I'm Father Ralph, and you're in the Red Room. Tonight, we're going to hear from the hires, Ryan, Brady, and Sean Hire, from California, but now all Floridians. They're here to talk about being the biggest contingent from a family. And more, we'll also hear from Caden Hickey and Evan Greer, Steadstreshman, soon to be Ed's managers, and, well, doing a whole lot more. With, we'll have good news and weather with Logan, with my visiting co-host Drew Nickel. All of this is happening now in the Red Room. What's up everybody? It's good to be here. Drew, welcome. He's filming in for Zach. Yes, you're filming it for Zach. Zach is incapacitated. Unfortunately. He was wound up with classes as we kind of get to the end, and all of a sudden, I said to myself, you know, I think I know who could step in and fill those big shoes. And here I am. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I totally understand where Zach's coming from. It's a chaotic time, as a student here at Notre Dame, but happy to be here. It's going to be a lot of fun. And you're natural because you did a podcast. Did you not? I did. I did a podcast with my best buddy, Cam, back at home. Yeah. I'm not going to tell you the name because it's not the greatest thing ever, but we did do it. Talked a lot of sports and fantasy football is a good time. So it's fun to be back by the mic. It's good time. Well, it's good to have you here. And because, you know, why? Because now we can tell all of those great stories that have been percolating up ever since our last taping. And we do have quite a show today, but I do want to talk about Thanksgiving. How was your Thanksgiving? It was a great Thanksgiving, just at home with a fan. Southern California. Southern California. So, you know, 65 to 70 degrees. Not quite that time period, but it was just sunny. A lot of golf was played. Really refreshing break. The day itself was good. The food was good. I hadn't seen them out of stuffing. I love stuffing too. It's, you know, it's actually a polarizing dish, which I'm talking about, but like a lot of people don't indulge in stuffing, don't like it. I personally really enjoy stuffing. It's one of my top five for sure. Wow. Maybe top three. Wow. Top five might be a stretch, but what do you not like? The green beans. He's got green meat casserole. Anything else? Yeah. No. No. Like, there's only so much stomach space. I'm not going to eat green beans and, you know, waste that stomach space. They're just more valuable items on the table. Yeah. You know, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to say beans are the second worst thing that I don't. What's your number one? Number one is yams. Can't eat yams. Okay. I never even tried it. I get no thank you. And some of the course in our family Thanksgiving made it. I was like, I passed you. Would you like something? No, I would not. I'll eat green eggs and green ham before I use that. Pass it right on. Pass it right on. Pass it right on. But my niece is a fella who is 17. I told my sister that she did not like turkey. And then my nephew doesn't like turkey, but he likes ham. So they had ham, they had turkey and then they got a rotisserie chicken for my niece. And the funny thing is I found out that rotisserie chicken was probably one of the most popular options for Thanksgiving this year. That's really interesting. I mean, I love getting a rotisserie chicken, but I wouldn't guess that. I wouldn't either. I'm a purest. I'm like turkey, ham berries, pumpkin pie, pecan pie. I like pecan pie. You know, you know, but like let's keep Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. Stick to the classics. I agree. I agree. But a rotisserie chicken, you know, it's not a bad idea. Yeah, look, it's no the white meat. It's another white meat. No, you had no problems getting home, did you? Okay. So I was fortunate, but Evan, one of my good buddies here instead, not so fortunate, had to spend the night in Chicago. A lot, a lot of flights got canceled delayed. It was kind of chaotic coming in, especially if you were connecting going into South Bend Airport. Oh my God. Brutal. I mean, what happened? Oh gosh. I mean, there's a lot of snow coming down. People coming in from all over obviously. And I don't know. There's upwards of 1,400 flights that were canceled delayed somewhere on that area. So everyone was kind of like, oh, maybe school gate canceled. We'll see. Didn't happen of course today. Never canceled classes unless it's something severe. It's going to be cold, it's going to be cold, cold temps. But yeah, no, that Monday morning was pretty interesting. I did my, my first class at 9.30 in the morning about half the class was missing. And I was like, oh, can we cancel this one? That would have been nice. Well, lucky you. I, uh, I had, I, it took me three days to get home. I meant, I was meant to return on Saturday. I was in Omaha and the storm came through. Um, they said it's not going to happen on Saturday. Don't even try to, we can't even