highly ranked, top 10 ranked. We were a better football team than them. We were the best team to die on the football field. - That's what I was saying earlier, but I'm not saying things that well tonight, but like-- - You're doing your safe. - I don't drew it. - But my point is, we kept making excuses for wins, like what we got lucky here. We just need to accept. We are a good football team. - We are good, I agree. - If Vegas wants to keep Vegas as a touchdown underdog, we'll ride that, but I don't think that's that. - I would like to know how many times in the history of college football has a team won four straight conference games where they are a touchdown underdog or more. - I mean, I can't have happened very much. - No. - 'Cause usually if you won, at some point, they would have then not made you a touchdown underdog again. - Exactly. - And they keep doing it, we won't be a favor against Vandy, so that will kind of break that streak. But I do wonder if someone could look up how many times in a row that has had, he can't have happened very often if ever. - Well, well, even on Tuesday in his press conference, kind of joke, he's like, it's funny every time we beat a team, the conversation is how bad they are. He even leaned in that a little bit, like Kentucky is still getting disrespected, even though this resume is about as good as you can have. - Well, he, I didn't see the exact quote, but he made some sort of comment about that in the post game press conference too, said something like, well, I guess we were 15th, maybe next week they'll drop us or we'll write it, and we'll say, I mean, I, listen, it doesn't really matter because the ranking that's gonna matter is the playoff ranking. And I believe the first one comes out after the Vandy game. So if you win that, I think you're gonna be on that seed projection when it comes. Who's next? - Mickey. - Mickey, go ahead, Mickey. - I can't hear you, Mickey, go ahead. - Okay, no Mickey. - All right. - No, go ahead. - Mickey, Mickey, go ahead, Nick. Nick, go ahead, Nick. - Hey, what's up, man? How's it going? - I call-- - For the first time in a long time, the most normal person besides me on the show is Ryan, and I'm gonna give you a lot of thanks, sir. All right, go ahead, Nick. - I've got some right here. (laughing) - You're right there. - Yeah. - First point, my draft Kings is doing well again. And can you hear me? - Yes. - All right, and road trips. You gotta keep it up, man. It's the fan base and behind you. It's so interesting on social media. - I appreciate the call. We, again, chat GBT, which is better than nothing, says they cannot find a time that a team has won four straight games as a seven point underdog or more. Okay, can't fight. Now that doesn't mean it. They said they can't say it doesn't. I act like I'm talking about a machine, like a person, but I bet it's not happened. Well, the crazy thing is, three of those games are on the road, that, you know what I'm saying? - That's another thing is we've played five conference games, three of 'em are on the road. I mean. - You do wonder, man. What a tough first year to have to fight. - After this. - I'll see y'all later. 8-5-9-2-8-0-2287. We will take a break. Still got two more segments. We're out here in Norman, Oklahoma, where there are still Kentucky fans everywhere. This is the local 20 dealers. KSR post game show. Welcome back. It is the local 20 dealers, KSR post game show. Big shout out to people on the techs machine. You're making me laugh. Some of these things I can't read on the air, but 772, 7745254. This is my tweet tonight. - All right. - One person said, Matt, when you started that story about the prosthetic leg, I thought it was gonna end up that it was on its way to Bullock County. >> That's a really good line. I appreciate that. >> You don't have to eat it. >> What first of rights? I love seeing real Drew come through that he is his excitement is the same as mine. >> I wish we could do this more often. I've been told you before this game. >> I wish we could do more road trips. >> We don't do many football once. >> We need to do it. >> This is fun. >> I'm the best version of me here. Or maybe the worst. I don't know what people think of this. >> I'm having a good time. >> Objectively, this has been Ryan a great few days. I mean, our decision to go, which didn't even get confirmed until Sunday. We get in the car, we drive, we have all these random things happen, including, we really haven't even talked about getting kicked out of Bowling alley yet. >> Yes. >> Which we'll talk about on