All the red flags are there, and they don't work in real life, but somehow in fantasy, the red flags. It's okay, more like if he has wings, it's fine, you know. And how, so how long? It takes me day or two per book. Yeah, I have an issue. Do characters ever cross over? You're not gonna tell me, are you serious? You want to know? You want to know? From the beginning, I did not want this to be a place that felt daunting to show up or that you had to have your homework done. But if you've read the housemaid and you really liked it, or you've watched "Sex in the City," or if you've watched a Victoria Secret fashion show, this is a place for everyone. And that's where Booked Blonde and Busy comes in, because I'm definitely blonde. I definitely trip over my words. I definitely make some mistakes when I'm talking, and I'll like, bruh, bruh. But that doesn't take away from my love for reading. Because we're all more than just one thing, and if you're a book lover, you definitely know that. So welcome, I am Olivia Ponson, and today we're joined by Josephine Scriber. Josephine, as you might know, is an iconic Victoria Secret Supermodel. And what you might not know is that she somehow reads four to five books at a time. So Josephine, welcome to Booked Blonde and Busy. I'm so excited for you to be here, you actually. I think the audience understands, I don't know if you necessarily understand, but before we get into that, we're going to do the beverage of the day. I was thinking we would be healthy, and we would have our little. This is an immunity shot, which is an elderberry apple. And this is a digestant shot, a digestian, a ginger and pineapple. So we're trying to be healthy, so. I love it. Especially the rain and the like, you have to get inside. I've actually never taken a shot in my life, fun fact about me. Ever? Like, no shot. Mm-hmm. Wow. I just think it's all I do. But my thing is I'm really scared of throwing up, so I'm scared. I feel like people only throw up when they take too many shots. I'll see. I know my number. I just also hate walking around with a drink. Mm-hmm. Oh. No? See, that's why I'm like, I just don't know about that. And I took. See, me and shots just don't want to go long. Yeah, really sold out. That one for me. Yeah. Yeah, do you want to try it? Okay. So I feel like we just have to start with this, because I've never really said it to you. Well, maybe I have a little bit. Me sitting at home on my iPod Touch and seeing you get your angel wings was like a literal life-changing moment. I showed it to my mom, and was like, I want to do this. Keeping my Nolivio was maybe Olivia's mini. I was like five-two, like I hadn't hit puberty yet. My mom was just like, okay, sweetie, okay, sweetie, like. Did you grow light? Yeah. I was the tiniest human until probably like ninth grade, maybe. Like I was always the smallest in my class. What is that? Transvesting age. Like 13, 14, 15. Somewhere around there, I think I was a young baby too, but. So I saw that, and that was the moment where I was like, oh my god, I want to look exactly like her. I want to be her. And just as, like, I've grown up in this industry a little bit, like you've always just been someone that I've looked up to so much, just because like the way that you carry yourself and the way that you. Just every single one of like your red carpet looks like the interviews that you would do. So I'm not going to get into this because I don't want to sound like a stalker, but I'm just really appreciative of you being on here. No, I appreciate it. So what was the book that like got you into reading? I feel like everyone has one. Well, I am so far back. Like I don't remember not reading. Really? Yeah. But I would say, like so my bonus mom was a school librarian. Oh. So like I've been, they read out loud to me since like, I'm old enough that they start reading out the Harry Potter books for me before I could read properly. So it was really cool once I could take over myself. So that one was a big one. Then there, there was something she kept in the shelf and she's like, when you're old enough, you can read this. So she made this like whole like, oh my god, I can finally, because she thought it would maybe be a little too scary. It's called a shameless daughter, but it's a Danish book. It's like a Danish kid. Okay. Not kid, but like teenage books. About this, her super power is that when you look into her eyes, she can see everything that you've ever been streamed off your whole life and like crumpled adult men and she, you know, politics and she's like so feared and then like, blah blah blah. But what really got me into like this or man to see fantasy, more of adult version. Again, this is Scandinavian bookline and never made it out before. I think it would have done really well now because there's such a hype about it. It's called like, yeah, yeah, say one something, yeah, I don't know. So it's basically the Volvo's daughter. It's about like Vikings come to this city, they like plunder their whole thing. She gets kidnapped because that's what they do. That's what they do. And she get like, basically put together now, she is the new wife of the chief them. Okay. And then turns out she has magical power because she's a Volvo and then it's like a very historical feels accurate and then you fall this girl just like go into adulthood and between magic and this. And it's like a nine book series. Did you read all of them? Yes. And I had like my bonus mom like get them for the library and like she's like, nobody ever, ever check this one out beside you and your two friends and we were like obsessed. It became like my whole personality for so long and I just got the whole series because she found them on like a flea market because they don't really, it's not a thing. I don't think it ever did well enough to get outside of Scandinavia. So, but I now have them all and like, I'm so nervous to reread them because I don't know if I've put them in a head because I was in a headspace like I was 13 reading my first kind of adult love. Yeah. It's definitely a little too young to read it, but I was like, what is that? That's so cute. I feel like for me, I like was kind of the