Kelly Clarkson Feuds With Store Over $15K Mechanical Bird + WTF Is the Banana Bowl??
110m 44s
The podcast begins with a promotion of Bar Soul, a social deduction party game where players take on secret roles to uncover traitors through alternating day and night phases, highlighting its popularity in group settings. It then shifts to a personal update on fan demand for live events featuring Kelly Clarkson and John Mayer, with the host noting that ticket sales have surged beyond expectations. A major storyline centers on a viral incident at Brooklyn’s Art of Play store, where Kelly Clarkson reportedly faced condescending treatment when attempting to buy a $15,000 animatronic bird. The store claims the bird is not for sale and that a similar one exists from the creator, but the experience was widely criticized as rude and dismissive. Fans and listeners express outrage over perceived elitism and judgment, using phrases like “elevator eyes” to describe the condescension. The episode underscores that small businesses are not exempt from customer service standards, and poor interactions can escalate into public scandals. Ultimately, the discussion highlights how fan engagement and social media amplify even minor incidents, turning a simple customer experience into a widespread critique of both the store and the treatment of high-profile visitors.

Happy Monday. We're back in studio. Yes, we are. Noah, how are you doing? You missed our faces. I'm also here. Yeah. Yeah, you haven't seen us all week. I know. I feel like, I feel like it doesn't matter if you're like in, I just still like in my contact with you constantly, so it doesn't feel like we're everything. It doesn't feel like we're everything. You really put them on the spot there. No, I was like, you were like the way you said no, it was like, I did something. Well, we just haven't seen you in a week. Yeah, yeah. We're here. We're here, we're in studio. There's a new table. Yeah, it's gorgeous. We have a new table. The old table broke, multiple times, I guess. I don't know. The table broke. Well, it broke before Rob Lowe and we were worried you and Rob were going to sit on the floor. Yeah. Yeah. And then we had really like long, sassy debates on whether we needed an oval or a circle. The table debates went on for too long. Now it's a circle. I like it. I like it too. So Noah was correct. Before we had an oval. Now we have a circle. I think, I mean, I like it. I think like all of this space over here is like a lot, but we have more people, it will make sense. I mean, look at Red Table Talk. It's proven to work in the past. What a reference point. Yeah. I said, am I thinking of Jeta Pickett's best show? Yeah. But the thing is, it's like, I wasn't necessarily like, I don't want an oval. It's just, there's like a shortage of oval options. Yeah. Yeah. There definitely wasn't as many viable options for ovals as there was circles. Keep an eye out. We might have different mic stands this week. Yeah. Exciting things coming. Yeah. Really big, exciting things. And you think they look really ugly. You won't be the only one. Listen. I know. I'm not even going to, no, we don't need to go down. No, we'll talk about it when they come in here. How many? A lot of people want to know how many tickets you sold, Noah. Oh, yeah. So I'm in better spirits. Okay. Good. Thank God. Thank God. I have sold 12. By the way, when I say sold, I gave them for what I paid. I'm not making any money on these. I would never do that. You're just making your money back. Yeah. Although, although it isn't necessarily in that, I've sold 12 out of 15, which that's all, I mean, great. Do you feel comfortable? I don't know if I should. I don't know if I should be. There are a lot of people really wanting to know. People really want to know. Should I just say that it was in the five figure range? Low five fix. It's yeah. Yeah. The lowest you could get a five fix. Yes. Low five. Yeah. I don't even want to. Yeah. Low five fix. Yeah. Low five fix. Even saying that, I feel like. No, it's absolutely astonishing. It's astonishing. No, no, no, no. It was astonishing. It genuinely was shocking. Kind of astonishing number. It was thrown out. But look, you're, you're so pretty much back to the three and more to get left on May 8th. If you want to go, um, part of me was like, oh, I could probably because now I'm looking at because now I'm like back to kind of where I started where I'm like, wait, I want to go to these shows. Yeah. Get right. Yeah. Wait, I almost gave them all up. No, no, no. Not that I could go to these. I do need to get rid of these May 8th tickets, but being like, oh, I'll give them to people for face value. Yeah. But if not, maybe I could sell them on ticket master, make some money and that could help pay because by the way, like, he adds a whole nother week too. By the way, these tickets like I was saying because I think when before they, the general sale, it was like, these are fucking insanely expensive. I mean, I had 15 of them, so it felt worse. But now looking at the resale, like, if you go on stop hub or ticket, like, it's out of control. Yeah. Like, it is. It's, it's crazy. Like I'm going to go, I might go multiple times to be, I actually was because I didn't know that my. Because we are on a goddamn roller coaster ride. As of three days ago, he couldn't even put John Mayer on. He couldn't even. No, no. He said whenever John Mayer's songs came up on his phone, he looked next. Yeah. No. After I saw him. Now we're going back to multiple nights. No. Last night I was driving back from the cape by myself and the, it was like a hurricane. Listen to continue in front of back. I was back. I can't keep on. I can't keep on. No. I want to see this about now. They did add in it. He did add a new week. He did. Right. Well, there's 18 total shows. Yeah. I want to say that Noah is a very financially responsible man. So they're sure that he did this is really just genuinely shocking all that was so astonishing to him. But I have said in the past, like tickets are the one place that I kind of usually like, I mean, I try to be responsible. Like I'm not going to go insane like I did this time. But I will spend like to what some people might think is absurd amounts to go see one show or to be a front row because I like you value those kinds of experiences. Yeah. I keep fucking coughing. No, but like I'll talk about people because I'm a big watch guy too. We're like, I like like to look at watches and then come close, but then no, I'm like, I'm not going to actually buy that. And then when I don't buy the watches, I'm like, that's why I go to the shows because that's what I'm saying in the money. Everybody has their thing that they're passionate about and where they spend their money. But shout out to all the chicks in the office fans, by the way, because I mean, the amount of people that reached out and were very nice. I mean, I mean, also shout out to John Mayer because the demand is obviously there in the crossover between 60 office and John Mayer's way bigger than I thought it was because my God, it seems like every listener of the show wants to go. Yeah. And were there some people who when you told them what the face value price was, they were like, oh, never. Oh, there were a lot of people who were like, oh, but then there were also a lot of people who were like, I thought it would be way worse. There you go. It was funny because it's like just DMing with people like there was one that was just like, the account had like no followers and it was like a picture of a dog. And they're like, by the way, like, this is my fence to like, I'm not a dog. Like, I'll actually pay. I'm not a dog. I swear. But it's also like, why send it from your fence to that, like if you need to prove that you're a real person and you want the tickets, like, why can't you just use your real, yeah, because you will need to know their name. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's like, my husband's name is this. Oh, you gotta be able to send it. She still wanted to say an honest. Yeah. She had a Felicia because she was like, do I get a shout out on the pod? You know what? Smart, smart, smart. That's a good parlay. I'll buy the tickets. But I do want to be mentioned. No, you know what the cool thing is that I was thinking about is because I didn't, I would have like four or five in one row, but I didn't sell four or five at the same. So like, they're going to be chicks. The office fans sitting next to each other who I have never met now. Well, that's awesome. And like watching from there. Wow. That's so sweet. Wow. That's so sweet. Yeah. That's so sweet. That's so sweet. Yeah. And into this mess. Yeah. But you guys actually want to go. I would love to go. I would love to go. I would love to go. I would love to go. But I don't want to. And we have to talk about this at a different time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you said that the net zero thing. I will say the only thing is that now I'm going to make the next status of Delta medallion status because of all the money that I bought. So technically, that's a silver lining. That's it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here's the thing. I also would really want to go with Joe because he loves John Mayer as well. Not me. No, I like a group event. A big group thing. It would be fun. Yeah, that would be fun. Yeah. So speaking of, speaking of DMs, I got such a funny message from a listener who was like I listened to you and Rhea every episode and so crazy. I just found out that our dads are friends. Wow. And they were and they saw each other at the London game because my dad and JB were at this. We're in London for the Eagles game, which a lot of people were. I knew so many people that went over there for this game, which was just miserable. My fucking God. If you, if you guys could spare me two minutes, go off just to, first of all, I was hungover. I woke up in 930 to watch this game. I felt like shit. My head was pounding. I'm like, Joe, I need to bake it again. She is. You got it? Yes. And I'm watching, it's just, it's just bad football. We think maybe there's a silver, we're like, oh my God, coming out of this would be a miraculous win. And then it ends the way it does and you're like, you got to be fucking kidding me. And now it's coaching my practice from top to bottom. These coaches need to get their heads out of their asses. I'm just going to read this real quick. The second half of the last three games of losing, you, the Eagles have lost a lot.
