JuJu Gotti's Atlanta Dream Are Title Bound! | Postgame Show

The discussion centers on several major stories missed or underreported in the NFL and broader sports coverage. Justin Herbert’s offensive performance is highlighted as one of the worst in modern NFL history, with only 82 net passing yards in a game—among the lowest in a decade—mirroring similarly poor performances by the Eagles. This raises questions about offensive competence and player performance. A central ethical concern involves sports journalism, particularly reports from Shafter, who leaked trade rumors about Marvin Harrison Jr. and injury speculation on Jaden Daniels without initial disclosure. These leaks significantly influenced fantasy football strategies and prediction markets, sparking debate over journalistic responsibility and transparency. Other points include Dre Greenlaw’s helmet incident, which suggests possible emotional or mental lapses during play, and Oregon’s strong but inconsistent record, which challenges traditional rankings. Additionally, the WNBA Finals face logistical issues, with the Atlanta Dream’s games potentially held in under-capacity venues, undermining fan access despite their historical significance. The conversation also touches on the subjective nature of great catches—such as Trey McBride’s—highlighting how such moments are often dismissed due to context and lack of lasting impact. Ultimately, the discussion underscores a broader critique of how information flows in sports media and how it influences fan behavior, fantasy decisions, and public perception.

There are only 139 things that I did not get to today and list the chargers having 82 net passing yards yesterday. It's fewer than any single game over the last 10 seasons. That's the worst passing game you will ever see from an NFL on offense in the modern age, the one led by Justin Herbert. The Eagles have one with like 68 net passing yards the other day. That was terrible too. It was. It was less than 82. It was not less than 82. 82 was the lowest number that there's been in 10 years in the sport. So whatever it was that the Eagles had, it was not less than 82. That's as bad and that is as offensive a football game as a good quarterback can play if you use offensive as something that would offend and make you throw up in your mouth because it's no one. Justin Herbert is dead last in the NFL and expected points per play, expected points added per play. He's behind Kim Ward. Behind the Titans and the Eagles. Yes. Juju is here to tell us of the assortment of things we've missed. I've got 133 things here that are still here. So maybe I'll just do it to end the shot. Juju, what else do we have today that we did not get to and should have gotten to? Yes, sir, man. Demiko Ryan is dropping the biggest bomb at the post game conference. Yes. We did sign Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Wachtoff salute. And I'm here to say I think the NFL should do that more often, by the way. I feel like let's give you a chance and pull this role and shift to a break. Let's start making some trades under the table and then game seven of the season. Wet in the hell. When did they get Jordan Pickens? Yeah, I'm into that. He should change his name to see if he could pass the other guys. The one he has hasn't allowed him before we get to the other things we missed. Can someone explain to me, do you guys have a working theory or anything credible? You know, I love to talk about the journalism stuff. Shafter's report was super weird in that he reported, "Hey, Marvin Harrison has been traded, but I can't tell you for who or for what?" And then the next day it comes out, or I don't know how much later, the next day, right? Next day. It comes out second round pick and sixth round pick and it's the Texans. What happened there? Let me describe what. No, Marvin Harrison is going to be traded. He's not going to dress for Sunday's game, wild speculation because we did not link a team. And then a little while later, the Texans are one of the teams. A little while later, I believe they're looking for a second round pick. And this stretches out over the course of a day. And I can't really remember when a potential trade has been reported on quite like this where you don't get the team initially linked. You only get one. The insider is seemingly helping with a leverage play that the team is having. Well, that's my question. Like, do we believe that Shafter knew the team, but he agreed, "Hey, you gave me the information. I'll leave it out." All this is a slippery slope Jeremy because with the advent of prediction markets and all this, all this looks a little funny. If it's new and unprecedented, I do think you're inviting question. That's the part that's really strange. And we just showed a follow-up tweet from Shafter up on the screen where someone had quote tweeted some of his information said, "Well, I think this might be the case." And he said, "Well, that's one plausible theory." Dude, you're the reporter. It's your report. If you have the information, enough information to put it out there as someone that does influence not only prediction markets, but ultimately, like what people think about a certain player. He did the same thing later on with Jaden Daniels. All of a sudden, there was this article about how, well, some doctors think that Jaden Daniels could potentially re-injure his elbow. It was so wild of information to the point where they're ended up being the response on Twitter where you have like the other people on Twitter that can add context, right? Readers that had a context part of it, community notes that had that underneath his tweet because it was so wild of him to just put out there all of a sudden. And you know what that did? What I instantly saw was everyone in the fantasy football world reacting to that going, "Oh, you know what? Maybe we should move Jaden Daniels down on our rankings. Maybe you should look at prop bets differently." I bet. It changes everything. When you just start leaking parts of information out there when you're the information guy, this feels like the sham stuff when it came to Yannis at the deadline and then he went away for a while. This is interesting though. You guys don't care about this until it affects your fantasy. That's right. You guys legitimately don't care about how your information is gathered right up until it affects what your lineup is going to look like. That's right. Roy, give me the sound. I had no problem with it. I started Jaden Daniels. I started Tyler's shock one point. But do I have this wrong? When I say nobody cares how shefter gets this information? You do have it wrong. It's been a huge talking point throughout the summer, but this is just another twist. Within 24 hours, two of these two different examples, and I don't think anyone has ever seen a report like what happened with Marvin Harrison Jr. That's so strange. Are we so beholden to the Marvin Harrison rumor mill that we have to put out a half-cocked trade rumor? Who's that for? If people do care about this, and Jr. I can't wait to the rest of what you have that we missed today, but if people do care about this at all, is there anything