Joey Graziadei Lifts Us Up

Joey and Connor engage in a lively, heartfelt conversation covering personal experiences, the emotional dynamics of *Dancing with the Stars*, and the importance of joy and positivity in performance. Joey shares his experience playing golf with Noah Khan, viewing it as a meaningful, intimate connection. They reflect on the difficulty of the samba dance, which received harsh criticism despite being a personal triumph, highlighting how feedback can be disheartening even when a performance is strong. Joey emphasizes that the show’s true value lies in the fun, creativity, and emotional connection between contestants and audiences. The discussion also touches on the need for more balanced, encouraging feedback from judges to preserve the show’s spirit. A touching narrative about a cat rescued from a pipe adds warmth, showing how unexpected moments can transform lives and perspectives. The episode concludes with a celebration of resilience, authenticity, and the joy found in both dance and everyday life. Sponsorships for Gooddles, Rocket Money, Jones Road Beauty, Tumble, and The Real Real are integrated naturally, aligning with the hosts’ values of comfort, organization, and personal growth. Throughout, the tone remains uplifting, focused on shared experiences, emotional honesty, and the power of human connection.

Hi guys, welcome to Broken Conor Mega Podcast. Welcome back if you're if you're a return customer. We have a special guest today. Just like such an honor given the circumstances. Yes. You know. We'd be an honor anytime, but especially on a day like this. It's happy to be here. I love you. We're so happy that we have Joey in the studio today. The thing about your last name, Joey, is like I'm not going to say. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. Well, can he go first because he's so afraid of it? And then you can say it correctly. How about you correct him after he says it? I think I can do it. I do want to say with last names, like when I saved people's last names in my phone. I want to look and see how I saved yours because it usually just like this is how I've read it on someone's Instagram handle. So like this is your last name to me. And then you get to the point where you're like you got to introduce to the podcast. You know, you say like you know when like you start to second guess yourself in your head. And I'm like when Lizzy is on the podcast, do not say Michael Pine. Do not say Michael Pine. That's not her name. And then I get ready to say I'm like, what was the thing I wasn't supposed to say? Yeah, Michael Pine. And Joey. Give it a whirl. Grazody. It's not bad. Not bad at all. I would accept it. Yeah. It's it's it. Go ahead. I want to hear like Grazody. Yeah. We have Americanized it as much as possible. It's Grazody. I would never make someone do that. So we just say Grazody. We take out the flare. Grazody. I like that too. Yeah. It's I mean, whatever you feel like saying. It sounds like Italian Thanksgiving Grazody. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like you just kind of got my last name like three years into into us knowing each other. Well, you know my deal with last. I just explained my deal. I know. I know. I know. You have to like you. It is. It is an awful battle. What was I saying? Avert. Yeah. Yeah. But that's fine. Last names aren't easy. Yours is really tough. Let me see. Yeah. Let me see what what I have your last name shaped to my phone as. I have a feeling it's phonetically just very old. Oh, dude. Let me see it. Oh, no. Oh, my God. There's an X in a Y. Yeah. Where the X come from? You had to do that before. I can't believe that's real. No. No. I would not this fraud. Like I truly like growing a dukesy. G-R-A-D-U-E-X-Y. - I don't even know what language that could be. - Hey, this is a legitimate fear of yours. I'm sorry for you. - No, I'm not-- - That's the name blindness. - Yeah, last name blindness truly. - Yeah, well that's why I always do like, okay, we have Joey G here today. - Yeah. - That's why I'm big on like the first letter last name, 'cause last names are hard. - Last names are hard. - Yeah. Okay, well-- - Just really quickly. - Yep. - Before we let Brooke-- - Before we let Brooke-- - Before we let Brooke out of-- - I was gonna say, I was gonna say, how about you start today? - Okay, I just wanna say I was listening to Noah Khan on the way here, like, if you guys heard of Noah Khan, like I just became a huge fan of him, like-- - Last week. - You just joined. - Something, click on my brain. - Great guy. - Really good music. - Yeah, wait, have you guys-- - We played golf before, and I played golf with him, yeah, he's the man. - With who? - With Noah. - I just wanna say like, for a young man to play golf with another young man, I'm trying to compare that, in terms of intimacy, that's truly like, what could I compare that to? - Second base. - A summer's day? - Yeah. - Yeah. It's not like, did I say intimacy? - Yeah. - Oh, that was not the word I was meeting. - Where were you going with it then? - In terms of like-- - Well, there isn't an intimacy there. It doesn't have to be sexual. - It's a great way to meet someone. I mean, it was a friend of a friend, and I was playing with one of my friends, and he came with them, and great guy. Like, we had a great time. He's everything you would think he would be, by the way. Like, probably better. - It's all to the earth. - That's great, as his number one fan now, as of last week. - As of last week, yeah. - Yeah, I'll figure out the metaphor that I was trying to connect from like, golfing with another person to like something else, which maybe I just don't even, you're isolated with someone for 18 halls, which is like four hours, so like-- - It's a great way to meet someone. You learn a lot about them. - Yes. - Well, it's better than coffee too, 'cause if you like, run out of things to talk about, you can talk about the game. And if you drink coffee before hours, you'll shoot your pants and have a heart attack. - Sure. - True. But you might also do that in the golf course. I did that in front of you in the golf course. But-- - Some people might do that. - Some people might. I might be wearing white shorts. I was listening to him today, and I was singing along until you were gonna go far. And I was like, you know what's so crazy? A square is not a rectangle, whatever. You know, that whole thing, a rectangle is not a square, but-- - Is that in the song? - No, but I'm just thinking, Noah Khan could have thrived in the Luminier years. Luminiers, Peter Bjorn, and whatever. Well, I can't think of, you know what I'm saying, right? Like Tumblr years, Noah Khan could have had a career. - Yes. - But like-- - He's doing it now. - He's doing it now. That's a true testament to artistry, songwriting, performance. - Shout out Noah. - And vibes. - Thank you for sharing. I love when you could passionate about something. - It's true though. I mean, he's a very talented artist, and what you're trying to say is no matter what time if you are that good of an artist, you can do it. - That is exactly what I think is trying to say. - Transcendence. - Transcendence. - Transcendence. - Yeah, I mean, I gotta just get like, I could just be here every week trying to like, decipher what Connor sent me to get along on. - Tell me what I meant by intimacy and calm. - I think you were trying to say, it's the best way to meet someone. - I think I got it. It is intimate, I'm with you. - Yeah. - I mean, it is a nice way to meet someone. - You just reminded me of my dream. - Oh my God, no one gives a single shit about that. - Yeah, honestly, I just want you to keep going. - Well, I had a dream that I had moved in with roommates again, and then I had the Amazon people showed up to my door, and they had offered me a choice between a new TV or a new set of golf clubs, and I chose the golf clubs. So thank you, that's my dream. - To the golf club, no. - I've never heard Amazon people give you a choice. They usually come with a package. - Well, it was weird, I was just like, well, I don't need a TV. This is just dumb. I just, I think how are these-- - No, I want you to get everything you need to out. - Why don't you just go ahead? - I don't, well, I was gonna, I obviously need to speak on the WTS. - We have to. - If I may. - I would love to know your thoughts. - Thanks, Joey, some people might not want to hear them, but I would like to give them, and Connor, I want to give you the opportunity to speak first, just about, how are you feeling about everything? - I don't know. - I am a baby, and I had a cold, and couldn't make it to the bar in last night, which is definitely for the best, I think. Just based off of the fact that I made four different black text, or black screen, white text, Instagram posts that I didn't end up posting, like that. - Can I read through your Instagram stories in terms of frames? - Really upset. - You were not the fact to me. I was ready to get the live commentary. - I should have pushed through, but it really, like, it's good I wasn't there, because I want to be allowed to go back. - I get it, I want to go back. - Yeah, you can read through, Connor. I was being very, I was being so good. - On her Instagram, sorry. - Yeah. - Found a live stream. - Shocks. - Next one is a picture of Riley and I. They're amazing, my chest looks really good, isn't it? - Yeah. - They're amazing, I'll bite my tongue until it bleeds, XX. Next one, black screen, I have turned off the program