Indiana Survives Nail Biter + USC Punks Ohio State | Week 9 Recap | The BFW Show 10.31.26

The podcast features a mix of product promotions—Ryobi’s 40-volt outdoor power tools, Rougi’s 3-in-1 ED treatment, and Roweback’s college apparel—interspersed with in-depth football analysis. A central theme is the unpredictability and resilience of college football in 2026, where no team is consistently dominant. Ohio State is criticized for poor performance and lack of quarterback depth after injuries, while Indiana’s survival against Minnesota is framed as a triumph of clutch moments rather than sustained strength. Texas Tech and Utah deliver strong wins, highlighting Big 12 competitiveness. Florida’s erratic performance is contrasted with Georgia’s defensive dominance. The show emphasizes that excellence is fleeting, with every team experiencing flashes of brilliance or collapse. A standout moment is the historic duel of 60-yard field goals in the final seconds of Indiana vs. Minnesota, celebrated as a rare and dramatic finish. The host also reflects on the season’s unpredictability, calling it a "race to the finish" where teams are merely surviving. The tone remains balanced, acknowledging both standout performances and systemic flaws, culminating in a message of resilience over consistency.

Yeah, thank you, it's the best I've felt all day because I too was badling, you're sick, I'm sick, but we're two guys who are in the no excuses business, we show up right at talk ball. Why are you sick? I don't know, I got sick, someone at the office probably got me sick, if you're sick you probably shouldn't go into the office is my, my motto. Yeah, that's why Brent Mintz never comes, he's always sick, shoot, he had the runs on Tuesday. Uh, Brandon Walker show when he's not watching anything wonderful, well Joe Mack, you can leave because I watch plenty, I watch plenty, I just have been struggling, that's all, we're not going to be bitches tonight, Joe Mack, we're not going to be bitches, we're going to be here and we're going to talk football, that's what we're going to do, and Mississippi State is asked, yes without Camarillo Taylor, Mississippi State is asked. I would like to point out healthy, healthy Mississippi State Beach South Carolina on the road and beat Minnesota by 30, just going to say that right now, in case Minnesota comes up a little bit later, but they're not going to come up in the first segment here because that's all about Ohio State, it's all about Ohio State going out to USC, it's all about Ohio State going down and losing to USC and I am one, I'm certainly not one to belittle someone's starting quarterback, getting hurt, my God, do I know your pain there? If I had questions for Ryan Day, it would be, why do you struggle running the ball in the first half so much when your quarterback has hurt, why, why does your quarterback get hurt and mean you have over 10 penalties as a team all of a sudden, why does your quarterback get hurt and mean your, your defense is giving up third and 18 on a basic court, uh, running back draw, why if your quarterback is hurt, are you giving freshmen tied in 70 yard catches and hurdles throughout the heart of your defense, why can you not slow down USC, those, those will be my questions. Now, with Mississippi State, I know the answers to those questions, the quarterback gets hurt and the rest of the players aren't as good. That's not the case with Ohio State Liam. So while I'm going to acknowledge that Ohio State lost this game in Julian Sain is hurt, everybody around Ohio State and Julian Sain tonight didn't look like they were ready to win a football game either. No, this was, uh, something that we've become accustomed to with Ryan Day was showing up for a football game, a big football game and you're, you're in dripping down his leg. Nobody looked like they're prepared for this one. Nobody looked like they had any sense of urgency except for Jeremiah Smith, Brown Walker, that second half starts there down what, 29, they ran the ball 14 of their first 19 plays on a third quarter. And it's not like they were running it, I mean, they were running it with some success, but they were, they were, you know, kind of inching the ball down the field as opposed to exploding the ball down the field, um, there, everything's on the table right now. They've got two losses. They've also texted earlier this year and now they lose to USC. They got Oregon coming back in next week. Who knows what's going to happen down the stretch of this season? The Highsman for Jeremiah Smith, by, see you later. That's gone. I don't, I don't know what to make of Ohio State. If they had beaten Texas earlier this year, they could survive this and be fine. But are they walking into a playoff environment? They're walking into a playoff game and beating a team with a good offense and a good defense. I don't see where Ryan Day is doing anything to overcome the loss of Julian Sand. And again, I'm being the guy that's preaching about Mr. State. I can see why Jeff Levy can't do it. I can't see why Ryan Day can't do it. Yeah, I don't know, bro, I'll have the answer for you. I look at that game and say he wasn't good. He was like aggressive to me in the first half because my expectations were so low. He battled. He was fine. Happy feet. Terrible throwball time. Whatever it be. All right. The craziest thing here, man, is just when you go from QB1 to QB2 and you've been trash and QB1 for so long. And then it hits you like, it just hits you a fly in the face, man. What a significant drop off in those two quarterbacks. Julian Sand looks like a god in comparison. Well, my question to that is you have a third quarterback, David St. Clair, who was the number three ranked quarterback in the country behind. I believe Keelan Russell, Bryce Underwood, he was also in the class of Camario Taylor. Those guys have all at least played and got on the field. What did you recruit him for and sign him if he's not able to get on the field and try to help you? What have you been doing with him for 18 months? What have you been doing with him on the roster? Did you not give him a jersey? Did you not tell him how to play? Does he not have a playbook? Why is your entire season now tied to Fahey when you're Ohio State? You should have a two and three-debit quarterback. Yeah. I don't