happen to anyone right well it's especially interesting when it's all about these allegations about the roommate I mean the roommate was arrested apparently he's already had like 10 infractions with the law but this is the kid okay so this is her son he's like 20 years old god help me on these names Adnan Hirsi Adnan Omar Hirsi here he is with uh you know daddy Hirsi so this is the father of Ilhan Omar's son and daughter I guess she's divorced from him now because you know she moved on to Timmy Minet and um you know she also moved on from the the first husband was this the first husband I actually think this was the first husband and then she had that little interlude with the second guy that she officially married that is believed by the president of the United States to have been her brother and of course Shady Vance has also told us that she committed immigration fraud and they're just looking at what the ramifications and justice would be for that so they're pretty convinced of that we also got word from the president the other night that there is indeed an ICE investigation going on into her alleged immigration fraud so this was I guess the real McCoy this was the romance which produced two kids one of whom just had his apartment raided and they found weapons that they seized and they found ammunition that they seized why does he have weapons why does he have ammunition I mean you know I I'm the second amendment advocate and all that but I'm just kind of wondering what you're doing in Minneapolis with the weapons and the ammunition Etc and this roommate that has 10 infractions already I mean you know allegedly kind of incidental stuff like driving without a license but you know that that kind of thing adds up and you factor in the weapons and the ammunition so this is the roommate he's um oh goodness good luck to Trish Regan on this name I'm gonna try though you know I'm gonna try Abdullah Raham Abdullah Raham we're gonna go with that Abdi he's 22 years old he's hanging out with Adnan Omar Hirsi and you know you just kind of wonder what kind of company everybody's keeping so here's the story that came to us courtesy of the Daily Mail that's where I saw it first police raid home of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son as guns and ammunition are seized police oh she hates those police in Minneapolis right wasn't it defund the police police in Minneapolis reportedly raided the apartment of Congresswoman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son and seized firearms before arresting his roommate the article continues law enforcement sources told Alpha News that a search warrant was carried out at the home of Omar's son Adnan last night and according to the outlet they recovered guns and ammunition I don't know if they were registered guns or unregistered guns but guns and ammunition from the home they seized those guns they seized the ammunition they arrested the roommate Abdul Aran Abdi 22 years old now earlier in the day the city's police department had said in a statement to the Daily Mail that they conducted a traffic stop and they cited Abney because he had no proof of insurance and no license the department said that Abney was released at the scene and the vehicle was in the process of being impounded when a firearm was found inside because I guess you know you're in the Somalia circuit you you're right around shotgun uh with a shotgun officers later tracked Abdi to an address on Marquette Avenue where they said they arrested him without incident Abdi was later booked into Hennepin County Jail on a weapons charge before being released Wednesday night according to records whoo my goodness I mean you know I just gotta say she she might be given Leticia James with all those cousins and nieces and aunts and whoever she has you know in those various homes he um said she wasn't making any money off of anyway uh she might be given Leticia run for her money in terms of the relatives here I don't know this kid um what is that a dress is that a religious costume of some sort I don't know here he is with his dad again uh the ex-husband of Ilhan Omar she's had a few of them apparently not a very good muzzle because you know between the winery and all the husbands and now the guy that's got the uh not just the winery well he doesn't have a winery to be fair maybe she's just fine I don't know I don't know the rules uh but he also had a few cannabis businesses on the side too you know there's all cash businesses they come in handy especially when you want to have access to the whole wallet Network where you basically are able to transfer cash without a lot of people knowing I mean that's why you saw more money coming out of the Minneapolis airport in a given year than any other airport in the country I mean massive massive amounts I think the total that they found over a two-year period was somewhere around was it 700 million dollars it was outrageous anyway this uh roommate is in a bit of trouble still has been arrested again uh you know her son has some interesting friends now my question is who did the weapons belong to this guy or Adan Adnan we'll go with Adnan here see who did they belong to and then my other question is why does he have the weapons and the ammunition and of course you know my fear is and you know you can have weapons and ammunition believe me again you know I'm from live free or die New Hampshire it's on my coffee mug for goodness sakes so uh I'm a big Defender of the Second Amendment but in this case in light of what we know I have a lot of suspicions a lot of suspicions about the company he's keeping gangs if you would I have a lot of suspicions about um well you know concerns about I think you know I'll just say it okay you know we have a lot of concerns about this hate that's coming from one side and you know who it's directed at so when I hear guns and ammunition and you know in light of my friend Charlie dying as a result of this hate Etc it kind of makes your head ask some questions right and that's what we're asking right now a few questions about Ilhan Omar her son the company he keeps we know he was not arrested I should specify that he was not arrested but his roommate was arrested and when they raided his home the son's home they found all this ammunition and all these weapons and they seized them so I have a lot of questions and this is a developing story I should point out this is a developing story and as we go through the show if and of course tomorrow if we have more I'll bring that to you as well um but Ilhan I'll just say this you know what not a good look not a good look for you not a good look I mean especially when you told us over and over and over again that the police were the problem right the police were the problem how many times was arrested and it's a restaurant that your 20 year old son frequents and you got very concerned tell us about that because the fear comes home from others whether they're members of Congress or not yeah I mean it was it was uh last Friday so this is last year December of last year and she was upset because her son had been she thought targeted by ice interesting she's doing this in front of a Christmas tree you know I I just find it a little bit ironic but anyway we we go on uh and you know uh typically my son goes to Friday prayers uh with his friends and then they all go and eat at their favorite restaurant in see the Riverside and I knew You know, I saw videos earlier in the day from Representative Mohamed Nour and others that they were, the ICE agents were in Cedar. And so