The host critiques Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zakaria, for downplaying the Epstein files and making offensive statements. In response, Democratic lawmakers, including Robert Garcia, have outlined a plan for aggressive oversight, targeting Trump family wealth, ICE corruption, corporate misconduct, and the Epstein case. These efforts include public hearings, witness testimony under oath, and a push for transparency on millions of unshared documents. The episode underscores growing public demand for accountability, especially as Donald Trump and his allies appear to benefit financially while ordinary citizens face rising costs. The narrative blends personal health, business tools, and political accountability, concluding with a call for real justice and public engagement.
This episode of the Midas Touch podcast is brought to you by Whoop, the wearable health and fitness
coach that gives you personalized insights into your sleep, recovery, strain, stress,
and overall health. Listen, I've tried a bunch of wearables and I found a lot of them to be
so overwhelming. I don't need another screen constantly tapping me, pinging me, and sending
me notifications. But that's what I love about Whoop. The Whoop 5.0 wearable is screenless,
so it just sits quietly on my wrist collecting data. Whenever I want, I can open the companion
app and get this incredibly detailed picture of what's happening with my body and actually
use that information to make proactive decisions. And with a one-year-old, sleep has become a bit
of a luxury. Whoop helps me pinpoint the things that are actually affecting me. Did that 4 p.m.
cup of coffee hurt my sleep? Did that run on the treadmill bring down my stress? How well am I
actually recovering? Whoop gives me a full picture of my health without overloading me, and it's
helped me build a healthier routine around what my body is actually telling me. To learn more,

Xero.com. That's X-E-R-O. Donald Trump's dark and twisted past is surfacing after statements he made
yesterday, which conjure up certain allegations.
Regarding Donald Trump and the late Princess Diana. Yep, they were actually stalking allegations
regarding how Donald Trump behaved around Princess Diana, statements that Donald Trump made about her.
And yesterday, Donald Trump said that he was going to call Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic
candidate for the open Senate seat in Michigan, Muhammad El-Fayed. Why is that significant?
Muhammad El-Fayed.
Muhammad El-Fayed is the father of Dodi Fayed, who was with Princess Diana in 1997 in Paris
when they were both killed there. Now, Dodi's father, Muhammad El-Fayed, is a late billionaire
who was accused by numerous women of sex trafficking. Let me read some of the allegations
about Dodi's father, Muhammad, whose name is clearly on Donald Trump's mind as Donald Trump
is covering up the Epstein files.
We'll also be talking in a moment about some of those allegations regarding Donald Trump's
behavior around Princess Diana. Muhammad El-Fayed, the late owner of Harrods Department Store,
engaged over many years in what appeared to be widespread trafficking of dozens of women
with whom he had sex, investigators told British lawmakers. Many of the victims,
including young sales assistants from the Harrods shop floor, were transported to Fayed's home,
an offices, at times by helicopter, where they were abused by the billionaire owner,
according to a recent briefing by London's Metropolitan Police, The Guardian reported.
So, Muhammad El-Fayed's name was in Donald Trump's, what I believe to be, dementia-ridden
head. Of course, that's just my opinion. Now, here's what Donald Trump said. Let's play it.
I'm very hard. You know, this guy, I call him Muhammad El-Fayed. Some people call him,
I call him Muhammad. Somebody said, why? I said, I don't know. I feel like it.
But he wants to abolish Columbus Day.
Now, let's talk about Donald Trump's behavior around Princess Diana. Around 2000, Donald Trump
was alleged to be on Howard Stern and made comments about how he would have sex with Diana. He said he
wanted to have sex with her, but he wanted to get her HIV tested first. I mean, what a despicable
thing to say. And this was after she had passed away. Also, Donald Trump, in the early 90s,
was apparently at an event where he met her and kept on sending her things and flowers over and
over again and wouldn't go away. One of Diana's friends said he was one of the creepiest people
around her and thought that he may have been even stalking her.
Now, about a year ago, I also spoke to Michael Wolff, one of Donald Trump's former biographers.
And Michael Wolff told me that one of the things that Ghislaine Maxwell could link Donald Trump to,
and one of the things that may be still covered up in the Epstein files, in those 5 million records
that have not been produced, is something called the Pussy Committee regarding Prince Andrew and
relating Donald Trump and Epstein's desire to both try to have sex with people in the royal family
and make sure that they involved Andrew as well in their behavior. This is what Michael Wolff said
here, playing this clip. Now, this is a key issue right now
in the way the White House is looking at the Epstein scandal. The fear is
that Ghislaine Maxwell can tie Donald Trump to the details of what Trump and Epstein called the Pussy Committee.