think. Hey, then, St. Clair is up to game speed, but look, maybe he is. Stop, stop, stop. Immediately stop. Immediately stop. That's not that answer doesn't fly. There's a fly for Ohio State. I heard Luke you say it. I heard Luke you say he had back competition in high school, so he's not up to game speed. Well, then Ryan Day should be fired. If you're Ohio State and you don't have a second and third option in a quarterback, again, I get, why some teams don't have a second and third option? I have no idea how he doesn't. He has access to the most expensive groceries in the country. The coverage shouldn't be dry. I, so now I'll go back to why it's weird two weeks ago. Their quarterback going forward should have been and should be Justin Martin. The kid who has experience in that room, well, wow, it's just a little bit more, but at least he's a senior who's been around the block for him and has started at school again, right? There'd be a coach up in scout team all year. At least he's seen stuff here and there. At least he's picked people's brains here and there. At least he has show. He played at Penn State a few years ago, like at least he has something. Let's move quickly tonight. We're going to move quickly to Indiana surviving Indiana up against it with Minnesota. There were 20 and a half point favorites, a line that was so crazy and wonky in retrospect. It looked crazy and wonky in the moment, which is why I thought boy, you better bet Indiana, why in the world? Why in the hell is this 20 and a half points? Well, it shouldn't have been. I mean, Minnesota was right there with him. Indiana ends up winning it over time after scoring a touchdown on their first play. But the dueling 60 year, dueling 60 year field goals in the last 30 seconds of a game. The last 19 seconds of a game is as crazy a finish as I can remember. And Indiana keeps surviving. They survived Nebraska. They didn't survive Ohio State, but then they survived over time in Michigan. Now they survived against Minnesota. But I don't think the right play here is to say are they good. I actually think I'm going to turn it and Liam. I'm going to work on a theory in front of you right now Maybe it's not about having impressive games Maybe it's not about Pointing two games and saying Indiana was good that entire game. Maybe it's about moments Maybe in this world where everybody can beat get beat, you know, Miami's been over time I mean almost lost a North Carolina night everybody can get beat George has gotten beaten or names got beat everybody get beat So maybe instead of games It's what moments do you have are you able to live up to the moment when Indiana when you're in danger at home Can you win the moments and they won the moments against Nebraska? They won the moments against Michigan and tonight they win the moments even though they spend most of the day not looking very good And Josh Hoover doesn't look like he's a national title winning quarterback They won the moments Liam and I I think that's what I'm going to come away from this with Sure cool. Yeah, they won the moments. That's why they keep playing football games. They're coming up clutch good for them They're not they're not that good. They're not that good. No, they're not that good. I stand by that. I've been saying and I Do they need to I I don't know who's good Nobody's good. That's the beauty of the 2026 college football season. Nobody is good Judging by the standard you show up every week and handle your business. Nobody is good Um, I do think there are a couple teams with different gears and every other thing I think George's got a different gear than Indiana has great Um, I think, you know, we'll see about Notre Dame Miami next week as they've kind of both limping into this thing Um, so yeah, but Indiana the the dueling 60 orders. I'll never forget where I was. I was I was out of friend's house here in Bogota and The first one the Minnesota one I stood up. I left off my chair and the second one the Indiana one I just laughed like two college kickers College kickers is a thing we complain about and two college kickers went 60 for 60. That's crazy Well, I alone brand walker This is the first time it's ever happened in the history of a foul or college football that two teams traded 60 yard Feel goes on the final 30 seconds of regulations. It's never happened before in football I've never seen I've never seen it. I'm certainly it. I'm certain it hasn't happened in high school That might have been the first thing has ever happened in an organized football game the the Indiana kicker a macketeer the iris kids said he's never even practiced from 60 The first he made it from his 58 that thing was good from 70 Yeah, and the and the the the Minnesota kid his was straight as an arrow Like I'm respected to have a little wobble to it. You expect it as soon as it left his foot like that thing was good I'm I'm never gonna forget why I was mostly because I'm on the couch here in my apartment 95% of the time, but I How Indiana won that game like you talk about the moments brand for them to come up on special teams clutch there After after what happened that game they had a missed field goal. They had a botched field goal hold there another one blocked they had two of the shortest puns you'll ever see Crazy. Yeah. No, they they won them all and I thought Signetti wasn't even that good down the stretch like he he cost his team could have called a time out and had like 60 seconds to go And ended up having 19 because he had two time out since pocket while Minnesota is kicking a field goal. I Whatever I don't know they have some sort of magic signetti has magic They survive and they survive and they survive and they survive and at the end We get into a playoff. It's all about surviving. So maybe they'll be ready. I don't know are they good Not particularly that their offense doesn't do anything to inspire you. They can't really run it I don't know why they don't make the whole plane out of Charlie Becker and Nick Mars. Just just Force it to him every single play, but whatever I mean I try way they try the quarterback Josh Hubert air mails it all time Wilson came in airmailed a few too, but at least he was accurate enough when needed to be Wilson That's probably Wilson's job coming forward. I think he did enough to take the job I certainly don't have much confidence