I kept calling to see, you know. Calling him, your son. Yes, calling my son to see if he was okay, if he had any run-ins with him. And he wasn't answering and eventually that night I did get a chance to talk to him and I had to remind him just how worried I am because all of these areas that they're talking about are areas where he could possibly find himself in. And they are racially profiling. They are looking for young men who look Somali that they think are undocumented. My son was born here so it was the young man that they harassed. And he did say, you know, they did come into the masjid while he was there praying. They didn't do anything. They came into the mosque. Yes, yes. And they left. And then yes, he did see them at the restaurant. They just walked around and kind of left. But yesterday after he made a stop at Target, he did get pulled over by ICE agents and once he was able to produce his passport ID, they did let him go. So your son went to Target last night with his passport. Mm-hmm. He always carries it with him. In case he gets pulled over. Yes. Which he did by ICE. Okay. All right. Well, ICE said no, that didn't happen. Like she's making the whole thing up. Because they record every single person they pull over. And if you produce a passport, they got a record of it. And so she got confronted at the time. I'm just, I'm showing you this because you know that this is coming, okay? You know this is coming. Oh my gosh, they targeted my son's friend. That's what she's going to say. And they're targeting my son. You know, it's, this is, this is absolutely what we're going to hear out of her. But you know, look, she said it before and she got confronted. In fact. She's like, yeah, lady, no one has any record of this. This is just your word against ISIS. You've said that federal immigration agents actually pulled over your son on Saturday and asked him to prove his citizenship. He is of course, a US citizen as are you. The department of Homeland security says, and I'm quoting them, ICE has absolutely zero record of its officers or agents pulling over Congresswoman Omar's son and have accused you of seeking to quote, demonize ICE as part of a PSA. I'm quoting them. We are stunned. They're words. What do you say to that? Well, if ICE is saying that they have documentation of every single person that they have pulled over in Minneapolis, we would love to see that record because we've certainly myself and the governor have been asking them to share information with us on the ways in which they have interacted with Minnesotans and they have not been able to provide a single information. So it is amazing that they're able to put out this statement definite in saying definitely that they did not pull my son over when they haven't been able to answer anything else. And ICE has been known to lie when it comes to their enforcement. So they're lying. And you know, again, I remind you the son got his apartment rated. She's going to be furious about it. The roommate got arrested. They found ammunition. They found weapons. I'm questioning whether the weapons were even legal. I have a lot of questions, a whole bunch of stuff. But back when her son was apparently targeted by ICE, she went on and did this big media circuit. And then when this one reporter, Nicholas Balancy, caught up with her in the halls of Congress and asked her a few more questions, I mean, maybe it's just the low IQ thing, as the president would say. I don't know. But she's contradicting herself all over the place. Listen, was your son intentionally targeted by ICE, you think? I don't think so. She told us. What do you think transpired? I think he was shot. I think he was shot. I think they were just stopping some young men who looked Somalian. He certainly does look Somalian. Oh, so maybe they were targeting Somalians, maybe not necessarily her son per se. But you know, I'm just checking because it sounds like they were targeting him because he was Somalian. So I'm just trying to stay consistent, Ilhan. Something that you rarely do. I mean, we have only to look at your tax records to see how inconsistent you are. I mean, you want to talk lying? I mean, I'm just going to call it for what it is. Someone was lying on your tax records or on your congressional, I guess they aren't even official tax records. They were just her congressional reports where she's saying on the one hand, I'm worth 30 million. And then on the other hand, no, oopsie daisy. I'm only worth around 100 K. I mean, that to me is an abomination. And I'm frustrated. Look, we just got Todd Blanch in there. We know it's been confirmed. There is an ICE investigation going on into her citizenship. My big question is the money, the money, the money, the money, okay? That's what I want to know about. I want to know about all her husband's businesses, whether they're legal or they're illegal. I want to know about whether or not they were participating in that Hawala network that was sending $700 million back to Somalia. I want to know if she was getting kickbacks because her sister's over there in Africa. And it is connected to the entire feeding our future thing because she had her address listed as one of the fraudsters. I mean, there's a lot of connectivity, shall we say? And now we find out that the son has a bunch of weapons in his house and ammunition. It does not look good. You know who else it doesn't look good for? La Monica. Oh gosh. She got some really bad news. You remember this lady, right? McGonagall, MacGyver in the red. Woo. She's the other lady. Oh my gosh. So the Biden appointed judge has sent her on her way, possibly to jail for 17 years. Whoa. My gosh. Did you see that? Whoa. She literally like just deliberately wow. Okay. We're going to watch that again. Cause you know, I can't get enough of this. Oh my gosh. Look, look, look, look. Lady in red. Boom. Woo. And again, she comes back for more, right? I think it happened twice. Okay. So LaMonica had tried to appeal this thing and LaMonica was like, this is unfair. This is my freedom of speech. I was just doing my job and the Biden appointed, whoa, judge is saying, gosh, no, that's not your job. Okay. You know? You can't like go out and start punching ICE officers. That's not your job. I hate to break it to you. I mean, it's like a carnival cruise ship there outside the Delaney center in New Jersey. Whoa. And you know, just so you don't have any doubt, this is a woman who's a, a little feisty. We will not take this. We will fight back. Fight back. Fight back. And as I close out, cause I know we've been out here for a long time. And God damn it shut down the Senate. We are at war. We are at war. Just in case you didn't hear the first time. So LaMonica, um, you may be at war, but you're not going to be able to really do much from behind prison bars because that's the upshot of where she's going to soon be heading. Let me share with you the news that's just coming out last night. New Jersey representative LaMonica, you know, I love saying that McIver's immunity defense rejected, rejected by court after arrest for assaulting ice officers at Delaney hall. The speech or debate clause does not protect a blanket, does not provide a blanket protection, forgive me, over all things in any way related to the legislative process. So that's what she had been saying over and over. That's what they were all saying. I mean, Cory Booker was defending her. Hakeem Jeffries was defending her and I'm sorry, but this lady's going to jail 17 years is what she could possibly face. Three count federal