Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show.
My name is Danny Heifetz and I'm joined by Danny, Kelly and Craig Kowalbeck.
And we're going over all the games for week six of the NFL.
NFL season, starting with a bunch of quarterback questions.
Like, I feel like Lamar might be back.
Caleb Williams and Michael Penix might be playing, might not.
But I want to start with the Panthers are at the Philadelphia Eagles.
And it turns out that Jalen Hurts is not going to play in the game this week
because he has a superficial blood clot in his calf.
Right.
Which we all know what that means.
Right, Craig?
Superficial, yes.
I texted a really lame joke to the group chat and I said,
you could say it.
It's very vain-y, V-A-I-N-Y, superficial, vain-y, D-K.
You get it.
I don't know what that means.
He also had it last week when they played in London.
But then they said he was fine.
He wasn't on the injury report and it wasn't reported.
He had a calf injury because he got cleated the week before that.
But then he plays in the game with the blood clot.
Everything's fine.
And they check him again this week.
Blood clot has moved a little bit.
So they shut him down and now we don't know how long he's going to be out.
So we're doing a stat per game.
Can I give you a definition instead of a stat?
Yes.
So my definition, I went to, you know,
why call a doctor when you could just go to WebMD?
That's what I say.
It's just as good.
Healthcare is expensive.
Just Google your symptoms.
It's fine.
So WebMD told me that this is a blood clot.
It's called thrombophlebitis.
That's what they called me in high school.
Big thrombo phleb?
That was almost as good as Craig's vain-y.
Big throm.
Thrombo.
Phlebitis.
So it's a blood clot in the vein just below the surface of your skin.
So the superficial just means it ain't deep that, that it's literally superficial and it doesn't usually get to your lungs, but superficial thrombo phlebitis can be painful and you may need treatment.
However, if it's superficial migratory thrombophlebitis, totally, that is a type of recurring clot that moves around among veins close to the surface of your skin that could affect your arms, legs, or trunk.
And I thought it was really funny that they wrote trunk.
We don't want it affecting the trunk.
I think the bottom line is this is kind of scary.
I think it sounds sort of benign, but it's definitely a scary thing.
Like if, if a, uh, if a blood clot moves around your body, there's a chance it could block something, which is obviously very bad.
So we don't want that.
So I think it makes sense that he's missing these games.
Now, to me, the question is how many games will he miss?
Is this just a one week thing or is this a, is he going to be out for a month?
I think it's probably a case to case basis.
And who knows really?
Football and blood thinners don't go together very well, as you can imagine.
Um,
from, you know, the potential for just massive internal bleeding.
So it is something they take seriously.
Some guys have had stuff that I,
Alaric Jackson for the ramp who just got suspended for punching Bradley Chubb of the face has had, uh, like blood clot stuff.
I think Christian Barmore.
So we don't know.
I'm not a doctor.
I don't know.
Taylor Moten, the opposing tackle on the Panthers had, he missed a big chunk of the season because of blood clot issues.
So maybe he takes blood thinners for a week and it's fine.
I, I, I obviously don't know what's going to happen, but I do think it's, it's interesting.
I mean, last week, the Eagles Jaguars game was in London.
Jason Kelsey was the,
the announcer and Jason Kelsey during the game is talking about how he basically says at,
during the game that they're not,
the Eagles are not running the tush push because Jalen Hurts has this calf issue.
And that given the state of the Eagles offense,
Jason Kelsey is like,
they should run the tush push without Jalen Hurts.
He was like,
losing this play has changed the offense and they should just put someone else out there.
Get Goddard in there or something.
Yeah.
Now you've lost your quarterback in your center.
That right.
Cam Juergen's gone.
Well,
just hearing Jason Kelsey.
Are there,
is there anyone in the world that knows,
more about this play than Jason Kelsey?
Like even Jeff Stoutland helped them create it.
I'm like,
Jason Kelsey is the one running it the whole time.
I'm like,
Jason Kelsey saying they should run it without Jalen Hurts was kind of fascinating to me.
So that was one of my first things here.
Obviously Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee is going to come in.
He had one great week 18 versus the Giants,
one bad week 18 versus Washington.
You know,
I don't know if he's actually good or the Eagles wanted to pump up his trade value,
but it would be kind of pretty ironic if Tanner McKee comes in this week.
And so the Eagles start doing the tush push again.
Tanner McKee seems,
like the worst option for the tush push that you could imagine.
It's just this tall,
lanky guy.
I could just like,
just like push him over.
You know,
they need squat 600 pounds like Jalen Hurts.
I don't know.
Just seems someone's going to have to do it.
And I don't know who it's going to be because no one's playing for the Eagles.
Saquon didn't practice Thursday.
Devante Smith didn't practice Thursday.
Jalen Hurts is out.
Yeah.
They're running backs is going to be just Damian Pierce because Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are out.
This is just the practice.
At some point,
the practice squad is just becoming,
their team.
Yeah.
I,
you know,
it's really wild how many players are missing time.
I mean,
just seeing the spread of the Eagles are at home and they are three and a half point underdogs to the Panthers.
And it's weird to look at.
Yeah.
Part of me wonders if the Eagles actually are good bet this week.
I don't think I want to bet on Tanner McKee or all these backup linemen,
but I do look at the other side of the ball and I almost think it's deceptive because the Panthers have been flying high and the Eagles defense has not been as exciting as you think.
But I feel like Bryce Young has actually been really good against pressure this year from the edge.
You know,
no quarterbacks are good against pressure right up the middle,
but I think shorter quarterbacks are worse.
And I'm like,
Jalen Carter looked unblocked versus Jacksonville last week.
And you have,
ironically,
basically Bryce Young's already played these guys because the third of the Eagles defense is Georgia.
And Bryce Young had the SEC championship national championship against Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis and Keely Ringo and all these guys.
But I,
I don't know.
Part of me is like the Panthers offensive lines.
Like,
you know,
Damian Lewis has banged up.
He's a guard and like the center for Carolina is not that great.
And so part of me wonders if the,
if the Eagles are actually going to pull out this game without Jalen hurts solely because the defense might play better than you think.
But I,
I'm curious to see if Tanner McKee can do a game manager impression.
I don't know.
It's like,
how well does he need to play for people to be like,
Oh,
it looked different.
It looked cool.
I,
I don't know what to make of this game either.
I have,
it's,
it's an interesting zag idea in terms of like betting on the Eagles in this one,
because I considered it.
Yeah.
I don't want to,
but it's three and a half is a lot.
And if you think this game could be a slog and the Eagles defense could just kind of,
muck this up enough where no one is scoring.
And this is like a 13 to 10,
16 to 13 game.
I could,
I could get behind it,
but the Eagles offensive roster right now is the worst in the NFL.
I will say I,
Willie Lampkin.
So I've learned more about him because I was just fascinated.
The five 11,
197 pound guard.
I didn't realize 297.
So basically he was actually kind of an elite offensive lineman in college football.
He was at UNC.
He was kind of elite.
He just,
he is the first offensive lineman under five 11,
I think to play in the NFL.
In 35 years.
Yeah.
I thought I did.
Okay.
Considering that he doesn't look small,
which is the real point.
I kind of,
even though it's a fucking Eagle,
I'm kind of rooting for him.
Yeah.
But otherwise,
I don't know.
This is a weird game.
I mean,
look,
Tanner McKee,
honestly,
he probably sucks.
It would be good for content and podcasts.
If Tanner McKee came in and played great and threw over the middle of the field
and everywhere hurts,
can't play and did the tush push.
But realistically,
he's probably going to suck.
And then Jalen hurts.
I'll come back in a couple of weeks,
but I don't know.
I think that's the most,
the most likely scenario.
I agree.
Okay.
And I wouldn't play anyone in fantasy.
That's right.
I mean,
unless Devante Smith or Saquon comes back,
but otherwise the Eagles,
this is a stay away.
Oh,
on the other side of the ball,
real quick.
Coker is coming back to Coke.
It's going to be ecstatic.
Full practice all week.
That's exciting.
So Coker,
Ted McMillan,
obviously Chuba Hubbard.
You're going to start all those guys.
Or I guess my question is,
are you starting Coker?
Oh,
I am in the ringer league.
Absolutely.
Definitely.
The next one here is the Ravens are at the Cleveland Browns.
Yeah.
My one stat for this game.
This is from Keegan Abdu at next gen stats.
Denzel Boston is the first rookie to have 15 plus catches and average 20 plus
yards per catch through his first five weeks since Randy Moss.
And like,
I feel like we haven't talked about Denzel Boston enough,
just how good he's been.
He is first in receiving yards among rookies,
first in receiving touchdowns,
first and first downs.
He's on pace for 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns.
And this is on a Browns team that is averaging 179 passing yards a game and
has already been in like three of the grossest weather games of the year
already.
Um,
he's only for some reason,
Denzel Boston is only second in odds to win rookie offensive rookie of the
year behind Jeremiah love.
I definitely bear minds on Boston.
Oh yeah.
Um,
yeah,
I don't know.
He's a 21 best wide highest scoring wide receiver in fantasy.
Um,
so far this year and they're going up against Baltimore.
Who's given up a hundred yards to a wide receiver in three straight games.
Um,
I just want to talk about Boston.