in who we're going forward if I'm if I'm in again, but what do I know? Moving forward We've got plenty of games. We'll get to our awards in just a minute most impressive team most depressing team Most badass thing you saw today. I told you so the I was wrong and all of that Let me let me do an ad. Let me wear wherever I go. Reobie tools dot com reobie Reobie the 18 volt. They're for the lithium the lithium battery. It's all one battery And you've got so many tools you can use. I have a stand-up life that I have in my In my garage. I can carry anywhere. I'd use it for night workout in the yard where I use my weed trimmer where I use my my leaf blower I have reobie tools all over you can get them at the home depot. They're only available at the home depot But they got so many mixing match things with that battery You just keep it charged all day and you can just go around the house from small things like my basketball and the air Entire pump to my big things like my leaf blower and things my industrial fan that I have in my gym Reobie has so many little things around the house. It powers your tailgate. It can power your yard work Power your you're living at home reobie tools go to home depot or go to reobie tools dot com slash walker I believe reobie tools dot com 400 cordial solutions you need for the house to garage yard the tailgate and beyond only the home depot home depot dot com and reobie tools Dot com Oh dang Brandon slow down. Okay, well, I'll relax. I'll relax everybody relax um, I Don't know where to go next um, I guess You tall making it safe. Let's go to big 12. Let's go to big 12 because that's been a place That we've talked about a lot over the last couple of weeks. Texas Tech certainly disappointed last week when they went on the road Since natty and lost and now this week they come back. They're playing Arizona And a terrific game at home, but both teams were good. Thomas Castellanus comes out of comes back from the dead Russ for 100 yards leads him to a win. Texas Tech is is back in that big 12 race that this would have been a bad loss for them Would have kind of effectively eliminated them and then on the other side You tall goes to a Cincinnati team that just beat Texas Tech and beat the ever-living dog shit out of them Just beat them from pillar to post star with Texas Tech Arizona, Liam I Texas tech social team out enough you saw they did they did clip. Yeah, they I hate to bring that up to you. They clipped you Let me tell you something Not only did I see it. Mm-hmm Won't tell you how I saw it. I was sitting there. I was watching the end of whatever. I'm maybe Indian I was sitting there watching second half of Indiana and Minnesota. I'm a little off today. I'm trying. I'm trying. I was sitting there watching the end and I get a text It's Joey McGuire And he clips the thing he sends me the clip from the social media team and says looking good big guy LOL So so that's that's how I find out that they clip me. Listen, you know what you're gonna you're gonna say things are wrong You're gonna say things are right. I love when teams lean into it and have fun with it And I think they have the right and yeah, that's that's fair game. Well done. Well played Texas Tech That's the spear man and hey man. I thought Arizona was going to win this game too They had not text tech story game was fantastic Cassie on is gonna be the guy going forward. It just really Helps even bolster their run game more with what he could do with his legs picked up a lot of key third downs Fafita man He has law he he had that fourth and short that fourth and one on the tight end leak and just missed it over through it and wasn't the same after that Yeah, I mean Arizona's a really good team out in the big 12 I think schedule makers kind of got them their big their two big games were happy why you and that Texas tech That doesn't discredit Texas Tech's win. I mean Texas Tech was fantastic today. They ran the football They ran it down their throat. It was awesome that once again as every week We're getting more clarity in the big 12. Maybe we're down to what three teams or we're down to Kind of Utah BYU Texas Tech and am I am I missing somebody because I know Oklahoma State took themselves out over again tonight Um, and somebody is somebody obvious in my mind that I'm I'm missing No, right You just use I don't know how you meet yourself. I don't know how you do it Because I don't want to cough and I know that you cough. I want to cough Houston Houston. Yes, but I mean they've already lost they were there too. Yeah, yeah, so so I think we're we're just trying You know, it's kind of a sprint to the finish year between BYU Utah Obviously those two teams play next week. Texas Tech will play at Oklahoma State in a couple of weeks I think Utah has to play at Arizona later. So it's gonna be a fascinating November in the big 12 But God almighty Utah today. Geez Louise. They just absolutely ran rough shot over Cincinnati A Cincinnati team to beat Texas Tech a lot of people including myself thought Cincinnati could do it again or at least Keep it close and no no no no Utah made a fucking statement today Yeah, good for them to get there um First like legit good win of the year like that's what this what it was their first statement when There was a great wing and Susan don't get me wrong But this was go on the road into nipper and absolutely dismantled that team From the jump man 49 25 is a whole lot closer than what that game actually was I think it was 35 six-and-a-half or 42 to six-and-a-half maybe it was down man It was just an absolutely insane. It was over from the very very beginning. It was incredible Yeah, shout out to Utah fantastic stuff Another team I thought was dominant maybe not as dominant as you Utah, Georgia. Georgia's kind of erased all down early against Florida, Florida. We can maybe Monday, we would do this. Florida might be the weirdest team in the country. We could think on that. As far as ups and downs and dipsy doodles, one week they're terrific and they're killing Ole Miss and they're winning on the road to Texas. And the next week, they're just non-competitive against Georgia. Those two teams didn't look like they were made of players on the same level, like it was just an absolute beat down. And Georgia could have played better offensively, but their defense