INSTANT REACTION TO THE BEST WEEK OF THE SEASON | Week 7 Recap | The BFW Show 10.17.26

College football delivered an unprecedented and chaotic day of games that reshaped conference standings and exposed systemic flaws. The SEC experienced a complete collapse, with Tennessee defeating Alabama, Auburn beating Georgia, and other upsets shaking the power structure. BYU shocked the college football world by defeating Notre Dame in a dominant performance, fueled by standout quarterback Bear Mokmire, who improved their national ranking. Meanwhile, Texas’s downfall highlighted poor quarterback development, defensive struggles, and a lack of leadership under coach Steve Sarkisian. The Big 12 and ACC also saw major upsets, including Houston defeating Oklahoma State and Florida State narrowly losing in a dramatic, Hail Mary-filled finale against Miami. The day underscored how the NIL transfer portal has flattened talent hierarchies, leading to increased parity and unpredictable outcomes. Criticism of officiating, particularly in high-stakes moments involving flag calls and reviews, further emphasized the game’s volatility. The day’s intensity, emotional stakes, and chaotic results confirmed college football’s identity as a thrilling, unpredictable, and deeply engaging spectacle. From the loud field storms in Knoxville to the dramatic finishes in Provo and Atlanta, fans were treated to a weekend of unforgettable moments, resilience, and heartbreak—proving that the sport’s appeal lies not just in wins, but in its raw, unscripted chaos.

not of the year maybe of the last five years it was a fucking phenomenal day kept off i'm watching thousands of mormons yelling and jumping inside uh. level ever stadium I believe that's what it's called uh. just going crazy as they beat number dame twenty eight twenty four number two falls number three tried to fall number one fell everybody falls around here in college football and far be it from me to say anything about the twenty fourteen play all but it is ironic i don't want to get into that tonight but is ironic that maybe the most chaotic day we've had in twenty years happens maybe one of the most kind of days ever happens after we had all the discourse about that this week whatever your thoughts about it you put that aside whether you're against me i'm against you who's against who doesn't matter we talked about it all week and now we get one of the most chaotic days ever i'm watching my third or fourth field storm of the day alabama goes down in Knoxville Tennessee Georgia goes down to the Auburn Tigers BYU beats Notre Dame Ohio State walks into Indiana beats the defending national champions over and over and over and only Miami survives Miami wins an overtime game and maybe they shouldn't have survived maybe they got a gift from the refs to get from the gods maybe force they got screwed multiple times we in bloodman come on in here bathe in this college football watch party that we have i it's just a special day of college football and i think you hit the nail on the head is it great irony that this happens as they try and expand the sport but let's put that to the side they could do whatever they want to try and and demeaning all is the word i'll use this sport devalue it we're going to watch we're sickos we're watching every snap and we're watching this theater play out snap by snap instant classic moment by instant classic moment prayer walker like twelve hours ago Nick Marsh was out of the house like this it's crazy it's crazy just a day a day that i will always remember a day that you've just got good stuff from the very beginning a day that again what a scene in provo uta look at i'm looking at the top ten right now number one loss number two loss number three one luckily number four one because they played number five number five loss number six loss number seven lost number eight just beat number two number nine one easily number ten one easily but up the top eight was fucking chaos and it was amazing and we knew we had six ranked matchups coming in this week and we knew we had potential but how often do you look at a slate and say my god this is going to be great in a minute turns out to be nothing but indiano Ohio State was like this perfect mixture of ugly gritty big ten crazy things happening and then the the 230 window was this chaotic collapsing of the top of the SEC the SEC was like a volcano just collapsing on to itself and now and then nicely you had Florida state Miami you have BYU you know name no name finally has to play for the first time this season they go on the road to get beat all I mean I'm just telling you I'm just telling you if you don't have goosebumps if you don't love this shit get the fuck out this is amazing we argue about it we yell about it we scream about it we call each other names about it but this is the reason why it just gets in your veins and it just it just it just delivers to the point that tonight delivered and was so unbelievable and I want to slow down I want to slow down and I want to go back to Ohio State Indiana because I worked that one down first I thought that was going to be the biggest game I think we got to start right here I think we got to start with BYU for first of all let me ask this question who's number one tomorrow like it's Miami right or there's BYU you jump him like the PYU you can't be number I know I know who's number one has to be Miami I think so Miami one is Miami one BYU to I'm gonna let the great voters at the AP figure this out I legitimately I think I think I think there's a reason to vote BYU number one there's a reason to vote Miami number one like somebody's got to figure out tomorrow what they value in college football or what what means what it means to them because you got a you're going to have a decision you're going to have a top 10 tomorrow I don't know what it's going to look like I haven't sat down and said who's who are my top 10 teams I want to do that after the show but it could be who the fuck knows how far is George is supposed to fall or should I say three touch your favorites I don't know I don't know what is your top 10 going to be I thought we might have to work through it later I everything I wrote I so let's start there let's start there first of all I would like to say something because this is important for the show and blood men bring your energy down real quick unfortunately I feel it is my responsibility to announce to the audience the tonight in Provo Utah we lost happy Frank this show was the home of happy Frank Fleming and every Monday night we got voicemails from Frank Fleming and every Monday night we smiled because Frank Fleming was happy but Frank Fleming is another name fan and he just watched his team once again fall short the second they're asked to go up against the team who can fight back we've lost Frank Fleming but we've gained another reason and way to make fun of Notre Dame we've gained another reason to point at him and poke at him and say every single time Marcus Freeman this team this this recently last year you had a two game schedule you went oh and two and then you cried about it you took your ball went home and this year I thought you were going to go 11 one or 12 and oh I thought you were going to go out there and assert your dominance and this defense and you all you've talked about is this defense and litter more in this great defense and be why you just kind of straight as you all night there was a third there was a period in third fourth quarter where Notre Dame's defense was pretty good but otherwise be why you had no problem scoring pair botmire with one of the great individual performances you'll ever see a couple of rushing touchdowns a receiving touchdown a throwing touchdown including the game winning passing touchdown with about two minutes left but Notre Notre Dame Liam every single time every time with Notre Dame they figure out a way not to win this game I I I I don't I don't know I'm out of loss for words they're 10 and a half point favorites and we all just kind of expected them to walk into Probo which is such a dangerous place to play and and assert themselves and the win in that dominant defense gets shredded by bear mokmire and we're talking all week like bear mokmire 17 and two in this BYU career unbelievable he's now 18 and two how many big wins he got that signature victory and this is all BYU continues to do they doesn't matter who they play doesn't matter if they're playing one of the best teams in country if they're playing a male the back big 12 team they seem to find themselves in tight buck clenching fourth quarters and Kalei Sataki seems to every time find the way to uplift them and find the win they are improbably incredible up in Probo it's crazy well he's not just 18 and two but this time I feel like he's won some games especially recently he won a game throwing for 60 yards a couple of weeks he's he's won some games despite not being all that good but tonight he was great he outduled CJ car he was fantastic and and then in the fourth quarter he goes he takes him right down and he throws the game when he touchdown on third and goal but whether he has to run it or receive it or whatever he has to do bear mokmire was making plays this is still a young guy it's still a young quarterback and he's out doing CJ car on national television and and he's
