Speaker 1Shall we have a word of prayer? We all with an unveiled face, beholding us in a glass, the glory of the Lord are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even us by the spirit of the Lord. And tonight, we ask that you grant unto us that spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Let the eyes of our understanding be enlightened, flooded with light, that we may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to ask what we believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which was wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand. Far above all principality and power, might and dominion, and every other name that is named, not only in this world, but in that also which is to come, and has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all and in all. Wonderful Jesus, blessed Holy Spirit, open our eyes, anoint our eyes with eyesalve to see the glories and the wonders of our Savior. Thank you that you are here, in your manifest presence, in your humble preeminence, in Jesus' name, the Son of God, Amen. Hallelujah. Turn with me to the book of Hebrews, chapter 5. Hebrews, chapter 5. Jesus Christ, our elevated high priest. Very wonderful. Now, there's a difference between. A prophet and a high priest. There's a difference. A prophet represents God to the people. So, a prophet is God's spokesman. God's spokesman. He represents God to the people. But, the high priest is vice versa. The high priest represents the people to God. He represents the people to God. So, the Bible says, For every high priest taken from among men, so the high priest is taken from men. He's taken from among men. Because a high priest must be a man. If Jesus didn't become a man, he couldn't have been a high priest. Because he must be a man to represent us. That is why, though God, he became a man. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us. John 1, verse 14. And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifested in the flesh. 1 Timothy 3, verse 16. So, Jesus, the Word of God, became flesh, or became a man. So that he could become our high priest. He must be a man to represent us. Praise God. Represent us before God. So, the Bible says that every high priest, Hebrews 5, verse 1, chosen from among men, is ordained for men in things pertaining to God. That he may offer, both gifts and sacrifices for sons. I want us to see verse 2. Who can have compassion on the ignorant? So, the high priest just shouldn't only be a man to represent the people. But one significant feature or characteristic concerning the high priest is that he must have compassion for his people. So, to qualify for the high priest, a high priest might be someone who has experienced what the people have experienced. Who have sat where the people have sat. Who have felt what the people feel. Who have been tempted like the people. You see, a high priest must be able to identify with the challenges, with the frailties, with, you know, all that the people are going through. He must also have an experience so he can properly represent them. That is why Jesus became a man. And the Bible says that he himself, he was tempted. You know, he suffered. And being tempted, he's able to succor, them that are tempted. So, all that we went through, Jesus Christ also went through. Praise God. That is why he qualifies to be our high priest. Because what you are feeling, he felt it. Because he was once like you. He's a man. Now, in Israel, the high priest is the highest authority in Israel. The highest authority in Israel. But, there's one exception. When Israel came out of Egypt, if the high priest is the highest authority in Israel, how come Moses was not a high priest, but Aaron was a high priest? Why not Moses, but Aaron? Moses didn't qualify. You know why? Where was Moses the first 40 years of his life? He was in a palace living as a prince. And where was Aaron? He was a slave suffering with the people. So, Aaron was bearing the burdens of the people. Sat where they sat when they were raped. He was also raped. You know? He suffered with the people for the first 40 years. But, Moses was a drinking series Don Simon. He didn't know what suffering was all about. In the palace, treated like a prince. So, Aaron qualified. Because he sat where the people sat. He felt what he felt. So, he qualified to be the high priest because he should have compassion on the people because he's experienced what they're experiencing. Look at how Adam came. Adam was created as a full-fledged man. He was made an adult. But, Jesus Christ didn't come that way. There is a reason Jesus Christ didn't come as a full-fledged adult. The last Adam didn't come as a full-fledged adult. He was born as a baby. And he grew through infancy. Became a toddler. Then he became, through 10 years, he became an adolescent. And into adult years, he went through the vicissitude of a child. What children go through, he went through. What babies went through, he went through. What infants went through, he went through. What adolescent goes through, he went through. He has passed through everything, why? To qualify as the high priest. Because what you are sensing, he also sensed it. What you are passing through, he also passed through. He has passed through various stages in life to be able to identify with you. So, if you are a young guy, and you are facing temptation, you must also face temptation. All the challenges of youth, all the temptations of the teen years, of adolescent years, Jesus passed through. All the vicissitudes of childhood, and the challenges babies went through, he went through. Why? To be the Lord High Priest. To suffer the things we have suffered. So, he can bear with you. Hallelujah. God could have brought him like Adam came. But he had to be born as a baby. So, he understands it. He understands it. He understands what it feels like to have a rebellious son. He understands it. So, in Hebrews 4:15, the Bible says that we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like us we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15. Yeah. The Bible says he is touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like us we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15. Yeah. Sometimes you are going through difficult situations and someone goes like, "Brother, I understand what you are going through." But you know he doesn't understand. But you know he doesn't understand. You know, sometimes people don't really know how to grieve or how to bear with people in their circumstances. So, the best they can say is that, "Oh, I understand what you are going through. I understand your pain." But you know he doesn't understand the pain you are going through. You know he doesn't know how you are feeling. But Jesus, the Bible says he is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. You know, the word "feeling of our infirmities" is the word "sympathio." Sympathio. Literally, the same feeling. Now, Jesus doesn't only understand what you are going through. He doesn't only sympathize with what you are going through. It is one thing to understand what you are going through. Sometimes you need someone to understand you. Sometimes you need someone to sympathize with what you are going through. But for Jesus, the word "sympathio," what you are feeling, he is feeling the same thing. I am telling you that regardless of the pain you are in and what you are feeling and the kind of trauma you are in, what you are feeling, he is sharing the same feeling with you. That's Jesus. He feels what you feel. Now, Jesus knows what it means to suffer rejection. Now, if I suffer rejection, he knows what it means to be forsaken. Jesus knows what it means to suffer to lose a loved one. He knows all things. He feels what you are feeling. He cares for you. Jesus wept. The Bible says, "And Jesus wept." Why? Because the people were weeping. We saw how he felt, what the others were feeling. He is our perfect high priest. Hallelujah. And he qualifies. He qualifies. He qualifies. The things you are going through, he is not quick to condemn you and to put you down. He doesn't do that. He understands you like no man. If you knew this, sometimes when you are in pain, the first thing you look for is your telephone to call people who don't even understand what you are going through and to share your challenges with them. But there is one who understands you most and who is ready to help you and not to condemn you but to prop you up and to raise you up. His name is Jesus. If you knew who really he is when you are in the deepest challenge of life, you talk to him first. I'm telling you. After talking to him, you realize that those you wanted to call sometimes it's not even necessary to call them. It's not necessary to call them. But if it is, he will lead you to talk to those he has ordained for you to talk to. And that way to be lighter. That's our savior Jesus. The high