last three games. Yes. Oh God. You're on a three game losing. Wait, can you see what happened? Yes. Yes. I'm sorry. Hard not to hard not to say. I'm caught up with yesterday's events of football. Yeah. Yeah. I have something I would like to talk about after the events. Yes. So the so the second half possessions of the last three games have been three and out, three and out, three and out, interception, turnover on downs. That's game first loss. Second, second loss, three and out, three and out turnover, turnover on downs, three and out, turnover on downs, third loss, punt, three and out, these are all puns. Turn over and downs, punt, three and out, three and out, three and out, feel gold. That was that was last game. It's been so bad. The offense can do absolutely nothing in the second half, which to me is a coaching thing because it's like, if you're playing half decent in the first half and then the team's going in half time, the other team's like, hey, here's all the things that they're doing right. We're going to we're going to stop them. And then your team comes out, no, no adjustments, no change. They can't change a single thing. What? How much do you put on jail? Not a lot. Not a lot. Because there are like, I see a selection of Eagles. No, no, there's a, you are really, well, you're either, there's been a, there's been a, there's been a schism. You're either like, you hate Seriani or you hate Hertz or you hate both of them. And you just think like they both, both are bad. I blame much less on Jalen than I do the rest. Jordan Milatt is looking at the rest of his offensive line. And he's like, who are these guys? There's no, no one's recognizable. It's an entirely new offensive line. Last week, we traded away our one, our center who he was playing terribly, unfortunately, but hey, that's just another, they were like, we're setting him off. And Lane Johnson, you know, Hall of Famer, lineman retired, just like out of the blue, not out of the blue, but out of the blue. Maybe emotional. It was very sad. And I'm very sad to see him go in that way. And but because of the timing of that, it's like, it's a 53 man roster in football. But because of him retiring when he did and salary cap implications and all these things, we now have to keep him on the active roster for the rest of the season. So it's like, we're stuck with a 52 man team despite this man being retired. So it's like, you, you can't fill that position. You can't have, you can't add somebody. Because we're our fourth string running back was playing, which is where we're at all. A lot of injuries, which is also why I don't fully look at Jalen, because it's like he's got, he's playing with not a lot of the patients have people. A lot of injuries. Yeah, right now as well, which is not, it's, it's not ideal. But Seriani, after, after watching this guy, they scored a opening kickoff return touchdown. The Jaguar stated got called back because of penalties. But like, you know that guy is good. You know that guy can do it. And then when they kick right to him to end the game. And we're, we're in the torture chamber because it's blame game now. It's like, impress afterwards. These guys are pissed. You can see that they're starting to make, you're losing, you're losing the locker room a little bit. Like, even Jay Kelly, it's like, yeah, that was the plan. Like, even talking to Jalen Hertz, it was like they were asking about his, you know, lack of running himself. And he, he basically, another one that was like, that's not my place to say. Everyone was like, no, it is your place to say. So there's now there's a lot of this is not my fault. Look at, look at that finger pointing or finger pointing, which is never good. The thing that would have killed me the most is that like if they waited a half second longer to tackle him. The game would have been over 100%. There's a lot of things there. Uh, I mean, the guy lemon ran out of bounds. If you went down, they could have kicked the field goal without any time. That's the other thing. It's like if they, they had the possibility to keep the ball and then kick that field goal and have no time left. What do you think the Dumber decision this whole thing or the commanders? Uh, I dare I say commanders. Yeah, because like, technically, no one had any clue how much time was like normally like kicking the kicking the kicking to have it be returned. Isn't like the most insane thing ever. Yeah, yeah. I know. And you know what's like in and not to not to be like a salty fan because it's like, I know that the Eagles have been good for so long and that's been really hard for my fellow NFC East fans. But when, you know, when they're when the public laughing happens, I'm like, you know, I never publicly laughed at you. I'm sure 100% sure about that. Yeah, I'm rarely was I ever tweeting like, I love when the giants lose. Oh, you definitely. I'm the podcast. I feel like you're in trouble. You didn't like Rubbin in when like the giants or any other rivalry years and years and years ago when the giants were really good. They like an insanely dumb play. You wouldn't be like, Oh, my God. Maybe now, I guess maybe because I'm just not on Twitter at all anymore. Like I don't ever tweet. I don't know. But yeah, why are we talking about just Twitter, like on this podcast? It's always Twitter. You've definitely like made fun of other teams. Yeah, but the kids mostly cowboys. Like, I feel like that's I feel that way towards cowboys, but not like, not like not like not as much giants. There was such a funny tweet. It was like NFC East, Owen for this week, even though two of them played each other. Yeah, yeah, it's like very impressive. Cowboys lose, Eagles lose, and then they they tie. Yeah, that, I mean, that was really, I've never seen that happen before. We're just seen like every single person on the commander's offense did not know that also the time was running out. Like at least see Rihanna like, or that they didn't have a timeout. Even if it wasn't necessarily his fault, but the the commanders, it was just like everyone didn't really have any answer. They're just like, yeah, that was stupid. That's also the most frustrating thing when they're when they're just like, yeah, I got to be better. It's like, what do you need? Got to be better. Well, what was going through your mind? What do you know? Just say you didn't know that you didn't have a timeout. Well, then they say something. Then one of the other guys said in the huddle they said they didn't know that they had a timeout. Like that he knew. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. That's really. Yeah, really, really quite bad. But no, it's bad shape for the I think that at this point, I feel like they're just going to call it a wash for the season. Yeah. Oh, you think I'll be fired. Yeah. Like me season, or if he was, if they keep losing possibly, but by the end of the season, for sure, drama, I think he'll be out. I think he'll be out for sure. Because really right now he does not do much. And the, and the stats on how the team plays when they have a good offensive and defensive coordinator versus when they don't like Sierra, he makes no difference. It's really comes down to the coordinators. And when they've had great offensive coordinators, that's when they won super balls. And when they haven't, this is what happened real bad. It's been, it's been really bad. How about Drake Me though? How about Drake Me in those Patriots? I can't say let me tell you something. I was so stunned by how this ended the one o'clock games. I couldn't, I couldn't even pay attention. Like I was, I was out of it. I didn't really watch any of the Patriots. Five total touchdowns. Yeah. I didn't know that teams could end in a tie. Yeah. It really took me by surprise. Well, because what's crazy is like they changed the overtime rules to make sure that the teams get both get possession. Because that's why a tie would never happen. Because it was like if you won the coin toss and you went down and scored, then the game's over. And that's, and you just win. But now it's like if you get the ball, you score no matter what the other team has a chance to score. And that made ties way more, way more possible. Yeah, it's just, it, it really shocked me when I woke up from my nap and saw there was a tie. I always hated it as a kid just because it doesn't look good. I'm like the extra like what dash one on a record. Yeah, I hated that. Yeah, I was laughing at both tweets being like can't wait for the NFC East to come down to like the seven and nine Eagles and like the six and I also feel like I probably say this every season when there is a tie that I didn't know there were ties. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I just keep forgetting. I was like what? Yeah, a tie goes all the way. I'd be pissed. I know. We almost ties in the last 10 years. We almost got two ties. If you had to guess how many last night was almost a tie in the last 10 seasons, how many ties? In the last 10. Well, when did they change the rule three years ago? Over time rule. Because the overtime change in the overtime rule made ties way more. That was pretty recent, I think. Yeah, 2025. Oh, so I guess that overtime rule two years ago. Yeah. In the last 10 years, how many ties? Last 10 years, 17. I'm going to say 11. Nine. Nine. Okay, so very rare. Yeah, very rare. Yeah. Almost one year, almost. I'm pretty much. That's it. Yeah, that's it. Besides, let's say that we got we got two back-to-back ties in 2016. Oh, I already remember that. And 2018. Yeah. And then it was spaced out. I don't think. I honestly, my personal opinion is it's all the sports there shouldn't never be a tie. I should be playing until you're there's a winner. I 100% agree with you. I disagree only with soccer. Bobby, because they're going to die on the field. No, it's just like, you know, they're long games. And what are you going to play until like a regular Premier League game you're going to play until penalty kicks?
Well, that every single game is fun for me. I don't if you're like a real soccer fan I'm sure that you are like this isn't how you should end the game But yeah, I like penalty kicks and like shootouts and hockey and all that stuff Yeah, yeah, I think it's just like longevity-wise, you know, these guys are playing a lot of games If you make every game 30 minutes longer, but that's like 10 It's like tennis like tennis even does it where it goes into what's it called the Ty break tie break. Yeah, so yeah, you got to end somehow. Yeah What did you have to say post? It was about the tie. Oh about the tie. Yeah, yeah, yeah Very excited. Although I have Matt Stafford on my fantasy team I'm the laughing stock of my family so I just genuinely I can't even talk about I'm the fucking laughing stock I don't know how that happened. I don't know how it happened either. Oh my guys are hurt. I don't know I don't I don't know. I've kind of threw it out the window. I think staffer will have a good game time I hope hopefully I will win tonight if he has a good game. So yeah, I think Stafford and Trash know what both play well tonight. Yeah You're not playing against Josh Allen. Are you? What do you mean about? No, no, no, no, no, no, just the person I'm playing with their teams, but everybody's how much are you now? Let me check guys. I really don't even want to talk. Are you last place? No, I don't know. I don't know Guys, you're asking me so many questions. I don't know You just know that you're terrible. I just know that I've been losing every week I'm down right now 10 points, but I'll but their team's done. So yeah, you're in the place unless Matt Stafford trips on his way out and falls The bill's defense is terrible A lot of really angry fans. Oh, man, whatever. I'm the laughing stock of the league. I've accepted it. That's it's okay It's okay enough sports talk. Yeah, yeah, that's it. I was fucking furious. God. I don't blame you What a tough one for all the people that went to my brother and my dad were we're just like damn you for that's a long flight home It's oh yeah, and one of oh they had such a nice trip. So it's regardless, but One of Joe's friends was also there and he left after The Eagles kicked the field goal and then he was like in their group chat being like wait I'm I'm getting on the tube. Like what happens? Oh God that's nasty I would obviously put the blame on that's nasty real nasty stuff. Yeah But Roodle, but other than that, it was a lovely weekend. He's in yeah, how the rest of your weekend go We threw a surprise party for my dad, which was awesome on Friday night. So Left Montana three in the morning Thursday night God home Made it made it back to the city then took the train along Island big surprise cuz Cino night He had no idea. He had no idea and he actually was more Suck on the fact that he did not pick up on it like he just was like how did I not how did I not pick up on this whole thing? That is true. He was he felt very disoriented that the people in his own house had been planning this for months Right, I could also see him being like that that that leads to Well, what else you guys had for me right because well because my sister lives yeah in my house along Island and my mom and my sister I've been really planning it together and he's like this is happening under my roof. I had no clue and had no idea So job well done. Yeah, so they they crushed it Really did an awesome job putting this together casino night Matt set up They had like Casino games come like you can have people come set up like roulette blackjack. It's fake money Yeah, but it's still very fun and so that was awesome had a ban come It was so cute his his like best friends that he's literally grew up with since he was a small small child Fluent to surprise him and he was so taken aback so happy had like the time of his life It's a big birthday. Yeah, it's a 60th birthday party. So that was really awesome and a lot of fun And then I honestly just crashed so hard after that came home Late Friday night wanted to sleep in my own bed. So I did not stay on Long Island. Yeah, and just slept for the entire weekend. I really can't I literally slept so much I can't even tell you how many