This morning I want to talk to you about our value systems, because we believe for a move of God, yes? We believe that God is going to bring and God is going to send, first of all God is going to send before He brings. Who is He going to send? He's going to send us before He brings into the church. But a lot of what we do and how we see our sending is dependent upon what we see our values to be. So if you open your Bible at Mark chapter 11 verse 17, we see the story that everybody knows where Jesus went into the temple and He said to them, He turned over the tables and He said, "You have made the house of prayer or a den of robbers." Yes? So why was this so important? Why did Jesus turn over the tables there? Because actually in those days of the Bible, that was a common thing. To have all the stores that were selling stuff when the people came in. I think my opinion is, is that people got so used to what they were doing that they forgot who Jesus was and the reverential fear of the presence of God in the house. Amen? And that's why He said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer and you have made it a den of robbers." So I believe that anything that we give value to, the power will determine the power that will flow out of us. So let me use an example. If I was to come in here and before you call the police, I do not have it, but if I was to come in here with a bag of cocaine, I don't have any, okay? And I would say to you here, I've got 10 grams of cocaine. What will you do for that 10 grams of cane? I hope and pray that everybody in this church would say, "It is of absolute no interest to me." Why? Because you don't hold any value to a white powder. But I take that out on the street to a drug addict and I say, "I've got a bag of cocaine. What will you do for that? They would sell their own soul to have that bag because of the value that they put into what they see the power that flows out of that when they take those drugs." Of course, it's a wrong power, but it's the value that they are putting to that powder. So let me ask you, what value do we put to the blood of Jesus? We sing the blood of Jesus that washes white of snow. There's power, power, wonder-working power in the blood of Jesus. And we sing it, but do we actually put the power to that and describe our attention to that? And the value so that we see that power, power, wonder-working power. So whatever you ascribe value to will be the power that flows through that. Now, in John chapter 4 verses 7 to 9, we see the story of the woman at the world. Just quickly go there with me. John chapter 4 and verse 7 to 9. When the Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" His disciples had gone into town to buy food. The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink? For Jews do not associate with Samaritans." And in verse 10, Jesus said to her, "If you knew the gift of God who asked you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." So Jesus, first of all, put value to the Samaritan woman at the world. Just stay with me. I'm going somewhere with this. So just hang with me. He put value to the Samaritan woman at the world. He realizes he's stepping over the boundaries of what should have been happening in the culture. Why? Because he valued that woman. And maybe we need to understand that the value of a lost soul requires that sometimes we need to step over the barriers of our own inhibitions, our own cultures, our own mindset to reach that one lost soul that was sitting at the well. And the Samaritan woman recognized who Jesus was and says, "Why do you ask me for water? You know what the law is. You are not allowed supposed to be talking to me." But Jesus sees beyond that. Why? Because he sees the value of a lost soul. And what does he do? He then says, "If you knew the gift." And today I want to ask you that question, "Do you know the gift of God that is in this house? Do you know the gift of God that is in your spirit? Because if you do, maybe, or if we understood in a different way, we would have a different desire and burden to do and to step out and to reach the lost for Jesus." It's very quiet. Amen? And what does he say to her? He doesn't condemn her. He says, "If you knew the gift that was right in front of you, you would ask him to give you a drink and he would give you what? What would he give you? Living waters." So what is Jesus saying? "If you will respond with the eye of the value of the cross in everything that we do, when you ask Jesus and you ascribe power to the very thing of communion that we took this morning, the blood of Jesus and you ask Jesus to work through you. You are effectively giving that person your ministering to not just a taste in a cup of water. You have the potential to allow those living waters that the Bible talks about, to flow out of you into that situation. But we don't understand the value of Christ in us, the hope of glory." And so we're going to look a little bit at what the value system is. If you can identify the gift that God has placed within you, then and only then you can place a demand on it. You cannot place a demand on something you don't know about. So if your gift is worship, if your gift is serving, if your gift whatever your gift is, you are able then to place the demand of what heaven has because that is what God has placed within you. And that's why your gift is got nothing to do with anybody else's capability, but your own surrender to the value of the power of the blood of Jesus. And that's why we can never compare