Frankly overcoming he's overcoming some massive mistakes by BYU like BYU let Notre Dame back in the game with their special team from his house. One being a fumble was that's going to happen and the second being one of the worst fake punch you'll ever see in your entire life they try to fake a pun on their own 25-yard line they didn't get it and Notre Dame had short fields both times there in the second half Notre Dame ends up taking the lead early in the fourth quarter of midway through the fourth quarter but BYU doesn't flinch they stare right back at him and they go down the field they score shout out CJ car he let Notre Dame down the field in the last drive just ran out of time ran out of space but just a phenomenal football game and and if today is any indication and I don't care there will be a lot of people here saying the SEC sucks with this kind of sucks that today's any indication across the country almost uniformly shit went crazy shit went crazy whether it was the SEC whether it was in the big 12 with BYU Notre Dame whether it was a ACC with Miami and Florida State whether it was in the big 10 with that crazy Indiana Ohio State game shit went crazy all across the the land today like it was almost uniform that that whatever crazy thing had happened it happened and shout out to BYU huge win they're going to jump up to at least to I think they'll be one or two we'll discuss how far Notre Dame falls probably not very far they lost a road game at BYU but I do want to go back and start where I was originally going to start there let me let me read that and then we'll go we're going to go to Indiana and Ohio State to start to start off this show proper cost football season is here we are in it and we are headed towards Vegas baby that is where this all ends up that is where the championship is and why not spend some time in Vegas leading up to it there's no better place on Saturday you imagine sitting in Vegas with great food and lobster and caviar whatever I don't know what you be eating in Vegas but anyway you got great food you're sitting at the pool you're watching beautiful people and you're watching gigantic screens and the weather's nice and you're just watching this chaos happen all around you it's all about Vegas visit Las Vegas dot com check it out there's no better place to watch college football then Las Vegas fans can turn every game day into a full on trip you got the sports book energy the poolside screens golf between kickoffs and packed venues to make every Saturday feel like a championship moment the ultimate away game we can visit Las Vegas dot com to find out there's no better place to spend your Saturdays let's go back to the beginning and that is Indiana Ohio State this morning a weird ugly game where both quarterbacks I thought played D plus games one ended up getting hurt and and kind of you know casting a question mark over the next couple of weeks for his team that's Julie and saying but ultimately you know when the game came down to it if you boil this thing down to one little thing allow States wins 19 15 but what really happened was one of the teams caught their miracle fourth down for heave and the other one didn't keep a foot in balance that's what it came down to on fourth and one Ohio State trying to score take the lead they just throw up a prayer to Jeremiah Smith he stands up there high points the ball grabs it scores a touchdown Julie and saying just flutter it up there and he went and got it Josh who were kind of the same thing threw it towards the sideline Nick Mars gets it I don't know maybe blames a bad word because it's a cause football is hard and and completely that past hard I don't know if you want to blame the quarterback for throwing it a little bit too far towards the out of bounds line or Nick Mars for really not showing that much where with all in that much you know IQ in that spot where he just kind of he didn't drag his foot he didn't seem like he knew he was going out of bounds he just kind of hovered and step with his left foot out of bounds it's a tough play he's a great receiver but is there any doubt Jeremiah Smith makes that catch Liam no Jeremiah Smith guys that with those eyes open yeah yeah like that's that's it's just a bizarre now then you also got the the officiate now I don't know if I'm going to have a whole segment only officiating but across the country was bad today it was really bad in this game the roughing the pastor was terrible and then if that touchdown had been caught if Nick Mars had caught that ball there were like six uncalled holding on Indiana on that play it was an all out blitz maybe not all outlets but it was a pretty heavy blitz and Ohio State was getting there and they just grabbed on to whatever they could and the rest didn't call anything but you know Julian saying wasn't good Josh Hoover wasn't good he was 20 of 40 he ended up 296 yards I believe but he wasn't good he was the way too many ugly passes sailed so many balls over the middle of the Ohio State defense where you had Charlie B running free you had Nick Mars running free and so often and I know they're good defenses and I know you're facing a lot of pressure but you don't transfer there to play bad defenses you don't transfer to not have pressure you transfer there to have the pressure and Josh Hoover just kept sailing the balls he wasn't good enough to win the game Julian saying saying was barely good enough to win the game what did you make of it you're muted Josh Hoover hasn't thrown the interception this season he threw about seven today that they picked off he is very fortunate to have not thrown this game away Julian saying was terrible before he got hurt turtleed off and really just I don't know how I come away with this game where where I could be high on either team I feel like I was going mad the entire game I know I texted you a few times in the mostly chat like both teams deserve to win but both teams deserve to lose it was a slot fest I know the defense work the run defense were good but like if I'm looking forward to this for a Ohio State weren't weren't a paradox in college football brand and where so many of these teams do not have QB 2's that are ready to go insert themselves into a football game no fucking can't QB can't play football no fucking can dude unreal pretty like this this yeah yeah yeah you get I'm sorry I saw spot there indirectly is is an epidemic across the sport was a Ohio State going to do the overcome this that's why I ordering that so much praise for going out why do you think of the kid doesn't matter for going out again or I will stop to be a great move the kids not good but at least they had someone prepared with experience Ohio State shoots themselves in foot they don't have a guy these are two of the better defenses either these teams will will face valid I'm still I'm still disappointed Indiana can't run the ball they couldn't run it against Nebraska they they can't run it and and in last year I know Mendoza was great and had the great highlights but they they were built by their defensive line making you cry and they're running game just pounding you into submission they can't do it this year and Ohio State can't really do it either so when Julian saying isn't isn't good and he isn't great the lack of a run game to keep the chains moving kind of exacerbates that and then he puts more pressure on himself and then he's trying to force the ball to Jeremiah Smith and then he's throwing picks and he's leading to a seven yard TD drive for Indiana so the offensive play definitely miles behind what you would expect but the defense the defenses are very good and there's no doubt the defenses are very good but again you don't recruit Jeremiah Smith and Julian saying and every five star in the sun to struggle throwing the football and and for whatever reason Julian saying in these big games throughout his career so far Ohio State has not been very good and they don't play to go ten and two and hopefully you know get a nice playoff spot they play to win national championships every single year and I don't know if he's playing a national title level but now now they got to figure something out Ryan Dees got to figure something out of this backup quarterback or something over the next couple of weeks because the schedule's pretty unrelenting for them let's uh let's move on oh can I just can I just say something I'll say it later I'll say it in the what are we doing I'm gonna say it in the what are we doing okay okay I'm gonna say something right now and it's a preview of what's to come I thought the games that we saw today were incredible college football I thought the officiating we saw today across the sport was lacking I thought the commentary across the sport was pathetic oh oh oh I thought it was fucking terrible Chris Fowler and I nerd him be by you there's a well to be a game of swinging interception the fourth quarter or a Notre Dame guy is all over all over the BYU defender any any stand there and he catches the ball hits him right in the chest and Chris Fowler said oh nice kiss by BYU first intent and it's like no that hit the Notre Dame guy right in the chest are they not watching like I understand they've got monitors but I'm watching the same thing they're watching in their monitor why can't they see that Chris Fowler was bad and then we got others we got others that were bad including in the what are we doing and just a little bit all right um the SEC chaos I don't know that we we pull this down one by one but we definitely acknowledge it from the top so Tennessee takes down Alabama and not only takes down Alabama beats the living shit out of Alabama just took their will to live suffocated them just it could have been worse it was 26 to 10 Alabama's one touchdown drive I believe was on a short field like I know Alabama fans enjoyed a couple of weeks ago when I got embarrassed and they beat Mississippi State 5623 and they all DME or they all said things like I thought we played soft football I thought came into board played soft West Coast football and the second that game ended and I had to endure all that because I'm the real hero here the second that game ended they've done nothing but play soft West Coast football ever since and they go in a Knoxville today after losing last week they go in a Knoxville and Tennessee just thumps them right on the skull there's nothing they can do about it 159 yards for the show