in the way of consequences for this other than a whole bunch of people clucking? Because then there is no care that's actually doing anything. Usually if people are upset and someone is doing something wrong, what you have is what happened with Stephen A. Smith where he has to make an apology on he did something wrong because everyone is upset about something. No, I just think it invites questions and the optics are bad. I don't think anything nefarious happened here, but it's weird. You're helping somebody. Somebody's being helped by this and is that the position of an insider? Sometimes insiders do do some of that stuff out there in trading for information. It's just never been structured so strangely and all for what? For Marvin Harrison? I'm surprised I got a second round pick for him. That's a brutal. What are you doing there? Fear the GM of the Texans. Second round pick. That guy is not good. I couldn't believe it. The theory is hopefully CJ Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr. can recapture the magic that they had together at Ohio State back when he was Maserati Marve. Uh, Juju, what else did we screw up today or miss? Yes, sir, man. Dre Greenlaw head, but it way across his finest with a helmet off and versus a helmet on it. You can't cross those two. I think Dre Greenlaw might need a conversation and a couple of games to sit back and think about what he done done. What say y'all? I agree. Time out, time out for sure. I was just really enjoying Tom Brady speaking about the linebackers. He definitely did a deep study on Fred Warner. Somebody asked him. He's played against both of them. We better. Ray Lewis or Fred Warner? Exactly. Next the Oregon jerseys are fire as hell, but Dylan Rayola got his ass bench. What say you, Zazzle? Yeah, he was terrible. He's stinky. He was terrible. Absolutely. Uh, it was a fumble on the gold line in that Jaguars Eagles game where Britain's strange could be visibly seeing the ball fell out. His mouthpiece fell out. He grabbed his mouthpiece and snedled it down, ball. Salute to the jack. The ball was right next to him, Dre. You could see him look down. The ball is getting like pushed out of somebody's legs. And then he's like picking it up with like two fingers and trying to put it in meanwhile somebody swoops in and grabs it. Oregon's an interesting case study, by the way, because they have two ranked wins right now. They also have losses, but the rank losses, total estate and UCLA. So while we've watched them and been like, well, that team's kind of ass, they have a much better argument to be ranked than someone like LSU. Speaking to Kyle's football mind blowing incompetence from that Alabama wide receiver, whoever he is, what are you doing in that moment? Zazzle? What is emotional maturity? Emotional maturity, Zazzle? I fell asleep late in that game. Yeah. What are they doing? Oh, I did think it was odd though. Kalen De Boer after doing like a two-minute press conference about emotional maturity went on the sideline just berating the game. You lost us again. You lost us again. Be emotionally mature. You lost us that game. Let me shout in your face that you cost us that game, but be emotionally mature. Why are you looking at me like that? Zazzle? That was sleep. Zazzle? You're a tired boy. That was fading. Zazzle, your college football, aficionado, at the age of the sport. A long day. I might not know anything about football. You can't stay awake for that. I had a long day and the drinks were flowing and I faded. Well, you can't read anything afterward. You drank so much that you didn't get there any more information in the next 36 hours. He was watching Money in the Bank. Lastly, the WNBA Finals are set and the Atlanta Dream have made it to the WNBA finals. Where are they playing? There are arenas not big enough to hold all of the people who want to watch this. Where are they playing these games? it says this is crazy this is crazy so what is the band is it somber sombers got the up the and and also the Atlanta hawks have a couple of games so literally it let the Atlanta dream one of the great stories in the history of Atlanta sports has a chance to win the championship and their choices between a three thousand seed arena and a seventeen thousand seed arena and no one knows where these games are gonna be played is there anywhere else like what about the omni can they play in the omni right and if it's a group of fans that don't give a damn about the WMA finals I think it's the somber fans so we might be in trouble but I'm gonna be there of course out wherever they play salute that's an exciting story it's a cool story very happy for Renee Montgomery very happy for Juju as well we're gonna get to the polls here in a second with Juju but I just want to throw observation 129 at you here I can make and assemble a decent argument that at the end of a 4521 game yesterday Trey McBride had the greatest catch in the history of the sport absolutely killed me in a fantasy he is a freak of nature but I could I not make that argue could I not make the argument that I catch has never been made that's any better than the one he made on 4th and 10 in the corner of the end zone where he wasn't any kind of open and there was a defender between him and the football as he bobbled it on the sideline and kept both of his feet in I could could I not assemble the argument that it was better than the O'Dell Beckham catch in terms of degree of difficulty yeah yeah yeah meaningless as it was it was because it was incredibly meaningless on a fourth downplay that nobody need they didn't need to do that he didn't need to do that no one's going to remember that catch correct no one's going to agree no the O'Dell catch was this fingertips it was this fingertips have you seen the catch have you seen the yes I have I benefited from the catch me to how did you benefit from the catch I had a draft King's fantasy I want me money my fantasy team I'm a big dog I fell asleep thanks for caring about my fantasy team I appreciate seven o'clock I sat Jadon Daniels because the shifter that's why I'm mad at levitar show if you want to vote on the polls juju what do we got you know about that caught over yeah that's a 55% of the audience says no they do not I vote it no two also before we get to this last poll Dan said early I see why you begin aggregated bit bro you said and I quote why does no one care I don't care but why does no one care they don't care for the same reason you don't care I'll be it bruh no no no no what did you not care about that no there was one point where he looked straight to the camera and said Patrick my homes get your helmet out of your ass right which is painful you want to be a big boy yeah you want to be a conversation Patrick my homes you want to get your helmet out of your eyes you're right you just want to play football clip it I think it's about college football too oh you just want to play football yeah tough guys tough guys Patrick my homes should you come in out of your eyes clip it send it yeah have a less have a wait hey BSM I threw up in my mouth and last poll is Zazlow the danger 93% of the audience says yes and those are your pose bye bye