each other. People say to me, "Oh, you're not like Susette. You can say, "Thank God, we don't need Susette." Don't tell her, I said that. I'll be looking for a job again. I think I'm the most hired and fired person at voice in the city. Although I started it, I don't know how she can fire me. I said, "How can you fire me?" Five minutes later, she needs something doing on a computer, I'm reinstated. But the point is, we live in a life of comparison all the time. If only you would look to who Jesus is and not to who everybody else wants you to be, you will flow in a new anointing. Stop praying for a new anointing. Start walking in it because the moment you understand that the power of Jesus has that power and has that the value to reach every single need that you have and that your community has and that your home has, why? Because it's the power and only the power of the blood of Jesus. And if we don't understand that, if we stand and we take communion and we drink that cup and you don't understand the eternal value that you are associating with, you miss the purpose of what God has for you. So what will happen with all of that? Jump quickly with me to 2nd Kings. 2nd Kings, chapter 4. We all know this story. And so today you're going to hear another sermon on that story. And it's the story of the widow's oil. The wife of the man came from the company of the prophets and cried out to Elijah. Your servant, my husband is dead. You know that he revered the Lord, but now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as slaves. Elijah replied to her, "How can I help you? Tell me what do you have in your house? Your servant has nothing there at all," she said, "except a little oil." Elijah said go and ask all your neighbors for implementation. jobs. Don't just ask for a few, then go inside, shut the door behind you and your sons and pour the oil into all the jobs and as each one is filled, put one to the side, put them to the side. She left an afterwards, shut the door behind her and her sons and they brought jobs to her and she kept pouring. When all the jobs were filled, she said to her son, "Bring me another one." But he replied, "They are no more jobs left, then and only then the oil stopped flowing." She went and told the man of God and he said, "Go sell the oil, pay your debts and you and your son will live on what is left." So what do we see here? I want to talk to you today, your value systems. Your value systems will affect your actions. What you value will affect your actions. This woman is in a desperate crisis and she goes to the prophet, the man that she knows who her husband served, but she wants to stand behind that which her husband did because what does she say? She goes and she says, "Elijah, my husband, who was your servant, who served you is dead." She doesn't go on her own merit. She goes to Elijah with the understanding that he will help her because her husband served the prophet and many of us stand in exactly that same place. Many married couples stand behind either the husband or the wife. Amen? Oh, I'm not going to do it because my husband is the one that's called. Oh, I'm not going to do it because that's my wife's anointing. And we can get into the place where the enemy will keep us bound in one thing simply because we don't see that the value is not on somebody else. The value is on who you are. And so she goes and she says to him, "My husband is gone. And now I've got this crisis. She's in a desperate need. Her crisis is very real. The fact of the matter was her husband was probably what we would call today the breadwinner, yeah? So he was the one who made the money. He was the one that brought it in everything else. Now he's gone. And now she's left to fend for herself. In one way, I fully understand her thinking. To go and to say to Elijah, you know what? He served you. Everything our lives was about serving you. I fully understand that. But at the same time, that woman didn't understand the value of her identity herself. And many of us live in a church where we have wonderful anointing, where we have wonderful outreach, where we have wonderful events and you don't understand the value that God has on you as an individual. We are the body of Christ, made up of hands, feet, eyes, elbows, knees. Whatever you are, you need to be in there. And we need to start understanding the value that we have. So she approaches Elijah and now listen to this very carefully. She approaches Elijah in an attempt to protect that which she still had and not to protest over what she lost. She approached Elijah in the attempt to protect what she still had. What did she still have? She had her sons. She had the debt. That's what she had. What had she lost? She had lost to husband. So she had this dilemma. What is she going to do? But sometimes what we lose, sometimes over shadows, that which God has already given to you as a tool to carry on. And I often say we can ask God for what we want and in the midst lose what we have. Because we're so busy wanting something more that's not God's plan and you lose the very purpose and the very thing that God has placed within your heart. So she's not going to him and saying to him, listen, this is my need, but the thing is I'm protecting what I have left. And sometimes we all face disasters in our lives. We all face curveballs. We all have things that don't go the way that we are planned. Yes? And what do we do? Most the time. We walk away and we see it as a failure. Yeah? Where God sees it as His opportunity to protect that