own bishop. Um Kielum Russell was bad and and just, you know, that Heisman campaign is up in smoke. That's over that that five minute window where we thought he was the best quarterback in the country. Uh, we can we can get rid of that now. But this is the bore football. This is killing the bore football. When they play in Mississippi state, when they play a team, they have a talent advantage. They're going to look like a million bucks. But when a team can smack them in the face, like Indiana and the playoffs, Oklahoma a couple of years ago, 24 to 3 Oklahoma last year in Tuscaloosa, when a team has the physicality and the capability to stand across the line of scrammage and pop them in the face. They wither and they they just they can't do anything. That's who Alabama football is right now. That is the truth. And Tennessee, since we're here, I had Tennessee is the most overrated team in the country. They were number 14. I said, that is ridiculous. There's nothing about this team should be number 14. They don't have a quarterback. Well, he's kind of showed up today. George McIntyre. I saw him struggle against Arkansas. I said, why are they ranked? We see why they're ranked. They just went out and kicked Alabama's ass. I was completely wrong about Tennessee. They came out. That defense is incredible. One tough five defenses in the country. And they smoked Alabama. It's absolutely whipped them from pillar to post. And another great scene there in Knoxville, Tennessee, with the, the field storming Liam. I think Neelan Stadium after a big win, especially when they beat Alabama and their underdogs. I think that's the cool scene in the sport and the regular seas. I think is so wholesome, so beautiful. Everyone rushing the field lying up. There's the guards. The, the songs playing like everything blends so perfectly. It's such a great culmination of college football. With that being said, there was a blood shed all over the battlefield today. It was a gory ugly scene. That was like a, you're 11 years old and you're playing your four year old brother and rock 'em sock 'em robots. And the brother doesn't know the controls. Doesn't know how to click what to do. That was Alabama. They got popped in the mouth. Every single rep branded. I was with you. I thought Tennessee was grossly overrated. I thought they were fringe top 25 team. I didn't think offensively that they would be able to do much at all against top teams. While I was very, very wrong there. They did what they needed to do. The thing I'm most proud of and most impressed by with Tennessee, that game could have completely went down the wrong way. The avalanche after the special teams blunder by a freshman. And then they hold the Alabama off from scoring a touchdown. It's a great resilient moment that really pushed them forward the rest of the game. 347 yards for Tennessee. 201 yards for Alabama. 201 yards. You lose in that big spot last week and your response is to go on the road and get 200 yards. That's pathetic. That's who came to the board is at Alabama. And it ain't my fault. It ain't my fault. Meanwhile, if Georgia beat Alabama twice, Alabama actually came back and beat Georgia today because those two teams both came out of that game and laid massive eggs in the next game. Now I give Georgia less of a pass here for coming out flat because they were up 14 to nothing in this game. They were up 14 to nothing against the team. Auburn who has a quarterback who can't throw. Brown Brown Brown can't throw at the SEC level. He's got seven interceptions already this year. He threw for 140, 50 yards today. But he can't really throw. And they're down 14, nothing. But Goalish and Brown and Auburn to their credit knew how new what to do and knew their strengths. He ran when he ran 19 times or something like that. 126 yards. They just kept pounding it, pounding it, pounding it again kept for 26 times for a hundred and whatever yards. But he was, he just kept running it, kept running it, kept running it. They take the lead. I thought the the resilience by Auburn, but they take the 24/14 lead. You know, Georgia's going to have a punch and you know, Georgia's going to fight back. And Georgia does that. They kept it 24/17. Then they get the ball back. Gunner Stockton has a brilliant drive where he, I think he's five of six, maybe six of six goes all the way down the field 24/24. You force Auburn to punt. You're going to win the game. Georgia's going to win the game. Nice try, Auburn. Good to see you. Go home, whatever. You're not rolling to him or scoring today. And then Auburn's defense stands up. Gunner Stockton with if I gave him credit last week for always making the play to win the game. He made the play to lose the game today. He's just holding the ball like a loaf of bread, moving up in the pocket. It gets slapped away from behind. Auburn goes 20 yards. They win the game. And if you gave me, um, Marty McFly's time machine and you were able to come pick me up last Monday and drive me to this moment. And I looked around and I said, and I see that Notre Dame lost the BYU. And I see that Indiana lost a higher state. And I see that Tennessee beat Alabama. And then I see Auburn beat Georgia. I would stop right there. I was like, whoa, okay. Well, obviously this is bullshit. This is that didn't happen. Auburn to beat Georgia. Auburn and walk into Athens and win. And they did, Liam. And now the SEC, the top of the SEC has cratered and collapsed. And what's left is an absolute apocalyptic mess of like nine teams that are going to go through holy war the next six weeks. The top of the SEC has fallen and it fell today. It's, we said for years, right? Everyone in the industry has said for years, it's the NFL and it's the SEC. If the SEC is going to be the NFL, then then we got to come to terms with it. There's going to be a ton of parity. There's going to be teams win games that they shouldn't win teams losing games that they shouldn't lose. And today in the SEC felt like the NFL felt like the AFC South or NFC South or something where they're disease. These results that don't make sense. But hey, it's okay. We could group ourselves and we'll get better and learn and go on and on and down the road. I can't believe this result though, Brandon. Like, legitimately, you talk about Marty McFly back to future stuff. I like, this is like a great mirage to me. Like I, I'm dying of thirst. I'm seeing that that this is ain't no way, ain't no way. It's too good to be true. How Auburn is able to win at Georgia, but Byron Brown, who legitimately cannot throw the football. We have said all season is not an SEC quarterback and they go and they do it all week. You and I are glazing understocked. How many corebacks will we rather have than them? Not me. Less than a handful. He had to be concuss today. He had to be concussed. Uncharacterized speeches. And then lastly, in the SEC, and we're doing, you know, not lastly, because Ole Miss beat the shit out of Missouri and Kentucky went on the road, beat Oklahoma. Bell. Yeah. So, so I was very right about one of those very wrong about the other one, but there's Florida going to Texas. And you want to talk about in this league. And the NFL is a week to week league, right? You cannot be surprised by any result in the NFL. And the bills can go beat Seattle and then come home. They lose to the Jets. It's just something that can happen. It's just a crazy, crazy world like that. When you get 32 teams, they're all right about the same. Well, this NIL transfer portal has flattened the curve and college football and no longer can Georgia and Alabama get five stars on their three deep and just throw in the craziest five star you've ever seen with five seconds left in the game. It can't do it. It doesn't happen anymore. Instead, now, everybody in the SEC has risen a little bit and they've all got a puncher's chance. And Florida beat Texas. Florida. Florida, who lost by three touchdowns of South Carolina. Florida, who got beat to sleep by Missouri. Florida, who was on their backup quarterback. And in Texas, who loses to Oklahoma and you think, okay, well, this is a get right spot. At least they have Florida coming in. Archer, play well and everything. Coming into the season, there was the thought among people that I know. It sounded like paint now. I'll just say agents agents thought. If Sark didn't get to the playoff this year, Texas would look real hard, real hard and making a change because if you can't get to the playoff this year, what are you doing? With the amount of money they spent on the roster with the amount of money they they've got out there with archmaning, four years, haven't developed them at all. And now here we are. Two losses in a row. Two losses to teams. You shouldn't be losing to. Two losses to unranked teams. It's a bad, bad loss. You have to question Sark. You have to question Arch. You're in the fourth year of arch. He's gotten no better. He throws 147 yards today. He has the big fumble there in the fourth quarter to basically lose the game. And Sark is helpless. He does nothing. He does nothing to help anybody. He goes out and gets cam goman and gets win go. He's got two of the best receivers in the country. It doesn't matter. No matter how much they spend, whatever reason. Sark holds them back. Art holds them back. Texas just isn't special. Liam, what is wrong? I'm not surprised by this result because of how sour I am on Texas. They are so lucky. They're not three and three or two and four. Like it genuinely they are so lucky that they came back and beat the Iowa State and were able to hang on for dear life against Tennessee. Sark is the horrendous job with arch banding. All fault. It falls on both of them. You've been saying it falls on both of them. The run game is not that good. It's all on the defense. Well, calling them and gets hurt. That's a disaster. They're just not. You could spend all the money you want. This is why I was saying the beginning of the year going in, man. Too many egos. You have too many people want the ball. You have two main people who are going to talk, talk, talk with each other. It's not a good marriage. None of this is healthy. None of this is good. Texas being a dud is not surprising. They're not top 15 team in this country and they lose again. Shocker. Sark should be out. He should be looking for his way out too. Imagine. Imagine I brought to you a $2 million race car. Just the prettiest, shiniest race car you've ever seen chrome all over the wheels of shining and it looks like, oh my god, this machine. This is an incredible machine. I put it there and I put it in your garage and I say, all right, drive it.