This is a guy like this show specifically liked a lot coming out.
of college and I think we had him
kind of higher rank there was like a kind of a group of five guys that um were kind of in the
top five but i feel like we like boston a little bit more and i think concepcion is good too and
the browns have a lot of good young players i think quinch on judkins who might not play this
week dylan samson might come back this week i think he's like a solid number two back yeah you
obviously have fanon boston's been awesome yeah when we when so boston we always we thought he
was first round caliber receiver i think he was right there in the group in the maybe in the 20s
or something like that was where we thought he might go and then he fell to the second round
and he went to the browns who had already drafted casey concepcion i remember on draft night just
being devastated because i'm like damn it now he's kind of buried on this team and he's going
to be like the number three number four option early in his career we might we might not see
his potential until year four year three that was kind of my first impression and it's so cool to
see him come in immediately displaced jerry judy immediately displaced uh tillman who is now not
even on the browns and basically is their
number one receiver from day one i think casey concepcion is still a really good player but
he's just a different style of player the way that they're utilizing him is totally different
uh boston is basically big bodied go down the field win at the catch point went on slants went
on in breakers um and he's just been awesome and he catches everything so i don't know i'm just
super excited and if they get a real quarterback i mean not that um deshaun watson's been better
than expected but he's not been necessarily good craig as you laid out it's not like he's been
better than being the worst quarterback in right um
yeah that's justin herbert right only statistically anyways it's great to see boston
thriving he's he's been awesome yeah i should also say that concepcion was concussed last week so we
don't even know if he's gonna play he's probably gonna miss this game on the other side of the
ball it's also interesting i mean this is todd munkin versus the ravens lamar we don't know i
kind of think lamar is gonna play and he's just not practicing to just save his ankle but he he
didn't we're recording on thursday he did not it doesn't look like he practiced today but i think
he's if i did that i bet he plays although i think they could probably be cleveland's
with tyler huntley um so we don't exactly know just yet yeah i don't know it's weird to think
that if the ravens i mean you could be like oh we'll beat the i mean tyler huntley played well
enough that i think it takes pressure off lamar to come back which is a real thing it's weird to
think that if the browns win this game i believe they'd be in first place in the in the division
yeah which is pretty remarkable to think about they would have beaten the ravens and steelers
to start the season yep which is kind of crazy yeah uh so i don't know i mean tyler huntley was
i i'm not sure if lamar's a solid backup he's like one of the better backups in the league i
don't know why it's weird to me that he's younger than lamar spiritually he seems like 33 years old
it's just weird he's been around for a while also i just love that everyone calls him snoop
yeah it's a great nickname especially in baltimore the yeah so that's a wire reference but uh i was
gonna ask but yeah i was like kind of like but i wanted i didn't want to seem stupid so i just
kind of went along with it i did the same thing it's a character it's a hitman in the wires they
the actual actor got work release from prison to then act in the show so it's not like snoopy
from charlie brown was from baltimore super my brain was like is snoop i thought snoop dog was
from la yeah you know what other people were probably wondering too sure all right next game
bears are at the falcons so similar quarterback questions here this could be caleb williams or
michael pennix jr or case keenum versus tua nah caleb's playing i think they're both playing i
think it's caleb versus pennix so caleb's come back from hamstring i think i don't know i don't
i think last week caleb probably could have played but they wanted maybe 100 and pennix has
the rib injury which he said he could have got out if the overtime if the falcons got the ball
first in overtime but then he got cold so then he couldn't which probably makes sense but sounded
confusing kind of lame no well it was 15 minutes later so i was cold then i'm like what this is
football what are you talking about like you could have played at the beginning of the quarter but
not at the end i think the pain just sets it i guess but it's like man
it's just it's like an anthony richardson just keep that to yourself exactly like just say you
couldn't play yeah yeah just you should have lied my one stat for falcons bears is if you look at
explosive pass rate which is just what percentage of pass plays get 20 or more yards michael pennix
jr ranks first slinging it he's ripping passes he's not he's not ripping it it's like he's
shoving it he's pushing it i don't know it's not a rip as his swing motion it's slow it's
but it's like what he did it's like what i imagined him doing when he was on washington
where it was just like downfield shots to roman dunes
into jalen polk and those guys yeah mcmillan like what like well-placed sideline deep balls
or seam passes to kyle pitts like he has that down and and other parts of his game are limited
but like when it comes to if he has a clean pocket and he needs to go downfield he's good
his style of play is so fun to watch it is literally just i don't know it's what you
want a quarterback to be doing it just fucking throw to that guy it's great one thing i'm
wondering about this game is like obviously i was a huge proponent and a huge advocate for
that was kind of like my whole personality in august luther burton i would say has obviously
been disappointing he hasn't been like an outright sit like he's getting you like eight ten points a
game whatever but he was worse with caleb than he was with the backups and so i and really everybody
on the chicago offense was like not good that weird game they scored 59 points like none of
the receivers or tight ends did well it was basically all running backs and khalif fucking
raymond and so i am very curious to see luther burton and you could add in loveland and roma
dunes as well like
i don't know it's probably going to take one or two more games and if it's not happening i think
it's not gonna happen right i'm so glad you said that can i read you an email sure this is from
max with two x's oh double x max crosby breakfast was a vanilla chobani yogurt and a white monster
that's heinous
that's that's if you monster
that's like name that's what you have i've actually quite literally never had a monster it's
is it basically just like a rebel i think it's yeah but but it's but it's way bigger and it's
fucking badass there's a claw mark on it all right serious question do you think he would drink
morning if his if his name had one x no absolutely not like his life is different now because he has
two x's right yeah extreme yeah uh i'm serious about that anyway so max with two x's max crosby
writes
every episode i feel like ben johnson gets praised by this podcast and he should he's getting he's
doing great as the real life nfl coach of the bears okay great but wise can we stop talking
about how great the bears are and look behind the curtain of their offense because other than
we don't talk about how great the bears are from a fantasy perspective well not anymore
we haven't lately
other than deandre's
yeah other than deandre's
swift and khalif raymond who has performed on the bears burden loveland roma dunze all sucked
with caleb williams they've been terrible is ben johnson not doing the exact same thing that sean
peyton does the ball does not go to the best players it goes to the players that will make
the other khalif raymond is for letting them score khalif raymond is lil jordan humphrey
and you know and you want max's next sentences luther burden is jaylen waddle
um fast elusive and when he's in the game he's in the game he's in the game he's in the game
and he gets the ball it is so fun to watch but are they not just both a receiver that needs a
miracle just to get a catch isn't ben ben johnson is considered like in the coaching tree of sean
peyton's isn't he sort of uh he's an influence anyway i'm not sure if he's necessarily in the
sean peyton tree well he's been influenced by him obviously for one big reason this is a great
comp that ben johnson is just sean peyton with better pr but i i don't know i don't know i don't
just young sean peyton great cuts the broncos traded a first round pick for jaylen waddle and
now don't use him well they use the top 10 pick on freaking our dudes and he's like their fourth
best receiver uh ben johnson didn't do that true um but yeah look i uh hand up you know what i mean
hand up mark jackson uh this is a great call i'm willing to hold out hope because jaylen waddle's
been murdering us for like three straight seasons and luther burden has had like three bad games
but yeah look it's on my radar it's on my radar oh no this would be so devastating if it was true
if it just carried on forever the other track record is that if you go ben johnson in detroit
used all his best players all the time i'm on around saint brown and yeah and laporta and
james and williams are all productive so dare i say that's why it's interesting to me
because i think you may dare to say that well no i'm just saying like certain players like
demand to be a part of the game and they're not going to be a part of the game and they're not
going to be a part of the game and they're not going to be a part of the game and they're not
the ball or demand stats like like uh jeff olbrich the defensive coordinator for the falcons was just
talking about how they asked him why are you getting past pressure with no stars and he was
like it's because they have no stars like it like you know when brandon staley not that he's a great
example wanted joey bosa to drop into coverage joey bosa's like fuck that i get sacks like try
telling your star pass rusher they don't get to get a sack on the play and like you have to be a
decoy for someone else like and offense is like that all the time i'm on ross saint brown's like
making fun of jared golf on his podcast and you you see jared golf
forcing touchdowns to a monra like they monra is not getting a touchdown you're saying because
the talent is so undeniable you have to throw it to these players but perhaps on chicago the talent
is not undeniable and so you can kind of spread the ball around more because there's no there's
no a monra that you need to feed yeah that also i don't know if they're demanding the football
it's a personality demanding it i think dan campbell's like you have to get james williams
the football you know it did work i think ben johnson scored like 30 points a game for four
years so it yeah it worked
Yeah, all I'm saying is. you know what i would luther bird and his waddle caught my eye that's all it's interesting no i
don't like it i know what you're doing and i don't like it the next game here is the jets are at the
new england patriots which somehow some way if the jets win this game the jets will be ahead of
the patriots whoa is that right why why the jets are two and three and the patriots are three and
they'll have the tiebreaker yeah why would the jets have the tiebreaker because they just beat
the patriots they would beat the patriots oh shit that's crazy although the path maybe you
could argue the patriots and jets would both be i don't know if transitive property uh but yes
here's my stat by the way the pats are favored by seven and a half here's my one stat over the
last two weeks drake mazen first in everything um basically basically every important efficiency
and volume stat uh for quarterbacks drake mazen first he's first in touchdown passes
total touchdowns
adjusted yards per attempt pass rating epa for drop back he's second in success rate um i just
wanted to basically highlight the turnaround for drake may has been borderline miraculous i don't
i've i can't remember seeing somebody look so broken and then like one week later he's oh actually
i'm fine it's i'm good i'm back it's almost as though a guy who last year albeit against an easy
schedule looked like one of the best five quarterbacks in the league for 17 games
almost one of the best five quarterbacks in the league for 17 games and he's second in success
in the league for 17 games and he's second in success in the league for 17 games and he's second in success
twice in a row is not great for your psyche.
Maybe he hurt his shoulder in the playoffs and then
they started the season at Seattle against
Pittsburgh and Jacksonville and his confidence was
a little in the gutter
and he was a little out of
it, but he's actually still good in the entire
last year was not the fluke
that and also
it's one of those
it almost is so obvious. It doesn't get discussed
enough. Drake is 24 and lost the Super Bowl
right and I don't care and he was
23 when he lost the Super Bowl. I don't give a fuck what you think
like that sticks with you and it is
a skill to move past things. You know, it makes
it harder to get past it
playing the Seahawks in week one
like it. There's no
oh on to having a disaster
Seattle. Yeah, having a disastrous
end of I think it's fucked up to have to do the
Super Bowl again. It's fucked up.
Yeah. No, I actually think there's a mental thing
like you there is no you have to
onto the next week like these guys seasons
the weeks are so regimented the game ends
and part of what helps you move on is you
got to get ready for the next game. He had seven months
to just he had to play the same fucking team
and then he was worse. And so
yeah, I think I think the shoulder might have been worse than we thought
but I think the mental aspect of your 24
years old and you had eight months to marinate in
you know, your your dream
was, you know, you fucked it up.
I just love that. He had three bad games
and everyone was like all of last
year was a fluke instead
of the other way around where it's like all of last year
he was good. So maybe the three bad games are
the fluke. Well, he was bad. I think well, who
is the one that was comparing him to Carson Wentz?
Yeah, I was gonna say you're
the person who was on this first.
First of all, it was
intrusive thought. How fucking dare you?
What is the point of that category?
If not to have freedom and lack
of consequence, that is a mini take purge every
Sunday night and I won't be held accountable for it.
You respect the category.
You respect the intrusive thought. That is the whole fucking
point of the intrusive thought is that I can say what I'm
feeling even if it's not true.
Fair. Fair.
It was true. But I started thinking about it, Craig.