rebook you on Sunday because everyone's traveling. And then on Monday, they, when they had me going out, the flight got canceled or delayed. And I finally got home on Tuesday. That's, yeah, I didn't know that, that's brutal. Yeah, you know, I like rotting, but I don't like rotting that much. That's a severe amount of rotting. It was. And I, I need, I need, I need action. I need, I need to do things. And so I was, uh, I was, uh, was it, uh, at the back and call of my niece and nephew, I was at the back of their dog, Winnie, who constantly wanted attention. Uh, and I loved Winnie. Of course. But, uh, you got to love a dog. But, um, anyway, uh, I'm glad to be back. I'm glad Thanksgiving is over. I don't want to get on any plane anytime soon. No, that's, that's, that's, that's fair to say. I just don't want to do that. But, uh, but you know, all of this, though, when I went home, uh, I was a little horrified. Uh, I, uh, I, I, I stay with my sister and brother-in-law and my niece and nephew. And when I went into the house for Thanksgiving, uh, and I went home on like on Tuesday, uh, they had the Christmas tree up. Oh, man, before the Christmas tree. Yes. Before Thanksgiving even happened. The Christmas tree was up. Now, there was not just one tree. There was, there was two trees. There was the show tree, which people could see. And then, and downstairs, there was the family tree, which had all the crazy ornaments, like the glass burrito that my niece wanted to have. So the trees already decorated it. The tree is decorated. Oh, it's interesting. Yes. What are your thoughts on that? I was a little taken back. I would be, I mean, me personally, I believe that the tree, all the festivities, they got to start after Thanksgiving, because you can't, you don't want to overdo it before you need to enjoy the fall, Thanksgiving season. Be thankful, you know, grounded and fallen and right when that Black Friday hits, I think it's totally valid to push Christmas, like go full out, go full set up the tree in Black Friday. You know what I mean? Enjoy that. By Sunday, Cyber Monday, you've listened to every Christmas song, like that's totally cool. That's cool. Um, but my family honored that this year, which I was happy about. I mean, honestly, we had Thanksgiving up and then that Friday after that's when we started getting going with the Christmas stuff. Yeah. That's my take on it. I would be, I think that was the same thing with my parents, like it came up, you know, right after Thanksgiving. And what I really don't like, and I don't know, maybe it's just because of my line of work, I don't like putting up an activity set and having baby kisses show up. He should show up, you know, on Christmas day. Yeah. But anyway, that's us me. But no, the trees were up and it's like, are we celebrating Christmas or bringing Thanksgiving? And I'll tell you folks, here's something I felt, and now I understand what was going on. I didn't, like, I had a great Thanksgiving. But I was like, I just wish we could go right to Christmas. Yeah. And it's so, I think psychologically, my sister got me all out of whack with the trees and stuff. And like, and it was hard to come back, since it says a little bit, but after the delays, I was like, give me out. Yeah. I'm ready to go back. I want to go back for two weeks. I want to go back for three weeks. But you know, I was like, look, holidays stay in their lane. Yeah. You know, I totally agree with you about that. We don't celebrate any other holiday before it's due time. So I think we have to treat Christmas the same way. Even though it is the best time of year, the most wonderful time. Okay. So, so you would say Christmas, music, and decorations the day after Thanksgiving? Yes. Yeah. I think that's, I think that's where we should be. Though I did see decorations in California up on November 2nd. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I think all the malls, the airports, they have everything decked out pretty much immediately after Halloween. Yeah. I remember that like driving by certain malls on the way to school when I was in high school. Everything was set up pretty soon after. But you know what? It puts you in the holiday spirit and it's not too in your face. It's not like you're seeing a bunch of Christmas trees. So, yeah, as long as they hold up on the trees and the music, make it tasteful, not obscene. Yeah. Yeah. They start to start to like, I don't know, wet the taste buds a little bit. I got it. Yeah. Chum the water. Yes. Chum the water. Yes. Well, also too. You know, this Christmas season, you know, it's going to be very special for us here at Steads. You know, I know people, you know, can think about Christmas. It's, you know, overeating, overspending, overriding, you know, in some cases. But this is going to be a chance for us as a hall to help others who are truly in need. And we have a very unique way of doing that. We're going to be doing a program called Men for Men. And it all stems from helping