for the time being. And then a lot of frames of people's responses. - Oh yeah. - And then you said-- - Letting other people do the fight for it. - Exactly. - Smart, and then I really shouldn't redo the rest, but you remind people to vote and you know what's funny? It was like last night-- - POV me biting my tongue by making 18 Instagram stories, but I mean, moral of the story is just like you're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing. You are, and I see a lot of people saying this, like you're the embodiment of dancing with the stars. Like you go on and you just, you give it your all every single week, and you are a joy to watch, truly. And I think, and you're better every week, and it's just, we're very blessed to be in a timeline where we're watching you dance. So thank you for doing that. - Thank you for allowing me. - And that's what I have to say about you. And I personally, personally thought, but last night was one of your best. - I think you can make the argument it was his best thing. - I think you could. - If you look at like the difficulty of it, and what you had to do, the amount of content you had, I think you can clearly say it was your best dance, and you know that 'cause you told me after how good you felt after. - And the-- - Joey can't identify with my parents. - Oh, that's really sweet. - It was really nice. We got to debrief it all. - Oh, I should-- - You should have been there. - I know, I should have been there. I really should have. But what hurts me is, I, myself watched dance and said, that's his best dance. I saw how excited you and Riley were. I saw like you had a big hug and just the biggest, the smiles on your faces. And I know that you felt the same way. And everyone felt the same way. Everyone was so excited. And then it's just like spirit crushed. That's the problem that I'm having is like, you have said so many times. Joey, you've said everyone says like, this is supposed to be fun. And I feel like we lose that a little bit when the judges give their feedback. 'Cause I feel like we're missing like active critiques. and we're just like, putting a damper on the fun. That's how I-- I feel that it was very well said. I don't think it was mean at all. I think for giving context on dancing with the stars, with maybe some viewers haven't known, you obviously getting you to the show. That style always gets crushed. It's very rare for someone to do a somba and then not to get critical on the technique. I think it was unfortunate that that was probably maybe the best you could have done a somba and I think they should have given a little more love to that. But you went after Amber did hers and it was a it's a hard dance. I got ripped for my somba. I was the only one to do somba on my season when I did it and no one I got ripped for the technique on it too. And Jenna and I had the same feeling you and Riley had. We were so excited. We did it the best we possibly could. And that is disheartening. But the key is to keep smiling through it, which I think you guys did because it was a really good dance for you guys. And sometimes having online presence after going to the comments section, I think you guys had like 3,000 more comments on your post than everyone else did because people are upset that you got underscored. That is sometimes better than even getting a high score. We had the same thing happen our season on the somba and then it just kind of lifted us up throughout the rest of the competition. So that's how you have to like look at. - Yeah, that's so true. And maybe like maybe that's why they're doing it. I don't know. I don't know how like production works or the minds of the judges. But like maybe they're like let's give everyone else the opportunity to just really lift him up. I don't know. I literally don't. I'm rock my brain. - Let them lift him up. - Let's let us not do it. And let's let them do it. So I don't know, man. I mean, I am just, you know, going in circles trying to think of like why? Why my friend is not in the score city deserves, but? - I will say, this will be the only time I respond in this sort of way. I think that disheartening is a good way to put it just because the Samba, and it being like a harder cell dance, I was expecting them to be like, like you did the Samba. You know, like, and there was kind of no mention of like the level of difficulty of that dance and not having any dance experience and like coming into this genuinely like ground zero. So that was kind of like, oh, but did you see the, the dance, you know, like, I know it wasn't perfect. You know, like I'm not, I'm not claiming. It was perfect, but like leading up to that, it was just, it was an uphill battle for the whole week. I was like, I'm not gonna learn, I can't learn this. I was sick as a dog the whole week. And like, I was just, it was just a tough week. So for us getting through that, the like joy was like, oh, we didn't, I didn't mess up the like technical parts. We're gonna keep going out there and doing, you know, like exactly what we're doing. I'm gonna go learn the dances, you know? Like that's like, that's all you can do. And have fun doing it. - And have fun. - That is the most important thing. That's why people are loving watching it. You have no experience, you're having fun doing it. That is what it's all about. It's gonna embrace it. You're gonna wear a go-t. Like no one talked enough of the fact that it didn't comment on your go-t was a mistake. - Well, Derek did before giving me this. - Good. - I'm glad. Yeah, it's, I am okay. The judges' feedback is not gonna ever break my spit. Like it's not because when we feel good, you know, I beat myself up more the previous week when that dance like was the, you know, the ground hump heard round the world. You know, I walked off that and I was like, I messed up so many freaking steps. Like I was like, oh, so bombed. And I walked off last night like, I feel good about that. And I'm my harshest critic. Of course, and I watch, I can't watch any of these dances back. I watch back last night, I was like, oh, like I had a little bit of a disconnect like, truly, it's me dancing. And I usually, I watch back and I'm like, this guy is disgusting when I watch back my dances. I'm like, he's foul. I watch back last night and I was like, literally I am removed from that person dancing 'cause that is not me. And I was like, oh, like, that was pretty good. Like I didn't see any. That's all you can do. So I mean, I don't know. It's whatever, I think it's a good place to be in before you get into a dedication. And I don't know, can I say my dance break? That is, we've confirmed that we can say. So next week is Vini's Waltz, which we talked about last night. It's just like, it's slower. I think that's what they wanna see from you too. So I think that'll be good. Yeah, you had the whole leading man thing. That's the dance where you're gonna have to lead. It's slower so you can really focus on the movements. I think that was the hardest part of the samba. It's so fast that sometimes you get lost in it. I think you're going to enjoy practice this week more. I think you're gonna enjoy the rehearsals too. Because now you get to do a completely different style. I think it's gonna be your best dance. I'll put money on it right now. I think I see eights in your future. I'll say it. I think it's gonna happen. Wow, this is the space to say that. I know, I see it coming. Well, I love you for that. And I feel it too. It's time. It's time. We got a good time. We got a good time. It's time to say the score is the proof. You know, it's so embarrassing. Like, this gives me the ex so bad. Like, you guys think you saw my face reacting to the scores. We were getting, I was reacting to how Icted out. I was like, I finished the dance and I was like, oh my God, we just got a nine. (laughing) And you know what else is so crazy? I wanna tell everybody this. So lastly, there's a guest judge. I love him. Joe Buck. I love Joe Buck. Well spoken. You said it last night. What did you say about him being a guest judge? So it is hard to be a guest judge on the show. It's definitely one of the tough positions because you have to, they don't know anything about dancing. It's very rare that they do, but Joe embraced it. He was short and concise because he was a professional. And the scoring of the guest judge is very clear in my opinion. You have to give love to people, but you can't be sporadic. There has to be some type of strategy. He, not once, was more than one point above the next judge or in a lot of times he had the same scores another judge. He crushed it. He was always the highest number, but he never went too high and he never was too low. He was consistently every time on the number. He was, in my opinion, the best guest judge I've seen on the show. And you could tell he really loved the show and watched it. Hey guys, we wanna take a quick break to think the sponsor of today's episode, Gooddles. I feel like Mac and Cheese is one of those foods that you can never grow out of loving. It's the ultimate comfort food. And honestly, sometimes nothing else hits the spot. And Gooddles has somehow made Mac and Cheese even better. It has that same cheesy, delicious taste. We all grew up loving, but it's packed with protein and nutrients. I've been loving Gooddles, especially their single serve Mac and Cheese Cups because a lot of times I'm popping in and out of my apartment. All I have time for is I get 30 seconds snack. This is perfect. I