priest. Hallelujah. Praise God. Under the old covenant, there were certain laws given to the high priest. One is this. According to Leviticus 21 verse 10, one thing the high priest cannot do is to rend his clothes. No, you cannot tear your clothes. You cannot rend it. God doesn't allow it. That is why when Aaron lost his children, you know he lost his two children because they offered strange fire. When he lost his two children, he wasn't allowed to wear them. He wasn't allowed to mourn. That was hard. Now, the Jews mourned by tearing their clothes. Because rending their clothes was symbolic of sorrow and mourning. So normally in the Bible, when someone is mourning, you just have to tear their clothes apart. It's a sign of mourning. It's a sign that you are in deep sorrow. If you don't tear your clothes, you are not serious. So Aaron's sons died and he was not supposed to be. He was supposed to tear his clothes. Why? Because he was wearing the high priest's ligament. And he's not wearing it in his personal capacity. As long as he's wearing the high priest's ligament, he becomes the representative man. He's there for the nation. So he couldn't tear or rend his garment. Now, why am I saying this? When Jesus was led to the house of Caiaphas, Caiaphas said to him, I had joddy by the living God. Tell us if you are the Christ, the son of God. Because Jesus had kept quiet. He wasn't speaking. Now he says, I had joddy. You know what that means? That says that's serious. That's Matthew chapter 26. When he stood in the house of Caiaphas. He said, I had joddy. Now, verse 63 and verse 65. It's amazing. No, Jesus was quiet. But when he says, I had joddy, that means that I put you under oath to tell us if you are the son of God. It goes like this. That's verse 63. It goes like this. I put you under swearing to tell us if you are the son of God. And you see, under the law, in Leviticus 5.1, if I put you under swearing, you have to say the truth as it is. Because Jesus knew the law. So when the high priest put Jesus under oath, Jesus had to respond. He had to respond. That you are saying that I am. You are saying it. Henceforth you shall see the son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God. Hallelujah. So the moment Jesus acknowledged that he was the son of God, in verse 65 of Matthew, verse 26, Caiaphas, who was the last of the Aaronic priesthood, tore his garment. According to the law, he was not supposed to do that. But here, the Bible says he reined his garment. It was symbolic. Because he was the last of the Aaronic priesthood. And God allowed it because the Aaronic priesthood was over. It was over. So the Aaronic priesthood of the Old Covenant, had ended. So God allowed him to rend it. In front of the coming high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, the new high priest of the New Covenant of the Age of Grace. And amazingly, Caiaphas was the 49th high priest. Jesus, the 50th high priest. In Hebraism, 50 is the number of Jubilee. He was a high priest who came to usher us into our Jubilee. You know, the year of Jubilee is the acceptable year of the Lord. Now, if you understand Jubilee, it's amazing. During the year of Jubilee, no matter how much I'm owing you, your debts are canceled, free of charge. Every prisoner goes home free. Every slave goes back home. If I've mortgaged a land, the land comes back to you. Whatever you mortgage comes back to you. There is family reunion. That's a blessing. So that is the acceptable year of the Lord. The year where the free favors of God profusely abound. That is Jubilee. And Jesus, the 50th high priest, came to usher us into our Jubilee. Into victory. Into joy. Into peace. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Glory to God. Praise God. Glory to God. And you know, when our Lord Jesus was on the cross, in the Old Testament, when the high priest enters the holiest and he comes out, and his offering is accepted, there's one word he shouts, Kela. Kela. The Hebrew for finished. But in the Greek, it is tetelestai. In English, it is finished. But the Hebrew says finished. The high priest will say finished. Jesus on the cross, he said finished. It is finished. It is finished. It is finished. Then he bowed his head. I even love how Jesus died. No, in history, nobody ever who was crucified died this way. Nobody did that. They all died this way. They broke their skull. Because when their legs are broken, and there's a suffocation of the lungs, they try to push up to breathe. So they end up breaking their head. So everyone, one dies this way on the cross. There's only one exemption, one person who died this way. The Bible says he bowed his head, and that is a push-out of worship. Wow. After he said it is finished. Now even in death, he was victorious. You know that Jesus didn't die slowly. You know, when a man is dying, he dies slowly. It's like death is coming, 30 percent. Death is 40 percent. You know, you know this guy is going, 50 percent. You know, 90 percent. He's going, he's going. And he's gone. But Jesus didn't die that way. He didn't die that way. When he was on the cross, you know what he did? He did. After everything was done, the Bible says, he said, "Father, into your hands, I command my spirit." But the Greek is not command. The Greek says, "Father, into your hands, I command my spirit." He himself said, "Father, into your hands, I command my spirit." He himself commanded his spirit out of him. One version says, one gospel says, "And he dismissed his spirit." It's the word for a king. After he had spoken to his subject, he dismisses them. So, when he was ready, he dismissed his spirit, and he died. You know, those sufferings couldn't. You know, Jesus couldn't just die because death had no claim on him, because there was no sin in him. That's why many a times, they took stones, and they were dazzled. They couldn't stone him. In Israel, no one would pick a stone and not stone you. They don't do that. No one would pick a stone and put it back. Even when he began his ministry in Nazareth, they picked stones to stone him, but he walked in the midst of them. Then he went his way. I don't know. You may call it passing through anoint. He just passed through. And they were holding their stones, and they were dazzled. Because death had no claim on him, because there was no sin in him. In Israel, death had no claim on him, because there was no sin in him. The only way he could die was when he was made sin, and he himself commanded and dismissed his spirit. And where Jesus is, there is no death. If Jesus is here, death cannot occur. In fact, Jesus had to die first before the two thieves could even die. I'm telling you. And God intentionally put him between two robbers, left and right, to redeem you from being robbed left and right. Your health will not be robbed. Your peace will not be robbed. Your joy will not be robbed. Your patience will not be robbed. In Jesus' name. Now, the moment Jesus said, "It is finished," do you know what happened? The veil in the temple was torn. Do you know how big the veil was? 600 feet long. Sorry, 60 feet long, 30 feet wide. 60 feet long, 30 feet wide. It was about four inches thick. It was about and it was torn, not from bottom to top, but from top to bottom. So it was torn. You know why it was torn? When the veil was torn, you know what it revealed? The earthly ministry of the earthly high priest was over. It was over. Because their ministry was in the holies of holies. And now it has been torn. It was torn. And when it was torn, God came out from the holies of holies to welcome his children. Amen. The ministry of the earthly high priest was over. And Jesus died and resurrected. And we knew that he first manifested as a high priest. Now when he resurrected, Mary Magdalene saw Jesus. You know the discourse in John. Mary Magdalene actually thought Jesus was a gardener. So he said, Oh, if you know where they have placed him, tell me and I'll go. I'll go and fetch him. She laughed at him so much that she wasn't even thinking right. How can you alone carry the body of Jesus? Yes. And the Bible says, supposing that he was a gardener. Can you imagine? So the risen Lord appeared himself first, like a gardener, to Mary Magdalene. Why? Why? Because the first man Adam was a gardener. He appeared as a gardener to tell us that Eden has been restored. Eden is restored. I'm telling you, Eden. We can live above the curse. Then Mary Magdalene was so happy, was come to touch Jesus and hug Jesus. Jesus said, don't do that. In John 20 verse 17, Jesus says, touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. The reason is because when a high priest is sending his blood sacrifice, you don't touch him. In the old covenant, you don't touch him. So Jesus did that for us to see that he rose up as a Lord high priest. Because he was presenting his blood to heaven. He had to send his blood to heaven. You know, Jesus ascended twice. He had to