people, well, being a man for a man. And, you know, how's this all going to work? Or why? Well, I had an experience in our hospitality center in Phoenix over the summer, Andre House. And we feed and clothes, clean like five or six hundred people a day. And one of the days, people get to go in and get new clothes. And I remember just being just embarrassed and just forever, just whore, just haunted by this. A young man in his late teens asked me for a pair of underwear. And he didn't, we didn't, I couldn't help him because we didn't have any. And I was absolutely shocked. You know, like, oh my god, this is a basic item that I don't take for, I just take for granted. And here is someone who is a teenager asking me for it. And we don't have it. This is insane. I remember that a man asked me for a belt. He was like in his mid 60s. We didn't have a belt. So, you know, we did, I'm, I'm fashion something out of twine. This is ridiculous. I said, we can do something about this. And so we are, you know, and we're doing men for men. I mean, like, who can't give a pack of Amazon underwear? Who can't give an Amazon belt to someone who is in need and be a man for another man in need? You know, the nice thing is we've got it all set up and it all goes through Amazon and it goes right there for immediate distribution. And you know what, Drew? You know what? Everyone will be recognized for whatever little small contribution they give it because someone has provided us with this Christmas tree ornament, the King of Hearts, which folks was the design of our freshman orientation shirt. That's right. King's of campus. For a welcome wait. It's true. Is it? It's pretty awesome. Not only are you a King of campus, not only are you a gentleman, but you're a man for a man. Man for a man. Don't you think, don't you think that's, you can't make it any easier. You really can't buy a pack of them. And you're doing something for someone else. Super selfless, good cause. Yeah. Awesome. And you know, the funny thing is folks, we're going to put that on our blog. You're going to hear about it in our podcast. You're going to hear about it again in our blog and in other different ways. This is something that, you know, we all can step up and do. And maybe if you don't do it with us, do it somewhere else. Because remember, you know, people aren't always looking for the newest electronic gadgets or the bespoke clothing or whatever else. Some people are just looking for things that you and I maybe just take for granted, but it means the world to them. And here's an opportunity for us to deliver. So let us be men for men, women for women. I don't know. Absolutely. But you know what? Hopefully every, every gentleman will do his duty to King and Hall. I think they will. I think we'll come through. Oh, yeah. That's great. We're going to see the Christmas tree. And you'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. But you know, what else we'll see? Have you been over in the Morrison lately? Have you gone in the lobby? That's not. Because a lot of people study in there. Really? Okay. I didn't know that. The calls the living room, they call the living room of campus, which I think is a generous might be a stretch. Yeah, yes, might be a shot. But Cafe Jay, you ever go to Cafe Jay? I mean, the one time I was probably during like, what was that? The rally? The rally? Yeah, that's right. If you go over there, I happen, you know, I try to warm up as I walk around campus. I walk through buildings and they have the Gingerbread Expo going on. And I don't know if it's really Gingerbread as much as it is a sugar monument. They have the Basilica of the Sacred Heart built out of sugar cubes. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. I didn't know that. Yeah. Do you think we should do like Gingerbread, like decorating here at the hall? That can be kind of fun. I love Gingerbread house. It's just, I don't think it's going to be as intricate as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. It's not going to look at anything like that. Well, I don't think it's out. Well, it'll be a masterpiece in this old way. Yes. You know, it's a thought that counts, really. Yeah, it really is. I don't know. If you could, if we could do a sugar cube, expose it here, it says, what would you build? Oh, gosh, that's not, I probably just built Father Eberd. I'd probably build it. So, say what's all? Yeah. Okay. I'd probably, no, I'd probably build him. Oh, you'd mix some Father Soren. Yeah, I'd just build Father Soren. Okay. Okay. I like that. Yeah. You know, it'd be tough. You know, you know, I think what I would try to do is I would try to capture, I would try to capture a stained glass window instead. That'd be cool. I'd hand paint the sugar. I mean, it'd make it easier to, if you're just standing on it. It wouldn't have to be funny. You'd recall it all that. And then someone throws a couple of water on it. Yeah. You know, yeah. There it goes. There it goes. I'm not, I must