opposite. Like I was forced. I don't know if this going is the same. It's Scandinavia, but they like forced us to read like the giver and then there was a tour through other books, but like when someone's forcing you to read a book, yeah, you don't enjoy it. No matter how good of a book it is, I'm sure the giver is a great read, me at the age of what I was probably a freshman software, them forcing us to read it. I was like, this is just kidding. Plus you usually have to keep his pace of the class and then like, oh, you're reading one chapter this week and you're like, okay, cool. And that's like that really killed my vibe for reading. And then when I had COVID in 2020, I keep saying like when I had COVID, but like whatever, I picked up crave by Tracy Wolf, which is like a vampire werewolf, like crazy book. And I was like, oh my god, they write fit like this. This is awesome. And then ever since then, I've read an absurd amount of books. I'm not going to lie to you. I swear what happened is that every, because I was the kind of girl who would read like fanfics. Like I was on like what path and like there was, there was not enough material for me to consume, because like you would get like one fantasy book, two fantasy book. And maybe it was also like just me being a Denmark. And like it was hard. It's a fine unless I was like, and I made like old school enough, you had to go to the library. Yeah. It was like online available at all times. And now like any takes like, I'm like, ooh, my TBR list is like beyond, I will never be done. Um, me too. But growing up, I would like good library, trying to figure out, so there was never enough. And then I've discovered what pat on the internet and I was like, oh, fantasy fanfics. I swear all those girls are now old enough to write their own books. And that's what you're seeing. That is what this explosion is my theory. Um, and I'm like, I'm so excited. I think it's so fun. I know. I've even been like, obviously I'm on book talking clearly you are too. And I feel like just every day I'm finding like a new book that's coming out. That's like in the same like dystopian, like Veronica Roth who's the author of divergent, announce like her new book. And I'm like, I'm loving this. I don't know what's happening, but I'm loving it. I try and make a rule right now, like, but it's so hard. Like, please don't start another series. That's not done. Because like, the amount of things I've started that I have to wait for this. And then I'll have to reread it anyway to like catch up because they all kind of get blurred. I know, which we'll talk about, Akatar, because I saw that you were rereading it. And I'm like, I've only reread one book of my life. And that was Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. And that was just because that book gave me a fix that and I'm not going to say no other book, but not a lot of books can give me that like obsession with the character and like the love triangle. I'm not a huge love triangle girl, but that one, that's the only one that's kind of worked out for me. Yeah. No, I don't like it. Oh, because the plot twists in it. And anyways, I'm not going to spoil it for the viewers. And one way that we are different is you read multiple books at a time. And that I find crazy because I'm like a serial monogamous, I'll read one book at a time and I have to read it until I'm finished. And that's where that's where my rule comes in of if I don't finish a book within like, I'll do like a week, a week and a half. I'll be like, you know what, I need to finish or I'm either going to finish it immediately or I'm never going to finish it. So walk me through like the concept of reading four books at a time. Like what? Why? Well, that's also like, I think the more I sometimes have to like give myself weeks where I'm not allowed to read because I can get a little obsessive and then I'm like lost in my universe. that's where like the multiple books comes in because or just like even mood reading. I'm such a mood reader. Sometimes I get really hooked on a fantasy but they can also be a little heavy if the wall building is like super intense and for me I need like a proper headspace for that. I need to be like not distracted as much because I tend to just like I can't listen to that stuff in like the car. I will just start watching a movie and then all of a sudden I'm like wait. I need to be driving. Yes, I should focus on traffic. That's where I like the more like oh I would like to learn about this topic. So like everything from parenting book like currently I'm reading tell me where it hurts and it's about the concept how we've never thought about pain as a whole body experience and not just physical, emotional but it actually all connects. That one is I usually have more than audio book because I can listen to that in this more factual versus like there's not like this video going on. And then older yet there's also the option for smut but then sometimes they get so smudgy that I'm like okay I need to play it's gotten to like but those are so easy for me to pick up put down. I agree because I don't I feel like with that you don't need to be that locked in like where it's a fantasy book where you have to like it's like watching a home or a movie too. Sometimes you like you know what's going you know what's happening you know instantly when she meets the guy like no and that's like you know this or it's like it's so predictable but it also like there's something comfort about that and then sometimes these books go so dark that I need a palette cleanser and I need like a full just like romcom just so like a romcom is your palette cleanser always not always like I just got told now I'm about to finish alchemized yeah and I thought it was gonna be darker than it is because I read mannacle as a fanfic back then I don't know manacles is that what it's based so she's this was a massive fanfic about what happens after Harry Potter so Voldemort wins I did hear about that okay yes dead Hermione and Malforn out yeah and it's like a mix of dystopian after will after war meets handmaid's tail it's very dark yeah it's like I remember the first time I picked it up I almost like had to