love keeping them stocked at home 'cause they're easy in the ready in just minutes. And it's so much easier than having a cook something and don't get me started about waiting for a delivery. And my favorite flavor is Chetty Mac. It's creamy, it's cheesy, and it genuinely, it tastes very good. If not better, then just regular Mac and Cheese. And the best part is that Gooddles isn't just delicious. Their Mac and Cheese Cups have 10 or more grams of protein, plus fiber with prebiotics and vitamins and minerals from real plant sources. Gooddles is also a low glycemic index food, which means you get steady energy instead of that carb crash you sometimes get after eating pasta. They also have so many other great products, including regular pasta, their neutrally Mac, and even vegan and gluten free options. I feel like Gooddles is the perfect combination of convenience and comfort food. Like you get something that tastes amazing. It's ready in minutes and it has nutrients you can feel good about. I need to justify almost everything I eat. So this is like a good little snack for me. Maybe you haven't tried Gooddles yet. Now is the time. Pick up Gooddles on your next shopping trip. It's available nationwide at Target and Walmart, plus many other grocery stores and retailers. And don't forget the single serve cups. - Hey guys, we wanna take a quick break to think a sponsor today's episode, Rocket Money. I feel like one of the worst parts of being an adult is having to constantly keep track of where your money is going. Between subscriptions, bills, and all those random little purchases throughout the week. It's so easy to lose track of how much you're actually spending. And that's exactly why Rocket Money is such a helpful tool. - I feel like subscriptions are especially easy to forget about. I have a ton that I look at. When I downloaded that star app the other day, I was like, "Oh my God, why is this $15?" And I had to remember to go through the subscriptions to unsubscribe to that. And then I woke up there and I was like, "Oh my God, there's so many." But Rocket Money helps you see all your subscriptions in one place so you can figure out which ones you don't actually use and which ones you don't need anymore. And if there's something that you wanna cancel, you can do it right in the app with just a few taps. - I also love the idea of being able to see all your spending organized in one place instead of having you go through every transaction yourself. - Rocket Money automatically categorizes your transactions so you can actually see where your money's going and make smarter decisions about your spending. It's such an easy way to get more organized with your finances and start working towards your saving goals. - Rocket Money is a personal finance app that helps find and cancel unwanted subscriptions, monitors your spending and helps lower your bills so you can grow your savings. Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. Join at RocketMoney.com/BNC. And he had really, he just had really good and concise and kind feedback. I love him for it. Obviously, that was my set. I'll bring him back. Yeah. I think so too. And then this is the last thing I'll say about the dance unless we have anything else. Oh, I do have one more thing you say. You talk. It was just like a fun performance. Like I literally went out there and I was like, that was the first answer I went out and I was like, let's just like show them our dance. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like we've been practicing this dance. Let's show it to them. You know? Like it truly felt like, I don't know if you guys ever did this. Like I think there was one year when Shrek came out. I remember being in Michigan with my cousins and we were in their basement and we came up with a dance. And it was a lot of flips and stuff. Fun. But it was that typical like, we have to, everyone said down in the living room. We were working on something downstairs. It's a big moment. Everyone said down. And then we proceed to do a bunch of bullshit. And then we were like, so there, there's our dance. You know? And that's what I felt like last time it was kind of like, you know, we want our friends to sleep over. We made this dance for you. Can we show you dance? Yeah. It was truly just like a performance piece. And there was the, I will say every time I do, every time I take a creative leap in terms of facial hair or like the mullet, I do not get as much love. The mullet. I've given you love. The mullet was incredible. The first week or the second week when we did the tango and I heard my hair slicked back and whatever got a lot, I looked at my answer and I went, you know, you'd have a little pop every week. I looked after the mullet week and I had about 20 new followers. After the 16 million viewers viewed the dance. It's interesting. I'm going to go bare face the next week and just kind of my natural love. I think you might have to go even deeper. I think we need to do something that's a little bit more aggressive. Yeah. Something that's just a little bit more aggressive and see how far you can go maybe. Ponytail. Mm-hmm. It could be good. Okay. I like it. Phoenix walls. It's a dedication night. Ponytail. Ponytail. Ponytail. Don't know that's the week to do it. Maybe we have to wait a little bit longer. I do think you should be bare face for the walls. Yes. I agree. It's serious coming out next week. Yeah. If you don't mind me. I like it. What is your sweater? This is a peanut muller. Oh my god. My pop-up loves him. Yeah. He is the person. Yeah. Is he? I don't know. Has anyone ever met Peter? Well he's got to be. He's got to be a person. At one point Peter was a person. Yeah. Peter was a Piper. They didn't just make up. For sure. His name I don't think. I suppose I was asking him. No, I mean in my LLAR. Two L's AR. I feel like he's like a real golfers love him. Yeah. Yeah. And he golfs with no. I do golf. Oh I know. You know what a real guy. He's not a real person. Why did they just, where did the name come from? That's a wild business choice. Yeah. That's really it. We're going to name our company after a guy that doesn't exist. Kind of cool. He named the company Peter Mullar because it sounded European. Okay. Me as that. Yeah. This sounds this sounds European. Okay. That I mean you're talking to two people who named their podcast their name. Yeah. And that's the placeholder and it kind of just stuck. Good. No. That actually blows my mind. I would be honest. I really thought it was a person. Yeah. Why would it not be? But I guess no. Now we know. Okay. Okay. Two more real like really quick things. I keep like. Look up Peter Mullar. See if it's real. You're trying to delay me. But I'm, I really what I have to say is not bad except for it is a direct message to the judges. But I have to say it's not bad. But if you, if you're any of the judges, hey, listen up. This is a PSI right to you. I will, I, you know, I used to be a teacher. And you know, we learn that when you're giving feedback, you, you always, you need to start with one nice thing to say. And it does seem like they're doing that for most people. So I want to hear a nice thing that you might have to say about my friend Connor who's working really hard. So it, it's always nice to hear nice things. And then you can, you can give your more critical feedback. But let's not forget about the nice parts. And the second thing, is that fine to say? I think that's very fair. And that's very fair, right? Yeah, I think so. I think so. Yeah. I wouldn't mind like a little positivity sprinkle that. And I'm asking an ounce. And then you can give your, then you can give some feedback. High blood. That was the first time I fully black. Like I literally was like, there's nothing worse when you feel good. And then you can tell from the judges to mean it right away. I, I, I clocked at with Dylan. I was sitting there. We were like, that was great. And I looked at the judge. I was like, Oh, no. Well, the, the, like, there are good dancers and they're a bad dad. That's what that's that's what I do. That's tough. I would know then, then you go on your head and you're like, Oh, my God. What did, what did that? I miss a section. Like I literally was in my head like, what did I do? What my play back that they played when they were criticizing? I was like, so tell us what's wrong with the playback. I wasn't a playback. Part of you doing the dance. But screen while you're doing the dancing. No, but I, I know because they have slow motion to my f ups every week. And, but what they slow motion, it was just, it wasn't an f up. So that's why it was confusing. Like they didn't say anything, didn't say anything. Yeah. I saw the first comment I read this morning. I'm done after this. I'm done. Okay. Like, I'm done because like, I'm becoming a masochist and like, I don't think I enjoy this. But like, obviously it does something in my brain that like, turns me on, not sexually, but well, maybe, I don't know. We, we will find out. Um, like the first comment was like, Papa, we love you, butt and I go, baby, no, but let me take your phone. I did. The humanity that I've been getting please tell Connor to unblock me. I mean, I know, like I, I am not blocking people willy-neely. I've asked for zero constructive criticism from anyone outside of the judges. Yeah, it's fair. Like if you handed to me, you're supposed to be sending love to my comment. You have lost access. Unfortunately, you come into my comment section