Kristina Knickerbocker on Ohio’s 10th District Race as Trump Faces Polling Setbacks
18m 10s
Wise provides a transparent, cost-effective solution for global money management, offering exchange rates aligned with public benchmarks to avoid hidden fees. In Ohio, Donald Trump faces a significant political defeat, polling at -25 in a major YouGov survey, reflecting widespread public discontent. This backlash is amplified by incidents like Michaels refusing to display a Trump portrait and Neil Young’s lawsuit over the unauthorized use of his song at a rally, highlighting the erosion of political integrity. In Ohio’s 10th congressional district, nurse and veteran Christina Nicarbacher is gaining traction, defeating long-serving Republican Mike Turner, who is seen as corrupt and aligned with corporate interests. Voters, particularly in working-class and military communities, are rejecting political hypocrisy, rising costs, and offensive rhetoric, favoring candidates rooted in service and accountability. The campaign underscores a national shift toward demand for ethical leadership, transparency, and a return to values-based governance. As public trust in traditional politics declines, grassroots movements and individual advocacy—like Nicarbacher’s—emerge as key forces in reshaping political outcomes.

Donald Trump's trip to Ohio, his disastrous speeches there and his general behavior as it relates to Ohio backfiring in his face. He is crashing out there. And so are the mega Republican candidates in his orbit there. The latest poll has Donald Trump at negative 25 in Ohio. Can I repeat that? Trump is negative 25 in Ohio by the very prestigious YouGov economist poll. So as the Trump regime gets ultra-desperate in Ohio, they do this culture war stuff. They're rolling it out, folks. They're laying it on thick. Michaels is under fire. After Ohio Store refuses to frame a Trump portrait and other items, folks, the craft store Michaels is under fire for an incident that happened in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Earlier this month, and we're going to talk about it right now, what are we talking about? Because they didn't put up a Trump portrait. There were three items that the staff refused. A customer's request. A favorite image of Trump to be framed. A religious watercolor painting of a praying president spy an artist and an original moon landing newspaper, folks. So ignore the fact that gas and diesel prices have hit record highs. That Trump's tariffs against the world have crippled everybody. That the Trump regime is covering up a petal racket, a child sex trafficking. Just ignore it all. We'll deal with some culture issues. By the way, speaking of Ohio, did you hear this? Neil Young is now suing the Trump regime for about 10 million dollars over Ohio rally songs. So Neil Young just filed suit against Donald Trump's fundraising committee. After it broke its vow, what do you know? Donald Trump breaks its promise that it would never again use rocking in the free world at a campaign rally. But guess what the Trump regime did after the promise? We won't steal your music. They stole the music. And so Neil Young filed this lawsuit just now alleging that when Donald Trump arrived in Ohio and did that young's town rally or whatever the hell you want to call it, where Trump kept on talking about John Eustid's ass, then Trump went around the country to talk about John Eustid's ass that Donald Trump was using the music. The lawsuit describes the song rocking in the free world as a blistering anthem that contrasts the hollow promises of American political rhetoric with the harsh realities faced by the poor, homeless, and forgotten. The lyrics paint vivid street-level portraits, a mother discarding her baby addicts lost in despair, garbage piling in the shadows of prosperity, while the repeated chorus delivers a savage irony celebrating freedom that clearly isn't shared by all. The song Neil Young alleges is the opposite of everything that Donald Trump stands for. And he says that Trump previously promised we won't use the song. But of all places, he goes to Young's town. He goes to a working class area that he screwed over and he steals Neil Young's music. Doesn't that just encapsulate everything about this fraudulent, this deceiving, this disgusting Epstein class regime? So let's zoom in for a moment over here, though, on Ohio's tenth congressional district. Take a look right here. You have Christina Nicarbacher. She is pulling ahead of the Trump stooge, Mike Turner who's been serving in Congress since 2003. He is trailing to Christina Nicarbacher by three points right now. And it's possible Christina can pull this one off. She is an oncology nurse. She is a veteran. She has an incredible background. And I'll just show you what some Ohio voters are saying who were previous Trump, Mike Turner voters. Take a listen to what this Ohio voter heath who shared this story, this guy voted for Mike Turner all the time. And he's like, I can't vote for this guy right now. And we're hearing this story over and over again here play this clip. Hi, I'm heath. I used to vote for Mike Turner, but not anymore. Trump with the Republicans, disastrous policies in Washington mean that we're paying more for food, the gasses through the roof, and people are finally getting incredibly hard to find a decent place to live. Mike has been with Trump every step of the way. He's clearly not concerned about those who has back in the district dealing with real life. It's time for new leadership. I'm going for Christina Nicarbacher. And