When you get in the driver's seat and the leather just, you know, sucks you up and then you feel and you do the mirrors and you're like, oh yeah, put your sunglasses on, I'm about to go. And you turn the key and you're like, what doesn't work? There's, and you look and there's no engine in the car. There's no engine. It's a beautiful racing machine with no engine. And one of the two people, Sark or Arch, has to be the engine and they're not. They're fucking, maybe they team up with the engine, they're not. You can look at the stats of Archmaning. You can look at the stats like today, 147 yards, no, no picks and you think, oh, he wasn't that bad. But then you watch him, if reading his stats and then watching him are two totally different lifestyles because if you watch him, something's obviously missing. He doesn't have football IQ, he doesn't have killer instinct, he doesn't have something bare-buck mire tonight for BYU. Did you see that? Did you see when he got the ball in the fourth quarter? Did you see when they threw the ball back to him on that, uh, that double pass? Did you see the way he attacks football? Arch doesn't do it. And Sark doesn't do it either. It's garbage. If I'm a Texas fan, I'm pissed at the whole thing. I'm blown it up. I'm saying Sark out, Arch out, whatever, just just, and what does it say for Sark? That of the eight hundred overall recruits in history, he's had two of them two quarterbacks, Quinn, yours and Arch and they both got worse under his due diligence. They both got worse from the time they started to the time they left Texas. It's a man. This is this cake. It's what I'm trying to say. Where's Texas go from here, brother? How many wins do they get? I, that's a, that's a story from Monday. I was thinking about this. You can look at the rest of the SEC and you can come up with your opinions, but what are those opinions worth? Not a goddamn thing. Like, Ole Miss today, 31 to three, 31 to three, they beat Missouri, they look like they fix their defense. Do you be shocked if Texas beat Ole Miss? No. Would you be shocked if Oklahoma beat Ole Miss? No. Would you be shocked? Yeah. No, I wouldn't be shocked if anybody beats anybody. I can't believe it. Auburn beat Georgia. Auburn beat Georgia? I can't believe it. Auburn beat Georgia. Auburn beat Georgia. I have, for whatever reason, this is a week-to-week league this year and we're going to have a mess of nine and three teams in a few weeks. We'll worry about that when we get there. All I know is if you don't have Camario Taylor and Fluff Bothwell, you're fucking doomed. And I don't think any game should count if you don't have those two guys. And I have sent my petition to the SEC, Sanky's supposed to get back to me tomorrow morning, but it shouldn't count. Shouldn't count. This episode was also brought to you by Tony's famous Cajun kick. Today was a, I hesitate to get into the conference stuff because a lot of people were saying, "Oh, the SEC's down. I don't know if today's result indicates the SEC's down." It just indicates that the entirety of the SEC is pretty close together. But I will say, the big 12 had a day. The big 12 had a hell of a day. Would be why you beat Notre Dame, and then Texas Tech, looking like Texas Tech, supposed to look like Texas Tech, all of a sudden, looked like you would have expected them to look. They went 53 to something over Arizona State. Arizona State's not any great shakes, but still, they haven't looked that good at all in the BYU with the biggest win for the conference in a while. So huge, huge, huge day for the big 12. Where else will we get? I want to do Miami, Florida State. All right. So we've got about 9 or 10 takes here from teams and games. Then we'll get to our categories and our awards, and they are going to be extensive tonight. Yeah. So do you have something to show you that you haven't seen yet that happened in the BYU Notre Dame game? I'll see that. I'll watch that right now. Do you have it ready? Okay. Luke, do you have this ready? I sent it to you on the Twitter. I don't like YouTube, but man, heaven, secrets and surprises. No, not secret nor surprises happened. It started to come out after a game ended, and you are well within your flow. I felt like this was a good time to bring it up. Okay. Obviously Notre Dame loses to Miami tonight. We've got it. Looks like Notre Dame should have had time for one fall. Oh my God. Oh my God. Ball hits it. Ball hits it. It's a ground one second. Now, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I see that. The, the, the play clock operator or the clock operator must have been slow in the draw because that was a, that was a first and goal from the five, right? The four. And that was a, that was a route to the back of the end zone. There's no way. I don't think that would have happened. I don't think that would have happened snapped to, to ball in three seconds. Without taking three seconds. Four seconds. Let's see. In no way. Kind of late to pull the trigger off the snap. I mean, but every angle they show, there's a second left. I'll tell you another thing. If there's ever a team, I'm not going to be sad for it. It's a Notre Dame fight in Irish, all right? You finally, you finally place somebody under schedule worth a damn. You go out there and lose. I'm not going to cry for you. So that's what it is. All right. Let's go through some other takes here. Houston beats Oklahoma State. Well, I assume Houston beat Oklahoma State. Everything went crazy. 35, 32 was the final score of the big 12 taking shape. Actually, I kind of overran my point here. I wanted to make the point that the big 12 had a good day. I already set it a little bit, but Houston beats Oklahoma State. As that conference continues to ramp up and get more and more exciting coming down the stretch of the season, big one for Houston Liam. Yeah, I didn't really see any of this game. I was preoccupied with a lot of the other ones going on UCLA, Miami, and the Notre Dame BYU. You won. I know Houston's passing attack is lethal. And a Mari Tom has made a few big time plays. He's incredible. Like, they're a good team. I wish that Houston, Texas Tech had gone played when both teams were humming. Yeah. It's that early in the year, but I know you were watching your team and other games tonight. Are you aware that Notre Dame, North Dakota State, Jackson Williams had 109 yard kicks six tonight? Yeah. Saw it. It was very poetic to happen. So Jackson Williams from North Dakota State had 109 yard kicks six tonight. And we, of course, know the great play of all time Chris Davis with the kicks six. But if you take away the stakes and the fact that game mattered and this game was a, you know, in October and just look at aesthetically, it was a prettier kicks. It's unbelievable kicks six. He gets it at the, the back of the end zone. He runs out. He juke the guy like the three yard line. He has to weave and dodge and do this. Chris Davis just ran to the sideline or out ran all the fat guys from Alabama. But if you haven't seen this play, probably the play of the day in color football, an amazing, amazing, amazing play from Jackson Williams in North Dakota State, Ole Miss killed Missouri. 31, 3. I take a lot of lumps because of how wrong I am. I sniff Missouri out from the start, man, Missouri. That was so easy to see. They were getting over talked about Austin Simmons was getting over talked about. They beat Florida who was due at loss and they beat a reeling A&M and people acted like they were a playoff team. They're not. They're, they're okay. They're okay. They're towards the lower end of the SEC. And I, I get it. My team's towards the lower end of the SEC. Probably around that 10 to 12 range. But like Ole Miss meanwhile, if you see all the chaos happening around them, their defense was so bad the first three or four weeks. Well, the last couple of weeks, their defense was good against Vandy and great today. If they fix that defense with Georgia coming down a little bit, Texas coming down a little bit, everybody coming down. Also, no, Miss looks more like a playoff container than they did like five days ago, Liam. Yeah. Ole Miss's rush defense today was terrific. They got an A plus grade for me on the blunt model. I really thought that this is going to be a higher scoring game with both teams trading blows. It just wasn't the case. You have to give all the credit in the world. Ole Miss defense were stepping up like good for Pete Golding. Finally, Gan, that you went to do something, man. Their offense is too good to go to waste. I want to talk to Randy Mountain one. Why were so many teams overrated this year? I miss guilty of saying teams are overrated as anybody else. But the truth is, getting falling in love with the rating in this area of college football is where you go wrong and make a mistake. The sport has compressed to a level where it is now the lowest low and highest high are very, very thin. It is not these teams are so much closer than they have ever been in the history of college football, especially in the SEC. Georgia and Alabama used to have such a roster advantage because of what they would do to go get that roster and how good they were at it. And they had such a roster advantage. They would have a national title worthy team in their three deep. Their third string was incredible. And now with NIL transfer portal, everybody has access to this talent and it is more spread out. And guys aren't going to ride the bench for three years at Georgia and Alabama. They're just not. They're going to go get 1.5 million and play it Kentucky, they're going to do these things. So you can say everybody is overrated, but what has happened is the bottom is caught the top. [BLANK_AUDIO]
