🚨 Jimmy Kimmel SPEAKS OUT After ABC Pulls The Plug—Is “The View” NEXT?!

FanDuel has expanded its availability across the U.S., making sports betting accessible nationwide with clear eligibility rules. A personal narrative underscores the importance of proactive health awareness, particularly regarding shingles, which affects a majority of people over 50. Simultaneously, the end of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show after 24 years is widely reported, with key reasons including declining ratings, high production costs, and a desire for greater political diversity. Critics highlight systemic issues in mainstream media, such as lack of balanced viewpoints, partisan bias, and failure to uphold public interest standards. The FCC has intensified scrutiny, particularly over political misinformation and biased coverage, with calls for transparency and accountability in broadcast programming. The shift signals a broader media reckoning, where networks like ABC and NBC face pressure to diversify content and improve fairness. The proposed reform of shows like The View, with potential conservative additions such as Caroline Leavitt, aims to restore credibility and public trust. Ultimately, the changes reflect growing public skepticism toward media bias and a demand for more balanced, representative, and truthful reporting.

Like how family is precious. Work can always wait. And 99% of people over 50 already have the virus that causes shingles. Not everyone at risk will develop it. But I did. The painful, blistering rash disrupted my life for weeks. Don't learn about your shingles risk the hard way. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist today. Sponsored by GSK. As scientific discovery changes the landscape, advances in cancer care may offer new hope for your patients. See how Pfizer is helping reshape what's possible at cancer.pfizer.com. Jimmy Kimmel has finally broken his silence, appearing for the first time since that bombshell report that after 24 years, he's out, out, out, out, out. And we have all the details. All of them. Plus, I'll tell you who's pretty nervous right about now. That would be the ladies at The View. The ladies at The View are wondering, wait a second, if Jimmy's going, are we next? You know who else is nervous? On a totally different note, that would be Iran. Iran lost five tankers overnight, which means by my calculations, they're down to their last 26 million barrels of oil. Time is running out and the squeeze is on. Plus, whoo, did we see some fireworks over there in Deutschland? Wait till I show you this. Welcome to the program, everyone. I am Trish Regan. Please make sure you subscribe, share, like, all that good stuff. Jimmy Kimmel is leading the top of the show today because after 24 years, he is finally out. Apparently, ABC is finally prepared to show him the door. And what did Jimmy have to say about this? What did Jimmy have to say? Oh, nothing, nothing, nothing at all. Not a word about. This report, not a word about his future at ABC, not a word about whether the show is really ending. Instead, silence about all of that. And instead, after spending the entire summer off the air, I'll tell you, good work if you can get it, little Jimmy. Jimmy Kimmel came back last night and immediately went right back to doing what he's always been doing, telling bad political jokes. I mean, you tell me you think any of this stuff is funny, right? I mean, Donald Trump and I. I have one thing in common. We both accomplished nothing over the summer. Hmm. Then he went on about the algae pool and said, how are we supposed to win the war with Iran when we can't even win the war against algae? And then, oh, he had this little number on New Mexico becoming New America. And he said, listen, if there was a new America, we would all go there. Oh, yeah. You know, I'm sorry. I just don't find it that funny. I really don't. I mean, and this is part of his problem, right? I mean, this is part. This is part of his entire problem because he's just so darn boring and nobody really cares what he has to say on anything. And he's got this big report out there in the New York Post hanging over his head saying, yeah, this buddy boy is done, done, done, done, done. I'm sorry, but like, are you not going to address the elephant in the room? I mean, if you look at that report and let's go to the report, the New York Post is saying, you know, and this just didn't come out of thin air. Believe me, before they print something like this, they do have to have some sort. And they were pretty emphatic and they were pretty proud. This was their exclusive, right? Exclusive in the New York Post. Jimmy Kimmel's late night show set to end after next season after 24 years. Gosh, we're going to stick with him for another few months, guys. Let's see how much damage he can do because he's done a lot of damage, shall we say, to his network. He's done a lot of damage to himself. He's done a lot of damage to Disney and to ABC. Indeed. You know, which is I would just say what makes this headline all the more interesting. Right. Because with page six from the New York Post reporting that Jimmy Kimmel live is expected to end this upcoming season. One source, they're telling the paper that his contract is not getting extended. That's pretty interesting in light of what's been happening in the background. Right. We know, you know, I know we've been reporting every step of the way on Brendan Carr and the FCC and the president and how disgusted he's been with the media. And in particular, some of the off colored humor that comes from one Jimmy Kimmel. Now, I should tell you that the network is, you know, trying to play this down. And the PR people at ABC are saying, no, no, no, nothing to see here, that this is just speculative and it's inaccurate, inaccurate. But I got to tell you, I think it's a big deal to put something like this out. And then I also think it's a big deal and quite telling that Jimmy Kimmel didn't actually say anything. Anything about this, anything about this on his show. I mean, you know, he's just been having a grand old time, I guess, all summer long, not clearing anything up. He did speak recently. Maybe this is a few months ago with Variety on the red carpet. And, well, it was same old, same old. Right. He seemed to hate America. Are you exhausted? Am I exhausted? By the state of the world. And knowing every night you've got to say something. You see me looking in my face. No, no. Yes, I'm exhausted. Of course. It's ridiculous. We live in a ridiculous. We always lived in a ridiculous country, but it was always ridiculous in a fun Mr. T kind of way. Right. Now we've got a different Mr. T. Yeah. Mr. T. Wow. I didn't think of it as a Mr. T. Well, you know what? That's why I had to host the show. Are you scared? No, I'm not scared. No, I'm not scared. You're hopeful? Am I hopeful? I'm always hopeful. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm always hopeful. Yeah. Yeah. Hopeful. All right. Maybe you're hopeful you're going to get a job at MSNBC because, you know, that's the kind of place where you can go and get away with all that stuff. All the terrible things that you said about Charlie, all the terrible things that you said about Melania becoming a widow. You know, I didn't ever find any of that funny. I didn't think any of it was a joke. I was looking at you guys in your commentaries last night when we first broke this news. And what did you say? Every single one of you was like, well, you know, I never watched the show. And I hear you. I never really watched it either. I'm not actually up that late. And if I am up that late, I'm probably reading your comments, you know, that's, that's what I'm doing. So I'm not watching this show, but, you know, in part because it's just not that entertaining. It's kind of canned and old fashioned. And hey, we live in a world where you just roll with it. Right. And he's got 30 writers that are sitting around trying to find funny jokes. And, you know, they, they, they bounce these off each other over and over and over again. They, they clearly aren't finding anything funny, but they're all collecting a big almighty paycheck. And I think that's fundamentally one of the problems, right? With this. This medium with this genre, because in a world where you can just talk to people right via this medium, like what I'm doing right now, how does a guy like that actually succeed? I mean, he can't, he, he doesn't have the ratings. I think, uh, you know, on any given day, we actually do more in terms of numbers right here on the Trish Regan show than he does in an entire show with that gigantic staff and the, you know, the power of the FCC federal airwaves behind him. I mean, Charlie Kirk, that was a turning point. You guys remember? Everything that he said, it was just awful. I mean, just, just awful. Um, you know, I don't even want to go back to those days, but you, you know, you can go look it up. Um, you know, he, he just was terrible and he tried to insinuate that the guy who murdered Charlie was actually part of Maga. It was just awful. Everybody knew everything by that point when he was taping and yet he went with that anyway. And so what happened? You had affiliate or owner after affiliate owner come up and say, Hey, we don't want this guy on the air. I mean, next hour was first and then you had Sinclair. And ultimately ABC had to take the step of pulling their star off the air. I mean, even when he came back, some of the affiliates, they initially refused to take him. So this is one hot potato. Okay. You don't need it. Disney, get rid of the guy. ABC had a real distribution problem with him. And then you got the white house on top of it, right? And you got the white house, not appreciating what he had to say about Melania Trump and the glow of an expected widow. And then two days later, you get an armed man that tries to take the president out for goodness sakes. I mean, Melania condemned his rhetoric. The president condemned his rhetoric and he never had the decency to take those jokes down or to take his tweets back, which tells you a lot about the kind of guy he is. So I'm sorry, 24 years at ABC, it's coming to a halt. And I'm inclined to believe what the New York post is reporting here very much. So this is not Netflix. Okay. It's not a podcast. It is not cable television. He was working for ABC and that's a really big distinction because ABC, they produce the content for all of those television stations that are using, remember this, federally licensed spectrum. So those are the federal airwaves. So if you think you can get on there, little Jimmy, and provide misinformation or only one particular framework. I mean, you can't just go back to the regulatory framework of the Communications Act of 1934 broadcast licenses. They were given provided that the broadcasters operate subject to the FCC and to the statutory public interest requirements. This does not give the government authority to dictate what you're going to program. No, no, no, no, no. I mean, so for those that are, oh, this is freedom of speech. