The transcript blends promotional content with critical analysis of modern cultural trends. It begins with a satirical product launch from The Daily Wire, followed by a promotion of Kalshi’s live political market, where users can trade on election outcomes. It then shifts to a discussion of modafinil as a superior alternative to coffee for sustained alertness. A central theme explores the portrayal of singlehood on social media, particularly among women, where videos claim freedom and self-sufficiency but reveal underlying dependency on male attention and romantic validation. The speaker critiques the self-deception in these narratives, pointing out that behaviors like performing on camera or boasting about solitude contradict the stated ideals. Another segment challenges the spiritual claims of self-identity as God, calling it blasphemous and psychologically ungrounded. The underlying message is that true autonomy comes not from rejecting relationships or societal expectations, but from honest, shared human experiences. The content ends with a broader philosophical reflection: that meaningful life is found in community, not in solitary self-deification. The tone is skeptical, offering a caution against performative identity and promoting authentic human connection over self-constructed spiritual or romantic ideals.

Why do we not appreciate being single? It is the only time in your life where you can
genuinely be selfish. You can be as selfish as you want. It's all about you.
You don't have to text someone, hey, baby, I'm going here.
I'll be back at this time. No, bitch. I'm staying out as long as I. You can go home and watch your own show that you want. You don't have to sit there. What do you want
to watch? I don't care what you want to watch, actually. I could never
care less. I want to watch what I want to watch. If you don't like it, f*** off. Sorry.
Mental institution. This is crazy. New straight jacket.
I can do whatever I want. I can go travel and not have to worry about, oh, who's going to be there?
What are you going to do? It's just genuinely all about you. And then, okay, maybe you're happy.
Maybe you have a boyfriend. Maybe you have a husband. Then you have kids. Oh, my God.
Mommy, I need this. Mommy, I want that. Shut up. I'm trying to watch Love Island. Why do I have to
get up to provide for you? As a mom, you have the entire rest of your life to do things for other
kids. Oh, my God. You guys can't even fathom that. I can't even fathom that. For the rest of your
life, you have to clock in. F*** that. That sounds like hell. Obviously, you like the kids, but
literally being single, well, I guess you might be single with kids, but I just mean when you're
single. I appreciate it. Stop trying to find a boyfriend. I also need more single people in my
life because why does everyone have a f***ing boyfriend? You have the rest of your life to be
taken. Appreciate the time that you're single. Yeah, okay. I think this is a bit. The performance
didn't seem genuine and sincere to me, so I think she's kind of doing a character, but whatever.
Let's take the character on her own terms. She gives up the whole game there right at the end.
She goes, it's awesome being single. It's great. I could be selfish. F you. F that. I don't want
to think about kids. I don't want to think about a boyfriend. You think, oh, wow, why are you single?
I can't even imagine. But then she gives the game away at the end when she goes,
also, I need more single friends. Why does everybody have a boyfriend? She reveals that
being single doesn't work out in practice the way it seems to work in theory. You see that?
Because she says, it's great. I'm single, so I can go hang out with my friends all the time,
except I can't because all my friends have boyfriends or are married or have kids.
So wait, if everybody else in the world just did what I wanted them to do, then I would be
really happy being totally selfish. If I were not just selfish, but omnipotent,
it's not just that I cater to my own whims, but everybody else has to cater to my whims.
And if everybody were single and went out to brunch with me, then I'd be having a great time.
But because it is not true, because other people do not just worship me and other people are not
as self-interested as I am, I don't have friends to go out with. So I can't actually do the
things that I say I get to do when I'm single. It's totally self-undermining. I still think it's
a bit, but if it's not a bit and she keeps up that way, she's going to be single for a long time.
About to be 40 and I'm single. I've never married, never been engaged. I used to think
this was my worst case scenario and now it's not. I live in my beautifully decorated apartment.