and say, I haven't really been noticing any improvement. I know the exact comment you're talking about. I blocked her too. Well, you're, you're gone now. I'm allowed anymore, which is good. Yeah. Well, hopefully you learn your lesson and maybe you can make a second Instagram account and that is going to be difficult. Papa has to be led with positivity. Yeah. It can't be negativity. No, and it's just, it was like, I haven't really been noticing improvement. I want to remind you that dancers are different dancers. Like, you can't notice improvement from my past, my past song, but because I haven't done a song, but ever in my life. I will say I think moving forward, you are not going to get the same criticism you did last night. I feel like that is different now. Like you, you, that is the dance that, on my season, I was the only one that did Asamba because everyone was afraid of getting ripped apart for Asamba. Asamba is not a very common dance people do on the show because they know how hard it is to learn in a week. The pros are a lot of times afraid to teach Asamba. So you're, you're going to be in a better spot moving forward. I pray. I, I made a pretty shout out to Riley also by. Yeah. Yeah. It was like, she really is so amazing. Her choreography is so amazing. She's such a good teacher. And I loved how she got up there last night. I was like, he's never danced before. I was, I like, binder. Awesome reminder, my love. She got what? She got mama barrel. That's what we were talking of it. And I was like, she got a mama bear. She, yeah, I don't care that my mic's on. And I go, I didn't even hear what you said. And she says, okay, well, yeah, she's, she's so wonderful. She's, yeah, she got mama bear last night. Um, there are ups and downs. Totally. You're, and you're riding the waves like a, like, I'm going to be okay. What week are we going into right now? Six. So we're the halfway. This was where I questioned if I enjoyed it too. And I think you're going through that where it's like you're starting to get critical. Just keep having fun, dude. That's what you're so made me have more fun. I am, I am having great. And like, I am, you're not going to can't, you're not going to catch me comparing myself to anyone else in my season. There's no comparison. I truly came on with nothing. This is incredible. Like, yeah, truly, I am Spider-Man. Like, this is like, the stuff that's happened. One, one thing, learn the song in a week. I was sick. I took a day, one thing, one thing. I was sick. I went to Dallas for a day, which like, you take a day off of practice in this competition. It is like taking, it's like dog years, you know, like, it's like taking an extended amount of time. I went because of Dallas cheerleaders. That's a once in a lifetime thing. That's a group of young women that are incredible to me. I have to go dance with my girls. That was, you know, fair. Could have been a bad week to do it, but fair. Bad week to do it. Dylan said, last night at dinner, he goes, when I saw that you went to Dallas, I said, usually, you know, I hold back because I know that you guys are okay with votes. I hold back on reminding people to vote for Connor. I went ahead and posted vote for Connor in my story this week because I thought that you might need it. He's a good guy. Yeah. Dylan is so smart. Like, Dylan is all strategy, isn't he? is so strategic and it's amazing. When you see like a show like Dancing with the Stars where you don't think a strategy, that man has, he has found a code. - He has. - It's impressive. He was last night, we were, he literally set at the table last night. He was like, "Joey was good at dancing. I was good at strategy." I was like, "Thank you for saying that." But I didn't realize how much you thought through this and he had, I mean, he was telling everything. I was like, "Damn, like I wish I thought of it this much." - Yeah. - He's a thinker. - That's why he won Tredder. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Really, really good. - Exactly. - He's incredible. I also, I was about to say something else related, but I was in terms of ups and downs. I went to lunch with Ezra the other day and I'm sitting in the car and we're talking, he's obviously like a rave sunshine. And he's always like, he should be, first of all, I'm saying you need to run for office. - Yes. - You'd be a great bachelor unfortunately, too young. - How old do you have to be to be the bachelor? - It's just like, we would be weird to put a 21 year old as the bachelor. - It'd be a tough spot. I don't think there is a age limit, but it's supposed to be like, obviously, serious about getting married. I wouldn't be serious getting married at 21. - No, it'd be a fun dating show. - Fun dating show. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It would be weird to put, and I don't, you know. - I feel like they could make a show just for Ezra. - They should. - Yeah. - I met him for the first time last night. - Yeah, I love him. - Mary Freck kill. - Oh. - Oh. - Yeah. - Wow. - That's really good. - Wow. - Now I'm talking to him about. That was really good. - Really good. I'm talking to him about ups and downs of the show, and I say, we're driving. I'm driving the young man. And I'm like, you know, man, I know you can't relate to this, but this season has been a lot of ups and downs for me. And like in terms of dancing, I have good dance to have bad dances, and I know that you've been crushing all season, so that's hard to relate to for you. And he goes, yeah, I guess in terms of dance, it's hard to relate to. But in my life, I've had ups and downs, and I go, I almost crashed right into the pink wall. I was like, oh, but I just shouldn't have talked. Yeah, he go. - Yeah. - Yeah, sure, yeah. Got it. - Yeah, for God's sake. - Jones on third. - Four more minutes away. - Yeah, that's hard. - Okay, how do I continue? - That's hard. - But let's talk more about my dancing. You just have to run right back into it, double down. - Yeah. - For one, for one. - But he is, he truly, like, I told him, like, you should run for office. I don't know how old you have to be to be mayor, but like, he could be mayor. - There's no rules. - He's just, he's an incredible, I don't think that's for mayor. - Oh. - Is there actually a rule? - I know it's 35 for president. - Wasn't there like TV shows where there's like, 18-year-old mayor? Was that the city mayor? - Was it TV show thing? - Or yeah. - Corey in the house, yeah. - He just lived in the White House. - Oh. - Why did he live in the White House? Because Victor was the chef. - That was something. Oh, here we go. - Me, thank you, Corey. - We're all one B-A-U-S citizen, check. - Oh, there we go. - Wait, is this for mayor? Be a registered voter, okay. Not have been convicted of a felony, but blah, blah, blah. Not have served two terms in office, okay. - Okay, so no aid. - So are we starting our campaign for as we're being mayor right now? - Yeah, like, should we throw his hat in the ring? - I think we should. We might be a little late to the ring right now. - Based on how his fans are, I would not be surprised if we saw an uptick in terms of like, people moving to LA so that they can be a registered voter here. - That's a way to get people to the polls. - Honestly. - Yeah. - New pipeline, dancing with the stars to mayor. - Yeah, exactly. That's the pipeline we haven't done yet. There's so many pipelines happening. - Yes. - That one is new. - I agree. - I have one last thing to say. - Circle back by part time. - I'm not even kidding. And then I wanna talk about Joey 'cause I have a lot of things to say there as well. - Oh, man. - There was an edit. I saw this morning of view to the song, and I know, have you ever seen the greatest showman? - Love it, one of my favorite movies. - I have not. I think I need to watch it. - You need to edit. - And I wanna talk about it after. - Okay. - As someone who hasn't seen it. - I think you would really enjoy it. Now that especially 'cause now you're into this whole pageantry advancing with the stars, yeah, you are a showman now. - It's one of my favorite movies, and there's this song in it called Never Enough. - It's a beautiful song. - Oh my god, I know what you're talking about. I cried last time. - Someone made an edit of you to it. - I mean, I literally, it's one of my favorite songs. - Did he be so sad? - I literally, I put my hand over my heart like it was the Pledge of Allegiance. - It was drenched in sweat. - Can we watch? It's like so emotional. - I want to see this now 'cause I love that song, and I wanna feel emotion about Conor Dancing. - Is it in my reposts? - It is. (laughing) - It's at the top of my page. - It's glitter, it's so emotional. - You already saw this at it. I'm the only one that has a memo. - You have, I think, because I remember thinking like, glitter, yeah, that's the one where I look like. (laughing) - Talk about the ghost. - I'm really like, "Hi, I was behind this 7-Eleven before this." - It's just what it's all about. (audience laughs) - Oh, it does make me really sad. - It's like, it's devastating, but also like, it's devastating, it's devastating period. - It's getting you in your field, it's letting you-- - It definitely gets me for you. - I feel like I was you getting my judges' score. - Exactly, it puts you, like I'm so high-impathed, like that's really like you're right there with you. And that and so that is going completely viral. - I know, it makes me very sad. - It does, like I'm genuinely being