which you still have within you. And what do you have within you? When all hell is against you, what do you have within you? You have the Word. You have Jesus. You have the Holy Spirit. You have your calling. You have your identity. You have everything that Heaven offers you. And yet you'd walk away from that because of disappointment. When Jesus is saying, what do you value? Because what you value will affect your actions in every situation, in every difficulty. Maybe sometimes we need to stop and think, wait a minute, before I make a radical decision, what actually are the consequences of what I'm going to do? Holy Spirit, in light of where you are taking me, even if it means the journey is still difficult, will you choose it because of the purpose of God in you? I've had many curveballs in my life, many times where I didn't want to carry on with ministry anymore, accusations, betrayal, disappointment, where I didn't want to carry on with ministry anymore. And I could have made a decision and said, well, I'm out of here. But I valued still that which Jesus spoke into my heart 41 years ago. I have anointed you to preach the gospel. He didn't say I've anointed you when it's easy. He didn't say I've anointed you when it's comfortable. He didn't say I've anointed you when it goes everywhere. He says in every situation, if you will value the calling in your life, you will see the power that will flow out of that. And I had to get myself together and I had to fight with my own thought life and I had to fight with my own inferiority and I had to stand and say, God, I really don't want to be here today. But because I believe in the value of the power of the blood of Jesus that is able to break every chain that is able to set the captive free, that is able to heal because of the blood of Jesus and nothing else, I will stand and preach the gospel. It doesn't matter how I feel. It matters what you do through me. So what are your actions being affected by? The second thing that we see, what you value will affect your relationships. The miracle did not come itself. The miracle that the woman had valued the relationship her husband had had with Elisha. Elisha valued the relationship of the husband too. But what happened? In the time of crisis, she looked to that relationship for what? For advice. And it's good and fine that we all have people that we could look to. It's very important to have Godly advice, especially when you're in a crisis situation. People that understand you, not people that are going to tell you what you want to hear. Because that's not good advice. If I go to somebody with a crisis and I know in my heart, I want the answer to be A, and I know that if I go to this person, they will tell me A, but if I go to Rachel, she's going to tell me B, and I don't want to know what B is because I want to just do A. So what have I done? I've already made my mind up before I hear from the Holy Spirit. So she's not complaining about his life. She's complaining about what is left behind. Her children were her responsibility at that moment in time. So no matter what difficult we go through, who are our children? The lost, the inheritance, our inheritance. You maybe don't see them as children. But in this context, that woman, her main thing was if I don't sort out the situation, my children will be gone. That was her inheritance. And I wonder how much the burden of the Holy Spirit is upon us that if I don't contend for the lost of the world, will it even really bother me if they go to hell? Because it's contending for the lost, it's contending for the unsaved, it's contending for the needing, it's contending for the hurting. And if we're not prepared to do that, we don't understand the power of the blood of Jesus. Because then we try to do it in our own strength. What you value will affect your approach to things. She was desperate in distress and willing to cry. She could have right at this moment turned against God and said, "As a family we served you, now you've taken the breadwinner of the family." Notice she comes to Elisha for advice and not a handout. I'll just have a drink on that one. How many of us come to God? Not just to hear what he says, but we want to see his hand and we want him to do what he wants. We want him to do before he's actually dealt with our heart. And we treat him like a handout. And we even say things, "Lord, I've been serving you so long. God, this is the way you're going to treat me." Seriously? Amen. It's true. I mean, you just need to look at Elisha and Elisha. And Moses, they all had the emotional meltdowns. Moses even said, "God, when He's taking the children out of Exodus into the promise that, if this is how you treat, going to treat me, kill me." He said an emotional meltdown. We all get two points that are real in our lives. And we have to accept the reality, but we don't have to live in the consequences of the reality without involving the power of the cross. That is the difference between you and the world, because we value the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. And if you value it, you will walk it, walk in it, and work in it, and try to understand it in every situation. And it is a learning process. What you value will affect your thoughts. Your thought process will be governed by what you value. She valued Elisha's words over the thoughts of her own heart and mind. She said to her, "You know what, what if you got in the house?" And she could have said to him, "Elisha, you're not reading the situation very well." It's