Speaker 3 Hindi Renetopia, we hated it because obviously for us, whenever we would go to places like like Netopia, it was to play video games and every time there was some personal through webcam or whatever, or marriage, boyfriend or girlfriend abroad. My God. Speaker 2 That's. Speaker 3 True. If you're if you're unfamiliar with it, it's it's a, it's a Korean show that basically centers around Jisu. It doesn't center around a zombie apocalypse or whatever. It just centers around Jisu. Yeah, yeah. That's. Speaker 2 Honestly, it's actually so super. Speaker 3 It's. Speaker 2 Strange scenes are so fascinating. You know that Black Pink really has list. I I think they're the most, but I'm successful in terms of branching out into their in terms. Speaker 3 Of other things. Speaker 2 But I like whether it's it's solo songs or it's like. Speaker 3 Jenny in the fashion world or whatever. Speaker 2 Or Lisa, Lisa in White Lotus and then Jisu in UTO and Nootopia. But I like you can and I. Speaker 3 Know. Speaker 2 Personal. I'm going to be honest here, and it's a really it's a really interesting show. It's really fun. I I really like it, but every time she's on screen, I can't focus on the story. I don't focus on all. I'm thinking about this since we're. Speaker 2 Talking about it, let's let's talk about it. Speaker 3 Yeah, so it's always been. It started out really with Jenny. It really was Jenny. Speaker 2 Oh OK, this is interesting this. Speaker 3 Is and then major bias record. Go see see Jisu cause Parang Jenny is is for me. Like she really was the first one that caught my attention and like I couldn't give I couldn't give. I couldn't give two cents. But but like everybody just failed into in in comparison with with Jisu. Speaker 2 With Jenny. Speaker 3 And then later on, this love was the first Black Pink music video that I really got into just because, man, that scene with Jenny there where she was just like she had like this Tomb Raider look going on because she has this unnatural ability of being so seductive, sexy, but at the same time because she's also really cute and charming, right? Jisu on the other hand, is very like, I don't girlfriend material, you know what I mean? And then but Jennicus is able to play between both, you know what I mean? There are times when she's like this sexy, seductive, whatever. And then and then she can also be like this cutie patootsie girl. But she's who has always, I think remained in that, in that what do you call this, I guess bubble of being cute and whatever. So yeah. And they were always the ones that say with the rap lines, the Basu Sile mangas. And then, you know, as they expanded and people got to know them better, you know, notice that the way they treat things Jisu is always very traditionally Korean. Yo, Ayonya Machado, a sexy there by even even her breakout song Flowers, the BA Parang very cutesy patootsy paran, which is very how Koreans like I guess they're they're women in general, whereas the others are a little bit more liberated, liberated with how they see Jenny with idol and even the new videos that are coming out, you know what I mean? And then Lisa has always been, you know, and whatever. So yeah, apparently in Korea, Jisu is like #1. Speaker 2 Like, you know, well, OK, duh. Indeed. It's not big news that I'm not very malam when it comes to K pop so and the very few that I know, but I tend to focus more on like Junko. Speaker 3 Well. Speaker 2 So to be honest, even with black thing, even though they're probably, you know, together with BTSE go to selling for non K pop people, you know, entry point Modiba, you know to what K pop is all about. So for me, I know I know no man who they are. So you know what I mean. Like so given with what so many people have been, I've been talking to people when I got into this because so much I don't like Jisu to be honest. Like like, like I know her like gets like what you what? Speaker 3 I would give to rediscover Jisu. Speaker 2 Again, I I would have to, I would have to, you would have to give me a couple of seconds to be like a flash card. OK, that's Rosie, Alisa, you know what I mean? Like pause before I like can identify. So let's just say in the Telugu super familiar with JISU and given with what I've given that input that I've got from other people, usually that's a third or fourth in in a lot of with you as as the rare exception, but I'm lagging as a third or fourth in the choices of people. So when I watch this, I was like kind of expecting. OK, OK. And then when I saw her, I was like, I get at least striking, striking in that sense. But my gosh, like, like Naka in love Shah she's. Speaker 3 So charming. Speaker 2 She's so charming, like even the 'cause he like your, your character you did is a nootopia. Hindi namancha young, strong, Hindi namancha weak. So technically the like a normal person. Like a normal person. Yeah, exactly. Like by usually young, young, young characters, sake drama. Usually