hours slept It was just like sleep like up for a little bit go back to sleep wake up for a little bit and I was really it Yes, really, but it was so cozy one to the diner Sunday, which was really great all day Sunday Oh, it was like the perfect time to do nothing. I did not change out of my pajamas. Oh, I wore the same pajamas from Friday night when I got home after the surprise party to Sunday night when I finally decided to take a shower Like I went to the diner in the clothes that I had been sleeping in since Which is very unlike me. If you know me. I'm a big, you know Shower like three times. Yeah, I'm a big shower and change type of gal and I just couldn't do it No, I felt that as well. I also Yeah, I did not have the energy and I ended up getting my period like After the big fall the big throw off the horse that night when I was throwing off the horse I got my period which was very odd because I just had it two weeks ago But I looked into it and it's like a trauma response your body stressed out can make it come earlier the whole thing So then I'm like, oh now I have my period. Yeah, and that added to it and I just felt so blah And I feel really blah today. I'm not gonna lie. I feel kind of like shit today and I've pretty much accepted that I'm gonna feel like shit probably until Wednesday. That's the deadline though That's the deadline I'm cutting myself on Wednesday because I'm gonna get my hair done one day and I feel like that really revives Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's very much giving Vince after he gets into that big accident towards the end of entourage And then he shapes his head off and like goes down like a bad path like that's kind of what I'm giving with this whole fall thing It's like oh no. Oh now she's dying her hair. I'm like, who knows sometimes like when you have a weekend where you're just sleeping so much It's hard. It's just hard to get back. Oh Yeah, like it like you get back in the swing of things makes you more like the more you sleep the more sleep you are exactly Sometimes like exact because I was running on Zero sleep from Thursday to Friday. I did not sleep at all because Thursday was the last night of our brand trip, which was so much fun. Oh my god like we seriously at the best time ever with these girls and DSW like it really was so much fun Yeah, and so none of us wanted to leave each other and go to sleep. No, no, no We were playing you two videos in our room exactly with the with the other girls and we were having so many laughs and so We stayed up until I had to go to the airport and then I just was gone No, and sometimes you have more energy that way because you're like I just gonna get through this power power Until your body just like inevitably shuts down, which is what happened But yeah, I'm giving myself till Wednesday and then hopefully I come back around and I Stop feeling so blah the hair always helps Yeah, now I'm kind of as you're doing the you're dying or cutting. I'm doing both. I'm not I'm not a major cut Nobody nobody fret. I'm just getting a little trim a trim just a little dusting. Yeah, just to give some body back And yeah, I'm going brown. Although now I'm having second thoughts about going brown But I think I just have to do it I'm like your second thoughts. I just like looked really good last week You know like a blonde like it really I was looking back as a you know, we look oh really good So I'm I'm second-guessing it, but I know that in a couple weeks anyway I'm gonna be like no, I want so I might as well. I have the appointment Yeah, yeah, yeah mine as well. Just do it and you don't really go like it's not brown That was not you know, well, it's brown, but it's not like black. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I'll never tie my hair black again No, no, but it's not like you're not we're not talking chocolate brown Teetering probably I feel like the last time you had it brown. It was it had it had it was dimension But it's still like brown, you know, um, so yeah, that'll be Wednesday I'm excited for that and I'm excited like get somewhere energy back in my life I'm on my fourth espresso of the morning Fourth yeah, what the hell I know that's kind of insane guys. I'm so tired. No, I know But like that doesn't send you're like you're not hearts. I'm beating out of your chest No, like that's crazy. I think I just have such as like caffeine really can have such an effect on me Yeah, where I just feel like I feel it for I think I'd have to go to the hospital Not even kidding like I I think I'd be I think I think I was having a heart attack really yeah, yeah I had to to a espresso martini's Thursday night and I Could not like that's different when you're trying to fall asleep later, but I still felt like Friday afternoon I felt it's yeah, well your body's very sensitive to caffeine. It is I do not Mine's not as much to caffeine because I was addicted to soda for most of my life Yeah, I feel I feel like I just like yeah He just ran on soda for a long time not any more, but yeah, you know, but it's not as crazy But for a while you really didn't drink coffee for so long. I know I know but I think it's just a go from zero to four For a morning is not literally will Farrell and kicking screaming which by the way RIP Mike Dica. Yeah, yeah Yeah, I know that was a big one. Yeah, I was I That was a surprising one too. I don't know but then you realize he was old. Yeah, yeah, I didn't realize he was like 86 Yeah, I thought when I heard that I was like oh my god, what happened then I was like oh, he's yeah 86 But what yeah, that was a more kind of kicking screaming. It's like that's when he comes up. Yeah, yeah, I guess if you hear me a lot
I would say mainly knowing from that, like if you're not a big football fan, you know? - Yes, yeah, no, the Bears, you know, like that's not my thing, but I know that that was-- - It is, however it is for many. So yeah, four is crazy. No, I'm just usually four, when I usually just have two in the morning and I'm good, I just have a double espresso in the morning. I am so, I cannot emphasize enough how tired and physically ill I feel. - Yeah. - Do you guys know what you're gonna be for Halloween? This year? - Not a clue. - I know. - Not even thought about it. - No, we're gonna do a-- - Are we gonna do a-- - We should start thinking about it, it's actually right around the corner. - Wow, now I'm frazzled, we don't have our idea. - I know, now we're behind this. - But you know what, I was watching, what popped up on my TikTok, weirdly enough was videos of when we did "Cheese the Man" a couple of years ago. - Yeah. - Oh, just randomly. - Yeah. - I don't know why I think. - You're always searching in your name. - Yeah, well, of course. (laughing) - The algorithm knows to show you videos of me. - Just a real algorithm, it's just you. (laughing) - Wow, this girl's funny. (laughing) - That's actually my nightmare. - Oh. - Like genuinely my nightmare is when I'm scrolling on TikTok and I see a video about me. - Yeah. - I hate it, I block it, I report it. Like, I hit the not interested spot. - I hit the not interested, I hate it. - Speaking of that, like the whole "John Mayer" thing, I was like, I don't wanna read what. I literally said to Sarah, don't clip that, obviously. After last weekend, then I was scrolling TikTok. Someone else clipped it, I was scrolling TikTok. - Yeah, I didn't see that. - That's what I mean. - When I see a clip of our show, not from our page, I immediately, I'm like, I'm not interested in this. (laughing) - Like, I remember what I said. - Yeah. - And then I don't wanna watch it. - I don't wanna watch it. - Yeah, let's think of some good costumes. - Yeah, we have to, oh my God, you're so right. - We've always had so many good ideas in past years, too, that we haven't done so we've moved to think back. - Oh, shit, oh my God. - What was like, big this year, that's like, in terms of pop culture. - Off-campus. - Yeah, what would you be an off-campus? - That's an easy one, if they're sounding like the prior Jersey or whatever. - Right. - Yeah, but. - But I feel like, who do you, who do you, - You should wear the pink helmet. - You could be a, are you Garrett Graham? Like, probably. - Really? - I feel like you like, you like dressing up as guys. - I do, I totally do. But if I wanted to not be a guy, then I would do Ali and then have Matt do Dean. So like, the J-Lo, yeah, I'm sure that, I'm sure a lot of people will do. - But then people are just gonna think you're dressing up as J-Lo and Matt. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no. - People will get it for sure. - But I feel like that will be played out. So yeah, I would probably dress as Garrett Graham. - That would be funny. You should get full hockey pads. - Yeah. - Let's see, we've got, people are gonna do bad bunny, the cast of the pit. Taylor swept in the, in the ham sisters all and there's Nick's shirts. - Yeah, I feel like we have to really think outside the box here. - Obsession. - I think we have to do something if people are making obsessions and it'd be a lot. - Obsession's gonna be a lot. - I rewatched Obsession on the plane last week. It was an odd choice by me, but I very much enjoyed it. - You see, they're already like, Carrie Baker's already like, brought his new movie. - Really, no, I haven't seen it. You could be the grass from bad bunny's Super Bowl performance. Athena Odysseus is a big one. Celebrity Row, yeah, Hannah Garrett, obviously. I mean, you can buy the full Garrett Graham costume. It's like, they got the whole jersey. - I feel like that's everything too obvious, though, that we would be dressing up from off campus. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, yeah. I had a heated rivalries and other one. I think a lot of people do that. - You know, I'm giving heated rivalries a rewatch soon. - That's so fair. - I miss it. - Yeah. - I miss it too much. - Harry Styles in the dance, no more video. No, we gotta think something, throwback. You know, that's our point. - This is, I was looking at like, this is all Christmas. - And last year I did pretty because I did Glinda. - Yeah. - That was also for like a show. - Right. - But now I wanna go back to, 'cause it was, we did she's the man, then we did sweet life. Then we did wicked. We gotta go back to, I gotta go back to the guy. - Yeah. - Can we go back to the, the funny. - Yeah, I wanna go back to the, to the funny. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - So we gotta think about this. - You've totally distracted me now. - I know, no, no, no. - We're at the point now where if you need to order something, you know what I mean? - It's gotta be now. It will be figured out by tonight. (laughing) - She will be sending ideas. - I will be sending ideas. - She will be sending ideas. - I'll be sending ideas all day. - All day. - So, you know what? - Thomas Saturday this year, Halloween. - It is, I have a wedding the next day, so I can't even celebrate on Halloween. - Why, you don't wanna be hungover? - I can, I won't be like. - Oh, I miss it. - Yeah. And, you know, it's crazy. The marathon is on something. - That sucks. - Yeah. - You're gonna miss out on all the kids' training. - I know. - I know, I'm bummed. - Dang. And your first marathon. - My first marathon. - I said that yesterday, I was so bummed, because Alex, Andrews, you know, Andrew and Alex, they're gonna be in the city for that, for that marathon again. And they reminded me that I won't be here. And I was super bummed. My first, 'cause I never understood the hubbub around it. So I was excited to really be in the mix this year, and I won't even be in the mix. - Oh. - I know. - Tard, I know. - It is great. That's gonna be a very different feel going from Halloween night into Marathon Sunday. It's gonna be a tough one for a lot of people. - Actually, so does that mean that next year, Halloween will be on Marathon Sunday? - No, 'cause Marathon is always the first Sunday of November. So it'll actually be two weekends now. - Yeah. - Like now it'll be separated. And it'll never be out to work. - It'll never be out to work. - But this is just what happens where November first, the first Sunday in November. - They were running in costumes. - Oh, you know, people-- - I bet you won't be out of people well because people do that. I mean, people do that anyway. - Oh, yeah. I'm so bummed now. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I'm gonna miss the Halloween parade and the Marathon. - Yeah. - And honestly, the move to the city, really, before the holidays, so I can experience all the holidays. - Well, you'll be here for-- - Oh, Thanksgiving and Christmas is the best time. - I can't wait. They already decorated like outside my apartment area with like pumpkin and greens over there. - So cute. - So cute. - No, it's so cute. I know that I really haven't been here in the city for a long now, but I'm-- - Have you gone to such a work? - Yeah. - Oh, okay. - Yeah. - Gone. - That's a shame. - We were all there. - What? - We were all there, or technically, in such a park after we went to the Verity premiere. - Yeah. - But I think he meant like-- - I mean, let's take a nice stroll. - No, I know. I know. I'm just technically, we were all there. - I mean, you can do it yesterday. I was raining, but nothing's bad. A nice Sunday stroll. - Yeah, and now that we have this diner that we love nearby, it's like, oh, hit the diner on Sundays, then go for a Central Park stroll, really romanticizing it all. I'm like eating it up. I really haven't been here. But it's like, I'm just loving it. And I feel bad. I feel like I've just like abandoned Jersey so fast. And it's kind of like, see you later, but I have not thought about, I have not thought about it. - Yeah, you never know. You never know. But that's because it's so exciting. - You're here now. - Yeah, right. - But this has been hadn't. This is people all over the world come here. - Well, you know what, it was funny. Of course, I just mean later down the road. - No, I know. - You're living in like the number one city in the world. - No, it's awesome. And we used to be like, oh, you know, like people in Manhattan, they don't get the view that we get of Manhattan. But it's like, no, no, now we're in it. - Yeah, it's a concrete jungle. - Yeah, we're in the concrete jungle. But I am going back to the high end of you. - I'm going back to Jersey. I wanted to get my hair done. So, right, I'll be the one person you cannot abandon. - I will never abandon my hair people. Because they are the reason that my hair looks so good. I truly believe because once I started going here, my hair so healthy, like I cannot abandon my hair girls. I just can't. - It's the one thing. - Yeah, I see you. But the hair, I'm back. I am back. - So fair. - All right, well, I'm going to be thinking about Halloween costumes all day of night. - Yeah. - So, gosh. - That's all the ideas we start talking. - Okay, I think I just thought of an idea. But I'll wait, I'll wait. - No, no, no. - No, no, no, I'll send it to you guys later. Okay, let's get into today's topic. - Yes. - Kelly Clarkson, verse this art store in Brooklyn. So Kelly Clarkson and this art store have gotten into quite the tip. They have. So Kelly Clarkson tweeted about how she went to the store in Brooklyn because she was interested in some of their pieces. Yes. I'm confused, it's like a art toy store. Yeah. Magic. Magic involved. Just sounds like very Brooklyn. Really? A jack of all trade store. Just sounds very Brooklyn. It's called the Art of Play. She originally posted, "Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store. I thought it looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn't afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You know, I'm not an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But you all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character and pretty woman. For sure. Check it out. Thumbs down emoji." The store then posts yesterday, Kelly Clarkson visited us in Brooklyn and inquired about buying Molly, a one of a kind singing and dancing bird on a maton who plays an important role in the magic shows we host here. Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn't for sale. However, the negative experience Kelly described on Twitter would resonate with anyone who has ever felt judged in a shop. At Art of Play, whether someone comes in to make a purchase or simply look around for a while, they are equally welcome. We greet everyone who walks in the door with the invitation to pick things up and play, and they do. Many stay for hours enjoying our puzzles, games, and toys. Imagine our surprise when our small local business was suddenly attached by 8 million people who have never visited our store. It's been a surreal experience to be the focus of such widespread outrage after just one mentioned by celebrity. Thanks to all of our friends for their support and welcome to all the curious folks who have discovered us amidst the drama. We're going to keep our heads down and hopefully we can clear things up with Kelly Sunday. As a talented popular singer once said, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?" Joey Kamasa actually commented on this post and said, "I was literally there in August and saw Molly. There was a price tag on it. It's most definitely for sale." So Kelly then posted a screenshot of Molly with the price tag next to it. $15,000. This thing is not in sale for it. It's right there. It's a little placard. Kelly responded back, "Cool, cool, sure. It wasn't for sale. That's the narrative art of play is going to go with thumbs up emoji." So the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale, while it was pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title, "Sigging Bird," didn't happen. As you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending toad, "Yes, it's for sale but it costs $15,000. So if you'd like me to find something comparable for you, I can." That all never happened and now it's not for sale. Okay, cool. So you're not only rude. You're also a liar. Got it. You say support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important. I always support them. But you don't get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It's not that hard to be kind. I never blast people. But you, my friend, were an exception. Your store is really cool. Unfortunately, you aren't. Arted play then came back and clarified and the clarification was very funny to me. We'd like to clarify some additional details about Kelly Clarkson's visit to our curiosity shop on Saturday. In the five minutes, you spent in the store, she inquired about her mechanical burp up in name Molly. We explain that while Molly is permanently attached to the wall and serves as a de facto mask offer or shop, a nearly identical automaton is owned by the creator of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Cobb who lives in Seattle. He told us he would be willing to part with Molly's twin for $15,000. We explained all of this to Kelly Clarkson. We also offered to show her a different singing bird, maybe a traditional clockmaking shop in Germany that she could have taken home with her that day. It cost about $2,000. She did not stick around long enough to see it. We've reached out to Kelly directly to try and clear the air. We really do wish her the best and hope that someday we can all laugh about this misunderstanding. It's funny to me to say that it went from Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn't for sale. Wait, I love that this is pinned on their Instagram. Our favorite item is not for sale and it's, yeah, well, I think that might be a recent pin. Okay, I have a question. Now it is for sale. They call themselves a curiosity shop. Is that what this whole thing is called? Five minutes. Yeah. Are favorite items. That was up for five. Mom. But they probably pinned it like, yes, right. Favorite items not for sale five weeks ago. Okay, wait, go. Here a month long summer hiatus our Brooklyn curiosity shop is open again. See yields is never find me at a curiosity shop. I don't think shows are full of wonderful things for sale, but in honor of Labor Day Weekend, we thought we share a few of our favorites that aren't. Okay, keep scrolling. These are all free. Hmm, interesting, interesting. And that's the bird. That is the bird. That is the bird. Here's the thing though, like it's like very clearly. There was a price tag. You could see it. There's a price tag next to the bird. Where they just like bagging that thing and have this bird that cost $15,000, but like you can't have it. And like, I don't know if maybe they were trying to say that we could get you this, like we won't sell you this bird, but we could get you the same bird for $15,000, it's just not this one, you know? Right. It's like if they have a price tag next to the bird, or they just being like, this is what this bird costs, but you can't have it. You can't have this one. No, no, no, no, you can't have it. No, you can't have this one specifically, but then you're like, I want that one. That's it. Well, the thing is, I want it now, but the whole thing is, I think if Kelly Clarkson is mad about something, there has to be like to it because she has never complained about one thing in her life. She has a drama-free woman. And my god, she had some ups and downs in her personal life. And she has never once publicly, you know, put someone on blast or share things that she shouldn't. She's a national treasure, Kelly Clarkson. Of course. And here's the thing for this, whoever was working to not realize they were dealing with Kelly Clarkson is where I'm like, this store just isn't for me clearly because of you're not recognizing Kelly Clarkson. We got a problem. Exactly. And I don't want to, what's the word I'm looking for? Typecast. Mm. What a, what a Brooklyn curiosity shop were, yeah, a shop would, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. How they would come across to you. Right. Pretentious. Right. Come on. Yeah. For all thinking it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This person said there's a comment after their last response. Scroll down a little. No. As I binge your store and I have seen Molly's price tag, the moody employees you hire are the problem. I may be nobody. And my experiences and opinions may mean nothing to you. But I have received the same treatment from your employees. Now I feel better because I realize that all those times I felt like there was something wrong with me. The problem wasn't me. The problem is your employees and your refusal to acknowledge what is happening. Instead of making excuses, you should investigate the situation more thoroughly and apologize. It's really not that hard. Here's the thing. So there's something like maybe the owner has no idea that their employees are being dicks to people. 1000% on I feel like that happens often. And I've seen the argument now where people are like, okay, well now there's a lot of tension to the small business and that's not right because it's a small business. Right. While it is a small business and we want to support small businesses, having a small business does not give you the right to be an asshole, like the employees working. You don't just get a free pass to be a dickhead because it's a small business. Like you still want people to come in and feel welcome to buy things in your shop. Totally. And I feel like that does happen in places where sometimes you walk into an establishment and the employee is so nasty and it's not on the owner at all and then you're kind of thrown off because maybe the employee's having a bad day or maybe, you know, and then you're just like, you take it out on them, but I don't know this really is really got out of hand and I just feel like they had to have been really fucking rude for Kelly Clarkson to get online and be like, do not shop here. I agree. And if she walked in and it's like, you're immediately you feel judged by your parents. Like you said, the elevator eyes, her like looking her up and down, I've never heard of that term. And now I love it. Elevator eyes. Elevator eyes, yeah. Is that song like that? That's a good one. Elevator eyes. The vacation eyes. Yeah. Vacation eyes or, you know, bedroom eyes. It's the term. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- What about elevator? - Elevatorize, honestly, bad connotation. Sounds not good. - No, it's judgy. - Elevatorize is up and down. - You're looking and I'm just, I'm just envisioning what this employee was saying, just looking her up and down and it's basically like, you should try sears, like, you know what I mean? Yeah, ooh, you should try sears. - Yeah, and that's just, yeah. - And she's Kelly Clarkson, so I would be fucking pissed. - And if I'm Kelly Clarkson, I'm like, go fuck yourself. Seriously, you don't know I'm Kelly Clarkson. - And you know Kelly Clarkson maybe doesn't want to say, do you know who I am? - No, but I feel like Kelly Clarkson. - Well, this is her saying that. (laughs) - I don't know if it's her. - Yeah, you know what, I'm gonna give her a pass. - I'm gonna give her an 8 million followers. - I'm gonna give her a pass to be like, do you know who I am? I'm Kelly Clarkson. - Kelly Clarkson is a staple. - She is, travel with love. - The thing is, I think Noah has been quiet because he doesn't want to give his opinion about love. - No, no, I am not. - Noah's team shop. - No, I'm not team shop, and I'm not anti-Kelly. I like Kelly. I just think it's like one of those situations where it's like, it's spiraling out of control, and it's like, just let it go. - You know, that is true, but sometimes you just, something comes over you where you're like, I need to stand up for myself. - Right, I guess so. - And I just feel like Kelly, there's been so many times where people want to walk all over Kelly. - You know, sometimes that is, sometimes it's not about - It's sometimes about being walked all over. - Unfortunately, Art of Play may have just been Kelly Clarkson last drop. - Wrong place, wrong time, and you played with the wrong version of Kelly Clarkson, and you just got the brunk of it. - Exactly. - If you go, sometimes you just, I'm gonna explode, and this fucking guy not letting me buy this $15,000 bird is my last drop off. - But the twos are so funny. - It's like when they say, you know, you take it out on the people closest to you. - Yes. - It's like, unfortunately, Art of Play was the closest in proximity to Kelly when this all went down. - Yeah. - She just said, I don't know. - There was one that was like, Kelly Clarkson was trying to buy the red balls outside of Target, right? (laughing) This one, Kelly Clarkson has a taser, and she won't leave the reinforced caffeine until she can buy one of the animatronic birds. (laughing) - Unfortunately, that is very funny. - And you know what, I would be pissed, like if there was something that I had been seeing on social, and I was like really excited about going to check it out, and I wanted to inquire about it. And I walk in, and they basically look at me like, "Honey, you can't afford this, I'd be pissed." - Yeah, yeah, it's definitely quite, it's definitely quite the feeling. - Yeah, now look. - That you don't want to have happened to you. But here's the thing. - It was a lengthy statement. - This is more than I would ever think Kelly Clarkson would do, but like I said, we clearly caught Kelly on a bad day. - Right, and art of plan on a bad day at that. This is just not very serious. - No, you know what I mean? - The employee didn't walk up to Kelly Clarkson and slap her in the face and spit on her and say, "Pff, you can't afford this." - I also don't think that Kelly was trying to end this business. - So yes, this has gotten a bit out of hand. - Like, oh my god, Kelly hates small business. - Yeah, she wants a kill, small business. - On both ends, like they didn't, yeah, you know. - Imagine just being like not the employee. Like you're just like a worker there now and now you're at this like hated store. - Yeah, you're like, "Fuck off." - People are going in there, like. - If and you realize your dickhead coworker was an asshole to Kelly Clarkson, you're pissed. - Yeah, they're probably like, "Oh, that guy sucks, yeah." - By the way, if anything, there's probably so many people trying to go to this store right now. - Oh, I thought if