admit, I'm not a fan of going to Christmas scene gingerbread stuff. My niece and nephew dragged me to one in Omaha. And I remember like, I was like, it was like trying to give cat a bath. You know, get me out. It's like, come on, kids. Let's go get some ice cream. It's very clean. Yeah. Let's look at the gingerbread. But anyway, all right. So no gingerbread for you. No, I, I mean, I guess not. There's only so much you can do gingerbread. And it's not like the greatest cookie either. So it's like, I don't know, it's, it's multifaceted. But no, I, I like gingerbread. Yeah. I don't know. Notice your reaction. It's not, it's not a bad cookie. It's just like, if I was given a different cookie, I'd take the other cookie. Wow. Okay. I, I, maybe it's the, the inner tuton, the German in me. It might be, but it's, you know, it comes, it comes from Nernberg. And I love a good gingerbread cookie. If it's, if it's a warm gingerbread cookie, that's like freshly baked, I would definitely enjoy that. Okay. I'll take that like the cold gingerbread. You're just taking a piece of the house. It's like, okay. No, I, okay. Okay. Okay. I'm, okay. I'm, I'm keeping my powder dry here. Okay. Thank you. All right. All right. Our first guest tonight are none other than the hires. Not one, not two, but three hires. That's right. We got Brady Hire. We have Ryan Hire. And we have Sean Hire. We have two brothers in the cousin. Oh my gosh. Can we go any higher? I don't know if we can. I don't know if we can handle anymore. I don't know. I mean, if you get my sister on the podcast at that point, if you get four, we can get four hires. I think we would need Hire. I don't know what to do. We might crash the bird at that point. That's right. Okay. I was just remarking, you know, you guys, I know you, Brady and Ryan, you guys are California transplants. Correct. You know, Drew is from California. Yeah, the connection. I mean, obviously the California vibe here is strong. I've since the presence. I haven't felt since. But now you guys have, you've packed up and moved. Correct. Yes. We have. So I was originally playing baseball last year at the University of Tampa. Oh, get out. What position? Shore saw. Oh my gosh. Until a sad tragedy happened, three games into our season. I ended up tearing my ACL. Oh no. You know, there's other ways of getting an attention. Please don't. It was just the most viable option for me at that point. So I had already committed to play baseball there. And then my dad actually ended up getting a job there. So it just worked out perfectly. Oh wow. So then it just made the move from one coast to another coast. Exactly. Now we're not going to ask you what coast is the best coast. Well, we'll see that for another episode. It's west. So now you get to join your cousin. Sean and Florida. Yeah, they do. I mean, it's been a pretty cool experience. I was all sudden, I mean, I knew about Brady going to college at U Tampa to play baseball. But then Austin, I heard one day that they were moving to Tampa. And I was like, is that a joke? Because they've been talking about it for so long. And at this point, I just kind of all lost hope. And yeah, I know. But I actually believe that this time once I heard Brady was going to U Tampa. So that made a little bit more sense. And that was awesome. Just I get to see him more now. I only really got to see Ryan during school and then the occasional family event like a wedding or something. Christmas. But now I'm to stuck with them forever. But it's been awesome since you're stuck. You're stuck with them for another couple of weeks here before he goes off to have his European occasion. Oh, you're going to your own. I may or may not be going for a six month vacation at the beautiful location of the University of Galway in Ireland. That could not be more exciting. Yeah, that's going to be a great tarp. Oh, you're telling me about it. Sounds like a time like a go at an SEC school. Yeah. So I can cut you off. Sorry, you're going to ask a question. No, I'm just like, what are you planning on doing there? There's a lot of stuff to do in Ireland. I'm sure I don't. I've really looked into that much. But so there's there's about I think 20 or 25 kids from Northern England, including Quinn Littlefield. I was DJ DJ Slam shoulders going. Indeed. Well, you know, it's not a funny thing to find out during the podcast. Wow. Absolutely. So we're going. We're going to live together. Obviously, I feel like you have to go around Ireland, go up and down the coast, calm more Abby. The usual suspects, as some may say. But we would also love to ideally get in the ski trip. And we're thinking maybe somewhere in the ups. That'd be one of the kind experience. That'd be sweet. I should say so. Yeah. Yes, don't it. It's a world away from the skiing here in Michigan. This is true. I've heard great things. I was looking to have not much to be found. Some hills made it. Folks, and he says it with a straight face too. You can't see if the Drew is