Monday. Get kicked out of Bowling alley. Have huge crowds. Huge crowd in Tulsa Oklahoma. >> Yes. >> Like a massive crowd. Big crowd in Springfield, Missouri and in Evansville. Then you come here, well first I'll Drew surprises by flying in. Later on in the night, we go the volleyball game. I'll be surprises by flying in. And then just been an awesome. This has been one of my favorite trips we've done in a long time. >> This trip kind of built momentum. As each day went on. You know, everything got like the crowd in Evansville. It got bigger in Springfield. Then it got bigger in Tulsa. And then Drew shall they just kind of just kept building. >> And the volleyball game was awesome. >> The volleyball game they went. >> The volleyball game was great with all the Kentucky fans there. >> And then we'd culminate with this huge win tonight. >> I just got a little scoop over here. That makes me happy. This might not matter to a lot of people. But there's a song by Meet Meal called Dreams and Nightmares. I love it. I think it should be our national anthem. >> Okay. >> Apparently our football team at the start of the fourth quarter was down a little bit. We were wounded. We were wounded dogs, as Ryan says. >> Yeah. >> And it's told to me by someone who knows very well. I'm not going to point at anybody. Might be to my left. Said when they played Dreams and Nightmares in the stadium. Our team lifted their chins. It gave a adverse effect of what they thought of. >> But what you're saying, they paid us to. >> And it happens to be my song. So I love it as well. Shout out Meet Meal. >> I don't think I know it. >> Hold up, wait a minute. Y'all thought I was finished? I can't say the rest on the radio. We might be canceled. But they played it. >> You were out of control. >> I'm not out of control. >> You can do the rest. >> I love you. This is the song. >> When I got there. >> I can't say the rest on the radio. But they played it. I love you. This is the song. >> When I got that acid Martin. Y'all thought it was ready. I mean, I'll do it all night if you want. But they played a song that sparked our team. We need to be adopted. >> We need to be adopted. >> I think serious right now. This is serious now. >> This is true Franklin when I met him at Tony Robins. >> They played dreams and nightmares. And we took the energy. They played it for their team. And we embraced it. >> We took it. >> Our chins lifted. And then we won the game. Shout out Big Mill. >> Look at Mario meeting Adam Cooling back over there. There's a generational change. If I've ever seen it. >> I know the exact moment you're talking about though. Because Mario. >> Yes. >> Because it's a classic. And they played it. It was supposed to help them. And they were wounded. And it helped us. And that's why we won the game. >> Who's up next, Mill? >> Heather. >> I'm sorry. >> You're on. >> I'll do the whole thing. >> I thought this is true Franklin. >> This might be my last radio show. If y'all want this. >> This is true Franklin. >> I'm going to go to 26. >> 10 on one. >> I love it. >> I love it. >> The camera. >> Is the bass video of Averstein. >> I don't think we're ever losing again. I really needed these swans tonight. In the worst week of my life. I had surgery yesterday. >> I'm sorry about that. >> Yes. >> And I want to give a shout out. My son Chase. And all the crew at the Georgetown Country Boy. He sends me snaps of all the fans doing the catch chance at all these games. And I called the first intersection in the fourth quarter with the two minutes and then we had three. And it's just been the greatest night. So go catch. >> I appreciate it. Why is Oklahoma Santa Claus here trying to intimidate us? >> I don't know what he's doing. >> What's he doing? >> Look at he's sticking to the backs of the LAX. >> What do you think? >> Everything. >> Oh. So there's a man who has pulled up in an Oklahoma shirt. >> Yeah, what's he doing? >> Are we in trouble? >> Oh, my God. >> Hey, hang on. Just let me -- let me -- there's a man in a big truck in an Oklahoma shirt. He looks like Santa Claus. We pulled up and he stopped in front of our show. And on the back of it says, everything I know I learned in prison. >> I'm going to stand behind you all the time. >> I'm going to be honest. >> What is he doing? >> And he's not -- >> Oh, he's doing lift. Okay, good. I was a little bit concerned. >> I like to go pop off. >> He's doing lift. I never mind. >> He's just picking people up. >> That's good. >> I got an interesting stat for you. >> Okay. >> The guy over here just told me. What's