Of course. I think Mike
Vrabel actually nailed it and I thought the golf
analogy was perfect, which Mike Vrabel,
said when you're, and it's true, when you're playing
golf, sometimes you're so nervous
and you want to hit a golf shot that you squeeze the club so hard
and there's a point where if you're squeezing the club really hard,
you cannot hit a golf shot properly. You cannot
hit a golf ball straight if you're squeezing it too hard
and Vrabel's like, we are trying to choke
and squeeze the life out of every play
and we need to not do that. And that is what was happening
is Drake Mavis, it's the, forgetting
Sarah Marshall. Do more. Do less.
Now you're not doing anything. He was thinking.
He's like, oh, I gotta do something. It's like, just do your
job. Just do what you're supposed to do in a play. Throw the ball
away and it's, and that was what's happening.
It's like, you're throwing interceptions at the
third and goal. I'm like, just throw it away and no one's
open. It's just, he, and he just stopped.
There's still plays here and there.
Like, you know, even the Bills game
which, you know, they won, like, did fumble
twice. He did botch two snaps
inside the five yard line. So it's
like sometimes the wins, it's not as good as you think. Sometimes
the losses, it's not as bad as you think.
But he was having mental
brain farts, but he actually got over it really quickly
which is, which is the skill
when you're a professional athlete. Yeah.
Also, we should say,
A.J. Brown now
has practiced on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yeah.
It's tricky because they play this game.
This is a game they can win probably without him.
And then they have another game Thursday.
You can make the case they should just sit him
for the next seven
days and then get him, you know, basically
two weeks extra of rest.
But, I don't know.
He's practicing a lot. The
Patriots are really going for it
in terms of all their injured players. Travion Henderson is
practicing? Travion Henderson, who we thought was going to
miss like a month, he's practicing
in a limited fashion. Will Campbell, who, again,
I thought he had a high ankle sprain. Yeah.
Remember, he's a good healer. That means nothing now.
He's regarded, according to Adam Schefter,
he's regarded as a fast healer or
a good healer. Get the fuck out.
That's not how it fucking works. I read he had a
mild high ankle sprain, which I didn't know that was
possible. It's the lowest
high ankle sprain we've seen. We didn't talk,
well, no, there's metaphorically low, like
the grade is low or high. Yeah, low grade.
Then there's low sprain. We never
talked about Lamar Jackson's ankle sprain,
which they categorized as neither low
nor high, and like middle
sprain. Right. There's a word for that.
It's a middle ankle sprain.
So, yeah, so basically
Will Campbell's practicing in limited fashion.
Travion Henderson's limited.
AJ Brown, limited.
So we'll see. This is going to be, I think, Craig,
you're absolutely right. They should probably sit everybody
that is kind of limited.
Because the Jets, by the way, have beaten
or lost to the Patriots
18 out of the last 20 games.
The two times the Jets have beaten
the Patriots in the last, I don't
know, whatever, five, ten years
is that season
under Drod Mayo, where they lost
both. They lost two times to the Jets
that year. Or like, if you don't want to get too cute,
you could probably sit him against
the Jets to prepare him for Thursday
night, which is in Chicago against the Bears, which is a
much more challenging game. Yeah. So
yeah, we'll see.
The Jets offense, by the way,
I thought, because at the beginning
of the year, we were kind of encouraged.
Gino Smith was looking decent.
Uh, it's not really
been that good. It's, if you look
at a lot of the numbers, they're basically, they're
towards the bottom of the league. Can I push
back as a Jets defender? As somebody who
pathetically has had to kind
of rely on Gino Smith a little bit
in my life this season, which has been
terrible. The Jets have had a weird
tough go, and I would say they looked good
week one. Gino just didn't
throw any touchdowns. Um,
and then they have like a
couple horrible weather games, and then Brees Hall
got hurt. A.D. Mitchell got hurt. Kenyon
Sadiq's been super banged up. They weren't allowed
to touch the ball against Chicago, so
it has been kind of a very odd run.
They weren't allowed to. Yeah. And I think, you know, Omar
Cooper, I think, is going to come back this week, the rookie.
I do feel like the Jets,
when everyone is healthy, and it's like a normal, like
they play Miami next
week. Like, I think, like, if they get Brees Hall back for that,
A.D. Mitchell back for that, Sadiq back for that,
I actually think the Jets offense is not as bad
as it seems. I'm not giving up on them.
Um, it's more of, it's more of,
I was very encouraged early
on in the year, but then if you look at all the stats,
they're, it's not encouraging.
Um, but at the same time, I do
think Geno has played pretty well.
He has no interceptions. All things considered. Yeah.
So, I don't know. This could be
an interesting game, but if you look at the history of these two
teams, the Patriots have absolutely freaking dominated.
Um, so, it's
probably in their best interest to
get healthy and sit their guys that are
borderline healthy. I'm going to talk
about this game in Rigor 107. At the end of the day,
this is Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels
versus Aaron Glenn and Frank Reich.
Yeah. And again, without,
like, most of their best play, like, Garrett Wilson's
healthy, but other than that, like, they don't have anybody else. I don't think
Sadiq's playing. Brees Hall's not playing.
A.D. Mitchell's not playing.
It's supposed to be sunny in 57, so the weather
won't be a huge factor.
Probably. Ramondre
Stevenson is a must-start. That's the last thing I'll say on this.
Ramondre going forward until Travion Henderson.
I'm assuming Travion's out. I don't care what they say.
If Travion plays, whatever, but I'm like, Ramondre
Stevenson's a must-start. And I wouldn't get caught up
and even if Travion plays, actually, just
you have to find a way to get Ramondre in your lineup.
The schedule for the next month is amazing.
All right. We have
the next bucket here, which is, I'm going to call
this, this game seemed a lot
cooler when we scheduled it.
Which has to
start with the Chargers are at the Kansas City
Chiefs.
The 0-5 Chargers. The worst
team in the league. We were so excited in
May for Herbert versus Mahomes.
Yeah, dude. The Chiefs, this
is, you know, sometimes, like,
in Ringer 107, I think sometimes the
reason why we do okay is, like,
we don't overthink it. And I think you see
a number like 8.5 and you're like, that's pretty
big. I will keep betting
against the Chargers until they disappoint me.
And, dude, the
Chiefs coming off a bye.
The Chiefs with two weeks
to prepare against Justin
Herbert and the Chargers with no
offensive line. Also, Mahomes
tore his ACL last year against
the Chargers. My stat,
in the fourth quarter
this year, the Chargers are dead last
in points, touchdowns, turnovers,
penalties, and sacks.
Which is remarkable.
And I saw, you know, there's, like,
Solak tweeted about, like, oh,
could they trade Justin Herbert, blah, blah. I don't think
that's going to happen. One thing that
Rappaport, you know, it's like, it kind of
turned into, like, a thing where everyone's talking about
this offense and, like, McDaniel, blah, blah.
Rappaport threw out, like, I don't
think any, you know, I don't think they're going to move on from McDaniel
anytime soon, blah, blah, Harbaugh's safe, blah, blah.
And they're like, but,
if they were to
move on from mike mcdaniel i think the oc would be adam gaze and i spit out my water
holy shit
that's hilarious that can't be real there's no way that's real is that right that's there's no
way that's real that's true that's what adam rappaport or ian rappaport oh my god that's
hilarious crucially adam gaze i i will say in retrospect it was i i think i i we almost as a
joke talked about gaze on the chargers as a red flag but adam gaze was out of the nfl for like
five years right adam gaze i you know he was the coach of the jets and he got fired during the
covid season and maybe he's been consulting or whatever but he i don't think he's been on a staff
since 2020 until this season and in retrospect it's really weird that he would be the court like
the second in command of the chargers offense uh nikhil just pointed out that ben johnson's
actually not on the sean payton tree
you
he's on the adam gaze tree technically it's good so could be good could be good for the chargers
for reference for people um adam gaze the this is from scott barrett he tweeted this
this is adam gaze uh his offense is points per points scored per drive 2017 fifth worst 2018
sixth worst 2019 on the jets worst 2020 on the jets worst 21 to 2025 unemployed 2026 chargers
oh my god
how can you explain this gap in your employment history was he what was he in jail what was he
doing jail would be better hanging out these jails like a reason this that's great actually the the
funny thing is he's probably was just collecting money from whoever and chilling and having living
his best life the question i have well you guys remember the the his wife's story about the baby
right you good you good yeah yeah should i tell this
knuckle touch wait what long story short his wife they scheduled the c-section on a tuesday during
the NFL season just so that he could show up because it would work with his schedule show up
which right you know it's the 2013 broncos they're doing all the uh you know breaking all the records
and i spoiler adam gaze is fucking irrelevant to pate manning like pate manning is adam gaze
nate hacker there's bobbleheads whatever pate manning's doing and uh pate manning's like why
are you here is it your wife giving birth to you i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
it's a tuesday he's like yeah man wanted to be in the office and pain's like fucking leave what are
you doing so he goes shows up in time and they're like do you want to cut the umbilical cord sir he's
like no i'm good no time we're playing tampa this for anything and his wife and he looks at his
wife's like you good she's like i'm good he's like all right i'm out and that story is from
his wife she told that story she told the story all-time wife wife of the wife of the
forever we talk about life guys she's a husband gal yeah you know dk you making that you saying
like how can you explain this gap in your resume reminded me of that have you ever seen that always
sunny scene when charlie and and uh dennis are sitting down for an interview yeah looking at
the resume he's like how can you explain the it says here that in this year off you quote
did some odd jobs here and there what does that mean and they just called it a very
uneducational year that's adam case mostly odd jobs here and there from 2021 to 2025
oh man that is so good maybe he was making up for lost time with his
child who knows i hope was that his first child i hope not
i don't i just i just restarted matters i just restarted mad men by the way and i'm like this
is straight out of the 60s come on what are we doing here blinders like the whole anytime a
like all right have fun with that all right i'm gonna go smoke and drink adam gaze and his wife
jennifer have three children okay his son wyatt was born october 2013 i'm assuming that's the guy
i think that's the one we don't know if that's first kid second kid or third kid
dk does that matter to you if it's if it was the third kid is it less of a big deal
very slightly okay if it's the first kid
and you're like you good to me that's what we should say to me that's insane his wife is the
daughter of an nfl coach does that change things it does she's she was raised it's like uh
it's like bane it's like i was raised in the darkness she's the daughter of joe vitt
she knows how this world works so he was with the saints forever right yeah linebackers coach wow
okay man i we're gonna yeah we gotta keep trying married to the game except for that
five four year gap then i don't know who he was married to odd jobs here and there
vandal's making this your most rewarding season and in the spirit of giving we're gonna each give
our favorite touchdown scorer for this weekend my number one remandre stevenson for the patriots
trevion henderson's banged up and i think remandre is just better than people think
and so i i just think honestly remandre versus
the jets not quite automatic but i just really feel like he's gonna score
craig i like i like um in this dallas green bay game i like tida and tucker craft
the cowboys are like historically bad against the tight end this season tucker craft is plus
190 to score one touchdown he's plus 1600 which is 16 to one to score two
i'd probably sprinkle a little bit on both of those options i like that dk i'm looking
at this ravens browns game i like denzel boston the rookie out of washington who is open when he's
not open he's just a big powerful strong guy in the red zone and i just like him this week
he scored three touchdowns this year already yeah yeah if denzel boston and remandre scored
touchdowns and tucker craft scores two that is 75 to one so it's basically guaranteed you know we
can like get a stake in the chargers for if we hit that bet well they have to pay us to take the
charges check out our bet in the fandle app and remember that fandle is helping make this your
most rewarding season ever uh the next game that definitely seemed cooler when the nfl scheduled it
is the one and four houston texans playing the four and one jacksonville jaguars i still think
it's cool in my head the texans are just three and two to me analytically they're i mean they're
basically winning the division yeah that's how i see it the texans are i i do agree i think the
texans are probably a good team somewhere deep down and i mean they're basically two and one with
nico collins they lost that game to the bills right they should have had the interception and
if they do that they're two in one with nico collins yeah teams get to have one game that
in advance they're like this doesn't count oh oh like uh like a mulligan yeah you can't do it after
though it doesn't count towards the record yeah this one doesn't count um is this a rigor 107