put it down because like I am this uncomfortable huh yes and that's the actual book or that's no that was a fanfic okay so now she read wrote her all it did so well that somebody wants to to publish this story but obviously she can't copyright yeah so she's built her entire own magical system now instead of like and it's like you can feel certain personality trade but it's very different and it is definitely been toned down I was like oh and I was like to my friend this is so dark it's not I mean it's dark but it's not there yet I was like and then I started reading I was like okay and I had been like putting this off because I was like not in the right headspace for like really deep dark aggressive stuff um why am I this is so aggressive that I'm like see for me with those I can't really read too dark of my best friend Emma is also a very avid reader like me but she reads like the deep dark like crazy like hunting Adeline like crazy books and haven't gotten to hunting on the line yeah yeah and she's told me like I just can't read that because and I'll always like check a book through her if it is a dark book she'll she's probably have she's probably had read it so check it out be like hey I'm thinking about reading this book like do you think it's gonna be too much for me and she'll give me a very like honest yes for now and I really appreciate that I have that in a friend that's nice also that you know your limits yeah because I'm very aware because sometimes it's happened me a few times where like this I was reading oh my god I can't remember the name of the book we're in tricking things tricking warnings yeah it was like a crazy dark book and the cover just did not give dark like it gave very like you yeah and I started reading it and I was on the beach in Hawaii and I actually like it was so intense I was like I just need to never touch this book again I close it and I just put it to the side and I was like yeah I'm okay it was like she fell in love with like her captor she got like kidnapped and much a crazy stuff happened to her and then she started falling in love with him and I was like I just don't think I can read a book like this that's like a little too but it's funny somehow it works in fantasy yeah and sometimes like he's allowed to like murder her whole family and like string her up and like really torture her isn't like but what I like about fantasy but you don't get in romance they will never cheat yeah they will do everything they will murder your parents they will like lock you up kidnapped you they'll torture a whole village they'll be like a mass murder but they will never cheat because you in there's yeah and there's like that obsession between the two and they'll stalk you in like all the red flags are there and they don't work in real life but somehow in fantasy the red flags it's okay more like if he has wings it's fine it's just like it's because he's a vampire it's like his nature it's his nature yes it um but that doesn't work for me and I can't do dark books in real with the real people what do you mean by that like I can't do like a romance that has no magical element oh yeah with red flags then I'm like that's just messed up mm-hmm I would agree with that if he's a human absolutely not if he's not a vampire if he's not like in my face slight animal and there's a reason for it and like I don't know oh my god that's I feel like I talk about that all the time and especially when I saw a book too busy I would like go through I would really be thinking about the themes of book books and you can't say them out loud sometimes yeah I'd be thinking of myself and I'm like this is extremely messed up like what the fuck and the way I'm just reading it in my bed and I'm like I can't really tell you or you'll see you're gonna think I'm insane yeah and you're trying to like re-brand it to like yeah I'm powerful because if you say it out loud you're just like I'm even not questioning my own sanity like oh my gosh yeah that's happened to me so many times when I especially when they're non readers and you're having to like awkwardly explain like fourth wing or like like like even like a basic book I'm like I sound insane I'm talking what a fairy and a vampire I'm like this just doesn't work I need to shut up so I want to talk about binding 13 because I really just finished it have you finished keeping 13? yeah literally just finished keeping 13 okay so I'm gonna start it my first question okay well for a little backstory of people who haven't read binding 13 binding 13 is the first book in the Boys of Tommend series and it's by Chloe Walsh and binding 13 is quite light I would say it's I didn't realize how like until I like started reading it and then my entire four-year page was like yeah wait literally is the same thing to me I am getting a bunch of spoilers which I don't like I suppose where it's connected to like your TikTok knows what you pick up I feel like it also just listens to us yeah so that's my thing because I was talking about it with a lot of my friends because one of my other really good friends Ella she has read this entire series twice it's her favorite series really has recommended it to me it's very young yeah I usually have but and I also kind like make them older in my head where this is so high school that I was like okay this is very young and at first I wasn't gonna pick it up but then Claire Holst who somehow become like she likes a book I tend to like it too I have a few people in book talk where I'm like oh when they mention something were you saying the same well transparently I had finished a book on a plane and I wanted to keep reading I was like in the headspace to keep on going and so I get on my Kindle and the only thing I had downloaded was finding 13 so I was like well it's this or nothing so I just started reading it and within the first like 30 pages I was hooked I was like oh what kind of what kind of stuff is you putting in this bitch and so then I just was attached to it I was like now I have to finish it but it's like 600 or 700 pages and yeah it took me through a freaking whirlwind anyways for people who haven't read it it's a love story between Shannon and Johnny