you either damsel in distress, spoiled brat or so given that the character is actually very steady long. Speaker 3 Yeah. Speaker 2 I'm surprised that I'm super like I'm really liking this girl. I love you, like the car and if I do I like the character or do I like Jisu and. Speaker 3 Maximum. Speaker 2 Perfect. Yeah is more like I am not super into even the other three girls better. Like I wonder why she always lands 3rd or 4th when she is so adorable. You know what? I. Speaker 3 Mean I think in terms of persona whenever they are together as black, pink, vanilla but vanilla esque. Speaker 2 That's it, you know that. But then you know, in my head, I do get it. I even the look is very, you know, like you said, standard gay dramaish looking of all of them. Speaker 3 And apparently even in Blackpink, she she kind of acts like the big sister towards all of them. Apparently Megan Manzila. But you know what I noticed here though, which I find kind of a little hard to believe, but I don't know, man. So I, I think I watched up to the 4th or 5th episode and then it's basically not a man, a spoiler. But basically, it's been established that she was an engineering student and she was the only girl in a class full of boys. And clearly a lot of people have a crush on her, mostly because, you know, she was the only girl in an old boys, you know, kind of school class thing going on better. They didn't portray her as like this. You know how K dramas have this tendency to, like, put people on a pedestal If you're beautiful, like, you know, the wind blows through your hair. Yeah. But here, they didn't do that. They made it look like, OK, she's just a normal person. But it just so happens now, you know, she's attractive, but she's not, like, superstar beautiful, which for me was like, with a face like that. That's a little hard to believe. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah, so far with what I watch, OK, the general premises, just in case you haven't watched it, but I'm basically there's this guy in the military girlfriend Yana syllabus. They had some problems. So Long story short, they broke up right after they break up. Shep, refresh Padiva big lung begrudgingly like Marla Mandela. It's just that because of the whole etcetera, big Lang, like zombie outbreak, so big Lang suddenly it's like, I know, break the tire, but apparently, you know, she's trying to find her way to him. He's trying to find his way to her. Given with all the complications of him being in the military and there being a zombie breakout. Major Mahira, that's the general premise. I love zombie movies or. Speaker 3 Series. Speaker 2 The moment you tell me it's about zombies, no problem. I'm already. I don't even care who's in it. I don't even care what the general premise is. If you just tell me, OK, zombies, sign me up. So far, so far. OK in a man, when I watch a zombie movie, in some weird twisted way, I want to be scared. I like the idea of being put into their shoes, Like, Oh no, what am I going to do? I can't get completely into it. Because just when you're about to get immersed. Speaker 3 So good. Speaker 2 I have a feeling that opposing Conamonto, it's just that it's that's really the part 'cause like, yeah, Oh my. Speaker 3 God, if you're looking for, if you're looking for something that terrifies you, much like how Dawn of the Dead does or whatever. Speaker 2 All of us are dead. Super lovely. Speaker 3 This is not it. This is not. But don't get me wrong, it's also really it's actually really one one of probably one of the most brutal gory Korean shows I've ever watched. It's it's super gory, but they treated in such a way it's still really comedic. Again, not a spoiler. When the zombie outbreak happens, the first thing that happens is Jisu is in a car with her officemate and then somebody crashes into the windshield. The person basically and his eye pops out. It lands on her shoulder and obviously Jesus character is like terrified that it's there, but at the same time you're like, I don't normally. If it were under a different ambiance or different treatment, you'd be like, Oh my God, you know there's an eye on your shoulder. It's so silly. Speaker 2 But. Speaker 3 I won't, I won't spoil, but later on it also shows you it has emotions also 'cause you know, obviously the zombie outbreak, certain people will die and you know it. You people that you don't expect to die will. So I don't know what they're trying to get at like you're making. Speaker 2 Me laugh I don't know that like I actually do not want to go confused like for example all of us are dead. By the way I'm super excited for the second season see how I know I am see how invested. So yeah, I mean union part can can you help me decide if I'm just going 90 and make it a parody of of you know, make it like Shawn of the dead. You measure Pirodina Longshan and non zombie movie or do I still treat it like a zombie movie to the point that's a part of