I have unlimited cats. I can adopt as many cats as I want. I can get six more of these cats and
I don't have to ask anyone. I can also adopt as many chihuahuas as I would like. I have girl dinner,
almost every single night of the week, except for today. For example, my friends randomly asked,
do you want to go out to happy hour? And I said, yeah, I don't have to check with anyone. I don't
have to plan with anyone and think, gosh, can we go to happy? Can I go to happy hour? Like,
what are you going to do? Like, is that okay? Also, if a friend asked me to go on a trip,
I just go. I don't have to ask anyone. Is that okay? Do we have the budget for this?
It's my budget. It's my life. Okay. There are two parts to this video and they contradict each other. So the woman
gives up the game here in the first part of the video and then she spends the second part
of the video trying to claw back. What does she say in the first part? Look not at what she says
so much as what she is doing. She says, okay, I'm almost 40. So she's in her late thirties
and she says, I'm not married. That's true of a lot of women in their late thirties. That is true.
This is an epidemic among millennial women and it's made a lot of them very sad, understandably,
and they're trying to figure out what went wrong in our culture and in their education that this is
because it's not just an individual thing. A lot of, a lot of women out there feeling this.
So she says, I'm in my late thirties. I've never been married. I've never been single. I've never been engaged. And I'm really happy about that. So what she's saying
is one thing. What she is doing is she is advertising to men that she is available and desirable
because most men would prefer to date a woman who has never been married before. And they would even
date a woman who has never been engaged before. So what she is doing is advertising herself to an
audience, largely of men. And she's saying, Hey, I'm desirable. I have these features. I'm a good
looking woman. I'm, I'm, I'm presenting myself by, by using the number 40, but I'm qualifying it to
say, I'm not yet 40. I'm younger. I'm younger than what, and I've never been in this very serious
relationship. So I don't bring that baggage. And, but anyway, I'm really happy about being single.
I like being single. I love it. I love it. I love it. So I think her behavior is contradicting what
she says that she wants. And so I say, okay, on the one hand, it's good that she clearly wants
to get married. And it's very painful for women who struggle with that in our decadent depraved
culture where a lot of women do. The second thing I like is that she is, she's got this grateful
disposition. She doesn't seem resentful. She doesn't seem like a bra burning man, hating lesbian.
No, she certainly does not. She sounds grateful. You know what? I thought that I'd be married by now
and I'm still desirable. And I thought, but, but, you know, I have these nice things in my life. I
have my friends and I can travel and I can go get drinks. And I actually like that. That's good. You
want that rather than, you know, rather than some screechy resentful response. The only part that's
wrong is I think she might be believing her own press releases a little too much. The first two
aspects of the video are the first two aspects of the video. The first two aspects of the video are
established that she would like to be married. And you know what? It's good to be married and
it's hard to get married today. And so, yeah, that's all good stuff. But she starts to believe
her own press releases here. And she says, and it's great. I don't, I don't want to have to ask
anybody. And I want to have, I don't want to just have one cat. I want to have like 50 cats. And I
don't know. No, you don't. You obviously don't. And it's okay. I know it's, it's, it makes you
vulnerable. It makes you feel embarrassed in some ways. If you say, I want these things that I don't
yet have. That's true of anything, especially marriage, but it's true of anything. But beyond
you have to be honest. We, you would like to be married. You could be married. You seem nice.
you look good. You seem very lovely. Let's stick with that. The last part, nobody buys it. And you
shouldn't. The sad part is you might be the only one convincing yourself of that. Don't buy it.
Next one. I'm 45 years old and life doesn't look like what I thought it would. I'm single,
never married, no kids. I rent a small studio apartment. My income comes in waves through
various side hustles like content creation and pet sitting. I don't have health insurance and
sometimes I worry about my ability to afford my own existence. And a part of me is embarrassed by
that because it's hard not to measure life through a series of milestones. And on paper,
I'm missing most of them. But I'm where I'm at in life due to a series of choices.
I quit my corporate job because exchanging five days a week for a subpar salary wasn't worth it.
And I stopped chasing romance because I always seem to lose myself in unhealthy relationships.