send his blood to heaven because he said, don't touch me. You can't touch the high priest when he's presenting offerings. He has to go in first and come and tell Thomas, touch my hands and touch my side. You know? So that's what Jesus did. So he was a high priest who took his blood and carried all the places where the blood was shed. He carried all the blood and presented it for our redemption. Hallelujah. Now Jesus is a high priest, but after a new order. After a new order, the Aaronic high priest was but a type, a shadow of Jesus' high priesthood ministry. But Jesus came after a new order called, the Melchizedek order. The Melchizedekan order. That's his high priesthood. So I want us to read Hebrews chapter 7 and see Jesus' high priestly ministry. How it operates and how it functions. For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham, returning from the slaughter of kings and blessed him. To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being by interpretation king of righteousness and after that also king of Salem, which is king of peace. Verse 3. All right. Without father, without mother, without descent, without beginning of days, no end of life, but made like unto the Son of God, abided a priest continually. Now this Melchizedek, the Bible says he's made like unto the Son of God. It's amazing. He's made like. The Greek actually says, he's made to resemble the Son of God. That's the Greek. He's made to resemble the Son of God. Now, take me to the Passion Translation. The Passion Translation. Thank you very much. Look at what it says. This Melchizedek has no father or mother and no record of any of his ancestors. He was never born and never died, but his life is like a picture of the Son of God. His life is like a picture of the Son of God. The word is assimilated unto the Son of God. Let me illustrate it this way. Assuming I have a document, which is the original document here. And this document is going to be used somewhere in the future. But for this document to be understood, I decided to make a photocopy. So the original copy is photocopied and I give you the photocopy to use in the future. I use the black and white copy. So you can understand how the original copy will operate if the time comes. That's the word, made like unto the Son of God. So Jesus is the real copy, the original colored copy. But a photocopy was made and was finished to a generation so that those who will come in the latter years will understand how the original copy, Jesus' priesthood, will be. Praise God. So Jesus is not assimilated unto Melchizedek. Melchizedek is assimilated unto Jesus. Jesus is the greater. He is made to resemble Jesus. So he is the resemblance. Jesus is the real copy. Hallelujah. Now, there are a few verses, about three verses about Melchizedek. I mean, much is not said about him in Genesis chapter 14. So there are three things about his ministry, what he did. That gives us a clue to what Jesus' high priestly ministry will do. Praise God. Because that's the photocopy. That's the photocopy of the original. What is the ministry of Melchizedek? Number one, the first thing he did is in Genesis 14, blessed, he blessed. It's a ministry that blesses. Blessed be. Blessed. He blessed Abraham of the most high God. In fact, he blessed Abraham then he blessed God. That ministry is a ministry that blesses. Now, Aaronic ministry is a ministry that both blesses and curses. Aaronic ministry blesses and curses. But the Melchizedek ministry only blesses. It doesn't curse. The reason it doesn't curse is because Christ has redeemed us already from the curse of the law. Being made a curse for us. You see, for it is written that curse is every man that hanged upon the tree. So that ministry does not curse. It only blesses. But Aaronic ministry will bless and will curse. Hallelujah. The second thing about the Melchizedek ministry is that it gives communion. Melchizedek blessed, gave communion, and received tithe. These are the three things. He blessed Abraham. He blessed God. He gave communion then he received tithe. What a blessing. Communion is for your health. The tithe is for your wealth. Yeah. Do you know the word wealth in Hebrew? It's Asa. The word tithe is Mesa. In etymology, Asa is found in Mesa. Your wealth is found in your tithe. Why are you not happy when tithe is mentioned? Now, but most importantly, the communion, the communion shows his death. The communion reveals his death. But the tithe reveals that he's alive. That's the Melchizedek ministry. The communion, because in 1 Corinthians 11 verse 26, as for as oft as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he comes. So the communion is to show Jesus' death. The communion is to show that Jesus died. Praise the Lord. But the tithe is to show that he's alive. Hebrews chapter 8 verse 7. Look at Hebrews 8 verse 7. Anytime you give tithe, you are proving that Jesus is alive. Hebrews 8 verse 7, King James Version. 7, 8. Sorry, 7, 8 rather. 7, 8. And here, that's, on earth. Men that die receive tithe. But there he received them of whom it is witnessed that he lived. Even today, Jesus, our heavenly Melchizedek is receiving tithe. And your tithe, when you give to him, is a witness that he's alive. But there he received them. Now, the word received them, the word received in the Greek is in the present active participle in the Greek. Now, present tense in the Greek is an action in the present time in a continual fashion. What it means is that there he's constantly and continuously receiving our tithe. But that, it is a witness that he's alive. Because if he's receiving it constantly, then he must be alive. So when you give tithe, you are saying that Jesus is alive. Jesus is alive. Because he's our Lord High Priest. Heavenly High Priest. he's alive he's alive your tithe is a testimony that he's alive hallelujah praise god so that's the Melchizedek ministry out here with me all right hebrews chapter 7 now let's go to verse 25 hebrews 7 verse 25 i want to show you what jesus does and what he's able to do why for he's able also to save them to the uttermost that come to god by him seen he ever lived to make intercession for them and let's read verse 26 so you understand that he's talking about our jesus as our high priest for such an high priest became us who is holy harmless undefiled separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens okay let's go back to 25 and let's see our elevated high priest wherefore or therefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost our high priest in heaven the bible says he's able to save you to the uttermost he's able to save save save save now you see sometimes when we read the bible um when you hear see a word like a word like save what comes to your mind first is saved from hell true or false but the idea is far bigger than that what comes to your head first is that oh so we are not going to hell that's not it it's beyond that of course it's primary eternal salvation is primary but the idea behind this verse is beyond that when you see save the greek word is sozo the use of it is far beyond not going to hell okay now in the greek when the bible was written the greek words were far greater than english in fact the english words were limited the ratio was one is to five so there were more words in greek five times as much as english so sometimes one word in greek will take about 10 words in english to explain it for instance the word save here is sozo but it's the same word for heal it's the word for heal when the woman with the issue of blood touched jesus and she was healed jesus said your faith has healed you is the word sozo is sozo but is the word save but the english said healed you other version says made you whole is the word sozo so the word save here is actually an all-encompassing word it's in the in the new testament it is used as a deliverer so the word save here is actually an all-encompassing word it's in the in the new testament it is used as a deliverer so the word save here is actually an all-encompassing word it's in the or rescue for other versions we say rescue so sozo means to rescue to heal to deliver it means to preserve to protect to provide all of these words are in the word sozo it's an all-encompassing word your deliverance your healing your prosperity your protection your preservation all of these words are in the word sozo out here with me so he says therefore he is able to save you to the uttermost that's jesus he's able to heal you to the uttermost he's able to rescue you to the uttermost he's able to provide for you to the uttermost he's able to heal you deliver rescue provide protect you to the uttermost that comes to god by him now you need to understand that the use of the word sozo save or salvation the first use according to scholars like vines and thea the first use of the word save or salvation is not even our eternal salvation the first use and the most regular