indictment, assaulting, resisting, impeding and interfering. Forgive the typo with federal officers, maximum potential sentence up to 17 years in prison. If convicted on all counts and the DOJ has charged her with this as she's pleading, not guilty. And she's saying, this is just politically motivated. This is my speech. Speech or debate clause, separation of powers violation. And guess what the judge said? No can do. The judge said, and this is a Biden judge, right? Wow. So this is just, it's unbelievable because the Democrats, I mean, they are so crazed and they are so TDS focused. That they were actually trying to defend this and I'm sorry, but there's no way to defend it, right? Like how could you possibly defend this when the lady in red is pushing and shoving and then actually, you see that now there's one, there's one towards the end where she actually really reaches out and just kind of socks it to him with her right hook. Okay, here we go. Yeah. I mean, it's one thing if you're like moving along in the crowd and you get swept up and you're just like getting pushed. But when you go over and you go, boom. Yeah. So Cory Booker, Cory Booker tried to defend her. know that he is a couple things well first of all this hits home with me more than ever because i have la monica mcgyver a congresswoman that represents the city of newark she's going to trial soon on again a case that should have never been brought for her doing her job at delaney hall something you've covered a lot doing her job i mean again doing her job i'm not sure quite what doing your job means if if you are out assaulting federal officers i'm really i'm really kind of troubled by that um i'm perplexed by it and she thinks that you know this is all fun and games and that you know she's able to do this because she's just representing the people and she's looking out for the people inside and here's another one this is a different assault video 'and she's getting an altercation there with the ice officer see she's using her fingers she's putting them right in that lady's face wow and you know it's it's getting uncomfortable and they're trying to they're trying to contain her but she's got all this rage and it's uh it's not good she had a chance to plea and she didn't take it as peace of my mind and she didn't take it as peace of my mind They are the worst. And they feel entitled. And just we can't have that. Ted Cruz keeps teasing. Oh, we got to go back to that. Ted Cruz might be running. President had something to say about that. That's coming up. But first, independence for Alberta. Listen, you know, they're they're interested in this. They're very, very much interested in this. And Carney is using, according to some in the White House, including Howard Lutnick. I'll play some sound for you of him today. He's pointing out the sort of political card at play. In other words, Carney is trying to unite the rest of the country all against Donald Trump. Maybe he thinks Alberta will be happy with this because Alberta is going to be like, no way, Jose, we don't want to deal with these heavy, heavy tariffs. And maybe then they get angry at Trump. But I also think that that's sort of a wild card because you've got a lot of people in the U.S. government talking to Alberta. I mean, I've heard that the Treasury secretary would be very happy. If Alberta went on on its own. So if if Treasury and other folks in government are dangling this opportunity for Alberta to come over and either be fully independent or heck, you know, our 51st state, then that becomes very attractive to Alberta. And that makes it really difficult for Carney. So I think it's a bit of a wild card. But, you know, as you try and understand, like, how is it they had a deal and how did it all suddenly fall apart? That doesn't make any sense. But Howard Lutnick is trying to piece it together. He's the head of the Commerce Department here today. Listen, and then you have Alberta has an independence resolution. These are elections in October. So he's making this a political thing for Canada. And my guess will be as soon as his elections are over, you're going to see a plane full of Canadian negotiators find out, go, come on, come on, we'll give it to you before your election. This we're just being used by them. Right. That's what happened. That's why it ended. That's why it ended. It didn't happen for math. The math was sensational. It was a great deal that we shook hands. Yeah. So they shook hands. They had a deal. And then all of a sudden, poof, you know, it just went up in smoke. And they're saying it's because he saw this opportunity to say, oh, we're at war with America, trade war. America's trying to own us. You know what I say to that? Oh, boy, you know what I say to that, right, guys? Yeah, I'm laughing because Texas Gidget writes Trump's 5D chess. You better believe it. Yes, this is 5D chess. You know what? We already own Canada. Carney, you know, that line, it's kind of lame. And I'm sorry to all my Canadian friends out there. And I'm sorry to anybody up in Canada. But here's the reality of it. I mean, we kind of own you in that we're the only ones that buy your stuff. OK, who do you think is your largest trade partner? Here we go. You're the only one that buys your stuff. You're largest trade partners. Here it is. All right. Take a look at this. Seven hundred and fifteen billion dollars we did in trade with Canada in 2025. I mean, we're like way out, way out ahead of China and everybody else there. Way, way, way, way out. And then here's what I also wanted to look at, because, you know, I'm such a nerd and I love numbers and I have a financial background. So this is, you know, I walk out on this stuff. I wanted to look at Canada's exports. So it's one thing to say, OK, we have a big, big because we trade, you know, together. Seven hundred and fifteen billion dollars. But check this out. Their export market, like who they're selling to. This is why I say, yeah, you know, Carney, you can go on and on and on about, oh, they're trying to they're trying to own us. And I'm like, take a look at the chart. We kind of do. Four hundred and three point seven billion dollars you exported to us. That's how much stuff we buy from you. OK, we buy four hundred and three. Well, call it four or four, for goodness sake. So I'm going to round up four or three point seven. It's four hundred and four billion dollars. And the next best is U.K., but that was kind of an outlier because the U.K. was buying a ton of gold throughout twenty twenty five from Canada. Not normal. And then China's on there for twenty four point six billion. So we're doing sixteen times. The volume in terms of buying all your stuff that China does and you're going to bank on China, you're going to bank on the rest of the world. We do two point three times as much buying from you as the rest of the world. So you know what? We're buying a lot of energy. We're buying a lot of energy, which is why I get back to is Alberta next? Is Alberta next? Right. Because Alberta is going to say, gee, we don't like these heavy 50 percent taxes and we're not going to be buying their oil anymore at 50 percent tax. So business is going to be lousy and Carney's going to go down the tubes and go down fast. Anyway, it's all complicated stuff, right? Which is why we're lucky to have a good secretary of state right about now. Rubio, Rubio for the gig. And he's been doing a great job at a great, great job. You saw the news yesterday. He said the USA is shut. Rubio shutting down any new visas. No immigrants coming to this country right