The Pussy Committee consisted of Trump and Epstein in their efforts to get girls for Prince Andrew.
Now, this also comes at a time where the Trump regime named its new press secretary,
Katie Zakaria. She is a right-wing commentator and communications advisor to Trump media. And
as Mike Nellis says, here's the new White House press secretary, Katie Zakaria, saying the Epstein
files don't matter. This is what she had said recently before getting the title as the Trump
regime's new press secretary. Play this clip.
Hey, the question, does it matter to you that the Epstein files have finally been released? And
will you find yourself taking a peek at the contents? Let's begin with Katie.
Kevin, what matters to me is eight world conflicts have been solved in eight months. Inflation's down,
tariffs are bringing in revenue, and we are living in the golden age under President Trump. So I might
take a glance if it appears on X, but doesn't matter to me. Keep it moving, says Katie.
Now, she posts a bunch of selfies of herself all of the time working out and in bathing suits. Also,
Zakaria has deep ties to communist China, working in Beijing for years at the Chinese law firm
Zong Lun. Zong Lun regularly acts as counsel for Chinese state agencies, state-owned enterprises,
and cross broader transactions tied to Chinese government strategies like the Belt and Road
Initiative. She also made this comment,
"The abortion pill has the same chemicals that were used in Nazi extermination camps." This is
what she had to say. Play this clip.
Abortion, you know, the abortion pill has the same chemicals that they used in the exterminate,
you know, exterminate camps in Nazi Germany. These, to stop the progesterone from flowing and
it's cut off the oxygen to the baby, right?
And when she was debating Adam Mockler, you all know Mockler, here is what she
admitted as Mockler said, watch Trump's new press secretary Katie Zakaria admitting that Trump is
committing a crime. Here, play this clip. Make America great.
I mean, I don't know what the legacy is that you're protecting. Is it like the Iran war that's
failing? Is it the Epstein files? Is it the truth social that you kind of just dodged away from? The
reality is $100,000 is a very high barrier of entry. If you want to have that barrier of entry,
you have to already be some sort of firm or have a lot of money. Other platforms aren't selling
access to the president's early access to the president's early access to the president's early
social posts. So I don't know what legacy you're defending, but he's going to go down as one of the
most corrupt presidents in American history. Trump Media and Technology Group is a publicly
traded company with a fiduciary duty to their shareholders. Early access API, which is what
you're talking about, is done by all of the competitors. This is not something that the
president has done. This is something that the company has done. Which platforms of the
competitors is the president on? Like, is the president making announcements on Twitter or
on Instagram? All of his true social posts end up on every other single platform. But the early
social first, you get early access. You just beat your own argument. You can you can subscribe like
everybody else to early access. OK, thanks. The communications advisor for true social.
Uh, now there is a lot there that I think needs to be investigated. And I think one of the things
that people are looking forward to after these midterms is real oversight is real accountability.
I want to bring in the ranking member of the house oversight committee, Democrat Robert Garcia. And I
want to ask him the types of things that when Democrats take control of the house that they
will be focused on in the house oversight committee when he becomes the chair and when
Jamie Raskin becomes the chair of the judiciary committee. Let's bring in my interview with
Democratic Congress member Garcia. Now let's bring in Democratic Congress member Robert Garcia,
ranking member of the house oversight committee. Great to see you, Congress member Garcia. Look,
as people look towards the midterms home stretch, people are thinking about what a Democratic
committee is going to look like. And I want to ask him the types of things that people are
majority can look like that would make you not the ranking member anymore, but the chair of the
house oversight committee. You all can issue subpoenas. You can control the time. You can
control really the flow of how witnesses appear. And even where you fought and you've done a great
job, Congressman, to get witnesses in. We've seen all these games that these MAGA Republicans have
played, limiting time, limiting the formats, all of that crap. So talk to us more broadly,
then we'll get into the topics about really what this means in terms of witnesses,
showing up. Are these going to be hour-long hearings, multi-day hearings,
long questioning? Explain that aspect to people so they see how that could be different and what
real oversight means. Yeah, I mean, obviously we're pretty excited. We're prepared to actually
get good accountability, get justice. The reality is, you know, is that James Comer and the MAGA
Republicans have done nothing to do real oversight. You have the most corrupt administration in
this country. You have no accountability for the just brazen corruption that's happening every day.