the relevant what I've got in my house. My situation right now is that my husband is dead. I've got a load of debt, and the time the customs were that if they is not paid, they are coming to take my son. What good is it asking me what I have in my house? I need a real answer. And how many times does God give us answers? And we turn around and say, "God, just give me a real answer." That can't be for real. You can't seriously mean that. So he says to "What do you mean, what if you got in the house?" So she has to think, "Well, I don't have anything," she says first of all. Her first response was nothing. And sometimes that's the first response when God challenges us in a situation where He wants to take you to the next dimension. And sometimes we stand on the brink of the next dimension. And when God asks us, "What do you have to give?" Our answer straight away is we cancel out what God wants to do and we say, "Nothing." And actually, I think sometimes that's an insult to the Holy Spirit if we're really born again, children of God. Because there's never been a time in my life, in 41 years, that I serve God, that I've been through difficult things, up the valleys, down the mountains, never been a time where I could turn around and say, "I have got nothing." I always had something. Even if it was minute, it was always something. And yet we push the Holy Spirit out of the door of our heart because what our need is bigger than what we think we have in order to solve our problem. He was asking her, "Look in your house. In your house is the solution. Look what you have because what you have is enough for the need." But she didn't recognize that. And sometimes, we, our thought process, is so contrary to what the Holy Spirit wants to do. Sometimes our obedience is so contrary to what the Holy Spirit is expecting us to do because we try to think everything up here with this gray matter. Sometimes I wish I had a key just to switch it off. Don't you? Yeah? Turn off for five minutes. But it doesn't work like that. That's why it's so important when the Bible says, "Renew your mind." Renew your mind. Renew your mind. Renew your mind. Why? Not because it's an exercise, because when you get into the situation like this video, renew your mind so that your thoughts and the value on what you're thinking will produce that which what God has. And then the battle becomes a whole lot easier. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts yet we try to put God in this little box. We try to fit him in our intellectual and yet we read that scripture, "My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. My ways are higher than your ways." And we don't understand the context of it. We're not parrots. We don't need to parrot the word of God. We need to speak it and believe it and put the value of the cross to it. So she could have become bitter. She could have become angry. She would have had every single right to do that. And there's things that happen in our lives where you visit them. We think I've got the right to be responding the way I'm responding. When I was accused, I thought I've got the right to be angry because actually you're trying to destroy me with something that is an untruth. And so we justify our thought process in order to have a self-protective mechanism for our emotions and our feelings because it goes about me. Instead of looking at the bigger picture, Lord, if I don't push through this and if I don't trust you to take me through this, how many people's lives may never be changed because my disobedience at this spot? That's where we're at. We believe God from move of God in the city, yes? Yes? How much are you prepared to see the value of who you are for this city? Because God will send you as the value of the kingdom of God. How much of God will you ascribe to the move of God in this city? And how much will you give yourself to be part of it? How much of our thought life is governed by what we see and what we hear? She could have had unforgiveness in her heart. One of the greatest things that will keep you out of the move and the place that God has you is unforgiveness. What is forgiveness? The Bible said to Jesus, "How many times must I forgive?" And he came very smartly and thought, "If I say to Jesus, maybe seven times Jesus will have compassion on me." And he says, "Forget your seven times." He says, "Seventy times seven." Why? Because forgiveness is a continual process of growth. And many of you sit with hurts in your heart, with families, with church members. Some of you even feel hurt by God. And because of that, you allow unforgiveness even towards the things of God. And you wonder why we don't see the breakthrough. It's time to clean up house. It's time to put our lives in the spotlight of the Holy Spirit and in the light of the blood of Jesus. Amen? What you value will change your focus. If your value is seeing the power of the blood of Jesus, you will see the lost and use every opportunity. Your focus will be solely on seeing what God can do in and through you. And so when she said to Elijah, "I don't have anything in the house." He didn't then say to her, "Oh, I'm really sorry. Let me call the church Ben 11 fund and let me see if there's some money in the kitty that we can help you with." He didn't say that. He said, "What did he say? You go and look." He sent her back to the source of her greatest need because there she would find the well of the greatest provision. And sometimes the source of your greatest need and your greatest pain and your