now. No new ones anyway. You're not going to come here and live here. I mean, wow, that was really big move. Okay. Historic move. Well, Rubio, is he going to run for president? Because, you know, when you think about the world right now and you think about what's going on with Canada and you think about what's going on with Mexico and we're trying to shore up the whole hemisphere and then we get, you know, the Russia stuff going on and there's news today I'm going to get into. Apparently the real reason the CIA chief went over there was because Russia is pretty serious about targeting a NATO ally. So all of this is going on. Meanwhile, you got Iran, etc. And we need a good treasury secretary. We need a really good secretary of state. So what does that mean for Rubio? He's doing a good job. Could he be president? When you look at all the numbers right now, it doesn't suggest he will be. So will Rubio run in 28? Some people say absolutely not. Sort of the prisoner's dilemma. And you consider that he's not exactly risk prone historically as a politician. I mean, he's very, he's very buttoned up, right? He's very, very buttoned up that he may not run, which would be too bad, right? Because I mean, heck, we got a lot going on between, you know, trying to get our hemisphere all in order, something I have believed in ever since I was in college and wrote a final paper on it in my international relations class. They thought I was crazy. Literally, the teacher was like, well, it's an A. This is back in the day when you could still get an A, even if you had a difference of opinion. But this is like serious Pat Buchanan stuff. I took that as a compliment. Thank you. Anyway, Rubio might just be not in the game right now because he's looking at these odds and apparently they're not so good. I think this is polymarket that we're looking at. 43% J.D. Vance versus 21% to Marco Rubio. Ron DeSantis still in the game. They're at 5%. Tucker, I think you can forget about him. I don't think that's going to be happening. But, you know, he likes to float his name out there maybe for publicity. You get Donald Trump Jr. I don't think that's happening. Donald Trump, 2.5%. Although, gosh, it would be kind of nice, right? Dare I say I'm going to get in trouble for saying that. But no, that's not happening because it's not within the realm of possibility vis-a-vis the law. And then Ted Cruz, 1.3%. He's actually really serious about running, apparently. So, you know, could it happen? Your country should reflect the national interest. Before we get to Rubio, could J.D. Vance just walk into this with no contest? I mean, you really think at 1.3% Ted Cruz is going to stick around? Well, some people think that Rubio is already out of the game. In fact, Ben Shapiro, who I have a lot of respect for, he's very smart, sat down with Patrick Betts-David, another very smart guy, and they were talking about this. And they said it's coming down, or Ben said it's coming down the prisoner's dilemma. He's really not going to run because he's not going to take this chance given what his odds are otherwise. Listen to this. I think it's interesting. You buy any of those stories that Rubio may not even run? Yes. You believe that? Yes. Why do you believe that? Because I think that the Secretary of State, again, he may well run, but I think it is unlikely in my own personal perspective, because if you look at his political history, he's a pretty risk-averse politician. So if you're Marco and you're looking at sort of the gaming out what the next few years look like for you, here you go. You're going to run. You're going to run. You're going to run for your choices. You run against J.D., you lose, you're done. You run against J.D., you win. It's a rough election cycle anyway, because the president's riding in the 30s, and the country's in the mood for a quote-unquote something new, and you lose, you're done. You don't run. J.D. may pick you as his VP candidate. J.D. loses, you're next. J.D. does not pick you, and J.D. loses, you're also next. So if you're sort of doing a prisoner's dilemma here, you know, a game theory prisoner's dilemma, I think that the prisoner's dilemma is going to suggest that Rubio will probably not run out of risk aversion. That would be a shame if that happens. I mean, I agree. I would like to see an open and robust debate on the stage between all of these various positions where people are actually held to account for their positions, because I prefer clarity. Cal, she's got DeSantis third. Who do they have next? Is there anybody else after DeSantis? DeSantis all the way down at 4.6, right? Yeah, 4.6. And Donald Trump is not running. Hucker three and a half. Right. And then back to Trump, who constitutionally cannot run. He's so funny. He says, I'm here to announce my- I know. two weeks ago he's so funny he is funny he's funny he's a very very entertaining and funny guy but so that's where we are okay when you look at that lineup and i think ben's making a good point there rubio is a smart guy and he's gonna look at the odds i mean the danger for him i'm gonna be really clear on this okay let me let me just emphasize this because in politics you have a moment and right now he's got that moment right like he's all the sort of energy that that i see i mean every time i run a rubio somebody i was just gonna run one i'll run it for you i promise i see a lot of response from all of you guys you're excited about him you like what he's doing you see that he's wearing many many different hats in this administration and he really seems to have his head in the game jd on the other hand almost feels like sometimes the fall guy um well you know it's kind of his role right he's there to fundraise and to go out and shake hands and you don't have as much responsibility as i would say secretary of state as vp so if you're marco you've got this great gig right now if jd wins and look i mean if he's up against kamala for goodness sakes or aoc i think that's a home run or even gavin newsom like he will win so if jd wins and let's assume he does then marco goes with him to the white house again and he's either secretary of state again or he's going to go to the white house but somehow it does position him for a future if he runs against jd and he doesn't get the nomination then he's not going to the white house likely right and that just you know it could kind of finish him in some ways so i think these are the things that he's looking at now my concern and the one flaw in ben's analysis from my perspective if i were advising marco rubio is you don't want to miss this moment you really don't so i'm going to you're doing well in the polls sometimes you don't want to peak too early i'm going to be honest right like look at donald trump nobody thought he even had a chance early on so you don't want to peak too early there's still plenty of time between now and 28 and so just rise steadily like just keep doing your thing keep doing your thing keep doing your thing and then when the time comes you can properly assess it but again properly assess it because you don't want to miss your moment everybody you know the wind you have the wind at your back everybody's excited about everything that you're doing people are excited about everything that you're doing and you're even seeing in the comments you guys are saying yeah you know you trust marco somebody said maybe jd feels too passive i would say marco doesn't have like there's no bs right like when he goes in front of members of congress and they make stupid comments about his shoes