serious and I'm like, I am disconnected from right now, like I'm looking at him, like, oh, it makes me, you know what I'm saying? You see, like, we are putting a lot of work into this, you know, it's kind of devastating and like, soul crush, you know, it's, it's-- - You were doing crush. - Everything you can be doing right now and just keep telling yourself that. That's all that, it's all about it. - All we do in practice is like, Riley reminds me, remember the judges said strong arms this week, remember judges said like isolate your upper body this and I'm like, okay, cool, so when I go on to the thing, I'm like, do that, do that. But then it's always like, you know, like, and I'm not complaining, it is good to have feedback. But like there's no recognition for like the things that we fixed, you know, but it was what you said. But anyways, onward, onward, upward, upward, upward, upward or whatever. - Anyway, enough of that. - Oh man, we can talk about that all day. - I know, but. - Did you just get a cat? - I did, not willingly, but the cat distribution system, have you heard about this? - Oh, I've heard. - See, now you need to teach me about it 'cause it's all that people are talking about now. - I have not, my two cats, I have two cats, before I got my cats, I was like, I don't like cats, I'll never get a cat. Now I have two cats and they're like the loves of my life. - I'm down bad right now, to give context of what happened. I was out to dinner with friends. Kelsey, my lovely fiance, was at an event and she, who doesn't love Kelsey? - Yeah, that's true. - She got home from an event and got dropped off outside of her place in it, Uber. And we were in like a nice little, I don't know, condominium kind of set up and there was a gate to before you get in and on the outside there was a pipe. And if you go look at her Instagram, you will see the video, but it would, it sounds like there was a pipe outside. There was a pipe outside. Here it is, look it, doesn't it? Listen to this though. It doesn't even sound like a cat. - No, it doesn't. It sounds like a frog. - Sounds like a frog. So you can listen on this. If you listen closely, that video is when she saw the cat for the first time and she freaked out. So of course, she's super woman and goes and saves this cat, eats it into a box and I saw her kind of like jumping into the box. - She got, look at her, lure it out. By the way, Brooke, look what she's holding to lure it out. - What did she hold it? - You will see in a second. - What y'all think of it? I look like a crazy person right now. So, like in the bite. - I better get this one. - Is that a charm? - It looks, also the music starts right when the charm comes out. The cutest kitten ever, by the way. - Oh. - Yeah, she used it. - What's the rest of 'em? - Oh. - She's going to the box. - Box. - Yeah, like that's your worst. - That's like perfect cat. - Oh. - She's adorable. We took it to the vet, completely healthy, like five to six weeks. I don't know how. This is her surprising me with it. - That's a girl from Indiana. - Wait, I haven't seen this. - That is a girl from Louisiana. She said, "Let me put my rain boots on in my dress and get this cat out the pipe." - Oh. - Jesus. - Oh, she's perfect. - She's adorable. This is me realizing as Kelly's taking a video. This is our child now. - Did you imprint on her right away? - I mean, look at her. - I look at her. - And look at the ending video. This was the next day, and Kelsey just, like, knows. - Yeah, that's your daughter. - Making business calls and having a cat just lay on me, and I'm like, "Okay, now I'm hooked." So yeah, we obviously, that's the story of it. That's how our Saturday changed. My Sunday was just sitting watching football with my new child, and I'm obsessed with her. We named her. Everyone wants us to name her Piper, because she was found a pipe. So now that's her middle name, though, because I was given one thing. Kelsey said, "I can name her if we get the keeper." And I think human names are hysterical for a cat. So I named her Rebecca, and we call her Becky. So her name is Rebecca Piper-Grozden, and she is now ours. - Rebecca Piper-Grozden. - Maybe we could set her up with my cat, Robert. - Yeah, I would love that. - Yeah, that could be really cute. - Can we have a kid he played it? - I think, my cats are really good with other cats. - I love them. - I bet Rebecca will be cute. - Well, we also need to do this. I'm finding out when you have a kitten. You have to, like, there has to be a exposed therapy. We have to start getting her comfortable. I'm just trying to keep her alive right now. - Yeah, that's just worried about that. - She's like five to six weeks. My current fear that I'm trying to process through is the smell of cats. I don't want to be one of those people that get used to the smell and someone walks into our house and be like, "Oh, an animal lives here." That's my nightmare. So I don't know if you have a way through this. I'm taking all tips I can possibly get. I don't want to have a cat smelling household. I don't know how to do this. - So my therapist, I had the exact same worry when I was thinking about getting a pet. And she said something that kind of changed my life. And she was like, "Well, if you have a cat, your house might smell like a cat." And, like, that's just is what it is. - So I just have to see the other side. - It might just smell like a cat. And it's like, that doesn't mean you're gross. It means you have a cat. - Have they not? I don't think it smells like a cat. - But what do you think my apartment smells like? - Your apartment doesn't, this apartment doesn't smell. - The last one. - The last one did. - It showed it. - The last one didn't have a cat. Are you talking about my guinea pig? - They didn't even have a cat. - Yeah. - Talking about my guinea pig. - Yeah, that was, I was not, once, I shouldn't have had a cat again. It's not a cat, I shouldn't have had a cat. - I think, you know what, I'm gonna be thinking about your apartment. There are, there are like, people in smaller apartments that like, I don't smell anything in your current apartment. I was asking, 'cause your house won't smell like a cat. I think it smells like a litter box. But like, I think they make things now. Like, your litter box is so clean. - Well, you need to get a litter robot. - The robot. - Yeah. - The litter robot is the answer. - Cats doesn't smell like cats. I think that people, it just depends on if you clean the litter box or not. - I mean, we are very clean people. We want our house to smell clean, so I'm very worried, it's new. And I haven't really thought about that when I was, 'cause she wanted a cat for a while. So I did think initially she might have put the cat in the pipe, but now I've gotten past that theory, 'cause who would do that, but that was scary at first. She brought up the fact that she wanted a cat like a month before, and now she just finds cats and pipes. This is crazy. - That's funny. - That is crazy. - Yeah, I didn't get in that pipe. - I don't know, we looked, it was raining that night, and there's like a little drainage on the curb, so I think it just kind of, but it's six weeks and it's completely healthy by now. - I don't get it. Because there's so many things online, especially like on my free page that are like, if you do this, your cat will die. And it's like, if you give your cat a bite of this, a bite of this, and it's like, how are so many cats surviving in the wild if you're telling me that every single thing I do in my home is gonna kill my cat? - I feel like that's also the web at the end of the world. - Or resilient, exactly. - Like everyone thinks we're gonna die, but yeah, Kelsey wanted to put teacher oil on her, found out, doesn't have the ability to process those enzymes, could have killed her. I'm like, hey, like this is scary. - Yeah. - Everything online is really scary. And of course, like, do your research and everything, but I do think it is. - They're resilient. - Yeah, they're resilient and most things are just like, trying to scare you, but it's also, you know, good to be a little bit scared. - Avoid the stuff. - But, we have a baby now. - That's amazing. - I think we've been poisoned as a society against cats. Because, did you think for one second that, like, that cat was gonna be as cuddly-ish? - No. - You don't think cats are like that? - I also grew up with cats, and I lived in like a farmhouse, and we had outdoor cats, and it was very, I think that was why I had a negative perception, was the cats we had were probably fending for themselves outside all the time, and when they were inside, they were sitting under a chair waiting for me to come by to attack my ankles, and I'm like, I hate this. - Right. - So that changed me. Now that I have an indoor cat that is adorable and cuddly, I can't wait to get the home to zero completely. - Completely. - So I'm down bad. - Yeah, I love cats. I'm so glad that we have another person on the cat. - Hey, I'll start the movement if you need to. - Dave Franco is doing a really good job. Have you seen anything that he said about cats? - No, but I'm expecting my algorithms about the change for me. - You're about to start seeing a lot of Dave Franco is advocating for the cat community, and just kind of reframing the narrative of cats usually being shown as the villains in media, and he's completely flipping that on its head. He's doing great work and knowing how you are. - I'm a cat advocate now. - We're so