reference because we forgot to make that one pick oh no no but i guess it should be um anyway
this one for 107. so the jags are favored by two and a half this game is in london
which did you i think it was uh i think it was trevor lawrence who said it sure didn't sound
like a home game last week or whatever would because people are always talking about how
the jags home field is in london or whatever um oh no dude the eagles do eagles fans traveled yeah
cam little said that that was other than denver he said it was the loudest stadium he's ever played
in for the eagles he said the eagles fans for against the jaguars was the loudest place he's
ever heard that's why the jags set like a penalty record they couldn't run plays inside the red
zone couldn't hear anything screaming at his team which i've never seen before the rams uh a week
or two ago no the broncos game because obviously way more denver fans than rams fans in los angeles
and so the broncos game stafford was was doing on the side they they couldn't get false they
couldn't get the snap count out but no they the i mean honestly i don't know i don't know if they're
like the eagles have won two super bowls in the last 10 years and a lot of people are just you
know yeah team gets good and people are fans like you know why would any of these people in london
be jaguars fans how dare you um here we go here's my one stat for this game and i wanted to focus
in on parker washington because what he's doing this year is awesome parker washington 17 game
pace this year 75 catches 1200 yards 14 touchdowns he is absolutely going off and it's it's just fun
to think about because during the offseason we didn't know what to do with this guy we're like
he definitely flashed
late end of the season he looked awesome we think he's a good player we think there's a great
connection there with trevor lawrence but we've seen so many times where a small sample just
doesn't play out the next year you know what i mean for whatever reason and there was there's a
lot of there were that did seem to be a lot of competition in the passing game with the jags
travis hunter's not playing offense barely he's getting like five snaps a game on offense maybe
um but you know the guy who reminded that parker washington really reminds me of that kind of like
truck he reminds me really of golden tate golden tate was a seahawk second rounder back in the day
his first two years he did basically nothing his third year he still was sort of just developing
and he didn't really break out till his fourth season if you look at the first 47 games for
both players their statistics are actually very very similar in terms of fantasy points per game
receptions are almost dead on receiving yards very close they're basically a two 200 yard
difference between the two of them for the first 47 games of their career and they're
close um basically parker washington is is golden tate reborn i feel like um and golden tate after
he left seattle he put up 1300 yards in with the rams or sorry with the lions and matt stack
um and so i don't know because i was just thinking there's not a lot of players like
parker washington that kind of like languish uh as a backup for a couple of years and then
all of a sudden is putting up 1200 yards um so i don't know to me golden tate is a really
interesting sort of comparison for him what's your guys's reaction to that i mean you don't
see a lot of receivers to like it was golden tate i didn't really realize how long it took for him
to come on like you said it was really year four parker washington same thing end of year three
kind of picks up i mean dude imagine three years ago watching brian thomas's rookie season yeah and
saying two years from now he's not he won't even be a top two wide receiver on this team and there's
another guy on the roster currently that will be better than him yeah it's pretty crazy yeah the
golden tate thing was interesting he was just kind of a knucklehead early on in his career and
i think this he broke into the donut place right that end on the field he was kind of a knucklehead
what's the donut he punched jaylen ramsey right uh golden golden tate
one of the best receivers i've ever seen in my life and i think he's the best receiver in the
world i think he was a rookie got arrested i don't know if it was like breaking in really he
lived above a donut shop and he wanted to make he came he went down and got some he absconded
with some donuts and he got arrested it wasn't like breaking and entering like he lived there
kind of it was a maple bar caper um was it not open and then he got in donut shop but he like
got caught and the police came and he's like guys i it was a whole thing he's like guys i was hungry
can you give me a break here i'm on the seat like break did he like bust down the door what happened
remember this was 15 years i don't i don't think it was like it was sort of oh literally seattle
times the great maple bar caper seahawks golden cake i remember him visit to top pot donuts yeah
they found their way into a cafe at they found their way in no one said we didn't we couldn't
go in there interesting um anyway it's one of those open area places and they probably just
could walk behind the counter you guys remember when ariana grande licked that donut
and that was a huge story what no what you remember that there was a video of ariana grande
in a donut shop and she picks up a donut and she licks it and puts it back what no what what is
what what what that's actually nobody was looking flabbergasted to taste the donut
and you know when you're that's even worse i thought it was like a promotional thing
no oh this is like no one's i thought it was like oh maybe the donuts were just put out for her
she was just in a donut shop as like a normal person i mean she was famous at the time but i
think that's a hundred times worse that's just psychotic it was a huge deal i can't believe you
didn't know about that i love i love the idea of it's just so funny to me these people who are
extremely rich just stealing for the fun of it or not stealing but i was just thinking of the
winona rider scandal where she got caught for shoplifting and i'm just like what i guess it's
just you're in it for the thrill or what look like when you can have everything how do you
feel anything you know what i mean you have to do something i just looked up and i just looked that
up and it said here's an article title winona rider and the seven other celebrities who have
been caught stealing so this is like a normal thing i think it's the rush i i that's gossipy
tabloid journalism dk read the list read me the other six though lindsey lohan farrah fawcett
amanda bynes jacob harris what if he was a deadly catch guy uh sunny liston denny
mclean jennifer capriotti uh yeah i don't remember any of those other ones i do think
i remember the lindsey lohan one well kelly clarkson didn't steal anything she was just
offended every time someone says something i'm on their side in that whole thing i was like how
they treat kelly like this then the store is like why are we being bullied by kelly clarkson i'm like
that's a good point kelly's like there's a price tag on my damn she's got him then the store is
like we're being fucking harassed i'm like man nobody nobody let high fits be a juror all right
i would just go back to the criminal actually whatever that store's name is
there are some of those like you bet tori's fucking talking about on his podcast
they're like accessing security footage so good because he found out that how does
pablo tori have access to everything well i think i have to imagine that now that he is who he is
like people come to him people just share some of them it's insane totally but he reported that
he got the security cameras outside of the store and the second she walks out she whips out her
phone and starts tweeting like immediately they lined up the time stamps uh anyway this game
looks good this looks like a fun game the jags are favored by two and a half um the jags are the
number two team in the nfl dvoa i don't know if that's if does that feel right to you guys i feel
like it does absolutely yeah i think the jaguars will have to win the super bowl for anyone to
notice they're good i mean they're one of the few for anyone to notice it's true they're just they're
invisible it's it's the arizona is invisibly bad and the jaguars are invisibly good like the
jaguars almost made a super bowl with blake bortles and people didn't even notice they were good
rip my heart out yeah uh yeah no i i i still think the jaguars could win the super bowl i just keep
coming back to i just think trevor lawrence just doesn't have the situational awareness of just
i don't know i still i will never really get over him sliding to not score with eight minutes left
in a game like that doesn't make any fucking sense that was fine further no it's not fine
what is the difference between that and jade and daniel's not knowing what time like he didn't know
i had no concept of what's the difference the game didn't end a massive no i'm saying game didn't end
and they were kicking significant they were up by like 20 to be clear in outcome of course it's
different no no no no situation but my point is situational awareness is not all the same
like situational awareness with like 50 seconds left in an overtime is very different than eight
minutes left in a game you're winning by 20 while up 25 yeah it's not to me
mean that he will brain fart down one with 20 i agree i think what i'm trying i'm not obviously
that was not as bad what i'm trying to say is sometimes your situational awareness and worse
in important situations gets worse not better like it's jaylen right i'm wearing a knicks hat
jaylen brunson says you don't rise to the occasion you sink to your level of preparation
and i'm saying i don't like that he had no you just don't trust him there was with no pressure
because some people sure you're like well in support you'll know no sometimes if you don't
like you know what i'm saying
like if you're not you have no sense of the clock when it's like me i'm like all right well in a
really important situation he might have no sense of how much time is on it just he does this shit
all the time he did it last week he threw the ball in fourth down he did a kirk cousin he did
a russell wilson got bent russell wilson's career ended because on fourth and goalie threw the ball
down 20 he threw the ball out of bounds and then he never played football again yeah but his stats
it's a fair thing to point out but i'm not ready to say like i i don't trust him in a tight game
because of that play it it
only bothers me to be clear because i actually love trevor lawrence i think he's underrated i
think he's again invisibly become a borderline i think he could become an elite quarterback but
that's the part that's missing is physically didn't trevor lawrence throw four picks in the
first half of the playoff game and then come back and win yeah i mean i was you know who that was
against chargers the chargers i do hate that that gets put on herbert and i'm like i don't know but
that the chart that was the chargers are just cursed i will say about this game texans jags
uh anton harrison uh the left tackle for the jaguars who is also an invisible
great player uh hurt his knee i don't know if he's out two weeks of the season i think he's out the
season but the walker little is going to play left tackle for them who it did the impossible
gets a contract extension from a gm who gets immediately fired and then benched so they gave
him like starter level left tackle money and then he was replaced by a six rounder and they're like
well he's just better than you so now he's back in the lineup but they're playing will anderson
and the texans so you got will anderson don't love that great left tackle uh which matters
because i think will anderson's probably gonna end up being defensive player of the year if the
texans have even above 500 record which isn't fair but that's how it works it's gonna be a
fascinating game too because i think marvin harrison's supposed to play in this game yes
he is for the texans to be said that marvin harrison will play that's i don't know i just
am very interested to see how this works i probably won't notice him the whole game as usual
um but i feel like they're gonna force him the ball i feel like look stroud's his boy they're
gonna get him a touchdown they're going to get maybe there's like five percent of me that thinks
he's just gonna be pretty good yeah i gotta well that's what i was gonna say like i i think
i kind of wouldn't be shocked what if it works part of me is like is he a bylaw might work is
there a chance this is the most important fantasy or dynasty moment of all time and you're like you
could just what if he's 90 as good as we thought he was i don't know i mean it's it's it's worth
thinking about his relationship with stroud nico collins is going to be the focus of every defense
and marvin harrison jr is going to get the second best corner of the team he'll do whatever he wants
and maybe and stroud's playing really well i don't know yeah i i heard um
matt harman was talking about this it's like the texans still i think want nico to be their x
and run the run the the x routes on the outside run the vertical routes be the be the number one
alpha on their team and that could open up harrison to i guess just be a good number two
which is probably what his ceiling is right now anyway um but the types of routes that he's running
could be more advantageous to catching more passes i am not recommending that you start marvin harrison
jr if he's on the fantasy team but i'm recommending that you hold on to him and not drop him yet yes i
totally agree
and i actually wouldn't mind trading for him this game is more dynasty than anything
next game again looked way cooler when they scheduled it i still think this is cool
it is cool cowboys at packers but it's the michael parsons bowl and michael parsons is
not playing in this game sure he's not even practicing yet it's still two offenses that
are cooking though it's just gonna be like a big 12 game yeah this is the michael parsons trade
game and then sunday night football was huge last year and then you know there was a tie and that
was a crazy game but so michael parsons is not
playing, uh, my one.