and Shannon's like this small quaint like easily brickable girl and Johnny is like the captain of the rugby team class yeah and put the book in her writing style and like the yearning what is a love book I love romance book and it's kind of the story of Johnny and Shannon kind of coming together and they're not really enemies to lovers no that actually what I really like to buy that it's like it's not there that means each other he's actually kind of awesome to her really early on and sees that she has some like messed up background and he can't figure out why she seems like someone he must rescue yeah which I I've never read a book like that and the yearning was very addicting because for me a slow burn I know I can't read slow burns because it's like you're like I want to do what this is it yeah I'm like let's get it on you know what I mean oh see I like it when it takes three books to get there really yes see I'm like an action girl I'm like give me like that's why Akatar a little too slow for me so thrown a glass would be better for me for the love story no okay but for the paceness or the fast the pace this is the hardest book to explain to people because it's my Roman Empire it's one of my favorite series of all times once you're done with the whole thing it's tough to get through the first two yeah then it gets like interesting to like people debate when to read assassin plate then it gets really good for like a book or two okay and then you're like then you have to like really get through another book but like and then it gets like the last two books or some of my favorite books have ever read and then when you look back you like you get why you have to go through so much because like when it all like ends it's so emotionally invested and the character built and like they're not like I've never seen female characters be allowed to be so flawed and be so built and in fact that she started writing reading this writing this once she was 16 blows my mind and I probably think about that series like weekly. Mm-hmm. Yet I don't know how to explain to people that like there's a lot of books you might almost DNF but please don't like make it to all the way to the end but it's a it's a huge commitment for like not every book being like brilliant. Mm-hmm. And that's what literally my best friend says the exact same thing to me. She's like trust the boss. Yeah she because same thing for her like those are her Roman Empire like she thinks about those every day. She was in a book slum for a year. She could she tried to pick up so many different books but nothing gave her like the same like obsession that she had. Oh it was really tough after after finishing that and I was like yeah and that's my thing I'm like do I really need to like I like where I'm at with reading you know I'm like I don't want to not read for six months afterwards so before okay we're gonna get to Akitar but so my last question about um binding or I guess the boys of Toman number one is do you think you'll finish all the books in the series? I think I will but I think I'll take them in chunks. Yeah because knowing that the next one is a different couple. Mm-hmm. I was like oh I wasn't like ready to let them go but keep in 13 almost was like it could have ended a lot sooner. Interesting. We get a lot of like extra story. Okay well I'm like and I get it but that's when I got a little slow for me and like the drama was sort of like gotten to a poem where you figure out if it's good or bad or not and then it's like this is why sometimes like real human books get just to real life and I'm like okay where is my castles? Where's my magic? Because even when they're struggling they're struggling you know on a horseback. And so like there's definitely like everything about binding 13 was show fast pace for me and like I loved it and then it's almost like we get the ending a little too soon and keeping 13 and then there's extra but I think it's probably really important for like the wrap up the character and the setup and like you can tell the way there's it felt like the the ending of keeping with keeping 13. Very much I'm like oh there's so many like unquestioned like about the other characters. I'm like oh it says there's definitely backstarts. Oh there is definitely there definitely they're all probably messed up somehow. So but I wasn't ready for who she picked this her next person because isn't it it's Joey and Alfies and I was just not ready for Joey yet for some reason. I want to one of the other kids which I feel like from what I've seen on social media because I get spoilers all the time. Apparently Joey is really dark and apparently the disease is really dark. No this seems like because you get told so little and so many hints are just like not okay. You're like huh love but I definitely well but I now there was a good break. I usually when I read a lot of books and ones I try and be good about like wrapping them up so like I'm almost done with my round of five. Wait. So right now I start them all at the same time. Ish. Okay. I kind of start once I've done everything I start one and then I want to sudden I'm not in a mood for like how dark the chapter went. So now I'm like go something and wonder or TikTok is like oh my god and I'm like oh what is this and then I'm two chapters and I'm like I don't know like that's how what happened to me with the poison daughter I was like and then I just swallowed a whole book. It's very like if you're fan of from blood and ash. It's a short it's almost feels like a one it's like a one book which I like that it was like a one off. I try and always have one that's like not a full-seried commitment. I agree. I just read a one-off book like honestly pretty fast. It was called "Tikage a Wild Bird". Oh I've been told that was good. I've sound on TikTok and I was like sign me up and it's basically like the Hunger Games but like more gruesome. It's pretty group pretty it's not I wouldn't say darks the right word but there's like a lot more. Well I guess the Hunger Games is pretty gnarly but it's not that bad like it's yeah I don't know how to say it without like getting way too into it. Like Hunger Games is like messed up from