It's a beautiful, it results in beautiful chaos and it's unbelievable, unbelievable. LSU killed Mr. B. State 31-0, I thought Lane Kiffin was a good person, apparently he's not. I texted him and I said that Lane can play this game in January and he didn't answer me because I don't have his number. But yeah, I think that I thought that was a low class move by Lane Kiffin to play this game and he shouldn't have. And most people would have waited until tomorrow, I don't have that guy. Michigan wins. They beat Penn State who cares that they beat Penn State, the bigger deal. Liam Blutman is the Bryce Underwood era over at Michigan. Yeah, all credit in the world to him for being a great teammate and hyping Tommy Carr up. But it didn't matter if Tommy Carr was throwing the ball well or not. He made some good throws. He really did. What mattered is Michigan's offense was humming without Underwood in the game. And they weren't always efficient by what I mean by that is they were playing harder to offer for each other more. It felt like they were playing football with the purpose. It really did. And you know, they scored 21 points off of Penn State turnovers and I later I'm going to let Penn State is truly awful. They are truly awful. Really bad, they had an opportunity when they decided that the James Franklin years of going ten and two and nine and three weren't going enough. They had an opportunity to make a statement say this is Penn State and this is who we are. We're going to go out and get the coach. It doesn't do that. And they went out and got a perennial seven and five coach and it's one of the all time. What the fuck what? You broke up with an eight to data six. Like what why would you why would you do that and that's where Penn State is. Michigan's still not great, but you know, defense is going to keep them interesting until maybe Tommy Carr, you know, now that he gets, if he gets QB1 reps in practice, he gets better and better each week. Is he a true freshman or a rich or a freshman? He's true, right? I think he's true. Yeah, he wasn't in the class or Bryce and Bryce is a sophomore. So he's true freshman. Anyway, moving along, we've got, I have a show announcement. I have a, actually, I have a studio update. I have to make. I said a couple of weeks ago that I was going to put this Arkansas helmet here and I wasn't going to move it until they won an SEC game. New in my mind that meant two to three years of dust would accumulate on this and I would be able to padded every now and then and hilarious dust piles would come off of it like pig pin. I thought this would, I thought we would go through the years and you would see my young son Tommy standing here with the Arkansas helmet and then here and then here. And now he's a grown man and his kid comes in and the Arkansas helmet is still there, but instead because I announced that Arkansas helmet will get removed when they win an SEC game. I hope my ass cracked it and show there. Congratulations to the hogs, you have won an SEC game. You have beaten the Vanderbilt Commodores, shout out to Silverfield, shout out to Arkansas. I know I'm mocking it, but really is a good breakthrough for them. They were close last week against Tennessee. You can see they were getting better, but they ended up winning this game today. Yep, Diego Povie is campaigning for last year's Heisman and Kentucky goes on the road and beats Oklahoma Oklahoma just doesn't come through with the, you know, my hope when I saw them plus 800 for the playoff was talented defense, very good number. If I can get a couple of wins in a row, they get rolling downhill and look out. But they had to be they had to be Kentucky first and they they they didn't will sign goes on the road ugly low scoring game, but they win. That's all that matters geometry are truly, truly terrible at playing college football and I congratulate him on his career effort as he throws with 367 yards and seven touchdowns next weekend. Starfall Brandon, yes, I want to do a look ahead, but November 7, Kentucky at Tennessee. Again, I think Monday, Monday might just need to be a look ahead and in all facets, because in the big 10 like Ohio State is their best team and he said they're sitting on top of the sport, right? Well, they have backup quarterback, they already have a loss and they got USC and Oregon coming up on the schedule. Oregon is pretty much in score, huh? I think they'll look at the Oregon score right now. What is the Oregon score? Just zero, zero slopfest. Oregon is terrible and awful and crazy. If Dante Moore comes back, they go on the road. They're playing a backup quarterback in so high of state, like looking forward in the big 10, all of a sudden, it's just fascinating to to to extrapolate in the SEC, my God, all of these teams are so close together. They're just going to keep playing in different combinations, like Texas is going to play. Texas going to play everybody Texas plays everybody that's still good, it feels like everybody plays Oklahoma plays our Ole Miss plays Texas, I'm scattered brain, excuse me, but they all play as what I'm trying to say, let me do an ad and then we're going to get to our categories chat Louisville fans smell bad says four five five four. Thank you very much. A lot of Kentucky fans here, a lot of Kentucky fans here, which I believe is indicative of what this season is and this season has been one of the most humbling I've ever seen in college football right now, it's a Kentucky fans are swarming us right now, just talk about willstein talk about willstein talk about willstein and a couple of weeks when they get beat and get they get embarrassed by somebody. It'll come back around and it'll be somebody else, it was Missouri last week, they're all over the place and then Tennessee is going to be here like the tumbling, it's just a non-subcycle humbling in that league and it's coming around for everybody, but will sign his fantastic, I will say that he is fantastic, I'll do this one right here. Reese's winner of the week, Reese's, this candy right here, this delicious candy Reese's cups are the best candy on the market, I love getting them on road trips, you know, stopping getting your water and a Reese's and just getting on down the road, you guys know Reese's, you know what it takes like that delicious treat of chocolate and peanut butter, I have to tell you that they're the official candy partner or bar soul sports, we have the Reese's room, the others. The other day my son, my 11 year old son was at work and he says, Dad, can I go to the Reese's room? I said, son, as long as I'm Brandon Walker and I'm your father, yes, you can go the Reese's room, we're going to get you some candy and we walked into the room or he walked in the room, he came back, he said, there's somebody in there, I said, what there's, there's a grown man in the Reese's room. Yeah, he's watching TV, I said, who's who is watching TV in the Reese's room and I went in the Reese's room and Liam, do you remember who was sitting there watching TV. Is that where you, is that where you watch TV? On Thursday afternoons, I, I go into the Reese's room, I watch the Wednesday night episode survivor and I take like an hour an hour an app break for myself. I go back downstairs, I get right for Thursday night football. Is that such a bad thing to do? Who was the Reese's winner of the week? Me and Liam, we both have a bite at this Reese's Cup right here. I'm going to say the winner of the week, the most impressive team for me. I had it written down as one team, but I have to switch it based on the night's action. It's definitely BYU. It's BYU at home, beautiful scene and provo, gigantic crowd. Everybody watching you, everybody looking, BYU's needed a chance to prove themselves for a couple of years now. And it's kind of gone wanting because they've run up against Texas Tech a couple of times, but this time they get BYU in there or they get Notre Dame in there, excuse me, Notre Dame comes in and they handle them, they take care of business from snap one all the way up until the fourth quarter, then they fall behind. And what do you do when you fall behind? You get up, you fight back and your quarterback, Barack Meyer comes back, you win the game terrific win by BYU, they're going to jump up to the top three in the country, no doubt. They are my Reese's winner of the week. Liam, who's your Reese's winner of the week? I'm going to go, I got like, I'm stuck here. I'm going to go Josh Hyple. I think he's heard a bit of noise surrounding his name is future at Tensey and all he did today was lays nuts on table, come away with a big time statement, win, put yourself in the thick of the SEC race. That's what it's all about. Beautiful scene and knocks well, loved every second. It's so called that up. That's the beautiful stuff that makes college for college football, shout out to Josh Hyple. Yeah, it was incredible. And I've got another one. I've got a, what do I have? Oh, my most badass thing is from this game. My most badass thing I saw all day is from Tennessee and Alabama. So I will hold off. But obviously if you think about it, you know, as far as the Reese's winners of the day, Tennessee is a great one. Thumping Alabama the way they did Auburn, Auburn getting off the mat and going over to Georgia and beaten not only winning a big game and beat number one, but doing it is your rival. Like beating the team that you hate, one of the teams that you hate, you hate Alabama, you hate Georgia and you go over there and you beat them. BYU is another one. Florida State was this close to being a team that was the winner of the week. They were this close and maybe the refs kind of screwed them on that one. Speaking of, I was trying to get to later. I wanted to get to the Florida State Miami game. Well, now.