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's welcome to his political opinions. You know, but the problem is you can not just keep pushing one political opinion over and over and over again every single night on that show. And you also can't just not be funny if you're running a comedic program. Right. So, you know, they're in this big legal suit right now. You get Disney arguing that the FCC is now violating ABC's First Amendment rights. No, it's not. No, it's not. You know, but I will say that ABC has a regulatory vulnerability that a cable network has a regulatory vulnerability that a cable network has a regulatory vulnerability that a streaming service is just not going to have. And they need to think about that. And so they are thinking about that. And that's why they want to get rid of this guy right about now. It's going to save him a lot of money. You get a new CEO. He's not impressed with big lights, big city, Hollywood, Jimmy Kimmel. And so he's going to get rid of him. Pretty simple. You know, it's a business decision at the end of the day, is it not? I'll tell you. Meanwhile, you know, what chance did Jimmy Kimmel ever have? If you think about it, what chance did the guy have for goodness sakes? Of course, he's going to be out. You know, he's living in a world where everybody thinks like he does, for goodness sakes. There's no diversity at ABC. None. You know, it's kind of funny because they're all about DEI and diversity. I mean, it's actually one of the things that's getting them in a lot of trouble. Don't forget, Brendan Carr has a big old investigation going on into DEI and how exactly they were hiring people at ABC, trying to, you know, basically have all these affinity groups and check all these boxes. And if you didn't have purple hair and consider yourself, you know, five different genders, you weren't getting the gig. So that's actually a big problem for ABC. Huge problem. And that's part of the lawsuit. But if you think about what was really going on and the kind of place that they were operating in, it was, it was Lib City. Lib City. I mean, Jimmy himself, okay, had only Libs on his show. And then you go to the news division, which actually produces the view and we're going to get to the view, of course, because the ladies on the view are completely freaked out right about now. Maybe that's why Joy Behar was selling her house out in the Hamptons for half what she wanted. But everybody's nervous right now because you see, it's been figured out. They're all a bunch of crazy Libs. Terry Moran, who was very liberal himself and got fired by ABC because, you know, he really went on the attack with the president, kind of dropped the veil there. He actually came forward in a podcast this week and said, yeah, it's a, it's a really liberal place. I'm going to play that for you. But first, again, remember the environment that Jimmy's in. Guess who he employs as his executive producer and as his head writer. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. By the time I hit my fifties, I'd learned a few things like how family is precious. Not everyone at risk. The risk will develop it. But I did. Sponsored by GSK. His wife, fishing from the comfy pond here, Jimmy Kimmel with little Molly talking about how, oh my gosh, you can't believe there's some conservatives in her family. But at least she knows them, right? At least she actually knows who they are. Thankfully, my immediate family, they did not vote for Donald Trump. They did the first time, a few of them. We flipped them the second time. It's weird. When Donald Trump was first elected, I was so upset. We all were. I was like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. We all were. But I remember thinking, I understand it because I grew up in a very conservative Republican house. I mean, I bought my dad a Rush Limbaugh tie in high school. I voted Republican straight ticket. And that's what I was told to do. And then I left St. Louis, Missouri, and I met people from different backgrounds. And I started to understand different things and different needs and different people. And so there's like a little bit of sympathy I have for people in my family that I feel are kind of being deliberately misinformed every day. And they've kind of, they're deliberately being misinformed every day. And they believe it. But it hurts me so much because of the personal relationship I now have where my husband is out there fighting this man. And to me, them voting for Trump is them not voting for my husband and me and our family. And I, I, I unfortunately have kind of lost relationships with people in my family because of it. I, it's, it's like, it, this is not just Republican versus Democrat for me anymore. It is to me, it's family values. And it's, it's really hard for me because I grew up believing. Okay. Molly, Molly, Molly. I get it. It's personal. Right. So again, like what chance did he have? What kind of, what kind of jokes do you think they're sitting around thinking about? What kind of viewpoint? What kind of points do they have in their little editorial meetings? They have one in one only. And this is something that is fundamentally a problem for the entire organization, not just the Jimmy Kimmel show, not just the view, but the news division as well itself, which is something that this former ABC news reporter, Terry Moran is his name said on a recent podcast. I want to cut to this clip because I think it's very revealing. I mean, not that we didn't know this to begin with. Right. You suspected it. I knew it. I've been in all these newsrooms, but here he is coming right out and telling it like it is. Is ABC news a liberal institution? Yes. But I think, I think like a lot of mainstream media, it's because of lack of viewpoint diversity. That was one of the problems in covering Trump. Nobody had voted for him. I, because I sent out these, Hey, we should be fair to Trump internal emails. I heard from people, engineers, maybe the occasional producer. Who said, thank you. Yeah. Atta boy underrated story in all television networks is that the people who are not on air talent and who are not producers, um, have different politics. Oh yeah. Because the people that are actually in the control room, I guess, you know, carrying around the heavy camera equipment, they get it. You know, the others, you know, I got all that college education. That's been trying to walkify them. And they've got the big fat paychecks. So somehow they don't know what it's really like, I guess, to have to work for a living and somehow they don't get Trump. I mean, but he hit the nail on the head. That is the problem. That's fundamentally the problem in all of these newsrooms. And it's a big problem with the media in general. It's certainly a problem over at the view for goodness sakes. I mean, the view is, um, perhaps one of the worst examples. And I, I point out the view and I know everybody hates the view. Okay. Look, we're, we're, we're in agreement on that. But the reason why it's important to pay attention to a show like that is that this is a show, the view that is being produced by ABC news. Don't forget Barbara Walters came up with this idea to have a bunch of women sitting around all from different viewpoints, all from different generations. And yet somehow they wound up with a whole bunch of, uh, well, I, you know, they're really, they're kind of all from the same generation and they're all kind of from the same political viewpoint. Dare I say. And so this is coming under the division of the news department. Do you understand how bad that is? It is a bad look for ABC. It is a bad look for Disney to have your news division producing a show like the view. Let's just call it what it is. Okay. It's entertainment. That's all it is. So you get some political entertainment. Well, when you're not going to actually entertain both sides, that's not a real news show. It's just not. And for you to escape what you're escaping in terms of equal time rules, because you're pretending you're a new show. I'm sorry, ladies, those days are over. You know what? The whole reign of terror that you think exists in this country, Joy Behar, I'm telling you, it's coming down on you in so many words. I feel like we're living in the reign of terror. only one here to remember the french revolution i mean i really feel like every day i wake up and he has created more chaos more misery around the world the economy is going down the toilet gas prices are going through the roof world economies are suffering and we're in the middle of this and i feel like we're pretty much helpless to do anything because the republican party will not stand up to this fall yeah that's all okay so yeah you know how she feels you know how they all feel you know how every single one of them feels but just in case you didn't all right you got to watch this short clip because this was something that the fcc chairman brendan carr actually tweeted out himself he's like how dare you sit there and you look me in the face and you try and tell me that you're not an entertainment show you try and tell me that you're a bonafide news show this is what a you're not an entertainment show you try and tell me that you're a bonafide news show this is what a show is putting out these days no sir as long as republicans are in power in the majority there will never be accountability there will never be checks and balances there will never be correct oversight and so if americans want this to end want the abuses of power check they have got to vote democrats in in november white women republicans i just read a poll that the suburbans are now voting republican that is like roaches voting for raids you're not voting for republicans you're voting for a cult remember that i want donald trump to lose and i don't feel like today's the day this is the kind of thing that i i don't even know what to say anymore if people still follow this fascist pig then i don't know what else to say 25th amendment is time it's time it's ridiculous he it's the bill that would force people to uh have id when they come to vote nobody wants to call the save america round which is ironic because it's not it's really saving his behind they are the epstein file protect the protection party you'd be comfortable still voting for graham plattner if you lived in maine i was one of those people and i said it if i lived in maine i would have you know plugged my nose and i would have voted for him anyway i think that we are in a time of existential crisis we need to be realistic and as a democratic great candidate as a democratic party we need to win we need to get something that's not gonna cool you know what to do on election day you know what this is brandon good one i mean especially to end it with that little kicker you know what to do with on election day i mean that's not news guys okay that is some kind of oh i don't know extension of the democrat party that is not a bona fide news program and so this gets back to