this one's going ultra viral right now. Take a look right here of this Christina Nicarbacher campaign TV spot that she put. This one is going mega viral. Watch for yourself. What's going on in the 10th congressional district here. Play this clip. I'm Christina Nicarbacher and I approve this message. Dog tags don't list a party. Christina Nicarbacher earned hers serving at right pad. A nurse will fight to lower the cost of health care. 30 years in politics has changed Mike Turner. Millions in corporate cash. Named one of the most corrupt members of Congress. Turner backs the war that raised gas prices. He backs the tariffs making food so expensive. Christina Nicarbacher served our country. After 30 years in politics, Mike Turner served himself. I want to bring in the interview I just did with Christina. Let me bring in that interview right now. That is interviewed Christina. Now I want to bring in Christina Nicarbacher. Christina great to see you're running for Ohio's 10th congressional district. Nobody thought it would be possible, but right now you're actually leading in the polls against somebody named Mike Turner, Maga Republican. Congress member who's been representing that district since 2003 or I should say attacking Ohio's 10th congressional district since 2003 viewed as one of the most corrupt politicians out there. This was a plus 18 district in 2024, but the polls now have you ahead heading into the midterm. Something's changing obviously across the country, but especially in the 10th. I want to talk about your background, but your US Air Force veteran, oncology nurse practitioner, and mom of two and your life's been dedicated to service. I talked to us about this congressional district, Christina. What are you seeing over here? I know you're in it to win it, but it's an incredible development in this district, people are saying. So I got into this race because I knew people were suffering on the ground, and as I got more familiar with the congressional seat, I knew it was when it bolts an R+4, and you haven't had Turner ever face a really formidable candidate in a while, and we have the political wins in our favor this year with Democrats really winning it large throughout the country. And when you have the candidate that really resonates with the community, you know, as an Air Force officer and veteran, as well as a nurse practitioner that's served in this community, people trust that, and they're willing to say, hey, you know, I think it's time for new leadership, and so as I knocked words, you know, people are really struggling, and my turner is not fixing it, he's voting to make it worse. You know, your background is not a politician, your background, though, is giving back, fighting for the country, fighting for people. What does this whole experience been like, though? I mean, you know, you know, seeing what it's like, I think you probably see the best of the country when you meet with people, but then seeing what Washington's trying to do to you, and how they try to rig the game against helping people. I mean, let's talk about that a bit. Yeah, so I think it really comes down to my background. I've always been an advocate for both my wing men, wing men in the Air Force, and also my patients. And so my allegiances are not to a political party. My allegiances are to my country, the Constitution, and the people that live and work here. And because of that, I've really been able to hold onto my values and not focus on a political party steering my talking points or really my perspectives on how Washington continues to fail the people that they are elected to represent. And more than ever, as I talk to my patients and people on the ground, they're ready for integrity. They're ready for bold leadership. They're ready for someone to stand up against the status quo, take on corruption, and make sure that we are electing someone that's going to be courageous and stand up to a party when they get it wrong. To talk to us about Ohio 10, just remind some of us who are not from Ohio 10, what's there to talk to us about the cities in Ohio 10. And as you travel to these various cities, what are you, what are you hearing over and over and over again right now? So Ohio 10 is made up of Green County Montgomery County in Middletown, which is where JD Vance grew up and the Dayton area
area is one of the bigger metro areas between Columbus and Cincinnati, it's also home to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where I served as an Air Force officer for a decade, and when I'm talking to people, they're sick of the lies from both parties, from politicians that are really just out for themselves to gain power. And, you know, my opponent, Mike Turner, he is heavily dependent on corporate PAC money, and also the corporate donors in the area, and defense contractors, pharmaceutical companies, health insurance companies, and people are realizing he's not standing up for this community like he says he is. In 2025, Doge came in and cut several, you know, hundreds of jobs, and he did nothing to protect the people that work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base or the VA, and so people are ready for someone to say, "This is wrong, we're going to stand up against it, and I'm going to focus on the people, not these corporations." And that's the difference right now, people are sick of the status quo and they want change. You know, we've seen these visits by, you know, Trump, we've seen these visits by Vance, you know, and they go and they say things are amazing, they said, "This is