going to straight face when he says, I've heard good things about it. Yeah, no, there's not much right now. Guns and good snow in the last couple of weeks. We have. We know it's been great. Yeah. Yes. Now, now all of you, you come from those warmer climbs that everyone wishes they could be a part of. You know, Florida, you know, we all wish we could be Californian. How do you deal with the snow? This is like more snow you've probably seen for a long time. Yeah, you know, I mean, I'm still dealing with it and adjusting. Obviously, this is the first time I've lived anywhere with snow for like an extended period of time. I'm sure you guys had similar experiences maybe if you were in California for a while. So overall, I'm just like still in that early phase where it's like, I wake up and I'm like, wow, this is so sick. There's snow outside. I think mid-February will probably be the part of my life. This has to go away. But as of now, I'm just, you know, enjoying it. Wearing my heavy coats and stuff, I feel like a true Midwestern person right now. So yeah, I find myself in the exact same situation right now just because I transferred, but you know, I will still walk into their room sometimes like, whoa, guys, it's snowing even though they've been dealing with this for almost three years now. So yeah, I have a feeling it's going to be a rude awakening in February. Oh, I think it's a rude awakening now. I mean, it's only the snow in that feeling where of wow, it's snowing outside could last forever. Yeah, yeah. It's definitely cold now. It is cold now, news. It's going to get cold air folks. So you think it says cold and someone's like, will they shut down the school for the snow? No, they will not. They'll shut it down because it's too cold. And I've been here one day where these cancel classes three days in a row because it was minus 40 degrees. What year was that because my parents had one day canceled in their four years of college here. And it was minus 75 winchills. Okay, okay, we didn't get that cold, but we had minus 40 winchills for three days straight. And unfortunately, you know what was even worse is that they announced a three day closure on Monday. I was like, no, a breakfast nightmare. No, announced every day. No, we're going to school them all. Whoops, second, no, no, second thought, we're not. Okay, okay, we can stop studying, you know, holy cow. I'm not going to go down that path, but again, but anyway, so we're all dealing with the cold in our own way. It's fun until someone falls down on the ice. And when you wear dress shoes and stuff, I'm always afraid of that. And, you know, I don't want to wear boots. Don't ever wear boots. I don't, yeah, don't not. Well, that's stylish. You've got stylish shoes. Those are cool kids. Yeah, these are my snow shoes. I'm wearing just some basic street new balances. And I've fallen victim to falling on the ice a couple of times. The first snow, and was that early November? Yeah, like that. That caught me off guard maybe a week. Yes, yes. And I remember the next morning going to class. They hadn't like salted the sidewalks or anything yet. And I was walking with my breakfast in one hand too. So I'm like, you know, me on like my cup and wasn't looking where I was going. And like, cartoon slip fell like a lot of my back. I was like, hope nobody saw there's people everywhere. So did anyone come to you to rescue? No, no. Yeah, I'm sorry, this is going to go to sidebar here, but I'll tell you the first time I ever fell on campus was when I was a grad student and I was driving a bicycle on God pod over by Crowley Hall of Music. And my bicycle wheel kind of went off the path, the cement. And so then I turned it back on, but it got caught because it was the ground in the cement, which is a little and I flipped over and I fell off my back, landed on my back in front of a couple on a bench, a guy in a gal. And I'm there on my back. And they rush over and they're looking at me and they said, are you okay? I said, oh, I'm fine. I think I think my ego is broken and they smiled and I got up. And I like, but anyway, enough of falls, enough of falls. I have to ask, get back on target here. There's so many of you hires here. You're kind of like a clan here. Like don't go against the family. We're trying to build an army here. It's a slow, but steady process. So how did you all get here? Now, remember Ryan, you got here because I cut in line with you at the airport in South Bend. And then that was a very important day. So that's how I got to know you. And then we pulled you in. You did. We took care of business as it should be. Yeah, and you won that soccer championship. It returns folks. The ROI on a higher is very high. It tends to be high with a higher. Go ahead. How do we get you shot? So I'm the same. Someone left the door open. I feel you two might have left the door open there. I was a gateway. My freshman year. And you know, it's kind of a water insult. I didn't know where I was going to go. And