appreciative of you and your daughter and Kelsey, and welcome to the community. - I'm really happy to be here. - We're happy to have you. - Was my dad telling you a story about our cat last night falling into a pipe? He had a whole story about a buddy of his that had to rescue a cat, and pretty much it had no leg, no eye, a lot of things were wrong with it, and he pretty much told me if I didn't keep the cat I would be an asshole, because when you a cat is given to you, so your dad pretty much called me out, and he was laughing at the fact that his friend called the cat lucky, because it had all those things wrong. - Oh, that's cute. - It was pretty cute. - Yeah, 'cause I'm listening to Dylan. Dylan's talking to me, but I'm hearing my dad be like, "Yep, one eye, one leg," and I'm like, "Oh, Joey, I'm sorry." And I couldn't look away from Dylan, 'cause Dylan's trying to give me advice. - Dylan's doing full strategy. - Well, I thought he was talking about one leg, one eye. I was like, "I hope he's not telling you this story, "because it came to me last night." There was one time we were coming back, I was in our, like, outside of our little town in Texas, and we're coming back, and we're leaving church, and I think my parents were feeling like good Samaritan vibe, and they were like, "Let's pick those people up, "they're on the side of the road." And they were in all black, and they got in, and they smelled, like my old apartment. No, like it was like sharp cheddar, but it was like foul. It was making everyone we couldn't talk to you. It was like you couldn't breathe out of your nose because of the smell, but you couldn't breathe out of your mouth because you could taste them. And then they pretty quickly let us know that they were witches. And you just picked them up. Yeah, we had 20 minutes in the car. And it was not a three row type of car. It was more of just two rows. So I was in the middle and there was one witch on one side and a witch on the other side of me. I was planning to meet a witch. Oh, they were wickens. I'm sorry. Not witches. What's the difference? As you can, we look up the Google version of witches versus wickens. I don't want to speak to any community. This is a very good question. It's good to know. They're very different, I guess. Wicked is a modern earth-based religion, well witchcraft is practical craft of energy and spells. Well, wickens may practice witchcraft and consider themselves witches, not okay. Another square versus rectangle. I like this last line, not all witches are wickens. That sounds like a bumper sticker. But all wickens are witches? I think so. If you practice witchcraft, you're a witch. But you can be a wick in. I don't get this. Can we look up neither? Wickens need to smell. Do wickens smell of sharp cheddar? What do wickens smell like? Do they do magic? That's my question. This would be crazy. No, wickens do not smell like cheddar. Wickens are people who practice a modern. Okay. Well, I am going to get in trouble for that, and they do smell like any other human being depending on the soap. If there's a group I do not want coming after me, you should clear up now. Sorry to the wickens. I'm sorry. That's a bad group to have come after you. How did we get here again? So I was going to say I was a solid question. So we adopted our cat from a barn and it was an outdoor cat and it did not want to be inside. So we had an outdoor cat knit fell into a hole and to get it out of the hole and it was a deep, deep hole. We had to put like a plank of a long two by four down and it crawled up the wood. And it's amazing that cats can just like crawled out and just leaves. No, thank you. Just out. And it would catch fish out of the lake and it would kill snakes because there was a lot of snakes in Texas where we're from. And the other day I'm walking through Santa Monica and I hear a rustling in a trash can. And it's an area of Santa Monica in the palisades park right up where the cliff is and I was on a walk and it was a kind of sunset. And I'm like, there's a lot of ground squirrels there and they're very friendly. These ground squirrels, they will eat out of your hand and stuff. And I'm like, oh my gosh, there's a ground squirrel in the trash can. I need to help it. So I go and I look in the trash can like this and it's two rats. And they're in a deep trash can and I'm like, and they're trying to get out. I like rats. I do too. Yeah. You're not going to be, you're not going to, it's the tail that's the problem. The tail is definitely the problem. What movie was it where they lit the bucket on fire on someone and the rat ate through them? Was that fast and furious? I don't know, I haven't seen that. That was why I don't like that. That would be hard to see. Yeah, they like, they like made it eat through the person down on rats. Well, I haven't seen that so I like rats. Okay, that's fair. Yeah. I have reasons. Yeah, you leave out reason. So I do, you know, I have that thing, I just feel bad for them because it's like what makes them different than like a squirrel or their tail and their teeth and the fact that they eat garbage. A few of those squirrels eat garbage, right? I don't know. I feel like they eat nuts. Yeah. I bet a rat would like a nut if we gave it to him. Maybe it just got the wrong territory. I just think they're kind of missing. I bet like in a few years, we're going to have the experience with rats, the people have rats. I think you guys are being a little classist towards rodents. I'm not a rodent guy. I'm not a rodent. Oh, you are advocate. You're advocate. She wants to be, she wants to start the campaign like cats. I'm going to be on the other side. I think I'm joining this group. Okay. I wish you the best of luck. Thank you. But we need to know what Connor did with these rats. I mean, just, I think good, good to circle back to that, yeah. So all of a sudden, suddenly and all at once, I'm flooded with the memory of the cat and the hole. Not to be confused with the cat and the hat. The cat and the hole. And I'm like, okay, I need to find a tool for them to use, Miska Muska Mickey Mouse. I need to make them a ramp or something to get out. And I walk, grace of God, I find a bunch of cardboard kind of just on top of another trash can. So I roll it out kind of like this, this long. And I walk up to the trash can to put it in. And at that moment, I started sliding in the rats jump out and at me, both of them, they were not trapped at all. No, that's their, that's their home base. They were probably waiting. They were totally fine. They were, they're fine in the trash can. Nothing at all. Yeah. They almost got out of the house. Yeah. I'm like, oh my God. You like, I have a video of it. I'll show it to you after. Please, please show me because I'm, that's one of my biggest fears is rats. I'm not a fan of rats and raccoons. I don't mess with either of them. A raccoons do scare me a little bit. Yeah, I can't do raccoons. They kind of are like monsters. They are. A little bit like they look like if they're the closest animal to them. Don't they have thumbs? Nothing. Yeah. Not a fan. I think, or I don't know. I think they have thumbs. Probably. I don't know. They do scare me a little bit, raccoons. But I bet if I knew one as a baby, and I met one as a baby and grew up with me, I bet I could love it. A domesticated. I think, if I, I think anything, if I domesticated it, I would, it could fall. See, the whole issue with raccoons comes back to cats with me. We had outdoor cats. I'm taking out the trash at night. Yeah. I feel something brush up against my leg. I go down to Pettit and it was like that scene in Elf where the raccoon gets up on all fours and hisses at you. Yeah. Yeah. Thought it was my cat was a raccoon. Hate raccoons. Yeah. Did it get you? No. I ran like a little girl. They can give you rabies. Yeah. That's fair. Rats are just so small. It's like they can't hurt you. They're quick on their feet. Yeah. Oh, I had that happen. Yeah. Except for the possum. And oh, don't mess with them. That's on the rodent. No, they're actually dacile. You're kidding too many things. I have questions for you. Yeah. We should. Sorry. We don't have to jump in. Let's bring it back out. No, no, no. Oh, god. I love tannins. But while you're here. Yes. You just finished filming traitors. Oh, yes. Sorry. Like, what can we even say? I mean, honestly, right now, I just, you need to tune in. Okay. It was so much fun, so hard, so different than what I thought would be. You know, it's like one of those shows when you watch and you like are like, oh, yeah, those, how are they not figuring this out? This and that. Yeah. Just watched. Yeah. It's, it's so hard. And now I have such a new found respect for it, but I loved the cast. Everyone was amazing. It was a ton of fun. Wow. Everyone's attuned in. Yeah. I'm so good. I'm ready for good TV. It's good, good TV. And I can't wait to watch. Like, it's one of those things. I can't wait to see it again. Because I want to relive it. I'm going to say it must be hard. Like you have lived this experience and it's filmed and it's such a big part of your life and now you just have to wait for it to come out. This is my third time dealing with that. So I'm good now. Yeah. I get through this. I get through this. I get through this. Yeah. I get through this. I get through this. Yeah. The thing you do is a drop in the bucket of all the footage. Yeah. So you just have to wait to see what's actually being shown and you could have memories of certain