use in the new testament in order is our day-to-day salvation god is interested in your eternal salvation as well as your day-to-day salvation day-to-day salvation is that you need some saving today i'm telling that your marriage may need some saving today your finances may need some saving your career may need some saving today your academic work work may need some saving today something about you your relationship your home something a dispute something in the court you may need some saving today so jesus christ is our daily savior hallelujah daily savior the word saved is to speaks of temporal salvation from danger and apprehension so he's willing to save you day by day he's willing to save you on monday save you on tuesday save you on wednesday save you on thursday save you on friday save you on saturday on sunday day to day salvation so when the bible says he's able also to save them to the uttermost then what has to do with day-to-day salvation he wants to save you today want to rescue you today your marriage needs some saving your finances need some saving you need some mental health and he is willing he's able to save them heal them preserve them protect them provide for them to the uttermost that come to god by him that's what he's able to do so i don't know the diagnosis you have from the doctor but he's able to save you today he has the ability to heal you today to deliver you today to rescue you today from that shame and from that predicament he is able the bible says he is able also to save them to the uttermost the uttermost that's this of who jesus is he doesn't just heal or deliver or rescue when he saves it is to the uttermost the word is panteleis in the greek panteleis p-a-n-t-e-l-e-s composed of two words pan and tellus now pan means all every way from every angle that's the meaning of the word pan every way from every angle and tellus means completely entirely continually to the end so how do you put it together how do you put it together he's able to save you every way from every angle completely entirely continually to the end that's jesus that's jesus he's able to heal you rescue deliver preserve protect provide for you from every way everywhere from every angle completely entirely not just for two days but continually not shortly not temper up to the end to the end that's his power that's what he's able to do hallelujah every way from every angle that's what i like about god every way from every angle you know god is masterful in saving us look at israel once upon a time he wanted to deliver israel in the days of judges and in the days of caesarian you know what he did got through stones from heaven the angels were throwing stones from heaven they called that hailstones god can use stones to deliver you stones when when absalom rebelled against david during the battle the bible says the wood devoured more than the sword so the wood was fighting for david the wood devoured the people more than the sword so god can decide to use the wood to fight your battle the trees to fight your battle every way from every angle every way from every angle that's what he can do that's the power of god that's the power of god man look at gideon with the 300 facing the vast army hundreds of thousands you know what they use for the battle a trumpet who goes to battle with a trumpet a trumpet and a lantern this time the lantern was like a an ethan pitcher you see it would is a ethan vessel it was just light so the military went to the battle with trumpet and with lantern to fight and when they a battle was about to begin they said the sword of god and of gideon meanwhile they were not holding any sword the sword of god and of gideon and they hit the trumpets they hit the ethan pitch out the trumpet that's all the battle was won their enemies began to kill themselves so he's able to save you every way from every angle every way from every angle and i know you say you're not feeling well but god can use the communion to heal that cancer but with another person god can use healing of all of hands to heal that tuberculosis yet with another person god can heal the confessions of use the confessions of faith to heal that sick person with another person the person will go to the hospital and go to work through the doctors to bring healing to the person every way from every angle every way from every angle to bring healing every way from every angle and with some people with some people first corinthians 1 24 but unto us who are being saved both jews and greeks christ the power of god and christ the wisdom of god sometimes god in healing you doesn't manifest as the power of god but god manifests as the wisdom of god what you may need is more rest what you may need for your healing is a little rest or more rest what you may need for your healing is balanced diet or eating well so no matter what he's able to heal you every way from every angle time sometimes as a power of god other times as a wisdom of god he will give you wisdom to say rest rest more because your healing is in your rest that is what god can do we serve a god of all possibilities there is nothing he cannot do. He is omnipotent. He is El Shaddai. All power belongs to him. Hallelujah. That's our high priest. Every way. From every anger. Every anger. Every anger. Every way. Every way. There was a meeting and a man of God prophesied to prophesied to someone in the congregation and said do you have a passport? He says no. It was Saturday. He says I see you in South America on Monday. And it's a Saturday. I see you. He said do you have passport? He said I don't have it. He said by Monday you'll be in South America. The guy was just laughing. He said this man of God. They don't know what they're talking about. Every way. From every anger. I'm telling you that by this was Saturday. Sunday morning he had a call. And he said we are calling from this part of America and we want to employ you for our job. He says I don't have a passport. He said it doesn't matter. We are coming to pick you up with our private jet. Woo! Happy birthday! After that we will process your passport for you. By Monday he called the man of God and said the prophet has come to pass. I'm calling from South America. Every way. From every anger. What Samson saw was just the jawbone of an ass. That's what he found. And God gave him great victory just with the jawbone of an ass. Every way. From every anger. Jesus fed. You know how many Jesus fed? The multitude with five loaves of bread and two fishes. The Greek actually says five crackers and two small sardines. That's the Greek. Two small sardines. And the Bible says that the number of them were 5,000 men. No, the Greek word for men is anthropos. But the word there is not anthropos. The word is ane. Ane is the word used for husbands or heads of families. So there were 5,000 heads of families. Because they were sitting in families. So the heads of families were 5,000. And scholars believe that approximately about 40,000 people were there. 40,000 people. And Jesus, all that they could find was a lunch of a lad. A five-year-old boy. And with that lunch of a lad, he fed every way from every anger. That is what he can do. Every way from every anger. He fed all of them. And there were 12 baskets of 12 baskets left over on the left. One for every disciple. So that Judas and Peter would not fight. Every way. Every way. Completely, entirely. So I want you to have confidence in your Jesus. Trust him. Because he is all that we have. And he is sufficient. He is enough. He is the all-sufficient panoply. He is enough. He is enough for us. Praise God. Now look at the verse. The verse says that therefore, or wherefore, King James, he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him. Hebrews 7 verse 25. Now you don't begin a sentence with therefore. Now whenever you read the Bible and you see therefore, or wherefore, ask yourself what is therefore. What is therefore? Because from verse 11, there is something, Paul, the writer of Hebrews, the apostle was talking about. So the writer of Hebrews was giving us something about Jesus' priesthood. Comparing his priesthood with the former regime, the Levitical regime. Then he says, therefore, he was concluding what he was talking about. Now he gave us reasons why he is able to save us to the uttermost. He gave us reasons from verse 11 to verse 24. He gave us reasons why Jesus is able to save us. heal us, deliver us, rescue us. Every way, from every angle, completely, entirely, continually to the end, he gave us reasons. How many of you want to know the reasons? Why he's able to do that? I want to talk about three of them. The first is this. Number one, because he lives forever as an unchanging priest. He lives forever as an unchanging priest. Number two, because he's the surety of a better covenant. And number three, because of the oath of his consecration. I'll explain them, the oath of his consecration. So