how basically no one trusts the media anymore i mean even the bona fide news programs for goodness sakes and that's becoming an issue too and the president's call out nbc over this right now because they're giving you fake information in some cases and fake polls but you know how many times we've been decedal let's go back to the hunter biden laptop let's go back to the original russia hoax let's go back to covid having been uh somehow created in some kind of wet lab instead of in the uh wuhan lab that was studying it i mean they just one after another they just lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie and at some point if the fcc doesn't hold okay you can have a viewpoint guess what come on over here go get a podcast go to cable you can do that anywhere you want to do that but you can't do it on the federally protected spectrum airwaves because there's a standard okay where you kind of have to pay homage to both sides that's just the way it works and so what's going to happen in all of this is yeah jimmy's going down and you know who else is going down the view is going to go down to unless they get their act together and i'm not convinced they can here is bradley bryant and i'm not convinced they can here is bradley bryant and car warning of all this just a few months back when you say things to take a fresh look at what are you what are you talking about you look on the media side i think there's no question that trust in media is an all-time low that's just not my opinion alone jeff bezos did an op-ed recently where he noted how media used to be the most trusted institution in america and for a long time at least they could say we're more trusted than congress and now that has passed as well it's fallen to the bottom and so i think there's a lot that needs to take place to restore trust and confidence in media and there's a role for the fcc at least on the broadcast side for instance they have to operate in the public interest and i think it's probably appropriate for the fcc to take a fresh look at what that requirement looks like so i mean is that signaling that others have said you've done that you're open to tv networks having their licenses revoked he says yes okay and that's what we're dealing with right now that's what abc is dealing with they are looking at the potential for their licenses to be revoked at their eight owned and operated stations and that's to all the affiliate owners all over the country in other words abc is out there as like the mothership they're producing the content that all those hundreds of affiliates have to take and you know timbuk2 and they have to put it on the air that's the deal that they struck with the network the network provides the programming and all these little affiliates take it think about that they have to take it even if their viewers don't agree with it even if they don't agree with it they have to take it even if their viewers don't agree with it even if they don't think it's providing a service for their town for their community they have to take it because that is the way the agreement and the contracts have always been structured and along comes brandon car and he says no you know maybe you don't have to take it and not only that if you take this junk and you keep putting this junk on the air you may just not get your license renewed out there in timbuk2 so hold the networks accountable and that's what the fcc is doing those eight oh and ohs that just got sued may lose their licenses they're all the big markets you're talking about new york you're talking about la you're talking about chicago these are the big markets san francisco affiliates and brennan may take them all down and the president loves it every step of the way for goodness sakes watch i think brendan carr is an incredible american patriot with courage you know it used to be i remember in the old days that networks would have to get licensed relicensed and it was always a big deal you know they had a show honesty and integrity when you have a network again i'll use the same numbers whether it's 90 or 94 and 97 all different numbers but when you have networks that give somebody 97 percent bad publicity or 94 percent bad publicity uh i think that's i think that's dishonesty and you know they're getting free airwaves right you can know that right you get them for nothing these airways they make millions and millions of dollars the news makes millions of dollars abc your network i mean your network wrote very badly about me and they had to pay me 16 million dollars so you think i wasn't right for that brendan car is a right to no i think i think brendan car is a courageous person i think brendan car doesn't like to see uh the airwaves be used illegally and incorrectly and and purposely horribly so yeah the view's in just a little bit of trouble just a little bit i mean jimmy's probably out and now everybody's looking really hard at the view because there's no way they can continue on as a quote-unquote news program when they don't have both sides i mean i ran the clips they do not have both sides but here's a question for you what if what if abc is deliberately trying to take out jimmy kimmel as their first domino thinking okay we feed him to the wolves and then everybody's going to forget about the view what if he becomes the sacrificial lamb i don't think anybody's going to forget about the view but they might actually be looking at this and thinking well you know if we give him an inch they may not take a mile if we give them jimmy kimmel maybe the view can stay on during the day that might be perhaps a method to their madness they're thinking well jimmy's the easy one to lose i mean when you think about the economics of this it actually gets really interesting and you know me i'm an economics reporter by background so i always think about this if you look at the view for example um whatever you think about the show and i obviously don't think much amazingly people actually do apparently watch it a little bit like and i say that then we qualify a little bit i mean i'm pretty sure that fan duel is now available everywhere in the u.s so you can get in on the sports action no matter where you are including these places and georgia and houston cleveland minnesota buffalo lincoln chitown arizona make this your most rewarding season ever with fan duel age and location restrictions apply product availability varies by market see fanduel.com for eligibility gambling problem call 1-800-GAMBLER by the time i hit my 50s i'd learned a few things like how family is precious work can always wait and 99 of people over 50 already have the virus that causes shingles not everyone at risk will develop it but i did the painful blistering rash disrupted my life for weeks don't learn about your shingles risk the hard way talk to your doctor or pharmacist today sponsored by gsk that a lot of what we do over here is beating them but they got like 2.7 million viewers okay for the first quarter of the year so not bad it's their biggest showing in five years it's become the number one broadcast daytime talk show for nine consecutive seasons i know we're all shocked apparently it's not someone sitting home and watching the view i don't know anyone but apparently either that or maybe we should just question neil some ratings all together. So it's first quarter audience that was actually up from the previous quarter. So if you're if you're Disney, if you're ABC, you're looking at this, you're saying, okay, the view is a problem. It's a headache. But it's not dying quite as badly as Jimmy Kimmel's dying, right? So maybe you say to yourself, okay, there's a reason to keep this thing alive. Because you know, Jimmy, I'm sorry, like Jimmy, forget about it, right? The comparison isn't perfect, because you're talking about two different day parts and two different genres, effectively, different advertising markets, different production economics, but his show was getting like, I don't know, one and a half 1.8 million viewers. And, and that, you know, is not as much as the view, right? In theory, you should have more people by evening, but they don't. And here's something else that's interesting. ABC discovered this summer that it can actually take Jimmy Kimmel out of Jimmy Kimmel Live. And people still watch. I mean, Rosie, shocking. I know. But Rosie got like 2.1 million. Okay. And then, then jelly roll. Shocking. I know. He got like 2 million. So they're looking at it from a business point of view. And they're like, okay, so nobody really cares about Jimmy. I mean, I know that we talk about talent being everything, but talent actually has to have talent. Okay. I should put a little asterisk next to it. The reason why Maria Bartiromo is going to be fine is because she is talent. The reason why I'm fine after parting ways rather unceremoniously at Fox. The reason why I'm fine is because, all right, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but you know, I get talent as they say, right? I enjoy what I do. I love what I do. And I, it comes naturally to me because of all those things. I don't think Jimmy Kimmel has a whole lot of talent. So if I'm the executive at Disney and I'm looking at a spreadsheet and you know, they are, there's an obvious question. Like, what are we doing? Paying all this money to Jimmy Kimmel? Because late night TV, let me tell you, it's not cheap. You got a host. You get the writers, you get his wife, for goodness sakes, the head writer and executive producer. You got a band, right? They have a whole band for goodness sakes and a big production staff. You got to have somebody to basically corral that audience and tell them when to clap and when to laugh because nobody's actually laughing at Jimmy's jokes. You have to have a studio. You get the celebrity bookings. It goes on and on and on. It's five nights of original programming. Woo. Okay. So Jimmy has been a big TV star. If we can call him that. For 24 years. So he's not cheap either, right? So it costs a lot of money to put Jimmy Kimmel live on TV and they got to make some decisions. I mean, the company's trying to restructure and cut costs and you have veteran executives being offered early pay packages and page six, his own sources specifically point to cost reduction in that big article they did as being one of the reasons why the guy is out. I mean, what did they say? You know, they said that they're trying to pair down there. So that's a big thing. And I think that's a big thing. I think that's a big thing. That might be a big part of it as well. And I'm just saying they may be making a decision about Jimmy's role for the future based on the fact that the guy doesn't rate and he costs a ton of money, right? If you look at in comparison, the view through the same corporate lens, it's also kind of expensive. You get all those hosts, but I don't think they cost as much as Jimmy. It's also expensive in that you do have a big production in studio and you get the live studio audience that you have to talk to. So it's a big thing. to laugh