I take into the Brooklyn, just to check out what this is all about. - It's going to be lying out the door. People are going to be trying to see what, and people, this bird is famous now. - And everybody's going to want to go see Molly, the fucking bird. - And people are going to want to try to buy this bird. Someone's like, "I want to own the bird." - Kelly Clarkson just came into my apartment and demanded to buy a load bearing wall. (laughing) - Where is this place? - It's holy shit. - Looking it up. - Yeah, it's just not that serious, but I understand why Kelly was annoyed. - Yeah, yeah. - Jurassic Park updates. Kelly Clarkson has her gift shop employee at gunpoint and will not leave until we sell her an animatronic dinosaur. (laughing) - Oh, it's really like right over the Brooklyn Bridge. Is it by Peter Lugers? - Yeah, actually, yeah. I think so, hold on. - Oh, no, it's not. - Peter Lugers is by the Williamsburg Bridge. - Got my bridges mixed up. - Yep, Art of Play is down by the Brooklyn Bridge, sort of like Cobble Hill. It's listed as a home goods store on Google. - That makes more, let's go with home goods, not curiosity shop. - A place? - Curiosity shop. This makes me want to roll my eyes. - A place to discover magic. That's what's on the door. And now I'm looking at people's reviews. - Honestly, though, this is kind of like just like, you know, the world-- - It's a cute shop. - The world's a crazy place. It's kind of refreshing to have like such an absurd story. - It really is, this is so 2011. - Yeah, like no one's really gonna get hurt here. - Hopefully, you know? (laughing) But this is where people take things too far. And they get really mad for Kelly Clarkson. They're gonna leave all these terrible reviews and it's a whole thing off of one dickhead employee. And it's, you know-- - As of right now, only it's, that has not been affected. - Okay. - I can say, from looking at it on Google Maps. - Yeah. - You're right, though. Like, we needed something refreshing like this on the timeline. - It's something, yeah. It's like-- - Something not so serious. - Kelly Clarkson versus art of play. - Yeah. - Let's write this down for the New Year's episode when we talk about the pop culture moments of the year. - This could get way bigger. - It's only beginning of the week. - Like, you know, that was a whole new thing. He's like a sports reporter. But he's really like, his whole thing is investigating. Like, he investigated Bill Belch, I can Jordan. But he's like, I'm looking into this. - Yeah. - Well, I mean, the funny, like the immediate second statement from them being like, just to clarify, from the five minute conversation, first statement was so like, this bird is not for sale. And then it was like, well, let me clarify. The bird is for sale, but not this bird. But you could get another bird. But then it's just like, all right, well now, I think you're getting your lines crossed a little bit on the play. - Right. - Maybe they were saying that like, they had a comparable, like we have another bird that's comparable, just not this bird. - Yeah. - I don't know, I'm trying to figure out what-- - Kelly Clarkson's only talked to about three people. Dr. Luke Clive Davis in her bum-ass ex-husband. Now I'm really interested in what this store had to say. - Exactly. - That's what I'm saying. - This store had to be really rude. - And I'm telling ya, you gotta be a real dick to rile up Kelly Clarkson like this. - 1,000%. - 1,000%. - And that's-- - Kelly. - Come on the show, let's talk about it. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Should we just go to the store and investigate? - Live. - Like, excuse me, would you like to comment? (laughing) - Well, I'm sure there are. - They're probably getting bombarded. - Yeah, they're probably to their-- - Access Hollywood's coming to you live from outside art and play tonight, so. - Listen, we needed something a little early 2000s to get back onto the timeline right now. - And also just like throwing it on Twitter too was really, you're just like, this, she never tweets. - Also, she's cross-posting. Like she posted on Instagram and Twitter like. - We're making sure this is seen from all angles. - She is not backing down on this, and that I respect. She's like, fuck part of play. - So is her show still on or no? - No, she finished on it. - If only the ratings would have been huge. - She should bring it back just this week. - No, she's saying that cover of Golden, it was unbelievable. - Golden, the Harry Styles. - No, no, no. - No, keep up, demon hunters. It's like, it's literally an impossible song to say live. - Maybe she'll write a song about this. - She did it with so much, oh my god. - Molly. - Yeah, and it's called Molly. - Yeah. - Art and play. - And there's like birch. - Yeah, you heard you album. - Art and play. - That was so much fun. - I'm guessing that they didn't tell her that there was another $15,000 bird that she could buy. They were like, you could buy the $2,000 one. - Yeah. - God, so pretentious. - I mean, it really is a thing that, what you're like, yeah, it's just a. - What a crazy thing to be fighting over. - Of the bird actually in motion. - No. - It's interesting, it's like you kind of do this thing and then the bird moves and makes bird noises. But I was like, that's it, for $15,000. - It's all right, right, right. I want this bird talking back to me, if it's for that much. - Right, I want to communicate. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Anyways, moving on, Tobey McGuire officiated his ex-wife's weddings. - Yeah. - I didn't know Tobey McGuire had a next wife. - They just finalized sports as last one. - Tobey McGuire isn't he always with like, young models with Leo? - Yeah, but they were married for like 20 years. - Really. - Oh my God, I, I, maybe not too late. - No, they finalized their divorce in September of this year. - That's what's crazy is they just finalized their divorce. - They haven't been together for a long time now. - Yeah. - How many years? - I think like 10 years, they haven't been together for like 10 years. - Oh, okay, that makes more sense. - They have kids. - The more you know, I truly thought that Tobey McGuire has you spend a bachelor's whole life just like Leo. - No, look at that.
- How many kids Tobin McGuire has? I think they have maybe at least two kids. Now, why in the hell is he officiating his ex-wife's wedding? - He has two kids. - Two kids, what Jennifer Meyer? - The crazy thing is that his kid is the same age as that girl that he was doing earlier. - That's fucking crazy. That is crazy. - It's Jennifer Meyer is his mother, right? - I'm just saying that's the mother of these children. - Yeah, yeah, well he officiated the ex-wife's wedding, and I gotta be honest, I don't know whether this is beautiful or weird. I don't really care how close you are, it's weird. Like that's so nice that they get along so well, and like you're, you know, one big family unit. - Yeah. - But. - Is it weird, the kids are there? Like you're gonna go. - No, no, no, you can be a guest. Like that's a be a guest, be supportive, be there. But if you think about like what an officiate, like what he's doing, and officiating their new vows, and the promises, and all these things, it's like, it's a little weird to be the one doing that when not so long ago you were on the other side doing this with the same person. - And you have to talk about the couple. - Yeah, you're like, Mary, what a beautiful thing Mary. - I just feel like, you know, it's, I'd be like ugh. I give more props to the new husband, because the fact that he's cool with this. - Yeah, never, never in my life would I be okay with that. I don't care how close we are. - He's like a billionaire, this new guy, huh? - Yeah, well, maybe he's like that's why he doesn't tell me that. - Yeah, yeah, I love this guy. So, what happened for you, Jenny? - I saw some absolutely hilarious fake photos of Toby McGuire and I spiced like kissing, and this one, they were fake. - They were fake, but it was like, it's just that, like ongoing rumors hilarious. But these pictures, I'm just like, I don't know, it's bizarre to me, it is bizarre. They finalized their divorce on September 21st. But here's the thing, yeah, no, it's, it's. - They're like, oh wait, why the way I'm getting married, we should probably finalize that. - Uh, this is the kind of place we're at now. We're like, you see this and your initial reaction is like, yeah, that's fucking weird. Why would he be officiating that? But now, there's gonna be a ton of people going, but that is so nice. That is, that is so nice. - I'm gonna see a problem with it to be honest. - You don't think that's a weird? Is it like uncommon for sure? But if they're like, if they've been separated for 10 years, they have kids together, and clearly they have a good relationship, then like. - But there's not one other person in their life that would be good at, but what if they, she asked him and he's like, yeah, I'll do it, like, I'm happy for you. I just want you to be happy. - All I know, I'm just putting myself in those shoes, and I do not want my wedding to be officiated by someone that my new spouse has had sex with. - No, certainly not. - I think it's definitely most important. - And free it offspring. - Yeah. - It's definitely more weird for the new spouse. - Successfully they porticated. - Yeah. - You know, like that to me is just. - Yeah. - Yeah, I mean, they haven't broken up for 10 years. It's Hollywood, man. - You've dated like a thousand people since then. - It's just like, in my opinion, I'm just like, there's no one else that you guys are close with. - They were married from 2007 to 2016. - Okay, so that was an exaggeration on 20 years from me. They were married for nine years, but have two kids. I just, you know, that is very nice to all be there together, officiating is just another level. Now, like, of course, there were a lot of big names were there, Leo, Jeff Bezos, Jeff and Lauren, Cornie Cox. - Imagine, I think maybe Leo officiating would be even weirder. - Leo and Leo. - Leo's just there to support his pal. - Leo, tell me we're like wedding crashers. They're just like hitting on every girl the way. - I, yeah, like, big picture, you think, that's beautiful, everybody gets along. They're one big, happy, blended family. Small picture, I just personally wouldn't be able to. I'd be like, I would love for him to be there. - As a guest. - Yeah, have fun, celebrate. - Right, on a deeper level, if I'm a guest attending this wedding, I'm fully gossiping about this. - Right, right, right. - At the wedding, after the wedding, before the wedding. Like, I'm talking about this, to no end. - You just like started trend where all your next marriages are all officiated by your exes. - I think that's it. - It's like, well, this guy I'll have his turn. You know, it's a point, but. - And then he'll be, and then the, and then the Billy will be officiating the next one. - Just going through the whole thing. - But you never know. - Yeah, the picture's looked beautiful, and you know, glad Toby felt like he had a job. Then you think sometimes they're just, you're like, "God, what can we, what can we have Toby do?" It's like when they made, when. - Kyle is the flower. - When Lindsay and Carl, we're gonna have Kyle be the flower girl. - Yeah. - It's like, ooh, you don't even know how to officiate. - Yeah. - But we'll give them this job. - No, Toby, they were like, actually, you know, Toby really wants a job. - Some of his sheep? - Well, it's not gonna be the highest honor at the wedding. - Yeah. - Cozy season is upon us. Okay, we have to talk about the banana bowl. - Banana bowl. - I feel like people are thinking there's collusion going on. - Yeah, and honestly, my husband brought this to my attention. - I get it. - 'Cause he is really riled up about the banana bowl and the savanna bananas and Jackson in general. He, I don't know if it maybe comes from a place of, why am I not a dancing baseball player? - Right, right, right now. - There might be something there. - There might be something, you know, below, there might be something he does want to admit. - Right. - That he wishes to start a dancing baseball player, a dancing banana. - Yeah, but realistically, he could be. - Yes. - Like if it was somebody who was like, it could never be a possibility. You don't really have those feelings. Like, ooh, that could be me. But it could be, when you played baseball in college and yeah, or, you know. - And he's a good dancer. - Right, so it's like, ooh, what kind of, what kind of big? - Yeah. - So, you know, when he brings us up, I just let him have it. - Yeah, yeah. - You get your feelings off of him. - For sure. - This is like a battle. - It's a battle personal, personal, like, I got it. - You're not able to enjoy it in the rest of us. - And he's like, have you seen what's going on? About to see what the stars, I'm like, what's going on? I, we're not on this, I'm on the, whatever the fuck's happening with Guillermo, with Jacks, he's like, yeah. They're keeping Jacks in around because they're promoting the banana bowl. - I'm like, who what? - So I just looked deeper into this. - Yeah. - The banana bowl was happening this weekend. So people thought streamed on Disney+, streamed on Disney+, and there were collab posts between Jacks and Dancing with the stars promoting the banana bowl. - There were dancers from, lots of dancers from Dancing with the stars performed at the banana bowl. - People were on this before this even happened last week. They were like, they're gonna keep 'em because of this. - I had no idea. - Yeah, see, we didn't know the banana bowl was on the calendar. - I didn't know. - I had no idea. - We were unaware that the banana bowl was a big old event. Here's the thing, I don't know if it's like, devil's advocate. I don't know if it's, we're keeping him for the banana bowl 'cause realistically, he could have been on for three weeks and they still could have done all this. Like, they still could have had. - They would have hit the same. - Yeah, no, no, yeah, but they still could have had the dancers go and all these things. My thing more is that like, this explains so much.