now, our Lord High Priest, the reason why he's able to save us like that, or bless and heal us like that, is because, number one, he has an unchanging priesthood, therefore he lives forever. Now, he lives forever because he has an unchanging priesthood. Now, I want us to read from verse 23. Before we come to 24, before we come to 25. And there truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death. But this man, thank you Jesus, because he continued forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. What does it mean? Because he has an unchangeable priesthood, therefore he is able also to save us to the uttermost. What does that mean? In Israel, the High Priest was the most important person in Israel. The standing of the nation was wrapped up in the standing of the High Priest. Whatever happens to the High Priest, happens to Israel. The High Priest was a corporate man, a corporate entity. He was like a collective man. When he enters the Holies of Holies, he doesn't enter for his sake. He enters as a representative man. As a representative man. So, he is not there for his name's sake. He is there, whatever happens to him, happens to Israel. He is the federal head. For instance, whatever happened to Adam, happened to his race. When Adam sinned, we sinned. Your children who are yet to be born have already sinned. Do you understand? Because our federal head sinned. And what he did, is imputed to us. Now, the High Priest is like a federal head. He represents a federal system. And when he enters the Holies of Holies, on his chest are 12 precious stones representing the 12 tribes of Israel. Each stone had the name of a tribe, beginning from the eldest to the youngest. Praise God. So, there were stones on his hand. So, when he enters, God sees his hand. You know what God is saying? God doesn't see him as Aaron. What God sees is Israel. That is it. You see his chest, there are stones there. So, he is carrying Israel. So, he is a corporate man. A representative man. But listen. If your High Priest is good, that is your greatest blessing. The High Priest enters, the most important day in Israel was the Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Which happens once a year. And when he enters into the Holies of Holies, if he is accepted, if your High Priest is good, he is going to be accepted. As well as his offering. If he is accepted, all Israel is accepted. Now listen. If he is rejected, all Israel is rejected. You can even be good throughout the year. But if your High Priest is rejected, you are also rejected. Because your acceptance is in his acceptance. Who he is before God is who you are before God. So, that is why when the High Priest was entering, it was a serious moment. They are all around the tabernacle. And the Bible says that they afflict their souls. They are fasting. Praying that he will be accepted. Because who they are, how they are here is going to be dependent on the acceptance of the High Priest. So, if the High Priest enters, and he is accepted, it means that for the entire one year ahead of them, they will look forward to bumper harvest. They will look forward to deliverance from their enemies. They will look forward to family blessing. They will look forward to health and healing. They are going to lend and not borrow. Everything is going to be wonderful. They will have peace. They will have joy. They will have strength. They will be the head and not the tail. Why? Because their High Priest is accepted. Much more, that year they have had atonement by blood. Their sins are covered for the entire one year. So, they are happy. They are full of peace. And they are rejoicing. But all dependent on the acceptance of their High Priest. So, if your High Priest is good, your life is blessed. On the other hand, if your High Priest is bad, and he enters in, hmmm, mommy said that's some other. And it's true. If he is rejected, You are rejected What it means is that For the next one year Judgment is hanging on you Because your sins are open before God And the wages of sin is death So judgment comes upon the people Defeats in battle Their crops are not going to grow They are going to have pestilences Diseases, peace will be gone Trouble in family, health challenges Instead of lending, now they are going to borrow So if your high priest is rejected You yourself are rejected There is no mercy on you So everything depended On the high priest Hallelujah So when he is entering All their hearts Their hearts is beating Now how do you know he is alive inside Because of his garment There is a bell and pomegranate At the hem of his garment Are bells and pomegranate Bells So as he moves The bells come together And produce a sound So actually In the book of Exodus 28 Verse 35 The Bible says every high priest must produce a sound So when he is moving Your sound At the hem of his garment There is pomegranate and bell And they represent the fruit and the gift of the spirit So they all hit together And when he stands in the holiest of holies I am sure there is a bell There is mobility So as long as the people are hearing the sound They are happy They are happy Because there is a sound And his sound shall be heard When he goes in to the holy place But when there is no sound Hey It didn't go well It didn't go well Now let me show you the problem with Israel The problem with Israel is that You can have a good high priest today And a high priest will live All his life as a high priest Until death But when he dies His son must take over Because the high priesthood was by succession So after Aaron came Eliezer After Eliezer came Phinehas After Phinehas came Eli But you know Eli's children So it was by succession You can have a good high priest And for years Israel would be enjoying A good life But your high priest is growing He is growing Let's say that One week to the day of atonement he dies One week to the day of atonement he dies His son must take over Because that is the law His son must succeed him And we all know his son That this guy is not correct But his son must be the high priest So even before the day of atonement The people are crying They are crying And when he goes in He doesn't make it Therefore for the next one year Israel doesn't enjoy good life Israel doesn't enjoy good life There is difficulty The people are distressed Like the days of Saul Those who were distressed Those who were in debt Those who were discontented They had to leave the city To pursue David in the wilderness Because there was nothing in the city Because the act of crying was hidden somewhere in the forest I mean Things were It's amazing So Praise God So when your high priest dies He dies Let's hope that his son will also be a good person Let's even hope So there was no security in the high priest There was no assurance Because someone can be good for 10 years But how about 11th year? The guy is good But he may become bad And he goes in And we thought he was good Then he is rejected So Their breakthroughs Their blessings Their favor Could not last It could not continue to the end It was temporal It was transient It was short-lived Praise God So this was the disadvantage Of the former The priesthood of the former regime The Levitical economy The Levitical economy Until Jesus came Jesus rose up As a new high priest of the new order Now listen Jesus ascended and entered into the holies of holies He entered in We see that in Hebrews 9 verse 24 That Christ has not entered into the holy places made with hands Which are the figures of the true But into heaven itself Now to appear in the presence of God For us For us For us means on our behalf For us But Christ Being come as an high priest of good things to come By a greater and more perfect tabernacle Not made with hands That is to say Not of this building Neither by the blood of bulls and of goats But by his own blood He entered in once Into the holy place Having obtained Eternal redemption For us For if the blood of bulls and of goats And the ashes of an high fast Sprinkling the unclean Sanctified unto the purifying of his flesh How much more the blood of Christ Who through the eternal spirit Offered himself to the Lord Without spot unto God Perjured your conscience from dead works To serve the living God Hebrews 9 from verse 11 Jesus He entered into heaven The holy place But the question is this The question is this When a high priest goes The Bible says his sound must be heard Because without the sound We cannot tell whether when he went He was accepted or rejected Because how do we know Whether when he went He died Of course he cannot die But how do we know Have the assurance That when he went That our high priest Is alive The Bible says They had to produce their sound So when Jesus Entered into heaven He waited until a day The Bible says They were dwelling in Jerusalem Devout men From every nation Under heaven It was called the day of Pentecost When representatives From all