greatest heartache and your greatest disappointment will become the source of the greatest victory and the greatest outpouring and the greatest healing and the greatest financial blessing because that's who God is. But you need to look what you have. We belittle everything we have because we live a life of comparison. Go and look. The woman was distressed. She wasn't going, "Okay, sure thing, Elijah, thanks for the advice." She was [BLANK_AUDIO] stressed, imagine they're coming to get your kids. And then this prophet doesn't say to you, "I'll give you a way out." He says, "You go back to your home where the problem is, where they're coming, and you look and you find something." We're always wanting somebody else to take us by the hand to lead us to where what we need to find. The greatest victory in your life will be when you find your true potential in the power of the Holy Spirit. You have to find it. No prophet can tell you it. The prophet can confirm it. But you have to get to that place where you value so much Jesus in you that nothing else matters. You go look what you have. And then Jesus, well actually I remember I have a few, a little bit of oil, but it's only a little bit. Even then she's still belittling what she has. Even then she doesn't say to him, "Oh Elijah, you know what, I do have some oil." No, her focus is I have a little bit of oil. What is it? Negativity, negativity, negativity. Let's be honest. And how much of our prayer life is passive aggressive? How much of our prayer life is negativity? Passive, aggressive. Search your heart. I've only got a little bit of oil. And basically she's saying, "Come on guy, you know a little bit of oil is not going to help me in the situation." And that's exactly where the power of the Holy Spirit steps in. When we think you are not able, and sometimes God has to get us to that place where your ability is now zero. You can do nothing to fix your situation. Why? Because at the greatest source becomes your greatest dependency to see the greatest move of the Holy Spirit in your life. Amen? And then he says to her, "So you've got the oil." So what you value will chart your course. She says, "Yes, I've got oil." So he says to her, "All right, this is what I want you to go to do. I don't want you to go home." He says, "Go to your neighbors." He's now directing the women in her need into her community. And so many times in our need, the last place we want to go is the community. And he's now sending her with the problem that hasn't been solved. She's only got a little bit of oil. And now he's sending her to face the community with her difficulty. And what is she to do? She's to ask the community for empty jaws. She's not to ask them, "Have you got money? Have you got oil? Have you got bread? Can you help me?" He's to ask, "Have you got some empty jaws?" The empty vessels represent your community outside this church. And in your greatest time of need, and in your greatest time where you think you don't have anything, the Holy Spirit is saying to you, "You want revival? Then go and get the vessels. Go and find the empty vessels. Go and find the broken souls. Go and find the drug addicts. Go and find the businessmen. Go and find the housewives. You go into the community with a little bit of oil that you have. But we want the bakery and we want the oil refinery and we want the fishery and we want the bank account before we move." And Elijah says, "What you value will chart your course. What you value will give you direction in life. What you value will make the way or open the door for you. Go and get those empty vessels." And then he said, "You and your sons go into the house and you close the door. And what do you do? You take what you have and begin to pour it into those vessels." He didn't say, "When you put the empty vessels there, a miracle is going to happen. They're all going to be filled at the same time." No. Even in the place of fetching those empty vessels, that woman still had to believe that the little that she had was going to be something that would fill the emptiness in front of her. Can you imagine what she must have thought and what the sons must have thought? They look at the little oil and she says the son bring all of the vessels and all of her house in the room is all these empty vessels and they look at that little bit of oil and they think this is impossible. But she had to respond against every critical voice in her head, against every fear, against every doubt, against everything that could stop her doing what the promise of God was. But her focus was, "I heard the voice of the prophet." I heard the voice of the prophet. And when you are in your situation, which voice are you hearing? Jesus is the prophet of our lives. Jesus is the one who speaks direction in our lives. Jesus is the one that when we stand there and we say, "Lord, I am nothing." John the Baptist had it so right. He said that I might become nothing so that you can become something. I must become smaller. And we see that as humility, yes, it's humility, but sometimes understanding that the very insolency, my new thing that you have in your life, has the power to change the destiny of somebody else. Amen? I learned this in a very interesting way. I told you I have a 24-year-old son now. He's not 24. When he was about two, he traveled all around the world with us. He came to all the meetings. He's been in Asia so many times. In fact, I think he's more Asian than he is German. He loves all the Asian food and he sambles and all of that