the situation with this. Yeah but at the end of the day they don't go too detailed in the murderous torture but in the book they go really deep and really into it which is a little much for Olivia when I was reading it I was like well you might if you I don't know how smuddy you want as well but the boys know that it was like a good they're instant like it's it was very fast paced okay but it was also weirdly predictable if you read from blood and ash okay because I was like oh they just like condensed condensed one of them too that they're a little bit okay well now let's talk about Akatar because you're rereading yes I just read them you finish it yes how long does that take you well this was a reread so this was a mix of reading it and audiobook okay and how so how long it takes me day or two per book yeah I have an issue I know I know we I also listened to it three times beat so oh yes what I know I built a stick especially if I can't if I slightly know the book it's so easy and like with audiobooks especially ever since I became a mom it's like a perfect my daughter goes bad or something and I put the audio book in and I get all my chores done and I'm not bored doing all that because I have a movie going and I can do all these manual tasks that I don't have to use brain space for see that's why like I'm not a huge audiobook book girl but if I'm like cleaning around my apartment or something I will like blast it on speaker and then I always get noise complaints from my neighbor because they're like what are you listening to no the worst is if someone texts you while you're reading an audiobook oh and it says it out loud all of a sudden goes husband is letting you all and I'm like what is this slowness and it's like this slow talking to you like oh my god it takes five minutes to beat this that's crazy I listened to I listened to Lightlark by Alex Aster on I did a mix between audiobook and reading in real life but I could only listen to it like at 1.5 speed three x I can't really well not every book is great it's depending on like like binding 13 was hard because he has a Scottish or Irish was something accent I was like whoa okay my English is not good enough for this so I kind of like slow this one down a little bit does he in the audiobook do they have an accent yeah heavy oh huh because they're all from that part of the England Ireland yeah Scotland I just kind of lumped it up I know that's so bad but like in my head I was like yay all there yeah I think it's like Dublin oh yeah it's for good Dublin yeah okay yeah um Dublin but yeah what's so nice about like obviously this is also like an expensive way of doing it but if you have the Kindle plus the Kindle audio they sink so if you pick up one place from the other they were just like continue I didn't know that so like if you plug in oh yeah start reading exactly where you left off so you don't have to like go back and like find it yeah because that's my thing because I listen to Spotify audiobooks and then I read the book but my only thing is that I have to figure out where I am then you have to like end it on the chapter yeah I'll like just put a book down like mid sentence me too once I'm done I'm like okay I'm gonna read I always read before I go to sleep and then I'll just be like I'll literally read in time falling asleep and then I'll just be like this and I'll just fall asleep so I'm probably not the best way to go about it but anyways was there anything that you paid attention to extra while rereading act art like were there points and time where you were like oh this was foreshadowing before I even realized it was foreshadowing I mean she does a ton of foreshadowing I feel like and I think it's so impressive to like this is also why I highly recommend you read all the books and all the series because they do do do a little bit of this yeah um so you'll get a deeper understanding like once you read thrown a glass you're like oh my god the foreshadowing for a guitar was insane just at least one big big spoiler so thrown a glass lives in the same universe as a guitar so that's the theory is we don't know it kind of feels like and if they do they live on parallel universes for sure yeah um I can't fully but they must live in similar timelines um because they visit because they what they like marble up do do characters ever crossover you're not gonna tell me are you you want to know you want to know I mean what house but I know a actor spoiler if there wasn't like a hint something in okay glass I guess you're right but like you don't want to stand in when you're reading thrown a glass even in a guitar I was like rereading thrown glass I was like oh my god I didn't catch on and then now I would say like I like the characters way more the second time around in a guitar and or both because like there's something about like understanding why they're flawed that you come with like and understanding I don't have full rose club glasses about reason I'm like oh he also messes up and doesn't think but it actually made him more believable that he also is a little plus he's fake so they have like some possessive things and yeah and I we can expect him to act like humans I guess that makes a valid point in her new books that are coming out because what six six the sixth book and the seventh book are coming out in a guitar right this year yes no as I was October 27th and January that's a that's a that's a long time away so long this is what I mean by like but I can't imagine having like read thrown a glass acid came out because yeah I'm just waiting for each of them yes but - But I'm so curious about where she's gonna go with it. Not in drives me nuts that I don't know who she's point of perspective from. - Is that something you're looking for in the sixth book that it will reveal? - Yes, I wanna know who is in the next story. Like I wanna know like who are we talking like, who's telling us in the next story? Who's perspective are we getting? - Who's in the throwing glass series? Is it all from different perspectives? - No, no, so well, no, don't know, yes. Don't know glass, it's a game of thrones. It's like multi-perspective. But then in Akatar you've been falling favor