One fact for Cowboys Packers is do you guys remember that time that Jerry
Jones traded Michael Parsons to the Packers and they said it's for run
defense.
Remember that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
My one stat is that Dallas is dead last and run defense.
Nice.
They are allowing 170,
one seven.
Oh,
170 rushing yards per game.
Woo.
How is that last by a lot?
How is that even possible?
It that's,
that's just get some big guys in there.
Just give me one of the big ones.
The Cowboys are spending.
They are.
So there's cash and salary cap,
which I won't get into,
but think of cash as how much money you make.
And then,
you know,
rev it,
rev salary caps,
like your taxes or something like one's accounting,
one's money.
The Cowboys are top five in cash spending on defense this year,
like actual money being spent more than Seattle.
Dallas is spending more money than Seattle on their defense.
They also have used based.
If you look at the trades for first rounders and three second rounders on
their defense,
and in exchange,
they are also dead last in just defensive DVO way.
They are so bad.
They've,
I don't get,
I don't get,
I don't feel like I don't get as frustrated as I have ever watching a
defense as I've have been this year,
watching the Cowboys play defense.
Like normally I'm like,
good.
It's,
it's good for,
it's good for fantasy.
If the defense is bad,
like I'm usually pretty happy if a defense sucks,
but that judge Cowboys game,
we watching the Cowboys play defense is like,
why can't they,
why can't they figure this out?
So it's insane.
I thought that the week one game,
the Cowboys giants game in the week for what week is it?
We,
yeah,
that was week five is Thursday in football.
Cowboys bucks.
The same thing happened.
I'm curious.
Yeah.
I think it there's schematic things you could talk about,
you know,
the certain things for Sean Gary is no discipline in,
in certain run situations.
But to me,
there is a real lack of effort tackling like most in most sports.
Defense is mostly effort.
It's mostly just deciding to try really hard when you,
when you don't want to,
and the Cowboys don't want to tackle like Duran bland,
you know,
he can go get his pick sixes,
but that motherfucker does not want to tackle.
I mean,
that just goes for the whole team.
You know,
I've mentioned this a couple of times this year.
They have no juice.
They,
they,
the,
the personality and identity that they have is that we're going to give
up.
Let's just give up.
They,
they made Bucky Irving and week five look like trying to tackle Derek Henry
in week 18 when the season's over and everyone wants to go like to
Cancun.
It's like,
what's the first thing you think of when you think of,
the Texans defense,
the Seahawks defense,
the 49ers defense.
It's like swarming high intensity guys are jumping around really,
you know,
just high intensity.
And for lack of a better word,
just maniacs on that side of the wall.
Like you have to be a maniac to play defense in the NFL.
And I just feel like the,
the Cowboys have none of those guys.
They just don't seem to care.
It's crazy.
They need,
well,
they might have those guys,
but they need,
they need to show it more.
I guess it looked like they don't care.
So the Cowboys brought in Mike pet in this,
this week who was,
you know,
he was head coach of the Browns.
He was actually the Packers defensive coordinator for a while.
And it's terrible.
And he was the Vikings assistant defensive coach for four years.
He actually gave Christian Parker,
the Cowboys current defensive coordinator,
Christian Parker's first job in the NFL.
So they brought him in.
The story they're saying is they wanted to hire Mike pet in January,
but he was like,
I just retired.
It took some time.
And maybe there's an element of truth to that.
It prices,
the brick went up.
It looks like they're bringing an adult in to take care of Christian
Parker,
whether fair or not.
I mean,
frankly,
Jerry Jones usually prefers,
like old head coaches to be the defensive coordinator.
Christian Parker's 34.
And,
um,
you know,
maybe it's probably somewhere in the middle.
It's part of an adult.
They probably did call Mike pet in January,
but either way,
they're bringing in a defensive assistant who was a long time
defensive coordinator who bit him with the Vikings,
understands the Packers offense very well.
But,
uh,
that is certainly something to watch.
They're saying Christian Parker is still the defensive coordinator.
He's going up into the booth though.
Yeah.
Well,
that's the thing.
And so the other one is Joey Porter.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Joey Porter jr.
Presumably he's going to be the defensive coordinator.
He's going to play.
And last he was seen,
did you guys see,
he left the game with a bucket.
Like he didn't play last,
last week.
Well,
he's like puking.
Yeah.
I don't know what happened on that flight from Pittsburgh to
Dallas,
but he just caught some something.
He was just like literally leaving the stadium with a trash
can,
which I don't think I've ever seen.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Bad airport shrimp.
Yeah.
Speaking of the linebackers on Dallas,
I was listening to Mina and Nate on her show.
Talk about how bad the Dallas defense was dude,
specifically versus tight ends.
They're dead last and success rate versus tight ends.
But if you like the actual number,
the success rate of when,
when opposing teams throw to tight ends,
Dallas,
his success rate is 17%,
which is twice as bad as the second worst team,
the Bengals,
which means literally 83% of the time when the,
the opposing team throws to a tight end,
it is a failure for Dallas.
83% of the time.
It's like shooting free throws.
Success rate is a good stat.
Cause it's eye test.
Success rate is,
is two yards.
A good play.
Well,
on first and 10,
no,
but on third and one,
yes,
it's a good,
it's a good stat.
And so,
but the number you just said,
that's,
that means rolling a dice.
That's everything except one.
You win a five.
That's a five out of six chance that you get as many yards as you need.
And we saw Isaiah likely week one against Dallas go crazy.
Yeah.
So I,
yeah,
they're honestly,
it's pathetic.
Like it's,
and again,
they've thrown four first rounders and three second rounders at this thing.
In addition to being a top five spending,
let me go.
Let me,
let me hit you with a quick fantasy question because the Dallas defense is so
bad.
You mentioned the run defense,
Marshawn Lloyd for green Bay.
Who?
He didn't do a whole lot.
He had like one cool play last week,
scored a touchdown.
Would you consider playing him this week?
Yes.
I think he got more playing time in part to punish Caleb Johnson for
fumbling.
I actually think Caleb Johnson is more juice,
although Marshall Lloyd frankly showed a pizzazz that I actually had been
hoping to see from him.
He had a hurdle.
He had a cool Pat,
like he's been playing better.
Pizzazz is running jazz hands after he scored that.
We let,
we appreciated that.
No,
it was good.
His choreography was,
it was a lot of beef.
I think also this week,
the running back,
the options are kind of tough.
So yeah,
starting Marshawn Lloyd,
I think is an option.
I think you can,
I think I wouldn't be shocked if Caleb Johnson has more points than
Marshall Lloyd this week because maybe he'll play,
but I,
I wouldn't play Caleb Johnson under like I Marshall Lloyd.
I should think you should play him.
Yeah.
Cause I would the next game here,
Micah Parsons did not,
he's not going to play for Packers Cowboys,
but he did have a comment about Washington.
So the next game is Monday night football.
This week is the commanders are at the San Francisco 49ers.
Micah Parsons said on his podcast,
that Jaden Daniels probably cost my man,
Dan Quinn,
his job,
to be honest with you,
to be honest with you,
like I'm a big Jaden Daniels fan,
but the reality is he probably cost a lot of people,
their jobs this past weekend.
I didn't realize he's still doing a podcast.
Good for him.
Maybe,
maybe he should,
he probably doesn't realize we're still doing a podcast.
Well,
of course he doesn't listen to ours,
but yeah,
Washington versus the commanders.
I had a stat for you guys.
The Niners.
Yeah.
Oh,
sorry.
What did I say?
Washington versus the commanders.
Yeah.
That was,
they are,
they are in a way.
That was them versus them.
They are in a way playing themselves.
It's a mental game out there.
You really always are.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I have a stat for you,
but frankly,
I have a fact that's more interesting.
The stat is actually,
I mean,
basically the Niners played three linebackers a lot and Brock Purdy and the
Niners just absolutely destroy teams when they play three linebackers because
Brock Purdy is like nine touchdowns and no interceptions.
And it'll like,
do you think Washington knows that and doesn't care?
Or do you think Washington knows that and doesn't care?
I don't think Washington knows that and will adjust.
I don't think they can.
I don't think they have enough defensive backs to do it.
Like they can't,
like they're already struggling with the defensive backs they have on the
field.
I think part of the reason they do is because Sonny styles is so
goddamn fast that he could just play anyone,
but I don't know.
Rookie linebacker is Cal Shannon.
I just think that the Niners are going to cook and Washington's only thing
they can do is blitz a lot and they can blitz,
but I just think the Niners are going to cook them.
I will say though,
I think more interesting than that.
My little fat fun factoid for this game is after
Dan Quinn made one of the worst coach oversaw one of the worst
in-game football catastrophes we've seen with that tie last week.