stuff. Not my thing, sambles. Asian food, grazed, but padas, padas. No, thank you. So he was about maybe one and a half two. He couldn't really talk yet. And I had put a stereo in his room and I would let his song music and everything play in his room. So he would always play with his toys and they'd always be worship music. And one day, Susette called me and she was going through a really difficult trouble time. So I went downstairs so that Matthew couldn't hear and I prayed with Susette and I spoke with Susette and everything was fine. Well, it wasn't fine. The conversation was ended. His situation was still the same. And I went upstairs and I was like, Lord, what can we pray? How can we pray to break this this attack, to break this heaviness? What is the key? And sometimes you might pray that over your families, what is the key? And I walked up into Matthew's bedroom and I stood at the door. And as I stood in the doorway of his bedroom, there was like the presence of the Holy Spirit in his room. I couldn't walk past the door. I stood there in all of what was happening and I was too afraid to move. And the Holy Spirit said he is the key. So I stood watching. And all he did with that Hosanna music was he was in his baby language and every now and then he calls Susette Oma. Every now and then I heard the word Oma, Oma, Oma, Oma. He was praying. And the presence of God was in that place. And then after what was maybe 40 seconds, he got up and he switched the music off and he went back to play with Bob the Builder. Susette called me. She said, what just happened? I said, what do you mean? She said all of a sudden that broke over me. I said, Matthew, just prayed. What was the key that the Holy Spirit was telling me? The simple things of faith. The simple prayer of faith. I had just prayed for five minutes, rebuking every devil under heaven. I was exhausted. And then I got up to my son's bedroom and the Holy Spirit says, this is the key. And I learned such a lesson to understand whatever I value. I will put my attention to. And so this woman was there. Her sons were there. And now she begins to pour the oil. Her situation has not yet changed. She has had to [BLANK_AUDIO] Proactive with everything that she did not knowing whether this was going to work or not She hadn't seen this before nobody had seen this she couldn't go on the past and say oh yeah last time it worked as well This was a brand new Experience for this woman. Yes So she couldn't go on the experience of the past and so she goes in there her situation Still hasn't changed. She's pouring the oil the situation still hasn't changed They're still coming to get her sons the oil has been poured into the jaws They're still coming to get her sons. The situation hasn't been changed Why because God is not an instantaneous God that he just when we click a button he operates God is a God of process in our lives and the woman had to trust with every jaw that she filled that There was a purpose for her doing that Every life that you touch with the oil of the Holy Spirit will have purpose in the kingdom of God The point is are you prepared to give what you have and pour out what you have and Value the lost like never before and the oil continued and continued and continued we don't know how many vessels she had But something taught me that when she was pouring that in front of her sons What you value will flow into the next generation What are you valuing to pass on to your generation? This woman was passing on the experience and the power and the value that she knew in front of the next generation What are we putting in front of our next generation? What are we showing them? What are we teaching them? How are we leading them? How are we teaching them to to walk in the things of the Holy Spirit? It's our job We are the people to reach the generations You look at me as I've just came off the moon It's true if you don't reach your generation Somebody else will and it won't be somebody that will bring them into faith and you lose your inheritance because of your laziness I say it very quietly because you are lazy Just so that you don't get offended Ouch What is the value that you have for the next generation and What are you allowing to flow out of your life to touch that generation? It doesn't have to be a meeting. It doesn't have to be a conference. It has to be discipleship It has to be you know what I see you're a little bit sad today. What's up? Oh, let me pray for you Invest into them show them, but we don't even value our young people sometimes We don't even value the next generation may God forgive us Seriously, I mean that may the Holy Spirit forgive us That we get so involved in ourselves That what we have we don't allow to flow into the next generation So she was involving her sons with all of this oil pouring And then she says to them okay everything's full bring me another vessel And their answer is mom we've been through the whole community There is not one more empty jar Well, if we could stand in this church and say we've been through the whole community There's not one more lost soul Because the empty jars represent the lost There's not one more left Soul that we can pour into because we've seen how God has provided and how we have been Into the generations The choices ours What you value will create your destiny And what did she say she went back and she told the man of God we've done what you said And then only then After all of that time of obedience Getting empty jars doing something crazy something that had