for a long time and then you fall at Nesta. And Nessa and Cassie and all of a sudden. So you got two perspective and you got a few chapters with like a recent. So like she's definitely going into multi-perspective where it was like solely favor for a long time. So I'm very curious to see if like, do Nesta gets to like wrap up her story next 'cause I would love love more Nesta. - Yeah. - Or do we finally get to hear from Elaine? Is she going to go with the sisters or is she gonna do a full male perspective and change? Or is she like gonna pull a throne at glass and pick a character that now we have to really follow different story line and what she's saying, this is one big story. So it's gonna be like four section and like the first is like one or two within the next. - Yeah. - So like she's read that. That's like a, that means we have to wait another. But I was a fair, she like gave us two years and I was gonna come out with two books. - Yeah, she kept, she's printing them out at once. - But I prefer when I would rather authors take their time, tell it's right. As much as like hate as a reader. Versus like some of these authors rushing out would stuff, I'm like, I would buy that weight a year and it was great where she's like, I can tell you a toll to push this to quick. - You can see that's like what I like to talk about authors 'cause I'm like, how much of that is their fault and how much of that is the publishing house or is the publishing house forcing them to get a book by a certain date or is it on their timeline where they're like, no, this book is not ready to be published. It's almost there but it definitely needs some work. I mean, there's probably give and take and there's probably what you sign and what you do and all of a sudden like, this is your momentum. You need to be out within this and people are printing books so quick right now. I'm like, holy, I know. Like Alex Asterron, she was my first guest and I'm a huge fan of her writing style. It's like a perfect mixture between like a Sarah J. Mass and like, I like to describe her as an Akatar but fast pace. Like light-lark, like there's enough that's going on to understand, I mean, there's a lot going on to understand but it's just like condensed and I feel like she doesn't go into like what color the carpet is or like what color the wall are. Like what is the castle? - Oh, you would hate Lord of the Rings. - Yeah, well I'm watching 'em. - Because Lord of the Rings there was like 100 pages where they kept walking through the forest and now I'm even like, okay, my guy, my guy. I know you love to describe your universe and I get it, you made a whole whole like language. - Yeah. - But can we leave this forest at this point? Or like I know every leaf color, literally. - So that's my thing with her, but she's not a new author but her books have like just kind of gotten the attention that they deserve. And she's like, it's crazy. Before you publish a book, you should have the second one already done. You should be like pretty much done with the third one and like she released Sarside, which is right there. That came out a month ago maybe. - Because I always thought about that. Wouldn't you want almost to have it fully done? Plus people will also start fan theory. Like how do you get rid of like not ruining your story because like all these fanfics and theories and where things go and how do you like, I would have to like lock myself up or like be done with the story and then still lock myself up and I was like, oh no, that was actually a great angle. I should have thought of that. - Literally. What Alex says, she says that she has the end to her story already figured out and she'll never change the ending. But if fan like fiction comes in, she'll like, she's altered things in between and her stories because she's like, wait, I actually really liked that. Let me try to like, finesse this into the storyline. But I think it's like good that they have the overarching finalized, bully wrapped up thing at the end. - I think my favorite book is like, I've read so many now that if I can still be surprised, I'm like, and that's not trying to like, who won't tell me. But like, there are just only so many stories to be told. And you're like, I know what this is going. - Literally that. - But I have to kind of love that. I love that it's like the comfort of it. - Yeah, there was one. - That's why like, it gets predictable, but I really liked Fairy Deal. I was very surprised with how much I liked Fairy Deal because it was kind of a, I guess it's set up like a little bit like a horror, but not really. 'Cause it's not, I don't find books scary necessarily. But I also don't know if I've really read scary books. - I read one book and it was about a romance between a ghost and a real person. And I had to put it down 'cause it was getting a little too realistic. And I was like, I just don't, I don't want to think about the fact that there could be a ghost in my bedroom right now. - Yeah, fair, fair, fair. - I want to do a fan casting of Akatar. Like the first four characters. We're not first four characters, but like, and I also can't pronounce their names. Freya, Freya, Freya, Favorite. - That's another thing with audiobooks. - Oh, okay. - At least say like, let you know what there's, 'cause they are always wrong in my head. And I just kind of, I don't even know if I make a sound. I just like, that's what I do. I kind of read the name and I'm like, yeah. - Yeah. - And then somebody says it out loud in my coup. - My thing with book talk when people say their names. I'm like, oh, yeah. Like Ryzand, Ryzand. Apparently, I'm supposed to know that 'cause it's a real name. - Rhys, Rhys? - I still find Rhys more. - Yeah. - 'Cause then people will pronounce it Rhys. And then I'm just like. - 'Cause I can't say Ryz. - Yeah. I was fully just like, when I would read it, I was just thinking sand. So I was just thinking sand, sand. Like that, it was his name. That's why I'm not the best thing, but you know. So I'm sure, I'm sure they're gonna make this a TV. - Something. - Okay. - Actually hot tag that I don't know if most people agree with. I don't think it should be a real life action