much more why he was cast. That's my, that I'm like, oh, and so early on that they announced that he was going to be on desk with the stars, because I'm sure in their plans for the year it was like, well, Disney's going in on the Savannah bananas in a big way. Like, Disney's going in on the bananas, Disney's streaming, the banana bowl. We were going all in on the bananas. Give me the, give me the bunch. Like, give me all the bananas. And they you know, it'll be so great. And synergy is let's cast one of the bananas on dance with the stars. Then it all makes sense when we also air the banana bowl. Totally. I have a couple of things I want to say. Yeah. Number one, of course, the Jonas Brothers performed on the banana. I couldn't believe my, I couldn't believe my, nothing more perfect than the Jonas Brothers. And it was like, surprise. Here again, I've seen so many funny tweets of, like, did Mickey Mouse buy their, like, their, the rights to their lives? Actually, you can't script anything better than the Jonas Brothers popping up here. When I, when I came up with my TikTok, it was like the first thing I saw. It was them saying, and I went, what in the world are they doing at the banana bowl? I can't. These fucking guys. Now people are saying that they think they're literally a, I was like, what are, what are those two doing up in a tree? Yeah. Now people are saying that they think the Jonas Brothers are performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. No. The, the Jonas Brothers are not performing, the Jonas Brothers, you know what they're doing performing at the banana bowl. They are not performing the Super Bowl halftime show. But okay, now second thing. Now this is going to be a hot take. Yeah. And I'm going to ruffle some banana peels here. Okay. Okay. I have to get this off my chest. Yeah. I think it is so. And don't clip this now, because I know I'm going to get a text after. Can I clip that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, you can't. Someone else is going to. Yeah. Yes. Of course. Of course. This is safe space for everyone listening and we're in here. I think it is so fucking bizarre and weird that there are grown adults on the internet that ride so hard for these bananas. Oh, I think it is so weird. You got grown ass adults getting season tickets to these dancing baseball players and riding so hard for them online in a bizarre way. I don't like it. It freaks me out. It freaks me out. If you want to take your kids to again, great. Yeah. It's given like it's kind of the Disney adult argument. Yes. Like, here's the thing. Like, if you want to take your kids. Very dizzy. Fine. Like, I think that's fun. Like an outing to go see them. I do think it's an entertaining thing. Yeah. If you are a grown adult with zero kids and you have season tickets to this of anabanas and you are online defending them with your entire being, you're fucking weird out. You're a weirdo and it's bizarre. And I don't hate you. Yeah. I just think it's really weird. And yeah, I don't know. It freaks me out. It freaks me out. I know that the like hardcore defending is different. Like, that takes it to another level to me. If you are someone that just like enjoys watching them play in the art, like, and you enjoy going to games, who, you know, no, but okay, I'm saying it's on a deeper level, though. Here's the thing with the banana bowl. I really had to do. I was googling like what exactly this was. And what was happening and all because I'm seeing these videos, I'm seeing, I'm seeing a banana thing and then I'm seeing and then all of a sudden all these other guys are popping up from other teams. I'm like, where are all these teams are coming together? I'm like, what is a banana fest? Banana fest and banana festival. Yeah, banana fest. They had a new original song. And we know I talk and have talked about Derek for a while because I think that man is so fucking talented. And I anytime he a video of him singing comes on, comes across my TikTok, I watched the whole thing because I think he is incredible. I'm a, I am a big fan of him. This whole event was really just showing to me that the bananas have gone Disney, like the bananas have gone corporate. The bananas for them. No, I'm saying I'm saying like who knew that when they started this, this is the way it would go. But now like the mouse has a hold of them. And I say positive because it's obviously bringing so many more eyeballs to them. But with that comes like a performance. Now I feel like the bananas have turned into like if you were to go to, to Disney world, like you could go to a game in Orlando and see the bananas and they, and they sing Broadway show, like they say Disney show to us at the same time. That is all thing. Now they're on Disney plus. It's all sort of making sense and then they put all these people together to have this big event. They're dancing. The Jonas Brothers are there. There was a lot of other moments too. I'm trying to think of what else, what else did I see from the banana bowl? Oh, I know, I know who I'm missing. John Cena. Oh, of course, John Cena. Of course. It was like, it was like they went down the checklist of like what do we need to do to really amp up the banana bowl? They went, George Brothers, check, John Cena, check. Where the fuck was the rock? Pentatonix performed the National Anthem, like it could not be more like, it was when Pentatonix sings the National Anthem. They had a full beauty in the beast, the cast of the Beauty and the Beast touring show came out. They did a whole performance. We needed the rock and Kevin Hart. John Cena, I know, that's really, they don't have, they must not have a Disney movie to promote right now. Oh, the rock has live action. Oh, yeah. But that's like it's, that's been already been out, you know, just saying I think they can't afford them. John Cena delivered the game ball of course. He's ready to go. Yeah, he did. I mean, he came out with a full, it wasn't just police escort. It was like he came out in a military vehicle. Classic. Yeah, it's like he's in a, he's in a, a big hammer. Who is this guy? No idea. I don't know who that yellow, who is the yellow man? Who wears all the yellow at the minute? Like, is he a, is he at all the games or is he just at this? That curious George guy. Like, is he the announcer? What's his, what's his job? And I need to know who that is. I'm going to go. Here's my thing. Is every banana game like rigged or like, are they losing games? I think they're planned out like the WWE. I don't know. But like, like, I've always had it was like the Harlem Globetrotters kind of where it's like, they're the team. Like, this is all like one kind of fake league. They're obviously the focus of it. They're going to. Oh my god. He's the owner of the team. But I've seen them like not. I've seen them like lose innings. Well, let's see. Banana Savannah. Well, they play against the party animals. Right. They're there. How many teams are there? There's a lot now. I think there's, we should start a team here. They finished their regular, the 2026 regular season with the 36 and 25 record. They're not even good. 36 and 25. They've lost 25 games. I've just, that's all I'm saying. I thought this was like set up like the WWE. Yeah, I thought they were winning every game. No, they can't win every game. That's no fun. Not win every game. But more than not. I know. But like, you know, like, the Harlem Globetrotters, they're basically winning every game. Like, I thought that's what it was. I don't think. Imagine like you're a kid being like, I can't wait to see the bananas and they lose. Yeah, but imagine if maybe you're a fan of one of the other teams, your team always loses. Oh my God. You're telling me there's fans of the normal. Yes. Wait, are the, are they not normal? They all sing and dance now. Even worse than being a fan of Savannah bananas would be being a fan of the party animals. Like, they're like, okay, first of all, let me just say fans of the other teams. I thought those were just like, like, existing in this world, just for the Savannah bananas to play against. Like, no one actually knows their names. No, no, they do. So they're doing like other teams, too. Yeah, there are the party animals, the firefighters, the Texas tailgators, the local beach coconuts, and the Indianapolis clients. I thought it would be like, the local beach coconuts are new. I got to be honest, I'm so out on these dance players. I thought they were like, the actors being like, oh, the Savannah. The game is really called banana ball. But all the other teams, there's old. Why are you yelling? Because I can't believe, I'm shocked that it was you can't believe that we can't believe that people don't know the ins and outs of the fucking dancing based on players. No, I just saying that they, but I just thought, like, yes, they play, they play real games. I don't think any, I would say if you asked any normal person in the world, they wouldn't expect these to be normal games. By the way, they're not normal. Well, they're not normal games, but they're dancing and singing. They only became, it's become so popular that they can add all these teams. Well, okay, it's going to have a strict two-hour time limit. Sorry, go back to the man in yellow. He's the owner and creator of banana ball. His name is Jesse Cole. And he famously wears a custom tailored bright yellow tuxedo to every game event in public experience. Wait, if a fan catches a foul ball in the sense of count isn't out. Yeah, there's crazy rules. By the way, these are normal games. There's no buy around. There's no walking. It's been in the ball. Fans could play, but they're normal games. Entertainment for
Now, look, it's a fly ball goes out and you just catch it normally. Does that not count? Like, you're like, oh, you didn't flip? Nope, that doesn't count. How high can you jump? There's a lot of different rules out there. I mean, some of the flips and catches are incredibly impressive. They're very talented, but let's not take away from the fact that these are very athletically talented people, but it is ridiculous. Like, to this fan of playing it is playing a real league. They play in their own dedicated professional organization I guys all I'm saying is that it's blown up to a level. BBCL. It's blown up to a level that has taken on a life of its own and it has become its own like show. It's like going to the circus. Do they have a BBCL draft? There's just, it's just going to keep getting bigger and bigger because they keep getting more and more people. And they have so many fans. And like I just said, now they got Disney on their side. Okay, similar to the Harlem Globe Trotters in basketball, the game focused on, okay, yeah, yeah. But this is different than the Globe Trotters in the fact that I guess I would like to know how many people are rooting for the firefighters and these other like the Globe Trotters to me, though, was something where there was literally no fan. Like you were the other teams had no fan. That's what I'm saying. No, I think they only had one other team they played against. Yeah, like it wasn't and the Globe Trotters, I don't even think about that. I just have to have a tell me about them playing games. I just think about them like doing tricks. Okay, okay, I was going to say how many Instagram followers I have. 248, the Texas tailgators, that's a good amount. I'm yeah, I bet I bet even more on TikTok. Oh my God. I just went to the Texas tailgators randomly. 