never been done before Trusting the word of a man Elisha that she she knew her husband trusted and we have to learn to trust the voice of the Holy Spirit And after all of that was done The problem was still the same. They're still coming to get her sons She goes back to the original place where she presented her problem That place where she got her answer and she goes back and she says I've done what you said And what does the man of God say now you go and sell that pay your debt Live off the rest God will always provide Over and abundantly if we will be obedient to the very last point Your debts are paid he just didn't cover the debt You and your sons will live for for that. So you will What you value will create your destiny? So let me ask you today What do you have in your house? Maybe you've got money. Maybe you've got a stack of bills Maybe you've got broken relationships. I don't know what your house looks like And to be honest, it's none of my business today. It's the business of the Holy Spirit It's for you to recognize what do I have in my house. This is the house of God This is where I put my value systems. This is where I allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me So maybe we need to look into what we have and take stock of what the Holy Spirit has actually given us Instead of always moaning that we want more Take stock of what the Holy Spirit has given you and ask yourself Am I even using what God has blessed me with? We want more but we don't use what we have So why should God give us and trust us with more if he can't trust us with what he's given us now Amen can I have the worship team back please? So I want to ask you this morning What do you value? Let's stand What do you value? What have you got in your house? What are you not doing? What is your value system not affecting? How do you see Jesus and the Holy Spirit in your life? And I will ask people not to move around now. Don't leave. I'm not going to keep you long Please don't don't move around. This is a holy moment Let's honor the presence of God and let's honor what the Holy Spirit is going to do in life today I'm not going to take long But I want to ask you today and please don't talk among each other I'm going to ask you today Do you really believe that that which God has in your life can affect Your community and then I want you to ask yourself another question Am I really prepared to be the person that pulls out that which God has given me Into every soul until there is no more empty vessel That's commitment And you might be doing missions you might be doing all of these things in the church you might be doing all of that To be honest, it's wonderful that you do it in the church, but today I'm interested When it's just you and Jesus today I'm interested when it's just you the child of God Not you the pastor not you the worship leader not you the the helper not you the one who does the coffee none of that What about just you and Jesus? Maybe tonight today we need to get back to that place where we say Lord We've not ascribed The power that you've given us through the birth of Jesus for that which you've called us for right here in our city And I just want to take a few minutes to pray for you if you say this morning Lord. I need to make a fresh commitment To be that person To stop looking for the handouts and stop looking for a reason why not and to start looking at what I have in my my heart And so Holy Spirit I ask that you you show that to me just quickly raise your hand so I can pray for you Everywhere And everywhere you know God can deal with an honest heart And there's no shame to recognize our shortcoming So father today you see every heart that is in this place Lord you see the potential that you have for every life Father, I want to thank you that the blood of Jesus It's powerful enough To use them in whatever situation they are they are are in, because there is power in the blood of Jesus. And there is power in the finished work of the cross. And there is power in the name of Jesus. And so Lord, I pray for every person here this morning, who's raised their hands as a signal to say, Holy Spirit, just help me. Holy Spirit, help me to be that person that you can pour through into my community. Help me to be that little bit of oil that I keep giving and giving. And so that as I give you ref replenish, as I give you refill, as I give you enlarge, as I give you extend, as I give you stretch, as I give. And so father, I come and I say, I give who I am to you today, Holy Spirit. I give who I am so that I would give that you would give back for the purpose of giving. And Lord, I pray for that in this church. I pray for the destiny of this church. Lord, I pray that you have placed this church for touch of time as this, but I pray we don't miss the destiny of God. Oh, Holy Spirit, I pray we don't miss the destiny of God. So stir our hearts to understand that you are in control. Even when it doesn't look like it, be that oil that flows in the city. May this church be known as the church that flows into the community. The oil, the living water, may people know that when they've come in contact with you, they have sensed the presence and the destiny of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, not that we build a big church and not that we build a name for the church, but that your name is glorified Jesus. That people are brought to the power of the Holy Spirit. And I thank you for that. And those of you that have lifted your hand, you just asked the Lord to help you.