You have a minute left in field goal range.
Don't even get your field goal unit on the field.
You have a minute.
This is the 28 to three Falcons reunion.
This is Dan Quinn and Kyle Shanahan,
who were the two coaches,
offense and defense.
Dan Quinn's the head coach and defense.
And Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for the Falcons 28 to
three collapse,
which probably wouldn't be such a thing on front of Monday,
mind if Dan Quinn had 10 years later,
not had also one of the worst coaching things anyone's ever seen.
Oh man,
I forgot about that.
So some feelings.
I live in DC,
including the Jaden Daniels rookie year where they almost made the Super
Bowl.
I have never been asked about a football game more than this week.
I have people that I know for a fact,
do not watch football asking me,
what do you,
what I think happened at the end of that?
What do you say?
I say that I think it's,
it's Dan Quinn and David Blouse fault coordinator for calling a play.
And they shouldn't call a play in that situation.
And it's still Jaden Daniels,
his fault for not knowing the time.
And then what people have been asking me,
like,
and it's actually sometimes very nice to talk to people.
Don't watch football.
And one of them was like,
so how does Jane Daniels not know the time?
Like,
how is that literally,
how is that possible?
You just have a lot of shit going on,
man.
Like that's the truth.
And that's why people like Belichick keep it simple.
Like,
that's why it's like Mike Thomas or just kick the field goal because
they're just overthinking it.
Like,
Oh,
we'll overthrow the thing.
And it was just a mistake to put him in that situation and he should
know it,
but it's hard.
Funny thing is the whole time you're talking about that,
which I was absolutely true,
but their sense of urgency on that play was just zero.
They just were kind of hanging out.
He's standing there with his hands in his hand warmer,
waiting for the play to come in.
He wanders over to the,
to the huddle.
And you would have thought it was like,
I just,
I think it's crazy.
My gut of what happened and as
mike tommen said we probably never know for sure my gut is they relate it to him and it was in one
ear at the other like i just think he didn't process the information i think i think it cut
out like a like a sports movie and remember we have no cut yeah here's the most important thing
i've been thinking about this so i wanted to ask you because i was wondering
if dan quinn had the worst coaching moment in two separate decades because i think 28 to 3 falcons
is like obviously probably the worst thing ever it's not a moment but like that overall meltdown
and i was wondering is this is the worst in-game coaching decision of the decade
well i remember eberflues thursday thanksgiving was bad so that's on the list and again i'm not
talking urban meyer kicking his kicker at practice and then flying out to like his bar
like you know i'm saying things that happen during a game which that right right that was
kicking his kicker and then flying out to
his bar lose thursday football don't get on the team plane go to the bar you own
immediately videoed with someone it's not your wife just so can i give you guys the list and i
want you guys to help me figure out where we slot in the dan quinn thing these are i think these
were my the the worst coaching decisions of the 2020s i have on there the maddie berflues like the
they ran out of time thing yeah yeah thanksgiving 30 seconds they don't get into the play-in
uh matt lafleur fourth and goal two minutes left in the playoffs
down eight they kick a field goal on fourth and goal instead of letting aaron rogers try
fourth and eight they kick a field goal so they're down five so they still need a touchdown
that one's bad uh i have gets forgotten nate hackett settling for a 64-yard field goal
instead of taking a fourth and five uh and at that it doesn't sound crazy anymore but at the
time before the special teams balls were juiced there had been two 64-yard field goals in 100
years right and he took a 64 and his kicker was one for eight from 60 never mind 60 years ago
and so instead of a fourth and five and the one that i actually think should be number one
is that chargers raiders sunday night football game that was the final game of the regular season
that if it was a tie both teams got to make the playoffs and they ended up in this weird
minute left you know we could just kind of do a gentleman's run out the clock thing here and then
like no one had we both make the playoffs and brandon staley called a timeout which was like i
you're about to start making out with someone and you like check your fucking phone and you're like
and he called the timeout and then the raiders won the game and it was like he could have and
like i actually kind of think that's the worst one but i was wondering i think that i'm wondering
where the dan quinn one slots in here i think the dan quinn one is not the worst one it's definitely
in the top five but i think because so much of the blame on the surface appears to be jayden
daniels yeah it saves him a little bit right there are other things where it's like lafleur
choosing to kick the field goal that's just lafleur you could argue jayden daniels fucked
up here dan the mistake they made is they called a play but like realistically everyone will blame
jayden daniels yeah the bet and everyone made the joke that he thought the stop the clock would stop
at five out of respect right it's a good joke it is all right the next game here bills are at the
raiders this week this game my one stat for this game is that it has the highest game total over
under for the week this is gonna be a shootout fifty three and a half points over under
um the bills are let's see the bills are giving up twenty eight points per game the raiders are
giving up twenty six points per game the bills are first in scoring and thirty three points a
game the raiders are ninth in scoring twenty six points a game so there's gonna this is two good
offenses against two good uh two bad defenses i'm excited to watch this i do think kubiak has
been cooking and that is going to be going up against a team like obviously josh allen has
tons of aura there's their offense has a chance to uh just kind of
run them off the field and and put them behind and basically make it hard for the raiders to kind
of like keep up with them but because i think generally you need some balance in the kubiak
offense like you need to be able to run the ball then you do play action and things like that i
don't know if they're necessarily a team that's gonna be playing from behind a bunch with kirk
cousins but i think this is a fascinating game and cousins has been pretty shockingly good
after it felt like his career was almost over because of what he did coming off of the achilles
injury and he just looked like he couldn't move and all that and he's he's been good
um top 10 and basically every big stat in quarterbacking you mentioned that josh allen
has a ton of aura i would say out of 10 josh allen's like a 9.9 on the aura scale right
yeah kirk cousins what that's my stat 4.5 a five i was gonna ask i wonder if every week
we should do our own lines oh our own betting lines but it's the aura line of the quarterbacks
is this the largest gap in aura of any game quarterbacks at quarterback
or a spelling it's like already in the word or a back or a back i don't know but is this the
largest aura gap this week yeah the aura or a gap quarterback or a gap you know what i mean
the aura gap is big i guess the question that comes to my mind is did kirk cousins have aura
when he did the you like that thing or was that negative aura i think it started as we're laughing
at you
and now it's become we're laughing with you and we found we like find it to be
endearing right so not good aura no that game is pretty crazy oh my god he had you like that
it became a meme but like dude he was playing great kirk's tricky yeah my other thought about
the raiders in this game is like do you think the raiders are a really good team or an average team
and they're coming down to earth a little bit they just got killed by new england and now if
you look at their schedule a little bit of a difference between them and the raiders
it's like all right they beat miami they beat the chargers in week two who we now know are terrible
they beat the saints by set by eight and now they've lost to the chiefs in a close game and
they got killed by the pats they play buffalo they play the rams like we got all hot and bothered when
they were three and oh and now that i see three and two and you have genti banged up and their
receivers are pretty thin and it's brock bowers and do you do you feel a little bit more realistic
about the raiders are you still very bullish no i think i don't think they're that good of a team
i do think their offense can cook at times
um but it's more of the latter it's that they played some bad teams and play them well but
when they're playing quote-unquote real teams it's probably not going to look that great
i think i think raiders fans could be probably pretty honest with themselves about that
this is year one yeah it's gone better than you'd expect already so you get to be happy with it
i would argue the raiders started the season playing the two worst teams in the asc i don't
think that's even a question dolphins chargers and then they're
they play the saints then the next three games are against three of the best and the saints are
not good either no but they but then they lost the chiefs are probably like super bowl favorites
then they played the patriots who just made the super bowl and look like that team again
and then the bills who are also super bowl teams so other than the jags i mean are those and then
they play the rams the fc the bram so i'm like and jets then 49ers seahawks broncos broncos kind
of suck but it's like they're kind of only playing really good or really bad teams so i don't know if
they are the whole season yeah
like it's the whole season's kind of like that for them they have titans and cardinals and browns
and then chiefs again and i so they just it's all just the hardest or so they're i think they'll go
through the whole season like this and if they beat up the bad teams and you know if they can
compete with the bills this week that's interesting but i'm not really going to hold any of this
against them no i mean it yeah there we did get for the first time this year talk of when is
mendoza going to start you know um which is not good but if you look at which we didn't even talk
about last year it was just looking at all the stats and i know that it's it was kind of tilted
towards the beginning of the year but cousins has been top 10 and he's second and passing touchdowns
10th in yards per game ninth and pass rating 10th and epa for drop back ninth and sex taken just
eight tenth and fantasy points per game um he's been pretty good in terms of their offense has
been definitely a surprise for me just based on what they were last year um defensively they're
26 in dva so this is kind of a rainbow strip team they're going to be able to put up points but
a ton of points and it's good for fantasy at the very least the next game here is the cardinals are
at the rams uh my staff for this game i want to shout out rich rebar again no one's doing it like
rich man rich is the goat again if you look at 20 yard plus plays which i know everyone keeps
talking about now but bill barnwell had a really good column that pointed out that explosive play
differential is now as important as turnover differential for winning a football game which
is crazy the number one thing correlated with winning games is winning the turnover battle
which everyone knows
for you for decades for literally since football was invented basically right centuries explosive
football explosive plays having more 20 plus yard plays than your opponent is now basically on par
with that which is crazy it's because of the kickers that is part of it yeah and so rich
rebar had the stat that the rams have the biggest differential of explosive plays in the nfl they
have more they're 13 more explosive plays than their opponents this season which is
most in the nfl and the cardinals have 13 fewer explosive plays than their opponents which is the
worst in the nfl basically it's the i wish i had a better way of explaining that but basically
it's like turnover if the rams are the best turnover margin and the cardinals are the worst
but for explosive plays yeah i mean there's so many players on the rams that like this year i
can already think of like when you think of kyron williams davante adams and puka takua
all of them have had like massive huge explosive plays every game even terence ferguson before he
got hurt was just like cranking them out.
- Heifetz, that's a stat
I ran across this morning too
because I was doing
some research on Cam Ward,
which we'll talk about
a little bit here,
but Jacoby Brissett
is dead last
in explosive pass rate.
Which I don't think
I would have expected at all.
I know,
but I would have expected
because I don't know.
I kind of view him as
a guy who likes to push
the ball down the field
is not afraid to.
But yeah,
they just have not gotten
anything going down the field.
Next game here.
Steelers are at the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Yeah,
I would like to just say
right now get ahead of it.
My alarm bells are going
off for this game.
I agree.
I don't want to talk about it.
I'm telling you right now.
We're so Steelers to lose.
I love Craig.