for example i mean he like he throws it back at them he just won't tolerate it and i can tell you i had him many many times and while jd is like really friendly and you know you kind of can just hang out marco is all business like all business right there's no small talk he's like room it's just super focused and he wants to talk about what he wants to talk about and you see this again like he goes on the sunday shows and he just shuts down reporters really fast and really hard and i think people respond to that i think people like it i think that that's why i keep hearing well i try to talk about it but i don't want to talk about it because i don't trust marco i trust marco so i think that he would be phenomenal on a debate stage i think he's kind of gotten a little more experienced you know i i used to joke every time i do a speech and i had to take a big gulp of water as i'm going to do right now i'd say i'm pulling a marco because i'll never forget when he gave the rebuttal at the state of the union that many years ago back in the obama days i was covering it for bloomberg and i was leading all that coverage and he was so good at it and i was like i'm gonna do it again and i'm gonna he was so nervous you could see it he was so nervous and then he had to take that big gulp of water you know and so it wouldn't matter now like he he knows how to deal with the cameras he knows how to deal with reporters so he's seasoned i think you're seeing the real marco rubio and i think he's astute and he's smart and it would be great to have him in the running if nothing else to really help sort of align all these republican positions so i would just say marco listen don't out doing your job just keep doing it well people notice they really do and it's getting picked up on and so just ride that momentum and see what happens and you know if jd gets it so be it but marco i think you still have a chance and i will say you know these odds are pretty good this far out 21 versus 43 of course he's a 43 i mean you're the vp and you know i like jd don't get me wrong i like him a lot and i think he'd he'd be terrific and he's got some uh good strong economic values that that i am very aligned with but i've been extraordinarily impressed with marco rubio as secretary of state and what he's trying to do is very ambitious he is trying to do exactly what my senior thesis was planning out and i said we need one big aligned western hemisphere to go up against basically what is the future right you're going to have a very dominant asia with china and you want to make sure that everyone here is on the same page this is why canada is so important okay this is why latin and south america are so important and this is why for a gazillion years i've been pounding the table saying get those oil assets in venezuela really the orinoco region which i've traveled to and i've seen and i know it's heavy tar gunky stuff that you have to spend a lot of money to refine but look technology is improving we have the technology already and it's going to continue improving and we want that okay we want that we want that country to be a partner with us as opposed to partners with china which is what was going on under maduro or partners with russia which was what was going on under maduro and marco knows it and gets it and he understands the dangers of communism okay with his cuba background he understands all of it and so latin and south america completely changing you look at argentina and the economic success they're having under argent under malay there in argentina there's an opportunity and so i want to see this continue so okay if jd gets it can we keep marco as secretary of state please or let him be both vp and secretary of state that would be a deal okay that would be a deal anyway i i i gotta kick out of shapiro's analysis there i think that he's spot on and that marco doesn't want to take unnecessary risks which is what you should also think about think about that guys as we look at all this international stuff going on like this is not just willy-nilly this is not like let's just throw stuff up in the air i mean it may seem that way sometimes with donald trump because he's like well you know and but there's a plan there is definitely a plan there's a plan that trump has that marco rubio has and they've worked this out along with treasury secretary of state secretary besant they are all on the same page with the plan but you know there's going to be a few in the mix ted cruz is one of them ted cruz is very interested in running i'll tell you ted cruz he's down there you know really kind of low on the totem pole but you know he wants to be on that debate stage and we'll see what happens i will say this it's funny he's even going on to msnbc i'm not sure why but he went on to msnbc and it was great i mean you should have seen the look on this i'm going to show you the look on the reporter's face you gotta see it because he dares to go on msnbc and say the following watch there there is an amazing irony which is donald j trump could go down as the greatest free trade president the country's ever seen now that does not seem naturally self-evident look at your face but what i've seen is when trump threatens tariffs our trading partners come rushing to dc saying let's open up our markets we'll slash our tariffs we'll slash our tariffs we'll slash our tariffs we'll slash tariffs we'll remove non-tariff barriers or they do what mark carney is doing and they slap on their own and they say they're under attack there are two ways to go if we go the first way if we take yes for an answer that would be a massive win for the country and so i i i talk to the president every week i've been a strongest ally in the senate for a decade um and and i'm urging him take yes for an answer expand trade that's good for farmers it's good for manufacturers it's good for jobs um um i'm stumped you know i can't believe somebody said something nice about donald trump on my air what am i gonna do did you see i mean her eyes were like saucers there her eyebrows were all the way up to her hairline wow um so anyway ted cruz wants to get in the game uh one of the things that he said on that interview as well was there there is an amazing irony that's not the right one when they were talking about jd vance let's see if i have this for you because he he kind of threw d a little bit of shade and i think is really dropping hints all over the place every chance he gets that he is going to be in this game okay here's newsmax had this story there we go and this was the quote that the gop is not ready to anoint vance for 2028 because he wants to be in there okay so everybody's like wow you know ted is really making one thing clear so the president was asked about it today let's watch Ted Cruz keeps teasing a 2020 presidential run. You've run against him for president. Do you think he could be president? What's your reaction to that? You say he's going to run? He's teasing it. He's talking about it. You don't mean 2020, but you mean. 2028. Yeah. I would say that he's very talented. He's a very good friend of mine. I think he might do that, yeah. Mr. President. He's a very talented. He's a talented guy. Okay, so he's keeping his options open there. You know, everybody should have a chance. He's joked about, should it be Rubio? Should it be Vance? And then he's allegedly, per one story, but this could be coming from Vance's camp, according to sources at some event, said that he wanted it to be Vance. We'll see. We'll see. It's still a long ways away. But one of