movie. - Really? - I want it to be like cartoon. - Oh, like a cartoon. - Wow. - Yes, I want that there's nothing that'll be good enough unless they like draw it on paper. - I agree. Wow. I actually never thought about like that. - I want it to be like full arcane, kind of like, give me that universe of like draw it for me. - So I guess it wouldn't be faint. We can still do the fan cast. - No, I would tell it. It's most likely gonna be real cast, but I just know that I'm gonna be like, oh, that's not what they look like. But like none of us are gonna agree. And it's so hard because I would want a fan cast per look. But then I'm like, they're not an actor. So like, they can be picked because they should also know how to act. - I agree. - Because this cannot be like cheesy acting. Like you have to have people who are like, - Who are so into it. - Yeah. - Like I'm watching Game of Thrones for the first time right now and like the acting in it. And I'm like, these are such theater kids. Like they are really getting into it in a way that just like, I don't think I feel like they would all have to method act because I'm like, how do you just snap out of being a Lannister? You know what I mean? I'm like, what? - I also, what I love about Game of Thrones is that they generally seem like fans, which is my biggest pet people with twilight. 'Cause I don't know what happened to that movie. Like, but I still love to watch it. Okay, we're wrong. It's like a guilty pleasure. But I hated that they're all not fans. Like they all seem like, oh, embarrassed that they did it. When I see interviews with any of them, they're like, I love an actor who's in proper fan. That's why Henry Cavill could do any movie for me 'cause he's such a nerd and he kind of has to look but like, he left the Witcher because he was like, disagreeing with how off script they went and I was like, yes. Like I love that. Like I prefer that they're like obsessed with that character and stay true to script because as a book first movie later, I get annoyed when you don't do little details like in twilight. They got the curtain color in her bedroom room and they spent a whole chapter kind of describing why. Like I'm like, it's not that difficult to just get that color right. - Yeah, I agree. I'm, did you watch, or I guess read the deal by El Kennedy? - No. - It's coming out. It's like, honestly, like similar to this but like, it's kind of like, the way I describe it is like a straight heated rivalry. It's like a college town. They're all hockey players and then like each of the books follow a different couple. And I watched the first two episodes and like same thing. Like they brought in enough from the book that I'm like, okay, respect. But I hate when you watch a book adaptation and there's like the plot still the same but like nothing else is the same. I'm like, you didn't even cast the right people. Like the, like in the book, this was like a tall Italian man and you casted like a little white boy. I'm like, what? - No, I kind of imagined watching, I never read the Vampire Diaries 'cause I didn't realize they were books first. - Oh, I didn't. - Oh, is that the Vampire Academy? No, that's a difference. - No, that's a different one. I think they tried to make that. There's a really bad, I watched it. Yeah, no, I love it. I like that. So when it's like a little cringe and stare 'cause I read the book first and then all my birthday, my 21st birthday actually. I just really wanted to watch like a crazy vampire thing because we found that and it was so cringe but so perfect. I was like, thanks guys. - No, that's like that's like me and Mortal Kombat. Like those books were great and then like all the re-adaption was like, it's also, that's the thing. Sometimes these books don't work with humans or like in real life and I'm just like, there's a reason why I can't say this stuff out loud. You just gotta be like in the universe. It makes sense right here. It doesn't make sense when we try and make it to real. - I agree. - So like I get nervous with Akatar but yeah, I think apparently Vampire Diaries, the hair color in the main girl is wrong and like there's so many things and she doesn't end up with the right, the same brother or whatever. - Yeah, and there's so many, like. Things I'm like, oh, or I just have to be like, okay, these are two separate entities and I got to walk away And I'm not gonna at them. No, I get very like upset So for right Fera Fera. Yes. So for Fera, who do you think would be or who do you think would be a good actress? Actress or Person I think anyone I don't know if you remember what Barbara palvin wore at the last video show They even gave her basically failures. I think she looks exactly what I heard the this one She had like a sheer brown dress. Oh, yes, okay, yeah, I'm the back down and then they gave her these like cut and I was like Like I think she and she's five nine. She's perfect like high color Maybe they might have to lighten her hair tiny bit, but like Look wise. Yeah, I just like an age what like I just think she would be so Appropriate for that and she has that perfect mix of like cute and pretty and hot and just like, but obviously Haven't seen her act so like don't know if that's but yeah, if I can like do a look thing mine would be Amelia Clark from Like peak Game of Thrones Interesting dragon like with the blonde hair like I know not it doesn't really fit But all yeah, but like for me But with the other yeah like acting wise. That's where I'm coming from like it's funny I don't find her naive enough and I'm not saying like with the bar, but I'm like she doesn't have like She's almost too like I would almost rather cast her as Morgan Really? Because she's so powerful in the way she like yeah, but I feel like because she's such a good actress She couldn't embody like that. Yeah, that's that's what's where I was coming from and then she's so tiny mm-hmm And she's finally a tall girl character. Yeah I'm not like dismissing. I'm just saying a little bit so for rising reason that's the hardest one but for me He has to be Non-white. There's that entire court is show like Like Arabian night kind of vibe the way the clothes they would describe it