good a time as any. Florida Miami ends up winning 43 to 35 and they were up against it several times. They come back, um, Darien Mensa, almost said Kim Moore, Darien Mensa, 330 yards I think, but big time plays in the fourth quarter hits a touchdown to Malachi, Tony Malachi, Tony hits a two point conversion, uh, Malachi, Tony with two touchdowns on the night, they ended winning 43, 35, but the saddest part was Florida State fighting and fighting and fighting. They fell behind seven with 239 left immediately scored on 75 yard touchdown pass to tie it up. And then down 43, 35 in the second overtime. They hit basically a Hail Mary on third and 21 or fourth and 21, fourth and 21 games on the line. They throw a Hail Mary guy catches it boom, two point of version, you tie him, we're going to another overtime, but no, the rest don't let him have that opportunity. They call a very questionable holding call. They kill all momentum of that finish. They kill the game, fourth and 21 Hail Mary, throw the flags away. You're not calling holding on that ridiculous Liam, uh, completely agreed, man. They essentially just converted back to back, Hail Mary's and neither of them count the second one who we all know at the ball still. And then fourth and 31, they hit another Hail Mary. It's, it looks like it's in the guy's hands, the Florida State guys hands. He falls backwards, uh, Miami guys there to have it in his chest. They called an interception on the field and because they call it an interception on the field, I don't think they could overturn it. If they had called it a touchdown on field, they would have been able to overturn that. That's how stupid our replay rules are, but Florida State, I saw you, I saw you out there. Miami's going to be maybe number one or two in the country and they were this close to getting beat tonight. My Florida State, their rival at home, that game was crack, that game was unbelievable. Even not just saying that because Michael Irvin was there. Miami, Florida State Notre Dame, BYU made for maybe the best five minutes of college football this year. That's, that's how good that was at the end of those games. Um, the most depressing team of the daily and blood man, I'll let you go first. The most depressing team of the day, Brandon Walker. It has to be Texas. It just has to be Texas again. And I'm sorry for like picking on them constantly. But when the product you continue to put out, isn't even close to being up to standards up to par. I've got to rip you. Steve Sarkiesian does not understand how to develop a quarterback we've seen with yours. We see it with arch archmaning, the guy computes us such a slow level, man. There was what you could rip them apart for so many things today. There's a third and one and he runs out of bounds and takes the sack, puts up my fourth and two. Like, there's just the little things that he doesn't understand. So Texas fans, I feel for you. You invested so much money into this roster. You put your faith into this head coach who there was friction with last season and this season he's doing nothing for you. And you're lucky to be forward to what the disaster. Yeah, it's bad. It's bad. Um, excuse me, I got several. It's running through the ones that are depressing in my mind and not even just the ranked ones. Maryland lost the Rutgers. Can I say that again, Maryland lost the Rutgers. Yeah. Two weeks ago, actually 10 days ago, 10 days ago, Liam, maybe not 10 days ago, hold on. Two weeks and two days ago, however long that is, two weeks and two days ago, the PIP Panthers were 5 and 0. They were 5 and 0 had just beaten Virginia Tech had just survived and Pat and our dudes had got on the mic and said, Hey, you AP voters, you sexless shit. Maybe you'll notice how good we are now. You assholes. They have lost back to back. They don't have their quarterback anymore Mason Heinz, you'll very good quarterback. He's out. They lose last week and then they lose today, but at least today they lost to a great team like Miami. Nope. Nope. Check that. They lost to Boston College. Everyone then go ahead and other one that we picked on plenty, they're down 27, nothing at home on their. Hell. Yeah, sir. There. I don't know if you know what's going on with JKS. He took that hit to the head a few weeks ago, had the concussion. He came back to Cal. He passed up on so many NIL offers to go play elsewhere. There's rumors up in Berkeley that he quit on the team and doesn't want to play for Cal anymore. And it's headed somewhere else in 20 27 wants to secure the back. It's a disaster in Berkeley. The torschedlu poyerra really might be one and done. So you did interrupt my flow as I was just going through the litany of depressing teams, but you did so with a very depressing team of your own. So you win that round. Oklahoma's depressing. What was the point of beating, what the fuck you beaten Texas for, what the fuck you getting back in this thing for if you're just going to go out and let material ruin your season one more time against Kentucky, just a gross effort at home, Alabama, Alabama boy oh boy, your manhood is tested, your own the road, your manhood is tested. Tennessee's punching you and they're pushing you and they're kicking you in the dirt. And what do you do? Oh, I was going to lose 26 to 10, just a soft pillow soft football team from a pillow soft coach, just an embarrassing effort, but the answer, the answer, the answer is Texas, Texas is fucking depressing, losing to your rival is one thing coming home in a get right spot against the team that was reeling with their backup quarterback and then that happens. And all the money you spent was for nothing and all the hires you've made for nothing. You've got two star running backs that transferred in that are wasting the ends of their career with you. Hollywood, Hollywood smothers and relief brown wasting their time with you. Cam Coleman is wasting his time with Texas archmaning, where's he at Ole Miss next year? I, where's he going? Because in any Texas depressing at Texas, the hand up, I was wrong, award. I'll go first, the hand up, I was wrong, award. It's Tennessee and it's Tennessee by a mile. They barely beat Arkansas last week and it looked rough and I know they won the game. It looked worse than that. It was terrible and I thought this is the most overrated team in the country. I can't believe any of voters have them at number 14. They had face on Brandon, that's, that looks like it might be done. George McIntyre, he wasn't doing anything. Well, now he might be the guy. He might be the guy going forward because Tennessee, the most overrated team in the country according to Brandon Walker, goes out and smacks Alabama down, wins a top 15 matchup. They're going to be in the top 10 perhaps now and they have earned it and they did it with a defense that is fantastic. The defense is just relentless at every single level and then you've got to Sean Bishop who's going to run the ball and run it and run it and run it and he's just sitting there with the biggest arms you've ever seen in a running back just an absolute hulk of a running back runs for 160 yards and two touchdowns, Tennessee, I was hand up, I was wrong. Who's your hand up? I was wrong. One, I said Georgia could be the 130 FPS teams by double digits. The great genius caveat there created by Liam Blotman is we won't know. We won't know if that's right or wrong, but we know one thing, sir, Auburn and Alabama are two of the five or six teams that they want to be. Oh, you could think I'm smart. The real one is North Carolina's Chapel Bill. What? What? They're four and two. They go and they they they're up 17 or whatever on Duke and they and they find themselves in the thick of it down late in the second half in the fourth quarter and they still win it. All of a sudden, you and C is four and two and look so competent. What? Where is Jordan? Where is she been? Is that why they're good? Chapel Bill, man, I started noticing this couple of weeks ago there. I called him annoyingly competent like North Carolina isn't the best team in the country, but like they're not a joke, they're nothing to take lightly, they're nothing to sneeze at. HCC, if you don't bring your hard hat to play North Carolina, they're going to they're going to tap them titties. I mean, they're they're pretty good. They're pretty good. Elmite too. Well done. Well done. Let's do the top 10 players of the week award. I'll go ahead and go through mine. After I tell you about Reobey, actually, I'm going to tell you about Fox one. I'll say Reobey in just a minute. Fox one. It all goes down at noon. Big games. Big plays. And of course today we saw the biggest game, Ohio State Indiana, huge plays made by Nick Marsh, not making the big play and then Jeremiah Smith making the big plays. Jeremiah Smith had four catches for 63 yards and I feel like his grip on the Heisman didn't go away at all. Didn't even go away kind of. He technically had a down game. But just the way he caught that one ball to win it was just so so great. Big noon Saturday is streaming live on Fox one. You got rivalries. You've got upsets. You've got chaos. Whatever happens. You're watching it live football at noon streaming live on Fox one, watch three days free. Big noon Saturday live on Fox one, watch three days free offers a subject to change. See Fox one for complete terms and conditions. Let's see. These hillbillies think hospital ball isn't being played as we speak. No, I promise you Liam's watching it. Yeah. That was a that was a duck fan to that guy had duck in it. No, it says buck. I thought it said duck because if you're a duck fan, I don't think you want us watching the college football that's going on right now. I'm locked.
