Speaker 2Yeah no it was a great win the first one and then it was all downhill from there but it was great, I tell you what it was great to see the Wallabies wasn't it on the weekend? What about that? Even if people say it was their B team but I tell you the Springboks B team's as good as any team in the world so they might be on the way up, the Wallabies.
Speaker 1What do you think about the mobile phone gate though, the phone coming out with the Italian ref? I know it
Speaker 2was a bit ridiculous, no sendings off, that's what Leeds does better than rugby, the game's a lot quicker and rugby's got to catch up with that otherwise they'll get lost.
Speaker 1Now when it comes to racing you've got Global Goal and you've always mentioned this girl in a great light, you've had a rap on her and she looks like she's always been a flight stakes horse so you get her to the big race and she gets there what third up from a spell?
Speaker 2Yeah she's um that's the way we planned it and uh with uh Rodney Douglas the manager to get her there there's not a lot of us so she's very clean-winded and uh let's hope um Saturday or staying staying prowess I'll come out and uh she'll get the goods and the group one.
Speaker 1Small field, are you worried but there's a lack of speed on paper or does that not you know bother
Speaker 2you? Very much so it's uh that's the only problem with a small field it looks easy uh for all the runners um you know but because of that you can see them just going around at a sedate pace so we'll have our plan worked out and see what we can do because we'll have to have it and make it into a staying test obviously if we want to be uh beating Bangkok or striking Alibi or whatever else is in the field so let's hope um it gets down to a good test and uh she can show that she can uh stay.
Speaker 1She's like it's like an old rugby championship isn't it from years ago you've got the Kiwis, the South African, David Payne have a spring in his step um look she does hit a little bit of a flat spot or is it fair to say that there is a little visually it looks like there's a bit of a flat spot did the Winkers last start did Dylan say that that helped?
Speaker 2He did say it helped he could have been closer he thought um with them on but she still went through a bit of a flat spot so she's got to get working into it and challenging as you know to to get through that spot and make it into a staying test so everyone will know that on Saturday and um you're going to have good horse like Ben like David's horse up close on speed and Karen knows that horse well and obviously James will be on the other horse the three main dangers but there's probably more could be more chances of that in the race as well so let's home another interesting Dave they're saying rain on the day I don't know our filly hasn't been in it uh we haven't found out about that either that'll be I don't know pin it to those like a wet or whatever so we'll have to find out about that on the day too and
Speaker 1what about uh for future so I know you want to get past this weekend first but you know getting her to 2000 is that something you you'd like to do she's by tides who was a winner up to a mile um so does does she sort of is this going to be her her range just to a mile or can she go further well see
Speaker 2how she does after Saturday you would think a break probably she's in the thousand guineas which is two weeks later as well yeah but I would say looking at her and the way she works and acts a mile's probably going to be her she's not a big type of New Zealand saying filly um so you think mile might be her limit but you never know at three we'll we'll obviously find that out Dave in the autumn where she'll be stronger and we might go out further and see how we

Speaker 2Yeah, lovely colt, really do, was a bit disappointed though, see he's drawn the outside but Molly knows the horse inside and out, if he jumps he'll go forward, if he doesn't back he's a real star spangled banner, there's a lot of reduced choice in the colt and you'll see him in the bird coach on Saturday he's an imposing type of horse and it'll be a big question mark to see how he goes, you know he's done everything right, he worked good on Tuesday and yeah, he'll be up against those good ones but hey, he's cutting well and he's ready to go

Speaker 2Yeah, she'll just go back, first up I'm getting her ready for the four pillows, so I said to Jason Cottle as long as he's running home we'll be happy with her, you know, so yeah, she's just there's a few of these races coming up like that that'll suit some of my horses, so she'll be third up into that race of four pillows after that, and then we've just got the other two on Saturday in the mile Hooligan Tommy went well last start, he's getting ready for the big dance, or the little dance, one of the two and also Palmetto's in the same boat, he's in on Saturday and he's getting ready for the big or little dance
Speaker 1Okay, and a couple going around as well away from lead the charge in Global Goal you've got the two in that mile race on Saturday the fields have just come out too, Hooligan Tommy you've drawn gate 9 and Palmetto you've drawn 15 Yeah,
Speaker 2Palmetto will go forward this time he's an on pace runner, we just got back last start from the draw, but the miles start very open at Ramwick and he'll bowl on over and he'll peak as I said and sort of into the big dance and Hooligan Tommy probably midfield from the draw good run last start he was out for a year with a bone chip injury, but he seems to be coming back to his best, so it wouldn't be a chance especially if the rain comes they both do like it, so that won't worry them Dave