the reasons Marco seems interesting is because we've got all this crazy stuff going on overseas. I've got to tell you, this news story out today tells me Pakistan is greedy. Greedy, greedy, greedy. Okay, great. You've been doing the negotiations. Frankly, they haven't gone that well. Therefore, we've got to hold someone responsible, right? And it's probably not going to be Kushner. So, Pakistan, you might want to speed things up a little bit. Pakistan is upset because, you see, we're looking at sanctions. We're trying to target Iran. We don't want anybody doing business with Iran. We don't want any of these trading partners doing business with Iran. And Pakistan's out there today saying, but we want to do business with Iran. We want to do more business with Iran. Well, guys, whose side are you on? Because while they're out there saying, we want to do more business with Iran, guess what else they're doing? They're demanding a credit facility. They want what the UAE is getting. You know how Bassan said, yeah, we're going to roll out the credit swap facility and you guys are going to have this backstop. And basically, you know, you can count on U.S. dollars to back up your currency, which would be a big, great deal for Pakistan because it nearly defaulted just a couple of years ago. I mean, it's in tough shape. It got a loan from the World Bank. The IMF came through with something for them. And now, you know, they're looking to the U.S. and they're saying, hey, can we get this $10 billion credit U.S. facility? And they're expecting a reply really soon. Well, if that's the case, then why are you out there saying we want to still trade with Iran? In fact, we want to trade more with Iran. This is what they're talking about right now. Pakistan says not bound to accept unilateral sanctions on Iran. Don't forget, we made it really clear. Bassan came out with Operation Economic Outcast. This is what he's telling. Anybody who does business with Iran, we're going to give you two options. We're going to tell you, knock it off and you can do that on your own. And then there's, no penalty or if you don't knock it off, we're going to look at penalties. And that means we may not do business with you. Ooh, that's going to hurt, right? Especially given how much business Pakistan relies on us for. I mean, us or Iran. What would you take? It's kind of a no brainer. Here's here's Bassan. Iran now faces a very clear choice with only two paths before them. Complete global isolation and a subsistence economy. Or a path back to normalcy with an opportunity to rejoin the global economy. Today, we are launching Operation Economic Outcast to foreclose every other option available to the Iranian regime. Treasury has mapped every node, every facilitator and every network that Iran has used to smuggle oil and evade sanctions. Beginning today, the actions of Treasury and other agencies, will tighten the noose and block every potential source of revenue that funds the IRGC and the evil Iranian regime. We are enforcing a zero leakage approach. There will be no minimal breathing space for the regime to rebuild its capacity to inflict terror against America and the world. Okay. Well, did you hear him? Pakistan? I mean, cause I, I think it was pretty clear. So now they're saying no, no, no. The only one who's in charge of this is the UN. Pakistan said this Bloomberg News article is not obliged to comply with unilateral sanctions on Iran unless they are imposed by the UN signaling a willingness to continue trade after the US warned of economic penalties against countries doing business with Tehran. I mean, again, not smart when you're looking for a $10 billion. I wouldn't really call it a bailout because that's what. with the left did with Argentina. It's just a credit swap facility, but you know, we don't have to give it. We really don't. And if you're going to go trade with the enemy, we're not going to. Here is the list. Okay. We're going right down the list, checking it twice. Anybody who is on that list and is trading with Iran is not going to be able to trade with the United States of America. So let's see. Pakistan comes in at number five and they're at. Approximately $3 billion. They're asking to increase it. They want it to be three to four times as much. They want to do more trade, not less, and they want the $10 billion. So like the Pakistanis, they're looking at this saying, I'm going to cash in. You know, this is our big opportunity. We're like the deal maker, except they're not. The deal's going south. Okay. We just took over the straight like it's not good for Iran. It's not good for us. And, and Pakistan, it's not good for you because there is no deal. And now you want a credit swap facility for 10 billion and you want to increase your trade. I don't think that's going to fly. I mean, I'm just telling you, you know, don't, don't, don't emulate Canada. That would be my advice. Do not emulate Canada because you don't want to be them. Period. Period. Uh, another reason why we're looking at, why it might be nice to have Marco there for awhile is that the CIA chief John Radcliffe touched down in Moscow on a secret plane yesterday and the reason we were all speculating about, I suggested maybe it had something to do with sanctions and maybe we were throwing them a carrot in Russia and saying, Hey, let's end this Ukraine war and if we end it, we will get you back in and the regular trading environment. And it would be nice, right? Because then you cut them out of the whole deal with Iran. Don't forget, you know, as we go down that list and you look at Russia being number six, we can say, Hey Russia, you know, don't trade with Iran. We'll, we'll open things back up for you. So I was hopeful that maybe that was one of the reasons why the CIA chief was going there. But according to a story in the wall street journal this morning, the CIA chiefs surprise Moscow trip was actually because he was trying to send Moscow a warning about China, about not attacking NATO. Now, normally I would just say, well, you know, whatever, but I think that they wanted this communicated. I think it was deliberately leaked to the wall street journal. I think it was probably deliberately leaked by Radcliffe and team. And I, I know Radcliffe and trust Radcliffe. I don't feel like this is, you know, Biden CIA or anything, but Biden CIA director flew over. That was the last time we had somebody going over specifically for a meeting at the Kremlin. And it happened just a few days before we had the Ukraine war breakout and they went over there to try to dissuade the Russians from attacking Ukraine. And so now he's going over there and allegedly for this report, trying to dissuade the Russians from attacking a NATO ally. Now we've heard this over and over and over again, right? Have we not now? I want to remind you, and this is why it's good to have smart people like Trump and Marco Rubio there. What have we been doing? We have been telling NATO over and over and over, get your fricking act together and pay your God damn. Excuse me. I didn't. I didn't mean to swear 5% okay. Just pay the fricking 5% because you need to build up your military and we keep telling them and telling them and telling them and telling them and they've just been the blowing us off. And now I think we understand the rationale and the reasoning because there's a real threat coming their way and we don't want to have to take that on. We don't want that burden. We need them stronger. When the president said I'm taking 5,000 troops out of Germany, basically F you Fred Mertz