or clap or whatever. And daytime television, it has historically been attractive to networks, partly because the talk show can be produced actually without the enormous costs associated with scripted television. So when you have a scripted show, right, like it's going to cost you more. And I would say that Jimmy's show is kind of scripted, right? The view has six hosts. So that's a cost. That's real. But they can play one off each other and they can try and reduce their salaries however best they can. And I would say, you know, when all is said and done, they're looking at the view as crazy as this is. And they're saying, hey, maybe we don't retreat from this one. Maybe we like make peace with the FCC. We try to put more conservatives on. They're putting Ted Cruz on now, right? They just had J.D. By the way, they had the best ratings with J.D. Amazing, right? Just imagine what they do with Marco Rubio. They had the best ratings they've ever had when they put J.D. on. Just incredible. But, you know, maybe we actually ought to be thinking about equal time and equal opportunity for political candidates. I don't think you're ever going to fix Jimmy Kimmel. I mean, heck, his wife just told us how miserable she is to have family members that actually voted for Donald Trump. She can't believe it. Right. Can't believe it. So I think that, you know, that has kind of come and gone. You're not going to change Jimmy, but you might be able to work within the parameters. Maybe you have to change him. Maybe you have to hire Caroline Leavitt. Maybe you get yourself more conservatives on those shows, that show, The View, and you might stand a fighting chance. I mean, I think Jimmy Kimmel is on his way out, but I think The View, if it could reform itself, could get another chance. But I say could, and that means a lot of things, probably bringing in a very strong conservative. I think Caroline would do that. I think she could do that really well. I think she'd be crazy to take the job and she'd be miserable. But, you know, she's only like 28, so she doesn't know that. And maybe she could handle it better than than some of us could. So you get yourself a real conservative to fight up against Whoopi. But I mean, let's be fair. If you're going to have six people, I want three strong conservatives and three strong liberals. OK. And, you know, when it comes to the producer base, why don't you go out and find yourself some conservatives there, too? Maybe the people behind the cameras, the people working in the control rooms that the ABC News correspondent just told us actually like Trump, you know, the workers, get them out there producing because they'll probably have a better sense for where the rest of the country is. And I'll tell you something that's amazing. They might actually start to get really good numbers. Imagine a show that was worth watching. I mean, could they create that? I mean, they had that once, right? The show used to do a fairly decent job back in the very early days with Barbara Walters. It was kind of innovative at one point in time. So maybe they could. Maybe they could get back to something that somebody actually wants to watch, in which case maybe they're thinking to themselves, we do what we can to save the view. But Jimmy's out. We're getting a different host. We're going to get somebody who's actually funny. And the math is going to work in our favor. No more expensive, obnoxious, controversial, replaceable talent. We're going to actually get somebody else. Or if they are replaceable, maybe they'll cost us less money. I bet Rosie's pretty cheap these days. I mean, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, right? She's just hanging out doing her little sub stack. Sounding kind of desperate. Anyway, I'll tell you, it's all pretty interesting. And it all comes as NBC now faces the fire. NBC is joining ABC on the naughty list because NBC keeps running disputed facts, like highly disputed facts. And I will tell you, the president was already looking at this Kristen Welker, who hosts their Sunday weekend show. And he was already, I think he was done with her weeks ago. Because do you remember when he walked out on that interview? When they were sitting down in a factory in the Midwest, and he was just like, I've had it. Evidence that ever presented your elections in this country. We're like a third world country. Your elections are crooked, and you're crooked, and meet the press is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS. And CNN, but Mr. President, you're one sided crooked network. So let's call it quits because I've had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time. Mr. President, let's please I traveled all the way to Wisconsin. I've traveled all the way for an hour on and off in the rain. And I've given you enough time. You want to straighten out your press because you know what? A country can never be great travel with a dishonest. We traveled all the way to Wisconsin for this interview. Oh, wow, wow, wow. Okay, so that happened a few weeks ago. We reported on it at the time. But there's new commentary that just came out this week from the head of the FCC, Brennan Carr, and he's now taking aim at NBC. And I think these things are all related. Because it was actually an unbelievable segment. I'll show you a little bit more of it. But first, think about that. And then a couple weeks later, that same anchor that clearly he doesn't have a whole lot of use for he just walked out of the interview with her on. She goes on the air and she starts talking about how he doesn't have the best record for endorsements. This was right after Lindsey's sister Darlene Graham won in North Carolina. Nobody thought she could do it, especially after that abominable debate. But wow, he pulled a rabbit out of a hat. And sure enough, Darlene won along with others. And this anchor for NBC News said this. He's going to loom large over these midterms. There's no doubt about that. He, of course, has endorsed a slate of candidates in the primaries. He's had some mixed results, but most recently, his pick of Senator Darlene Graham, of course, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, was successful. Oh, he's had like some hits and misses, and she doesn't seem to think he's got a real strategy. Mixed results, as she referred to it. Well, he just happened to see that and just did like a whole segment on it. So he said, Kristen Welker, the unpopular hostess of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has mixed results on his endorsements of candidates when the recent wins of Darlene Graham and Mike Massey stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate and 98% for the U.S. House recently and over the long term. How can anyone be allowed to say this? Working for, listen, freely, given public airwaves? Results are attached, he said. Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment. Unfortunately, she is not the only one. This was a long one. He went on and on. Unfortunately, she's not the only one. The harass, demean, and libel anything Trump. Their new weapon is to say that my 99% success rate on endorsements, 100% on senatorial endorsements, many of whom were not even given a shot of winning until I endorsed, is either a mixed result or not very good. In actuality, it is without questions, he says, the strongest endorsement in the history of politics. If it were not, I would be the first to admit it. Oh, my goodness. Darlene Graham's run for the Senate was the biggest story in all of politics because she wasn't expected to win. And then I endorsed her. When I endorsed her, she easily. The story of her victory was hardly covered by the media. It's true. I mean, we covered it here because I was like, that's amazing. He did pull a rabbit out of a hat. I liked it too, Warblade 187. I liked it too when I saw him storm off. It's like, who needs this? I'm sitting here in the rain with you, girly girl. Meet the press. I don't need it. Anyway, he goes on to say the press is a disgrace to our nation. I hope that Chairman Brendan Carr and the fine people of his commission will take this threat to our country very seriously. And then he includes the results, okay? The endorsement record in the Republican primaries. And I mean, this is, you know, he's got them. For goodness sakes, the media hates him so much that they just can't see clearly. I mean, he could find the cure for cancer and they would not care, okay? They'd say that something was wrong with it because it's Donald Trump. And look at these numbers, 98.35%, 239 of the 243 endorsed candidates won. I mean, those are pretty good odds. 98% in the House with 215 out of 219. And then 118% in the House with 215 out of 219. And then 100%, 24 out of 24 in the US Senate. And you got some little reporter chippy out there who's trying to say, oh, you know, he's got mixed results. He's not going to do that well. Well, he's got every right to call this out. He really does, because this is getting kind of disgusting. And Brandon Carr knows it too. So he was asked about it on Fox just yesterday. Let's listen to his response. I hope NBC and Kristen were listening too. Was watching Meet the Press last Sunday. He did not like that the moderator said his record on endorsements was mixed. He said he was going to report Kristen Welker to the FCC for rebuke or punishment. You are the FCC. Have you received this report? Well, one thing that President Trump gets fundamentally is that broadcast TV is completely different than other forms of distribution, including cable. And so many broadcasters right now, they want to break the deal that they cut with the American people. They get billions of dollars in taxpayer effectively subsidized distribution. And what they're supposed to do is they're supposed to do is they're supposed to do is they're supposed to do in exchange is operate in the public interest, not some sort of narrow partisan interest. I think President Trump is over the target. And we're looking at a lot of actions. For instance, there's a lot of interest right now in fake polls that are out there. And so the FCC may put guidance out soon to remind broadcasters about their obligations with respect to not airing fake polls, particularly if they're done to suppress, suppress people heading into the fall. You guys. Wow. All right. Like we know the media is biased. We know how crazy it is. So you can get in on the sports action no matter where you are, including these places. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. But I did. Sponsored by GSK. Come over here to get anything real. Right? Like, I'm glad you do, by the way. Please remember to subscribe. It's very important, important to this show. But like, the fact that you can't get it from the networks anymore, like what is going on? I've worked at those networks. I worked at CBS News. I worked at NBC News. Briefly, I was a commentator on ABC News. Like, I know how they think. But I was there before 2015, 2016. I was there before. I was there before Donald Trump went down the escalator. And while they were liberal back then, I'm telling you, something changed. Like, whoop! Like, everybody suddenly, once he went down that elevator, escalator, forgive me, they were just out to get him. And get him big. And they just had this visceral, terrible reaction. And I'm sitting there reading the tax plan. And I'm like, yeah, this makes sense. This makes sense. I think he's got a good plan for the economy. My friend Maria also said the exact same thing. I remember talking to her about it. We were like, this makes sense, right? Anyway, the media just despised him. And they took on a tenor. I mean, I had a lot of friends, right, that worked at these networks. And like, they're not my friends anymore. Because I'm like the pariah. Because I was like, yeah, the tax plan makes sense. I don't think you should count him out. I think he's actually got a lot of good ideas. And that was something you couldn't say. It really was. And there's something wrong with a media that is singing the same darn chorus night after night after night, day after day after day. And they all have one opinion. You've got to fix that. Because those are the big three. Okay, those are the big three networks. Just make them fair. I'm not asking for anything else other than to please make them fair. But you know, the president doesn't think they can ever get there. He thinks that they are inherently biased. And that's why he just had it with that Kristen Welch. We got to watch the clip. Okay, this is the slightly longer version of what I just showed you. Because it's, it's telling you can feel his frustration. He's just had it. He knows these people are never going to give him a fair shot. You don't have to be on his side. Just be fair. Fake, dirty press, the crooked press, people like stupid Biden, he's not smart enough to know what's going on. But people that surrounded him, surrounded his beautiful resolute desk in the Oval Office, what they did to the lives of people, they destroyed people. They sent people to jail, who did nothing wrong, just just to be very clear. There's no evidence of what you're saying. But there's a lot of evidence. Listen to me. Listen to me. Let's talk. This tremendous evidence is nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. It was a dirty election. It's happening again right now in California. It's happening right now in California. Right now it's looking, what's happening in California? Where's the evidence to that? It's four days. The Republicans are doing well in California. In California, it's, no, they're not. They're dropping fast because it's a rigged election. Let me tell you, it's four days and they aren't even close to coming up with it. That's how they count the votes in California. You know why they're doing that? Because they're cheating on the election. There's, what, do you have evidence to support that? All I have to do is look. That's not evidence. And I listen, and I listen to people and let's see what happens. But sir, that's not evidence. Do you think it's appropriate? That they have an election and five days later, they're nowhere close to picking the winner. State and local officials acknowledge they are slow. They're urging- No, they're crooked. They're crooked. They're urging the votes to be counted quickly. That's how they vote in California. They're crooked, just like you're crooked. Your press is crooked, and meet the press is crooked. To be fair, I'm not crooked, but let's- Really? Let's continue. Well, you play right into their hands then. Let's continue. You're either crooked or you're stupid. Let's continue. You play right into their hands with this crap. You know that these elections are rigged. Your network knows that they're rigged. Whoa. You know that I won an election in a landslide, and I got 94% bad press. But Mr. President- You know why I got that? You've never presented- Because you have no credibility. But you've never presented evidence that it was rigged. Let's keep talking about, I wanna talk about Todd Lynch. You have more evidence, there's more evidence than ever presented. Let's talk about- Your elections in this country, we're like a third world country. But sir- Your elections are crooked, and you're crooked, and meet the press is crooked, and so is ABC and CBS. and CNN, your one-sided, crooked network. let's call it quits because I've had it. Oh my gosh. Thank you, darling. Have a good time. Mr. President, let's please. I traveled all the way to Wisconsin. I've sat in the rain with you. I know. I've sat in the rain with you for an hour. On and off in the rain. You ought to straighten out your press because you know what? A country can never be great with a dishonest press. Oh my gosh. You know, I don't think we were watching that together in real time. I don't think I'd ever seen the full clip. That was something else. Oh my gosh. And you know, he's just had it. I think he's, you know, I'm not sure why he agreed to do the interview, honestly. I mean, he really does not like her, right? He does not like her and he, he's really kind of over it now. I'm just trying to think through the timing on this, right? The timing was interesting because remember he gave that big July primetime speech and he basically accused China of having outside influence on things. And, and I'm wondering if that was actually around that time. And he was very frustrated. It was actually about six weeks before that. So that was a June interview. Boy, time flies when you're having fun, right? Time flies. I mean, I actually thought that was just like a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago. Anyway, it was back in June, June 5th. And then of course he did the primetime address, July 16th. You know what I think happened? He might've seen some of that information that the FBI was sharing with him that he was going to go out and give in July. And so he was just so sick of it, right? Like he's like, you guys, you don't try, you don't try to get to the truth. And that was his frustration. I'm just trying to understand like why he was leveling all of those accusations on her at that particular time. But I would say that that July speech became sort of his cornerstone for, you know, we've got to be really careful. We've got to be very protective and keep the system intact. And that's something that my friend, Maria Bartiromo tried to report on. Maria was trying to report on the president's July primetime address. And apparently her bosses said, you can't. And according to the story that they have leaked, they are saying that she told Peter Navarro and I've actually, you know, seen Peter say, yeah, she did tell me. And he ran that up the food chain. There may have been a text that she shared. I don't know the exact detail on that, but something was shared that had been written by a senior producer saying, we're going to stay away clear from this story. And because she was staying clear from that story, she had to, you know, explain things to her source, which was Peter, who's like the anti-China guy. And Peter went and told the big guy. Okay. So Peter went and told the president. And then the next thing you know, Suzanne Scott, who's the CEO of Fox news, gets a call from the president saying, what the heck, what, what do you people do? He's getting the, he's getting the Kristen Welker treatment, right. That we just saw he's getting that. Like, what are you people? Were you fake news, et cetera. And so the next thing, you know, Maria Bartiromo finds herself fired. Oh, she's not going down without a fight. She's going nuclear. Maria Bartiromo has a lawyer, you know, she's not going to take a, you know, we wish you well press release. She's fighting back. She's got Brian Friedman. Who's, um, you know, one of the I would say you'd want in a situation like that, probably the attorney that you would want. And she's already in the press saying that the reports or he is, I should say, because you can't talk. That's an interesting little tidbit for you all. I've, I've been through this myself, uh, somewhat similar, different, uh, but somewhat similar. And you really can't talk. You just, they, they muzzle you. So you're still under contract and you could actually forfeit that entire contract. If you talk, because at that point you would be doing something that would be in violation. So she's not saying anything, but she's got her lawyer out there saying, and he's like, no, she's totally an employee. So anything that reports that she's not would be unequivocally false. And now he's saying, we got receipts. We got witnesses. We got the whole thing. And here's the part Fox didn't plan for. Nobody can agree on the story, right? They got something out there saying, Hey, effective today. She is no longer with Fox news media. They go out there. They, they strip her name from all the shows, 12 and a half years. And they strip her name overnight. There's no goodbye. And the last time she was on the air was actually August 9th. And then there was silence. And now there are lawyers and everybody's still trying to figure out what is what. Um, you know, I, I would say that, yes, she's probably still under contract and they're probably still going to have to pay her, but they're trying not to, they're trying to say, well, we're firing you for cause. And her lawyer is like, Oh heck no, you're not doing that. And by the way, any non-compete you try and put in there, not going to work, not going to work because actually they're illegal. They really are. You can't prevent her from going and working somewhere else. And you owe her all the money that you promised her, even though you're trying to float something else. So some people, you know, they're saying, well, maybe it's just that she was too expensive. All right. It's a very easy explanation. It's kind of the explanation we're going with, with Jimmy. I would say he's too expensive and he's a headache and he's not talented with Maria. I don't buy it. I don't buy it. Not for a second, because Maria Sunday show was a okay. Sunday morning futures was their top rated weekend program. She was dwarfing Chris Wallace. Chris Wallace couldn't stand it. I happen to know that. All right. Couldn't stand it. She was killing him in the numbers. Oh, he went bye-bye as well. You don't dump a franchise, right? That prints ratings and therefore is printing money because the invoice got too heavy, especially when you just signed her to a multi-year contract just a few months ago. I mean, networks pay big because they bring in big ratings, right? If the money were a problem, then they would have negotiated something else and they didn't. And yet they yanked her name for the programming, took her name off the door. And you got to ask why. I have some intel and some thoughts on this, but I'll tell you the MAGA world, they're out there and they're already picking a villain and they're not whispering. No, no, no, no, no. They're not by the way, I want to point out the PR people apparently, or somebody in the building confirmed to Axios that she was indeed fired for