2026 BBCL champions. They've been fucking win their own. They did even win tailgators. One champion. So those are some saying they want real competition. The Texas tailgators have almost 500,000 on TikTok. Yeah, they're probably pinging on TikTok. Well, how many Savannah, I'm shocked by all this. I did not know that there were other teams. I did not know that the Savannah bananas aren't winning. That's kind of embarrassing. The Savannah bananas have 4.4 million followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, the Texas tailgators are posting their merch. The championship merch. Stopping all over them. Like how? I need to know how many times have the Savannah bananas won this league? If it's not the most out of any, you know, it was also cracking me up. Is that when the George Brothers performed? Like I think Kevin's playing a guitar that's just like not plugged in. Oh, I mean, that's classic. Classic. You know, like I'm like, is that guitar plugged in? I don't think it is unless it's like maybe something's got it plugged. Maybe it's in his pocket or something. Oh my God, they never won. Oh my God, the Savannah bananas have never won the league. They just completed it. Well, wait, it was, this is it. No, but, but when it says the league just completed, it's inaugural 2026 season. Oh, so they had three champions and the other in their previous. Yes, like this is like, but still, that's not that great 2016, 2021, 2022. They should be winning every year. They're getting the top prospects. No one on the Texas Firefighters is going on dancing with the stars. Okay. Well, do you say now, if you just never know, there might be a ben anibal player in every season to come now. Is there like a giant pay disparity between the Savannah bananas and these other teams like the players? Listen, you're asking questions that I don't know, but I do not know the answer to. I would like to know. I'd like to know. I think these guys are making a lot of money. They might be soon, but on their own, I'm sure why are the bananas so much more famous? I just think they, they were, they were started first. They're the pioneers. Yeah. Original brand behind the banana ball. Oh, wait. Is this the guy you're talking about? Yes. Jessica. Okay. He's been working on this product for 10 years. So he's like what's Vince McMahon? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Social media. I'm, I'm, I'm, my mind is blown. We're going as the Texas tailgates for Halloween. We should. We'll each dress up for a big play like from the banana ball. Can we just like pick another team, not Savannah, but isn't become like the biggest fans of them? Yeah. I just went on a rant about how weird I think it is, but really it's just because I'm, you said Savannah. Just because on the inside I'm dying to be a humongous fan of one of these teams. I mean, we got to get to one of these games and make it our goal to, to get it out. We catch a ball. Yeah. I really was. It would be pretty sick to get it out. It is. The local beach coconuts are full of incredible athletes playing the exact same game. Uh, they are essentially playing in the house that the Savannah been in is built and beating them out. Players are happy. I'm very happy for them. Every little boy is dreamed of being a baseball player and a singer just, you know, or just a red answer. They could be on Broadway and be a baseball player. Every chat. You can do both. Every chat or Ryan. You can do both. This is like, unfair. Like the ESPN Disney plus and national news have historically focused on the bananas. Yeah. Like what about the other teams that are women? Because the bananas were first and the bananas have the biggest following. So they get the, they get featured the most. Their PR team just like is incredible because I, I really thought they were just, well, if you think about it, all these, all, all these other teams are fairly new. So they just don't have the, imagine, and who knows, maybe there'll be some, maybe they'll be a trade. No. Maybe they'll trade someone from the bananas to another team and then it's like one of these stars, they bring their star power to another team. Has there ever been a trade? That's, that's a good question. Oh, player trades do happen. Uh-huh. Imagine getting traded off the bananas. I, I, I just quit. But then you might be on the winning team. Yeah. Yeah. You know, would you rather win or be on the bananas? Oh, my, wait. So the arch rivals are the party animals. Yes. That's why I look at them. Oh, I never know. A notable pass transaction. The Savannah bananas. Traded. It's like Babe Ruth. They're first baseman, Jake Skol, directly to their arch rivals, the party animals. Classic. Oh, they're typically one of your contracts. Interesting. Interesting. Well, so what if like Jackson loses dance with, he had sent home this week, they're like, you're off the team. You're going to the party. No. They're very supportive. They're very supportive of each other. They're very, very, yeah, clearly. Yeah. After what he said about Guillermo. Yeah. It's fucked up. All right. All right. It's, it's, it's all, it's all coming together under the Disney umbrella. Like, all these teams are going to be owned by Disney. Exactly. Jesse Cole is going to sell the banana ball, banana ball league to Disney for like, a bajillion dollars. Oh, yeah. It's going to be insane. Of course. Yeah. All right. That wraps up the topics. Let's get into the weekly watch report brought to you by Chase Sapphire Preferred, friend. I feel like you're always planning your next trick. That's true. All right, let's get into the weekly watch report where we talk about the things we watch this week. We go weekly. We go out to port on Monday. On Monday, we go out to port on Monday. So right now I'm trying to balance the fact that I started Gilmore Girls while I'm trying to finish how I met her mother. So Gilmore Girls was put on pause this past week while I catch up on how I met her mother. Now I'm in the middle of season seven of how I met her mother. Yeah. Okay. Okay. There's nine seasons. Yeah. So I'll be done by Monday. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What the fuck happened here? Barney and Robin. I'm sorry. What? These? Well, I didn't know that they had this strong, listen, I know they had a little thing. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't know the feelings were that strong between the two of them. Yeah. And I just cannot buy into the fact that Barney really can be like a stamp of guy and I just don't buy into it. Yeah. So I don't know what's happening here, but they like Robin thought that she was pregnant with Barney's kid. She finds out she's not pregnant. He's actually very sad. She finds out she actually just can't have to, it was a very sad episode. Yeah. The last one, she finds out she can't have children. But now I'm like, oh, it's going out to react. Is the person Barney is marrying Robin? I am. I listen. I like a good twist, but this really shocked me. So I'm in the middle of episode season seven. I'm still very much enjoying it, though. Like I'm not mad about this. I like a good twist. I'm just kind of like what the fuck's happening. But still in A for me, still loving how much your mother is still very much entertained. Bar on HBO, Dominic West and Sianna Miller, two episodes out loving it. I've had positive things. I read the synopsis. I said, oh, this is perfect to Hollywood star getting divorced from her high profile has been based in London. Yeah. I'm like, okay. Yeah. Sign me if I got this. I got to start that. I will give this a B plus. Watch the first two episodes. It's on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. On HBO. Did you ever watch the affair? Yes, I did. Yeah. Loved the affair with Dominic West. He's always playing a cheating bastard in real life and outside because remember when he was caught with Lily James on that scooter.
- Yeah. - So he's always the cheating son of a bitch. - That's damn scooters. - Oh, those damn scooters. He's always cheating son of a bitch. But I like this and I like now having a show that I can keep up with week to week on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. An HBO show at that, right? - Yeah, right, right. In recent months, I've had trouble keeping up with a new scripted drama, but I feel like that's the summer. I always, I feel like I find it hard to watch. I don't know why, but now it's like cozy season of like, you know. - It's time to get serious. You're looking for a serious, you're looking for a serious drama. - Summer's for reality, ha ha, giggles, laughs. - Exactly, romance, exactly. But I'm, I'm very much enjoying this. I'll give it a beat plus. Gilmore Girls, I did watch like maybe three more episodes. Listen, I don't, I'm not obsessed with it, but I do enjoy it. And maybe I will become more tied to it as I watch. I'm still in the first season. I believe I watched from episodes. 'Cause what did I watch the first six? - I mean, I guess I'm up to like episode 14 now. - Yeah. - So it may be more than three episodes. I'll live at a B minus. Still. - It's enjoyable just to like have on. And animals things start to get better once. - I watched that for not better, but there's more going on as the season's going on. - Yeah, I watched a new Ben Affleck. - I heard it's terrible. - Movie, animals. - Yeah, I see them doing all the press for it. - I was like pretty engaged, although I was like on my phone also at the same time. - What's that on Netflix? - It's on Netflix. Matt was definitely more engaged than I was for it. - Yeah. - And he liked it or didn't like it. - He said he was like kind of like me. Like I mean, he was more engaged, but I think the ending, I saw other people were confused. And I was a bit confused. But I will give that a C plus. - I did giggle about Ben Affleck saying that he wanted to cast Jennifer Garner, as his wife in a new movie. And she was like, that's probably a bad idea. - Yeah. - But as she was like toxic, joined the film. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was this one, right? - Yes. - Yeah. - They were like, yeah, no. And it was like, you know what, fair. - Smart. - I thought, god, Jen Garner would be amazing for this role. - But here's the thing. I love both Carrie Washington and Ben Affleck. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - So, that's part of what drew me in. - I also laughed at people being like, I love that he has to say Jen Garner because he's been with multiple gents. - Right, he has to be very clear on what Jen he is talking about. - Yeah, so I'll give that a scene. - Oh, Matt Damon was originally supposed to start it, but then he couldn't cause the odds. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - C-plus. And I rewatched on the plane obsession and the invite, which I've already graded in the past. I wanted something to keep me engaged on the flight, so which is why I put obsession on. Like, I kind of wanted to figure like, I was on the edge of my seat. And I played it up until the very end, 'cause I thought that would be rude to do to other passengers. - Mm-hmm, that's fair. - And you were the other passenger, you were the second to see me the next time. - Yeah, yeah. And that's it, that's all I got. - Yeah, because we were obviously away all week, not a lot to watch. I did Power Ballad, which I hadn't seen on the plane. I still hadn't seen it. They very much enjoyed it. I would say, probably give it a B. - What do you think about the ending? Like, are you satisfied with that ending? - I thought the ending made sense. I thought the ending was very realistic. - Yeah, I thought that they weren't gonna do it that. I thought that was gonna be like, oh, he's a good guy, like, you know? - No, I thought the ending was very realistic and not like, over, overly, like, done, cheesy, you know, maybe he made some big admission that Paul Rudd was the one who wrote the, you know, like that, some big thing. I first feel like it was just, I actually really liked it. I thought it was very validating for him, for his daughter to find the clip and the whole thing and I thought it was very sweet. I enjoyed it. Obviously, not like too far of a reach of a role for Nick Jonas to be playing. - I feel like he was just playing himself. - Yeah. - Obviously, they used footage of his brothers when they were like, he's in a boy band. - I saw a clip that he said he's filming a rom-com. - Yeah, new rom-com. - And then he really teased hard who his co-star was. - Yeah, it was very classic. - He was like, it's gonna be, yeah. - It was from the podcast, obviously. - I saw a clip. - He was getting got by the DJ Jonas podcast. Like, who did he teased? - Well, he was just like, we just locked in our guest and he's like, let me tell you, it's gonna be good. - He was like, we just locked in my co-star. It's gonna be good. And then Joe was like, who is he? - He's like, can't tell you. - And they're like, tell us, he's like, can't tell you. - I'm gonna say Zoe Doich. Oh, that's a good guess. That's a good guess. - Lily Reinhardt. - That's another good guess, wow. - Those are like rom-com, like, attainable. - Well, those are, that's like, you know, very popular right now. - Like, we're not talking Sydney-Sweeney. - I was gonna say Sydney-Sweeney. - She's got, she's got, she's got, she's got both off-campus guys. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, she is that, by the way, that's fucking insane. Like, we're not grasping that enough. That Sydney has, she's like Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all. Both off-campus guys, she's got. - Okay, she's watching a show. I want to do movies with both those guys. - Yeah, I want both. - Yeah, both, get me both. I also watched, she was the definition of, too bad, bitches, at the same damn time. - I also watched reminders of him. Reminders of him, yes. - On the way home, which was the other Colin Hoover. What are you looking at me like that one? 