then, you know, towards the end of the year, maybe like early April, late March, Ryan introduced me to his fellow Steads buddies. And we just hit it off like. Wow. Perfectly. It was all sweet getting nonetheless. Oh, mom's weekend. Oh, wow. First night we were at Salsas. And it was great. It was awesome. Yes. Got to meet all the Steads guys and their moms. No less. Yes. The hospitality there was just awesome. And it was almost like they just adopted me as a fellow Steadsman. And then two months later, Ryan had kindfully asked for me to pull me into St. Ed's. And it's just been history since it's been nothing but awesome. Wow. Brady, how do we get you? Yeah. So as you guys know, from earlier, I was playing baseball last year. But I had taken multiple trips up here in the past. One of the couple, FSU, Indiana, it was a big game. Yeah. Love my time here during Indiana. But that was a fun time. It was a great time. It was a great time. It was a very fun time. But that was that was a memorable that was a memorable Friday. It was insane. I was like classes and finals ended on Thursday like at 11.30 at night. And then the game festivities started at seven o'clock in the morning. I mean, insane. It felt like a Saturday, but it was a Friday. Awesome. And then the game was over. And then it was Saturday and like, yeah. There you go home. Go home. But I think I'm up here for the blue and gold game. And what was that March of last year? And did a campus tour and just really loved it. And I was like, you know what? I might as well apply since I was gonna have to do a whole another year of recovery, but I might as well come spend another three years with my brother in cousin. Yeah. It's great. Well, I'm glad you decided to do that because we got you. Yes. Okay. Wow. Wow. Wow. And would you would you change your decision? I would not. No. Not for the world. Don't worry. You're among friends. You can say that. No. Still never. Okay. All right. Cool. It's worth it. I'm sure. That decision is worth it for now. It's worth it for now. Exactly. Exactly. I'll say about it. Yeah. We'll figure that out. We'll see. Right now it's been worth it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So now what's going to happen now when the clan higher breaks up? Because you're going to be leaving. So are you going to become like the the patriarch here now? Oh, I've been doing that for a while in a higher clan. I'm on the truth page. I love it. And you're the you're you're not like tall like these two giants. No. Shorpa. Shorpa deadly as I would say. Yes. There's somebody usually getting yelled at in the family like grandpa. It's me. Whether that's golf out of these dinners, family gatherings. I've always side eye. But it's it's all it's all good. All of. I always love you know they always say you always heard the ones you love most. You know that's always tell my niece. Not even that fine. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. So so he's going to go away. You're going to remain and you're going to remain. So what how you going to fill this void? We know with no Ryan around. That's that's a great question. We haven't got that answer yet. I think we're just going to play by year to be honest. It's definitely going to be a tough tough shoes to fill. Well, maybe you guys might need to go over to Ireland. Maybe we should do the podcast through. We should take it all the road. We are on the road going to Ireland for spring break. There we go. Maybe we could we could do Southwest go there. Okay, that's okay. I got to claim. I don't think it's fast. Okay, so here's where I am. That you did. I'll get this on early because Mr. Carson is going to be my third. Carson's got to go on. He's my he's my doctor. But here's a question. You know, Drew and I have been asking earlier on and I got to ask, you know, we're now we pass Thanksgiving. When do you think is the appropriate time to put up a Christmas tree? The day after Thanksgiving. I second that I third that. Okay, the day after Thanksgiving. Okay. Okay. We're keeping a rally running tally here. Okay. When can you play Christmas music? All the day after Thanksgiving. It's about to take. I like that. Okay. My family, they started a little early and it was bothering me. I don't want to be sick of it by Christmas. I think you want to enjoy the season. I believe you got to keep it special. Yeah, absolutely. Because you can only hear all I want for Christmas so many times. Yeah. Before, you know, it's kind of like having like a sugar overload. Yeah. There's a lot. I remember one time, I remember my first assignment as a as a priest. I was in Phoenix, Arizona and we had so many Christmas goodies sent to us by the end of Christmas. So happy for him. And he seems okay. So fingers crossed right now with all the playoff scenarios that we get in, but it was definitely a definitely a different game watching experience, staying at the 2AM to watch Notre Dame game. Wow. Yeah. I know. It was crazy that that kicked time so late. I mean, I was lucky in Pacific time, but like Eastern time 1030, that's got to be, it's got to be fixed. That's my point. That's ridiculous. I mean, seriously, it would be such a baller to watch like our natty, capable team playing like the pop tart ball instead of being at the college football playoff. Pretty good. So that's cool. Other Notre Dame news last night. There was a pretty awesome basketball game in the Perseult pavilion. A lot of people went. I unfortunately did not. I wish I did. We beaten a No Missouri team 76 to 71. We beat Missouri. Yes. Late push. Marcus Burton had 18 points. 