our record in the SEC? >> Four and one. >> Five. >> And those five games, though, were outscored still by eight points. >> No matter what, that's right. >> Well, you know what? Listen. You've won three games in a row. Where you easily could have lost. >> Yes. >> And you win. I mean, that's -- I don't mean to say the old Kentucky -- but that is new Kentucky football. You win. You go to these fourth quarter games and think in the clutch moment, we're going to win. Right. We're not going to find a way to lose. We are going to win. And that's what we see. Who's next? >> Wendell. >> Wendell. Go ahead, Wendell. >> Greetings, folks. I just want to get on here and say go cats. Shout out to Tyler Childers and his band down on the White House Road in Sydney, Australia. Looked online and Britain Vineables is currently 35 and 24 in five years at Oklahoma. It's currently 34 and it's by out of $56 million. It's a serious issue in Oklahoma where we're looking at recruiting. And players staying there, staying on their recruiting radar. That's a pretty big deal. The other thing is you're talking about the field goal that we didn't go for at the end of the third quarter. We had them down there. We go for it. If we don't get it, we've got them pinned down inside of us. They struggled to do anything. If we get the field goal there, we're giving plenty of space. They can go to their offense and we weren't stopping them before that. I think going for it's probably the best option. >> That's not a bad point. I think they're offense I do think had bogged down before that. But it's not a bad point. The problem was we didn't have them pinned but then they immediately got it first down. They got out of that in zone area. But you know what, look, it worked. There's no second guess and something if it works. I think he believed in his defense a lot too. They were going to stop Oklahoma from going the link to the field. So he might try to go for it. >> If this guy's a lift driver, I do have a question for you. If you're about to get in your lift. >> I would not get in there. >> If you're getting in your lift and the thing on the back is driving out. >> Everything I know I learned in prison. Is that a lift you want to get in? >> Yeah, I don't get in that car. >> It's also tinted windows. I think I'm getting in that car either. His neck. >> Johnny Versace. >> Johnny Versace. How are you? >> Great Matt, you know, two things. A great coach and a great team. Winds on the road. They win 35-34 and overtime or in a 21-13 rock fight. >> Yep. >> And they force a team that just beat number one to go for a fake field goal. Jump pass. >> Yeah, why do you think they did that, Johnny? >> That fake field goal was so bizarre to me. The decision to do it was bizarre. Also running your kicker out wide. I didn't really understand that. And then poor guy with the jump pass. I mean, he had it. The dude was open. I mean, he just overthrew him. So it's just a really, really weird thing to do. I agree. >> Yeah, that's perfect. >> Push your home. You just beat number one, Texas. And you're doing jump pass, fake field goals at home. I mean, that's fine and scared. And hey, Jeff Bromberg, Holla. >> I appreciate the call. I was really surprised at that. There weren't you? >> Especially at that moment. They seemed to be moving a ball. >> Because they were kind of, they felt like they had momentum on it. >> I agree. >> If they kicked it, it's 7-6. I was really surprised. I was glad they did it. >> I didn't do it. >> But I was really surprised. Again, three times they get inside the 20. Two-in-and-field goals, one-in-and-a-miss fake field goal. I mean, they could have had 21 points. >> Six. >> This goes back to what we're saying. Kentucky's the better football. You have to do that stuff when you're not the better football team. That's the stuff we used to have to do. We're on their field. This is Oklahoma. We won't buy statues. They have seven national champ. Why are you laughing at me? >> Because you're moving your arms like you're me. >> Like your arms are flaking around like you're me. >> Double M, I'm the captain. I will continue to do dreams of nightmares if you want to. But if I can do some real football analysis, like we went into a place with tradition. The people around us, if they told me about their seven national championship, oh my goodness, that's all they talked about. They're statues of Baker Mayfield, Calamari. Like they're proud of football. But we went into that stadium and they were scared. And we were Kentucky. We've never been that way before. Before