was nasty. -Yeah, their offense is leaving a lot of room for disappointment. But like I think we're going to act like it was a word, okay? -Okay. -Just not a word. -Desirement. -Well, it felt really good in the moment. The point though, Brandon, is when you look around the country at the best teams, a lot of them are leaving a bit to be desired offensively, aside from like Miami. And then what you taught did today. I wouldn't even say aside from Miami. I mean, they're winning and they're not losing, but they're not looking like any great shakes. They could have very easily lost North Carolina tonight. They get their offense when they need it most if you want to do the whole moments thing. They are a moment's team and when you get them in the fourth quarter, they have Malachitone and Mark Fletcher and Adair Mitsu and you don't. So there's that. But like, I don't, there's no team in this country. Outside of I guess UCLA, but they have UCLA even hasn't. UCLA's not defeated, I don't know. There's no team in this country that hasn't had moments where you're like, this team isn't very good. Every single one of them has it. -Oh, we have. I think all of October, UCLA had moments where they weren't good. -Yeah, so like it's just, it's you're right. Every team has had that. -It's just we're in a race where nobody's running very fast. That's what we are. This is College Football in 2026 is a race to the finish line where everybody's running like a 9-8-40. It's a bunch of fat guys in a race. It might be cake. This season might be cake. -The whole season's cake? -Bitch, it might be cake. -Oh my goodness gracious. It's a mostly sports horse running race and Connor Griffin's on the call. -So I'm trying to read the chat a little bit. You seriously good, says Indy fan. UNC damn near Gothen onside cakes. Why is it made of interest? Did you see that Liam? -I couldn't stop laughing. -North Carolina was down 10, I believe. They scored a touchdown to cut it to three. They go for an onside kick. It looks picture perfect. They get it. Flag offside. And he was offside. Two guys were offside, actually. So they line him up five yards short. Onside kick, picture perfect. They get it. Flag, he blocked him before they touched it. Onside kick, Miami gets it ball game over. But it was just one of those things. If your onside cakes are so low percentage when you see one happen and then there's a flag, you feel like you cheated. It's just ridiculous. Don't expect that from a ball check team either. -No, boy, North Carolina is sneaky in a great game every week. They could have-- -This week they won a 30 overtime game. Yeah, like they're not bad. I feel like-- Ball check now that he's had a year to get over Jordan. I feel like he's-- They're respectable football team. -Is that-- so that's-- that's real. That's why we hadn't seen Jordan. -I don't know. I have no idea. I don't really keep up with Jordan. Don't win. Love never win. -Who's going to stop Miami's offense as R.T. Spicer? Maybe Notre Dame's defense. I know Notre Dame didn't look good for half a game today when against Navy. But like Notre Dame and Miami, we're looking forward to Notre Dame and Miami. So I don't really fall either one of them, especially against @Navy. Well, like that's-- how do you get out for @Navy? You're just kind of going through the motions in the first half. Navy does all the time off the clock. You look up and you're only winning by one point, and then they got to figure it out. -I'd think-- -If anyone-- Sorry, you're lagging a little bit. Shit. All right, well, I'm in a hotel room somewhere in, uh-oh. All right. Come on, get through it internet. Get through it internet. -Yep. -Yep. You got this. All right. Now we're better? A little bit. It's going to be something you got to fight through. You got to fight through a big dog. We're sorry, big boy. -Fuck me. -Fight. I'm fighting. Let me fight. -Yeah, fight. -Come on, Gaylord Marriott. Let's-- let's-- let's-- what? Come on. I'm in a damn hotel. It's not a red roof in. It's a Gaylord opera land where there's the door. Come on, opera land, but piss me off. Fuck. What do you want me to do? Should I restart? I don't know. I'm not the producer. You're solid right now. Fight solid right now. Okay. All right. All right, I'm getting through it, guys. We're going to try. We're going to try. Shout out to Roebuck. It's a Gaylord opera land hotel and resort. I'm going to widespread panic tomorrow. Syracuse beats SMU in a day where I didn't do great. In a day where I missed on Cincinnati, and I missed on Texas Tech and Arizona. This was easy to see. Come and SMU going on the road. Syracuse with Angelie. Just not a bad team. They can score points. And if you can score points, you can beat SMU. SMU is a fake contender. They were a fake top 25 team. They were what, six and one. But they just completely fake about it. So shout out to Syracuse for beating SMU. Another one I was dead right about. Another one I was dead right about, Liam. Northwestern was the fakeest team in the country. And I'm sorry. They just were fake. They had done nothing. I don't know why everybody was so in love with them. But nobody was so high on them. They just, their biggest win was Penn State at home. They go on the road. They lose to Oregon. But I called Northwestern being fake from a mile away. Yeah, and I mean like to be honest though, I feel like they play the good game. I think Oregon was just better. I really, I walk away from that game. Northwestern had that one. They're up 10 in the third. And then their offense kind of starts to sputter out. But a few big, big stops in the red zone for Morgan's defense. Rayola really figured it out in the second half. He makes two great throws to the Corian Moore. The throw that he made to ice the game. That's why he watches Mahomes every second of his life. That was a Mahomes move to ice the game. Did you see that? I did. He was good. He was good. Which doesn't make sense how he goes from good to so bad. Good to so bad. Good to so bad. But he does. Can I just can I ask a question? I'm meant to ask you to just say the only way to talk about Notre Dame. Yep. Notre Dame coming down the stretch. If they were to lose to Miami next week. If they get to 10 and 2. One of the things about their resume was they had the win over Wisconsin who lost about 30 to Iowa today. And