I was looking to Nebraska stats and Nebraska Oregon stats because I want to right now I think of Andrew and Nebraska quarterback is 10 for 17 with 76 yards and a pick and the Oregon quarterback Brock Thomas six for 15 with 30 yards and a pick that's 30 yards 615 with 30 yards with 423 to go in the second quarter. God bless you watching that game. It's not as pretty as it looks on the box score either. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here I here's the 10 players I wrote down top 10 players and call us for all today. Obviously there are a lot more some that I missed and maybe you will see that the bloodman has them. I don't know the number one player and call us football that I wrote down and I don't even have his stats. I can't tell you the stats. I could look in a minute. But the stats don't really matter. It's bare-buck Meyer. It's the same Meyer with two rushing touchdowns a receiving touchdown a passing touchdown brought his team back from a 24/21 deficit in the fourth quarter scores the game winner. I thought bare-buck Meyer was unbelievable really commanded the game out dueled CJ car bare-buck Meyer won my number one player of the week. I don't know the stats. Michael Hawkins who can't throw Michael Hawkins who cannot throw he can just run. Today through for 464 yards today Michael Hawkins the West Virginia quarterback accounted for 520 yards and four touchdowns 464 through the year. The Sean Bishop Tennessee 159 yards two touchdowns as they beat Alabama Byron Brown the 288 total yards three touchdowns as they take down Georgia and Athens. Jacobi Williams number seven Texas Tech 11 carries 165 yards two touchdowns Texas Tech wins 53 to 26 I believe or 53 to 16 maybe they absolutely destroyed Arizona State. They finally looked like the team everybody thought they were going to be Texas Tech is rounding into form. Sam Levitt for LSU in a game that did not count an exhibition game in Baton Rouge 289 yards four touchdowns should not have counted wasn't right. Number nine Tremel Jones Florida's quarterback the numbers aren't great. He had 155 yards two touchdowns in Iran for 41 but that doesn't matter. He went on the road as a backup commanded the team and every single time they needed to play in the fourth quarter the second half he did it he was fantastic. I might have said his name wrong and I apologize but he was fantastic. And lastly Liam if I said the name kale helms does that do anything for you. It does a lot for me. That's a warrior. kale helms I will say the word kale helms and the first person to tell me what school in the chat wins a thousand Liam bucks. A thousand Liam bucks on the line right now in chat kale helms am I eligible for Liam bucks. You're not eligible for Liam bucks now they're googling now they're googling. There's just fans as hold they have to Google well nobody wins a thousand Liam bucks because kale helms army today 25 carries a hundred and 95 yards. Five touchdowns as they kill FAU kale helms was fantastic 200 yards five touchdowns was great. Those are my 10 players who do I miss Liam. I want to give some shine to Aiden Chiles who gets a wacky that that ending to the Northwestern Michigan state game was loony tunes Aiden Chiles gets an emotional win against this former team happy for him. How about Evan Meadows does that name do anything for you. Not a damn thing Air Force quarterback Brando was a two of three for 18 yards. They run for 152 and three. Yup is either backup quarterback because Liam Sarka got hurt. Yup. So shout out to Mr. Metters. KJ Jeff Duff unbelievable. I mean the guy is a unicorn. Another two for him. He was number he was number seven. I don't know why I skipped him nine for 113 to touchdown. Sorry about that. No apologies to the guy. The guy is a freak show and Rutgers Rutgers is so lucky to have him or things will be so bleak. He lost today brand Syracuse lost today. Umari Hatcher had 13 catches for 224 and a touchdown. Do you know who was the quarterback throwing him the ball. Kale Helms Malachi Nelson. Oh my good. That Malachi Nelson. That Malachi Nelson and they lost Syracuse. Yeah. That Malachi Nelson the kid who don't practice the kid who don't show up well good for Malachi Nelson who was 26 of 39 today for 315 to touch on two great throws two picks two but like. I don't know that that was really cool to see Malachi Nelson tweets popping up and clicks of him throwing the rock after so many of us just throw him to the curb like it is cool to see that guy reclaimed something. And not throw it all way. The kids are great talent. Somebody says not surprising a show that gets time on Fox one admit to the rest of the game in favor of Ohio State before the end of the half. Um no they they they if anything. I thought the rest were handed slanted slanted towards Indiana. I mean that rough in the past or was awful and then there was a very questionable hole to kill the Ohio State driving first that but ultimately I don't think the rest were the reason Ohio State won or Indiana lost is Ohio State won because Ohio State is a better football team. Um moving on the I told you so award. I did the hand up I was wrong award I skipped the I told you to shoot you're right. Yeah is that okay. You're right. The I told you so award for me. Gather around children gather around I there's not a team in the world I've had more of a finger on the pulse of then Missouri I know everything about Missouri I've never been wrong about Missouri. And when everybody was putting a number of 13 in the country 12 in the country whatever it was I was saying now wait a minute. Wait a minute this quarterback isn't all that good. This team isn't all that good. This defense isn't that good. Stop. Stop. And they said no, Brandon you stop. We're right. They beat Florida for God's sake. They beat Texas A&M. Two huge wins. No. They're going to get smacked around. They're going to smacked around by Ole Miss and they went and got smacked around by Ole Miss. They hand up I was wrongs on the Oklahoma's on your own all your teams with Missouri pitch perfect I said it on this show pitch perfect what was going to happen so credit to me Liam who's your I told you so award. I hate that I'm being so thin with this but I cannot emphasize enough how impressive I don't care if it's been the hardest schedule in the conference or the worst or what it doesn't matter. This time is that Kentucky he got on a podium and said hey why why can Kentucky win because of me because of me and that told you all that you needed to know about willstein brand and I are very fortunate to both had elite conversations with this guy he I would die for him. He's not even my coach. I love this guy to death. He is a phenomenal football coach and just understands the sport at a clip that so many head coaches in their positions don't seem to grasp. I think where they run their touch and I believe to go up 21 13 if you look at the top of the screen watch I believe what the slot receiver does to pull the safety it's unbelievable will signs doing what a run for him. I love a man he so dang good job. The most badass thing I saw today Liam blood most of the most badass thing you saw in college football today. It's Alex Alex mixed fears and kicking the game winning field goal for Auburn we've talked about on this show before but he had ulcerative colitis in 2024 had the large intestine removed and part of his call they lost so much weight because of it. Watching him last year how skinny he was and still fighting through it and still kicking for him to get that moment today in Athens put them the sleep is just super super cool. Great genuine guy kicking family shout out Alex McPherson like that stuff rocks. The bad ass thing I saw today is not nearly as good as the one he just said but to me it was he's already referenced it but the scene at the end of Tennessee beating Alabama with a sea of orange on the field but not just the rushing the field and not just that awesome scene in the pictures from it but the pettiness of this robbery not only do they they argue about football and coaches and players and everything under the sun. I argue over a song Alabama plays Alabama's Dixie land to light every single game and Tennessee fans are like hey by the way that song is about Tennessee rolling down a backwards Tennessee by way one arm on the wheel and Alabama fans were like shut up no it's not. It's the best Alabama song Alabama sings they're for paying Alabama. Now what I just described to you was an absolute backwards toothless red neck argument between.
to SEC schools that only somebody like me would like. But I do like it. And today, when Tennessee beat Alabama's ass, they all got on the field, and what they play, they played Dixie Land of Light. Rolling down the backwards, Tennessee by way, one arm on the wheel, and they all sang it, and they all just stuffed it right now of Alabama's fan's face. It's the dumbest argument of all time. It's so stupid, and it's so petty, and it was so bad ass that they were all in that field singing that. Whew. And lastly, the what are we doing, award? What are we doing out here? I've got two, Liam. I've got two. If you want to go first, you can. If you take mine, though, here's the risk you run. If you take mine, I'm going to throw a shoe at you on Monday. Go first. OK, there's no lamerisk in the shoe throw. Are you can, Mark, I'll listen. And I was legit going to throw the shoe at you. OK, I have two. Number one. I already mentioned Chris Fowler being terrible tonight for ESPN, and basically making calls where it doesn't even sound like he's watching the fucking game. But I got to be fair, and I know we have Fox ties. Gus Johnson, you're at the game. You can see the kick on the field. You can't say pure when a kick is going to end up five yards short. It's a 55 yard field goal. I know you're watching the monitor and you're watching the same thing I see. But you have the ability to look out on the field and see that the ball is going to come up short. You can't say pure as the ball hits the end zone. That's a bad call. That's just a bad call. I'm not a Gus Johnson hater by any stretch of the imagination. But what are we doing? What are we doing? Play by play announcers. I know it's not the easiest job in the world, but it's easier than you guys make it sometimes. You guys want to call Chris Fowler. Didn't know an interception happened tonight. Gus Johnson didn't know the ball was coming up short when it was happening in front of him. What are we doing, guys? Let's just focus on what we're doing. I had one of that. Yes, Florida State Miami. The announcer calls it Deuce Robinson catches it. Nobody knew who had the ball, though. Well, I can't speak to that one because of how old I am. I don't know if you've seen the hell that I'm going through. But there's something in the YouTube TV algorithm. And I figured it out. I believe when games last longer than there are a lot of time on the guide, it just-- it fucks it up. So when I'm going back and forth and I go back to a game that's an overtime and it's no longer available on the guide, it chooses YouTube TV automatically puts me on an alternate broadcast. And I couldn't find the game broadcast. I watched the entire overtime from a blimp with some fat guy breathing into the mic. It was a bad, I had a bad angle. Now, I watched the game time extra point in the first overtime from over some fat offensive lineman's head on the Miami sideline. The cameras aren't even following the ball. This happened to me last week. I watched the game last week where I just didn't see things that happened. I didn't see a game time kick last week because they were showing some dude on the sideline. And tonight, I get stuck in Altcast Hill. And it's not even a good-- it's not like the man in cast. It's just like, here's a camera. We're not going to talk and just figure it out yourself. And that's how I saw. I saw the holding. And I saw-- I had to guess if it was a holding or not, I