the game, you could just tell. We were the better team. We walked in with our chest out. It was on their turf. And we're the one celebrating right now at the corner of Boyd and Belt to Aspray now. While Santa Claus over here is trying to take us home. >> He even hit me in the chest like I do you. >> I saw that. >> He didn't hit one of them. >> I'll be honest, this is my city right now. I'm going to Cowboys run the boy after this. >> Stop it. >> I'll see you on Cowboys. Who's next? >> Reese is next. >> Reese, go ahead, Reese. >> Hey, what's up guys? I have been, I can touch and span my entire life. And I have to say, this is the most excited I've ever been to see. I can touch the football team play. I mean, my dad grew up in Nice and Tid. I've been around Kentucky. my entire life. This is the most exciting Kentucky football career. I actually, I agree with you. I mean, it's not just, I mean, we, we've been six and one, although I think it felt different than this time, Ryan. But I also agree with you on the excitement. I mean, this wasn't the most exciting game in the world, but still this team is just fun. I mean, it's just fun with the coaching staff is fun. The players are fun. I went from knowing three guys on the team before the season to where I'm sitting there going, all right, are they going to move this guy in or do that? You know, like Ferguson. I mean, it's unbelievable how much I've fallen for this group. Well, you're right. It's not just as they're winning. It's the way they're winning, man. You know, winning in overtime, going for two twice, winning at Oklahoma, well, you know, winning at A&M. It's just been a fun way to celebrate this whole season. They're showing the highlights. They just show though the part, the, the Willie touchdown that put us up 14, 13. That was the heck of a throw by Kenny mentioned. He threw Willie was basically had four defenders around him. There's the catch by Nick Anderson, where the bottom pops up in the air. Yeah. And he got hurt on that play and still made the catch. And that was a third down. That was a big. That was a monster cat. That's a monster play right there by Ferguson. But he's passed to Willie the first one. Then he gets sacked here. But he's passed to Willie Rodriguez. That first pass, he threw it through four defenders. Mint, she put it right on the money. Mint, she doesn't have these crazy numbers. But he gets the job done, man. He does what he's got to do to win the game. Did you want him to fall on this pick six? Did you want him to fall right here? I mean, nobody's going to do it. But probably the smart play would have been to fall. But he was going in the end zone and I understand. If you fall, that's your, your count of being casual. I go by the cutter left, which grab them by the neck and drag them into the deep end. Yes. That's what I go by. That's what you go by. Everyone that watch on cut, we're a violent football team. And we grab them by the neck and pull them into the deep end of the fourth quarter, watch them drown. Second time in last 45 days. I will host your last second. No, no, yeah, I mean, listen, I will get the people basically hosted now. I could talk and tell us to one more and we'll take a break. I love it. Travis Travis, go ahead, Travis. Joe's right. No. What's going on? Shout out Will Stein. Shout out my fellow Travis that had to bait me tonight. Shout out Jay Bateman. Shout out Joe Swoon. Shout out my boy that had his 30th birthday tonight. We back here. Bernie County's in third ring back. No, Bernie catches him. Appreciate the call. Can I give a shout out? Sure. Right. Right before I walked to the stadium, Abby FaceTime me. She did. Baby Avery ate solid foods for the first time. She was eating. I'm hoping, congratulations. Big two in the Franklin House. Big day. We got the win and we had solid foods at home. I missed it. Dad moment there. Got me a little bit. Might have crowd walking in, but we had a banana at home. So Avery was locked in for the game. The post game show that there was a call from the delivery bed and true it on one. That'd be all I remember this one. This is Kentucky's fourth radio. Welcome back. It is the local Toyota Nailers' KSR post game show. They kicked everybody out of the street. So a lot of people had to go home. There's all the words. One person writes, you can tell Drew has that new day. First time out dad energy. That is probably what it is. First time out after he's like it, he does have a little bit of that energy. I'll see all the casino here in a little bit. So you're you're you're flying. We're