I opted out of the systems I was told would keep me safe
because I'd rather be alone. I'd rather be alone. I'd rather be alone.
I'd rather be belly laughing with my friends than searching for a partner. And I'd rather be alone
in the mountains on a random Tuesday than stuck under fluorescent lights counting down until
Friday. The average lifespan is around 80 years, which means I am likely over halfway through mine
with no guarantee I'll even make it that far. And while sometimes I feel behind in life,
ultimately the only finish line we all cross is death. Time is the only real currency.
I may never feel accomplished in the way we're taught to measure it, but I've learned to
love the journey I'm on. So if you too feel behind or lost, maybe we're not. Maybe we just
stopped running someone else's race. Yeah, but she is running someone else's race. I mean,
she is chasing one of the most basic things that all people and especially women want,
which is social media fame. What is she doing? She is trying to make herself famous on the internet.
Just to blow up and then act like I don't know nobody.
So the content itself is trying to present her as some spiritually enlightened baba sitting on
the banks of the Ganges or something. But what she's actually doing, the thing that you don't
see in the video is the camera, you know, and she's performing for millions of strangers and
especially for men. She is trying to arouse the sexual appetites of men because the video amid
the nice shots of the trees and the granola she's eating or whatever,
is her mostly naked wearing this thong, you know, jiggling her body parts in the water and the
glistening water. And so it's sad because she is, on the one hand, seeming very self-aware.
Says, yeah, I made a lot of mistakes and I had these bad relationships and I, you know,
screwed up in some ways, but now I'm doing things differently. In some ways, she seems very
self-aware. In other ways, she seems totally oblivious to what she's doing, which is she's not
doing anything. She's just doing what she's supposed to do. And so she's doing what she's
doing. She's doing everything that she says she is doing. You know, she's not just going out into
the woods and being alone with her thoughts. She's not alone. She's in front of millions of people
because she has to film the whole thing. She hasn't stopped chasing romance. She's jiggling
half naked on camera for men. She isn't doing those things. And so, you know, with her, this
video is different from some of the other ones where they say, hey, I'm still of childbearing
years, but I'm getting toward the finish line. And, you know, I haven't been married or engaged
and hey, guys, you know, come on, hit me up. So pick me. Choose me. Love me. Here, you know,
she's 45. It's very unlikely that she's going to have kids. She could get married, but it's
unlikely that she'll have kids. And so she is grappling with that, that it's not just getting
late to do this thing that women have a drive to do, but she's past that. And maybe she could adopt
a kid. Maybe she could be involved in the lives of other kids in her family. But having her own
happen. And so she has to grapple with that. And if what's a little schizo about the video,
the whole video is schizo. But what what is especially schizo is she, on the one hand,
seems to present herself as really totally being at peace. But on the other, she's clearly still
racked by guilt and feelings of inadequacy and regret and mistakes. And she's compounding and
reiterating those mistakes. And probably what would help her is to say, you know what?
Yeah, I've gone through this, these traumas, self-inflicted traumas, even. And so that's bad.
But you know what? I'm I'm I'm going to turn over a new leaf, not by being weirder, not by moving
even further away from the norms of flourishing life than I already have, but by moving closer
toward them rather than I'm going to go live in the woods, which she's not doing. You know,
she's not she's she's like an Instagram girl. She's a TikTok girl. But she's presenting herself
as, you know, a woman in the wilderness. Rather than doing that, she just say, you know what?
Made some mistakes. Things haven't totally worked out the way I thought they would.
But I'm going to pursue those goods, the goods that are still available to me. I'm going to
pursue them because I realize that my unhealthy relationships and behaviors in the past were
bad. And so I'm going to try to be more normal. But she's doing exactly the opposite. Next one.
I love being single. And it's because I truly have a confidence of being with
myself. Notice I didn't say by myself. I said with myself because I'm with me. I'm with my best
friends. I'm with my confidant. I'm with my therapist. I'm with my makeup artist. And it
comes from a space of understanding that no one can give me what I already have. So if I want to
feel love, I am love. I am love. I don't get it from a partner. Wow. That's sad.