didn't know what it was. What? Yeah, I guess when you rewatch it, you'll see the announcer on the Hail Mary that officially ends the game goes, entuce Robinson comes down one day. And then they say interception. My-- there we go. I put on the Florida game. I had the first two minutes on. It was in Spanish. It was saying Los Longorns. OK, my second one. My second, what are we doing? Goes to that game. This one's a little bit more serious than the other two. This Texas fan who takes his phone down at the end of the game goes up to Florida fans and flips them-- our Florida players and flips them off. What are we doing, dude? They should have kicked your fucking ass. They should have kicked that guy's ass. I would have had no problem if a Florida player rushed him and just beat the shit out of him. Nobody would have. You lost the game. You're just trying to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. You're going up to the guys you would never go up to in any walk of life. You'd never walk up those guys and flip them off in normal life. But you're doing it because they're players and because they're out there. They can't do anything to you. And you think you're billy bad ass because you're on the field. Shut the fuck up. That's a-- you're fucking pathetic. I hope-- I don't know if that-- people know who that guy is now, but fuck that guy. What are we doing? Anything else, Liam? Well, that one? No. No, well, Seth, these guys think that they're immortal. Yeah. There's no way, bud. All right, let's go around the country. Well, what happened? I get mine. Oh, I didn't-- I said what else do you have? I thought you meant on that. I still got two of these, playa. Oh, I know you had them play, boy. I just-- I never thought you-- No, but you're punning. No, I'm not punning. I got two. Well, go. Go. No way, Eagle, go in. Yeah, we're trying to get this slime celebration out the game. We're still doing this for 15 yards. That's crazy. Colton Joseph rips off a big run, does, and gets fine, or gets fine. Probably we'll get fine by the end of life for a cool three meal. It's all I know. Yeah, that's one. And then the second one I sent to Luki. Luki pulled this up, Rocco backed. The one thing you can't say. Did you see this? I didn't see it. No. Luki pulled this up. This is the one that I was having to not watch in Penn State. Fair, this is after the game. Luki's pulled this up. All right. Pull the-- right now. Here we go. I think it's-- yep, there it is. I don't know. You don't play it out there, play it free. I feel good. Some plays are just aren't there for me. They just don't work out for me. I get all lucky. And you know what happens. Like I said, it's humbling. So one thing you can't say is I'm gang unlucky when you're hand in the ball to the other team. You're practically handing the ball to the other team. One, two, three times. You're the reason your team lost another game. You're the reason you are-- you guys are the laughing stock of the Big Ten. There is no reason Rocco Beck should be QB1 of Penn State any longer. They have seen what they need to see from him. They need to see what they have from Mansky. Now, I got unlucky. I'm gang unlucky, Brandon. You kidding me? Fair enough. I had not seen that, but I'm glad that I saw it. So let's go around the country to the scoreboard. And anything we miss, we will be able to hit it right here, starting in the Atlantic Coast Conference. All right. Wake Forest right now up on 34-0 on Cal. Wake is just a good football team. If there's not, I don't want to qualify, but saying, oh, that might be the second best team in the ACC. They're just good. They might be top 20 good. They're just a good-ass football team. They go on the road, 34-0, and they're up on Cal right now, just destroying that poor team. Climbson 37, nothing over College of Charleston. Charleston, Southern. This is SCCH. Boston College 27, pit 21, the corpse of pit season continues to rot. SMU 33, 13 over UVA, the Vorbula experience that I liked so much in the first two weeks is done. North Carolina, the annoyingly decent North Carolina of the 24-20 overdue. Virginia Tech 34, Georgia Tech 24, I can proudly-- I know nothing about that game. I know nothing about that game. About which game? Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, nothing. And you don't either. We've got Stanford 34, ELO 7 and Louisville 34, 26 on the road over Syracuse. We go to the Big 12. And that is where a couple teams we ever talked about. You saw having some trouble with Colorado out there, just out of halftime. It was 13-0 in Colorado. It just ripped off a massive, massive touchdown play. 13-7 Colorado down to Utah. Kansas State 35, 24 over Kansas. That score, not really indicative of how close it was throughout the day. But again, this is going to state Kansas, so Kansas State's going to win. That's just the law in the state of Kansas. West Virginia 45, Cincinnati 42. I texted Nick Tureini to this. West Virginia has to be the toughest team on a heart this year. If your blood pressure is high, you just can't be a West Virginia fan. Because every single week is like this. Every single week, they're playing 55-45 games. They win this one, 45-42. As Michael Hawkins has 520 yards of total offense. And they beat Cincinnati. Pretty good Cincinnati team. So not a bad win there for West Virginia. Texas Tech 53-25 over Arizona State. TCU 17, Baylor 6, a Baylor team. I've been saying, you better watch out for them. They're sneaky. And they snuck right the fuck out of that big 12 race today by losing the TCU at home. BYU 28, 24 over Notre Dame. And Houston 35 Oklahoma State 32. As we turn the corner there in the big 12, going towards the stretch of the season. Looks like BYU and Texas Tech separating themselves with Houston not far behind. The big 10, we've got Nebraska and Oregon. Basically at halftime, 27 seconds left.
- A nothing, nothing barn burner. - Yeah, and Nebraska's probably about to score. Oregon just light up a third in 22 or third in 26 or something. Dante Moore, Camarillo Taylor, felt deserving of more Heisman votes. - I agree. Lucky, I need something. SSO says Dave's new top 10 tweet is absurd. I'm gonna need to see Dave's new top 10 tweet. We might be top four. - And you're right, Liam. - I came away today. Camarillo Taylor should get more Heisman votes after 31 nothing lost by Mississippi State today. 'Cause Camarillo Taylor was obviously masking some problems with the roster. - Yeah. Dave Portnoy, that's still a president day. That was the wackiest wildest, most awesome day of college football all the time. Here's my new top 10, but one thing is clear. Anybody can beat anybody in the big 12 needs multiple teams and playoffs. Number one for Dave, BYU, number two UCLA, number three Texas Tech, number four Miami, number five Utah, six, good Lord. Three big 12 teams on top five. Utah's winning 13-7 over Colorado right now. They haven't eaten anybody. - He put the five undefeated teams, top five. - That's so stupid. 6-0 Ohio State 7-0 miss. Eight Kentucky 9-10-A-C in 10, Georgia. That's certainly a top 10, and it's certainly by Dave Portnoy. - I think I did. - The guy who didn't know that the Alabama 10-A-C driver is called the third Saturday in October. Washington 38, Purdue 26, just when you think Purdue is turning a corner and pretty good, they lay another egg. - Occupy'll talk about a team that they ain't care about, they're QB1. Washington, to Mon Willing, they threw him in the locker room. I mean, that's one of those things. You said it, I said it, everybody said it. The second he wanted to get out of there and they forced him to stay legally, that's never ending well. Nobody wants to be in that relationship. Nobody's gonna be happy. And it was stupid of them to fight it. It was stupid of them. It just ruined the season, or at least to this point. Ohio State 15, or 19, Indiana 15, we've talked about that extensively. Northwestern 24, Michigan State 21. Thump half-fished Cheryl's gonna get his revenge. Eight and Charlottes gets his. Rutgers 37, Maryland 30. What are we, what? - Mike Loxley will be fired in the morning, I assume. - Mike Loxley got fired after the UCLA game. My question to you is why teams like Maryland are doing a silent firing and allowing the guy that they fired to continue to coach? Is it just because they're begging and hoping and praying a booster, a donor throws them all the bio money? I don't understand it. - I don't know. - The Michigan 21, Penn State 18, and UCLA 17 was constant seven game. We haven't talked about it even a little bit, Liam. 17, seven, you guys are underrated, six and oh. - Don't got a rhythm pretty, man. I'll tell you this though, Brandon. They bottled up our run game. Tideafenbach. Tideafenbach made big-time throws that Niko was never thinking of throwing. We've got the SEC, LSU 31, Mississippi State and nothing. We've got Oklahoma next week of Camario and Fluff Don't Play. I just might take a bath with it. I, yeah, it's bad, it's bad. Florida 27, Texas 24. As Texas earns a sweep in our most depressing team. We've got Texas A&M 41, Citadel 3. Nothing, excuse me, 41, nothing. Tennessee destroys Alabama 26 to 10. Enjoy that Katelyn DeBore football. Ole Miss destroys Missouri 31 to three. Auburn 27, Georgia 24. We talked about all these 31, 21, Arkansas over Vandy and Kentucky on the road, 21, Oklahoma 13. As Kentucky looks like a serious football team going down the stretch of the season. All right, Liam, there we go. - Nothing Nebraska going in the half. - Oh my God, I can't wait to get over there and not watch that. I will update you, Jimmy Duff. Now in his senior season, former 5 star, he has thrown, I believe, he has in his fourth season. I think he has thrown for up 250 touchdowns for three years. He has won two hyzments. We're going with Kevin Hood as our senior running back. He's pretty good and then we've got Kerry Longo behind him. Now we do have an exciting 5 star freshman who just got in his name's Scales. He just got in the first time. He ripped off a 69 yard on his first ever college carry. But it's really about the receiver room. Two 5 stars, Oursu from Haddishburg, Mississippi. And then we got, who we got some sort of like Godbolt or something that's 99 speed freshman. Oh my goodness, this Godbolt is going to be incredible. - Like, I got news for you too. - What? - Northwestern state, 21. McNeese state, 24. - Oh, I just got close. - I just do that. - They got close. - They are 0 and 7, that is their first law. Second loss by single digits. The first instead of Louisiana Christian opener. - They're getting close. - All right, that's it. We'll see you guys Monday night. Thank you very much. - Rioby. - It's Brandon Walker College football show. - What? - Rioby. - Did I not do Rioby? - No, I apologize. - I apologize. - Rioby, I died, but Rioby, I'm sorry.