driving back. So we will be doing Monday show somewhere from Tennessee, but you're flying back Drew with hubby and you two are not going to bed. Right? You're just going straight to the air. I'm going to walk in this bar. I'm going to drink everything I have when they tell me it's over. I'm going to see no and I'm going to go to the airport and I will be on the couch for the Titans at one o'clock because we're going to get our three points against the Colts and that's how that's life. So you it so you're up lights at 6 a.m. I need you to I need you all to just let me through TSA. I'm just going to be feeling good for those of you that are at the Oklahoma City Airport. Please I'll be there. Please take care of Drew and hubby. If you see him make sure you get him on the flight. May their wives are waiting. Just make sure you get Drew. I am the flight. Have we lost hubby? I don't know where hubby is. I think we've lost hubby. No, there he is. Oh well, say how's he talking to his wife? Haven't talked to his wife. Haven't a dead phone. All right, here's up next. Cody. Abby, Abby, Drew's fine. Hey, don't worry. Go ahead. Cody. Cody, go ahead, Cody. Matt, what a great night to be a Kentucky Wildcat. Am I right? Yes, it's been great. You know what Jacob Tamey and I have in common, Matt? What's that? We're from Denver, Kentucky, graduated from Boyle County, graduated from UK, and we want Seneca drivers to slip. And after tonight, he's going to. You know, it'd be a, Ryan, I appreciate the call. It'd be a perfect setup for Seneca driver to flip. I mean. Hey, driver. I hope he's not good. Call of Seneca driver over in Oklahoma locker room tonight. He should. That was one of Vince Marrow's best moves. It would be great if Pete repeated it. Call it from the locker room and say, don't you wish you were on this side. I mean, that would be a, he, that was one of Vince's best plays. That would be good to do right there on a visit on the Oklahoma sideline. He's watching. He's true team across the field. Kick their butt. Come on, man. Come on home. Six more. Who's next, Billy? Bobby. Bobby. A five nine two eight. Oh, twenty two eighty seven. Bobby, go ahead. Yes, sir. This is the best version of Drew that I can remember in a long time. Bobby, this is the best version of you, big guy. And then we are going to my guy. Go anyway. Sorry. The, uh, this, this, this team is so much fun to watch. I'm super excited about it. I've, uh, just recently put in my deposit for the season. Take this next year. But I was sworn by them, by the way. I appreciate the call. That was really smart, Ryan. They were. They released last week. You could make deposits for season tickets next year. What a perfect time to do that. I bet they sold quite a few of them actually. And I bet there might be another email blast on Monday morning. Yeah. We're gonna season tickets now on sale for next year. Bye. Oh, no. That's exactly what do you think? Jaybat thinks about this. He just got here. Unbelievable. He, because he doesn't really know our, our history of, it's not been great. He's got to think I have walked into just a cannon ready to blow here. Yeah, if you're Jaybat, you got to be pretty happy. I mean, another person should be having some more Pope like, we had an exhibition basketball game. I still haven't seen it yet. I heard it didn't go great, but I don't know. I haven't even watched it yet. So it's like, you know, everybody's minds on something else. And that's exciting and fun and probably good for him in terms of taking pressure off. Very good for him. He probably needs to send a thank you card to Will Stein because that takes all the attention off of basketball on football. Five more who's next? Josh. Josh, go ahead, Josh. Hold up. Wait a minute. Y'all thought that was finished. When I found out that tomorrow, and Y'all thought it was ready. It was right. The naughty shoes on my cup. I on the finish. All right. Now I do have a few. Double them. I got to go for it. Wait, wait, wait. No, two real quick back in 2021. 