they would later get a win over SMU who lost on the road to Syracuse today. Did their chances at a 10 and 2 bid get hurt today? Or did they did they did they get critical today? Did it get almost fatal today or will they be fine? Yes, I think it has amped up a bit. But I think they're going to be fine because you look around the country. Yeah. Like we're going to have a few three lost teams in I think, right? So Notre Dame's going to be just fine. Yeah, they're going to be just fine. The brand was win in the in the big 10. Indiana and UCLA are the best teams and they haven't looked good at all. Ohio State is going to be fighting for their lives for the rest of the season. You got well, I was still going to be in the match with too long. Big 10 is going to be a fucking mess. The SVC is going to be a fucking mess. Notre Dame's going to look pretty tidy compared to some of these teams that are coming out of these conferences, lepping. Yeah, I agree. They're in. Climbs in 36 order state 24. That has to be the end for no real, right? Has to be would be back-to-back coaches. I got fired with preseason predictions. So I'd be cool. Who was the first one? Napier after the Mississippi State game last year. And then this one was Norville after losing to Climbs on Halloween, which did you see the Climbs in like 70 yard touchdown the ice that game? No, I did not. This is so sad, man. There's never ever a point in that run where you're like, oh, he's going to score. Josh Payne doesn't go live from a Red Roof animal shitty Wi-Fi. No, he's got a nice studio in Nashville, which start to put two and two together, dump fucks. Anyway, um, you tell the story, Sensei, South Care. You know what? I have a new weirdest. forget Florida, forget Florida, forget Florida, South Carolina, Dead, Done. Lenore Sellers finished. Now he's legitimately goddamn it. Am I all again? You're back. Lenore Sellers is legitimately playing at a Heisman clip right now. If Jeremiah Smith loses his grip on the Heisman in three weeks, he goes to Georgia. Can Lenore Sellers backdoor this fucking Heisman? That's how good he is. No. Could he backdoor the high? Can he? You want to look at the odds? Let's look at the that's what's like. Let me ask you this. Who's playing better than Lenore Sellers right now? He is. I don't even see him list down these odds. I don't even list it. I, I, I, I mean, Mess the Maker had messed, kindly Mess the Maker. I think he's been playing insane though. I agree with you. Listen, they have a backdoor path to nine and three and it sounds stupid. It sounds ridiculous. If you're talking about who's playing the best football and the biggest moments lately, Lenore Sellers is up there. I'll tell you what man, you go at, you go in the Norman and you shred their defense like that. You get a few cool guy Liam points. How many cool guy Liam points are you getting? The guy about eight today. Fuck me. Fuck me. Am I gonna Liam, can you host this show while I go while I go for it? Of course I could host this show. We'll get started with South Dakota State beating South Dakota like a drum. Our friends at Northwestern State lost again. Fresno State gonna take a 14 6 lead on group of six Darling, Oregon State. Oh my goodness gracious. Chat, did you see BYU and Arizona State go down to the final second again? Absolutely abnormal. We're getting 2024. I believe flashbacks, right? I got this, I got this too. Exile know if Brown's gonna want to talk about it. What Kalani Sataki and Bear Bachmeyer did in those final minutes to, they big balls, big balls, they issue. That's what they did. You know, they can do that in Provo, but they did that third and sixth run from Bachmeyer to set the fourth and one. They go for it on what their own 16, fourth and one their own 16. Get it. Bear makes a big throw after that. That team, they just got that Mormon voodoo match. It's super impressive. I start to wonder if the stadium was secretly built on top of a Mormon cemetery. And that's where they get all their good juju. I want to ask about two teams. Okay. Number one is Nebraska. If I'm an Nebraska fan, why am I comfortable with Matt Roll going forward? I mean, that's a good question. My buddy put a great thought into our group chat earlier saying Matt Roll the Baylor. I didn't talk about that. Like Matt Roll comes to Nebraska for, he shows fleeting moments, but you just can't lose at home to this Washington team. This is a bad Washington team. It is a wretched Washington team. You can't lose that game. You can't score seven points. And every sent, ever since the first half against Indiana, Nebraska's look like Matt Roll and Nebraska. And that's garbage. That's a garbage product. There's a lot of layers to this one. They, they're leading in the fourth quarter against Indiana. Lose it. They're leading in the fourth quarter against Oregon. Lose it. They're leading in the fourth quarter against Washington. Lose it. That's three string. They could be a, you know, they're right. They actually could be a, you know, but that's who they've been since Matt Roll this year. They're always leading. Yeah. They've been for a decade now. They find new ways to lose the same way. Now there's another one. And this one isn't as bad because it's first year. But are Kansas state fans happy with year one under Colin Klein? They got, they, they, I hate excuses, but they could use the excuse train a little bit. They were on like QB three and QB four today. Fair enough. But when you catch them and when you're on the road, do you, do you go to overtime or you take your shot with a two point conversion? If I'm an honest man, I think I could get the overtime and take care of Colorado. I would trust my big dogs up front to be able to get done offensively and just run down their throats. Okay. All right. Well, let me tell you about Fox one. Obviously Fox one has the big name check off today. It was, I believe it was Indian. Wasn't Indiana? No, that was a two-thirty game. It was Wisconsin. Iowa. My God was constant poor things. And that's a guy that you haven't been very high on. Luke fickle. It seemed like he had the momentum last week. It seemed like he had everything going his way. And they go to Iowa. And Iowa has owned that program to a level that nobody else, maybe it owns anybody else in this country right now. And that is how, how much they own them. Let me go to, let me tell you all about where are the ads looking in my email? Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're right. It all goes down to noon. Big teams, big plays, big news, Saturday, streaming live on Fox one. Roveries, upsets, chaos, whatever happens you're watching it live. Football at noon, streaming live on Fox one. You can watch three days free. Big noon, Saturday live on Fox one. Watch three days free. Offer a subject to change, see Fox one for complete terms and conditions. BFW's horrific backdrop makes it a macular hair pop even more than usual. Thank you. It's very beige, isn't it? It actually the beige backdrop quite the, quite the beige backdrop. Oh my gosh. You know, should I plan, should this plan trip have gotten planned for me in football season? Maybe not, but we'll see. We got it. We'll, we'll, you'll find out tomorrow what we're doing. Carolina versus George is going to be a massive game. Yes, yes, yes. Before I get to who won the week, let me sure, make sure I got everybody. No, wait for us, 51, 7 over Virginia. Find somebody who likes you as much as wait for us loves blowing out bad ACC teams. And you're unbelievable at it. They just good the shit out of everybody. Good for them, cry to them for doing a year where a lot of teams are playing with their food. Yeah, you're right. Everybody else is out there struggling. Everybody else is out there needing moments and they're just fucking destroying teams. They might get that second crack at the U. Oh, yeah, they're going to get it. I mean, all it's, well, even so, hold on. No, no, if they lose to SMU, they would have two losses. SMU would have two losses. So they'd lose that spot to SMU, right? Yeah. Yeah. Oh my gosh. They play Mayor Mack next week. Who does? That's funny. Respect. All right. Let's do the winner of the week and the winner of the week is always brought to you by Reese's, the official candy partner of Barcell Sports. Be a winner. Go get a Reese's. Reese's is a winner. I like the old peanut butter cup. I can't wait. I can't wait to get home and say because I know my youngest kid went out tonight, trick or treating. And I'm just going to say, I might just do a Reese's counter. How many Reese's he got? Because I'm just going to destroy them all. We got a lot of great candy. But Reese's is the official candy partner of Barcell Sports. And you can be a winner if you eat Reese's. And that's why we do the Reese's winner of the week. Liam, who's your Reese's winner of the week? I'm going to go with coach bumps North Carolina state. Let's go. Doran Baylor. Let's go of Miranda. Both teams with big blowout wins this week. Good for them. Not Reese's winner of the week. It's got to be USC, right? You want to talk about a coach who's up against it. And the coach who doesn't really have a lot of belief around the country, they just come out and handle Ohio State. Like last week they go on the road with constant ship pumps them. They can't score. They can't move it tonight. They were running the football. They had to tie it in with the 70 yard hurdle. I'm like, it was an unbelievable performance out of USC. The rain. It was just a beautiful scene there. And USC suddenly in a big 10 that's wide open. Why not them? Why not them to go to play off? So I thought USC was my most impressive team. Lord, you got me in a hotel. You got me with the Wi-Fi. Don't take my voice too. Please don't take my voice. Liam, don't take my voice. I don't know if I can handle that. I want to take your voice. No, no, I'm not saying you're taking my voice. I'm saying my voice is starting to go out. And I don't know that I like that. I can't handle that. Liam is the most impressed. Liam, who's the most depressing team of the week and feel free to really stretch this one out? Yeah, I got to know what? No, I can't say three because I might take yours. Say as many as you can. I can't. Okay, cool. Let's start off with the other day. James Madison. They're coming in to the middle of October. They got three chances Thursday, Thursday, Thursday games. Let's show on a national level on national television. Back to back to back Thursdays. We're good. No, they're not Billy Napier made poor decision after poor decision after poor decision, not green Greg, not blue burns. James Madison would have been a really bad group of six representative and their fans have every right to be angry about what they're seeing this year. Oklahoma, I, I, I, oh, no, I don't know what the deal is with a few programs extending guys. And then those turn out to be the worst extensions ever immediately. TCU's won. Say thanks lucky they beat Kansas today. Oklahoma, they extend Venomal Venomals. They're given up 50 brain, much to South Carolina at home. This is supposed to be one of the most vaunted defenses in the country that we are supposed to fear. And then you look at Wisconsin off the heels of a big win in a game that should be an ugly slot fast. And they weren't right. They look like a West Coast team was going out to play on the East Coast for a morning kickoff. What a dud. They should be done with fickle. I've had a couple depressing teams there. Number one, how about the Mississippi State Bulldogs who are just continue to be the laughing stock of the country without Camario Taylor? If I'm going to say Ohio State shouldn't fall apart without the quarterback, I got to say it about Mississippi State. Swan Pucket doesn't matter. Just go out to Texas and just useless. Ever since the-- I don't know how many actual points Mississippi State has scored one of the game in the balance since the Alabama first half. The last time Camario was kind of healthy. Jeff Libby is now 3 in 19 in the SEC. He also inherited Camario Taylor. Camario Taylor was committed in sign before he ever got the job. I don't know. It's as bad as I can remember it. We started off 4-0 last year, ended up 5-7. That could happen again. It's depressing. It's bad. It's terrible. And it has to be better. I don't know what you can do. I don't want to blame him for Camario getting injured, but like everybody's hurt. Fluff both worlds hurt now. The whole team's hurt. Every good player we have has hurt, and we didn't have that many good players. And that's depressing. And why should Ohio State be one of the most depressing teams right now? They're on the brink. They lost earlier in the season at full health. Now they lose with their quarterback out. Hey, you still got to win three or four more games. You still got to go out here with Fahey and Fahey sucks. Fahey can't do it. So do you have a coach you can do it? Do you have a coach you can figure it out? Do you have a quarterback on the roster? Because it's pretty depressing. If you're going to in a big 10, is this winable? You're not going to win it? Because you didn't recruit a backup? Pretty bad. Pretty depressing if I'm Ohio State. Liam, what was the most bad-ass thing you saw today? It has to be. It has to be the Minnesota kicker and the Indiana kicker. Duel in six the yarders in the final 20 seconds of a college football game in a sport. Like a loan college football. How about the NFL, too? Where you can't trust the guy to make it from 29. You're still feeling the nerves. 