great." They say, "There is no inflation, that this is the golden age, and everything couldn't be better right now," and it's just a, you know, and then there's also just qualities that I'd love to pick your brain about, where they just say very mean, demeaning, degrading, odd things, you're just like odd behavior, you know, as someone like yourself, to invest in leadership positions, you know, when you're, you know, in, when you're a collegey nurse and you're there and people's lives are on the line, I mean, if you or someone else was behaving the way that, like, the Trump and the Turner's, like, conduct themselves, you know, people die, people die. So at the top level, when this behavior is so clownish, it's not like, you know, people laugh at it sometimes and go, "Oh, you know, he's going around the country talking about, you know, men's body parts and this and that and saying things," it's like, "Come on, let's be leaders." Like, what is this? Right, and I think that really talks about this administration as a whole, you know, we have so many incompetent leaders from R.R.T. Jr. to Pete Hegseth to so many Republicans that have refused to stand up to this political rhetoric that is really harmful not only to our country's reputation, but it's harmful to the people in this country. And in 2025, I was looking at a big, beautiful bill and getting really familiar with how it was going to impact my patients. And I don't have a political agenda. I'm focused on taking care of my patients that I see in the Neuroan College Department. And I warned, I called and warned, Congressman Turner. I called and warned, Senator Houston. And I said, "This is going to kill people in our community. I will tell you the details you call me. I'm an expert in both like the military sector and the civilian sector. And we must be held accountable and make sure we get this right before it is signed. And I got no response. Not an email, not a call from staff." And so on July 4th, when July 4th, 2025, when this bill was signed into law, I took it so personally. And I as an advocate for my patients, I said, "There is no way. They are going to get away with this." And yet we are seeing, unless we elect new leadership in both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, we are losing hope for people being accessed, being able to access health care, being able to access affordable groceries, being able to access affordable child care. And there are so many different things that people are struggling with right now that is such a shame that Republicans dare say, "Everything is just okay." When I'm on the ground, taking care of the patients, they can't even afford their prescriptions, and they are choosing to neglect care because they can't afford insurance. And that is what's increasing costs for all of us. Yeah. And while all of those issues are existential, like it's not hyperbolic to say, "This is life for death for people. Trump goes into your state. He goes into your cities." And his main talking point, and like, it pains me to say this. I mean, I have a daughter, I know you have two kids. You have a son and a daughter, right? And he goes, "Hey, Ohio. Have you seen Eustids?" And I want to say the word. Have you seen his backside? And then he goes around the country talking about John Euston and how he's attracted to him and how his butt. And I'm just thinking, "This is the presidency." And I think he wants the side show. He wants the clown show because he doesn't want us talking about those things. But it also raises, you know, a lot of difficult conversations that we have to have with our children sometimes about, like, "This is not good behavior. This is not acceptable." But the president, and this is not a role model for you. I mean, there was a court order the other day that said, "This is astonishing. A federal judge said, "This is the first time that the DOJ is arguing that you can't believe the words of the president of the United States when he makes social media posts." And it's like, "Why? Why? We can't accept this. This is that as well." Right, exactly. And I think that really speaks to the leadership we need right now. It's someone willing to stand up to the Constitution. And as someone that took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, my allegiances are to the Constitution, not a political party or a president. And we must stand up for that. We must stand up for high quality leadership. Not anybody can get a job because of their relationships. They need to be able to get a job because they are high quality. And when we put that into legislation, which we know we're going to have to do now, because somehow we have so many incompetent leaders in office, we have to hold our system accountable. And now that we've seen there are things that are broken. We can never elect a president like this again because it is not representative of the American people or our values in this country. And you know, we have so many nurses who watch the Midas Touch Network. And very early on, we worked with the Nurses Association, you know, I've been watching it in state and elsewhere because the Trump regimes continue to attack nurses, like they zoom in on people who are like the most helpful. And, you know, removing the degree classifications, like every day there was something else, you know, with nurses. And so I just want to give a shout out to all the Midas mighty nurses out there. And everybody's rooting for you and cheering you on. I want you to know that. So before we go, though, where could people learn more?