Look, we in Oversight are going to have four major areas that we're going to focus on. The first is
Trump family corruption, the crypto schemes, the, you know, oligarch weddings, the money from
foreign governments, all of the things that the kids, Jared Kushner, the president, all of that
will be a top priority for us going into Congress at the very top. The second area is going to be
around DHS and ICE. Corey Lewandowski.
The corruption of ICE and the way they're detaining people for profit. Our third area
will be corporate corruption. Anyone that's ripping off the American people or partnering
with the Trumps to rip off the American people. And then finally, the Jeffrey Epstein investigation
to get true justice for the survivors. And so those four areas, I think people are going to
start seeing action from us very quickly in the majority. And what they're going to see are real
public hearings, real interviews that we're going to bring in the public to be a part of, that we're
going to put them under oath, unlike Republicans who like to have witnesses, but not put them under
oath, which is crazy, as you can imagine. And we're going to have a real focus on the corruption
and on ensuring that there is real accountability. And so we've been working on this already. We're
working, of course, with Leader Jeffries. I'm working directly with Jamie Raskin on the
Judiciary Committee. We're all on the same team. And then we're going to be at the center of these
investigations. What does that look like? I mean, do you have like a day,
one plan where, boom, the subpoenas are basically ready to go and we're going to see a flurry of
activity on day one? Does it become tiered? What can you share about the coordination between you
and Raskin, who's the ranking member of Judiciary? He'll become the chair. I mean, as I think a lot
of people think, look, can you really do a deal with Trump? I think it was Warren Buffett who said
you can never do a deal with a bad person and Trump's the worst type of person. So in terms of
what people are looking for, I think it's going to be a lot of work. I think it's going to be a lot
looking towards. I mean, really, I think it's you and I think it's Raskin. And then I think there
are these other committees that will do their own oversight. But like to me, you two are leading the
way. So what does that look like right now? What does the preparation look like? Yeah. I talked to
Jamie yesterday. We talk all the time. And him and I have met, our teams meet, but also we've met
with Leader Jeffries, the three of us to kind of map out some of these early moves. I will say that
he's really strong coordination. I've reminded folks that I know I came to Congress three years
ago and oversight as a freshman. Jamie Raskin was the ranking member and I knew his style and
his mentorship and has been a great colleague. And so I've learned a lot from from him as
obviously a newer member to Congress. And so the relationship between us is really strong and we
are communicating and strategizing what we're going to do now as far as what our day one strategy is.
We won't be revealing that on the show today, but I would say that people can expect
a aggressive posture. And we have mapped out what our first hearings are going to look like,
who we expect to have in front of our committees early on. And I think that's what the American
public expect. They don't want us sitting around just waiting for things to happen. They want
immediate action. And that's our plan. You know, I'm like, I'm not going to try to pry more into the work process.
We're going to try to pry into the work product there. Anything more about that day? I'll move on to the next topic if I'm prying into work product. But anything about that kind of day one? Do we think it's family first? Do we think it's DHS first? Do we think it's corporate or Epstein in terms of the very first kind of hearings that you think happened?
I think that it's safe to say that the early hearings will be within the scope of the kind of lanes that I discussed earlier. We don't want to give away too much about what's going to happen.
Immediately first. But I'll say that just a week ago, I had the senior team of the Oversight Committee
work here in California. And we were all just down the street here in Long Beach mapping out
that very first couple, you know, first hearing, first couple hearings. And we're doing that work
now. While at the same time, not getting ahead of ourselves and focus on the work ahead as it relates
to the campaign, which is why we've been traveling, why I've been supporting candidates, why, you know, I've been
nonstop trying to, you know, support these candidates by raising money and getting engaged.
And so that's the most important work, but the planning is happening.
All right. I read my comments and they would say, Ben, if you didn't ask, they would think I was
being negligent. But I got you. Kimberly Guilfoyle, the letter that you sent to her, I mean, look,
ambassador to Greece, you know, seemed to be a job of your Don Jr.'s ex-fiance. He's marrying
somebody else, Bettina, who's, by the way, I think her father was Epstein's banker, too, which is
100 degrees of bacon, but it's one degree Epstein in the Trump family. Anyway, they send her to
Greece and it's like, you got a mansion over there, you got a beautiful pool. I saw those
places where the ambassadors of Greece live. And it's kind of like, all right. And then there's one
corrupt story after another, the lobbyist, the 39-year-old guy who she rolls around with, who
people thought was her chief of staff, the issue about the Romanian government and whether they
were working to topple the Romanian government, the news story about the MAGA guy, the MAGA donor
paying his, him paying her Amex bill. You know, look, in the swing of things that we're dealing
with, with ICE and Border Patrol, Gestapo covering up sex trafficking rings that the Trump regime is
doing, the Guilfoyle story is probably not, but it speaks to this broader issue. So talk to us
about that. It does. I mean, first, she's very close to the Trump family. She's an extended
member of that family, remains close to them. And she's, according to these reports, she's basically
one of the first white house donors to pay $100,000 American Express cards. I mean, what the hell is
going on? I mean, this is crazy. And of course, that donor has now gone public. The Trump White
House has refused to say anything about this, actually. Marco Rubio, who should be leading
these ambassadors, is not commenting. And so we need to uncover, and we've asked questions as to
why she did this, who knew? This is clearly likely tied to some sort of pay-to-play scheme. We're
going to have to understand who actually directed this or knew this information. And I think it's
also just emblematic of probably what is likely happening in so many other parts of the government.