part of what makes me like it is when when you're invested in the character that was going to say something appetite, you're like, no, not that one. Speaker 3 Irreplaceable. You think that they're like, you know, central to the story or Core 1. Speaker 2 Of the things that make me watch AK drama up to the very end is if I. For the story, that's the thing. That's the thing. Root for I must say I kept on watching how's happened in one episode, third, third or fourth episode now and I'm like, you know, I find myself wanting to find out what happens next. Speaker 3 Yeah, because not in I think it's also like, you know, while while it's, it's comedic indeed in ultra comedic. Speaker 2 You know. Speaker 3 Confusing. I don't know where to place it like. Speaker 2 Same since. Speaker 3 One of those like multi genre local artist comedy, my action male, my drama literal. But they're able to balance it in such a way that it still makes it a really interesting, entertaining show to watch. Speaker 2 Better for now. Oh my gosh, I have to watch this. Speaker 3 City of what will happen? Speaker 2 Next. Yes, yes, but it's really that a whole more of like what will happen to the story, What's really going on And OK, fair warning, huh, The first episode is not what you would expect. It's a bit. Speaker 3 Slow. Speaker 2 Yes, not just a bit, it is actually slow. No, no, actually uncomment. Goodness, the 1st episode. To be fair, I think. Speaker 3 I think we can actually talk about the end of the first episode, the 1st. Speaker 2 Episode ends. Speaker 3 With the start of the. Speaker 2 And then I realized, OK, I'm damning back story now. For me, at first I'm like, do I need this? Do I really need all this back story is because outbreak cila Dino characters that will figure in the in the actual. Speaker 3 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 So seemingly minor characters. So I get it, I get it. Can I? Speaker 3 Can I just I don't think no, but this is considered a spoiler. Like it doesn't ruin the plot of the movie or the show rather. But can I just say, you know how every K drama will always figure out a way to inject alcohol and alcohol consumption in the show? How they injected it here. And this is the first time, first, I've watched a ton of zombie films, ton of zombie shows I've never heard of a theory about all zombies will not bite you if you're drunk or if you're under the influence of alcohol. Anyone seen in the further episode to get away from the Zone? And it's the dumbest, most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a zombie flick. Speaker 2 Like for example I know World War Z. You know what, I guess together with vampire movies and zombie movies, part of the fascination is I know, I know, classing zombie, it is a zombie verse. NATO in the like for example vampires in some in some universes in some vampire verse. But I am using this so same thing with zombies, zombie zombie so like or is it more like me? Speaker 3 Zombie, please tell me so. I cannot watch. Speaker 2 It Zombie that was Zombie. We were just talking about this on the show Zombina Attack. That was, you remember in Dawn of the Dead, the remake? Yeah, but I saw Hindi in Attack. Speaker 3 Yes. Speaker 2 Like they completely ignore dogs, like I said, Hindi. So that's also part of the fascination I have with zombie movies. When I'm watching it, it's like, okay, I know, classic zombie, the World War Z terminal illness. For some reason you're practically dead already, so you're one of them to figure out which version of zombies they have. Speaker 3 For that. But I swear, either way, it's such a watchable show. And again, young guy, like, while it hasn't gotten to the level of revered K dramas in my on my in my book, just the sheer curiosity of wanting to find out what's next keeps you hooked on it. I still want to find out what's happening, so I'm going to watch it. Speaker 2 I could just think of some things that this series could could benefit from. Speaker 3 Okay, IE. Speaker 2 Certain you know, cast members just just to keep me watching just. Speaker 3 To keep. Speaker 2 I don't have. Speaker 3 Time to beat around the Bush anymore. But you definitely should watch it if you're looking for something that's really interesting. Speaker 2 You notice one last one last, you know, I noticed Sabin, Maxine. It's that kind of we remind of them. Speaker 3 I kind of see it. Speaker 2 Certain angles are like Lost sister in the Mama Galone. Yeah, it's that kind of. Speaker 3 Beauty, but she's so as in I could just watch her all day. I know that sounds really. Speaker 2 I don't know but like because you were saying she's so like what like 8 and left no crumbs like slay queen? Speaker 3 That's the words I would use. Speaker 2 No, no. Speaker 3 No, no, not exactly what I had in mind, but sure, let's stick with that. Speaker 2 She ate well. Speaker 3 It's available on Prime Video, Nootopia. I think it's on episode 6 or 7 now.