10 win Kentucky football season. You were up in 103 sections. Shout out. I was with my dad. We, I had a Breacher UK hat. We were wrapping this song. I just wanted to shout that out because you're on one tonight and I'm on one tonight and Kentucky is back, baby. Real quick though. Old Kentucky football died last week. I tried to call in last week. Couldn't get in, but I sat there in the stand. season figure holder with LSU. We missed the second field ball. I said to my brother, I said, we are going to win this game despite that because all Kentucky football is dead. New Kentucky football is here. I got out to Wilfstein. We have a new air. Let's put it in a shot. That's going to be more excited. Appreciate the call for more. One point in all that. I do think the mentality that we've seen not just with the team, but our fans. Like it really, it is fascinating to watch. This was the most doom clue in football fan base. Brian, myself included in terms of like in the his, we have watched it change in seven games. And my age, my era, those people, they've been hard to doom and gloom in your air. Absolutely. That's why it's taken Wilfstein to come in and kind of turn us around. At least younger people saw some success with. You know, a lot of people older than that haven't seen success. You have to be in your like late 60s and early 70s to remember success. Well, I mean, who's more validated than Larry Vaughn? Who saw who had the vision? Had the vision. Three decades ago to see that three decades ago. Well, four more who's next, Billy? Elizabeth is next. Oh, Elizabeth, Billy's laughing too. Even in Lexington. Elizabeth, go ahead. Hey, y'all go cat. Go cat. Definitely. Yeah, I lost my voice of the game last weekend. Definitely got it back yesterday for a perfect game tonight. So glad I cleaned my house for a family watch party. Shout out to my parents. They're in Norman right now. They were at the show. They had to go. It's my dad's birthday yesterday. So best birthday present to them. already looking for tickets to Atlanta and they're not on the banding me this time, how's that went? - Hey, y'all like it, Liz, with-- - He just says. - Appreciate it, your parents were part of the people that kicked out of the street, I think, over here just a few minutes ago. Three more, who's next? - Rob. - Rob, go ahead, Rob. - Matt, after listening to you so long, I guess I've kinda taken after you because every game except the Alabama game, I've had to go set on my porch on the fourth floor. - You understand, Mr. Tom Leach. And every game I've done that we've won, so I guess I've got a new ritual now to end the Kentucky football games, but as an avid basketball fan, I haven't even thought about basketball, man. Will Starns brought Kentucky football back, and I've watched a lot of bad football. This is great, man. I love Will Starns. I love this show, man, and I'm pretty-- - Appreciate it. - Thank you very much. - Yeah, I'm gonna take some credit here, Ryan, because we turn the game around, the moment I stepped outside of the stadium. Literally, I almost tried to turn back around, it's in no reentry. And I was like, well, I guess I'm out, and thank goodness. - You did it at the right time. - That's a big moment. - The whole game turned around when Ty Bryant picked off that pad. - Literally, it just stepped outside the stadium. - Okay, we now know the secret. - Yeah, I gotta stop. I have to go in, just make it a pain leak. And then come back out. - 'Cause that's what I did in LSU, too, through. - And I need to have 30 drinks. - Put me on on cut, UK. Put me on on cut. I brought the smoke. - You should definitely be on cut. They should lively use the video of when this post game show started. - Two more, who's next? - It's horrible. - Logan. - I'm gonna go for it. - Hey, go ahead. - I'm just gonna go for it. - Hey guys, so me and Drew were on our dad age, so I just waited 'til the game was over and put my kid to bed. So you got to have a little bit of a late night and then I put her to bed. So then I called in the post game show. Three of my best friends live in Norman, Oklahoma and our Oklahoma fans. So it was a stressful night in the group chat. Some things with the police. Couldn't have been said. But we went back and forth all night. And so I'm just overall hyped. I think that's the same time I sat here and I thought how are we gonna lose this game? How are we gonna lose this hype? And I sat there and I got stressed about it. But overall, I'm very happy. And lastly, Josh that called in a couple weeks ago from the six of A&M's post game show and that he, you know, he's getting married. He was getting married to my cousin. I was a groom's man as wedded. And his BAC was probably ever been a point three that night. And I just wanna say, it was a fun night. But, you know, he was very, he was very, he was watching. I think he's trying to play the vows. And I appreciate the call. And we are, we were getting here very, very light, right? And are you cold? The temperature's dropping a little bit. Pushing, pushing, probably 49 degrees. And a whole man, like, huddling