29 with like three seconds left. You're still thinking, oh man, they're going to blow us. They're going to botch us someone. And it's operations going messed up. These two units, these two kickers, convincing makes. I've never seen anything like it. We'll never see anything like it again. The most bad-ass thing I saw. First of all, that was the first thing I ripped down. It was incredible. Great TV, great drama, great everything. Same one thing for Indiana. If they're not as good as it were last year, they have tremendous drama every single week. Just as compelling as you can get a college football game. And I don't know his first name. I don't remember-- is it Max? Max Bowman? What's Bowman's first name? What? Whoa, what are you saying? Let's hide in for USC. Mark, Mark, sorry. I didn't know you were going to him, sorry. Yeah. 70 yards. In the second half, I think they need a score to really exert some pressure. They hit him. He hurtles the guy. And then when he lands, he breaks it and tackling, runs through a guy. And then he drags a guy 10 yards. One of the most impressive individual plays I've seen in all year, maybe the highlight of the year. That was the most badass thing. Just a fucking incredible play by Bowman, the tight end for USC. Yeah, that was a one-of-one generational clip. Like it's insane. Sorry, I thought you were talking about someone from Indiana or something. No, it was some of the USC tight end. That's why I said the USC tight end. Yeah, I miss that. We're both playing hurt. Yeah, we're playing hurt with Wi-Fi or our voices. We're doing what you can, guys. What's your I told you so over the weekend? I don't have one. You don't have anything? No, I was complete. Dot all week. I don't have to end up. I was wrong about everything. Some Zach one says the Mark Bowman play a sixth on the ESC, the sports center top 10. What? What are the five praise batteries? Jesus Christ. Anyway, my I told you so, which I didn't have many this week. It's Northwestern. I laid out three teams the other day that I thought are a little bit full gold right now. Kentucky Northwestern Wake Forest. Wake Forest certainly stuff that in my face. Northwestern did not. They went on the road and immediately lost the Oregon. I don't think they're actually that good. I think their record was good. They haven't beaten anybody. Their best win so far this year is a loss. It's to Indiana, a close lost Indiana. I think they're going to lose their next three. And I just I think Northwestern was fake and full gold. And I'm right about that. What's your hand up? I was wrong with the weak Liam. I I thought when he was at Georgia Tech back in the Pains King, I really thought there was something in there in Fyla. He tricked me, man. That he did the Max Broesmer interception. The Max Broesmer pick six. And made it worse, made it 10 times worse. How do you do that? And Florida is extremely normal. You talk about their updance, updance, updance. They are as normal as it gets in this sport right now. I was so wrong about Fylo. Very much wrong about Florida. Yeah, Florida is just weird. I don't know. And I thought Tremel Jones would at least give him a-- no, it didn't matter what the quarterback was. But I kind of wonder, did it matter who Georgia was playing today? Or were they just going to do that to anybody in the country? Because they got embarrassed two weeks ago, had it by weekend. Whoever they showed up against was going to do that, too. My hand up, I was wrong, award. It goes to Texas Tech in Arizona. I thought Arizona would go out there and beat him. And if you told me the cast of the honest is going to play, I would double down on that. And I would say, well, he ain't beating Arizona. He's not going to do it. I know I mentioned to it. I alluded to it earlier. But I love when coaches and teams play into it the right way. So I'm sitting there after the game. Texas Tech does the-- they do the thing where they clip me. And they put me in the social media clip. And that's all good. And then Joe McGuire texted me this picture. It's him smoking a cigar, giving me the ale. So hand up, I was wrong. I messed up on them and they nailed it. They nailed it. So good for them. Do you have your top 10 players of the week? I do, Brenda. What you got? Nate Shepard, five more touchdowns for him. A few of them from a yard or two out, what they do. But another impressive performance for them. Cool for Ross and College today, too. They scored two points. Good for them. Isaac Brown at Louisville, 12 touches, 172 yards, 4 touchdowns. Hank Brown. Any time you get an I will quarterback to go up against a Wisconsin defensive to any defense, in particular, would be quite else. It goes 20 to 24 for 2, 22 and 2 in front of John Groen and Jake Mouse. Yeah, you got to give them their flowers. Hank Brown stepped up, made some big time, throws in key moments early in that first half. Hunter Andrews at Utah, tied in five for 1, 12 and 2. He is a force today, always is. He was kind of under producing, going in this game. Now Dylan Raiola, look, man, the easiest guy to root for in the sport to me is a quarterback who was given up on and trashed. He's able to find a way and bounce back. And then Nebraska came and outputs together. A really good game against Northwestern with a big fourth quarter, 22-31 for 3-36 and 3, with a big time throw at the Corey and Moore. Seal it. Lenora Sellers, how many players are playing better than him in Brown Walker's eyes? Nobody, it was 1924 and I for 3-1, 3 touchouts, two picks. 