business reasons. That's pretty aggressive language. And that could come back to haunt them, especially in light of her getting Brian Friedman on her side. But they've, you know, they do this, right? That Lou Dobbs went through it. I went through it to a certain extent in Lou's case, it was because smart Matic had filed suit. And then the next day, poof, he was gone. They announced that maybe to distract in my case, I had the audacity to call coronavirus out as a political issue, right? Because I knew darn well what the Democrats were going to do. And I, you know, look in retrospect, I didn't know everything that was going to happen, believe me, but I did sense one thing that the market should not be trading off 2000 points. I bought back then, by the way, I hope you did too. I didn't think the market should be trading off 2000 points just because CNN had made it into their plane crash. And I basically said, this on the air, and then suddenly I was gone. So they take these opportunities when it politically suits them. But right now they think MAGA world thinks it's Paul Ryan's fault. They think that Paul Ryan was the reason here's the Daily Beast writing MAGA sharpens knives over Trump. Yeah, there's just so mean over there. Trumpy's Trumpy hosts firing. That's what they're calling Maria. I mean, a woman who basically, um, let me just say in defense, Maria, like she basically created financial news journalism and made it popular. And I think that's what they're calling it. Cool. And made it exciting. And you remember her back in the day on CNBC. I used to report at one point from the New York stock exchange on the 11am show. But Maria, when she started was there like all day. And she was there when the stock exchange actually had a lot of people. And so she would get shoved around, you should physically like boom, she'd like move and the camera would have to move with her. That was Maria. Okay, she was there in the sea of these people all traveling around the sea. And she was there. And she was there. And she was there. And she was there. And she was there. And it was back when the New York Stock Exchange was still, you know, being run by human beings, because now it's all computers. And so it's a little bit different. Now it's basically a set. It's a set for CNBC. And so she she was there from the beginning. She was there, you know, she was the one who opened up the stock market, right? To millions of viewers. After 911, like she's been through it all. And so for the Daily Beast to try and make those little snide remarks, I'm telling you, they're just they're the lowest of the lowest. And so Paul Ryan is taking some heat. Let me show you what the mega world Twittersphere is saying. Here we go. Gunther Eagleman. Gunther has a great Twitter account. He's got a million plus followers and he went straight at it. Blame Paul Ryan. He said the boardroom donor class Republicans have spent years sanding the edge off Fox and viewers keep paying the price the network if the network he writes keep sidelining voices who tell the truth about Trump. It should not be shocked when the audience walks. I think a lot of you guys have walked already. You know, good to have you over here. Dan Scavino got in on it, too. And Dan wrote something. I think he even pushed that or maybe he actually retweeted that. Maybe that's what he did. A woman named Pamela Hensley said Fox didn't fire her. They pulled her off the air and will keep paying her through 2029 silencing her through the Ryan strikes again, and then you have Patriot Woman 22 saying, wow, Paul Ryan is our enemy. They removed her from every show so they can silence her, so they can keep her quiet. Contract, non-compete, Ryan and the Murdoch boys before the midterms. Oh boy, this is, you know, so that's the temperature, right? You know, remember Paul Ryan is on the Murdoch's board and during Dominion, he was the guy privately telling the Murdoch, say you better knock off the 2020 stuff. So when Maria suddenly disappears, you have everybody trying to fill this void. And so they're saying, you know, it must've been Paul Ryan that sat in the room and signed the pink slip. I'm not sure that it's as simple as that. Okay. Because I, you know, I think there's some other stuff going on. You know, the one that the Libs love, by the way, I'll get to my theory in a second. The one that the Libs love is that, oh, you know, this is, this is Fox actually taking a stand. This is what you call the bought and paid for special by the PR department. Cause they're like, how can we make this look good for ourselves? Oh, we'll just say that it was our idea that we have principles and she's too cozy cozy with the White House. And we decided to enact those principles back in July, the president did this big primetime speech. He was talking about China. He was talking about election integrity and Fox sends out this internal guidance and it says, don't go down that road on the air. And Maria gets the text. She sees it. She sends it to Peter and it goes up the chain, like all the way I'm guessing to the president. So the White House, the president calls Fox totally furious. And then Fox gets furious at Maria. And that is the story that got leaked. Now, probably that happens. Like I wouldn't be, you know, Peter said it happened and probably that did happen. And I'm sure they weren't happy with Maria, but would you really fire her? Really? I don't think so. Cause doesn't that like all the time, like all the time, if you read the text messages that came out during Dominion, Hannity was like running his, his entire rundown through Mark Meadows every night. Mark would be like, no, I think you should focus more on this or move this story up to the top. It's like, wait a second, who's producing who here? So just saying, I think that they've probably seen that movie before and yet they don't do anything with some people and they did take aim at Maria. So why, why would you do that? I mean, I, I guess you get the PR victory lap because you're all your little liberal reporters will write. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Fox is finally standing up for something. Like when they got rid of me, Fox is finally standing up, you know, this coronavirus thing, they're taking it seriously. And now, oh my gosh, they don't want the cozy, cozy thing with Maria being plugged in at the white house, except that Maria has been plugged in at the white house for years. And that's actually one of the reasons they like her. It's actually one of the reasons they probably renewed her. They like that she has that access. I mean, cause again, they're okay with Hannity having that access and they know he has the access. They saw the darn text that came out between him and Mark during the Dominion thing. Okay. So there you go. FanDuel is now available everywhere in the U S so you can get in on the sports action, no matter where you are, including these places. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. Not everyone at risk will develop it, but I did. The painful blistering rash disrupted my life for weeks. Sponsored by GSK. So here's what I think is sitting underneath all of this. The thing that nobody's talking about. The thing that they're not leading with. And that is Smartmatic. Do not forget Fox cares about the bottom line and bottom line only. All right. We're talking money. They already wrote a check to Dominion for nearly $800 million. Smartmatic is still in court. They're seeking billions, 2.7 to be exact. Maria is named as a defendant in that world. Fox has to indemnify her, which actually could cost them more money. Considering that she used to be a lawyer, she could be in the tent. No, she's not. And that's why I say this one dumb old move by Fox. Nobody said they were that smart. I mean, they may be greedy, but they're not necessarily that smart because I'll tell you, you had a witness that was rowing in the same boat with you. And now you just shoved her. You threw her right out of the boat. And she's there like swimming, you know, treading water, trying to save her life. And you're like, yeah, whatever. her. So you think when she walks into that deposition, when she knows that you threw her out of the boat and she had to tread water and hope she could stay alive, you think that she's on your side? I don't think so, especially Maria. Maria, I know her. She's never going to lie. She's very honest, and I'm not suggesting that in any way, shape, or form. But if you're a lawyer, you want everybody on your side. You don't want anyone who might have an ax to grind against Fox, and now they have a woman who definitely has an ax to grind against Fox. So yeah, maybe the leak was an excuse. Maybe Ryan had something to do with the boardroom discussion. I don't really think that's it, though. Maybe they wanted to muzzle her through 28. It's wishful thinking. You know what I think it is? They just care about the almighty dollar, and they're trying desperately to reposition the network ahead of Smartmatic. They want to clean the slate. They want to rebrand the morning. They want to put Jason Chaffetz's name on there and Maria's Sunday chair, and they want to pretend that the last five years never happened, and that it was just somehow a staffing footnote. They're not thinking through the ramification. They're not actually thinking that none of that matters because the jury is going to be sitting there saying, well, gee, I kept her for all those years. All those many years, and you even renewed her contract. So don't try and tell us that you knew. Oh, and by the way, you allow Hannity to do all this stuff. I'm going to tell you, Maria's a great woman, a great woman, a great reporter, a great friend. I've known her for many years at CNBC and then grew to know her much better, actually. We became really close at Fox, and I don't think she's going to stay quiet. So I don't think Fox wins this bet. Stay with me on this. We're getting new developments regularly. Her lawyer says it's not over. I know it's not over. In fact, I think we're just looking at the opening statements. Ladies and gentlemen, be prepared. Fireworks in Germany. Did you see what's been going on in Germany? We talked a little bit about this. Something extraordinary is happening in Germany, not simply because the conservative populist alternative for Germany, known as the AFD, just won the state election there, but because it won so. Overwhelmingly. So overwhelmingly that Germany's political establishment is running out of ways to keep it from power. In the eastern state of Saxony, Anhalt, the AFD captured nearly 44% of the vote. You get the governing Christian Democrats, you know, the party of Freddie Mertz. Fred Mertz. Yes. Friedrich Mertz. It collapsed to around, what, 17%. Not good, not good. The AFD did not merely beat Mertz's party. It actually received a lot of support. It actually received more than 2%. Two and a half times as much support as Mertz's party. And it more than doubled its result from the previous state election. 