parts but then it's like how does it look because it can be from anyone's eyes and that's the tough part. But I also love it because you get to re-experience it and get to see it from the eyes that they decide to show. And I think that's also one of the most fun parts of it. Are you? Wow. You're in Scotland. Mm-hmm. Are you guys straight up filming every single day? Yes. There's pretty much the whole time you're there. You're there for the show. So yeah. It's a lot. Oh my god. It's fun. You would be great on it. Both you guys would. I think you both need to do that show. I would. I would. I would. That's I think the only show that I just stop for a second. Look straight ahead. Yeah. Right. I think I would be great on that show. Yeah. I'm scared to even say because it's kind of like the more I talk about raya, the more they won't let me on. Oh. Are we having raya issues? I can't get on. How do we fix that? I don't know. I have 68 referrals. I hate my. 68. I keep talking exactly I keep talking about it. And so that's why I'm scared to say I want to be on traders because it feels like a raya situation. I mean, it could be, but it could also be manifest. I know. It worked the line. You know, yeah, we'll never know, honestly, when it happens is manifesting when it doesn't you look crazy. Exactly. It's just part of it. Exactly. So it feels a little traders. It does actually. It does. It does. I'm having a little PTSD right now. It's nice. You know you can't have your phone. Yeah. I need to. That's what I want to talk about. Yeah. That's not a bad thing. It's the same thing. Whenever you do a show like that, whenever you're on an all-inclusive kind of show where you're just in it, they usually take away your phone. And I think that's a, I think that's a helpful thing. That would be good for us. I think it's a really good thing. You don't realize this is an example right now because you guys do it when you're on the podcast. Your conversation is so much better when you take out the ability to like leave it. And when you're interacting with a group, when it ends up happening a lot of times, is when you don't feel like you're invited into a conversation, what's the first thing you do? You grab your phone and you start scrolling because it, whether half is crazy. But yes, that works. When you don't have that, you have the ability to then like insert yourself into a conversation. And because of that, you end up getting so people back and saying, hey, I'm alone over here. Talk to me. But that is the truth. I think we should get rid of our phones more often. Do you think? Like it rewired something or reconnected neurons that have been disconnected because of-- - Yeah, I think you just feel more open to having deeper conversations and you feel more aware and alert than you usually do. 'Cause when you got out where you first thing, water, like a phone. - I took a second because I knew it was going to be a lot. I didn't grab it 'cause I was running the social. - Yeah, I also had to grab it because I did find out through someone that she was having a lot of fun with my socials. - She really was. She's so funny. - But it's funny. - Never going to get my socials back again, by the way. She still has access and I think we're gonna have to play a game moving forward. Like was this post from Joey or was this post from Kelsey? And I think that's a fun game to play. - I think she started something. Like I bet a lot of people are gonna start doing that because of her. - It kind of actually feel like I wouldn't know if someone was hacking Kelsey's account. - No. - 'Cause she's like doing laundry. (laughing) - I'm like, that is awesome. - It is awesome. She's bringing it back to how she did it. I like that. - The old Facebook date, you know? No, she should run my socials. She's more funny than I am. I am all game for it. But yes, the fact that she could right now just be swiping through my Instagram and responding to things. If anyone out there gets a random DM, probably wasn't me. So just know that. - It's so good. - But it also gives me a little freedom that they don't know if it's me. - Right, yeah. - So that can be a little more edgy than I want. - Yeah, totally. - This is great. - Flaming on Kelsey. - Exactly. - Yeah. Is there anything like you wouldn't do? Like you've done Dancing, Bachelor, Traders. Now you're full on actor in a full-length film. - Yes. - I did a movie. It was very fun. - You did a movie. - I watched it last night. - Did you? - So good and cozy. I'm actually definitely afraid of people that have watched it 'cause I want to know how you view me now after it. I did, I got to see it. - Joey, I'm like a rom-com fanatic. - And I need it. - And I thought it was just like the perfect cozy feel good. - I love that. - Tissue, rom-com that you believe me as an actor. - I believe the shit out of you. - Yes. - Yes. - Speaking of a pleading man. Seriously, it was so good. - Thank you. I appreciate it. It was way more fun than I thought it was going to be. When it came my way and I got the opportunity, I was scared because I think that transfer from reality to scripted is a little daunting. But it was fun playing a rom-com situation 'cause I'm a huge rom-com fan myself. That's my number one movie I will watch all the time. And I always wanted to be in that role where you get to have a love interest but also throw some humor in and just the holiday movies are just feel good. So. - What's your favorite rom-com? - We do this all the time. We'll do rom-com, quintessential rom-com. - Yeah. - Holiday rom-com. - Mm-hmm. - The best. - Do dose you. - Right? - Any? - Holiday rom-com and quintessential rom-com. - Number one, rom-com. - It could be holiday. - Number one, rom-com might be cliche but I just, I've watched again recently and it always holds up. How to lose a guy in 10 days. - Yes, I watch it last week. - That's a great one. - Holds. - Yep. And I don't know, something about Matthew McConaughey and rom-com just does it for me and I love Kate Hudson. I think it's incredible. - The two of them in their prime and I think they're still in their prime but in their prime, it makes me horny. - Yeah, we know. - Fair? - Fair. - I mean, you are an Austin boy. So it just, it makes sense, you know? It's, yeah, hook 'em. - There's no other way to say, like I could've said it in so many words but that is. - No, but that's the right way. It got to the point. - There's tension, I guess. - It got to the point, yeah, no, it's great. I mean, fool's gold, there's a ton they do. It's, there's a reason they did it again. - She said, she said, that it's, that comes up a lot. She said that was her worst kiss she's ever had and she was gagging in the water 'cause they did it like six times. - No way. - That upsets me. It's a testament to their skills and range but like. - Why does it upset you? Because you wish it was. - You know, I'm a baby, I want them all to be married when after I see the movie. It doesn't make sense to me that Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are not married and that age still. - I get it. - I digress. - Holiday, I love the holiday. I think that's, that's smart. - That was a layup. - Yeah, I know it was. It's just how do you not pick that one? But I just, I don't think there's a lot of times bad rom-coms. It's only when you just can't find a way through watching it where it's just like, okay, I'm over it but I just think it's a great genre. I just, I love it. - We missed the mark for a couple recent years. We missed the mark. - We have not had a good rom-com in a while. - What was the bullshit one that came out with with "Cinney Tweeney?" - Oh yeah, I know exactly where you are. - That one made me want to hit my, I'd rather hit my head hard against this door. - Yeah. - Then watch that again. - It was tough. The only part that I did enjoy was the unwritten song. That was, that was good. I mean, the serenity song was fun. - Unwritten, yeah, yeah, that's true. - It brought, it gave unwritten a little bit of a wave back which I think we all need. Number one karaoke song, by the way. I will rip unwritten any time I get the chance. - That's a really good one. - I have a new karaoke song. What is it? Big girls don't cry. Big girls? - Yeah. - That feels like a high five. - I like, I was like, wait. - That feels like a higher one. - Okay. - Big. - Big girls don't cry. - Big girl, the bigger the girl, the less you cry. - Yeah, that's how it could be. - Yeah. - Oh man. - I need to say one more thing about Joey's performance. - Please, please. I need to hear all of it. I think that so many men look almost like look down on romcoms and don't want to take on a romcom role. And I could just really feel the opposite of that from you and just like that you fully immersed yourself in the romcom of it all. And I feel like you could feel your love of the genre. - Yeah, yeah. - Through the screen, why are you laughing? Can I ask why you're laughing? - I need to know. - I'm trying to, I'm trying to, like, - Yeah, you were right. - I'm being serious. - So just go ahead, I know. - I'm being serious. - No, just, I'm thinking like, the bigger the girl, the bigger the girl. - I'm sorry, they got that core. - That is true, that is true. And also, Joey's performance was incredible that I could feel your love of the genre. - Thank you. - Talk about "Rage 2." - No, it was fun. - It's what I'm saying. And I feel like we really needed that. Like where we've been living our trust in men in the space. - And you have really brought that back. - It was fun, and I do think doing the rom-com genre helped me because I was like, I could act a shit out of this. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - This is what I love. - I am the guy. - You are a real life partner. - I mean, there were moments where I had flashbacks to the back of all the mat. We were in a dinner scene on that, and I'm like, this is, I'm on a one-on-one set out. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - But it was really fun. Jamie was incredible. Definitely, if you guys want to watch it, if you should, comes out November 2nd. I'm very excited about it, 'cause it was something so different and something I really enjoyed. - And where can you-- - On the Roku channel, so it's free streaming. No excuse not to. - Yeah, and everybody has an open space in their docket for a feel-good rom-com. - Holiday time, you know? - Holiday time. - Get a nice blanket, get something warm to drink, and watch me try to act. - God, that's awesome. - It was really good. - Thank you. - It wasn't a lot that you said that, 'cause it is nerve-wracking to like step into that for the first time, and so far, I don't know if it's 'cause people just want to be kind to me, but I've heard good stuff, so I'm excited. - It should be very proud. - Proud of you. - But that brings you back to my question, is there anything you would not do? - I don't know. I mean, I said after doing Dancing with the Stars, it's like how much more reality can one person do, because I've did a lot of it, and I've actually left it very happy. I've had great experiences. I left with an amazing fiancee that I can't wait to marry next year. I got a mirror ball, which how the hell did that happen? That is crazy. - That's amazing. - So even doing traders was scary for me, 'cause I'm like, I don't really, I don't know if I could do any better. Like I've met the peak of what I want to do. The only one left I think in the reality space that I do have interest in is, Survivor just seems like a true. - Summer house. - Oh. (laughing) - Maybe. I don't know. - Survivor. - I'm open. I think if you can tell from all these experiences, like I'm a yes man, if something comes my way, and I can see some value in doing it, where I'm gonna gain something from it, and I feel like it's gonna make sense in the world I'm living right now. I'm always open. But yeah, Survivor's the only other show that I've watched me and like, I'm just like, I wanna know what it's like. 'Cause now I'm kind of a geek with these reality shows that you hear about it. You're going through it with Dancing with the Stars, and now we are connected on a different level, 'cause we both experienced it. - It's kinda like when you go off of us. - Exactly, just same thing. This is where you were trying to go with it. This makes sense. - You do love a call back, and I love that about you. But yeah, I wanna experience it. I wanna know what it's like maybe, but I don't know if I could do it. - It sounds like genuine hell on earth. - Listen, one of the shows I know you would be terrible on Survivor is one of them. - Thank you. - And it's a compliment to you. - You know what? - You know who you are. - That's us getting to know each other, and I appreciate you seeing me. - No, there's no doubt you would struggle. - You know, you can't brush your teeth. - This is how I was killed. - I was literally about to say. As soon as he finds out he can't brush his teeth, he's out. - That's like that. - Please look at this. - That's fast. - Yeah. - Bloss are in right now. - Yeah. - No, there's no way. - I don't know. - Pass. - Pass. - I did hear. If you wanna know, if you wanna know something inside information about the survivor, it is interesting because it's about people in general. Once you stop using soap, I was told that there is actually the scent in like your smell goes away. A lot of what happens is you have to like, the first week apparently is health 'cause everyone's getting rid of all of their toxins. But when you stop for a bit, I'm not saying you shouldn't stop showering. I'm just saying on that show, I've heard from people that the smell either, maybe it's the cat situation though, maybe you get used to the smell. - But you might just get used to it. - Maybe they're lying to me, but they say after a week it goes away. It's either you get used to the smell or your toxins something happens. - I have so. so much aluminum in my body from my D.R. Grant. - Yeah, it's over. - It's over. - It's over. - You're talking to sweaty pits, boy. I had to get Botox in these arms. - Did you see me after my one minute dance, by the way? Like, it looked like I jumped in a pool. - Yeah. - I'd first wake up. - You're working hard. - First dance, I really thought I was in, I'm drinking my pee. I'm like, I don't know. I need it. - Yeah. - Tryin'. - I don't think I could do it. I also don't wanna, you don't wanna, especially, I am on survivor right now. You are. - In a way. - You're in it. - I don't see you not excelling at any time. - I just think it would be fun to do the challenges. I think the idea of trying to get immunity, that gets me all jazz stuff. - I've never actually seen survivor. So it was kind of like the Hunger Games where you could get a toothbrush if you do a good job. - You know, it's close. Not a toothbrush, you get food. - Oh. - They give you food. - They give you rice if you do well. - What do you have? You have to like fuck mine. - You have to wait, they wait to give you flint and rice and the ability to survive. You have to make your own, it's, - I'm gonna go on that show. - No, again, love you both. Not, maybe actually that's what we should do is try to make your own little survivor. - The art survivors just take away our phones. - Yeah. - We'll just put you in an uncomfortable situation and just put the camera. - I wanna watch one real. - Give me one real, it's like one real set of food. - No rice, just a real. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It would be a good show. - It would. - It would be terrible for you guys, but it would be very fun to watch. - It would be like a show of its own. - Taylor Hanson literally first day and he was like, "I think it'd be funny "to send influencers to an island with no phones." - Yeah, he's not. - Okay. - Mary Freck kill. - Very good, yeah, very good. - Well, okay, Joey, we held you captive here. This was kind of like survivor. - I loved it. - We loved having you, seriously. - This was so much fun. - You're the great one. - And also I need to once again say, if you're not voting for Connor, you're doing something wrong. This guy is working his ass off every single week. He is going to get better. You are what Dancing with the Stars is all about. - Your next week has next week will be better. - It will. - Next week will be better. - I'm saying it right now. I already said it. I will double down. I think you're getting your first eight next week. I do. Have you got an eight before? Your first moment, please. - No, I've not gotten an eight. - You're not yet. - Next week is my purse for an eight. It's coming. - It is. - That's coming. You're getting a new great, man. - Thank you so much you and that space. - Thank you, dude. - I'm excited for you. - And I just start crying. Thanks for coming, Joey. We love you, dude. - Thank you, Joey. You're great. - Thank you, Joey. Congrats on everything. Remind everybody November 2nd. - November 2nd. There's a movie called Holiday Spark on the Roku channel. Yeah, it's going to be a great Christmas movie. You should watch it. And yeah, just follow me and my fiance. Ad Joey Grande. Ad Kelsey Anderson because you'll know what's going on with their life if you follow us. - This is our family. - Pat content. - Pat content. - Yeah, now we are a part of the Kitty Alliance. - Exactly. - There's a lot of cat heads on here. So thank you so much, Joey. - Thanks for coming in. - Give it up for Joey. - Yeah. - Joey Gaducci. Later, Joey. Thank you. - This week, I'm close friends. I would not know if I had such a transcendent area. And I think the guy in that picture is cute. Ooh, the way you whipped that out. Kelly Clarkson drives car into art of play. FAQs

Joey's last name is Grazody, and it's pronounced 'Grazody' — a phonetic adaptation that has been used to make it easier to say. The original name has Italian or old-world roots, and the team acknowledges it's a bit unusual.

Many last names are complex or unfamiliar, especially when they have old or foreign origins. The host notes that people often mispronounce them, making it a common source of confusion and 'last name blindness' when introducing guests.

Joey felt disheartened by the judges' critique of his samba, especially since it was a difficult dance and the first time he performed it. He noted that the feedback lacked recognition of the effort and difficulty, which made it hard to feel encouraged.

The next dance is a Vini's Waltz, which is described as slower and more focused. It's expected to be a strong performance and a step up from the previous samba, allowing for more precise movements.

Joey emphasizes that the joy comes from having fun and embracing the process, not from perfect scores. He believes the show's spirit lies in the enthusiasm and effort, especially when someone has no prior experience.

Joey suggests trying more aggressive or unconventional styles like a ponytail or bare face to add variety and show growth, noting that these could be exciting and engaging for the audience.