The minute she said, I am with myself, it occurred to me that she was describing herself as God.
Because you can't be with yourself. You have to be by yourself because to be with implies another.
But if you are alone, you are necessarily not with something else. It sounds like she's describing
herself as God because God is three distinct persons in one divine unity. This is the central
mystery of the Christian faith. It's the Holy Trinity, something that we cannot perfectly
in our limited reason. And so one conclusion that we draw from the Trinity, which we see in
Revelation, is that God doesn't need anything from us. God is a community in himself. And this is how
God can say that God is love. And so when she said that, she said, I am love. That is a direct
claim. That is a pretty explicit claim to being God, which a lot of these new age, lefty,
woo-woo kind of people say. I am God. And it's sad because they're coping and they're trying to
make themselves feel better, but it's such a lie. And it's actually a really blasphemous kind of lie.
Are you about to engage in blasphemy? It's only going to make it worse. You're making a God of
the self and you are not sufficient to be God. You're not that guy, pal. Trust me. You're not
that guy. God will not disappoint you, but you as God will disappoint you. The Trinity
nature of God is actually the only way that we can explain that God is love. His love is willing
the good of another. So if God were merely singular, you know, if you had this kind of
Unitarian conception of God, the phrase God is love wouldn't make any sense. But the Trinitarian
understanding of God makes sense of that phrase because the son is eternally begotten of God,
the Holy Spirit is the bond of love between the father and the son. So anyway, she's not the
Trinity. She's not a Unitarian God. She's not really any serious God. And the more she tries
to turn herself into that, the more she's going to be disappointed. I'm not just talking about the
Trinity because it's an interesting theological concept. This actually really pertains to the
romantic relationships too, because we see in the family a kind of, we see the image of God. You
see the image of God in the family. And we in the family co-create with God because the love between a man and a woman is so real. It's so imminent that it actually creates another human being. And it is the way that we most directly participate in God's creative power. So the family is, there's a kind of little Trinity that we see within the family, but you can't do that alone. You can't do that by yourself. We don't, we don't, we're not mitotic.
creatures yet. You know, you don't just kind of split off into a clone.
Check this out. Cool, huh? I bet you wish you could do this.
So this woman's totally going to be disappointed. And she has a lot of new age, woo-woo, self-help,
girl power, feminist occult nonsense to blame for that. But it doesn't matter where you place the
blame. It's only going to make her sad. And when you take your ideology so far that you're claiming
to be God, you've made a wrong turn. You need to turn around. You need to turn around and
move in the other direction. Okay. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show. See you
next time.

Podcast Summary
Key Points:
The Daily Wire launches a mock action film titled "Run, Hide, Fight Infidels" as a nostalgic tribute to 80s and 90s action cinema.
Kalshi offers a live market where users can trade event contracts on political races, such as the Michigan and Texas midterm matchups, with real-time updates and a $1 payout per correct prediction.
Modafinil is presented as a scientifically backed solution for sustained focus, stimulating multiple brain receptors linked to wakefulness, unlike coffee which only temporarily blocks adenosine.
A viral TikTok trend shows women celebrating singlehood, but the content is critiqued for contradicting its own message—claiming freedom while still relying on romantic or sexual validation from men.
The video segments reveal a self-deceptive narrative where the speaker presents spiritual enlightenment and self-sufficiency, yet continues behaviors (like performing half-naked on camera) that reinforce dependency on male attention.
One speaker frames being single as a path to freedom and self-love, but the argument is challenged by the theological and psychological inaccuracy of claiming self-identity as God, which is seen as blasphemous and self-defeating.
A deeper critique is made that the pursuit of social media fame and self-actualization through spiritual or romantic ideals often masks underlying insecurity and unmet emotional needs.
The core message is that true freedom and fulfillment come not from rejecting relationships or roles, but from authentic, grounded engagement with life, community, and shared responsibility.