13 carries, nice, 6-2 touchouts, he is an animal. Kemper Hodges, Brandon Walker. Kemper Hodges, 35 carries, 200 yards for touchdowns. Air force, they need their quarterback to complete a pass today, because why would they mark Bowman the jaw-dropping 70-yard reception is something that will be instilled in these brains forever? Eastern Messer, 16-189 and 3. He's got eight touchdowns in the last two games at Florida Atlantic. Justin Poe, the safety at Troy, three interceptions, two pass breakups, have pick six to spark the Troy, second half, come back. I did these 10 before the Oklahoma State Iowa State game ended. So Cret the Flora and Mess the maker for ballin' out, too. The chat, I'm just going to give you some of the chats as you missed on. Can I only say you missed on Caleb Hawkins? Yeah, he balled out. The chat says no Chris Cole mission is criminal. I mean, Chris Cole score another touchdown. He's a freak, he's a muted. Yeah, can I just say there are some defensive guys who are just going to go without saying every week, even if they don't show up in the box score, which he did today. But like Chris Cole to me and Colin Simmons when he's healthy, or more, if they play, if they play. that week. They're a top 10 player in the country, so don't worry about us saying Chris Cole or whatever. Chris Cole was unbelievable. He was amazing, but like this is more about the guys that it is a more about offensive guys because we're just kind of looking around and we're looking at stats and we're looking at affect on game. Chris Cole could be on this list. You could sharpen him every week. I think he's one of the best players in the country. Yeah, I purposely left Chris Cole off the list because I felt like it was redundant. Yeah, like every single week he's making a play. He's so goddamn he's so big and when the balls on the ground, there's not many guys with his size at his position and when the balls on the ground, he's thinking of scoring and he's always thinking of scoring when he picks it up and he almost always scores when he picks it up. It's very impressive. Chad, you guys just keep spamming guys I mentioned. Nate Shepard was the first guy says name. Yeah, you said Nate Shepard. Come on, play for me. Yeah, I say Nate Shepard every week, every week last year too. Yeah, Illinois Rock, U69 says Nate Shepard at five touchdowns. Why not mention him? You're you're stupid. You're very dumb. You're ugly too. Um, anyway, that's that's what we got. That's our worst. Do you have a, do you have a, what are we doing? The Oklahoma on sidekick is a sad encapsulation of how that's going over in Norman. Just miss the ball. Did you see it? Yeah, I saw it. It's one of the worst. I'm trying to think I'm a little bit off right now. So, so I want the Chad to help me. There's a commercial that keeps playing during college football this year. And college football always has the problem of very specific target targeted commercials that play over and over and over. This one is is new this year. And it pisses me off. And my what are we doing? What's going to be this commercial? Let's all get together right now brainstorm what commercial do you guys think it could be? Because I didn't write it down. I didn't write it down. He did write down bread though. Um, what commercial could it be? It's, it, it's not liberty, liberty. It's not liberty. That one's been around. It's not signaling not smile. Oh my gosh. There's now I can't remember it, but there's something I get mad about every time it's on. It's not, it's not Sydney, it's not the progressive Uber commercial. What is it? Oh, I get annoyed by the AT&T one where the guys like we're a strong family strong families live together. God damn it. Dang it. What is I need a commercial more than I need air to pop up right now. Just look at the chat. Nobody can get it. Nobody can get it. Uh, no, it's not Burger King. No, it's not the Burger King. Domino's Buffalo. Wow. Is anybody have one that? No, never fan, fans fell rocks. Fuck, I hate them all. Um, I hate the happy commercial. No, uh, next saving Home Depot. No chicken muffles. No, my least jealous Cyrus Peloton. I don't like. I'll just have to figure it out. I'll figure it out next week and I'll bring it. And that'll be the first thing I'll talk about next week. I'll talk about it Monday night whenever I think about it. I'll think about it as soon as I'll leave my head down to sleep tonight. Anyway, uh, Liam, do you have anything else? No, no, sorry. Well, we got to talk about Tony's Cajun kick from Tony Shasseries. It is, uh, not replacing the old Tony Shasseries, which is a spicy, delicious, fantastic thing. Uh, it's seasoning bill for people who don't do mild. It's replacing salt and pepper. It's a brand new blend from the people at Tony Shasseries. You can go to Cajunkick.com/barstool, uh, you can get a Kroger associated retail grocery as Walmart associated retail groceries, you get a H.E.B. Rouses, places like that. Um, you know, if you're making chili, if you're making chicken tenders, whatever, if it usually calls for salt and pepper, give it a little kick, give it Tony's Cajun kick. Uh, it is fantastic and good stuff. Shout out to Tony's Cajunkick. Once again, uh, Cajunkick.com/barstool or you can get it your look like H.E.B., your Rouses, uh, and all of those, uh, Kroger associated groceries, Walmart associated groceries. So, uh, shout out to Tony's Cajunkick for sponsoring the show. Um, Liam, give me a thoughts on the show. Is it the Windows commercial? No. No, it's not, it's not six. It's not signetting. It's not signetting. Is it a car commercial? Wait, it just went through my head. Shout out. It breaks on it. It breaks on it. I lost it. I lost it. It was there. I lost it. I lost it. What is it? All right. I'll lead off the show Monday with it because it'll come to my head as soon as I lay down. Um, guys, tonight wasn't, wasn't my best. My voice is out. I'm a little sick. I had to travel last minute. Um, in Nashville, Bloodman sick. So I apologize, but we'll be better next time. We'll be back Monday. Um, that'll be it. Um, lay anything else? No, I, I'm mad. I need to know the commercial too. I'll think about it. All right. Lukey, shut her down. That's the brand of Walker Tells football show. It's not making up. No.