Craig's the best type of fan.
I just know it.
My stat is that
Todd Bowles is just one of
three defensive coordinators
that Aaron Rodgers has faced
where he has more interceptions
than touchdowns.
Whoa,
good stat.
Rodgers is pretty open
about Todd Bowles
and has spoken a lot about
how his defense is really
hard for him.
His touchdown ratio
against Todd Bowles
is seven touchdowns
and nine picks.
His passer rating
is 70.
Nine,
which is the second worst
versus any team
other than the Bills.
Nine picks for Rodgers
is crazy
because he does not throw picks.
That's like his thing.
Rodgers has only thrown
three interceptions
in a game six times.
Two of them were in Tampa Bay.
Wow.
And this game
for a multitude of reasons
just worries me.
One,
the Steelers are coming off a win,
which usually means a loss.
That is like,
sometimes it is that simple
and if you look at their schedule,
it has gone win-loss,
win-loss, win.
They're on the road
in Tampa Bay.
The Bucs D
has been a lot better
as of late.
They gave up
17 points
and 197 yards
to Jordan Love.
Last week,
16 points
and two interceptions
to Dak Prescott.
They're really good
against the run.
I worry about Jalen Warren.
My recommendation
is that I think
Jalen Warren is like
the biggest sell-high
in fantasy right now,
I would say.
Yeah.
I think you should
try to trade him.
I just get a little nervous.
I think there's like
a lot of good stuff
by the Steelers.
I think like the new
right tackle rookie
is playing well.
Their offensive line
has been better,
whatever.
But even with this
undrafted rookie
playing Jalen Daniels
for the Bucs,
this game,
the Rodgers struggles
against the Blitz.
I think they're going
to Blitz the shit
out of them
and it's going to be messy.
There's no reason
the Steelers
should lose this game
and they always
lose those games.
Yes.
They're always close.
I agree.
This is like one of those
everyone in Ringer 107
is going to have it
except us and then
I can't tell you
what's going to happen
but something's going to happen.
Craig,
over under
amount of times
Craig is going to text
DK Metcalf
should be benched
this week.
The line is two and a half.
Yeah.
I think we're going over.
Which the line in this game
is two and a half
which is already
a red flag to me.
I'm like
the fucking Pittsburgh Steelers
are playing Jalen Daniels
and the spread is only
two and a half
and can't even get a field goal?
And they're like
it's in Tampa Bay.
I'm like there are Steelers fans
everywhere.
Like any place
the Steelers go
there's always a lot
of Steelers fans.
I think we should take the Bucs.
I can't believe the line
is not three.
Maybe we should wait
until Sunday morning
and maybe it'll go up to three
but I think I'll take Tampa.
We won't remember.
Yeah.
We won't, yeah.
Other games that
are kind of bad.
The Giants are at the Saints
this week.
My one fact
my one stat here
is Bryce Young
outscored Tyler Shuck
last week.
Bryce Young was on a bye.
God damn it.
I mean, yeah.
I had to shotgun a beer
because of Tyler Shuck.
The Vikings defense is great.
I don't want to hold it against.
Yeah.
DK, DK.
Will you ever post this?
Well, I didn't.
I didn't have to really.
I enjoyed it.
Why don't you post them?
Absolutely not.
Why?
We'll see.
Maybe someday.
We should.
We did it together on camera
on Dave Chang's show.
That's true.
The thing I wanted to mention
to the Saints.
Did you guys see the owner
of the Saints, Gail Benson
said this week
because the Saints
are one and four now.
I feel like they started hot.
They almost beat the Lions
like the Saints.
Oh, Shuck looks good.
Yeah, we thought they were good
for a hot minute there.
Saints are one and four.
Gail Benson said this week.
I will not make excuses
and I will not accept
this level of performance
as our standard.
I am committed to making
the decisions necessary
to improve this team.
Subtext there.
Everyone in this organization
understands the urgency.
We must prepare better,
execute consistently,
correct the mistakes
that are causing us the games.
Words will not restore
our fans' confidence.
Our performance must do better.
When an owner says
I am committed to making
the decisions necessary
to improve this team,
that means like I might
fire Gail on more.
Like that's what that means.
You think Gail Benson
will be down in the field
like R.C. Gordon
with a notepad this week?
Kind of just checking over things?
Making sure?
Sheil had a good take
which is
is the Washington thing
not an example of why
R.C. Gordon wants to be
in the headset?
If you were the owner of the team
don't you kind of wish
you heard that shit?
Wait, hold on.
What are we doing?
I don't think
I don't mind it.
I don't think it's that big of a deal.
I've said it.
I said that two weeks ago.
I think it's fucking fine.
People need to settle down.
Do you think people would care
if she wasn't taking notes?
She owns the fucking team.
Let her take interest in it.
Do you think people would care
if she
I mean obviously part of it
is because she's like a
you know
She's a woman.
Yeah, she's a woman.
And like but
how much of it's
I mean obviously a woman's like 90%.
Do you think the other 10%
is like her taking notes?
Or is it the headset?
I think just writing down stuff.
It's both.
It's both.
Yeah.
It's a whole pot
melting pot of sexism.
But it's like a woman
and she's taking notes.
It's like oh, look at her.
It's stupid in my opinion.
Fucking let her take notes.
Let her take interest in the game.
She owns the goddamn team.
Unless she's like telling Shane Steichen
what to do.
That's different.
But if she's just like
minding her business.
Meddling.
I wish John Mayer
had been taking notes on the Giants.
I wish the Giants owners
had been taking notes
the last like 10 years.
I would have been helped.
That would have been nice.
Is Brick on the sidelines these days?
What's he doing?
Brick?
What is Brick doing?
I don't know.
I never know what Brick is doing.
I think he's on the Harvard tennis team.
Is he still in school?
Get him out there.
I think so.
Brick Johnson.
What a name.
His name is literally Brick Dick.
Oh, he's at Lincoln.
Incoming summer analyst 2026.
Yeah, he screams
JP Morgan.
Third point LLC.
Equities and
private credit.
His background on
on LinkedIn
is just the
campus of Harvard.
I would do it too
if I could.
Yeah.
Titans are at the Colts
this week.
Damn.
Colts are faded
by six and a half.
Titans.
The Titans have had
the same season
for like five years in a row.
I know.
It's tough.
My one stat
is that I
searched high and low.
I had to
search very hard.
I probably,
you know,
fired up the old
search engine,
true media.
It's like burned down
a couple rainforests
burned down a rainforest
in the Amazon.
Not great.
Doing all this computing
power to find one stat
that actually looks
kind of good for Cam Ward.
I found one that's like,
OK,
it's his off target
rate at nine percent
this year.
Ranks ranks eighth
in the NFL.
So that's the one
stat that I could find
where he's like not
really bad
or bad.
Or hey,
yeah,
I would say
is objectively good.
That is kind of good.
However.
Not to like,
you know,
nitpick it,
but he does have
the fourth lowest
average air yards
per attempt.
So I don't know
if I should care
about his off target
rate at all.
Cam Ward
both has way more
Will Levis plays
than you would ever think.
Like if Will Levis
did some of the stuff
Cam Ward did,
it would get memed.
I also think the Titans
offensive line.
I really miss the
surrender Cobra stuff.
God,
that was good.
I do.
But I will say
the Titans offensive
lines also been like
an abomination
and Cam Ward.
Sometimes his style
it's a little too casual
that play where he was
just kind of like
standing still
and through the ball
was crazy.
But there was a rep
last week,
like something I truly
don't think I've ever seen
where Peter Skowronski
was a first round pick
was going against
I think Will Anderson
and Will Anderson's
do it like over him
as a guard
and Peter Skowronski
just fell down,
but he didn't get touched
and I assume
that he tripped
in someone's foot.
No,
I think somebody
stepped on,
I don't know,
I don't know,
I don't know,
on his foot.
I think did he?
OK,
that would make me feel
better because it was
it was actually like sad
and the Will Anderson's
just in Cam Ward's life.
But like that point
is the look,
we've all been there
at two in the morning
when the offensive line
is getting memed.
It's like you don't want
your offensive line
to be online.
There was so many bad.
Yeah,
you did not want
your offensive lineman
should be Milford.
There was the Dan Moore
clip of him like
blocking a ghost,
but it was
but then,
you know,
it's really I think
like the running back
was supposed to take
that person,
but it looked as though
Dan Moore
was like blindfolded
trying to play tackle
like feeling in the dark.
Sometimes doing your job
can get you in trouble.
Yeah,
no,
to be clear,
I'm not like actually
placing all the blame
on Cam Ward,
like the Titans
as an organization
right now are a mess
like nothing is working
for them.
They he doesn't have
a lot of talent around him,
but this is kind of
how it goes.
At some point,
you want to see
a little bit of development.
I just want to see
one game where
I start to feel confidence
that he's going to make it
because I'd like to see
it this week.
I'm getting kind of worried.
Yeah, the Colts.
Yeah, the Colts defense.
If you can't do it this week,
I am worried it will not happen.
I agree with you on that
because of that.
Can I ask?
I do a quick start
set for you guys.
I I'm in three leagues,
high school,
college and ringer.
Two of them are going well.
The high school one
not so good
because I drafted
Justin Herbert,
Saquon Barkley,
Jalen Waddle,
David Montgomery
and somebody else
that's been terrible.
I'm sure,
but Herbert.
Oh, and Justin Herbert.
Did I not say that?
Maybe you did.
Yeah, but anyway,
we got to double down on Herbert.
Like it is literally
Luther Burden.
It's been like just
a complete fucking disaster.
But so I'm one in four.
I'm like, who cares?
Should I start Cam Ward
and Gino Smith
over Justin Herbert?
Justin Herbert is against
the Chiefs.
Yes.
Cam Ward here is playing
the Colts and Gino Smith
is playing the New England.
Yes.
And here's why.
I don't know if I would
tell everyone to do it,
but you psychologically
if Herbert burns you again,
I don't think you can handle it.