countries Were in Jerusalem at that time And he waited for that special day Because proselytes And Jews would come And converted Gentiles Would come from all over the world And when they were all assembled together The Bible says And when the day of Pentecost Was fully come They were all at one accord In one place And suddenly There was a sound From heaven As of a rising mighty wind And filled the whole place When they were sitting Jesus gave his sound To the age He gave his sound To the nation He gave his sound To everyone That the Lord high priest entered And the sacrifices accepted He gave his sound As a high priest And I came to you To say Jesus is accepted The sacrifice is accepted Because he's accepted You are accepted To the praise Of the glory Of his grace Wherein He has made us accepted In the beloved Give him a shout of praise He gave his sound Jesus gave his sound It wasn't a simple sound The Greek actually says The rumbling of a tornado That precedes A storm It was like a tornado It came loud And everybody heard the sound It wasn't an ordinary sound The sound brought the gifts Of the spirit Because the fruits The pomegranate And the bells The fruits of the fruits And the gifts of the Holy Ghost The sound gave us The gifts of the Holy Ghost Because the fruit of redemption Is the Holy Ghost Given to us Hallelujah He gave us his sound Therefore There is good news for us There is good news for us Now in Hebrews 9 verse 12 The Bible says he obtained The word obtained is the word He rescores Now he rescores When it is anglicized It is the word Eureka You know Eureka moment Eureka moment Eureka moment is The word Eureka is when You know where it came from It came from Archimedes He was in a bathroom And he found the principle For purifying good And he found the principle For purifying good And history tells us That out of joy He ran naked outside Jumping I found it I found it He was so happy He forgot he was baffling That kind of joy Is what he rescores So it's the same word used for That's the word for Obtained in this verse When Jesus went and offered his blood Come and see joy in heaven He obtained eternal redemption And that word obtained Is the word for Eureka That describes untold joy Joy unspeakable and full of glory That's the word for Eureka There was such joy in heaven Because redemption had been obtained Hallelujah The problem for the ages Had been solved The redemption had been settled There was much joy in heaven And the sound came So the good news is that today Because our high priest You see our high priest It's not like an ordinary high priest Who can be good today And bad tomorrow That is why Hebrews 7.26 says that For such a high priest became us Who is holy Harmless Undefiled Separate from sinners Made higher than the heavens He is pure Pure than gold He will never change And because such a high priest Because he was accepted Today we are accepted You know what it means We can look forth into life The way Israel For the one year they rejoiced We can now rejoice Because we are entering our harvest Victory from our enemies We can have health We can have healing We can have peace We can have joy We can have all the good things of life Because that is what redemption gave us We can rejoice Rejoice and be happy and have our way in the Lord because he's accepted. it's accepted it's accepted Israel rejoiced when their high priest was accepted we are not rejoicing enough and the thing is that the high priest of Israel was accepted just for a year because in the next year there had to be a renewal but for our high priest the reason why you see their joy was just for one year because they didn't know what the next day would come so their joys and their breakthroughs and their happiness was short lived but our high priest because he doesn't have to come and die again and again for yearly subscription and yearly renewal of the sacrifice because he has done everything once and for all he is able to save you to the uttermost heal you to the uttermost preserve you to the uttermost provide for you to the uttermost preserve you to the uttermost entirely completely every way from every angle entirely completely continually to the end because it is not a temporary sacrifice continually to the end because he lives forever continually to the end you can have permanent healing permanent breakthrough you can look forward into life knowing that you are going to rejoice in life forever you can have peace forever you can have joy forever what Jesus did for us is eternal what he did for you is permanent your life can be sustained forever your peace can be forever your prosperity can be forever you can live in heaven forever because he is here also to save you heal you deliver you every way from every angle entirely completely continually to the end to the end your blessing will last forever your deliverance will last forever your healing will last forever your breakthrough will last forever it is going to be permanent it is going to be eternal it is not going to be short lived it is not going to be transient such a high priest such a high priest such a high priest such an high priest such an high priest oh my oh my oh my oh my what a joy what a joy what a joy and today how are we accepted and today how are we accepted the reason you are accepted because he is accepted if he was rejected then you are rejected but now he is accepted how long is he accepted is it for a year is it for a year not for a year he obtained eternal redemption he obtained eternal redemption the bible says in Ephesians 1 verse 6 the bible says in Ephesians 1 verse 6 of the glory of his grace wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved in the glory of his grace wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved now we are accepted in the beloved now we are accepted in the beloved we accept in fact we are acceptable as the beloved because as he is so are we in this world hey as he is so are we god is seeing you as his son because his acceptance is your acceptance he is our high priest he is now our new federal head our new federal head he made his acceptance as his son he made his acceptance as his son he made his acceptance as his son he made his acceptance He's able to heal me, preserve me, protect me, provide for me. Every way, from every angle, completely, entirely, continually, to the end. May you know joy forever. Peace forever. Hallelujah. Give him the praise. Please be seated. Hallelujah. Number two. Number two. Why is he able to save us to the uttermost? That comes to God by him. Number one is because he lives forever as an unchanging priest. But number two, because he is the surety of a better covenant or a better testament. Now, Hebrews 7 verse 22. He is the surety. He is the surety. By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. My. Listen, today we are under a better covenant. You know what it means? The Bible says we are under a better covenant established upon better promises. Better covenant, it means better promises. Better promises means better health. Better money. Better career. Better peace. Better joy. It means that when compared to the old covenant, our lives should be far better than the new. The folks of the old order. Far better than them. If they had healing, we should have better healing. If they had peace, we should have better peace. If they had joy, we should have better joy. If they had prosperity, we should have better prosperity. Whatever they had, better. If they succeeded in marriage, we should have better marriage. Because we are under a better covenant established upon better promises. We are in the better. Better promises. But the Bible says that he is the surety of a better covenant. And this is one of the greatest lessons. Ever think of. What does it mean to be the surety of a better covenant? The surety means he is a guarantee. You see, it's in verse 22. Now, I spoke of, we are speaking about verse 25. But there's a build up. He's telling us why he's able to save us to the uttermost. And one of the reasons is that he is the surety of a better testament. A surety is a guarantee. A guarantor. How many of you have taken loans from a bank before? Now, when you are taking a loan from a bank, you have to provide a guarantor. You don't just go. You have to fill some forms and there should be a guarantor when you are getting a loan from a bank. So that if you cannot pay the debt, they'll go after your guarantor. So your guarantor is the one who cosigns to the payment of a debt. So a guarantor or a surety is a bondman. A bondman. We see that in the days of Joseph. In the days of, I mean, when Joseph was in Egypt. When he wanted to take Benjamin. Judah said, I'll be a surety for him. Let him go free and I'll be arrested for his sake. So a surety is someone, like a guarantor. It's a guarantor. You cannot pay that debt. You went for the loan. When you cannot pay, they don't come