Friedrich who just, you know, pisses all over us and again I'm getting kind of animated today. This is what happens. My Irish gets up. You know, Frederick had to say we were being humiliated, humiliated by Iran and the negotiations were going so badly, et cetera. I mean Trump responded so yeah, I'm taking 5,000 troops out and I'm putting them in Poland now at the time and I told you it was not a good idea for Mertz to come out and say that and then he went on a whole bunch of shows and he tried to apologize and say nice things, et cetera. But it was too late because I think the president always wanted to take those troops out and put them in Poland and it has to do with what we're talking about right here because the CIA chief knows that there could be a potential strike on NATO territory relatively soon. we've covered here on this show when there was a strike in Romania and I guess two people wound up in the hospital nobody was dead nobody was severely injured but it was one of those you know missiles that went flying by and you know unfortunately it sort of you know wound up in Romania it wasn't they've had this incident in Poland as well but a lot of people in the intel community feel that this is just sort of they're testing they're testing they're testing the testing and things are getting a little bit out of hand and if they're getting a little bit out of hand then that helps to explain why John Radcliffe flew over there to try and do something about it it's interesting because just yesterday the BBC was very positive saying you know hey maybe something's going to come out of this maybe there's going to be an announcement on Ukraine I hope so the Wall Street Journal also putting out a story today talking about how this war is really entering a very very deadly phrase phase and I think that this is a nod if you would to where things could potentially be going. And in this deadlier phase it could involve more countries which again is why we need we cannot say enough or stress enough the need for Europe to put on its big boy pants and treat itself seriously and treat its military budget seriously because they need to be spending more they need to be equipped the New York Times putting an article out today about the CIA chief going over there and delivering a very bleak assessment of Russia's war in that secret Moscow visit they write the CIA director. I'm going to tell you what I think is true I am more inclined to believe the Wall Street Journal's version of this reporting from everything I've heard from my colleagues in the last couple of days and I'm going to give you a little bit more of an example of what I think is true and I'm going to give you an example of what I think is true. You know, I've, I've always, for the most part hosted my own shows. I've occasionally had a co-host at one point at CNBC, I had two co-hosts, but you know, that's, that's the, you know, that's, that's kind of the business and everybody wants their time to talk. And you have five ladies there that all want to talk. They all think they're the star and they hate your politics and they despise you. And they've already said a bunch of disparaging stuff. Oh, maybe we'll play this tomorrow. Remember when Joy Behar started going on and on about how, about how the only reason he wanted Caroline was because she was a 10. Although if you think about it, it was kind of a, it was kind of a plug in a way. I, anyway, they've been horrible to her. They've been horrible to her. And I think I know what this is about. It's the equal time lawsuit, right? Because, we told you yesterday, I actually led the show with this, the story that nobody's talking about. It's only in the trade publications. There's like a policy wonky publication that covered it, but nobody else is talking about this. The judge, Biden appointed judge said, yes, you can move forward. FCC, we're not going to throw this one out. The FCC has every right to ask Disney, ABC, all about their hiring practices and all about their equal time rules. And so one of the shows is very much in jeopardy. So what is the view doing? The view is trying to bring in somebody else that would represent the views of the president on that show because they don't have anyone. They don't have anyone. They never, but I'm just saying, Caroline, it's like four or five against one. And it's not like it's fun because they all hate you and they all want you off the show and they never want you talking ever because then you're taking airtime. I mean, they never want anybody else talking. Like, trust me, joy doesn't like whoopie. Doesn't like joy and joy. Doesn't like sunny and sunny. Doesn't like the one with the long brown hair. I mean, they don't like anybody. They don't like themselves. That is a miserable place to work in a very bad job. So unless you're getting some enormous payout, I don't think it's worth it, but they're going to pursue you because you know what? They have to, they realize that the FCC is hot on their trail. This news just came out that the Biden judge is telling them no can do. I'm not going to throw this case out. You guys are probably at least, you know, let them, have a chance to prove it. I'm going to say, I think they're in violation of the law. And you know, Brendan Carr is a dog with a bone. When you say things to take a fresh look at, what are you, what are you talking about? You look on the media side. I think there's no question that trust in media is an all time low. That's just not my opinion alone. Jeff Bezos did an op-ed recently where he noted how media used to be the most trusted institution in America. And for a long time, at least they could say we're more trusted than Congress. And now that has passed as well. And so I think there's a lot that needs to take place to restore trust and confidence in media. And there's a role for the FCC, at least on the broadcast side, for instance, they have to operate in the public interest. And I think it's probably appropriate for the FCC to take a fresh look at what that requirement looks like. So, I mean, is that signaling that others have said you've done that you're open to TV networks having their licenses revoked if they have a, for example, perceived liberal bias? Well, look, the law is very clear. The Communications Act says you have to operate in the public interest. And if you don't, yes, one of the great things about the consequences is potentially losing your license. And of course, that's on the table. I mean, look, broadcast licenses are not sacred cows. At the same time, when you think about media, separate the two issues, right? You've got the national networks, for instance, ABC, NBC, CBS. They provide a lot of the content that the actual licensed local broadcasts disseminate. And so we need to look at empowering those local broadcasters to serve. We talked about this before, because you have all the affiliates and you have all the O&Os and the big ones in the big cities. And ABC has like eight of them. And so those are the eight that may not get their licenses renewed. And the network is the content provider. And so they send the content out all to the hundreds and hundreds of affiliates all over the country. But the affiliates have a responsibility because they're using FCC airwaves to provide a service for the public good. And it's now being sort of effectively assessed that this is not a service for the public good, especially a show like The View. I mean, it's very hard to argue that it's not partisan. And if it's an entertainment show, then it actually has to provide those