43.8%. CDU got 17.2%. And I'll tell you, it's happening for a reason. It's happening for some of the same reasons that Donald Trump was so successful right here at home. The similarities are amazing. Germany's establishment has created what it calls a firewall around AFD. The major parties out there. They have pledged not to form any kind of coalitions with it. So even when the AFD wins the most votes, the other parties, they all gather together to combine forces and keep the AFD out of government. But how long can that go on? I don't think much longer. I don't think you can keep stitching together these other parties and ignore the elephant in the room, which is how the people really feel. The AFD has now learned that winning is not enough, you see, because in order to break through this wall, you have to win. And that's what they're doing. They're going to have to have a full political ground sweep, an outright majority so large that the other parties no longer have the numbers to stop it. And I'm telling you, they're getting there. They are getting there. And that's why today's confrontation in the Bundestag, their parliament, I like saying it, became so explosive. Elise Weidel, she stood across from Chancellor Merz and she declared that voters have had it and they've delivered their verdict. And she went after them on taxes and energy and Ukraine and welfare spending. I mean, she just let them have it. Watch. We must significantly limit payments to the EU, she says, almost a billion. Billion euros flows to Brussels every week, but only a fraction of it comes back. We want our money back, my friends. Yeah, I mean, think about that. The Germans are sending all the money to Brussels instead of keeping it in Germany. She doesn't like that. The people that voted for her, they don't like that. That's not working out so well for them. Not at all. And not to mention taxes, taxes and more taxes. Listen to Weidel here. Oh, I got to stop this. Yeah. I like German a little bit. I actually don't love it. I prefer Italian, but it's kind of interesting to hear it spoken. Mr. Merz, she says Germans are not too lazy to work more. They see that hard work, not pay, becomes an unfair tax system that takes everything away from them. For every euro earned, she says, only 46 cents. Is left. And that is robbery. Above all, people notice when they are being thoroughly fleeced and ripped off. In Sachsen-Anhalt, voters did not just punish you. They pulverized you. Your party, the CDU. In Mecklenburg, Western Germany, it's already a minor party. And nationally, you are well on your way to becoming one. A minor party. Rightly so, she says. Boy, oh boy. Because of that. Because you just keep taxing and taxing. You keep sending it to Brussels. And the people have had enough. You know, and then she dared to go where you're not supposed to go. I mean, it actually gets even worse from here. I'm saving the big, big firework for later. But first, hear what she had to say about Ukraine. And while the U.S. is making another attempt to end the murderous Ukraine, the U.S. is trying to put an end to the war, you are escalating war. Propaganda. Confrontation with Russia. And burning even the last bridges to distract from your own catastrophic political track record. Finally, advocate for peace negotiations, just as the U.S. is doing. Thank you, Elise Weidel. Boy, I heard Mertz didn't really appreciate it because the president congratulated her on the win there. And now he's not having the. Call that they were supposed to have on 9-11. Taking things a little bit personally. But I told you things got really heated. And I was saving the best for last because at one point she started talking about re-migration. And Mertz has a big issue with the AFD's policy on re-migration. What is re-migration? They want to go around and say, OK, all these foreigners that are here illegally and maybe even if you're here legally, I don't know the specifications on this, but they basically want everybody out. They want everyone to re-migrate back home. So they want to get rid of the foreigners and deport them. And so Mertz is out there accusing her party of proposing what he calls ethnic cleaning, removing people from Germany based on their origin or their skin color. Listen here. And when that's what you're propagating, namely re-migration. OK, so the translation here is the term re-migration. Re-migration is nothing other than a synonym for ethnic cleansing based on origin and skin color. If those who work in Germany are forced to leave the country again because you're championing re-migration, then the skilled trades in Germany will no longer be able to function. Then not a single nursing home will remain open and not a single hospital in Germany will continue to operate. Then not a single restaurant could stay in business in Germany. Huh. We've heard similar arguments, have we not, right here at home? I mean, but he's going there. He said the words ethnic cleansing. OK, those are pretty explosive words. It's a pretty explosive accusation, especially in Germany. OK, elephant in the room. We're talking Germany here. So notice what Mertz is doing. He's combining two completely different categories of people, legal immigrants who work. I actually think the AFD is OK with that. Legal immigrants who work, who pay their taxes and fill essential jobs. And he's combining them together with people who enter illegally, commit crimes, or had asylum applications rejected. And so the AFD is saying its re-migration policy is actually aimed at that second category. And Mertz is accusing it of wanting to expel people in the first category based on race. Like, this is the argument that they're trying to sell in Germany. You know, I would just say that, you know, that's quite, you know, they tried that here, too, right? They tried that here, that Trump was a Nazi. I mean, how many times have we heard that on The View? For goodness sakes. But, you know, when you start saying that in Germany, it's really loaded. OK, so I think a lot of Germans are looking at this and they're saying, hey, wait a second. You know, why can't we have legal migration? Why can't we have legal immigrants for what we need? Like, why can't we have a border policy where we say, gosh, this sounds just like us, right? Hey, you know, we need nurses. So let's go get some nurses from the Philippines. And make sure that all their paperwork is done right. And now we got nurses. Let's plug these holes. But let's not say, hey, come one, come all. And the next thing you know, you got 15% of your population being foreign. Not to mention that all the young people are all from the foreigners. Four out of 10 young people now are from foreigners. So you understand, like, the country feels like they're being pushed to the point of no return. That nobody looks like them, sounds like them, has a culture. like them anymore, including a culture of work. I mean, Germans are very, you know, work-oriented. And now they're welfare-oriented. So Merz is going for the most inflammatory accusation he can possibly come up with in Germany. In Germany, where, yeah, the people don't appreciate that 12.4 million people out of the, what, 80-some-odd million there are actually all foreign. 83.5 million, 12.4 million are foreign. And then the number is something even bigger, somewhere around 30% of the population that has foreign ties. I mean, it's really kind of out of control. And then you just keep taxing them and taxing them and taxing them and taxing them and say, if you dare challenge us, if you dare, then you are part of the problem. Part of the darkest period in German history. Part of the period that annihilated 6 million Jews. You see, they try and equate you with Nazism just for saying, hey, I don't want to pay so much in taxes. I'll tell you, that's going to get old fast in Germany, just like it got old here. And the reality in Germany is that the public thinks the state has lost all control. And, you know, the public is right. Because when you see billions of dollars being spent on usurping, you know, the public is right. Because when you see billions of dollars being spent on asylum benefits while local communities are struggling with housing and crowded classrooms and strained public services. What are you going to think? You have people whose asylum claims have been rejected and yet they get to remain in the country and collect all the welfare. Does this sound familiar or does it sound familiar? They have a welfare system that is completely out of control, that has allowed for uncontrolled migration, has allowed for massive financial obligations to be undertaken by the German people, and has allowed for their society to reach a breaking point where you have mass inflation roughly 21% between 2020 and today and barely any economic growth at all. The German government's own statistics show right now 400,000 people receive an asylum seeker benefit. With direct spending totaling somewhere around 6.2 billion, I mean, that is a burden, okay? It's a burden for a small country, a small economy relative to ours. You got millions of people working, you got millions of people paying taxes, and millions of people that are suffering and all you do is care about the migrants. That's not going to fly, okay? You can tell them that they're turning into Nazis as much as you want, and I get it. It has a very special and very specific and very ominous and scary meaning in the country of Germany. But at some point, the people are like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, which is where, you know, you get Elise Weidel from. I mean, this party, by the way, I just want to point out, it was created in 2013. It did not begin as a Nazi movement, okay? No matter what Merz tries to tell you, it was founded by a bunch of wonky economists and academics who basically looked at how stupid that Eurozone bailout was, and Angela Merkel. Her management of the European debt crisis was a disaster, and the whole thing got put on Germany. And they're like, we don't think so. We don't want to pay for Greece, right? So it was actually nicknamed the Professor's Party. And Elise Weidel herself, she's an economist. She worked like a gazillion years for Goldman Sachs in China. She speaks fluent Mandarin, and she happens to be gay. I mean, it's neither here nor there, but, you know, painting her as a Nazi, I don't think is really going to work. She has a Sri Lankan girlfriend that is the mother, you know, they have two children together. So, you know, guys, I don't think it's going to work. I don't think it's going to work. I get that Merz wants to do this, because it's the easiest place to go. We see them try and take that tactic here in the US as well. And I get that it's hard in Germany, and perhaps very expediently. and very tactical in Germany, given the horror of their history, right? So any nationalist movement that comes along is immediately going to face this level of hysterical scrutiny that wouldn't necessarily happen anywhere else, right? In fairness, right? You've got to understand that they have that history. And then also in fairness, they have had some people within the AFD who have had some rather extreme views and very bad views and have said some very bad things. But, you know, that happens in any party. So you can't just say that Elise Weidel and everybody that supports her, you know, is of the opinion that some whack job was because you got one whack job in the party. It doesn't mean that the entire party is that way, but that's what they're trying to do. They're trying to attach it to her. They're trying to attach it to the entire party. It's like, it's just like, what happened? What happened with us right after J6? What happened? Oh, okay. If you support Donald Trump, then you are a bad person. You are, you know, you're for all these conspiracies. You're a Trumper. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da. You know, maybe, you know, maybe you're, you're just, I don't even want to say. Okay. So that's what they're doing. And I would say, just like in the U.S., German people are speaking up and Sachsen-Anhalt is a very big deal. Very big deal. And it's, it's, it's going to keep happening. This firewall that they've put out for the deplorables, you know, to keep them away. A firewall is only effective when the parties behind it retain enough votes to build an alternative majority. At 20%, a party can be isolated like AFD. I get it. They can be isolated there. At 30%, isolation becomes a lot more difficult, but at nearly 44%, the system begins bending itself into very unnatural shapes just to keep the election winner from governing. And if the AFD gains only a few more points, guess what? That firewall, it does not bend. It breaks. And that is the arc that we are watching right now in real time play across Germany. A party founded by economists only 13 years ago, then transformed by the migration crisis, is now approaching outright power. And Germany's political class believes they can stop it by, making it morally unacceptable and morally untouchable. But I'll tell you the voters of Saxony Anhalt, they delivered a very different message. You may refuse to join them. You may call them extremists. You may construct an alliance of every other party to try and keep them out. But unless Germany's leaders address the forces driving voters towards the AFD, which is immigration, welfare, insane taxation, economic decline, energy costs, and the feeling that ordinary people just don't matter anymore. Ordinary Germans are somehow, irrelevant. You are not going to stop them. You're not going to have a firewall that's big enough to stop the people themselves, because this really is about power to the people. And it reminds me of the movie I just saw last weekend that's coming out September 11th. I encourage you, again, this is, it's a similar story. I mean, look, this kind of thing happens all through history. You can go back to the 1380s in the UK. It's called the uprising. Garfield is in it. The guy who directed the Jason Bourne movie, he's the director of it. It is really, really cinematically a powerful movie to see. I mean, it's rated R, by the way. So over the age of 17 and less with a parent, I don't think I'd let my kids see it just because it can be, I mean, it's very real world, right? And it's worth understanding and knowing, but it's violent because these uprisings, unfortunately, you know, historically are violent. Let's hope that we don't say anything like that in Germany, okay? Like in Germany, you just want this to be political, but in this case, it's the story of like an everyday serf who's getting taxed and taxed and taxed and taxed. And this is in the 1380s and they had already been through the plague and so many people had died. And then they were trying to tax you for the dead people because they didn't believe that everybody was dead. The population had dwindled so much and they wanted more tax money, more tax money, more tax money to go fight their war with France. And at some point, the people were like, no, we have had enough. And it's that story of them, standing up to the monarchy, standing up to power. And I really thought it was a powerful story. So go see it if you can. It's called The Uprising and it is out September 11th. Iran, very much in the news today. The US has taken out five Iranian tankers, guys, five Iranian tankers. Let's look at the video from CENTCOM. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Okay. So you're seeing these five Iranian oil tankers getting taken out. And this means that, you know, they only, what did they have? We talked about this yesterday, 30 million barrels. And it looks like now they're down to 26. Okay. 26 million. That's all they got left. Money's running thin. And the Secretary of State says, hey, you know, you keep going after us. And there's going to be more where that came from. There's going to be a whole lot more where that came from because we're just going to keep retaliating. And every time we retaliate, we take out your tankers and we take out your oil. Remember, I told you yesterday that they had a little bit of oil that they had. Siphoned off. And so it was sitting out there in the water and they're just trying to sell it to China. And so that's, that's what's happened. You know, they're not going to be able to sell all that to China. They just lost about 4 million barrels. Here's Marco Rubio saying, you guys keep doing this and we'll keep doing it too. Can you speak about the US strikes on the Iranian tankers and explain what the back and forth has been in the last 24 hours? Yeah, the back and forth is pretty straightforward. And that is that Iran continues to try to hit US naval ships. And for every time, we're going to be able to hit them. And we're going to be able to hit them. And we're going to be able to do that or try to do that. They're going to lose tankers. And I think you'll see that again today. Can you talk a little bit more? I know you've already addressed this in Spanish, but for the English speakers here about the security cooperation. The Wall Street Journal reporting US strikes. Iranian oil tankers after Tehran targets Navy ships. The American attacks came after Iran targeted some US warships as fears grow that Tehran's missiles are becoming more sophisticated. That was the title. Of that article, I'm going to tell you right here, this is what we took out, okay? So I was tallying it up. These are the IRGC shadow tankers. We talked about these shadow tankers before. Basically, they switch the flags on them and they kind of try and float them under the radar. So you don't really know that they're Iranian ships. But ha ha, guess what? We do. We know that they're Iranian ships and we just took them out. So here's the name of all five of them. And here's how much oil that they had on board. In one case, you had liquid natural gas. But you're talking about 2 million barrels there and then 800. Million. Wait, so it was 800,000. Okay, so it goes on down the list. In sums, it was a grand total of 3.9 million barrels. So 3.9 million barrels that they no longer have as of today. That's kind of a big deal, right? Kind of a big deal. CENTCOM, meanwhile, saying no US Navy warship has been struck. So they tried to attack, but they didn't succeed. All IRGC attempted attacks failed. Meanwhile, US forces have successfully destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in just the last week. So five overnight, five earlier in the week. These vessels were part of a billion dollar, multi-billion dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC and Iran cannot defend them. Again, this is a big deal because that's a dwindling oil supply. We heard from Besant, who's telling us they're down to their last 30 million. This was yesterday. So now they're down 4 million more. So we're at 26 million barrels and counting, Iran. The things we've done, and what the president's done, is fantastic sequencing. So we are running Operation Economic Outcast right now. And this is the greatest economic isolation operation in the history of the world. We are going to asphyxiate this regime. Now we have the blockade. And because of the blockade, oil is not getting out. So there's probably only about 30 million barrels of Iranian oil. So that will run out soon. And there will be no problem with China buying because they have no product. So the blockade is working. It's working like nothing we've ever seen. And the combination, everyone says, oh, sanctions don't work. I can tell you, blockade and sanctions are one of the most powerful one-two punches in the history of economic isolation. Wow. Wow. I want to show you, here's the blockade. Okay. So the blockade, if you look at the orange on that map, you see all the very important ports from Iran. And then you've got the blockade, the US blockade. Our Navy is saying, okay, none of this is going to get out. None of it. So some of it was outside the blockade already. Those were the five tankers, the shadow tankers that have been destroyed. So if you think about it, they were at 30 million that they had managed to get out before the blockade went in again. And all that oil is hanging out there. And we just took out five boats, which means that we are running out of oil. And that oil is hanging out there. And we just they're now down to 26 million barrels. And they're going to go through that pretty quickly. So the squeeze is on. What happens when all those ports that you see in that red line, they just start overflowing with oil and all of their facilities, like they can't take it. They have so much oil in there and they can't get any of it out. That's entirely how they make their money. They're not going to have access to anything. They're not going to be able to pay all their rogue groups, right? They won't be able to. They're not going to be able to access They are going to have themselves in trouble. is a good old fashioned, big old problem. Once the 26 million barrels of oil are gone, I'd like to find the rest of the shadow tankers and take out the 26 between now and next week. And we may actually wind up doing that because again, going back to what Marco Rubio said, we're just going to keep doing it. All right. You keep doing this to us. We'll finish this and we'll finish it fast. Good to have you guys here. Reminder, if you haven't gone to my 76 research, please go over there. Check out those portfolios. We have three major portfolios, American Resilience, Inflation Protection, Income Builder. All of them have done extraordinarily well. So I encourage you to be invested and to benefit from, there's a lot of good stuff going on. I realize the oil markets are a little bit scary today. Oil's going up too right now. But overall, there's a lot of good stuff going on. And I know AI is scary. Believe me, I get it. But there's going to be a lot of opportunity. And we want to make sure that you are part of that opportunity. Thank you so much for all the good comments. It is wonderful to have you here. We'll be back live on the program again tomorrow. I will see you then.