I mean, Kim Ward straight up has just outscored
justin herbert this year i mean the colts defense is horrible kim word has two games with 19 points
or more like you can't play herbert you cannot play herbert he's four rookie offensive linemen
still like you can't do it nothing you cannot execute and it plays don't matter when you have
four rookie offensive like the plays don't fucking matter don't you guys think maybe this is a good
pivot into 107 let's just get into 107 you want to do it wait you mentioned montgomery can i just
read you one email someone sent about david montgomery yeah sure for matthew this is coffee
and nicotine pouches hard talked on the last episode of pelicating which is this guy projectile
but kept it in his mouth and then kept you know pelicating oh god and matt said david montgomery
is i'm pelicating david montgomery just every week david montgomery is the vomit in my mouth
i'm holding it in and i need to know should i just open my mouth and projectile vomit and
bench him or should i keep playing him every week and just
swallowing the vomit well by the grace of god he's injured so you don't have to play him
right but i've been pelicating justin herbert for five weeks justin herbert and you should
just fucking vomit in the toilet i think so yes yeah very clearly all right ringer today's ringer
107 is brought to you by fan duel we're in first place this is the best it'll ever get boys we're
winning the ringer 107 and we're in first second and third place in the ring of fantasy football
league this is enjoy it apex mountain baby we used to pray for times like these but
boys all right so uh we're gonna do uh ringer 107 in 107 seconds yeah right here should i set
the timer here uh cam cam gong us after a minute 47 don't you guys think the the chiefs we're gonna
keep betting against the chargers until they kill are we starting yeah we started i was just gonna
ask are there any ridiculous games that seem obvious that no one's gonna bet because it's a
shitty team versus a good team and the shitty team will win because i feel like this week it's like
the jets at new england
the titans at the colts the chargers at kansas city washington and san francisco one of those
teams is gonna win yeah i agree not just cover win i agree so i mean we could put them in a teaser i
mean i have i i want the chiefs over the chargers eight and a half i thought that should be 13
yeah me too i think i kind of i kind of do bills giving five and a half to the raiders
oh maybe the raiders could beat them but i'm like i kind of just want to do that is there a chance
that game though it's like it's like 38 35 and you just like feel like shit because it's just
but you wanted to bet on the raiders no he wanted buffalo but i'm like yeah yeah yeah
yeah the other one is dude i kind of ravens giving three and a half i don't give a shit
if lamar's playing or not i just kind of want the ravens to beat the browns by four
i had that as well i mean i had the bears minus one and a half at atlanta i'm like caleb's back
michael penny's got the rib thing so do you guys have any other picks are we locking these in
because i think chief's giving eight and a half i think bill's giving five ravens giving three i
know they're all favorites but i also don't hate patriots giving seven and a half i think
kind of like houston getting two and a half you could i wanted to do a teaser and the teaser be
texans getting eight and a half and the patriots getting one and a half i don't want to do the
jags game that's a huge stay away to me that it's just like that game is basically even and i just
that's why eight and a half i know but i don't know all right then what are your teams because
we're running out of fucking time here i like i have who you have i like the ravens i like the
chiefs i like the pats we can do the bills that's four i want to throw out the bears minus one and
a half versus atlanta and i think we do bucks plus two and a half versus the steelers do you
say eight and a half with the undrafted free agent oh yeah let's yeah that's a good call
bucks up to eight and a half and then let's do oh i guess we get none we're actually gonna do
we're gonna bet on jaylen daniels this week absolutely let's do bucks plus eight and a half
and we'll put it with what do we want i want the texans plus eight unless you guys don't have
anything else or i do the eagles plus nine and a half if you want to talk about something no one's
we don't we have a no london game rule we do what about what about titans what about titans plus 12
and a half titans no can do that what about teasing up the giants
giants i i would if you want the galaxy brain teaser of bucks plus eight and a half and eagles
plus nine and a half it's like no one in the world's making that this weekend it's kind of
funny to me god
well that's the thing you're you just put your hand to the face that's why it's gonna win
okay all right dude god there's no one on the eagles there are no good players okay well if
you don't want that then i'm telling you texans plus two and a half the jags have this backup
left hyphens is obsessed with this texans game we should just let him have it we'll do the stupid
texans it's been over 107 seconds i i was down for eagles too no no it's fine dk have you said
what do you want to give it said a word uh i already had the ravens and bills so i agreed with
you i i had the i think the steelers probably win but that's fine we'll go with the steelers losing
uh no it's just winning by that sorry yeah yeah and then i had uh break the tie if we're doing
texans i had giants plus one and a half i'll go with the giants you want to do the giants in this
teaser giants against who are they fucking playing saints oh you want to tease them up to seven and a
half or what what is it yeah it's two and a half tease them up to eight and a half
yeah you want to do that uh if it's do you feel good about that yeah actually i i kind of do all
right are they at home or in new orleans they're in new orleans ah yeah but it's in a dome jamis
let him do work jamis in new orleans who knows what he's getting up to yeah so we're taking
chiefs bills ravens patriots and we're teasing the bucks and the giants yeah sure sure today's
the day we're doing the big game of the day we're doing the big game of the day we're doing the big
is unbelievable he should be banned from bill's house that's hilarious that is
i'm good no thanks two different kinds of homemade daechang stew
nah not even a bite i'm not gonna try it that's the best part is first of all what's the butter
like 26 27 you can't even take one bite so i won't try it a stew it's not a it's not you know
what i mean he could have done it he could have done it he could have done it he could have done
it he could have even said hey i just ate but i'd love to try a couple bites just have a couple
bites what are you doing are you ever gonna cook for you again oh my god chang says the butter's
dead to him good that's correct that's very funny just love he's like oh i'm not hungry
he won't try one bite well no is he is he like a strict diet is he like look it's after he's a he's
like a strict diet is he like oh i'm not hungry he's like oh i'm not hungry he's like oh i'm not
hungry he's like oh i'm not hungry he's like oh i'm not hungry he's like oh i'm not hungry he's like
another comp like paul mccartney wants to play for you like i just heard a bunch of music yeah
like what's a good what's a good comparison to this you don't even know the only i would just
keep making comparisons that are exactly the same like i feel like it's understand i'd be like that
i'd be like if taylor swift wanted to sing with you and you were i don't even there's nothing
worse this is as bad as it gets what gets the bundle oh all right uh thank you dk thank you
craig thank you to the bundle for that incredible i'm no longer the worst food takes person at the
ringer so that's nice that feels nice the weight off my shoulders thank you austin thank you cam
thank you nikhil thank you everyone for listening email us at ringer fantasy football gmail.com
we'll take suggestions for next month's um songs although i like the ones we had and then email us
i forget oh fantasy courts and we want waivers and trivia questions so boom so thank you and
of course thank you lauren lauren uh heifetz you are up i did dance monkey last episode people
hated that
i think it was uh because it's an earworm and it really just sticks with you because people
was like yeah dance monkey dance wait so what is the name of the category i'm banned now from
saying the name songs you're embarrassed that you love or guilty pleasures this is a real like
to the original premise that dk said which was if you were at a red light and you're listening
to the song and you're your windows down would you roll the windows up because you don't even
want strangers to hear you listening to the song and this is like actually true i i think i i
actually do play this song on my car every now and then i like it and i would never listen to
the song with another person which is saying something because heifetz has very little shame
yeah that's true
this guy will bring a a ham to the beach there are a couple songs on the soundtrack for the
movie suicide squad okay okay that i really like the suicide squad soundtrack i never saw the movie
will he has that shot never please i would never go i don't even know what his name is but the
song sucker for pain which has also imagine another magic logic wiz khalifa and lil wayne
doing the most mailed in corporate it's wiz khalifa and imagine dragons and logic and lil wayne
and it's and even though lil wayne's there i promise you it's really embarrassing to like
this song and it's like logic's an embarrassing person to like kind of love him like again more
imagine dragons are doing the like sucker for pain and it's just um i i don't know i don't know i don't
- I wish I didn't like it, but it's, yeah, I do.
you love logic i like logic and that's also an embarrassing personal like the problem is the
other song the other song in the soundtrack that's also good is purple lamborghini which is also like
a terrible song and it's skrillex and rick ross and it's a perfect it's kind of like the pop
country version of cruise except it's not even a good song at least cruise is a good song people
want to listen to it purple lamborghini is like one of the last songs you can play for other people
because if people like love edm they'll hate it because it's like really corporate movie soundtrack
edm but it goes against the ethos of edm yes if you hate edm it is like barely music it is just
really loud metal scratching sounds it's like the most abrasive song ever and i regret to inform you
i fucking love purple this is so specific this is really specific i love that he's got the soundtrack
to suicide
squad in his car yeah i'm gonna give these songs a listen i love that we're concocting the most
annoying soundtrack ever made that really is it dude i'm telling you purple lamborghini
it's a good song i mean no one well actually it's a bad song but i like it things started off okay
right like if you're if you're putting on our playlist it's like party in the usa domino sure
radioactive avril lavigne and then it's like clumsy by fergie cruise by florida georgia line
hero enrique inglesias
fucking dance monkey and then sucker for paid it's like the picture of the horse
the horse is getting worse
i'm having it i love this month this is a good
i am starting to have trouble though where i'm like there are songs where i'm like
i like it and other people might find it embarrassing but i'm not really embarrassed
by liking it i guess if i played it in my car you know there's songs like man i feel like a woman
like i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it
oh that song there's nothing no that's to me the opposite like you turn the windows down like when
people hear the song like like people love that song like like if i put on born this way by lady
gaga which is like a song i really like that's not embarrassing i guess if like a bunch of frat
guys are walking by it would be embarrassing but like the audience does the audience matters yeah i
yeah but i don't think but now i but there's also like a level of
like even avril lavigne i'm like ah the people like that song though like it's a good song
yeah like this this is true to the category because i actually would play it if i was alone
but i would never play it for other people if the other people in the car i'd be like oh my god now
how'd this get on how'd this come on this must be a shuffle uh i love that you haven't watched
the movie but you stumbled onto the soundtrack oh i don't even know will smith i don't know
it's like all those i'm not watching that movie i've never seen them either no i've never seen
i wouldn't know please anytime they try to do the joker again i'm just like it was i'm good
i'm good we did that we did it well don't worry about it just let that one go
oh all right purple lamborghini look it up check it out goodbye everyone

FAQs
Jalen Hurts is out due to a superficial blood clot in his calf, which is a form of thrombophlebitis. While it's not deep, it can be painful and may require treatment, especially if it's migratory and moves through veins.
It refers to a blood clot that forms in a vein just below the skin's surface. It's not deep, so it doesn't typically travel to the lungs, but it can be painful and may require medical attention.
It's uncertain how long he'll be out. Football and blood thinners don't go well together due to the risk of internal bleeding, and recovery time varies by player and medical advice.
Tanner McKee is expected to start, though his performance is seen as questionable given his size and lack of experience with the tush push play.
Denzel Boston is excelling as a rookie, leading the Browns in receiving yards, touchdowns, and first downs, and is on pace for 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Lamar Jackson is expected to play, though he hasn't practiced recently and may be limited due to an ankle sprain, which could affect his availability.