equal time rules. And so all of this is now up for grabs. So no wonder ABC's like, please. I mean, you know, I would say, Caroline, you could probably get a heck of a heck of a payday. I mean, I'd be like, I want a 30 million deal times five. Okay. So 150 million bucks. That's peanuts for them. Okay. Peanuts. Because they'll get to keep themselves on the air. So it's actually probably not a bad place to be because she could just hold them for ransom. And to do that show, you kind of need to hold them for ransom because it is not a fun gig. It is not. And they will not make your life easy. And so you need to collect every single dime you can. Trust me, it would be so much better to go to Fox. I mean, like, at least you'd have fun. And people would be nice. And, you know, I mean, you can say what you want about Fox. And I certainly had, you know, my issues there at the end. But I'll just say, you know, for the most part, it's a pretty good gig for a conservative. If you go to ABC, like, the knives are out. They want to kill you. So you need an ironclad contract. You need a lot of money. ABC can afford to pay you a lot of money because they're looking to kill you. To make sure that they save their hides. They want to save those licenses and they know that they are in violation. And the judge, the Biden appointed judge, like Loren Alicon. Look at this. I mean, this is a big win, guys. This is a big win for the FCC. She's like, no, I'm not going to throw this out. They were trying to get the whole thing just sent away far, far away. They said, oh, it's a freedom of speech thing, a freedom of speech. And the judge is like, no, not really. I the SEC has the right to ask these questions and they have the right to this investigation and they have the right to look at possibly revoking your license. So funny timing, right? The very next day we learn that what? Oh, they're kind of counting on Caroline. They're counting on Caroline to join them. And I would just say, Caroline, if you do, please make sure you get the biggest payday ever and that you put your money into some very smart investments and then you call it a day and you stay home permanently with those little kids, okay? But who's next? Who's going to be the next spokesperson for the White House? I don't know how that's possible, but they're doing a good job. Maybe you, maybe you. Scott Jennings, sir. Scott Jennings is good. That one right there, my friend from Iowa. But I don't know, maybe she doesn't want to. I don't know, maybe Margo. What do you think of Margo? Maybe Margo. I don't really think there's anyone else that could do that. I mean, maybe Alina Haba. She's not bad, but she's already taken herself out of the running. And again, like if I, if I'm looking at the whole field here, I mean, this guy has shown and proved that he can go on the air every single night on CNN, be the only entertaining person to watch there other than Harry Enten, who's not usually on at night. You know, the polls, sir. And he shoots down all these crazy libs one after another, after another. It's like a sport for him, right? So it makes sense. I mean, this guy is good. Democrats have made a huge mistake with Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. But I think all these races are going to be close. I think the Republicans do have good candidates and I think the Republicans are going to have plenty of resources. And I think they've got a story to tell just Friday. And we learned that for the first time in 60 years, prescription drug prices are falling. Every single politician, everybody here has ever worked for us, said they were going to do it. Trump and the Republicans finally did it. There is a story to tell and there is a bright line contrast to be had in this election. It's not good enough just to call them socialists. You have to say what you've done and you have to say what the impact of their policies would be. But I think we've got enough candidate quality and talent to do that. Smart. I mean, he understands the messaging because we've talked about this. The reason why the Democrats have gotten to the pickle that they're in, the reason why they got taken over by a bunch of crazy lefty socialists and aren't going to stand a chance getting them to the finish line is because they didn't stand for anything. They were just TDS on steroids. They were just anti-Trump, anti-Trump, anti-Trump. So you can't just be anti-Mandami. You've got to actually show a better system, a better path forward, something that people can believe in. You know, the Democrats didn't do that. Mandami, I mean, for what it's worth, he did. I mean, not my cup of tea ever. Communism is well proven not to have worked ever. But it was something different. It was something that was different. And I think it's a solution to the problem that Biden created, by the way. So when you have such income inequality and you have tremendous inflation. And, you know, at one point we were up at nine point six percent under Joe Biden inflation and everything's going up, up and away and people are frustrated. And all you do is sit there and yell about Trump and you don't offer anything different. I mean, Mamdami didn't yell at Trump. In fact, they met each other and had a nice little meeting. Right. Again, Trump is smart. He's taking his own advice, advice that Scott basically just gave to the entire Republican Party there on CNN, which is Democrat Party. You should stand for something. Right. Like stand for something. And the reason why you're in this predicament is because you don't stand for anything. Anyway, I think he's very smart and I think you do a very, very good job. But they will be tough, tough shoes to fill, as the president articulated. Is Caroline Leavitt replaceable? No, she's not. She really isn't. She's standing right over there and she's done a great job. But you have somebody in mind that she likes her children more than she likes Trump. I'm very concerned about that. It's a lot to juggle. Right. And you said you support that going back. Is there somebody you have in mind that you'd like to see up at the podium to take over? You. How about you? She could do the job. I think so. What do you think, Caroline? I like it. I've always liked you. That's why I'm doing this. I don't do this that often. I get off. I make a speech. Here I come off and we see Alexis. He was actually criticizing the Federal Reserve. Something new and different. And he really, he was done with Jerome Powell at the time. And he was delighted because he had gone on 60 Minutes with Leslie Stahl the day before and like nothing went anywhere. I mean, and I said, well, you know, 60 Minutes. And then he came on with me and the whole place blew up. Like every everybody was talking about it. He was getting calls from all over the world. And, you know, he he called me after. He's like, I like that. He's like, we actually we made some news. You know, if you're going to sit down and do an interview, you might as well make some news. Anyway, I think that I'll make some news right here. I think it's Scott Jennings and I think he's going to do a phenomenal job. As for Caroline, I don't think she's going to take that gig. I don't think she is. But if she was going to, my advice would be to get the biggest gig. You know what? We're talking football style contracts. OK, like what was the highest paid football player? I would be I'd be dealing with those numbers. And have a really good lawyer and make that thing ironclad. And try and get a lot of time off. I mean, if you have to look at whoopie every day.