after you. They go after your guarantor. That is why, as students, when people are looking for state loans, it is difficult to get a guarantor. Because you are supposed to work and pay, but after school, people travel abroad. And they don't work. And the bank will go, the state will go after their guarantor. So it was difficult to get one in those days. I don't know now. In school. So if you cannot pay a loan, your guarantor has cosigned. He has signed. He's the one they go for. Jesus, he is a guarantor of a better testament. Do you know what it means? To be a guarantor means you are saying that I'm liable and responsible for his failures and for what he cannot do. I cosign that what he cannot do, I'm the one going to pay. I'm the one going to pay. I'll be liable and responsible for his failures. Jesus is the guarantor of a better testament. You know what? Your failures, your shortcomings, your weakness, put you hard to pay. You, we are so rich, wretched that we couldn't pay. But we can't even pay. We can't even pay for our failures. We can't even pay for our shortcomings and our sins and mistakes. So you know what God did? God gave us a guarantor of the new covenant. So that heaven acknowledges that he is the one who has cosigned. That what we cannot pay, he is the one who is liable and responsible. The one God is holding him responsible to pay what we could not pay. And that's what the blood of Jesus did for us. That's amazing. He's a surety. He's a guarantor. You know why he said that? Why is he able to save? Because there are some people who go like, I don't think God will heal me. Because of something I did 26 years ago. Because of something I did 26 years ago, I don't think God can heal me. So they are still guilty and holding on to that guilt. some will say oh i don't think i deserve distance because of something i did nine years ago yeah something i did nine years ago so i don't think i i deserve distance now you cannot pay nine years ago you are still holding on the guilt and the condemnation you cannot pay but the good news i came to bring a good news from a far country that in this covenant we have a surety we have a guarantor what you cannot pay he is the one who co-signed to pay for you what you cannot pay so he is the one god will hold responsible because he actually has his blood there in heaven as a proof to pay for what you cannot pay therefore when he's saying he's able to save you completely entirely that means it goes beyond what you've done in the past don't think you are hopeless and as a matter of fact your life has ended because of the thing i did in the past power i don't think god will have mercy on me because of this thing or that thing or that thing i don't think god you will have mercy the goodness is that you have a guarantor and he is the one who is able to save him everywhere from every angle entirely completely without reservation so regardless what you have done listen you have a guarantor that is the hope we have as an anchor of the soul and it's both sure and steadfast and not enter it into that which is within the veil whether our forerunner is for us entered even jesus made a high priest forever after the order of melchizedek our high priest in heaven see he's intervening for you interceding for you he's saying father father my blood answered for him my blood paid for him my blood paid for her hallelujah he's made the guarantor this is too good to be true and and the word made is in the perfect indicative active tense which means forever forever an action in the past with permanent results in the future so jesus in heaven as our advocate it's also our guarantor and when jesus came sometimes he will heal the whole multitude and everyone was healed look at those who were healed do you think that everyone was living right there were some who had insulted their wives i'm telling you there were some who had broken the sabbath but he healed all of them because not long from that time he was going to pay for all of them on the cross either pre-paid or post-paid everything was answered on the cross those who came before the cross he paid for them in the past and those who came after he paid for them in the future because the cross is timeless the timelessness of the cross praise god you see our greatest disadvantage is our conscience our conscience is our conscience is our conscience our conscience do you know that now in the book of hebrews the word perfect you see the word perfection or perfect mentioned so many times in the book of hebrews but the word perfect in hebrews the book of hebrews it's not about moral perfection it's about perfection regarding a conscience conscience hebrews chapter 10 hebrews chapter 10 quickly before i end hebrews 10 can we read from can we read from net version verse 2 , let's start from verse 1 do you have the nlt okay it says the old system under the law of moses only was a shadow a dim preview of the good things to come not the good things themselves the sacrifices under that that system were repeated again and again year after year but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship the next verse for if they could have provided perfect cleansing the sacrifices would have stopped for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared have you seen it for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared let me give an example can i get to people here and a third person okay assuming that um you are owing this man one million ghana cities you stand here you are owing this man okay you come here you are owing this one one million ghana city you are owing him Okay. The guy has chased you out. You are always running away. Assuming you see him coming from a distance but he has not seen you, what will you do? You will hide. Why will you hide? Because there is death on your conscience. You see why mankind is always running away from God? Because there is death on our conscience. Hey, we have done something wrong. God has something against us. There is always death on our conscience. Why man is running away from God? Because there is death on his conscience. Okay. So whenever you see him, you are going to hide. Do you know why nations don't like to hear about God? Why so many atheism? Because the Bible says they do not like to retain God in their knowledge. Because to bring God in your knowledge is to awaken the consciousness of guilt because you know you are owing. That is supposed to bring you to Christ but they don't want to do that. Hallelujah. So, when you see him you run away because there is death on his conscience. But you have a friend who is well dusted. And he heard of your predicament. So, he heard you are owing him one million ganasidis. So you came to sort out. But actually you even paid him two million ganasidis. So just give him. You paid. So, this man is so happy because out of your debt he is even rich. And he is looking for you. To hug you and to thank you. But you do not have the knowledge that there has been payment. So, anytime you see him what will happen? Run away. Because you still don't know that there has been payment. So you keep running away. Meanwhile, this man is so happy because he is dusted. Because this man paid double. For your information, when Jesus died, comfort ye, comfort ye my people. Speak ye, comfortably unto Jerusalem, and cry unto her that her warfare is accomplished. That she has received of the Lord's hand double payment for her sins. I'm telling you that whatever we owed God, Jesus paid double. Double. Psalm 40, as I thought, is messianic, telling us Jesus paid double for whatever we owed God. God has been settled and God is satisfied. He saw the travail of his soul and he was satisfied. But you, you are still running away. Because the good news has not been told you. We need someone to tell you that. Listen, why are you worrying yourself? Do you know it has been paid? Once you know it has been paid, I'm telling you that you will embrace your creditor. If you hear how much it has been paid, when you see him, you will run to him. You will now become friends. You understand? If we know what Jesus did, we will run to God and there will be perfect reconciliation. But it depends on how the information is given to you. If you earn one million, but if the person tells you that, oh, I hear someone paid for you, but I'm sure the person paid a hundred thousand. So your joy is incomplete. So you don't know whether you should still meet him or not. So he told you that he paid some, but the rest you have to pay as you go. So I'm telling you that. Jesus, the value of the sacrifice was greater than all our sins because of the one who was involved in the sacrifice. Listen, during the days of Elijah and the prophets of Baal, when he raised the sacrifice, the fire didn't consume the stones and the wood because the judgment was greater than the sacrifice. The sins of the people were too much. So the judgment came, it didn't only consume the sacrificial animal, it consumed the wood and everything. Because the judgment was greater than the sacrifice. But on the cross, the sacrifice was greater than the judgment. Because of the value of the one who was involved, it was he himself, Jesus. Think of the one who paid for us and don't despise the payment. This is Jesus we are talking about. Do you know his exceeding value and his surpassing preciousness? You will worship him for what he has done. You will worship him for what he has done for us. Hallelujah. Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. All right. Quickly, let me quickly end it. The same verse, the same verse. King James Version, the same verse. For the worshippers once perched, Hebrews 10, verse 2. King James, please. For the worshippers once perched should have had no more conscience of sins. Hallelujah. The word once is a Greek word, hapax. Hapax. Hapax in Greek is a carnal number. It means to make one payment conclusively in one. How many of you have DSTD in your homes? If you have DSTD, you have to do monthly subscription. Do you know that? Let's say you started 2nd April. 2nd March, you have to, renew your payment. If you don't do that, your television wouldn't come because you are owing. Yeah. So, it used to happen to me a lot. Once one day, one guy told me that, why don't you pay for the whole year? So, I paid for the whole year. And I don't have to think of monthly subscription. The Old Testament was yearly subscription. So, the high priest has to go in every year. Every year, yearly subscription. But Jesus paid, once. Escort Hapax. Conclusively and selectively in one payment. He paid once and for all. That's what Jesus did. Hallelujah. You have to love Jesus. You have to love him. And lastly, my last point. Because of the oath of God's consecration. The oath of his consecration. The Lord has sworn and will not repent. Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. You know, with all those priests in the Old Testament, it was by succession. If you die, your son takes over. But Jesus' priesthood wasn't by succession. It was by God's oath. So, God had to swear. Swear to who? To Jesus. Swear that you are forever a priest. He swore by himself. Declaring Jesus that his priesthood will not change. Here, men swear by the greater. And an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. But God cannot swear by anything greater. So, God has to swear by himself. People swear by the moon and by the stars. But God says, if this thing I'm saying, I change my mind, I will stop being God. So, God had to swear that Jesus, you are a priest forever. And that is for our security and our assurance. And that verse is one of the verses that is regularly repeated, regularly quoted in the New Testament. It was in Psalm 110, but it is quoted a lot of times in the New Testament to assure us that Jesus' priesthood is by God's oath. He will never change. If he will never change, it means we are accepted. Look at the Old Testament. Too many changes, but if Jesus' priesthood will never change, it means continual blessings. He saves us to the uttermost. Continually, completely, entirely to the end. What a blessing we have. What an assurance we have. The sickness that has lingered for long, there is hope for that sickness. Because he is able to deliver. He doesn't change. Hallelujah. And let me give you my last verse to show you the benefit of Jesus being a priest by the oath. I will take it from Exodus. Now, let's read Exodus chapter 28. Let's start from verse 36. I want to show you something Jesus is doing and that will help your faith. Hallelujah. And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold and engrave it like the gravings of a signet. Holiness unto the Lord. The next verse. And thou shalt put it on a blue lace that it may be may be upon the mitre. Upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be. The next verse. And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead. Now, can you give me a picture of what should be on Aaron's forehead? Now, listen to me carefully. There is something that must be on Aaron's forehead. The Bible speaks of holy crown. Just there. The holy crown. That is it. Holiness to the Lord. This is what the Bible is describing. So this should be on Aaron's head every time. The Bible says always you know what it means. It's symbolic that Aaron's thoughts are always holy. That's why this thing covers his thoughts. It symbolizes that his thoughts are holy. That's amazing. And what covers this thing should go around. It's on a lace of blue. So it is good because it's a symbol that Aaron's thoughts is a symbol of purity. Aaron's thoughts are pure. Blue is a symbol of heaven. It's a heavenly color. His thoughts are not just pure but they are heavenly. Symbol of Aaron's thoughts. But this is pointing to Jesus. Jesus doesn't have to wear this. Because Jesus automatically He himself His thoughts are pure. His thoughts are heavenly. But Aaron had to wear this every day. Always. For what reason? Let's go back to our verse. Exodus 28. Alright. It shall be upon Aaron's forehead that he may bear the iniquity of the holy things. Have you heard that before? The holy things can have iniquity. That he may bear the iniquity of the holy things. What the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts. And it shall always be it shall always be upon his forehead that they may be accepted before the Lord. Not that he may be accepted that they may be accepted. Aaron is supposed to bear the iniquity of the holy things. So we are talking about what is holy can have iniquity. What's he talking about? What are the holy things? The Bible says they are holy gifts. The iniquity of the holy things. Now whenever I read the Bible and I read this it excites me. What are they? He's talking about your worship. Your prayer. Your giving. For instance we are here worshipping. You are worshipping. Then you open your eyes and you saw the time. Then you remember that there is this banquet like here joint. That closes at nine. The guy is laying the worship. And it's getting to nine. So as you are worshipping your hands are lifted. But your thought is at the banquet joint. Banquet like a joint. Meanwhile you are before the holy king. It is called the iniquity of the holy things. We are worshipping and the choir leader is here. And you open your eyes and you saw the shoe of the choir leader. Meanwhile you are worshipping. This shoe is like what I saw yesterday. I saw in boutique last week. Then you close your eyes. Then you start thinking my mind is not even enough. I thought of purchasing that. So your thought meanwhile you are before the holy king. Worshipping. Or you are worshipping and you open your eyes and you said ah this is the choir one day the way she is nice. I need to propose to this sister. Then you just open your eyes a little and you close your eyes. Everyone thinks you have entered into the Shekinah glory. But this is what your thought is. So these are your holy gifts to God. But there is the iniquity of the holy things. What happens when you are facing these things? Because it happens to us. What happens? The Bible says that Aaron as long as the holy crown is on his head it should always be on his head that the people may be accepted. That their worship may be accepted. That their holy gift may be accepted. So what happens is that God is not looking at those thoughts. He is looking at the thoughts of their high priests to qualify them. As long as a high priest has holiness in his thinking his holiness is imputed onto them and they are accepted not by their thoughts and their thinking but by the holy crown holiness onto the Lord upon the head of their high priest. And I came to say that today our heavenly high priest his thoughts are holy his thoughts are pure his thoughts are heavenly and he is bearing as a high priest the iniquity of the holy things so as you are worshipping as you are praying all those thoughts move through your head don't get distracted don't get disappointed don't get condemned and guilty understand that your high priest his thoughts are holy and the father is looking at his thoughts and you are accepted our acceptance is in the thoughts of our high priest hallelujah Glory to God. glory to God what a blessed high priest so listen if all the thoughts of Jolof rise just ignore and continue worshiping the father knowing that you have a high priest and because of him you are accepted because God is looking at his holy thoughts to accept you and how long is this priest by God's oath he is forever so forever we are accepted and forever your worship is accepted hallelujah give him the praise and give him the worship thank you Jesus thank you Jesus he is able to save you he is able to heal you to preserve you to protect you to deliver you every way from every angle completely entirely continually to the end you