People are engaged in massive corruption, whether it's Kimberly Guilfoyle, whether it's what is
apparently a huge growing scandal around Don Jr. and his wedding, which is unbelievable that the
son of a president would have a Russian oligarch with ties to Putin pay for his wedding and, of
all this stuff, matters. And it matters that oversight is engaged. It matters that we uncover
the truth. And to get there, we've got to win in November.
Following this, Katie Fang from the Midas Touch Network, her lawsuit, right? I mean,
she's a hero fighting for the survivor, just like you are. And to watch the tactics by
the Trump DOJ as they are asking to stay, turning over the documents and the foreign language
documents, and they're doing all of these appeals. And it's like,
it's so out in the front, you know, what they're doing. And so, you know, how do,
look, I know there's that Epstein Transparency Act, other discharge petition that's kind of
working its way through. And one of the reasons MAG and Mike, I think, shut down Congress early
again. So you come back, you get the discharge petition maybe passed. But what do you do now
if you got the majority to just get these files? I mean, there's probably
five million documents that are not produced, and that could be
25 million pages because we've got multi-document pages.
hell even knows. It could be more than that. So what do we do to get these documents?
Well, we got to keep the pressure on. We got to take it to the courts, which we'll be able to do
when we have the House, which we're unable to do in the minority. The minority can't sue on behalf
of the House. Only the majority can. We'll involve the public pressure and hopefully some
bipartisanship. I mean, when Republicans get decimated in the fall, which I hope they do,
I hope some of those that are left are willing to come over and work with us on justice for the
Epstein survivors. We're going to have public hearings. We're going to have real accountability.
We're going to elevate the story. We're going to bring out more information. So we're committed
to having a real Jeffrey Epstein investigation. I think it's going to be powerful. I think we're
going to get to the bottom of who've been involved in the sex trafficking, in the corruption,
in the abuse of women and girls, and the administrations that have no other choice
but to release the remaining documents. They're legally obligated to do so, and we're going to
make sure that it's done. They are continuing in this cover-up, and the cover-up is part of
the scandal in the story.
ISKRA Look, you've been. In politics and local office, you're a mayor close to where I live, and you've seen. And by
the way, the city that you were the mayor of is very diverse, and it's not necessarily all these
liberal people. I mean, you had to balance a lot of interests over there. When you've been traveling
the country, any observations about this moment before we go that just surprises you as someone
who's been speaking to people in politics your whole life?
Is there anything that you're like, wow, this actually is different, and not in a hopium way,
but like for real? Is there differences?
There is. I've never heard people talk about corruption this much. I've never heard people
concerned about it this much. I think they see it, and I think they're realizing that as they're
paying more at the pump, and as their grocery costs continue to go up, and as their healthcare
is being cut, then they're seeing how much the Trumps have enriched themselves, and how
Donald Trump is now this billionaire, that Jared Kushner is a billionaire,
the sons are richer than they've ever been. And I think they're seeing that contrast. Well,
as folks are actually struggling, including folks that supported Donald Trump, the Trumps get
richer. And while it's a correlation, I think they've realized that the Trumps have taken their
money out of their pockets and given it to themselves and their rich friends and large
corporations. And so I hear that more and more, more than I ever have.
Well, I'll say this. I remember your inauguration as the ranking member of the House Oversight
Committee, and it was a big day. I think people will look back on.
I'm not just saying this because I've gotten to know you over this time, but you've done a really
good job. And more importantly than you, no offense to you, but I think you'll agree with me,
you've assembled a great team at the House Oversight Committee. And when I look around,
and I see a lot of these just young Democrats who are kicking ass, I feel good about what the
direction could look like. And you've helped build that team. So thanks for all the work that you've
done. Thank you.