'Cause I'm trying to remember not the one. You watched, I'm writing you. - Yes, okay. - Laney Wilson's in it. - I watched reminders of him. - Reminders of him. - With Rudy Pankow. I was trying to remember if that was the one that I've posted a lot of times. - I rigged with her as one of those actors and I'm like, is he real or is he AI? Where did this guy come from? - Let me tell you why he's in all these movies. - My god, is he handsome. I will actually say that the movie, you know who is also in this Lauren Grimm. I will say the performances were pretty, I thought pretty good for a objectively questionable story. You know, it's like, I don't know what the story's about. - So spoiler, it's not really a spoiler. You can kind of get it in the, she is with Rudy's character. Tyrick, whether it's Rudy's best friend and his name is Ledger and Ledger and Scotty are best friends. Kenna and Scotty get it in a car accident. And she is charged with like vehicular manslaughter, 'cause I believe they had taken like a- - And then she's faking out. - They've taken like an edible or something before and she technically like fled the scene 'cause she was trying to go for help. The whole story piece itself together, but basically at the beginning you find out, like she spent years in jail. However, when she was in jail, she did find out she was pregnant and gave birth to Scotty's child. Scotty's parents take the child, they don't want it, the child have anything to do with. The mom, she moves back after getting out and trying to have a relationship with a daughter where she meets Ledger, her now dead boyfriends best friend. - They fall in love. - Yeah. - We were just like, ooh, interesting dynamic there. It's very calling Hoover. I thought, like I said, the two of them, I thought were pretty good, all things considered. Very like, I could think I could go see C-minus. And I think I've read this book, that's up. Like there was a stage in my life after I read, I forget what, I forget what's the one that opened the floodgates for me. - It ends with us. - Maybe was it ends with us or something else where I just, like I read everything calling Hoover put out, like every, there were so many of them. And I had them all in my Kindle and I'm just like, flew through them all so fast. And I feel like this was definitely one of them. I also watched a few episodes of the Great British Breaking Show on the plane because my God is, it's just a warm hug every single time. I love watching it. Actually, what was on the plane was the last series, not the one that's currently on, 'cause I think there might be a new one on Netflix right now. But I just love that show. It's just so nice and it really, it really, really is. I came home Friday night and literally turned on, I opened Peacock and went, yes! Because all the Chicago shows are back. And we were obviously gone when they premiered Wednesday night and I forgot about it. And then when I came home, I said, oh my God. So I got to why I went med, fire, PD. That's the order I watched them in. I don't know if that's the order they air in. But that's the order I watched them in. Med fire, PD. I think I might wanna jump on the train. You could jump on right now. That's what I'm thinking. And if you have any backstory questions, I can answer that. I think I might just not really that much because it's very current. That seems like a show you could just click in with that show. You could absolutely just jump in. I might just-- 'Cause it's all different characters. I might just jump on to fire because I was kind of locked in at the nail salon. And Matthew Dodario is on this season of fire. I texted you, I said, oh my God.
And Matthew Tudario was at the Verity premiere apparently or wherever he was and we didn't see him and and you know what I'm just waiting to run into that guy. Yeah, I'm waiting to run into him. I am waiting for you to run into him too. Was he at was he at the very look up Verity? He was somewhere we were recently and Somebody messaged me that he was where we were really like on the carpet. I don't know if we were at Verity or or no Maybe maybe he was at dancing with the stars. Oh, I think people said he was at dancing with the stars He was at because no, but I think he was there the week after us because he was there in the crowd with Harry Shum Oh, he was at dancing with the stars. He went the week after us That was the week. Are you sure and that was not the same week? Oh, oh no, it was that week. Because they was the same week Yes, he was at the Verity premiere. He was at dancing with the stars with Harry Shum on the same night because they were on what show together That's all coming out. Yes, somebody messaged and said yes. Oh My god, how did we miss him? I don't know He is a handshake. Oh hunter shadow hunters. Yes, they were in shadow hunters. Yes, so Chicago fire. I think he he's a new He's like a new trainee. I'm really happy for him to get into another program. Yeah. Yeah, it's been some time and I can't believe it. I can't believe it. It was a star like we didn't see him also like where was he sitting? I don't know He didn't have a world. I know, but we were like really looking around You were and and I would hope that I would remember a past friend. Yeah in person. He would never remember me I think he would if you reminded him like maybe not see it now I didn't see because I'm a grown woman now exactly the last time you remember me. I don't remember 12. Yeah, exactly I think you were like, hey, that was me in that class. I think he'd be like yeah, he'd like Yeah, yeah, right, right, right. Oh Yeah, I can't believe we missed him. I'm so pissed now. So so pretty pretty good premieres all around metal go with the metal go be fire B plus PD C plus PD used to be really top of the game for me, but I it's just Falling off a little bit. I'm not as invested into these characters as I have in previous seasons Fire what I mean Big situation from the finale to this downtown. I'm gonna. I'm gonna watch I will I won't read now and Same with Matt. I mean Mike I was Sharon's fighting for a life out there in meds She runs the D. They they want her fired how would she can't be fired the whole place with all apart without her and Pax and how you she does got a little beard going. He looks good. Oh Yeah, yeah, yeah, nice And I watched the first episode of the Kardashians. I put it on Saturday night and I was Feeling a little tipsy. So I don't really I don't really remember watching like I couldn't tell you everything that happened in the episode But I did press play on it. I did too. I watched it last night and I could tell you exactly what happened Okay, they had the weirdest intro of all time. I did see the intro just on social. I saw the AI intro was the weirdest shit Yeah, I've seen in quite some time it was also like what's the message you're sending here because you're not using AI But you're using AI to make this message or not using AI and then also It was entirely too long Yeah, it was really long and it was creepy. I actually when I put it on I fast-forwarded through all of it because I watched the whole thing when it was posted on social It was an extremely boring first episode. Yeah, we had Courtney talking about Jennifer Lawrence Landon failed his driver's test um before he even drove. He just just the initial Tell me where the things are. No, no, oh, which I didn't even do I didn't do for I don't know if you did this like They used it in the car and they is verbal test and they tell you to point out where everything is Like where's the emergency brake where that like every car is different. I don't know. I didn't do that I just got on the street and drove so he failed before he even got on the street and drove and then Kim and Chloe came they played a prank on Kim where they put a bunch of stuff from the pleasure Pleasure section of the hotel into her bag because she was doing a what's in my bag. Then they called and said you know They put it on Chris Jenner's they put it on Chris Jenner's card and then Chris Jenner was like yeah, I obviously get more action than Chloe Right, right, right, right Chloe any like a dead person you would have to be dead to get less action than Chloe does Yeah, Chloe talking about, you know her Sex like yeah, and so it was honestly a very boring first episode in my honest opinion I'm just gonna give it a I will give it a see-mine Okay, and I also want to change animals to a see-not a see-plus But Kardashian get to see my instruments to be honest. I don't I really don't think I can grade it because everything Do you just said I don't remember it? Oh, I think I know I think I must have fallen asleep probably I mean it was so boring Yeah, I wouldn't blame you for falling asleep. It's incredibly boring. Don't recall Um, I'm a little behind on Salt Lake City the last episode I watched was when they were getting to San Francisco for their trip for See Patrick's Day And I think I'm a couple episodes behind on Roni as well Me too, and I think that's everything I watch I still haven't finished lanterns And there's a lot of other things I gotta pick up, but that's that's everything I watch this week I literally have one thing I didn't watch anything. I spent the whole week like re-evaluating my But I watched this the first two episodes of this new show on Netflix with Josh Harnett Yeah, oh below. Yeah, which honestly the first two I was locked in. I was like this is good and it's the whole season out Or is it just the whole season so and I mean, there's some good actors. We got um Charm from McKenzie Davis is good and Josh Harnett's good. Honestly, the the accent threw me off like Oh, what kind of accent I would say like I want to say I might be wrong, but it's definitely like Irish or Scottish or like one of those But it was like jarring it for himself. I was like, whoa Um, but yeah, I'm locked in. It's like it got a little widow's band there. Yeah, in it Uh, yeah, I was just so mad at himself. He like put himself in time out No, I watched it TV. He's like you're not allowed to watch any TV until you until you sell all these tickets I got what that's like when you can't stop thinking about something you can't No, I can't like enjoy other stuff. Yeah, no, I got it and even this weekend I'm like I was home on the cape and I'm sure that my parents are like I was on my phone because I'm just like I'm messaging all these people. I got all these offers could not think about one other. Hey, it is your birthday week though Your birthday is on Thursday. Yeah. Yeah, it is Can you believe it? Yeah, I mean, how could you possibly top 30? No, no, I mean after 30 I literally was every birthday probably You know, what's ever gonna come close to 33? It's all downhill from 30 And I feel like people always say that anyway. It's like you hit them big ones like eight orable for Myself being Jewish. It's like 13 I mean, I guess 15 would be like a big one 16th big for everyone you get to drive then 18 20 year in your 20s 21 then it's like after that. It's like 30 and then it's just every decade. Yeah, so it's all downhill Hey, oh, I'm not a big. I've never been a big birthday guy Saying saying you're not a big birthday guy compared to last year No, I know I know you mean it's just like hilarious justice position. I'm not a big birthday guy No, we just show every time we celebrate your birthday last year. It's just funny. We had a sign. We had a 30 No, you actually kept that up the entire 30th birthday was your entire personality for a year. So yeah, yeah Which is why last year what I think we had gotten yeah, we got back like today or yesterday So I had a few days where I was literally like I mean, it's that was it like mm-hmm. I'm not celebrating my breath this year like you know Go to dinner around Thursday Maybe do some stuff for the weekend, but like I'm not not that guy I'm not that guy. There's no third. There's no list. I'm not celebrating a list Yeah John John Mayors birthday's on Friday. So I I will celebrate and thank God that I got this ticket situation Because you would not eat you would have ruined John's birthday for you You would have ruined all like my weekend. It would have ruined your birthday and John's birthday big This is last year in his 40s. Oh, 49 holy shit Why do you say it like that last year in his 40s? Yeah, the big 50 next year All right, that wraps up everything we watch this week. I don't know if I gave my grade. Oh, sorry Did you give a grade?