the way he's kind of dark like So he's come up with my fan cast a lot. I might think I forgot my name. He's Turkish actor You look it up. Look it up two seconds. He and mean Look at this Oh Okay, like look at this like that kind of to me like though thus and then he has light eyes like you make them purple Sorry Oh my little I'm just saying that and I need them to be a man Please do not give me a teenager do not give me a little kid and he's like Six something like and he's like masculine enough that like He's been alive for 500 years. Yeah, I'm like that also kind of gives like the Also crazy movie, but so good Now for Tim when who do you think I? Want him to be like a Scandinavian bone guy like I think that he needs to be like one of those Swedish actors like There's also a few more like it's it's hard because like from book one he needs to be hot enough to do find him attractive But he also needs to be a little slimy so it doesn't work later, but maybe just This guy's like good. I'm so bad with names. You're so fine. Oh, but this Swedish actor Chris Mason Christopher Mason like and I don't think he's an actor. I think he's just a model, but he if he was He was in him before like if he was blonde and long hair And he like his body's insane. I feel like he could again on an actor though. Mm-hmm. So like I can't just like base and looks mine I thought of Austin Butler. I don't know if that's the same. No, I actually think that would really work because I feel like he kind of gives Little young though. Yeah, but this is my dream. I'm like if he buffed up Totally if he like got massive really ripped. Yeah, ripping those protein shakes five times But I could see yeah, no, no that works. I like that. And then who do you think for Lucian? Lucian? Well, he has to be like Mixed right because dad is Helian mm-hmm He doesn't fit H wise, but have you seen Grey's Anatomy? Yeah, you know that um Avery I feel like he might have aged out of the role a little bit. Mm-hmm But I could see that like he wasn't as dark in my head beginning until I realized his dad is like dark And then I have to like readjust in my head mm-hmm. Um, what about like Tyrick withers He's kind of like just having his like acting Yeah, please because like Lucian is hard for me. So you have to be good like there we go Gold eyes red hair and brown skin Yes, I could yes That's Paul. He's like actually don't know how tall he is, but he seems to talk for sure But he's just had a like a few acting debuts. I guess not debuts not the right word because he's been a lot of stuff Let's see that's a kind of what I'm going like that light skin like light eyes like that totally could work with that arm and red hair and like long They all they all just have to be like ripped and like that's what I mean They have to be such perfect specimen of humans and it's almost like unfair to cast anyone else humans. Yeah, I agree Um so to wrap up the Avatar section. What is like the worst thing that Sarah J Mask could do to you with the 6th and 7th book command? oh Like the part you would be so disappointed if she did that to you or just to everyone I mean, I don't think she would ever do it, but like a lot of fan people think reason isn't as like that He's been manipulating her the whole time oh and that to me would be like That's just like don't waste like 80 books for me and then the guy is not perfect Because he has flaws, but like I love it. No The worst she could do would be like completely right now Just like hit me with like a side character. We barely heard anything about and start this whole another Because I'll probably love it, but like I want to stay with the people we know um And I also hope that I know that net. Okay, this is gonna be spoiler, but like that's okay That Nesta gave up basically her entire power response. She loves for these girls who just give up their powers and I Um, I hate when that happens That's why I want more of Nesta's story because I would be so sad if Nesta's just done because I felt like she was such a powerful and like The baitable characters and so many people are so conflicted at what they feel about her and I think that makes super interesting Hmm I have seen a lot of like fan stuff about that on TikTok before About how people hope that Nesta has a Further conversation within herself because they don't think how she got treated was correct No, and I I feel like at the end it's like she finally connects a little bit and like gives it all up and like there's something and like But if that's just it like the buildup of what I feel like she has potential to be Um even Amrin is just like now. She's just like I don't want to like yeah And I may like Yeah, there's a lot of loose ends like I don't know enough about Morgan's power They're very much like I'm just really like but I think Not giving Nesta more credit more roles even if she becomes a side character or like deviating or even like Yeah, I think like That would be tough for me. Where about you? I think I would agree with you if she went off on a whole different other character and didn't like wrap up what she's already Started if that makes me sense because I think there's so many unanswered questions that people have And if she just went veered off completely and didn't answer all of this Unless of course there's gonna be like another five books in the series where like those are gonna eventually wrap back into this I think that would be that that would be my answer Yeah, but you never know I just can't tell like If I care enough yet about Elaine to like her be the next book. Yeah I'm not quite there, but I'm not gonna ask I want an asher, but I also feel like he deserves Something different But like I also don't know what I want from this fate. They're fate of me pollution because I was a really freaking love Lucian to get His attention. Yeah Oh, well if I get out in the year Not so long. I just I just wish she would have now it's at least So I can I start obsessing over a certain character Yeah, just like give me who we're talking about what's my perspective? Where's boys just give me that I'm sure all I wonder she'll give like a teaser before I'm sure she will No, no, her PR team is smart.