10 assists. Double double. Wow. That guy's a stud. Um, co asserted 14 points. 17 minutes. So that was awesome. Gosh. And if you guys missed it, November 12th, hand of the dog. I you guys know I'm a scout teamer at this point. I hope you do. If not, I practiced with the women. I actually practiced with them yesterday. Um, so big fan of Notre Dame women's basketball. Um, hand of the dog. No November 12th, 2025. She scored 44 points and set a new NCAA D1 record with 16 steals in one game, which is unreal. So if you ever watched that tape, you should go watch that tape. They'd be that current like 85 to 58 wasn't close. So that's all the Notre Dame stuff after now. Well, okay. Well, let me answer a question. Uh, you, you're a scout and we've, we were on earlier in the show a taping, uh, an episode earlier this semester. Um, now, uh, have you been re, I don't know if you can talk about this, but, uh, so you practice with them. Yes. I mean, have you gotten any bruises? Or have you got any nods? I've been dying to know. I just don't know. And it's all, it's all for the game. Love the game. Love the game. No, yeah, they, I mean, obviously they're going hard and our job is to ultimately push them to be better. So yeah, there's going to be some contact here and there. Haven't been bruised up too bad, which I'm fortunate about. Um, but yeah, there's the occasional Charlie horse, you know, knee to the quad or something. I don't like, you know, a lot quasi little sore from yesterday, but, um, no, nothing too serious, which we have to be thankful about. Some of, uh, my fellow scout teamers have not been as fortunate. We've had, I think it add up to strain and, and this, like, a sprained ankle. So there's been, there's not a couple injuries, but I've been healthy, which I'm fortunate about. I'm not always so lucky as to be healthy throughout a course of, you know, extended period of time with basketball. So we'll do it all right. We're hanging in there. Well, you know, hang in there, kid, uh, for the love of the game and for the love of the team. And, uh, you know, I, you know, I could never do what you do because, uh, one, I don't have the height. But I'm a scrapper. I'm a, I'm a power forward, really. I, I, when I traveled with the basketball team as a chaplain, I used to say, Hey, to Harry Goody, I know your problems. I used to be a power forward to. Yeah. Yeah. He laughed. He laughed his head off. But, uh, I, I bruised easily. Yeah. Yeah. Bruised like a beach. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Oh my gosh, folks. And he's funny too. Uh, right. Well, okay. So that was, that was sports with Drew. Yeah. Wow. Don't you like that, Drew? Pleasure. It was a pleasure. That was a lot of fun. Yeah. I can't wait to do that in the future. I like, I love when Drew does sports. I did too. Yeah. He just, you know, he delivers it. He, you know, it's like he, he's got, he's, knows what game he's got and he just brings his A game and he makes a shoot. He connects downtown and trush. It goes right in. It's all net from downtown splash. Yeah. Downtown. Yeah. Yeah. Our parents know this. It's like, I watch sports every day. It's not a chore for me. So I'm just regurgitating stuff I can do every single day. It's a lot of fun. Well, we like definitely not a chore. So you keep that up. Okay. Uh, now I think it's time for a little bit of weather. And, uh, you know, what? I got the weather. You got it. Yes. It's cold. And folks, it is. Oh, he got it. It's all going to be cold. And, uh, you know, it doesn't look good. Uh, the five day, uh, the 10 day forecast. So we have here, thanks to Apple weather, uh, has us one of our highs for the day is 24 degrees. Um, and there is going to be snow on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Uh, so folks, the snow that we have is not going to be going anywhere. No. But you know what this, you know what this is though? This is great weather to study. It is good study weather. I think GPAs are going up even though the snow is coming down. Honestly, snow falling actively while you're doing work. It is, uh, it is a fun way to get worked out. I don't know. I don't know. Something about it. Just like this cozy. It just encourages you to stay inside. Yeah. Stay focused on your work. Yeah. Or Instagram meals, one of the two. Uh, so yeah, no, it's fun. Well, you know, Drew, it's that time of the show.