yourself warm. I noticed a lot of more Oklahoma cohorts starting to walk around, kind of hover around. Yeah, they're about to, I'm just hoping we can get through here with no one getting into the fight. Not us, but the last, cause they're really starting to jaw just a little bit. One more and who's next? Jack. Jack, go ahead, Jack. Hey, man, how you doing? It sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun tonight. We have. Yeah, definitely having fun. I wonder if you've seen the interview after the game with Will and the young lady on the side. I heard she accidentally said, what's it like to beat a ranked team? Is that what happened? Yeah, I thought it was funny just taking everybody by surprise, so it's just a lot of fun. I'm 66 and I'm seeing a lot of, a lot of Kentucky football and it's fun to watch. He really is. And thank you very much. I'll tell you what, before we go, I'll finish the show, but Ryan, I'll let you give your goodbye. Parting, what do you think of the night? I think, like I said, this has probably been the best crowd we've ever been around our pre-game show, this post game show, the crowd at the stadium. This is probably the best crowd we've been a part of. And it's been special, the fact that we're out here to be a part of it. Because man, the whole football landscape has changed just a matter of a couple of weeks and I love it. Yeah, actually, you know what, I'm going to, because he's been such a good, and such a good mood. I'm going to let you finish the show. So let me do mine, and I'm going to let you send it to, I'm going to let you send it home. I want to thank everybody who came out throughout this trip, literally, going back to Springfield, Missouri, to Tell Circle Home at Evansville, Indiana, to here in Norman. This has been an absolutely awesome trip and also just has been great to see a fan base as thrilled as this group has. And for the people here in Norman this game today, this was Big Blue Nation at its best. Happy, excited, going to a new place, taking over the place, storm in Norman, and getting the victory. And for all the Kentucky fans, look, I've been doing this post game show for football now, I guess, 16 years. And that's through a lot of really bad losses, a lot of conversations where people have been down, where they've been sad. This run is for all of those people, and people who've been going way back before that. Everybody has wanted to have this moment for Kentucky football. Everybody's wanted to have this excitement. This base deserves it. Enjoy it. Enjoy this week leading to Vanderbilt. Enjoy the by-week. We have-- assuming we do fine next week, we've got to November 7th to bask in the glory of what might be. And I hope fans take the chance to love it as much as they should. Now with all that said, thank you very much. I'm going to let you through. I'm going to let you send it and you can send it home. I'm going to be serious. I've been goofing off. I've been having fun. Had a couple cocktails. But in all seriousness, Kentucky football fans are a special breed. I remember my grandfather, T.C. Stone, got a shout-out on the radio. I bought him at Santa's Workshop at West Broadway Elementary School. I bought him a power K hat with like $3. He took me in my first UK football game. There is a UK football fans. It is a different breed. It is. And they've dreamed. They believed. And they've just gotten punched in the face every single time. We've had big wins, sure. But they were followed with losses to Mississippi State, or South Carolina on a Thursday. Every time we have a big game, it's never gone to the exact moment of the playoff or whatever. We've not gotten over that next hurdle. We right now have a real football team. I will see you all in Atlanta. We are going to the SEC Championship. I will see you all in the playoff. Everyone that sent the crowd, those stupid ear-- when you listen to the radio, like old people in the crowd, all those people-- UK football fans are different. And they have been so wounded. They've been taking grenades and finally it has paid off 30 years of it, whatever, 40 years, 50 years, finally it has come to fruition. We are going to the playoff. And it's not just a fluke. This is the beginning of something special. I just missed that high five. So bad, sir. I don't know if that was you or me. I hope you're OK. But I'm being serious. UK football is for real. This is not like a one-off season. We have a fluke player. We've had a Lindboat. We've had a couple of guys come through. This is an operation that knows what they're doing.
